- 1:56Speaker 3: about that?
- 1:57Speaker 5: And with that being said, we made it to November.
- 2:00Speaker 5: And we didn't have a whole ass press secretary come
- 2:02Speaker 5: and go since.
- 2:04Speaker 3: Our last show.
- 2:06Speaker 5: But we appreciate you coming back to join us here
- 2:08Speaker 5: on WRTR Real Talk Radio.
- 2:10Speaker 3: My name isn't important, but if you know Z-Ass, need
- 2:12Speaker 3: to know it's Marcus Smoot. I'm L-Train.
- 2:15Speaker 5: And Lyric is out this week. Holding things down, but
- 2:18Speaker 5: L and I are holding it down here.
- 2:20Speaker 3: So how you feeling good, sir? Pretty good, pretty good.
- 2:22Speaker 3: I am excited about the show. It's been a crazy
- 2:25Speaker 3: fun week, all that good stuff. I think it's about
- 2:28Speaker 3: to get a little crazier. It is, it is. As
- 2:30Speaker 3: you said, we are in November, so we all know
- 2:31Speaker 3: what's about to happen. Yeah, niggas is like, where y'all
- 2:33Speaker 3: was at in October?
- 2:34Speaker 1: Sorry.
- 2:35Speaker 5: You know, shit be happening. Listen, burnout is real. And
- 2:40Speaker 5: people be going through shit. I was burnt the fuck out.
- 2:42Speaker 5: That is what happened.
- 2:43Speaker 3: I just couldn't. It's too much going on. The news
- 2:47Speaker 3: cycle is too much. You read this shit all day,
- 2:49Speaker 3: every day. And I keep up. I write letters. None
- 2:52Speaker 3: of that shit stopped.
- 2:53Speaker 5: But as far as just sitting here talking about it
- 2:56Speaker 5: at the end of every week, I just needed a break.
- 2:58Speaker 3: So, sorry, y'all. Love you. All of that. Yeah. Putting
- 3:02Speaker 3: up hearts, hearts, hearts, hearts. Yeah, all of that. So,
- 3:07Speaker 3: I mean, catch us up. What's been going on in
- 3:09Speaker 3: your world? Oh, man. So, I think I told you. Oh, no,
- 3:14Speaker 3: I didn't tell y'all. I'm taking a dance class.
- 3:16Speaker 6: Oh, wow.
- 3:17Speaker 3: I'm an adult. hip-hop dance class so that's been a
- 3:22Speaker 3: lot of fun uh hip-hop yeah work i know right
- 3:26Speaker 3: so uh it's been real cool it's been i it
- 3:30Speaker 3: was just something for me to get because i used
- 3:32Speaker 3: to dance a lot so i wanted to get back
- 3:33Speaker 3: into it and kind of just i i was feeling
- 3:37Speaker 3: stiff and like not as limber as i used to
- 3:40Speaker 3: so i was like oh that's now You know what
- 3:42Speaker 3: I mean? I was starting to feel like I was
- 3:43Speaker 3: doing the old people two-step all the time when I
- 3:45Speaker 3: would go somewhere and I was like, oh, what are
- 3:47Speaker 3: you doing? Not the old people two-step. You got to
- 3:50Speaker 3: figure this out. Otherwise, you know. Wait, what does the
- 3:52Speaker 3: old people two-step look like? I need to make sure
- 3:54Speaker 3: I'm not doing.
- 3:55Speaker 7: Oh. Oh.
- 3:56Speaker 3: You know, just that little side to side with a little.
- 3:59Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 3:59Speaker 3: I think I'm old. I'm an old people. I'm like,
- 4:03Speaker 3: I don't know. So I was like, no, I need
- 4:05Speaker 3: to be able to do just a little something. little
- 4:07Speaker 3: son son.
- 4:08Speaker 5: That's awesome though and it gets you up it gets
- 4:11Speaker 5: you exercise um i mean adults are so i mean.
- 4:15Speaker 3: There are people our age there there are um i'm
- 4:18Speaker 3: not the oldest but i'm definitely not the youngest so
- 4:21Speaker 3: that and that was my goal um my my other
- 4:24Speaker 3: concern was being the only male in the class which
- 4:26Speaker 3: i didn't even think about until i got there but
- 4:28Speaker 3: i wasn't the only only one so that was also
- 4:30Speaker 3: cool as well so it's a pretty um diverse little
- 4:33Speaker 3: class right um Once this one's over with, I was
- 4:36Speaker 3: considering taking, I think they have an adult tap class,
- 4:39Speaker 3: and I wanted to consider that.
- 4:41Speaker 8: Nice.
- 4:42Speaker 3: Yeah, so I'm just getting out there doing some fun stuff,
- 4:45Speaker 3: and it's been really great. That's good to hear.
- 4:48Speaker 5: I mean, so with everybody that's there, first off, have
- 4:52Speaker 5: you met any new friends and stuff there?
- 4:55Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 4:56Speaker 3: Oh, you know that's not me.
- 4:57Speaker 9: No.
- 4:57Speaker 6: Really?
- 4:58Speaker 7: No.
- 4:59Speaker 3: Because, I mean, okay.
- 5:00Speaker 5: For me, that would be, like, the perfect opportunity because
- 5:03Speaker 5: I would be there and that would be fellowshipping and
- 5:06Speaker 5: I'd be like, hey, you know what?
- 5:08Speaker 3: You said it's the class, so, I mean.
- 5:09Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 5:10Speaker 3: Okay.
- 5:10Speaker 9: Well.
- 5:11Speaker 3: Because, you know, think about it. Like, you get there
- 5:13Speaker 3: and it's... Everybody's either stretching or getting ready. You get in,
- 5:18Speaker 3: you know, you put your shoes on and stuff. Then
- 5:20Speaker 3: you go through the class. Once the class is over,
- 5:22Speaker 3: you're sweaty... You got a towel on, like, you know,
- 5:26Speaker 3: like over your shoulder. It's very much on Viv leaving
- 5:30Speaker 3: the audition. That's true.
- 5:32Speaker 5: And then you don't want to leave from the dance
- 5:34Speaker 5: class and go hit the bar and work, you know,
- 5:37Speaker 5: or go out for like.
- 5:38Speaker 3: Taco Bell or something. Not with people.
- 5:40Speaker 10: Right.
- 5:43Speaker 3: You know what? I thought about doing it because there's
- 5:46Speaker 3: a cool little spot over there near it called Fatty's
- 5:49Speaker 3: and it's really cool.
- 5:50Speaker 6: What?
- 5:50Speaker 3: They have a Fatty's near... Okay. Over at Essex. I'm
- 5:53Speaker 3: leaving this alone. Okay.
- 5:56Speaker 5: Like I said, I already caught up with y'all. Burnout,
- 5:59Speaker 5: catching up, getting back to me. I've just been working.
- 6:04Speaker 3: On me stuff. I've been writing a lot. Yeah, back
- 6:07Speaker 3: to reality. So, let's get this podcast started with When
- 6:12Speaker 3: I Grew Up. You want to go first? I want
- 6:15Speaker 3: you to kick us off. All right. When I grow up,
- 6:17Speaker 3: I want to be like Miss Nigeria.
- 6:19Speaker 8: Okay?
- 6:20Speaker 5: According to Vanguard, a Nigerian model, Oma Osel, has emerged
- 6:26Speaker 5: winner of Miss Continental World 2026, securing an international pageant
- 6:31Speaker 5: crown at the grand finale held in Thailand. The 28-year-old... Now,
- 6:36Speaker 5: you know, she won, but that's not where her brilliance
- 6:40Speaker 5: and stuff ends. The 28-year-old medical laboratory scientist, entrepreneur... and
- 6:47Speaker 5: model from Lagos, also won two special awards ahead of
- 6:51Speaker 5: the final, taking home the Queen of Africa title for
- 6:54Speaker 5: being the highest-placed African contestant and the Best National Costume Award.
- 7:02Speaker 5: Aselle represented Nigeria at the competition after winning Elite Glam
- 7:06Speaker 5: Pageant Nigeria 2025. Sis, and she's gorgeous. Y'all have got
- 7:13Speaker 5: to look her up. Again, her name is Oma Aselle.
- 7:16Speaker 5: She is absolutely gorgeous. Oh, wow, she is. And you
- 7:21Speaker 5: could tell when they read the results, her whole face
- 7:27Speaker 5: lit up. And it was heartwarming to watch. So, yeah,
- 7:32Speaker 5: that kind of warmed my heart.
- 7:34Speaker 3: I like seeing underdogs get something that we are past due. Great.
- 7:41Speaker 3: Who do you want to be like when you grow up, sir?
- 7:44Speaker 3: I want to be like Wilma Rudolph when I grow up.
- 7:46Speaker 3: Who's she? For those who already know, she was a
- 7:50Speaker 3: pioneering Olympian and activist. Wilma Rudolph was an African-American athlete
- 7:54Speaker 3: who became the first woman to win three medals at
- 7:56Speaker 3: the Summer Olympics in 1960. Having achieved her dreams, she
- 8:00Speaker 3: returned home to Clarksville, Tennessee. And, of course, she's an Olympian.
- 8:05Speaker 3: She's just made world history and She refused to participate
- 8:12Speaker 3: in any celebratory parades or anything else unless they were integrated.
- 8:16Speaker 11: Ah!
- 8:17Speaker 3: And they absolutely did, in her honor, had the very
- 8:20Speaker 3: first events to be integrated in her hometown of Clarksville, Tennessee. So,
- 8:25Speaker 3: and to that I say, it's okay not to sit
- 8:27Speaker 3: at the table if you can't bring a guest. True.
- 8:30Speaker 3: Guests can't always bring food. I mean, you can come
- 8:36Speaker 3: to the cookout.
- 8:39Speaker 5: I love the fact that we both are honoring black
- 8:42Speaker 5: women today. And let's do that further with If It
- 8:45Speaker 5: Were Lyric.
- 8:46Speaker 8: Did you see the video of the dude who's a
- 8:48Speaker 8: registered red and usually? supports red but for the first
- 8:53Speaker 8: time he supported blue and for the first time he
- 8:56Speaker 8: got a letter saying that his ticket wasn't going to
- 9:00Speaker 8: count because there was a discrepancy with his signature all
- 9:03Speaker 8: of a sudden all of a sudden Years of being
- 9:06Speaker 8: a concert goer. Years of sending in their ticket. Years
- 9:10Speaker 8: of there never, ever being a problem with the ticket
- 9:13Speaker 8: or the signature. But now this time, this time, you know,
- 9:16Speaker 8: the first time he switches support, well, now it looks suspicious,
- 9:20Speaker 8: so they don't think they're going to count it. His
- 9:22Speaker 8: signature doesn't seem to match anymore. Add that to the
- 9:25Speaker 8: list of, what, eight and counting states that are having glitches? Ooh,
- 9:30Speaker 8: and of course, add that to the leaked memo of
- 9:33Speaker 8: all the agencies they plan on deploying and and the
- 9:38Speaker 8: follow-up plan if none of that works enough the aftermath
- 9:43Speaker 8: steps they're working on this is so fucking infuriating because
- 9:46Speaker 8: we told y'all it's not even about we told y'all
- 9:49Speaker 8: they told y'all they never hid this they never lied
- 9:52Speaker 8: about they always told y'all and the fact that they're
- 9:55Speaker 8: moving forward with everything they said they were going to
- 9:58Speaker 8: do and every day i have to listen to people
- 10:00Speaker 8: go breaking news. It's just been leaked. It's just been reported.
- 10:05Speaker 8: The rumors circulating. Allegedly bombshell breaking. And it's always some
- 10:10Speaker 8: shit they've been saying consistently for the last two years.
- 10:13Speaker 8: And the only reason it's shocking and breaking.
- 10:16Speaker 6: News is because a whole bunch of.
- 10:17Speaker 3: People said they don't mean it.
- 10:19Speaker 12: They can't do that.
- 10:20Speaker 5: It would be illegal.
- 10:21Speaker 8: They can't do that. It would be breaking the Constitution.
- 10:25Speaker 8: Everybody knows it's impossible to break rules.
- 10:27Speaker 1: It's impossible.
- 10:28Speaker 8: Everybody knows criminals love rules. They also love consequences and
- 10:32Speaker 8: accountability for themselves.
- 10:34Speaker 2: Everyone knows that.
- 10:36Speaker 8: Sure, we have a taxpayer-funded goon force that's running around
- 10:39Speaker 8: breaking the bones of special needs toddlers in the streets
- 10:42Speaker 8: and screeching off into the night. But, you know, I'm
- 10:46Speaker 8: sure the people behind all of that definitely intend on
- 10:50Speaker 8: putting down their little billy clubs when the time is
- 10:53Speaker 8: up and turning themselves in for accountability. All of these
- 10:57Speaker 8: people doing everything they can to cover for themselves and
- 10:59Speaker 8: protect themselves definitely plan on just voluntarily stopping.
- 11:07Speaker 3: Knowing what's coming next. Fuck out of my face.
- 11:11Speaker 8: Whatever you're on, can I get a prescription for it?
- 11:13Speaker 8: If I'm stuck in this hot mess of a car
- 11:15Speaker 8: with y'all, whatever you're taking.
- 11:17Speaker 13: That helps you to believe that.
- 11:18Speaker 6: Fantasy, give me some.
- 11:19Speaker 3: I want whatever that is.
- 11:21Speaker 8: I need a lifetime prescription of whatever the fuck that
- 11:23Speaker 8: is you're on.
- 11:24Speaker 4: Maybe not what you should do, but definitely she would.
- 11:29Speaker 4: If it were Lyric.
- 11:30Speaker 5: All right, it's time to answer your questions with If
- 11:33Speaker 5: It Were Lyric. Like I said, she ain't here this week,
- 11:35Speaker 5: but we're going.
- 11:36Speaker 3: To hold it down.
- 11:37Speaker 5: If you would like your question read on air, send
- 11:41Speaker 5: it over to lyricbravado at gmail.com or hit us up
- 11:44Speaker 5: at wrtrradio at gmail.com.
- 11:46Speaker 3: And hopefully we will get you on. First one.
- 11:48Speaker 5: I'm going to read and then you start answering first.
- 11:53Speaker 3: Okay.
- 11:53Speaker 1: Ready?
- 11:54Speaker 3: I'm listening. Dear Luke, this is taking a lot to
- 11:58Speaker 3: put out there, but I need help, so I'd like
- 12:00Speaker 3: to be anonymous.
- 12:02Speaker 5: Here's the thing. I love my girl and I want
- 12:04Speaker 5: to spend the rest of my life with her. And
- 12:06Speaker 5: I genuinely don't see myself with anyone else, but I
- 12:10Speaker 5: don't know what it is. But for some reason, I
- 12:13Speaker 5: just can't have sex with her. I find her attractive,
- 12:17Speaker 5: she's hot to me, but for some reason, I just
- 12:20Speaker 5: can't do it. I've made excuses to not do it,
- 12:23Speaker 5: like I'm tired or my body is aching from football
- 12:26Speaker 5: or something, but deep down, I just can't bring myself
- 12:28Speaker 5: to do it. Is there something wrong with me? As
- 12:31Speaker 5: I used to be a very sexually active person, and
- 12:34Speaker 5: so was she, that's why we clicked. But now, she
- 12:38Speaker 5: comes on to me, and I just can't do it.
- 12:40Speaker 3: If it were you, what would you do? If it
- 12:43Speaker 3: were you, how would you like to hear.
- 12:47Speaker 3: How would you like to hear this information? Thanks. Anonymous.
- 12:50Speaker 3: How old are they? They didn't say. All right. So, um,
- 12:54Speaker 3: it sounds like there's a lot going on and it's
- 12:57Speaker 3: a lot that you're not telling us. Um, I don't
- 13:00Speaker 3: know if you have an attraction to men possibly. Um, well,
- 13:05Speaker 3: I'm just, you know, well, he said, um, he finds her,
- 13:08Speaker 3: it's still attractive. So I don't, I don't, then there
- 13:14Speaker 3: sounds like there was some trauma somewhere that, Something clicked.
- 13:17Speaker 3: Or something has gone awry. Whether... Did... Did she cheat?
- 13:21Speaker 3: Did you cheat? Was there a text message that now... Uh-oh. Like,
- 13:26Speaker 3: she was like, you're the biggest I've ever had and
- 13:28Speaker 3: it wasn't you? You know, you feel like... Oh, no.
- 13:31Speaker 3: You know what I mean? Like, is there something that's
- 13:32Speaker 3: gone on that's just caused this to happen? Because... I'm vengeance, Dave. Typically,
- 13:36Speaker 3: this doesn't just like... You don't just like fall out
- 13:39Speaker 3: of lust like that. And like, especially if y'all were
- 13:42Speaker 3: humping like rabbits before and now all of a sudden...
- 13:45Speaker 3: You're not? It's like, what's going on?
- 13:49Speaker 5: Well, depending on the age. I mean, even depending on
- 13:53Speaker 5: the age.
- 13:53Speaker 3: You don't drop off like that. Well, I would say
- 13:57Speaker 3: maybe this is something that you need to look into.
- 13:59Speaker 5: Because this may be the perfect thing for a therapist.
- 14:03Speaker 5: Therapists live for this kind of shit. Because then you
- 14:06Speaker 5: can work out where the problem is. Maybe it's a
- 14:09Speaker 5: thing of where, like Elle said, you saw something or...
- 14:12Speaker 5: Maybe y'all had a rough situation that maybe, you know,
- 14:16Speaker 5: disrupted how you feel about the whole situation now. Maybe
- 14:20Speaker 5: you just, I mean, if you're finding yourself making excuses
- 14:24Speaker 5: to not sleep with this girl, ask yourself, are you
- 14:27Speaker 5: lonely or are you.
- 14:29Speaker 3: Still in love?
- 14:30Speaker 5: Because those two things can also creep up on you.
- 14:34Speaker 5: Sometimes you're just lonely and you don't want to leave
- 14:36Speaker 5: that person, even though you probably should have left that person.
- 14:40Speaker 3: And what about medication? Are you, have you started taking
- 14:42Speaker 3: like new medications or anything that would totally throw your
- 14:45Speaker 3: libido off? That's something else like where you have a
- 14:48Speaker 3: total attraction to the person, but you're just like, you know,
- 14:52Speaker 3: like it's just not there. So, I would, if you
- 14:56Speaker 3: started taking new medications, you may want to talk to
- 14:58Speaker 3: your physician and see if there's any of those side effects.
- 15:00Speaker 3: Don't go to WebMD and all the other stuff. Talk
- 15:02Speaker 3: to your actual doctor because it's just going to drive
- 15:04Speaker 3: you crazy. Do not get them pills that be on
- 15:06Speaker 3: YouTube ads and shit. Don't do that. Don't go to
- 15:08Speaker 3: the gas station. Absolutely not. Horny goat weed. What was that?
- 15:12Speaker 3: Let me ask you something. Did you ever try that?
- 15:15Speaker 5: Back in the day.
- 15:16Speaker 3: No, no. That stuff? No, no.
- 15:19Speaker 5: I tried horny goat weed for shits and giggles back
- 15:21Speaker 5: in the day and nothing happened. I guess because I
- 15:24Speaker 5: was already horny.
- 15:26Speaker 3: No, no. What does it do? I did try a
- 15:30Speaker 3: honey pack one time. What is that? It's just like. Basically,
- 15:35Speaker 3: I guess it's supposed to be an arousal or a stimulant,
- 15:39Speaker 3: but it's in honey. People know about it. Like, it's
- 15:41Speaker 3: a common thing. But, basically, if you're like, oh, you'll
- 15:45Speaker 3: hear people be like, oh, bring a honey pack. That means, like, yeah. Anyway,
- 15:50Speaker 3: I did once, and yes, it, yeah. It worked? I
- 15:54Speaker 3: was like, oh. Wow, okay. But, oh.
- 15:57Speaker 7: Oh.
- 15:58Speaker 6: Oh.
- 15:59Speaker 3: He's touching himself, people. No, I'm kidding.
- 16:02Speaker 6: I'm kidding.
- 16:04Speaker 3: But, I mean, but no, no. Like, pills and all
- 16:07Speaker 3: the other stuff, no. Okay. All right. Good luck, Anonymous. Yeah, man.
- 16:13Speaker 3: And if you're going to go with therapy, if you
- 16:16Speaker 3: have insurance at your job or whatever, do that. Also,
- 16:20Speaker 3: start off with the EAP because it's typically free for
- 16:22Speaker 3: the first few sessions and you can test drive the therapist. Wait,
- 16:25Speaker 3: you can do, like, sex? I guess it would be
- 16:28Speaker 3: a therapist. Yeah, just a therapist, yeah. Because, I mean, wow,
- 16:30Speaker 3: through EAP.
- 16:31Speaker 14: Mm-hmm.
- 16:32Speaker 3: You can do that through EAP, and you can also,
- 16:35Speaker 3: and some are set up to where it's per situation,
- 16:38Speaker 3: so you can have one for you, and then you
- 16:40Speaker 3: can have one for you and your spouse as having
- 16:43Speaker 3: couples counseling, and start it off that way through EAP
- 16:45Speaker 3: as well. So just talk to your HR people or
- 16:48Speaker 3: whatever and see what the benefits are.
- 16:50Speaker 15: At your job.
- 16:51Speaker 3: Wow. I guess that's better than crying in the break room. Alright,
- 16:56Speaker 3: next letter.
- 16:58Speaker 5: I mean, because you know niggas be in the break room,
- 17:04Speaker 5: in tears and shit.
- 17:06Speaker 3: You be like, what the fuck is wrong with you?
- 17:08Speaker 3: Mama girl. Now you in a TMI situation. No, absolutely not. Alright,
- 17:16Speaker 3: subject line of the next letter. That visual. I'm sorry.
- 17:19Speaker 3: Go ahead. That visual. Because we've all seen it.
- 17:24Speaker 16: All right.
- 17:25Speaker 3: Seen it or been there.
- 17:25Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 17:26Speaker 3: All right. All right.
- 17:27Speaker 5: So the current wife is about to make things worse
- 17:30Speaker 5: for my ex was the subject line. So, of course,
- 17:33Speaker 5: I had to click on this and find out what
- 17:35Speaker 5: this fuckery is.
- 17:37Speaker 3: What? These did give ages. All right.
- 17:39Speaker 5: It says, Dear Lyric, I, 59, was married for 23 years. Husband, 65,
- 17:47Speaker 5: had an affair. We divorced and he moved out of state.
- 17:51Speaker 5: With the girlfriend who was 40 something. They eventually married.
- 17:56Speaker 5: And I had a good attorney. Who got me a
- 17:58Speaker 5: good alimony set up. My ex hasn't paid the court.
- 18:04Speaker 5: The court ordered him out. He's paid about half for
- 18:06Speaker 5: over 10 years. He does a direct transfer. From his
- 18:09Speaker 5: bank account to mine. And now he has a serious
- 18:12Speaker 5: cancer diagnosis.
- 18:17Speaker 3: Every single month.
- 18:18Speaker 5: I have to ask him. Three or four times to
- 18:20Speaker 5: send the transfer. I keep the text short and he
- 18:23Speaker 5: rarely responds. I could go through the court system but
- 18:26Speaker 5: they would make him pay back the debt over half
- 18:29Speaker 5: a million and they would garnish his wages which I
- 18:32Speaker 5: would feel bad about. My issue now is his current
- 18:36Speaker 5: wife texted me and told me that I stress him
- 18:39Speaker 5: out and that's not good for cancer and I need
- 18:41Speaker 5: to back off from asking for alimony. I'd love to
- 18:45Speaker 5: go through the court payment system so we don't even
- 18:47Speaker 5: have to communicate about it but I'm guessing the current
- 18:49Speaker 5: wife doesn't know about the back debt And that would
- 18:53Speaker 5: be way more stressful than me politely reminding him to
- 18:56Speaker 5: transfer less than half of what he should be paying.
- 19:01Speaker 5: I did some research and found out if he passes,
- 19:03Speaker 5: I could get the back debt from the estate, but
- 19:06Speaker 5: only if I make the claim with the court before
- 19:09Speaker 5: he passes. I need the income for daily life, and
- 19:13Speaker 5: I have very little in savings. He makes a ton
- 19:15Speaker 5: of money. His wife spends a lot. He's the father
- 19:18Speaker 5: of my two adult children. and I've always wanted to
- 19:21Speaker 5: keep things okay for them. Current wife has a history
- 19:26Speaker 5: of crazy messages to me, but I've always been polite
- 19:30Speaker 5: to her. If it were you, would you let it
- 19:33Speaker 5: go or make a claim with a friend of the court?
- 19:36Speaker 3: Signed, Gina. Am I going first on this one? Yeah. Okay, Gina,
- 19:42Speaker 3: I don't know what isn't clear. We should be sitting
- 19:48Speaker 3: in front of a lawyer in the morning. Like, tomorrow morning.
- 19:53Speaker 3: I don't see any... Like, he makes a ton of money.
- 19:56Speaker 3: I'm sorry, first of all, the fact that he owes
- 19:58Speaker 3: you back, like, a half a million dollars, that's above
- 20:02Speaker 3: my mindset of people, like, money that a person would
- 20:05Speaker 3: owe me. Oh, baby! A half a million dollars? Okay, cool.
- 20:08Speaker 2: Okay.
- 20:09Speaker 3: I would struggle to.
- 20:10Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 20:11Speaker 3: So like at this point, I feel like you are
- 20:14Speaker 3: 100 percent entitled to do it. You need to make
- 20:16Speaker 3: sure that that's done. And I don't I don't know.
- 20:20Speaker 3: You know, there's always his story, your story and the truth.
- 20:23Speaker 3: So but based on what you're saying, I'm rocking with you, Gina.
- 20:26Speaker 3: So even if he does get stressed out and it
- 20:28Speaker 3: makes it even worse for him, I mean, it just
- 20:30Speaker 3: makes your settlement get here faster. Oh, OK. OK. In contrast.
- 20:37Speaker 3: I would struggle with this. I have an ex that
- 20:40Speaker 3: battles with cancer. And the thing is.
- 20:44Speaker 5: I would feel bad. Gina, I feel you, girl. You
- 20:49Speaker 5: don't want to take from someone who is sick.
- 20:51Speaker 3: But also... And privileged. Yes, and privileged.
- 20:57Speaker 5: But also, that court that you went to, that judge
- 21:03Speaker 5: dropped that gavel. He said, a half a million dollars
- 21:08Speaker 5: ago to pay you that motherfucking money. So, if he
- 21:13Speaker 5: had not accrued such a debt to you, would you
- 21:16Speaker 5: still feel as guilty? I mean, would you prefer to
- 21:20Speaker 5: just stop taking the payment? Because you have the opportunity
- 21:23Speaker 5: to just end this. Like, if you don't want the payment,
- 21:26Speaker 5: then say nothing and walk away. If you want the payment,
- 21:31Speaker 5: and if you want to be paid, girl is right
- 21:35Speaker 5: in front of your face.
- 21:35Speaker 3: Go through the court. Do what you're supposed to do.
- 21:38Speaker 3: Because if you wait. Until. You know. One or two.
- 21:43Speaker 4: Like.
- 21:43Speaker 3: If you don't do what you need to do. And
- 21:45Speaker 3: he unfortunately passes. Before you. Then will you be sorry then?
- 21:50Speaker 3: Ask yourself that.
- 21:52Speaker 17: So.
- 21:53Speaker 3: And I mean. You already said. If you take him
- 21:55Speaker 3: from the estate. Think of it as. You getting back
- 21:57Speaker 3: at that rude bitch. That tried you.
- 22:00Speaker 12: Exactly.
- 22:00Speaker 6: Like.
- 22:01Speaker 3: Just. You know. There you go. You know who this is?
- 22:04Speaker 3: I do not. I think I figured it out. This
- 22:07Speaker 3: is Gina. So, Gina is actually Marla Maples. Get out.
- 22:14Speaker 6: Get out.
- 22:15Speaker 3: Get out. Girl, we hear you. Oh, God. Well, that
- 22:23Speaker 3: wraps up this week's If It Were Lyric.
- 22:26Speaker 5: Once again, if you would like your letter read and
- 22:29Speaker 5: possibly answered, hopefully not by us because we are horrible
- 22:32Speaker 5: at this, please send your letters over to lyricprovido at gmail.com
- 22:36Speaker 5: or wrtrradio at gmail.com. Up next, we are trolling this
- 22:41Speaker 5: timeline and it has been all over the place.
- 22:44Speaker 3: We'll be right back.
- 22:46Speaker 7: We have some major news. The night before the midterm elections,
- 22:49Speaker 7: Donald Trump has fully restarted the war with Iran.
- 22:51Speaker 6: He dropped bombs on them tonight.
- 22:53Speaker 7: The United States attacked Iran's Qeshm Island on Monday, according
- 22:56Speaker 7: to U.S. officials, in the latest of a series of
- 22:59Speaker 7: limited strikes that Washington has been secretly carrying out against
- 23:02Speaker 7: the country in the past couple of weeks. Now, just
- 23:04Speaker 7: earlier today, Donald Trump was trying to claim that the
- 23:06Speaker 7: war is basically over.
- 23:07Speaker 3: He said, quote, we had a war with Iran. We won.
- 23:10Speaker 7: I don't even know if you call it a war
- 23:11Speaker 7: because we haven't been doing any fighting for months.
- 23:14Speaker 2: And then he bombed them.
- 23:15Speaker 7: But according to the Wall Street Journal, Donald Trump has
- 23:17Speaker 7: actually been engaging in smaller-scale strikes against Iran for several
- 23:20Speaker 7: weeks and has been keeping it from the American people.
- 23:22Speaker 7: We've gotten reports recently that Donald Trump wants to resume
- 23:25Speaker 7: strikes on Iran after the midterm elections, but seems like
- 23:27Speaker 7: he couldn't wait because he's doing it tonight.
- 23:32Speaker 18: Loretta Devine said something last year that really got me.
- 23:35Speaker 18: She says she's still scared. 77 years old, an Emmy.
- 23:39Speaker 18: More than 40 years worth of work. And she said
- 23:41Speaker 18: that even now when someone hires her, she's still surprised.
- 23:45Speaker 18: And that got me because this is Loretta Devine that
- 23:47Speaker 18: we're talking about. This is Gloria Medea. This is Adele
- 23:51Speaker 18: on Grey's Anatomy. This is a woman who has spent
- 23:54Speaker 18: most of my life playing somebody's mama, auntie, best friend, neighbor.
- 23:58Speaker 18: The woman in the kitchen who's going to tell you
- 24:00Speaker 18: exactly what everybody else is dancing around. So hearing her
- 24:03Speaker 18: say that she's still scared every time the phone rings,
- 24:06Speaker 18: I wanted to understand that better. And I heard y'all
- 24:09Speaker 18: in these comments, boy. Her name was actually the top
- 24:12Speaker 18: comment for that whole take about question that I was
- 24:15Speaker 18: asking about. One person actually said, I almost don't need
- 24:18Speaker 18: to say more. And honestly, they were right. But of course,
- 24:22Speaker 18: I went looking anyway. Loretta Devine is from Acres Homes
- 24:25Speaker 18: in Houston. She's the youngest of six. Her mother raised
- 24:29Speaker 18: them after her father left and she was a beautician.
- 24:31Speaker 18: So if we fast forward, Loretta goes to the University
- 24:33Speaker 18: of Houston. She gets a master's degree in theater from Brandeis.
- 24:37Speaker 18: And I did not know that. Because by the time
- 24:40Speaker 18: most of us meet Miss Loretta Devine, she feels like
- 24:43Speaker 18: somebody we already knew. But she trained. She studied. She
- 24:47Speaker 18: had done the work before Hollywood ever figured out what
- 24:49Speaker 18: to do with her. Then in 1981, Michael Bennett, he
- 24:52Speaker 18: cast her in this new Broadway musical about a girl group.
- 24:55Speaker 18: Jennifer Holliday, Cheryl Lee Ralph, and Miss Loretta Devine.
- 24:59Speaker 6: Dreamgirls.
- 25:01Speaker 3: You've heard it.
- 25:02Speaker 18: And Loretta is L'Oreal. And if you know anything, you
- 25:05Speaker 18: know Loretta's right in the middle of everything. She's funny.
- 25:07Speaker 3: She's loyal.
- 25:08Speaker 18: She's in a relationship with this married man that goes
- 25:10Speaker 18: on entirely too long. And then eventually, she has enough.
- 25:15Speaker 18: Loretta did that eight shows a week. For years. And
- 25:19Speaker 18: she's talked about how much she's learned working beside Jennifer
- 25:21Speaker 18: Holliday and Shirley Ralph every night. Michael Bennett used to
- 25:24Speaker 18: tell them, it's show business, not show charity. And Loretta
- 25:29Speaker 18: clearly heard him. Because after Dreamgirls, she worked.
- 25:33Speaker 1: A lot.
- 25:35Speaker 18: Her resume after that just gets ridiculous. She goes from
- 25:38Speaker 18: Dreamgirls into more theater. She played Billie Holiday on stage.
- 25:42Speaker 18: Then television and film really start opening up for her.
- 25:45Speaker 18: And in 1995, she became Gloria in Waiting to Exhale. Now,
- 25:49Speaker 18: if you've ever watched that movie in a room full
- 25:51Speaker 18: of black women, I don't need to explain Gloria to you.
- 25:55Speaker 18: You know Gloria. We know Gloria. Loretta wins an NAACP
- 25:59Speaker 18: Image Award for that performance. And after Gloria, she becomes
- 26:02Speaker 18: one of those actresses where, like, the second she shows up,
- 26:05Speaker 18: you already know she gonna give you something. The Preacher's Wife,
- 26:08Speaker 18: Boston Public. Crash for Colored Girls. Then Grey's Anatomy, where
- 26:13Speaker 18: she plays Adele Webber and finally wins an Emmy in 2011.
- 26:16Speaker 18: And then there's This Christmas, my dear, which means that
- 26:21Speaker 18: Loretta Devine has been sitting in Black people's living rooms
- 26:23Speaker 18: every December for years, telling grown children to come downstairs
- 26:27Speaker 18: and deal with whatever foolishness they brought in her house.
- 26:30Speaker 18: Then she becomes Medea on Family Reunion. So now another
- 26:33Speaker 18: generation knows her. And if those kids are too young
- 26:36Speaker 18: for that, she's Hallie the Hippo on Doc McStuffins. She
- 26:40Speaker 18: got everybody, toddlers included. And what's interesting to me is
- 26:44Speaker 18: that so many of the women that Loretta plays, they
- 26:47Speaker 18: have this confidence, you know? They say what they mean.
- 26:50Speaker 18: They take up space. They know exactly who they are.
- 26:54Speaker 18: And then Loretta herself says that that's not really her.
- 26:57Speaker 18: Last year, she was asked about a character that she
- 26:59Speaker 18: was playing. This bold grandmother who didn't care about what
- 27:02Speaker 18: anybody thinks. And Loretta says that she was raised by
- 27:05Speaker 18: Southern women. You are humble.
- 27:07Speaker 3: You are grateful.
- 27:09Speaker 18: You don't make everything about yourself. She said she learned
- 27:11Speaker 18: to be quiet. And suddenly, the fear made more sense.
- 27:15Speaker 18: Because this woman has spent decades playing women who walk
- 27:17Speaker 18: into a room and own it, while apparently still carrying
- 27:21Speaker 18: this little voice inside that still says, Be grateful, they called.
- 27:25Speaker 18: Don't assume there'll be another job. Don't get too comfortable.
- 27:29Speaker 18: And that's wild to me because if anybody should expect
- 27:31Speaker 18: that phone to ring, it is Miss Loretta Devine. But
- 27:35Speaker 18: she teaches too. She's done masterclasses for younger performers through
- 27:40Speaker 18: Wendy Raquel Robinson's conservatory in LA. She's talked about longevity
- 27:44Speaker 18: in a way that I really like. About younger Black
- 27:47Speaker 18: performers needing to see somebody making a living doing this
- 27:49Speaker 18: for decades. To see that it's possible to build a career,
- 27:53Speaker 18: feed your family, and still be working when the industry
- 27:56Speaker 18: has moved on to whoever it decided was new this week.
- 27:59Speaker 18: You know, Loretta has been proving that for more than
- 28:02Speaker 18: 40 years. And then I found another connection that just
- 28:05Speaker 18: made me smile. Loretta has supported the KISS Foundation and
- 28:09Speaker 18: does work with families affected by sickle cell. And if
- 28:12Speaker 18: that name sounds familiar, it should. That's Kiki Shepard's foundation.
- 28:17Speaker 18: Everything is connected. So Kiki was doing the work around
- 28:20Speaker 18: sickle cell and Loretta was standing right there with her.
- 28:23Speaker 18: And now I'm talking about both of them in the
- 28:24Speaker 18: same series.
- 28:26Speaker 3: I love this. Especially.
- 28:28Speaker 18: during Sickle Cell Awareness Month. And one thing I want
- 28:31Speaker 18: to leave in here because it's useful. Black blood donors
- 28:34Speaker 18: are much more likely to be compatible with Black patients
- 28:37Speaker 18: who have sickle cell disease. And there's still nowhere near
- 28:41Speaker 18: enough Black blood donors. So if you've been thinking about
- 28:44Speaker 18: giving blood, here's your reminder. So aside from that, they
- 28:47Speaker 18: announced that Dreamgirls was headed back to Broadway. And Loretta
- 28:51Speaker 18: basically asked why people weren't building their own shows instead.
- 28:53Speaker 18: And she caught some heat for that, but she said
- 28:56Speaker 18: it anyway, you know? 44 years of being an original
- 29:00Speaker 18: dream girl. She's looking at that next generation and saying,
- 29:03Speaker 18: build something new. And I love her for that. I mean,
- 29:08Speaker 18: because the woman who says that she learned to be
- 29:10Speaker 18: quiet is still very capable of speaking up when she
- 29:14Speaker 18: has something to say. And I just kind of keep
- 29:16Speaker 18: coming back to when Loretta says that she still gets
- 29:18Speaker 18: surprised when she gets hired because at 77 years old,
- 29:22Speaker 18: after Dreamgirls, after Waiting to Exhale, after the Emmy, after
- 29:26Speaker 18: 45 years of work, She still sounds like somebody who
- 29:30Speaker 18: doesn't assume that Hollywood owes her anything. She never plays
- 29:33Speaker 18: these women like they're just the filler. The mother, the auntie,
- 29:36Speaker 18: the best friend, the wife, the grandmother. She gives them
- 29:39Speaker 18: all a whole lot. You can feel the years they
- 29:41Speaker 18: live before the scene starts. That's Loretta Devine's gift. She
- 29:45Speaker 18: can walk into somebody else's story and somehow make you
- 29:49Speaker 18: wonder what her character was doing before the camera got there.
- 29:52Speaker 18: And after all these years, that voice, that face, that laugh,
- 29:57Speaker 18: They feel familiar in a way that very few actors
- 30:00Speaker 18: get to become. Loretta Devine has spent more than 40
- 30:02Speaker 18: years making supporting characters feel impossible to forget. So, Miss Loretta,
- 30:09Speaker 18: please take a bow. These flowers are yours.
- 30:15Speaker 3: Time to troll.
- 30:16Speaker 5: We back, Blacks, and it's now time to troll this timeline.
- 30:20Speaker 5: All right, let's start off disgusting right there in the
- 30:23Speaker 5: heart of chaos. According to CBS News headlines, 17 Disney
- 30:29Speaker 5: and Universal employees among 281 arrested in Florida sex trafficking sting,
- 30:35Speaker 5: Sheriff says.
- 30:37Speaker 3: Oh, yeah. Don't give me that look. Listen. All right.
- 30:43Speaker 5: So I don't know if you've heard this, but like
- 30:46Speaker 5: over the years, like this is aside from the story
- 30:49Speaker 5: before I get into the story. But over the years,
- 30:51Speaker 5: I've always heard rumors of.
- 30:54Speaker 3: You know disney quietly covertly doing you know oh yes
- 30:59Speaker 3: have you heard that shit too really all the all
- 31:02Speaker 3: the stuff that happens underground.
- 31:04Speaker 5: Yeah so what stuff have you heard i just heard
- 31:06Speaker 5: the uh sex trafficking thing but they said the same
- 31:10Speaker 5: thing about walmart and stuff so i don't know.
- 31:13Speaker 3: I've never heard it about walmart but i've definitely heard
- 31:15Speaker 3: like all kind of weird things about stuff that happens
- 31:17Speaker 3: at disney wow.
- 31:19Speaker 5: Well, according to CBS News, there were 17 Disney World
- 31:25Speaker 5: and Universal Studios employees among 281 suspects arrested during a
- 31:31Speaker 5: human trafficking and child sexual predators enforcement operation. Sheriff Grady
- 31:37Speaker 5: Judd said in a press conference Friday that the joint operation,
- 31:40Speaker 5: which took place over seven days, focused on nabbing predators
- 31:44Speaker 5: who prey upon animals. and traveled to meet children for
- 31:47Speaker 5: unlawful sexual activity and human trafficking. He said 31 of
- 31:52Speaker 5: the suspects traveled to the county to attempt to have
- 31:56Speaker 5: sex with a child.
- 31:58Speaker 3: What? Judd said during the press conference that 13 of
- 32:06Speaker 3: the suspects arrested were Disney employees and 4 were Universal
- 32:11Speaker 3: Studios employees.
- 32:13Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 32:14Speaker 3: Oh, oh, see, no, no. And you can't even catch
- 32:17Speaker 3: stuff like that on a background check until they get
- 32:20Speaker 3: caught the first time.
- 32:21Speaker 5: Well, at the end of the article, it says Judd
- 32:23Speaker 5: said 32 suspects were undocumented immigrants and so far 16
- 32:28Speaker 5: have been transferred over to ICE. He said that 24
- 32:32Speaker 5: of the suspects brought firearms with them to the meetings
- 32:35Speaker 5: and nine were on probation.
- 32:39Speaker 3: So... In the words of Lizzo, it's about damn time. Listen... Ice,
- 32:43Speaker 3: finally y'all did something right. Hmm. Y'all... This is... Oh
- 32:48Speaker 3: my God. What the hell?
- 32:50Speaker 4: Listen.
- 32:51Speaker 3: Took two damn years. But if you look it up, like, again,
- 32:54Speaker 3: we're audio, so y'all can't watch this, but if you
- 32:57Speaker 3: look it up on TikTok, just put in the search bar,
- 33:01Speaker 3: Mickey Mouse arrested for sex trafficking. Yeah, the nigga in
- 33:05Speaker 3: the Mickey Mouse outfit. No, not Mickey. Mickey... mickey was
- 33:09Speaker 3: out here groping and peeding yeah yeah yeah so how
- 33:16Speaker 3: old what were the ages of these people.
- 33:19Speaker 5: It said anything from well they did not give actual
- 33:23Speaker 5: ages but i know the one that i was talking
- 33:26Speaker 5: about with the mickey thing i think he was in.
- 33:28Speaker 3: His uh 30s okay yeah all right but y'all look
- 33:34Speaker 3: it up your turn All right, so Faith Evans is
- 33:37Speaker 3: now liable to pay $ 12. 5 million to the trust of
- 33:40Speaker 3: Notorious Big's late mom, Valetta. Did you hear about this?
- 33:43Speaker 16: No.
- 33:44Speaker 3: Yes. So Wayne Barrow, who is the Notorious B.I.G. sole trustee,
- 33:50Speaker 3: initially filed against Faith Evans back in July, and they
- 33:54Speaker 3: just awarded in October, issued the letter to both parties
- 34:00Speaker 3: in Delaware. And she's liable for $ 12. 5 million that is owed. Well, actually... $ 12, 518, 336.
- 34:06Speaker 3: To every cent. Oh, yes. Now, this is the interesting part,
- 34:14Speaker 3: and I'm wondering what the rest of this story is,
- 34:17Speaker 3: because they're not saying everything, but first of all, I
- 34:20Speaker 3: looked up Faith Evans' net worth. Okay. There's conflicting numbers.
- 34:27Speaker 3: I'm hearing something as high as 20, and I'm hearing
- 34:31Speaker 3: a lot of 3 to 5s.
- 34:33Speaker 6: Million.
- 34:34Speaker 3: Oh. If she owes 12, even if she owes 12.5
- 34:37Speaker 3: or has 20 million to owe 12.5, that that's going
- 34:42Speaker 3: to change her lifestyle quite a bit. Also her son,
- 34:48Speaker 3: who she had with Biggie is the one who was
- 34:50Speaker 3: the sole heir to the estate. Once Valetta died, which
- 34:55Speaker 3: is Biggie's mom. I mean, yeah, Biggie's mom. However, weeks
- 34:59Speaker 3: before she died, uh, They switched it over to Barrows.
- 35:05Speaker 3: So he was like his manager or something like that
- 35:08Speaker 3: prior to that. These people be having so many scandals.
- 35:13Speaker 3: So this guy who nobody really knows out like that
- 35:18Speaker 3: is now getting this $ 12. 5 million for the estate. And
- 35:23Speaker 3: I don't even know... I didn't know that Biggie was
- 35:25Speaker 3: making money like that still. And I'm really surprised.
- 35:29Speaker 19: $ 12.
- 35:29Speaker 3: 5 million? I mean, it was Biggie, though.
- 35:35Speaker 17: Yeah.
- 35:36Speaker 3: I mean, well, I mean, you know, sometimes you're worth
- 35:40Speaker 3: more than head. Okay, anyways, since we are talking about... Hey,
- 35:43Speaker 3: Clive knew that. Well, you know, since we're talking.
- 35:49Speaker 5: About rap, we can talk about Nicki being ogled by
- 35:51Speaker 5: the Party of Conservative Values.
- 35:53Speaker 7: Ugh.
- 35:55Speaker 5: So, according to People.com headline, Trump compliments Nicki Minaj's, quote,
- 36:00Speaker 5: beautiful ass end quote as white house teases her as
- 36:04Speaker 5: next next next press secretary i love it i'd hate it.
- 36:11Speaker 3: I want this to happen so badly like i need
- 36:14Speaker 3: y'all to understand just how bad i want this i
- 36:18Speaker 3: do not want this because i think that she is
- 36:20Speaker 3: going to look like a complete and utter fool but
- 36:24Speaker 3: at this point it makes everything else look like an
- 36:27Speaker 3: even bigger joke.
- 36:28Speaker 5: None of this makes sense because Nikki... Okay, so y'all
- 36:31Speaker 5: wanted the bad immigrants out.
- 36:33Speaker 3: So, Nikki... Is she legal? Is she... She's still unable
- 36:39Speaker 3: to vote. So she's not a citizen. So Nikki's not
- 36:42Speaker 3: a citizen. But her husband is. still but he can't
- 36:45Speaker 3: vote either because he's a sex offender yeah yeah but
- 36:48Speaker 3: her brother i think her brother could vote oh no
- 36:50Speaker 3: he can't vote either because he's a pedophile in jail i.
- 36:53Speaker 5: Mean it's just it keeps happening like nikki just keeps
- 36:56Speaker 5: surrounding herself with this kind of a social circle girl
- 37:00Speaker 5: you fell into a bad crowd like you know you're
- 37:03Speaker 5: hanging out with the ratchet what's going on.
- 37:08Speaker 3: Like the article.
- 37:10Speaker 5: Says, Nicki Minaj and President Donald Trump have exchanged compliments
- 37:13Speaker 5: during his second presidency with the rapper declaring herself as his, quote,
- 37:18Speaker 5: number one fan, end quote, in January and Trump calling
- 37:21Speaker 5: her a great friend over the summer. On Sunday, October 25th,
- 37:26Speaker 5: Minaj again garnered praise from the president, this time by
- 37:31Speaker 5: way of her backside. Quote, I looked at one hell
- 37:38Speaker 5: of a beautiful ass before Nicki Minaj. Trump, 80, told
- 37:43Speaker 5: supporters at a rally.
- 37:46Speaker 3: Sunday in Michigan, nine days before the midterm elections. He goes, quote,
- 37:53Speaker 3: that's hard to miss.
- 37:56Speaker 4: What?
- 37:57Speaker 5: Okay, so you're the party of conservative values. Both Trump
- 38:01Speaker 5: and Nicki are married. You're the party of conservative values.
- 38:07Speaker 5: Trump is ogling another woman. Y'all, Jesus said... Jesus, come
- 38:13Speaker 5: get your kids.
- 38:14Speaker 3: They are wild. But hold up, though. Because keep in mind,
- 38:16Speaker 3: at that same rally, right before that, he was also
- 38:19Speaker 3: talking about John Husted's ass, too. I mean, maybe he's
- 38:23Speaker 3: an ass man. He was really going in... Well, he
- 38:25Speaker 3: was going in on John Husted's everything. Gross. His whole everything. Gross. Yeah.
- 38:31Speaker 3: He was like, I looked at his legs and his
- 38:33Speaker 3: feet are so big. I was like, ooh.
- 38:35Speaker 6: I don't know.
- 38:37Speaker 3: I know what they say about men with big feet.
- 38:39Speaker 3: I was like, Trump, no. Don't do this. Like, please don't.
- 38:45Speaker 3: Just don't. And then, I mean, Nikki, as press secretary,
- 38:51Speaker 3: I do not. I cannot. I want it. I want
- 38:53Speaker 3: it so bad.
- 38:53Speaker 6: I don't.
- 38:54Speaker 3: I do not. At least it'll be entertaining. Because at
- 38:57Speaker 3: this point, think about it. And hell, why not let
- 39:02Speaker 3: a black woman get a little bit of money?
- 39:04Speaker 6: But.
- 39:05Speaker 3: Oh, no, you're not doing that.
- 39:09Speaker 9: What?
- 39:10Speaker 3: So Marcus Smoot ain't for black women, is that what
- 39:11Speaker 3: it is? But you know what? That would be comedic funny.
- 39:18Speaker 3: It would be funny to watch. But as far as the...
- 39:22Speaker 3: I'm done with the clown show. Let's get some seriousness
- 39:25Speaker 3: in here. I am as well, but until he's gone,
- 39:28Speaker 3: we're not going to get it. We're really... never going
- 39:30Speaker 3: to get it. We're not going to get it. So
- 39:32Speaker 3: just make it work? Yeah. Think about it. Even when
- 39:36Speaker 3: Caroline Leavitt was in there, they would ask questions and stuff.
- 39:39Speaker 3: We never got answers. That's stupid. When the press secretary
- 39:46Speaker 3: is telling you that your questions are stupid and it's
- 39:48Speaker 3: not answering them, It's really pointless anyway. Like, after a while,
- 39:52Speaker 3: you're not getting anything through. And then the last bimbo,
- 39:54Speaker 3: she didn't know anything. God, she was awful.
- 39:57Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 39:58Speaker 3: And did you see all... They ate... The internet ate
- 40:01Speaker 3: her face.
- 40:03Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 40:04Speaker 3: Absolutely. So, because... Because of her... Yeah, why not? Let
- 40:07Speaker 3: Nikki come in and make a fool of herself and
- 40:09Speaker 3: do something. She might even drop a couple... She might
- 40:11Speaker 3: even drop a couple of lyrics.
- 40:13Speaker 4: No.
- 40:14Speaker 6: No.
- 40:14Speaker 9: No.
- 40:14Speaker 3: Nope. Nope. Nope. Not with it.
- 40:19Speaker 5: Nikki is like the the rap girl she's like i
- 40:23Speaker 5: i just i hate the way that her career has
- 40:26Speaker 5: turned i just not saying that i was ever a
- 40:28Speaker 5: nikki stan because i was not i was never a
- 40:31Speaker 5: barb i wasn't even really that crazy about her music
- 40:34Speaker 5: but i was happy of the energy that she brought
- 40:37Speaker 5: out of so many other people she made so many
- 40:40Speaker 5: other she gave so many other people community by way
- 40:43Speaker 5: of fandom And I do love that.
- 40:45Speaker 3: So I kind of.
- 40:45Speaker 5: Hate it for those people, but they still have the
- 40:48Speaker 5: friendships that, you know, it is what it is.
- 40:50Speaker 3: You know what I want? Saturday Night Live to do
- 40:53Speaker 3: a like skit. Of course. I want to dissect what
- 40:58Speaker 3: I want to dissect the switch of Nicki Minaj in
- 41:02Speaker 3: five years. Like, like, like right now, I feel like
- 41:04Speaker 3: everything's still like the switch is still happening. And it's like,
- 41:08Speaker 3: is she going back to her roots?
- 41:10Speaker 6: Yes.
- 41:10Speaker 3: Or is this just a grift to get by for
- 41:13Speaker 3: something that we don't know that she's necessarily getting? What
- 41:16Speaker 3: is she getting out of this? Because the fact that
- 41:19Speaker 3: she's talking about how fine... You saw that she said
- 41:22Speaker 3: he was fine, right? I did. Nicki Minaj, who has
- 41:27Speaker 3: been with plenty of beautiful men, plenty, said Donald Trump
- 41:33Speaker 3: was fine. Come on now. What is she getting out
- 41:36Speaker 3: of this? So in five years, I just got to
- 41:38Speaker 3: know what... I gotta know. I gotta know. I'm Megan.
- 41:43Speaker 3: I'm Megan. I'm Dolce. I'm Dolce. I'm Beyonce.
- 41:50Speaker 18: And I'm Nicki.
- 41:53Speaker 3: That little dirty bitch. Okay, moving on. Okay, well, keeping
- 41:56Speaker 3: it at the rallies, did you hear about the guy
- 41:59Speaker 3: who was trolling them who looked like he was a
- 42:01Speaker 3: MAGA guy? That was the best shit ever. They were
- 42:04Speaker 3: dick in hand. They walked up there and it happened twice.
- 42:09Speaker 3: There were a couple of people that this happened to
- 42:11Speaker 3: because there was one that they asked about, why are
- 42:13Speaker 3: you here? As far as like, what are some of
- 42:16Speaker 3: the things that you're interested in hearing him talk about?
- 42:20Speaker 3: And he started talking about like affordability and the gas price.
- 42:23Speaker 3: And they were like, oh, okay, okay.
- 42:26Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 42:27Speaker 3: But this one, the one that got me was when
- 42:30Speaker 3: they asked, why are you here? And he said, well,
- 42:31Speaker 3: in the late 70s, I was a little too young
- 42:34Speaker 3: to get involved. And Go to South America for the
- 42:36Speaker 3: Jonestown Massacre. But this is as close as I'll ever get,
- 42:39Speaker 3: so that's why I'm here. And when they followed up
- 42:42Speaker 3: with him and said, wait a minute, what do you mean?
- 42:44Speaker 3: Jonestown Massacre. He was like, there's nothing like seeing a
- 42:46Speaker 3: cult right up front. Let me tell you, that was
- 42:52Speaker 3: pure gold. It was on live TV, so they couldn't
- 42:54Speaker 3: even stop it. I loved it.
- 42:57Speaker 5: That I love that because it shows and you know
- 43:00Speaker 5: half of these people it's been proven that half of
- 43:03Speaker 5: these people online y'all are arguing with bots I will
- 43:07Speaker 5: leave a comment but very.
- 43:09Speaker 3: Seldom will I engage unless I know it's like a
- 43:11Speaker 3: person and the way that I know it's a person
- 43:14Speaker 3: like if they are real real stupid and all this
- 43:16Speaker 3: kind of shit is misspelled and shit I'm like oh
- 43:19Speaker 3: no that's somebody who's cousin is also they aunt so.
- 43:23Speaker 5: Like it's all that So, I don't know how y'all
- 43:29Speaker 5: be doing stuff like that, but y'all make it happen.
- 43:33Speaker 3: Is it my turn? Yeah, it's your turn. All righty.
- 43:37Speaker 3: Headline from the Hill.
- 43:39Speaker 5: Latest pre-election polling shows blue tsunami on horizon.
- 43:43Speaker 3: Now, we are going to.
- 43:45Speaker 5: This show will air on the day of the midterm. So, like, y'all,
- 43:50Speaker 5: it's coming.
- 43:51Speaker 3: They're saying... Well, I... Light some sage, say a prayer,
- 43:56Speaker 3: cross your fingers. Yeah, all that good stuff.
- 44:00Speaker 5: Like I said, The Hill reports, political analyst Nate Silver
- 44:03Speaker 5: predicted Sunday that a, quote, blue tsunami is on the horizon. Silver,
- 44:08Speaker 5: a political forecaster and statistician, reacted to the newest slate
- 44:12Speaker 5: of polling from the New York Times and Siena University
- 44:16Speaker 5: showing Democrats leading their GOP opponents in key state contests.
- 44:21Speaker 3: So.
- 44:24Speaker 5: They're talking about the final round of the polls released
- 44:28Speaker 5: by the Times on Sunday showed Democrats leading in many
- 44:32Speaker 5: of the key Senate battlegrounds, including in Michigan by 11
- 44:38Speaker 5: percentage points, in Texas by 7, Kansas by 5, and
- 44:42Speaker 5: Alaska by 1. Silver said the polls results were close,
- 44:46Speaker 5: but not within his model's weird territory, adding that the
- 44:50Speaker 5: data suggests Democrats are likely to take the Senate. So
- 44:55Speaker 5: we know that something's afoot. We know they not going
- 44:59Speaker 5: to go down. I mean, to be you're taking like
- 45:04Speaker 5: a piece of candy from a toddler and it.
- 45:07Speaker 3: The toddler is going to have a tantrum.
- 45:11Speaker 7: Yes.
- 45:11Speaker 3: They will.
- 45:12Speaker 6: Yes.
- 45:13Speaker 3: They will fight you.
- 45:14Speaker 5: They will sit there and show out in that store,
- 45:16Speaker 5: fall all the fuck out, roll around in the aisle,
- 45:19Speaker 5: and embarrass your black ass.
- 45:20Speaker 7: And why?
- 45:20Speaker 3: Because they ain't got no damn home training. Or your
- 45:22Speaker 3: white ass. Because we don't do that. Not at all.
- 45:26Speaker 3: Not at all. All right.
- 45:31Speaker 5: Uh, I'm just, I'm hoping for this blue tsunami. They're
- 45:35Speaker 5: saying that it's coming. Um, like, like I'll say, keep
- 45:38Speaker 5: your fingers crossed. You guys will hear this.
- 45:40Speaker 3: Um, and above all vote.
- 45:43Speaker 7: Yes.
- 45:44Speaker 3: Yes.
- 45:44Speaker 5: I'm getting into that in my segment, but yeah, no,
- 45:48Speaker 5: I got something coming, but definitely absolutely go out there
- 45:51Speaker 5: and vote. If you are hearing us the morning of,
- 45:53Speaker 5: and this is November 3rd, take your black ass to
- 45:58Speaker 5: them polls.
- 45:59Speaker 3: Shoot at, Shake your black eyes to the pole. But anyways, uh,
- 46:06Speaker 3: you got anything else?
- 46:07Speaker 6: I'm good.
- 46:08Speaker 3: I'm good.
- 46:09Speaker 8: Okay.
- 46:09Speaker 3: Cause we ain't even gonna talk about the chef boy.
- 46:12Speaker 3: I'd be girl.
- 46:14Speaker 6: Okay.
- 46:15Speaker 3: I don't know about the chef boy or D girl,
- 46:16Speaker 3: but I did. I was going to talk about that
- 46:18Speaker 3: girl on the plane. Oh, tell me. Okay. That's better
- 46:22Speaker 3: than the chef boy. So there was this lady who
- 46:25Speaker 3: was on, on the plane. Um, her name's Tamiko Harvey
- 46:29Speaker 3: and she was sitting beside a Karen who they were
- 46:36Speaker 3: on an international flight actually coming to DC from Istanbul
- 46:40Speaker 3: and she said that she was there for her father's
- 46:46Speaker 3: passing and everything and she was coming back and there
- 46:51Speaker 3: was a white lady who was sitting beside her in
- 46:53Speaker 3: the middle seat and she was on the aisle There
- 46:57Speaker 3: was a gentleman two seats above or in front of them. Oh,
- 47:01Speaker 3: that was her husband. I did. Was her husband. And
- 47:04Speaker 3: he was in the middle seat. I heard about that.
- 47:07Speaker 3: She wanted to be on the aisle seat so she
- 47:08Speaker 3: could walk up and see him from time to time.
- 47:12Speaker 3: So she wanted to Miko to move over into the
- 47:14Speaker 3: middle seat. Right. It wasn't even because at first I
- 47:17Speaker 3: was like, oh, so she could sit beside her husband.
- 47:20Speaker 9: No.
- 47:21Speaker 3: So she could sit across from her husband. No. So
- 47:24Speaker 3: she could sit right behind him.
- 47:25Speaker 6: No.
- 47:26Speaker 3: So she could just access him a little bit more.
- 47:29Speaker 5: So she didn't ask to switch seats. It was just
- 47:32Speaker 5: she wanted the opportunity to just walk up.
- 47:35Speaker 3: She asked to switch seats so she could have the
- 47:38Speaker 3: aisle seat so she could walk up and see him.
- 47:40Speaker 5: It would be a thing where maybe her husband would
- 47:43Speaker 5: be like, hey, do you mind switching seats so my
- 47:45Speaker 5: husband can sit here? I've done that on planes where
- 47:48Speaker 5: friends and stuff were traveling together.
- 47:50Speaker 3: They're like, I don't mind. Yeah, but they both had
- 47:52Speaker 3: middle seats. Nobody wanted that. And you should have planned
- 47:56Speaker 3: at it. But this lady sat there for three hours crying, boo-hooing,
- 48:03Speaker 3: waiting for someone to take her tears seriously and let
- 48:07Speaker 3: her have that aisle seat. And you know what Tomiko did?
- 48:12Speaker 3: Absolutely nothing. Absolutely. Good job, black woman. Right. Because, no.
- 48:19Speaker 3: In the vein of Claudette Colvin, she sat her black
- 48:22Speaker 3: ass down.
- 48:23Speaker 5: In the words of Marcus Snoop, No, because what the fuck?
- 48:27Speaker 3: Like, y'all don't get everything.
- 48:29Speaker 5: I cannot believe that this woman, had it not been recorded,
- 48:33Speaker 5: because I saw the video. Had it not been recorded,
- 48:37Speaker 5: I would have not believed this.
- 48:38Speaker 3: Three hours? I would not believe this. Aren't you tired?
- 48:44Speaker 3: And you know what? That kind of behavior lets you
- 48:46Speaker 3: know that somewhere along the way, somebody gave in around
- 48:51Speaker 3: hour two and a half. That's the only reason she
- 48:53Speaker 3: had the stamina for three because she knows that eventually
- 48:57Speaker 3: people will give in. It's just like a kid. Not
- 48:59Speaker 3: more toddlers. Right. Kids will stop when they realize they've
- 49:04Speaker 3: hit their limit. That is awful. I hate it. I
- 49:07Speaker 3: hate it here. Right.
- 49:09Speaker 6: All right.
- 49:09Speaker 3: Three hours. Grown ass woman crying because she can't sit
- 49:13Speaker 3: on the aisle. Her husband had his headphones on and
- 49:17Speaker 3: was knocked out. Her husband probably can't stand her ass. either.
- 49:20Speaker 3: That's why they didn't buy seats together. He enjoyed the piece.
- 49:22Speaker 3: He was like, oh, thank God it was a vacation.
- 49:24Speaker 5: Right, and I'm like, I got two other motherfuckers next
- 49:28Speaker 5: to me. There's no way that bitch can get next
- 49:30Speaker 5: to me.
- 49:31Speaker 3: Like, there's no way. Nobody wants this seat. Yes, I
- 49:33Speaker 3: hate it. I'll take it, I'll take it. Yeah, I'll
- 49:35Speaker 3: tell you what. If she sits next to me, I
- 49:38Speaker 3: will jump out of this plane. I swear to God.
- 49:40Speaker 20: Like.
- 49:42Speaker 3: As a matter of fact, give me that exit row. Oh,
- 49:45Speaker 3: white women have got to be detestable. Can you imagine?
- 49:49Speaker 3: To somebody that literally will cry on an airplane for
- 49:54Speaker 3: how many hours again?
- 49:55Speaker 8: Three.
- 49:56Speaker 3: Yeah, that long.
- 49:57Speaker 18: Whoa.
- 49:58Speaker 3: Okay. Chef Boyardee girl, keep up the struggle, girl. Okay, listen.
- 50:05Speaker 5: There's this woman that on TikTok, there's no real official story,
- 50:09Speaker 5: but If you look up Chef Boyardee girl, she goes
- 50:14Speaker 5: and buys this, you know, can of ravioli from Chef Boyardee.
- 50:20Speaker 3: When y'all see it, trigger warning. It's disgusting. No, no.
- 50:25Speaker 5: And listen, Chef Boyardee is my favorite. It was my
- 50:29Speaker 5: favorite up until a couple of days ago when I
- 50:31Speaker 5: saw this damn video.
- 50:33Speaker 3: Oh, don't ruin it.
- 50:35Speaker 5: It was frozen in the beginning.
- 50:40Speaker 3: It came out brown. What came out brown? Ravioli. How?
- 50:45Speaker 3: Wait a minute.
- 50:46Speaker 5: I'm talking about the actual can, the contents inside. When
- 50:51Speaker 5: we go on break, I will show y'all.
- 50:53Speaker 2: Okay.
- 50:55Speaker 5: I will show you Elle, but y'all gotta look it
- 50:57Speaker 5: up on TikTok. Look up Chef Boyardee. And it's a
- 51:01Speaker 5: young lady. She has colorful braids and stuff. You have
- 51:04Speaker 5: to look her up.
- 51:05Speaker 3: She.
- 51:08Speaker 3: It's disgusting.
- 51:10Speaker 5: I said that to say, watch what you're eating out here.
- 51:13Speaker 5: We don't have the same protocols in place monitoring our food.
- 51:19Speaker 6: Facts.
- 51:20Speaker 3: Like, that's very real. Y'all, look it up.
- 51:24Speaker 5: If you don't believe me, I mean, there's shit. Half
- 51:27Speaker 5: the government gone. You ain't got to believe me. Just
- 51:29Speaker 5: go off statistics. If he'd have fired half the people,
- 51:32Speaker 5: who do you think watching your food?
- 51:36Speaker 3: So, okay. Potpourri brew up next? Yeah. All right. Let's go.
- 51:44Speaker 3: We'll be right back.
- 51:46Speaker 21: Chef Boyardee, we need to have a talk because it's
- 51:49Speaker 21: come to my attention that you have been hiding and
- 51:53Speaker 21: purposely deleting comments about mine and other people's ravioli situation.
- 51:58Speaker 21: I need you to understand that I posted a video
- 52:00Speaker 21: about that ravioli and it got 600,000 views, okay? I
- 52:05Speaker 21: also need you to understand that that can of ravioli
- 52:08Speaker 21: most likely froze and thawed during transit, meaning it entered
- 52:12Speaker 21: both ends of the food danger zone. meaning that there
- 52:15Speaker 21: was most likely a laundry list of foodborne illnesses in there,
- 52:21Speaker 21: like botulism, E. coli, or salmonella. I need you to
- 52:26Speaker 21: understand that that can could have killed somebody. I'm not
- 52:30Speaker 21: going to mince my words because I'm kind of fired
- 52:33Speaker 21: up about this. That can could have killed somebody. I
- 52:38Speaker 21: luckily have food safety training because I worked in food
- 52:41Speaker 21: service for decades, most of my teen and adult life. Okay,
- 52:46Speaker 21: I luckily knew how to dispose of that can and
- 52:49Speaker 21: disinfect properly after I opened that can and poured it out.
- 52:53Speaker 21: The next consumer may not be so lucky. The next
- 52:57Speaker 21: consumer might think, everything is fine, I'm gonna eat this.
- 53:01Speaker 21: The next consumer might be in a more dire financial
- 53:04Speaker 21: situation than I am and eat it because they might
- 53:08Speaker 21: not have food for the next three days. So instead
- 53:11Speaker 21: of ignoring and deleting all of your comments, maybe you
- 53:15Speaker 21: should look at them and bring light to the situation
- 53:18Speaker 21: and maybe have a food safety inspector go to your
- 53:20Speaker 21: factory before somebody sues the shit out of you. It
- 53:23Speaker 21: won't be me, I don't have the money for that,
- 53:25Speaker 21: but somebody will.
- 53:27Speaker 15: For their part, Donald Trump and JD Vance can't seem
- 53:29Speaker 15: to keep my name out their mouth. They're not really
- 53:34Speaker 15: sure what my name is, to be fair. And when
- 53:38Speaker 15: they say it, they butcher it every time. Donald Trump
- 53:42Speaker 15: with his Abdul. I put that extra sauce on it, man.
- 53:50Speaker 15: So now he's just taking it calling me Muhammad. And
- 53:52Speaker 15: he thinks it's some kind of an insult. Which the
- 53:54Speaker 15: funny thing about it is, my name, Abdul El-Sayed, means
- 53:56Speaker 15: servant leader. The Abdul part is just servant. Muhammad means
- 54:02Speaker 15: praised one. So he took me from servant to praised one.
- 54:05Speaker 6: All right, man. That's what you want to do?
- 54:14Speaker 15: But the reason they keep saying my name is because
- 54:16Speaker 15: they think that they can distract you. They think that
- 54:20Speaker 15: in saying my name, they're going to get you to
- 54:22Speaker 15: stop paying attention to the fact that you can't afford
- 54:24Speaker 15: your gas, can't afford your groceries, can't see a doctor.
- 54:28Speaker 15: But here's the thing, my name and my faith are
- 54:30Speaker 15: not the reason you can't see a doctor. If anything,
- 54:33Speaker 15: if you're seeing a doctor, they might actually have my
- 54:35Speaker 15: name and my faith. They're not the reason you can't
- 54:38Speaker 15: afford your gas, not the reason you can't afford your groceries.
- 54:42Speaker 6: Their policies are.
- 54:44Speaker 15: This absurd tariff war that we're paying $ 5, 600.
- 54:47Speaker 6: A year for because of its vanity.
- 54:50Speaker 15: The insanity of this Iran war that is spiking the
- 54:52Speaker 15: price of our gas and our groceries.
- 54:55Speaker 6: The ridiculousness of the one.
- 54:57Speaker 15: Big ugly bill, which is about to make it a
- 55:00Speaker 15: lot harder for folks in rural communities to get health
- 55:03Speaker 15: care at all.
- 55:06Speaker 6: Those are their policies, and they don't want to talk
- 55:08Speaker 6: about them.
- 55:09Speaker 4: Music.
- 55:11Speaker 6: Facts. Gripes.
- 55:12Speaker 4: It's the L-Train's Potpourri.
- 55:15Speaker 3: It is L-Train's Potpourri, and I'm excited to talk to
- 55:19Speaker 3: you all a little bit about something that's near and
- 55:21Speaker 3: dear to my heart. And that is how I miss
- 55:24Speaker 3: good R & B. And I know you do too.
- 55:28Speaker 3: I know I hear everybody say it all the time.
- 55:31Speaker 3: You know, they don't make music like they used to.
- 55:34Speaker 3: I wish artists recorded music like they used to. R
- 55:37Speaker 3: & B is dead. I hear it all the time
- 55:39Speaker 3: and I miss that. I feel like, you know, sometimes
- 55:42Speaker 3: you look and feel like record labels may have screwed
- 55:44Speaker 3: things up or something like the algorithm is messed up.
- 55:48Speaker 3: And it's like, what is going on? Like, who do
- 55:51Speaker 3: I need the pleasure to get some new music from
- 55:53Speaker 3: some people out there, you know? And like, I would
- 55:56Speaker 3: love to hear stuff from people like Chaka Khan, Millie Jackson,
- 56:00Speaker 3: Lila James, Shante Moore, Eric Benet, Kenny Lattimore, Eddie Hamilton,
- 56:05Speaker 3: Kavon Edmonds, Maya, Gnarls Barkley, Jill Scott. Remember when all
- 56:11Speaker 3: of them had musical stuff coming out and everything like.
- 56:14Speaker 3: Those are the days. Those are the moments that I
- 56:19Speaker 3: wish we had. And if you agree with me right now,
- 56:22Speaker 3: you're part of the problem because all of those people
- 56:24Speaker 3: had music in 2026. Every single one of them have
- 56:28Speaker 3: had music in the last year. Brand new music, new albums,
- 56:32Speaker 3: new collaborations, new singles, new projects. every single one of
- 56:37Speaker 3: those people. Norris Barkley got one called Atlanta. Did you
- 56:40Speaker 3: know that? He even features CeeLo Green on there. That's right.
- 56:44Speaker 3: He features himself. Okay. Anthony Hamilton's got something with Omari Hardwick,
- 56:49Speaker 3: the actor. Kenny Lattimore has one called Lullabies for You.
- 56:54Speaker 3: Shantae Moore has this thing called A Toxic Kind of
- 56:57Speaker 3: Love and it gives you this Jill Scott meets Blow
- 57:00Speaker 3: It Tree meets a 90s retro sound because it's Queen
- 57:03Speaker 3: Sheba and Lil Ronnie and her on this. It's almost
- 57:07Speaker 3: like a Lucy Pearl kind of thing.
- 57:08Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 57:09Speaker 3: Like, people are putting music out there and you gotta
- 57:13Speaker 3: do your research. You gotta look stuff up. Chaka Khan,
- 57:17Speaker 3: I've said it before, Chaka Khan has one called Shockzilla
- 57:20Speaker 3: that just came out this year and it is Everything.
- 57:23Speaker 3: The whole project is everything. Millie Jackson has new stuff.
- 57:27Speaker 3: Lila James has put out a new album within the
- 57:29Speaker 3: last year or two. So these people that I talk about,
- 57:33Speaker 3: as I started saying it, I know you were like,
- 57:35Speaker 3: oh my God, right. I remember those days. And I
- 57:39Speaker 3: need y'all to understand those days are here with us
- 57:41Speaker 3: right now. The problem is with streaming paying pennies and
- 57:45Speaker 3: horrible record deals and a lack of interest in new shit,
- 57:48Speaker 3: legacy artists are nowhere near incentivized to create new music.
- 57:52Speaker 3: out of financial loss. So if we don't support it,
- 57:55Speaker 3: they're not going to put it out. There is no
- 57:57Speaker 3: point in me spending, as an artist, spending a million
- 58:00Speaker 3: dollars or so to produce, promote, and do all this
- 58:03Speaker 3: other stuff where y'all just be like, I want to
- 58:05Speaker 3: hear this shit from the 90s. All right, well, fine.
- 58:08Speaker 3: We're not supporting it as much as we used to,
- 58:10Speaker 3: and we got to. We got to get back to that.
- 58:13Speaker 3: Long gone are the days of Arsenio, BET, and Soul Train,
- 58:16Speaker 3: and all the other avenues and outlets that we had
- 58:20Speaker 3: when it came to seeing... all of our artists that
- 58:23Speaker 3: were doing the damn thing. Even when you go onto YouTube,
- 58:27Speaker 3: if your algorithm is jacked up, then you're only going
- 58:30Speaker 3: to hear the new stuff. And there's nothing wrong with
- 58:32Speaker 3: the new ones. You know, Kehlani, SZA, Jay Howell, a
- 58:37Speaker 3: lot of them. They're good. They're talented. They're great writers.
- 58:40Speaker 3: They're great singers as well. And I support them as well.
- 58:43Speaker 3: But we can't forget our legacy artists. And it burns
- 58:47Speaker 3: me up when I hear people say they wish... First
- 58:52Speaker 3: of all, when they say R & B is dead
- 58:53Speaker 3: because it's not, and then they say, I wish people
- 58:56Speaker 3: put out music like they used to. They do.
- 58:59Speaker 6: They do.
- 59:01Speaker 3: When a person tells me something about an artist that
- 59:03Speaker 3: they love, I'm like, oh, so when was the last
- 59:06Speaker 3: album that you bought? When was the last new song
- 59:07Speaker 3: that you heard from them? And they're like, oh, well,
- 59:10Speaker 3: I remember when they had Sutton when I was like
- 59:12Speaker 3: my freshman year in college. Have you been checking for
- 59:15Speaker 3: them since? Do you look them up? Do you see
- 59:18Speaker 3: if they've got new stuff? Check it out. Support your artists.
- 59:22Speaker 3: It only takes a couple of clicks to go in
- 59:25Speaker 3: and support them, get them in your algorithm, and it's
- 59:29Speaker 3: time that we start to do some research so we
- 59:31Speaker 3: can curate, craft, and curve our own. And I say
- 59:35Speaker 3: curve with a V. Yes. Curve our own algorithm. So,
- 59:40Speaker 3: it's out there. I need y'all to stop being murderers
- 59:42Speaker 3: because y'all have been trying to kill R & B
- 59:44Speaker 3: and it is very much alive. Stop killing people. Killing
- 59:49Speaker 3: R & B.
- 59:49Speaker 9: Wow.
- 59:50Speaker 3: Excuse me. And this is L-Train Poker. Can we ask
- 59:54Speaker 3: follow-up questions? Please do. Alright, so with Do you believe.
- 59:57Speaker 5: That, I guess, algorithms have led to some of this
- 1:00:04Speaker 5: invisibility that some of these artists have? Because right now,
- 1:00:07Speaker 5: I believe that everybody's gotten used to being fed things versus... And,
- 1:00:12Speaker 5: I mean, that was true then, also. We didn't really
- 1:00:14Speaker 5: hear about things. You didn't have the internet to go
- 1:00:16Speaker 5: to to look things up. So, you were kind of
- 1:00:19Speaker 5: fed things by way of radio, by way of television...
- 1:00:24Speaker 5: you know, that's how music kind of got out there.
- 1:00:27Speaker 5: And now that people aren't really listening to terrestrial radio anymore,
- 1:00:32Speaker 5: you know, everything is about the new, I guess the
- 1:00:35Speaker 5: top 100 or whatever on the billboard.
- 1:00:37Speaker 3: And that's pretty much it.
- 1:00:39Speaker 5: And everybody else kind of falls by the wayside other
- 1:00:42Speaker 5: than a feature here and there.
- 1:00:44Speaker 3: Yeah, definitely. I mean, I don't know.
- 1:00:47Speaker 5: I mean, maybe that's why some of these artists aren't
- 1:00:49Speaker 5: being heard because they're I didn't know some of those
- 1:00:53Speaker 5: people released music. I mean, until I started hanging around you.
- 1:00:56Speaker 5: I mean, I didn't really know a whole lot about music.
- 1:00:59Speaker 5: By the way, y'all, he is a wealth of knowledge
- 1:01:02Speaker 5: when it comes to music. So, you will hear often
- 1:01:05Speaker 5: him being very passionate. And if you don't know your stuff,
- 1:01:08Speaker 5: do not have a conversation with this man.
- 1:01:10Speaker 3: Just saying. Don't do that. Just don't. But no, I
- 1:01:15Speaker 3: do think that the algorithm does dictate that at times,
- 1:01:18Speaker 3: but we... we have control over our algorithm. And when
- 1:01:23Speaker 3: it comes to music that we consume, we 100% have
- 1:01:27Speaker 3: control over that. For those who talk about Maya, Maya
- 1:01:34Speaker 3: literally is like, without the crazy, she's like the Stacey
- 1:01:38Speaker 3: Dash of R & B. She has not changed in
- 1:01:42Speaker 3: the sense of, you look at her, she looks the same,
- 1:01:44Speaker 3: she sounds the same. Her last album, It was called
- 1:01:48Speaker 3: Retro Something or whatever. Retrospect. She's giving the little 80s
- 1:01:55Speaker 3: and 90s dances and stuff. She's doing the whopping videos.
- 1:01:58Speaker 3: She has videos out for this album. It's everything. Did
- 1:02:01Speaker 3: not know that. Yeah, it's really good. She still sounds
- 1:02:04Speaker 3: and looks good. Talk about nostalgic. All you got to
- 1:02:08Speaker 3: do is just look and look for certain people. If
- 1:02:12Speaker 3: there's somebody and you're like, I wonder what happened to...
- 1:02:15Speaker 3: Don't kill him. Look him up. Don't kill him. Look
- 1:02:19Speaker 3: him up. That's all I'm going to say. I mean, well,
- 1:02:21Speaker 3: there you go. All right. I guess I'm up next
- 1:02:24Speaker 3: with unseasoned behavior. And, well, I don't know which one
- 1:02:28Speaker 3: I'm going with.
- 1:02:29Speaker 7: All right.
- 1:02:30Speaker 12: Up next.
- 1:02:32Speaker 22: Because of what might happen here on Tuesday night, Trump
- 1:02:35Speaker 22: administration officials are lawyering up. Several of the ones that
- 1:02:38Speaker 22: I've spoken to over the last several weeks say that
- 1:02:41Speaker 22: they've actually obtained attorneys in anticipation of Democrats retaking control
- 1:02:45Speaker 22: of Congress potentially in the 2026 midterms. That's because Democrats
- 1:02:50Speaker 22: are vowing to investigate several aspects of the Trump presidency,
- 1:02:54Speaker 22: ranging from the Justice Department's handling of the Epstein files,
- 1:02:57Speaker 22: the Pentagon's war in Iran and how that's been carried out,
- 1:03:01Speaker 22: to even the first family and the crypto deals that
- 1:03:04Speaker 22: several members of President Trump's family have secured during his
- 1:03:07Speaker 22: first two years in office for his second term. As
- 1:03:11Speaker 22: for the president, he says he will, quote, protect people
- 1:03:14Speaker 22: like Elon Musk if he becomes the target of an
- 1:03:16Speaker 22: investigation for the work that he did on Doge in
- 1:03:19Speaker 22: the beginning of the second term.
- 1:03:21Speaker 3: They want to arrest Elon Musk.
- 1:03:24Speaker 19: They want to seize his factories, nationalize SpaceX.
- 1:03:29Speaker 3: It's talk. But if it is talk, we'll have to
- 1:03:31Speaker 3: protect them.
- 1:03:32Speaker 22: And the president even says he's considering pardons for his
- 1:03:35Speaker 22: staffers should they need them if they become the targets
- 1:03:38Speaker 22: of investigations by Democrats.
- 1:03:40Speaker 2: Can you preemptively pardon them?
- 1:03:42Speaker 3: Well, that's what Biden did. He gave everybody a pardon.
- 1:03:45Speaker 4: I mean, you had the congressional committee, the unselect committee
- 1:03:50Speaker 4: set up.
- 1:03:50Speaker 3: It was a corrupt committee. They were all corrupt. He
- 1:03:54Speaker 3: gave everybody a pardon. Will you do that? I would
- 1:03:57Speaker 3: if I needed to, sure. Everybody who worked for you?
- 1:03:59Speaker 3: I would not even think about it. I'd do it.
- 1:04:01Speaker 3: I did it for J6.
- 1:04:03Speaker 22: As far as any legislation that might get passed here
- 1:04:05Speaker 22: on Capitol Hill in the next two years, should Democrats
- 1:04:07Speaker 22: win back control, and that's still a should, the president
- 1:04:10Speaker 22: also says he'll, quote, become Mr.
- 1:04:12Speaker 10: Vito.
- 1:04:13Speaker 5: Well, if that happens, I guess I'll become Mr.
- 1:04:17Speaker 12: Vito.
- 1:04:17Speaker 13: Yes, I heard the news. The reviews are in for
- 1:04:22Speaker 13: Todrick Hall's gay slave musical.
- 1:04:24Speaker 6: I don't want to do that.
- 1:04:25Speaker 13: Yes, I heard the news.
- 1:04:28Speaker 3: Yes, I heard the news.
- 1:04:28Speaker 13: The reviews are in for Todrick Hall's brand new gay
- 1:04:31Speaker 13: slave musical. So what are the reviewers saying? Are they
- 1:04:34Speaker 13: singing its praises? Do they love it? Like a gay
- 1:04:36Speaker 13: slave loves its master? What's the latest on this story?
- 1:04:39Speaker 13: Let's get into it. So let's break it down.
- 1:04:41Speaker 3: Yeah, they're like, yeah.
- 1:04:43Speaker 13: So what had happened was YouTuber Todrick Hall has a
- 1:04:45Speaker 13: new gay slave musical out that he wrote and choreographed
- 1:04:48Speaker 13: and did all the stuff for it. and it is
- 1:04:50Speaker 13: now playing in very small, sold-out, off-Broadway houses. And apparently, allegedly,
- 1:04:55Speaker 13: this new gay slave musical is set in the South,
- 1:04:58Speaker 13: and it stars Todrick Hall, who falls in love with
- 1:05:00Speaker 13: a white man engaged to the daughter of a plantation owner.
- 1:05:04Speaker 13: And apparently, allegedly, Todrick Hall, who is co-producing the show
- 1:05:07Speaker 13: with Sidney Sweeney's man, Scooter Braun, he called it, quote,
- 1:05:10Speaker 13: a dream come true and an ambitious project. But some
- 1:05:14Speaker 13: black viewers who've actually seen it are saying some other
- 1:05:16Speaker 13: things like, this is three hours of black drama.
- 1:05:19Speaker 6: Okay, yeah.
- 1:05:20Speaker 13: And Todrick Hall's little Twitter fingers have been very busy.
- 1:05:22Speaker 3: In the comment section.
- 1:05:24Speaker 13: Saying things like this. I've spent five years of my
- 1:05:26Speaker 13: career working on my original opera. Everyone is paid to
- 1:05:30Speaker 13: union standards. Every performance has been sold out. There are
- 1:05:33Speaker 13: tons of rave reviews and this is all you post.
- 1:05:36Speaker 13: I understand and I get it, but I'd love to
- 1:05:39Speaker 13: catch a break at some point. The other comments about
- 1:05:42Speaker 13: it are looking something like this. Like, I don't believe
- 1:05:44Speaker 13: any black person could consensually enter into a relationship with
- 1:05:47Speaker 13: a white person during a time when they were literally
- 1:05:50Speaker 13: considered property. Weird to make a musical about it. And
- 1:05:53Speaker 13: he doesn't stop there. He just, he keeps going. He says,
- 1:05:56Speaker 13: I've made over 700 videos and my work shouldn't be minimized.
- 1:05:59Speaker 13: To a few instances, I do like white men, but
- 1:06:01Speaker 13: not exclusively. I go where I'm loved and appreciated, and
- 1:06:04Speaker 13: black men don't always make me feel understood or appreciated.
- 1:06:07Speaker 13: Neither do white men, by the way. Well, then what
- 1:06:10Speaker 13: are you talking about? I don't have any time to
- 1:06:12Speaker 13: decipher what any of that means. My question is simply this.
- 1:06:15Speaker 13: Is this a depiction of humans hanging as set decorations?
- 1:06:21Speaker 13: Bodies hanging from the rafters like this is Phantom of
- 1:06:24Speaker 13: the Opera and it's a chandelier. Is that really what
- 1:06:26Speaker 13: I am seeing? Is that what's going on here? Reviews
- 1:06:29Speaker 13: saying they're seeing a.
- 1:06:30Speaker 3: Lot of good things.
- 1:06:31Speaker 13: Also some things like this. Does Midnight really need clubby
- 1:06:33Speaker 13: strobe lights while Rail gets beaten on a plantation?
- 1:06:36Speaker 3: Probably not.
- 1:06:37Speaker 13: But it certainly is memorable. Midnight does not unfortunately offer
- 1:06:40Speaker 13: the sparkling wit, dazzling score, or sheer ingenuity that more
- 1:06:43Speaker 13: than mitigated the self-importance of Hamilton. And also, you know,
- 1:06:46Speaker 13: Hamilton is a true story and this is someone's plantation fantasy.
- 1:06:50Speaker 13: Don't Forget to vote in November. And don't forget to
- 1:06:53Speaker 13: like and follow. And what do you all think about
- 1:06:55Speaker 13: Todrick Hall and his gay slave musical Plantation Fantasy? Have
- 1:06:59Speaker 13: you seen it? How is it? Do you plan to
- 1:07:01Speaker 13: go see it? And also, why does it exist? Let
- 1:07:04Speaker 13: me know down in the comments, please. Yes, I heard
- 1:07:06Speaker 13: the news. The reviews are in for Todrick Hall's new
- 1:07:09Speaker 13: gay slave love musical.
- 1:07:11Speaker 3: What the fuck am I saying?
- 1:07:13Speaker 4: Marcus has your glimpse into a world without seasoning.
- 1:07:18Speaker 3: All right, we back. It's time for unseasoned behavior. All right,
- 1:07:22Speaker 3: I've figured out which one I'm going with.
- 1:07:25Speaker 5: But, Todrick Hall, you got a cuss out coming. If
- 1:07:28Speaker 5: I think about it in the next couple of weeks.
- 1:07:31Speaker 3: Because he was on my list. He was on my list.
- 1:07:34Speaker 3: He was on my list. Yes, sir. Got it coming.
- 1:07:38Speaker 5: If I think about it, the next couple weeks, you
- 1:07:40Speaker 5: got it coming. That play, abysmal.
- 1:07:43Speaker 3: Oh, my God. We can tag team on that. Oh, no,
- 1:07:47Speaker 3: please not. I'm talking about a read. Maybe once upon.
- 1:07:54Speaker 3: American Idol, Todrick? Maybe.
- 1:07:57Speaker 12: No.
- 1:07:57Speaker 3: All right. We never stood a chance. Didn't want it.
- 1:08:01Speaker 12: All right.
- 1:08:01Speaker 5: Dodged that bullet. But on the eve of midterms. We're
- 1:08:05Speaker 5: recording this now on November 2nd. So this show will
- 1:08:08Speaker 5: come out again, like I said, midterm day. Or midterm
- 1:08:12Speaker 5: voting day. And I just want to address the people
- 1:08:14Speaker 5: that I've seen all over social media telling people not
- 1:08:17Speaker 5: to vote.
- 1:08:17Speaker 3: Because it doesn't work.
- 1:08:19Speaker 5: Then you have people complaining that they're being bullied in
- 1:08:23Speaker 5: the vote.
- 1:08:24Speaker 6: What?
- 1:08:25Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:08:25Speaker 6: What?
- 1:08:26Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:08:27Speaker 3: Yeah. I need to know what that even sounds or
- 1:08:36Speaker 3: looks like. I was bullied into voting. I'm sorry. I'm
- 1:08:41Speaker 3: going to address them separately. Todrick, you really named the
- 1:08:46Speaker 3: character Rel because he was born by DeRel? Anyways, alright.
- 1:08:51Speaker 3: I'm getting sidetracked.
- 1:08:54Speaker 4: No, he didn't.
- 1:08:55Speaker 3: He did. The character is named Rel because he was
- 1:09:00Speaker 3: born by the railroad. Get me out of here. All right.
- 1:09:06Speaker 3: I'm going to address them separately.
- 1:09:08Speaker 5: I'm going to address first the ones saying not to vote,
- 1:09:11Speaker 5: and then I'm going to address the ones wanting to be,
- 1:09:14Speaker 5: I don't know, gentle-parented in the voting.
- 1:09:16Speaker 3: I don't know. All right. So the ones saying not
- 1:09:19Speaker 3: to vote. You bitches make my left nut hurt. Because... Okay.
- 1:09:29Speaker 5: Saying voting doesn't work is a direct spit in the
- 1:09:33Speaker 5: face to the very many before your black ass that
- 1:09:39Speaker 5: lost their life trying to do just to make sure
- 1:09:46Speaker 5: that your black ass even had the right to.
- 1:09:48Speaker 3: Do these things. So that's kind of.
- 1:09:52Speaker 5: It pisses me off when I hear people say don't
- 1:09:55Speaker 5: vote because it doesn't work. Yeah, we know the system
- 1:09:58Speaker 5: isn't perfect. But this is the one bit of power
- 1:10:03Speaker 5: that you have other than something illegal. This is the
- 1:10:08Speaker 5: legal power that you have as a citizen of the.
- 1:10:12Speaker 3: United States to vote. Now, if you choose to not
- 1:10:18Speaker 3: use your voice....
- 1:10:21Speaker 5: Then please exercise that same practice of not voting, and
- 1:10:27Speaker 5: I'm sorry, not using your voice, when you want to
- 1:10:31Speaker 5: tell other people not to vote.
- 1:10:34Speaker 3: You chose to be silent. Stay silent. Shut up.
- 1:10:38Speaker 5: We don't want to hear it, because at this point,
- 1:10:41Speaker 5: you're discouraging everybody else. You're making other people doubt you.
- 1:10:46Speaker 5: A system that you feel has failed you in some way, shape,
- 1:10:49Speaker 5: or form. Otherwise, why would you be saying it? Because
- 1:10:52Speaker 5: some of you just echo what you've been told. So
- 1:10:56Speaker 5: maybe somebody told you that it didn't work. Maybe you're
- 1:10:59Speaker 5: not paying attention to the process. Maybe, I don't know,
- 1:11:04Speaker 5: you got an aunt called or whatever. I don't know
- 1:11:06Speaker 5: what's going on. But what I do know is that.
- 1:11:13Speaker 3: You don't help. If you want to be silent, then
- 1:11:17Speaker 3: be silent.
- 1:11:18Speaker 5: Let everybody else make the decisions for you.
- 1:11:21Speaker 3: Shut up.
- 1:11:23Speaker 5: Moving on to the ones that want to be gentle parented.
- 1:11:26Speaker 5: Like you said, Elle was very flabbergasted by the fact
- 1:11:31Speaker 5: that they won't. They're saying there are people saying that.
- 1:11:36Speaker 5: because you have such heightened energy online, because you have
- 1:11:40Speaker 5: people making videos talking about, if.
- 1:11:43Speaker 3: You don't vote, you are dead to me, and all
- 1:11:46Speaker 3: this other stuff.
- 1:11:47Speaker 5: And I mean, there are people that are very passionate
- 1:11:50Speaker 5: about it, but they're saying that they're being bullied into voting.
- 1:11:53Speaker 5: And I think that you're misreading the energy. It's not
- 1:11:57Speaker 5: about being bullied into voting at this point. It's about
- 1:12:02Speaker 5: people's very real life is like these midterms are serious
- 1:12:07Speaker 5: i know they say it a lot but people when
- 1:12:10Speaker 5: they vote they're voting sometimes for their survival so what
- 1:12:16Speaker 5: you are the what you're taking is bullying is actually
- 1:12:21Speaker 5: panic it's passion it's people trying to survive yeah there's
- 1:12:26Speaker 5: heightened emotions and if you want to be gentle parent
- 1:12:29Speaker 5: to talking about Well, if they would just talk to
- 1:12:32Speaker 5: me about what's going on and who the candidates are. Well,
- 1:12:37Speaker 5: there are websites for that. Just the same internet and
- 1:12:39Speaker 5: stuff that y'all go on to to make these dumbass
- 1:12:42Speaker 5: videos that I gotta watch. You can type in the
- 1:12:44Speaker 5: search bar.
- 1:12:45Speaker 3: Your state. Who's running for whatever. Like, just type it in.
- 1:12:49Speaker 5: Like, AI will answer. Have a whole conversation. Y'all talk
- 1:12:52Speaker 5: to AI about every goddamn thing else. And you can't
- 1:12:55Speaker 5: talk to AI about voting for someone. That makes decisions
- 1:13:01Speaker 5: regarding your actual life. I'm not saying trust these people.
- 1:13:07Speaker 5: I'm not saying that you have to know.
- 1:13:11Speaker 3: I don't know. This may be controversial. But I'm going
- 1:13:15Speaker 3: to say it.
- 1:13:17Speaker 5: If you don't know anything about politics. I'd rather you
- 1:13:20Speaker 5: just not vote. Because in my opinion. We got too
- 1:13:25Speaker 5: many people peeing in the pool right now. That don't
- 1:13:29Speaker 5: know what they're talking about. We see them daily in those. Yeah,
- 1:13:33Speaker 5: it's funny to watch the MAGA people contradict themselves on
- 1:13:36Speaker 5: those videos. But these very real people are out here
- 1:13:39Speaker 5: tilting the vote to the evil.
- 1:13:43Speaker 3: To the evil people. They're making decisions that affect us.
- 1:13:48Speaker 5: That's your one vote. So, now is not the time
- 1:13:52Speaker 5: to tippy toe around and want to be. You know,
- 1:13:55Speaker 5: gentle parenting. If you want somebody to hold your hand
- 1:13:57Speaker 5: at the voting polls, then go. Meet somebody. Go into
- 1:14:01Speaker 5: the community. Get off of the internet and go into
- 1:14:04Speaker 5: the community and see what your vote actually influences.
- 1:14:11Speaker 3: Like, go out there.
- 1:14:12Speaker 5: Look at these people. Look at these establishments. Look at
- 1:14:16Speaker 5: what's on the ballot and what's being voted on. The
- 1:14:20Speaker 5: fact that so many of you adults... need to be
- 1:14:23Speaker 5: gentle parented into adulting is crazy. But we all have
- 1:14:30Speaker 5: a process. We all have steps. We all, you know,
- 1:14:34Speaker 5: you got some, there's some people talking about how they're
- 1:14:37Speaker 5: deconstructing from MAGA, but I'll never vote Democrat.
- 1:14:42Speaker 3: Well, bitch, what are you going to do? If you
- 1:14:45Speaker 3: realize that MAGA is bad and that it's probably not
- 1:14:49Speaker 3: the best time to vote for Republicans, if you've realized that,
- 1:14:53Speaker 3: then why would you still choose to vote Republican? So
- 1:15:02Speaker 3: they're just going to sit it out then? No, they're
- 1:15:04Speaker 3: going to vote for Republicans. Yes, it's dumb. It's the
- 1:15:09Speaker 3: stupidest thing.
- 1:15:10Speaker 5: I just can't see myself voting to be a Democrat.
- 1:15:13Speaker 5: What do you mean voting to be a Democrat? Y'all
- 1:15:16Speaker 5: are talking about identity politics and actual politics.
- 1:15:21Speaker 3: You got your two politics mixed up. You can't be, like,
- 1:15:25Speaker 3: come on now.
- 1:15:26Speaker 5: Half of y'all out here in these dumbass videos do
- 1:15:30Speaker 5: not have a pot to piss in or a window
- 1:15:31Speaker 5: to throw it out.
- 1:15:33Speaker 6: Mm-mm.
- 1:15:36Speaker 3: Are you happy?
- 1:15:37Speaker 6: They're not.
- 1:15:39Speaker 3: Like, how can you continue this cycle? Because of supremacy.
- 1:15:44Speaker 3: That's literally what they're voting for. They're voting for a
- 1:15:48Speaker 3: boys club. Because they're not even getting it. They're not.
- 1:15:51Speaker 3: They're not. They're really not.
- 1:15:54Speaker 5: You got three-year-olds kicking soccer balls around your five-year-olds.
- 1:15:58Speaker 3: Hey, y'all talking about white power. Kiss my ass.
- 1:16:02Speaker 6: That's it.
- 1:16:03Speaker 3: That's all. You got any questions?
- 1:16:05Speaker 12: No.
- 1:16:05Speaker 3: Good. White power's up next. We'll be right back.
- 1:16:10Speaker 11: November 3rd is right around the corner, and you need
- 1:16:12Speaker 11: to get out there and vote. As someone who is
- 1:16:15Speaker 11: a convicted felon, I feel like it is my duty
- 1:16:17Speaker 11: and my obligation to make this clear. Being a convicted
- 1:16:21Speaker 11: felon in the state of Illinois does not automatically disqualify
- 1:16:25Speaker 11: you from being able to vote. No, you cannot vote
- 1:16:28Speaker 11: if you are serving time for a conviction in federal
- 1:16:31Speaker 11: or state prison or a county jail. This includes people
- 1:16:34Speaker 11: that are on work release, furlough, or those living in
- 1:16:37Speaker 11: an adult transitional center. And that's not just for felonies,
- 1:16:40Speaker 11: that's for misdemeanors as well. You absolutely can vote while
- 1:16:44Speaker 11: you are on probation, parole, or mandatory supervised release. But
- 1:16:48Speaker 11: you have to be sure that you are registered and
- 1:16:50Speaker 11: you meet the voting requirements. Some felonies automatically revoke your
- 1:16:54Speaker 11: right to vote. So if you are a convicted felon
- 1:16:56Speaker 11: and you're unsure if you have the right to vote,
- 1:16:58Speaker 11: call 866-OUR-VOTE. They are working overtime to steal this election
- 1:17:03Speaker 11: and every vote matters. If you reside in a state
- 1:17:06Speaker 11: other than Illinois and you are a convicted felon or
- 1:17:09Speaker 11: you have misdemeanors on your records, and you're unsure if
- 1:17:12Speaker 11: you're able to vote, you can go to U.S. Vote
- 1:17:14Speaker 11: Foundation and find out. Even a simple thorough Google check
- 1:17:18Speaker 11: will do. There are a lot of ugly people out
- 1:17:20Speaker 11: here that are counting on you to remain ignorant and
- 1:17:22Speaker 11: uneducated on your voting rights. Find out your status, get registered,
- 1:17:27Speaker 11: and get out there and vote. What's your personal recession indicator?
- 1:17:32Speaker 10: When I was a kid, I grew up telling myself
- 1:17:33Speaker 10: that when I get older, I'm going to help all
- 1:17:35Speaker 10: the poor people in the world, and I'm going to
- 1:17:37Speaker 10: make sure that there's no poor people left in the world.
- 1:17:41Speaker 13: I didn't think I was going to grow up to
- 1:17:42Speaker 13: be one of those poor people.
- 1:17:43Speaker 3: And in today's reality, there is no such thing as
- 1:17:46Speaker 3: far as living above your means.
- 1:17:47Speaker 19: Because everything that this motherfucker is above our means.
- 1:17:50Speaker 3: I don't care if it's food, clothes, water, health insurance,
- 1:17:54Speaker 3: dental insurance, car insurance, homeowner's insurance, real insurance, lashes, haircut, rent, mortgage. Bitch,
- 1:18:00Speaker 3: everything out here is expensive. These pumpkin patches are getting
- 1:18:03Speaker 3: out of hand, man, because it shouldn't cost me and
- 1:18:04Speaker 3: my family of five $ 200 just to go to a
- 1:18:06Speaker 3: pumpkin patch. Because I had to pay for the parking.
- 1:18:17Speaker 7: .
- 1:18:17Speaker 3: .
- 1:18:24Speaker 13: .
- 1:18:24Speaker 20: Every time I get on TikTok, at least one
- 1:18:28Speaker 20: of the lives or every other seems to be a
- 1:18:31Speaker 20: celebrity or TikToker with millions of followers legitimately battling and
- 1:18:36Speaker 20: dry baiting.
- 1:18:37Speaker 3: That's it, that's all. That's the entire TikTok.
- 1:18:38Speaker 20: 24 K points.
- 1:18:40Speaker 3: No, I do not.
- 1:18:41Speaker 17: Keep going, y'all.
- 1:18:41Speaker 11: Keep going.
- 1:18:42Speaker 1: Keep going. Keep going.
- 1:18:43Speaker 6: We got 9,000.
- 1:18:43Speaker 8: Keep going.
- 1:18:43Speaker 1: Keep going.
- 1:18:45Speaker 17: Keep going, Chad.
- 1:18:46Speaker 3: Keep going.
- 1:18:46Speaker 6: Keep going.
- 1:18:47Speaker 12: Hi, my recession indicator is at my daughter, who's about
- 1:18:51Speaker 12: to graduate from college with a degree in radiology sciences,
- 1:18:55Speaker 12: has decided to, instead of purchasing her own home with
- 1:18:59Speaker 12: money she has been saving since elementary school, she's decided
- 1:19:02Speaker 12: to build a bathroom and stay home because it it
- 1:19:07Speaker 12: will be cheaper to build a bathroom in this house
- 1:19:10Speaker 12: and stay here than it would be for rent for
- 1:19:12Speaker 12: one year in an apartment in the city she.
- 1:19:15Speaker 3: Grew up in.
- 1:19:16Speaker 16: We can't even fully season ramen noodles anymore. I don't
- 1:19:19Speaker 16: know anything about the economy, but I know we are
- 1:19:21Speaker 16: in a Great Depression, and you wanna know how I know?
- 1:19:23Speaker 16: I'm a poor medical student, and TBH times this month
- 1:19:27Speaker 16: have been rough. I went to make a packet of
- 1:19:29Speaker 16: chicken-flavored ramen noodles, only to discover that the seasoning packet
- 1:19:32Speaker 16: is about 50% less full.
- 1:19:35Speaker 18: Than I remember it being.
- 1:19:36Speaker 16: And I knew it was less full because normally after
- 1:19:38Speaker 16: you season noodles, they're yellow.
- 1:19:40Speaker 18: My noodles were this color.
- 1:19:43Speaker 14: Is anyone in like complete financial ruin and can't afford
- 1:19:48Speaker 14: anything and falling so far behind like they never have
- 1:19:53Speaker 14: in their life before, but yet they're working as much
- 1:19:56Speaker 14: as they ever have before and making more money than
- 1:19:59Speaker 14: I've ever had before and have like a really great job? No,
- 1:20:03Speaker 14: just me. I need a third job. So does anyone
- 1:20:07Speaker 14: have any recommendations? Cause this is wild.
- 1:20:10Speaker 10: I don't know if this is just an LA thing
- 1:20:13Speaker 10: or the economy is beyond fucked up right now, but
- 1:20:16Speaker 10: why I go to a sandwich shop just now and
- 1:20:19Speaker 10: the total came to 1482 and mind you, the thing
- 1:20:23Speaker 10: says 1199 for a large, that's fine. I understand tax
- 1:20:26Speaker 10: and everything, but I was like, 1482 kind of sounds
- 1:20:29Speaker 10: a little high. And he was like, yeah, you got
- 1:20:32Speaker 10: it toasted. I said, He's like, yeah, it's $ 1. 50 to
- 1:20:36Speaker 10: get it toasted.
- 1:20:41Speaker 3: I said, $ 1.
- 1:20:41Speaker 15: 50?
- 1:20:41Speaker 9: $ 1.
- 1:20:41Speaker 19: 50 to get something toasted?
- 1:20:45Speaker 10: You're going to charge $ 1. 50 just to get something toasted?
- 1:20:49Speaker 19: The job market is so bad right now, I can't
- 1:20:51Speaker 19: even get a part-time job.
- 1:20:53Speaker 3: I thought getting a full-time job was hard.
- 1:20:56Speaker 19: I can imagine people that don't have a job trying
- 1:20:58Speaker 19: to find a job.
- 1:20:59Speaker 3: You call, they don't answer the phone. You send emails,
- 1:21:02Speaker 3: they're not responding to emails. You go up there, manager's
- 1:21:04Speaker 3: not there. If nobody's there, what's the point of having
- 1:21:08Speaker 3: the place open?
- 1:21:09Speaker 1: It's everybody's time.
- 1:21:11Speaker 8: We are so close to having hot people back in office, guys.
- 1:21:14Speaker 3: Get out and vote.
- 1:21:15Speaker 8: We are so close to not having old geriatric bitches
- 1:21:18Speaker 8: up in there.
- 1:21:19Speaker 1: We are so close to hot politicians again.
- 1:21:23Speaker 3: Why do you have roaches? Why do my children hate me?
- 1:21:30Speaker 4: Why do my vagina burn? is out there.
- 1:21:38Speaker 5: Explaining the unexplained, we're answering why to the questions you
- 1:21:41Speaker 5: want to know by taking your skeets over on Blue
- 1:21:43Speaker 5: Sky at WRTR Radio. We take your email at WRTRRadio
- 1:21:47Speaker 5: at gmail.com and this is the Why Files. Remember, the
- 1:21:50Speaker 5: truth is out there. I've gone first. Before, it's your
- 1:21:55Speaker 5: turn now.
- 1:21:57Speaker 3: Alright, cool. So, the one I've got, I've seen this
- 1:22:00Speaker 3: question across social media like crazy in the last decade
- 1:22:05Speaker 3: day okay so I'm just putting it all together and
- 1:22:08Speaker 3: making this a cumulative question little cumulative why which is
- 1:22:12Speaker 3: why did Marvin Winans have a political event at his
- 1:22:16Speaker 3: church this past Sunday I heard about this I did
- 1:22:22Speaker 3: hear about this yes so right a Sunday worship at
- 1:22:28Speaker 3: Bishop Marvin Winans perfecting church in Detroit became a political
- 1:22:32Speaker 3: controversy after Democrat Democratic Congresswoman Haley Stevenson appeared alongside Republican
- 1:22:38Speaker 3: Senate candidate Mike Rogers. Keep in mind, so far it
- 1:22:42Speaker 3: sounds balanced, right? Oh, you got a Democrat, you got
- 1:22:45Speaker 3: a Republican. But the Democrat, she got beat in the
- 1:22:49Speaker 3: primaries by El-Said. So when she got beat by him,
- 1:22:54Speaker 3: instead of saying, sticking on the team, she said, I'm
- 1:22:58Speaker 3: going to go on and go over here and I'm
- 1:23:00Speaker 3: going to endorse the enemy. Girl, just say they got
- 1:23:04Speaker 3: something on you. Exactly. So now she has endorsed Mike Rogers,
- 1:23:08Speaker 3: who is the Republican candidate on the other side. And
- 1:23:12Speaker 3: she's sitting there right there. And then Winans acknowledged Rogers
- 1:23:15Speaker 3: from the pulpit. And after the service, Stevens publicly endorsed
- 1:23:19Speaker 3: him over the Democrat, Abdul Al-Said, just two days before
- 1:23:24Speaker 3: the election day. Um, they're not saying that Winans necessarily
- 1:23:29Speaker 3: arranged the endorsement, but the fact that he acknowledged them
- 1:23:33Speaker 3: and everything, and then made a joke about the fact that, um,
- 1:23:36Speaker 3: Abdul was not there. So this, this is my thing.
- 1:23:42Speaker 3: I understand as a church, when you have dignitaries of
- 1:23:47Speaker 3: any magnitude, be it a mayor or whatever like that,
- 1:23:50Speaker 3: typically you'll tip a hat and say they're there. That's that.
- 1:23:52Speaker 3: And leave it at that.
- 1:23:54Speaker 9: Okay.
- 1:23:54Speaker 3: Um, And I have two thoughts on this. I will
- 1:24:01Speaker 3: say first, I don't like the idea of it being
- 1:24:04Speaker 3: in church typically overall because, you know, the whole separation
- 1:24:08Speaker 3: of church and state. It's like, however, I understand that,
- 1:24:13Speaker 3: especially with the black church, a lot of times the
- 1:24:15Speaker 3: black church has been more than just a church. It's
- 1:24:17Speaker 3: been a community gathering space for people for information and everything.
- 1:24:23Speaker 3: With that said, if You specifically, Marvin Winans, feel that
- 1:24:30Speaker 3: Mike Rogers, who, based on his record, has aligned with
- 1:24:34Speaker 3: Trump quite a bit all the way through and has
- 1:24:36Speaker 3: been very clear that he wants to mirror a lot
- 1:24:39Speaker 3: of that, the Trumpian ways. If you feel, Marvin Winans,
- 1:24:43Speaker 3: that this man is a good representation, then you've done
- 1:24:48Speaker 3: the right thing. However, if you didn't, I feel like
- 1:24:50Speaker 3: as a man who has been in a leadership role,
- 1:24:54Speaker 3: been out front and everything else like that, you blew
- 1:24:57Speaker 3: an opportunity to be able to speak and actually say
- 1:25:01Speaker 3: something that would have made headlines. That was your opportunity
- 1:25:06Speaker 3: to say, and I see you over there, brother. What
- 1:25:08Speaker 3: I would like to say is, I hope that moving forward,
- 1:25:12Speaker 3: when it comes to our community and those others, and
- 1:25:16Speaker 3: that's when you take a moment and have a sermon
- 1:25:19Speaker 3: and actually preach to a person's heart, And preach to
- 1:25:23Speaker 3: the true Christianity that you're representing. Yes, but you'd be too.
- 1:25:25Speaker 3: As opposed to doing that. What you'd be. I felt
- 1:25:29Speaker 3: like it was a missed, and I just, to me,
- 1:25:32Speaker 3: I felt like it was truly a missed opportunity. Don't
- 1:25:35Speaker 3: bring this fool in here. You're talking about from Mr.
- 1:25:38Speaker 7: Wayne.
- 1:25:39Speaker 3: I'm sorry, Pastor Wynette? Yeah, I felt like he should
- 1:25:43Speaker 3: have taken the opportunity. Lock the doors. Now, wait a minute.
- 1:25:49Speaker 3: He wasn't the one who said it, but I believe
- 1:25:51Speaker 3: it was his church. Correct. Marvin Sapp was the one
- 1:25:57Speaker 3: who said it. Are you sure? Lock the doors. I'm
- 1:26:00Speaker 3: just making sure.
- 1:26:03Speaker 5: I'm trying to remember because a few weeks or a
- 1:26:07Speaker 5: couple months back or whatever, Lyric and I Had talked
- 1:26:10Speaker 5: about something with his church. And then Tyler Perry sent money.
- 1:26:15Speaker 7: Yep.
- 1:26:16Speaker 3: So that's what you did with Tyler. Okay. Sure. Okay. Sure.
- 1:26:21Speaker 6: Why?
- 1:26:24Speaker 3: Because the truth is maybe out there. I don't know. Okay.
- 1:26:31Speaker 3: Not you speechless. I don't know what to say. Because
- 1:26:34Speaker 3: this is.
- 1:26:35Speaker 6: But.
- 1:26:37Speaker 5: I try not to shit on people's religion. But this
- 1:26:40Speaker 5: is what y'all keep doing. This is what y'all keep
- 1:26:42Speaker 5: sending 10% of your earnings to influence.
- 1:26:46Speaker 3: This, this, this. I just felt like it was a
- 1:26:50Speaker 3: missed opportunity. Yes, but again, you've been talking about some...
- 1:26:54Speaker 3: I just, I don't have the best opinion of... So,
- 1:26:57Speaker 3: moving on. Huh.
- 1:27:01Speaker 7: Why?
- 1:27:02Speaker 3: Because the truth is out there.
- 1:27:04Speaker 6: No, no, no.
- 1:27:05Speaker 3: I was leading you to the next why.
- 1:27:06Speaker 6: Mm-hmm.
- 1:27:09Speaker 3: This one comes from.
- 1:27:11Speaker 5: I hope I'm pronouncing your name correctly. Naseel from Georgia.
- 1:27:17Speaker 5: It's a letter, but the subject was... Why is it
- 1:27:20Speaker 5: that guys tend to talk a lot about themselves... But
- 1:27:24Speaker 5: never ask any questions back? Naseel says... To make my
- 1:27:29Speaker 5: question more specific... I've been talking to this guy.
- 1:27:32Speaker 3: For around three months now... And what bothers me a lot...
- 1:27:35Speaker 3: Is that in our conversations....
- 1:27:39Speaker 5: He never asks me any questions about myself. Basically never
- 1:27:43Speaker 5: seems interested, even though I always ask him questions. I
- 1:27:46Speaker 5: like hearing about him, but he doesn't seem to be
- 1:27:49Speaker 5: sharing the same interests that I do. Don't get me wrong.
- 1:27:52Speaker 5: We have a nice bond. I know it sounds dry AFRN.
- 1:27:56Speaker 3: I'm just going to.
- 1:27:57Speaker 5: Say it, but it really confuses me because even though
- 1:28:01Speaker 5: he seems interested in me, he never asks me questions
- 1:28:05Speaker 5: and most of our conversations.
- 1:28:06Speaker 3: Are about him.
- 1:28:07Speaker 5: At first, I didn't mind it that much because this
- 1:28:10Speaker 5: was the only issue. But what's bothering me the most
- 1:28:13Speaker 5: right now is that I would be talking about something,
- 1:28:16Speaker 5: explaining stuff to him, and he completely ignores all of
- 1:28:19Speaker 5: those messages and starts talking about something completely irrelevant. To me,
- 1:28:25Speaker 5: that was the last straw, I guess. Now I actually
- 1:28:27Speaker 5: feel bothered, but I don't know how to bring it up.
- 1:28:30Speaker 5: I have many mixed feelings and I don't know what
- 1:28:32Speaker 5: to do. So why do you think he does this?
- 1:28:35Speaker 5: And what would you do in my situation? And this
- 1:28:38Speaker 5: again is from Nacio.
- 1:28:40Speaker 3: In Georgia. You want to go ahead or? I want
- 1:28:44Speaker 3: you to go first. I feel like I've been.
- 1:28:46Speaker 5: So you and I kind of both lit up at
- 1:28:49Speaker 5: that whole thing. So have you asked them about whether
- 1:28:52Speaker 5: or not he may be nervous to verge a little bit?
- 1:28:56Speaker 5: Because that's a very possible. That's a possibility. Of where
- 1:29:00Speaker 5: you switch subjects, you'll be telling somebody, they kind of
- 1:29:03Speaker 5: zone off. But that's one thing.
- 1:29:06Speaker 3: But that doesn't excuse anything else. Because in your letter,
- 1:29:10Speaker 3: you wrote that he's dry AF. You say that you
- 1:29:13Speaker 3: have a nice bond. What did you bond over, sweetie?
- 1:29:15Speaker 3: Do you have a nice bond? Because you don't really
- 1:29:18Speaker 3: know much about this man. You have... Like, at this point,
- 1:29:23Speaker 3: get a cat.
- 1:29:23Speaker 6: Because.
- 1:29:25Speaker 5: You've told that cat everything about you, and that cat
- 1:29:28Speaker 5: has meowed a few times, and that's about it. You
- 1:29:32Speaker 5: know nothing else about the cat other than what you see.
- 1:29:35Speaker 5: You open up the window, that cat has a whole day,
- 1:29:37Speaker 5: comes back, meows at you again, and you don't hear
- 1:29:40Speaker 5: from it again until it's hungry.
- 1:29:41Speaker 3: I kind of feel like this is... They still know
- 1:29:44Speaker 3: the same amount. There you go. So, I feel like
- 1:29:48Speaker 3: you're kind of in this situation, and to be honest...
- 1:29:54Speaker 3: I would have that conversation.
- 1:29:55Speaker 5: Like, if it were me or... That's not the segment.
- 1:29:59Speaker 5: Why do we think he does this? It was your question.
- 1:30:03Speaker 3: Well, maybe he is uninterested. Maybe it's a thing of
- 1:30:07Speaker 3: where he's lonely. A lot of y'all lonely. Y'all think
- 1:30:09Speaker 3: y'all want relationships.
- 1:30:10Speaker 5: You're lonely. What would you do in my situation? If
- 1:30:20Speaker 5: I'm not being fulfilled, I'm not staying still. I'm not
- 1:30:24Speaker 5: going to.
- 1:30:25Speaker 3: Exit the situation. I'm not going to be mean about it.
- 1:30:28Speaker 5: But, hey, this isn't working. Or, hey, you know, I'm
- 1:30:30Speaker 5: going to give him the opportunity, of course, to maybe, like,
- 1:30:35Speaker 5: if you're fed up.
- 1:30:37Speaker 6: Roll.
- 1:30:38Speaker 3: When a woman's fed up. No. Ooh, no. Your thoughts? Yeah,
- 1:30:42Speaker 3: I agree. I agree wholeheartedly. I think that, yeah.
- 1:30:48Speaker 5: You say around three months. What's his middle name? Name
- 1:30:53Speaker 5: three of his friends. What's his favorite color? On a
- 1:30:58Speaker 5: Tuesday night, what do you think he's going to eat?
- 1:31:01Speaker 3: Where's he from? Does he have any siblings? Does he
- 1:31:05Speaker 3: have a hobby? What kind of car? Well, you probably
- 1:31:09Speaker 3: know that. Maybe. I agree with you. I just think
- 1:31:17Speaker 3: that for a situation like that, where she... It's almost
- 1:31:22Speaker 3: like she... is wanting something out of this. And I
- 1:31:25Speaker 3: don't think that that's necessarily going to be possible. And
- 1:31:28Speaker 3: she brings it up to him and says, look, I
- 1:31:32Speaker 3: need to, I need you to know these things about me.
- 1:31:37Speaker 5: Well, he already know everything about her. Cause she didn't
- 1:31:39Speaker 5: sit there and told him she didn't sang her own life.
- 1:31:42Speaker 3: Well, no, he has, he's been talking. He doesn't, he
- 1:31:45Speaker 3: doesn't ask her. You're right.
- 1:31:47Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:31:47Speaker 3: So if, if he's not asking her, it's like, This
- 1:31:51Speaker 3: isn't going... And that's the other thing. Whatever y'all bonded
- 1:31:54Speaker 3: over sex, apparently that may be enough to keep you
- 1:31:57Speaker 3: going for now. Apparently. You know what I mean? But
- 1:32:00Speaker 3: if you're looking for something serious... Lonely. Just look and say,
- 1:32:04Speaker 3: you know.
- 1:32:05Speaker 5: I'm lonely.
- 1:32:05Speaker 3: Is this person... They're not. Someone who embodies what it
- 1:32:10Speaker 3: is that I'm looking for in a relationship. And if
- 1:32:12Speaker 3: it's not, move on. Because even a warm body will
- 1:32:16Speaker 3: feel good for a moment. But after a while, that
- 1:32:17Speaker 3: shit gets cold. And you need to move on. shit
- 1:32:20Speaker 3: i'm like okay well you know that does kind of
- 1:32:22Speaker 3: suck though because it is you.
- 1:32:24Speaker 5: Know maybe you want to you know what i'm saying
- 1:32:27Speaker 5: maybe you want to hey what do you what do
- 1:32:29Speaker 5: you know about me yeah start asking them.
- 1:32:32Speaker 3: Questions and then and if he and and the neurodivergent
- 1:32:37Speaker 3: if that's what it is then they will pick up
- 1:32:40Speaker 3: on that hopefully and start asking if he does not
- 1:32:44Speaker 3: then he just a nigga he doesn't care he don't
- 1:32:47Speaker 3: want to know shit about you he's not interested I've
- 1:32:50Speaker 3: been there done that trust me when when you have
- 1:32:54Speaker 3: a conversation with somebody and you start talking and stuff
- 1:32:57Speaker 3: and you're like you open up and then they're like
- 1:32:59Speaker 3: yeah so let me tell you about my day oh
- 1:33:01Speaker 3: okay yeah you'll never get that from me again ever
- 1:33:04Speaker 3: you will never get that kind of conversation from me
- 1:33:06Speaker 3: ever again.
- 1:33:09Speaker 9: All right.
- 1:33:09Speaker 5: Well, I guess that wraps it up for this week's
- 1:33:14Speaker 5: Wow Files. Always answering wow for you on the socials.
- 1:33:18Speaker 5: News making nauseous up next.
- 1:33:19Speaker 3: Let's get gross.
- 1:33:23Speaker 9: I was recently asked if I always want to be
- 1:33:27Speaker 9: the governor of Georgia. And the answer is no. But
- 1:33:30Speaker 9: I vividly recall those rare days.
- 1:33:33Speaker 6: When my grandmother.
- 1:33:34Speaker 9: didn't ride the bus home from her job at Davidson's
- 1:33:37Speaker 9: department store in Lenox Square Mall, and the excitement I
- 1:33:41Speaker 9: had when my mother would pick her up from work.
- 1:33:44Speaker 9: We'd leave our home on the west side of Atlanta
- 1:33:47Speaker 9: early so that we could take the long street way
- 1:33:51Speaker 9: in the Buckhead.
- 1:33:52Speaker 3: And the most exciting part of.
- 1:33:55Speaker 9: That drive for me was passing the governor's mansion. I
- 1:34:00Speaker 9: remember looking at it as we drove by and saying,
- 1:34:03Speaker 9: I want to go in there one day.
- 1:34:20Speaker 17: What my six year old self. What my six-year-old self.
- 1:34:39Speaker 9: Didn't know was that God was placing a calling in
- 1:34:43Speaker 9: my heart that would take decades to fulfill. And if
- 1:34:49Speaker 9: my wish at six years old had come true, I
- 1:34:53Speaker 9: would have walked through those doors alone.
- 1:34:55Speaker 17: But 50 years.
- 1:34:57Speaker 9: Later, I will not just walk into the governor's mansion,
- 1:35:03Speaker 9: but the state capitol as well, bringing with me the
- 1:35:08Speaker 9: hopes and dreams of little boys and girls all across Georgia.
- 1:35:20Speaker 9: who are counting on their governor to make decisions about
- 1:35:23Speaker 9: their future that will make all things possible. Georgia, they
- 1:35:29Speaker 9: may have the money, but they will never overtake our movement.
- 1:35:38Speaker 4: Say what? News to make you nauseous on WRTR Real
- 1:35:44Speaker 4: Talk Radio. Let's go.
- 1:35:46Speaker 5: These are some of the stories you might not read
- 1:35:48Speaker 5: about in the New York Times, the Washington Post, or
- 1:35:50Speaker 5: the Wall Street Journal.
- 1:35:52Speaker 3: It's news to make you nauseous. I shall start off.
- 1:35:55Speaker 3: Say what?
- 1:35:56Speaker 5: United States of America.
- 1:35:59Speaker 4: Say what?
- 1:36:00Speaker 5: A violent Halloween weekend in U.S. with more than a
- 1:36:03Speaker 5: dozen killed people. Over 90 injured in shootings. And this
- 1:36:08Speaker 5: is cumulative shootings. According to CNN.com. Yeah, because y'all were
- 1:36:14Speaker 5: busy this Halloween weekend. Kids out there trying to get candy.
- 1:36:17Speaker 5: And y'all had mass shooting. More than a dozen people
- 1:36:21Speaker 5: were killed. And over 90 others injured over a Halloween weekend.
- 1:36:25Speaker 5: Marred by gun violence. With multiple shootings across the country.
- 1:36:29Speaker 5: Upending celebrations. One mass shooting in California occurred. as people
- 1:36:34Speaker 5: went to get last-minute costumes at Spirit Halloween, leaving a
- 1:36:38Speaker 5: pregnant woman dead and sending people scrambling for cover. Another
- 1:36:42Speaker 5: happened after the annual Magic City Classic football game in
- 1:36:47Speaker 5: Alabama between rivals Alabama State and Alabama A & M University. Delaware,
- 1:36:54Speaker 5: a state with just over 1 million people, had two
- 1:36:56Speaker 5: mass shootings on Halloween night, including near its largest university. So,
- 1:37:03Speaker 5: I mean, what's happening out here? The latest violence occurred
- 1:37:07Speaker 5: around typically American fall events, Halloween, football, college parties, and
- 1:37:12Speaker 5: comes out just two weeks after the mass shooting at
- 1:37:14Speaker 5: Oregon Elementary School, where they killed three students and a
- 1:37:18Speaker 5: teacher inside of a special needs classroom. Like, what's going
- 1:37:22Speaker 5: on with these mass shootings, people? And let's just look
- 1:37:27Speaker 5: at who the mass shooters.
- 1:37:29Speaker 3: Are, people.
- 1:37:30Speaker 6: Hmm.
- 1:37:31Speaker 3: We keep pointing towards the same problem. Let's address it.
- 1:37:34Speaker 6: All right.
- 1:37:35Speaker 3: Say what, Minnesota?
- 1:37:36Speaker 4: Say what?
- 1:37:37Speaker 3: This one here is going to be a fun one. Oh,
- 1:37:40Speaker 3: I love fun. Therabolt Burger King is at center of
- 1:37:44Speaker 3: blackface viral video. That bitch. So, for y'all who do
- 1:37:49Speaker 3: not know, a Minnesota... A Minnesota Burger King is at
- 1:37:54Speaker 3: the center of a now viral video in which a
- 1:37:56Speaker 3: white drive-thru employee is seen trying to explain why they
- 1:38:00Speaker 3: have black makeup covering their face. Complete black face. Complete.
- 1:38:04Speaker 3: Like shoe polish black. Again. The incident appears to have
- 1:38:07Speaker 3: occurred over Halloween weekend at a Burger King restaurant in Fairbalt.
- 1:38:11Speaker 3: In a video that has been widely reshared across numerous platforms,
- 1:38:14Speaker 3: a customer films the encounter from a vehicle. The person
- 1:38:17Speaker 3: filming asked the employee to recount their response when asked
- 1:38:19Speaker 3: if the face paint was okay. Twitch to the employee replied,
- 1:38:23Speaker 3: as long as you have a good heart.
- 1:38:26Speaker 6: What?
- 1:38:28Speaker 3: And so your intention is good because responded and so
- 1:38:31Speaker 3: that means you what black lives matter well no i
- 1:38:35Speaker 3: just wanted to be black well i mean the employee
- 1:38:38Speaker 3: said before the customer jumps back in why would you
- 1:38:40Speaker 3: want to be black do you know the struggle that
- 1:38:42Speaker 3: we go through as black people so.
- 1:38:45Speaker 5: Okay, first off, if you wanted to be black, there
- 1:38:48Speaker 5: are so many different ways you could celebrate black excellence
- 1:38:50Speaker 5: that you do not have to put on blackface. Why
- 1:38:52Speaker 5: do we have to remind y'all every October 31st, we
- 1:38:57Speaker 5: gotta remind you cave monkeys that.
- 1:39:01Speaker 3: Not to do this type of shit. What the fuck
- 1:39:03Speaker 3: is happening? Cave monkeys might get us mad. Go ahead.
- 1:39:10Speaker 3: It just might. I don't know. You probably just put
- 1:39:13Speaker 3: a two over it. Oh, fuck it. Okay, so that
- 1:39:18Speaker 3: was your first of all. My first of all was,
- 1:39:21Speaker 3: who was the manager who let her go to the
- 1:39:23Speaker 3: drive-thru like that? Because I saw her. Her uncle daddy. Oh,
- 1:39:28Speaker 3: you know what? Yeah. Where was this again? It was
- 1:39:32Speaker 3: in Minnesota. Fairbalk, Minnesota. Fairbalk, Minnesota. Okay, St. Olaf.
- 1:39:38Speaker 12: Yeah.
- 1:39:39Speaker 3: Right, right. Ha, ha, ha, ha. It just seems like
- 1:39:43Speaker 3: somebody should lose their job for this. And not just her.
- 1:39:48Speaker 5: I was going to say she lost her job, but
- 1:39:50Speaker 5: the manager on duty, whoever allowed this, should have definitely
- 1:39:55Speaker 5: checked that. But, again, I wonder if certain people have
- 1:40:00Speaker 5: cultural awareness.
- 1:40:01Speaker 3: And if I was an employee at that Burger King,
- 1:40:03Speaker 3: I would be suing. Oh, I would have looked. Listen,
- 1:40:07Speaker 3: it couldn't have been me.
- 1:40:08Speaker 5: I would have snatched her through that goddamn wall.
- 1:40:12Speaker 3: Understand that mental trauma is also a work comp injury.
- 1:40:17Speaker 3: Understand that if you go to sleep and you have
- 1:40:20Speaker 3: night terrors because this woman represented the KKK to y'all
- 1:40:25Speaker 3: at night, then you can file a claim and get paid. Three, two, one. One, two, three.
- 1:40:31Speaker 3: What the heck is wrong with me? I'm just saying.
- 1:40:36Speaker 3: All right. Say what? Say what?
- 1:40:42Speaker 5: A Tennessee substitute teacher has been barred after she put
- 1:40:47Speaker 5: a student in a closet over speaking Spanish. Did you
- 1:40:52Speaker 5: hear about this?
- 1:40:54Speaker 3: No, in a closet?
- 1:40:55Speaker 5: She put the student and the desk in the closet
- 1:41:01Speaker 5: because the student was speaking Spanish. This is according to
- 1:41:05Speaker 5: International Business Times. Whitworth Buchanan Middle School officials confirmed the
- 1:41:10Speaker 5: incident but disputed claims that the student was punished for
- 1:41:14Speaker 5: speaking Spanish. A substitute teacher at a Tennessee middle school
- 1:41:17Speaker 5: has been barred from working in the district after reportedly
- 1:41:21Speaker 5: placing a student and their desk inside of a classroom closet,
- 1:41:25Speaker 5: triggering widespread criticism on social media. The incident at Whitworth
- 1:41:29Speaker 5: Buchanan Middle School gained attention. after a post on X
- 1:41:34Speaker 5: claimed the student had been put in the closet for
- 1:41:36Speaker 5: speaking Spanish to a classmate. The post also alleged that
- 1:41:40Speaker 5: the teacher had grabbed the child by the arm, leaving
- 1:41:44Speaker 5: the student frightened and crying. However, school officials have disputed
- 1:41:48Speaker 5: the alleged motive, saying the substitute teacher reported placing the
- 1:41:52Speaker 5: student in the closet because of a behavioral issue. The
- 1:41:55Speaker 5: district confirmed that the incident happened, but said the disciplinary
- 1:41:59Speaker 5: action was unacceptable. Do with that what you will.
- 1:42:03Speaker 3: So who bailed the parents out?
- 1:42:06Speaker 5: I'm assuming if this was a student speaking Spanish and
- 1:42:10Speaker 5: in Tennessee, they're probably not trying to turn up too much,
- 1:42:13Speaker 5: even though they probably want to. I mean, a lot
- 1:42:16Speaker 5: of us say, I mean, I just said it about
- 1:42:18Speaker 5: couldn't have been me and stuff. We say that, but
- 1:42:21Speaker 5: we have to realize that other people's circumstances are.
- 1:42:23Speaker 3: A lot different. That is so messed up.
- 1:42:26Speaker 6: It is. It is.
- 1:42:27Speaker 5: And just, and you know, it's Tennessee and The schools there,
- 1:42:33Speaker 5: they already... Like, students have already reported how they're told
- 1:42:37Speaker 5: that they can't speak Spanish during school hours and shit
- 1:42:41Speaker 5: like that.
- 1:42:41Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 1:42:42Speaker 3: It's encouraged not to speak Spanish.
- 1:42:45Speaker 7: Wow.
- 1:42:47Speaker 3: So... Okay. Another red state. We done? I got one more.
- 1:42:53Speaker 6: Go for it.
- 1:42:53Speaker 3: I got one more. This is good and gross, and
- 1:42:56Speaker 3: it kind of goes with our theme of these red crazies.
- 1:43:00Speaker 2: So.
- 1:43:01Speaker 3: Just say what Pete Hex has.
- 1:43:03Speaker 4: Say what?
- 1:43:04Speaker 3: Fox News hosts reflected on their former colleague-turned-Secretary of Defense, yes,
- 1:43:08Speaker 3: Pete Hex on Wednesday by bringing up a stomach-churning story
- 1:43:12Speaker 3: of when he ate food off the floor. I did
- 1:43:16Speaker 3: not hear this. Thankfully. Okay, great. Okay, perfect. So, they
- 1:43:22Speaker 3: were having a conversation about the five-second rule and everything. Oh, no.
- 1:43:25Speaker 3: Host Ainsley Earhart swiftly jumped in, recalling... that Hexeth once
- 1:43:29Speaker 3: dropped a bagel with cream cheese on the floor. He
- 1:43:33Speaker 3: would drop it, it would lay it upside down, the
- 1:43:35Speaker 3: cream cheese on the floor, and he would pick it up,
- 1:43:37Speaker 3: Earhart recalled. I'm like, wait, is there any hair on there?
- 1:43:41Speaker 3: It was so gross and he would just pop it
- 1:43:42Speaker 3: in his mouth. Concha then referred to Hexeth's 2019 on-air
- 1:43:48Speaker 3: claim that he hadn't washed his hands for a decade.
- 1:43:50Speaker 3: I remember that too.
- 1:43:50Speaker 9: Really?
- 1:43:51Speaker 3: Really? i don't really wash my hands ever he said
- 1:43:53Speaker 3: on fox and friends at the time i inoculate myself
- 1:43:57Speaker 3: it's just that it's just not germs are not a
- 1:43:59Speaker 3: real thing i can't see them therefore they're not real
- 1:44:02Speaker 3: what y'all these are the people running things they running
- 1:44:05Speaker 3: things they running things y'all.
- 1:44:08Speaker 5: I'm more i'm more unnerved that the cream cheese.
- 1:44:11Speaker 3: Down ew do you understand all that that's like I'm
- 1:44:17Speaker 3: unnerved that the guy that is literally in charge of
- 1:44:21Speaker 3: this meaningless war that is currently going on is talking
- 1:44:26Speaker 3: about the five-second rule. That's why I'm nauseous. Why? Well,
- 1:44:32Speaker 3: it was a scientist that was on there talking about it.
- 1:44:35Speaker 3: And then they referenced a time when... Because apparently he
- 1:44:39Speaker 3: would eat off the floor all the time. And we're
- 1:44:40Speaker 3: not talking about his own floor anymore. And like I said,
- 1:44:44Speaker 3: cream cheese down. I'm still not surprised. You understand everything
- 1:44:48Speaker 3: that cream cheese picked up? I do. And he popped
- 1:44:51Speaker 3: it right in his mouth. From the people that brought
- 1:44:56Speaker 3: you raw chicken recipes. Don't you watch them? On YouTube
- 1:45:00Speaker 3: and TikTok and stuff. Them awful cooking videos. I heard
- 1:45:02Speaker 3: about that stuff now. It's awful. It's awful. It makes you.
- 1:45:09Speaker 5: It actually kind of confirms why some people act like
- 1:45:11Speaker 5: how they act.
- 1:45:13Speaker 3: I can see why.
- 1:45:14Speaker 19: Yeah.
- 1:45:14Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:45:16Speaker 5: If you want these more nauseating news stories, make sure
- 1:45:18Speaker 5: you follow us over on the socials at WRTR Radio.
- 1:45:21Speaker 5: We're over on Blue Sky. I'm over there also at
- 1:45:24Speaker 5: M-A-R-C-U-S-S-M-O-O-T and Marcus.Smoot on TikTok.
- 1:45:30Speaker 3: I'm L-Train and you can catch me everywhere at EL
- 1:45:33Speaker 3: Space Train. That's Instagram, X, and Facebook. Don't forget Lyric Bravado,
- 1:45:38Speaker 3: who's always everywhere. You are Lyric Bravado. That's on Facebook, TikTok, Instagram, threads.
- 1:45:45Speaker 3: You know, she the girl. She over there. All right.
- 1:45:48Speaker 3: Up next, real talk. Is it your week or mine?
- 1:45:51Speaker 3: It's mine?
- 1:45:51Speaker 6: Great.
- 1:45:53Speaker 5: So we're talking about what do you want to see
- 1:45:55Speaker 5: happen if the Dems get the House or the Senate
- 1:45:58Speaker 5: as a result of the midterms.
- 1:45:59Speaker 3: Up next.
- 1:46:00Speaker 19: Every time I come to the doctor, y'all be messing
- 1:46:02Speaker 19: me up.
- 1:46:04Speaker 17: Story time.
- 1:46:05Speaker 19: So sometime I go. I used to work at an
- 1:46:08Speaker 19: urgent care. I go out to the waiting room and
- 1:46:11Speaker 19: I bring the next gentleman back. I ask him the
- 1:46:13Speaker 19: appropriate routine questions, get his first and last name, date
- 1:46:16Speaker 19: of birth, confirm that he's the right person. And then
- 1:46:18Speaker 19: I'm like, what's going on? What brought you in today?
- 1:46:20Speaker 19: He says he's been dealing with a raging headache, right?
- 1:46:24Speaker 19: For several hours. I take notes and I start getting
- 1:46:27Speaker 19: his vital signs. Checked his blood pressure.
- 1:46:30Speaker 3: Two something.
- 1:46:31Speaker 19: 200 and something. Let's say it was 211.
- 1:46:35Speaker 6: Please believe.
- 1:46:36Speaker 3: Please understand.
- 1:46:37Speaker 19: It was above 200. The top number, over 200. The
- 1:46:41Speaker 19: bottom number, over 100. I said, let's try the other arm, sir.
- 1:46:46Speaker 19: Just as bad, if not worse. So I said, sir,
- 1:46:50Speaker 19: are you taking blood pressure medication? Have you been diagnosed
- 1:46:52Speaker 19: with high blood pressure, hypertension? He said, yeah, they tried
- 1:46:55Speaker 19: to tell me I had that shit. And the minute
- 1:46:58Speaker 19: I start taking the meds, My blood pressure gets better.
- 1:47:02Speaker 3: I don't need that.
- 1:47:03Speaker 12: Oh.
- 1:47:05Speaker 19: Sir, the reason why your blood pressure is getting better
- 1:47:09Speaker 19: is because you were taking the meds.
- 1:47:12Speaker 3: He cuts me off.
- 1:47:14Speaker 19: I don't need to hear all of that. I was
- 1:47:15Speaker 19: fine before I came to the doctor. Every time I
- 1:47:18Speaker 19: come to the doctor, y'all be messing me up. I
- 1:47:20Speaker 19: was fine. I was good before them pills. It's the
- 1:47:23Speaker 19: pills that got me in this situation. I'm not about
- 1:47:28Speaker 19: to argue with this man. I put him in the
- 1:47:30Speaker 19: room and I interrupt the doctor to let her know
- 1:47:34Speaker 19: that the blood pressure is outrageous. She said, oh no,
- 1:47:37Speaker 19: we're going to need to send him to the hospital
- 1:47:38Speaker 19: for a hypertensive emergency. We can't give him anything here
- 1:47:41Speaker 19: to bring that down. She excuses herself. She goes into
- 1:47:45Speaker 19: the patient's room. I follow her because I have to
- 1:47:48Speaker 19: get a report printed and give it to the EMT
- 1:47:52Speaker 19: when they get there. If he allows us to call 9-1-1.
- 1:47:55Speaker 19: He didn't want the ambulance. He said, I drive myself,
- 1:47:57Speaker 19: but I'm going to go to the hospital. They're going
- 1:47:59Speaker 19: to do the same thing. They're going to give me
- 1:48:00Speaker 19: the pills and my blood pressure is going to come
- 1:48:01Speaker 19: right down.
- 1:48:05Speaker 1: Yes!
- 1:48:06Speaker 19: So the doctor was like, well, that's actually precisely what
- 1:48:10Speaker 19: we'd like to have happen. He's going to say, so
- 1:48:13Speaker 19: you mean to tell me that it's the pills that's
- 1:48:15Speaker 19: bringing my blood pressure down?
- 1:48:17Speaker 17: Oh, my God.
- 1:48:19Speaker 3: The doctor.
- 1:48:21Speaker 19: That's exactly what I'm saying.
- 1:48:22Speaker 3: Yes, sir.
- 1:48:23Speaker 19: In fact, it's because you stopped your medication that your
- 1:48:26Speaker 19: blood pressure went back up. That's what's keeping it down.
- 1:48:29Speaker 19: You want to know what the patient said? He goes, oh,
- 1:48:32Speaker 19: no one ever explained that to me.
- 1:48:34Speaker 9: Wow.
- 1:48:35Speaker 3: Let me explain something to y'all.
- 1:48:37Speaker 19: I got 2,500 downloads on my podcast after only starting
- 1:48:40Speaker 19: it two weeks ago. Thank you guys so much for

- 1:48:44Speaker 19: Go ahead and check out the free one available on
- 1:48:46Speaker 19: all public podcast platforms. And if you want something a
- 1:48:48Speaker 19: little sexy and spicy, go to my Patreon.
- 1:48:54Speaker 4: Keep it in. 1-100. It's Real Talk. On WRTR, Real
- 1:49:01Speaker 4: Talk Radio. We keep it real.
- 1:49:04Speaker 3: All right. We back inside of Real Talk.
- 1:49:07Speaker 5: So, this week, since it's my week, I'm asking, what
- 1:49:11Speaker 5: do you want to see happen if the Dems get
- 1:49:14Speaker 5: the House and or the Senate as.
- 1:49:16Speaker 3: A result of the midterms? And I'll let you go first.
- 1:49:22Speaker 3: Or do you want me?
- 1:49:23Speaker 6: No, no.
- 1:49:23Speaker 3: I want to see accountability. Ah, that's the first thing. Yeah,
- 1:49:27Speaker 3: I want to see accountability. I do not want to
- 1:49:30Speaker 3: see an impeachment. It's a waste of time. Um. He's
- 1:49:34Speaker 3: already been impeached twice. It's not going to do anything.
- 1:49:37Speaker 3: And it's, I feel like it's, it's going to, to,
- 1:49:42Speaker 3: it's going to slow everything else down because that's going
- 1:49:45Speaker 3: to be the focus and it's not going to get
- 1:49:46Speaker 3: anything done. But accountability, I feel like impeaching some of
- 1:49:50Speaker 3: these cabinet members is going to be the route. Now
- 1:49:54Speaker 3: he can't be harmed because of that whole clause.
- 1:49:58Speaker 1: Exactly.
- 1:49:58Speaker 3: So why are we even going, why go after him?
- 1:50:00Speaker 6: Right.
- 1:50:01Speaker 5: So, and did you see how Kamala was getting backlash
- 1:50:05Speaker 5: because she said that same kind of thing?
- 1:50:07Speaker 3: I didn't know that she got backlash. She did. Like,
- 1:50:09Speaker 3: of course, people were like, well, I mean, we're putting
- 1:50:12Speaker 3: you in the power. And if we put you in
- 1:50:14Speaker 3: the power, we want to see this, that, and the third.
- 1:50:17Speaker 3: And it's like, okay, yeah.
- 1:50:18Speaker 5: But let's be strategic about this. You can't come in
- 1:50:22Speaker 5: like a wrecking ball because that shit's not going to work.
- 1:50:25Speaker 5: You have to be diligent with this shit. They've done
- 1:50:28Speaker 5: so much, and it's all out loud, but it's so much.
- 1:50:32Speaker 3: Those are the same people who go out to public
- 1:50:35Speaker 3: places and make scenes and don't understand why they ain't
- 1:50:38Speaker 3: invited back. You're right. You have to be strategic. And
- 1:50:43Speaker 3: going in there and wasting your time doing something that's not... Okay,
- 1:50:46Speaker 3: so cool. Ooh, he was impeached three times. Ooh, he's
- 1:50:49Speaker 3: the only president who's been impeached more than once. And
- 1:50:53Speaker 3: he's still in office.
- 1:50:54Speaker 5: You know, he's already talking about pardoning Musk. He's floating
- 1:50:59Speaker 5: the idea of one of those, I guess, blanket pardons
- 1:51:02Speaker 5: or whatever the technical term is. But yeah, one of those, hey,
- 1:51:06Speaker 5: whatever you did, you pardoned for it.
- 1:51:09Speaker 3: Have fun. i don't i don't know how much longer
- 1:51:13Speaker 3: he's got like like he preemptive that's what it is
- 1:51:19Speaker 3: right see that's a crazy thing it depends on whether
- 1:51:22Speaker 3: mother nature gets him before he you know gets to
- 1:51:25Speaker 3: get everything else out of everybody else he grabbed that
- 1:51:27Speaker 3: bar yeah but i want to see accountability i want
- 1:51:30Speaker 3: to see this this cabinet brought down i want and
- 1:51:33Speaker 3: i also really want to see turn limits um revisit
- 1:51:36Speaker 3: it for all of these roles yes i think for
- 1:51:39Speaker 3: the senate for the supreme court this whole lifetime appointment
- 1:51:43Speaker 3: is insanity because people are holding on to power way
- 1:51:47Speaker 3: too long and i think that anywhere from 12 to
- 1:51:51Speaker 3: 20 years is maximum plenty enough time to be able
- 1:51:56Speaker 3: to make your mark and if you haven't done what
- 1:51:57Speaker 3: you need to do in that time you need to
- 1:51:59Speaker 3: get the fuck out and let somebody do what.
- 1:52:00Speaker 5: They can do these super packs have got to go
- 1:52:03Speaker 5: I want to see them gone. I want to see
- 1:52:07Speaker 5: corporate money out of politics. I need it because corporate
- 1:52:12Speaker 5: money should not be influencing politics.
- 1:52:15Speaker 3: It shouldn't be.
- 1:52:16Speaker 5: I get and Dems is going to have a problem
- 1:52:19Speaker 5: with this, too, because a lot of them get super
- 1:52:21Speaker 5: PAC money. But that is a problem. And the way
- 1:52:26Speaker 5: that these places operate with these packs, even at UPS.
- 1:52:29Speaker 3: UPS has a pack. I can talk about it now.
- 1:52:32Speaker 5: When I worked for them, that was another reason that
- 1:52:35Speaker 5: I left that damn company. Because of shit like that
- 1:52:38Speaker 5: with the packs. They had this pack.
- 1:52:40Speaker 3: With United Way. And it was like, you have to.
- 1:52:43Speaker 3: I'm sorry. It was UPS pack. I'm sorry.
- 1:52:46Speaker 5: And then you had to give every single year to
- 1:52:50Speaker 5: the pack. And I was like, well, I don't want
- 1:52:52Speaker 5: to give to the pack. No, you have to. You
- 1:52:55Speaker 5: have to, this, that, and the third. And my bosses
- 1:52:57Speaker 5: would literally bully us into it. Yeah, and it wouldn't
- 1:53:01Speaker 5: be no, here's $ 20. Nah, I'm talking that chunk.
- 1:53:05Speaker 3: And then they would be like, well, they would put
- 1:53:09Speaker 3: it in a way that, well, I would hope that
- 1:53:13Speaker 3: this would be one of the things that we would
- 1:53:15Speaker 3: revisit during your performance review kind of thing.
- 1:53:18Speaker 4: So.
- 1:53:20Speaker 3: It was like, okay, well, if you don't give to
- 1:53:22Speaker 3: this pack, what you mean?
- 1:53:23Speaker 5: I'm not going to get a raise or I'm going
- 1:53:25Speaker 5: to get less of a raise or I'm not going
- 1:53:27Speaker 5: to get my bonus or whatever.
- 1:53:29Speaker 3: Yeah. That is unethical.
- 1:53:30Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:53:31Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 1:53:32Speaker 3: It's my left after goddamn almost 17 years. Damn.
- 1:53:37Speaker 12: Yeah.
- 1:53:38Speaker 5: So I'm very passionate about that shit. But back to
- 1:53:41Speaker 5: the point, which is this corporate money gives them too
- 1:53:45Speaker 5: much power. This why so. So much is unaffordable. People
- 1:53:49Speaker 5: keep talking about how everything is unaffordable. Bitch, y'all have
- 1:53:54Speaker 5: the keys to turn down the prices.
- 1:53:57Speaker 3: You could. You very much so could. I mean, apples are...
- 1:54:04Speaker 3: I would think that apples would be the same price.
- 1:54:06Speaker 5: Is there anything about these apples that are growing now
- 1:54:09Speaker 5: that are different from the apples of yesteryears that were
- 1:54:13Speaker 5: way more affordable? I mean, I get cost of living increases, yada, yada, yada,
- 1:54:19Speaker 5: but even that should be capped. We should have basic
- 1:54:24Speaker 5: things like healthcare.
- 1:54:26Speaker 3: I want to see that. I want to see that
- 1:54:28Speaker 3: for everybody. Now, you want this at the midterms?
- 1:54:34Speaker 5: No, I'm talking about overall, but I went to a tangent. But,
- 1:54:38Speaker 5: I want to see the gas lowered. I do want
- 1:54:40Speaker 5: to see that.
- 1:54:41Speaker 3: Immediately. Immediately.
- 1:54:43Speaker 5: And that happens when this war ends. I want that
- 1:54:46Speaker 5: war to end. I want Congress to take back the
- 1:54:49Speaker 5: keys from Papaw.
- 1:54:53Speaker 3: Why is he allowed to do this? You know what
- 1:54:56Speaker 3: I want? Stairs? I want that final tantrum of his.
- 1:55:01Speaker 3: The one that makes them all say, okay, 25-20 this motherfucker. Like,
- 1:55:11Speaker 3: you know like is it twitter no what is it
- 1:55:13Speaker 3: what's the hold you're talking about where they say no
- 1:55:17Speaker 3: more you are cognitively unable to do this i want
- 1:55:21Speaker 3: him to i want him to destroy just one one
- 1:55:27Speaker 3: one piece of history in dc just just mess up
- 1:55:32Speaker 3: the skyline a little bit no because then that'll affect
- 1:55:35Speaker 3: lives and i don't want no i'm not talking about
- 1:55:37Speaker 3: anything that anybody has to watch i just like Oh, gotcha. Yeah,
- 1:55:43Speaker 3: just a statue or something. Like the Lincoln Memorial. Take
- 1:55:47Speaker 3: it down and go on and say that you're going
- 1:55:49Speaker 3: to put yours up. Piss everybody off. He puts his
- 1:55:52Speaker 3: head on Abe Lincoln's body. You know what I'm saying?
- 1:55:56Speaker 3: Just take it on down and say, we're going to
- 1:55:57Speaker 3: move that somewhere else. I'm going to put me there.
- 1:55:59Speaker 3: I hate it. I want that. I want that because
- 1:56:02Speaker 3: that's the thing that's going to finally push it over.
- 1:56:04Speaker 3: Let's go for it, yeah. Because I want them to
- 1:56:07Speaker 3: do enough to make him lose it. To where, and
- 1:56:11Speaker 3: he's getting, he is getting closer and closer and it,
- 1:56:15Speaker 3: each time. I don't know if anybody, this is a
- 1:56:18Speaker 3: very niche, and I don't even know if it's worth
- 1:56:20Speaker 3: the dive, so I'm not going to dive all the way,
- 1:56:22Speaker 3: but there was a movie a long time ago called
- 1:56:26Speaker 3: Primal Fear with Edward Norton, and it was about this
- 1:56:30Speaker 3: guy who would go in and out of consciousness or whatever,
- 1:56:34Speaker 3: and he was on trial, and he flipped out during
- 1:56:37Speaker 3: the trial. Right, but he really didn't flip out, but
- 1:56:41Speaker 3: he faked like it, and then afterwards, when he talks
- 1:56:43Speaker 3: to his lawyer, he talks about it, And his lawyer's like,
- 1:56:46Speaker 3: wait a minute. When he walks away, he's like, wait
- 1:56:48Speaker 3: a minute. You remembered that? You always said you never
- 1:56:51Speaker 3: remembered when you would flip out. Right, right, right, right.
- 1:56:56Speaker 3: I feel like we keep on... And the attorney, when
- 1:57:00Speaker 3: they were doing the cross-examination, when he flipped out, kept
- 1:57:03Speaker 3: bringing him closer and closer and closer and knew that
- 1:57:05Speaker 3: he was about to totally kirk out. I feel like
- 1:57:08Speaker 3: we keep on getting it right now from him. He's
- 1:57:11Speaker 3: uncalled for. People piggy. He already went off on the
- 1:57:14Speaker 3: guy now. They told him, put yourself in shape.
- 1:57:19Speaker 15: Yeah.
- 1:57:20Speaker 3: He's getting worse. He's getting cantankerous. He's on the edge.
- 1:57:24Speaker 3: I can't wait.
- 1:57:25Speaker 5: And if it wasn't dementia, I would say that he
- 1:57:27Speaker 5: was just acting. But I honestly think it's dementia. Plus, well,
- 1:57:32Speaker 5: of course, now that he's the outright dumbass, more of
- 1:57:36Speaker 5: an outright dumbass, now his own party is turning. Have
- 1:57:39Speaker 5: you seen all the people.
- 1:57:41Speaker 3: They're like, oh, well, actually, I wasn't really, I don't
- 1:57:45Speaker 3: agree with what he's doing. No, bitch, we remember when.
- 1:57:48Speaker 3: We remember when. Sit your ass back over there. You
- 1:57:50Speaker 3: can't sit with us.
- 1:57:51Speaker 11: No.
- 1:57:52Speaker 6: No.
- 1:57:52Speaker 3: I don't want it. I do not want any of
- 1:57:54Speaker 3: them coming over. They said, I'm sorry. I'm sorry. No. No.
- 1:57:58Speaker 3: We was just playing. Yeah. We was just play racing.
- 1:58:02Speaker 3: It was, you know. Just wait until the realty is
- 1:58:06Speaker 3: after the uh midterms when all that stuff with those
- 1:58:09Speaker 3: uh with the big beautiful bill kicks in they did
- 1:58:13Speaker 3: that conveniently too y'all wait because they're you know a
- 1:58:16Speaker 3: lot of people are upset right now wait until people
- 1:58:19Speaker 3: start getting kicked off because that is the next step
- 1:58:22Speaker 3: y'all I just hope that.
- 1:58:23Speaker 5: They don't blame the Dems like dumbasses. Because you know
- 1:58:26Speaker 5: the Republicans are going to try to spin that.
- 1:58:29Speaker 3: The Democrats are like, you're healthcare and all this other stuff.
- 1:58:34Speaker 3: We told you the big beautiful bill. We had everything.
- 1:58:36Speaker 5: Until the Dems and of course MAGA not knowing how
- 1:58:40Speaker 5: any of this works. It's going to run with it.
- 1:58:42Speaker 5: That'll be their next.
- 1:58:45Speaker 3: That's something that I want from them. Is to have
- 1:58:48Speaker 3: better communication. The Dems have piss poor.
- 1:58:53Speaker 3: Fuck all communication when it comes to being able to
- 1:58:56Speaker 3: tout what's going on and explain to people simply what
- 1:59:00Speaker 3: has occurred and what they've accomplished. And I'm so tired
- 1:59:03Speaker 3: of that.
- 1:59:03Speaker 5: But do you think that's because of the algorithms being manipulated?
- 1:59:07Speaker 6: No. You don't?
- 1:59:08Speaker 3: I do not because I see them on CNN. I
- 1:59:12Speaker 3: see them on Fox. Hell, Pete Buttigieg is on Fox
- 1:59:15Speaker 3: more than some of the Republicans are. And he says
- 1:59:18Speaker 3: what he needs to say. However... He's probably the most
- 1:59:22Speaker 3: outspoken person. Him and Gavin Newsom are the only ones
- 1:59:25Speaker 3: that I've heard. And I will say, what's her name,
- 1:59:28Speaker 3: the congresswoman that we were talking about, Jasmine. I think
- 1:59:32Speaker 3: that those are three people that have been very outspoken, typically.
- 1:59:37Speaker 3: But a lot of other people aren't outspoken and saying
- 1:59:40Speaker 3: what they need to say and being like, this is bullshit, y'all.
- 1:59:43Speaker 3: This is actually what's going on. Nobody comes out there
- 1:59:46Speaker 3: and just says, okay, so he just said this. this
- 1:59:49Speaker 3: is really what happened come on y'all like like don't
- 1:59:54Speaker 3: don't assume that people know because clearly they don't because
- 1:59:57Speaker 3: if they did they wouldn't have let him in the
- 2:00:00Speaker 3: second time hell they wouldn't let him in the first
- 2:00:02Speaker 3: time but well well well hopefully we will see this
- 2:00:09Speaker 3: turn of hopefully this is a turning point y'all you're
- 2:00:12Speaker 3: hearing this on November 3rd pause what's up you said
