- 1:37Speaker 2: excited for what's to come over in the next few weeks.
- 1:40Speaker 2: But how are you doing? First of all, all I'm great.
- 1:43Speaker 3: Mick devided to be back in the podcast if heels
- 1:45Speaker 3: like forever since we were last here talking Steeters football
- 1:49Speaker 3: with yourself, you say ten days there. I still can't
- 1:52Speaker 3: believe that it's almost here. It's going to be an
- 1:55Speaker 3: absolutely magical you know, a couple of days in the
- 1:58Speaker 3: city center, seeing all the Steers fans coming coming across
- 2:02Speaker 3: for the game, and also welcoming the wider European and
- 2:06Speaker 3: international NFL community to Dublin. So really really looking forward
- 2:11Speaker 3: to it. It's going to be an absolute blast. And yeah,
- 2:15Speaker 3: we're gonna have a game in our hands and Crow
- 2:16Speaker 3: Park against the Vikings, that's for sure.
- 2:19Speaker 2: I can't wait to talk about that. At a different
- 2:20Speaker 2: spot that I asked, I asked the of this obviously Heimateuruman,
- 2:24Speaker 2: like lifelong Steaders fan, you live and you're from quite
- 2:27Speaker 2: close to new what does the prospect and I know
- 2:31Speaker 2: we've got weekly coming up before we talk about that,
- 2:33Speaker 2: what does the prospect of next week mean to you
- 2:36Speaker 2: as a fan outside of all the hoopla?
- 2:37Speaker 3: And it's lucky, It's just it's it's kind of a culmination,
- 2:42Speaker 3: mick of I suppose NFL fandom in Ireland have to
- 2:47Speaker 3: get our very own game here. And it's somebody who's
- 2:50Speaker 3: been watching the game for our god knows how long
- 2:52Speaker 3: at this stage, and so I was since I was
- 2:54Speaker 3: a teenager. It's it's gonna be a very very special
- 2:56Speaker 3: moment when the Seders touchdown in Ireland. And I just
- 2:59Speaker 3: I've been dreaming about this day since I was a
- 3:02Speaker 3: young fan and walking out into the field under the
- 3:05Speaker 3: sideline crow Park. It's just going to be incredibly special.
- 3:08Speaker 3: So I don't know how many more ways I can
- 3:12Speaker 3: say how special it's going to be, like, it's just.
- 3:14Speaker 2: Going to be.
- 3:15Speaker 3: I think, and I think I speak for a lot
- 3:17Speaker 3: of a lot of NFL fans in Ireland, another majority
- 3:20Speaker 3: of NFL fans in Ireland when I say that, it's
- 3:23Speaker 3: just it's something we've all been waited for. It something
- 3:25Speaker 3: we've all been looking forward to, even now for so long.
- 3:28Speaker 3: So when it does arrive, hopefully we'll be able to
- 3:32Speaker 3: just relish it and cherish it and it'll be a
- 3:35Speaker 3: lasting memory that we all have for the rest of
- 3:38Speaker 3: our lives.
- 3:39Speaker 2: Bengal, you couldn't said that any better month. If we
- 3:42Speaker 2: look back in week two, me and the were very
- 3:46Speaker 2: optimistic last week in the podcast and when it came
- 3:48Speaker 2: to it, when it came down to it, obviously, look,
- 3:50Speaker 2: you can win, you can lose, you can tie. In
- 3:52Speaker 2: week two, obviously a thirty one and seventeen loss in
- 3:55Speaker 2: the home opener Lacacheur against against Seattle. Jimmy, you never
- 4:00Speaker 2: want to lose a game, especially when it's so early
- 4:02Speaker 2: into the season. What was your sort of thoughts on it,
- 4:05Speaker 2: because for me, it was certainly like you know, definitely
- 4:08Speaker 2: when in feeling very positive about it, and it did
- 4:11Speaker 2: seem to sort of go away towards that, you know,
- 4:13Speaker 2: at the end of the third, start of the fourth,
- 4:15Speaker 2: and it looked already at that point like it was
- 4:17Speaker 2: one of those games where it just wasn't going to happen,
- 4:19Speaker 2: especially when it went to twenty four to fourteen. I
- 4:22Speaker 2: guess in one sense, obviously, Look, you can't hide away
- 4:24Speaker 2: from the fact that there's disappointment there. Of course I
- 4:26Speaker 2: feel that as well. But I think for any team,
- 4:30Speaker 2: whether you're two and oho right now, I row on two.
- 4:32Speaker 2: It's the start of the season. It's going to take time.
- 4:33Speaker 2: That Jaley got a new quarterback. But obviously you want
- 4:36Speaker 2: to come back to that very very quickly. What was
- 4:39Speaker 2: your faults on the game?
- 4:41Speaker 3: Well, I think, Michael, you know, we had a great
- 4:44Speaker 3: win against the Jets in New Jersey in Week one.
- 4:47Speaker 3: I mean, a fantastic battle, two quarterbacks going at two.
- 4:51Speaker 3: You know, good teams going at it, and obviously it
- 4:55Speaker 3: wasn't perfect. You know, a lot of things that needed
- 4:57Speaker 3: to be cleaned up, which I had hoped anticipated we
- 5:00Speaker 3: would have done for the home opener against Seattle. So
- 5:04Speaker 3: there was definitely a feeling of positively in my side
- 5:07Speaker 3: going into that game. You know, Aaron Rodgers, you know,
- 5:11Speaker 3: showed he was reeling back the years in the game
- 5:14Speaker 3: against the Jets. So the offense showing a lot of
- 5:17Speaker 3: potential defense, you know, a few things to clean up.
- 5:20Speaker 3: So to suffer that loss against Seattle was quite disappointing,
- 5:24Speaker 3: but look, it is early days in the season. We're
- 5:25Speaker 3: one on one now. I think some of the things
- 5:28Speaker 3: that that jumped out of me, you know that that
- 5:31Speaker 3: our top priority used to be fixed as soon as possible,
- 5:35Speaker 3: our first and foremost pass protection. Aaron Rodgers obviously has
- 5:38Speaker 3: a great arm. You know, he's he's a surefire Hall
- 5:41Speaker 3: of Fame quarterback, but he's not as mobile as he
- 5:44Speaker 3: once was. And while he was able to evade pressure
- 5:47Speaker 3: when it mattered against the Seahawks, he still took four sacks.
- 5:51Speaker 3: That's eight sacks now in two games, which is just
- 5:53Speaker 3: not good enough when you're when you're trying to orchestra
- 5:56Speaker 3: a new offense and get you know, fitted into a
- 5:58Speaker 3: new offense, So offensive line definitely needs to play better,
- 6:02Speaker 3: and then run defense as well. I mean, the Steelers
- 6:05Speaker 3: proude themselves on smash meouw football stopping the run, stuff
- 6:08Speaker 3: in the run, and I know TJ. Watt came out
- 6:10Speaker 3: after the game and said, we have you know, the
- 6:12Speaker 3: defense had to be better stopping the run. There was
- 6:16Speaker 3: one point where kena Walker just dancing into the end
- 6:18Speaker 3: zone in the fourth quarter, and I suppose struck a
- 6:21Speaker 3: dagger into the hearts of any comeback attempts. So those
- 6:25Speaker 3: are the glaring I think priorities that need to be
- 6:28Speaker 3: addressed going into this game against the pat against the Patriots,
- 6:32Speaker 3: and then look, Caleb Johnson, We're not going to dwell
- 6:34Speaker 3: on that incident too much, but I think that but we.
- 6:36Speaker 2: Can't ignore it either, Like we can't ignore it, can we?
- 6:39Speaker 2: Like I mean I fell for the guy, you know,
- 6:41Speaker 2: especially in the home opener as well, but you know
- 6:43Speaker 2: I felt for Yeah.
- 6:44Speaker 3: I mean, it looks it's you can kind of give
- 6:48Speaker 3: him some sort of some sort of benefit of the doubt,
- 6:51Speaker 3: but again, he can't have mistakes like that in the NFL.
- 6:55Speaker 3: And that really did kind of scupper I think that
- 6:57Speaker 3: was the beginning of the end for US against the Seahawks.
- 7:00Speaker 3: The Seahawks got a massive momentum swing. Obviously the air
- 7:03Speaker 3: went out of the crowd. They're and acroture, so look
- 7:07Speaker 3: a lot to clean up. But again there are I
- 7:09Speaker 3: mean there was, there's plenty of right spots as well.
- 7:13Speaker 3: You know, our backup linebackers played incredibly well. Nick Kerbick
- 7:15Speaker 3: had his first career interception. Jack Sawyer had his first
- 7:18Speaker 3: career sack as a rookie. I mean, so definitely lots
- 7:22Speaker 3: to be optimistic about. But I would give I would
- 7:26Speaker 3: give us honestly, I've had to give a letter grade
- 7:27Speaker 3: or would give this steeers a C minus right now
- 7:29Speaker 3: and had the season has started, So if you can
- 7:31Speaker 3: bring it up to a B against the Patriots, I'll
- 7:34Speaker 3: be much happier.
- 7:36Speaker 2: We'll definitely take it for people listening as well. And
- 7:38Speaker 2: just in terms of what Jimmy said with Jack Sawyer
- 7:40Speaker 2: at College Football National Champion with Ohio State last week
- 7:43Speaker 2: there against the Sea, six tackles for solo, two tackles
- 7:46Speaker 2: for lost, one sack. That was one guy that we
- 7:48Speaker 2: talked about Jimmy on a group chat. Just so we're
- 7:51Speaker 2: talking about sort of some of the positives from the game,
- 7:53Speaker 2: I felt like, not strange, but I guess now whenever
- 7:57Speaker 2: you don't have the luxury of having some sort of
- 7:59Speaker 2: preseason snaps, and it's one of the things we talked
- 8:01Speaker 2: about one in the week one as well. You know,
- 8:02Speaker 2: you don't know how this offense is gonna work, so yeah,
- 8:04Speaker 2: it does take time to gel. Obviously, as I said,
- 8:07Speaker 2: Sawyer a big, big spot on this team, and I'd like,
- 8:12Speaker 2: I'm not saying he's an elite player, but certainly was
- 8:14Speaker 2: very very you know, he performed very well against the
- 8:17Speaker 2: actually like sort of go completely agree with in terms
- 8:20Speaker 2: of her big fantastic to see and it's almost madd
- 8:22Speaker 2: you sort of expect him to have got that before,
- 8:24Speaker 2: but to see his first one, especially at home, is great. Look,
- 8:28Speaker 2: we're we're gonna talk about it obviously on the over
- 8:30Speaker 2: end of hearing from coach Tomlin here before we look
- 8:32Speaker 2: ahead of this Patriots game, Jimmy, But for me, like,
- 8:36Speaker 2: did you not find that as an NFL fan, did
- 8:38Speaker 2: you not find it absolutely crazy that Aron Rodgers was
- 8:40Speaker 2: under center? And look, regardless of a result, if looking
- 8:44Speaker 2: at the whole season over eighteen weeks, he looks still
- 8:47Speaker 2: very mobile. He's got a lot of speed for a
- 8:48Speaker 2: guy in his forties. Definitely promising there if we can
- 8:51Speaker 2: get those things together.
- 8:52Speaker 3: Now, yeah, absolutely. I mean he was even the commentary
- 8:56Speaker 3: team on for the game, we're saying how he was
- 8:59Speaker 3: rolling back the years and showing flashes of his old self.
- 9:02Speaker 3: So it was great to see. I mean, I still
- 9:04Speaker 3: haven't gotten used to see the seeing Aaron Rodgers wearing
- 9:07Speaker 3: the black and goal. To be perfectly honest with you,
- 9:09Speaker 3: hopefully by the time that Dublin game comes around, we'll
- 9:12Speaker 3: have out of adjusted to having Aaron Rodgers as the
- 9:14Speaker 3: Steelers quarterback. But he definitely brings potential to the offense,
- 9:20Speaker 3: especially with the addition of a weapon like DK Metcalf,
- 9:22Speaker 3: who you know we saw got his first his first
- 9:25Speaker 3: career touchdown as a member of the Pittsburgh Steelers. I
- 9:28Speaker 3: would definitely like to see DK stretch the field a
- 9:31Speaker 3: lot more. I think that's where he was. He was
- 9:33Speaker 3: brought in to be a deep threat, to be our
- 9:34Speaker 3: number one wide receiver and to give us, you know,
- 9:37Speaker 3: that that kind of that act, that that that weapon
- 9:39Speaker 3: that he that he provides as a receiver. So but
- 9:42Speaker 3: I think in order for that relationship between Aaron Rodgers
- 9:46Speaker 3: and DK to Gel Rogers is going to need a
- 9:49Speaker 3: lot more time in the pockets. So again, lots to
- 9:52Speaker 3: be positive about, but definitely lots to improve. But yeah, look, look,
- 9:57Speaker 3: you have your future Hall of Famer with the resume
- 10:00Speaker 3: Aaron Rodgers has as your signal caller under center. You
- 10:03Speaker 3: have to like our chances for the rest of the season.
- 10:07Speaker 2: I couldn't agree more. Let's look ahead at this pictures game.
- 10:10Speaker 2: You give our picks, give our keys, and give our thoughts.
- 10:13Speaker 2: After hearing from coach Tomlin's weekly press conference ahead of
- 10:15Speaker 2: this big week for the game on the road to New.
- 10:18Speaker 4: England, certainly there's some things, you know. I often say
- 10:24Speaker 4: two is a pattern, and we've got two games under
- 10:27Speaker 4: our belt, and so I see some things that certainly
- 10:30Speaker 4: need our attention, and so I'm excited about getting to work.
- 10:33Speaker 4: As far as the game and how it unfolded, it
- 10:36Speaker 4: was less than stellar in a lot of areas, but
- 10:38Speaker 4: we certainly had an opportunity to win until the deep
- 10:42Speaker 4: pump moments of the game, and certainly I thought it
- 10:45Speaker 4: was some significant plays that really shaped how that game
- 10:48Speaker 4: unfolded down the stretch offensively after that big play to Jalen.
- 10:53Speaker 4: We turned the ball over in the tight red. We
- 10:56Speaker 4: spent a lot of time working in the tight red
- 10:58Speaker 4: as an offensive unit because we realize how significant that
- 11:02Speaker 4: space is in terms of determining unit performance and thus
- 11:05Speaker 4: the outcome of games. We oftentimes talk about it searching
- 11:09Speaker 4: for the four point swing. We don't want to settle
- 11:11Speaker 4: for field goals as an offense. We certainly want to
- 11:14Speaker 4: make our opponents settle for field goals as a defense
- 11:16Speaker 4: in that space. But as you know, we turned the
- 11:20Speaker 4: ball over, and I thought that was really significant in
- 11:24Speaker 4: terms of how the game unfolded. You know, on a
- 11:26Speaker 4: special team, certainly the lack of judgment by a young
- 11:30Speaker 4: return man was a significant play in the game. Is
- 11:32Speaker 4: as I mentioned after the game, a lot of times, man,
- 11:35Speaker 4: when you're in close ball games, particularly early in the year,
- 11:38Speaker 4: there's a play in that space, in that special team
- 11:40Speaker 4: space that often shapes or turns a game. It helped
- 11:46Speaker 4: us in a positive way with the play by Kenny
- 11:49Speaker 4: Gamewell with the Jets, and certainly the game the other day,
- 11:53Speaker 4: it was a never negative outcome. I thought our defense
- 11:57Speaker 4: wore down some, particularly as the game went on. We
- 12:00Speaker 4: had to desire to improve our run defense, and I thought,
- 12:02Speaker 4: particularly initially we did, but as an attrition component to
- 12:07Speaker 4: the game, and our lives got a little thin at
- 12:09Speaker 4: various points in the game. I thought we felt the
- 12:11Speaker 4: effects of that. I know certainly we were somewhat limited
- 12:15Speaker 4: with some of the schematics that we would like to
- 12:18Speaker 4: deploy because we had some new people in there, and
- 12:21Speaker 4: we're relatively new to this season, and so we weren't
- 12:25Speaker 4: as good as I'd like for us to be in
- 12:27Speaker 4: terms of our midstream adjusting in terms of some of
- 12:30Speaker 4: those things. And so I'm excited about getting a collective
- 12:32Speaker 4: back to work here with a six day preparation cycle
- 12:36Speaker 4: and an effort to address some of those things.
- 12:41Speaker 2: Good to hear from coach tomat on the Irishoaters podcast
- 12:43Speaker 2: presented by Erlingus. And obviously a lot of TV stuff
- 12:46Speaker 2: going on. It was nice this week that the Steelers
- 12:48Speaker 2: Vikings gave in Week four will be on Virgin Media
- 12:50Speaker 2: one for fans across that in the Ireland. Obviously you
- 12:53Speaker 2: can watch that game next weekend on Channel five even
- 12:56Speaker 2: Northern Ireland on across the Sky Sports NFL as well,
- 12:58Speaker 2: but for fans this weekend, Steelers Patriots a key Week
- 13:01Speaker 2: three game. Now steae are sitting one on one on
- 13:03Speaker 2: the season after two weeks. Jimmy, this game is going
- 13:05Speaker 2: to be on sky Sports this weekend at six o'clock.
- 13:09Speaker 2: I believe part nfl UK it's going to be on
- 13:11Speaker 2: the sky Sports Football channel, so a little different football
- 13:14Speaker 2: for those people in that channel this week. Did you
- 13:16Speaker 2: get a chance to catch much of the Patriots Dolphins
- 13:19Speaker 2: game of Week two because I actually watched that on
- 13:21Speaker 2: one of the Channel five broadcast Jimmian. For me, it
- 13:23Speaker 2: was two different elements. We knew going into that game
- 13:28Speaker 2: that the Patriots will be that team famously in September
- 13:31Speaker 2: where they have to stand in the sunlight when Miami
- 13:34Speaker 2: are covered and Lads Florida is no joke heath wise.
- 13:38Speaker 2: I know the Staateers had a very warm time and
- 13:39Speaker 2: when the Pittsburgh in the preseason, but the Patriots really
- 13:44Speaker 2: had a good way out in that game for a
- 13:45Speaker 2: long time. But the Dolphins, Jimmy came back and came
- 13:48Speaker 2: back and came back and nearly took that game. That
- 13:51Speaker 2: being said, we're going up against team this weekend that's
- 13:53Speaker 2: put thirty three points on the board, albeit against the
- 13:56Speaker 2: struggle in Miami Dolphins team, but on the road in
- 13:58Speaker 2: their division, certainly not a team to toy with as
- 14:02Speaker 2: we go in the Week three and really frankly needing
- 14:04Speaker 2: the win to get the two and one to get
- 14:06Speaker 2: that playing in Dublin. What's your thoughts ahead of this game?
- 14:09Speaker 3: Nick, I didn't actually realize how many weapons the Patriots have.
- 14:13Speaker 3: I mean, you're looking at Trevion Henderson. You know, he's
- 14:16Speaker 3: just such a dynamic running back as and he really
- 14:19Speaker 3: flashedding that game against the dophense as a rookie. He's
- 14:22Speaker 3: got speed, he's got you know, vision, he's and the
- 14:25Speaker 3: way that the Steelers have kind of allowed the run
- 14:27Speaker 3: game to build them them in the past couple of games.
- 14:30Speaker 3: We're gonna have to shoot him down and shut him
- 14:32Speaker 3: down fast along with Ramandre Stevenson. So run defense, you know,
- 14:36Speaker 3: look you can kind of that kind of is negated
- 14:38Speaker 3: by some of the injuries we've had to our defensive starters.
- 14:42Speaker 3: You know, Patrick Queen went down against the Seahawks. Alex
- 14:45Speaker 3: Heismith is out for a few weeks or of high
- 14:48Speaker 3: ankle sprain, and so gaps are gonna have to be
- 14:51Speaker 3: filled on defense there to stop the run. Cam Hayward.
- 14:55Speaker 3: I mean, he's just got missed in the past couple
- 14:56Speaker 3: of games in the middle of that defensive line, as
- 15:00Speaker 3: are some of our big run stoppers. So we need
- 15:03Speaker 3: we need to we need to pull the medical metaphorical
- 15:06Speaker 3: finger out and hopefully coach Tomlin has you know, got
- 15:09Speaker 3: in there and lit a fire under them in practice
- 15:11Speaker 3: this week, because you know, as I said earlier, for
- 15:14Speaker 3: a team that prides himself as run stoppers and as
- 15:16Speaker 3: you know, as a ferocious defense, they have been noticeably
- 15:20Speaker 3: absent in the past couple of weeks. You have also
- 15:23Speaker 3: had the likes of Matt Collins, who played for the
- 15:25Speaker 3: Bills previously. He's a he's a great wide receiver. So
- 15:29Speaker 3: I'm Stefan Diggs, who mightn't be in his prime anymore,
- 15:32Speaker 3: but it's still instead a threat. And so again we're
- 15:35Speaker 3: gonna have our hands full, you know, with pass defense
- 15:38Speaker 3: as well. And again some injuries to the likes of
- 15:41Speaker 3: Joey Porter and Deshaun Elliotts, so hopefully they can get
- 15:43Speaker 3: healthy and come back. So defense is gonna have to
- 15:46Speaker 3: just gonna have to magically reappear against the Patriots on
- 15:49Speaker 3: Sunday afternoon. Sunday Evening offense. You know, again I said
- 15:53Speaker 3: earlier past protection is absolutely key here. We have to
- 15:56Speaker 3: give Rogers enough time to find his receivers downfield. Gen
- 16:00Speaker 3: Larren has been great in the passing game the past
- 16:03Speaker 3: couple of weeks. I'd like to see our run game
- 16:05Speaker 3: get a few more yards. He is obviously there our
- 16:07Speaker 3: number one running back now our future back, and he
- 16:10Speaker 3: look he's greater running between the tackles. He has an
- 16:14Speaker 3: additional burst, he has the strength. So I think our
- 16:17Speaker 3: offensive line has two jobs to do this weekend against
- 16:20Speaker 3: the Patriots, first and foremost keeping Aaron Rodgers upright and
- 16:24Speaker 3: off the ground, but also making coals for Jalen Larreen
- 16:27Speaker 3: to rack up some yards. So there's definitely work to
- 16:30Speaker 3: be done on both sides of the ball, and hopefully
- 16:33Speaker 3: we won't be relying too often on the boot of
- 16:36Speaker 3: of Boswell.
- 16:38Speaker 2: I think you've sort of put it there very very
- 16:41Speaker 2: well in terms of everything covered with the bass with
- 16:44Speaker 2: offense and defense. For me, certainly, it's like an edition
- 16:46Speaker 2: of Madden twenty two. For anybody that's deep in their
- 16:48Speaker 2: NFL fantasy leagues right now. You know, guys like Austin
- 16:51Speaker 2: Hooper guys like as you mentioned, Stephan Diggs not forgetting
- 16:55Speaker 2: as well Hunter Henry, a guy that Drake May relied
- 16:57Speaker 2: on so much last year. So it's one of those
- 17:00Speaker 2: things like I think it's important to say the people
- 17:03Speaker 2: that are listening and maybe as well people and you're very,
- 17:05Speaker 2: very welcome if you are, if you're getting into this
- 17:07Speaker 2: over the next few weeks. Because of the game coming
- 17:08Speaker 2: to Dublin, this is not going to be an easy test.
- 17:10Speaker 2: We know that New England have obviously a new head
- 17:12Speaker 2: coach and Vabel obviously a legend around those parts. They're
- 17:16Speaker 2: going to obviously want to win this game and they're
- 17:17Speaker 2: gonna want to put a statement down against an Aaron
- 17:19Speaker 2: Rodgers led offense. And I look at how to even
- 17:24Speaker 2: though he struggled at times last week, if I think
- 17:26Speaker 2: you have an interception against the Patriots as well, he
- 17:28Speaker 2: still was able. He had a pretty good completion average
- 17:32Speaker 2: just in terms of percentages, but still was able to
- 17:34Speaker 2: get three hundred and fifteen yards in the day. And
- 17:36Speaker 2: I guess if we start off Jimmy with our keys
- 17:39Speaker 2: to the game here each before we make our game picks,
- 17:41Speaker 2: like it's obviously going to be a bit stopping Drake May.
- 17:44Speaker 2: But if we can see over two games that there
- 17:47Speaker 2: are teams there that can get you know, yards, get
- 17:49Speaker 2: points up against the Patriots, this is going to be
- 17:51Speaker 2: a game where we have to not just rely on
- 17:53Speaker 2: the run, but we have to see an enhanced version
- 17:55Speaker 2: or a more comfortable version. I guess than Week two
- 17:58Speaker 2: of Aaron Rodgers were those third down passes, those second
- 18:02Speaker 2: and short yard of situations where they weren't maybe followed
- 18:05Speaker 2: through last week, and ater sure they're followed through this
- 18:07Speaker 2: week because we both know what happens if Drake May
- 18:10Speaker 2: gets off to a good start, if that count tossco
- 18:12Speaker 2: goes their way, it could be one that you're fighting
- 18:14Speaker 2: back from from the start. Is there any key to
- 18:16Speaker 2: the game that stands out for you? And if I
- 18:19Speaker 2: say twenty four to seventeen to Pittsburgh and a two
- 18:23Speaker 2: and one record getting on that Erlinka's flight to Dublin,
- 18:26Speaker 2: what's your game pick in that way?
- 18:28Speaker 3: Yeah, I would definitely take that makeup, I would take
- 18:31Speaker 3: the win at this stage. I think for me, you
- 18:34Speaker 3: mentioned Drake May there and preventing him from getting after
- 18:36Speaker 3: how start, pass rush has been obviously quite absent as well.
- 18:42Speaker 3: You know, the past couple of weeks, I think we've
- 18:43Speaker 3: only think we might only have three sacks across two games.
- 18:47Speaker 3: I'm not entirely sure about that, but TJ. Wat is
- 18:49Speaker 3: going to have to put this defense on his back.
- 18:52Speaker 3: You know, he's the second second highest paid nine quarterback
- 18:55Speaker 3: in the league. He got that massive deal for a reason.
- 18:57Speaker 3: He has a reputation as a game wrecker, and he
- 19:00Speaker 3: hasn't really wrecked any games over the past couple of weeks.
- 19:02Speaker 3: So I would like to see him get more pressure
- 19:05Speaker 3: on Drake, may throw him off his rhythm, prevent him
- 19:09Speaker 3: from selling his feet, and prevent him from, you know,
- 19:12Speaker 3: stopping from making us being able to make those big
- 19:14Speaker 3: plays down the field. So pass rush is going to
- 19:18Speaker 3: be the key to the game here, and I think
- 19:20Speaker 3: just playing the stake free football mental errors cost us
- 19:23Speaker 3: against the Seahawks. Calvin Austin obviously had a drop in
- 19:27Speaker 3: the end zone the resulted in a Seahawks interception last
- 19:30Speaker 3: week in Acroshure. So just things like that, playing steak
- 19:33Speaker 3: free football is going to be absolutely crucial to this one.
- 19:38Speaker 2: Aaron Rodgers has only played against the Patriots in the
- 19:41Speaker 2: regular season six times, and I fully agree with what
- 19:43Speaker 2: you're saying with Calvin Austin as well and trying to
- 19:45Speaker 2: utilize him. He has a very important year ahead as
- 19:47Speaker 2: we all know. Contractionly wise, did you give again pick?
- 19:50Speaker 2: Do you want to give a score before we go?
- 19:53Speaker 3: I'm gonna go with the Steelers just about winning this
- 19:56Speaker 3: one and I'm gonna go Pittsburgh Steelters twenty one, New
- 20:00Speaker 3: England Patriots fourteen.
- 20:04Speaker 2: I love it. Just to let people know that this
- 20:06Speaker 2: game is only on Sky Sports this weekend. It is
- 20:08Speaker 2: not on NFL Game Passed on the Zone. If you're
- 20:11Speaker 2: in Ireland or in the UK, you can listen to
- 20:12Speaker 2: the game as well on OTB Sports Radio. Jimmy, we
- 20:15Speaker 2: will see you at some stage next week in Dublin
- 20:18Speaker 2: and you're gonna be very very excited. Hopefully we see
- 20:20Speaker 2: and hopefully you see a lot of people listening to
- 20:22Speaker 2: this podcast with a two to one record and folks
- 20:25Speaker 2: wh use a hashtag Steers Ireland to get involved, especially
- 20:27Speaker 2: over the next week. But for now, here we go.
- 20:29Speaker 2: Thanks millionaire for your time.
