- 0:38Speaker 1: Good afternoon, everybody, and welcome to my new episode of
- 0:42Speaker 1: Cats and Pudding. And today I have a special guess, Nick,
- 0:46Speaker 1: and I'm going to say his name wrong. Scott scottld
- 0:48Speaker 1: Mitzari waits Aday, Salem Ben salom Man in the right way, salem.
- 0:53Speaker 3: Man beautiful and Nick is.
- 0:56Speaker 1: The number one Guidro. So I want to know why
- 1:00Speaker 1: Neck out of all the guidos that we that I
- 1:03Speaker 1: have come to know in my life, because where I
- 1:06Speaker 1: live is ground zero for the greedo everything else from
- 1:09Speaker 1: Howard Beach. There you go. That's ground zero. I don't
- 1:12Speaker 1: have a jersey. Sure this that that's the ground zero.
- 1:15Speaker 3: I got a lot of fans in Brooklyn.
- 1:17Speaker 1: There you go, so you know, So do I want
- 1:19Speaker 1: you to tell me why you feel that you are
- 1:21Speaker 1: the number one Guido?
- 1:23Speaker 3: Well, first things first, I'm one hundred percent Italian, not
- 1:27Speaker 3: like these fugazis you see all over the internet, these
- 1:30Speaker 3: you know, these rat bastards who think they're Italian. I'm
- 1:33Speaker 3: one hundred percent Italian. Also, you know, it's about it's
- 1:39Speaker 3: about looking good, dressing good, and feeling good. You know
- 1:42Speaker 3: what I mean? The girls love me. I keep the
- 1:48Speaker 3: tracksuits clean and and you know you and I.
- 1:52Speaker 1: Is a very sneakers are very white. I know true
- 1:55Speaker 1: Guiedo doesn't want to scuff mark on this. So I
- 1:58Speaker 1: know if if you got somebody's stepped on your foot
- 2:00Speaker 1: and it was messive you because wouldn't even clean them?
- 2:03Speaker 3: Right A brand I bought you just to come here down.
- 2:05Speaker 1: Say them and the Adidas sweat dude, that is like
- 2:10Speaker 1: that is like required to have that as a as
- 2:13Speaker 1: as Adidas.
- 2:15Speaker 3: You're you're right, but you know what one hundred percent
- 2:17Speaker 3: is required. But it's also who's under it? You know,
- 2:19Speaker 3: what I mean. Right, you could take the head off,
- 2:21Speaker 3: you could take the shades off, and you know, uh,
- 2:24Speaker 3: I woke up like this, you know what I mean.
- 2:26Speaker 3: It's just who I am at the end of the day.
- 2:28Speaker 3: I woke up like this.
- 2:29Speaker 1: So has my my wife a static? But were I'm from?
- 2:35Speaker 1: I'm from my wife central to so that that's where
- 2:38Speaker 1: we go. So what do I think as an Italian American?
- 2:41Speaker 1: I am true Italian? Hundred Sicilian Italian? Are you all?
- 2:45Speaker 3: Are you?
- 2:45Speaker 1: Where are you from? Which was your back? So?
- 2:47Speaker 3: My father's family is from Sicily. So it's a small
- 2:53Speaker 3: town in Messina called Lehman, a very small farming town.
- 2:57Speaker 3: So they came from very humble beginnings and my mother's
- 3:00Speaker 3: But so I got the best of all, got.
- 3:01Speaker 1: The best of both, cook you a good dinner and
- 3:04Speaker 1: breaking and breaking up.
- 3:06Speaker 3: I got the dark hair exactly exactly.
- 3:10Speaker 1: So tell me how this will started? You did you?
- 3:13Speaker 1: Did you start this whole? This your Instagram? Obviously it's
- 3:17Speaker 1: based around you know, the Guido Italian American type of thing,
- 3:20Speaker 1: which everybody loves because everyone wants to be Italian. I
- 3:23Speaker 1: know everybody wants to be everybody does. And I hate
- 3:26Speaker 1: the people who want to be Italian who are not Italian.
- 3:28Speaker 3: That's all.
- 3:29Speaker 1: I mean, some of it doesn't bother me. But I
- 3:31Speaker 1: hate when act is go and acts and they're totally
- 3:33Speaker 1: not Italian and they pretend that they are people the
- 3:36Speaker 1: wave right now they are they try to ride the wave.
- 3:40Speaker 3: You know, I've been I've been doing videos since I
- 3:42Speaker 3: was a kid, you know, always. You know, I think
- 3:45Speaker 3: that's appropriation.
- 3:46Speaker 1: We should get upset over that.
- 3:47Speaker 3: Yeah, exactly, Yeah, we don't. We don't get mad about.
- 3:50Speaker 1: Nobody gets back. You know, we should rise up and
- 3:52Speaker 1: be upset over that ship. I think so.
- 3:54Speaker 3: No, I agree.
- 3:56Speaker 1: I think just start a coalition exactly what I think
- 4:00Speaker 1: we should not our own family all coalition, and we
- 4:02Speaker 1: have to. We have to thought this and said say
- 4:04Speaker 1: that we're offended by that, you know, I mean, I
- 4:06Speaker 1: don't care. I know, I think it's I think it's
- 4:08Speaker 1: honorable when people do that for us. I think I
- 4:10Speaker 1: like it.
- 4:10Speaker 3: It's kind of like like they're paying homage, like they
- 4:14Speaker 3: like they're they're giving you a pat on the back.
- 4:16Speaker 3: Like that means they like it. They want to be
- 4:18Speaker 3: like you, they want to they want to emulate us.
- 4:21Speaker 1: That's but but I have to tell you though I do.
- 4:24Speaker 1: It's sometimes which which bothers me. Like I I'll give
- 4:28Speaker 1: you an example. It's of what when I used to work.
- 4:30Speaker 1: I when I was just a nurse. I worked on
- 4:34Speaker 1: a unit and I'll never I don't know what happened.
- 4:37Speaker 1: I think somebody, I think John Gotti passed away, and
- 4:39Speaker 1: they all know that I was from have a Beach,
- 4:42Speaker 1: and they will just like the way they were talking
- 4:43Speaker 1: about it was like and they would talk to me
- 4:45Speaker 1: like oh and like make fun of like the Italians,
- 4:48Speaker 1: and and I'm like, you know what I said, I said,
- 4:50Speaker 1: you know what if I was making fun of you
- 4:52Speaker 1: like that, I said, you would take that as such offense.
- 4:55Speaker 1: I said, But us, we just have to take it
- 4:57Speaker 1: as like it's no big deal and it's a joke.
- 4:58Speaker 1: You know what we're not all about like mafia and
- 5:02Speaker 1: Italy and Italians and our heritage caza. We have the
- 5:05Speaker 1: greatest warrior on the plumber that ever developed, the biggest empire, food,
- 5:11Speaker 1: art culture. We're not only all about that. And that's
- 5:14Speaker 1: offensive to me that they talk told you like that
- 5:17Speaker 1: you're dumb, and I that annoyed. That annoys me.
- 5:20Speaker 3: You know that the Italians were the biggest ethnic group
- 5:23Speaker 3: to fight in World War Two for America too. You know,
- 5:26Speaker 3: it's there's there's a lot, there's a lot of history
- 5:28Speaker 3: behind it.
- 5:29Speaker 1: There is, and and talk about it. You want to
- 5:31Speaker 1: talk about a hanging and they want to talk about
- 5:33Speaker 1: the slaves in the South when the when the Sicilians
- 5:36Speaker 1: came over, that was one of the biggest mass hangings
- 5:38Speaker 1: in the South. It was the fifty to sixty Sicilians
- 5:41Speaker 1: hung on one day. I mean, so, you know, it's
- 5:44Speaker 1: just to me, it's just that we don't get that
- 5:47Speaker 1: that that that that I don't just want to say respect,
- 5:51Speaker 1: but they people overlook that that that that we don't
- 5:55Speaker 1: we didn't that we don't with the same things happened
- 5:57Speaker 1: to us as other people.
- 5:58Speaker 3: You know, what I find is that people who are
- 6:01Speaker 3: real Italians from the neighborhood who we grew up with,
- 6:03Speaker 3: you know, in the Tri State area, there's a lot
- 6:05Speaker 3: of us. They love what I do. It's the people
- 6:08Speaker 3: who are an Italian who have a problem with it
- 6:11Speaker 3: or who find it offensive, you know, some of the
- 6:15Speaker 3: stuff that I do.
- 6:16Speaker 1: But you know, you know what, you're allowed to make
- 6:21Speaker 1: fun of yourself. And that's the other thing is We're
- 6:23Speaker 1: allowed to make fun of myself and on our own
- 6:25Speaker 1: heritage if we feel like our own BACKGA exactly because
- 6:28Speaker 1: it is fun.
- 6:29Speaker 3: I mean, it's.
- 6:29Speaker 1: Funny and it is it's great because we're very candid
- 6:32Speaker 1: people and we're very animated people.
- 6:34Speaker 3: I think, why come through? Because I'm authentic. I think
- 6:37Speaker 3: people see that I'm authentic, and you know, they're they're
- 6:40Speaker 3: drawn to it. And you know, at the end of
- 6:43Speaker 3: the day, you know you can only fake it for
- 6:44Speaker 3: so long, you know what I mean?
- 6:46Speaker 1: That's true, But you emulated very very well. It's hysterical.
- 6:50Speaker 1: What do you do stand up shows too?
- 6:52Speaker 3: So I haven't really gotten into stand up That is
- 6:55Speaker 3: something that I'm looking into, but not I haven't really
- 6:58Speaker 3: dove in yet. But one day when I go a
- 7:00Speaker 3: pair of balls, I.
- 7:02Speaker 1: Think you have the bulls. I know, I bet you
- 7:05Speaker 1: have big bulls. Not to be personal or anything like that.
- 7:09Speaker 1: Lit take me out to dinner first, it's a true
- 7:12Speaker 1: Italian There you.
- 7:13Speaker 3: Go, me and Jenna going out after this after.
- 7:17Speaker 1: We're gonna go to Rios after.
- 7:20Speaker 3: You know what, I love to take you out.
- 7:22Speaker 1: Oh that I would love to hook you up with
- 7:25Speaker 1: my daughter. That's what I would love to do. Yes,
- 7:28Speaker 1: I have some beautiful doors.
- 7:29Speaker 3: I don't want to.
- 7:29Speaker 1: I don't want to take you out. I want to
- 7:30Speaker 1: send you to college because you're for me.
- 7:33Speaker 3: All right?
- 7:35Speaker 1: How old are you?
- 7:35Speaker 3: Thirty two?
- 7:37Speaker 1: My daughter is thirty two, my oldest, but I have
- 7:39Speaker 1: I have two daughters that are younger ones that.
- 7:42Speaker 3: Well, you don't look at day past forty.
- 7:43Speaker 1: Oh my god, oh my god. He's being so flattering.
- 7:46Speaker 1: I love that. If I was your age, I would definitely.
- 7:49Speaker 3: Date you, but but not right now.
- 7:51Speaker 1: No, I feel like I was dating one of my kids.
- 7:54Speaker 1: You know, you know, come on, can't give me a chance.
- 7:57Speaker 1: I would love to, but I said I wish to me,
- 8:02Speaker 1: I'm not one of those I can't date with somebody
- 8:04Speaker 1: that much longer than me. Not because I don't find
- 8:07Speaker 1: ben your age attractive. Yes you are, but it's just
- 8:09Speaker 1: for me. It's just because I have kids that age.
- 8:11Speaker 1: To me, that's creepy. I feel like a pedophile. I'm sorry,
- 8:14Speaker 1: I would I do. I don't know what it is.
- 8:16Speaker 1: It's just like you know I have. That's just the
- 8:18Speaker 1: way I feel. I couldn't do that. I'm not saying
- 8:21Speaker 1: that that it's bad for other women or men to
- 8:24Speaker 1: do that. But I think it's creepy when somebody dates
- 8:26Speaker 1: somebody that you.
- 8:27Speaker 3: I don't know why. I just don't.
- 8:28Speaker 1: It's that's that's just the way I feel. It's some
- 8:30Speaker 1: people it's fine, but not for me. But I would.
- 8:34Speaker 1: I'm not insulting you. If you I would date you would.
- 8:39Speaker 3: Want No, I don't take it as insult. I gotta
- 8:42Speaker 3: try you.
- 8:44Speaker 1: I give you a naight for effort for sure. So
- 8:46Speaker 1: are you sorry? I guess you're not dating anybody right now?
- 8:50Speaker 1: Were you ever in a long relationship?
- 8:52Speaker 3: No? Not in a long time, not a long time.
- 8:55Speaker 3: I don't. I don't you know. I don't want to
- 8:56Speaker 3: do that.
- 8:57Speaker 1: How long you're not that old?
- 8:58Speaker 3: Would happen a couple of years. I don't want to
- 8:59Speaker 3: do that to the women out there, you know what
- 9:01Speaker 3: I mean. I got to keep myself, you know, you.
- 9:03Speaker 1: Got to keep yourself available. Say, if you date me,
- 9:06Speaker 1: you would you wouldn't be available then, because I don't.
- 9:08Speaker 1: I wouldn't take kindly to do take off the market.
- 9:14Speaker 1: Are you looking for love though? Or not? You're not
- 9:16Speaker 1: not at this point?
- 9:17Speaker 3: You know. The older I get, the I do realize
- 9:19Speaker 3: that I do want kids in the family. One day,
- 9:21Speaker 3: but I don't think it's in my my near future.
- 9:23Speaker 3: But I do want that. I do. I think everybody
- 9:25Speaker 3: wants that at the end of the day, you know.
- 9:26Speaker 1: I think all culture too. We like the big Italian family.
- 9:29Speaker 3: It's at the end of the day, that's what it's
- 9:31Speaker 3: all about.
- 9:32Speaker 1: And I know you're close to your family because you
- 9:34Speaker 1: with you to Bodyguard. I love him.
- 9:37Speaker 3: Yeah, God, bodyguard here with me.
- 9:39Speaker 1: So we're going to have him on the show with you.
- 9:42Speaker 3: You don't want to hear what he says.
- 9:43Speaker 1: I would love to hear it. I would love to totally.
- 9:46Speaker 3: Get We don't want to get it.
- 9:49Speaker 1: So tell me how this all started? Like how started?
- 9:52Speaker 3: So it's just so one of my buddies sent me
- 9:56Speaker 3: a video of some guy in l A calling a
- 9:59Speaker 3: bagel a bag Oh god. So he said, bro, you
- 10:03Speaker 3: got to react to this video. He said, I don't
- 10:04Speaker 3: know what's going on with this guy. You got to
- 10:05Speaker 3: react to it. So I just opened the phone one take,
- 10:09Speaker 3: reacted to it and it went viral. So then from
- 10:11Speaker 3: there we just kept going with the with the bagel stuff,
- 10:14Speaker 3: the you know, the respect stuff, things like that. My
- 10:19Speaker 3: my taglines respect the shmear I don't know if you ever,
- 10:21Speaker 3: so basically it means respect the amount of cream cheese
- 10:24Speaker 3: put on your bagel. You know, at the end of
- 10:27Speaker 3: the day, it's all about respect. You know. Nowadays nobody
- 10:29Speaker 3: got any respect for anybody, you know what I mean.
- 10:30Speaker 3: You got to respect yourself first, so you could respect
- 10:33Speaker 3: the smear and then respect everybody else.
- 10:35Speaker 1: Well, you know, in California, they don't have good water
- 10:37Speaker 1: like they do in New York, so they have shitty bagels.
- 10:39Speaker 1: Exactly respect those bagels anyway.
- 10:42Speaker 3: And the guy said the best baggles are in l
- 10:46Speaker 3: A in the video too, so that was I.
- 10:48Speaker 1: Had to get on then it looks like a piece
- 10:51Speaker 1: of bread, not even when you break it, it just
- 10:55Speaker 1: falls apart. Like in my Bullheaven, I broke upon a
- 10:58Speaker 1: pop all.
- 11:02Speaker 3: It was one of my favorite in the world.
- 11:06Speaker 1: It's funny because it's it's like when I hear people
- 11:09Speaker 1: say that too, and and they love my accent. Whenever
- 11:11Speaker 1: I meet somebody from another state, they love to hear
- 11:15Speaker 1: me talk. And our accent is like a dying accent
- 11:17Speaker 1: because everything is so gentrified now. Like even my kids,
- 11:21Speaker 1: like my older daughter talks like me, but my middle ones,
- 11:24Speaker 1: my middle one and my young one. They start they
- 11:25Speaker 1: start to talk more proper. And it's because you know,
- 11:28Speaker 1: it's gentrification of like the kids and they're speaking what
- 11:31Speaker 1: I mean, I saying that we don't speak proper, but
- 11:33Speaker 1: we have that accent. We don't talk about, we don't
- 11:36Speaker 1: say ours.
- 11:38Speaker 3: I didn't even realize I really had an accent until,
- 11:40Speaker 3: like you said, I went to I went to school
- 11:41Speaker 3: in Boston for a little bit, and people every time
- 11:43Speaker 3: I opened my.
- 11:44Speaker 1: Mouth there, somebody was telling me like they kind of
- 11:49Speaker 1: wanted me to say water dog dog chocolate. They were like,
- 11:55Speaker 1: they say chalk my chocolate.
- 11:57Speaker 3: They were like, I like, I remember but when they
- 12:00Speaker 3: first invented.
- 12:03Speaker 1: But but you know, it's funny what it depends on
- 12:05Speaker 1: who my Brooklyn. It comes out more with the certain
- 12:08Speaker 1: people I'm when I'm at work, it's like I try
- 12:11Speaker 1: to talk a little bit more proper, but it's like
- 12:14Speaker 1: I I can't help, but this is just the way
- 12:16Speaker 1: I speak.
- 12:17Speaker 3: That's how my mother is too. Like if she's talking
- 12:19Speaker 3: to like somebody who's Spanish and she's just little sounded
- 12:23Speaker 3: a little Spanish, but she's talking to somebody else'll change
- 12:25Speaker 3: your accent up a little bit.
- 12:26Speaker 1: Did your mother speak of time. Yes, and how many
- 12:31Speaker 1: brothers sisters?
- 12:32Speaker 3: I have one sister.
- 12:34Speaker 1: Oh, you must be very overprotective of the guys don't
- 12:38Speaker 1: want to come to the house that I still live home.
- 12:41Speaker 1: I'm just assuming you might.
- 12:43Speaker 3: My sister is the best. He's everything that's good in
- 12:44Speaker 3: the world. She's a great kid. I'm not going to
- 12:46Speaker 3: let none of these rats are near her.
- 12:48Speaker 1: And when those raps, my brother told me my brother,
- 12:52Speaker 1: my brother, one guy didn't made the mistake of beeping
- 12:55Speaker 1: in front of my house. Instead of ringing the doorbelly
- 12:57Speaker 1: wrapped them out of the window and pulled them up
- 12:59Speaker 1: on my still and smash his head against the door.
- 13:01Speaker 1: I said, that's what I'm talking about.
- 13:03Speaker 3: There's no respect kids to take your daughter out on
- 13:06Speaker 3: the at least come to that come in the house,
- 13:08Speaker 3: say hello, you know, introduce yourself and they enjoy it.
- 13:11Speaker 1: I don't like that. And it's funny because they're more
- 13:14Speaker 1: petrified to me than than my ex husband. It's funny
- 13:16Speaker 1: that the guys that come to the house for my
- 13:18Speaker 1: when they's to come to out for my for my kids,
- 13:20Speaker 1: or they come in now. Now I have the older
- 13:22Speaker 1: one is getting married. The other one is sort of
- 13:24Speaker 1: dating somebody. The younger one is, I don't know what
- 13:28Speaker 1: she's doing.
- 13:29Speaker 3: I'm trying to keep old school alive because all the
- 13:32Speaker 3: PC culture, you can't say anything. You can't you can't
- 13:35Speaker 3: joke about this, you can't joke about that. You can't
- 13:37Speaker 3: say this, you know what.
- 13:38Speaker 1: I don't care about that. I'm gonna say what I want. Yeah,
- 13:40Speaker 1: I don't care. I say how I feel. No, it's
- 13:42Speaker 1: not and you know, and if you have no sense
- 13:44Speaker 1: of humor, you can't laugh at people. Everybody gets so
- 13:46Speaker 1: offended over everything.
- 13:47Speaker 3: You know what people say, like if I'm sorry, go ahead,
- 13:49Speaker 3: what people say, Like in California, they act like they
- 13:53Speaker 3: like you, and then when you leave, they talk about you.
- 13:55Speaker 3: Here will tell you to your face, we don't like you.
- 13:58Speaker 3: You know what I mean, maybe we could work it.
- 14:00Speaker 3: I will talk you know what I mean. We're not
- 14:01Speaker 3: you know so, but that's real.
- 14:03Speaker 1: That's no. I don't like fake. But that's why people
- 14:06Speaker 1: in California they don't have like neighborhoods. Everybody's transient there.
- 14:10Speaker 1: You know, they know somebody maybe if they've been they've
- 14:12Speaker 1: lived there for like five years. And what kind of
- 14:14Speaker 1: relationship we're gonna have with somebody after like two years
- 14:16Speaker 1: like that, that's like, oh, she's my best friend. How
- 14:19Speaker 1: do you know she's best friend after two years? You
- 14:21Speaker 1: don't really know the person. You know, we you grew
- 14:24Speaker 1: up with. I'm sure you're friends with the same people
- 14:26Speaker 1: that you grew up with a long time.
- 14:27Speaker 3: Right, you can't change who your grew up no matter
