- 0:00Hello folks. This is Princess.
- 0:03You are listening to the Millennial Mustard Seed Podcast.
- 0:06Thanks for listening. Don't forget to share with your
- 0:08friends. That's tough.
- 0:11We're in a very tough spot. I think that what we're doing
- 0:14right now is a great benefit and virtue because it's an end
- 0:19around between this whole corrupt informational system,
- 0:23media system. We claim to believe in a God who
- 0:26spoke the universe into existence and literally raised
- 0:30himself from the dead, and yet we are not going to believe that
- 0:34anything else exists in the spirit realm, even though his
- 0:37word tells us that they do. Their bodies weren't permitted
- 0:41to go to sleep like humans do, and they weren't permitted to go
- 0:45to heaven, so they wander the earth.
- 0:49You know, I've seen the eyes turn black to unknown tongues
- 0:52being spoken. These giants would live way up
- 0:56in the Highland. The young Braves, the young men
- 0:58would hide up in the trees and wait for one of these 12 footers
- 1:02to come walking down the path. And they would jump on them and
- 1:05kill them, drag them back to the village and the village would
- 1:08feast on the body freedom. Then people start to get
- 1:16weapons, they start to get armor, they start to build
- 1:18cities, they start to fortify their cities.
- 1:20Now God looks down and there's violence everywhere.
- 1:24The battle, this war that we are at, is not against each other.
- 1:28It's against these principalities and these rulers
- 1:30and these archons in the high places.
- 1:32It's really worthwhile to read the Bible yourself.
- 1:35Fear is one of the primary drivers of mind control, because
- 1:39we have to take every thought captive and resist fear.
- 1:46You're going to have a testimony that is a justice case against
- 1:51the Kingdom of Darkness. Welcome back to the Millennial
- 2:03Mustard Seed Podcast. I am your host, Rod, and thank
- 2:06you for being here with me for another awesome episode.
- 2:10But this isn't just any episode. This is episode 100 and it's
- 2:16very special because I am joined by the one and only Basil
- 2:21Rosewater from Canary Cry Radio. Many of you may know him from
- 2:27Canary Cry News Talk. This episode is a big deal for
- 2:31me because it was Basil and Gonz who encouraged me, strangely
- 2:37enough in 2017, through listening to their podcast
- 2:42Canary Cry Radio, to take a step of faith and start my own
- 2:46podcast. And this is kind of full circle.
- 2:50Sir Basil and I have a really cool conversation.
- 2:53I ask him some questions. We talk a little bit of like
- 2:56podcast shop talk. Basil shares with us advice,
- 3:00oversight, you know, just climactical points of
- 3:03podcasting, how it started, the content that they're covering
- 3:07now, warning what to look out for.
- 3:10And towards the end of the episode, he shares a
- 3:12supernatural encounter that he had that he's never shared
- 3:17anywhere else on air before. Gonz will be on in the near
- 3:22future, but for right now I want you guys to enjoy episode 100
- 3:26here on the Mustard Seed with Sir Basil And you guys don't
- 3:31forget to leave me that five star rating and review that
- 3:34helps the show grow in the details.
- 3:36In the show notes. You guys want to help us in our
- 3:39time of need? You can donate right there.
- 3:42We appreciate you guys praying for us, all of the
- 3:45encouragement. And for taking this journey with
- 3:48me here on the Millennium Mustard C podcast.
- 3:51But I won't waste any more time because we have basil here from
- 3:55Canary Cry Radio and I'm ready to jump into this episode.
- 3:59Are you guys ready? Let's go.
- 4:14Hey everybody, your best buddy Basil here from Canary Cry News
- 4:18Talk. And I want to welcome you to the
- 4:21Millennial Mustard Seed Podcast. Basil, what is going on, man?
- 4:28That was an epic introduction, and it is a honor to be with you
- 4:32here on the Mustard Seed, bro. Thank you very much, Rod.
- 4:35I'm happy to be here, man. Uniquely, you and Gonz.
- 4:39Inspired me to take the step to start podcasting while listening
- 4:43to you guys in 2017. Yes, I love.
- 4:46It. I love that.
- 4:48I love hearing that. And yeah, you know, there's a
- 4:52lot of people out there that want to start podcasting and it
- 4:56takes a big leap. It takes, you know, some serious
- 5:00inspiration. You know, I don't know if you
- 5:03being inspired by us means that, you know, we made it look easy.
- 5:08Or something. Or like, Oh my gosh, if these
- 5:12guys can do it, I can certainly do it.
- 5:15So in a nutshell, what was happening is in my mind, I'm
- 5:18wrestling through all this stuff.
- 5:20I had a supernatural life. I have all these questions.
- 5:23I kind of always felt like the enemy was trying to get me to
- 5:25keep my mouth shut, if you will, you know, through like physical
- 5:28trauma to my face all the way to, you know, having trouble
- 5:32talking as a kid and just like all this stuff over the course
- 5:34of my life. So I'm like in my mid 20s and.
- 5:39I'm listening to you guys at work at the factory, and I'm
- 5:42feeling like the burning down in the gut like this is true that
- 5:46you know Doctor Chuck Missler at the time, I'm listening to him
- 5:50like falling out of my chair and I'm going, nobody else is
- 5:53talking about this like, like this is like a phenomenon to
- 5:57find you and guns. And I'm like, OK, so here's.
- 6:01You know, something for me to kind of cling on to and be like,
- 6:04well, there's other voices out there and I remember wrestling
- 6:06through like day by day as I'm kind of like listening to your
- 6:08guys shows at that time on Canary Cry radio and then
- 6:12finally just being like, you know what?
- 6:15Well, I'm going to take a step of faith and I'm going to start
- 6:17talking about what's in my mind, what I'm thinking, the puzzle
- 6:20pieces I'm putting together and I'm going to be unashamed about
- 6:23it. So you guys like kind of like
- 6:24lead in that way and we're demonstrating you can do this
- 6:28and I. You know, I was listening like
- 6:30Sasquatch Chronicles at the time and like between just nobody
- 6:36else, really like being bold and courageous and bringing that
- 6:39stuff out. I'm like, man, you and Gonz were
- 6:42like, you guys were it, man. I'm like, these guys are doing
- 6:46it. You know what I mean?
- 6:47I'm like, I want to. I want to do what they're doing.
- 6:49So yeah, that that really pushed me into starting the first show.
- 6:53That's great man. I'm very humbled to hear that.
- 6:56Yeah, you know, it was a weird time.
- 6:57When we started back in 2012, there was no sort of new guard
- 7:03coming up in in that kind of space.
- 7:05The Fringy Space and Future Quake had just done their last
- 7:11show and that's when Gonz and I had.
- 7:15We were Co workers for a long time and we kind of worked in
- 7:18the same room but literally never spoke to each other.
- 7:21Right around the time when future quake shut down, that's
- 7:26when we kind of met and we're like oh you're weird too.
- 7:29I'm weird too. And we were working at a mega
- 7:31church at the at the time in the tech department and so suddenly,
- 7:36you know we are two quiet guys working in the same department
- 7:39who really never talked about anything to just really getting
- 7:45into it on the company dime. In fact we got in trouble for
- 7:49using church property to record our first podcast.
- 7:53But yeah it's it's been very interesting since we started to
- 7:59see the, I mean not even just in the fringy Christian space,
- 8:05although that is a a big part of it, but just the whole world.
- 8:09You know, we often joke Gonz and I like, oh jeez, if, you know,
- 8:15if this is a simulation, like they're running it off of our
- 8:19podcast, Like they're, you know, it's like all the craziest stuff
- 8:23that we could talk about. Whether it was, you know, aliens
- 8:28in a biblical worldview or cryptozoology or the government
- 8:31or, you know, secret society, whatever it was, year after
- 8:36year, it just kept coming true, just one thing after another.
- 8:41We're like, oh, my goodness. And thankfully the, you know,
- 8:47the next generation of people talking about this have grown up
- 8:53and you're definitely a part of that.
- 8:55And we're we're just stoked. We're always stoked to hear that
- 8:59somebody was inspired to start a podcast because of us.
- 9:02Because here's the thing, we had no idea what we were doing when
- 9:05we started. It was a slow moving train,
- 9:08folks. It was, you know, it took us a
- 9:10year to get to 100 listeners. Now, of course, podcasts was
- 9:16totally different back then. Nobody knew what it is.
- 9:18You know, it was not the sort of cultural phenomenon that it is
- 9:21now. So a lot of our sort of struggle
- 9:25was just trying to teach people what a podcast is.
- 9:30And you know, there we got to give credit to sort of the the
- 9:33fathers of the genre. Of course there's been, you
- 9:38know, the generation before us has been talking about stuff
- 9:40like this for a long time. They've been doing it for a lot
- 9:44longer than we have. But you know, they're retiring.
- 9:47I hope they're retiring, although you can't assume that
- 9:51with podcasters and fringe researchers and stuff, you know,
- 9:55there's no quality retirement plan there.
- 9:59But yeah, it's been really fun to a continue podcasting, which
- 10:06is the hardest part about podcasting for anybody out there
- 10:10listening. I've walked, you know, a dozen
- 10:13people or so through starting a podcast previously.
- 10:17I've started many myself and it is really not hard to start.
- 10:23But what is extremely difficult is to keep going because you'll
- 10:28go a year and not see a lot of, you know, a lot of growth.
- 10:33You'll go two years. And I this is almost down to a
- 10:39science. I have it here around between 40
- 10:43and 60 episodes, and I this might not be what you wanted to
- 10:47talk about, but just to try to inspire other people between
- 10:50four episode 40 and episode 60, that's the danger zone.
- 10:56That means you've been doing it for about a year and it starts
- 11:00to feel like work. You really kind of, you know, 40
- 11:04to 60 episodes, you can pretty much cover everything that
- 11:09inspired you to start podcasting.
- 11:13And somewhere between 40 and 60, you kind of look around and
- 11:16you're like, oh gosh, I interviewed everybody who I
- 11:20could. I talked about every topic that
- 11:23I could. I'm a year in and I'm not like
- 11:26seeing any growth or anything. And it really becomes a slog.
- 11:31So I tell every person trying to get into podcasting, it's easy
- 11:35to start, roll with it, use that momentum, but be prepared.
- 11:40Because between episode 40 and 60, that is the danger zone
- 11:46where most podcasts sort of drop off.
- 11:49And I'm speaking from experience as well.
- 11:51I have two other podcasts, Rabble and The Joy Spearcy
- 11:55Theory, which both made it to about 60 episodes.
- 11:59Until you know the IT just, you know, you get a year in.
- 12:03Your schedule is different, your life is different, your it, it
- 12:06it becomes work at that point. So have fun with it for a year.
- 12:11After that year, consider it your purpose.
- 12:15It must be your job. It must be your purpose.
- 12:19And when I mean job, I mean, of course make money.
- 12:22However, you need to make money. The chances of making money
- 12:25podcasting are extremely slim. But you know, after 4060
- 12:30episodes, that's when the rubber meets the road and you gotta dig
- 12:35in. You gotta dig in, keep your
- 12:38schedule, and just keep petitioning the Lord for
- 12:41inspiration 'cause it gets rough.
- 12:44Yeah, wow, Wise words, man. And yeah, there's a lot of new
- 12:49podcasts that that I talk with that are right at that year
- 12:52marker. You know, we talk kind of like
- 12:54privately and and I've been doing this for just a few years.
- 12:57So it's like there's kind of like, hey, is there any hope at
- 13:00the 3rd and 4th year marker? And I'm like personally passion,
- 13:06like you know, it's like drive. There's always hope, But you
- 13:11know, it's really when you, and this is a good thing to learn in
- 13:14life in general, which is, you know, external gratification can
- 13:21only get you so far. But then after that, around
- 13:25episode 40, you have to start going into some internal
- 13:28motivation. You you have to remember why
- 13:33you're doing it. You need to, you know, set goals
- 13:36and work towards those goals. And it really does.
- 13:38It turns into really just like anything in the world, you know,
- 13:42you gotta have that internal motivation and my goodness, just
- 13:46pray that the Lord keeps you inspired 'cause that's the
- 13:49biggest part of it. Very interesting.
- 13:53Well I mean for you, you've you guys are O GS in the podcast
- 13:57game like you and Gonz have been doing this.
- 13:59Like I think you guys were like the second podcast I really ever
- 14:01listened to. It was like sounds about
- 14:03Chronicles and then you guys. And then once, you know, like
- 14:06I'm like Christian weird, I'm like I'm hooked.
- 14:08Like I I just, I'm in. So give us some like a 30,000
- 14:13foot view of what things have looked like, you know, since you
- 14:17turned to Canary Cry news talk. I know that started around the
- 14:202020 marker. Just give us like a real quick
- 14:22brief overview of that. And because that was birthed out
- 14:26of Canary Cry radio, Yes. And it actually started a little
- 14:29bit sooner. It's funny because 20 is when we
- 14:33sort of blew up in the way that we have.
- 14:36But again, another testament to the requirement that you just
- 14:44stick with it. So we started Canary Cry Radio
- 14:47in 2012 and we did that for about four years and we kind of
- 14:54became very inconsistent. I we are still making great
- 14:57content, but you know, life changes a lot after four years.
- 15:01The consistency had gone down, some stuff like that and we
- 15:07really started kinnary crying news talk simply as a practice
- 15:12inconsistency. We said what can we do to
- 15:15guarantee that we can do something long lasting.
- 15:20We can do it consistently. It won't burn us out.
- 15:24It won't take away from what we already got going on in life.
- 15:27It really started as sort of a, you know, a self improvement
- 15:32project. And so you know, we started News
- 15:36talk in 2016 and it was a 29 minute show once a week.
- 15:45And again we kind of made these rules because of course once you
- 15:49get podcasting, you know, the app, the the episode starts
- 15:52reaching out to like three and four hours if you're not
- 15:55careful. You know, if you're not careful
- 15:58you can really let it kind of take too much time.
- 16:02So we very specifically said, OK, we're going to do it.
- 16:05The one goal is to keep doing it every week.
- 16:08So we did a 29 minute episode, once a week, no more, no less.
- 16:14And we did that from 2016 to 2020, just every week.
- 16:21And we were surprising ourselves.
- 16:23We're like, Oh my gosh, look at us go, man.
- 16:26By that time, you know, we were basically had reached the same
- 16:31amount of time that we had been doing Canary Cry radio before we
- 16:36started. And we're like, OK, we did it.
- 16:40And keeping it short, like that was great because we weren't
- 16:44taking up people, too much of people's time.
- 16:46We weren't taking too much of our time.
- 16:49It was a practice and editing a practice and making things
- 16:52shorter. And that was really sort of a
- 16:57revolution for us. Now somebody out there may be
- 17:01hearing me ramble on and say it doesn't seem like you learned
- 17:04the lesson to keep things short, but that's what it really was
- 17:08about. And with that, you know, trying
- 17:11to pack as much production quality and as much quality
- 17:15content. And for us, you know, we're we
- 17:18just are not gonna do something if we're not having fun.
- 17:21We're that's just our temperament.
- 17:23Like if something isn't fun anymore, it just kind of loses
- 17:27our interest. So since we're making these 29
- 17:30minute episodes, we put a lot of jingles and work into keeping
- 17:35the pace, covering stories that we thought were important and
- 17:40building upon sort of the Canary cry radio world view that we had
- 17:44laid down for about four years. And you know, it's a little bit
- 17:48cheating because we did carry over a percentage of our Canary
- 17:53Cry radio listeners to Canary Cry news talk.
- 17:56So we got a little bit of a boost, which not a lot of people
- 18:00get. And I recognize that that is a a
- 18:03big part of what can make a podcast work is you know having
- 18:07a built in audience. So we did that.
- 18:11We did it for four years. We're like this is incredible,
- 18:14we've never done anything this consistently And then boom,
- 18:17COVID hit and you know I had always, I had always had another
- 18:24job. I, you know, I was always
- 18:26working. We were not sort of
- 18:28professionally podcasting wasn't paying the bills the whole time.
- 18:34I mean, thankfully we had some really generous listeners who
- 18:38want wanted to help out and that built very slowly, but it was,
- 18:42it was not enough to live off of.
- 18:44But then COVID hit and all my other job prospects disappeared.
- 18:49There was nothing I could do, you know, instantly sort of
- 18:54money problems. And so guns.
- 18:57And I said, hey, you know what, We've done this show this long.
- 19:02Let's just see what else we can do.
- 19:04Let's keep it rolling. We are very inspired by a show
- 19:08called No Agenda with Adam Curry and John C Dvorak is a big
- 19:13career professional highlight of mine.
- 19:16To get Adam Curry on Kinnar Crying News Talk a couple
- 19:20episodes ago is huge, kind of a fun full circle thing.
- 19:25So that in the sort of storyline of our podcasting career is very
- 19:29cool. But Long story short, we
- 19:32basically lifted their model and you know, we're not, you know,
- 19:37somebody has criticism of that. That's fine.
- 19:39We have no shame that, you know, we had a show, it was working
- 19:43COVID hit, we had no money and we switched over to the value
- 19:49for value model, switched over to, I mean, man, early COVID,
- 19:53some of those episodes were regularly going 4 hours three
- 19:58times a week. We go from once a week, a 129
- 20:02minute episode, once a week to 3/4 hour episodes a week.
- 20:07I mean, that gives you kind of the idea of what those early
- 20:10days of lockdowns, you know, the kind of time we had on our hands
- 20:15and really somehow by the grace of God.
- 20:20And by the foundation that we laid with our practice and
- 20:23consistency beforehand, somehow we have pretty much been able to
- 20:29do 3 episodes a week, hopefully not a full full 4 hours without
- 20:35fail. And you know, we have failed a
- 20:38couple times, but we're still doing it, we're still doing it,
- 20:42and it's still working. And man, am I just like, I don't
- 20:47know. I don't have the words to truly
- 20:49express how absolutely blown away I am.
- 20:54I mean, I tell people all the time in in my life, online,
- 20:59whatever. I literally think that I am the
- 21:02luckiest human alive. I mean, I take stock of the
- 21:06blessings that God's given me and given guns and everything.
- 21:11And like, I don't know, man, I would pretty much put up the
- 21:14blessings God has given me up against anybody who thinks
- 21:18they're the luckiest person alive, whether that's true or
- 21:22not, you know, whatever. But it feels nice to live in
- 21:26that space of gratitude, because, you know, I can barely
- 21:30believe it. And the only thing we can do is
- 21:33just keep going. Perspective is everything, man,
- 21:37and it's so fascinating to like, Come to hear.
- 21:40You know, just like where your heart's at with it after all
- 21:43this time, You know, to like all these years of like hearing your
- 21:46voice. Like I remember being in the
- 21:49factory and just like it's like grueling.
- 21:51And like when COVID hit for me, it was like I was an essential
- 21:54worker. So like, we were like I was
- 21:56working mandatory Fridays on 2nd shift at the time, like it was
- 21:59crazy. And so I worked probably the
- 22:03most through 2020 and like the rest of the world, was on
- 22:07Paul's. So there was like a lot of stuff
- 22:09where it was like just hearing your voice all those years now
- 22:12sitting in front of you and seeing the googly eyes and like
- 22:15getting to hear like, you know, you're hard on this.
- 22:18And like, you know, I know for me like one of these rewards
- 22:21that I've just kind of been seeing is like messages and like
- 22:25audio messages from other people being like.
- 22:28Thanks for creating this content.
- 22:30You know, like we did some episodes with Doctor Robert
- 22:32Rodich on like you know frequency and different
- 22:35different. We get really fringe on the
- 22:36mustard seed, but we also talk about just faith and just basic
- 22:40things like miracles still happen.
- 22:42God is still in the move. So it's a really wide spectrum.
- 22:44But hearing people say, hey, thank you for creating that like
- 22:51and then just being like man, I remember that felt like.
- 22:55When I listen to you and God's like those first like, you know,
- 22:58six months and being like there's somebody else out there
- 23:02and like I'm like little, you know, soldiers are rising up,
- 23:06the boldness comes forth, you know, and it's like this is
- 23:09great. And so there I call it the
- 23:11ripple effect. I love the ripple effect, you
- 23:13know, and just seeing, you know, the scriptures say we plant and
- 23:17we water seeds, the wage is good.
- 23:19You know, we're going to get a good reward for this.
- 23:21But God gets glory because he causes the growth.
- 23:24And just to marvel at that and like, really, this is going to
- 23:26be the 100th episode Basil for the Mustard Seed.
- 23:30You know, we, we launched the first episode in the very
- 23:33beginning of 2020. Before that, I had a total
- 23:36failure podcast called Not of This World.
- 23:38Don't Go, listen to it. But that was like, you know,
- 23:42just getting my foot in the door and like building that
- 23:45confidence to be like, yeah, I have a voice.
- 23:46Oh, it hurts to hear my own voice.
- 23:48Like I remember, like the first time I heard my own voice, I was
- 23:50like was in the running row. Hide in the woods.
- 23:54Yeah, it's really bad. But God is doing some unique
- 23:58stuff. Gets better.
- 24:02Yeah. Well, so let me ask you a couple
- 24:04questions, man. You know, with everything that
- 24:08you guys are doing and all of the things going on in the world
- 24:11right now today, what would you say are some of the biggest
- 24:15things for the body of Christ to keep on the radar?
- 24:18Like stuff that's in the works? I mean, we can get his
- 24:20conspiracy and weird as he want. But give us like an overview,
- 24:25like, hey, these two or three different topics, they're hot
- 24:28buttons. It's continual.
- 24:30It's been escalating year after year.
- 24:32And keep your eyes on this. Like, just give us, Yeah,
- 24:35whatever your mind does with that.
- 24:37Yeah. Oh, there you go.
- 24:37Sorry, you froze for a second. Oh, OK, Yes.
- 24:42Give me a moment, 'cause, you know, we cover such a range of
- 24:50things and we covered things because we think they're
- 24:53important. And thankfully there's a lot of
- 24:57people doing a lot of good work right now.
- 25:00And you know, I came from a a charismatic background.
- 25:04That's my Christian tradition. So I'm very familiar and very
- 25:09versed in sort of the the depth of the supernatural day-to-day.
- 25:16And I think that's there with a lot of current events going on.
- 25:23I'll kind of stick with current events because of course we see
- 25:27end times prophecy sort of constantly in our faces, whether
- 25:35it's the unrest in the Middle East or CBBCSA beast system, you
- 25:41know, as fringy as you want to get.
- 25:43It's it's interesting because they're all actually very
- 25:46connected. So like everything I just
- 25:48mentioned is like those are all connected and there's a lot of
- 25:54really great people who are connecting the dots, staying,
- 25:58staying up on the events and the the connections.
- 26:03There's a lot of people who are just coming into the knowledge
- 26:07of these things. Thank the Lord you know,
- 26:11podcasting has created a an ecosphere of communication that
- 26:18I think is directly responsible for a lot of the shifts going on
- 26:24around the world in the minds of men.
- 26:27Let's go, man. Let's go.
- 26:29And you know, that's what was so amazing.
- 26:31Again, just to plug my episode with Adam Curry, the episode 165
- 26:37of Canary Cry news talk, I'm sorry, Canary cry radio.
- 26:41I think it was 688 of Canary Cry news talk.
- 26:45You know, he is one of the people responsible for the
- 26:50invention of the technology that is podcasting.
- 26:55Without his role in the invention of RSS feeds and
- 27:00podcasting, the world would look entirely different.
- 27:06We are in what's called a fifth generational war, 5th Gen.
- 27:12warfare, something that I've been, you know, kind of
- 27:15obsessively screaming about for a couple months now.
- 27:18And the long and short of it is warfare nowadays can be
- 27:23described literally as a war for the not for the minds of the
- 27:29people, but a war that is fought on the battlefield of civilian
- 27:34minds. OK, the biggest victories that a
- 27:39nation state, a corporation or an ideological faction can have
- 27:44in the war for the world is to win a battle in the minds of
- 27:51civilians around the world. And this goes much deeper.
- 27:55But the point is, we've been in a fifth generation war for quite
- 28:00some time. It's been happening right under
- 28:02our noses. And I don't mean metaphorically.
- 28:05This is not a metaphor that there's some sort of war in our
- 28:09mind. There is literally a war going
- 28:14on that is focused on. I mean, public opinion is the
- 28:20spoils of war. And when I say literally, I mean
- 28:24the governments around the world officially recognize that there
- 28:29is a war going on. 5th generation of war.
- 28:33And if it were not for the technology of podcasting, people
- 28:38like us would have no hope. We we would have almost no
- 28:43access to some long form, easily digestible, easily spreadable,
- 28:52easily created, low bar of entry sort of method to try to free
- 28:59our minds or at least take some independence in this fifth
- 29:04generation war. And of course, you know, Alex
- 29:06Jones has been calling it Infowars for a long time.
- 29:09And you know, I always kind of thought like, oh, Infowars I get
- 29:14is kind of clever. You know, the war is for your
- 29:16mind. Like OK, yeah, I get it, but and
- 29:19I don't know if he meant it or not, or maybe the Lord used that
- 29:23prophetically, but we are now recognized to be in a literal
- 29:275th generation war. Now with that, there's a lot of
- 29:31new people coming into the knowledge of biblical prophecy,
- 29:36specifically end times prophecy and things are starting to
- 29:40unfold in the world. I will say this as a caveat.
- 29:44Things are starting to unfold in the world again that are tipping
- 29:48people off to, you know, some possible fulfillment of
- 29:52prophecy. And with that, there is a bit of
- 29:56a danger because when you do go off the beaten path, whether
- 30:03that's spiritually, whether that's, you know,
- 30:06intellectually, whatever it is, when you go off the beaten path,
- 30:11it's a dangerous place to be. And this can manifest in
- 30:15people's, in people's lives in in a couple different ways.
- 30:19I mean, one of them. We've all seen it that people
- 30:24who were always sort of free thinkers, who are always sort
- 30:28of, I don't know, intelligent and inspiring.
- 30:34You know, a lot of great people, whether they're podcasters or
- 30:37not, they can get so wrapped up in the identification of things
- 30:46like the beast system, the Mark of the Beast, the Red heifer,
- 30:49you know, all these things. It can become so all consuming
- 30:55that it's has a potential to actually take away from what a
- 31:02lot of what God's doing in their life.
- 31:06You know, we are here to. I don't know if you're muted or
- 31:10not, but I did see you go wow. Yeah, yeah.
- 31:15I mute myself because I I comment like I'm like, oh, and
- 31:20people message me and say please mute yourself.
- 31:22While they're talking, their name is like oh, but no, that
- 31:25was that was a huge bomb you just dropped there.
- 31:27Like that is a really big thing that we need to pay attention to
- 31:31not getting called up. I'm speaking from experience
- 31:34like I don't. I'm not trying to like what I'm
- 31:38not doing is trying to be like, oh, look at all these people
- 31:41looking at end times prophecy now.
- 31:42Well, that's not even cool anymore.
- 31:44I mean, chill out. That's not what I'm doing.
- 31:46What I'm saying is I've been doing this almost every day for
- 31:52going on 11 years now, going on 12 years almost.
- 31:58And I have been through every cycle of life while sort of
- 32:06wrestling with this end times prophecy stuff.
- 32:09And I I can now look back. It's been a long, a long enough
- 32:13span of time that there were times when I was so absolutely
- 32:18obsessed. And I do.
- 32:20I will call it obsessed. Because there's a point where
- 32:21you get obsessed, where other parts of your spiritual life
- 32:27start to hurt. I mean much less, much less.
- 32:30Your family life, your social life, your church life,
- 32:33whatever. But there isn't.
- 32:35There is a time when your spiritual life can really
- 32:39suffer. You find suddenly that you don't
- 32:43have peace where you're thinking 24/7 instead of meditating and
- 32:49praying on the goodness of God and on the, you know the the
- 32:55absolute awe inspiring role of God's hand in your life
- 33:02personally, you can. You can lose track of that by
- 33:07focusing on the sort of mega structure that is end times
- 33:12prophecy unfolding in front of us.
- 33:15And I've seen it a lot of times and I've had personal
- 33:17conversations with with other podcasters and researchers.
- 33:22And again, this is, I'm not going so far as to say, you
- 33:26know, to encourage people to ignore what's going on in the
- 33:31world. But I would say at some point, I
- 33:35don't know what point it is. It's it's everybody's job to
- 33:38identify it in their own life. But at some point, it's more
- 33:42important to live your day-to-day life as if Jesus is
- 33:47coming back tomorrow versus spending all your time and
- 33:54spiritual energy on trying to guess when Jesus is coming back.
- 33:59You know, we get so wrapped up in trying to trying to set a
- 34:04date, whether it's metaphorically or literally.
- 34:07You know, we get so wrapped up in trying to anticipate the
- 34:13Lord's next moves based on on, you know, the Book of Revelation
- 34:17where we forget to rest and every single day.
- 34:27And and you know, that's really where the the quality of life
- 34:35walking alongside Jesus comes from.
- 34:37So that is a big part of it. I mean, that's one big thing
- 34:41that I I think more than anything would would change the
- 34:45atmosphere in the broad spectrum of what, you know, people are
- 34:51learning and living through right now.
- 34:53I think that would change the atmosphere in an incredible way
- 34:57if if we start developing more of that sense, what is God doing
- 35:02right now in this exact moment in my life?
- 35:05Not what he's doing in Israel on a global scale or with secret
- 35:11societies or whatever. So that's why is robots now hear
- 35:16me out. This is an important one.
- 35:19This is an important one. OK, so don't don't don't get me
- 35:23wrong. We got to pay attention to these
- 35:26little metal guys because for a lot of, for a lot of reasons, I
- 35:31on my show, I do a it's kind of like a a funny, kind of silly,
- 35:36but very serious kind of mini podcast within my podcast.
- 35:42It's called the Flippy Update, and Flippy is our colloquial
- 35:45name for the disembodied robot arms that are taking our jobs,
- 35:48enslaving our children, and flirting with our spouses.
- 35:51We use talking about Flippy as a way to explore all the new fun
- 35:55and exciting ways that robots are taking over the world, and
- 35:58now there's nothing we can do about it.
- 36:01Welcome to the Flippy Update, everybody.
- 36:04And the reason why the Flippy Update is such an effective
- 36:08vehicle in, in my communication is robots.
- 36:15It's really not just about will they put us out of work.
- 36:20It's really not just about, hey, with robotic manufacturing we
- 36:25can have universal basic income and everybody can live a
- 36:29socialist sort of Daydream all day because the robots are
- 36:32taking care of us. It's not just the fact that with
- 36:37a lack of Labor in caregiving industries that robots, one of
- 36:44the the number one advancement going on in robots right now is
- 36:48we're caring for the elderly. And what does that mean for us
- 36:52as human beings and our relationship to the generations
- 36:57before and after us? That, you know, it's already so
- 37:00sad how difficult it is in America to care for, for an, you
- 37:06know, our elders. And I say elders not our elderly
- 37:10because they are elders. They, they play a very important
- 37:14role in our lives and in our communities.
- 37:17But because of the American capitalistic sort of rat race,
- 37:22it's become normal to put your elders in a closet and let
- 37:27somebody else take care of them. Now the system is built that
- 37:31way. The system is built to require
- 37:34us to separate ourselves from maybe the most important human
- 37:40relationship that we can have, which is our elders, the ones
- 37:44who passed down the knowledge and the wisdom from a life
- 37:47lived. And instead we are disposing of
- 37:52this vital resource in our personal lives.
- 37:56And again, listeners, you gotta tweak your brain just a second
- 38:00because you're a lot of you. When I, when you hear what I'm
- 38:04saying, you're thinking about it in economic terms, you'll say,
- 38:07well, I got to go to work. I can't take care of my parent.
- 38:10That's why I put them away and and I hear you.
- 38:13But part of the battle is to divest yourself from those
- 38:19economic terms. Stop thinking of the way that
- 38:23our system is set up strictly in economic terms, because it is
- 38:27set up in strictly economic terms.
- 38:30Problem is, you cannot be a human strictly on economic
- 38:38terms. And so what's happening with
- 38:40the, yeah, with the labor shortage going on with
- 38:44caregivers specifically, the number one threat of robots I
- 38:48think right now is not just that they will take care of our old
- 38:53people, which they are extremely close to being proficient at.
- 38:57It's that these robots will be used to further separate us from
- 39:04our most important resource. That is human experience, passed
- 39:08down by someone who loves us and who has our best interest in
- 39:12mind, 'cause I'll tell you, you think about the world in
- 39:14economic terms. No one has your best interests
- 39:18in mind. No one.
- 39:20Anybody. Outside of your personal
- 39:24connection and your entwined well-being, nobody has your best
- 39:32interest in mind. Not the government, not the
- 39:34corporations, not your mayor, not nobody.
- 39:38It is you and your family and the advent of robots.
- 39:44One of the biggest problems I see is that, sure, they might
- 39:49make work easier. They might make art in a faster
- 39:53way, they might do a lot of things.
- 39:55But inevitably, inevitably, and almost by necessity, their
- 40:02primary function is to separate us from other humans.
- 40:07That's the big thing. Anything that you'd get a robot
- 40:11involved with almost separates you from a personal connection
- 40:15with another person and the powers that be, be they you
- 40:18know, the government or whatever, or principalities and
- 40:21powers. They are the most powerful when
- 40:25we are separated from the the humans around us that we
- 40:28actually share our interests with.
- 40:32And so Robot caretakers is a big one.
- 40:36And and honestly, the list goes on.
- 40:38But, you know, it's kind of silly, it's kind of goofy to say
- 40:42that robots are one of the, you know, biggest threats to our
- 40:45humanity. Because when I say that, you're
- 40:47thinking, oh, they're not going to take our jobs.
- 40:50All the music they make is bad. All they can't write a poem as
- 40:53good as a human, you know, those types of things.
- 40:55And it's very intentional that those are the conversations
- 40:58going on in the mainstream media.
- 41:01You know, you'll see in CNN, Fox News, any news outlet, oh, the
- 41:05robots are taking your jobs. Experts are worried that the
- 41:09labor market might be affected by blah, blah, blah, blah, all
- 41:12economic terms. You will never, ever see a
- 41:17mainstream legacy news outlet have a thoughtful analysis of
- 41:23how these robots that are so economically advantageous, but
- 41:28how they are literally wedging themselves in between humans who
- 41:34can earnestly and authentically care for one another.
- 41:38And that's in every realm. I mean, don't even get me
- 41:41started on the the flirting with our spouses part or the
- 41:45enslaving our children part. That's all true in different
- 41:48ways, but on its very face, the the the robots are coming.
- 41:59They're not not coming. They are.
- 42:02They will be in all of our lives very soon.
- 42:07And you know, I get a lot of kind of eye rolls talking about
- 42:12how soon this is going to happen.
- 42:13But I'm telling you, I've been doing this for 12 years and
- 42:17almost everything we predicted has come true.
- 42:20And it's not because we're prophetic.
- 42:23It is because we spend all day, every day paying attention to
- 42:31what the the elites are communicating to us through the
- 42:35mainstream media and other things.
- 42:37And not only do we read 80 articles a week, but we spend
- 42:43our time analyzing it. And this is only thanks to
- 42:47people who support our show. So I don't want to say that like
- 42:50we're prophets of some kind, but what I'm saying is they are
- 42:54telling us outright the revelation of the method.
- 42:57They are telling us to our faces that these robots are here
- 43:02specifically to further separate us from other humans who are our
- 43:07only hope if we're going to make it through this next phase of
- 43:12civilization with anything resembling sanity.
- 43:16And that goes for spirituality, too, They there's a big movement
- 43:21in case you haven't heard, folks.
- 43:23Tune into the Flippy update. In case you haven't heard, there
- 43:26is a huge spiritual movement as it relates to robots.
- 43:33Just I'm going to just rattle off some things, but just know
- 43:36that there's deeper analysis and there's more than what I'm going
- 43:40to rattle off, which is in the East, they are replacing
- 43:44Buddhist priests with robots. They are replacing funeral
- 43:51workers with robots. In the West, we the pastors,
- 43:56sort of tongue in cheek, but some of them not so tongue in
- 44:00cheek, are relying on AI. Maybe not to fully write their
- 44:04sermon, although there are some who are doing that.
- 44:06But to study and search the Bible, even in the most basic
- 44:10sense, you have convenient robots coming in between your
- 44:16pastor and the pages of his paper Bible.
- 44:20You know the not to mention the Church of AI, not to mention the
- 44:24idea of a super intelligence governing our countries, which
- 44:29is happening right now. Go look at Estonia and the
- 44:34Netherlands. Both have voted many times to
- 44:37have their country led by AI. And so it's it's not just that
- 44:44robots are taking your jobs, but they are surreptitiously,
- 44:48slowly, but steadily driving a wedge between humans and other
- 44:54humans. A wedge between humans and a
- 44:56spiritual life, At least, you know, one that we had previously
- 45:00consider authentic. And Dr. Humans, we choose to be
- 45:07our leaders. All of these things in some
- 45:12aspect are being affected not just by the robots themselves,
- 45:16but by the propaganda, the messaging about robots.
- 45:21That's the that's kind of the the the secret to the Flippy
- 45:24update. We're not just telling you about
- 45:27a new robot that exists, but it's dissecting the
- 45:30communication, the philosophy, the propaganda and the public
- 45:35perception of robots that will ultimately lead to a very
- 45:40unhealthy humanity. So there's a fun rant for you.
- 45:45What you're saying is is important and you're
- 45:47streamlining, like from listening to your podcast, like,
- 45:51I understand. Like when you're saying, hey,
- 45:53this is just a real quick brief overview of, you know, how these
- 45:57bigger puzzle pieces connect together.
- 45:58But we could. Literally.
- 46:00Spend every hour of the day for the next two weeks breaking down
- 46:03one of those rabbit trails, proving that the elites are
- 46:07signalling to us, the people, what their plans are.
- 46:12Literally, when people are looking at their phone and they
- 46:14have, I don't know, five hours of screen time a day.
- 46:18And let's say they're in debt, or let's say they're in a bad
- 46:21relationship or like we can just see how even the personal usage
- 46:25of technology and people negating the fact that there's.
- 46:29I don't know a healthier way to live right in front of their
- 46:32faces like on an individual basis, like not even like we're
- 46:34not even talking big picture at this point from what I'm
- 46:36breaking down and it's more like, but that bleeds out and
- 46:40what you guys are doing or showing these big overarching
- 46:43ideas that just like, yeah this is going down and I love that.
- 46:48You know you followed up with one of the most significant
- 46:50things you know from my question like hey, what should really we
- 46:53be looking out for? How is this fitting together?
- 46:56You using technology because? That's one thing that separates
- 47:02us from past generations. It's technology.
- 47:06Everything that is the same under the everything else is the
- 47:08same under the sun. You get angry, you get happy,
- 47:10you work hard, you don't make enough.
- 47:12You made too much now, right? All the issues are there, but
- 47:15now technology. That's why we're such a peculiar
- 47:18generation. And I talk about that a lot
- 47:20being a millennial, you know, majority of millennials
- 47:22listening to the podcast. We're growing up.
- 47:25As soon as we start getting a couple of little hairs on our
- 47:27chinny chin chin, there comes the the Nextel phones.
- 47:31If you remember Basil used to be able to like chirp your friends
- 47:34and it was like a walkie-talkie phone.
- 47:37So like, you'd be careful what you chirp somebody because they
- 47:40could be sitting around like, you know a bunch of parents.
- 47:42It's like, Oh well hey, going to get us in trouble.
- 47:44But and then the iPhone, you know what is like 2007 or 2008,
- 47:49the the first iPhone comes out and and we just see now like I.
- 47:53Live outside of Philadelphia, PA Basel.
- 47:55If I go to the beach or if I go, like, on a vacation, like, you
- 48:00will literally see groups of people walking around staring at
- 48:02their phone. They're probably looking at a
- 48:05picture of the sunset on their phone while the sun is setting
- 48:10in Atlantic City, NJ or Wildwood or wherever they are and it's
- 48:12just like, OK. So yeah, that's just my way of
- 48:18scratching the surface and just of nodding and applaud to like
- 48:21what you and guns do. On Canary Cry news talk because
- 48:25it is important and there's definitely needs to be sound
- 48:31minds in the airwaves. You know, I said this with
- 48:33Michael Basham recently on Fringe radio.
- 48:35We were doing a live we had this like cool little collaboration
- 48:38going. And I'm saying we need more
- 48:40sound minds, people who are able to take their thought captives
- 48:44into the obedience of Christ and help us make sense of what's
- 48:47going on here. But I'm rambling now too much.
- 48:50Let me ask you another question. Right.
- 48:52Well, you know, if I could just real quick mention, I mean you
- 48:57you pointed it out perfectly and you know, it's it took me about
- 49:02a 20 minutes of rambling about two separate topics to get to
- 49:06what you said, which is, you know, for people who are either
- 49:10waking up to this or they're in this or whatever, they're paying
- 49:13attention is what it is. They're paying attention.
- 49:17The The biggest piece of advice that I could give to any of them
- 49:22is to once in a while let go of the big, overarching, big scary
- 49:32picture and personalize it, because it really does.
- 49:37What is the use of learning about all the things we're going
- 49:40to learn about if we can't focus it on our own lives?
- 49:46So no matter what you're looking into, whether it's technology,
- 49:50whether it's end times, prophecy, wherever, it's
- 49:52whatever, these are very stimulating things to learn
- 49:55about and to talk about, but they're useless unless you are
- 50:00making a practice on a daily basis of bringing that down to
- 50:07the individual level and living in a way that is consistent with
- 50:13the grand picture that you're talking about.
- 50:15And that's the hardest part. It's very easy to.
- 50:17Intellectualize and to let it take over your life and you find
- 50:21yourself being scared. You find yourself unhappy.
- 50:24You you find yourself short with people who you love.
- 50:28You find yourself all all these kind of nasty little, you know,
- 50:33death of 1000 cuts in somebody's life.
- 50:36It's not one big thing, but it's all these little pieces of
- 50:39negativity. And if we're letting our sort of
- 50:43intellectual exploration of these things, you know, degrade
- 50:50our personal independent experience of life, looking out
- 50:54your eyeballs around your family and your personal journey with
- 50:59Jesus, then there's no point. You're actually hurting yourself
- 51:02more than anything. And one last comment, you
- 51:05mentioned technology and sort of in the, you know, in the the
- 51:10idea of, you know, we can scream about technology all we want.
- 51:14But you know, bringing this down to a personal level, how do we
- 51:19live truly with our, with our, you know, aligning with what we
- 51:25think about. And for those who are watching
- 51:26the video or for those who have watched me in a video anytime in
- 51:30the last three years, you'll see that I have a very unattractive
- 51:35piece of headgear on and and what it is, in case somebody was
- 51:40wondering, I'm sure somebody was it's AVR helmet.
- 51:43I am currently in VR and on the outside of VR of the helmet I
- 51:49have two gigantic googly eyes. Now the reason for this has a
- 51:55couple different twists and turns.
- 51:57People think when they first. I mean bro, people get furious
- 52:02at me about wearing this. I mean, I've had wonderful
- 52:07little old church ladies question my salvation because I
- 52:13wear this VR headset on video and you know, I've heard they're
- 52:17all I'm I'm sorry if anybody has given me.
- 52:20If you're listening and you've given me this criticism, I'm
- 52:22sorry for what I'm about to say. But it's very unoriginal.
- 52:26What it really is, is they are uncomfortable with what they're
- 52:30seeing. And what they're seeing is
- 52:34someone who is giving the appearance of having given
- 52:39themselves over to sort of the technocracy, to the
- 52:42technocratic, you know, utopian vision of of the elites.
- 52:47And that's on purpose. It started in 2012.
- 52:51In 2012, we started podcasting, and for a couple different
- 52:55reasons, you know, I chose a name that is not my legal name.
- 53:02Believe it or not folks, Basil is not my birth name and it was
- 53:08because 2012 and it's hard for people to go back to 2012.
- 53:12Let me tell you about 20/12/2012.
- 53:15Nobody knew that they were being spied on on the Internet.
- 53:22It seems so obvious now, and it's a daily conversation on
- 53:25every piece of media about how everything you do on the
- 53:28Internet is catalogued into creating some sort of digital
- 53:31clone of you. And then it's used against your
- 53:33best interest to make you a more profitable and economically
- 53:37viable legal entity within our economic system.
- 53:41We all know that now. But in 2012, when you would tell
- 53:45somebody like, hey, you know, Facebook is looking at all your
- 53:50messages or Facebook, I mean, that's one thing nobody would
- 53:54believe. Try to tell them Facebook is
- 53:57actually tracking every single click that you do on the
- 54:02Internet. Nothing.
- 54:03You do a secret and that's when people.
- 54:06It seems so quaint now, but that's when people would call
- 54:10you a conspiracy theorist and roll their eyes and be like, oh,
- 54:13that's Basil, you know, he's one of those tinfoil Hatters.
- 54:17That's what 2012 was like. And so I personally, being
- 54:22somebody who is a little bit too wrapped up in the paranoia of
- 54:26Internet privacy, chose to, you know, try my best to stay sort
- 54:33of anonymous or pseudo anonymous or whatever on the Internet.
- 54:38And that's just, that's in my entire, that's in my private
- 54:41life even, you know. And so that worked all the way
- 54:47up until 2012 when we were sort of required by the market to
- 54:51start video streaming our podcast.
- 54:55And so we needed a solution for me to be on video, and I was
- 55:01uncomfortable with my face being out there for anybody to.
- 55:06And again, 2020. I'm saying like no.
- 55:10People will be able to copy your face and then through deepfake
- 55:13technology they'll be able to recreate you and blah blah blah.
- 55:17And even in 2020 that was like the 2012 version of Facebook is
- 55:22spying on you. People are like, yeah, OK, what
- 55:25a like, maybe someday they can do that, you know?
- 55:29Time has moved very fast and so is technology, so it's hard to
- 55:32remember a time before all these things were so prevalent.
- 55:36And so my solution to being on video as an attempted anonymous
- 55:41or pseudo anonymous podcaster was to put on AVR headset to
- 55:48cover the top half of my face. People found that very off
- 55:52putting because it's just a black box on my head.
- 55:57So I said hey, OK, I'll do an art project and it really became
- 56:01an art project. They say I'm going to put some
- 56:03googly eyes on the front. There you go, you can see my
- 56:06eyes. And for me sort of personally,
- 56:09I'm like wow, this is a brilliant art project.
- 56:13I'm making a commentary about the technocratic future and how,
- 56:19you know we're all gonna be in VR and digital someday, and the
- 56:24only eyes that people can look into is our manufactured eyes on
- 56:29the outside of the screen, attached to our face.
- 56:32Oh, I had such artsy fartsy like thoughts about it, and I still
- 56:37do. I think you.
- 56:38Know. Well, let me ask you this, What
- 56:39are you looking at right now? Like what's going on in Basil's
- 56:43world? Because, like, I'm losing the
- 56:45staring contest with you. Like every time I drive.
- 56:48Always. But what do you see?
- 56:51And that's perfect. That brings me to the the sort
- 56:53of point of all this which is so within my VR headset.
- 56:59Here I am right now looking over about 100 miles of a beautiful
- 57:08mountain range. There's literally birds flying
- 57:12in the sky. I'm on some sort of mountaintop
- 57:15Chateau. There are, you know, very, very
- 57:18hip looking architecture and overlaid over that.
- 57:26I have one gigantic screen in front of me, which is where I
- 57:30have the video I'm looking at up top.
- 57:32I have another gigantic screen which I have the Millennial
- 57:36Mustard Seed Apple podcast pulled up there.
- 57:39I've got my soundboard over here.
- 57:43I've got my recording software down on the left.
- 57:46I usually have my live streaming chats over here, so I have the
- 57:51equivalent of 123-4567 eight computer monitors of any size
- 57:58that I would like to choose. And behind that is a majestic
- 58:02mountain range and birds flying. And I had to turn off the
- 58:07butterflies because the butterflies would actually get
- 58:10in the way of my podcasting. And so I was to my knowledge or
- 58:17the knowledge of anybody else that I've asked, and I have
- 58:22asked many, you know, fairly high level professionals.
- 58:25I am the 1st and most prolific person to be creating podcasts
- 58:32in the metaverse. I was doing the math today
- 58:36actually. I have about somewhere close to
- 58:392000 hours of content that I've created in this space.
- 58:44And again, it goes back to this idea that when someone looks at
- 58:50me wearing this get up, it looks ridiculous.
- 58:55But what they really are feeling is sometimes they feel anger.
- 59:00Sometimes they'll feel that I'm just some sort of clown and
- 59:04they, you know, won't respect what I say.
- 59:08Sometimes, you know, they'll they, they think it's a joke and
- 59:12it'll go away. And they TuneIn next episode and
- 59:14it's still there. You know this.
- 59:16It's been very interesting. Most of the time it garners
- 59:21disrespect because people see, I think, what they fear the most
- 59:28when it comes to technology and that it would be so obvious.
- 59:35You know, it's one thing to have a phone and be on your phone all
- 59:37day. It's kind of a personal thing.
- 59:40You know, maybe somebody would see you on your phone, but they
- 59:42don't know what you're doing on your phone.
- 59:44They don't know how long you spend.
- 59:46Maybe they'll see you for 60 seconds on your phone and you
- 59:49know it. It's sort of a very private
- 59:52thing, but to create 2000 hours of content on the Internet where
- 59:59people are forced to reckon with what they know is coming in the
- 1:00:04near future, Garner's some very interesting sort of responses
- 1:00:11and a lot of hate mail, honestly.
- 1:00:13And that's fine. But anyway, so there's just.
- 1:00:18I'm so sorry I'm doing so much rambling, but there is.
- 1:00:21Another commentary on sort of our technology conversation and
- 1:00:25to answer the question for somebody watching this video
- 1:00:27wondering what's on my head. It's it's epic, to be honest
- 1:00:31with you. And it's it's iconic now.
- 1:00:33And really, it does signal in so many ways, Basil, that this is
- 1:00:42the world that people are like, not only, like, voting for and
- 1:00:46lining up and signing up for oh. Yeah, but I but I heard it once
- 1:00:50said also that. If there's something that you
- 1:00:53despise in somebody else, it's probably because you struggle
- 1:00:57with that same thing yourself. So for the people out there, and
- 1:01:01and I'm not trying to drum up, you know, disrespect or
- 1:01:03discredit to their, you know, emotional state on how they feel
- 1:01:06about seeing the googly eyes just, you know, reaching through
- 1:01:09the screen at them. But I mean, really the idea is
- 1:01:13what you're doing is so many layers deep and intentional that
- 1:01:18most it goes over most people's heads.
- 1:01:21And they're just identifying with like a surface level thing
- 1:01:23and just, oh, let me express anger or dislike because what's
- 1:01:26what's the first thing I can find about this person that is
- 1:01:30not normal And then peg them for, for that reason to try to
- 1:01:33drum up anger. It's it's really foolish.
- 1:01:35We got to grow up a little bit and and really look at the
- 1:01:38layers, the depth of why, you know, really sitting like I'm
- 1:01:42sitting down with you now. I've never really even thought
- 1:01:44about it like that much. I've heard you talk about, you
- 1:01:47know, over the years, on and off a little bit.
- 1:01:50About the the VR headset, But to sit down and actually like hear
- 1:01:55somebody's hard out, you know, like like hey, what's really
- 1:01:57going on here? What does this mean for you?
- 1:01:59What are you signaling? That's the right way to go about
- 1:02:03this, you guys. And that's why I podcast that's,
- 1:02:07you know, one of the reasons why is like I'm not alone, like how
- 1:02:10can we connect, How can we go through this information
- 1:02:12together? And if it's really difficult,
- 1:02:16it's going to require more than one person thinking it over.
- 1:02:19You know the Bible. Like for all of the people out
- 1:02:22there that are Christians, hopefully you're reading your
- 1:02:25Bible. I know like on the mustard seed,
- 1:02:28like we get new people coming in obviously, right.
- 1:02:30And I'm always encouraging that, encouraging people read the
- 1:02:32Bible for yourself. You got to study to show
- 1:02:34yourself well approved. But ultimately, in a nutshell,
- 1:02:39this is a body thing. There's not one man really
- 1:02:42heading the show here. Like what I feel really like big
- 1:02:46on Basil is. Capturing what people were doing
- 1:02:50right and sharing that. You know, like, I've I've tried
- 1:02:54to base the The mustard seed on interviewing other people and
- 1:02:58yeah, guess what? People I disagree with.
- 1:03:00People that are way over here, way over there, but what are
- 1:03:03they doing right? Like, isn't the rest of the
- 1:03:05world writing books about what we're doing wrong?
- 1:03:07You know, God obviously didn't write a book about what David
- 1:03:11did wrong. He mentioned it.
- 1:03:12But. You know, God wrote a lot about
- 1:03:15David being after his own art. And so when we're peering into
- 1:03:18the ministries that are going on today with a lot of judgement
- 1:03:21going on, and I know I've spoken very big and boldly, I've been
- 1:03:25noted for, you know, saying some of the stuff that most people
- 1:03:28don't really want to say, like things that need to be said.
- 1:03:30But I always kind of like back up and like soften my heart on
- 1:03:34it and be like, well, God, how, how do we connect with this
- 1:03:36person or reach this person, right?
- 1:03:37But the idea. Basil and you guys do this in so
- 1:03:42many ways. It's just like reminds me of
- 1:03:44Mike Heiser, like going into like the Alien Conferences.
- 1:03:48And those people, they're actually like being more, I
- 1:03:51don't know, receptive to the message than the congregations
- 1:03:54themselves. So you guys are in this
- 1:03:56podcasting world and you're finding people that may have
- 1:04:01never been able to stumble upon that news, they may have never
- 1:04:03heard the perspective like that. You guys bring the table, unless
- 1:04:06they had arrived right at you and Gonz's door.
- 1:04:09And for what you guys are doing and that's why it's so important
- 1:04:12and that's why I'm just humbled, man.
- 1:04:16Like I want to fanboy for a second with you because with for
- 1:04:19me, you know like I have this honor and respect for you guys,
- 1:04:23for you and Gonz just because of the foundation that you guys
- 1:04:26have laid. You know, I I literally look at
- 1:04:31what's going on in the world. Where the information like
- 1:04:34where's healthy information? Where can you really dip and
- 1:04:36dive into and figure out how to plug some of this stuff
- 1:04:40together. None of us are saying we have
- 1:04:41all the answers. None of us are saying, oh come
- 1:04:43follow me, I have it all figured out.
- 1:04:45It goes right back to the Berean mentality.
- 1:04:47Studying through the word daily with the readiness of mind,
- 1:04:50accepting that which is true. Not being ignorant to the
- 1:04:53devil's devices, being aware of what's going on around us.
- 1:04:55So for what you guys are doing, I'm like man, even if I lived up
- 1:05:00to like 110th. Of influence that that you and
- 1:05:04Gonz have created. Like I'm content and I I often
- 1:05:09say on the podcast one more person.
- 1:05:11I was one person for you guys, dude, I was just one.
- 1:05:15You guys planted the seed as the seed was becoming the little
- 1:05:19seed. It's like you guys were watering
- 1:05:21it and planting it and. You know, helping me with all
- 1:05:25the negative voices in the world and all the people you, you
- 1:05:27know, pretty much saying, hey man, you're you're a nobody.
- 1:05:30You're not going to make it. You're just some factory worker
- 1:05:32outside of Philadelphia. What do you got going for?
- 1:05:33You had a 9th grade education, but hearing you guys talk and I
- 1:05:39think it was one of the interviews with LA Marzulli back
- 1:05:41in the day, Just your boldness. But then the humor too, like
- 1:05:45getting the release and being able to laugh and then being
- 1:05:48like, you know what? It's OK.
- 1:05:49Like this isn't some like, bite your nails.
- 1:05:51You have to hide because. Every pastor in America is going
- 1:05:55to, you know, they're going to come burn a cross in your front
- 1:05:57yard because he talked about the Nephilim or something.
- 1:05:59Like, seriously, you know, right.
- 1:06:03But some people, like, they do have that where they don't know
- 1:06:06how to gauge these topics. It's in the Bible.
- 1:06:08But the men of God that are supposed to be looking after
- 1:06:12them won't cover their sleep paralysis.
- 1:06:14They won't talk about the weird stuff that they're personally
- 1:06:17dealing with and then multiply that by the acceleration of
- 1:06:21crazy things happening since I don't know.
- 1:06:23My whole life, but especially in the last five years.
- 1:06:25And you get a lot of emotionally distraught people.
- 1:06:29So what you guys have done for me, I couldn't thank you enough.
- 1:06:34And I know there's a lot of people that would agree with
- 1:06:36that. And I don't say that to puff you
- 1:06:38guys up. I say that in the humility of
- 1:06:42man, We don't understand the ripple effect all the time, but
- 1:06:46God's good and he's causing growth.
- 1:06:48Clearly for you guys, the growth has been.
- 1:06:53Phenomenal, really. Just blazing a trail and
- 1:06:56charting on uncharted areas of anything else like that ever
- 1:07:00been done before. So I'm not going to get off the
- 1:07:03like the fanboy tip here and just try to get back into
- 1:07:06interview mode, but that's that's great.
- 1:07:07I mean, I really appreciate that.
- 1:07:09I mean, I'll tell you even from first of all, like honestly, I
- 1:07:15am nothing but humbled to hear that it's, it's really
- 1:07:19incredibly humbling because you know, it's just like anything
- 1:07:27else. We only have our perspective.
- 1:07:30And when you reach, when you start reaching a certain amount
- 1:07:34of people, it actually starts to, it becomes very difficult to
- 1:07:43nail down the idea in your mind and in your soul that really
- 1:07:51anybody is listening. I mean, it's, you know, we we
- 1:07:55try our best. Good point.
- 1:07:57Yeah, we we try our best not to pay attention to like numbers
- 1:08:03and how many downloads we get and how many viewers on this
- 1:08:06platform or this platform and add them all together.
- 1:08:08Let's see, you know, A, because it's a lot of energy that we
- 1:08:12could use for something else. B.
- 1:08:15You know, we learned long ago that whether there's a lot of
- 1:08:18people or a little people doesn't actually change what
- 1:08:22we're doing or what we want to do.
- 1:08:26And you know, there's sort of this also unhealthy technology
- 1:08:30thing where like it's just numbers, You know, it's just
- 1:08:32numbers on a screen and yeah, a big number good, little number
- 1:08:38bad. And you forget that, you know,
- 1:08:40each one of those numbers is an actual human person who is
- 1:08:46physically listening to the words that I say.
- 1:08:49It's sort of mind blowing. It's it's almost too much to
- 1:08:52really think about. And so we so we kind of avoid
- 1:08:56thinking about it as much as we can.
- 1:08:58But moments like this, and meeting guys like you who are
- 1:09:03stepping out and taking action, and of course the people who
- 1:09:06produce our show are a big you know that that makes them very
- 1:09:09real to us as well. But it's it's really a nice
- 1:09:14refresher to remember that I'm not just a weirdo sitting in my
- 1:09:22Home Office with AVR headset screaming into the void about
- 1:09:26robots and you know, red heifers and stuff like this that you
- 1:09:31know it it's very it's it's very interesting because doing
- 1:09:34Internet work or you know creating stuff on the Internet,
- 1:09:39on one hand you're like wow, this is amazing.
- 1:09:42I can reach a lot of people but at the end of the day you're
- 1:09:44just sitting in your room talking out loud to yourself and
- 1:09:50it's it's kind of has a strange juxtaposition.
- 1:09:53Just real quick just to let you know I got a little pop up here.
- 1:09:57It said an error occurred Media recorder error please contact
- 1:10:02support. I can refresh now but down in
- 1:10:05this tab it says keep this tab open.
- 1:10:07Stay here until your recording is done uploading so your host
- 1:10:12gets the full file and it has a progress bar that's at about
- 1:10:1738%, so I don't know if you if you're recording on your side.
- 1:10:23I see a 99% upload continuous upload of your high quality
- 1:10:26recording on Riverside. So yeah, it looks like there is
- 1:10:29some sort of okay. So you're probably still
- 1:10:32capturing my stuff. Yeah, Okay.
- 1:10:36Yeah. Well, yeah, You know what,
- 1:10:38again, it's just another reason why I feel like I'm, you know,
- 1:10:42the most blessed human alive right now.
- 1:10:44Because, you know, I probably wouldn't have it other way.
- 1:10:48I don't think my brain and my personality could handle it if
- 1:10:52at every moment, you know, I had a running tally of how many
- 1:10:57people were listening to my voice at any one moment.
- 1:11:00But it really is rewarding to get and sit and talk to people
- 1:11:04like you who have listened. I mean, I one of my podcasts
- 1:11:08that is currently on hiatus right now, it's called The Joy
- 1:11:11Spear Sea Theory. And actually Michael Basham I
- 1:11:13think was the last guest I had on that show where I just wanted
- 1:11:19to talk to people. It was almost like my way of
- 1:11:22making the listeners real to me, where, you know, I would have
- 1:11:27listeners on a show, I would talk to them for a couple hours,
- 1:11:31learn their story. They'd tell me about how, you
- 1:11:35know, they had a supernatural experience or how, you know,
- 1:11:38really just like the most incredible life stories.
- 1:11:42That's humbling already, just to hear what people have gone
- 1:11:45through to stay alive, honestly. You're not kidding.
- 1:11:51Yeah, and of course that podcast fell victim to the 50 episodes
- 1:11:55slump. But I always tell myself that
- 1:11:58I'll pick it back up again one of these days.
- 1:12:00Well, let me let me say something real quick so I don't
- 1:12:03lose it. That I think is going to be
- 1:12:05helpful for someone else out there listening.
- 1:12:07And it'll also be helpful for me just to say this, but you were
- 1:12:10talking about, you know, kind of like.
- 1:12:13If you're reaching all these people, but like, you know
- 1:12:16you're sitting in this chair and like, you don't really like, see
- 1:12:18that and and when you were saying that, dude, I was just
- 1:12:21thinking like the Apostle Paul is like writing a letter in
- 1:12:25prison and he's got like contact with like, you know Timothy,
- 1:12:28Like there's like nobody else around.
- 1:12:31But like little did he know that it would actually go out and
- 1:12:33affect people. Like people all around the world
- 1:12:36would read that and weep and just be like and learn and.
- 1:12:40And not not doing a comparison side by side, I mean and argue
- 1:12:43about it. But the The thing is, is it's
- 1:12:47like the significance we don't always see in the moment.
- 1:12:52And I just wanted to say like I I didn't want to lose that.
- 1:12:55For some reason, it seemed more grandiose to my I'm at in my
- 1:12:59head than it probably did when it came out loud.
- 1:13:01But I I mean, it's again, this is something that I'm that I'm
- 1:13:05constantly sort of having to deal with.
- 1:13:09I mean, yeah, when it comes to mind, mostly I just ignore it
- 1:13:13because it's a lot to think about.
- 1:13:15But yeah, no, that's, I mean I think in that goes with that
- 1:13:20goes for everybody doing good work.
- 1:13:24There's a lot of people doing not so great work, but there's
- 1:13:27also people doing good work. And you know, the free market
- 1:13:30will do what it's going to do. But it is another, it is sort of
- 1:13:36another practical part of reality that has just an an
- 1:13:41important spiritual sort of analog of it, You know, because
- 1:13:46in a sense all of us as spirits doing spiritual stuff here in
- 1:13:54whatever realm this is we call Earth, whether no matter what
- 1:14:00shape it is, you know, we are spiritual beings and we're all
- 1:14:05broadcasting. We're all broadcasting all the
- 1:14:08time. And even in in the mean space we
- 1:14:11have no idea who we're affecting and who.
- 1:14:14And I mean that's kind of the just as a sort of tongue in
- 1:14:18cheek example, you know, you get to be my age and you get pretty
- 1:14:24pretty solidly into your 30s. And then like meeting somebody
- 1:14:31you went to high school with again and you've like forgotten
- 1:14:35their name and you start talking about high school and they tell
- 1:14:40you like things that they never could have told you back then,
- 1:14:45like, oh, I admired you. Or oh, I hated you.
- 1:14:49And all these types of things. You're like, Oh my gosh, I had
- 1:14:51no idea any of that was going on.
- 1:14:54You know, it's just sort of an example of how we're all
- 1:14:58spiritual beings broadcasting spiritually.
- 1:15:02No matter where we are, we have no idea what the result of that
- 1:15:06can be. I've always kind of wanted to
- 1:15:08ask you, like, have you had a supernatural experience?
- 1:15:12Like what? Like, what is one of those
- 1:15:13things for you that was like, whether dream or vision or seen
- 1:15:17something or whatever, do you have one you can share with us?
- 1:15:22Oh yeah, yeah, a lot. Oh, a lot.
- 1:15:26OK. I mean, my goodness.
- 1:15:31Yeah. So I grew up in the charismatic
- 1:15:33tradition. So, you know, I had the full
- 1:15:37experience. I mean, miracles and all all the
- 1:15:42way down to kind of the stuff that people don't understand,
- 1:15:45whether it's the speaking in tongues or the shaking or
- 1:15:48whatever, the falling out, you know, that was all a big part of
- 1:15:52it. I also had what I would
- 1:15:57described as hauntings as a kid. Like full, full, on bed, shaking
- 1:16:03things flying across the room. Hauntings when I was a kid.
- 1:16:07Shadow, I mean, even up until college.
- 1:16:09Shadow beings, you know, at the foot of my bed, taking naps,
- 1:16:14sleep paralysis entities, whispering and whispering in my
- 1:16:20ear. You know, all this kind of stuff
- 1:16:23and all of this needed to be handled spiritually at at any of
- 1:16:29the, you know, at any moment when when the time arose.
- 1:16:33And of course, you know the the Lord never failed to intervene
- 1:16:37or never failed to teach me my own spiritual authority, things
- 1:16:42like that, so I could, I could go on forever.
- 1:16:46But one thing then actually I have not, I don't think I've
- 1:16:49ever told on air. So I'll choose that one.
- 1:16:53If, you know, I've talked about a lot of that stuff in various
- 1:16:56podcasts and, you know, talked at conferences and things like
- 1:17:00that. But I don't think I've ever told
- 1:17:02this one, so I'll do this one. It's a little bit it's it's very
- 1:17:07valuable to me. So I was at College in a town I
- 1:17:16didn't grow up in. I was in the big city.
- 1:17:18Is that a Christian college? So of course I was in a
- 1:17:22Christian community and you know, had to had to go to Chapel
- 1:17:28for school credit. And you know, I was very much in
- 1:17:31in in it, but I was having a hard time really finding a
- 1:17:36church body that that was doing it for me.
- 1:17:41I don't know, it was just a weird part of the country of the
- 1:17:43the normal thing wasn't working. So I picked a church that was
- 1:17:49about two hours away and I drove in just a totally unnecessarily
- 1:17:58long trip and traffic and all these things to to go to.
- 1:18:03I think it was like a Wednesday service or something like that.
- 1:18:07But you know, and it really was, it really was a big thing.
- 1:18:11Like, I'm a college kid, I don't have a lot of money.
- 1:18:14I got kind of a junkie car, doesn't have air conditioning, a
- 1:18:18long drive, this whole thing. But it was just kind of one of
- 1:18:22those times in college where you just kind of get on the road and
- 1:18:26you just do it because you want to go experience something else.
- 1:18:32And I came to this church and it was pretty similar, pretty
- 1:18:35similar to really any Pentecostal or charismatic
- 1:18:40church at the time. And I recognized all the songs
- 1:18:44and I even, I think I may have even recognized one of the
- 1:18:48speakers and whatever, but I'm there alone.
- 1:18:53And it goes into a worship service at the end of the
- 1:18:58service. And if anybody out there knows,
- 1:19:02if you're from the Charismatic or Pentecostal type places, I
- 1:19:06mean, yeah, you'll get your sermon, yeah, you'll get your
- 1:19:09worship. But then like the weird stuff
- 1:19:11starts happening and then the flags come out and the
- 1:19:15zambourines and it really gets fired up.
- 1:19:19And so it was in the moment where it was really fired up and
- 1:19:21I was having a having a good time.
- 1:19:23It was really refreshing because I found it hard to find a church
- 1:19:28that kind of reminded me of how I was raised.
- 1:19:31And suddenly the guy came out and he starts petitioning the
- 1:19:36Lord for miracles, as as happens in these types of things.
- 1:19:43And you know, he's doing it, he's sweating, he's doing, he's
- 1:19:46telling the telling the body what to do.
- 1:19:48And he starts walking us through, says, OK, put your
- 1:19:54finger on your body wherever you need a miracle, put your finger
- 1:19:59right there and we're going to go for it.
- 1:20:02And I had been plagued by a severe dental anomaly.
- 1:20:10I mean damage. I had some dental damage that
- 1:20:13had had attempted to be fixed by dentists, which just made it
- 1:20:17worse. And it was just it was really
- 1:20:19bad at the time. And so I, at the behest of the
- 1:20:24guy leading the meeting, I stuck my finger up into my mouth, into
- 1:20:29the back of my teeth, and I put my finger up in this hole,
- 1:20:36basically in my teeth. And I'm just close my eyes,
- 1:20:44praying, praying to the Lord, saying, you know, this is really
- 1:20:48this. I mean, this needs a miracle.
- 1:20:50Because it's not. I can't do it.
- 1:20:52I'm broke. The dentist has done a poor job.
- 1:20:55Like, Lord you, this is your thing now.
- 1:20:58And I have felt a there's a really intense light headedness,
- 1:21:05which look, you're in a charismatic panisso servers,
- 1:21:07you're going to get light headed at some point.
- 1:21:10But I get really light headed, a little woozy and then I feel
- 1:21:14just of a searing heat in my mouth.
- 1:21:18And as soon as I register the searing heat, it's like in my
- 1:21:23ears and in my mouth exploded with like, Pop Rocks.
- 1:21:28It was like something somebody had jammed a packet of Pop Rocks
- 1:21:33up into my into my teeth in the back of my mouth.
- 1:21:37And it shocked me. I'm kind of like, whoa, whoa,
- 1:21:39whoa. I pull my finger out and I start
- 1:21:42feeling that place with my tongue where once there was two
- 1:21:47very damaged teeth and I'm poking it with my tongue like
- 1:21:50this. And one of the two teeth that
- 1:21:55were severely damaged was completely, 100% reconstructed
- 1:22:03to its original, to its original form.
- 1:22:07And nothing like that had ever, ever happened to me.
- 1:22:11I mean, I'd heard about it. Maybe I was in a service where
- 1:22:14something happened. But you know you're you build
- 1:22:17your faith and you know, but but it's different than actually
- 1:22:21having it happen to you. And by this time I had spent 25
- 1:22:24years or so in the well maybe not maybe 20 years or so in in
- 1:22:29the in the church. And I almost didn't believe it.
- 1:22:34I just like I started questioning my own reality like
- 1:22:38wait wait OK was that tooth actually really screwed up?
- 1:22:42Was that was that re? What?
- 1:22:45What what? What did I imagine that, you
- 1:22:47know, I was going through this very astounded sort of, I mean
- 1:22:53truly astounded sort of reality shaking experience where out of
- 1:22:59nowhere, just a perfectly reconstructed tooth was now in
- 1:23:03my mouth. Are you still there?
- 1:23:07Yeah, OK. Your video went out.
- 1:23:09So yeah, it had. It was just, I was just
- 1:23:14confused, honestly, more than anything.
- 1:23:17And what was even a little bit more confusing was that the
- 1:23:22other tooth that was busted was still busted.
- 1:23:28Like didn't get healed. It was just the one.
- 1:23:32You're only getting 1, Basil. Yeah.
- 1:23:35I mean, it was, it was really at the time, a very, very serious
- 1:23:41sort of spiritual mystery that I was, that I was living like,
- 1:23:45wow, the Lord. I mean, that is full
- 1:23:49manifestation of healing, reconstructive, miracle in my
- 1:23:53mouth. I cannot believe it.
- 1:23:56I had the dental records to show it, but only one of them.
- 1:24:01What about the other one? What's going on?
- 1:24:04Lord and I, you know, in that same service, I'm like, Oh my
- 1:24:09gosh, I got there like, OK, that one worked.
- 1:24:12All right, let's go for the next one.
- 1:24:13One. More.
- 1:24:14One more. Let's go.
- 1:24:15One more Again, Lord, let's go. I stick my finger up in there
- 1:24:18and I'm. I'm going to petition him.
- 1:24:21Really laying into it this time. Just really.
- 1:24:24Here we go. My faith is built.
- 1:24:26This can happen. It happened once.
- 1:24:27It can happen again. It didn't happen.
- 1:24:31I walked out of that service with one fully heeled,
- 1:24:37reconstructed, miraculous tooth. Full bone.
- 1:24:41You know, it's not like it was filled with gold or whatever,
- 1:24:44but the other tooth was still crummy and that just really, it
- 1:24:53was simultaneously the most incredible connection with the
- 1:25:01miraculous that I had personally ever witnessed.
- 1:25:04I mean, I've been around miracles, other miracles that
- 1:25:07happened to me, but like a full reconstruction of your own body
- 1:25:10right in front of your face and you can feel it and it changes
- 1:25:14your life. Honestly, just even having that
- 1:25:16one tooth fixed, like, changed my life to A to a degree, not
- 1:25:20just spiritually but physically, like I could actually chew with
- 1:25:23it and you know, an instant upgrade in in sort of quality of
- 1:25:28life. But the other one was still
- 1:25:30busted. And, you know, I think I spent,
- 1:25:33I think I went back to that church, you know, at least a
- 1:25:36half a dozen times to try to get this, this other tooth healed.
- 1:25:41And I talked, I think I went up, I talked to the pastor, I was
- 1:25:44talking to the team, the prayer team, whatever.
- 1:25:47And I was telling the story. And everybody's faith was
- 1:25:50building. And they were all also kind of
- 1:25:52confused about why the second tooth and the second tooth never
- 1:25:57miraculously got healed. But it did.
- 1:26:01This experience not only built my faith, not only became an
- 1:26:06incredible story to tell and a testimony not only all those
- 1:26:10things, but it also made it cheaper to go to the dentist to
- 1:26:15get the one tooth fixed by a dentist.
- 1:26:21And so it's this, like a lot of things I find in my life.
- 1:26:25It's this hilarious. I mean, we all know God's got a
- 1:26:31sense of humor and my goodness. He created it.
- 1:26:34He's really funny, man. He is hilarious because it was
- 1:26:38this simultaneous experience where I mean, I the the touch of
- 1:26:45the Lord created a creative miracle, created the tooth back
- 1:26:50in my mouth, but not the other one.
- 1:26:53So I was, I was in this funny place where I was like
- 1:26:58Incredible Miracle, go to the dentist, Incredible Miracle get
- 1:27:06the dentist to do the job, that he's just a guy who went to
- 1:27:12school and it makes his living just poking people's teeth,
- 1:27:18scaring kids, creeping people out.
- 1:27:22But he's a dentist, and if you need a dentist, he's a guy who
- 1:27:27can do it for you. So I now have right next to each
- 1:27:31other and I think it's just an illustration that the Lord has
- 1:27:34given me that is still a mystery to me.
- 1:27:37I'm not gonna say I have this figured out, but like, it is a
- 1:27:40lovely touch point that I have in my mouth at any time where
- 1:27:48the the the conflict between the Lord bending reality for our
- 1:27:58benefit and just doing what needs to be done.
- 1:28:04Just going to the dentist and these two teeth sit right next
- 1:28:08to each other. The one the Lord healed, full
- 1:28:11natural tooth strong. Beautiful.
- 1:28:14The one next to it, I had to get a root canal.
- 1:28:17It's a crown, you know. It's a fake tooth, but it does
- 1:28:20the job, you know. And they're just with they.
- 1:28:24They're with me forever. And it just constantly confounds
- 1:28:30me whenever I think I sort of understand what the Lord wants
- 1:28:36me to do or what the Lord's plan is.
- 1:28:39It's really this beautiful mixture right in my life, right
- 1:28:42in my mouth, of like the Lord's creative miracles bringing
- 1:28:47heaven to earth and dealing with it the regular way, 'cause
- 1:28:54sometimes the Lord will touch your life and change you
- 1:28:59forever, and then the tooth right next door.
- 1:29:03Sometimes you just gotta go to the dentist.
- 1:29:07So I don't know if this will help anybody, but it really it
- 1:29:12might be the most profound spiritual experience I've ever
- 1:29:15had. Not just because of the miracle.
- 1:29:17The miracle itself is incredible.
- 1:29:19But this message that is in my mouth at all times, where
- 1:29:26sometimes the Lord intervenes, sometimes you just go to the
- 1:29:31dentist and you know that's life.
- 1:29:34That's the mystery of being a supernatural person.
- 1:29:38You know, you, you have the the most incredible, miraculous life
- 1:29:42experiences. Your faith is growing as you
- 1:29:46feel like some sort of spiritual superhero.
- 1:29:49And then the next day, where are you?
- 1:29:52Lord, what's going on? Do it again.
- 1:29:57Do the thing again. God.
- 1:29:59I mean, thanks for the first one, but can you do it again?
- 1:30:05He's like, no, go to the dentist.
- 1:30:07And then I did. So that's it's it's it's a
- 1:30:12wonderful spiritual experience for me, both for what it was and
- 1:30:18for what it wasn't. And I think about it all the
- 1:30:22time. And I don't have any answers, no
- 1:30:25true answers. I only have questions.
- 1:30:28And that's just like a wonderful question that the Lord has
- 1:30:32caused to sort of be constant in my life.
- 1:30:37Oh jeez, I can see you're walking through, you know, the
- 1:30:41doors and one of the angels says.
- 1:30:45Lord, that Basil's here. And he's he's requesting to know
- 1:30:48why one tooth was fixed and the other one was not.
- 1:30:55He's like, oh, tell him he has more to learn.
- 1:30:58He didn't figure it out yet. Yeah.
- 1:31:00Send a message to Sarah Basil. That's young cherubin.
- 1:31:05It's like this. This is epic, man.
- 1:31:07That is no. Thank you so much for sharing
- 1:31:09that because there's so much to that.
- 1:31:14You know, it's kind of like in our weaknesses, Powers made best
- 1:31:19known. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 1:31:23That was, that was deep, man. That was actually really good.
- 1:31:26I I was literally trying not to blow up my microphone by.
- 1:31:29I wanted to laugh so hard so many times there, 'cause I'm
- 1:31:33like. That needs to be made into like
- 1:31:36a little mini sniffet cartoon. Like young Basil goes out on an
- 1:31:41adventure with the Lord, you know, he's like leaves, leaves
- 1:31:44college, like a pilgrimage that asked me everything, money.
- 1:31:49I didn't have time that I could have been used studying.
- 1:31:53It was just like such a big deal.
- 1:31:57And then just to have the resolution be literally a
- 1:32:00lifelong non resolution, it's just like a a, the the
- 1:32:07hilarious. I mean I I can't help but laugh
- 1:32:11about it every time, but yeah, I mean that's how it is sometimes,
- 1:32:15man. I mean it.
- 1:32:16It almost truly is like a biblical type story, you know.
- 1:32:21I wonder if there was ever a leopard that got like half
- 1:32:24healed right down the middle. You know, it's like this side
- 1:32:26looks great. This side over here, you know,
- 1:32:31there literally is a story in the Bible about that.
- 1:32:34I forgot what it is. Wow.
- 1:32:36I What was it? It's like a partial healing, I
- 1:32:39think, remember? Anyways, I don't know if we need
- 1:32:42to track it down, but let's do the quick thing.
- 1:32:44Partial healing. Yeah, let's look into that
- 1:32:47Bible. Maybe.
- 1:32:49I mean, look, it's taken me 15 years.
- 1:32:51Mark records the partial healing of the blind man.
- 1:32:54That's what it. Is.
- 1:32:55What is that? Let me pull it up here, OK?
- 1:32:59Just ask. ChatGPT bro.
- 1:33:00What are you fucking me? Mark 8 starting at verse 22 They
- 1:33:07came to Bethesda. They have Beth Sada here.
- 1:33:11Yeah, I see Beth Sada too. In the KGB, this was this was
- 1:33:14the the pool of Beth. There's yeah, OK Beth Sada, I'll
- 1:33:17call it that. They came to Beth Sada and some
- 1:33:19people brought a blind man and begged Jesus to touch him.
- 1:33:24See, look at that. They carried the guy, brought
- 1:33:27the blind man and begged Jesus to touch him.
- 1:33:30He took the blind man by the hand and led him outside the
- 1:33:34village. I see outside the village.
- 1:33:37Got to travel a couple hours there when he had spit on the
- 1:33:41man's eyes and put his hands on him.
- 1:33:43Jesus asked, do you see anything?
- 1:33:45He looked up and said, I see people, they look like trees.
- 1:33:48Walking around. Once more.
- 1:33:50Jesus put his hands on the man's eyes.
- 1:33:53Then his eyes were opened, his sight restored, and he saw
- 1:33:57everything clearly. 26 Jesus sent him home saying don't even
- 1:34:01go into the village. I think other translations say
- 1:34:04don't tell anybody. That guy got it.
- 1:34:08That guy got the full thing. OK, now you've got me on a Now
- 1:34:15you've got me on a tangent here. Let's see here.
- 1:34:18Apparently partial healings is a big topic on the Internet.
- 1:34:25Very interesting. For any more references, Second
- 1:34:29Colossians. Oh, thorn in the flesh.
- 1:34:32Yeah, of course. Paul's thorn in the flesh.
- 1:34:34Well, yeah, the thorn in the flesh, that that's actually what
- 1:34:37was like my first thought when you were telling me that it's
- 1:34:39like because we're made perfect in our weak, like his power
- 1:34:44works perfect in our weakness, right.
- 1:34:46And it's like, and then, you know, thinking about the
- 1:34:48leopards because maybe for some reason, if you would have got 2
- 1:34:52teeth that night, maybe you would have forgot about it.
- 1:34:55Yeah, yeah, yeah. I mean, it really is the fact
- 1:35:00that the difference of exactly. I mean that's the thing.
- 1:35:05Miraculous things happen to us. And a lot of people listening,
- 1:35:09I'm sure, can identify with this.
- 1:35:11I've had plenty of other miraculous things happen, but
- 1:35:16the one that sticks out the most, the one that is a constant
- 1:35:21mystery of which I'm seeking God to guide me through, is the one
- 1:35:26tooth healed. The other one the dentist did,
- 1:35:30yeah, because I certainly have experienced lot.
- 1:35:33Like I said, lots of weird spirit, like, you know,
- 1:35:36supernatural stuff. But that one is just like
- 1:35:39overarching, just like hovers over me all the time.
- 1:35:43And I like it now. I like not having the answer.
- 1:35:46Someday I know I'll get the answer, but right now it's just
- 1:35:50like well. Clearly it's intentional and and
- 1:35:52laughter is as medicine. So I mean I I couldn't help
- 1:35:59myself but laugh. There's going to be people
- 1:36:01listening to this when whenever these says they're going to be
- 1:36:03laughing they're going to be like that is just wild and and
- 1:36:07God's the creator of humor and we think about relationship.
- 1:36:13It's it's personal. It's how we relate to one
- 1:36:15another. So like, when we have a
- 1:36:16relationship with the Lord, that's a special thing with you
- 1:36:21and him. And I just think that's
- 1:36:22beautiful. Thank you so much for sharing
- 1:36:24that with me, man. And yeah, no problem.
- 1:36:26Thanks for the opportunity. Yeah, that was really cool.
- 1:36:28Now I really want to have you back someday in the future.
- 1:36:32I I it was great just to get you introduced to my audience.
- 1:36:36Most of them probably already know who you are.
- 1:36:38Anyway, this is just like awesome for me to.
- 1:36:41Talk with you and just get this one out there.
- 1:36:43You're my 100th episode, man. So just hit 3 digits.
- 1:36:47And. And and Basil is the one.
- 1:36:48So super creep. Yeah, dude did it.
- 1:36:52You did it. Yeah.
- 1:36:54But it only took me like, you know, almost five years to do
- 1:36:57it. So yeah, no, I get it.
- 1:37:01So weird. I mean, so weird.
- 1:37:02Think about it. Canary Cry Radio is 12 years old
- 1:37:06almost, and there's 165 episodes or something.
- 1:37:10Like, yeah, we definitely know what it's like to not quite hit
- 1:37:14every week. But you're doing great, man.
- 1:37:18No, that's really cool. I mean, this has been a very
- 1:37:20humbling experience. I'm so glad we found the time to
- 1:37:23do it. I want a big shout out to, you
- 1:37:27know, all your listeners, but especially if there's any Canary
- 1:37:30Cry listeners out there, You know, send me a little message,
- 1:37:33send send me a little e-mail or something at
- 1:37:36canarycryradio@gmail.com and just say like, hey crazy on
- 1:37:40Millennial Seed podcast, a Millennial Mustard Seed podcast.
- 1:37:44And, you know, tell me how great I did and that'll make me feel
- 1:37:48better, better about it. Tell me about your partial
- 1:37:51healing story. So shout out to to everybody.
- 1:37:54If you have never heard my work or the work that the Lord has so
- 1:38:00graciously done in spite of me, go check it out.
- 1:38:04You know there's a lot I me personally, I've got kind of a a
- 1:38:08range of stuff out there. We've got Canary Cry radio,
- 1:38:12Super Fringy interviews, high production quality type of
- 1:38:17thing. That's always fun and this
- 1:38:19confuses everybody. We've regretted naming this the
- 1:38:22same thing every day. Canary Cry Radio is one thing.
- 1:38:27Canary Cry News Talk is a totally different show.
- 1:38:32That's an in depth media deconstruction and analysis with
- 1:38:36a supernatural biblical worldview.
- 1:38:39We think you'll like that. It's a little bit more loosey
- 1:38:41goosey, a little bit more community oriented, but give it
- 1:38:45a couple of tries. And if you really wanna dive
- 1:38:48deep into the Basil verse, there's Ravel, which is a
- 1:38:53podcast I did with Doctor Christopher Ryan Gates.
- 1:38:55We're kind of along the same lines of, you know, your mission
- 1:39:00statement here. We're just digging into the
- 1:39:02weird stuff. I'd say it's it's probably a
- 1:39:06little bit, it's less Fringy in the way that we talk about
- 1:39:11Fringy here. It was my attempt to make, you
- 1:39:14know, a Fringy Ish feeling to maybe some people who are a
- 1:39:20little bit more normie, but some incredibly in depth fascinating
- 1:39:27interviews and topics on that one, with a very talented PhD in
- 1:39:31Biblical interpretation, Doctor Christopher.
- 1:39:34And then if you want to go even real to the bottom of the barrel
- 1:39:38of the Basil verse, go check out the Joy Spearcy Theory.
- 1:39:42It's just an incredible time hearing people's life stories
- 1:39:48and their interactions with the supernatural and the just the
- 1:39:52crazy. You know what that show showed
- 1:39:57me? I know nothing about what it's
- 1:40:00like to be someone else. Other people are just having
- 1:40:05such drastically different experiences than me.
- 1:40:10So that's a very valuable one as well.
- 1:40:12But no matter what you listen to, we got something for you.
- 1:40:15We got something for you laying around.
- 1:40:18Well, it was an honor to have this discussion with you, man.
- 1:40:22And I just you feel like an old friend, you know, You just, I
- 1:40:25feel like I've known you forever, just listening to you
- 1:40:28all these years and now being able to talk with you.
- 1:40:31I'm like, it's just too cool. So I love it, man.
- 1:40:35Well, you guys go leave. Canary Cry news talk.
- 1:40:38Canary Cry radio joy. Spearcy theories, all Basil's
- 1:40:42recommendations. And I'll put some stuff in the
- 1:40:44show notes so you guys can just go right down into the show
- 1:40:47notes of this episode and give it a click and show them some
- 1:40:50love if you don't know who they are.
- 1:40:52These guys are the reason that I coughed up enough courage to
- 1:40:56start broadcasting my own voice out there into the airwaves.
- 1:41:03Guns should be on in the near future.
- 1:41:06It's Mustard Seed episode 100. You guys, thank you for taking
- 1:41:10this journey with me. And please share this one.
- 1:41:14Yeah, I don't care how you share it.
- 1:41:15Just share this episode coming to you from Southeastern
- 1:41:20Pennsylvania. God bless and goodbye
- 1:41:33Southeastern Pennsylvania, you say.
- 1:41:35Yeah, we, I know we've got quite a bit of Canarians over on that
- 1:41:41side of the country. Really.
- 1:41:44Yeah. Yeah, a lot actually.
- 1:41:47So many as. It's heavily populated here.
- 1:41:50Yeah, that So we're, you know, just exploring the idea of doing
- 1:41:57some sort of conference or camp out or you know some sort of
- 1:42:02live thing. You know, I don't know what to
- 1:42:09call it. We're not calling it anything
- 1:42:10yet. And one of the locations that a
- 1:42:15producer of the show has offered is some sort of, I don't even
- 1:42:23know what to call it, some sort of wilderness camp?
- 1:42:28And Camp of the Unknown God East.
- 1:42:31Yeah, that might be a good way to do it.
