- 0:00Speaker 1: Now this is the Mark Simone Show on sevent ten.
- 0:05Speaker 1: Woor Well, it's gonna be very hot today. This will
- 0:11Speaker 1: be the hottest day of the week, heat waved day
- 0:12Speaker 1: to day. It'll get up into upper upper nineties. It's
- 0:16Speaker 1: already like ninety two degrees. It'll cool down down to
- 0:20Speaker 1: ninety two tomorrow and then should be okay for the
- 0:23Speaker 1: rest of the week as far as temperature. But very
- 0:27Speaker 1: very very hot today. So a lot to get to. Iran.
- 0:31Speaker 1: We'll get to Chuck Schumer, his bodily functions, horrifying people
- 0:35Speaker 1: in the Congress. We'll get to a lot of hearings today,
- 0:39Speaker 1: Jay Clayton, Todd Blanche, we'll get to Ice and Tom
- 0:43Speaker 1: Holman and Joe Biden has caved into the Democratic leadership
- 0:50Speaker 1: on something. We'll get to Crazy Mom, Donnie and his
- 0:54Speaker 1: disgusting shantytown. His homeless encampment goes for twelve blocks on
- 0:59Speaker 1: the West Side, absolutely disgusting. Get the legionnaire's disease and
- 1:03Speaker 1: daylight saving time, and a lot more coming up. And
- 1:06Speaker 1: we've been bombing around heavily all night, just pounding it
- 1:09Speaker 1: all night long, hitting all kinds of targets. President Trump
- 1:15Speaker 1: has said we'll keep this up for a couple of
- 1:17Speaker 1: weeks and if they don't make a peace agreement. I mean,
- 1:21Speaker 1: we're hitting military targets right now. But he said, if
- 1:25Speaker 1: they don't come to an agreement in the next few weeks,
- 1:28Speaker 1: they'll start to go after energy targets, power plants, bridges, infrastructure.
- 1:35Speaker 1: This is normal in warfare. You know when you go
- 1:36Speaker 1: to war, that's the first thing you do is you
- 1:38Speaker 1: hit take out all the bridges, take out the power plants,
- 1:41Speaker 1: take out the water. So that's the first thing you
- 1:42Speaker 1: do in anyway Iraq war. We did it to day
- 1:45Speaker 1: one and two, but the President says I'll save that
- 1:48Speaker 1: for last. We hope we don't have to do it,
- 1:51Speaker 1: but if we have to do it, we'll do it.
- 1:53Speaker 1: He said, We're going to continue to hit them, night
- 1:55Speaker 1: after night after night. Actually said next week if it
- 1:58Speaker 1: gets really bad for them, because next week, if they
- 2:01Speaker 1: haven't made an agreement, will start on power plants straight
- 2:05Speaker 1: Ohorn Moose is closed right now. We can reopen it
- 2:08Speaker 1: when we want to. We have. Before. There was this
- 2:11Speaker 1: Trump plan to charge ships twenty a twenty percent toll
- 2:17Speaker 1: to come through. The President dropped that and follow the
- 2:21Speaker 1: fake news if you read the New York Times or MSNBC.
- 2:25Speaker 1: They'll make it look like he was just flip flopping
- 2:27Speaker 1: like crazy. Why he backed off? The President backed off. Actually,
- 2:31Speaker 1: what happened is all the golf states called him and
- 2:34Speaker 1: asked him. They actually made a deal with him, don't
- 2:38Speaker 1: do the tolls and instead we'll take the same amount
- 2:41Speaker 1: of money and will invest it in the United States,
- 2:43Speaker 1: which is a much better deal. So no tolls. Golf
- 2:46Speaker 1: leaders have all agreed will invest tremendously in the United
- 2:50Speaker 1: States instead of paying that fee. These investments will be massive,
- 2:54Speaker 1: but at the same time very good for them and
- 2:58Speaker 1: for us. So it's a pretty good deal that he struck. Now,
- 3:01Speaker 1: you know, the Iraqi president was in the White House
- 3:05Speaker 1: yesterday for meetings. Now it's hard to ever imagine this,
- 3:10Speaker 1: but we're now working closely with Iraq. We got all
- 3:13Speaker 1: our oil companies in there about to get tons of
- 3:17Speaker 1: oil out of there. One reason we're doing this is
- 3:19Speaker 1: it'll completely screw up Iran in the future, will dramatically
- 3:23Speaker 1: increase oil production and oil export out of Iraq, which
- 3:28Speaker 1: will screw up Iran. I know it sounds kind of
- 3:30Speaker 1: stranger Iraq in the White House, but you know, it's
- 3:33Speaker 1: like Vietnam. Nobody could ever imagine that we'd be friends
- 3:37Speaker 1: with Vietnam one day. They were our worst enemy for years.
- 3:40Speaker 1: Nobody could imagine ever there'd be a time where American
- 3:44Speaker 1: tourists would love to go to Vietnam and stay at
- 3:47Speaker 1: the Saigon four Seasons, the Hanoi Ritz Carlton. We never
- 3:51Speaker 1: thought we'd see that, But that's what happened. Simply with Japan.
- 3:54Speaker 1: I mean, there was a time after World War Two
- 3:56Speaker 1: you could never imagine we'd have any kind of friendly relationship,
- 3:59Speaker 1: which but as who said it, some great statesmen said it,
- 4:05Speaker 1: we don't have permanent friends, we don't have permanent foes.
- 4:09Speaker 1: We only have permanent interests. So Iraq yesterday meeting with
- 4:13Speaker 1: the President, well, we don't think we need.
- 4:14Speaker 2: The military there anymore. It's a very big operation. And
- 4:20Speaker 2: what we do have is the oil companies are all
- 4:22Speaker 2: going in now when they're doing partnerships with Iraq, and
- 4:27Speaker 2: they're getting along very well.
- 4:29Speaker 1: Now it's going to be just like Vietnam. There's gonna
- 4:32Speaker 1: be a Bagdad Hilton of Baghdad four seasons. You're gonna
- 4:36Speaker 1: walk around Iraq. There's gonna be Starbucks everywhere, they'll be
- 4:42Speaker 1: it'll just be like Vietnam. You know how many times
- 4:43Speaker 1: you somebody said we're going to Vietnam on their vacation.
- 4:46Speaker 1: You're going to see people going to Iraq on their
- 4:48Speaker 1: vacation within a couple of years. We're now friends with that.
- 4:51Speaker 2: Iran was a big burden on Iraq because they were
- 4:56Speaker 2: the bully of the Middle East, as you know, and
- 4:58Speaker 2: we were just talking about the But they're not going
- 5:01Speaker 2: to have that problem anymore because Iran has been very
- 5:05Speaker 2: much destabilized and really their military powers just a tiny
- 5:12Speaker 2: fraction of what it was just four months ago.
- 5:15Speaker 1: Yeah, so no matter what happens at this point, the
- 5:16Speaker 1: threat of Iran, the bully of the Middle East, threatening everybody,
- 5:20Speaker 1: they really can't threaten it. They have no military left,
- 5:22Speaker 1: no air force, no navy. They have some defensive capability,
- 5:26Speaker 1: but that's about it. And money wise, we've completely bankrupted them,
- 5:31Speaker 1: shutting down their oil exports, so they really are totally
- 5:36Speaker 1: out of it now as far as threatening the whole region. Hey,
- 5:39Speaker 1: today there's a lot of testimony Todd Blanche confirmation hearings
- 5:44Speaker 1: for Attorney General J. Clayton, who's a great guy. He
- 5:48Speaker 1: was our US attorney here in the Manhattan. Great guy.
- 5:51Speaker 1: He's going to go through confirmation hearing. He's now they're
- 5:54Speaker 1: going to when Democrats really know how to do these
- 5:57Speaker 1: confirmation hearings. It's all theatrics. It's all for the cameras.
- 6:00Speaker 1: It's all to create clips to play all over the
- 6:03Speaker 1: fake news. So they'll yell and scream at Todd Blanche
- 6:06Speaker 1: about anything and everything. Same thing with Jay Clayton. With
- 6:09Speaker 1: Todd Blanche, they're yelling at him about the Epstein files.
- 6:13Speaker 1: They really got to give up on these Epstein files.
- 6:15Speaker 1: I mean, nice try, but there was nothing there. I mean,
- 6:18Speaker 1: it's ugly stuff about Epstein, but that's it. It's pretty
- 6:22Speaker 1: much Epstein. Maybe Bill Gates, Prince Andrew and a bunch
- 6:25Speaker 1: of Democrats who got caught in there. But that's about it. Also,
- 6:30Speaker 1: later today Jay Clayton will testify. They'll go after Clayton
- 6:36Speaker 1: for a number of things. The New York Times reporters
- 6:39Speaker 1: that the Department of Justice has subpoena. They will go
- 6:42Speaker 1: after that. Now, if you watch the fake news or
- 6:44Speaker 1: read the New York Times or any of that, you're
- 6:48Speaker 1: getting the impression that it's law there, that the Justice
- 6:52Speaker 1: Department is going after they're going to try to prosecute
- 6:55Speaker 1: these New York Times reporters just awful. Well, that's not
- 7:00Speaker 1: at all what's happening. Nobody in New York Times is
- 7:03Speaker 1: getting prosecuted or charged with anything. They're just being subpoenaed
- 7:07Speaker 1: as witnesses in a case. They seem to know a
- 7:10Speaker 1: lot about the new presidential jet, the new Air Force
- 7:13Speaker 1: won more than they're supposed to know, some of it classified,
- 7:16Speaker 1: So they're just being subpoena to testify about where these
- 7:19Speaker 1: leaks are coming from. So that's a pretty reasonable thing. Hey,
- 7:24Speaker 1: Joe Biden is going to do his big book tour.
- 7:28Speaker 1: This is a big thing for Biden. It's a money
- 7:30Speaker 1: making thing, although he's going to be quite surprised that
- 7:33Speaker 1: how nobody buys the book and he's not going to
- 7:36Speaker 1: make a lot of money. But he's even put out
- 7:38Speaker 1: a two minute trailer for the book. He's trying to
- 7:41Speaker 1: make it look like he was Winston Churchill, like he
- 7:44Speaker 1: was a great statesman. He was just a bird's eye,
- 7:48Speaker 1: frozen vegetable for four years, didn't know where he was,
- 7:51Speaker 1: didn't do anything. There was no cabinet meeting, nothing, didn't
- 7:55Speaker 1: know what was going I did absolutely nothing except the
- 7:58Speaker 1: only thing he really was active on was a law fair.
- 8:01Speaker 1: He had the dirtiest attorney general ever prosecuting Donald Trump
- 8:05Speaker 1: in multiple places at once. That was basically his main activity.
- 8:09Speaker 1: So the book was supposed to come out in the
- 8:12Speaker 1: early fall, you know, October something like that. September October,
- 8:17Speaker 1: that's the best time to launch a book. That's the
- 8:19Speaker 1: big time for a book launch. And if you're the
- 8:22Speaker 1: publisher and you gave this guy, you overpaid this guy
- 8:24Speaker 1: by millions, and he's a former president, well obviously it's
- 8:28Speaker 1: September October. That's when you do the book, perfect time
- 8:32Speaker 1: for a book release. Well, the Democratic leaders have gotten
- 8:36Speaker 1: to Biden and pretty much ordered him to delay that
- 8:40Speaker 1: book release till late November, which is not the best time. Now.
- 8:45Speaker 1: The reason is a book tom means Biden is all
- 8:49Speaker 1: over the place, all over TV, and he's going to
- 8:52Speaker 1: stumble and make gaps and look brain dead and not
- 8:55Speaker 1: know where he is. And the Democrats don't want people
- 8:57Speaker 1: reminded of all this, and they think it'll badly affect
- 9:00Speaker 1: the mid term elections in November. So that's why they've
- 9:04Speaker 1: pretty much forced him to postpone the book. Release till
- 9:08Speaker 1: after the midterms. It could really screw up Democrats in
- 9:11Speaker 1: the midterms to get a look at Biden again. People
- 9:14Speaker 1: have Democrats have this great skill at amnesia forgetting all
- 9:19Speaker 1: the horrible things they did. Like four years of Tellmas
- 9:22Speaker 1: Biden was just fine and he was okay. So it'll
- 9:25Speaker 1: be a late November Kamala Harris if she ever wants
- 9:29Speaker 1: to run, this is a problem for her. If she
- 9:31Speaker 1: wants to run, she's got to just be Kamala Harris.
- 9:33Speaker 1: She can't be associated with feeble, crazy old Joe Biden.
- 9:37Speaker 1: So this book release will not be good for her.
- 9:41Speaker 1: So yesterday was these were interesting hearing. Supreme Court needs
- 9:46Speaker 1: more funding. They need a budget increase to cover the
- 9:49Speaker 1: security because of a crazy Democrats and they've riled up
- 9:54Speaker 1: their crazy lunatics out there. There've been all kinds of
- 9:57Speaker 1: threats on Supreme Court justices, people trying to break into
- 10:01Speaker 1: their house, people shooting at them, assassins being caught. Remember,
- 10:04Speaker 1: even Chuck Schumer called for terrible things to happen these justices,
- 10:09Speaker 1: and sure enough, the next day a lunatic was coming
- 10:13Speaker 1: up the lawn of it was a Cavanaugh with a gun,
- 10:16Speaker 1: a knife, rope, handcuffs, the whole thing. Luckily they caught him,
- 10:21Speaker 1: police arrested him, but dramatic testimony amy Cony Barrett talking
- 10:25Speaker 1: about how tough it was.
- 10:27Speaker 3: And threats to my life were particularly intense. A few
- 10:30Speaker 3: years ago, around the time of the dobs Leek, my
- 10:33Speaker 3: security details sent me home with a bulletproof vest and
- 10:36Speaker 3: I carried it into my house, put it into my bedroom,
- 10:38Speaker 3: dropped it down on a table, turned around, and my
- 10:40Speaker 3: twelve year old son was standing in the doorway of
- 10:43Speaker 3: my bedroom and he wanted to know what it was
- 10:46Speaker 3: and why I had it, and I didn't know how
- 10:48Speaker 3: to respond.
- 10:50Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean, Supreme Court justice used to be a
- 10:53Speaker 1: pretty quiet job and certainly not something where you had
- 10:57Speaker 1: to really worry about security. But is just terrible. So
- 11:01Speaker 1: hopefully they'll get the funding increase. The big news of
- 11:04Speaker 1: the day, Chuck Schumer is on the Senate floor speaking
- 11:10Speaker 1: and let's out an enormous fart. Are you supposed to
- 11:16Speaker 1: say that word on the ear? I guess you can
- 11:17Speaker 1: say it, but Schumer, it was very loud and clear.
- 11:22Speaker 1: You know, sometimes they have some blooper where you think
- 11:24Speaker 1: it sound like that guy farted. The newscasters and you
- 11:27Speaker 1: can't be one hundred This was one hundred percent, absolute definite.
- 11:31Speaker 1: Everybody looked startled. Even Schumer kind of laughed. He tried
- 11:35Speaker 1: not to laugh, but he almost laughed. But it was loud,
- 11:37Speaker 1: it was clear. So this is Schumer now, besides the
- 11:40Speaker 1: fact that he's been a cheap, pandering, hustling politician, just
- 11:46Speaker 1: a cheap politician. The glasses get bigger every year. Now
- 11:50Speaker 1: he's like he's Uncle Junior on the Sopranos. Just remember
- 11:54Speaker 1: Uncle Junior just farting into that sofa cushion for the
- 11:57Speaker 1: last few years. That's what Schumer's come. Time for him
- 12:01Speaker 1: to go. I know, he's got a couple of years left.
- 12:03Speaker 1: He should step down right now and just get out
- 12:07Speaker 1: of there. Well, actually, maybe maybe he shouldn't because Hockel
- 12:10Speaker 1: then could appoint to AOC or somebody. Yeah, I mean
- 12:15Speaker 1: the good thing about Schumris does absolutely nothing except go
- 12:18Speaker 1: around collecting donations. Hey, Ice, there's this two incidents, two shootings,
- 12:25Speaker 1: one in Maine where Ice had to shoot somebody who
- 12:28Speaker 1: was trying to ram them with his vehicle. He wasn't
- 12:31Speaker 1: the guy that we're looking for, but he tried to
- 12:32Speaker 1: ram him with his vehicle. This was a vehicle stop.
- 12:35Speaker 1: So Holman always steps into quiet things down and said,
- 12:40Speaker 1: let's not do any vehicle stops for a while. Here
- 12:44Speaker 1: here's Holman.
- 12:44Speaker 4: I'm confident they're going to get back to their policy
- 12:47Speaker 4: or vehicle stops. But they're doing, you know, what they
- 12:49Speaker 4: believe is unecessary short term pause just to look at
- 12:52Speaker 4: it and make sure everything's good.
- 12:54Speaker 1: Now. He called for a halt to vehicle stops for
- 12:57Speaker 1: a while, but then President Trump countermanded that order and
- 13:01Speaker 1: said keep them up. But then Holman called Trump. They've
- 13:03Speaker 1: spoken at length, and I think Trump has agreed to
- 13:07Speaker 1: just give it a couple of weeks rest. Maine has
- 13:11Speaker 1: gone crazy left wing and you know, this is like Minnesota.
- 13:16Speaker 1: Homan had to go there, spent a couple of weeks
- 13:18Speaker 1: quiet everything down.
- 13:19Speaker 4: This is going to be a short term review. So
- 13:21Speaker 4: ICE shows comfortable that their agents are safe, they're doing
- 13:24Speaker 4: the right thing, and get back to, you know, doing
- 13:27Speaker 4: what they do best, which is you know, making vehicle stops.
- 13:30Speaker 4: But like I said, I'll say it again, but there
- 13:32Speaker 4: are options during the short time period to rest they
- 13:35Speaker 4: land before he gets in a moving weapon and arrest
- 13:38Speaker 4: him after it he stops.
- 13:40Speaker 1: Yeah, so Maine is now a crazy left wing place.
- 13:44Speaker 1: How did that happen? Well, it's a very small population
- 13:46Speaker 1: in Maine. Small population means just a handful of people
- 13:51Speaker 1: can come in there and change the whole demographic, the
- 13:53Speaker 1: whole voter makeup. So all these crazy left wing people Massachusetts,
- 13:58Speaker 1: the Cambridge crowd. During the pandemic, a lot of people
- 14:01Speaker 1: decided to leave the city, moved to the suburbs. Well
- 14:04Speaker 1: in Boston that happened, and suburbs of them were Maine,
- 14:07Speaker 1: So a lot of people moved to Maine. A lot
- 14:09Speaker 1: of left wingers changed everything there. That's how these crazy
- 14:13Speaker 1: Grand Platinum types can run in Maine now. And the
- 14:16Speaker 1: protesters they're all up there.
- 14:18Speaker 2: That's the f out of our states.
- 14:22Speaker 1: So it's not the old main that you remember. It's
- 14:25Speaker 1: a whole different place. Hey, coming up, we'll get to
- 14:27Speaker 1: Mayor Mom Donnie and this awful shanty town. It started
- 14:32Speaker 1: out as a homeless encampment on the west side near
- 14:34Speaker 1: the Intrepid Big tourist attraction, and it's grown. The twelve
- 14:38Speaker 1: blocks they've tapped into street lights and all that to
- 14:43Speaker 1: steal electricity. So it's like these California San Francisco, La,
- 14:49Speaker 1: homeless cities where it just goes for blocks and blocks
- 14:53Speaker 1: and blocks. They've got electricity. It's unbelievable that a mayor
- 14:58Speaker 1: would allow that to happen, and any other mayor, as
- 15:01Speaker 1: soon as it was half a block would have cleaned
- 15:03Speaker 1: it up. This is twelve blocks in growing. So we'll
- 15:06Speaker 1: get to that throughout the program. Hey, we'll take some calls. Next.
- 15:09Speaker 1: Eight hundred three two one zero seven ten is the number.
- 15:13Speaker 1: Eight hundred three two one zero seven ten
