- 0:38Music.
- 0:48She's a happy girl,
- 1:02We talk about faith, but do we really live it? Faith isn't a word to be thrown
- 1:07around lightly. It is a way of life to be lived out loud, up front, and on full display.
- 1:12Join Kim in this podcast of Woman at the Well Ministries as we take a deep dive
- 1:16into faith and look at those who have been living examples of a life well-lived, a life lived by faith.
- 1:23Hello, and thank you for joining us in this podcast of Woman at the Well Ministries.
- 1:27What a pleasure it is to speak to you today through the scriptures about the
- 1:33most fundamental piece of our salvation.
- 1:38The Bible tells us that it's for by grace you're saved through faith and that not of yourselves.
- 1:46It is the gift of God, not of works, lest any man should boast.
- 1:50No man come unto the Father, but through Jesus the Son, through faith in him,
- 1:56through faith in His work on the cross of Calvary, through faith in His redemptive
- 2:02blood that washes away our sins.
- 2:05Yet we don't usually spend much time talking about faith.
- 2:11But Scripture has a lot to say about faith.
- 2:14And it's so important to our salvation that we need to be more inclined to reflect
- 2:22upon what it means to have faith,
- 2:24to look at what faith looks like in a person who is filled with faith and to ask God to give us faith.
- 2:36Because he says, if we ask, he will give it to us.
- 2:39And so today, we're going to look at faith, at what it is.
- 2:45We're going to look at Noah and how he showed it off.
- 2:50And others who give us the hope in God through their faith in Jesus Christ,
- 2:59work on Calvary, and in the love of God that he shows towards each of us.
- 3:06Faith is fundamental to salvation.
- 3:09It's as fundamental as gasoline is to a car driving down the road.
- 3:15Faith is fundamental to pleasing the Lord.
- 3:19It's as fundamental as eating food fuels our body.
- 3:24Faith is so important that in Hebrews 11, 6, he says, but without faith,
- 3:31it is impossible to please him.
- 3:34For he that cometh to God must believe that he is, that he is a rewarder of
- 3:40them to diligently seek Him.
- 3:43It's my prayer today that as we walk through this message on faith,
- 3:49that you are inspired and motivated to live a life filled with faith.
- 3:57That you take a look at Jesus Christ for who He is and you realize that every step you take with Him,
- 4:05that every task you complete for Him, that the service you give to Him is far
- 4:12more valuable than anything else you will do,
- 4:16and that when you seek Him, you will find Him, and He will surely reward you. Let's pray.
- 4:26Our kind and most gracious, dear Heavenly Father, Lord, we thank You for Your
- 4:29presence that we know that is with us right now.
- 4:34For the way that you speak to our hearts when we turn out the world,
- 4:39when we turn off our distractions and we tune into the Holy Spirit.
- 4:45Lord, we thank you for the Holy Spirit that dwells in the life of every believer.
- 4:50We thank you for its teaching, for its instructions, for its comforting,
- 4:55for its direction, and for its guidance.
- 4:58And Lord, you could have chosen to live anywhere, but you choose to live in
- 5:03the hearts and the lives of every believer.
- 5:06Lord, we thank you for the word that was made flesh so that we would have accounts,
- 5:13to lead us and guide us and direct us that would inspire us and motivate us to have more faith.
- 5:20Lord, at this moment in time, we're asking, fill us to overflowing with your presence.
- 5:27Let us enjoy the privilege of hearing you speak and give us the courage to act
- 5:35upon each thing that you bring to remembrance to all of our hearts.
- 5:41And above all else, Lord, we ask that you would increase our faith.
- 5:47That doubt would have no place in our life, that fear would not be a part of
- 5:52our story, and that joy and peace would abound forevermore.
- 5:59In Jesus' name we pray, amen.
- 6:03I ask you to get your Bibles today because we're going to do some work.
- 6:07We're going to walk through the scriptures in a way that I believe will be far
- 6:11more meaningful for you if you have the Word of God in front of you.
- 6:15We're going to begin in Hebrews chapter 11 and verse 1, because we're talking
- 6:20about faith and we're asking ourselves, do we really live it?
- 6:25Is it evident in our life? Do we live our faith out loud?
- 6:30Is it up front when we walk into a room?
- 6:34And is it always on full display?
- 6:37Because our faith will speak to others.
- 6:40Our faith will be a monument and a testimony of who we know God to be.
- 6:47It will be something that excites those around us.
- 6:50If we are consistent with our faith, if we are bold in our faith,
- 6:56and if we live our faith out loud.
- 7:01Now, Hebrews 11, verse 1, it gives us a tremendous definition of what faith is.
- 7:10If God is asking us to have faith and telling us that without it we can't please
- 7:15him, then we want to know what his definition is of faith.
- 7:20And he says this, Now, faith is the substance of things hoped for.
- 7:25Evidence of things not seen.
- 7:29And then he goes on to put an exclamation point in verse 2, and he says,
- 7:34for by it the elders obtained a good report. In other words,
- 7:40because of the faith of the elders, they pleased Almighty God.
- 7:44So you and me as servants of the Most High God, as children of the Lord,
- 7:50as family of God with Jesus Christ,
- 7:53as temples of the Holy Spirit bought by the blood of Jesus Christ,
- 7:57we should seek to please the Lord and to have a good report.
- 8:02All of us, at the end of our life, when we give account of ourselves before
- 8:07God, we want to hear him say, well done, thy good and faithful servants.
- 8:13And so in order to ensure that we are walking in the ways of the Lord,
- 8:18we need to be well prayed, well Bible read, and sure of our faith in Jesus Christ.
- 8:27And so as we begin to look at this, I want you to see something in James,
- 8:33because James really gives us a good idea exactly about what he's thinking that faith really is.
- 8:41So turn to James chapter 2, and we're going to begin reading in James chapter
- 8:472, but I want to read first in James chapter 2 and verse 18.
- 8:54He says, let's just back up one more to 17.
- 8:59Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.
- 9:05Yea, a man may say thou hast faith, and I have work.
- 9:10Show me thy faith without thy works, and I will show thee my faith by my works.
- 9:19Thou believest that there is one God, thou doest well. The devils also believe and tremble.
- 9:24But would thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead.
- 9:31That's James 2, 17 through 20. And what he's telling us is that, Yea,
- 9:37a man must say thou hast faith and I have works, but show me thy faith without
- 9:42my works, and I will show thee my faith by my works.
- 9:46James is telling you, you can talk about faith all you want,
- 9:51but without works, the world's not going to see your faith, and your faith really isn't employed.
- 10:00Now, you may want to argue that point, but let me give you an illustration.
- 10:06And perhaps it will drive my point home a little more clearly.
- 10:12God forbid, let's place ourself in a room with windows that won't open.
- 10:20And one door. And during their time in that room, there's a fire that breaks out in that room.
- 10:27Now, if you're over the age of four or five, you probably know that if you turn
- 10:33the handle on a door and push or pull, depending on how it's hung, the door will open.
- 10:43And you most likely have faith that that would happen every single time.
- 10:48Door unlocked, turn the knob, pull the door in, or push the door out.
- 10:54You have it opening to leave the space you're in and enter another space.
- 11:01So in our scenario where we are in a room together with no windows that will
- 11:06open and one door out, and a fire breaks loose,
- 11:11knowing all of that information, even having faith to have turned the doorknob
- 11:17to walk into the door into the room will do nothing for you.
- 11:24In a room on fire, if you're unwilling to get up, turn that knob.
- 11:30And in faith, believing that you'll open the door and step out to safety.
- 11:36Friends, that's what he means by works.
- 11:40We need to activate our faith, which will cause us to use it.
- 11:47In times of trouble and difficulty, we will employ our faith to know that he
- 11:53said that all things work together for the good to them that love the Lord,
- 11:56to them that are called according to his purpose in Romans 8, 28.
- 12:00That when we're feeling lonely and forgotten,
- 12:05we will remember that he said in Romans 8, 38 and 39, that his love for us will
- 12:12never die, that nothing will separate us from the love of God.
- 12:19We need to remember that he told us in Hebrews, that he would never leave us or forsake us.
- 12:28We need to remember when we need help, when we need strength,
- 12:34when we need supplies, when we need money, that he said he would supply all
- 12:39of our needs according to his riches and glory, and that he would give us the
- 12:43strength to do all things he's asked us to do in Philippians 4, 13 and 19.
- 12:48This is employing your faith when he asked you to do, you do.
- 12:55That's activating your faith. That's trusting God, as he told us to do in Proverbs
- 13:023, 5, 6, and 7, where he says that we're to trust in the Lord with all thine hearts,
- 13:08and lean not unto thine own understanding, but in all thy ways acknowledge him,
- 13:13and he shall direct thy paths.
- 13:16Be not wise in thine own eyes, but depart from evil.
- 13:21The Lord loves you.
- 13:26And he wants you to believe in who he is.
- 13:31He wants you to believe in what he said he would do.
- 13:36He wants you to understand that he loves you enough to die on the cross of Calvary,
- 13:42to pay a sin debt he didn't owe that you couldn't pay before you were even born.
- 13:48And he has spent every waking moment of your life and while you were sleeping.
- 13:56Trying to compel you to see
- 13:59him high and lifted up to see him
- 14:02as savior to believe in the wonder working power of the blood of jesus christ
- 14:08to be soaked in the love of god beyond all measure that you would be able to
- 14:15spend eternity in a home not made with hands eternal into the heavens Jesus loves me, this I know,
- 14:22for the Bible tells me so.
- 14:26This, my friend, is what it means to live by faith.
- 14:33Our works are what demonstrate the faith we have.
- 14:39But don't take my word for it. Let's turn to Genesis chapter 6.
- 14:43You can take my word for it because it is founded in the word of God.
- 14:49But let's look at Noah, and let's turn to Genesis chapter 6,
- 14:54and let's read verses 8 and 9.
- 14:59But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord.
- 15:03These are the generations of Noah. Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations,
- 15:09and Noah walked with God.
- 15:15Have you ever asked yourself what it meant to walk with God?
- 15:21To be hand in hand with the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords?
- 15:25He is no respecter of persons. The scripture tells us that.
- 15:29So the opportunity that he gave Noah to walk hand in hand with him and to walk
- 15:34with him, he has given every person to every one of us who've called Jesus a
- 15:40savior, have committed to him.
- 15:42And that means we have said, I am persuaded that he who has begun a good work
- 15:48in me will complete it in the end, and I'm going to stick to it.
- 15:52I'm going to hold on to his hand. I'm going to look with eyes of faith.
- 15:56I'm going to believe in the whole Almighty God and his power and his plan for me.
- 16:03And I'm going to take Jeremiah 29, 13 to heart.
- 16:07And when you seek me with your whole heart you'll find me I'm gonna take Jeremiah
- 16:1533 3 for everything it says when he says call unto me and I will answer thee
- 16:21and show thee great and mighty things which thou knowest not,
- 16:27he has loved us with an everlasting love he's paid the price he's done the penalty,
- 16:37He's took our place.
- 16:39And with open arms and nail-scarred hands, he is asking you to believe in me.
- 16:45He's asking you to follow him. He's asking you to love him enough to believe.
- 16:55Mark 9.23 says, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.
- 17:06So Noah walked with God, and you can walk with God, too. But I want you to see
- 17:11that it said he was a just man.
- 17:14That meant Noah, who didn't have the Holy Spirit dwelling in him,
- 17:20but had the Holy Spirit visiting him.
- 17:23We have the Holy Spirit 24-7 all the time, but do you listen?
- 17:28Most likely not enough.
- 17:31But Noah walked in the ways of God. Noah did what Noah was asked to do.
- 17:38In fact, let's look at Genesis 6.14.
- 17:41In Genesis 6.14, we see the obedience that Noah displayed when he was given a tremendous task.
- 17:54Here's the task. Make thee an ark of gopher wood.
- 17:58Room shalt thou make in the ark, and shall pitch it within and without with pitch.
- 18:06Verse 22 says, Thus did Noah, according to all that God commanded him,
- 18:13so did he. It was a pretty tall order.
- 18:16It talked about what he needed to do, and I would also like you to understand that in verse 17,
- 18:25he tells him he's going to bring a flood of waters upon the earth to destroy
- 18:28all flesh when the breadth of life from under heaven and everything that is in the earth shall die.
- 18:35And I want you to know that he explains to Noah that the water's going to come from the sky.
- 18:44And up until God does that, Noah had never seen it rain from the sky.
- 18:51All Noah had ever seen was due on the ground.
- 18:55But he's given a task to make an ark of gopher wood.
- 19:00A big ark. Like a massive ark.
- 19:04And he's told that every living fling of all flesh, two of every sort shall
- 19:10thou bring into the ark to keep them alive with thee. They should be male and female.
- 19:16Two of every sort shall come unto thee to keep them alive.
- 19:20And 22 again says this. Thus did Noah.
- 19:26According to all that God commanded him, so did he.
- 19:31What a task. We've all been asked of God to do something,
- 19:37and we all have our measure of talents and skills that are meant to be used
- 19:42for His service and His glory, to bring Him honor and others into the kingdom.
- 19:48And when God taps us on the shoulder and asks us to use them in a way that He
- 19:53intended them to be used, in a way that He had planned, it is our obligation,
- 19:58our duty, and above all, our privilege to do exactly what he's asked us to do.
- 20:04But so often we miss the blessing, we miss the mark, and we put our own logic
- 20:09in and our own reasoning, and we just simply say, I'm not going to do it.
- 20:13It's not me. He's made a mistake. No, you never say that he's made a mistake.
- 20:21But you're living it when you deny his call on your life.
- 20:28It is a privilege to be called to serve the Lord.
- 20:34And every one of his children are called for a specific purpose, to do a specific job.
- 20:43If you don't do it, don't think you will thwart God's plan.
- 20:47Somebody else will get the blessing.
- 20:49Somebody else will live in that presence next to him.
- 20:53Don't be satisfied to live below your privileges.
- 20:59In fact, perhaps someone hasn't told you lately whose you are.
- 21:04As a child of the Most High King, your father owns the cattle on a thousand
- 21:11hills and the hills thereof, and everything is under his feet.
- 21:15He created the heavens and the earth. He speaks life into existence.
- 21:21He hangs the sun and the moon.
- 21:23And the stars. He speaks to the wind, and they have bowed to his obedience.
- 21:30He tells the waves when to move and when to cease.
- 21:35He knows the number of sand particles, not just in a glass, but in the world.
- 21:45He knows your name. He called Marsa by name.
- 21:49He called Lazarus by name, and he's calling your name.
- 21:55He knows the number of hairs on your head.
- 21:58Even if you're like someone that might highlight their hair or diet,
- 22:04he and only he knows the color of it.
- 22:08He knows the dimples in your face, the scars in your heart, the pain in your
- 22:16eyes, and the life you've lived, both for him and against him.
- 22:22In good times and in bad times, he's on the waters of your troubled storm with hands stretched wide,
- 22:31begging you to come, call my name, call upon me, and I will answer thee,
- 22:37and I'll show you great and mighty things which thou dost know.
- 22:43Jesus loves me, yes I know, for the Bible tells me so.
- 22:50In chapter 7 and verse 5, it reads like this, And Noah did according unto all
- 22:59that the Lord commanded him.
- 23:03He asked very little of us. Some of us can't get to church once a week.
- 23:08God forbid we'd be asked to go twice.
- 23:11And then in a deeper, more complex idea, three times, we owe him a tenth.
- 23:212.4 hours a day. That's what you owe him.
- 23:25Oh, tithing isn't just for money. It definitely is. But it's your energy. It's your effort.
- 23:33And you know, he says something extremely profound. He often does.
- 23:40In fact, every word of Christ is.
- 23:43But one of the most profound things that rolls in my head on a daily basis is his words.
- 23:51If you love me, you'll keep my commandments.
- 23:55And they're not grievous. In other words, they're not hard. They're not a chore.
- 24:02They're not something to dread. Let that soak in for a minute.
- 24:08The ten commandments are great and none of us can live them certainly not without
- 24:13the help of the holy spirit but my friend you shouldn't be upset about having to live them.
- 24:20Whatever sin you would like to commit there's just a devil lying to you telling
- 24:25you to be better than living in righteousness see he imputed his righteousness
- 24:30in you and as the temple of god bought with the price of his blood.
- 24:34To show forth his good works. He tells us in Matthew 5, 16, to let your light
- 24:39so shine before men that they may see your good works and glorify your Father, which is in heaven.
- 24:45This, my friend, this, my friend, is what it means to live your faith out loud.
- 24:54I want you to see that in Hebrews chapter 11, let's just turn there.
- 25:01Noah, he's in the hall of fame of faith.
- 25:05In Hebrews chapter 11 and verse 7, about to get there, he says this,
- 25:13By faith, Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet. Remember?
- 25:20Things not seen, evidence of things hoped for.
- 25:23Warned of things not seen as of yet moved with fear prepared an ark to the saving
- 25:30of his house by which he condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith,
- 25:38by faith abraham when he was called out into a place where he should after receive
- 25:44for inheritance obeyed and went out not knowing whither where he went abraham
- 25:50went because god said go and he didn't even know where he was going.
- 25:55Noah builds an ark to prepare for something he'd never seen.
- 26:01It's time we activate our faith.
- 26:04It's time that we employ our faith.
- 26:08It's time that we love him enough so that when he asks us to do something,
- 26:13it doesn't seem so tough.
- 26:18You to look in 2 Peter 2.5. And spare not the old world, but save Noah,
- 26:26the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness,
- 26:31bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly.
- 26:36What was the reward given to Noah for believing? Remember, he tells us in Hebrews
- 26:4411.6, But without faith, it is impossible to please him. And you must believe.
- 26:50Because he says, but without faith, it is impossible to please him.
- 26:55For he that cometh to God must believe that he is.
- 27:01That is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
- 27:07What was Noah's reward for his faith? For seeking the will of God and employing
- 27:13it? The whole ungodly world faced a flood.
- 27:18But Noah, a preacher of righteousness, was saved and spared.
- 27:25I want you to also look at some characteristics of Noah.
- 27:31His faith clearly separated him from the ungodly, and it was obvious.
- 27:38My question to you, is your faith obvious?
- 27:43He says, be peculiar people, zealous of good works, set apart for the service of the Lord.
- 27:51Is that said of you? Do the people who come behind you and follow you see God high and lifted up?
- 28:01One of those people who promote yourself. Let's look at what Noah did.
- 28:07Let's look at Genesis 7 and verse 24.
- 28:11First of all, he faithfully served through the silence of God.
- 28:18In 724, it says, and the waters prevailed upon the earth 150 days.
- 28:26In 815, he says, and God spake unto Noah.
- 28:32150 days of silence, walking in faith, living in faith, keeping on, keeping on.
- 28:43So let's talk about our faith for a minute.
- 28:47Noah wasn't talking about, I build an ark.
- 28:52Noah was preaching the righteousness of God. Noah wasn't talking about his carpentry skills.
- 29:00He was talking about the faithfulness and the judgment of God.
- 29:06Noah wasn't bragging that he and his family was going to be the only ones there
- 29:11because Noah was trying to get everyone else to come on board the ark.
- 29:16Noah was trying to get everyone else to be spared because Noah was trying to
- 29:20get everyone to see God high and lifted up.
- 29:23Their only plan of redemption, the only way that they could be saved,
- 29:27the only way that they could be spared. They may have thought they were going along fine.
- 29:31They may have thought their life was good. But Noah knew differently.
- 29:35And even between the times of him speaking, during the times of silence, Noah stood the course.
- 29:43You think he didn't face some ridicule?
- 29:47Somebody didn't call you, oh man, what are you doing building an ark?
- 29:50That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard.
- 29:53Don't you think somebody probably said whatever the word was back in that time,
- 29:56oh, he's got dementia, he's senile?
- 29:58Do you think Noah cared what people said about him?
- 30:02Listen, there's a difference between caring about what people says about you
- 30:06and being hurt by what people say about you.
- 30:10You cannot care to the extent that you will continue to do what God says,
- 30:15But don't you ever fool yourself and don't let anyone else ever fool you into
- 30:19believing that being hurt by the words of others,
- 30:22especially other Christians and people who are walking beside of you,
- 30:26supposedly in the faith, hurt you.
- 30:28It means that you're not right. That is so wrong. That is so wrong.
- 30:33The last person you should think that would ever hurt you is the person who's naming the name of God.
- 30:39The last person that should ever ridicule you for being peculiar and zealous
- 30:44of good works should be a person who says they're of God.
- 30:47But I have two things to say to you.
- 30:50One, not everyone that claims Lord, Lord knows him.
- 30:53And two, the wounds of a friend are faithful.
- 30:58They'll happen. The ones who love you the most will hurt you the most.
- 31:03There's a reason why the very center verse of the Bible says,
- 31:06put your faith in God and not in man. this will come a time they'll hurt you.
- 31:12Perhaps deliberately or perhaps not. But he will never hurt you.
- 31:18He will correct you because he loves you.
- 31:22He'll do a course correction because he has to. But he will never degrade you.
- 31:28He'll never forsake you.
- 31:30And he will never, ever, ever not put you first.
- 31:36You are the apple of his eye. You have to know that Noah endured great,
- 31:44mocking, tribulation. Noah had to have friends. He seems like a grand guy.
- 31:50I mean, why would God call him out if he didn't? And he was preaching righteousness.
- 31:55He was a person of hope.
- 32:00Don't worry about your friends that forsake you. Don't worry about the people you love that hurt you.
- 32:06You keep on keeping on, because silence isn't forever.
- 32:11He speaks. Are you listening?
- 32:14I want you to see what he does in Genesis 8, 20.
- 32:20And Noah built an altar unto the Lord, and took of every clean beast and every
- 32:26clean fowl, and offered a burnt offering on the altar. You know why it did that?
- 32:33Because earlier in chapter 8, he sends out a dove and a raven.
- 32:40The dove comes back because he was nowhere to find rest.
- 32:45But six days later, he sends the dove out again and the dove comes back with an olive branch.
- 32:54I had two things to say. rest is coming.
- 33:00Rest is coming. Keep working. Keep keeping on.
- 33:04Even when it doesn't make any sense, he had promised he would take care of them.
- 33:10Here's Noah looking for a place to rest, looking for a place to come out.
- 33:15But here's the second thing. He didn't bring back a maple tree.
- 33:21He didn't bring back a sycamore tree he didn't bring back any of the other hundreds
- 33:27of species of trees we know of he didn't bring back a big redwood forest you
- 33:33know what he brought back,
- 33:34an olive branch jesus was crucified on an olive tree.
- 33:42Brought back the reminder of Christ.
- 33:47Just as Christ is the hope of all glory, the hope of all peace,
- 33:53the hope of all joy, the hope of our life, the hope of our light, He is our hope.
- 34:01The olive branch, the mouth of the dove of the Holy Spirit brought Jesus and
- 34:09the hope of Jesus, the resurrection of Jesus to Noah.
- 34:15Noah didn't walk with Jesus, and the Holy Spirit didn't live in Noah.
- 34:20But the Holy Spirit descended upon Noah in the form of a dove carrying the olive
- 34:27branch to tell him who Jesus was in his heart,
- 34:31to let him know that peace be still and joy abounds, because the King of kings
- 34:37and the Lord of lords has not forsaken him.
- 34:40His promises are true, and it is going to happen just as God said it would.
- 34:50Hold on in the silence and build the altar of remembrance and gratefulness when
- 35:00joy comes in the morning.
- 35:04In genesis 9 12 through 17 it's a familiar account but i'm not sure we always get it.
- 35:16God said, This is the token of the covenant which I make between me and you
- 35:20and every living creature that is with you for perpetual generations.
- 35:26I do set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token of a covenant between me and the earth.
- 35:35And it shall come to pass, when I bring a cloud over the earth,
- 35:40that the bow shall be seen in the cloud, and when I will remember my covenant
- 35:45which is between me and you and every living creature of all flesh.
- 35:49And the water shall no more become a flood to destroy all flesh.
- 35:57And in 17, he says, And God said unto Noah, This is the token of the covenant,
- 36:04which I have established between me and all flesh that is upon the earth.
- 36:11What is the reward for faith?
- 36:14That we're talking about in Hebrews 11, 6, it's here.
- 36:18And God said unto Noah, this is a token of the covenant.
- 36:21It is a covenant with Jesus Christ. And he said, let not your heart be troubled.
- 36:27If you believe in God, believe also in me.
- 36:29In my father's house are many mansions. And if it were not so, I would have told you.
- 36:34I go to prepare a place for you that where I am, he may be also.
- 36:38So this is the covenant of the blood of Jesus Christ through the faith in his son.
- 36:45Jesus loves me. This I know.
- 36:49For the Bible tells me so. We have hope in God.
- 36:55Those who have faith have hope.
- 36:581 Peter 3.15 says, But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts and be ready always
- 37:03to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason.
- 37:08Of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear.
- 37:12When you have faith in God, when you love Him, and when you know Him, you can give an answer.
- 37:21Commandments won't cause you grief. Titus 2.13 tells us how to live when we're
- 37:27faithful, looking for that blessed hope and the glorious appearing of the great
- 37:31God and our Savior, Jesus Christ.
- 37:33I'm looking for a city where we'll never die.
- 37:42Are you looking for that city?
- 37:45Are you getting up every day and saying, heaven is my home. I'm a stranger and
- 37:50I'm a pilgrim here. My faith will end in sight.
- 37:53And one day, one glorious day, I'll see him face to face.
- 38:02Jeremiah 17, 7 says, Blessed is the man that trusteth in the Lord and whose hope the Lord is.
- 38:12I pray that you know him. because Jesus loves you.
- 38:17And from Genesis to Revelations, he tells you all about it.
- 38:23So for the joy of the Lord and the goodness of God, and to just imprint it deeply
- 38:32in your heart, sing with me,
- 38:38Jesus loves me.
- 38:42Jesus.
- 38:42Music.
- 39:56Loved. Jesus loves you.
