- Lucas: Welcome back to Learn Spanish with Fexingo! I'm Lucas. Luna: And I'm Luna. We're so happy you're here again. Lucas: Today we're going to take a little imaginary walk in the park and describe what we see. Nature words. Luna: Oh, I love that. After all those episodes about asking for directions in the park, now we can actually talk about the park itself. Lucas: Exactly. Let's start with the sky. In Spanish, the sky is 'el cielo'. Luna: El cielo. Lucas: Good. And when you look up, you might see clouds. Clouds are 'las nubes'. Luna: Las nubes. Lucas: Perfect. And of course, the sun is 'el sol'. Luna: El sol. Okay, so el cielo, las nubes, el sol. Lucas: Now let's put them together. If the sky is blue, you say 'El cielo está azul'. Luna: El cielo está azul. Lucas: Right. You can also say 'Hace buen tiempo' — it's nice weather. Luna: Hace buen tiempo. Lucas: And finally, 'Es un día bonito' — it's a pretty day. Luna: Es un día bonito. That sounds lovely. Lucas: Let's practice them all. I'll say a phrase, and you repeat. El cielo está azul. Luna: El cielo está azul. Lucas: Hace buen tiempo. Luna: Hace buen tiempo. Lucas: Es un día bonito. Luna: Es un día bonito. Lucas: You've got it. Now imagine we're in the park. You look up and say: El cielo está azul. Luna: El cielo está azul. Lucas: There are a few clouds — hay algunas nubes. But the sun is shining — el sol brilla. Luna: So I could say: El cielo está azul, hay nubes, pero el sol brilla. Lucas: Yes! That's a great sentence. And you can add: Hace buen tiempo. Es un día bonito. Luna: Hace buen tiempo. Es un día bonito. Perfect for a walk. Lucas: Exactly. You know, if this lesson is making your day a little nicer, here's a thought. Fexingo helps you make real progress with Spanish, and it stays ad-free because of listeners who support it. Luna: Yeah, if you find these episodes useful, buy me a coffee dot com slash fexingo is where you can help keep this going. Lucas: It's a simple way to say thanks. We appreciate it, but no pressure. Now back to our park. Let's say it's a cloudy day. How would you say that? Luna: Umm... 'Hay muchas nubes'? Lucas: Yes! 'Hay muchas nubes' — there are many clouds. Or you could say 'El cielo está nublado'. Luna: El cielo está nublado. The sky is cloudy. Lucas: Right. And if the sun comes out, you say 'Salió el sol'. Luna: Salió el sol. The sun came out. Lucas: Let's hear you use these in a mini story. Start: El cielo estaba nublado. Luna: El cielo estaba nublado. Había muchas nubes. Pero luego salió el sol y el cielo se puso azul. Lucas: Wow! That was great. 'El cielo se puso azul' — the sky turned blue. You used the past tense too. Luna: I did? I just said what felt right. Lucas: That's how language learning works. So now you can describe a whole weather change. Let's do one more round of our key phrases. Repeat after me: el cielo. Luna: El cielo. Lucas: Las nubes. Luna: Las nubes. Lucas: El sol. Luna: El sol. Lucas: El cielo está azul. Luna: El cielo está azul. Lucas: Hace buen tiempo. Luna: Hace buen tiempo. Lucas: Es un día bonito. Luna: Es un día bonito. Lucas: Fantastic. Well, that's our walk in the park for today. Next time you're outside, try describing what you see in Spanish. Luna: Yes, look up at el cielo, spot las nubes, feel el sol, and think 'Hace buen tiempo'. Lucas: That's all for today. Practice these, and we'll see you on the next episode of Learn Spanish with Fexingo. Luna: Bye! ¡Hasta luego!
