- Week 6 Waiver Wire Pickups: Welcome to the week six waiver wire where things are getting nasty. Welcome back to Fat Daddy Sports. I am Craig, and today we're taking a look at the week six waiver wire. Before we get started, if you can't tell, I am battling a nasty man cold right now. Things are not looking good, but we are going to dive into the week six waiver wire, starting right now with my top six guys, and we will take it to Pittsburgh, a guy that I've talked about on the last few waiver wire episodes, and it is Aaron Rodgers. I know this is a big surprise in the year 2026. I had to do a double check on my calendar and make sure everything was right. But Aaron Rodgers is playing some ball right now for the Steelers. Three straight games with three touchdowns. He is slinging that thing around. He's taking shots down the field. Something that I had criticized this Pittsburgh offense for. A lot of people had criticized them for, but he's taking shots and he is looking to score a lot through the air right now. Aaron Rodgers, if you are in need of a quarterback, if you're in a deep league, if you're in a two quarterback league, Aaron Rodgers could be a very, very good pickup, but beware that he could turn right back into that, you know, 180 yards and no touchdowns guy. He could go out and get you eight fantasy points in a game. He could go out and get you twenty five. You just never really know what you're getting. But if you're in a deeper league and you need a guy to pick up for the quarterback position, Aaron Rodgers is only owned in about thirty three percent of leagues right now. So he should be available out there in your leagues. Staying in Pittsburgh, we will go to the rookie wide receiver Jeremy Bernard. This was a game that we saw prior to this game. Michael Pittman went on IR with his planar fasciitis. And then in this game, Roman Wilson got banged up and looks like he's going to miss some time. So they need some pass catchers. Pat Fryermouth is doing his best. DK Metcalf doing his best. But the rookie Jeremy Bernard came in, got nine targets in this previous game in week five. Against the Colts, he turned that into six catches for eighty yards. A modest day, but fourteen point four PPR points. If you're looking for a wide receiver, you're in that deep league that you need a wide receiver play, you need a flex play. He could be a good pickup, gets the Tampa Bay secondary this week, followed by New Orleans and then Cleveland before the week nine by. I would expect Roman Wilson to be out for a couple of weeks at the bare minimum. So if you need a wide receiver play, Jeremy Bernard could fit that bill for a few weeks anyway. Speaking of wide receiver play, if you haven't heard, which I'm sure you have, it's been everywhere. Marvin Harrison Jr. has been traded to the Houston Texans, and that leaves some targets, not many, but some targets available there in Arizona. Kendrick Bourne, if you're looking for a wide receiver play, you're in a deep league. Kendrick Bourne could be a guy that you turn to in this game against Detroit, which things weren't really going well for Arizona at all anywhere on the field. But Kendrick Bourne saw eight targets, five catches for seventy yards, turned that into twelve PPR points. I think better days are ahead for him. I think better days are ahead for this Arizona offense. I don't think it'll be much longer until Carson Beck is in there at quarterback. I don't know if that'll be a good thing, a bad thing, what that's gonna mean, but I do think that without Marv out there on the field, teams are really gonna take away Michael Wilson. I think there's gonna be a lot of targets available there for Kendrick Bourne. So if you're in need of a flex play, I think Kendrick Bourne is a fine addition. Moving over to the tight end position, this is one of my favorite pickups of the week. Brenton Strange, currently owned in forty-seven percent of sleeper leagues right now. he has led Jacksonville in catches the last two weeks. This past week against Philadelphia, eight targets, seven catches, sixty-eight yards, did not get into the end zone, but he was close if I remember right, thirteen point eight PPR points. He has really turned around his usage these last three weeks. He's been out there running a lot more routes, on the field a lot more, getting targeted a lot more. You look at his targets over the last three weeks, five, eight, and eight in the previous two weeks were three and two. So he is just out there a whole lot more. I mean, the first week he was out there sixty-eight percent of the snaps, eighty-three percent, seventy-seven, eighty-seven, eighty-one. So he's out there for eighty plus percent of the snaps in a position that is really just hit or miss. You're probably picking him off up off of the waivers to fill a void in a spot that you were really let down. Like I know for me, I have Colston Lovelin in a few leagues, swinging a miss there. I will be getting rid of him probably and picking up Brenton Strange to fill that tight end void. I think if you're looking for a weekly stream option where you can get around 10 points at that tight end position, I think Brenton Strange is a perfect fit for that. All right, and moving over to my top two pickups of the week, they're both at the running back position. And the first one, this is not really in particular order, but Woody Marks would be my my number one overall waiver pickup this week in week six. Only owned in 57% of league. So he is a little bit over that 50% mark. But we're going to go ahead and include him because he needs to be owned everywhere right now. David Montgomery left week five early with a groin injury that's going to cost him some time. Could even be placed on IR. Who knows? But Woody Marks definitely needs to be owned. He's going to be the number one running back in what should be a turnaround good offense for the Houston Texans. They've looked a little bit better the last two weeks after getting Nico Collins back. And we already mentioned that they just added Marvin Harrison Jr. That should give them a boost. And I think that he should get a ton of goal line work, a a ton of red zone work, and should have a weekly floor of around that 13-14 point mark with room to even grow from there. In this game in week five against Tennessee, he saw 85% of the snaps, 15 carries for 62 yards. He also added four catches on four targets for 23 yards. And all around solid day from Woody Marks. Came in with twelve point five PPR points and like I said, I think that that is a floor. I could see him getting around that twenty-five touch mark every single game. He doesn't have a whole lot of competition there for backfield touches. If David Montgomery misses time, I think Woody Marks could be a big, big winner. And then the other top pickup this week for week six is Damian Pierce in Philadelphia. That backfield, that entire team is really just in shambles right now. But this was a game that they came into already missing Saquon Barkley due to the hamstring issue. They haven't put him on a IR yet, but who knows how much time Saquon's going to miss. There's a lot of smoke in the air about maybe the Eagles looking to trade Saquon. Usually where there's smoke, there's fire. So we'll see as that trade deadline starts to approach. if those trade talks start to heat up for Saquon. But right now, this is a team that is in shambles, really. Came into the game with Damian Pierce and Will Shipley as their lead running backs. Will Will Shipley left this game early with a foot issue. I headed to IR, so that's gonna leave basically this entire backfield to Damian Pierce right now. In this game against Jacksonville, he saw eleven carries, only turned that into fourteen yards, had five targets through the air. You know the The drill with the Philadelphia backfield, those short yardage goal line carries are probably going to go to Jalen Hurts. I mean, if I'm adding Damian Pierce, it's absolutely disgusting. I'm in a terrible spot, but if you need a running back body, you need a play this week or moving forward. I think Damian Pierce could be a good ad. He's only owned in eight percent of leagues. And like I said, he should get all of the touches and then some. They're in Philadelphia. they got Dallas Goddard back in week five. He was thrown right back into the mix right away. They should be getting Devonta Smith back here soon. and this is an offense that, I mean, they are still moving the ball. They moved the ball pretty well against Jacksonville. They should have won that game against Jacksonville. They looked okay at times through the air. And if they get down in that red zone, who knows? Maybe Damian Pierce can fall into the end zone one or two times a week for you, get you that 10-point floor. If you need a running back two, Damian Pierce could be a good addition this week, but Like I said, things are pretty nasty out there on the waiver wire this week in week six. Nobody that I'm really looking to spend a whole lot of fab on or a high priority pick. Woody Marks would definitely be my number one pick, probably followed by Brenton Strange. I think that those two guys lead the way for me this week. But let me know down in the comments who did I miss?
