- 0:05Speaker 1: Drama, Darling, Drama, Darling, drama, Darling.
- 0:20Speaker 2: Good morning, afternoon and evening, darlings. It is October seventeenth,
- 0:25Speaker 2: it is Thursday, and today's Salt Lake City Day for
- 0:28Speaker 2: a recap. And it feels good because I've got two ladies.
- 0:33Speaker 2: I'm flanked by two brunettes, if you will. First of all,
- 0:36Speaker 2: of Emily Deesis is here. Of course, I ams hello.
- 0:41Speaker 3: How are thank you?
- 0:42Speaker 1: How are they?
- 0:43Speaker 3: I'm well, I'm great.
- 0:45Speaker 2: Oh wow, pump it up, pump she's pumping it up.
- 0:47Speaker 2: And then over on my other side, I have Alisa Rosen,
- 0:50Speaker 2: who is back. Eliza. What's up lady? Hi darlings, Hi darlings,
- 0:55Speaker 2: Hello darlings. Oh wait, have you heard this drama Darling?
- 1:00Speaker 3: I love it?
- 1:01Speaker 1: Thank you, Luanne.
- 1:02Speaker 2: I mean yeah, he's with us. She's gonna be with
- 1:04Speaker 2: us always, in cabaret and in spirit. And of course
- 1:09Speaker 2: we've got the amazing Eliza Rosen, who is an incredible
- 1:13Speaker 2: producer of ay Our Media, her own company, and she
- 1:17Speaker 2: does tons of podcasts, some of which I think you
- 1:20Speaker 2: darlings will are gonna want to hear about. So, Alisa,
- 1:24Speaker 2: what do you got cooking over there in your podcast world?
- 1:27Speaker 3: Well?
- 1:28Speaker 1: We've got a lot.
- 1:29Speaker 4: So today we are recording this Thursday, and I have
- 1:34Speaker 4: Queen of the Con season six, which is a crazy
- 1:38Speaker 4: story about a shoplifting ring called the California Girls, and
- 1:42Speaker 4: it was done. It's kind of like a pyramid with
- 1:46Speaker 4: one queen Bee at the top and then she's got
- 1:48Speaker 4: like all her minions underneath her basically shoplifting, bringing back
- 1:52Speaker 4: goods selling them on Amazon. But in California, you know,
- 1:55Speaker 4: there's a new law now that you basically won't get
- 1:57Speaker 4: busted if you. I shouldn't announce this to the dark.
- 2:00Speaker 4: I don't know if they're criminal, if they're criminally minded,
- 2:02Speaker 4: but feel free to go shopping straight for one thousand
- 2:06Speaker 4: dollars for free and you won't get busted. It's crazy
- 2:09Speaker 4: new lot, and it's it's it's mayhem. It's Mayhem in this.
- 2:12Speaker 2: So you can go into a store, fill your cart
- 2:16Speaker 2: up and you just got to make sure it's one
- 2:19Speaker 2: thousand or under, and then you can leave and no
- 2:22Speaker 2: one will say anything.
- 2:23Speaker 4: Well, no they will, and they can bust you, but
- 2:25Speaker 4: they ultimately won't prosecute you.
- 2:27Speaker 1: That's the thing. So it's really really weird.
- 2:31Speaker 4: So that's really great where that's episode seven drops today,
- 2:36Speaker 4: and then we've got My Mom's Murder, which is on audible.
- 2:40Speaker 4: I really recommend if you don't have audible to do
- 2:42Speaker 4: like a free trial or a short trial, just to
- 2:44Speaker 4: listen to it because it's really.
- 2:46Speaker 5: I have it and I'm starting it today.
- 2:49Speaker 3: Oh well, I'm excited.
- 2:51Speaker 1: I can't believe you didn't listen this morning.
- 2:52Speaker 4: In preparation for this, Emily Jesus, Jesus, I've had a
- 2:56Speaker 4: shoplift first Nord Streams, then My Mom's Murder. Come on, yeah,
- 3:04Speaker 4: my mom, My mom, who just turned eighty, called me
- 3:07Speaker 4: yesterday in the middle of the day, which she never does.
- 3:08Speaker 1: She knows out marking, and she's like, this is.
- 3:11Speaker 4: The best one you've ever done, and it's no way
- 3:13Speaker 4: so professional because.
- 3:15Speaker 1: You have an actress reading it, Chloe Grace Moretz.
- 3:17Speaker 4: And I'm like, mom, no, it's not an actress reading it.
- 3:21Speaker 4: She's executive producing it. But it's a real person reading
- 3:25Speaker 4: it like it's her story. And she's like, oh, that
- 3:27Speaker 4: took about ten minutes to straight.
- 3:29Speaker 2: Sure, you gotta you know, you have to translate, and
- 3:31Speaker 2: good for her, she kept us said I was She
- 3:34Speaker 2: knew the names of like the players, which let me.
- 3:36Speaker 1: Tell you it's not that easy to keep trying.
- 3:37Speaker 4: Phenomenal Mom, Yeah, I was really because you need a guide.
- 3:40Speaker 4: Tell them they need a guide. And on the.
- 3:42Speaker 1: App, I'm like, mom, trust me, yeah, I wish.
- 3:45Speaker 2: She probably has great ideas. So let's hear her out.
- 3:50Speaker 1: Listen.
- 3:50Speaker 4: She was, she was a corporate executive for a long time.
- 3:54Speaker 4: She knows what's up. And as she said, tell Lauren
- 3:56Speaker 4: to say, I'm a tough critic. So she's a tough critic,
- 3:59Speaker 4: so I I do. I think what's great about this
- 4:01Speaker 4: one is that it's extremely personal. The bottom line is
- 4:06Speaker 4: that Lauren, who is the host and producer of It
- 4:10Speaker 4: with Me, her.
- 4:11Speaker 1: Mom died when she was eighteen months and she grew up.
- 4:14Speaker 4: She was adopted by her mom's sister, her aunt, and
- 4:16Speaker 4: her boyfriend who became her father, and she was told
- 4:20Speaker 4: her whole life that her mom died of heart failure.
- 4:22Speaker 4: And then in the middle of the pandemic, like right
- 4:24Speaker 4: when the pandemic started, this woman reaches out to her
- 4:27Speaker 4: randomly on Facebook and says, your mom was murdered, and
- 4:30Speaker 4: Lauren's like, I'm sorry, who are you what? I was
- 4:32Speaker 4: your mom's best friend. She didn't die of natural causes
- 4:35Speaker 4: she was murdered. So Lauren, who's just like a regular
- 4:38Speaker 4: Rhode Island girl, this all happens a Rhode Island begins
- 4:42Speaker 4: an investigation into how her mom died, and now she's
- 4:46Speaker 4: four years into it, and it is it's one of
- 4:49Speaker 4: those we're going to do a scripted series which was
- 4:51Speaker 4: announced with Chloe gris Moretz, which we're really excited about
- 4:54Speaker 4: with MGM.
- 4:55Speaker 1: But it's almost like it is like it's.
- 4:58Speaker 4: Kind of like the characters are so low, larger than life,
- 5:00Speaker 4: and the antagonist is unbelievable out essentral casting truly, but
- 5:05Speaker 4: she's a real person and it kind of becomes a
- 5:07Speaker 4: catch me if you can with.
- 5:08Speaker 1: That woman and Lauren.
- 5:10Speaker 4: And then Lauren just becomes this like unbelievable vigilante for
- 5:14Speaker 4: justice and she passes laws and gets funding for a
- 5:18Speaker 4: cold case unit in Rhode Island.
- 5:19Speaker 1: Like she's just an amazing human being and.
- 5:23Speaker 4: It's very personal and she gets really emotional at points,
- 5:26Speaker 4: so it kind of has it all like it's true crime,
- 5:28Speaker 4: but it's also like a real story. She's only thirty two,
- 5:31Speaker 4: so she's young, and I highly recommend it. I think
- 5:34Speaker 4: it's incredibly gripping and has some really really crazy twists
- 5:38Speaker 4: and turns too.
- 5:39Speaker 2: Wow, and that's that's my mom's murder.
- 5:43Speaker 1: It's my mom's murder, not yeah my mom, my mom,
- 5:49Speaker 1: Chloe Grace Moretz's mom my.
- 5:52Speaker 3: Mom.
- 5:53Speaker 1: So that I will say.
- 5:54Speaker 5: It's got great ratings already and it just dropped.
- 5:59Speaker 1: Wow, thank you. Yeah, doing really well. We had one
- 6:01Speaker 1: bad rating by a family member that we can't prove
- 6:03Speaker 1: for sure, but I can't take it off. So that's
- 6:06Speaker 1: the only reason it's not perfect.
- 6:08Speaker 2: Listen, if I had a dime every time I fays
- 6:10Speaker 2: Stat gave me a bad review, I would be right.
- 6:14Speaker 1: You can't trust him. But yeah, hilarious.
- 6:18Speaker 2: So that's my mom's murder.
- 6:19Speaker 3: Of my mom's murder.
- 6:20Speaker 2: And and yeah we've heard the third, my third.
- 6:26Speaker 1: Well this is interesting, Okay.
- 6:27Speaker 4: So it's called first in fright, so it's it's put
- 6:30Speaker 4: out by the North Carolina Visitors Bureau. Now, the thing
- 6:32Speaker 4: is is that for those of you history buffs, North
- 6:35Speaker 4: Carolina is first in flight because the Orville brothers are
- 6:39Speaker 4: the ones that created the flying the airplane and flying
- 6:42Speaker 4: machine flying machine, So thank you, I'll be taking a
- 6:48Speaker 4: flying machine tomorrow. So they so this is a paranor
- 6:51Speaker 4: so little do you know, or maybe you do know.
- 6:53Speaker 4: North Carolina is probably the most haunted state in the country.
- 6:57Speaker 4: And of those of you are into paranormal, I know,
- 6:59Speaker 4: I meaning it's actually like, it's really fun. We got
- 7:06Speaker 4: local storytellers to tell stories of real things.
- 7:10Speaker 1: That happened to people. We got real people to tell stories.
- 7:13Speaker 4: And then we have a narrator from North Carolina who's
- 7:15Speaker 4: really amazing, Grace. She does every podcast fine for sure
- 7:20Speaker 4: podcast it's on a Southern accent. So the thing with
- 7:23Speaker 4: that is that the first four step first four episodes
- 7:26Speaker 4: dropped in September, and we were really excited to drop
- 7:30Speaker 4: the second batch of four. We did eight total, but
- 7:33Speaker 4: then the hurricanes happened and just decimated the state. As
- 7:36Speaker 4: you guys know, it was. It's been a horror show
- 7:38Speaker 4: in North Carolina. So they are focusing on that, and
- 7:41Speaker 4: they didn't want to do like paid advertising and kind
- 7:43Speaker 4: of be like, hey, what about our paranormal podcast, which
- 7:46Speaker 4: seems kind of small in the face of what they're
- 7:48Speaker 4: dealing with now, So look out for that, subscribe to it,
- 7:51Speaker 4: and when the second four drop, I will post that
- 7:55Speaker 4: on my Instagram. And then the last one I'm sorry, Wait.
- 7:58Speaker 1: There's four. There's four.
- 8:00Speaker 2: Oh my god, dang.
- 8:01Speaker 1: Girl, Yes you're working.
- 8:05Speaker 4: Last, but definitely not least with our queen Amy Phillips
- 8:09Speaker 4: doing a starring role in episode four is the Murder
- 8:11Speaker 4: Year season two.
- 8:13Speaker 1: So so Amy killed it. She had a harrowing role.
- 8:18Speaker 2: Literally killed it. I killed.
- 8:21Speaker 1: Spoiler maybe I did. Oh yeah, but maybe she did. True.
- 8:25Speaker 1: So it's a totally fictional story.
- 8:27Speaker 4: You can find it in fictional podcasts wherever you get
- 8:30Speaker 4: your podcasts. And it's super I know it sounds it's
- 8:33Speaker 4: weird to say it's super fun because it's about a
- 8:35Speaker 4: serial killer terrorizing a coastal uh, California community, But it's
- 8:40Speaker 4: because it's not real you can say that. And so
- 8:42Speaker 4: because it's set in the eighties, and that's like the
- 8:44Speaker 4: whole conceit of the podcast is like we pick a decade.
- 8:46Speaker 1: I'm sorry, this one's set in the nineties.
- 8:48Speaker 5: My bad.
- 8:49Speaker 4: We had Erica Laniac from Baywatch narrated. She was really
- 8:53Speaker 4: really great. Yeah, and she's such a doll. Loved working
- 8:56Speaker 4: with her. And then yeah, Amy, I used, you know,
- 8:59Speaker 4: a really great voice.
- 9:00Speaker 1: Actors actually my main guy. Just a fun fact for you, darlings.
- 9:06Speaker 4: My main guy, Tom Virtue, who doesn't use social media,
- 9:09Speaker 4: so I couldn't tag him. I'm watched rewatching The Comeback,
- 9:12Speaker 4: my favorite show ever, and all of a sudden, I
- 9:15Speaker 4: see Tom Virtue in the credits and I'm like, my
- 9:17Speaker 4: Tom Virtue. And it turns out he's the stage manager
- 9:20Speaker 4: of Room and Board in the Comeback.
- 9:23Speaker 1: So I'm like, Tom, are you kidding me right now
- 9:25Speaker 1: that you're in the Comeback?
- 9:26Speaker 5: You know?
- 9:27Speaker 1: And he looks different twenty years ago, I know, and
- 9:29Speaker 1: he's like it was a bloss working with Lisa Kudroel.
- 9:32Speaker 2: First of us.
- 9:35Speaker 4: Shout out to Tom Virtue. He can literally do anything.
- 9:37Speaker 4: He's been in a few of my shows. So anyway,
- 9:39Speaker 4: that's all the promotion for me today.
- 9:40Speaker 2: Girls, Wow, you know we hear drama darling love a
- 9:44Speaker 2: coastal chic murder fictional story. So run don't walk over
- 9:50Speaker 2: to The Murder Years, especially episode two with me and
- 9:54Speaker 2: you get to four or four? Oh sorry I wrote
- 9:57Speaker 2: down here they.
- 9:59Speaker 1: Have to watch.
- 9:59Speaker 4: They have to listen to at least four now, okay,
- 10:02Speaker 4: to just listen to all four and then you can stop.
- 10:05Speaker 2: No, I'm kidding, you can listen and then you'll get
- 10:11Speaker 2: a sneak peek into my dramatic acting darling. That prepared
- 10:14Speaker 2: me classically trained at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts
- 10:18Speaker 2: for this role. So fay, well, this is so exciting.
- 10:27Speaker 2: A Lisa, you never cease to cease to amaze me
- 10:31Speaker 2: with the work.
- 10:32Speaker 5: Stop producing podcast, You never ceased to stop.
- 10:37Speaker 2: You never wait, which one is it?
- 10:38Speaker 3: We never cease to I can't say.
- 10:43Speaker 2: You never to dissst me, and that's what I appreciate
- 10:47Speaker 2: about you.
- 10:49Speaker 1: You're disgusting.
- 10:51Speaker 3: Than you.
- 10:52Speaker 1: I have one friend who speaks exactly like Tamra.
- 10:55Speaker 4: It's the craziest thing. There's like two people on earth
- 10:57Speaker 4: to talk in that exact way from where she's from, well,
- 11:02Speaker 4: not where Towner's from is in Tamra from California. She's
- 11:05Speaker 4: from like the border of Ohio and Pennsylvania.
- 11:08Speaker 2: It's weird, totally disgusting. Well, excuse me. I'm so excited
- 11:16Speaker 2: that we get to do this together because you guys
- 11:18Speaker 2: have never actually met before, but you've heard about each
- 11:21Speaker 2: other and so this is very cool. So, darlings, without
- 11:25Speaker 2: further ado, let's get into our Salt Lake City recap.
- 11:28Speaker 5: Obba duh.
- 11:31Speaker 2: We are in Salt Lake thank goodness the music bringing
- 11:35Speaker 2: us in and out of salt caves and one on
- 11:39Speaker 2: ones skiing an unfortunate scene with Jared Osmond. You know
- 11:44Speaker 2: we're there, so well, why don't we start with the
- 11:51Speaker 2: most powerful part of the entire episode, which is bron
- 11:55Speaker 2: Winn's story, but more specifically her daughter's story. What were
- 11:59Speaker 2: you going to.
- 11:59Speaker 5: Say when Whitney added a K through the end of wrong,
- 12:03Speaker 5: I thought that.
- 12:05Speaker 2: Yeah, she takes like law loss, so everything has a
- 12:10Speaker 2: case at the you know, every I g oh ronk.
- 12:15Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah, runk Whitney, Oh my god, but yes, the
- 12:23Speaker 6: second most important thing exact that was yeah, I have
- 12:26Speaker 6: to say for me, for me that what I was
- 12:30Speaker 6: riveted and I clocked it in my head.
- 12:34Speaker 4: This is one of the best scenes I think I've
- 12:36Speaker 4: ever seen in Housewives period because it was so real.
- 12:40Speaker 1: Whenever there's scenes with kids.
- 12:43Speaker 4: Not whatever, but ninety percent of the time, it's such
- 12:45Speaker 4: a breath of fresh air because it's not produced like
- 12:48Speaker 4: I thought that scene sorry to wander over to OC
- 12:50Speaker 4: For a second, I thought that scene was produced with
- 12:52Speaker 4: Jem Pajonti and her son where he says I want
- 12:55Speaker 4: to live a dad, and then I heard her on
- 12:56Speaker 4: Jeff Lewis saying that she had no idea.
- 13:00Speaker 1: Yeah, she was totally blindsided by him, saying that I.
- 13:03Speaker 2: Know would have thought chills, chills. We thought she reenacted
- 13:06Speaker 2: that too. Then they talked about it before, but then oh.
- 13:09Speaker 4: Wow, no, and she brought it up, so if I
- 13:11Speaker 4: believe her. So my point is is that this adorable,
- 13:16Speaker 4: sweet girl who you know, this is a major, a
- 13:20Speaker 4: major thing going on in her life, and I don't know,
- 13:23Speaker 4: it was like we got to know bron when in
- 13:26Speaker 4: you know, ten minutes however long, the scene was probably
- 13:28Speaker 4: less in a way that you know, took her out
- 13:31Speaker 4: of the kind of caricature wearing a hot dog mustard
- 13:34Speaker 4: couture effat and made her like a real person. And
- 13:39Speaker 4: my heart just went out to them, like the whole
- 13:41Speaker 4: thing is fascinating and it's such a wild story.
- 13:45Speaker 5: Yeah, and I took you, I take off my mustard
- 13:48Speaker 5: lid hat to her because she did talk to her
- 13:52Speaker 5: prior to this and said, we talked about this, and
- 13:56Speaker 5: I gave her some space and then they filmed basically
- 14:00Speaker 5: follow up, which I was like, thank.
- 14:01Speaker 2: You, which is what a good mother would do.
- 14:04Speaker 1: And then we're not used to that we're not used
- 14:06Speaker 1: to that.
- 14:06Speaker 2: We're caught off guard with all of the you know, authenticity,
- 14:13Speaker 2: well to have Lisa. So we're in the nail salon
- 14:16Speaker 2: right with Lisa and Bronwyn. That's where they were when
- 14:18Speaker 2: they had this conversation.
- 14:20Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 14:20Speaker 2: Remember okay, soot massage, oh a foot massage? Okay, wow?
- 14:27Speaker 3: Because I was like, do talk to me about head
- 14:29Speaker 3: ship when I'm getting a massage?
- 14:31Speaker 2: I know that is tough.
- 14:33Speaker 1: So the crimitted. They did crop out the massagers.
- 14:36Speaker 4: Thank god, only and back to the point where I
- 14:39Speaker 4: thought maybe they were actually massage, and then I caught
- 14:42Speaker 4: I caught a hand.
- 14:43Speaker 1: I'm like, okay, they're still there on the massage.
- 14:46Speaker 4: I know, for me, never stopped just because I'm having
- 14:48Speaker 4: a serious conversation.
- 14:50Speaker 1: I never know, never never ever stopped massage. You might be.
- 14:56Speaker 2: When they were on the plane coming back from Milwaukee
- 14:59Speaker 2: and for her to be like, oh, that's such a
- 15:02Speaker 2: Gwen face or no, yeah she said that about her,
- 15:05Speaker 2: like you look just like your daughter, and then she's like, no,
- 15:07Speaker 2: no one ever says that, and then pulls up this picture. Well,
- 15:12Speaker 2: it is strange that she would just willy nilly, after
- 15:15Speaker 2: all of these years bring up a picture of Gwen's
- 15:19Speaker 2: dad and show it to Lisa. That is a little odd.
- 15:23Speaker 2: I'm not going to say she's doing it for the
- 15:25Speaker 2: show necessarily, but I do think the timing is strange.
- 15:29Speaker 2: I think it's a little bit weird.
- 15:31Speaker 4: Wait, so are you alleging, yeah, that Bronwyn knew that
- 15:36Speaker 4: Lisa was friends with Yeah, Twen's.
- 15:38Speaker 2: Grandparents, absolutely, because I'm sure she's seen them out and about.
- 15:42Speaker 2: I'm sure she's seen them together before.
- 15:47Speaker 3: Well, to Heather Gates.
- 15:49Speaker 5: In the books, like the Utah Mormons are like, you're
- 15:54Speaker 5: all like three degrees of separation, maybe at the most
- 15:59Speaker 5: like in terms of like at a certain.
- 16:00Speaker 3: Level of the church. So I could see.
- 16:04Speaker 5: Bronwynn Note being like, you know what Lisa's got there,
- 16:08Speaker 5: She's got to know them. Yeah, I could see her
- 16:10Speaker 5: putting that together.
- 16:11Speaker 1: Okay, hold on.
- 16:13Speaker 4: Are saying it could be right, but but in this theory,
- 16:16Speaker 4: then Lisa has they've been friends a few years, right,
- 16:18Speaker 4: So you're saying this whole time, Lisa, Uh, Gwen, what
- 16:22Speaker 4: the he's her name? Bronwyn is waiting to be cast
- 16:25Speaker 4: on the show.
- 16:26Speaker 2: No, bring No, I do not think it's that premeditated
- 16:30Speaker 2: at all. I just think it the timing of it
- 16:33Speaker 2: just happened to work out like this. I certainly am
- 16:36Speaker 2: not saying that Bronwin had this master plan to expose
- 16:39Speaker 2: this on reality television. Absolutely not well, but I do
- 16:42Speaker 2: think that once she got on the show, that that
- 16:46Speaker 2: with Gwen turning eighteen and these things bubbling up to
- 16:50Speaker 2: the surface, that it's possible that the timing was right
- 16:53Speaker 2: for her to share this with Lisa and for the
- 16:56Speaker 2: you know, essentially the the cat to be out of
- 16:59Speaker 2: the bag.
- 17:01Speaker 5: Yeah. Maybe maybe I can go either way here on
- 17:04Speaker 5: this because also, you know, maybe she I could see
- 17:08Speaker 5: her doing it on camera as well and didn't do it,
- 17:11Speaker 5: So I don't know doing what on camera, like doing
- 17:15Speaker 5: showing Lisa the picture on camera, oh for Relesa's reaction
- 17:19Speaker 5: on camera, but yeah, it's yeah, I don't know.
- 17:23Speaker 1: But yeah, they weren't being filmed though, because we would
- 17:27Speaker 1: have seen it.
- 17:28Speaker 2: Yes, I mean saying that that I would have deliberately
- 17:31Speaker 2: done it on camera, but I think she was. She
- 17:34Speaker 2: did it now and now she verified that Lisa knows them,
- 17:38Speaker 2: and now she went back to Gwen and said, this
- 17:41Speaker 2: is what happened. I'm going to give you some time
- 17:42Speaker 2: to think about it. If this is something you want
- 17:45Speaker 2: to do on camera, we can do it also, you know.
- 17:50Speaker 2: But I'm also like not trying to villainize Bronwin by
- 17:53Speaker 2: any means that this happened or that she premeditated. I'm
- 17:55Speaker 2: just saying, like, it is strange that she she didn't
- 17:59Speaker 2: mention why did she show Lisa that picture at that
- 18:03Speaker 2: time in their friendship? It does seem like interest.
- 18:08Speaker 5: Also, we don't know how close Bronwin and Lisa were
- 18:12Speaker 5: in those three years. Yeah, I mean right, they could
- 18:14Speaker 5: have just been acquaintances and Lisa knew.
- 18:17Speaker 3: She'd be great for the show.
- 18:18Speaker 5: Yeah, the timing worked out, so now they got there
- 18:21Speaker 5: becoming better friends, and Bronwin's maybe putting it together that
- 18:25Speaker 5: like I bet Lisa knows these people.
- 18:27Speaker 2: Mm hmmm yeah.
- 18:28Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 18:29Speaker 2: Well all that aside, because obviously I've just you know,
- 18:32Speaker 2: pulled in this question just because I just always wonder
- 18:35Speaker 2: about these types of things, because this is all uncolding,
- 18:38Speaker 2: you know, pretty unbe miraculously if you were to say,
- 18:42Speaker 2: by looking at all of this, you know, and that
- 18:44Speaker 2: Lisa knows them. When she saw the picture, she was like,
- 18:47Speaker 2: oh my god, I know them. And so when we
- 18:51Speaker 2: hear this horrible story about Bronwyn getting pregnant at nineteen,
- 18:56Speaker 2: the horrible story meaning not that, but when she and
- 19:00Speaker 2: the biological dad went to go tell his family that
- 19:03Speaker 2: they were pretty much blaming her, you know, the responsibilities
- 19:08Speaker 2: on the woman there, and that they wanted her to
- 19:11Speaker 2: go abroad, have the child quietly and then have it adopted,
- 19:15Speaker 2: and the fact that she had such a strong constitution
- 19:18Speaker 2: of her own character at that point. She said she
- 19:21Speaker 2: left there knowing she would do it by herself, which
- 19:24Speaker 2: is so empowering to me, and to see her in
- 19:28Speaker 2: tears in her confessional say, it was so hard to
- 19:32Speaker 2: know that I was doing the best thing in my life,
- 19:34Speaker 2: the best thing I've ever done, when so many people
- 19:37Speaker 2: thought it was the worst thing she's ever done. What torture. Yeah,
- 19:42Speaker 2: I know.
- 19:43Speaker 1: It's unbelievable.
- 19:45Speaker 4: It really is, Like I can't hats off, mustard, lid
- 19:50Speaker 4: off to Bronwin, truly red wings off to Bronwyn.
- 19:54Speaker 1: She really really impressed me.
- 19:58Speaker 5: It's going to take a lot for me to think
- 20:00Speaker 5: less of Bronwyn, I mean, because she has come on
- 20:04Speaker 5: so strong. Probably the best intro we've had of a
- 20:08Speaker 5: housewife that I can think of, and maybe ever so
- 20:13Speaker 5: I don't know, like she just keeps knocking it out
- 20:16Speaker 5: of the park.
- 20:17Speaker 2: Yeah, she does.
- 20:18Speaker 1: And she's messy like she she does all the things.
- 20:21Speaker 4: So it's not like it's not like, you know, a
- 20:24Speaker 4: sweetie pie like Jem Padrante who all of a sudden
- 20:26Speaker 4: will become evil like Bronman's already showed that she's willing
- 20:28Speaker 4: to talk, be on people's backs, you know, be a
- 20:32Speaker 4: big hypocrite, you know, marry an old guy with a
- 20:35Speaker 4: lot of money, you know, have a chaotic house like
- 20:38Speaker 4: she's checking all the boxes. Yeah, questionable plastic surgery like
- 20:43Speaker 4: it's giving, giving.
- 20:47Speaker 1: Like he's a housewife and not for so it's Univa.
- 20:52Speaker 2: Yeah you know, well, I guess Bronwyn's dad did call
- 20:57Speaker 2: the family once she had the baby, and then they
- 21:00Speaker 2: just never have ever reached back out. But the fact
- 21:04Speaker 2: that the biological father died so quickly, you know, when
- 21:09Speaker 2: the child was like two months. You know, she didn't
- 21:12Speaker 2: say how. They haven't mentioned anything about them. And that's
- 21:17Speaker 2: a very like interesting and lingering question that I think
- 21:21Speaker 2: we all have, Right, why wouldn't she say how he died? Well,
- 21:25Speaker 2: I mean, yeah, I'm wondering.
- 21:29Speaker 1: I think we're thinking the same thing.
- 21:31Speaker 4: He was young, right, So if they met in college,
- 21:34Speaker 4: he couldn't have been older than twenty one twenty two
- 21:36Speaker 4: because he died when she was two and she was
- 21:38Speaker 4: eighteen when she got pregnant. Assuming they were the same
- 21:40Speaker 4: agor within a few years of each other, he was
- 21:43Speaker 4: very young, which I mean, look, who knows. But when
- 21:47Speaker 4: you don't mention how someone died, like they were in
- 21:49Speaker 4: an accident or cancer, then it makes me, you know,
- 21:53Speaker 4: wonder one of two things.
- 21:55Speaker 2: So I don't you know, we don't need to say it,
- 21:57Speaker 2: but yeah, we don't need to say it, right.
- 21:59Speaker 3: I'll say it it.
- 22:02Speaker 1: Draggery morning.
- 22:04Speaker 2: No.
- 22:04Speaker 5: So but to Amy, you said two months and it
- 22:08Speaker 5: was to her baby like Gwen was two years and I.
- 22:13Speaker 3: When Yeah, but that because that two years to me,
- 22:19Speaker 3: I was like, and he didn't reach out once like that. Yeah,
- 22:23Speaker 3: but his papa had.
- 22:24Speaker 2: A hold on him, you know, And that's what I think,
- 22:26Speaker 2: Like that he has the tragic story to tell too,
- 22:28Speaker 2: is what I'm feeling. No, right exactly. And so when
- 22:34Speaker 2: we get to the point where you know, we have
- 22:37Speaker 2: bron when and Gwen sitting down with the cookies and
- 22:40Speaker 2: the dogs and all the dog sweaters.
- 22:42Speaker 3: Oh yeah, p s. Yeah. Have you guys had Crumble cookies?
- 22:46Speaker 3: That's what they were eating?
- 22:47Speaker 2: Have them up here in Santa Clarita.
- 22:49Speaker 5: I mean, can we just get a quick thought on
- 22:52Speaker 5: I'm not a fan, Okay, sorry, I'm not biased the reviews.
- 22:56Speaker 2: It's fine, totally fine. Let's do a Crumble cookie breakdown
- 23:00Speaker 2: real quick. Have you had them, Melisa?
- 23:02Speaker 1: No, but they look so good. I love a good cookie,
- 23:04Speaker 1: like and.
- 23:06Speaker 2: You have a problem with it because it's too complicated, right, Emily,
- 23:10Speaker 2: I'm not.
- 23:10Speaker 3: I don't I'm not a big icing person.
- 23:12Speaker 5: And the cookie is so same soft that I'm just like,
- 23:17Speaker 5: I do like soft, it's important, but there's just something
- 23:20Speaker 5: about this that I'm like, is this fully cooked?
- 23:23Speaker 2: Okay? Yeah, so they give that that is kind of
- 23:26Speaker 2: the vibe. And they have a ton of options. I
- 23:30Speaker 2: mean they literally have like pumpkin pie with cream cheese
- 23:34Speaker 2: icing cookie, and I mean it is an entire dessert
- 23:38Speaker 2: for a week.
- 23:40Speaker 1: You have it, you have it in Santa Clarita.
- 23:43Speaker 2: Yeah, we have Crumble in Santa Crida. We also have Yeah, so.
- 23:47Speaker 1: Excuse me, they're very well.
- 23:50Speaker 2: I don't know if you've heard of Santa Clarita, but
- 23:52Speaker 2: we you know all the hot cookies are controversial. Take
- 23:59Speaker 2: I don't like a hot cookie, so when I get them,
- 24:02Speaker 2: I let it sit. I'm gonna have to let it sit.
- 24:05Speaker 2: But anyway, that is something that they do there. Yes,
- 24:09Speaker 2: it's dense and it also has a very soft center.
- 24:13Speaker 5: Yeah, darlings, please, I'm the only one that doesn't like crumble.
- 24:17Speaker 3: Clearly everyone loves them.
- 24:19Speaker 2: They're everybody loves Everybody loves it Crumble. But I'm going
- 24:22Speaker 2: to tell you what it's not. I'm not going to
- 24:24Speaker 2: say it's my favorite cookie. I'm not.
- 24:26Speaker 1: You just lost them as a sponsor. Give them a shadow.
- 24:34Speaker 2: I go there all the time. Okay, people love it.
- 24:39Speaker 2: We bring them to parties. You know, it's basically like
- 24:42Speaker 2: your Mormon It's like the Santa Clarita Mormon. Uh swig,
- 24:47Speaker 2: you know what I'm saying. That's what it is. So
- 24:49Speaker 2: when they're in the dog the dogs are in all
- 24:51Speaker 2: their sweaters, which.
- 24:53Speaker 3: The house of Dog. I loved it.
- 24:55Speaker 1: I loved it. They were so cute.
- 24:57Speaker 4: I love when dogs sit on your lap very calmly.
- 25:00Speaker 4: I think that is one of the cutest things. And
- 25:03Speaker 4: then put them in a sweater.
- 25:04Speaker 1: Are you kidding?
- 25:05Speaker 4: I was done like it was giving Gilmore girls like,
- 25:09Speaker 4: I love them, they have relationship and those dogs like
- 25:14Speaker 4: it's it's reminded me of fall.
- 25:17Speaker 3: Oh my god, Broaden Wind is very Gilmore girls.
- 25:21Speaker 1: That dairy and her daughter is kind of too.
- 25:24Speaker 3: Yes, the two girl Laura, Wow.
- 25:29Speaker 2: They're cute. When I saw the one in a sweater,
- 25:32Speaker 2: I was like, well, this one's getting special treatment and
- 25:35Speaker 2: then boom we get another and boom you all have sweaters.
- 25:39Speaker 4: I wonder if Kyle's going to have her dogs and
- 25:41Speaker 4: sweaters in the next Christmas card, like because she can't
- 25:44Speaker 4: really do it Mauricio anymore, although they probably will.
- 25:47Speaker 2: Yeah, but I bet they're gonna be like Christmas cards together.
- 25:53Speaker 1: They will.
- 25:53Speaker 4: You need to put they need to put those dogs
- 25:55Speaker 4: in sweat.
- 25:57Speaker 2: Now get down from there by Babby getting your water.
- 26:00Speaker 2: They couldn't get those fucking dogs in the sweater if
- 26:04Speaker 2: the entire staff of the agency helped them. Say much anyway, but.
- 26:10Speaker 5: Also jeers to us for not going to Kathy Hilton's
- 26:15Speaker 5: yard sale and getting our Christmas picture with all of
- 26:18Speaker 5: her Christmas decorations behind.
- 26:20Speaker 1: Wait wait wait wait wait wait did you end up going?
- 26:23Speaker 3: No?
- 26:23Speaker 5: But I wish we would have, yeah, because they were
- 26:26Speaker 5: all out there and we could have finally had our
- 26:28Speaker 5: Kathy Hilton Christmas picture.
- 26:30Speaker 2: Oh you know, I'm gonna work on us getting to
- 26:34Speaker 2: a h wait, what is it Comcast that she's always
- 26:37Speaker 2: sponsoring with her Christmas direct TV just lost two more sponsors.
- 26:44Speaker 4: I know, and I'm about to go hard and then
- 26:46Speaker 4: we'll get back to Salt Lake.
- 26:47Speaker 1: But like, it always amazes me that.
- 26:50Speaker 4: Really rich people feel they need to do like a
- 26:52Speaker 4: sponsored party or a shilling for college.
- 26:57Speaker 1: But they're cheap because all rich people are cheap.
- 26:59Speaker 4: Oh interesting, or they're not really rich, or it's smoking mirrors.
- 27:03Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 27:04Speaker 2: Well, the old money, I will say, old money rich
- 27:08Speaker 2: people are cheap and frugal. New money rich people are
- 27:12Speaker 2: not well.
- 27:13Speaker 4: And that plays out on the house Wives time after time,
- 27:15Speaker 4: doesn't it.
- 27:16Speaker 5: Yeah, old money has seen new money blow through it,
- 27:22Speaker 5: and I think that's why they're like, you know what,
- 27:24Speaker 5: I'm going to save money right now?
- 27:27Speaker 2: Well old money, right, I suppose.
- 27:31Speaker 3: But it becomes old money because she didn't blow at all.
- 27:36Speaker 2: Are you talking about diary? No, I'm kidding. New money
- 27:43Speaker 2: people ship their pants.
- 27:45Speaker 1: Old money people.
- 27:48Speaker 2: This got weird. Okay, let's get back to the dogs
- 27:50Speaker 2: and sweaters and crumble cookies, and the text message from
- 27:57Speaker 2: the grandmother to Gwen or who ever saying that they
- 28:02Speaker 2: are ready to meet Gwen, but only if she's in
- 28:05Speaker 2: a place in her life, if she's ready to accept them.
- 28:09Speaker 2: I'd love to hear what your translation of that means.
- 28:14Speaker 2: Let's start with you, Emily.
- 28:17Speaker 5: I thought that I honestly could see it in the
- 28:22Speaker 5: grandma and in defense of the grandma, like if you're
- 28:26Speaker 5: if you are ready, and I think the word accept
- 28:29Speaker 5: got me could have been taken out of context.
- 28:33Speaker 3: It seemed like maybe they read it as accept our faith,
- 28:37Speaker 3: accept our.
- 28:38Speaker 5: Decisions, except blah blah blah blah, where I think she
- 28:41Speaker 5: was more like, hey, we're ready when you are and
- 28:45Speaker 5: when you're ready to do this.
- 28:47Speaker 3: But maybe I'm wrong. I don't know.
- 28:50Speaker 4: Yeah, I think it could go either way, right because
- 28:52Speaker 4: it could be like giving her the benefit of the doubt,
- 28:56Speaker 4: like we I'm like, we suck, we ignore the first
- 28:59Speaker 4: team eighteen years of your life, And I get if
- 29:02Speaker 4: you hate us and don't want to ever talk to
- 29:04Speaker 4: us again, But if you can find it in your
- 29:06Speaker 4: heart to accept us back in, then we are here.
- 29:11Speaker 4: Or it could be if you don't accept our Mormonism, fuck.
- 29:13Speaker 2: Off, right. So I saw that those two options as well,
- 29:17Speaker 2: and I really feel like it is the first option
- 29:22Speaker 2: in my opinion. At this point. I do feel like
- 29:25Speaker 2: they're saying, if you're if you can come to us
- 29:28Speaker 2: and like we can talk, and you don't, you're not
- 29:30Speaker 2: going to come and be mad at us and be like,
- 29:33Speaker 2: what's your fucking problem? If you're not going to come
- 29:36Speaker 2: with rage and anger, we're ready for you. But it
- 29:39Speaker 2: kind of sounded like they were saying, if you haven't
- 29:42Speaker 2: worked through your anger, please don't bring it to our door.
- 29:45Speaker 2: And I don't know if that's necessarily the right thing
- 29:47Speaker 2: to do, but I also feel like if the underlying
- 29:52Speaker 2: tone was also if she can accept them and all
- 29:56Speaker 2: of their beliefs, certainly knowing what she's coming into, like
- 30:02Speaker 2: that will get them further, because if Gwen understands that
- 30:06Speaker 2: in their religion that's why they made a lot of
- 30:08Speaker 2: these choices, then hopefully that'll give her a leg up
- 30:12Speaker 2: on understanding that before coming to them. So I was
- 30:16Speaker 2: upset that she took it in a negative way, but
- 30:21Speaker 2: hopefully and with it sounds like Bronwin is encouraging her
- 30:24Speaker 2: to say look, you know, I'm not I don't want
- 30:27Speaker 2: to force you to do it. I don't want to
- 30:28Speaker 2: push it, but you deserve to learn about your dad,
- 30:31Speaker 2: and this is basically the only way to do it.
- 30:35Speaker 3: Right.
- 30:37Speaker 5: Yeah, the word accept is just it's a hard one
- 30:40Speaker 5: to get around, and so I can understand why.
- 30:43Speaker 3: It's like, oops, you just delayed it. And this is
- 30:45Speaker 3: how I feel.
- 30:46Speaker 5: Sending any important text exactly what word here is gonna
- 30:51Speaker 5: throw this whole thing into the dump, like you know
- 30:53Speaker 5: what I mean, Like like that's the I feel like
- 30:56Speaker 5: we all get tripped up if we're like we.
- 30:57Speaker 3: Have to send this very official, normal text. It's like,
- 31:03Speaker 3: but so I feel for the I feel for.
- 31:06Speaker 5: Both sides, and I'm kind of like, if it's really
- 31:10Speaker 5: we're hung up on this one word.
- 31:12Speaker 3: Just go for it.
- 31:14Speaker 1: Yeah, you have a phone call, Like, have a first
- 31:17Speaker 1: phone call and just get a vibe back, you know vibe.
- 31:21Speaker 2: Yeah, I agree, phone call, that's a brilliant idea first test.
- 31:25Speaker 4: Then I know we've all forgotten what those are, but
- 31:28Speaker 4: they still exist.
- 31:30Speaker 1: They still exist, O god.
- 31:33Speaker 5: And I'd so much rather a phone call than even
- 31:36Speaker 5: sending that text. I mean, like I would much rather
- 31:39Speaker 5: be like, hey, but I do an email over that text, even.
- 31:46Speaker 2: A voice text that that because then your language can't that.
- 31:52Speaker 2: Emily hates it.
- 31:53Speaker 4: But your I love a voice memo love my favorite communication.
- 31:58Speaker 4: We don't have to talk, but I can still get
- 32:00Speaker 4: out everything I.
- 32:01Speaker 1: Need to say. It's like the perfect mode of communication.
- 32:04Speaker 3: But an initial yeah, you're right, you're right.
- 32:08Speaker 2: No, no, no, you're right.
- 32:10Speaker 1: I break that first time. Back, I take that back.
- 32:14Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, no thanks, I mean not whatever this is.
- 32:21Speaker 2: Yeah, So no, we're not going to We're not going
- 32:23Speaker 2: to do a voice text, all right.
- 32:24Speaker 4: So I'm excited to see how this progresses because she
- 32:26Speaker 4: was on Watch What Happens Live and she said, you'll
- 32:28Speaker 4: see it play out over the season.
- 32:30Speaker 1: So I'm watching, I'm watching What Happenings, and.
- 32:34Speaker 2: I think that Lisa did a good job by saying
- 32:37Speaker 2: I think that there's pain and regret on the other side.
- 32:41Speaker 3: I will. I mean, she's brokering this deal. Now, Lisa is.
- 32:46Speaker 2: Nuts.
- 32:47Speaker 1: This is the wildest person on television. I mean I
- 32:50Speaker 1: mean that.
- 32:51Speaker 4: I mean that as a compliment, like she is the
- 32:54Speaker 4: most fast. I think she is maybe the.
- 32:55Speaker 1: Most fascinating housewife because there are so many layers to her.
- 33:00Speaker 4: Her and like, just when you think she's one way,
- 33:02Speaker 4: she's completely another way. And I love boxing people, and
- 33:06Speaker 4: I love being like you're a psycho, you're a narcissist,
- 33:08Speaker 4: or this. I cannot box that woman in. She is fascinating.
- 33:14Speaker 5: She is too because she also has these very strong,
- 33:17Speaker 5: deep bonds with people that you're like, if you were
- 33:19Speaker 5: as crazy as we think you are, you couldn't be
- 33:23Speaker 5: this deep. And so it's and a reminder that when
- 33:27Speaker 5: we very first met, when we met Bronwyn in the
- 33:30Speaker 5: first episode of the season, Lisa says, I love Gwen
- 33:36Speaker 5: as much as you.
- 33:37Speaker 3: Gwen is so amazing.
- 33:38Speaker 5: So Lisa also has this relationship with Bronwin's daughter because
- 33:41Speaker 5: she was like, she's so amazing, she's these businesses.
- 33:44Speaker 3: I like her as much as bron Went.
- 33:47Speaker 5: So it was like, like Lisa's real tight even with Gwen.
- 33:52Speaker 3: So now I am going back and forth on did
- 33:54Speaker 3: she know?
- 33:55Speaker 2: But Okay, Emily, I can't believe you brought that up.
- 33:57Speaker 2: I got because in the shower this morning, I thought
- 34:00Speaker 2: that's the first, not the first, that's one of the
- 34:03Speaker 2: things that popped in my head and I said, wow,
- 34:06Speaker 2: Lisa laid that on so thick about Gwen that when
- 34:11Speaker 2: she did it, I thought, that's interesting, Like, why is
- 34:13Speaker 2: she pushing so hard in that direction? It seemed a
- 34:17Speaker 2: little over explained, that's all.
- 34:20Speaker 5: And I'd have to go back and watch it because
- 34:22Speaker 5: maybe maybe it would be clear.
- 34:24Speaker 2: Thinks all right, yeah, all right.
- 34:25Speaker 3: Well maybe it's out a maybe it's out a step.
- 34:28Speaker 5: Maybe they're like, can you like maybe these things were
- 34:30Speaker 5: filmed at different times and it would So that's I'll.
- 34:34Speaker 2: Give you that. But listen, how we move on to
- 34:37Speaker 2: the next part of Salt Lake City, I'd like to
- 34:40Speaker 2: talk a little bit about Honeylove now that we're heading
- 34:43Speaker 2: into fall. I know everybody's getting their fall wardrobes in place,

- 36:12Speaker 2: This episode is proudly brought to you by Low lev
- 36:15Speaker 2: an award winning hair Caroline, founded by my best friend,
- 36:19Speaker 2: Jennifer Aniston. Okay, I that might be a little bit
- 36:22Speaker 2: of a stretch, but I'd like to think that we're
- 36:24Speaker 2: Besti's in my head because she's giving me incredible advice
- 36:29Speaker 2: on hair. We all go through it. We all torture
- 36:32Speaker 2: our hair, coloring, heat styling, I mean so much of it,
- 36:36Speaker 2: scorching sun anyone. I'm still in the heat in Santa Clarita.
- 36:40Speaker 2: It's literally one hundred and five decrees the other day.
- 36:44Speaker 2: So when you are dealing with this type of thing,
- 36:46Speaker 2: I highly recommend the intensive repair treatment. It has so
- 36:51Speaker 2: much to give. It's clinically proven to repair and rebuild
- 36:54Speaker 2: all types of hair, and it's a game changer. How
- 36:57Speaker 2: can we not listen to Jen? Jen was fed up
- 36:59Speaker 2: with incessant damage and the choice between using hair care
- 37:02Speaker 2: products that worked versus those that were genuinely beneficial, so
- 37:07Speaker 2: she decided to create the product that she wanted. She
- 37:11Speaker 2: worked with chemists. Can you imagine Jennifer working with chemists? Yeah, oh,
- 37:15Speaker 2: you've proprietary bond technology.
- 37:18Speaker 3: I love it.
- 37:18Speaker 2: So now she's delivering us both naturally derived ingredients and
- 37:22Speaker 2: high performance results derived from chia seeds. This technology constructs
- 37:27Speaker 2: a new protective cuticle around the hair where damage begins
- 37:31Speaker 2: to keep it healthy and looking its best. Think of
- 37:34Speaker 2: it as an all around defense against signs of aging
- 37:38Speaker 2: and damage on the hair. Yes, our hair ages, but
- 37:41Speaker 2: it doesn't have to look like that. And here's a

- 41:14Speaker 2: time for some well deserved me time. All right, let's
- 41:17Speaker 2: get right back into the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City.
- 41:21Speaker 2: And so now we are skiing, and this is what
- 41:24Speaker 2: we love about Salt Lake City. We get to hit
- 41:27Speaker 2: the slopes. We've got Heather, we've got Whitney, and we've
- 41:30Speaker 2: got Britannica. And Britannica is a piece of work. So
- 41:38Speaker 2: before we kind of move on to prison, I do
- 41:41Speaker 2: want to just kind of talk about Britannica and then
- 41:45Speaker 2: the scene with Encyclopedia Britannica and Jared. Okay, so can
- 41:50Speaker 2: we just get that out of the way real quick.
- 41:53Speaker 2: So on the ski slopes, she says, yeah, he came
- 41:56Speaker 2: back from Milwaukee and there were flowers and like stuffies,
- 41:59Speaker 2: and you know, I think I should hear him out.
- 42:01Speaker 2: And they're like, okay, whatever you say. And now let's
- 42:07Speaker 2: pop over to brit Brittani and Jared and him embracing
- 42:13Speaker 2: her in a like an Edensassoon type of hug that
- 42:16Speaker 2: is so weird to watch.
- 42:20Speaker 5: And he speaks to her as like sexily as he
- 42:25Speaker 5: does to the waiter about a chiguterery board.
- 42:29Speaker 2: And with the same amount of misogyny.
- 42:31Speaker 5: Yes, just everything about him is like so performative and disgusting.
- 42:37Speaker 5: And I'm like, she is buying every disgusting and she
- 42:42Speaker 5: buys every bit of it.
- 42:44Speaker 1: I feel like she doesn't. She doesn't. He is such
- 42:47Speaker 1: a walking red flag, Like I have never been able
- 42:50Speaker 1: to peg a dirty john.
- 42:51Speaker 4: More like, even if we didn't know the backstory, as
- 42:53Speaker 4: soon as you walked in, I would have been like, Okay,
- 42:55Speaker 4: you're just gonna end in a lifetime movie.
- 42:58Speaker 1: Yeah he is, he is. But I feel like she
- 43:02Speaker 1: eighty five.
- 43:03Speaker 4: Percent of her has his number and then fifteen percent
- 43:06Speaker 4: of her has just I mean, sorry, it's going to
- 43:08Speaker 4: get dark, but like just no self esteem. That she's
- 43:10Speaker 4: still hanging on to those things even though she knows
- 43:15Speaker 4: that it's not real, just because she doesn't like herself,
- 43:18Speaker 4: and that makes me sad. I like her, I know
- 43:20Speaker 4: that maybe that's not popular, and I wouldn't want to
- 43:23Speaker 4: be friends with her.
- 43:24Speaker 2: I don't know. I don't not like her. She's pretty indifferent.
- 43:27Speaker 4: It's like she's so like vulnerable and pathetic that it
- 43:30Speaker 4: kind of makes me like, it makes me want to
- 43:31Speaker 4: give her an Eden Sasoon hug.
- 43:32Speaker 2: Sure, well, that's probably why he wants to keep her
- 43:35Speaker 2: close as to be maybe a friend. I don't know,
- 43:37Speaker 2: but I also think like that fifteen percent that you're
- 43:40Speaker 2: talking about is well, I'm gonna just hold on to
- 43:44Speaker 2: the fact that I do I might not know really
- 43:48Speaker 2: that he's a red flag, and I'm going to put
- 43:49Speaker 2: this on television for the sake of me being in
- 43:51Speaker 2: the Real Housewife.
- 43:52Speaker 4: Completely, Okay, completely, because guys, there's no other storyline. If
- 43:56Speaker 4: she's going to come back next season, we're going to
- 43:58Speaker 4: get full facelift, We're going to get there's gonna be.
- 44:00Speaker 1: A lot have already happened. What's happening?
- 44:05Speaker 5: But somebody tweeted, and I wish I wrote down who
- 44:08Speaker 5: tweeted this.
- 44:09Speaker 3: Okay, so she somehow looks.
- 44:11Speaker 5: Like all the Housewives of Dallas at once.
- 44:16Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, that.
- 44:17Speaker 1: Is that's so per mean. She actually does because she's like.
- 44:21Speaker 4: Brand looks like yeah, yeah, whoever that third one is
- 44:26Speaker 4: yeah define Oh my god, I miss and like the
- 44:30Speaker 4: one that left me.
- 44:31Speaker 2: I know, yeah, baby voices.
- 44:38Speaker 1: All of our faces.
- 44:41Speaker 7: I feel like I'm gonna play for her because I
- 44:42Speaker 7: feel like Jared is like good news. I have another
- 44:47Speaker 7: like pool in the middle of the house of Flake
- 44:51Speaker 7: coming up, coming up, I feel like coming up.
- 45:00Speaker 2: Yeah, you we never got to recap Dallas together, bring
- 45:04Speaker 2: them back, bring them back. So yeah. So the fact
- 45:10Speaker 2: that we found out with this lunch that Lisa freaking
- 45:14Speaker 2: took Britney's phone and was singing a song about bestines
- 45:21Speaker 2: to Jared absolutely kills me. And this is why I'm
- 45:25Speaker 2: so passed that we didn't have cameras wherever they were.
- 45:29Speaker 2: Why didn't we get to see this?
- 45:31Speaker 4: But that's the thing about Lisa going back to Lisa
- 45:33Speaker 4: like clearly does not matter if cameras are on or off.
- 45:36Speaker 4: She's just gonna go off.
- 45:38Speaker 1: And she she's like she's fully fueled by diet coke
- 45:42Speaker 1: or diet pepsi.
- 45:44Speaker 4: So she's I just think she doesn't sleep and she's
- 45:47Speaker 4: constantly in motion doing crazy things all the time, whether
- 45:50Speaker 4: the cameras are on.
- 45:51Speaker 2: It's like my daughter mine the diet coke doesn't sleep
- 45:56Speaker 2: constantly in motion. You never know what's gonna happen.
- 45:59Speaker 5: There.
- 46:00Speaker 3: You get a Barlow on your hands.
- 46:02Speaker 1: You got a little Lisa Barlow.
- 46:04Speaker 2: Oh my god, baby, Oh my god, what happened?
- 46:10Speaker 3: Wait?
- 46:10Speaker 2: I pulled that clip? Oh my gosh, oh good? Did
- 46:14Speaker 2: you hear that she when she said that it was
- 46:16Speaker 2: actually in the scene with Bronwyn.
- 46:19Speaker 1: What happened?
- 46:20Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 46:21Speaker 1: Oh yeah, I totally did.
- 46:25Speaker 4: I just I mean, she's wait, okay, I don't want
- 46:29Speaker 4: to skip around, but I have one important thing that
- 46:31Speaker 4: we need to cover.
- 46:32Speaker 2: Okay, me too, Let's finish up Wednesday.
- 46:35Speaker 3: That's Jared.
- 46:37Speaker 1: He is your bestie.
- 46:38Speaker 2: Do you think that's what the song was?
- 46:40Speaker 1: She's singing it way better than her.
- 46:42Speaker 2: That's Jered. He's your bestie.
- 46:47Speaker 8: Away in a manger, friend for your head, The little
- 46:54Speaker 8: little Jared is the worst odds man yet.
- 46:59Speaker 3: A friend for your head.
- 47:04Speaker 1: Yeah, there's like thirty five of them.
- 47:07Speaker 2: Yeah right, So, and he's like, I like our relationship
- 47:13Speaker 2: in private, I guess you're in public, and that he
- 47:16Speaker 2: sounds like Luyne apparently, and then Brittany in Brittani Sorry
- 47:21Speaker 2: in her confessional, is like, he drops my hand when
- 47:24Speaker 2: a hot girl walks by. He won't get off dating apps.
- 47:27Speaker 2: It's like bitch.
- 47:30Speaker 3: Here with him.
- 47:31Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, okay.
- 47:34Speaker 5: There is the connection to the zip line thing too,
- 47:39Speaker 5: like with with Lisa taking her phone, Like, I'm sure
- 47:44Speaker 5: she fully gave Lisa her phone. I don't think Lisa
- 47:47Speaker 5: was acting and he whatever went down there, Brittanica signed
- 47:53Speaker 5: off on she did, and I.
- 47:54Speaker 1: Love how Lisa was completely unapologetic, unapologetic about it. She's like, yeah,
- 47:59Speaker 1: of course I took your phone.
- 48:00Speaker 4: He's a fucking asshole, like someone had to said him, straight, idiot,
- 48:05Speaker 4: like she.
- 48:06Speaker 1: I love that she doubled.
- 48:07Speaker 2: Down, and I wanted I wish I had her in
- 48:09Speaker 2: my life when I was in my twenties, right, you know,
- 48:12Speaker 2: just shut it down because I was. I feel like
- 48:15Speaker 2: I was Brittonica at one point, you know what I mean? Yes, yeah,
- 48:19Speaker 2: and I think please, yeah.
- 48:21Speaker 5: I'm sure she sat there and we just got edited out,
- 48:25Speaker 5: but I'm sure she put the whole thing on Lisa
- 48:27Speaker 5: to Jared so that he would accept her again.
- 48:30Speaker 3: And that's why I think like she's.
- 48:34Speaker 5: Really far gone on this, and I you know, maybe
- 48:36Speaker 5: it's just a lifetime of you know, the Mormon Church
- 48:40Speaker 5: or whatever, but man like I was just she she
- 48:43Speaker 5: almost sees the light and then she gets sucked right
- 48:46Speaker 5: back in.
- 48:47Speaker 1: I have a friend like this. I mean, it's it's hard.
- 48:50Speaker 1: You just got to get off the roller coat.
- 48:51Speaker 4: That's why I love that scene where they're out with
- 48:53Speaker 4: Mary and they're.
- 48:54Speaker 1: All like, I'm out, I'm out. They're all just like,
- 48:56Speaker 1: please take me off. I don't want to know. I'm
- 48:59Speaker 1: still said that. I'm like, call me when it's over again,
- 49:02Speaker 1: which will be three days.
- 49:03Speaker 2: She's like a Kristen Dodie, except not as like volnayl
- 49:08Speaker 2: you know. But also when they were telling her, She's like,
- 49:11Speaker 2: I don't want to talk about it anymore, you guys,
- 49:13Speaker 2: I just don't want to talk about it. You caused this, Lisa.
- 49:16Speaker 2: And they were all like, fine, great, you know that
- 49:19Speaker 2: she's going to be like, but what really hurts? It's like,
- 49:22Speaker 2: shut up, we know.
- 49:24Speaker 3: You don't want to.
- 49:25Speaker 2: You know, she does want to talk about it, but
- 49:27Speaker 2: should we go to the where do you guys want
- 49:29Speaker 2: to go? And what were you going to say, Lisa
- 49:30Speaker 2: about something that well, I was going to say.
- 49:33Speaker 4: That I have it's about Whitney, and I'm starting to think.
- 49:41Speaker 1: That Whitney's actually the villain. And for the Housewives of
- 49:43Speaker 1: So like, is this the revelation or is this like
- 49:45Speaker 1: everyone's like Lisa's the villain. I think Whitney's the villain.
- 49:48Speaker 2: Ailey has always said that she feels like Whitney is
- 49:52Speaker 2: the thirstiest one on that cast from the Jump?
- 49:56Speaker 1: Who said that, Emily?
- 49:57Speaker 4: Emily, Yeah, it's not just thirsty, it's I'm gonna like
- 50:03Speaker 4: he had.
- 50:03Speaker 1: Like diabolical I believe.
- 50:06Speaker 4: I mean, we'll see how it plays out, but I
- 50:08Speaker 4: don't think that Lisa did anything about her business. I mean,
- 50:13Speaker 4: we'll see what happens, but I thought that phone call
- 50:16Speaker 4: was completely set up and was was was cooked up
- 50:19Speaker 4: by Whitney and whoever was on the other side.
- 50:21Speaker 2: Oh, Adam the podcast that's up and at him? It
- 50:24Speaker 2: was him. Stop he's been I mean he walks the
- 50:29Speaker 2: streets of Salt Lake City, Like remember when he did
- 50:31Speaker 2: that interview with Mary Cosby's mom or something or.
- 50:36Speaker 1: Oh my god, I'm a mom.
- 50:37Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 50:38Speaker 1: Yeah, I've interviewed Shot. Did he interview gen Shot?
- 50:41Speaker 2: I think he yes? I think no, that was Zach Okay, wait,
- 50:44Speaker 2: I know Zach did Okay? Well up, and Adham is
- 50:47Speaker 2: walking the streets of Salt Lake City, but he didn't
- 50:49Speaker 2: realize that was his Yes, yes, so he when she
- 50:55Speaker 2: when Whitney is on the phone in the car, which
- 50:57Speaker 2: was amazing, and we got up an Adam phone call
- 51:01Speaker 2: and Adam's like someone you're close to, oh my god,
- 51:06Speaker 2: this information, and.
- 51:07Speaker 1: She's they scripted it, they scripted it.
- 51:10Speaker 2: And then yeah, and then so he's friends with the
- 51:13Speaker 2: account that put up the Ali Baba slash Prism posts
- 51:17Speaker 2: Alan Bamba and then Adam is like, you can that
- 51:22Speaker 2: the person said that put that post up? See, I
- 51:26Speaker 2: fucking hate this.
- 51:26Speaker 4: By the way, can we stop with the account I
- 51:30Speaker 4: following it?
- 51:30Speaker 2: To be honest, it's annoying.
- 51:32Speaker 3: I know that.
- 51:32Speaker 4: I just don't even get it. But all I know
- 51:34Speaker 4: is that Whitney is.
- 51:37Speaker 1: Plotting behind the scenes.
- 51:39Speaker 2: But wait, what if Lisa sent it? Because that's what
- 51:42Speaker 2: he's saying, is like he was able to ask the
- 51:44Speaker 2: account questions, and that he asked the questions narrowed it
- 51:48Speaker 2: down to does this person have a liquor brand? Yes,
- 51:51Speaker 2: So Lisa Barlow is now under fire for sending this
- 51:56Speaker 2: account the Ali Baba in Prism necklace side by side.
- 52:02Speaker 2: So you're saying that you don't think that this is
- 52:04Speaker 2: true that Lisa sent it. Do you think her people did?
- 52:07Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 52:07Speaker 4: I just don't believe. I just feel like, again, could
- 52:10Speaker 4: she have sent it. Absolutely, I wouldn't put it past her.
- 52:13Speaker 4: And I'm not defending something like that that actually, like
- 52:17Speaker 4: a million percent could have happened. I'm just saying the
- 52:20Speaker 4: way that that phone call happened, and the way that
- 52:22Speaker 4: Whitney was sitting there and then put her hand over
- 52:24Speaker 4: her mouth trying not to laugh at the end of
- 52:26Speaker 4: the scene, in a way they cut out of it
- 52:28Speaker 4: so quickly, was telling I just feel like she's up
- 52:31Speaker 4: to no good.
- 52:32Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 52:33Speaker 2: Definitely reenactment.
- 52:35Speaker 5: We saw a perfect example of this at the beginning
- 52:38Speaker 5: of the episode when Whitney clearly the hotel had called
- 52:42Speaker 5: her to say like something had been left behind and
- 52:45Speaker 5: it was Lisa's Prism necklace and she's on speakerphone, and.
- 52:49Speaker 2: We reenact that. Can we please reenact that?
- 52:53Speaker 1: Go for it?
- 52:56Speaker 3: Hi, Whitney, Hi.
- 52:58Speaker 2: This is Whitney. Why are you calling me from the
- 53:01Speaker 2: hotel such and such where we were just at for
- 53:04Speaker 2: our cast trip in Milwaukee?
- 53:07Speaker 5: Right well, as I just said on our previous call,
- 53:09Speaker 5: shut yes, uh huh.
- 53:13Speaker 3: There was a beige box left in the room.
- 53:17Speaker 2: Wait a minute, was it sanging Prism on it? And
- 53:21Speaker 2: is it crim?
- 53:23Speaker 5: It said premium Prism jewelry at an affordable price.
- 53:28Speaker 3: Anybody should want this?
- 53:31Speaker 5: Do you think that was somebody's It seems like a
- 53:35Speaker 5: wonderful product. I don't know why it would have been
- 53:37Speaker 5: left behind.
- 53:38Speaker 2: Wait what room was it in?
- 53:42Speaker 5: I think it was in room number one because why
- 53:45Speaker 5: would it be in any other room? And I could
- 53:48Speaker 5: I sell this? Could I become a brand ambassador for Prism?
- 53:53Speaker 2: Okay, that's enough information from you. I cannot believe she
- 53:58Speaker 2: threw it in the trash.
- 54:00Speaker 3: He never said that, That's my point.
- 54:05Speaker 5: Yeah, and her confessional says she put it in the trash,
- 54:09Speaker 5: and I was like, go back.
- 54:11Speaker 3: I went back. I was like, he never said that.
- 54:14Speaker 5: And it's like, tell people that are cleaning your room
- 54:16Speaker 5: aren't going through your trash.
- 54:18Speaker 2: I mean, if they are, they're not going to call
- 54:20Speaker 2: you about it. But if you go through the trash,
- 54:22Speaker 2: you know, I would what are you what's in here?
- 54:24Speaker 7: You know?
- 54:24Speaker 2: What are you even behind? I'll get a Prism necklace?
- 54:27Speaker 2: What she?
- 54:33Speaker 1: I hate her now? I used to love her on her.
- 54:37Speaker 2: Was it this episode that did it?
- 54:39Speaker 1: No, it's well, okay, a confession.
- 54:43Speaker 4: Do you know Jamie Stein Deep dive with Jamie Stein
- 54:46Speaker 4: the intuitive or m path?
- 54:48Speaker 1: He's an EmPATH? Okay, okay, Well I don't want to
- 54:51Speaker 1: be plugging another podcast on your podcast?
- 54:53Speaker 2: Is that?
- 54:53Speaker 3: Okay?
- 54:54Speaker 1: I don't please?
- 54:55Speaker 2: I love podcast love Okay.
- 54:57Speaker 4: So he goes, he goes deep diving into the women
- 55:01Speaker 4: and it's always so interesting. He did a deep dive
- 55:03Speaker 4: with this woman on Whitney and it turned my head.
- 55:05Speaker 4: That's all I'll say. Recommend it listening. So that's what
- 55:09Speaker 4: turned it. And now I can't look at her everything.
- 55:10Speaker 1: Oh my gosha again deep dive with Jamie Stein.
- 55:16Speaker 2: I gotta like.
- 55:17Speaker 5: I just feel like every time Whitney you're having a
- 55:22Speaker 5: conversation with Whitney, you better get it one hundred percent
- 55:25Speaker 5: correct because otherwise she's going to spin it the second
- 55:29Speaker 5: she can. We saw like another examples, like with Heather
- 55:32Speaker 5: last season about the book, and you know how the
- 55:35Speaker 5: did everything she needed to do to clear Whitney on
- 55:38Speaker 5: that book because there are other people liable like her
- 55:42Speaker 5: editor and the publishing company, and then and then Whitney's
- 55:46Speaker 5: going to make this like you're trying to take advantage
- 55:49Speaker 5: of me as a victim and all, like.
- 55:51Speaker 2: That's a great Yeah, exactly, that's dangerous.
- 55:55Speaker 3: But that's just Whitney. That's Whitney. Everything is up for grabs.
- 56:00Speaker 2: It's a grade yeah, grab the bag, prison bucks. Oh
- 56:07Speaker 2: my god, I felt like this was plented, Like why
- 56:10Speaker 2: else would she toss the necklace I gave her into
- 56:13Speaker 2: the trash? And then Heather clarifies on the ski slopes
- 56:19Speaker 2: Lisa told Meredith and I told you, And so now
- 56:27Speaker 2: Whitney is all in a tizzy because she thought that
- 56:29Speaker 2: Lisa started the rumor, not Meredith, which I don't know.
- 56:35Speaker 2: I was still I was already confused, but I was like,
- 56:37Speaker 2: aren't you just mad at both of them? Anyway?
- 56:39Speaker 1: So like, what's the big I cannot be back.
- 56:42Speaker 4: I've truly I decided at this point the best way
- 56:46Speaker 4: to watch these shows I am out on New York
- 56:48Speaker 4: because I just can't do it. So the best ways
- 56:50Speaker 4: to watch the shows that I still love, like Orange
- 56:52Speaker 4: County and Salt Lake is just to not try.
- 56:55Speaker 1: To figure out the fights.
- 56:57Speaker 2: Okay, pay a take on to Brodstrokes, Hot.
- 57:01Speaker 1: Broadstrokes, and I'm actually to let go of. That is
- 57:04Speaker 1: very liberating.
- 57:05Speaker 2: You're a happier person. I've know you're lighter in your feet,
- 57:08Speaker 2: you just better glowing.
- 57:11Speaker 1: Yeah, it'll make sense at the reunion.
- 57:13Speaker 4: I'll catch up on what actually the hell is going
- 57:16Speaker 4: on at the reunion, and in the meantime, just like,
- 57:19Speaker 4: I'll pay attention to the interesting scenes and then like
- 57:22Speaker 4: if anyone pushes or flips a table, like.
- 57:25Speaker 1: I'll see it. Wow, it's where I'm.
- 57:29Speaker 2: What happened? You're watching as a passive watcher. I don't
- 57:33Speaker 2: like that.
- 57:34Speaker 1: What happened?
- 57:36Speaker 3: Well? Mary?
- 57:37Speaker 2: We have that very awkward scene between Mary and Robert
- 57:40Speaker 2: Junior with his nameplate above the door, and he comes
- 57:44Speaker 2: out and he wants money and she says that his
- 57:46Speaker 2: body's little plant and then she goes to a dance.
- 57:48Speaker 1: Oh so that was They shouldn't have shown that scene.
- 57:52Speaker 2: No, they shouldn't have.
- 57:53Speaker 4: That was just so upsetting and so dark. And then
- 57:56Speaker 4: they had the chipper music, funny music at the end.
- 57:59Speaker 4: I'm like, guys, there's no way to spin what is
- 58:02Speaker 4: happening in this scene. When she's like God help us,
- 58:05Speaker 4: I'm like, no, literally, God help us? Yeah, Like like
- 58:09Speaker 4: like what is.
- 58:10Speaker 2: He's in rehab? Now we know becoming in drugs.
- 58:13Speaker 4: Like, I don't Stevie Wonder could put him in rehab.
- 58:16Speaker 1: In that scene, I mean, it was so unsetting.
- 58:20Speaker 5: Well the like kind of rolls his eyes and I
- 58:23Speaker 5: was like that the eye roll was like very long,
- 58:27Speaker 5: and I was like.
- 58:28Speaker 3: That's a symptom.
- 58:30Speaker 1: It was so hard to listen, it was so hard
- 58:32Speaker 1: to watch.
- 58:33Speaker 2: I'm laughing because I'm uncomfortable.
- 58:34Speaker 5: But yeah, I think overall, what I'm seeing is Mom's
- 58:38Speaker 5: trying to connect and it's not working, and it makes
- 58:41Speaker 5: me sad. I think that's what it is. That's how
- 58:44Speaker 5: that goes. You work your fucking ass off and love
- 58:47Speaker 5: these kids, and it's so hard.
- 58:49Speaker 4: And that's why, Like when I see Meredith, they didn't
- 58:51Speaker 4: show her kids in this episode, but when I see
- 58:53Speaker 4: her with her kids, I love it. Or they don't
- 58:55Speaker 4: show the yeah, sun, but they just seem to like
- 58:57Speaker 4: genuinely connect and really.
- 59:01Speaker 1: Be friends, you know.
- 59:02Speaker 4: And I think it's appropriate to be friends when your
- 59:04Speaker 4: kids are in their twenties, not like when they're growing up.
- 59:06Speaker 4: But like there's clearly just so much love and connection there.
- 59:10Speaker 4: And I'm not saying that there's not love and connection
- 59:12Speaker 4: between all the other kids and their parents. But you know,
- 59:16Speaker 4: a lecture sleeps with Angie every night. I'm sure they're
- 59:18Speaker 4: very connected.
- 59:19Speaker 2: She does.
- 59:21Speaker 4: Well, remember that was a whole thing last season, is
- 59:23Speaker 4: that she slept in bed with them.
- 59:24Speaker 1: You don't remember that anything? That was like the whole thing. What?
- 59:28Speaker 1: Oh my god?
- 59:29Speaker 5: Every night last season, Amy was just broad stroking and
- 59:33Speaker 5: she ya, I was in the weeds.
- 59:35Speaker 1: I was in the weeds, Angie open, are.
- 59:40Speaker 2: You serious right now?
- 59:42Speaker 1: I am couldn't as a heart attack right, Emily help?
- 59:45Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, yeah, it was like.
- 59:47Speaker 2: That became because it became become husband. Yeah, okay, all right,
- 59:52Speaker 2: that sounds familiar.
- 59:53Speaker 1: That was something.
- 59:54Speaker 4: And then also I think somebody, maybe Lisa, someone brought.
- 59:57Speaker 1: It up like I don't sleep in bed with my daughter.
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: I don't know or like it just somehow it did
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: come up as like what the hell's wrong with you
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: kind of thing, or maybe we were.
- 1:00:07Speaker 2: Just playing that How old is a lectur? Do we know?
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: Now? She's eleven? I think?
- 1:00:11Speaker 2: But if okay, yeah, okay, So let's talk about Lisa
- 1:00:17Speaker 2: and Heather and the salt cave. We talked about how
- 1:00:20Speaker 2: they've gone to these salt caves before and other places
- 1:00:23Speaker 2: and so It's interesting to go back there because we
- 1:00:25Speaker 2: were there on Mormon Wives and they just talked about
- 1:00:28Speaker 2: Angie the whole time. And so Heather tells Lisa about
- 1:00:34Speaker 2: the gaming slam against her, and so now she's passed
- 1:00:39Speaker 2: and Heather's like, she's coming after you and I don't
- 1:00:41Speaker 2: know why. So uh, then we end up with ziplining
- 1:00:46Speaker 2: and really wild discovery that Mary loves ziplining.
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: Yeah that was more shocking than Robert r.
- 1:00:54Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, it was.
- 1:00:57Speaker 5: We do know why Angie said when other didn't know
- 1:01:01Speaker 5: what I mean, Angie went first for the kids with
- 1:01:05Speaker 5: I'm sorry, Lisa went first in on Elektra or whatever
- 1:01:08Speaker 5: her name is. So I'm kind of like Angie's got
- 1:01:12Speaker 5: to keep defending herself on this.
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: So that was not a.
- 1:01:15Speaker 4: Thing though, like I'm sorry, Like I know that it's
- 1:01:19Speaker 4: like she brought up her name.
- 1:01:20Speaker 2: Yeah, but it wasn't like it wasn't talk about.
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: She was doing coke in the bathroom.
- 1:01:25Speaker 2: Right right, you know. But to Angie, to Angie, she
- 1:01:29Speaker 2: was like, oh, give me something, like I'm gonna push
- 1:01:31Speaker 2: that chair down.
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: Oh yeah. I love Angie. I love her. She's such
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: a good housewives.
- 1:01:39Speaker 5: We've decided Amy decided for us, and I agree that
- 1:01:43Speaker 5: we are just going to fully embrace all of Angie's
- 1:01:47Speaker 5: scripted pratfall.
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: Yes, And I heard you guys talking about that. I
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: totally agree. Like somehow, like when she wore like when she.
- 1:01:55Speaker 4: Went to that basketball game, and I mean anyone else
- 1:01:58Speaker 4: I would have been like hiding under the cover.
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: I cannot watch get her off my screen.
- 1:02:02Speaker 4: I thought it was most hilarious, ridiculous thing.
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: And I'm like, I love it. I love it.
- 1:02:08Speaker 4: I think it has I think it helps that she's
- 1:02:09Speaker 4: like four foot eleven, you know what.
- 1:02:11Speaker 1: I mean, Like it's really part of the whole.
- 1:02:14Speaker 4: Like you just want to scoop her up and put
- 1:02:15Speaker 4: her in your hand, like she's so adorable and her
- 1:02:19Speaker 4: husband's so adorable that like it buys her a lot
- 1:02:21Speaker 4: more runway than somebody else that was that thirsty.
- 1:02:27Speaker 2: Pins.
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: Remember remember last season when they're like we heard your husband.
- 1:02:30Speaker 1: Monica's like, I heard your husband.
- 1:02:31Speaker 4: See, she goes, I'm putting my slowly, what what wonderfu?
- 1:02:41Speaker 2: It's like slow motion. Her voice sounds like a slow motion.
- 1:02:47Speaker 4: Or never, never in twenty years never.
- 1:02:55Speaker 2: And then in another scene she's like, what's something we
- 1:02:58Speaker 2: hear old trom It's like which.
- 1:03:00Speaker 4: One is it? O, babe, It's like share slowed down
- 1:03:07Speaker 4: to Yeah.
- 1:03:10Speaker 2: Before we completely wrap this up, I just want to
- 1:03:12Speaker 2: mention two things, and that is that Whitney's daughter in
- 1:03:16Speaker 2: real life, Bobby, had a major asthma exacerbation this past
- 1:03:21Speaker 2: week and she was in the ICU for three days
- 1:03:24Speaker 2: so and she's doing much much better now, so you know,
- 1:03:28Speaker 2: thank God, and I'm glad that she's okay, but that
- 1:03:31Speaker 2: must have been very tough. And then the other thing
- 1:03:34Speaker 2: is that Bronwyn had posted something on her social media
- 1:03:37Speaker 2: last week about that she was attacked by a dog
- 1:03:41Speaker 2: during filming and she literally had her arm was coming.
- 1:03:46Speaker 2: Did you see that all the last erections on her arm?
- 1:03:49Speaker 2: And I don't really know the story behind that, but
- 1:03:51Speaker 2: she said that that happened during filming.
- 1:03:53Speaker 1: So do we know where Kim Richard's dog is? Remember that.
- 1:04:01Speaker 2: It's send away to a farm somewhere, some salt case somewhere.
- 1:04:06Speaker 2: That makes sense. Anyway, Well, let's wrap up this episode,
- 1:04:11Speaker 2: and Lisa, I know you don't watch The Great British Bakeoff,
- 1:04:14Speaker 2: so you will do that recap now. But Elisa, thank
- 1:04:17Speaker 2: you so much for joining us than.
- 1:04:19Speaker 1: You guys, so much, so fun. And I will watch
- 1:04:22Speaker 1: The British Bakeoff when I retire. I can't wait.
- 1:04:25Speaker 2: Yes, please check out all of her podcasts. They are
- 1:04:29Speaker 2: available now, My Mom's Murder, The Murder Years, Queen of
- 1:04:33Speaker 2: the con and is it first in fright?
- 1:04:37Speaker 1: Is that what it is?
- 1:04:37Speaker 2: It is? It is very exciting and congratulations and people
- 1:04:41Speaker 2: can find you at ayr Underscore Media on Instagram. Right
- 1:04:45Speaker 2: you post it, you.
- 1:04:46Speaker 1: Got it, you got it.
- 1:04:47Speaker 4: I do love you guys, see us, Bye, by bye, Emily.
- 1:04:52Speaker 2: Let's talk about the Great British Bakeoff. And this is
- 1:04:56Speaker 2: episode three. H weak.
- 1:05:01Speaker 5: Yes, and I know you might not know this, but
- 1:05:05Speaker 5: Paul Hollywood and his family are a bread people.
- 1:05:09Speaker 3: They are bakery bread people. Oh wow, Hollywood, it's a
- 1:05:13Speaker 3: real name.
- 1:05:15Speaker 2: Okay, thank you for answering the question that I did have.
- 1:05:18Speaker 2: That is his real last name?
- 1:05:20Speaker 3: Yeah? Yeah, because his parents are Hollywood's.
- 1:05:25Speaker 5: Seriously, Yeah, I didn't realize that and I looked it up. Wait,
- 1:05:30Speaker 5: you just discovered this, Like I knew I know of
- 1:05:34Speaker 5: like the history of his I knew of his parents,
- 1:05:37Speaker 5: of his dad being a baker and a bread person
- 1:05:41Speaker 5: and them having this legacy.
- 1:05:43Speaker 3: But I didn't know they were also Hollywood's.
- 1:05:46Speaker 2: I mean that's not because I just thought it was
- 1:05:48Speaker 2: a nickname.
- 1:05:50Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean it works for him.
- 1:05:52Speaker 2: Yeah, but yeah, wow, the boy the bread lines run
- 1:05:58Speaker 2: deep because the way that he braided or whatever platted, Yeah,
- 1:06:03Speaker 2: wreath was next to nothing.
- 1:06:06Speaker 5: Yes, but that's why everybody gets so nervous about bread week,
- 1:06:11Speaker 5: because Paul Hollywood is like that's his lane, and.
- 1:06:15Speaker 3: They all are like, he's gonna he'll notice everything.
- 1:06:20Speaker 2: Well, Prue was giving it the best reverence she possibly
- 1:06:24Speaker 2: could when she ate that loaf and she was like
- 1:06:27Speaker 2: kissing it, kissing the bread, and I loved every second
- 1:06:31Speaker 2: of it. It was so cute. Yeah, oh, Emily, I
- 1:06:36Speaker 2: was so hungry again, and this is really tough to watch.
- 1:06:39Speaker 2: And I did decide last night that you know, if
- 1:06:43Speaker 2: we could do anything in our lives and have no consequences,
- 1:06:46Speaker 2: I would just eat all day period dot Yeah. Bread,
- 1:06:51Speaker 2: Let's just bread all day.
- 1:06:53Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean, especially like that bread and all the bread.
- 1:06:57Speaker 5: Actually the only thing that I there's very few things
- 1:07:01Speaker 5: actually every single week that I'm like I don't want
- 1:07:04Speaker 5: to eat that.
- 1:07:05Speaker 2: There are several things I don't want to eat, but
- 1:07:07Speaker 2: there's a lot that I.
- 1:07:08Speaker 3: Do want to eat. I want to try everything.
- 1:07:11Speaker 2: I do want to try everything for sure, for sure,
- 1:07:14Speaker 2: and we get this buns challenge. This is the technical
- 1:07:17Speaker 2: challenge or no.
- 1:07:19Speaker 3: This is the signature bake.
- 1:07:21Speaker 5: The savory Buns was this week's signature bake. Yeah, and
- 1:07:27Speaker 5: I and I all this time, we know that because
- 1:07:31Speaker 5: the talk up was that the showstopper is going to
- 1:07:33Speaker 5: be some kind of cornicopia, and I was like, let
- 1:07:35Speaker 5: Alison say cornacopia.
- 1:07:37Speaker 3: I wanted to hear it.
- 1:07:39Speaker 2: Why cornacopia?
- 1:07:41Speaker 5: I wanted to hear those seas hit because Alison really
- 1:07:45Speaker 5: hits up.
- 1:07:45Speaker 2: Who's Alison the co host?
- 1:07:48Speaker 3: Oh?
- 1:07:49Speaker 4: Her?
- 1:07:49Speaker 2: Okay wait? And then who's I'm sorry? And then what
- 1:07:52Speaker 2: the other guy's name? The nu Empire?
- 1:07:54Speaker 3: Okay, yeah that's no.
- 1:07:55Speaker 5: Did you ever watch He's like a comic in the
- 1:07:58Speaker 5: UK or like much like the Mighty Boosh like you No.
- 1:08:02Speaker 2: I never saw that? Okay, that makes sense. He is
- 1:08:05Speaker 2: so funny and you know what Dylan I mean, couldn't.
- 1:08:10Speaker 2: The laugh attack that Dylan had from his jokes was
- 1:08:14Speaker 2: amazing and Noel knew it and he kept going back
- 1:08:18Speaker 2: to that well for more laughs. And I can't blame
- 1:08:20Speaker 2: him for it, you know, but he dropped it in
- 1:08:23Speaker 2: laughter and his bits, and it was so funny.
- 1:08:25Speaker 5: It was so genuine, whereas like Nelly was like no
- 1:08:30Speaker 5: time for this right now?
- 1:08:31Speaker 3: Yeah? Yeah, yeah.
- 1:08:33Speaker 5: I think this was one of Noel's funnier episodes.
- 1:08:37Speaker 2: Okay, because he was so great in this.
- 1:08:39Speaker 3: Yeah yeah.
- 1:08:40Speaker 2: And I credit Dylan for it too, because he was
- 1:08:43Speaker 2: giving him the flowers, you know, yes.
- 1:08:45Speaker 5: Of course, and Dylan, I mean, Dylan was having a
- 1:08:48Speaker 5: great episode kind of yeah.
- 1:08:51Speaker 2: I mean he had an amazing episode.
- 1:08:54Speaker 3: Yeah, I think.
- 1:08:55Speaker 5: Well, and we also got I know, we're bouncing all over,
- 1:08:58Speaker 5: so I'll hand the rain back to you because we're
- 1:09:01Speaker 5: still okay.
- 1:09:02Speaker 2: Nature well I can't remember her name, but she's like
- 1:09:06Speaker 2: they don't trust my triangles when she was Kelly, thank you, Nelly.
- 1:09:10Speaker 3: Yeah, and.
- 1:09:13Speaker 2: Boy oh boy. When the other guy, again I don't
- 1:09:16Speaker 2: know all their names, he's like mushroom and truffle and
- 1:09:19Speaker 2: they're like that's a lot for Like he's like, I
- 1:09:21Speaker 2: love mushrooms. And then the judge was like Christian okay,
- 1:09:25Speaker 2: and he was like, well, you made it for one guy,
- 1:09:28Speaker 2: you know what I mean, Like, well, congratulations, you were
- 1:09:30Speaker 2: making this for one guy. But they ended up loving that,
- 1:09:32Speaker 2: which was very exciting.
- 1:09:35Speaker 5: And yeah, and crew kind of reversed her logic on
- 1:09:38Speaker 5: it too. She's like, I didn't think this would be good,
- 1:09:41Speaker 5: but it's really good.
- 1:09:42Speaker 2: She sure did because it was like the was it
- 1:09:45Speaker 2: mushrooms and pesto that she didn't think we're going to
- 1:09:47Speaker 2: go together? Yeah, and a lot of pesto in this episode.
- 1:09:50Speaker 2: I have to say on pesto, Oh, they are okay,
- 1:09:54Speaker 2: good to know, good to know. Interesting about the second proof,
- 1:09:59Speaker 2: I've never made bread before. Actually, I'm sorry. I have
- 1:10:02Speaker 2: made bread before one time, obviously, like we all did
- 1:10:07Speaker 2: during the pandemic. And I didn't make my starter like
- 1:10:10Speaker 2: from scratch. I got it from the packet and use
- 1:10:13Speaker 2: this a packet, a starter from a packet or whatever.
- 1:10:15Speaker 5: You made sourdough, Yeah, that's yeah, that's when you would
- 1:10:19Speaker 5: use a starter.
- 1:10:21Speaker 2: Oh, you don't always use a starter.
- 1:10:23Speaker 3: It's only for sourdough.
- 1:10:27Speaker 2: Yeah, okay, I did not see that. I know that,
- 1:10:30Speaker 2: and I didn't know that you had to prove it twice,
- 1:10:32Speaker 2: So you proof it once in the bowl and then
- 1:10:35Speaker 2: you put it in whatever vessel it's going to be in,
- 1:10:37Speaker 2: and then you proof it again.
- 1:10:39Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean the starter is basically like a form
- 1:10:42Speaker 5: of like yeast kind of thing, so you could use it.
- 1:10:46Speaker 3: In other things.
- 1:10:47Speaker 5: But like if you have yeasts, then that you don't
- 1:10:50Speaker 5: need the starter. I know some people do both, but
- 1:10:53Speaker 5: the starter's really for sourdough and that's starter. By the way,
- 1:10:57Speaker 5: Like you could hand a starter could have started a
- 1:11:01Speaker 5: hundred years ago and just ke passing along like.
- 1:11:05Speaker 2: That is wild. I've yeah, I heard that, a sour
- 1:11:08Speaker 2: dough starter, you mean, right, yeah, right, that's crazy gene
- 1:11:12Speaker 2: like crazy, yeah, yeah, I mean can you imagine handing
- 1:11:17Speaker 2: down a starter in your family and then being the
- 1:11:19Speaker 2: one that's like, oh my god, I actually threw out
- 1:11:21Speaker 2: the family airloom starter or like.
- 1:11:24Speaker 5: I I had to leave for a really long time
- 1:11:27Speaker 5: and something happened.
- 1:11:28Speaker 3: Yeah, and now it's messed up. Yeah right.
- 1:11:31Speaker 2: Also kind of weird though too. It's like, is this
- 1:11:35Speaker 2: okay to eat? It's been around for a long time, starters.
- 1:11:40Speaker 5: Hundreds of years in some countries, Like it's like the
- 1:11:43Speaker 5: thing that has always been in their family.
- 1:11:46Speaker 2: That's credible. I had no idea. This is blowing my mind. Yeah.
- 1:11:53Speaker 2: Georgie's Pesto Brunch savory buns got the first Hollywood pat,
- 1:11:59Speaker 2: which I thought was and they did look amazing.
- 1:12:02Speaker 3: They did.
- 1:12:03Speaker 5: And I've got to say it seems like and darling
- 1:12:08Speaker 5: bake Off Darlings. It seems like they keep mentioning how
- 1:12:13Speaker 5: good the bakers are becoming right out of like how
- 1:12:17Speaker 5: good their amateur baking is, and that like Paul is really.
- 1:12:22Speaker 3: Struggling to not celebrate each person.
- 1:12:26Speaker 5: So I'm wondering if everybody has just gotten much better
- 1:12:28Speaker 5: because of Bakeoff, because they're all fans of the show
- 1:12:31Speaker 5: and so they're all be kind.
- 1:12:34Speaker 3: Yeah, and so.
- 1:12:37Speaker 5: I still disagree with the first episode handshake, but I
- 1:12:41Speaker 5: did appreciate the pat and I think, like, if you're
- 1:12:46Speaker 5: going to do a handshake now, Paul, like you've got it.
- 1:12:50Speaker 3: I know I'm jumping ahead a bit, but I appreciate
- 1:12:54Speaker 3: all the.
- 1:12:54Speaker 5: Reasons why it's getting a handshake. Don't just give a handshake,
- 1:12:59Speaker 5: don't take get your head down and put that little
- 1:13:01Speaker 5: sausage hand out there.
- 1:13:02Speaker 1: I need to know why.
- 1:13:03Speaker 2: Yeah, we need to know. ABC one, two three, Yeah,
- 1:13:07Speaker 2: break it down. Mike's spiral lamb buns. They looked amazing
- 1:13:13Speaker 2: and I'm I'm here for the lamb uh. Jill's black
- 1:13:17Speaker 2: pudding savory buns looked really good too. Wait, is Chill
- 1:13:23Speaker 2: the one that's killing it in this episode? No, Nelly,
- 1:13:27Speaker 2: Nelly is the one.
- 1:13:27Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:13:28Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:13:29Speaker 2: Somaya's sunflowers were underproofed, which kind of meant that they're dense.
- 1:13:34Speaker 2: So that was always that's interesting to find out because
- 1:13:36Speaker 2: again I don't know anything about bread baking, so to
- 1:13:40Speaker 2: understand what is behind something being underproofed, it comes out
- 1:13:46Speaker 2: on somewhat dense, right.
- 1:13:49Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, yeah, I mean the whole thing, like the
- 1:13:52Speaker 5: that is on breadweek because you're yeah, if you if
- 1:13:57Speaker 5: you lose a step, then you're gonna if you if
- 1:13:59Speaker 5: you have to, if you screw up and have to
- 1:14:01Speaker 5: start again. Like I felt really bad for Andrew because
- 1:14:03Speaker 5: I was like, oh man, he's not gonna have time
- 1:14:06Speaker 5: to prove it, like it's gonna.
- 1:14:07Speaker 2: Be yeah, you can't rush that.
- 1:14:10Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:14:10Speaker 2: So yeah, Okay, So Dylan, it's unbelievable how well he
- 1:14:16Speaker 2: did in this episode, and he well.
- 1:14:18Speaker 3: But no because he came in last too.
- 1:14:23Speaker 5: He just crushed it on the signature.
- 1:14:28Speaker 2: And then the middle challenge he didn't do well, but
- 1:14:30Speaker 2: then the end challenge he did right.
- 1:14:32Speaker 5: Yeah, technical he did not right, So it was yeah,
- 1:14:37Speaker 5: but go yeah, go ahead.
- 1:14:39Speaker 2: But the first and the last he got a handshake
- 1:14:42Speaker 2: and Paul said, you can sell a lot of these
- 1:14:47Speaker 2: and he tasted anything like this before.
- 1:14:50Speaker 5: Yeah, very cool, So that that was fine. Then I
- 1:14:54Speaker 5: was like that, I get it now, I get why
- 1:14:57Speaker 5: there was a handshake when when it's just like wow, man,
- 1:15:01Speaker 5: cinnamon rolls.
- 1:15:03Speaker 2: What So yeah, we got that was amazing to see.
- 1:15:10Speaker 2: And then the plated wreaths were incredible. Love that he did.
- 1:15:16Speaker 2: Paul to the demonstration and then everybody never happened by
- 1:15:20Speaker 2: the way that Paul's never done anything like that before.
- 1:15:22Speaker 3: Well, they never have.
- 1:15:24Speaker 5: Demoed a to my knowledge, that technical has never been
- 1:15:29Speaker 5: a demo. It's usually they've they've changed up the technical
- 1:15:33Speaker 5: a couple of times this season because it's usually like
- 1:15:35Speaker 5: they get to their station and the ingredients are covered and.
- 1:15:38Speaker 1: You just get a little scrap of paper with.
- 1:15:41Speaker 5: Brief directions and then they give you a bad hint
- 1:15:44Speaker 5: and then they leave the tent. So the demo is different.
- 1:15:48Speaker 2: Okay, it was a great demo. Has Paul ever done
- 1:15:51Speaker 2: a demonstration before, like shown him what he can do?
- 1:15:56Speaker 2: In all these seasons, was this the first?
- 1:15:59Speaker 5: That's a good question, because I know that he's he's
- 1:16:02Speaker 5: rolled up his sleeves here and there, but okay, and
- 1:16:05Speaker 5: maybe like jammed a hand somewhere, like in there.
- 1:16:09Speaker 3: He's always pushing and pulling.
- 1:16:11Speaker 5: He's always like pushing that index finger right, like sponge
- 1:16:15Speaker 5: is dry. But like I'm trying to but I have
- 1:16:18Speaker 5: seen him do something I can't remember if it was
- 1:16:20Speaker 5: on bake off or something else. So that's why I'm
- 1:16:22Speaker 5: having a hard time.
- 1:16:23Speaker 2: Okay, no problem. Well that it shows that obviously if
- 1:16:26Speaker 2: it has happened, it certainly doesn't happen very often. And
- 1:16:29Speaker 2: this was a big deal now, like you said, Andrew
- 1:16:33Speaker 2: didn't have another time because he put the egg in
- 1:16:35Speaker 2: the ingredients for the dough instead of using it as the.
- 1:16:39Speaker 5: Wash, right, because you don't know that's part of the
- 1:16:42Speaker 5: technical You have to like kind of figure out what
- 1:16:45Speaker 5: goes to what kind.
- 1:16:46Speaker 2: Of everyone's like brushing theirs like the fuck. I thought
- 1:16:52Speaker 2: it was really interesting how Dylan used like plastic wrap
- 1:16:57Speaker 2: strands to practice the weaving, and then Nellie makes a
- 1:17:03Speaker 2: little tiny baby one and like, yeah, I thought that
- 1:17:06Speaker 2: was really really smart. Nellie's wreath winds, which was incredible.
- 1:17:12Speaker 2: It was absolute perfection. So Maya came in second, and
- 1:17:17Speaker 2: you know.
- 1:17:18Speaker 5: I was like, oh, the wise it expands too much
- 1:17:22Speaker 5: in the oven, like.
- 1:17:30Speaker 2: Her burrets are slowly getting lower on her hair. As
- 1:17:34Speaker 2: the episode goes on, I'm like.
- 1:17:36Speaker 1: Dave, what are they doing?
- 1:17:39Speaker 5: You know?
- 1:17:40Speaker 2: You I this show has surprised me because it's not
- 1:17:44Speaker 2: exactly what I thought it was going to be. I
- 1:17:46Speaker 2: thought that I could go in here and just watch
- 1:17:50Speaker 2: the baking, watch the cooking, whatever it is, and get
- 1:17:54Speaker 2: out pretty unscathed in terms of feeling anything for anybody
- 1:17:58Speaker 2: that's deep or emotional. And for that I'm not thrilled
- 1:18:04Speaker 2: about because I thought that I could kind of sit
- 1:18:06Speaker 2: back and just enjoy. But when Nelly said and not
- 1:18:09Speaker 2: a confessional, but kind of like a confessional, she's out
- 1:18:12Speaker 2: on the grass and she's like, it's aboutty hard for me.
- 1:18:14Speaker 2: It will take compliments because all of my mafet wasn't
- 1:18:16Speaker 2: coold enough.
- 1:18:17Speaker 1: And I'm like, I know, man, that's how they get you.
- 1:18:24Speaker 4: Well.
- 1:18:24Speaker 2: I don't want not because I don't want to have
- 1:18:26Speaker 2: to feel the sadness and pain, but I was, and
- 1:18:30Speaker 2: I felt bad for her. And I love Nelly so
- 1:18:33Speaker 2: much and I want to hang out with her.
- 1:18:35Speaker 5: I said it before, but I'll say it again, give
- 1:18:38Speaker 5: her one of the spin offs.
- 1:18:40Speaker 3: Have her co host with Liam. He was a previous.
- 1:18:43Speaker 5: Contestant that kind of co hosts some of these, and
- 1:18:46Speaker 5: the two of them together would be great as a
- 1:18:49Speaker 5: side spinoff bake show. Oh my gosh, Amy and Darlings.
- 1:18:54Speaker 5: If you haven't watched the Junior Bake Off, Maddie, I
- 1:18:59Speaker 5: think we'd get into it.
- 1:19:01Speaker 3: They're all kids, are all little British kids and oh
- 1:19:03Speaker 3: stop yeah, and they're good bakers.
- 1:19:07Speaker 2: And that's super cute. And they're all wearing the jumpers.
- 1:19:11Speaker 5: Yes, and like you know, it's really it's fun and yeah,
- 1:19:17Speaker 5: it's really cool.
- 1:19:18Speaker 3: So I recommend that, Okay, I will.
- 1:19:19Speaker 2: I tried to get Maddie to watch this with me
- 1:19:21Speaker 2: last night, but she didn't want to. She wanted, she
- 1:19:24Speaker 2: just didn't want to, and I was upset, but whatever
- 1:19:27Speaker 2: do you do?
- 1:19:28Speaker 3: What are you gonna do?
- 1:19:30Speaker 2: So then we get to the showstopper and the bread
- 1:19:35Speaker 2: Cornicopia or Horn of Plenty Cornacopia.
- 1:19:39Speaker 5: That's what I needed, a whole episode cornacopia, but I
- 1:19:43Speaker 5: didn't get it.
- 1:19:45Speaker 2: It's so good too. It feels good to even hear.
- 1:19:48Speaker 3: It that way.
- 1:19:49Speaker 2: Yeah, and by the way, when I was on Cook
- 1:19:51Speaker 2: and Kibbits with Doug Butden. Did I say kibbits kibbits
- 1:19:57Speaker 2: when I was on Cook and Kibbits peat Doug Butten.
- 1:20:01Speaker 2: Please don't tell him I pronounced it wrong. He'll be mad.
- 1:20:05Speaker 2: And this was like last year, I want to say,
- 1:20:08Speaker 2: or I don't know, I don't know how long ago.
- 1:20:10Speaker 2: But anyway, we made a cornacopia and we did it
- 1:20:14Speaker 2: out of pizza dough. It was his thing. He's like, Okay, dude,
- 1:20:16Speaker 2: we're gonna do it on pizza do We're gonna wrap
- 1:20:18Speaker 2: it around the tinfoil and we did the whole thing.
- 1:20:20Speaker 2: It was so cool. So you can do it at home.
- 1:20:22Speaker 2: Just use pizza dough.
- 1:20:24Speaker 5: That looks yeah, that's yeah. That well, watching this, I
- 1:20:28Speaker 5: was like, that looks like you could. Really anybody could
- 1:20:31Speaker 5: try this. Yeah, like I want to try it.
- 1:20:33Speaker 3: You should.
- 1:20:34Speaker 2: And if you don't want to like raise the stakes
- 1:20:36Speaker 2: by making your own dough, then just use already made
- 1:20:40Speaker 2: dough or pizza no.
- 1:20:42Speaker 1: So there you go.
- 1:20:43Speaker 2: How did Dylan get the black dough?
- 1:20:48Speaker 5: I think, well, I don't I should remember this, but
- 1:20:51Speaker 5: I'm sure it was like a sesame seed.
- 1:20:52Speaker 2: That's what I was thinking too, okay, the fact that
- 1:20:55Speaker 2: it was a cat a cat cornucopia.
- 1:20:59Speaker 3: But I'm so glad no called it a tim Burton.
- 1:21:03Speaker 5: Oh yeah, because that's what it looked like to me.
- 1:21:06Speaker 3: I was like, is he doing a is there a
- 1:21:08Speaker 3: beetlejuice tie in? Because it was so in that.
- 1:21:11Speaker 2: World, too modern and just abstract, like an abstract cat
- 1:21:15Speaker 2: cornic help. Yeah.
- 1:21:17Speaker 5: But the whole time they were doing these, I was like, man,
- 1:21:20Speaker 5: I just want to crack up at a couple of
- 1:21:21Speaker 5: Pillsbury cans and wrap those around a corner.
- 1:21:24Speaker 3: Kope.
- 1:21:25Speaker 2: Oh yeah, I just want to crack open a Pillsbury
- 1:21:27Speaker 2: can and just eat it raw, Like yeah, fuck a horn, Yeah,
- 1:21:32Speaker 2: I just want to a horn and that too.
- 1:21:38Speaker 5: Horn while I'm watching while I'm eating a Cannillsbury.
- 1:21:43Speaker 3: Dope. It was the left turn that every proper brit
- 1:21:47Speaker 3: is like.
- 1:21:50Speaker 2: Are you kidding me? They probably were saying that left
- 1:21:52Speaker 2: and right because they love, I mean, they love, but
- 1:21:58Speaker 2: how are your bum Can I tatch your buns? Let
- 1:22:01Speaker 2: me squeeze your buns? Your buns aren't done yet, your
- 1:22:03Speaker 2: buns are too hot. They just kept going and going.
- 1:22:06Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, they usually get prue into some hilarious word
- 1:22:11Speaker 5: situation where she's like.
- 1:22:13Speaker 3: I didn't mean to fuck your grandmother. I was calling it.
- 1:22:17Speaker 3: The name of the cookie is called a fuck your grandmother.
- 1:22:20Speaker 5: Why are you all acting like this?
- 1:22:23Speaker 2: This is absurd, so good, I's so English. I love it.
- 1:22:29Speaker 3: Well, say biscuit. The biscuit is called the fuck your grandmother. Yeah,
- 1:22:34Speaker 3: the billhead.
- 1:22:34Speaker 2: You're right. John is breaking down because the bagels didn't rise,
- 1:22:41Speaker 2: and this is soul crushing because he's like, I mean
- 1:22:45Speaker 2: bagels all the time. I make them bagels and make
- 1:22:47Speaker 2: them in asleep, and make him a night and make
- 1:22:48Speaker 2: him in the morning. I just made him before came
- 1:22:50Speaker 2: here rising. And this is what's so upsetting, because you
- 1:22:54Speaker 2: know this person is capable of crushing this task, and
- 1:22:57Speaker 2: yet for some weird reason, he doesn't. And so Alison
- 1:23:02Speaker 2: takes him out and which was really nice, and she
- 1:23:05Speaker 2: gives him the pep talk and she's like, someone could
- 1:23:07Speaker 2: still fall over. Cut to Andy's falling apart, but it
- 1:23:11Speaker 2: wasn't enough to get Andy to go home, and John
- 1:23:14Speaker 2: obviously goes home and he understands it.
- 1:23:16Speaker 5: One bad days he did have, like if you're gonna
- 1:23:22Speaker 5: go out early, he does have a star baker under
- 1:23:25Speaker 5: his belt.
- 1:23:26Speaker 3: So that's pretty great. It's just wild that, like there
- 1:23:30Speaker 3: was so much like.
- 1:23:33Speaker 5: They kept calling it, You're cursed, You're the first star baker,
- 1:23:36Speaker 5: like they kept saying it, and then he left and
- 1:23:39Speaker 5: I was like, oh god.
- 1:23:40Speaker 3: I know it happened.
- 1:23:41Speaker 2: It's true. They made it.
- 1:23:42Speaker 3: Yeah, and I don't know.
- 1:23:45Speaker 5: Again, you probably wouldn't have clocked this, but in terms
- 1:23:48Speaker 5: of lot of the bake off Officionado Darlings, the when
- 1:23:53Speaker 5: Allison said to Andy, did you bring ten hats?
- 1:23:57Speaker 3: Are you gonna change your hat?
- 1:23:58Speaker 5: And so then I was like, okay, so they're not
- 1:24:01Speaker 5: going home again in between because that they used to
- 1:24:05Speaker 5: go home in between, but during COVID they were kind
- 1:24:07Speaker 5: of all they all had to stay there. But I
- 1:24:10Speaker 5: looked online and somebody and read it was asking the
- 1:24:13Speaker 5: same thing. And then I looked a little bit further
- 1:24:17Speaker 5: and I found like a production article and they, I think,
- 1:24:24Speaker 5: have the same hotel room, but they are going home
- 1:24:27Speaker 5: in between, but they packed all their stuff and they
- 1:24:30Speaker 5: have like a space that they come back to.
- 1:24:32Speaker 2: Oh that makes sense because some of them have said
- 1:24:35Speaker 2: I was just working on this this morning, and I'm like, right,
- 1:24:38Speaker 2: I couldn't have been working on in the hotel. But
- 1:24:40Speaker 2: that makes sense. It's like a kind of a pit
- 1:24:42Speaker 2: stop place that they need to go back and rest.
- 1:24:44Speaker 3: Yeah, because they work during the week.
- 1:24:46Speaker 5: They all have jobs and all responsibilities, and I don't
- 1:24:51Speaker 5: think that they're paid, so like, yeah.
- 1:24:57Speaker 2: If they're not paid, that would be weird.
- 1:25:01Speaker 3: It's not that weird in the UK. Wow. Yeah, yep, Okay.
- 1:25:08Speaker 5: I don't have I mean that I need, but that's
- 1:25:10Speaker 5: my understanding that they are not paid.
- 1:25:13Speaker 2: Okay, Dylan. I just want to talk about Dylan's cat cornicopia.
- 1:25:16Speaker 2: That he had whipped bone marrow and he had a
- 1:25:19Speaker 2: mini donut, which that put me over. I was like,
- 1:25:23Speaker 2: that mini donut looked about the most perfect thing I've
- 1:25:25Speaker 2: ever seen in my life. And then some sort of
- 1:25:27Speaker 2: twisted cinnamon looking thing and that looked incredible. His bread,
- 1:25:32Speaker 2: by god, I mean, why is he so good?
- 1:25:35Speaker 3: Well, he's not because he failed the technical boom.
- 1:25:38Speaker 1: There you have.
- 1:25:39Speaker 5: Oh, because guess what, I thought he was really good.
- 1:25:42Speaker 5: But I thought it was Nellie's star baker.
- 1:25:45Speaker 2: I really wanted her to win.
- 1:25:48Speaker 3: Yeah, because she was consistent, and I always wonder. I
- 1:25:52Speaker 3: always think it's.
- 1:25:53Speaker 2: About oh interesting, I see it.
- 1:25:55Speaker 5: Consistent on each let on each bake and being a
- 1:25:59Speaker 5: like you add up all the bakes together kind of thing.
- 1:26:03Speaker 2: So for Dyl makes sense. Now I'm actually really pissed.
- 1:26:06Speaker 3: Yeah, so for Dylan to win, it really was.
- 1:26:12Speaker 5: I felt Paul Hollywood saying he's so fucking good that
- 1:26:17Speaker 5: I have to disregard everything and give it to Dylan.
- 1:26:20Speaker 5: So yeah, and Proof will go along with it because
- 1:26:24Speaker 5: it's bread week and that's Paul's.
- 1:26:26Speaker 2: Well, she's busy making out with a slice of his
- 1:26:28Speaker 2: bread in the corner.
- 1:26:33Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:26:33Speaker 2: Well, hopefully Nellie will get it another time and and
- 1:26:37Speaker 2: her consistency will you know, come to the surface and
- 1:26:41Speaker 2: she will be a winner.
- 1:26:44Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:26:45Speaker 2: Wow, she did kill it. Okay, Well, why don't we
- 1:26:48Speaker 2: wrap up there? Unless there's anything else you want to
- 1:26:50Speaker 2: say about the Great British Bake Off.
- 1:26:54Speaker 3: No, I think I'm I'm good.
- 1:26:57Speaker 5: We'll say that Paul Hollywood said it's the best breadweek
- 1:27:01Speaker 5: that they've had.
- 1:27:02Speaker 7: Wow.
- 1:27:03Speaker 3: Oh okay, yeah.
- 1:27:06Speaker 2: That's incredible. Okay, these people are amazing. Oh I'm sorry.
- 1:27:12Speaker 2: Last thing I will say is that Andy had a
- 1:27:16Speaker 2: Detroit style pizza thing which I thought was hilarious in.
- 1:27:20Speaker 3: His New York cornycopia.
- 1:27:23Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, New York. That was kind of a It
- 1:27:27Speaker 2: was a mess, you know, it was such a mess
- 1:27:30Speaker 2: and it had so much stuff coming out that and
- 1:27:34Speaker 2: then the thing was all smashed down.
- 1:27:36Speaker 3: That was tough.
- 1:27:37Speaker 2: Yeah, school, yes, wait wait sorry. Andy's was the pride, right.
- 1:27:47Speaker 5: And he went and John was the John's was the pride.
- 1:27:51Speaker 3: But but I don't think it tasted good. I think
- 1:27:54Speaker 3: it looked good. That's I prove is like it's a
- 1:27:57Speaker 3: good centerpiece.
- 1:27:59Speaker 2: Yeah, it looks beautiful. But Andy's was the one that
- 1:28:03Speaker 2: was really small and then like everything was coming out.
- 1:28:07Speaker 2: Yeah silly, all right. So next week is CAMA week.
- 1:28:15Speaker 2: Thankful Camel, So I'm a week going to show up
- 1:28:18Speaker 2: for that. I'm very happy. Thank you so much for listening.
