- 0:19Speaker 1: Return to Glory Podcast August fourteen, hunder Zarberniki, Austin Rose,
- 0:25Speaker 1: Dakota Free Tag And since we've last recorded, we've got
- 0:30Speaker 1: some big news for the fake Oklahoma fan. In the
- 0:34Speaker 1: podcast for Dakota, John Mattier gets busted with some Venmo transactions,
- 0:44Speaker 1: some potential gambling on his maybe not his own games,
- 0:50Speaker 1: but college games from a couple of years ago. Deck
- 0:54Speaker 1: it's Oklahoma season over.
- 0:57Speaker 2: I think he's totally fine. I don't see how Okay,
- 1:01Speaker 2: he said gambly on the Venmo, but how can you
- 1:05Speaker 2: percent prove that that was for gambling? Okay, you you
- 1:11Speaker 2: can on a sports Benning website, but you cannot, he
- 1:14Speaker 2: says a friendly joke. Okay, then privable like, you cannot
- 1:17Speaker 2: hund percent prove that it actually was for gambling.
- 1:20Speaker 3: The people investigated him, can the gambling Commission? Literally you yeah,
- 1:27Speaker 3: I must if he was doing it through a bookie,
- 1:29Speaker 3: in which case that's a whole different thing.
- 1:33Speaker 1: Dak You cracked me up with this take. If you
- 1:36Speaker 1: said this to me the other other day too, You're like,
- 1:39Speaker 1: how can you prove that he's doing it when literally
- 1:42Speaker 1: in the description it says gambling?
- 1:46Speaker 2: Okay, let me Lene pull up some Venmo receipts here,
- 1:53Speaker 2: do you Okay, but when you guys men know people,
- 1:54Speaker 2: do you actually put what you're paying for?
- 1:56Speaker 3: I only I'm a matte rule Venmo or I only
- 1:59Speaker 3: put a mooji.
- 2:00Speaker 2: He put bs on there all time? Okay, twelve days
- 2:06Speaker 2: ago I paid Hunter Batch? What did I pay you
- 2:09Speaker 2: for a batch or something?
- 2:15Speaker 3: Batch?
- 2:17Speaker 2: Yeah, let's see here.
- 2:19Speaker 3: Yet, I want you to know the current criminal investigation
- 2:25Speaker 3: system can definitely find out find out if you've been
- 2:27Speaker 3: gambling on sports.
- 2:31Speaker 2: Now if it was like maybe it was like ten
- 2:34Speaker 2: bucks between.
- 2:35Speaker 3: Like friends between friends. Probably not.
- 2:38Speaker 2: I think I think that's probably what it was, like
- 2:40Speaker 2: just a little from I don't think they can prove
- 2:42Speaker 2: this like it's said. I mean, it's obvious and it's
- 2:45Speaker 2: pretty obvious, but you can't unders prove it.
- 2:50Speaker 4: Do you understand how the court systems work? Though?
- 2:53Speaker 2: Like not?
- 2:54Speaker 4: I mean, it's not going to go to court obviously,
- 2:56Speaker 4: but you don't. You don't have to.
- 2:59Speaker 1: Literally, it's a lot of times beyond without reasonable doubt,
- 3:04Speaker 1: Like is it kind of a court saying thing?
- 3:08Speaker 4: It doesn't have to be like over idioted.
- 3:14Speaker 3: I don't know, because it'd be a criminal hard question mark,
- 3:20Speaker 3: if you were gambling on sports. I'm trying to remember
- 3:26Speaker 3: it be criminal or civil, because what the NCAA will
- 3:29Speaker 3: probably do is you suspend him, and then he would
- 3:31Speaker 3: sue the NCAA for wronical suspension, and then it'd be
- 3:34Speaker 3: a civil case, which would then go to a jury.
- 3:38Speaker 3: I don't know for sure, that is why I think
- 3:40Speaker 3: would happen. And then there's a jury sitting there and
- 3:43Speaker 3: they're like, he's like, I didn't, I didn't bet on sports,
- 3:46Speaker 3: and they point to it and says sports betting. What's
- 3:51Speaker 3: the jury and you have to be beyond reasonable doubt?
- 3:56Speaker 4: Is he gonna say, oh, I was just it was
- 3:58Speaker 4: it was. It was a joke.
- 4:00Speaker 3: Yeah, on the jury is gonna buy what he's gonna say,
- 4:04Speaker 3: and you think that's I bought it. He hasn't even
- 4:08Speaker 3: said that deck. He doesn't even come out and said
- 4:09Speaker 3: he help.
- 4:10Speaker 2: No, he did. He said he says a friendly joke,
- 4:13Speaker 2: a friendly joke, like like he did not. I can't
- 4:18Speaker 2: remember the exact words, but he said something like along
- 4:21Speaker 2: the line's eye. He said he's never gained on sports,
- 4:23Speaker 2: which that's gotta be true.
- 4:26Speaker 3: That's kind of true.
- 4:27Speaker 1: Okay, I'm cutting this conversation up right now.
- 4:33Speaker 2: But no before we do anyway, he's taking the first
- 4:35Speaker 2: snap because then it takes two years to misky and anything.
- 4:38Speaker 2: So He's fine.
- 4:39Speaker 4: True, you might have that.
- 4:42Speaker 2: You might have that, but I'm house from Hunter.
- 4:46Speaker 4: I hope for your sake that he's not playing.
- 4:49Speaker 2: This year's They won't take fourteen days to investigate this.
- 4:55Speaker 1: Okay, Nebraska Football Defensive and Special Teams Preview today. I'll
- 5:04Speaker 1: be honest, I think I might be more excited and
- 5:08Speaker 1: fired up to talk about special teams, which normally we
- 5:15Speaker 1: quote unquote brush over the special teams piece. And our
- 5:20Speaker 1: special teams looks like they brushed over their performance over
- 5:24Speaker 1: the past few years as well.
- 5:26Speaker 3: You know, maybe we should have. And I was looking
- 5:29Speaker 3: at last year's stats and we only missed five field goals.
- 5:32Speaker 3: Granted we stopped taking them at a certain point, but
- 5:35Speaker 3: I was like, wow, that's better than a pot. Two
- 5:38Speaker 3: of those were like from the forty to forty nine
- 5:39Speaker 3: Range's Like, okay, in my mind, I thought we were,
- 5:43Speaker 3: you know, barely a sixty percent field goal hitter.
- 5:45Speaker 1: But and I'm good with starting here because I I
- 5:50Speaker 1: think it's fresh off the off the block here and
- 5:54Speaker 1: and Mike Eckler had his press conference on Tuesday, spoke
- 5:57Speaker 1: to the media.
- 5:58Speaker 4: I'm Archie Wilson had a moment as well. I think.
- 6:06Speaker 1: X job is one of the most excited parts of
- 6:09Speaker 1: this year. You want to talk about drinking the kool
- 6:12Speaker 1: aid for myself and what I am fired up about
- 6:15Speaker 1: in this press conference.
- 6:16Speaker 4: Just added to it, like.
- 6:19Speaker 1: He is a dude and a football coach, and to me,
- 6:24Speaker 1: how I would describe him is a head coach that
- 6:31Speaker 1: basically said, I don't want to be a head coach.
- 6:34Speaker 1: I'm going to just become a master in special teams
- 6:37Speaker 1: and even though I might have the ability to move up,
- 6:41Speaker 1: I don't want to and I'm just going to become
- 6:44Speaker 1: an expert in the field on special teams. And that's
- 6:47Speaker 1: kind of what he's done. His task, I think is
- 6:52Speaker 1: very daunting.
- 6:54Speaker 3: Now.
- 6:54Speaker 4: It is still special team.
- 6:55Speaker 1: It's not like you're revamping an entire offense or things
- 7:00Speaker 1: like that. But there are a lot of pieces to fix.
- 7:02Speaker 1: And Austin you mentioned the five field goals. There were
- 7:06Speaker 1: a lot of things even last year that I think
- 7:08Speaker 1: that we maybe forgot. Now, some of those things we
- 7:11Speaker 1: forgot because they were in games that we won, but
- 7:14Speaker 1: like purduing Rutgers. I believe we had kicks blocked, two
- 7:18Speaker 1: punts blocked, maybe a field goal blocked.
- 7:20Speaker 3: Yeah, there was.
- 7:22Speaker 1: Maybe a returned extra point that got blocked. There was
- 7:29Speaker 1: the Iowa.
- 7:31Speaker 4: Game where.
- 7:33Speaker 1: We muffed a punt inside the five yard line or
- 7:36Speaker 1: something like that that was rough. Those are just things
- 7:41Speaker 1: that come to mind up the top.
- 7:42Speaker 4: Of my head.
- 7:43Speaker 1: But again, big mistakes. We didn't punt the ball on
- 7:46Speaker 1: the wrong side of the field like we did a
- 7:48Speaker 1: fie few years ago against Michigan State. There weren't as
- 7:50Speaker 1: many probably shanked punts in years past, but big mistakes that.
- 7:57Speaker 4: Led us to.
- 8:00Speaker 1: Either put us in position to not have a good
- 8:03Speaker 1: chance to win, or like the Iowa game, probably cost
- 8:07Speaker 1: us another game on special teams against the Hawkeyes.
- 8:10Speaker 4: So they haven't been good and they it's been like
- 8:14Speaker 4: that way for a while. Snaps in the holds like
- 8:19Speaker 4: that was an issue. Well, we know that. I believe
- 8:28Speaker 4: that things are going to get.
- 8:29Speaker 2: A lot now.
- 8:29Speaker 1: I can't get much worse, right, but I believe things
- 8:32Speaker 1: are going to get better with with coach Eckler. That's
- 8:35Speaker 1: my I guess overall take on him. His press conference
- 8:41Speaker 1: was just electric. Everything about it. If you didn't get
- 8:44Speaker 1: a chance to listen to it, go do it.
- 8:46Speaker 4: There's a short version out there that was a couple
- 8:48Speaker 4: of minutes, but the full one, I think is even.
- 8:50Speaker 3: Full one's good.
- 8:52Speaker 4: It's good like he is. He is.
- 8:56Speaker 1: Passionate about his job and and you want to go
- 9:01Speaker 1: run through a wall when you listen to him talk.
- 9:06Speaker 3: Yeah, there are there were times where it's like, okay,
- 9:09Speaker 3: you could tell he's got the football like you know,
- 9:11Speaker 3: and he's like, I've never been to a more discipline.
- 9:13Speaker 3: You know, it comes this, you know, the infrastructure. It's
- 9:15Speaker 3: never just a little too too much high praise. You know,
- 9:18Speaker 3: it's like, all right, that back a little bit. Let's
- 9:21Speaker 3: you know, let's not pretend like things were okay last year. Yeah,
- 9:28Speaker 3: I expect us to be better. I expect most of
- 9:33Speaker 3: the improvement to be in the punting area, not that
- 9:38Speaker 3: there is an improvement for the field goals, but I
- 9:40Speaker 3: just don't know. I feel like there's more There was
- 9:45Speaker 3: more room for punting to improve the first field goal unit,
- 9:49Speaker 3: which I couldn't.
- 9:51Speaker 1: I I thought our punting was our best part last year,
- 9:55Speaker 1: in our specialties like.
- 9:58Speaker 4: The Bouchini bombs and Brian like last year, there was
- 10:04Speaker 4: not much.
- 10:04Speaker 3: That's true.
- 10:05Speaker 1: There's not much that I was like, oh God, special
- 10:07Speaker 1: teams or punting hurt us last year. Now as it
- 10:11Speaker 1: in your past. Absolutely, we've had a lot of shanks
- 10:14Speaker 1: and what. We had a couple of blocks last year.
- 10:17Speaker 1: But I think the punting side is the part that
- 10:19Speaker 1: I was.
- 10:20Speaker 3: More more return wise. I guess return, yes, yes, returns
- 10:25Speaker 3: in general. Yeah, I mean we did return anything last year.
- 10:29Speaker 3: I can't remember where our best return was. I feel, yeah, exactly,
- 10:34Speaker 3: we had a couple of good ones that all get
- 10:35Speaker 3: called back dude to hold in. We haven't had I
- 10:39Speaker 3: mean our last good punt our, last good return specialist
- 10:42Speaker 3: was probably Pierce and l like seven years ago. Is that.
- 10:48Speaker 1: Yeah, it's been a long time. And and yeah, so
- 10:51Speaker 1: you're your punt returners this year. It sounds like we're
- 10:53Speaker 1: gonna be ja. Cory Barney Andrew Marshall are going to
- 10:55Speaker 1: be your two main guys on the kicker turn. You know,
- 10:59Speaker 1: I didn't really mentioned who's all in that mix, but
- 11:02Speaker 1: you know, maybe those guys my Sam Mosie might see
- 11:05Speaker 1: some time back there.
- 11:06Speaker 3: I did like how he specified what he's looking for
- 11:08Speaker 3: in a punt return into kick returning. He's like punt
- 11:10Speaker 3: return guys are you know, they're the the shifty, quick,
- 11:13Speaker 3: make you miss, but kick return guys those are you're
- 11:16Speaker 3: looking for something, just gonna blow it up and just
- 11:19Speaker 3: run wind. So that was that was interesting, interesting statement, Dad.
- 11:29Speaker 2: The first thing I had, Dan was what you said
- 11:31Speaker 2: this this guy needs to be a head coach. I
- 11:33Speaker 2: don't know. I don't know why. He must just love
- 11:37Speaker 2: special teams. I don't know. I've never heard somebody so
- 11:39Speaker 2: pumped up about kickers and punters. But but at one
- 11:46Speaker 2: part I got up, but I got out of it.
- 11:48Speaker 2: Was did he really like what he said that he
- 11:52Speaker 2: liked what he walked into?
- 11:54Speaker 3: Yeah. I don't think he leaves Tennessee if he thinks
- 11:57Speaker 3: he's walking into something bad.
- 12:00Speaker 2: I mean, yeah, I guess I guess he knows he's
- 12:01Speaker 2: walking into it. Maybe likes to fix messes. But I don't,
- 12:06Speaker 2: I don't know, like you, Like you said about the
- 12:08Speaker 2: punt returners last year, it was just crazy last year.
- 12:13Speaker 2: Four point nine yards per return, that's easy. The worst
- 12:17Speaker 2: part was your punt returning. And that's that's got to
- 12:20Speaker 2: be the best parties for the party's going to fix
- 12:23Speaker 2: the most And and you're you're coming in with this
- 12:28Speaker 2: Andrew Marshall guy that had forty one yards per return
- 12:30Speaker 2: and two touchdowns at Idaho, So that should help it.
- 12:36Speaker 3: Which you ars per return? How I saw that stat.
- 12:41Speaker 3: I didn't dig deep enough to be like, how many
- 12:43Speaker 3: times did he return the ball?
- 12:45Speaker 4: Yeah, it couldn't be much.
- 12:46Speaker 3: I get you know.
- 12:48Speaker 1: Here's here's where special teams to me. Here's how you
- 12:51Speaker 1: gotta look at it. There's two parts of it. One
- 12:54Speaker 1: there's the players and what they're able to do. So
- 12:58Speaker 1: what Dak just mentioned and giving us from the last
- 13:00Speaker 1: year's team, you're Dack's kind of saying, Okay, this guy's
- 13:03Speaker 1: better than what we've had. Well, okay, maybe like he
- 13:06Speaker 1: could be. I think there's a there's a more. I
- 13:12Speaker 1: think we had potential returners on the team in.
- 13:16Speaker 4: The past years. I'll put it that way.
- 13:18Speaker 1: So there's the players, and then when you go to
- 13:21Speaker 1: your punters and your kickers. I think that matters a
- 13:23Speaker 1: lot more. Then the second side of special teams is
- 13:27Speaker 1: the scheme and the coaching to it now, and I
- 13:31Speaker 1: think a lot of that isn't so much. There probably
- 13:35Speaker 1: is more. I don't know special teams that well. I
- 13:38Speaker 1: don't think most people do. They know it like the
- 13:39Speaker 1: common fan, But a lot of it is you're supposed
- 13:43Speaker 1: to do your job. But I think the big part
- 13:45Speaker 1: of the scheme and the mental side of it is
- 13:47Speaker 1: teaching them how to do their job, win to do
- 13:50Speaker 1: their job. As far as fielding punts, fielding kicks, we've
- 13:54Speaker 1: seen our fair share of fielding kicks inside the five,
- 13:56Speaker 1: inside the one, like running out of Baut at the
- 14:00Speaker 1: one Illinois a couple of years ago.
- 14:02Speaker 4: Like we've seen that fair share. But it's it's instilling that.
- 14:06Speaker 1: The correct way to do special teams into your players
- 14:11Speaker 1: to where one they're not scared to mess up and
- 14:15Speaker 1: then they're confident to do their job right and then
- 14:18Speaker 1: execute it. And I think that's a big, big piece
- 14:21Speaker 1: that we've talked about. You know, we've gone all over
- 14:23Speaker 1: the board of no, sometimes guys just got to do
- 14:25Speaker 1: their job well. That still falls back on your coaches
- 14:28Speaker 1: of getting them in the right firm of mind to
- 14:31Speaker 1: do that job. So there's two pieces to it. I
- 14:36Speaker 1: do think Dak like Andrew Marshall and people like that
- 14:39Speaker 1: could be good help.
- 14:41Speaker 4: But went back to the coach.
- 14:43Speaker 3: I pulled it up. He returned eight kickoffs for three
- 14:48Speaker 3: and twenty seven yards, so eight times for forty one
- 14:50Speaker 3: yards per perturn. That's pretty good. He did four that much,
- 14:56Speaker 3: So fourteen no, I mean it's still a not nothing though.
- 15:02Speaker 3: Hunt returns he had fourteen punt returns in the average
- 15:04Speaker 3: eleven yards. So these are numbers.
- 15:10Speaker 4: I think it's it was an Idaho state rider. Idaho.
- 15:13Speaker 3: I think it's just Idaho. Yeah, Idle, Idaho vandals. I mean,
- 15:19Speaker 3: you know, you talk about players executing, it's point. It's
- 15:23Speaker 3: good to point out that our whole special teams basically
- 15:26Speaker 3: is getting revamped. New long snapper, new punter, new returners.
- 15:34Speaker 1: We got a long snapper in the portal, like and
- 15:39Speaker 1: and we talked about this when we got him, Kevin Gaelic,
- 15:43Speaker 1: like it was our first portal get of the of
- 15:47Speaker 1: the off season, and we were so excited about it,
- 15:49Speaker 1: like who gets who goes and has to get a.
- 15:52Speaker 4: Long snapper in the portal? We do because it was
- 15:54Speaker 4: that bad.
- 15:56Speaker 3: And then we we went out and we sought out
- 15:59Speaker 3: like return special It's like, you know, Andrew Marshall, he'll
- 16:02Speaker 3: probably start we'll talk about it on defense, but like
- 16:06Speaker 3: I do think there was like, oh, this dude can
- 16:08Speaker 3: return the ball, like we're gonna we need special teams
- 16:12Speaker 3: to kick it up. So I think John Hole is
- 16:14Speaker 3: going to be really the only returning special teams impact player,
- 16:18Speaker 3: and even then, there's no guarantee that he's starting.
- 16:22Speaker 4: And what's your guys' take on players that.
- 16:32Speaker 1: I lost my train of thought because you mentioned John
- 16:35Speaker 1: Hole and I was got thinking Kyle Cunanan. So Kyle
- 16:38Speaker 1: Kunanan is the kicker that is contending John Hole, so
- 16:42Speaker 1: we'll go there. Tristan Albono is the third one still
- 16:44Speaker 1: in the mix, But like, what do you guys think
- 16:47Speaker 1: on those those guys that mix at the placekicker position?
- 16:52Speaker 1: You know, from what I've been hearing, I think it
- 16:54Speaker 1: probably could be Qunanan, but it sounds like him and
- 16:57Speaker 1: Hole are instill a.
- 17:00Speaker 4: Battle for that spot.
- 17:04Speaker 3: You know, I don't know, because like, did who did
- 17:11Speaker 3: cunanan transfer from last year? Do you remember? I don't either, because,
- 17:20Speaker 3: like I said, John, he kind of guys put him
- 17:22Speaker 3: by the end of the year. He started out a
- 17:23Speaker 3: little shaky, but I seem to remember by the end
- 17:26Speaker 3: of the year, It's like, Okay, I'm not worried about
- 17:28Speaker 3: John holheadingfield goals, And that's it's tough because you've seen
- 17:35Speaker 3: him in games in the Big Ten do it so I,
- 17:38Speaker 3: I honestly don't know. I don't remember where Kyle came from, but.
- 17:42Speaker 4: I think the Ohio State game helped a ton that
- 17:45Speaker 4: just came out of nowhere yep and just started drilling
- 17:49Speaker 4: fifty yarders.
- 17:52Speaker 3: I mean, yeah, it's it's all. It's sad that Tristan
- 17:55Speaker 3: felt a third from starting down to the third, but
- 17:59Speaker 3: I don't know. We'll see how it goes. It's tough.
- 18:01Speaker 3: I feel like that'd be a really hard thing to
- 18:03Speaker 3: evaluate practice though. It's like, Okay, which which one of
- 18:06Speaker 3: these guys is going to be the best kicker? And
- 18:09Speaker 3: if you feel fine, if they're in a competition, it's like, well,
- 18:12Speaker 3: you're gonna stick with one during the season to the
- 18:14Speaker 3: best of your ability, but you might how quick do
- 18:18Speaker 3: you pull a kicker after they missed field goals? You know,
- 18:21Speaker 3: especially if they're in a battle.
- 18:23Speaker 1: That's up to the coach. That's what makes it fascinating,
- 18:25Speaker 1: Like what is Eckler's approach going to be?
- 18:31Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 18:34Speaker 2: Canadians spent last year at cal did not play, but
- 18:37Speaker 2: he played at Charlotte the two years before went fourteen
- 18:41Speaker 2: to fourteen to twenty there on field goals, and then
- 18:46Speaker 2: he came from before that he was nine to fifteen
- 18:49Speaker 2: at it does not say there's no way.
- 18:55Speaker 3: He played somewhere else than Charlotte, and Kelly's a red
- 18:57Speaker 3: shirt sophomore. No, what is it?
- 19:01Speaker 2: Ah, In twenty twenty twenty four he went fourteen twenty
- 19:07Speaker 2: and then the year before he went nine to fifteen
- 19:08Speaker 2: on field goals.
- 19:10Speaker 4: So he did play.
- 19:12Speaker 2: Yeah so two years good. Look, last year he didn't
- 19:15Speaker 2: play at Calm.
- 19:18Speaker 4: That must have been his right short year. Yeah, well,
- 19:21Speaker 4: I don't know who knows how the years work anymore.
- 19:25Speaker 3: Now we've made it this far time special teams. We
- 19:27Speaker 3: haven't said the name I know, mister Nebraska Cornhusker twenty
- 19:32Speaker 3: twenty five Archie Wilson.
- 19:37Speaker 4: Oh man, I know we've held on this long like.
- 19:42Speaker 3: God has kissed his feet. If you ask anyone in
- 19:46Speaker 3: the Nebraska program, who's your favorite player, Archie Wilson. Favorite player,
- 19:52Speaker 3: Archie Wilson, Eckler's favorite player, Archie Wilson from Australia.
- 20:00Speaker 4: The all see uh.
- 20:03Speaker 1: He sounds like everything and plus that like in more
- 20:07Speaker 1: like recruited.
- 20:08Speaker 3: By Eckler to come to Tennessee, follows him to Nebraska.
- 20:11Speaker 4: Yes on his radar.
- 20:13Speaker 3: We get two hunting two punter transfers this last year,
- 20:17Speaker 3: and both of them are already gone. There was a
- 20:20Speaker 3: guy from Montana and then someone else who also transferred
- 20:23Speaker 3: out after we recruited them this last year to make
- 20:27Speaker 3: room for the Archie Wilson.
- 20:31Speaker 4: Guys.
- 20:32Speaker 1: I love it, like the hype, I love it. It's
- 20:35Speaker 1: it's great. It sounds like he's Here's what I think
- 20:37Speaker 1: I love about him the most. I'm not assuming here,
- 20:43Speaker 1: but I kind of am. I think he doesn't. I
- 20:46Speaker 1: get a vibe that he doesn't quite understand American culture.
- 20:49Speaker 1: Great because he's from Australia and so he's like as
- 20:53Speaker 1: far as the mental side of things, you're not. He's
- 20:55Speaker 1: not gonna get caught up in the hype of everything.
- 20:58Speaker 1: He's not gonna have like a bunch of pressure.
- 21:00Speaker 4: He's not like he's just coming over.
- 21:04Speaker 1: He's just this dude that can kick with both feet
- 21:07Speaker 1: and roll out and throw and like.
- 21:09Speaker 4: Just I don't know, like he did. There's so much
- 21:13Speaker 4: of that. I'm like, what is this going to look like?
- 21:15Speaker 4: And people Eler's Eckler's been you know, Eckler has been
- 21:19Speaker 4: staying up at night with a guy like this since
- 21:21Speaker 4: he's found him for three or four years ago. And
- 21:25Speaker 4: one and start hurting, and he's like, Okay, this.
- 21:28Speaker 1: Guy we can do this and this and this and
- 21:32Speaker 1: this and has this list of like new things because again,
- 21:35Speaker 1: this guy eats and breeze special teams, so he's not
- 21:40Speaker 1: he It's not like Eckler has had a guy like
- 21:42Speaker 1: this at every stop he's been right, it's it's a
- 21:45Speaker 1: it's a unique person that you know he's got And
- 21:49Speaker 1: I think was it Rule called him a weapon?
- 21:51Speaker 4: Or maybe Eckler has called him a weapon?
- 21:54Speaker 3: So I'm gonna go down his injury. Who we running
- 21:57Speaker 3: out there? We're putting freaking Rgie Wilson behind the center,
- 22:00Speaker 3: the Archie Wilson. My goodness, I'm excited about it. I mean, yeah,
- 22:11Speaker 3: I'll slipe a little bit of the kolid on it.
- 22:13Speaker 4: You know, like I am like, why not.
- 22:17Speaker 3: Man, the praise for this man. If he goes out
- 22:20Speaker 3: there and just shanks his first punt, that would be
- 22:25Speaker 3: just like, can you trust anyone in the building? Honestly?
- 22:28Speaker 3: You know, if he goes out there just shanks, It's like,
- 22:30Speaker 3: oh shit.
- 22:32Speaker 1: And Eckler mentioned he's going to be rolling right, rolling left,
- 22:36Speaker 1: having to what he's say, having to look where guys
- 22:39Speaker 1: are coming from with full patch, which it sounds like
- 22:41Speaker 1: that's what he was doing and his when Eckler recruited
- 22:46Speaker 1: him in this camp or whatever from Australia, Like now
- 22:49Speaker 1: he's just adding pads to it. So he's evaluating, Okay,
- 22:53Speaker 1: where's the rush.
- 22:54Speaker 4: So he's going to be doing.
- 22:56Speaker 1: The run, running and kicking what's that called the rugby style?
- 23:03Speaker 4: Like he's going to be doing that.
- 23:07Speaker 1: With both feet apparently, So he's never played that what's great,
- 23:11Speaker 1: never an American football game, never played in an official
- 23:14Speaker 1: American football game.
- 23:16Speaker 4: And who cares?
- 23:17Speaker 3: Yeah, Archie Wilson was what was Archie's last name in
- 23:23Speaker 3: the comics, The Archie Comics? Is it? It's got to be.
- 23:26Speaker 3: I mean, Wilson's like one of the whitest names out there.
- 23:32Speaker 2: You you said, uh, Archie is keeping Eckler up. And
- 23:36Speaker 2: I'm not sure Eckler has ever slept once in his life.
- 23:40Speaker 2: I mean I mean that that no way that guy's
- 23:43Speaker 2: sleep and he's thinks about such a Teams twenty four seven.
- 23:46Speaker 2: But but I'm a big fan of the rugby style
- 23:48Speaker 2: because it comes off your foot way different, and I
- 23:54Speaker 2: think it makes it's really hard to pick or pick
- 23:59Speaker 2: up a rugby style part.
- 24:02Speaker 3: Who is the last rugby style punter we had here?
- 24:05Speaker 3: Was hor No, we had a good one, did we?
- 24:10Speaker 2: I don't was it that guy that like did half
- 24:13Speaker 2: rugby style half half normal punts?
- 24:16Speaker 1: The only thing with the rugby style kicking that I've
- 24:19Speaker 1: been fascinated by over the last few years is it's
- 24:23Speaker 1: kind of going away. It was a big, big thing probably, man,
- 24:27Speaker 1: it's probably been ten years ago was when it kind
- 24:29Speaker 1: of got rolled out and there were I mean, I'm
- 24:31Speaker 1: not going to go maybe say half, but it was
- 24:33Speaker 1: close probably to half of the teams were using it,
- 24:35Speaker 1: and it almost was like a trend or a fad
- 24:38Speaker 1: for a while, and now it's kind of gone. NFL
- 24:41Speaker 1: teams don't use it. I think that's just an interesting trend.
- 24:48Speaker 1: I don't really have a whole lot of comments on it.
- 24:50Speaker 3: Is that good because is that it's one of those
- 24:52Speaker 3: things like is it going away because it's not as
- 24:54Speaker 3: effective or is it just going away because it's hard
- 24:56Speaker 3: to find rugby style punters correct?
- 24:58Speaker 1: Like I don't know, because it's harder to do, you know,
- 25:03Speaker 1: And is there a reason the NFL never went to
- 25:05Speaker 1: it or you know, is it if you can find
- 25:09Speaker 1: the elite like regular punters, the ones that are NFL caliber,
- 25:13Speaker 1: like those guys. Still the stats and everything are still
- 25:15Speaker 1: probably because if you can vomit in the air sixty
- 25:18Speaker 1: yards like I think Archie Wilson can do that too.
- 25:22Speaker 1: From what it sounds like, it's not always going to
- 25:24Speaker 1: be rugby every single time.
- 25:27Speaker 4: It sounds like he's got it all. So it I'm intrigued.
- 25:34Speaker 3: I'm so proud of pulls a hammy. Who we running
- 25:36Speaker 3: out there? The Archie Wilson any position, any day, the
- 25:42Speaker 3: ultimate utility tool. Yeah, I'm excited. Like I said, though,
- 25:48Speaker 3: if he goes out there and shakes that first punt,
- 25:50Speaker 3: it's like everyone in that buildings full of shit. I
- 25:52Speaker 3: don't want to hear a goddamn word from anyone.
- 25:54Speaker 1: When we will never have to punt, guys, maybe we'll
- 25:57Speaker 1: score every result.
- 26:00Speaker 2: It's on neck Larfie Shanks's though not on Archief.
- 26:03Speaker 1: Right, it is, and that X said that like it's me.
- 26:08Speaker 1: He goes, I want you to write ex stinks like that.
- 26:13Speaker 1: That's what he said. So here Here's here's the other
- 26:17Speaker 1: thing about Eckler two. So was was there some egotistical
- 26:23Speaker 1: type of comments in there that like I know what
- 26:26Speaker 1: I'm doing? Yes, there were, which I will say maybe rightfully.
- 26:32Speaker 1: So now we'll see if those comments, what those comments
- 26:35Speaker 1: turn into, and what perception it is. If things don't
- 26:38Speaker 1: get better, they should get better, but if they don't
- 26:41Speaker 1: and things don't continue to struggle. Eckler's been guys, and
- 26:45Speaker 1: we've mentioned this, but at a lot of different places
- 26:47Speaker 1: recently at Tennessee the last four years. But he's been
- 26:50Speaker 1: the special teams coordinator at North Texas, at Kansas, at Georgia.
- 26:54Speaker 1: He began his career as a GA at dak Oklahoma
- 27:00Speaker 1: into LSU. So he's been around the block and done
- 27:04Speaker 1: it at a lot of places in the high level
- 27:06Speaker 1: places as well.
- 27:07Speaker 4: So he does have the experience and the resume. You know,
- 27:11Speaker 4: he he knows his stuff.
- 27:13Speaker 1: And not to mention, he's from Nebraska ninety one to
- 27:16Speaker 1: ninety four as a linebacker, so he's played on some
- 27:22Speaker 1: pretty damn good football teams.
- 27:25Speaker 4: It's going to be.
- 27:28Speaker 1: A lot more aggressive, I think as far as what
- 27:31Speaker 1: we see from obviously returns where you can be aggressive.
- 27:36Speaker 4: In some of those styles.
- 27:37Speaker 1: So again, I usually not a fan of people that
- 27:41Speaker 1: kind of boast their their past and their.
- 27:47Speaker 4: Accolades. Aka Mark Whipple and Archie's defense.
- 27:52Speaker 3: They were asking or not Archie arch the arch and
- 27:55Speaker 3: Eckler's defense, they were asking him, Yes, you bring what
- 27:59Speaker 3: you know you're talking about? Great, this program was before
- 28:01Speaker 3: you got here. What are you adding to it? So correct?
- 28:05Speaker 1: So all at that slide here for now. Now things
- 28:08Speaker 1: don't get well, we'll see what happens. But I think
- 28:11Speaker 1: again excited about Eckler, excited about the special teams this year.
- 28:16Speaker 1: It's a big part of the game. Do you go
- 28:18Speaker 1: as far and say it's a third of the game. No,
- 28:20Speaker 1: probably not. Eckler had some other just great quotes in
- 28:24Speaker 1: there about how special teams it's not like you get You.
- 28:29Speaker 4: Don't get three tries three tries before down, like you
- 28:32Speaker 4: don't on both you get one try when you try
- 28:35Speaker 4: it out there. I love that angle of it, and
- 28:38Speaker 4: he I love how he said those guys cannot make
- 28:41Speaker 4: a mistake.
- 28:41Speaker 1: The only mistake they can make is if they aren't
- 28:44Speaker 1: busting their button going one hundred and ten miles an hour,
- 28:47Speaker 1: Like that's the only mistake. They can make because everything
- 28:50Speaker 1: else is on him, which again I love the ownership
- 28:52Speaker 1: and responsibility without anything being done yet.
- 28:59Speaker 2: I mean the one one thing that is the off
- 29:01Speaker 2: season for sure, and I am not looked at the
- 29:03Speaker 2: stats on this, but the longest special team's coach interview
- 29:07Speaker 2: of the off season. Actually there's no there's no way
- 29:12Speaker 2: any other team at a twenty minute interview with their
- 29:14Speaker 2: especial teams coach.
- 29:17Speaker 3: I'm sure there's someone out there.
- 29:21Speaker 4: I love it. I love everything about it.
- 29:23Speaker 2: Like I said, don't bring them Vegas.
- 29:25Speaker 1: Whole podcast about doesn't doesn't go to Vegas because he
- 29:27Speaker 1: puts all his chips in the table, every hand of blackjack,
- 29:32Speaker 1: like just just.
- 29:34Speaker 3: Jurassic coach, like hair on fire. Dan Campbell.
- 29:42Speaker 1: I want to hear him after every game. That's that's
- 29:44Speaker 1: that's what we want to.
- 29:45Speaker 2: Hear, which you might. I feel like he will get
- 29:50Speaker 2: the games.
- 29:51Speaker 3: People love him. All right, Let's talk defense. That was
- 29:56Speaker 3: like thirty minutes on Specialty.
- 29:57Speaker 4: I'm telling you I could do it, could do the
- 29:59Speaker 4: whole thing defense.
- 30:02Speaker 1: John Butler, taking over first year as DC, was obviously
- 30:07Speaker 1: on the staff last year as a defensive assistant, coming
- 30:13Speaker 1: from the Buffalo Bills, was also at Penn State, has
- 30:18Speaker 1: been a DB's coach, has more of that specialty.
- 30:24Speaker 4: I think the NFL.
- 30:28Speaker 1: Knowledge can be good and bad transferring I shouldn't say bad,
- 30:33Speaker 1: but there's gonna be pros and cons to transferring that
- 30:36Speaker 1: over as a full scheme. Now we're retaining the three
- 30:39Speaker 1: three five, there's gonna be our own like John Butler's
- 30:43Speaker 1: own twists on it. With a lot of these guys,
- 30:49Speaker 1: I'm cautiously optimistic. I guess with this defense right now,
- 30:53Speaker 1: it obviously was very good last year. I think a
- 30:58Speaker 1: big key all the talks on the off and how
- 31:00Speaker 1: much better it's going to be special teams like I
- 31:03Speaker 1: think the one thing that we need to make sure
- 31:05Speaker 1: doesn't happen as our defense falls from what it was
- 31:09Speaker 1: last year. I'm not gonna say it's going to be
- 31:11Speaker 1: as good, but it needs to stay in the ballpark
- 31:14Speaker 1: of where it's been.
- 31:15Speaker 4: And if we do that, top thirty, Yes, if we.
- 31:18Speaker 1: Do that, we will I think, like the results of
- 31:22Speaker 1: a lot of our games, I think there's no reason
- 31:26Speaker 1: we shouldn't be thinking that either.
- 31:27Speaker 4: With what we have coming back, some of the guys
- 31:29Speaker 4: we brought in.
- 31:31Speaker 1: I'm just a little bit hesitant on the whole Tony
- 31:36Speaker 1: White stuff and how I mean that's been brushed over
- 31:39Speaker 1: that some of the guys that left with him. I'm
- 31:43Speaker 1: a little hesitant there with all that what happened. I
- 31:46Speaker 1: think Tony White was a tam good coach, and I
- 31:48Speaker 1: think he knew a lot about the three three five
- 31:51Speaker 1: inside and out, and I think he did a great
- 31:53Speaker 1: job at the time that he was here.
- 31:55Speaker 4: So that's my caution here.
- 31:56Speaker 1: And I want to see our defense play well, play
- 32:00Speaker 1: with their heads flying around.
- 32:03Speaker 4: It sounds like that's.
- 32:03Speaker 1: The plan, But I'm just not all the way sold
- 32:06Speaker 1: here on our defense going into this year.
- 32:13Speaker 3: I mean sold, No, there's it's much less known than
- 32:16Speaker 3: last year, for sure, like we lost I was looking
- 32:19Speaker 3: at of our thirty sacks last year, twenty six and
- 32:22Speaker 3: a half of the people twenty six and a half
- 32:24Speaker 3: of them are gone by players that are no longer
- 32:26Speaker 3: with the program. So we only returned three and a
- 32:28Speaker 3: half sacks from players currently on the roster. There was
- 32:34Speaker 3: a lot offseason wise. His I thought it was funny
- 32:39Speaker 3: of like the people like, oh man, we gotta keep
- 32:41Speaker 3: Keona Davis, like we can't lose Keona Davis. I was like,
- 32:44Speaker 3: I didn't even know that dude played last year, you know,
- 32:47Speaker 3: like this is the guy that's gonna like anchor down
- 32:51Speaker 3: one of our edges, James Riley Van Poppel, Like he
- 32:53Speaker 3: got a couple of plays in last year, but I don't,
- 32:55Speaker 3: I don't ever remember be like, oh man, I can't
- 32:57Speaker 3: wait to see Van Poppel out there next year, like
- 33:01Speaker 3: taking over for Nash. So I agree, it's a little
- 33:09Speaker 3: I mean, at this point, I'm not gonna say it's
- 33:11Speaker 3: the It has the biggest room to fall back compared
- 33:14Speaker 3: to special teams in offense. So I feel that that's
- 33:16Speaker 3: probably why we're coldest on it, because the offense and
- 33:20Speaker 3: special teams only has it can only I should say,
- 33:23Speaker 3: only improve, but they have the most room for improvement.
- 33:26Speaker 3: So that's what we're more excited about to talk about
- 33:27Speaker 3: those than the impact players there. But we do have
- 33:31Speaker 3: a lot of seniors. It's it is an older team,
- 33:34Speaker 3: and I feel like that plays out pretty well in
- 33:36Speaker 3: college football are well. I mean we'll talk specifics, but
- 33:40Speaker 3: the defensive backs are all basically seniors that will be starting.
- 33:43Speaker 3: And they had it was eleven interceptions, twelve interceptions. I
- 33:49Speaker 3: don't remember what the exact number was last year, but
- 33:52Speaker 3: so they did pretty well. I like that we got
- 33:56Speaker 3: some senior transfers because again, I think just being bigger
- 33:59Speaker 3: and strong on ground defense, that's fine. You know you're
- 34:03Speaker 3: plugging you into a linebacker. I don't know if you
- 34:05Speaker 3: need to be as keenan on scheme on the defensive sides,
- 34:11Speaker 3: just like, Okay, I'm going after the I'm going after
- 34:14Speaker 3: the quarterback, or this is the the blitz were running
- 34:16Speaker 3: or I feel like it's pretty standard stuff. So we'll see.
- 34:20Speaker 3: I agree Tony White leaving scary, but Butler has been
- 34:24Speaker 3: doing it for a long time. We have another DC
- 34:27Speaker 3: in the defensive backs room. I don't know, we'll.
- 34:30Speaker 2: See, Yeah, I don't. I don't know if I call
- 34:34Speaker 2: it a fool rebuild because you got any seniors. But
- 34:37Speaker 2: it's gonna be. It's a lot of guys that haven't played,
- 34:41Speaker 2: but they have a lot of experience. I guess, yeah,
- 34:48Speaker 2: it'll be. It'll be interesting. He's still running that damn
- 34:52Speaker 2: three to three five. It sounds like.
- 34:55Speaker 4: I don't like it, question Mark.
- 34:57Speaker 2: Nope, I still don't like it.
- 35:00Speaker 3: Through the success of the last two years.
- 35:02Speaker 1: No, I think why, like, explain your explain your opinion here.
- 35:07Speaker 2: I just hate the three three five because I I
- 35:10Speaker 2: know it's I know it worked the last two years.
- 35:12Speaker 2: I feel like you have a lot more running room
- 35:14Speaker 2: when you have three down linemen.
- 35:19Speaker 4: Yeah, but yeah, there there's I mean, it worked.
- 35:21Speaker 2: The last two years, so do you know what it
- 35:24Speaker 2: works this year. I'll never say it again that it sucks, but.
- 35:27Speaker 4: Dock, you do, okay, And I get the concern.
- 35:30Speaker 1: That's the that's the very like fourth grade overview of
- 35:33Speaker 1: the three three five. Wow, it is like I think
- 35:39Speaker 1: that that's what our analysis was when we just put
- 35:43Speaker 1: in the three three five, Like that's what we thought
- 35:45Speaker 1: and what the opinion was that it's more vulnerable to
- 35:47Speaker 1: the run. But I think what we've learned over the
- 35:50Speaker 1: past couple of years here in Nebraska, but also just
- 35:54Speaker 1: other teams in the country running the three three five
- 35:56Speaker 1: is that it's very bowl.
- 36:01Speaker 3: Three three five is just the backbone the time we
- 36:05Speaker 3: have it's four linemen.
- 36:07Speaker 1: It's four linemen, bring two linebackers down.
- 36:11Speaker 4: It's it's you.
- 36:13Speaker 1: Are able to mold it into what you want. So yeah,
- 36:16Speaker 1: and that's what that's what Tony White did such a
- 36:20Speaker 1: great job of, was was doing that on teams that
- 36:24Speaker 1: run heavy like we stopped the run very well, and
- 36:28Speaker 1: and and including Ohio State like who tried to just
- 36:32Speaker 1: pound it down our throats and we held our own
- 36:35Speaker 1: there for a lot of that game last year, who
- 36:37Speaker 1: then went on to win a national champ So continue, Dak.
- 36:40Speaker 1: Sorry to call you a fourth grader, but sometimes we
- 36:43Speaker 1: think you are.
- 36:45Speaker 3: I did say that, Dak, here at least a fifth
- 36:47Speaker 3: grade level to me.
- 36:51Speaker 2: Well, your second grade level to me anyway got me.
- 36:55Speaker 2: I just think was that that was like, it'll be
- 37:01Speaker 2: interesting how if if the new DC can I I
- 37:06Speaker 2: lost his name, I cannot think of it anyway. Butler
- 37:10Speaker 2: can run three three five as much schematically well as
- 37:17Speaker 2: Tony White did. I think a lot of it had
- 37:19Speaker 2: to do with Tony White. He ran it very well.
- 37:22Speaker 2: I think you bring down the linebacker. I guess yeah,
- 37:25Speaker 2: that does give you more versatility in the pass rush.
- 37:31Speaker 2: I just I just don't line three three five. I'd
- 37:34Speaker 2: rather have four down linemen.
- 37:36Speaker 4: Which again, you can have four down lineman if you.
- 37:38Speaker 2: Want five every time four down lineman, and you.
- 37:42Speaker 4: Can if you want. The position.
- 37:46Speaker 1: Coaches here Bill Phil Simpsons are outside linebackers coach. In
- 37:52Speaker 1: his first year, Terry Bradd in the defensive line coach
- 37:54Speaker 1: coming from the Chiefs in his first year, Addison Williams
- 37:57Speaker 1: defensive backs coach, and also his first season coming from UCF.
- 38:04Speaker 4: Phil Snow forgot to mention him.
- 38:06Speaker 1: He's acting as the associate head coach, but his primary
- 38:09Speaker 1: focus is going to be on the defense as well.
- 38:13Speaker 1: All these guys are new I guess, I mean they're
- 38:20Speaker 1: all in their first year.
- 38:21Speaker 4: So again, the.
- 38:23Speaker 3: Only returning defensive position head coaches linebackers correct.
- 38:28Speaker 4: Correct, yep, So yeah, I don't think I mentioned him.
- 38:36Speaker 1: So I do think that again, hesitation wise, a lot
- 38:43Speaker 1: of newer guys, but these guys all have experienced, not
- 38:45Speaker 1: like they're fresh at the block of doing a lot
- 38:47Speaker 1: of their jobs. Getting the end of the players a
- 38:50Speaker 1: little bit more so. Austin mentioned a couple at the top.
- 38:53Speaker 4: Here's how I think of our defense this year and
- 38:57Speaker 4: every year with a three, three five, I'm moving more
- 38:59Speaker 4: towards that you can you can really dive down to
- 39:02Speaker 4: what the position's called if you wanted to.
- 39:05Speaker 1: To me, that doesn't mean a whole lot. Here's how
- 39:09Speaker 1: I think of it. We got two guys that are
- 39:10Speaker 1: gonna be on the line of scrimmage all the time,
- 39:13Speaker 1: maybe three, maybe four, But two main guys are Van
- 39:16Speaker 1: poppol Keona Davis, Like, those guys are bigger dudes. Those
- 39:21Speaker 1: are your nashes and your ties from last year, guys
- 39:23Speaker 1: that are gonna be run stoppers and pass rushers.
- 39:30Speaker 3: In past Elijah Judy into that group and.
- 39:32Speaker 1: And throw maybe Judy in there as well. Like my
- 39:37Speaker 1: big take on Van Poppel is he could be. I'm
- 39:42Speaker 1: really high on him. I think he was just behind
- 39:45Speaker 1: two really damn good players, like he just look good.
- 39:48Speaker 3: I totally agree. I just say that because people are
- 39:51Speaker 3: talking like he's like, oh man, you know.
- 39:54Speaker 1: And I think he has potential now he's only a sophomore.
- 39:57Speaker 1: And keeping in mind like ty Robinson, it wasn't like
- 40:00Speaker 1: this is sophomore. Ty Robinson was ty Robinson.
- 40:02Speaker 4: It took him.
- 40:04Speaker 1: I mean, by the time he finally was a senior,
- 40:06Speaker 1: he was like, oh boy, this is ty Robinson. So
- 40:09Speaker 1: keep that in mind too. But I do think that
- 40:12Speaker 1: those guys, I think the d line is a little
- 40:16Speaker 1: bit of the hesitation from a lot of people's standpoint
- 40:20Speaker 1: because they're maybe younger than the rest of our team.
- 40:24Speaker 4: I think they're gonna be.
- 40:24Speaker 1: They are, I mean, and they are I think it's
- 40:27Speaker 1: gonna be We're gonna be.
- 40:28Speaker 4: Pleasantly surprised, I think with our D line. I hope.
- 40:34Speaker 3: Uh, I guess it depends on your expectations. Are is
- 40:38Speaker 3: what at least to be being pleasantly dis surprised, right correct?
- 40:43Speaker 3: And we're not. I know we're not gonna be like
- 40:45Speaker 3: last year. I don't think we're gonna be as disrupted.
- 40:47Speaker 3: I don't think we're as good against the run people
- 40:51Speaker 3: I'm most interested in. I guess I don't want to
- 40:53Speaker 3: interrupt your flow. You're talking, you have your two three guys,
- 40:55Speaker 3: so I don't.
- 40:55Speaker 1: Want yes, So I'm starting there, Dak, you got anything
- 40:59Speaker 1: on the D line before I move on?
- 41:02Speaker 2: No, I just thought, I mean, didn't play that much.
- 41:04Speaker 2: But I think he saw in the games he did
- 41:06Speaker 2: play when he was in and I he's I think
- 41:11Speaker 2: he's probably your most impact player on the D line.
- 41:16Speaker 4: Yeah. I hope there's a development with him too.
- 41:20Speaker 3: I mean, Jalen George is probably the only other guy
- 41:23Speaker 3: you could probably mention in that position. The transfer from
- 41:25Speaker 3: Georgia State.
- 41:26Speaker 4: Yep, if he's another one that he's probably gonna.
- 41:28Speaker 1: See some some snaps there as well. I think there's
- 41:32Speaker 1: a lot of guys probably that will forget that I'll
- 41:34Speaker 1: see snaps because I do think we're gonna be very aggressive,
- 41:37Speaker 1: and I think we're gonna sub a lot. We're gonna
- 41:40Speaker 1: see a lot of different guys play. So then I'm
- 41:42Speaker 1: gonna go complete opposite and go to the back end.
- 41:45Speaker 1: I think you're gonna see guys that are never gonna
- 41:47Speaker 1: play in the box or very rarely unless they're on
- 41:50Speaker 1: a on a random dB blitz, And those are gonna
- 41:53Speaker 1: be more of your corners. You know, maybe you can
- 41:55Speaker 1: throw some safeties in there, but Malcolm Hartzog see her right,
- 41:59Speaker 1: Amaris and.
- 42:03Speaker 4: Are going to be.
- 42:04Speaker 1: Andrew Marshall another one, Donovan Jones a freshman. Maybe we'll
- 42:08Speaker 1: see some time.
- 42:11Speaker 4: Those are your corners.
- 42:12Speaker 1: Your safety's Marquise Buford, Deshaun Singleton. All these guys in
- 42:18Speaker 1: the back end are experienced, they're veterans, they're guys that
- 42:21Speaker 1: have played a lot of snaps. Their names that we've heard,
- 42:23Speaker 1: even in Nebraska. I think this is the position everybody
- 42:27Speaker 1: feels good about, and I also think it's the hardest position.
- 42:31Speaker 1: One of the hardest, maybe besides quarterback in football is
- 42:34Speaker 1: defending a lot of these receivers. Good news is we
- 42:37Speaker 1: don't have to play Ohio State that has five of
- 42:38Speaker 1: them this year. I do think in the Big ten
- 42:44Speaker 1: you say that, but we held them to.
- 42:46Speaker 4: Correct and they did a ten good job last year.
- 42:49Speaker 4: So on the back end, I.
- 42:53Speaker 1: Think we have a lot of talent and experience. We
- 42:56Speaker 1: have a lot of speed. I think we should match
- 43:01Speaker 1: up well with some teams. Again, it's just putting it
- 43:06Speaker 1: all together. I think I think we have the players,
- 43:08Speaker 1: it's putting it all together.
- 43:11Speaker 4: As a unit.
- 43:12Speaker 3: Last year we had eleven interceptions. This was the last
- 43:14Speaker 3: time you could say we had that. And like you said,
- 43:20Speaker 3: hard Zog senior, right, senior, Buford senior, Singleton senior, Marshall senior, sorry,
- 43:27Speaker 3: junior transfer, junior. So I mean it's an old it's
- 43:32Speaker 3: an old crew. I hope they can keep up, just kidding.
- 43:41Speaker 2: Which which I think a secondary is probably what you
- 43:46Speaker 2: want the most experienced like senior wise, most experienced position
- 43:53Speaker 2: on defense you would like to have.
- 43:55Speaker 3: It's definitely it requires probably the most nuanced techniques. Like
- 44:02Speaker 3: you know, it's like, oh, I can see where they're
- 44:04Speaker 3: shifting their body weight, so I know where I need
- 44:06Speaker 3: to go. Where you get closer to the quarterbacks, like
- 44:09Speaker 3: I'm just trying to get to the quarterback, however I
- 44:12Speaker 3: need to.
- 44:13Speaker 2: It takes time to figure out how to Yeah, how
- 44:16Speaker 2: to play the secondary. I think college more so.
- 44:21Speaker 1: If you're rolling out a freshman or sophomore in the secondary,
- 44:26Speaker 1: you're a lot more worried and concern than if you're
- 44:29Speaker 1: rolling out of freshman or sophomore in the interior.
- 44:32Speaker 4: Seven eight.
- 44:35Speaker 2: Yeah, I think I think it's going to be a
- 44:39Speaker 2: very solid group. Out of the three, I would say
- 44:43Speaker 2: probably most confident in your secondary.
- 44:48Speaker 3: I probably agree with that. Yeah, the new coordinator, I
- 44:52Speaker 3: can't remember his name. Where was he the DC at
- 44:55Speaker 3: you see, Yeah, Addison Williams years ago and he was
- 45:02Speaker 3: passing yards allowed or something like that.
- 45:04Speaker 4: Yep.
- 45:05Speaker 3: So I mean, and then you have John Butler who's
- 45:09Speaker 3: experiences in secondary, so it's probably a well coached unit
- 45:13Speaker 3: as well.
- 45:14Speaker 2: I agreed.
- 45:15Speaker 1: So then last we have all these guys that are
- 45:17Speaker 1: in the middle, and you had all these linebacker positions,
- 45:20Speaker 1: and then even throw some guys down at the edge.
- 45:22Speaker 4: We haven't mentioned kam len.
- 45:24Speaker 1: Hart and Williams and Wherry, Like those two guys are
- 45:27Speaker 1: probably gonna play on the line more, but they also
- 45:31Speaker 1: have the ability I think, to move some around and
- 45:34Speaker 1: and while they probably will be in the line a lot,
- 45:38Speaker 1: all these positions to me are very very interchangeable, and
- 45:42Speaker 1: you're gonna see guys playing a ton of different spots.
- 45:45Speaker 1: Now you're really diving deep into the three three five
- 45:49Speaker 1: and the scheme of it. As all the players and
- 45:53Speaker 1: coaches will know that they have their roles in spots
- 45:55Speaker 1: and they would say, no, that's bullshit. We know exactly well, yes,
- 45:59Speaker 1: but to the average fan watching, it's going to look
- 46:04Speaker 1: like they're all kind of doing kind of the same thing.
- 46:07Speaker 1: And these guys are mentioning here, Vincent Shavers who just
- 46:12Speaker 1: became a single digit number, Marquis Watson, Trent and the
- 46:19Speaker 1: Saw mccola both transferring in. Javin Wright also playing a
- 46:25Speaker 1: lot last year. Again, these are some of these guys
- 46:28Speaker 1: are very veteran guys and have played a lot of snaps.
- 46:31Speaker 1: I mentioned you mentioned Elijah Judy earlier, Willis McGahee maybe
- 46:35Speaker 1: we'll see maybe something from him. And then even those
- 46:39Speaker 1: those safeties, you know, those guys get rolled down and
- 46:43Speaker 1: sometimes as well.
- 46:44Speaker 4: So all of these players that I miss anybody, I
- 46:49Speaker 4: don't think so.
- 46:51Speaker 1: Dawson Meredith freshman who apparently has looked has looked good
- 46:56Speaker 1: so far. I think you're going to see a lot
- 46:59Speaker 1: of did you mention McGahee McGahee, Jacob Houer. All of
- 47:07Speaker 1: these guys, to me.
- 47:10Speaker 4: Are what makes the three three five special and flexible
- 47:15Speaker 4: to the opposing things offense.
- 47:17Speaker 1: And what we think and you've heard is going to
- 47:20Speaker 1: happen from John Butler's defense is going to be even
- 47:23Speaker 1: more aggressive, more crazy than what Tony White had in
- 47:30Speaker 1: a year ago, and Tony White up to that from
- 47:36Speaker 1: even years past, as far as the blitzes and selling
- 47:39Speaker 1: out on passing downs, on rundowns, sometimes more vulnerable to
- 47:45Speaker 1: big plays, but at the same time making big plays
- 47:48Speaker 1: of your own. And Austin you mentioned forcing more turnovers.
- 47:51Speaker 1: That was something that was a big priority going into
- 47:55Speaker 1: last year and we did a pretty damn good job
- 47:57Speaker 1: of it. So I mean, this group would you would
- 48:02Speaker 1: you say this is our deepest group? They might not
- 48:04Speaker 1: have the top talentka I think you know, if you
- 48:06Speaker 1: were to look at it, the secondary probably has the
- 48:08Speaker 1: best top end talent, but it's not very deep. But
- 48:10Speaker 1: this group might be the middle of the pack as
- 48:13Speaker 1: far as talent was. But the deepest group. Yes, like, yeah,
- 48:17Speaker 1: I think that's a fair way of saying there's just
- 48:21Speaker 1: a lot of guys there that we don't know who's
- 48:22Speaker 1: going to be seeing the snaps which.
- 48:25Speaker 3: But there's also a lot of guys that you feel
- 48:26Speaker 3: good about seeing snaps.
- 48:27Speaker 4: Correct.
- 48:28Speaker 1: Usually you go okay that that that means either they're
- 48:31Speaker 1: very equal, But I don't think we have a bunch
- 48:33Speaker 1: of average defenders, like I think we have some pretty
- 48:37Speaker 1: good talent here.
- 48:39Speaker 4: It's it's just it's putting it all together in the scheme.
- 48:41Speaker 1: And again, you gotta trust the experience of John Butler
- 48:46Speaker 1: and what he has coached in the past and his
- 48:49Speaker 1: ability to navigate a defense. Maybe that he's not always
- 48:52Speaker 1: ran three three five that dak Is absolutely hates. Just
- 48:57Speaker 1: putting it all together into a unit, I think is
- 49:01Speaker 1: the question that we need to see happen before anybody
- 49:04Speaker 1: says yep, this defense hasn't lost the beat from last year.
- 49:08Speaker 3: It's worth pointing out Javin right Shavers and right Van
- 49:13Speaker 3: the three single digits so far on the defensive side.
- 49:19Speaker 2: Yeah, this is this is a position you want to
- 49:21Speaker 2: be the most deep end. I don't do you think
- 49:26Speaker 2: you think mind's gonna be on the line mostly. Okay,
- 49:30Speaker 2: I was gonna says I'm I think he's going to
- 49:33Speaker 2: be very good this year. Yeah, I don't. We're talking
- 49:40Speaker 2: about secondaries. You're you're the most satisfied with or I
- 49:46Speaker 2: think the linebackers are the you you have a lot
- 49:50Speaker 2: of depth here, but not very confident in going into
- 49:56Speaker 2: the year in this position. Out of the three, I
- 50:01Speaker 2: would say.
- 50:02Speaker 4: Yeah, probably, And just because two of them, I mean
- 50:05Speaker 4: two of the guys that are now I mean Vincent
- 50:07Speaker 4: Shavers guys, I think it's gonna play a lot to.
- 50:09Speaker 3: Me, Shavers and McGahee. I think you're gonna two of the.
- 50:13Speaker 4: Guys are just are new right there.
- 50:14Speaker 1: They're they're transfers in and we're trying to kind of
- 50:17Speaker 1: putting a little bit of trust in Oklahoma, which is
- 50:19Speaker 1: always a bad idea.
- 50:21Speaker 4: So like that, that's probably why Dak you're pretty hesitant
- 50:24Speaker 4: on them.
- 50:25Speaker 3: I mean of the on the defensive side. You know,
- 50:28Speaker 3: we kind of did this on offense. But what what
- 50:29Speaker 3: player are you most excited to watch or see what happens?
- 50:35Speaker 3: Is it right? Van Popol? Yeah? For me this no,
- 50:39Speaker 3: I'm talking just defense.
- 50:40Speaker 1: For me, it's Van popular, Keona Davis like I excited,
- 50:43Speaker 1: but also like I'll probably higher expectations than most people,
- 50:47Speaker 1: even though they're both sophomores.
- 50:48Speaker 4: I'm excited to watch those too.
- 50:50Speaker 1: I think they're I don't think we're gonna be taking
- 50:52Speaker 1: as big of a fall off at that position that
- 50:55Speaker 1: people think from Nash and Tie.
- 51:00Speaker 2: I'm sorry for cam Lynnheart. I think I think he's
- 51:03Speaker 2: an animal.
- 51:08Speaker 3: I mean, the one of the most interested by is
- 51:10Speaker 3: williams Horne. The warny saw you pronounce it. But that's
- 51:18Speaker 3: just because I mean, that's a pure that's just a
- 51:21Speaker 3: pure speculation. I you know, why did it not work out? Missouri?
- 51:25Speaker 3: I'm interested in why.
- 51:28Speaker 4: We paid him the dollars and only a freshman.
- 51:35Speaker 1: The other guy watches Venmos we mentioned on the special
- 51:40Speaker 1: team's part is Andrew Marshall. Who I mean, I think
- 51:44Speaker 1: he's gonna play, He'll start, He's gonna probably gonna start.
- 51:48Speaker 1: I mean, he's gonna be in there a lot. I
- 51:50Speaker 1: remember my point, I lost my train of thought on earlier.
- 51:53Speaker 1: What's your guys' take on starters playing on special teams
- 51:59Speaker 1: versus playing all non starters.
- 52:02Speaker 4: That's what I was gonna ask, But.
- 52:05Speaker 3: Playing your best players all the time your most athletic guys.
- 52:10Speaker 3: That's specifically for returning the ball. Now, I don't want
- 52:13Speaker 3: my starters out there, you know, necessarily always, you know,
- 52:17Speaker 3: blocking punts or kickers. But I want my best players
- 52:21Speaker 3: out on the field as much as possible.
- 52:27Speaker 2: I'm not big on having your best players return kicks
- 52:32Speaker 2: in punts because there's a lot of room or that's
- 52:35Speaker 2: just more place for injury that could happen because a
- 52:39Speaker 2: mere did it merely turn a lot of kicks?
- 52:42Speaker 3: Your turn to.
- 52:45Speaker 4: DAC.
- 52:45Speaker 1: I think that's what you just said. I think is
- 52:47Speaker 1: a little bit of what I think of a problem
- 52:49Speaker 1: of perception. If you start this is not just the
- 52:52Speaker 1: rasping football, this is in general.
- 52:53Speaker 4: If you start.
- 52:54Speaker 1: Getting worried about injuries and not playing your best guys
- 52:57Speaker 1: because you're afraid they're going to get hurt, you're playing scared.
- 53:00Speaker 1: To me, that's that's your Now, there's a fine line.
- 53:04Speaker 1: I get that, But you can't be not playing guys
- 53:07Speaker 1: because oh, they might get hurt.
- 53:08Speaker 3: Well, there's a difference between putting them in a reckless position, yes,
- 53:13Speaker 3: putting them in a well coached you know, and anymore,
- 53:18Speaker 3: there's so many fair catches and you know, the kicks
- 53:24Speaker 3: through the end zone, that they're just out there that
- 53:27Speaker 3: they deter them from kicking it as best as they could.
- 53:32Speaker 1: Here's to me, why you balance the starters with the
- 53:36Speaker 1: non starters of special teams. I'm with you, Austin. I
- 53:39Speaker 1: think you need your best players in the field, And
- 53:43Speaker 1: part of me wants to just say, you know what,
- 53:45Speaker 1: screw it. Put your literally I don't care if they're
- 53:47Speaker 1: all starting on an offense or defense. Put your best
- 53:49Speaker 1: guys out there everywhere, on every unit, because you want
- 53:53Speaker 1: your best players in the field. Like, that's one way
- 53:55Speaker 1: of looking at it. Why I don't think you can
- 53:58Speaker 1: do that, and why I think you need the other
- 54:00Speaker 1: guys in there.
- 54:00Speaker 4: Maybe you're younger guys.
- 54:02Speaker 1: There is a perception and a mental side of your
- 54:06Speaker 1: entire team, your entire group that you want guys to
- 54:10Speaker 1: earn their spots on special teams to then hopefully get
- 54:14Speaker 1: their confidence and they're playing time on the field, all
- 54:16Speaker 1: that building so that maybe in a year or two
- 54:18Speaker 1: they can then be playing on the defense or might
- 54:23Speaker 1: find their way. A lot of these guys are defensive guys,
- 54:26Speaker 1: but offense as a receiver, Like, you want guys' confidence
- 54:31Speaker 1: to build by starting them on special teams. Okay, they've
- 54:34Speaker 1: seen the field now for seven or eight snaps a
- 54:36Speaker 1: game as a freshman, and you become you can take
- 54:40Speaker 1: a little pride in becoming the special teams guy that
- 54:43Speaker 1: gets to go out there on kickoff and and fly
- 54:47Speaker 1: on the field and they can tackle. Now, you got
- 54:49Speaker 1: to do that without being reckless. But I think that's
- 54:52Speaker 1: why you play young guys. Because you do, you make
- 54:56Speaker 1: them feel part of the team, and guys can get
- 54:58Speaker 1: really good at Just like Mike Eckler has specialized in
- 55:02Speaker 1: special teams, like these guys that maybe aren't on the
- 55:06Speaker 1: starting unit on defense or offense, they can specialize this
- 55:10Speaker 1: year on special teams and become really good, better than
- 55:15Speaker 1: throwing out a random.
- 55:16Speaker 4: Guy like the Saan mccola.
- 55:17Speaker 1: Who you know what, maybe he if he's spending time
- 55:21Speaker 1: away from his position and focusing on special teams, he's
- 55:24Speaker 1: going to lose a little bit of his move on defense.
- 55:27Speaker 1: So that's why I think he balanced it. Now, which
- 55:31Speaker 1: way's right, I don't know. Eckler at Tennessee did almost
- 55:35Speaker 1: all non starters. I think he probably had a little
- 55:40Speaker 1: more depth at Tennessee than he did in Nebraska. Just
- 55:44Speaker 1: speaking at a high level. I don't know that for sure,
- 55:46Speaker 1: but I think that maybe is why.
- 55:47Speaker 4: So that's why I think you balance it. There's a
- 55:50Speaker 4: give and take there on what you do on special teams.
- 55:55Speaker 3: What unit? Now we've talked all three, what unit do
- 55:59Speaker 3: you think we're going to spend them? Was time talking
- 56:00Speaker 3: about this year from a negative aspect?
- 56:04Speaker 4: Negative aspect?
- 56:06Speaker 3: Defense, offense, special teams, offense? I think so too. If
- 56:18Speaker 3: you were to rank, you know, the top ten players
- 56:20Speaker 3: on the team from all positions, because Archie, then Dylan
- 56:25Speaker 3: and then probably six defense and maybe another two offense
- 56:35Speaker 3: Cory or dankyan em It maybe slip in there.
- 56:39Speaker 1: That might be a little bit because you're naturally going
- 56:41Speaker 1: to talk about offense. But in perspective like I'm I'm
- 56:48Speaker 1: blindly trusted Mike Eckler, I would say in years past,
- 56:52Speaker 1: based on the amount of time that they spend on
- 56:54Speaker 1: the field to what we talk about, our special teams
- 56:56Speaker 1: has been leading that category in the negative field.
- 56:59Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, you're just not. There are so few
- 57:02Speaker 3: opportunities for the special teams to to really blow a game.
- 57:06Speaker 3: Last we found them practice and we've done right, and
- 57:10Speaker 3: so we trust Eckler to at least get us back
- 57:12Speaker 3: to neutral, and last year we trend it towards neutral.
- 57:14Speaker 3: I mean our punting. The actual punting was decent by
- 57:17Speaker 3: the end of the year. The field goal kicking was decent.
- 57:20Speaker 3: It was the return game where we were struggling and
- 57:22Speaker 3: some blocked stuff that we were struggling, but we can
- 57:24Speaker 3: probably clean those up. I probably think that it's gonna
- 57:28Speaker 3: be offense. I think defense is going to be fine.
- 57:34Speaker 2: I think it will be offense, but there's definitely a shot.
- 57:36Speaker 2: Ever special team sucks. We will be talking about that
- 57:39Speaker 2: the most.
- 57:41Speaker 3: I just I can't believe it. I just can't as Archie,
- 57:46Speaker 3: the Archie Wilson back there on.
- 57:50Speaker 2: Yeah, is he? So who's your most especially the defense combined,
- 57:55Speaker 2: the most decided player.
- 57:57Speaker 4: It's Archie Archie Wilson's It's not even a question.
- 58:03Speaker 3: Who's the most dude, the player you most excited for
- 58:05Speaker 3: him the Nebraska football team in twenty twenty five. Could
- 58:09Speaker 3: it be the freaking punter? It might be if you,
- 58:14Speaker 3: I mean you look online, it might be him or
- 58:19Speaker 3: Dan Key seems to be what everyone. Yeah, that's all
- 58:22Speaker 3: everyone wants to talk about.
- 58:24Speaker 4: Oh, Archie, I mean, this is great. You can hype
- 58:27Speaker 4: this guy up.
- 58:28Speaker 1: And I, like I said earlier, I don't think it's
- 58:30Speaker 1: gonna face him. I just which makes it even better.
- 58:34Speaker 1: I just think he's he's archie.
- 58:37Speaker 3: We Also, I do want to point out he's not
- 58:41Speaker 3: a single digit yet. He will be a single digit
- 58:43Speaker 3: by the end of his tenure in Nebraska.
- 58:46Speaker 4: Number here's another great part. Guys.
- 58:49Speaker 1: You know when you think of punters and kickers and everything,
- 58:52Speaker 1: like what number you think your guy's probably like in
- 58:54Speaker 1: the thirties and guys in the nineties, right, Like those
- 58:57Speaker 1: are your numbers.
- 58:57Speaker 3: He's eighty three, Like I don't care.
- 59:01Speaker 1: Karen's non baby like he's like, I just I'm gonna
- 59:03Speaker 1: be eighty three.
- 59:05Speaker 2: Your new your new kicker is ninety eight, I.
- 59:09Speaker 3: Think, like whatever his name is against yep.
- 59:14Speaker 2: And he looks a little chunky. I'm just gonna say that.
- 59:16Speaker 4: I guess this roster's got him at ninety one. But
- 59:19Speaker 4: I don't know. I could give a shit less of
- 59:22Speaker 4: your kickers. Chunky. I don't care.
- 59:25Speaker 1: The guy from Missouri a couple of years ago, he
- 59:27Speaker 1: could foot him from seventy yards and he was he
- 59:29Speaker 1: was chunky. It's not like you gotta be athletic. The
- 59:32Speaker 1: only thing is your kick gets blocked. You're definitely not
- 59:34Speaker 1: chasing him down.
- 59:35Speaker 3: But right there's not any fake punt, fake kick runs
- 59:40Speaker 3: with those guys other single ditch. I guess Genarian, Bonner,
- 59:45Speaker 3: dan Key, and Jacory number two. So that leave receivers
- 59:52Speaker 3: all receivers.
- 59:55Speaker 4: Yeah, I guess.
- 59:56Speaker 1: Back into your point on the unit and what you're concerned,
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: I just don't see us getting into forty five forty
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: two shootouts.
- 1:00:08Speaker 4: I don't either, mainly not because I don't think our
- 1:00:10Speaker 4: offense can do it.
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: I just don't think our defense is going to give
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: up thirty plus forty plus consistently.
- 1:00:16Speaker 4: Now what could have happened a couple of games, we're not.
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: That's why I like, I don't I feel okay about
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: our defense, like our offense, as we have in the
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: past couple of years, just freaking find a way to
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: score three or four touchdowns get us.
- 1:00:28Speaker 3: You look at the sense we're not playing Oregans. You know,
- 1:00:31Speaker 3: we're not playing Ohio, State, State, Iowa, Michigan grind it
- 1:00:37Speaker 3: out running teams. So I mean, if there are times
- 1:00:40Speaker 3: where we're gonna be frustrating the defense, but we're not
- 1:00:43Speaker 3: gonna like yeah, I agree. We're not gonna be giving
- 1:00:46Speaker 3: up forty points a game, hopefully, you know, no more.
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: Yeah, if we lose a game forty five to forty two,
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: we'll be talking about our defense in a very negative way.
- 1:00:56Speaker 4: There will be very few negative offensive comments. Yeah, I
- 1:01:01Speaker 4: mean in that situation, I.
- 1:01:03Speaker 2: Mean, your best shot of having a shoot as your
- 1:01:04Speaker 2: first game of the year. I feel like.
- 1:01:08Speaker 4: Maybe I think Cincinnati is going to try to slow
- 1:01:11Speaker 4: it down.
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: In my mind, we'll talk about Cincinnati in a couple
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: of weeks, but I think they're going to run the
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: ball and try to keep it low scoring, which I agree.
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: I think our offense could explode, like why not?
- 1:01:24Speaker 3: Okay, what others canoes? Yeah? Is that it?
- 1:01:28Speaker 4: That's it?
- 1:01:32Speaker 5: What did we come today?
- 1:01:34Speaker 2: Kick off?
- 1:01:34Speaker 3: Two weeks?
- 1:01:35Speaker 5: People?
- 1:01:35Speaker 2: The boys being casey? First time meeting that's.
- 1:01:39Speaker 4: True, Okay, first time for Austin and Dak. I have
- 1:01:43Speaker 4: I have met both of them several times.
- 1:01:46Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm sure, Yeah, that's true. I've never met Dak
- 1:01:49Speaker 3: in person.
- 1:01:50Speaker 2: Austin's been hiding for me for three years.
- 1:01:51Speaker 3: I have des like, hey, you want to come to
- 1:01:53Speaker 3: my birthday party? He's like, no way in hell.
- 1:01:58Speaker 4: Good decision.
- 1:02:00Speaker 2: All ill. It was the Cincinnati Brats game.
- 1:02:03Speaker 3: I'll tak the Cincinnati Oh we head it. Go is
- 1:02:05Speaker 3: three hours away.
- 1:02:08Speaker 4: Okay, we'll be back next week.
- 1:02:10Speaker 5: Go be Red tv R, Go'll Be Red, became
- 1:03:17Speaker 4: Pac
