- 0:24Speaker 3: It is a Monday week.
- 0:25Speaker 2: Why? I just, I don't know.
- 0:27Speaker 4: And just keep a lookout for the weather this weekend, too. Like,
- 0:30Speaker 4: we got a tropical storm brewing.
- 0:32Speaker 2: It's supposed to hit the coast, the Gulf Coast, at midnight,
- 0:35Speaker 2: around midnight tonight. It's, well, it's a hurricane now.
- 0:38Speaker 3: Yeah, it's Tropical Storm Hurricane.
- 0:40Speaker 4: Yep.
- 0:40Speaker 2: So just be weather aware this weekend.
- 0:43Speaker 1: Be good.
- 0:44Speaker 2: Go home.

- 0:55Speaker 2: Anyway, good morning.
- 0:56Speaker 4: Thank you for being here on the way. What the
- 0:57Speaker 4: Hell Headlines, 650 and 850. Crazy things people are doing
- 1:01Speaker 4: in the news. What's awesome if you have good news.
- 1:04Speaker 4: We always love to hear that. That could win you
- 1:06Speaker 4: a gift certificate to rock and roll sushi. We do
- 1:09Speaker 4: that at 740, but call anytime. 833-501-BAMA is the number.
- 1:13Speaker 2: Good morning. Stop.
- 1:15Speaker 1: It's What the Hell Headlines.
- 1:17Speaker 2: What the hell are you talking about?
- 1:18Speaker 1: On the Alabama show.
- 1:21Speaker 2: A person stuffed 10 live birds down their pants at
- 1:24Speaker 2: an airport.
- 1:27Speaker 3: It doesn't sound like they were happy to see them either.
- 1:29Speaker 2: No, stop. And it was not me.
- 1:31Speaker 1: A U.S.
- 1:32Speaker 4: Citizen was stopped at Miami Airport on Sunday after officers
- 1:35Speaker 4: noticed he had an unexplainable bulge at his waist. Turns
- 1:40Speaker 4: out he had 10 live birds tucked in his underwear.
- 1:43Speaker 2: He was charged with smuggling. Listen to this.
- 1:46Speaker 1: That's pretty weird. It's terrible for the birds. Looks like
- 1:49Speaker 1: drugs or a weapon. Oh, wow.
- 1:51Speaker 4: Birds.
- 1:52Speaker 1: Birds.
- 1:52Speaker 4: Ha ha!
- 1:54Speaker 1: What the hell? Super Easy Trivia with The Alabama Show.
- 1:59Speaker 2: Today, Producer Blake, you're playing Super Easy Trivia.
- 2:02Speaker 3: Let's do it.
- 2:03Speaker 2: I'm ready. It's going to be good today.
- 2:05Speaker 3: Okay, let's try it out.
- 2:06Speaker 2: I'm just pre-warning you. Question number one.
- 2:08Speaker 3: Okay.
- 2:09Speaker 4: What part of a plant usually grows underground and absorbs
- 2:13Speaker 4: water from the dirt?
- 2:15Speaker 3: That would be the root.
- 2:17Speaker 2: That would be the root.
- 2:18Speaker 1: Yes, yes. Come on.
- 2:20Speaker 2: What organ in your chest... pumps blood throughout the rest
- 2:25Speaker 2: of your body.
- 2:26Speaker 3: The heart.
- 2:28Speaker 2: That would be your heart. Some of us don't have one.
- 2:31Speaker 2: Some of us do.
- 2:31Speaker 3: Not in this studio.
- 2:33Speaker 5: Next.
- 2:33Speaker 2: We all have a heart here. Last one for the win.
- 2:35Speaker 4: Producer Blake, what reptile changes the color of its skin
- 2:38Speaker 4: to blend in with its surrounding?
- 2:41Speaker 3: Ooh, the chameleon. Good job.
- 2:54Speaker 2: Congratulations, you just passed first grade trivia.
- 2:57Speaker 3: That's what I love to do.
- 2:59Speaker 1: It's three things you need to know with the Alabama Show.
- 3:03Speaker 2: Hurricane Isaias is expected to make landfall tonight after 7 p.m.
- 3:08Speaker 2: near Pensacola, Florida.
- 3:09Speaker 4: So the peak wind impacts for central Alabama will be
- 3:14Speaker 4: between 2 a.m.
- 3:15Speaker 2: And 9 a.m. overnight.
- 3:17Speaker 4: So wind gusts up to 40 to 50 miles per
- 3:19Speaker 4: hour are possible. A threat of isolated tornadoes. So you
- 3:23Speaker 4: really want to keep a lookout. Tonight with the tornado
- 3:26Speaker 4: and the wind gusts, the wind gusts could knock down
- 3:28Speaker 4: some trees in your yard. The Starbucks Barista Cup is
- 3:32Speaker 4: making a comeback. This was a big hit last year.
- 3:34Speaker 4: It was the cup that was shaped like a teddy
- 3:36Speaker 4: bear that was a glass cup that sold out fast
- 3:38Speaker 4: and then people started reselling it on eBay.
- 3:40Speaker 2: Now it's going to get the full treatment.
- 3:42Speaker 4: They're going to have the barista tumblers, mugs, and a keychain.
- 3:46Speaker 4: And they're coming out with festive Christmas tree-shaped cold cups
- 3:49Speaker 4: and then a holiday village collection. All kinds of all
- 3:52Speaker 4: the winter stuff from Starbucks is coming out November 5th.
- 3:56Speaker 4: Dolly Parton's Hollywood home is going up for sale.
- 4:00Speaker 3: Already?
- 4:00Speaker 2: That's crazy. She didn't live in it. She hasn't lived
- 4:03Speaker 2: in it since 1990.
- 4:04Speaker 4: It's going on the market for $ 7. 95 million.
- 4:08Speaker 2: Yeah, easy.
- 4:09Speaker 4: It's a four bedroom, six bathroom home, which she and
- 4:12Speaker 4: her late husband owned from 1985 to 1990 in LA.
- 4:15Speaker 4: Cause you know, she was living in Nashville when she
- 4:17Speaker 4: passed away.
- 4:18Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 4:19Speaker 2: So there's been a new owner between them and now.
- 4:21Speaker 4: But you could still have a house that Dolly Parton
- 4:23Speaker 4: once lived in for $ 7. 9 million.
- 4:25Speaker 2: If you got Got it.
- 4:27Speaker 5: Close.
- 4:28Speaker 4: That's three things you need to know. More at thealabamashow.com.
- 4:32Speaker 1: The Alabama Show on demand. Yes! Free on the iHeartRadio app.
- 4:36Speaker 2: Tara, good morning. What's your issue for Ask Alabama?
- 4:40Speaker 5: My best friend hooked up with a guy on my couch.
- 4:43Speaker 4: Oh, no.
- 4:43Speaker 2: That's why we do Ask Alabama. If you ever have
- 4:46Speaker 2: an issue, we will do our best to give you advice.
- 4:48Speaker 2: Whether it's good or not, I don't know.
- 4:50Speaker 4: Call the show if you ever have an issue.
- 4:53Speaker 2: 833-501-BAMA is the number. What is going on?
- 4:56Speaker 5: So I asked my friend to take care of my
- 4:59Speaker 5: pets while I was out of town. And so I
- 5:02Speaker 5: occasionally check my cameras in the house every so often
- 5:06Speaker 5: when I'm away from home.
- 5:08Speaker 2: And? Well, I checked my camera on one of the
- 5:13Speaker 2: days and.
- 5:15Speaker 4: Saw my friend right in the middle of the act
- 5:17Speaker 4: with her boyfriend on my couch.
- 5:19Speaker 2: Oh, my God. What did you do?
- 5:23Speaker 5: I immediately started melting down and told my boyfriend about it.
- 5:29Speaker 2: Ew, because there's butts on your throat pillows. Yeah, exactly.
- 5:34Speaker 5: And he told me to calm down and goes, yeah,
- 5:37Speaker 5: that happens.
- 5:39Speaker 2: No way. Like she knows I have cameras. Does she
- 5:46Speaker 2: know you caught her on the couch? No, she does
- 5:49Speaker 2: not know that I caught her on my couch.
- 5:51Speaker 5: But she knows I'm a super huge neat freak and
- 5:54Speaker 5: knows that I don't want to have anyone hook up
- 5:57Speaker 5: on my couch.
- 5:58Speaker 2: Yeah, that's understandable.
- 6:00Speaker 5: Like I want to say something to her, but my
- 6:03Speaker 5: boyfriend and sisters keep on telling me I shouldn't because
- 6:06Speaker 5: she watched my pets for free.
- 6:08Speaker 2: Like, I'm wondering if I'm overreacting.
- 6:10Speaker 4: Producer Blake, if you let somebody house sit for you
- 6:12Speaker 4: and they hooked up on your couch, you fessing at
- 6:14Speaker 4: them for it or no?
- 6:15Speaker 1: Go for it.
- 6:16Speaker 3: Just don't go in my bed. I don't care if
- 6:18Speaker 3: you do it or not.
- 6:18Speaker 2: That's so gross. You sit on that couch. So do I, apparently. Oh,
- 6:25Speaker 2: my God. Like, please tell me you washed your throw
- 6:27Speaker 2: blankets and your pillows and stuff after you came home.
- 6:31Speaker 2: I immediately washed everything. That is so gross. Yeah, I know.
- 6:35Speaker 2: Ain't no way. If somebody's hooking up on my couch
- 6:38Speaker 2: with their boyfriend when they're watching my house, they're not
- 6:42Speaker 2: watching my house again. That's so nasty. Call the show.
- 6:45Speaker 4: 833-501-BAMA is the number. Have you ever gone through something
- 6:49Speaker 4: like this?
- 6:49Speaker 2: And do you think Tara's overreacting?
- 6:51Speaker 5: 833-501-2262.
- 6:54Speaker 1: You're listening to the Alabama show on demand.
- 6:57Speaker 4: Tara's friend house sat for her while she was out
- 6:59Speaker 4: of town and then had a guy over and Tara
- 7:01Speaker 4: looked at her cameras and caught them on the couch
- 7:04Speaker 4: in the middle of doing the grown up. 833-501-BAMA is
- 7:08Speaker 4: the number to call the show. Do you think Tara
- 7:10Speaker 4: has a right to be upset?
- 7:12Speaker 2: Good morning. Who's this?
- 7:13Speaker 1: This is Nina.
- 7:15Speaker 2: Nina. Okay.
- 7:16Speaker 4: If you let your friend house it for you and
- 7:18Speaker 4: she had somebody over, would you be upset? Absolutely.
- 7:22Speaker 3: I would be so upset.
- 7:25Speaker 2: I mean, and on the couch, do you have cameras
- 7:28Speaker 2: in your house? I don't. However, there is no reason.
- 7:32Speaker 1: Why they need to be hooking up on the couch.
- 7:35Speaker 1: I would say, no, ma'am, I don't need your help anymore.
- 7:37Speaker 2: Yeah. Go home and do that. Yeah, you're here for
- 7:40Speaker 2: a job. You're supposed to be watching my pets, not
- 7:43Speaker 2: traumatizing them.
- 7:45Speaker 5: Exactly.
- 7:46Speaker 2: I bet they had a show to watch, though. Nina,
- 7:49Speaker 2: thank you for calling.
- 7:51Speaker 1: Yeah, y'all have a blessed day. It's three things you
- 7:53Speaker 1: need to know with the Alabama Show.
- 7:56Speaker 4: As Hurricane Isaias gets closer to landfall this morning, the
- 8:00Speaker 4: winds are up to 110 miles per hour already. Landfall
- 8:03Speaker 4: is expected to happen after 7 p.m. We could get
- 8:06Speaker 4: up to 4 inches of rain here in central Alabama.
- 8:09Speaker 4: Winds could gust as high as 60 miles per hour
- 8:12Speaker 4: for much.
- 8:12Speaker 2: Of the state of Alabama, which means.
- 8:15Speaker 4: Downed trees, power outages, isolated tornadoes are possible.
- 8:19Speaker 2: Please stay weather alert. We will keep you updated here.
- 8:21Speaker 4: Keep listening for more updates and just bunker down and
- 8:26Speaker 4: be safe. Taylor Swift will perform at the 2026 Academy Museum.
- 8:31Speaker 2: Gala on October 17th.
- 8:33Speaker 4: The event's going to honor Charlize Theron, Colman Domingo, and
- 8:36Speaker 4: filmmaker-composer John Carpenter. She's expected to perform her song, I
- 8:40Speaker 4: Knew It, I Knew You, which was the song she
- 8:42Speaker 4: wrote for Toy Story 5.
- 8:43Speaker 2: So I cannot wait for that performance. It'll be really good.
- 8:47Speaker 4: Everybody's talking about Amazon's About You feature. It's going viral
- 8:51Speaker 4: because of the unhinged things it says about you.
- 8:53Speaker 1: Okay.
- 8:54Speaker 2: And people are looking at it. So it's a new feature.
- 8:56Speaker 4: It uses your purchase history, searches, reviews, save list, and
- 8:59Speaker 4: Alexa conversations to personalize your shopping. People are showing what
- 9:03Speaker 4: it says. And some of theirs says, has no friends,
- 9:08Speaker 4: uses phone in the shower to read Kindle books, and
- 9:10Speaker 4: cannot keep real plants alive.
- 9:12Speaker 2: Okay. It's very unhinged.
- 9:14Speaker 4: So if you want to see what it says about
- 9:16Speaker 4: you in the Amazon shopping app, open and click the
- 9:21Speaker 4: little me or account button and then tap your name.
- 9:26Speaker 4: And there'll be a thing that says about you.
- 9:28Speaker 2: Click on that. So I did mine. Here's what mine says. OK,
- 9:31Speaker 2: it says has a cap.
- 9:32Speaker 5: Okay.
- 9:33Speaker 2: Hits snooze a lot in the morning.
- 9:35Speaker 3: It's getting it so far.
- 9:36Speaker 2: I don't know how it knows that. That freaked me out.
- 9:40Speaker 4: Regularly replenishes specialty chocolate treats.
- 9:43Speaker 3: Okay, man, this is good.
- 9:45Speaker 2: And has chickens.
- 9:48Speaker 3: Your Amazon is scary accurate.
- 9:50Speaker 4: So if you want to see what yours says, maybe
- 9:52Speaker 4: we'll do that. Pull yours up and look and call
- 9:54Speaker 4: the show and tell us what yours says about you. 833-501-BAMA.
- 9:58Speaker 4: But that's three things you need to know more. at thealabamashow.com.
- 10:02Speaker 4: The Alabama Show on demand.
- 10:04Speaker 2: Free on the iHeartRadio app. 833-501-BAMA is the number to
- 10:08Speaker 2: call the show. Dallas, good morning. What are you doing
- 10:11Speaker 2: right now?
- 10:12Speaker 4: I'm about two miles away from the house getting off
- 10:14Speaker 4: of work.
- 10:14Speaker 2: Where do you work overnight?
- 10:16Speaker 4: Blue Origin in Huntsville.
- 10:17Speaker 2: What is that?
- 10:18Speaker 4: Building rocket ships.
- 10:19Speaker 2: Do you have an in? Like, could you send me
- 10:22Speaker 2: and producer Blake to space? As far as I know,
- 10:25Speaker 2: I think they quit doing that. Okay. Dallas, do you
- 10:28Speaker 2: have any good news you want to share?
- 10:30Speaker 1: Oh, well, two months ago, I landed the dream job
- 10:32Speaker 1: I've been after for a decade. Woo!
- 10:35Speaker 2: And it's the building rocket ships.
- 10:38Speaker 4: Correct.
- 10:38Speaker 2: What did you do to get to build rocket ships?
- 10:41Speaker 2: Do you have to go to school for that? Most
- 10:43Speaker 2: people do. Okay, so what did you do?
- 10:45Speaker 5: I spent the last 10 years bouncing around, learning on
- 10:48Speaker 5: the job.
- 10:49Speaker 2: Okay.
- 10:49Speaker 3: That's kind of cool.
- 10:50Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 10:50Speaker 2: Congratulations. So you were interning, kind of? Yeah, you could
- 10:54Speaker 2: say that. What rules did you break to get in?
- 10:56Speaker 4: Did you lie when you filled out your application? Did
- 10:59Speaker 4: they think you went to school?
- 11:01Speaker 5: Oh, no.
- 11:01Speaker 1: I told them straight up school was not for me.
- 11:04Speaker 2: Well, congratulations. Dallas building rocket ships. That's awesome. Well, thank y'all.
- 11:10Speaker 1: You're listening to The Alabama Show On Demand.
- 11:13Speaker 2: Are you nervous? You just gave me your phone.
- 11:15Speaker 3: I don't know what to do. I don't know what
- 11:17Speaker 3: it is.
- 11:18Speaker 4: So there's a new Amazon About Me feature that's going viral,
- 11:22Speaker 4: and it's very unhinged, and people are laughing about it.
- 11:24Speaker 3: Okay.
- 11:26Speaker 4: Thanks for listening to The Alabama Show. I'm Alabama with
- 11:29Speaker 4: producer Blake.
- 11:30Speaker 3: That's me.
- 11:30Speaker 4: And so mine, I said a minute ago, my About
- 11:33Speaker 4: Me says, hits news a lot in the morning.
- 11:36Speaker 3: Okay.
- 11:37Speaker 2: And has chickens.
- 11:38Speaker 4: And if you want to find it, you open your
- 11:40Speaker 4: Amazon account, you click Amazon, The picture, your account, you
- 11:45Speaker 4: click your name.
- 11:45Speaker 3: Okay.
- 11:46Speaker 4: And then you click about you.
- 11:49Speaker 1: Okay.
- 11:49Speaker 2: It's this new thing at the bottom.
- 11:51Speaker 4: And 833-501-BAMA is the number if you want to call
- 11:55Speaker 4: and see what yours says.
- 11:57Speaker 3: Okay.
- 11:58Speaker 2: Here's what yours says about you, Producer Blake.
- 12:00Speaker 4: Are you ready?
- 12:00Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 12:01Speaker 2: Building a comprehensive gaming ecosystem.
- 12:03Speaker 3: Okay. Yeah, that's pretty accurate.
- 12:06Speaker 2: Interested in PlayStation.
- 12:08Speaker 3: Well, okay.
- 12:09Speaker 4: Likely snorkels recreationally?
- 12:13Speaker 2: Who snorkels?
- 12:15Speaker 5: Okay.
- 12:18Speaker 2: Did you buy snorkeling stuff?
- 12:20Speaker 3: Like three years ago. I've not done that in a
- 12:23Speaker 3: hot minute.
- 12:25Speaker 2: What? Collectible model kits.
- 12:29Speaker 3: I don't even like model kits.
- 12:30Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 12:31Speaker 3: I think that's just a guess. Go next. What's next?
- 12:33Speaker 2: Goes on cruises.
- 12:35Speaker 3: I've done that twice, yeah.
- 12:38Speaker 2: Has prepared for cruise travel repeatedly.
- 12:41Speaker 3: I've done it twice.
- 12:42Speaker 2: What am I doing?
- 12:46Speaker 3: There you go.
- 12:47Speaker 2: That's about you. We know all about you now.
- 12:50Speaker 3: Yeah, that works.
- 12:51Speaker 2: There's a few more, but those were the best ones.
- 12:54Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 12:55Speaker 2: Hang on. Tell me about the snorkeling.
- 12:58Speaker 3: Whenever I go, whenever I went to the cruise, I
- 13:01Speaker 3: had to look up snorkeling stuff, so I bought some
- 13:03Speaker 3: snorkel stuff.
- 13:04Speaker 2: Did you ever use the snorkeling stuff? Did you actually snorkel?
- 13:07Speaker 3: I did not. I did not get into the ocean
- 13:11Speaker 3: that day.
- 13:11Speaker 2: So it didn't work.
- 13:13Speaker 4: If you want to open yours and tell us what
- 13:15Speaker 4: yours says about you, call the show.
- 13:16Speaker 2: 833-501-BAMA is the number.

- 14:03Speaker 4: creep your stuff and tell you about yourself. Grace says,

- 14:10Speaker 3: Does she? I hope so. Otherwise, it's going to be

- 14:14Speaker 4: We got a guy in the chat, Doggy Dad. He
