- 0:10Speaker 1: Welcome to Conspiracy The Show with your hosts Adam Todd
- 0:15Speaker 1: Brown and Kanye mcspaden on this episode the Oklahoma City bombings.
- 0:32Speaker 2: All right, we are recording. Yeah, how exciting, I know,
- 0:37Speaker 2: first episode of a new podcast.
- 0:40Speaker 3: Indeed, it is the as of yet unnamed Gass Theory podcast.
- 0:43Speaker 2: The Conspiracy Theory Show podcast something like that.
- 0:49Speaker 3: Oh, that's gonna have great se O just for words
- 0:52Speaker 3: constantly used in other capacities. Yeah, yeah, almost limitlessly.
- 0:57Speaker 2: We are SEO experts around these parts. Mm hmm, so
- 1:01Speaker 2: I see experts. Al right, yeah, I was gonna do it.
- 1:05Speaker 3: But seriously, one of the largest attacks on American soil
- 1:09Speaker 3: since Pearl Harbor, if not the okay, yeah, yeah, I
- 1:12Speaker 3: think I think it's Oklahoma City in the nine to
- 1:13Speaker 3: eleven that's pretty much it.
- 1:15Speaker 2: Yeah, Oklahoma City nine to eleven. All the other terrorist attacks, well,
- 1:19Speaker 2: I guess Pearl Harbor was.
- 1:20Speaker 3: Yeah, I think Pearl Harbor. I think, you know, it's
- 1:22Speaker 3: probably the biggest in Pearl Harbor. And then nine eleven
- 1:24Speaker 3: was the biggest since Pearl Harbor. I don't think anything's
- 1:27Speaker 3: top Pearl Harbor.
- 1:28Speaker 2: No, was nine to eleven more than Pearl Harbor.
- 1:31Speaker 3: Nine to eleven was like two thousand people in Pearl Harbor.
- 1:33Speaker 3: I think was slightly more. Yeah, I could be wrong.
- 1:36Speaker 3: Who knows, Yeah, who knows. It happened such a long
- 1:38Speaker 3: time ago.
- 1:39Speaker 2: I mean, who cares. Right, Yeah, it's ben get over it. Geez.
- 1:43Speaker 3: It's funny because you know, we said December seventh of day,
- 1:45Speaker 3: which will live in infamy, and we probably I could
- 1:47Speaker 3: go to Iraq. They're like, oh, which December seventh that
- 1:49Speaker 3: you're talking about, ninety six, ninety seven, they're all pretty infamous.
- 1:53Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, we have a good here. Yeah, so yeah,
- 1:57Speaker 2: we're we're talking about this is a conspiracy theory. As
- 2:00Speaker 2: we said at the beginning, because everyone knows I'm way
- 2:04Speaker 2: into conspiracy theories, and.
- 2:06Speaker 3: As I learned from the intensely detailed notes which I
- 2:10Speaker 3: received to study of for this week's episode, just at
- 2:13Speaker 3: this debunking is obviously biased by this person's tenure at
- 2:17Speaker 3: the universe.
- 2:17Speaker 2: Hey, look, I take it seriously.
- 2:20Speaker 3: Oh, I know, I'm excited to get into it.
- 2:22Speaker 2: Yeah, this is Uh, that's one of my favorite things
- 2:25Speaker 2: to do, is just dig it because it's it comes
- 2:28Speaker 2: from working at Cracked and having to write.
- 2:31Speaker 3: Having to mine the depths of human history for crazy generals. Yeah,
- 2:35Speaker 3: and times that the FBI did wacky shit right pretty much.
- 2:39Speaker 2: Yeah, and uh that's uh, that's what this Oklahoma City
- 2:43Speaker 2: thing kind of turned into. But the yeah, we're doing uh,
- 2:46Speaker 2: doing two episodes next week. We're doing ancient nuclear war.
- 2:50Speaker 3: I know this is something I'll probably be able to
- 2:52Speaker 3: talk a little bit more cogently about because, uh, I
- 2:54Speaker 3: I got an A in my geology of the solar
- 2:56Speaker 3: system class in community college. So very good, basically an expert.
- 3:01Speaker 2: Good good good. And I bomb federal buildings. I'm good
- 3:07Speaker 2: with you.
- 3:07Speaker 3: Definitely have a federal building bomber aesthetic, if I have
- 3:10Speaker 3: to say that, Like, I feel like you would definitely
- 3:12Speaker 3: know where to get fertilizer. The shades in the studio
- 3:15Speaker 3: are perpetually drawn.
- 3:17Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, it's very it's very conspiratorial. I mean, if
- 3:21Speaker 2: there wasn't a black and white American flag, if there.
- 3:23Speaker 3: Wasn't so much nostalgic accoutrement, I would definitely think this
- 3:27Speaker 3: would be an excellent place to write a manifesto.
- 3:29Speaker 2: Oh yeah for sure.
- 3:30Speaker 3: Yeah, but the Iron Giant as a much needed load
- 3:33Speaker 3: of note of levity to the to the atmosphere.
- 3:37Speaker 2: I could turn the wolf lamp on.
- 3:39Speaker 3: Oh yeah, the wolf lamp.
- 3:40Speaker 2: That'll help give us a nice blue glow in here.
- 3:43Speaker 3: Yeah, shines a light on the cover ups.
- 3:46Speaker 2: Shines a light on the truth. Man, the truth is
- 3:48Speaker 2: goddamn out there. Did you watch that Oklahoma City documentary?
- 3:52Speaker 3: I didn't watch the documentary. I read the articles about
- 3:54Speaker 3: it and yeah, and I did some digging into that today.
- 3:57Speaker 2: Yeah, there's a there's a documentary right now on that
- 4:00Speaker 2: flicks that people can go watch if they want to
- 4:03Speaker 2: study up on the history of the Oklahoma City bombing.
- 4:07Speaker 2: And it's a pretty straightforward telling of the events, at
- 4:11Speaker 2: least the official explanation of events, which is what we'll
- 4:15Speaker 2: go through first in case people.
- 4:16Speaker 3: Official might be a good name for this podcast.
- 4:19Speaker 2: Yeah, that would be a good one. We'll come up
- 4:23Speaker 2: with it. Maybe we'll put it out to the people.
- 4:24Speaker 2: Oh yeah, we could ask them, you know, something with
- 4:28Speaker 2: conspiracy in the name.
- 4:29Speaker 3: The only surviving vestige of democracy is the Twitter poll.
- 4:32Speaker 3: I mean, everything else is influenced by Russian bots and
- 4:35Speaker 3: wiki leaks, So I don't know.
- 4:37Speaker 2: If any Russian bots listen to this podcast, that would
- 4:40Speaker 2: be be pretty great. It would be cool spread some property.
- 4:44Speaker 3: And st algorithm that just scanned for keywords, you know.
- 4:48Speaker 2: And then just retweeted our podcast and just.
- 4:50Speaker 3: Upvoted us on on the Donald. Yep, we passed the test.
- 4:55Speaker 3: Put approved?
- 4:56Speaker 2: Is that? Is that a subreddit?
- 4:57Speaker 3: That's the big Trump subreddit?
- 4:59Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 4:59Speaker 3: Or the Donald and uh yeah, it's a It's sort
- 5:02Speaker 3: of funny because these people couldn't even that. It's are
- 5:04Speaker 3: the underscore Donald? Not a great handle for your subreddit,
- 5:08Speaker 3: but that's like the big one that they all flocked too.
- 5:10Speaker 3: Like they couldn't get our Trump or Donald Trump. They
- 5:13Speaker 3: had to settle for real third string and straight yeah.
- 5:16Speaker 2: Which almost no one calls him. Which yeah.
- 5:19Speaker 3: Also ironically that are the leader of the free world
- 5:22Speaker 3: has real in his Twitter handle. I still find that
- 5:25Speaker 3: to be one of the most unsettling things about his
- 5:27Speaker 3: administration is that he could not just get Donald He
- 5:29Speaker 3: couldn't buy out or whatever out of principle. The guy
- 5:32Speaker 3: that owns ed Donald Trump.
- 5:33Speaker 2: Yeah, I wonder who does own at Donald Trump. I
- 5:36Speaker 2: don't know, I haven't heard that. Maybe it's just some
- 5:39Speaker 2: dude named Donald Trump. I'll pull it, yeah, like fuck him.
- 5:42Speaker 3: He's like, man, I'm just a fucking I'm a commercial
- 5:45Speaker 3: real estate agent. From Nebraska. All right, I didn't want
- 5:47Speaker 3: any part in this.
- 5:49Speaker 2: Ah, poor guy. So the Oklahoma City bombing there we
- 5:54Speaker 2: One of the articles we went through was a timeline
- 5:57Speaker 2: for the Oklahoma City bombing, which was exhaustive. It starts
- 6:02Speaker 2: at the birth, ye yeah, April nineteen fifty five, Terry
- 6:05Speaker 2: Nichols birth. Like, I don't need all that, okay.
- 6:08Speaker 3: The quick update the Twitter handle at Donald Trump just
- 6:12Speaker 3: says to follow the real Donald Trump at real Donald Trump.
- 6:15Speaker 3: So it's it seems as though he's bought it but
- 6:17Speaker 3: didn't want to lose out on all his hot mentions,
- 6:20Speaker 3: you know, at the ages, and then just just redirected it.
- 6:24Speaker 2: What a maniac, man, Yeah, all right, what a goddamn maniac. Yes,
- 6:28Speaker 2: this timeline, the timeline is fucking exhaustive. It starts April first,
- 6:32Speaker 2: nineteen fifty five, when Terry Nichols is born to Joyce
- 6:35Speaker 2: and Robert Nichols and Lapierre Michigan, and it goes through
- 6:39Speaker 2: Terry Nichols, Timothy McVeigh, and Michael forty A's formative years.
- 6:44Speaker 2: I guess, yeah, call it.
- 6:45Speaker 3: The high school stuff. So you know, it's obviously the
- 6:48Speaker 3: desert chield, desert strong stuff with Timothy's Pertinent Info.
- 6:52Speaker 2: Yeah and there. Yeah, they do. They do a good
- 6:54Speaker 2: job of framing like important white supremist type activities that happened.
- 7:02Speaker 3: And some of some of the around this time, which
- 7:04Speaker 3: you know, it's interesting because this is a very sort
- 7:06Speaker 3: of like the official version. You know, this is very
- 7:10Speaker 3: cut and dry, you know, like this is according to
- 7:12Speaker 3: you know, what the official story is what happened. A
- 7:15Speaker 3: lot of the things they're referencing tie into the conspiracy theories,
- 7:18Speaker 3: like Ruby Ridge and Waco and all that goes to
- 7:21Speaker 3: Eloheim City, that weird you know, white nationalists compound.
- 7:24Speaker 2: Yeah. Have you ever seen the documentary about that place?
- 7:26Speaker 3: No, I haven't.
- 7:27Speaker 2: It's uh, I don't remember what it's called. And I
- 7:30Speaker 2: don't know that it's exactly about elloween City, but it
- 7:33Speaker 2: was the worst David.
- 7:34Speaker 3: Bowie song ever, by the way.
- 7:37Speaker 2: That it is. Yeah, it was like an early nineties
- 7:40Speaker 2: documentary maybe mid nineties about skinheads and hate groups and
- 7:44Speaker 2: they visit elloween City.
- 7:46Speaker 3: Yeah, they're like some of the Pittsburgh punk rock guys
- 7:50Speaker 3: are into that, and then one of them, Yeah, it's
- 7:51Speaker 3: just one of them got arrested and got a sex
- 7:53Speaker 3: change in jail afterwards.
- 7:54Speaker 2: Yeah, it's really really an interesting conversation.
- 7:58Speaker 3: I had recently about a friend of mine is a
- 8:01Speaker 3: nose of Dominatrix, and she says a lot of her
- 8:02Speaker 3: clients are like real hardcore punk rock dudes. You know.
- 8:05Speaker 3: She's like, it's mostly like businessmen, like kind of powerful,
- 8:08Speaker 3: like real estate types like you'd expect. And then there's
- 8:10Speaker 3: like a lot of like just dudes with like Dead
- 8:12Speaker 3: Kennedy's T shirts and like mohawks. They're like, all right, yeah,
- 8:15Speaker 3: I'm gonna need to put on a diaper and ship
- 8:17Speaker 3: myself while I jerk off.
- 8:18Speaker 2: Wow, I wonder what. I wonder what that What the
- 8:21Speaker 2: psychology behind that is.
- 8:22Speaker 3: I don't know. I find it interesting though, but uh yeah,
- 8:26Speaker 3: we're getting away from the point, so yeah, I.
- 8:28Speaker 2: Suppose a little bit. So yeah, they go through all
- 8:31Speaker 2: of these things that happened during McVeigh and forty a's
- 8:35Speaker 2: kind of formative years, like like you said, Ruby Ridge,
- 8:39Speaker 2: Operation Desert Shield, which Timothy McVay actually fought in Waco.
- 8:45Speaker 2: See the kind of the official explanation for this is
- 8:48Speaker 2: that Timothy mcveay was inspired by what happened at Waco
- 8:54Speaker 2: to bomb and there's that federal building.
- 8:56Speaker 3: The news footage of him like selling those anti government
- 8:58Speaker 3: bumper stickers. Yeah seen, and he he said like, oh,
- 9:02Speaker 3: I killed innocent people in Iraq, and you know that
- 9:04Speaker 3: was government sanctioned, so he was trying to kill you know,
- 9:08Speaker 3: da and atf people that might have been in the
- 9:10Speaker 3: Felder Federal Building and kind of you know, shate a line,
- 9:12Speaker 3: shine a light on the hypocracy of the government, is
- 9:14Speaker 3: what I've been able to gather as a justification for it,
- 9:16Speaker 3: although it does seem a little convoluted, as you know,
- 9:19Speaker 3: is to be expected with someone who's going to kill
- 9:21Speaker 3: one hundred sixty people.
- 9:22Speaker 2: In the middle of all this, after he gets out
- 9:24Speaker 2: of Iraq, Ruby Ridge happens August twenty first, nineteen ninety two,
- 9:30Speaker 2: and then Waco happens, and this is what apparently prompts
- 9:34Speaker 2: him to start plotting to blow up the Federal Building.
- 9:38Speaker 2: But what's weird to me is in this timeline it
- 9:41Speaker 2: jumps from July nineteen ninety four to September nineteen four,
- 9:46Speaker 2: nineteen ninety four, and July nineteen ninety four. McVeigh is
- 9:49Speaker 2: the best man at Michael and Laurie Forty's wedding September thirteenth,
- 9:52Speaker 2: nineteen ninety four, McVeigh begins his plot to blow up
- 9:55Speaker 2: the Oklahoma City Federal Building. I feel like there's some
- 9:58Speaker 2: parts missing there.
- 9:59Speaker 3: I mean, yeah, that one of the things I was
- 10:01Speaker 3: reading said that he got really into a book, a
- 10:04Speaker 3: novel which was, you know, talking about an armed resistance
- 10:08Speaker 3: the American government that involved blowing up federal building. So
- 10:11Speaker 3: a lot of people think that was an ADO test
- 10:12Speaker 3: for his plan. But I mean, to me, that's not
- 10:15Speaker 3: that that it's not a huge I mean until you
- 10:18Speaker 3: I don't think there's any pertinent like bullet points there
- 10:21Speaker 3: aside from you know, whatever the gradual radicalization or whatever
- 10:24Speaker 3: you want to call it.
- 10:25Speaker 2: Yeah, you know, yeah, there's nothing, nothing that really stands
- 10:29Speaker 2: out up until.
- 10:30Speaker 3: If anything, the marriage is just kind of a fun fact. Yeah,
- 10:34Speaker 3: in the mist Yeah, it's like they're just trying to
- 10:37Speaker 3: pad this out. Oh he can rent more than a truck.
- 10:39Speaker 3: He also running a tucks July of nineteen ninety four.
- 10:44Speaker 2: So then it goes through all of the different steps
- 10:48Speaker 2: they took to gather the explosives to build this bomb,
- 10:52Speaker 2: which happens mostly in October of nineteen ninety four.
- 10:57Speaker 3: What's what's interesting to me is that if I enless
- 10:59Speaker 3: a mistake and they buy two tons of ammonium nitrate
- 11:03Speaker 3: from the same place in McPherson, Kansas. So that means
- 11:08Speaker 3: they bought a ton of ammonium nitrate and then they
- 11:10Speaker 3: went back like weeks later, like you're gonna need another
- 11:13Speaker 3: ton of ammonium nitrate. This guy's like, what level of
- 11:17Speaker 3: farming is this man do with me?
- 11:18Speaker 2: Yeah? Yeah, that didn't raise any fucking red flags at all.
- 11:21Speaker 3: I guess this is probably before we were super scrupulous
- 11:26Speaker 3: about like credit transactions or whatever, because now, I mean,
- 11:30Speaker 3: if you make a couple you know, late night four
- 11:33Speaker 3: chance searches and then go and look at the perus
- 11:36Speaker 3: the wrong pages on Amazon, you're gonna knock at the
- 11:38Speaker 3: front door. But in the nineties you're just like, yeah,
- 11:40Speaker 3: I knew I have a farm that I have no
- 11:43Speaker 3: proof exists. Yeah, yeah, I also love motorcycles.
- 11:46Speaker 2: Yeah. It kind of harkens back to nine to eleven
- 11:50Speaker 2: when like different intelligence agencies just weren't talking to each other. Yeah,
- 11:54Speaker 2: so like the FBI was like, hey, we're gonna get bombed.
- 11:57Speaker 2: Someone should tell the CIA, and I'm like, ah, they'll find.
- 12:01Speaker 1: What.
- 12:01Speaker 3: We're gonna lose our fucking edge and then we're not
- 12:03Speaker 3: gonna get the pizza party.
- 12:05Speaker 2: That's their job.
- 12:06Speaker 3: Yeah, or like the scene in every fucking one hour
- 12:09Speaker 3: drama where like, oh the Feds are here, you know, like, oh,
- 12:12Speaker 3: we gotta do this without the feds.
- 12:14Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 12:15Speaker 3: So he also the interesting way they stole the detonators
- 12:18Speaker 3: from a quarry, yeah, which is kind of a punk
- 12:21Speaker 3: rock move. Yeah, there was a lot of James Bond shit.
- 12:24Speaker 3: I mean there wasn't There wasn't a lot of building this.
- 12:26Speaker 3: These things all, you know, fairly they all happened fairly
- 12:29Speaker 3: far apart, So I mean it would have, you know,
- 12:31Speaker 3: would have been impressive to link them all together.
- 12:33Speaker 2: But yeah, it is crazy how they just sort of
- 12:36Speaker 2: went on that spree of buying bomb making shit in
- 12:40Speaker 2: early October because all of those purchases were finished by
- 12:44Speaker 2: October twenty first.
- 12:46Speaker 3: Real terrible coming of age teen road trip comedy, you know,
- 12:50Speaker 3: like driving across the country with a trailer full of
- 12:53Speaker 3: stinky farming powder.
- 12:55Speaker 2: Yeah, I want to see the comedy version of this
- 12:57Speaker 2: with the.
- 12:58Speaker 3: Bobcath Goldways is a correcting it. It seems like some
- 13:01Speaker 3: shitty do So.
- 13:03Speaker 2: The official story is that after McVeigh gathered all this equipment,
- 13:09Speaker 2: he drove a rider truck to Oklahoma City by himself
- 13:13Speaker 2: and blew up the Federal building in Oklahoma City. And
- 13:18Speaker 2: that's always been the kind of the accepted explanation is
- 13:23Speaker 2: that he did it along with Terry Nichols, who weirdly
- 13:26Speaker 2: wasn't in Oklahoma City when the bombing happened. Now, but
- 13:31Speaker 2: they do pretty much cite him as the other conspirator because.
- 13:35Speaker 3: He was, if I'm not mistake, involved with the accruing
- 13:38Speaker 3: supplies and everything.
- 13:39Speaker 2: Getting the supplies together, and I think maybe helping to
- 13:41Speaker 2: assemble the bomb, but he wasn't in Oklahoma City, and
- 13:46Speaker 2: that's kind of where where it ends later. You know,
- 13:49Speaker 2: that morning Timothy McVeigh got pulled over on Interstate thirty
- 13:52Speaker 2: five near Perry, Oklahoma, went to jail. They eventually on
- 13:57Speaker 2: the fire.
- 13:58Speaker 3: That's always the that's always the fucking not irritating but
- 14:01Speaker 3: the weird thing to me. But these you know, everybody
- 14:04Speaker 3: gets busted initially for some other small crime, like the
- 14:07Speaker 3: license like if you're gonna blow up a federal building,
- 14:09Speaker 3: like have your tags?
- 14:11Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, he was driving a car with no license plate.
- 14:13Speaker 3: Or it's like the kids in my high school that
- 14:15Speaker 3: would get popped because the drug sniffing dog smelled weed
- 14:17Speaker 3: in their bag. They didn't find weed, but there was
- 14:18Speaker 3: a switch blade and a Porno maag in the backpack,
- 14:21Speaker 3: and they're like, dude, come on, like you know you
- 14:23Speaker 3: smell like weed. Like, just lead the switchblade at home.
- 14:25Speaker 2: Yeah. It's all like when you hear about someone getting
- 14:28Speaker 2: busted driving cross country with drugs, it's always like they
- 14:31Speaker 2: were pulled over for speeding. It's like, why the fuck
- 14:33Speaker 2: are you speeding? Yeah, Like I would go, I mean,
- 14:36Speaker 2: we got these drugs in here, we gotta hurry. Yeah.
- 14:38Speaker 2: I would go one mile over the speed limit the
- 14:41Speaker 2: entire time. Yeah, so I didn't look suspicious. If I
- 14:43Speaker 2: was smuggling drugs, I would buy a new car with
- 14:45Speaker 2: cruise control. Its just so I didn't.
- 14:47Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 14:47Speaker 2: Yeah, but you'll still get pulled over. I got pulled
- 14:49Speaker 2: over twice driving across country. I was, but I was
- 14:53Speaker 2: in a black Lincoln Navigator and we got pulled over
- 14:57Speaker 2: in Sioux Falls.
- 14:58Speaker 3: This is your recreat the plot of Soul Men, the
- 15:01Speaker 3: Bernie mac and Sam Jackson vehicle pretty much. Yeah, that's
- 15:05Speaker 3: a pimp ass cars. That's a fucking cool road trip.
- 15:08Speaker 3: Where were you doing that?
- 15:09Speaker 2: I was moving. I was moving from New York to
- 15:13Speaker 2: San Francisco, and we drove the whole way. We took
- 15:16Speaker 2: like two weeks and just kind of casually drove. But
- 15:19Speaker 2: when we were almost out of South Dakota, we were
- 15:23Speaker 2: going five miles over the speed limit, had cruise control on.
- 15:27Speaker 2: A cop passes us and immediately turns on his lights
- 15:30Speaker 2: and does a U turn and pulls us over for speeding,
- 15:32Speaker 2: and we're going five miles over. Like you never get
- 15:34Speaker 2: pulled over for that. Yeah, And I'm pretty sure it
- 15:37Speaker 2: was just because we were in a really nice car
- 15:39Speaker 2: with New York plates. Yeah, I had no reason to
- 15:42Speaker 2: be there.
- 15:43Speaker 3: Did you get a ticket?
- 15:44Speaker 2: Yeah, we got a ticket, And then we got another
- 15:46Speaker 2: ticket in Wyoming like an hour later for the exact
- 15:50Speaker 2: same thing.
- 15:51Speaker 3: I just said, cruise control if it's seventy you know,
- 15:53Speaker 3: if the speed limit seventy I said cruise control at
- 15:55Speaker 3: seventy four, and I just, yeah, leave it. That's always
- 15:58Speaker 3: my move. Yeah, I think the worst state for traffic stops,
- 16:02Speaker 3: worst place to blow up a federal building. In other words,
- 16:04Speaker 3: I would say Arizona, Arizona. Oh yeah, yeah, that's like
- 16:08Speaker 3: someone was explained to me how like they've basically like
- 16:11Speaker 3: stripped all like taxes and regulations because it's such a
- 16:14Speaker 3: republican state that basically the only way they have to
- 16:17Speaker 3: gain revenues for tickets, you know, so they just have
- 16:19Speaker 3: the cameras and everything. I've gotten popped for those. Just
- 16:22Speaker 3: like every time I go do a gig in Arizona,
- 16:23Speaker 3: I break even because of some bullshit traffic offense.
- 16:25Speaker 2: But yeah, yeah, I've I've usually whenever I've traveled through Arizona,
- 16:30Speaker 2: I've been on a train.
- 16:31Speaker 3: Oh it's a good move.
- 16:33Speaker 2: Yeah, it's a little bit safer. Yeah, that's a fucking
- 16:36Speaker 2: nightmare driving anywhere down there. Your phone doesn't work, Oh yeah,
- 16:40Speaker 2: Like it's like like.
- 16:41Speaker 3: I took the eight one time from San Diego to Arizona.
- 16:44Speaker 3: I was so close to the Mexican border, like you know,
- 16:46Speaker 3: it shows up like O eight T four G. I
- 16:48Speaker 3: was on like Tell Mexico sixty nine fucking phone and
- 16:52Speaker 3: I had like used like roaming data and shit like
- 16:54Speaker 3: trying to bullet my maps. It was fucking ridiculous.
- 16:56Speaker 2: Fuck that. So, yeah, Timothy McVeigh blows up the Federal
- 17:01Speaker 2: Building by himself, well with the help of Timothy Nichols
- 17:04Speaker 2: or Terry Nichols, and that that's the accepted story. But
- 17:09Speaker 2: like with anything else like this, a bunch of different
- 17:12Speaker 2: conspiracies have popped up around it. The first one being
- 17:16Speaker 2: that there were additional conspirators and this one I kind
- 17:20Speaker 2: of believe.
- 17:21Speaker 3: Yeah, like it's not that well. I mean, they have
- 17:24Speaker 3: they have the accounts of the people leaving the rider
- 17:27Speaker 3: truck with Timothy.
- 17:28Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 17:29Speaker 3: And then what basically happened to this guy what was
- 17:32Speaker 3: his name again, the guy who got killed? Yeah, yeah,
- 17:35Speaker 3: the guy that was or killed himself in jail, Kenny
- 17:37Speaker 3: trent to do, Kenny Trent to do. He was you know,
- 17:41Speaker 3: popped for again a you know, small like license plate
- 17:43Speaker 3: or whatever type thing coming back up from Mexico, and
- 17:46Speaker 3: they basically threw him in jail. He called his family
- 17:49Speaker 3: and he's like, hey, I'll be all right, I'll talk
- 17:50Speaker 3: to you guys in a couple of days. And then
- 17:52Speaker 3: they found him, you know, dead of a supposed suicide.
- 17:54Speaker 3: But they also offered to cremate the body pro bono,
- 17:58Speaker 3: which is like not something that.
- 17:59Speaker 2: Presents apparently super weird.
- 18:01Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean that's I'm for anything that's you know
- 18:03Speaker 3: that that was a bad move. I understand where they're
- 18:05Speaker 3: coming from, but you know, yeah, they're trying to like
- 18:08Speaker 3: make it seem like they're doing a favor while we're
- 18:10Speaker 3: covering up the evidence or whatever.
- 18:11Speaker 2: Just set them on fire right now, Yeah.
- 18:13Speaker 3: You do it. Oh, we ovens warmed up. We were
- 18:15Speaker 3: just maringing a pizza gas for the big Cia pizza
- 18:18Speaker 3: party because they caught in like he had a bunch.
- 18:20Speaker 2: Of fuel on him, yeah, and solid fire with that.
- 18:22Speaker 3: Yeah, he was wearing his gasoline nineties.
- 18:26Speaker 2: Yeah. So this, uh, there's always been this rumor or
- 18:30Speaker 2: conspiracy theory that there was a second conspirator involved. And
- 18:36Speaker 2: what happened with Kenny Trent to do? He was, like
- 18:40Speaker 2: you said, in prison, he got moved to Oklahoma City
- 18:43Speaker 2: for a parole hearing, which that's weird, and you're in
- 18:46Speaker 2: prison in California. Normally they do your parole hearing in California. Yeah,
- 18:51Speaker 2: and they flew him to Oklahoma City for some reason.
- 18:55Speaker 2: He called his sister on August nineteenth, told her he
- 18:57Speaker 2: was there for a parole hearing, called her again that night,
- 19:00Speaker 2: said he would call her the next morning. He was
- 19:02Speaker 2: in really good spirits. And then they don't hear from
- 19:04Speaker 2: him at all until August twenty first, when the prison
- 19:07Speaker 2: warden calls a family to say he killed himself, and,
- 19:11Speaker 2: like you said, offers to cover the cost of cremating him,
- 19:13Speaker 2: which prisons don't do. So the family shoots down that
- 19:18Speaker 2: offer and they get the body back and it looks
- 19:21Speaker 2: like he's been beaten and his throat's been slashed, and
- 19:24Speaker 2: he's got legature mind.
- 19:25Speaker 3: He would have done it left handed, Yeah, he was
- 19:28Speaker 3: right handed. There's like all that little shit like that.
- 19:30Speaker 2: Yeah, everything about it is suspicious, like it looks.
- 19:35Speaker 3: Like a murder, and that the people aren't even necessarily
- 19:38Speaker 3: saying that he was the second conspirator, but rather than
- 19:40Speaker 3: he matched, the description just kind of looked like the
- 19:43Speaker 3: guy because people were describing the guy that was with
- 19:45Speaker 3: Timothy was having a dragon tattoo on his arm. By
- 19:47Speaker 3: the way, I've been to Oklahoma. If you're gonna, you know,
- 19:50Speaker 3: kill every guy in a holding cell that had a
- 19:53Speaker 3: dragon tattoo on his arm, do you fucking tax revenue
- 19:57Speaker 3: would kill it one forever? Yeah, Yeah, it's a big undertaking.
- 20:03Speaker 2: Yeah. Uh So when the body gets shipped back, he
- 20:06Speaker 2: looks like he's been beaten to death. In the families, like,
- 20:09Speaker 2: what the fuck they did?
- 20:11Speaker 3: They did fly him cargo on Spirit Airlines.
- 20:13Speaker 2: So and his brother Jesse eventually gets an anonymous call
- 20:19Speaker 2: that says, uh. Basically, the caller says his brother was
- 20:22Speaker 2: murdered or that Kenny trent to Do was murdered by
- 20:25Speaker 2: the FBI and that there was an interrogation that went
- 20:28Speaker 2: wrong and that he fit a profile. And that profile
- 20:32Speaker 2: is this number two conspirator that people say.
- 20:35Speaker 3: And people call him John Done number two. Yeah, he's
- 20:38Speaker 3: in that drawing from where Timothy run at the rider truck, right, Yeah.
- 20:41Speaker 2: Which in the documentary that's on Netflix, they claim that
- 20:45Speaker 2: guy in that other person in the drawing is just
- 20:48Speaker 2: another dude who was in He just happened to be
- 20:52Speaker 2: running a truck.
- 20:52Speaker 3: Which kind of probably makes more sense, Yeah, kind of,
- 20:56Speaker 3: I mean because I don't know, maybe because yeah, you know,
- 21:00Speaker 3: I don't know. None of this makes sense. Connor, that's
- 21:03Speaker 3: the problem, madam, Yeah, uncover it another another way. The
- 21:06Speaker 3: FBI fucked up is a and I feel like this
- 21:09Speaker 3: happens so often. Is that this dude's Kenny uh uh
- 21:13Speaker 3: trampoline his brother.
- 21:15Speaker 2: Was a lawyer.
- 21:16Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, they always needs to have it like where, Oh, yeah,
- 21:18Speaker 3: the good kid and the bad kid. The bad kid
- 21:20Speaker 3: gets you know, something fucked up happens to him, that's
- 21:23Speaker 3: you know, smells a little fishy. And then the lawyer
- 21:24Speaker 3: has to, like on some weird dared devil shit, has
- 21:27Speaker 3: to devote his life to, you know, trying to expose
- 21:30Speaker 3: the truth.
- 21:31Speaker 2: Yeah, and that's uh, that's that's what he eventually ends
- 21:34Speaker 2: up doing, is uh, trying to uncover what happened to
- 21:38Speaker 2: his brother.
- 21:39Speaker 3: There's also one little sub conspiracy with that the writer
- 21:43Speaker 3: rental sketches or whatever in the description of Timothy and
- 21:47Speaker 3: John Don Number two at the scene is there's security
- 21:49Speaker 3: footage of Timothy at a McDonald's a mile and a
- 21:51Speaker 3: half away twenty four minutes before and he's totally you know,
- 21:55Speaker 3: dry or whatever. And apparently he's raining that day. And
- 21:57Speaker 3: they say that he got to the other place, he
- 21:59Speaker 3: wasn't wet, and he didn't have a car, and they're like, hell,
- 22:01Speaker 3: could he have possibly done that? Yeah, here's my answer,
- 22:04Speaker 3: an umbrella.
- 22:05Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 22:05Speaker 3: I was reading that and I was like, you got
- 22:07Speaker 3: a cab. I mean, you know, he ended up might
- 22:10Speaker 3: buy two tons of ammonium nitrate. I feel like he
- 22:12Speaker 3: had cab fair knocking around.
- 22:14Speaker 2: Yeah, he probably could have made it. Yeah, but with
- 22:17Speaker 2: with Kenny Trent to do all this, all the usual
- 22:20Speaker 2: conspiracy theory shit happens. The clothes he was wearing when
- 22:24Speaker 2: he dies go missing, a bunch of other evidence might
- 22:27Speaker 2: have been tampered with. His cell was cleaned the same
- 22:30Speaker 2: day before they could do any kind of crime scene investigation.
- 22:34Speaker 2: The walls were painted over. There was a second person's
- 22:37Speaker 2: blood found in the cell, probably not a big deal,
- 22:41Speaker 2: and that was never entered into evidence, and so it
- 22:45Speaker 2: was all really suspect. And then Fred Jordan, the chief
- 22:49Speaker 2: medical Examiner of Oklahoma at the time, steps in and
- 22:53Speaker 2: they basically the state wants him to classify this death
- 22:56Speaker 2: as a suicide. And for a very long time he refuses.
- 23:01Speaker 2: His a memo in his own files say very likely
- 23:05Speaker 2: this man was.
- 23:06Speaker 3: Killed, and uh, then he got a memo it looked
- 23:09Speaker 3: like a brick, Yeah, through his family's window while his
- 23:12Speaker 3: children's left.
- 23:13Speaker 2: Yeah. He finally he did, finally, years later change his
- 23:17Speaker 2: ruling to suicide, but only after he was getting crazy
- 23:21Speaker 2: pressure from the government to do it. According to him,
- 23:25Speaker 2: like even.
- 23:26Speaker 3: It's just kind of one of those like small town
- 23:28Speaker 3: guys like I didn't want any pardon this shit, you know.
- 23:30Speaker 2: Yeah, Like even the state's attorney at one point wrote
- 23:34Speaker 2: a letter to I believe the FBI basically saying stop
- 23:39Speaker 2: harassing this guy. Yeah, and they didn't until he he
- 23:43Speaker 2: said it was suicide.
- 23:45Speaker 3: Until he until he fucking caved to the official version.
- 23:49Speaker 2: Fucking sellout, man, what a fucking sellout. So the the
- 23:54Speaker 2: this conspirator number two, there's a lot of people.
- 23:56Speaker 3: Who think, I will say, in his defense, do you
- 23:58Speaker 3: really want to be the Rosa Parks of a guy
- 23:59Speaker 3: with the dragon tattoo on his arm? I mean, we're
- 24:01Speaker 3: gonna make a stand for somebody. I dude, that was
- 24:03Speaker 3: a notorious bank robber. It might not be the place
- 24:05Speaker 3: you want to draw the line in your sand and
- 24:07Speaker 3: condemn your kids to a life of harassment.
- 24:09Speaker 2: Yeah, that's not the hill to die on.
- 24:10Speaker 3: Yeah, you're gonna have to talk to somebody dudes with
- 24:12Speaker 3: weird haircuts on the History Channel, you know, for the
- 24:14Speaker 3: rest of your life about your dad and all the
- 24:16Speaker 3: goods good he tried to do.
- 24:18Speaker 2: I want to get on the History Channel just once
- 24:20Speaker 2: as a talking head. I really don't.
- 24:22Speaker 3: I don't think that that's an unattainable goal at all.
- 24:25Speaker 2: Probably not.
- 24:26Speaker 3: Uh yeah. Another thing about to say, the state of
- 24:28Speaker 3: Oklahoma it is. If you ever wondered where all the
- 24:31Speaker 3: people who watch the shows on the History Channel that
- 24:33Speaker 3: have nothing to do with history are, it's there. Oh yeah,
- 24:36Speaker 3: it's just con stars the state.
- 24:38Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, I fucking I love the History Channel.
- 24:41Speaker 3: It's it's a ton of fun.
- 24:42Speaker 2: I watch it. I watched the shit out of American Pickers.
- 24:45Speaker 3: Oh yeah, no, I mean every time I'm home for Christmas,
- 24:47Speaker 3: we just throwing pickers Man. To have a Pickers marathon
- 24:52Speaker 3: is like a catnip for white people in their early fifties.
- 24:55Speaker 3: So my parents just love it.
- 24:56Speaker 2: Yeah. That and true crime documentaries. It's all I watch
- 25:00Speaker 2: the holidays. So this this John Doe number two they
- 25:04Speaker 2: believe might have been a guy named Richard Lee gut three.
- 25:07Speaker 3: Yeah him the football games. I'm like, yeah, but so
- 25:09Speaker 3: is casting John Bennet.
- 25:10Speaker 2: So sorry, have you watched that?
- 25:12Speaker 3: I haven't. No, I can't.
- 25:13Speaker 2: I can't watch it. It's it doesn't make any fucking sense.
- 25:15Speaker 3: People are just saying every time someone described tries to
- 25:18Speaker 3: describe it to me and makes less sense.
- 25:19Speaker 2: What the press of it is. Yeah, I don't. I
- 25:22Speaker 2: still don't know what the premise is and I watched
- 25:25Speaker 2: a good twenty five minutes of it.
- 25:26Speaker 3: Yeah, I think apparent just people auditioning to be and
- 25:29Speaker 3: it's about the people that are auditioning and doesn't have
- 25:31Speaker 3: anything to do with him. Yeah, I don't know.
- 25:34Speaker 2: Maybe one of them will get murdered. I'll watch that.
- 25:37Speaker 2: So Richard Lee got three, he is that was the
- 25:41Speaker 2: head of the Aryan Republic Army and apparently very much
- 25:45Speaker 2: resembled Kenny Trent to do, so that that's who, according
- 25:49Speaker 2: to this theory, that's who authorities thought they had in
- 25:52Speaker 2: custody was Richard Lee got three. And where the where
- 25:57Speaker 2: things get weird is there's also a woman named Carol
- 26:00Speaker 2: Howe who lived in Ellowem City, and apparently there Ellowem
- 26:07Speaker 2: City had been infiltrated by the ATF to the point
- 26:11Speaker 2: that they may have known this bombing was going to happen.
- 26:15Speaker 2: And it's apparently Carol Howe who told her ATF handler
- 26:20Speaker 2: that this was apparently gonna happen. And I think that's
- 26:26Speaker 2: where part of the conspiracy comes in in that people there.
- 26:29Speaker 2: I think there's some sense that this might have been
- 26:32Speaker 2: one of those staying operations that the FBI loved a
- 26:36Speaker 2: pull where they would get someone right to the point
- 26:38Speaker 2: that they were going to bomb something like basically and
- 26:41Speaker 2: trap them and then pull the trigger at the last
- 26:44Speaker 2: minute and arrest them. Like this could have been something
- 26:46Speaker 2: that went wrong, like they knew.
- 26:49Speaker 3: To catch a predator type thing of domestic terrorists where
- 26:51Speaker 3: it's like, hey, come on into the kitchen, there's cookies,
- 26:53Speaker 3: and then it's like, actually, that's an ammonium nitrate. That's
- 26:56Speaker 3: a lie, now jump in.
- 26:58Speaker 2: Yeah, to catch a predator if the predator actually fucked
- 27:01Speaker 2: a kid, Yeah, basically what this would be.
- 27:04Speaker 3: But so it's just you know, one of the one
- 27:07Speaker 3: of the theories that Lucy didn't move the football quick enough.
- 27:10Speaker 3: Basically an illoh him say, I guess we should says.
- 27:14Speaker 3: It's kind of just seems like a like a barter
- 27:16Speaker 3: Town for mad Max type of lint trap for like
- 27:19Speaker 3: racist uh, kind of like right wing nuts.
- 27:23Speaker 2: Yeah, it's uh, it's just one of those compounds, those
- 27:28Speaker 2: militia compounds that we always hear about and you never see.
- 27:32Speaker 2: I've always wondered what would happen if you just stumbled
- 27:34Speaker 2: upon a militia compound, Like could I.
- 27:36Speaker 3: Could I walk up with a white flag and be
- 27:38Speaker 3: like I want to join.
- 27:39Speaker 2: Yeah, you know, you put some red shoelaces shoelaces in Yeah, yeah,
- 27:43Speaker 2: Like I'm a Nazi, now let me join. I've seen
- 27:47Speaker 2: green room. I can do this.
- 27:48Speaker 3: Or you got to chug a whole two liters of
- 27:50Speaker 3: faygo without fucking stopping. And if you can, then maybe
- 27:54Speaker 3: are what are the trials? You gotta go the They
- 27:56Speaker 3: have the monkey bars, the icist monkey bars. I presume
- 27:59Speaker 3: that's a big that's a militancy.
- 28:01Speaker 2: Yeah, monkey bars are a big part of military training.
- 28:03Speaker 3: Yeah, every time the tires.
- 28:05Speaker 2: The kneel down and shoot behind something. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 28:08Speaker 2: there's always that you run up to something.
- 28:10Speaker 3: I got to go like a Nazi decathlon in order
- 28:12Speaker 3: to pass the trials they did.
- 28:15Speaker 2: Speaking of Nazis, have a guy at Elowem City named
- 28:19Speaker 2: Andreas Strasmeyer aka Andy the German, and he did all
- 28:25Speaker 2: of the weapons training there. But people also think he
- 28:28Speaker 2: might have been linked to us in German intelligence.
- 28:32Speaker 3: And I read if you other people atually thought that
- 28:34Speaker 3: he was cut out of the first draft of the
- 28:36Speaker 3: screenplay for Inglorious Bastards. So there's a lot of different
- 28:39Speaker 3: conflicting theories.
- 28:41Speaker 2: This guy was only questioned by phone, so that leads
- 28:43Speaker 2: me to believe he was probably at least in some
- 28:46Speaker 2: way tied to intelligence.
- 28:50Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 28:50Speaker 3: Well, I mean, I can't imagine that if you're the
- 28:52Speaker 3: state of federal government and you know about a place
- 28:54Speaker 3: like Eloheem City and you're not going to try to
- 28:56Speaker 3: crack it in some capacity, like yeah, because that's that's
- 28:59Speaker 3: just a you know, a fucking that's like standing water
- 29:02Speaker 3: for mosquitoes, but for domestic terrorists. Yeah, yeah, exactly.
- 29:06Speaker 2: So that's one theory that there was another conspirator, and
- 29:10Speaker 2: I think that one's not that far fetched.
- 29:13Speaker 3: I didn't see a lot on who people thought it
- 29:15Speaker 3: actually might be. It seems like they keep this guy
- 29:18Speaker 3: and may have just gotten a oyscot free.
- 29:19Speaker 2: Yeah. Most people seem to think he's probably just gone forever.
- 29:24Speaker 2: I do think Mother Jones. That Mother Jones article that's
- 29:27Speaker 2: where we were pulling all of that from. It's an
- 29:31Speaker 2: article from two thousand and seven on Mother Jones called
- 29:35Speaker 2: the Search for John Doe Number two the story of
- 29:37Speaker 2: the Feds never told about the Oklahoma City bombing, and
- 29:41Speaker 2: I felt like they did a decent job of making
- 29:43Speaker 2: it seem like it was probably that Richard Lee Got
- 29:47Speaker 2: three guy.
- 29:48Speaker 3: Who owed the bank robber guy, Yeah, yeah, who.
- 29:51Speaker 2: At one point did start cooperating with the Feds. And
- 29:56Speaker 2: you'll never believe what happened to him. They found him
- 29:58Speaker 2: hanging in his cell. What that's weird if you can
- 30:03Speaker 2: believe it. So, uh, I guess we'll never know. So
- 30:07Speaker 2: he might have actually just.
- 30:08Speaker 3: This guy's sort of flamboyant. I was reading a few
- 30:11Speaker 3: of his noted for costumes. They did like Clinton and
- 30:14Speaker 3: Nixon masks, and they didn't Santa in an elf. On Christmas.
- 30:17Speaker 3: They had an Easter basket with a bronze pipe, not
- 30:20Speaker 3: a bronze a copper pipe bomb.
- 30:21Speaker 2: And it's yeah, they robbed a bank on Christmas and
- 30:24Speaker 2: then came back and put a bronze a bronze pipe
- 30:27Speaker 2: bomb at the same bank on Easter. It's like, that's great.
- 30:31Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, that's that's fucking yeah. I want to
- 30:33Speaker 3: see that movie Bonnie and Clyde. Shit. Yeah yeah, so yeah, I.
- 30:37Speaker 2: Mean, it would have been a cooler story if we
- 30:38Speaker 2: knew that guy was involved.
- 30:40Speaker 3: Yes, of witnesses at the scene of the Federal building
- 30:44Speaker 3: saw a man leaving wearing a U, and I think
- 30:47Speaker 3: I'm reading this correctly a ninja costume.
- 30:50Speaker 2: So the the other theory about Oklahoma City is that
- 30:55Speaker 2: there was a second bomb, And this one has always
- 31:00Speaker 2: been kind of near and dear to me because I
- 31:03Speaker 2: remember news footage or news coverage from because I was
- 31:08Speaker 2: this happened in ninety five, so I was like already
- 31:10Speaker 2: out of high school when this happened. I was like
- 31:13Speaker 2: eighteen or nineteen, So I remember news footage from when
- 31:18Speaker 2: this happened, and I remember seeing stories about a second
- 31:22Speaker 2: and third bomb. But as the years progressed, you just
- 31:27Speaker 2: sort of stopped hearing that about Oklahoma City and you
- 31:31Speaker 2: just kind of heard that it was one bomb. In
- 31:34Speaker 2: the documentary, they addressed this and they say it what
- 31:39Speaker 2: caused all the panic was like a test device that
- 31:43Speaker 2: the government would use in training exercises.
- 31:47Speaker 3: And in that case, I'm like, well, why is that there? Yeah,
- 31:50Speaker 3: like why is there a test? Like what wacky coincidence?
- 31:53Speaker 3: Were like We're going to run this you know, test simulation, Yeah,
- 31:56Speaker 3: next to and did that?
- 31:58Speaker 2: Did it?
- 31:58Speaker 3: Was it just a you know, a bunch of red
- 32:00Speaker 3: wires with a ticking digital clock that wasn't hooked up
- 32:03Speaker 3: to anything.
- 32:03Speaker 2: Yeah, they showed it, and it looked like just a
- 32:07Speaker 2: wooden box maybe the size of like it looked like
- 32:10Speaker 2: you could put a bowling ball in it. It was
- 32:12Speaker 2: about that size, which I don't know if that would
- 32:15Speaker 2: cause We're gonna listen to a video of one of
- 32:19Speaker 2: the news reports, and I don't know if that little
- 32:23Speaker 2: wooden box that they show in that documentary would have
- 32:25Speaker 2: caused the kind of panic that they're starting to learn.
- 32:29Speaker 4: About the succession or what someone obviously hoped would be
- 32:33Speaker 4: a succession of explosions. The first bomb that was in
- 32:36Speaker 4: the federal building did do off. It did the damage
- 32:38Speaker 4: that you see right there. The second explosive was found
- 32:42Speaker 4: and diffused. The third explosive that was found and they
- 32:45Speaker 4: are working on right now.
- 32:47Speaker 2: As we speak.
- 32:47Speaker 4: I understand both the second and third explosives, if you
- 32:51Speaker 4: could imagine this were larger.
- 32:53Speaker 2: See like, where did that information come from, the fact
- 32:57Speaker 2: that they were larger than the big ass bomb.
- 33:01Speaker 3: Yeah, there's a whole there's a whole moving truck with yeah,
- 33:03Speaker 3: you know, tons of raw.
- 33:04Speaker 4: Materials downtown Oklahoma City Federal Building. Two other explosive devices
- 33:08Speaker 4: were found and were not detonated, and they were larger.
- 33:11Speaker 2: Than the first count and this is yeah, this is
- 33:16Speaker 2: footage of people running and saying that they've been told
- 33:20Speaker 2: there's another bomb. If they were watching there, there was
- 33:22Speaker 2: a white pickup truck backing a trailer. End of the scene.
- 33:25Speaker 3: Here they're trying to move people out of the way
- 33:26Speaker 3: so they can get it in. Is this something? Is
- 33:29Speaker 3: this something that the authorities on the ground said, like, hey,
- 33:32Speaker 3: there's more bombs, just get out of here.
- 33:34Speaker 2: Yeah, it could have been that, like just get the
- 33:37Speaker 2: fuck away from us.
- 33:38Speaker 3: Yeah, that seems like something they might do where you
- 33:40Speaker 3: can deny it later like, oh, it was just a suspicious.
- 33:43Speaker 2: Van bomb squad folks will go in and they will
- 33:46Speaker 2: use that trailer. You have great fucking mullet on that
- 33:50Speaker 2: guy right really dates.
- 33:52Speaker 3: To foot populated area to try to do.
- 33:54Speaker 4: Something with The Justice Department is reporting that a second
- 33:57Speaker 4: explosive device has the.
- 34:00Speaker 3: Splode exploded in the front controlled demolition in the back.
- 34:04Speaker 4: Oklahoma City, and tell you in addition to that that,
- 34:10Speaker 4: in fact what we were told at the scene a
- 34:12Speaker 4: few minutes ago, was it.
- 34:13Speaker 3: In fact, two different.
- 34:14Speaker 4: Explosive devices were found in addition to the one that
- 34:17Speaker 4: went off.
- 34:17Speaker 3: So if I'm getting dis correct, two plus one is
- 34:23Speaker 3: three plus one three. This is the great thing about
- 34:28Speaker 3: when news has to report on limited information, yeah live,
- 34:32Speaker 3: is that they just have to restate the same thing
- 34:35Speaker 3: over and over again while people die in the background.
- 34:38Speaker 4: Was found on the east side of that building a
- 34:40Speaker 4: bomb squad.
- 34:41Speaker 2: See. It just seems weird to me that there's so much.
- 34:45Speaker 2: I mean, I guess someone could have been giving out
- 34:49Speaker 2: misinformation and that's.
- 34:51Speaker 3: Well, this is one device was activated, like this.
- 34:56Speaker 2: Is the governor talking right now.
- 34:58Speaker 3: Damage, Yeah, seems to be corroborated from multiple sources, is
- 35:02Speaker 3: what they're telling to seem people were told this and
- 35:07Speaker 3: this is nowhere in the official version of the story.
- 35:09Speaker 3: There's multiple bombs.
- 35:11Speaker 2: No, not anymore. Like when you watch that that documentary
- 35:14Speaker 2: about it, which really adheres to the original story. They
- 35:18Speaker 2: bring it up, but like I said, they just write
- 35:20Speaker 2: it off as the training.
- 35:23Speaker 3: That's what one of them was. What was their explanation
- 35:24Speaker 3: for the other one?
- 35:25Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, exactly. They don't really have one.
- 35:30Speaker 4: Injured because of the prisons of other uh bombs in
- 35:33Speaker 4: the area. I just took a look down the street
- 35:36Speaker 4: tomorrow building again, I see another bomb truck going. So
- 35:39Speaker 4: apparently they're going to try to get out that third
- 35:41Speaker 4: bomb that's been talked about a.
- 35:42Speaker 2: Lot of crazy. Yeah, this is for this is a
- 35:45Speaker 2: super cut.
- 35:45Speaker 3: I didn't realize the first of just multiple different news
- 35:48Speaker 3: channels because.
- 35:49Speaker 2: Yeahstand wars water stamp. Oh no, I feel dirty now,
- 35:58Speaker 2: I know.
- 35:58Speaker 3: That's always the thing about this. You, well, this is
- 36:00Speaker 3: really interesting. You're like, oh, this is why we hate
- 36:02Speaker 3: the Jews dot org and be like, oh fuck, okay,
- 36:04Speaker 3: Well I don't really know what they have to say
- 36:05Speaker 3: about nuclear war on Mars, but I don't know if
- 36:07Speaker 3: I need to read it.
- 36:09Speaker 4: Some good works experts and the explosive sniffing dogs.
- 36:14Speaker 2: Yeah, so this is this is almost over.
- 36:17Speaker 3: But the the explosive sniffing dogs which slipped two additional
- 36:22Speaker 3: bombs in additional little the one which was detonated earlier.
- 36:24Speaker 3: You're making a total of three bombs.
- 36:26Speaker 2: Total of three bombs. One was hiding in my mustache.
- 36:31Speaker 2: That mustache is amazing.
- 36:32Speaker 3: It's a great it's a great comment for an audio medium.
- 36:36Speaker 2: We do what we can. I mean, we were just
- 36:38Speaker 2: watching videos for three minutes. It's fine. Uh So, Yeah,
- 36:43Speaker 2: the additional explosives are a theory that I mean, it's
- 36:50Speaker 2: out there. People believe it and it's because of stuff
- 36:52Speaker 2: like that. But it's it's also one of those situations
- 36:56Speaker 2: like you were talking about, where you go look at
- 36:58Speaker 2: the official source and it's just some dude.
- 37:02Speaker 3: Yeah, like this website is hardcore geo cities.
- 37:06Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 37:06Speaker 3: Yeah, Like I should not run two websites that look
- 37:10Speaker 3: aesthetically much better than this. I am not conducting analysis
- 37:16Speaker 3: of audio files from a lawyer's dictaphone blocks away that
- 37:20Speaker 3: indicate multiple blasts. I have a humble podcast about isis.
- 37:25Speaker 2: But this guy is.
- 37:27Speaker 3: Profoundly badly formatted. A bevy of different fonts and sizes.
- 37:31Speaker 2: Yeah, like it's called what really Happened dot com?
- 37:34Speaker 3: Yeah, web one point zero give banners to the side
- 37:37Speaker 3: of the page advertising friends and sponsors. It does raise
- 37:41Speaker 3: a few interesting points.
- 37:43Speaker 2: Yeah, he does. He mentions the Timothy McVeigh was dry
- 37:48Speaker 2: at the U haul thing. How did he get there?
- 37:50Speaker 2: Which I think an umbrella is a pretty good guess
- 37:55Speaker 2: as to how that happened.
- 37:57Speaker 3: Umbrella cab rain also start and stops.
- 38:00Speaker 2: Yeah, you know, could have been anything. He does have
- 38:03Speaker 2: a picture of a rider truck a few days before
- 38:07Speaker 2: that was allegedly just kind of stored at an army compound.
- 38:12Speaker 2: Near Oklahoma City.
- 38:14Speaker 3: See this to me is a little even I'm not
- 38:19Speaker 3: a little more credible, a little less credible even than
- 38:21Speaker 3: the way was he dry at the U haul place,
- 38:24Speaker 3: because I imagine the Army also has to move shit,
- 38:26Speaker 3: and a lot of it is probably not you know,
- 38:28Speaker 3: fucking hydrogen bombs and you know, green tarp covered caravans.
- 38:32Speaker 3: It's probably just office supplies and shit. And also, I
- 38:35Speaker 3: mean they had the VEN number from the axle of
- 38:37Speaker 3: the truck at the at the side of the federal building,
- 38:41Speaker 3: So I did this is less interesting to me.
- 38:43Speaker 2: Well, not to debunky ride on the spot, but I
- 38:46Speaker 2: did watch an episode of Homeland recently where a truck
- 38:51Speaker 2: bomb goes off and they find out that the government
- 38:55Speaker 2: agency had swapped in a different van and they took
- 38:59Speaker 2: the original van. Probably not what happened here, but you
- 39:03Speaker 2: never know. Like this, this is one of those things
- 39:06Speaker 2: where it's like, we're never gonna confirm this. Yeah, it's
- 39:09Speaker 2: just decades old picture from the that was originally uploaded
- 39:14Speaker 2: to the Internet, so it's got.
- 39:16Speaker 3: Probably back in the BBS boards to days.
- 39:18Speaker 2: It's got that late nineties, early two thousand internet sheen
- 39:22Speaker 2: of Yeah, it's got the terrible, real resolution.
- 39:26Speaker 3: Pixelated fucking steez to it. I do miss seeing pictures
- 39:30Speaker 3: like that.
- 39:31Speaker 2: So so this guy goes through on what Really Happened
- 39:35Speaker 2: dot com. He goes through a bunch of sound files.
- 39:38Speaker 2: Should we listen to one just to hear?
- 39:40Speaker 3: Yeah, just the building because I got to imagine it
- 39:42Speaker 3: just sounds like static.
- 39:43Speaker 2: Yeah, attorneys for state and first the representatives just sounded
- 39:55Speaker 2: like it dropped something. Yeah.
- 39:57Speaker 3: No, that's from a lawyer's dictaphone.
- 39:59Speaker 2: Yeah, by building a few blocks away, and they're what
- 40:04Speaker 2: this guy's comparing is basically, he's trying to prove that
- 40:08Speaker 2: there were two blasts. Yeah.
- 40:11Speaker 3: But what he's extrapolating from this incredibly low res piece
- 40:14Speaker 3: of audio from technology from nineteen ninety four is is,
- 40:20Speaker 3: I don't want to say outlandish, because I'm not, like,
- 40:22Speaker 3: you know, sonic expert by any stretch of the imagination.
- 40:25Speaker 3: But he's saying that there's multiple, you know, spikes that
- 40:29Speaker 3: would indicate like this is before this happened, and then
- 40:31Speaker 3: the timelines don't match up.
- 40:33Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah, and this is a thing. What's weird to
- 40:37Speaker 2: meet We'll talk about it a lot more on the
- 40:39Speaker 2: next episode, But what's weird to me about stuff like
- 40:43Speaker 2: this is when it's the person who's putting forth the
- 40:47Speaker 2: conspiracy theory, we're really quick to be like, oh, what's
- 40:51Speaker 2: your source? Like where are you getting that from? But
- 40:54Speaker 2: when someone debunks something, we're just like all right that
- 40:58Speaker 2: I trust you.
- 40:59Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 41:00Speaker 2: People will like if you're trying to prove a point
- 41:02Speaker 2: and you send someone a link to what really happened,
- 41:05Speaker 2: they'll be like, what the fuck are you doing?
- 41:06Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 41:07Speaker 2: Yeah, uses that for a source?
- 41:08Speaker 3: I really think, you know, it's it is difficult to
- 41:12Speaker 3: separate the chef if they just had like someone to
- 41:15Speaker 3: help with the optics. Yeah, a little bit, you know,
- 41:18Speaker 3: because people like you know that the skeptics, for for
- 41:21Speaker 3: lack of a better word, are all they all come
- 41:23Speaker 3: across very sharp and reasoned and presented very well. But
- 41:27Speaker 3: it's what is it about this that always lends itself
- 41:30Speaker 3: to the hand coded HTML?
- 41:33Speaker 2: Yeah? On both sides. Yeah, it's like no one's credible. No,
- 41:36Speaker 2: Like I found I found a lot of that on
- 41:40Speaker 2: this episode, just trying to find one. And we did
- 41:43Speaker 2: find the mother Jones article that was it was interesting
- 41:46Speaker 2: to find, like a.
- 41:47Speaker 3: Well, this is also kind of a kind of a
- 41:49Speaker 3: throwback conspiracy.
- 41:51Speaker 2: Yeah, you know that's true. So vintage, Yeah, we're gonna
- 41:55Speaker 2: flip this conspiracy on eBay ter.
- 41:57Speaker 3: Sell the Buffalo Exchange fucking like thembing of the Buffalo Exchange.
- 42:04Speaker 2: Next week on the Unnamed fucking Conspiracy Theory Show. So
- 42:10Speaker 2: uh yeah, it's I feel like the extra explosives thing
- 42:14Speaker 2: is compelling, but we're never ever, ever ever gonna prove
- 42:19Speaker 2: it because like the bombs would be gone.
- 42:23Speaker 3: Well that's now this sort of ties into the one
- 42:26Speaker 3: of the last things, which is the one of the
- 42:28Speaker 3: first responders right right.
- 42:30Speaker 2: There was a first responder named Terry Yiki who was
- 42:33Speaker 2: a I believe he was a cop or a firefighter.
- 42:36Speaker 2: You know, it sounds like a like.
- 42:37Speaker 3: A South Park character that runs a Chinese food restaurant,
- 42:40Speaker 3: like Terry Yiky, Terry Yucky.
- 42:44Speaker 2: Yeah, And this guy was one of the first people
- 42:46Speaker 2: on the scene at when the bomb went off, and
- 42:50Speaker 2: he reported all kinds of weird things, like uh, one
- 42:53Speaker 2: of the things he reported was that the ATF was
- 42:56Speaker 2: already there when the bomb went off, like, which I
- 43:00Speaker 2: think is where there's some sense, like I said that
- 43:04Speaker 2: this was maybe like a sting operation or something that
- 43:08Speaker 2: like they were maybe trying to catch these two doing
- 43:11Speaker 2: something in the time and got fucked up. Yeah, and
- 43:13Speaker 2: the bomb actually went off.
- 43:14Speaker 3: Oh, like they had, you know, whatever, their connection in
- 43:17Speaker 3: Olohim City or who you know, someone had piece together
- 43:20Speaker 3: these transactions and linked them to these dudes and what
- 43:22Speaker 3: they're trying to do and then again didn't move the
- 43:25Speaker 3: football quick enough. As part of the theory, there's also
- 43:27Speaker 3: them like covering up the wreckage with black plastic. Yeah, yeah,
- 43:32Speaker 3: just to like just and weird, not like a gigantic tarp,
- 43:35Speaker 3: but like little individual pieces to cover it, like little
- 43:38Speaker 3: cracks and shit like that, which is very odd.
- 43:40Speaker 2: Yeah, it was all really strange. And this Terry Yeeky,
- 43:44Speaker 2: he was there that day and he gets home and
- 43:47Speaker 2: tells his wife that it's not what they're saying it is.
- 43:51Speaker 2: And from there he goes on this mission basically trying
- 43:55Speaker 2: to uncover all this evidence about Oklahoma City. Yeah.
- 43:58Speaker 3: He's like making trips in his days offe in his
- 44:00Speaker 3: personal vehicle.
- 44:01Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, doing all this investigative work. And his wife
- 44:06Speaker 2: claims at the time of his death he was on
- 44:08Speaker 2: his way to deliver information to someone. But I almost
- 44:12Speaker 2: did an article about this. I might still do it someday.
- 44:14Speaker 2: I was going to do an article about suicides that
- 44:17Speaker 2: are definitely murder.
- 44:18Speaker 3: Oh, like Vince Foster, Yeah, yeah, and Terry Yeeky. His
- 44:23Speaker 3: this one is so opaquely. Yeah.
- 44:26Speaker 2: He slid his wrists in his vehicle and then walks
- 44:31Speaker 2: a mile through rough terrain, which includes climbing a fence
- 44:35Speaker 2: and crossing a creek to get to a spot in
- 44:38Speaker 2: the forest grandmother's house, Yeah, where he finally shoots himself
- 44:42Speaker 2: in the head with a gun that no one could
- 44:46Speaker 2: find until the FBI showed up in a helicopter and
- 44:50Speaker 2: found it fifty feet away from him.
- 44:52Speaker 3: Well, they just don't have the investigative acumen of the
- 44:55Speaker 3: Federal bur of investigator. I mean, they're just they're the
- 44:57Speaker 3: best what they do. Yeah, Like what the it really
- 45:00Speaker 3: is like on the Dave Chappelle like sprinkle some crack
- 45:02Speaker 3: on him level of Oh yeah, for sure deviousness. Yeah,
- 45:05Speaker 3: and he has like handcuff imprints on his wrists.
- 45:08Speaker 2: And all that shit. Yeah, everything about it's really strange,
- 45:12Speaker 2: But it's it's one of those stories, you know, the
- 45:15Speaker 2: same as the first guy we talked about, Kenny whatever
- 45:19Speaker 2: the fuck that weird last name was. But that one, too,
- 45:23Speaker 2: is a really weird suicide that when you look into
- 45:27Speaker 2: it more probably as a murder.
- 45:29Speaker 3: Well yeah that one and the and the bank robber guy,
- 45:31Speaker 3: yeah you think was John Denver two? Yeah, there's three
- 45:34Speaker 3: of these. Yeah, And and people talk about what's the
- 45:38Speaker 3: is the motivation just so that the American people have
- 45:40Speaker 3: closure and a nice tidy wrap up in faith in
- 45:42Speaker 3: our institutions? Do you think for this conspiracy?
- 45:46Speaker 2: Yeah, I think maybe the embarrassment of knowing that there
- 45:50Speaker 2: was a second person who did it that they never caught. Yeah,
- 45:53Speaker 2: I don't think the government would want that to get out.
- 45:56Speaker 3: To bad look.
- 45:57Speaker 2: Yeah, as the kids say, very bad look. And you know,
- 46:01Speaker 2: could be that they were involved, who knows, yeah.
- 46:04Speaker 3: Or I mean the thing is like uh some some
- 46:07Speaker 3: there was some legislation passed after this, So I suppose
- 46:11Speaker 3: an extreme cynic could say that this was you know,
- 46:14Speaker 3: Clinton trying to pass that death penalty reform that he
- 46:16Speaker 3: passed and some of these things that are like seen
- 46:19Speaker 3: as precursors to the Patriot Act. Yeah, But then I
- 46:22Speaker 3: mean there is I mean the possible justification that you know,
- 46:25Speaker 3: similar to the JFK murder, where they're just like, we
- 46:28Speaker 3: just need a tidy ending for this so people can
- 46:30Speaker 3: know that fucking you know, we get the job done.
- 46:34Speaker 3: This is not gonna happen again. Gotta get it.
- 46:36Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, I think it's probably more of that.
- 46:40Speaker 3: Yeah, that's what That's what makes sense to me. If
- 46:42Speaker 3: there is any veracity any of this, Yeah, yeah.
- 46:44Speaker 2: I don't. I don't like to believe that it would
- 46:47Speaker 2: have been some sort of I definitely don't want to
- 46:50Speaker 2: believe it was an inside operation. Yeah, that's always terrifying.
- 46:53Speaker 2: I mean if it was some sort of sting that
- 46:55Speaker 2: they fucked up, I could live with that.
- 46:57Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, I I you know, we obviously would
- 47:00Speaker 3: be thrilled. But I mean if they just yeah, you know,
- 47:02Speaker 3: didn't time it right when saw the fuse was you know,
- 47:05Speaker 3: fucking taken, and they didn't left the squirty flower and
- 47:08Speaker 3: the fucking you know, black car with the rest of
- 47:11Speaker 3: the side spy supplies, Like.
- 47:12Speaker 2: Okay, that's you know, that's fine, you goofed it. Yeah,
- 47:16Speaker 2: it happens, but yeah, who knows. It's a weird one tho.
- 47:20Speaker 3: It is weird. I mean, I didn't know that there's
- 47:22Speaker 3: this much controversy about this. I thought I was pretty
- 47:24Speaker 3: much cut and dry. Timothy McVay did it.
- 47:26Speaker 2: Yeah, there's a there's a lot of weird details around
- 47:29Speaker 2: this one.
- 47:30Speaker 3: Interesting also that he never came forward about another conspirator.
- 47:34Speaker 2: Yeah, in that In that same documentary that's on Netflix
- 47:37Speaker 2: right now, there's an interview with him at the end.
- 47:40Speaker 3: I watched some of that, the sixty minutes one, No, the.
- 47:44Speaker 2: One that's on there's one on Netflix right now.
- 47:46Speaker 3: Okay, well, there's like an interview with the guy from
- 47:49Speaker 3: sixty minutes was when he's like thirty three.
- 47:51Speaker 2: Oh yeah, yeah yeah, and they asked him about additional
- 47:55Speaker 2: conspirators and he was like, it would be scary if
- 47:59Speaker 2: there because that would mean you never caught someone else,
- 48:02Speaker 2: But also wouldn't it be scary if I just did
- 48:04Speaker 2: it by myself? And that's kind of how he leaves it.
- 48:07Speaker 3: What a menacing answer.
- 48:09Speaker 2: Yeah, it's like, yes, it's scary, way.
- 48:14Speaker 3: Yeah, oh my god. Yeah, fucking students got in some
- 48:18Speaker 3: of the some of the most piercing creep eyes you'll
- 48:20Speaker 3: ever see.
- 48:21Speaker 2: Oh yeah, for sure. Yeah, he's he's a goddamn nightmare,
- 48:24Speaker 2: but not anymore. He's dead now.
- 48:26Speaker 3: Hey, hey.
- 48:29Speaker 2: It's patriotic bird.
- 48:30Speaker 3: Oh okay, I thought it was a Wilhelm scream.
- 48:34Speaker 2: It was a red tailed hawk. Oh was it the
- 48:36Speaker 2: official eagle of podcasts? Because everyone calls that an eagle? Scream?
- 48:40Speaker 3: Oh okay, as soon as you do.
- 48:42Speaker 2: Some asshole goes he needs a red hawk.
- 48:45Speaker 3: That's what a Tobias from Animors was permanently trapped as
- 48:48Speaker 3: so oh big fan of the red tailed Hawk. Nice
- 48:51Speaker 3: and also young adult fiction from the late nineties that
- 48:53Speaker 3: was available in every children's library.
- 48:56Speaker 2: Who's not into that? Uh, we should get out of here.
- 48:59Speaker 2: This was this was this was fun. Yeah. I hope
- 49:02Speaker 2: you good.
- 49:03Speaker 3: I definitely learned something. I hope you guys learned something.
