1:11
SPEAKER_18: So it's been a while since I have been able to officially go and thank the AI overlords for the Zema Fizz theme song.
1:26
SPEAKER_18: You see, the the previous employer, my previous employer, who shall uh not be named on this new show.
1:33
SPEAKER_18: I thought about coming up with a um, I thought about coming up with uh a different way to say it.
1:39
SPEAKER_18: And I hadn't I hadn't landed on anything good.
1:43
SPEAKER_18: So like in your head, you can complete the sentence of John Justice used to work for blank blank.
1:50
SPEAKER_18: Okay, so you know what I'm talking about, and we have assistant producer uh Isaac is uh here with me this morning.
1:57
SPEAKER_18: Good morning.
1:58
SPEAKER_18: Good morning, Isaac.
1:58
SPEAKER_18: Good morning, John.
1:59
SPEAKER_18: Happy to be here with you.
2:00
SPEAKER_18: So we'll be uh we'll be talking with uh with Isaac quite a bit.
2:03
SPEAKER_18: But so you know, so John Justice previously worked for blank blank, but I don't want to say blank blank.
2:08
SPEAKER_18: So I'm like, well, how else could I say how else could I say that?
2:11
SPEAKER_18: And I was like, ooh, what if I did like um like me muscle?
2:16
SPEAKER_18: I like that.
2:17
SPEAKER_18: See, you see, that works, right?
2:19
SPEAKER_18: Yeah.
2:20
SPEAKER_18: I used to work for me muscle.
2:22
SPEAKER_18: I like that.
2:23
SPEAKER_18: Sounds a little strange.
2:26
SPEAKER_18: But I used to work for Meme Muscle.
2:28
SPEAKER_18: And we'll be talking, we'll be talking about this.
2:30
SPEAKER_18: Well, and and at Meme Muscle, they had this whole this whole deal of guaranteed human that they that they launched.
2:40
SPEAKER_18: And what's nice about no longer working for Meme Muscle is I can now actually voice my opinion about the whole guaranteeing human campaign because I just thought it was really dumb.
2:51
SPEAKER_18: I thought it was really, really stupid.
2:55
SPEAKER_03: And the reason I thought it was so stupid was because there's no there's currently no backlash as it relates to AI right now.
3:05
SPEAKER_18: If it hadn't been for our AI overlords and AI, I'm confident that what you're listening to right now in this uh dry run soft launch of the John Justice show presented by American Experiment, because everybody who's going to be listening to this will be after the announcement that would have taken place today if you happen to be listening this to this on Saturday, be via the podcast or watching this um on uh YouTube as we're recording this on uh on on Thursday.
3:42
SPEAKER_18: Um there was if it hadn't been for our AI overlords, everything that you see around around me right now in the video and what you hear on the show today probably would not have been possible.
3:55
SPEAKER_18: It was absolutely incredible how helpful AI was in going and figuring out and problem solving everything that needed to happen and all of the connections and plugins and everything to make all of this work.
4:17
SPEAKER_18: So we are not going with guaranteed human on the John Justice show presented by American Experiment.
4:26
SPEAKER_18: And again, there because there's no public backlash to any of this, there's no real outrage, there's no anger towards artificial intelligence right now.
4:34
SPEAKER_18: So the the the idea that we are guaranteed human.
4:38
SPEAKER_18: Well that doesn't mean anything to anybody.
4:40
SPEAKER_18: That's great, okay.
4:42
SPEAKER_18: Like if you had a bunch of hosts or entertainment outlets providing content that suddenly were now utilizing AI instead of live hosts, then I can see the value.
5:00
SPEAKER_18: See, we're not like the other guys.
5:02
SPEAKER_18: You see, the other guys, see, they're not human.
5:05
SPEAKER_18: They're all artificial intelligence.
5:07
SPEAKER_18: We here at Me Muscle, we are guaranteed human.
5:15
SPEAKER_18: I had it's so much fun that I can talk about all this stuff now.
5:18
SPEAKER_18: And I'll get to what's transpired, how I ended up here at Center of the American Experiment.
5:24
SPEAKER_18: And I couldn't be happier about this, by the way.
5:27
SPEAKER_18: I've been working with uh Isaac since I uh since I joined uh joined the group um a couple of weeks ago, uh, went on my road trip.
5:35
SPEAKER_18: We'll talk about that on the show uh today.
5:39
SPEAKER_18: But um since I, you know, since I've since I've gotten here, uh I've learned uh I've I've absolutely learned a ton, um, not only about American Experiment, but what it takes to go and and run uh run an actual an actual show.
5:55
SPEAKER_18: But when it came to the guaranteed human, they put out, Me Muscle put out a memo.
6:02
SPEAKER_18: This was probably, I don't know, going on six months ago.
6:06
SPEAKER_18: We got the memo that we were moving towards this guaranteed human um bit, whatever you want to call it, policy.
6:13
SPEAKER_18: And I'm like, well, well, wait a second, because we've been using parodies on the show that have been created by AI.
6:21
SPEAKER_18: I mean, the whole the whole Zima Fizz.
6:24
SPEAKER_18: I mean, Max Reimer, who will be joining us on the first official Freedom Friday, next Friday, uh uh live.
6:32
SPEAKER_18: Um, he was the one that created the the Zima Fizz song.
6:37
SPEAKER_18: And so when they made and it was probably it was probably a few weeks after we had it.
6:41
SPEAKER_18: We hadn't been playing Zima Fizz for very long when all of this when this memo came out about being guaranteed human.
6:48
SPEAKER_18: And I was like, well, wait a second, I want to use the intro.
6:51
SPEAKER_18: I mean, I'm guaranteed human.
6:54
SPEAKER_18: I'm I'm a flawed individual.
6:57
SPEAKER_18: You want to be sure about that, yeah.
6:58
SPEAKER_18: I know, right?
6:59
SPEAKER_18: Yeah, yeah.
6:59
SPEAKER_18: Well, you know, I did go see my cardiologist this week, and yeah, I'm pretty, I'm pretty, I'm pretty human.
7:04
SPEAKER_18: So I I I talked with corporate, I talked with lawyers within iHeart, like immediately.
7:13
SPEAKER_18: I was like, hey, so I know we're this guaranteed human, but at the same time, we've got these really cool AI songs that we'd like to play.
7:24
SPEAKER_18: Does this fit into the idea of being uh guaranteed human?
7:29
SPEAKER_18: And so and so I had to wait for a response from the from the from the corporate Fuddy Duddies from Mi Muscle, to which I was pretty much told, yeah, you shouldn't you shouldn't be using that.
7:43
SPEAKER_18: But they didn't even have an answer.
7:45
SPEAKER_18: Like I want to assume, I want to assume that um that Meme muscle had data to look at.
7:55
SPEAKER_18: Like I want to assume that they did research.
7:59
SPEAKER_18: I want to assume that they said, you know, this would be really popular with our with our audience.
8:05
SPEAKER_18: I'm just getting the feeling that that didn't that that didn't happen.
8:10
SPEAKER_18: I just so um I ended up for those that were listening to the previous show, I did end up playing Zima Fizz every single Friday.
8:19
SPEAKER_18: I was just like, you know what?
8:21
SPEAKER_18: I don't think they're paying attention to my show.
8:24
SPEAKER_18: Um clearly at one point they started paying attention to me because they ended up singling me out and letting me go, which was the best absolute absolutely the best thing that could have that could have possibly have um have uh have happened uh to me.
8:38
SPEAKER_18: Um but I decided, you know what, if they want to get on me for playing Zima Fizz on Friday, they can they can get on me for playing Zima Fizz on Friday.
8:47
SPEAKER_18: So here on the new John Justice show presented by American Experiment, we are not guaranteed human.
8:55
SPEAKER_18: I have no problem utilizing AI, although I don't plan on using AI to go and uh and host uh and host the show.
9:02
SPEAKER_18: All right, so here's what these so we have two shows planned for the launch and the announcement of the show that's taking place or will have taken place on Friday.
9:13
SPEAKER_18: I'm gonna have to wrap my head around, I'm gonna have to wrap my head around when I'm talking about this.
9:18
SPEAKER_18: Because I have stories in the stack to talk about today on the show, and I'm like, okay, again, nobody's gonna hear this until after Saturday.
9:26
SPEAKER_18: So a lot of this stuff is gonna have aged.
9:28
SPEAKER_18: So I've made little notes to myself.
9:30
SPEAKER_18: Hey, make sure that you mention that, you know, these stories may be outdated by the time you go and hear this podcast.
9:36
SPEAKER_18: So um we wanted to make sure that we did a couple of dry run shows.
9:42
SPEAKER_18: Um, as Isaac will attest.
9:45
SPEAKER_18: Um I've been here in the office at Center of the American Experiment now.
9:50
SPEAKER_18: So I guess just barely a week and a half.
9:53
SPEAKER_18: I had gone on vacation uh almost immediately after I got let go.
10:00
SPEAKER_18: Um what was less than a month ago.
10:02
SPEAKER_18: It was the 24th.
10:03
SPEAKER_18: So tomorrow will be one month to the day, which is really kind of interesting.
10:07
SPEAKER_18: All of this is fascinating.
10:08
SPEAKER_18: At least it is to me because it involves me.
10:10
SPEAKER_18: So of course it's gonna be fascinating, right?
10:12
SPEAKER_18: Um But we've been working on putting this together because we had no infrastructure to do a live show Monday through Friday.
10:23
SPEAKER_18: Uh podcasts are done here.
10:25
SPEAKER_18: I'm staring at the set for uh Catherine and uh Grace and the Center of the American Experiment uh podcast, which we'll probably end up utilizing on Friday mornings.
10:36
SPEAKER_18: And of course, if you're watching, this is relevant.
10:38
SPEAKER_18: If you happen to be uh listening to the show, it's not as uh as relevant, but hopefully you'll go and check out because we've put a lot of effort into uh designing a background uh here.
10:46
SPEAKER_18: Uh we've have uh we have our in-studio mascot for those that are watching.
10:50
SPEAKER_18: Uh this is not Grogu.
10:53
SPEAKER_18: This is Shogru.
10:55
SPEAKER_18: Shogru is Grogu's brother.
10:59
SPEAKER_18: He's been ostracized.
11:01
SPEAKER_18: He's kind of he's kind of the I know he's green, but he's kind of the black sheep of the family.
11:08
SPEAKER_18: So he's now joined the show as our mascot.
11:12
SPEAKER_18: That's Shogru.
11:13
SPEAKER_18: I've had him for like a couple of years, and I never took him out of the box.
11:18
SPEAKER_18: And he's kind of moved his way around the house, and he ended up with my collection of Star Wars toys in my office, and I was getting ready to leave this morning, and I was like, hey.
11:28
SPEAKER_18: That's and I immediately paused and I went, that's not Grogu.
11:32
SPEAKER_18: That is Shogru.
11:33
SPEAKER_18: And Shoguru is going to be the studio mascot.
11:35
SPEAKER_18: I'm kind of regretting it though, because as excuse me, as I was pointing out to uh to Isaac a moment ago in the camera shot, and just go check out the YouTube video just to see for yourself.
11:47
SPEAKER_18: Like he looks bigger than me, even though he's not.
11:50
SPEAKER_18: Like, just the way the camera is framed.
11:52
SPEAKER_18: He looks like he's bigger than my head.
11:55
SPEAKER_18: So we'll see how long Shogrew, Shogrew, uh, Shoguru lasts.
11:59
SPEAKER_18: So here's what we're doing.
12:00
SPEAKER_18: We're gonna do two dry run shows.
12:03
SPEAKER_18: Um, and these are of course available.
12:04
SPEAKER_18: You're listening to this uh via the podcast, uh, and uh and again on uh up on uh on YouTube as well, uh Thursday and Friday.
12:12
SPEAKER_18: And it really is just to make sure that all the equipment is working properly, uh that everything is functioning the way that we want it uh want it to function for when we officially go and launch uh the show on Monday.
12:27
SPEAKER_18: So for those that are listening or watching via the podcast and you want to know how do you listen live?
12:35
SPEAKER_18: So there will be a live link available at uh americanexperiment.org.
12:41
SPEAKER_18: And that should actually be up on the website now.
12:43
SPEAKER_18: Also, you can download the free Mix L R, and it's just like it sounds M I X L R the free Mix L R app, and just search for John Justice, and you will find our official John Justice show presented by uh American Experiment.
12:58
SPEAKER_18: And uh you can listen there live, and the show will be 6 to 9 a.m.
13:03
SPEAKER_18: Monday through Friday.
13:04
SPEAKER_18: We wanted to do our best to replicate the experience that you had on the former uh Me Muscle show.
13:14
SPEAKER_18: It kind of sounds gross.
13:16
SPEAKER_18: It sounds sounds a little sounds a little gross.
13:21
SPEAKER_18: Did you go see Isaac?
13:22
SPEAKER_18: Did you go see Project Hail Mary?
13:24
SPEAKER_18: I did.
13:24
SPEAKER_18: Okay.
13:24
SPEAKER_18: Did you like Project Hail Mary?
13:26
SPEAKER_18: I absolutely loved it.
13:26
SPEAKER_18: Okay, yeah.
13:27
SPEAKER_18: If you didn't, I was gonna have to ask you to leave it.
13:29
SPEAKER_18: I'm just letting you know.
13:29
SPEAKER_16: Fantastic movie.
13:30
SPEAKER_16: Watched it a couple times, actually.
13:31
SPEAKER_16: Yeah, yeah.
13:32
SPEAKER_18: So did uh so did we.
13:33
SPEAKER_18: I may watch it again, uh may watch it again this weekend.
13:36
SPEAKER_18: Funny side note on that.
13:38
SPEAKER_18: Um I had seen it out of the gate because I was excited for it, had read the had read the book, and on one of the Freedom Fridays, uh, it was I think the it was the first Freedom Friday that we had on the Me Muscle show.
13:54
SPEAKER_18: I may have to change it just because I'm not gonna be able to stop laughing every time I do.
13:58
SPEAKER_18: Um but I had Oh no, no, I forgot.
14:02
SPEAKER_18: This is how it went down.
14:03
SPEAKER_18: So the first Friday after I saw it, Catherine was with us.
14:07
SPEAKER_18: And I asked her, and I shouldn't have, because she doesn't really do movies.
14:11
SPEAKER_18: Catherine Johnson doesn't do I mean she does, but she's not into the pop culture stuff.
14:15
SPEAKER_18: This is more up Grace's alley.
14:17
SPEAKER_18: So I told Grace the previous week, I said you really need to go see this, you know, and now apparently she absolutely loves it.
14:23
SPEAKER_18: She's seen it multiple times uh as uh as as well.
14:26
SPEAKER_18: Because it's a fan, it's like one, it's like the best film of the year.
14:28
SPEAKER_18: And the the whole reason I bring this up in the book, have you did you read the book?
14:31
SPEAKER_18: I did not.
14:32
SPEAKER_18: Okay.
14:33
SPEAKER_18: So in the book, are we okay to do spoilers now?
14:36
SPEAKER_18: It's been long enough, right?
14:37
SPEAKER_18: It's been long enough.
14:37
SPEAKER_18: Okay.
14:38
SPEAKER_18: So at the end of the film, okay, he's in a foreign place.
14:41
SPEAKER_18: We'll put it this way, he's in a foreign place.
14:43
SPEAKER_18: And they didn't address this in the movie, but in the book they did.
14:46
SPEAKER_18: It's like, okay, well, Rocky, his Rocky alien friend, eats differently than Grace does.
14:54
SPEAKER_18: So how is Grace going to go and sustain himself?
14:58
SPEAKER_18: Well, in the book, they explain that they actually used DNA from his own body to create meat that he could eat.
15:07
SPEAKER_18: And he and I believe he called it meat.
15:13
SPEAKER_18: Which was partly my inspiration for me muscle.
15:20
SPEAKER_18: So um the plans for uh this podcast or video that you are are watching is I do have some material to go through.
15:28
SPEAKER_18: Um I also want to lay out what happened, because I think a lot of people want to know what the heck happened.
15:35
SPEAKER_18: And I want to provide details on that, and I wanted to do that via a podcast before the official show launch.
15:43
SPEAKER_18: Uh that way, when we start the show on Monday morning, we can really hit the ground running and just get right into the into the material.
15:51
SPEAKER_18: So I do have material to share with you um this morning.
15:54
SPEAKER_18: I kind of want to get to as caught up today, Thursday and Friday, um, with a lot of the big stories that I simply have not been able to talk about uh over the course of the uh of the past month.
16:05
SPEAKER_18: Uh and also, like I said, um tell the story of uh of what happened, uh my journey, uh my road trip across the country with Kyle, which I could honestly spend the next two hours and 45 minutes talking about.
16:20
SPEAKER_18: It was just it was it was a real, it was a really incredible journey and enlightening on so many different levels and relatable to a lot of what I want to talk about this morning and specifically what I talked about, and again, I have to think about this retrospectively.
16:39
SPEAKER_18: I haven't done my speech yet.
16:41
SPEAKER_18: I have my speech, it's sitting on the laptop.
16:44
SPEAKER_18: I know what's in my speech, I know what I'm going to have said in my speech, so now I have to act as if I've already said that.
16:50
SPEAKER_18: But um, the the road trip was really inspirational for the words that I will share and that I did share on uh on Saturday because it was just a really enlightening eye-opening, uh, eye-opening experience.
17:05
SPEAKER_18: As a matter of fact, this whole month has been that way for me.
17:08
SPEAKER_18: It's the first time in years that at least for a full two weeks, I was completely able to disconnect from all the news.
17:21
SPEAKER_18: Like even when I've gone on vacations on previous jobs in my 30 years of doing radio, I've never been able to just go and disconnect from the news and take a break and not bother to look at anything.
17:37
SPEAKER_18: And for two solid weeks, I was able to do that.
17:40
SPEAKER_18: And it really was helpful to me and it it it gave me a unique perspective on the stuff that we talk about on a daily, on a daily basis, and it was a confirmation of what I had thought, and that is that if you can disconnect from the news, and that's probably the worst thing that I should say is I launch a new show because I want everybody listening to it, but if you can disconnect from the news, um, you know, life in this country is incredible.
18:12
SPEAKER_18: And and and things are actually really good.
18:14
SPEAKER_18: I know we've got issues.
18:16
SPEAKER_18: The state certainly has a ton of issues.
18:18
SPEAKER_18: We'll talk about that.
18:19
SPEAKER_18: It doesn't mean that those problems that are off in the background haven't gone away, but it does mean, and I and I think it's insightful when you consider the upcoming elections, average voters.
18:32
SPEAKER_18: Not everybody goes and checks out shows like like this are involved to think about the mindset of the individual who was more like I was for those two weeks, completely disengaged from everything.
18:45
SPEAKER_18: It speaks to how powerful the messaging is for any party, but particularly, particularly when it comes to the left.
18:55
SPEAKER_18: Because the left has taken this and in the stack today.
18:59
SPEAKER_18: I mean, just I mean, it just goes back to a month ago when I was, you know, the last the last show I did.
19:04
SPEAKER_18: This this TDS anti-Trump stance on everything, to the point of going and pardoning convicted child abusers, I mean pedophiles for crying out loud.
19:18
SPEAKER_18: Um, and what Walls and Ellison did before this illegal alien was deported.
19:24
SPEAKER_18: That messaging, I now realize, resonates a lot more with individuals, the broken and the brainwashed than I could have imagined, especially for those that are disconnected.
19:34
SPEAKER_18: Because if that's all they're hearing, if they're not listening to other shows, if they're not paying attention to the media, and they're just hearing the rhetoric coming from the left, it speaks volumes as to why so many people are falling for so much of this nonsense right now and why the Democrat Party has become such an absolute just mess.
19:59
SPEAKER_18: It's a dumpster fire right now.
20:01
SPEAKER_18: There's a handful of voices out there that are pushing back on it.
20:04
SPEAKER_18: I have some clips that I'll share later on uh in the show regarding that.
20:08
SPEAKER_18: Specifically, Bill Maher had some comments to say, but a really fascinating interview with uh Mick Jagger from the Rolling Stones that came out a couple of weeks ago that I'll grab and I'll I'll share on the uh on the show as well.
20:19
SPEAKER_18: So we'll talk about what happened.
20:20
SPEAKER_18: I'll do that coming up here in uh just a moment.
20:22
SPEAKER_18: Talk about uh the uh the the road trip that my son and I uh my son and I took.
20:28
SPEAKER_18: I do want to get uh uh get you updated on what's been going on with uh with Iran and the renewed uh kinetic activity that has been taking place uh with Iran.
20:38
SPEAKER_18: And again, uh you know, this information is probably gonna be dated by the time you're able to go and uh and check out the show.
20:44
SPEAKER_18: We do have a brand new uh comment line where you can go and leave.
20:48
SPEAKER_18: We haven't landed on a name yet.
20:50
SPEAKER_18: I want to move off of Talkbacks.
20:51
SPEAKER_18: Isaac, is anything fl has anything stuck with you?
20:54
SPEAKER_18: I've thrown out so many things and none of it seemed to land, you know.
20:58
SPEAKER_16: Nothing really lands.
20:59
SPEAKER_16: Nothing's going yeah, nothing, nothing much going on up here.
21:02
SPEAKER_18: I had quips for a while, leave a quip.
21:05
SPEAKER_18: I like to talk smacks.
21:08
SPEAKER_18: And I had been saying talk smacks, but then uh my wife, who I love dearly, was like, it sounds like a cereal.
21:16
SPEAKER_18: She's got a point.
21:17
SPEAKER_18: She does have a point.
21:18
SPEAKER_18: She also said, but they're not talking smack.
21:21
SPEAKER_18: I go, I I get it.
21:23
SPEAKER_18: So we do have a comment line.
21:25
SPEAKER_18: That's just what I'm calling it now.
21:26
SPEAKER_18: We do have a comment line.
21:27
SPEAKER_18: I'll share the comment line here in a bit.
21:29
SPEAKER_18: I've already shared this up online for some people to uh to leave some comments, and so we will uh we will get to some of those as well.
21:36
SPEAKER_18: I do have a brand new uh email address, uh Don uh John Don.
21:40
SPEAKER_18: I changed my name to Don, everybody.
21:42
SPEAKER_18: I'm now don I'm now Don Justice.
21:46
SPEAKER_18: No, John Justice.
21:47
SPEAKER_18: John dot justice at american experiment.org.
21:52
SPEAKER_18: John dot justice at american experiment.org is where you can go and uh and email.
21:57
SPEAKER_18: So uh before we get into uh exactly What happened?
22:01
SPEAKER_18: Why am I no longer with Me Muscle?
22:05
SPEAKER_18: Why am I here at Center of the American Experiment?
22:07
SPEAKER_18: How did this whole thing come about?
22:09
SPEAKER_18: I'll tell you the story uh in uh just a moment.
22:11
SPEAKER_18: First off, though, uh let me go ahead and give you some behind the scenes.
22:15
SPEAKER_18: Uh so for those listening, you'll hear the audio.
22:18
SPEAKER_18: For those watching, you'll see the you'll see the video.
22:20
SPEAKER_18: I shot this about a week ago here at the offices of Center of the American Experiment because I wanted to document um as best I could, because we like it, like I said, we've just been absolutely slammed um busy trying to get all of this uh to together.
22:37
SPEAKER_18: Um but I shot this because I wanted some behind-the-scenes footage of how all of this uh transpired, um, because it was a lot of work and a lot of effort.
22:45
SPEAKER_18: So uh here's a few minutes of uh me explaining kind of where we were, and you'll see the difference between what is in this uh video and audio compared to what I'm actually uh surrounded by uh now as well here on the John Justice show uh presented by American Experiments.
23:09
SPEAKER_18: So there's a handful of people outside of American Experiment that have been aware loosely of what's been going on uh my working with American Experiment and getting ready for uh the return of the show.
23:26
SPEAKER_18: That being said, those individuals continue to sort of ask questions of well, what is it that you need to put together?
23:33
SPEAKER_18: Is it taking as long as it as it is?
23:36
SPEAKER_18: Because American Experiment obviously produces content, video content, podcasts.
23:41
SPEAKER_18: So I decided, you know what?
23:43
SPEAKER_18: Let me go ahead and do some behind the scenes of where we are right now after essentially a week's worth of work.
23:52
SPEAKER_18: And then we'll have some videos showing the completed uh product.
23:58
SPEAKER_18: So I was actually my road ship after being a let go from the road and especially on the soft launch shows, which are available upon the idea of video and video and podcast launch platforms.
24:17
SPEAKER_18: So while I was traveling the country with my child, uh Arizona and California and turning the tires off.
24:25
SPEAKER_18: Uh Monty.
24:27
SPEAKER_18: My key is finger.
24:28
SPEAKER_18: I was actually doing quite a bit of work.
24:33
SPEAKER_18: Preparing for what we needed to do over the course of the two weeks before the launch of the show in July 27.
24:42
SPEAKER_18: So once I got back in town, I started coming in uh to the offices uh here at Center of the American Experiment on that uh on that Monday.
24:51
SPEAKER_18: I'm kind of working to three eight form shift.
24:56
SPEAKER_18: I've actually been coming in earlier and earlier.
24:59
SPEAKER_18: Um, because I just worked better in the early hours because soon enough.
25:02
SPEAKER_18: I'll be getting up at uh at 2.30 to get there.
25:05
SPEAKER_18: So let's go ahead and give you a little bit of a uh of sort of what I experienced when I came here and show you the state of the studio now, and then we'll have uh subsequent videos once we get uh the studio portion uh complete.
25:19
SPEAKER_18: So let's go ahead and just start in the lobby.
25:22
SPEAKER_18: All right, so here we are.
25:24
SPEAKER_18: Center the American experience also I'm not gonna show you how I enter the option.
25:29
SPEAKER_18: Let's go ahead and go to the inside.
25:30
SPEAKER_18: So I'll go ahead and see where we can see.
25:34
SPEAKER_18: Nobody here is in the office.
25:36
SPEAKER_18: Uh currently.
25:37
SPEAKER_18: Currently.
25:38
SPEAKER_18: Again, again.
25:39
SPEAKER_18: I'd like to get here early here for the first time.
25:41
SPEAKER_18: All right, so let's head on over to what is the studio.
25:46
SPEAKER_18: Studio.
25:46
SPEAKER_18: Uh here.
25:47
SPEAKER_18: Uh here.
25:47
SPEAKER_18: I centered the American Experiment.
25:49
SPEAKER_18: I'm recording this on Friday, the 16th.
25:54
SPEAKER_18: I'm lost on lost on days.
25:56
SPEAKER_18: If you follow me online, you'll probably you'll probably notice I haven't been very active.
26:00
SPEAKER_18: Uh, the course of the past week certainly haven't been posting much in terms of videos because I've been here just hammering and working with the equipment, which is why I wanted to share with you exactly what we needed to go and do.
26:14
SPEAKER_18: So I'm standing in what is essentially the studio uh here.
26:17
SPEAKER_18: This is where the various podcasts rationally based on the American Experiment podcast with uh Grace and Catherine is a film.
26:26
SPEAKER_18: And we have to build out one section for the John Justice show.
26:32
SPEAKER_18: So let me give you a little bit of a tour of the disarray that we're currently dealing with.
26:36
SPEAKER_18: Alright, so this is essentially where the production part of the production will go and uh and take place.
26:43
SPEAKER_18: So we've got a lot of uh equipment screwed about currently as we are putting things together.
26:48
SPEAKER_18: Needless to say, um Amazon is uh shipping a lot of cables and a lot of long cables so that we can get rid of this bridge of cables here.
27:00
SPEAKER_18: But this whole section that you see over here will be turned into the set for uh the John Justice show.
27:08
SPEAKER_18: Uh we have two backdrops coming in, we have a sign that's ordered.
27:12
SPEAKER_18: These bookshelves will be moved to the intent is to go and throw these on rollers because rationally based uses these so that we can easily swap out uh the backdrops for this portion of the uh of the studio.
27:25
SPEAKER_18: So this is probably what you're most familiar with.
27:28
SPEAKER_18: So this is the American Experiment main set that Catherine tracing to their uh podcast podcast.
27:36
SPEAKER_18: And I don't know how long they've actually been working on this particular set.
27:41
SPEAKER_18: So it's been a couple of months.
27:43
SPEAKER_18: So we plan on utilizing this for freedom.
27:46
SPEAKER_18: For Freedom Fridays to give you a little bit of a perspective.
27:49
SPEAKER_18: This is going to be the one half of the studio used for the podcast over here will be uh my uh my uh my studio portion on Freedom Fridays is that our guests will be here, Trace and Catherine, Max and AK, and whomever else we invite.
28:07
SPEAKER_18: And then initially we thought was I would be over here too for Friday show, but um because of the way that we are designing the studio and the access that I need to the equipment, I'll probably have to do the show from my portion of the room and will appropriately on Freedom Fraction from Isaac, who is the uh the technical guru here at American Experiments.
28:32
SPEAKER_18: Campbell producing producing the show for a while as we sort of staff up staff with whatever we need in terms of a lot of people.
28:39
SPEAKER_18: And again, probably the most asked question that I've uh been hearing or been asked is what is it we need you need uh to do?
28:46
SPEAKER_18: Well, because we are producing a live live show.
28:51
SPEAKER_18: We can't just do the typical podcast setup, which is what they had been doing.
28:56
SPEAKER_18: So we needed to build out the necessary infrastructure to do a live show along with video and then also podcast to instance here.
29:06
SPEAKER_18: Go ahead and turn around and turn around.
29:08
SPEAKER_18: So this will essentially be sort of my studio workspace, the cameras will be set up here, here, um and we've already uh for that very reason for Hans uh leaving a uh leaving a talk back.
30:02
SPEAKER_18: Although Isaac, you know what I didn't do?
30:03
SPEAKER_18: I didn't bother to write down what the phone number was to share it with everybody.
30:06
SPEAKER_18: Uh oh.
30:07
SPEAKER_18: So alright, next uh next break we take.
30:09
SPEAKER_18: I'm gonna have to go and track that down.
30:10
SPEAKER_18: Unless you win it.
30:11
SPEAKER_18: Well, it was your former number for crying out loud.
30:13
SPEAKER_18: So maybe you can shoot.
30:14
SPEAKER_18: Yeah.
30:14
SPEAKER_18: Yeah, I know.
30:15
SPEAKER_18: Don't worry about it.
30:16
SPEAKER_18: Don't worry about it.
30:16
SPEAKER_18: We'll we'll we'll we'll find it.
30:18
SPEAKER_03: So um I'm calling it Mix LR.
30:20
SPEAKER_18: I don't Isaac, Mix LR, Mixler, Mix LR.
30:23
SPEAKER_18: I like Mix Lr.
30:24
SPEAKER_18: I've always called it Mix LR.
30:25
SPEAKER_18: I could be wrong.
30:26
SPEAKER_18: I used it um, I used it years ago.
30:29
SPEAKER_18: Um, but uh in terms of options for what we wanted to do, it was stunning how limited those options were.
30:38
SPEAKER_18: And we'll get into that when we when I talk about how all of this uh how all of this transpired.
30:43
SPEAKER_18: It is it is the uh John Justice show uh presented uh by uh American Experiment, AmericanExperiment uh.org.
30:50
SPEAKER_18: And uh Hans, at the moment I'm not checking the comments uh on the app, uh so those will be reserved for the talkbacks and the emails.
30:57
SPEAKER_18: Um I might go and look into it later on, depending on um you know how the show grows and and what I have access to and how often people go and and use that.
31:09
SPEAKER_18: But at the moment, I would say uh if you're interested in communicating with the show, uh John.justice at american experiment.org.
31:19
SPEAKER_18: Or as you just did, uh leave us a uh leave us a talk back.
31:22
SPEAKER_18: Uh and uh see I said talk back.
31:26
unknown: Gosh darn it.
31:28
SPEAKER_18: Dang it.
31:29
SPEAKER_18: Showguru's gonna get upset with me.
31:33
SPEAKER_18: Leave us a comment.
31:35
SPEAKER_18: I need a little jar every time I put every time every day every time anytime I say something related to me muscle, I should I should put something in a something in a in a jar.
31:45
SPEAKER_18: Uh let's play another uh another comment at uh rolled in from uh from Scott.
31:53
SPEAKER_15: I got uh looking forward to the new show.
32:05
SPEAKER_15: Hot dog is okay.
32:13
SPEAKER_18: I've never heard that before.
32:15
SPEAKER_18: Isn't that how it should be?
32:16
SPEAKER_18: A hot dog without beans?
32:18
SPEAKER_18: I don't necessarily need beans for my hot dog.
32:20
SPEAKER_18: No, me neither.
32:21
SPEAKER_18: I'm not putting them on my hot dog.
32:23
SPEAKER_18: I'll put them off to the side of my hot dog.
32:25
SPEAKER_18: But I'm not like and then no one's handing me a hot dog, and then uh in no way am I going, that's great.
32:32
SPEAKER_18: Where the hell are the beans?
32:35
SPEAKER_18: I shouldn't give Scott a hard time.
32:37
SPEAKER_18: He'd go and uh and leave us uh leave us a comment.
32:40
SPEAKER_18: So that's uh that is uh that is appreciated.
32:42
SPEAKER_18: So um let me get into to what happened.
32:47
SPEAKER_18: Uh and I don't know what I can and can't say.
32:50
SPEAKER_18: I'll just tell the story.
32:51
SPEAKER_18: I don't know, whatever.
32:51
SPEAKER_18: I mean this is this is what this is the reality, this is what transpired.
32:56
SPEAKER_18: So me muscle.
32:58
SPEAKER_18: A lot of people a lot of people have wondered if um if I was taken off the air because of some for lack of a better way to describe it, some grand conspiracy.
33:13
SPEAKER_18: You know, was this some sort of effort to remove conservative conservative talk?
33:19
SPEAKER_18: Because the truth of the matter is uh the my losing that show, and the whole reason why we're doing this show is because it left this massive void in the Twin Cities when it comes to mourning conservative uh talk, especially live and local talk.
33:38
SPEAKER_18: And yeah, conservative talk, because uh the individual who's uh replaced me at me muscle isn't a very conservative, but uh again, I'm gonna be nice.
33:46
SPEAKER_18: He's had a very long career.
33:48
SPEAKER_18: I'm sure he's an incredibly nice guy.
33:49
SPEAKER_18: And I hope that he's he enjoys doing my former show.
33:52
SPEAKER_18: I am much happier now.
33:53
SPEAKER_18: Can I just say that?
33:54
SPEAKER_18: I am so I'm so much more happier.
33:58
SPEAKER_18: But I don't think there was any grand there was any grand conspiracy.
34:02
SPEAKER_18: Um so uh Me Muscle uh has been going through a series rounds of layoffs for a number of years.
34:11
SPEAKER_18: And it kind of had gone in intervals like every other year.
34:15
SPEAKER_18: It hadn't I feel like people have gotten like a group of individuals have have gotten let go uh every single year, but it just sometimes they're larger, sometimes they're smaller.
34:26
SPEAKER_18: What happened about a month ago was the from what I'm told was the largest layoff.
34:33
SPEAKER_18: I think it I think in radio history for crying out loud.
34:37
SPEAKER_18: So I had no idea that anything was that there was any danger at all.
34:44
SPEAKER_18: The show was doing very well.
34:48
SPEAKER_18: Um if you listened, which I'm sure you did, uh we had a lot of a lot of sponsors, more so than I more so that it was the most that I had had since I took over the show um solo in the wake of the passing of my dear friend Drew in 2022.
35:08
SPEAKER_18: And so I thought that you know what?
35:11
SPEAKER_18: I think I'm I think I'm in pretty good I think I'm in pretty good shape.
35:14
SPEAKER_18: Um there was a remodel going on at Me Muscle, and uh they were shrinking the floor, we had an entire floor, they were basically cutting the floor in half.
35:24
SPEAKER_18: They would the the building would take over and bring in tenants for one half, and then they took the programming and sales department, moved them over to where a performance studio used to be, and then basically came through and remodeled the majority of the of the studios.
35:41
SPEAKER_18: And we talked about this on the other show.
35:44
SPEAKER_18: I had moved from the largest studio that we had, and it was completely understandable, because uh, you know, I was just me.
35:52
SPEAKER_18: It was just me on on that on that station.
35:54
SPEAKER_18: I was the only live uh only live talent.
35:57
SPEAKER_18: So they'd moved me into a smaller studio, which was perfectly fine, and it was brand new.
36:01
SPEAKER_18: I actually helped go about designing that studio.
36:06
SPEAKER_18: They had initially had some plans drawn up, and the the engineers were going in and talking about this is what we're gonna do, we're gonna put this here, we're gonna put this here, and I go, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa.
36:17
SPEAKER_18: None of this is really conducive for what I do on a daily, on a daily basis.
36:21
SPEAKER_18: And and they were all cool.
36:22
SPEAKER_18: They're like, hey, listen, we just somebody else outside of of the Twin Cities uh came up with with these plans.
36:30
SPEAKER_18: So if you have, you know, we have what we're working with.
36:33
SPEAKER_18: If you want us to take what we're working with and build something different, then just let us know.
36:36
SPEAKER_18: And they did.
36:38
SPEAKER_18: We had the most advanced equipment in the building.
36:43
SPEAKER_18: Um they put in a whole camera rig setup, and you know, we were doing some we were doing YouTube streaming.
36:48
SPEAKER_18: That was all done on my own, by the way.
36:50
SPEAKER_18: I wasn't given any instructions whatsoever on what to do with the with the camera system in the studio.
36:57
SPEAKER_18: I had to train myself how to go how to go and and and use it.
37:01
SPEAKER_18: Uh Isaac has certainly done a much better job of lighting this studio.
37:08
SPEAKER_18: You would cringe.
37:09
SPEAKER_18: You should go back, Isaac, when you get a chance, you should go back and watch some of the Freedom Fridays that are posted on uh on my YouTube page and compare because there was like no lighting.
37:18
SPEAKER_18: It was basically the the the extent to which I lit the studio was closing the blinds so that AK Kamara, where he sat, didn't get washed out behind him.
37:26
SPEAKER_18: But even then he looked like the sa he looked the same color as Shogrew in the shot.
37:34
SPEAKER_18: And then the other shots had like a yellow tint on them.
37:37
SPEAKER_18: It wasn't great, but it worked.
37:38
SPEAKER_18: It it was totally worked.
37:39
SPEAKER_18: And I was comparing it to uh to K-Fan because their shots didn't look any better.
37:42
SPEAKER_18: I'm like, well, my shots look as look as as good as uh as as they do.
37:47
SPEAKER_18: So there was a memo that had gone out um I think it was on a Tuesday.
37:54
SPEAKER_18: And we had we we typically would receive these corporate these corporate memos written by the by the big wig Fuddy Duddies at uh that's twice I've used Big Wig Fuddy Duddies on the show today.
38:07
SPEAKER_18: But uh there was a memo that had gone out by the Big Wig Fuddy Duddies, and I didn't read it.
38:11
SPEAKER_18: I I typically I don't.
38:13
SPEAKER_18: Usually they're relating to, you know, some sort of initiative like guaranteed human thought.
38:19
SPEAKER_18: Um I usually give a I you know I peruse the headline and go, Am I interested in any of this?
38:24
SPEAKER_18: My standard is does this impact me in any way, shape, or form in my show?
38:29
SPEAKER_18: And and I didn't.
38:31
SPEAKER_18: Later that day on Tuesday, Samantha Sansavir, uh who works over at K-102 and was a former producer and a good friend of mine, still works at K-102 with uh Chris Carr, who I was actually uh texting with.
38:46
SPEAKER_18: I'm actually looking at a text right now from Chris.
38:48
SPEAKER_18: He had no idea what I was doing this morning, and just reached out and said that he missed me.
38:53
SPEAKER_18: It's been a while, I miss you, dude.
38:55
SPEAKER_18: How are you?
38:56
SPEAKER_18: To which I responded back, I waved past you on the drive-in today.
39:01
SPEAKER_18: And I literally did that.
39:02
SPEAKER_18: I went right past the I rerouted myself because I was coming in earlier, uh earlier hours.
39:08
SPEAKER_18: Um and it routed me past the old me muscle building, which I kind of almost didn't do.
39:16
SPEAKER_18: I was like, you know what, I'm gonna go the other way.
39:18
SPEAKER_18: I'm like, okay, I'm not that spiteful.
39:22
SPEAKER_18: I was that I was actually, I moved lanes to to take a turn on one of the freeways just because I'm like, man, do I really want my first day going back live at Center of the American Experiment and relaunching the show, even if it is a dry run?
39:39
SPEAKER_18: Do I really want to take the same route that I used to go every day?
39:42
SPEAKER_18: And I went, you know what?
39:43
SPEAKER_18: I'm going to.
39:44
SPEAKER_18: I'm treating it as ceremony.
39:46
SPEAKER_18: It's closure.
39:47
SPEAKER_18: Isaac, that's what we're going with.
39:48
SPEAKER_18: It's closure.
39:50
SPEAKER_18: So I waved at the building as I drove on past because I'm about ten minutes further than where I had to go.
39:54
SPEAKER_18: Where I had to go before.
39:55
SPEAKER_18: So Sam had texted me and she had screenshot a portion of the email from the the Fuddy Duddies at Meme Muscle.
40:08
SPEAKER_18: And in it, it was a program restructuring initiative that they were doing.
40:14
SPEAKER_18: This has all gone public, by the way.
40:15
SPEAKER_18: If you were to go look online um and you looked at the news regarding all the layoffs that had uh that had taken place, you'll see that they all referenced this uh they all referenced this memo.
40:27
SPEAKER_18: And I only bring it up now because if the corporate bigwigs want to come after me for talking about it, they can go after everybody else and went and posted this information long before I started talking about it on my new show.
40:37
SPEAKER_18: That's my story, and I'm sticking to it.
40:39
SPEAKER_18: Shoguru agrees.
40:41
SPEAKER_18: Um I gotta get all this out of the way now because I don't want to be doing this with a regular show stars, so I need to dispense with all of the ridiculousness.
40:52
SPEAKER_18: And what she screenshotted in the text was through this new essentially I'm paraphrasing, but through this new initiative um there will be some it was it was funny, and I do I r I I specifically remember this.
41:07
SPEAKER_18: They they prefaced it by saying there will be some new um positions available.
41:15
SPEAKER_18: However, uh we will uh be you know have to uh let go of some of our staff, and as always, it's sad to see our friends go.
41:28
SPEAKER_18: We appreciate the time that they've devoted to me muscle, and we wish them the best.
41:33
SPEAKER_18: So Sam had sent me the sent me this, and I was like, oh well that's concerning, right?
41:39
SPEAKER_18: That's distressing.
41:40
SPEAKER_18: So I went and this was later in the day on that Tuesday.
41:45
SPEAKER_18: So this would have been the 23rd.
41:47
SPEAKER_18: This would have been June 23rd.
41:49
SPEAKER_18: And I I did a look online because typically when these layoffs occur uh you'll see the posts from in you'll see posts online from different media outlets saying, you know, Me Muscle's gone through a a bunch of layoffs again.
42:04
SPEAKER_18: And I didn't see anything at all.
42:06
SPEAKER_18: I was like, oh.
42:08
SPEAKER_18: Okay, well, that's it.
42:10
SPEAKER_18: Okay.
42:10
SPEAKER_18: That's I would have thought that we would have seen some some information regarding this, which kind of had me a little bit concerned because I was like, was the memo premature?
42:21
SPEAKER_18: Or have they not started yet?
42:23
SPEAKER_18: Right.
42:24
SPEAKER_18: So I I really and again, I didn't think anything of it.
42:27
SPEAKER_18: I didn't think there was gonna be any issue for everything that I mentioned before.
42:31
SPEAKER_18: Show was going well, um, the numbers were where they needed to be, uh, and all of it was great.
42:38
SPEAKER_18: So I get in Wednesday morning and uh I went over, and typically a couple times a week, I'll pop in and I'll go say hi to to uh to to Chris over at K102.
42:50
SPEAKER_18: And uh I walked in and just started some small talk, and he I think he jokingly went, You're not gonna bring up the memo?
42:56
SPEAKER_18: And I was like, Well, I was eventually gonna bring up the memo.
42:58
SPEAKER_18: I just didn't want to be the first thing that we talk about as we begin to start our shows on a on a uh on a Wednesday morning.
43:04
SPEAKER_18: You know, he's like, I go, I didn't see and I told him, I said, I didn't see anybody get um I didn't see anybody get let go yesterday.
43:11
SPEAKER_18: And he goes, Oh no, people did.
43:13
SPEAKER_18: And I go, really?
43:14
SPEAKER_18: He's like, oh yeah, a whole bunch of people did.
43:16
SPEAKER_18: And I was like, oh, I guess I looked it too early.
43:19
SPEAKER_18: And I said, Alright, well, maybe it's over.
43:23
SPEAKER_18: Maybe we weathered the storm once again.
43:26
SPEAKER_18: Right.
43:27
SPEAKER_18: Ten years in August, I would have been at the radio station.
43:31
SPEAKER_18: As I'm walking out the door of the K-102 studio, I turn back to him.
43:39
SPEAKER_18: I turn back to him and I go, well, Chris, you know what?
43:41
SPEAKER_18: If anybody shows up, if anybody if any management really, I think I said anybody, because nobody ever came to my studio for right now.
43:49
SPEAKER_18: I said if anybody shows up at my door at nine o'clock, then I know I'm done.
43:56
SPEAKER_18: Totally joking.
43:57
SPEAKER_18: So I go, I want to do the show.
44:00
SPEAKER_18: It's a good show, by the way.
44:02
SPEAKER_18: I was very pro I was very proud of very proud of my show.
44:04
SPEAKER_18: Even though I didn't have Shoguru there.
44:06
SPEAKER_18: And uh I'm not even joking.
44:09
SPEAKER_18: I turned so the show ended uh right the show typically ended right around like 8 56-ish.
44:18
SPEAKER_18: Okay.
44:18
SPEAKER_18: And I'm not even kidding, man.
44:20
SPEAKER_18: I had the cameras were still on, everything was still open, right?
44:25
SPEAKER_18: I turned the mic off.
44:27
SPEAKER_18: I had barely removed my headphones, and the door slowly begins to open.
44:32
SPEAKER_18: And in comes the general manager and the operations manager.
44:36
SPEAKER_18: And I'm I I'm again, this is a hundred percent true.
44:42
SPEAKER_18: I started laughing.
44:44
SPEAKER_18: I just started laughing because I knew why they were there.
44:48
SPEAKER_18: I didn't know the operations manager very well at all.
44:51
SPEAKER_18: I've I never had a full conversation.
44:53
SPEAKER_18: Great, nice guy, nice guy, but I never had a I never had a full conversation with him.
44:58
SPEAKER_18: Um he had he was newly uh put into that role.
45:02
SPEAKER_18: Uh there'd been some restructuring over the course of several months, and um before that he was involved in other radio stations, so there was no real reason for me to to have um any interactions with him.
45:14
SPEAKER_18: Um but the general manager I absolutely knew and I got along and I but and I like them both.
45:19
SPEAKER_18: Um and we had a really we had a we had a really solid relationship.
45:23
SPEAKER_18: He had not been in that position for for very long, and I could see the look of distress on his face.
45:28
SPEAKER_18: I actually felt bad.
45:29
SPEAKER_18: I felt bad for him.
45:31
SPEAKER_18: And I told them, so I so they walk in, I start laughing, and I go, okay, I gotta turn some stuff off.
45:40
SPEAKER_18: And I'm just chuckling.
45:42
SPEAKER_18: Because what are you gonna do?
45:42
SPEAKER_18: You either laugh or cry.
45:44
SPEAKER_18: Right?
45:45
SPEAKER_18: You're in it now.
45:46
SPEAKER_18: You know, that sinking feeling has arrived.
45:48
SPEAKER_18: And I've had that sinking feeling before.
45:50
SPEAKER_18: I hadn't had that sinking feeling and been in that position for going on over 20, 25 years.
45:57
SPEAKER_18: No, 20 years, 20 years.
45:58
SPEAKER_18: We'll give it 20, 22 years.
46:00
unknown: Right?
46:01
SPEAKER_18: Because I lost a bunch of gigs early in my career when I was doing music radio um through no fault of my own, by the way.
46:07
SPEAKER_18: Just want to say that.
46:09
SPEAKER_18: Um again, I could spend the next you know, the rest of the show talking about all those other jobs that I lost.
46:15
SPEAKER_18: But um, you know, you're I'm in it now.
46:17
SPEAKER_18: And so I just said, listen, let me turn everything off.
46:20
SPEAKER_18: I'm gonna start packing, and while I'm packing, you guys can go through your spiel.
46:26
SPEAKER_18: Completely threw them off.
46:29
SPEAKER_18: The operations manager, you could see, had this look of confusion on his face.
46:34
SPEAKER_18: I think that the general manager understood because he knew me and knew my personality more.
46:40
SPEAKER_18: I don't think the operations manager had listened to my show, so he really didn't know me at all to know my sense of humor or personality.
46:46
SPEAKER_18: And he and he so it was almost like I tripped him up because he was ready to roll into this, because this can't be easy.
46:52
SPEAKER_18: It's gotta be hard for individuals to go and let people go.
46:58
SPEAKER_18: That's that can't be an easy thing to I wouldn't want to go and do that, you know.
47:04
SPEAKER_18: And it's like, and he and so then he starts in, it's like, well, as you know, you know, a memo came out earlier this week.
47:10
SPEAKER_18: And I I don't know if I did.
47:13
SPEAKER_18: If I did, it was it, it was probably not I probably didn't uh didn't show it.
47:19
SPEAKER_18: But when he made that comment, I laughed just because that memo had been such a part of the past 36 hours.
47:26
SPEAKER_18: You know, as you know, the memo came out talking about this, and I'm just like, yeah, yeah, yeah.
47:30
SPEAKER_18: And it basically landed on, and uh your services are no longer needed.
47:37
SPEAKER_18: Yeah.
47:38
SPEAKER_18: Now thankfully, uh as a side note, um, there wasn't a lot that I had in because I met I've only been in that studio for like two months.
47:47
SPEAKER_18: So I had taken a lot of stuff, because the other studio had a bunch of my personal items in it.
47:51
SPEAKER_18: And I'd taken a lot of that stuff home and really just moved over to the new studio, the stuff that I uh the stuff that I needed.
47:59
SPEAKER_18: And uh so I didn't have a lot of stuff to go and to go and grab.
48:03
SPEAKER_18: And so I had uh, you know, I said, hey, listen, I can I just can I j I don't want to have to come back.
48:08
SPEAKER_18: Can I just gather up my my stuff and uh and then I'll see myself out.
48:13
SPEAKER_18: And they were cool about it.
48:15
SPEAKER_18: Um they were they left, I don't know, they were gone for just a few minutes, and then the um the HR rep, uh who's her who's fantastic, uh really, really uh real nice, uh real nice woman.
48:28
SPEAKER_18: She came in to sort of watch over me to escort me out.
48:31
SPEAKER_18: She was distraught.
48:33
SPEAKER_18: Everybody was distraught.
48:34
SPEAKER_18: I had salespeople that were reaching out to me.
48:37
SPEAKER_18: I mean, whatever.
48:38
SPEAKER_18: It made me feel good about what I do, you know.
48:41
SPEAKER_18: I mean, I had relationships with these individuals, but everybody was just kind of stunned.
48:46
SPEAKER_18: And so um she walked me out, and then um I had I was texting with some other people and specifically with uh with Sam and uh Samantha.
48:56
SPEAKER_18: And so I said, hey, look, I'm I haven't left yet.
48:58
SPEAKER_18: If you want to come down and uh and say uh and say goodbye, uh and uh and I can see you downstairs.
49:04
SPEAKER_18: And so she she ran downstairs and uh I talked with her for a bit.
49:07
SPEAKER_18: My boss, uh Chad, wasn't there.
49:12
SPEAKER_18: Uh he was out taking a couple of um of vacation days, and so I was out I was downstairs in the lobby uh talking with Sam and Chad called me, and so um Sam went back upstairs to do the show, and I got on the phone with him, and and uh he he just he felt horrible and he said he didn't even know until that morning, like he had just found out.
49:39
SPEAKER_18: And and honestly, I you know, as I told him, and I mean it, I I was I was glad that he wasn't there.
49:45
SPEAKER_18: Um, you know, Chad's a great uh Chad's a great dude and uh easily one of the best program directors that I've ever uh worked for.
49:53
SPEAKER_18: And uh an aspect of working at Me Muscle that I'll that I'll miss.
49:58
SPEAKER_18: Um and and so in that in that case, you know, sort of looking on the on the bright side, and there's been nothing but bright side since all this since all this happened.
50:06
SPEAKER_18: Uh looking on the bright side, I was glad that he wasn't there because that would have been awful for him to have to go and and do.
50:14
SPEAKER_18: Um, especially because I didn't do anything.
50:17
SPEAKER_18: My whole, you know, with with all my jobs, the mentality I always have is, you know, make sure I don't give my bosses anything to complain about.
50:25
SPEAKER_18: You know, do my job to the best of my ability, uh, you know, try to overachieve, but make sure that you know the expectations are met and you don't give your bosses any reason to go and uh and and complain about you.
50:36
SPEAKER_18: And um I felt like I really achieved that.
50:38
SPEAKER_18: I mean, apart from some, I mean you can't be perfect for crying out loud.
50:41
SPEAKER_18: Uh my responses to to certain things online uh often didn't make people happy or talking about certain problems.
50:49
SPEAKER_18: That was a big pet peeve of uh of Chad's was when if we ever dealt with any technical difficulties on the show, he didn't want me talking about it.
50:57
SPEAKER_18: He'd get so mad at me.
50:59
SPEAKER_18: I completely disagreed with him, by the way.
51:01
SPEAKER_18: I've never done it to his face.
51:02
SPEAKER_18: I would now.
51:03
SPEAKER_18: Um I think just just the mere fact that I talked about it on the air was was uh was enough.
51:13
SPEAKER_18: Um because it was funny, we had a technical glitch.
51:17
SPEAKER_18: Oh, it was like um I actually think it was the week prior.
51:22
SPEAKER_18: I completely forgot about this.
51:23
SPEAKER_18: We had just this major, major technical malfunction.
51:28
SPEAKER_18: And as a matter of fact, Isaac, I guarantee my whole mindset I probably would have done it either way, but I in the back of my mind subconsciously, I wanted to do these dry run shows because of what had happened that day.
51:43
SPEAKER_18: Because like we lost access to everything, the computer system completely shut down.
51:48
SPEAKER_18: I couldn't get anything on the on the air.
51:50
SPEAKER_18: I mean, it was a it was a nightmare.
51:52
SPEAKER_18: So we had these huge blocks of time in this morning where the show wasn't on and we couldn't even get anything on.
52:00
SPEAKER_18: With the remodel, I didn't even notice it.
52:04
SPEAKER_18: Typically at a radio station, you have in engineers in charge when things go wrong.
52:11
SPEAKER_18: But me muscle has slowly been working uh working away from that, and everything is taken is is is outside of the local jurisdiction.
52:22
SPEAKER_18: And I didn't even this is this is how locked in I get on my on my show.
52:28
SPEAKER_18: In the new studio, there were um QR code stickers on all the equipment.
52:36
SPEAKER_18: I mean, there must have been 20 stickers that I didn't even pay attention to.
52:41
SPEAKER_18: Every single one of them had a QR code, and every single one of them said, if you have any technical problems, go to this link.
52:49
SPEAKER_18: I didn't even see any of them.
52:50
SPEAKER_18: So when we have the problems, I'm reaching out to individuals within me muscle who I thought could go and handle the the issue, only to be told later that those people don't like they went and helped me, but they only did it because they were being nice.
53:06
SPEAKER_18: Chad had to tell me later on, you know that's not their job anymore, right?
53:10
SPEAKER_18: I'm like, what are you talking about?
53:12
SPEAKER_18: They're an engineer.
53:13
SPEAKER_18: He's like, no, no, no, they don't do that anymore.
53:17
SPEAKER_18: You have to reach the key, you have to reach out to technical support.
53:20
SPEAKER_18: And I'm like, well, how do I do that?
53:22
SPEAKER_03: He's like, what do you mean?
53:23
SPEAKER_03: How do you do that?
53:24
SPEAKER_03: I go, how do I who do I reach out to?
53:26
SPEAKER_03: He's like, it's all over your studio.
53:29
SPEAKER_03: I'm like, what are you talking about?
53:31
SPEAKER_18: He's like, there, there, there, and there.
53:33
SPEAKER_18: I was like, oh, yeah, I didn't see any of that.
53:38
SPEAKER_18: I just thought that they were like little, you know, the stickers that come with equipment when they just put the random stickers on there.
53:44
SPEAKER_18: I didn't know it actually had relevant information.
53:47
SPEAKER_18: So I knowing that Chad didn't want me to complain when we had technical problems.
53:56
SPEAKER_18: I didn't say anything on the air.
53:58
SPEAKER_18: We finally got the show back up and running.
54:00
SPEAKER_18: I didn't say anything on the air.
54:04
SPEAKER_18: But I did post online.
54:06
SPEAKER_18: And all that I posted on X was, hey, we're having some technical difficulties.
54:12
SPEAKER_18: We're trying to go and get things under control.
54:15
SPEAKER_18: So just, you know, keep an eye on my feed and I'll let you know when everything's back up and running.
54:20
SPEAKER_18: So Chad came in, and I mean I could count on the number, I could count on one hand how many times Chad had has had had any sort of issue with me in the 10 years that I was there.
54:31
SPEAKER_18: It's less than that.
54:32
SPEAKER_18: I mean, probably like two or three times.
54:33
SPEAKER_18: This was one of them.
54:34
SPEAKER_03: He came in, he goes, he goes, so you know, why why did you feel the need to go and tell people about our technical problems?
54:46
SPEAKER_03: And I'm like, what are you talking about?
54:48
SPEAKER_03: He's like, yeah, you about the problems you had this morning.
54:50
SPEAKER_03: And I said, well, because people were worried.
54:52
SPEAKER_03: He's like, yeah, but you know, once you get back live, nobody knows.
54:57
SPEAKER_03: So there's no reason to go and bring it up.
54:58
SPEAKER_03: And I was like, I didn't talk about it on the air.
55:01
SPEAKER_18: He's like, no, but you posted it online.
55:03
SPEAKER_18: I was like, oh my gosh.
55:07
SPEAKER_18: Like, you gotta be kidding me.
55:08
SPEAKER_18: You gotta you gotta be you gotta be kidding me.
55:13
SPEAKER_18: I was like, okay, fine.
55:15
SPEAKER_18: I won't do it ever again.
55:16
SPEAKER_03: Because I just hate con I hate confrontation.
55:18
SPEAKER_18: So I'm driving home and I needed to wait to get home.
55:23
SPEAKER_18: I didn't want to call Melinda.
55:24
SPEAKER_18: I didn't want to tell her over the phone what had happened, and I didn't know what was what was going to happen.
55:29
SPEAKER_18: I didn't know what the next step was going to be.
55:31
SPEAKER_18: I had an idea in mind of what I would do if this were to ever occur.
55:39
SPEAKER_18: Every single year that had gone by, the reality of losing the gig became more and more real.
55:47
SPEAKER_18: And I'll get into this coming up in just a moment, uh, just past uh the uh the top of the hour here on the uh John Justice show presented by uh American Experiment.
55:58
SPEAKER_18: AmericanExperiment.org.
56:00
SPEAKER_18: Um I had a plan in mind, uh, in mind about what I wanted to uh to do.
56:05
SPEAKER_18: And I had even thought uh there were times when I had thought about leaving terrestrial radio on my own and going and doing my own thing.
56:12
SPEAKER_18: But to do that, it's difficult.
56:14
SPEAKER_18: You know, you need some capital behind you, you need some uh support, and I didn't have I didn't have the money to venture out on my own.
56:21
SPEAKER_18: So I was uh hoping at the time that I could ride out the job as for as long as I uh for as long as I possibly I possibly could.
56:30
SPEAKER_18: And of course that came to uh to an end a lot quicker than I um than I had anticipated.
56:36
SPEAKER_18: So with the idea that I had in mind that I'll talk about here in uh in just a moment, um I thought, okay, well, maybe there are individuals that want to partner with me to go and to go and make this to make this to make this happen.
56:51
SPEAKER_18: Um and that's exactly that's exactly what transpired.
56:54
SPEAKER_18: Uh the first individuals that I reached out to, and I reached out to several, but the first individuals that I reached out to were the people here at Center of the American Experiment.
57:06
SPEAKER_18: Um I obviously had developed a relationship with uh with Catherine and uh and Grace Um and knew a lot of the other individuals just in the course of the time that I had been um you know doing doing the show.
57:20
SPEAKER_18: And I thought, well, maybe they have an interest in um partnering with me uh to do to do something.
57:31
SPEAKER_18: Because as I mentioned before, there was this massive void that that got left in the Twin Cities for conservative news talk.
57:38
SPEAKER_18: And and and I don't want to sound like I'm I don't want to you know sound braggadocious.
57:43
SPEAKER_18: I I'm not.
57:44
SPEAKER_18: I there wasn't that wasn't by design.
57:45
SPEAKER_18: I didn't do that intentionally.
57:47
SPEAKER_18: It's just in terms of live morning talk on a weekly basis, there's nothing there.
57:53
SPEAKER_18: I certainly knew that as I was coming in here to build the new show, trying to find things to go and listen to, and I ended up just defaulting to talking to myself.
58:02
SPEAKER_18: I'm like, I'll just do a show by myself.
58:05
SPEAKER_18: Hey, John Justice, welcome to your car.
58:07
SPEAKER_18: What are we gonna talk about today?
58:10
SPEAKER_18: I shouldn't have grabbed Shoguru.
58:11
SPEAKER_18: I could have put him in the passenger seat and done a show for done a show for for him.
58:15
SPEAKER_18: So, all right, I'll continue with the story coming up uh here in just a moment.
58:18
SPEAKER_18: We'll also dive into uh some news uh items as well.
58:22
SPEAKER_18: Uh we'll take a look at uh the uh the comment line.
58:25
SPEAKER_18: I'll dig up that uh phone number uh by the way.
58:28
SPEAKER_18: I know I posted it on X.
58:29
SPEAKER_18: I gotta go and find the uh find the post.
58:31
SPEAKER_18: I should have written it, uh should have written it down.
58:33
SPEAKER_18: Uh so before we do that, though, uh let me share with you, for those that haven't had the opportunity, um, here is a handful of social media clips from the American Experiment podcast out every single Tuesday, hosted uh by Catherine Johnson and uh Grace uh Keating.
58:51
SPEAKER_18: And there's been this uh initiative currently to highlight um the difficulties that we're facing here in Minnesota right now, and uh uh a number of different data points that are crucial for individuals to know as we head into the elections later this year.
59:10
SPEAKER_18: Grace and Catherine have certainly been focusing on this on the podcast and in these clips uh as well.
59:16
SPEAKER_18: So uh give a listen to this, and we'll be back in just a moment here on the John Justice show, uh, presented by uh American Experiment.
59:26
SPEAKER_12: What's so sad to me is that nearly 60% of Minnesotans now say that our state is on the wrong track.
59:31
SPEAKER_12: And it has not always been like that.
59:32
SPEAKER_13: Yeah, no.
59:33
SPEAKER_13: I mean in 2020, uh the majority of Minnesotans actually thought we were on the right track.
59:38
SPEAKER_13: So in just what, six short years, people's perspectives on the state have totally be really surprised to know that Minnesota is a below average state economically.
59:47
SPEAKER_12: Yeah, and that has not, again, that has not always been the case.
59:50
SPEAKER_12: If you care about having higher wages, about having more jobs, you should care if your state is doing well economically.
59:56
SPEAKER_12: And for the first time in a long time, we Minnesotans need to wake up and realize how far our education system has fallen to.
1:00:03
SPEAKER_13: Yeah, especially when you think about the fact that students in Mississippi are reading better than students in Minnesota.
1:00:10
SPEAKER_13: I mean, that's a state that people criticize like crazy and love to make fun of in Minnesota.
1:00:15
SPEAKER_13: Yeah.
1:00:16
SPEAKER_13: And they're doing so much better than us.
1:00:17
SPEAKER_12: That's insane.
1:00:18
SPEAKER_12: Well, and then when you think about you know, the kids that graduate in Minnesota not knowing how to read well, not being prepared for life, they're not just competing with other kids in Minnesota.
1:00:25
SPEAKER_12: They're competing at the national level for jobs, for opportunities, for a livelihood.
1:00:29
SPEAKER_12: And they're gonna be behind other states like Minnesota.
1:00:31
SPEAKER_13: Start a small business.
1:00:32
SPEAKER_13: Minnesota might be the worst state in the country to start one in.
1:00:36
SPEAKER_12: Yeah, yeah.
1:00:36
SPEAKER_12: We literally tax small businesses more than any other state in the country.
1:00:41
SPEAKER_12: And by the way, most Minnesotans work for a small business.
1:00:43
SPEAKER_12: This impacts every single person.
1:00:45
SPEAKER_13: Yeah, that's really crazy.
1:00:46
SPEAKER_13: You would think that we would want to encourage entrepreneurship.
1:00:49
SPEAKER_13: We would want to encourage small businesses in this state.
1:00:52
SPEAKER_12: Instead, we make it harder than literally any other.
1:00:54
SPEAKER_12: What's so cool to me about this presentation is that it is literally years in the making.
1:00:58
SPEAKER_12: It is the culmination of all of the work you've been doing since you came on here at American Experiment.
1:01:03
SPEAKER_12: But you trace the timeline back, I mean, 10 plus years ago, even, right?
1:01:06
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, back to 2014.
1:01:08
SPEAKER_00: We go back to the beginning of the CCAP, the child care subsidy fraud.
1:01:13
SPEAKER_00: Everybody remembers that?
1:01:15
SPEAKER_00: $100 million in suitcases going out of the airport.
1:01:18
SPEAKER_00: And that really was the first major industrial-scale fraud we had in Minnesota.
1:01:24
SPEAKER_00: And a lot of the same people who were involved in the child care subsidy scandal were also then involved in the food scandal, the feeding our future free food scandal.
1:01:34
SPEAKER_00: So we traced the evolution of the fraud from child care to free food, and then when the free food fraud was shut down, a lot of the same people again moved into this Medicaid fraud.
1:01:45
SPEAKER_00: And the Medicaid fraud is where the real money has been billions of dollars.
1:01:50
SPEAKER_00: You mentioned nine billion dollars stolen from taxpayers.
1:01:54
SPEAKER_00: Where did the money go?
1:01:56
SPEAKER_00: Some of it went overseas, some of it was shipped off for real estate apartments in Nairobi, Kenya, cryptocurrency, factories in China, just all kinds of weird stuff.
1:02:08
SPEAKER_00: A lot of luxury goods, fancy cars, expensive handbags, shoes.
1:02:13
SPEAKER_00: So we had a lot of it just spent on consumer goods and trips to Las Vegas, but then we also traced some of it back to the politicians, the people who voted for this stuff, the people who enabled the fraud to begin with.
1:02:26
SPEAKER_00: So a lot of the most prominent politicians in Minnesota, it turns out, took campaign donations from individuals who are later convicted in these frauds.
1:02:35
SPEAKER_00: So we trace the money from the taxpayer through the programs, and then back to the politicians in the form of campaign donations.
1:04:12
SPEAKER_18: Subscribe to the podcast.
1:04:14
SPEAKER_18: Also, uh you can uh watch the show via uh YouTube, uh, Instagram, Facebook, and multiple accounts.
1:04:22
SPEAKER_18: So you can uh certainly uh watch the show on the Center of the American Experiment, uh YouTube, uh Instagram, Facebook pages, uh, but also on my personal ones as well.
1:04:33
SPEAKER_18: Uh the idea was if anybody were to ask me where can I go and listen and check out the show, I wanted the ability to say, well, you can do that anywhere.
1:04:45
SPEAKER_18: Uh the most important component, at least just to start as we build on the the uh the video of the show, was to make sure that you could listen just as easily as you did before, but without the uh terrestrial radio signal.
1:05:00
SPEAKER_18: And it took some doing to make that happen.
1:05:05
SPEAKER_18: We had a we had a comment that was going around uh the uh the group that's kind of been um helping with all of this.
1:05:14
SPEAKER_18: So there's a handful of us.
1:05:15
SPEAKER_18: So it's myself, uh Isaac.
1:05:16
SPEAKER_18: And Isaac, what's your what's your official role here at Center of the American Experiment?
1:05:21
SPEAKER_16: I am the you know, that's a good question.
1:05:23
SPEAKER_16: I even know off the top of my head.
1:05:25
SPEAKER_18: Do you have a title?
1:05:26
SPEAKER_16: Yeah, I do.
1:05:28
SPEAKER_16: What what is your one?
1:05:28
SPEAKER_16: I'm basically the producer of any kind of show we have going on around here.
1:05:32
SPEAKER_16: Yeah.
1:05:32
SPEAKER_16: So that's why he's here joining me now.
1:05:34
SPEAKER_18: Uh so Isaac has certainly been a part of this and uh uh a crucial component in terms of the technical aspects of uh of what we're doing on the on the show.
1:05:44
SPEAKER_18: But also um uh directly involved has been uh Grace, along with Bill Walsh, as part of the communications group here at Center of the American Experiment, and uh and Catherine uh Johnson as well, um, along with John Ahinder Rocker and uh everybody who's sort of been involved behind the scenes in a number of of different aspects.
1:06:01
SPEAKER_18: If you happen to be watching uh the video of these dry run shows, um you can see the set that we've uh that we've built.
1:06:08
SPEAKER_18: Uh we do have a sign coming in, looking forward to getting the sign.
1:06:10
SPEAKER_18: I know it's done.
1:06:11
SPEAKER_18: Hopefully it'll be uh shipped in the next uh week or so so as I was mentioning in um uh in in an earlier part of the show the idea that I had had were to uh were I to ever lose my job would be to venture out on my own.
1:06:26
SPEAKER_18: You know spent almost a decade here building up uh an audience uh through the various iterations of the Me Muscle show and you know I thought okay if I lost my gig I want to be able to continue to do what I was what what I was doing I'll just go and do it on my own.
1:06:42
SPEAKER_18: But as I said, you know to to do that requires you know to have some some capital behind you to be able to sustain yourself while you build the audience and bring out various ways um you know figure out ways to bring in the revenue and so I decided well you know what I've developed these amazing relationships with with people here in Minnesota and maybe there's an opportunity for uh me to go and and uh and partner up and as I mentioned uh Center of the American Experiment was one of the first groups I reached out to and I talked with uh several other outlets I talked with other radio stations and they understood the vision that I had for the show uh supported that vision and within um a short a really short period of time we were able to put something together and to to move forward and within a matter of less than two weeks really starting from from scratch uh we were able to put together um the show to bring it to you live to bring the video live and um I cannot thank um everybody here at Center of the American Experiment enough for all of their uh all the efforts uh and just a fantastic group to work for and it's a completely different dynamic for me you know working within regular radio especially being a conservative news talk show host um it's not a hard thing so this isn't uh oh whoa was me but you're not necessarily working with individuals who agree with your commentary or even agree with what you do it's not like you're a music host where well I'm not a country music fan but I understand it no I mean if you're a conservative especially now in 2026 if you're a conservative news talk show host uh you're going to have with how politicized and divided everybody is you're gonna have individuals even within a friendly environment who adamantly disagree with your commentary and the fact that you're even doing it on the air so working here with Center of the American experiment has just been a it's been so refreshing to to put it to put it bluntly and encouraging and encouraging.
1:09:05
SPEAKER_18: You know I think it's important to make sure that you step out of your comfort zones.
1:09:09
SPEAKER_18: You don't want to get locked into any sort of bubbles in life you want to be able to hear opposing views.
1:09:17
SPEAKER_18: We have a comment line to continue to do that 612 584 4565.
1:09:22
SPEAKER_18: Put it on your speed dial do we still do speed dial Isaac is that even still a thing no I didn't think so I think I just I think I really aged I had a birthday over the course of the past month.
1:09:33
SPEAKER_18: But um yeah I think I aged myself with that one you don't do speed dial anymore.
1:09:38
SPEAKER_18: Lock it in your phone do it there.
1:09:41
SPEAKER_18: We used to do the whole me muscle thing of uh set your set your presets right set your phone preset if you can actually do that 612 584 4565 you can leave just uh just like we did before a 30 second message and we'll uh we'll share those back on the show that whole by the way I just this is why I was just telling Isaac as we were playing some of the clips from the American Experiment podcast uh I was just telling Isaac that the that again one of I had a number of different reasons why I wanted to do these to do these dry run shows.
1:10:12
SPEAKER_18: The biggest one though was so that I could get all of this out of my system because I didn't want to hit I didn't want to go on with everybody knowing how to listen after the announcement on Saturday at the America 250 block party.
1:10:27
SPEAKER_18: I didn't want to go on the air on Monday and then be in the position that I am now where we're about an hour you know and 15 minutes into the show and I've gotten into no material whatsoever.
1:10:37
SPEAKER_18: So I figured let me just clear it just clear the air so that way on Monday when I go and do the show I can say hey if you want to know the backstory of everything that happened go listen to the podcast or go watch the YouTube video on the American Experiment YouTube page or on the John Justice uh YouTube uh YouTube page you can go and uh and uh and find it find it there so uh you know we were able to go and put this together and we were testing right up until the last minute the if you're watching the video the panel's behind us you guys just wrapped this up yesterday um I hadn't even seen the completed set until I got in this morning at right around uh 440 which I wonder if Isaac I wonder if in my relatively short period of time here if I've broken the record for um being um earliest through the doors of American experiment since they've been uh opened since I arrived here at 440.
1:11:36
SPEAKER_18: It would not surprise me wonder if I can it was certainly the earliest I've ever gotten here if I can roll if I can wanna I wonder if I can uh if I can uh grab onto that title I want a plaque for the office that I don't have I want a plaque we can make that happen I don't need an office by the way although there is a lot we really have built this whole thing up it was funny because you guys weren't gonna go all the way you almost went all the way to the roof you weren't you were only gonna go you can't see it here but initially we were just gonna put the put the new tiles up with their which are all textured and really cool and we got the lights and all that uh I know this is great for the podcast listeners but what why did you guys decide to go higher?
1:12:12
SPEAKER_18: You can do a rhythm or something?
1:12:14
SPEAKER_16: Yeah we thought it looked nice.
1:12:15
SPEAKER_16: Okay.
1:12:16
SPEAKER_16: You know we got to keep you know not just the aesthetic for the viewer but for us around here too.
1:12:21
SPEAKER_18: The wholesale change in working from uh working in radio and this is not just with me muscle okay okay this is with all of my radio career but the the dramatic difference between um being told over and over again oh no you can't have that oh no we can't do that.
1:12:43
SPEAKER_18: I mean we could look into it but that's going to be really hard.
1:12:46
SPEAKER_18: Two what's happened here is yeah we can do that.
1:12:50
SPEAKER_18: Sure, what do you need?
1:12:51
SPEAKER_18: Just tell us I was going to you guys saying if you guys have other options we don't need to no no no we'll do it we'll take care of it's fine.
1:12:58
SPEAKER_18: It's just been so eye-opening you know what though everything happens for a reason because you know you come into an environment like this and what I'm doing with this open attitude and this willingness to go and make everything the best that it could possibly be I mean you could really go and take advantage of a company like this I'm very like it just it's one of those moments where I'm like I'm so so thankful that I I you know I've been through what I've been through because there's a there's a synergy that's really taken place since I since I started here.
1:13:34
SPEAKER_18: So uh so yeah so I reached out to them I've been talking to uh two other people and um it was clear that Center of the American Experiment uh again embraced the vision of what I had and the ability to go and uh and get it done and so here we are Monday through Friday 6 until uh 9 a.m you can uh you can listen to the show again live if you go to the americanexperiment.org website or download the MixLr uh app and uh you can listen to it there as well and then like I said you can watch the show live on multiple on multiple platforms and email me uh justice uh john dot justice and that's J-O-N john dot justice at americanexperiment uh dot org uh let's get into some of the news um because I do have a stack here I have done some notes and I do want to dive into some material and and again um work through a couple of different stories that will be really outdated by the time I get to Monday's show.
1:14:36
SPEAKER_18: But I certainly wanted to cover because just a lot a lot has transpired over the course of the past uh past month.
1:14:44
SPEAKER_18: And then I do want to go and talk a bit about um my travels uh with my son Kyle because it relates um to not only the events um that took place on Saturday with the America 250 um block party at the uh at the Capitol but also some news items uh news items as well so this was uh released this morning on uh Thursday the U.S.
1:15:05
SPEAKER_18: military did conduct its twelfth night of strikes against Iran targeting military assets and infrastructure to degrade Iran's ability to threaten the civilian um mariners and commercial vessels in the Strait of Ormuz, Iran has responded by targeting energy infrastructure, desalinization plants and escalating tensions threatening global economic disruption despite uh diplomatic efforts both sides remain entrenched in the disputes with Iran asserting its right to manage the strait uh and the U.S.
1:15:37
SPEAKER_18: vowing to protect the shipping lanes and again that's the summary courtesy of our uh AI uh overlords on uh this show that is not guaranteed uh human it's stunning to me how quickly the media has gotten bored with the war uh I have a story here that was actually in my stack for uh the show that would have taken place had I not been laid off the day before Navy SEAL turned a senator has grim prediction about Iran's end game.
1:16:13
SPEAKER_18: Uh this is a murderous regime that doesn't want a deal they want you and your family and all of us to be killed.
1:16:21
SPEAKER_18: And it's interesting to me to look back on statements like this because rarely does anybody ever go and and do this.
1:16:28
SPEAKER_18: I think I've made this analogy before but um within pop culture uh and I do pop culture uh podcasts my Star Wars podcast which I haven't done in a while just because I've been obviously focused on focused on this but you know there's always speculation about when trailers come out and what the new stories are going to be and and a lot of comments around leaks.
1:16:49
SPEAKER_18: Rarely does anybody ever go back to that previous commentary and speculation to go and track just how off everybody was in their commentary.
1:16:58
SPEAKER_18: So it's interesting that I've been sort of provided this opportunity with these stories to do just that because again this goes back to about a month ago Senator Tim Sheehy mincing no words when weighing in on Trump and the administration's ongoing negotiations with Iran.
1:17:12
SPEAKER_18: He was talking with Fox News that week and delivered a scorching message about Tehran's regime without diplomatic fluff.
1:17:20
SPEAKER_18: Shehee who fought in both the Iraq and Afghanistan wars uh isn't buying the Muleah's charm offensive for a single second.
1:17:29
SPEAKER_18: He declared flatly this is a murderous regime that doesn't want a deal they don't want six dollar gas uh they don't want six dollar gasoline they don't want the straits to be open they want you and your family and all of us to be killed Shi's assessment was clear Iran isn't negotiating its stalling it's using a classic rope dope designed to run out the clock on Trump's presidency.
1:17:53
SPEAKER_18: Shihe warned at the time they want to buy time they want to buy as much time as they can because President Trump's the only president who's ever actually gone after them head to head and that's not to say that this whole situation regarding Iran has been flawless it obviously hasn't I think there's a commentary and a thought from a lot of people and I've heard this echoed in my household you know why don't we just go in and end it already?
1:18:20
SPEAKER_18: Why don't we just go in and take them all out?
1:18:22
SPEAKER_18: Well it's not that easy you've got a country and a regime that has built up an infrastructure solely on conducting acts of war either through their own personal efforts or through proxy groups as led by the N the the NRG the NRGC and on top of that you have this desire and it is a lofty desire and it's the correct one to make sure that if there is regime change is taking place within within Iran and that they want to allow the people to rise up and take back their country but they just have not been able to do that.
1:19:09
SPEAKER_18: And you cannot decimate the infrastructure and therefore the regime without decimating the infrastructure which ultimately goes and hurts the people of Iran so Trump has been doing everything that he can in tackling this issue and may have made a mistake in the beginning of not framing further how protracted all of this could end up becoming I know a lot of people get sick and tired of hearing you know Trump say we have a deal, we have a deal they move forward the deal and Iran breaks the deal but there's really no way to get around that.
1:19:47
SPEAKER_18: Now you can say stop saying there's a deal until there's a deal but they believe they have a deal so they're doing the right thing and letting the public know.
1:19:55
SPEAKER_18: But the public needs to be aware that Iran has no interest in a deal as Sheehe was was uh was laying out in these comments that he made to Fox News a month ago.
1:20:06
SPEAKER_18: The senator also torched the idea of Qatar do you say cutter or Qatar?
1:20:12
SPEAKER_18: Do you care at all Isaac Qatar you say Qatar you say Qatar I say Qatar you're saying that with a level of authority I I that's because I have it okay so you do replace you can point to that authority or it's just you just say you're just you are just staunchly in the Qatar camp.
1:20:28
SPEAKER_03: 100% You know and I'm just gonna go with Qatar then love that.
1:20:30
SPEAKER_18: Okay thank you and Pakistan I think you can only say that the one way you can say Pakistan but that doesn't really serving as a neutral middleman in any deal Qatar's am I saying that right Qatar?
1:20:45
SPEAKER_18: Yeah Qatar um Qatar's been laundering money for terrorist organizations for decades he said bluntly the Pakistanis through the ISI funded insurgencies against us and Hid bin Laden.
1:20:58
SPEAKER_18: He asserted that America's real allies remain Israel, the UAE and Saudi Arabia full stop.
1:21:04
SPEAKER_18: When you look at who's been on our side through thick and thin, no matter what throughout the region for decades, it's been Israel, the UAE, and of course Saudi Arabia.
1:21:13
SPEAKER_18: She he also pushed back on those who worried about long-term foreign entanglements.
1:21:17
SPEAKER_18: What's worse than a forever war in the Middle East is a forever war right here on our streets just down the road 9-11.
1:21:24
SPEAKER_18: He's been consistent on this for months and back in January She He compared the Iranian regime to taking out a hobo on LSD with a knife in the street I did not have hobo on LSD on this morning's John Justice show presented by American Experiment on my bingo card.
1:21:45
SPEAKER_18: A hobo on LSD is that a happy hobo or probably just a confused hobo does anybody even use hobo anymore?
1:21:53
SPEAKER_18: Are there hobo are there hobos in Qatar?
1:21:58
SPEAKER_18: Hobo conjures up that image that I had as a that more relevant to me less relevant to uh to Isaac of the of the guy walking the streets he's got a stick and then he's got the the uh the the red and white checkered I don't know what do you it's like a bandana.
1:22:15
SPEAKER_18: Bandana there you go you know with the stuff in it right and he's carrying it that's what that's what when I see hobo that's the image that I have in my in my mind he called on the U.S.
1:22:24
SPEAKER_18: to help Iran's own people take out the trash and again it's interesting that this was a few weeks back and in the interim since uh since these words from Shehi, you know, Trump has uh gone and renewed uh the efforts against Iran I remember during the Iraq war and how there was a lot of coverage for a long period of time when it came to I another way to phrase this and probably a more succinct way to phrase this is the media held an interest in the war in Iraq for much much longer and I find it um incredibly indicative of the times and the news cycle of how quickly now the media has gotten bored with the war in Iran.
1:23:11
SPEAKER_18: I mean we have been conducting again um as of last night it was the 12th night of our armed forces our brave men and women going in and trying to cripple the infrastructure of the Iranian regime President Donald Trump warned earlier yesterday that the U.S.
1:23:29
SPEAKER_18: will destroy one bridge or power plant each time Iran shoots at a ship in the in the strait and my understanding of this because again that commentary that people have had has been well why is he waiting?
1:23:45
SPEAKER_18: Destroy the bridges destroy the power plants well that again ends up hurting the good people of Iran that were ultimately trying to go and help themselves to liberate themselves.
1:23:59
SPEAKER_18: And so the attempt here would be to destroy the bridge or a power plant to put the Iranian regime in a position where they want to negotiate so we can get what we want to make sure that they can't continue to wage their war efforts while minimizing the damage to the people of Iran.
1:24:18
SPEAKER_18: You weaken you destroy bridges you weaken power plants and you're gonna put internal pressure on Iran but there's a balancing act here because you can destroy all this stuff the Iranian people rate you know rise up and take back their country but then what are they left with?
1:24:33
SPEAKER_18: And we need to leave them with something because I think we can all agree for the most part we don't want to get involved in nation building with any of this.
1:24:42
SPEAKER_18: So this is the balancing act and I am in support of the efforts in the balancing act you know and the administration officials they go out and articulate this but uh going back to what I mentioned before and the time that I had uh to sort of disengage from everything I was really stunned at how easy it was when you finally disengage to be completely removed from the news because I you know I I I assumed wrongly I assumed that okay I don't have a job right now I'm working on a new gig I knew on my vacation that I had you know I had secured the future of the John Justice show and subsequently the future of my of my family being able to continue to to support them as a as a father um and uh and a husband so which was a a blessing beyond measure especially when you consider the number of individuals that me muscle let go I mean that it was again the largest layoffs in in radio history and most individuals were not as blessed as as I was so I you know I really was grateful that during this time that I had on the road for for 10 days with uh with Kyle where we literally burned the wheels off of Monty mykea my Kia Stinger that I was able to disengage from the news for a while.
1:26:11
SPEAKER_18: But as I I I thought well I'm not gonna pay attention I'm not gonna listen to any conservative talk I'm not gonna listen to the news but I bet that I'll just catch things right as I'm going about my daily business.
1:26:23
SPEAKER_18: I'm sure that I'll tune in maybe I'll when we get to a hotel I'll turn on Fox News.
1:26:27
SPEAKER_18: I didn't and you know what it was really really easy to not be locked in or engaged in anything that was that was going on.
1:26:37
SPEAKER_18: And so I I say all that again to underscore what's happening with this administration, how the left has been able to spin the efforts how the media has gotten bored because once I re-engaged I was shocked that we continued to go and drop bombs and put our our armed forces in harm's way and we've lost some lives tragically and prayers go out to those individuals who've given the the ultimate the ultimate sacrifice but to the average individual who's not you know paying attention to what's going on they may not even be aware of what's of what's happening uh now which is funny because in the story and the reason I bring it up is says the unpopular war threatens fur of further worldwide economic disruption and higher fuel prices ahead of the U.S.
1:27:20
SPEAKER_18: midterms elections this fall now that's certainly relevant to people who are paying attention I'm not talking about the broken and brainwash it doesn't matter they're just against anything that Trump does they're not willing to go and look or listen to any of the commentary that I'm sharing with you on this on this uh show.
1:27:35
SPEAKER_18: No, these are the individuals that are engaged that have been anticipating to uh you know to listen to the show um again but I chuckled at the unpopular war reference because is there a popular war beyond ones that have star before it I don't think so right I mean you could be like I'm pro the efforts of what we're doing in Iran But I wouldn't say that I'm sitting back going, yay, we're we're at war with Iran.
1:28:05
SPEAKER_18: Yay! Let's I mean, I suppose there are people that are like that, but for the most part, that's not normal behavior.
1:28:11
SPEAKER_18: And again, the you know, if we want to talk about popular wars, maybe not so much anymore, you know, those star wars typically can be.
1:28:17
SPEAKER_18: So, you know, shout out to Shoguru over here.
1:28:20
SPEAKER_18: He's the brother, like I mentioned, if you didn't catch it earlier, he's the brother of Grogu.
1:28:26
SPEAKER_18: But he's Shoguru.
1:28:27
unknown: Yeah.
1:28:28
SPEAKER_18: It's a very happy fellow.
1:28:30
SPEAKER_18: Any aggression against Iran, including our infrastructure, will compel a powerful and decisive response.
1:28:36
SPEAKER_18: This is what Trump posted yesterday on uh on X.
1:28:38
SPEAKER_18: With negotiations largely stalled, both sides have sought to leverage by targeting civilian infrastructure.
1:28:44
SPEAKER_18: Iran has responded to uh U.S.
1:28:46
SPEAKER_18: attacks by targeting energy uh infrastructure, desalinization plants that provide drinking water in parched neighboring Gulf uh countries.
1:28:56
SPEAKER_18: And again, as you're as you're listening to this via the podcast or watching the video, we're recording this on Thursday.
1:29:03
SPEAKER_18: So uh, you know, anything can anything's possible and could happen between now and now and then.
1:29:08
SPEAKER_18: But my sense is that these ongoing military strikes are going to continue.
1:29:13
SPEAKER_18: And hopefully one of these, you know, one of these days, one of these strikes is going to do enough to actually legitimately bring um the issue to a head for that leadership in uh in Iran, or we just break them to the point where the people of Iran are able to go and rise up and to take back their country, which has been the goal, the goal all along.
1:29:38
SPEAKER_18: All right, coming up in just a moment, I do want to talk a little bit about my road trip because I think we've all known about the America 250 celebrations, right?
1:29:47
SPEAKER_18: The 4th of July just just went by.
1:29:49
SPEAKER_18: And I was wondering, too, because we had it's coming up, again, thinking of when you're listening to this, the America 250 block party at the state capitol on uh on Saturday.
1:30:01
SPEAKER_18: Um living here in Minnesota, like America 250, you wouldn't even know, kind of going back to my previous commentary, you wouldn't even really know that it was um taking place unless you were you know listening to the news outlets.
1:30:19
SPEAKER_18: My point is when you're out in the wild, you're not seeing anything relating to America 250.
1:30:26
SPEAKER_18: When I went and got on the road with my son Kyle, it was everywhere.
1:30:29
SPEAKER_18: I was like at first I thought it was an anomaly, and then I realized, oh, this is not an anomaly.
1:30:37
SPEAKER_18: The rest of the country is all in on this America 250 celebration.
1:30:43
SPEAKER_18: I mean, and I was as well, don't misunderstand, but in terms of any sort of visual indication here in Minnesota, it's been completely, completely absent to the point where I was watching the Fourth of July celebrations, which were spectacular at my mom's house in uh in Arizona.
1:31:01
SPEAKER_18: Her home is actually positioned in a place in Chino Valley, which is just outside of Prescott, where she's kind of on an incline.
1:31:08
SPEAKER_18: She's not on a mountain, but just because of the geography, you can see out over all of um over all of Prescott.
1:31:16
SPEAKER_18: And we were able to watch multiple fireworks shows uh going out, uh going off underneath um the uh the stars of the desert there in uh in Arizona.
1:31:27
SPEAKER_18: It was really, really amazing.
1:31:29
SPEAKER_18: But I had me wondering, you know, well, well there I I know we're doing the America 250 block party, but are there other celebrations going on for the remainder of the year, or is the Fourth of July sort of the end of it?
1:31:40
SPEAKER_18: And that's not the case at all.
1:31:42
SPEAKER_18: As I discovered being outside the state of Minnesota on my on my road trip.
1:31:48
SPEAKER_18: So I want to uh share with you some details about that.
1:31:50
SPEAKER_18: Plus, I want to get into some of the recent stories.
1:31:53
SPEAKER_18: I got a couple here from Alpha News.
1:31:55
SPEAKER_18: An update on the uh idiot who went and keyed the uh Tesla.
1:32:00
SPEAKER_18: Um yeah, he uh he's making more money than he did before, the double standard on full display.
1:32:06
SPEAKER_18: Uh Minnesota's most famous DFL and Nicole Mitchell is back in the news.
1:32:11
SPEAKER_18: She's plotting a uh comeback.
1:32:13
SPEAKER_18: I'll give you details uh on that.
1:32:15
SPEAKER_18: And we will talk about the uh the issue.
1:32:18
SPEAKER_18: On July 1st, the news broke that a three-person panel containing Governor Tim Walls and Attorney General Keith Ellison had pardoned a man who'd been convicted of repeatedly raping a 10-year-old girl, apparently to help him avoid deportation and remain in Minnesota.
1:32:37
SPEAKER_18: On July 10th, it was announced that the federal government had deported the man, in which Governor uh Dim Walls ended up doubling down on his desire to pardon him.
1:32:49
SPEAKER_18: I want to get into that story and uh share uh my thoughts with uh with you as well.
1:32:55
SPEAKER_18: And again, uh make sure that you lock it into your phone.
1:32:57
SPEAKER_18: We have a new comment line, 612-584-4565, 612-584-4565, and you can email me, john.justice at AmericanExperiment.org.
1:33:11
SPEAKER_18: I want to share with you now, if you don't follow me on social media, here is a uh a handful of uh commentary posted over the course of the past a month on various uh social media platforms, and you can find me John J-O-N uh Justice.
1:33:25
SPEAKER_18: Uh here you'll hear about some of the latest regarding the paid family medical leave.
1:33:30
SPEAKER_18: And I have some stories to share with you on the next uh podcast, which would be Friday's show.
1:33:36
SPEAKER_18: Uh also commentary regarding uh Elon Musk and the controversy after he became a trillionaire.
1:33:42
SPEAKER_18: So enjoy um this short compilation of some of my social media commentary, and we'll be back in just a moment here on the John Justice show presented by American Experiment.
1:33:55
SPEAKER_18: Paid family medical leave here in Minnesota is about to start costing you and me and our employers more money for the uninitiated.
1:34:05
SPEAKER_18: The Democrats passed paid family medical leave a number of years ago when they had the trifecta.
1:34:11
SPEAKER_18: It is a redistribution of wealth plan where an individual can simply make up an excuse for taking 20 paid weeks off from work and your employer can do nothing about it.
1:34:22
SPEAKER_18: As a matter of fact, again, they have to pay into it, and I have to pay into it, and you have to pay into it, even if we never go and take that time off.
1:34:31
SPEAKER_18: I certainly would never do that.
1:34:32
SPEAKER_18: I would never impose that type of burden on my employer, but unfortunately, a lot of people are.
1:34:39
SPEAKER_18: Now, here's the kicker.
1:34:41
SPEAKER_18: The state of Minnesota had been public about the enrollment numbers up until about April, in fact, the end of April.
1:34:50
SPEAKER_18: John Phelan at Center of the American Experiment pointed out that they've stopped reporting the employment numbers, which is distressing because as John Phelan from Center of the American Experiment and AmericanExperiment.org pointed out, if the trend continued of the number of individuals who were taking that time off through paid family medical leave, it was already running at 32% above forecast, which means that that money is gonna run out.
1:35:20
SPEAKER_18: You see, I'm paying into it and you're paying into it, but a lot of us aren't taking that time off.
1:35:25
SPEAKER_18: But so many people are taking that time off that that 0.88% payroll tax split between me and my employer and you and your employer, it's not gonna be enough to cover the number of individuals who are taking time off, which means that they're going to probably end up having to increase that payroll tax, which means that you and me and our employers are gonna have to pay even more money out of our hard-earned paychecks, so that other individuals can lie and take a whole bunch of time off because they're lazy and they're taking advantage of the program, and this is what the Democrats wanted all along: a redistribution of wealth.
1:36:09
SPEAKER_18: It's disgusting, and I'll be talking about it, and I want to hear from you.
1:36:13
SPEAKER_18: Democrats, like you're about to watch, will decide the future of the country if the people they vote for ever get power again.
1:36:22
SPEAKER_18: Just when I think the leftists can't get any more ridiculous.
1:36:26
SPEAKER_18: I see a video like this.
1:36:27
SPEAKER_18: Watch.
1:36:35
SPEAKER_14: Yeah, if you're about you and left becoming a billionaire like ballot, I have to report fine.
1:36:40
SPEAKER_14: Um, I like that.
1:37:14
SPEAKER_14: Um we have my privilege and we're gonna do something about it, and now we're like all putting our money um.
1:37:34
SPEAKER_18: That woman is the exact reason about how communists rise to power, how socialism ends up taking hold.
1:37:43
SPEAKER_18: Because the party that she supports has convinced her through their propaganda that, hey, if you only give us your money, if you give us your money and give all the money to the candidates, we'll go ahead and make up for it.
1:37:55
SPEAKER_18: We'll support your mediocre lifestyle style, and we'll keep you safe from those evil Republicans.
1:38:01
SPEAKER_18: That's what that's about.
1:38:03
SPEAKER_18: They'll tax them to the teeth, and she will gladly be taxed to the teeth, while social services, which the country can't afford, taken from wealthier individuals who work hard who worked hard for that money, as the wealth is redistributed, will go and support her mediocre lifestyle.
1:38:21
SPEAKER_18: She'll never be able to achieve.
1:38:23
SPEAKER_18: Her daughter will be going to government schools and government-funded colleges, while she lives a really incredibly mediocre lifestyle with no opportunity for upward mobility because the government is taking all of their money while they provide them a bunch of free social services that keep them beholden to voting for Democrats.
1:38:43
SPEAKER_18: It's kind of terrifying.
1:38:45
SPEAKER_18: Check out my weekly radio show.
1:38:57
unknown: Okay, we're all right here.
1:39:04
SPEAKER_17: But if I was I was more referring to the previous comment that we had.
1:39:19
SPEAKER_17: Um regarding the fact that it wasn't eating more having a hot dog without me.
1:39:31
SPEAKER_02: I don't I don't doubt me on a hot dog.
1:39:38
SPEAKER_18: Are you a uh ketchup uh on a hot dog?
1:39:45
SPEAKER_18: Yeah, I mean what do you still let's I mean let me phrase it a different way.
1:39:50
SPEAKER_18: Uh you have a hot dog.
1:39:51
SPEAKER_18: You have your acuta bulk.
1:39:53
SPEAKER_18: You have mustache people.
1:40:30
SPEAKER_17: Um, but I think there is something more about ketchup.
1:40:47
SPEAKER_02: We'll go with that.
1:40:48
SPEAKER_02: I appreciate you asking the question.
1:40:51
SPEAKER_02: That's a good one.
1:40:52
SPEAKER_02: It's unfortunate that people aren't listening live so they can actually go and leave a complete talk.
1:40:58
SPEAKER_18: But I do have something to play for you here on the John Justice show presented by American Experiment.
1:41:04
SPEAKER_18: Again, the phone number, if you want to leave a comment as the show goes uh live on Monday, uh starting at uh 6 a.m., you'll be able to, because again, you'll be watching or listening to the uh to the podcast, as this will be posted after the announcement is made on Saturday at the America 250 uh blog party.
1:41:22
SPEAKER_18: Um you can listen via the AmericanExperiment.org uh website.
1:41:27
SPEAKER_18: And uh also uh you can uh go and download the Mix L R M-I-X-L-R.
1:41:32
SPEAKER_18: It's free.
1:41:33
SPEAKER_18: Head on into your app store.
1:41:34
SPEAKER_18: You got rid of the Mi Muscle app.
1:41:39
SPEAKER_18: Right?
1:41:39
SPEAKER_18: You got rid of that app.
1:41:40
SPEAKER_18: I know a lot of people did because they told me on X.
1:41:43
SPEAKER_18: You got rid of the Mi Muscle app, so replace it with the Mix L R app.
1:41:46
SPEAKER_18: We have our own, we have our own um account there, and you can find the John Justice show presented by American Experiment uh right there on the uh Mix LR app.
1:41:59
SPEAKER_01: Hey, Eric from Tennessee.
1:42:01
SPEAKER_01: Really glad this is back in operation.
1:42:03
SPEAKER_01: Uh looking forward to the showing up on Saturday.
1:42:07
SPEAKER_18: Yeah, me too.
1:42:08
SPEAKER_18: I am uh I'm uh really looking forward to the uh to the event.
1:42:11
SPEAKER_18: I've been given a very again, retro retrospectively.
1:42:15
SPEAKER_18: I was given um a very um specific time frame.
1:42:20
SPEAKER_18: Of which I was pleased about that.
1:42:23
SPEAKER_18: Because I didn't know because you never you never know what the expectation is.
1:42:27
SPEAKER_18: I'm not saying that I'm one that's gone and looked up average length of time for speeches, especially when you're closing out an event.
1:42:35
SPEAKER_18: Totally have.
1:42:36
SPEAKER_18: Uh but uh uh Jill here at uh American Experiment uh gave me a very specific window of which to to work from.
1:42:45
SPEAKER_18: So this will be fun.
1:42:46
SPEAKER_18: So by the time you're listening to this, right?
1:42:49
SPEAKER_18: By the time you're listening to the podcast or watching the video on either the American Experiment YouTube page or on my personal uh YouTube page, that event will have been done.
1:42:57
SPEAKER_18: I will have made the announcement that you are already aware of because you found the podcast and are and are are here.
1:43:04
SPEAKER_18: So here's my question.
1:43:05
SPEAKER_18: I have two different versions on this, and I'll default to uh to Isaac, and since he's he's you get to play the role of all the audience this morning.
1:43:13
SPEAKER_18: Man of the people.
1:43:14
SPEAKER_18: Although the lights are on outside, so other people have arrived.
1:43:17
SPEAKER_18: So I wonder if uh I know Grace is usually here early, so maybe we can drag her in here and get her get her on a mic.
1:43:22
SPEAKER_18: Um so here was my thought of what I was gonna do for the speech.
1:43:26
SPEAKER_18: So I have a sp I have a a speech, the the the meat of the speech.
1:43:30
SPEAKER_18: But the I basically created a bun.
1:43:35
SPEAKER_18: Keeping with the food theme, right?
1:43:37
SPEAKER_18: I basically created a bun.
1:43:39
SPEAKER_18: So my thought was there's gonna be people there because we've been hyping up that I'm making an announcement about the future of the show.
1:43:46
SPEAKER_18: So my thought was I didn't want to make everybody wait, but I didn't want to give them everything, because the last thing I wanted was, hey, here's what's going on.
1:43:52
SPEAKER_18: You can listen Monday, here's all the ways, and then everybody goes and leaves.
1:43:56
SPEAKER_16: You wanted to withhold the beans from the hot dog.
1:43:59
unknown: Yes.
1:44:00
SPEAKER_18: I knew we were gonna get along.
1:44:03
SPEAKER_18: Isaac's the whole reason why I decided to work here.
1:44:06
SPEAKER_18: Um so my thought was that I would sort of do the partial announcement of hey, not gonna make you wait.
1:44:15
SPEAKER_18: Um it's uh the John Justice show presented by American Experiment.
1:44:20
SPEAKER_18: It starts on Monday, and I'll give you details about how you can listen, but first here are my comments.
1:44:27
SPEAKER_18: And then I do the speech, and then at the end, the other, the underside of the bun, of which there's just a smattering of ketchup.
1:44:36
SPEAKER_18: Um I would give them all the all the details.
1:44:38
SPEAKER_18: As opposed to doing the speech and then making the announcement.
1:44:41
SPEAKER_18: What do you what what what do you what do you think?
1:44:43
SPEAKER_16: I like that.
1:44:44
SPEAKER_16: I like that a lot.
1:44:45
SPEAKER_16: Give the people what they want early, you know.
1:44:47
SPEAKER_16: People are kind of clamoring for this.
1:44:48
SPEAKER_18: Yeah.
1:44:49
SPEAKER_16: I hope so.
1:44:49
SPEAKER_16: Yeah.
1:44:50
SPEAKER_18: For your guys' sake.
1:44:51
SPEAKER_18: Unless you made a big mistake.
1:44:55
SPEAKER_18: You'll be in uh you'll be in uh big trouble if that's the case.
1:44:58
SPEAKER_18: Let's go back to the um to the comment line uh 612-584-45 uh 65.
1:45:04
SPEAKER_18: Uh Ken's left us a comment.
1:45:06
SPEAKER_05: Hi, this is uh Darwin, Ken, and Ann, and we're just wondering uh what happened to your morning show.
1:45:11
SPEAKER_05: We missed your show, and wondering if you're gonna have a new one.
1:45:15
SPEAKER_05: Uh thank you so much.
1:45:17
SPEAKER_18: Well, you're actually on that on that new one now.
1:45:21
SPEAKER_18: There was more, so the the way that we're replicating what I did on Meme Muscle.
1:45:28
SPEAKER_18: And by the way, my wife Melinda has been uh because she's actually listening to the live stream.
1:45:32
SPEAKER_18: There's a handful of people that have the live stream and are able to listen.
1:45:36
SPEAKER_18: Um she hasn't commented on this yet.
1:45:39
SPEAKER_18: I'm sensing that the meme muscle description of my former job is probably driving her nuts.
1:45:48
SPEAKER_18: My guess is my guess is she's probably not the biggest biggest fan of that.
1:45:55
SPEAKER_18: And it's probably twofold.
1:45:56
SPEAKER_18: It's probably like, stop talking about your former employer.
1:46:00
SPEAKER_18: But also, potentially the fact that I keep calling it me muscle.
1:46:04
SPEAKER_18: Nah, it just makes me makes me laugh.
1:46:07
SPEAKER_18: She's probably a fan though of Shoguru.
1:46:09
SPEAKER_18: I think Shoguru is awesome.
1:46:10
SPEAKER_18: Shoguru, Shoguru's.
1:46:12
SPEAKER_18: I may have to, that may be out of everything and all of this, that may be the biggest takeaway in the claim to fame and my biggest accomplishment so far, apart from only being off the air a month, is coming up with Shoguru instead of Grogu.
1:46:26
SPEAKER_18: We're gonna need to get we need to get him an American experiment shirt with Shoguru on it.
1:46:30
SPEAKER_18: I think that would be that would be f absolutely fantastic.
1:46:33
SPEAKER_18: Um, my wife did text me though, and say, uh, hot dog and beans is a euphemism for male parts question mark?
1:46:42
SPEAKER_18: Yeah.
1:46:43
SPEAKER_18: I don't think that's what they were referring to.
1:46:45
SPEAKER_18: I hope not.
1:46:46
SPEAKER_18: Frankin Beans.
1:46:48
SPEAKER_18: It's an Austin Powers thing.
1:46:50
SPEAKER_18: Familiar?
1:46:51
SPEAKER_18: You watch Austin Powers?
1:46:52
SPEAKER_18: Yeah.
1:46:53
SPEAKER_18: How old are you?
1:46:54
SPEAKER_18: Do you mind me saying?
1:46:55
SPEAKER_18: 26.
1:46:55
SPEAKER_18: Okay, so that ex so that that explains a lot.
1:46:57
SPEAKER_18: So there's gonna be uh there's gonna be a reference.
1:47:00
SPEAKER_18: There's absolutely going to be a gap in the in the in the references.
1:47:04
SPEAKER_18: Uh so let me put it this way.
1:47:06
SPEAKER_18: If I asked you who is Austin Powers, could you answer that question?
1:47:11
SPEAKER_18: No.
1:47:12
SPEAKER_18: Wow.
1:47:14
SPEAKER_18: Wow.
1:47:14
SPEAKER_18: Okay.
1:47:15
SPEAKER_18: That's good to know.
1:47:16
SPEAKER_18: That's good to know.
1:47:17
SPEAKER_18: I've learned a lot, especially working with Catherine and Grace, because I've ran across that.
1:47:21
SPEAKER_18: One, Catherine's not into pop culture that much.
1:47:24
SPEAKER_18: And two, I think Grace is younger than you are, if I'm not mistaken, if I'm not mistaken.
1:47:28
SPEAKER_18: So yeah, when it comes to the pop culture references.
1:47:32
SPEAKER_18: I do want to talk uh about my my road trip.
1:47:34
SPEAKER_18: Um but since we are on food, I did grab this story.
1:47:37
SPEAKER_18: I had moved it to the bottom of the stack, but since we were on food, um, we'll go ahead and we'll go ahead and cover it.
1:47:44
SPEAKER_18: This is from Fox News.
1:47:46
SPEAKER_18: Uh Burger King.
1:47:47
SPEAKER_18: Oh, so first off, let's go here.
1:47:48
SPEAKER_18: You know Burger King.
1:47:50
SPEAKER_18: Do you eat at all?
1:47:50
SPEAKER_18: Do you frequent Burger King?
1:47:51
SPEAKER_18: I love Burger King.
1:47:52
SPEAKER_18: You do love Burger King.
1:47:53
SPEAKER_18: Yeah, hot take.
1:47:53
SPEAKER_18: I love Burger King.
1:47:54
SPEAKER_18: Interesting.
1:47:55
SPEAKER_16: You're the only one.
1:47:56
SPEAKER_16: I apparently.
1:47:59
SPEAKER_16: That's not fair.
1:48:00
SPEAKER_16: That's not fair.
1:48:01
SPEAKER_16: I said it was a hot take.
1:48:02
SPEAKER_18: It is a hot take.
1:48:04
SPEAKER_18: Is that your go-to?
1:48:05
SPEAKER_18: Like if you're gonna get if you're if you're I'm gonna get a fast food burger, I'm going to Burger King.
1:48:10
SPEAKER_16: Is that it's kind of like with you and ketchup and mustard.
1:48:13
SPEAKER_16: Yeah, it depends on the mood.
1:48:14
SPEAKER_16: Okay, okay.
1:48:15
SPEAKER_16: Sometimes I'm like Burger King, sometimes I'm McDonald's, you know.
1:48:20
SPEAKER_18: See, I would have thought.
1:48:22
SPEAKER_18: See, typically with that type of comparison, usually, like for I guess, and I'll I maybe not say usually, I'll say for me.
1:48:30
SPEAKER_18: Okay.
1:48:31
SPEAKER_18: It would be like, what kind of burger do I want?
1:48:34
SPEAKER_18: Do I want a five guys?
1:48:37
SPEAKER_18: Right?
1:48:38
SPEAKER_18: Which is a little bit more gourmet.
1:48:40
SPEAKER_18: Right?
1:48:40
SPEAKER_18: Do I want to go full gourmet and go to like a there's a road, there's a roadside grill that's right outside the neighborhood of our of our house.
1:48:49
SPEAKER_18: Uh they make really good food.
1:48:50
SPEAKER_18: I'm not going back there anytime soon.
1:48:52
SPEAKER_18: I ended up dropping like five dollars for fries, and it was the worst container, and it's just it was like I paid five dollars for this.
1:49:00
SPEAKER_18: Ridiculous.
1:49:01
SPEAKER_18: Um culver's and then you kind of go down to like McDonald's.
1:49:05
SPEAKER_18: That's a fair point.
1:49:06
SPEAKER_18: Right.
1:49:06
SPEAKER_18: You see, you see what it is.
1:49:07
SPEAKER_18: There's like a culverse is kind of on a tier of its own.
1:49:10
SPEAKER_18: Like a pro like a progression here.
1:49:12
SPEAKER_18: Burger King's really down on my list.
1:49:14
SPEAKER_18: Like I'm probably like if we're doing just straight fast food burgers, I'm probably gonna go McDonald's for ease.
1:49:22
SPEAKER_18: They're they're they're well no, no, I gotta back up.
1:49:25
SPEAKER_18: Sorry.
1:49:25
SPEAKER_18: My bad.
1:49:26
SPEAKER_18: Apologies.
1:49:27
SPEAKER_18: So uh Carl's Jr.
1:49:28
SPEAKER_18: Double Western bacon cheeseburger.
1:49:30
SPEAKER_18: That's the I still regret not getting one on the road.
1:49:33
SPEAKER_18: But we were out west, so we were at In N Out, and I think my son Kyle had In N Out.
1:49:38
SPEAKER_18: Oh, I forgot Melinda's listening.
1:49:40
SPEAKER_18: Gosh darn it, and I just opened up a can of worms.
1:49:42
SPEAKER_18: I think he had In N Out at least six times.
1:49:48
SPEAKER_16: Oh, that's totally fair.
1:49:50
SPEAKER_03: Maybe seven?
1:49:52
SPEAKER_03: Maybe I had I had it.
1:49:54
SPEAKER_16: Now we're getting into the Gen Z references where you just said six, seven.
1:49:57
SPEAKER_16: I did, yeah, six, seven, six, seven.
1:49:59
SPEAKER_16: Oh man.
1:50:00
SPEAKER_18: The whole trip he was doing this, by the way.
1:50:01
SPEAKER_18: It's not it has not run its course, at least with my with my with my 19-year-old.
1:50:06
SPEAKER_18: So usually we're gonna go like uh you know, Hardy's Carl's Jr.
1:50:09
SPEAKER_18: Um, and then like a double quarter pounder with cheese at McDonald's.
1:50:13
SPEAKER_18: Uh and then I'll probably do Wendy's.
1:50:15
SPEAKER_18: Burger King's way down here.
1:50:17
SPEAKER_18: Okay.
1:50:18
SPEAKER_18: I bring all this up because I have a Burger King story.
1:50:20
SPEAKER_18: So this is really relevant to you.
1:50:22
SPEAKER_18: Maybe you'll be pleased about this.
1:50:23
SPEAKER_18: Burger King is implementing two new initiatives based on consumer feedback.
1:50:28
SPEAKER_18: Or customer feedback.
1:50:31
SPEAKER_18: Cutter or guitar.
1:50:35
SPEAKER_18: The um doing that thing with my fingers your way campaign.
1:50:40
SPEAKER_18: Um, a new restaurant manager role focused on customer the customer experience, and the whopper guarantee promising a free whopper if the first one doesn't meet expectations.
1:50:53
SPEAKER_18: While some customers praised the changes, others expressed concerns about employee treatment and compensation.
1:51:02
SPEAKER_18: So I guess the first question I have as the resident Burger King connoisseur, have you had any issues lately?
1:51:08
SPEAKER_16: Were there any concerns for for you regarding You know, I haven't, but the speed of which they serve you is one to be concerned about, though.
1:51:17
unknown: Yeah?
1:51:18
SPEAKER_16: A little slow.
1:51:18
SPEAKER_16: Okay.
1:51:19
SPEAKER_16: But maybe that's because they're trying to get it right, because they don't want to redo it.
1:51:23
SPEAKER_18: Burger King says thousands of customer comments inspired a revamped manager position and a new Whopper Guarantee.
1:51:31
SPEAKER_18: This is designed to improve service, boost order accuracy, and address quality concerns.
1:51:36
SPEAKER_18: Visitors to Burger King may soon notice several changes inspired by the updates that customers of the fast food chain said they wanted.
1:51:43
SPEAKER_18: Earlier this year, we opened our phone lines and invited people to share their honest feedback.
1:51:48
SPEAKER_18: And they did.
1:51:49
SPEAKER_18: One of the biggest takeaways was that our guests want to feel welcomed when they walk in and know that their order will be made the way that they asked and have the confidence that if something isn't right, we'll make it right.
1:52:00
SPEAKER_18: Everybody should do that.
1:52:02
SPEAKER_03: That should just be a given.
1:52:04
SPEAKER_16: It's kind of like the human guarantee thing.
1:52:06
SPEAKER_16: It is or guaranteed human.
1:52:09
SPEAKER_16: Guaranteed human.
1:52:09
SPEAKER_16: I don't really care either.
1:52:10
SPEAKER_16: Yeah, you know, you got it.
1:52:11
SPEAKER_18: You're you're you're on it.
1:52:12
SPEAKER_18: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
1:52:13
SPEAKER_18: Burger King said the initiative generated thousands of customer um or consumer.
1:52:17
SPEAKER_18: No, it's customer.
1:52:18
SPEAKER_18: Customer phone calls and text messages.
1:52:20
SPEAKER_18: Four months later, the company is introducing two introducing two introducing two strategies aimed at improving customer service uh and order accuracy.
1:52:28
SPEAKER_18: The your way campaign is a reimagined restaurant manager role designed to empower restaurant leaders and to put the uh guest experience first, Burger King announced in the news release.
1:52:39
SPEAKER_18: The champion will wear a dedicated uniform and serve as a point person for customers, overseeing order customization and satisfaction.
1:52:49
SPEAKER_18: Just make them the Burger King.
1:52:52
SPEAKER_16: Did you hear they fired the king?
1:52:53
SPEAKER_16: The mascot?
1:52:54
SPEAKER_16: No.
1:52:55
SPEAKER_16: They fired the king.
1:52:56
SPEAKER_16: So they're not using the the They're not using that anymore.
1:52:59
SPEAKER_16: Because you're king now at Burger King.
1:53:01
SPEAKER_16: They said you Oh, is that what it is?
1:53:04
SPEAKER_16: Oh.
1:53:05
SPEAKER_16: So the king got axed.
1:53:06
SPEAKER_16: Okay.
1:53:07
SPEAKER_18: So this would explain why they didn't do what I think they should do.
1:53:11
SPEAKER_18: Because if you're gonna have this manager role, I thought just make them the make them the burger.
1:53:15
SPEAKER_16: Make them the king.
1:53:16
SPEAKER_16: Okay.
1:53:16
SPEAKER_16: Yeah.
1:53:17
SPEAKER_16: No kings.
1:53:18
SPEAKER_18: Okay, no kids.
1:53:19
SPEAKER_18: No kings.
1:53:20
SPEAKER_18: Of course.
1:53:21
SPEAKER_18: Now I want to eat there even less.
1:53:22
SPEAKER_18: Uh the Whopper Guarantee promises that if a if a Whopper, Burger King's signature hamburger, doesn't meet customer expectations, the brand will not only continue to remake it on the spot, but they'll offer the guest the next Whopper free of charge, redeemable with a QR code.
1:53:38
SPEAKER_18: QR codes make an appearance once again on the show.
1:53:42
SPEAKER_18: This is about bringing the have it your way to life in every restaurant every day, Burger King told uh Fox News.
1:53:48
SPEAKER_18: I had been told that I don't know if this is um if this is based on any sort of fact what whatsoever.
1:53:57
SPEAKER_18: But I have been told that the reason why In N Out hadn't expanded was because of the quality control regarding, you know, just how when you they that runs like a military operation when you go into you've had it in out.
1:54:11
SPEAKER_18: I have.
1:54:12
SPEAKER_18: Oh yeah.
1:54:12
SPEAKER_18: It's fantastic.
1:54:13
SPEAKER_16: Amazing.
1:54:13
unknown: Yeah.
1:54:14
SPEAKER_18: It just doesn't, there's no like rhyme or reason to it.
1:54:16
SPEAKER_18: Like it doesn't, it there's it doesn't deserve to be that good.
1:54:21
SPEAKER_18: Like it shouldn't be that good for just a simple menu, but it's fantastic.
1:54:24
SPEAKER_18: It's great.
1:54:24
SPEAKER_18: They're probably putting some drugs in it we're completely not aware of, right?
1:54:27
SPEAKER_18: I swear, my boys they go, I mean, I Logan so Logan's a pilot, he's a private pilot, loves flying on.
1:54:35
SPEAKER_18: He's actually at the Oshkosh Air Festival right now, as we speak.
1:54:39
SPEAKER_18: Filming planes.
1:54:40
SPEAKER_18: Um he's he's taken trips to just go get in and out.
1:54:48
SPEAKER_18: He flew to Vegas, got off the plane, got in and out, didn't go anywhere else, got back on the plane and flew home.
1:54:56
SPEAKER_16: That's awesome.
1:54:57
SPEAKER_16: I'm telling you, they're putting something.
1:54:59
SPEAKER_16: Come to bring me one next time.
1:55:01
SPEAKER_16: I know.
1:55:01
SPEAKER_18: Well, we usually do that too.
1:55:02
SPEAKER_18: Usually we'll go when people go and travel, they'll buy extra ones, and then we have this whole process of wrapping them up and freezing them and bringing them, bringing them home.
1:55:10
SPEAKER_18: I didn't, uh, I didn't this time.
1:55:11
SPEAKER_18: Um, and it's probably a good thing because the whole trip in and of itself was it was a fantastic trip, but not without its its uh trials and uh and tribulations.
1:55:20
SPEAKER_18: Uh speaking of uh trips, by the way, and driving, a Minnesota State employee, Dylan Adams, and the story here from Alpha News, who caused at least$20,000 in damage by keying multiple Teslas around Minneapolis last year, has now been promoted to a supervisor uh position and given a uh a raise.
1:55:40
SPEAKER_18: Yes, that's speaking, yes, of course.
1:55:43
SPEAKER_18: Of course he had because there is an absolute double standard when it comes to the uh when it comes to the left.
1:55:50
SPEAKER_18: Yeah, that doesn't surprise me in the least bit.
1:55:53
SPEAKER_18: The Minnesota Department of Human Services DHS confirmed to Alpha News that Adams is in a temporary assignment as the supervisor of a disability services division's fiscal policy team.
1:56:06
SPEAKER_18: Adams started the position last month, and Alpha News has learned that as part of the promotion, Adams received a$3.58 an hour pay raise as his compensation rate went from$48.60 an hour to$52.
1:56:24
SPEAKER_18: That means he's likely now making a six-of-figure salary paid for by tax dollars.
1:56:30
SPEAKER_18: He received a one-day suspension for devandalism that took place in March of 2025.
1:56:35
SPEAKER_18: He admitted to keying multiple Teslas around Minneapolis and said that he was on a break or out sick during some of the incidents.
1:56:42
SPEAKER_18: Alpha News obtained the records that showed Adams was logged as working during at least some of those daytime incidents.
1:56:49
SPEAKER_18: At the time, Adams was first employed by a fiscal policy analyst at DHS and was the compliance lead on DHS's program integrity team before his promotion.
1:57:02
SPEAKER_18: According to the DHS report on the matter, Adams shared Governor Dim Walls' disdain for Elon Musk.
1:57:08
SPEAKER_18: Adams told investigators he vandalized the Teslas because he believed that Musk gave a Nazi salute during the presidential Trump's inauguration ceremony.
1:57:18
SPEAKER_18: He said he also hoped damaging the vehicles would prompt Tesla owners to disassociate themselves from the company and its CEO, according to the report.
1:57:26
SPEAKER_18: What's most interesting to me about this story that, you know, I certainly have covered, have covered at length uh in the in the past, is not so much the double standard that's taking place here, and this isn't necessarily a surprise, but it's the it's the precursor that this story displays as it relates to other more egregious crimes and the lack of accountability that the left supports relating to those individuals.
1:57:58
SPEAKER_18: You've got DFL and uh former Senator Nicole Mitchell planning a political comeback.
1:58:03
SPEAKER_18: She's um campaigning apparently now to be on the Woodbury uh City uh council, and then we'll get into the pardoning of a of a pedophile, a child rapist.
1:58:16
SPEAKER_18: All of which, and especially with the um Tulu Vang pardon.
1:58:23
SPEAKER_18: Uh I mean, all of this really makes this whole keying the Tesla story look benign by comparison.
1:58:31
SPEAKER_18: But think about the mentality of an individual who would go and do something like that.
1:58:35
SPEAKER_18: And yet it's not something that is criticized, it's applauded and it's championed, and he actually ends up making even more money than he did before in the wake of what he did of going and irrationally vandalizing vehicles.
1:58:53
SPEAKER_18: In the real world, where there's actual consequences, and you're not working for a leftist government regime, for lack of a better way to describe it, this individual would have an incredibly difficult time finding a job, probably would have to go and work for Burger King or an even lesser fast food chain.
1:59:12
SPEAKER_18: No offense to the Burger Kings and the No Kings, but since they go in no kings, I'm gonna point to them for just a for just a moment.
1:59:20
SPEAKER_18: You know, and of course, with that, as I mentioned, you do have the double standard at play in all of this uh as well.
1:59:24
SPEAKER_18: All right, coming up in just a moment as we head into uh hour three on this dry run John Justice show presented by American uh Experiment.
1:59:32
SPEAKER_18: Uh, I do want to talk a bit about uh Nicole Mitchell planning this political comeback as she's running for uh for city council, and then we will get into um the latest information regarding the pardoning and subsequent deportation of Tulu Vang.
1:59:46
SPEAKER_18: Uh, prosecutors actually opposed the pardon, and they revealed the victim was pressured by family to not go and cooperate.
1:59:55
SPEAKER_18: So I'll give you details on that coming up in just a moment.
1:59:58
SPEAKER_18: Remember, if you want to email me, john.justice at americanexperiment.org.
2:00:04
SPEAKER_18: And you can now take advantage of the new comment line, 612-584-4565.
2:00:10
SPEAKER_18: I want to get you up to speed on uh more commentary from the American Experiment podcast, which you can hear every Tuesday, hosted by Katherine Johnson and Grace Keating here on the John Justice Show, presented by American Experiment.
2:00:23
SPEAKER_13: The legislature passed a new social media warning law that requires social media companies to display a mental health warning label to users on their sites.
2:00:32
SPEAKER_13: The label's text must warn the user of potential mental health impacts from using social media and provide additional potential mental health uh resources, including the National Suicide Hotline number and website.
2:00:46
SPEAKER_13: So the law also bars platforms from allowing a user to disable the warning label or like provide it in the terms and conditions, basically do anything so that it's not super fire rate.
2:00:56
SPEAKER_13: The Trump administration has actually sued Minnesota in order to get them to hand over their SNAP records from the last five years.
2:01:03
SPEAKER_13: Minnesota has refused to share this information voluntarily, so the administration took them and some other states to court.
2:01:09
SPEAKER_13: The U.S.
2:01:10
SPEAKER_13: Department of Agriculture said it's pursuing the data to check for fraud and waste and is seeking the program's eligibility and benefit transaction records.
2:01:17
SPEAKER_13: As Attorney General Todd Blanche said in a statement, the American people deserve a government that is transparent about how it spends their hard-earned tax dollars.
2:01:25
SPEAKER_12: We wanted to start off this week's episode with a little update from something we talked about last week, which was, of course, the Minneapolis bathhouse situation, which it sounds like are now legal in the great city of Minneapolis, right, Catherine?
2:01:39
SPEAKER_12: Woohoo!
2:01:40
SPEAKER_13: It was legalized, fully legalized, signed off by Mayor Jacob Fry on Pride Weekend.
2:01:47
SPEAKER_13: We even have a clip of it to show you guys.
2:01:49
SPEAKER_13: Go ahead, Isaac.
2:01:50
SPEAKER_03: This is the bathroom.
2:01:51
SPEAKER_03: Is everybody ready?
2:01:59
SPEAKER_13: And that's City Hall, by the way.
2:02:01
SPEAKER_13: That's Minneapolis City Hall.
2:02:02
SPEAKER_13: Are struggling to get by, especially in our inner middle class families across the state.
2:02:07
SPEAKER_13: You would think the city council would be doing something about this, right?
2:02:10
SPEAKER_13: Well, sort of.
2:02:12
SPEAKER_13: Here's what they are doing.
2:02:13
SPEAKER_13: They entered into a$1.4 million contract with a firm to provide coaching and counseling between council members and Mayor Fry's office for executive coaching and mediation to improve teamwork.
2:02:26
SPEAKER_13: The city council is also continuing to reduce main roadways like Hennepin Avenue to one lane in each direction and eliminating parking to enhance bike and mass transit access.
2:02:37
SPEAKER_12: That should be great for businesses, right?
2:02:39
SPEAKER_12: Yeah, that's really for economic activity.
2:02:41
SPEAKER_13: They opposed ordinances uh on enforcement of livability issues, such as loitering, begging, spitting on sidewalks, possessing drug paraphernalia, and what they call urban camping.
2:02:51
SPEAKER_12: Wait, so they stopped people from passing rules against those things?
2:02:56
SPEAKER_12: Correct.
2:03:06
SPEAKER_12: Wait, so they stopped people from passing rules against those things?
2:03:10
SPEAKER_12: Correct.
2:03:11
SPEAKER_12: They're pro-loitering, they're pro-pro-drug paraphernalia.
2:03:16
SPEAKER_12: Again, great for economic activity.
2:03:18
SPEAKER_12: This is really gonna make Minneapolis like a thriving hub that people with children want to visit and spend their money in.
2:03:23
SPEAKER_13: Last but not least, they hosted the first ever transgender drag show in Minneapolis City Hall to honor Pride Month in 2026.
2:03:31
SPEAKER_13: Thank goodness here when um you talk about you know fewer regulations on child care centers is people worry about safety because there are issues with safety in child care centers.
2:03:42
SPEAKER_13: It's not frequent at all, but you you know, it always hits the news when there's an incident that happens.
2:03:47
SPEAKER_13: But it's sad, it's awful, it breaks your heart, you know.
2:03:49
SPEAKER_13: So if we were to reduce regulations, would that make childcare centers less safe?
2:03:56
SPEAKER_13: Or how do you balance those two needs?
2:03:58
SPEAKER_10: Yeah, that's a really good point because a lot of that fear really goes down to what is happening, you know, in that center when the when the parents leave their children.
2:04:08
SPEAKER_10: What the some of the studies found though was that a lot of the places where those kinds of incidents happened were uh providers that weren't following the rules that were on the book.
2:04:21
SPEAKER_10: So you didn't necessarily need new rules, you just needed to make sure that the rules that you have on the book are being followed by all of the providers.
2:04:46
SPEAKER_17: Presented by American experiment.
2:05:10
SPEAKER_18: American experiment.
2:05:14
SPEAKER_17: American experiments are new show, old show, and we can't wait to hear your voice on the radio again.
2:06:10
SPEAKER_06: Thank you.
2:06:11
SPEAKER_18: And um, I should probably uh I guess I guess apologize uh for just a moment that I haven't brought this up yet.
2:06:20
SPEAKER_18: But in the wake of my being let go from from me muscle, um I've never had a listener response in uh in the way that you did uh in uh in learning of what had uh of what of what had happened.
2:06:37
SPEAKER_18: So thank you so much to everybody who who reached out.
2:06:41
SPEAKER_18: I think the only um the only thing that I could possibly go and compare that to would uh would be uh when um I went through that last open heart surgery and Drew had passed away.
2:06:53
SPEAKER_18: But there was just just an overwhelming level of support from you.
2:06:57
SPEAKER_18: And uh I did my best to respond to uh everybody and will do my best that once we will have made the announcement on uh Saturday uh at the uh America 250 block party brought to you by Center of the American Experiment to uh email everybody back to let you know exactly what had taken place and how you can go about uh listening to the show.
2:07:19
SPEAKER_18: But again, I just wanted to take a uh a moment and uh thank uh everybody who went and uh and reached out.
2:07:26
SPEAKER_18: I just so uh so greatly, uh, greatly uh appreciate it.
2:07:30
SPEAKER_18: All right, let's go here.
2:07:31
SPEAKER_18: Um from Alpha News, former DFL State Senator uh Nicole Mitchell is preparing for a run on the Woodbury City Council.
2:07:39
SPEAKER_18: The move comes less than one year after she resigned from the Minnesota Senate following her conviction for burglarizing her stepmother's home.
2:07:50
SPEAKER_18: According to the campaign website run by Mitchell, the former DFL State Senator is asking donors to make checks payable to Nicole Mitchell for City Council.
2:08:00
SPEAKER_18: You see, and when she campaigns, she won't go uh door knocking, she'll go basement window climbing.
2:08:08
SPEAKER_18: Basement basement window climbing.
2:08:16
SPEAKER_18: You can thank the uh the preloaded uh sound effects in the program that we're uh that we're using.
2:08:23
SPEAKER_18: Um by the way, I am working on getting as much as I can.
2:08:28
SPEAKER_18: I haven't been able to do it yet, but in the uh in the the hasty exit from me muscle, I unfortunately was not able to grab much of what I had on the computer system.
2:08:42
SPEAKER_18: So I need there's there's a a lot of a lot of different items and parodies that I still need to get my uh my hands on.
2:08:47
SPEAKER_18: I did have some that I've I had the opportunity to load up.
2:08:51
SPEAKER_03: The best part of waking up is no Inkamala Most.
2:08:58
SPEAKER_18: So I did have that.
2:09:00
SPEAKER_18: But there's a lot of other items that I need to go and grab as grab as well.
2:09:03
SPEAKER_18: Uh Nicole Mitchell.
2:09:06
SPEAKER_18: Also links to an Act Blue page with the uh Nicole Mitchell Woodbury uh City uh Council logo.
2:09:12
SPEAKER_18: While Mitchell has not formally announced her candidacy yet, her website makes it clear she's preparing for another bid for office.
2:09:19
SPEAKER_18: The candidate filing period for the Woodbury City Council opens on July 14th.
2:09:23
SPEAKER_18: Two Woodbury City Council seats are open for election this November.
2:09:28
SPEAKER_18: Um do something else, you lunatic.
2:09:33
SPEAKER_18: You know, this isn't I I don't believe for a moment that this is any sort of overwhelming desire to serve the public in what Nicole Mitchell is planning with this political comeback.
2:09:43
SPEAKER_18: Uh, you know, it could be ego, it could be narcissism, it could be laziness.
2:09:49
SPEAKER_18: DFL benefits the quasi-celebrity that goes along with, you know, serving in an elected position of power.
2:09:59
SPEAKER_18: But in no way, shape, or form do I believe that this at all is indicative of an individual who has a true desire to serve uh the public in a positive way.
2:10:11
SPEAKER_18: Because like just like the Tesla Vandal, you don't normal people don't go and do what she did.
2:10:16
SPEAKER_18: Breaking into her stepmother's home through the basement window in the dead of night after traveling for hours, having all the time in the world to rethink your your actions.
2:10:28
SPEAKER_18: Normal people do not go and do that.
2:10:31
SPEAKER_18: During her trial, Mitchell's defense team argued that Mitchell was in the home, and this would have been the burglary conviction stemming from the April 24th incident in which Mitchell broke into her stepmother's Detroit Lakes home in the early morning hours.
2:10:44
SPEAKER_18: During the trial, the defense team argued that she was in the home to perform a welfare check because that's what you do, as we've argued before.
2:10:51
SPEAKER_18: You climb in through basement windows, don't tell somebody that you're in the home to perform a wellness check, just want to check on you.
2:10:57
SPEAKER_03: They don't want to disturb you, so I just I broke in.
2:11:00
SPEAKER_03: Just want to make sure you're good.
2:11:04
SPEAKER_18: She said that she did this because her stepmother was diagnosed with Alzheimer's.
2:11:08
SPEAKER_18: The prosecution argued that Mitchell was there to steal items belonging to her late father.
2:11:13
SPEAKER_18: After her felony conviction uh conviction, Mitchell resigned from the Senate and was sentenced to uh six months in jail, five years of supervised probation, according to her sentencing order.
2:11:24
SPEAKER_18: Mitchell was ordered to report to the jail in October of 2025 and released in January.
2:11:29
SPEAKER_18: Now, Alpha News did reach can't did uh reach out to the campaign, didn't hear back.
2:11:33
SPEAKER_18: That's not a huge surprise.
2:11:34
SPEAKER_18: To be a candidate for the Woodbury City Council, they must reside in the city for at least 30 days before the general election, be 21 or older upon assuming office, and be an eligible voter.
2:11:45
SPEAKER_18: Convicted felons in Minnesota can vote as long as they are not currently incarcerated.
2:11:50
SPEAKER_18: I guess the question is is she gonna get elected?
2:11:54
SPEAKER_18: I'm gonna go I'm gonna go out on a limb and say yes because she's anti Trump.
2:12:00
SPEAKER_18: It's that simple.
2:12:02
SPEAKER_18: I mean, this is where we are now.
2:12:04
SPEAKER_18: I mean, this is what led to the whole pardon of the convicted illegal immigrant who had repeatedly raped a 10-year-old girl.
2:12:16
SPEAKER_18: I question whether or not, you know, Thief Ellison and Dim Walls were even given.
2:12:22
SPEAKER_18: I don't want to give them any sort of out on all of this, but I wonder how much they even knew before they went and pardoned this guy.
2:12:28
SPEAKER_18: I mean, don't get me wrong, in my view, they're evil enough to go and do this just to try to show up Trump.
2:12:36
SPEAKER_18: But you had the Star Tribune that got in on this action, cheered walls for backing the pardoning of this convicted pedophile.
2:12:47
SPEAKER_18: And in that article, which I'll share with you coming up, the author, Rochelle Olson, said Vang's actions 20 years ago.
2:12:57
SPEAKER_18: By the way, he did he he was convicted of sexually assaulting this 10-year-old girl for a long period of time.
2:13:05
SPEAKER_18: As you'll hear in the clip from Walls where he says we shouldn't be judged by our worst day.
2:13:10
SPEAKER_18: As a matter of fact, I'll go ahead and I'll play it for you now.
2:13:12
SPEAKER_11: I guess the question I would ask is, is um Oh hold on a second.
2:13:18
SPEAKER_18: Not sure why the uh We had our first technical.
2:13:21
SPEAKER_11: I guess the question I would ask is, is um Oh, hold on.
2:13:25
SPEAKER_11: Did that make us any safer?
2:13:27
SPEAKER_11: Oh, yeah.
2:13:28
SPEAKER_18: Did that make the children that are left behind See, this is why uh this is why we test things before we uh go live on Monday.
2:13:37
SPEAKER_11: I guess the question I would ask is, is um, did that make us any safer?
2:13:43
SPEAKER_11: Did that make the children that are left behind any more stable?
2:13:46
SPEAKER_11: Did it improve uh the idea that we can't all be judged by our worst day?
2:13:54
SPEAKER_11: And I want to be very clear, these are horrific crimes.
2:13:56
SPEAKER_18: Yeah, this whole idea of being judged by your worst day.
2:13:59
SPEAKER_18: Rochelle Olson in this article, and again, I'll give you more details coming up here in just a moment on the show, says Vang's actions 20 years ago were awful, but so were the violent protests at the U.S.
2:14:11
SPEAKER_18: Capitol on January twenty on January 6th of 2021, and those folks received presidential pardons.
2:14:19
SPEAKER_18: Listen, even if you want it, even if you want to make the comparison of which it's utterly stupid to go and do ridiculous, kind of insane.
2:14:28
SPEAKER_18: Even if you want to make the comparisons, two things can be true at once in this circumstance.
2:14:34
SPEAKER_18: You can be upset that individuals who were involved in January 6th were pardoned, and you can also be upset that Vang, a convicted pedophile, was pardoned.
2:14:49
SPEAKER_18: You can do both.
2:14:50
SPEAKER_18: But that's not what Trump's derangement syndrome demands of you.
2:14:55
SPEAKER_18: Trump's derangement syndrome demands that if it's anything relating to making Trump look bad, then you need to support that, even if it means pardoning a heinous individual like this.
2:15:11
SPEAKER_18: So I'll give you some details uh coming up in uh just a moment.
2:15:14
SPEAKER_18: And again, I do want to talk a bit about my uh my road trip, especially in the wake of the America 250 uh block party celebrations, where we made the announcement about uh this uh very show.
2:15:25
SPEAKER_18: Uh let me go ahead and take a moment, though, and provide for you some more uh social media uh commentary.
2:15:31
SPEAKER_18: If you follow any of my social media uh feeds, specifically uh TikTok, uh, which I don't think you can really call.
2:15:36
SPEAKER_18: I used to call the Chinese Byware app, but it's not owned by.
2:15:38
SPEAKER_18: I mean, I think Oracle now handles all the algorithms for it at this point in time, right?
2:15:43
SPEAKER_18: I think at least that was my understanding.
2:15:45
SPEAKER_18: Uh maybe the former Chinese Byware app.
2:15:48
SPEAKER_18: Anyway, if you follow me there at uh John J O N Justice, you can check out some of this uh commentary.
2:15:53
SPEAKER_18: These were some um videos that I posted uh over the course of the uh past month.
2:15:59
SPEAKER_18: Uh one of the clips here is talking about the latest uh Kamala Harris word salad that she provided while uh out speaking with the media here on the John Justice show, presented by American Experiment and AmericanExperiment.org.
2:16:15
SPEAKER_18: You know what's even more distressing than the thought of Governor Dim Walls being the vice president of the United States of America?
2:16:23
SPEAKER_18: It's the fact that Kamala Harris could have been the president of the United States of America.
2:16:28
SPEAKER_18: This was on the Don Lemon show this week.
2:16:32
SPEAKER_18: Watch.
2:16:33
SPEAKER_06: I really truly believe this.
2:16:35
SPEAKER_06: We each have heavy light inside of us.
2:16:39
SPEAKER_06: And we need to know that that is what inspires our hope as much as anything external to ourselves.
2:16:46
SPEAKER_06: And when we feel that and and and not allow an election or an individual to dampen that light, um, and instead light let that light kind of carry some particular moments of darkness, that that we not only act on that hope, but we inspire that hope in each other.
2:17:08
SPEAKER_06: And in particular at this moment, it is so important that we not only have hope, but that we understand that that should be a verb.
2:17:21
SPEAKER_18: You know what the worst part about that clip is?
2:17:23
SPEAKER_18: It's not the word salad that she spewed on the Don Lemon show.
2:17:28
SPEAKER_18: It's the fact that Don Lemon took her seriously.
2:17:31
SPEAKER_18: We would have fewer politicians, and especially those on the left, if they weren't just given a free pass every time they do an interview and they say something completely nonsensical, but Don Lemon just nods along, yeah, mmm, so deep.
2:17:49
SPEAKER_18: And he's not a dumb person.
2:17:52
SPEAKER_18: He understands that there was no substance to what Kamala Harris was talking about.
2:17:56
SPEAKER_18: I mean, she might as well have been referring to the mythology of the Forest and Star Wars, the dark side and the and the light side.
2:18:04
SPEAKER_18: No, he knows that that was a bunch of gobbledygook, but he's not gonna dare go and call her out on it or make a comment negatively after that interview's done because of the liberal agenda.
2:18:16
SPEAKER_18: They have so little to run on.
2:18:18
SPEAKER_18: I see these headlines and I have to look at them twice because even though I shouldn't be shocked, I'm still just going, oh my gosh, it's never ending.
2:18:26
SPEAKER_18: The Small Business Administration announced today, Friday, January 2nd, that they are halting payments to some 7,000 recipients of taxpayer money going back to the pandemic because they believe that it's fraudulent.
2:18:43
SPEAKER_18: To the tune of$400 million.
2:18:46
SPEAKER_18: Now I had to do a double check because I'm like, wait a second, wait a second, this isn't autism, this isn't daycare centers, this isn't transportation, this isn't housing stabilization services, this isn't feeding our future.
2:18:57
SPEAKER_18: This is pandemic era PPE funding that people were still receiving to the tune of almost half a billion dollars.
2:19:06
SPEAKER_18: Right now, any single program here in Minnesota that is receiving Medicaid dollars, taxpayer dollars coming from the federal government to go to social services, every single program needs to have their payments stopped right now.
2:19:22
SPEAKER_18: I get it, this is going to be and could be devastating for those individuals that need those services, but we're beyond the point of messing around at this point in time.
2:19:32
SPEAKER_18: Every single one of these programs should have the payments stopped until they are fully investigated.
2:19:38
SPEAKER_18: We need hundreds of individuals on the ground here in Minnesota to determine exactly which programs aren't fraudulent and to begin charging the individuals who are responsible for perpetuating this fraud.
2:19:50
SPEAKER_18: Instead, what do we get?
2:19:52
SPEAKER_18: We get Democrats holding press conferences with individuals who are a part of the community attempting to go and discredit the fraud that's going on, even though it's right there in the open, blatant in all of its misspellings for everybody to see.
2:20:10
SPEAKER_18: Listen, when I went on vacation, I never anticipated that I would be coming back after two weeks to the level of news that we have to share about just how broken the state of Minnesota is under Governor Tim Walls and Democratic leadership.
2:20:27
SPEAKER_18: I hope you'll see.
2:21:36
SPEAKER_18: Excuse me, John.justice.
2:21:38
SPEAKER_18: Gotta get the old me muscle address out of my head.
2:21:42
SPEAKER_18: That's my um new term for the previous employer.
2:21:45
SPEAKER_18: Meme muscle.
2:21:49
SPEAKER_18: John dot justice at americanexperiment.org.
2:21:55
SPEAKER_18: So I needed to go and uh visit family.
2:22:00
SPEAKER_18: Um I had not been out to see my mom in um in a handful of years, and it was a couple of years since I've been out to see my dad.
2:22:07
SPEAKER_18: My mom lives in uh Arizona, in Chino Valley, just outside of uh Prescott, and uh my dad lives in Southern California.
2:22:16
SPEAKER_18: So I decided, and I was I'd researched a couple of different ways, but I decided that uh I would do a road trip.
2:22:23
SPEAKER_18: Uh I bought my 23 Kia Stinger that I have uh named uh Monty for a number of different reasons.
2:22:32
SPEAKER_18: Uh it's uh partly from Monty Python, but I wrote a series of science fiction books, and uh one of the main characters, uh Luna, has an AI inside of her vehicle, and its name was Monty, of which I had pulled from Monty Python, so it's kind of a loose reference there.
2:22:50
SPEAKER_18: So I hadn't taken um a long trip with with Monty.
2:22:54
SPEAKER_18: Uh it is a grand touring car, hence the GT in the title.
2:22:58
SPEAKER_18: I had a whole discussion with Kyle about this.
2:23:00
SPEAKER_18: So I had researched about, well, okay, if we fly, what's it gonna cost, what's the travel going to be, uh, if we were to uh to go and uh and fly, and I just decided, you know what, uh I haven't had the opportunity to go and take uh a lengthy road trip with Kyle.
2:23:17
SPEAKER_18: I'd been on a few with my uh other son Logan, who's now 24.
2:23:23
SPEAKER_18: Um he actually drove with me here to Minnesota when I first gotten the job with with me muscle.
2:23:29
SPEAKER_18: And uh we'd also done some trips by ourselves uh from um Southern California to Arizona.
2:23:35
SPEAKER_18: So this was a great opportunity for Kyle and I to hit the road for 10 days and um see the country and go and visit family.
2:23:42
SPEAKER_18: And that's exactly what we uh what we did.
2:23:44
SPEAKER_18: We ended up, I think we I think at the end we went through some 10 states, went over the uh Colorado uh Rockies, uh went through um Monument Valley, ended up going to the Grand Canyon uh in our travels through Arizona, went to Southern California, ended up going to uh Disneyland for a day, met up with my uh with my brother, and just had an absolutely fantastic uh trip.
2:24:10
SPEAKER_18: We were I had my car inspected um before we left.
2:24:17
SPEAKER_18: Uh I had made sure that um you know the tires were great on Monty, everything was functioning the way that it should.
2:24:23
SPEAKER_18: I mean that's I'd already I were I had already kept up on the maintenance of it.
2:24:28
SPEAKER_18: I'd had it less than a year, I'd had him less than a year.
2:24:30
SPEAKER_18: Um but they had said the tire, you know, asked about the tires.
2:24:33
SPEAKER_18: The tires are all fine.
2:24:34
SPEAKER_18: So the right rears got some wear on the inner liner, but I told them the trip that I was taking, how long we were gonna be, where we were going, and they said it should be it should be totally fine.
2:24:45
SPEAKER_18: You should be able to, you know, you shouldn't have any problems on the trip.
2:24:49
SPEAKER_18: And um, you probably won't need a new set of tires until you get closer to the winter.
2:24:54
SPEAKER_18: I'm like, fantastic.
2:24:56
SPEAKER_18: We were on the road on the final day, we were about one hour from home.
2:25:03
SPEAKER_18: And I think I had calculated we traveled between 47 and 5,000 miles in total on this trip.
2:25:12
SPEAKER_18: We were just outside Shakapee and there was construction going on where it was narrowing down from two lanes to one.
2:25:17
SPEAKER_18: We had just stopped off at like one of the last major ret uh rest stops coming up through the the south part of Minnesota.
2:25:26
SPEAKER_18: We'd been on the road just a handful of minutes, and suddenly my tire pressure uh uh warning indicator popped up for the right rear of the vehicle.
2:25:38
SPEAKER_18: And I watched, I got stuck in traffic because there was a light up ahead, and like I said, we had narrowed down to two lanes.
2:25:45
SPEAKER_18: I w I was watching the gauge as the air just slowly went and seeped out of the tire.
2:25:54
SPEAKER_18: And I told I said, listen, we got a flat, we gotta get it off the road.
2:25:57
SPEAKER_18: There's a parking lot right there adjacent to the highway.
2:26:00
SPEAKER_18: I just need to get to it.
2:26:01
SPEAKER_18: By the time we actually got pulled off, I think I had between four and two pounds of pressure left.
2:26:05
SPEAKER_18: We pulled over to the side of the road and I had uh I actually purchased, for this very reason, I purchased a patch repair kit.
2:26:14
SPEAKER_18: I had the green goop that you go when you squeeze into the tire to fill the hole.
2:26:20
SPEAKER_18: Uh, and then I also had a pump that I could plug into the uh to the adapter in the in the in the driver console.
2:26:28
SPEAKER_18: So we get off the road.
2:26:30
SPEAKER_18: I'm looking for the I'm trying, I'm trying to feel for a for a nail or a hole.
2:26:34
SPEAKER_18: I'm not identifying anything, and I'm like, all right, well, let's get the repair kit out.
2:26:39
SPEAKER_18: Uh because the trunk was filled and the spare was underneath everything.
2:26:42
SPEAKER_18: So the trunk was completely the back, you know, it's a it's the the the key of stinger's kind of a hatchback, it's kind of a four-door hatchback sedan.
2:26:49
SPEAKER_18: Um and we had the entire trunk filled.
2:26:51
SPEAKER_18: And so I thought, let me go ahead and see if I can't get the the patch goop in it just to get us home, because we weren't that far from home.
2:26:59
SPEAKER_18: The cap for the for the goo is what you use to pull out the inner valve of the air valve.
2:27:08
SPEAKER_18: So you gotta pull that out so you can squeeze the goop in, and then you put it back in, you fill with air, and it cycles through, and it's supposed to patch the hole at least enough to get to where you need to, where you need to go.
2:27:18
SPEAKER_18: It's made of plastic, though.
2:27:20
SPEAKER_18: So when I put the tool in to get the inner valve out, it broke.
2:27:24
SPEAKER_18: The tool broke.
2:27:26
SPEAKER_18: I'm like, well, that's that.
2:27:27
SPEAKER_18: I have no other way to get this valve out.
2:27:30
SPEAKER_18: So I just said, hey, let's go ahead and get the spare.
2:27:32
SPEAKER_18: So we empty the trunk, we get the spare out, and this is the first time he's ever had to help, you know, change a tire before.
2:27:38
SPEAKER_18: And so we finally go and we pull the tire off, and I posted images online.
2:27:45
SPEAKER_18: The tire was from the inner liner almost to the halfway point, it was completely bald, and the entire inner part of the right rear tire had cupped.
2:27:56
SPEAKER_18: It was down to the rate, it was down to the radials.
2:27:59
SPEAKER_18: You could see the metal of the tire.
2:28:03
SPEAKER_18: I'd never I had never seen anything like that before.
2:28:07
SPEAKER_18: I was I was absolutely stunned at how worn this tire was.
2:28:11
SPEAKER_18: And it was funny because I posted the link online and somebody had made a comment that, you know, well, if the tires were fine, you should have been able to drive about 5,000 miles.
2:28:20
SPEAKER_18: And I was thinking, when I saw the post, I'm like, yeah, that's what I drove.
2:28:24
SPEAKER_18: Not only that, but we were driving through the desert for hours on end, and it was like 115, 120 degrees outside.
2:28:32
SPEAKER_18: And I remember in one of the hotels that we stayed at, I think we were in Utah, where the news reports were actually talking about the road temperature because of the external heat saying that the uh the temperature of the roads had reached like 150 degrees and it was really dangerous for uh traversing the uh the highways.
2:28:53
SPEAKER_18: So we basically melted the tires off the car.
2:28:57
SPEAKER_18: Which really stunk too, because I mean I'm glad it happened when it did, because if it had happened at any other point on the trip, it would have been absolutely uh dis uh disastrous.
2:29:06
SPEAKER_18: And so having it happen just an hour from home, we threw the we threw the spare on.
2:29:10
SPEAKER_18: Of course, it's oddly sized and limped at home, and I immediately, even before I unpacked the car, I immediately took it over to Tires Plus to put new shoes on Monty just because I was just I just But it cracked me up because as we got off to where we live in Blaine, like 125th and 65, I just started again another another moment on the show where I'm talking about me laughing.
2:29:35
SPEAKER_18: I started laughing and Kyle's like, what are you laughing at?
2:29:38
SPEAKER_18: And I said, I'm laughing at two different things.
2:29:40
SPEAKER_18: I'm laughing one because both of my boys are huge fans of the movie Speed Racer, and if you've seen the end of the Speed Racer film, when he wins the spoiler alert, when he wins the race at the end, the car comes to a screeching halt and it slides right up into frame and it kind of it kind of settles, and as it does, like the wheels are melting, there's oil dripping out of the car.
2:30:04
SPEAKER_18: So I get this vision in my head as we're pulling into the as we're pulling into our neighborhood.
2:30:10
SPEAKER_18: I've got a spare on the back.
2:30:12
SPEAKER_18: The the tire that melted is in the back seat of the car.
2:30:16
SPEAKER_18: We're both haggard because we've been on the road now for like 11 hours, and I'm just laughing, going, what what a what an apropos, what an appropriate way to arrive back home from this 10-hour, 5,000-mile road trip, than just like returning home from battle, like we're returning from battle.
2:30:38
SPEAKER_18: Like we pulled it off.
2:30:39
SPEAKER_18: Because that was one of the things when we were driving.
2:30:41
SPEAKER_18: I was like, I told Kyle a couple times, I was like, you know what?
2:30:44
SPEAKER_18: I know that we're out here in the middle of nowhere and there is nothing out in front of us, like when we were out in Wyoming driving home.
2:30:50
SPEAKER_18: And it was, which is miles and miles with nothing, just nothing.
2:30:54
SPEAKER_18: Makes me laugh every single time I take a road trip like that.
2:30:57
SPEAKER_18: And I did many when I was when I was younger with my with my father.
2:31:01
SPEAKER_18: It made me laugh because um at the time they were always talking about overpopulation.
2:31:06
SPEAKER_18: And if you hit the road in America at any point in time, overpopulation is a joke.
2:31:10
SPEAKER_18: There is so much available land out there.
2:31:12
SPEAKER_18: The same thing rings true when it comes to arguments um uh regarding landfills.
2:31:16
SPEAKER_18: Well, how can we have a landfill or we're gonna ruin the environment?
2:31:19
SPEAKER_03: Dude, do you have any idea how much empty land is actually out in this country?
2:31:24
SPEAKER_18: But I told them, I said, you know what?
2:31:26
SPEAKER_18: Once we're home and we're done with this entire trip, every all this boredom that we're experiencing on the road right now will be an afterthought, and all we'll have were the memories.
2:31:38
SPEAKER_18: And I was thinking exactly the same thing when we went through this experience with the uh with the tire as well.
2:31:44
SPEAKER_18: It's one of those circumstances where, sure, I would have liked to have gotten home, but in hindsight, would I have traded the experience?
2:31:49
SPEAKER_18: No, it was great.
2:31:50
SPEAKER_18: What a great way, what a great story to be able to share, you know, on a dry run show as I launch a a new show.
2:31:56
SPEAKER_18: Because I'm just um I'm so blessed to be able to continue to do what it is that I love to do and what I firmly believe God put me on this planet to to do.
2:32:06
SPEAKER_18: Um I I I absolutely, uh, absolutely but uh believe that.
2:32:10
SPEAKER_18: And I just feel so blessed to be able to do the show here um and and now partnered with uh Center of the American Experiment.
2:32:19
SPEAKER_18: But while we were on the road, um, you know, you stopped to get gas.
2:32:25
SPEAKER_18: We did very little sightseeing.
2:32:26
SPEAKER_18: I mean, we did go through a lot of these national monument parks in the Grand Canyon and all that, which was great.
2:32:31
SPEAKER_18: Um brought a tear to my eye.
2:32:34
SPEAKER_18: I kept uh Kyle had been to the to the Grand Canyon when he was really, really little, but he didn't remember it.
2:32:38
SPEAKER_18: So I just kept calling it a big hole in the ground.
2:32:40
SPEAKER_18: We're gonna go see the big hole in the ground.
2:32:41
SPEAKER_18: Let's go to the big hole in the ground.
2:32:43
SPEAKER_18: And when you get to we were at the southern, we were on a the southern rim of the Grand Canyon.
2:32:48
SPEAKER_18: When you get there, you can't see it when you arrive.
2:32:52
SPEAKER_18: You kind of go up into the mountains a bit, and then as you get closer to where the edge of the Grand Canyon is, it clears a bit.
2:32:59
SPEAKER_18: But again, the way the topography is, or the way the geography is, you have to get out of the car, go up a bit of an incline for uh a decent ways before you actually go and see the Grand Canyon.
2:33:11
SPEAKER_18: And it makes her an amazing experience because like as you walk up from the parking lot and you're traversing these taxpayer-funded nice concrete trails, right, and all the signage, the Grand Canyon kind of reveals itself to you.
2:33:28
SPEAKER_18: At least it did in the moment that we were going up there.
2:33:30
SPEAKER_18: There's the trees sort of around you, and the trees kind of give way, and as you slowly walk up this incline, you can see the edge of the guardrail.
2:33:37
SPEAKER_18: You can kind of see way off into the distance the Grand Canyon, but then it really is right as you step up and it kind of opens up in the Grand Canyon, just sort of exposes itself.
2:33:47
SPEAKER_18: And I'm I'm taking this all in because it has been years, uh decades since I'd been to the Grand Canyon with my father.
2:33:54
SPEAKER_18: And I'm kind of keeping an eye uh on Kyle out of the corner of my eye and I'm watching him.
2:33:58
SPEAKER_18: And you can just you could see.
2:34:00
SPEAKER_18: See his whole body and his expression and his demeanor change from dad joking around with this is nothing but a big hole in the ground to actually seeing this natural wonder.
2:34:15
SPEAKER_18: I mean, just the the beauty of what God can create to be exposed out there.
2:34:20
SPEAKER_18: And he even made a comment is like that is no, that is not just a hole in the ground.
2:34:25
SPEAKER_18: He was just I just taken in by the by the by the by the majesty of it all.
2:34:31
SPEAKER_18: It was just an absolutely incredible, incredible moment.
2:34:34
SPEAKER_18: But as we were traveling, every single stop that we made, there was America 250 promotional items.
2:34:44
SPEAKER_18: And at first I thought, oh, that's interesting.
2:34:46
SPEAKER_18: Like in all like and we're talking random gas stations, random rest stops.
2:34:54
SPEAKER_18: We're driving through Utah, uh Monument Valley, and through that area on, I think it was Highway 80, but forgive me for not for not remembering.
2:35:05
SPEAKER_18: But we're driving through, and a lot of times these are major thoroughfares through these states that go through these national parks.
2:35:12
SPEAKER_18: But at the same time, they're also dotted with these little tiny towns.
2:35:16
SPEAKER_18: So they'll go down to like one lane and you'll have to go really slow.
2:35:19
SPEAKER_18: I mean, it's like, and when you're on a road trip like that, like you're trucking.
2:35:23
SPEAKER_18: Like, you know, speed limits like 75 miles an hour, and before you know it, it like immediately drops to 45.
2:35:28
SPEAKER_18: It's like, whoa! You know, I gotta slow the car down.
2:35:30
SPEAKER_18: Don't want to get a ticket.
2:35:31
SPEAKER_18: Did not get pulled over once.
2:35:32
SPEAKER_18: I was so proud of myself.
2:35:36
SPEAKER_18: But we're going through these little tiny towns, and there are these hotels that you would have to pay me, and there is not enough money in the world that you could pay me to stay at any of these hotels.
2:35:46
SPEAKER_18: Independently owned.
2:35:47
SPEAKER_18: I don't know who is staying with them.
2:35:49
SPEAKER_18: They don't even look like they're opened.
2:35:51
SPEAKER_03: But outside of the buildings were these massive America 250 banners.
2:35:58
SPEAKER_03: And this was, you saw this stuff all across the country.
2:36:03
SPEAKER_18: From here to Arizona, California, and back.
2:36:06
SPEAKER_18: And we took two different routes.
2:36:08
SPEAKER_18: We went down through Colorado and Utah on the way there.
2:36:12
SPEAKER_18: And on coming home, we went up through Las Vegas into Utah and then up through Wyoming and then sort of took a northern route because I didn't want to take the same route both both ways.
2:36:21
SPEAKER_18: I was also trying to get to some cooler temperatures on the um on the drive back uh too.
2:36:25
SPEAKER_18: But I was I was so impressed.
2:36:30
SPEAKER_18: I was so impressed at how at how much the rest of the country was embracing this idea of America 250, what it means for this country and how important it it was.
2:36:42
SPEAKER_18: And the fact that, I mean, clearly, and I would be very interested to know what the um, I'd be very interested to know how these various businesses, because I mean, right on down, right on down to hotels I wouldn't stay at, to gas stations that I wouldn't go and stop at, to the really nice chain ones that you see, all had America 250 stuff.
2:37:06
SPEAKER_18: From banners to kiosks.
2:37:09
SPEAKER_18: They had displays where you can buy all this America 250 merch.
2:37:12
SPEAKER_18: They had cups at one place that were all red, white, and blue and they were marked specifically by the employees as America 250 cups, and they had straws that they were like these straws can only go with the America 250 uh, you know, uh beverage holders.
2:37:26
SPEAKER_18: And I was like wondering, I'm like, did the administration did they sign up for this?
2:37:30
SPEAKER_18: Did the administration just send this out to all of these locations?
2:37:35
SPEAKER_18: But it really gave me a sense of pride in this country and a unique perspective that I didn't had before this trip about how the country still, the majority of individuals in this country still love this country.
2:37:48
SPEAKER_18: You do a show like this, you follow and listen to a show like this, you pay attention to the news, you listen to the commentary provided by uh Catherine and Grace on the American Experiment podcast.
2:38:03
SPEAKER_18: You know how the left speaks of the country and how much they talk about all these various false narratives relating to systemics systemic this and racism, that and bigotry, blah, blah, blah.
2:38:16
SPEAKER_18: And they want to paint, you know, this country as this place that needs to change.
2:38:21
SPEAKER_18: That they that that that that isn't that isn't founded in anything positive or virtuous.
2:38:28
SPEAKER_18: And it's just not true.
2:38:30
SPEAKER_18: That is a false narrative perpetuated by the left, all with an attempt to grow their power and retain that power and wield that power against individuals like you and me that love this country still.
2:38:42
SPEAKER_18: And I'm I'm here in this in this moment to tell you that there are a lot of people out there that don't follow the news, that probably don't even align themselves really with politics, maybe don't even vote, but you know what?
2:38:58
SPEAKER_18: They love this country as much as you and I do.
2:39:01
SPEAKER_18: And they embraced and are embracing this idea of the celebration of the 250th of the United States of America.
2:39:10
SPEAKER_18: And uh there were a lot of reasons, you know, most importantly, just the time I got to spend with my 19-year-old son that I will cherish for the rest of my life as being the most important aspect of taking this trip.
2:39:24
SPEAKER_18: But on top of that, a lot of different other reasons why that trip had to happen and why I am a firm believer that everything happens for a reason.
2:39:35
SPEAKER_18: Going on this trip, this trip being planned in the wake of almost 10 years of working and having success with me muscle and them letting me go and then immediately being able to take this trip, but also being so grateful and blessed to take this trip, knowing that my future was secure, knowing that I had a lot of work ahead of me to do when I got off the road.
2:40:00
SPEAKER_18: But the understanding of my new employer, a center of the American American experiment, of me going on this trip for my son, and to the to the point where I get to do this show, and then starting on Monday, everybody will be made aware and can listen to the show Monday through Friday, 6 until 9 a.m.
2:40:19
SPEAKER_18: And again, I I don't know if it's going to change the way that I go and do my show.
2:40:24
SPEAKER_18: I don't think that it is, but it is a perspective that I sorely needed.
2:40:30
SPEAKER_18: Because you lose perspective when you're in the middle of doing this and covering the news every day and what will wrap up today's show talking about here in just a moment, you do tend to go and lose that perspective, and you don't even realize that it's happened because you're inundated with all this negativity.
2:40:46
SPEAKER_18: You're inundated with all these stories and behavior for behaviors from our elected officials where you scratch your head and you go, What in the world are you doing?
2:40:53
SPEAKER_18: How can you go and let a convicted child rapist be pardoned for his actions and then go and make a ridiculous statement like we shouldn't be judged on our worst day?
2:41:09
SPEAKER_18: You get inundated by this stuff, especially here in Minneapolis, especially here in Minnesota.
2:41:15
SPEAKER_18: And it's really easy, through no fault of your own, to end up having that frame your view of what's happening as the country to the country as a whole.
2:41:23
SPEAKER_18: And I'm I'm here to tell you that you know what, there's a big portion of America, and it's a lot larger that you think, that is living out their best lives and still loves this country.
2:41:34
SPEAKER_18: And it's incumbent upon Republicans to do the right thing on the issues that we talk about every day for those individuals who aren't out there paying close attention and aren't engaged.
2:41:47
SPEAKER_18: Because things will get bad when those people end up being affected and can't hide, and not even by choice, they just don't pay attention or follow the news.
2:41:57
SPEAKER_18: But when those individuals end up being impacted, and could end up being impacted, if Democrats were able to go and grab full control, not just here in Minnesota, but across the country, I mean, that's when we're going to be in big trouble, but we're not there yet.
2:42:12
SPEAKER_18: And I'm I feel so blessed to be able to continue and to share that with you as I'm able to continue to do what I do.
2:42:20
SPEAKER_18: To that point, there is a lot of stuff to cover, and we'll certainly do that here on the remainder of what's left of today's show and coming up on uh on uh Friday's show, uh, which you can uh check out.
2:42:31
SPEAKER_18: It should be available now, depending on when you're listening to this before we go live for the first official show coming up on Monday.
2:42:37
SPEAKER_18: But as I mentioned before, on July 1st, the news broke that a three-person panel containing Governor Dim Walls and Attorney General Thief Ellison had pardoned a man who'd been convicted of repeatedly raping a 10-year-old girl, apparently to help him avoid deportation and remain in Minnesota.
2:42:52
SPEAKER_18: On July 10th, it was announced that the federal government had deported that man.
2:42:57
SPEAKER_18: Walls has since denounced the Trump administration's deportation of the individual.
2:43:02
SPEAKER_18: It should be stressed that the individual's worst day lasted two years.
2:43:06
SPEAKER_18: Again, going back to the comments by Governor Jim Walls that he made.
2:43:37
SPEAKER_18: How aware was he?
2:43:38
SPEAKER_18: Because if he was fully aware of the crimes of this individual and still pardon him, pardoned him, then he's more evil than even I already assumed that he was.
2:43:48
SPEAKER_18: There's polling data out now.
2:43:51
SPEAKER_18: A new survey uh done by uh KSTP, a survey USA poll.
2:43:58
SPEAKER_18: Funny side note on this whole thing.
2:44:00
SPEAKER_18: So working at uh Me Muscle, I would go out of my way to not mention any potential competitors.
2:44:06
SPEAKER_18: So I don't have to really do that anymore.
2:44:08
SPEAKER_18: So whenever I would do K, whenever I would do K uh KSTP, I would do Channel 5 instead.
2:44:13
SPEAKER_18: Because I didn't want to say their call letters so no I'm free.
2:44:16
unknown: Sorry.
2:44:17
SPEAKER_18: Just wanted to point that out.
2:44:18
SPEAKER_18: Um the results of this KSTP survey poll shows that Governor Jim Wall's approval rating is continuing to drop, which is also the case for other DFL leaders.
2:44:28
SPEAKER_18: President Donald Trump's approval rating, on the other hand, rebounded slight uh slightly, although major, uh although a major majority still disapprove of his work.
2:44:38
SPEAKER_18: Ah, gotta get that little jab in there, don't you?
2:44:42
SPEAKER_18: You know, the good news is there are voices that are out there that are speaking out against just how ridiculous the uh Democrat Party has uh has become.
2:44:49
SPEAKER_18: I'll get to this in in just a moment.
2:44:51
SPEAKER_18: But to the issue of the pardoning of uh Tulu Vang, a Ramsey County attorney's office, opposed Tulu Vang's pardon, citing his lack of remorse and the victim's family pressure.
2:45:07
SPEAKER_18: Despite this, the Minnesota Board of Pardons granted the pardon and Vang was later deported.
2:45:13
SPEAKER_18: The office also revealed that Vang's reduced sentence was due to the victim's families pressuring her to not cooperate.
2:45:23
SPEAKER_18: And again, this speaks volumes as if more needed to be said and it doesn't, but it speaks volumes about Ellison, Walls, and the left and the left as well.
2:45:39
SPEAKER_18: Ramsey County's attorney's office urged the Minnesota Board of Pardons to reject the convicted child sex offender to Lou Vang's request for clemency, and in doing so shed new light on why he never spent a day behind bars.
2:45:52
SPEAKER_18: We do not support the pardon prosecutors wrote, according to the newly obtained document.
2:46:00
SPEAKER_18: Despite that, the Minnesota Board of Pardons consisting of Governor Jim Walls, Attorney General Keith Ellison, and Chief Justice Natalie Hudson voted unanimously to grant the pardon.
2:46:09
SPEAKER_18: Weeks later, the Trump administration did the right thing and announced that Vang had been deported from the United States after Secretary of State Marco Rubio revoked his legal status.
2:46:19
SPEAKER_18: The document.
2:46:20
SPEAKER_18: Okay, so maybe I was yeah, I I guess I was a little bit confused over what his exact uh status was.
2:46:26
SPEAKER_18: The document also offers insight into why Vang, who pleaded guilty repeatedly to sexually assaulting a 10-year-old girl over a two and a half year period that never served a single day in prison.
2:46:37
SPEAKER_18: Instead, Vang was placed on probation for 30 years in 2026.
2:46:41
SPEAKER_18: I mean, this is just a cascade of epic fails across the board of accountability.
2:46:46
SPEAKER_18: And the only reason why this individual was pardoned is because of Trump derangement syndrome.
2:46:50
SPEAKER_18: And it sounds so trite.
2:46:52
SPEAKER_18: And every single time I go and make a comment like that, I always think, man, it just is it becoming white noise at this point in time?
2:46:58
SPEAKER_18: But there's no other way to describe it.
2:47:00
SPEAKER_18: It is the all opposition all the time to the actions of President Donald Trump that keeps accountability from taking place of heinous individuals like this person that was thankfully deported because the administration went and did the right thing.
2:47:20
SPEAKER_18: The Minnesota Star Tribune columnist, Rochelle Olson, Rochelle, Rochelle, she published an editorial praising Dim Walls for standing by his vote to pardon Tulu Vang.
2:47:34
SPEAKER_18: It was in the weekly Cheers and Jeers uh column.
2:47:39
SPEAKER_18: Olson offered a cheers to Governor Tim Walls, arguing the governor refused to back down for criticism surrounding the pardon.
2:47:47
SPEAKER_18: Perhaps the most striking passage, according to the Alpha News article, of the editorial came when Olson defended Vang's pardon by comparing his crimes repeatedly sexually assaulting a 10-year-old girl.
2:48:02
SPEAKER_18: And I could say, listen, I could say now we're in a position now where I could actually go and talk about and mention what else was in here regarding the actions of this individual, but I won't because they are that heinous.
2:48:17
SPEAKER_18: I mean, this is again, I have the freedom now because we're streaming the show and not on terrestrial radio, but I won't.
2:48:25
SPEAKER_18: But just imagine imagine the worse, and then take it a step further over what this individual did to a 10-year-old girl.
2:48:34
SPEAKER_18: Olson writes, Vang's action 20 years ago were awful, but so were the violent protests at the U.S.
2:48:40
SPEAKER_18: Capitol on January 6th of 2021.
2:48:42
SPEAKER_18: Those folks received presidential pardons.
2:48:46
SPEAKER_18: These individuals are evil.
2:48:48
SPEAKER_18: They're truly, truly evil.
2:48:50
SPEAKER_18: Some of them are writing columns, and they reach the individuals that I talked about before that don't pay close attention, that have succumbed to the propaganda of the of the left and just believe that everything that Trump does is bad.
2:49:03
SPEAKER_18: And then even and even to the point where if Trump was going to go and deport somebody who had been convicted of doing the most evil, vile acts to a 10-year-old girl, is justifiable in their mind as long as they feel like they're sticking it to Trump.
2:49:19
SPEAKER_18: These are the people that want to continue to hold positions of power and make decisions for average individuals.
2:49:29
SPEAKER_18: Writing columns that influence and perpetuate that mindset.
2:49:34
SPEAKER_18: Like Walls, Olsen points to a letter from Vang's victim supporting the pardon.
2:49:39
SPEAKER_18: However, that letter was not included in the publicly released version of Vang's clemency application.
2:49:44
SPEAKER_18: The Star Tribune editorial also omitted several key facts that fueled the public controversy of Vang's pardon.
2:49:51
SPEAKER_18: Vang admittedly repeatedly sexually assaulted the fourth grader over a period of more than two years.
2:49:56
SPEAKER_18: According to the criminal complaint, he told investigators the child should be arrested also because she was just as much at fault.
2:50:05
SPEAKER_18: I mean, does it get any does it get any worse?
2:50:12
SPEAKER_18: Perhaps most shocking was despite pleading guilty to the first degree criminal criminal sexual conduct involving a child under 13, Vang never served a day in prison.
2:50:22
SPEAKER_18: Instead, he received a stayed 144-month sentence and was placed on probation.
2:50:31
SPEAKER_18: How is anybody ever I mean, what does that do to a person?
2:50:34
SPEAKER_18: You're already so messed up in the head.
2:50:39
SPEAKER_18: You're already so twisted.
2:50:41
SPEAKER_18: Your sense of right and wrong and morality is so far off the map that you're willing to go and do what you did to a 10-year-old girl, and on top of that, you're not even given the possibility of any sort of accountability wherein you could go and understand how horrible, heinous, and gross and evil your actions were.
2:52:16
SPEAKER_18: How did that person get pardoned?
2:52:18
SPEAKER_18: But those on the left, they're just waiting.
2:52:20
SPEAKER_18: Give me an excuse, give me an excuse, give me anything, give me anything.
2:52:23
SPEAKER_18: Oh, there it is.
2:52:24
SPEAKER_18: Yeah, yeah.
2:52:25
SPEAKER_18: Trump pardoned pedophiles and fraudsters, and the January 6th guys got pardoned as well.
2:52:29
SPEAKER_18: They're just waiting for it.
2:52:30
SPEAKER_18: They've done a really, really good job of brainwashing and putting their voters in a position where they'll go and accept pretty much any excuse they'll go and give them.
2:52:41
SPEAKER_18: He goes on to say it's baffling that the media would highlight this singular decision from a month ago based on the false statement from an agency that has lied repeatedly to the American people, and that's part of an administration wagging uh waging a relentless campaign of harassment and retaliation against Minnesota, including by unlawfully weaponizing criminal investigations.
2:53:08
SPEAKER_18: You know, one of the worst things about this current campaign cycle that we're in right now is the fact that um Keith Ellison's out there campaigning, so you have to see him on social media all the time.
2:53:17
SPEAKER_18: That's the little man is such, such an absolute punk.
2:53:24
SPEAKER_18: You know, the good news is, as I mentioned before, talking about the rest of the country, we still live in an incredibly in the greatest nation on the face of the planet.
2:53:35
SPEAKER_18: The fact that I'm able to continue to do what I do because of organizations like Center of the American Experiment and the work that they're that they're doing and staying in this fight is a you know is a testament uh to that.
2:53:48
SPEAKER_18: And it's not just me either.
2:53:50
SPEAKER_18: There are other individuals, prominent commentators out there, who for whatever reason, because I always get confused by this, you see when Joe Rogan makes a comment, or in this case, what I'll play for you here in uh just a moment of Bill Maher.
2:54:04
SPEAKER_18: When you have Joe Rogan or Bill Maher making, you know, doing commentary uh out in uh out in public, um, and they they make, you know, that they make like a common sense argument that other individuals and I've had this happen to me several times.
2:54:19
SPEAKER_18: Like you'll have Joe Maher make a comment that uh that excuse me, Bill Maher.
2:54:23
SPEAKER_18: I crossed the streams there, Joe Rogan, Bill Maher.
2:54:26
SPEAKER_18: Um you'll have Bill Maher go and make a comment that aligns with something that perhaps I would say during my commentary, and people make a big deal about it.
2:54:35
SPEAKER_18: Oh, Bill Maher's talking about conservatism in a positive way.
2:54:39
SPEAKER_18: He's he's actually not, you know, acting like a liberal when there are plenty of other individuals that are out there making similar comments, but it carries more impact for a lot of people because here's a person that typically aligns themselves with the left.
2:54:52
SPEAKER_18: And and I get it.
2:54:54
SPEAKER_18: So when Bill Maher goes and makes comments like what I'm about to share with you, talking with CNN, people absolutely listen to.
2:55:03
SPEAKER_09: Democrats are cowardly.
2:55:04
SPEAKER_09: Yeah.
2:55:04
SPEAKER_09: They're cowardly.
2:55:05
SPEAKER_09: Their party is being taken.
2:55:07
SPEAKER_09: Democrats are cowardly.
2:55:08
SPEAKER_09: Yeah.
2:55:08
SPEAKER_09: They're cowardly.
2:55:09
SPEAKER_09: Their party is being taken over now by, you know, every day I hear about a new very radical.
2:55:16
SPEAKER_09: I I feel very good about like ten whenever years ago, like I did lose fans because, you know, uh I wasn't gonna go along with some of this crazy stuff on the left, too.
2:55:30
SPEAKER_09: I didn't change really on what I thought about the right, but just I can't sit and just not notice stuff, which people seem to want to do because it's all about my team or your team.
2:55:40
SPEAKER_09: But yeah, there's some crazy stuff, you know.
2:55:42
SPEAKER_09: When we're cheering for the Intifada, I got them out.
2:55:46
SPEAKER_09: Well, I don't know if you saw Jay Clayton is nominated to be the head director of the hearing.
2:55:52
SPEAKER_18: I heard somebody make um, and I think it was repeat, I think it was by somebody here at Center of the American Experiment.
2:55:59
SPEAKER_18: I Heard somebody make a comment and it was one, it was one of the most uh how do I want to describe it?
2:56:06
SPEAKER_18: It was one of the most relevant comments about politics in Minnesota that I may have ever heard.
2:56:11
SPEAKER_18: The comment, and I think they had heard it from somebody else.
2:56:14
SPEAKER_18: And you have to forgive me if that individual happens to be listening here in the halls, and I'm I'm I'm not associating your comment with with you.
2:56:23
SPEAKER_18: So my apologies.
2:56:25
SPEAKER_18: But the comment that you heard or that you said stuck with me.
2:56:28
SPEAKER_18: They said that people in Minnesota, Democrats in Minnesota, they want to vote for Democrats that vote like Republicans.
2:56:36
SPEAKER_18: And I was like, man, that is so incredibly relevant.
2:56:44
SPEAKER_18: They're right.
2:56:46
SPEAKER_18: But at the same time, they've done such a good job of, again, brainwashing the left to where that might be the case, which you would think would bring them over to vote for a Republican, but this is why Democrats have focused so much on making sure that they vilify Republicans every single opportunity that they get.
2:57:09
SPEAKER_18: They lie about how they're gonna go and run, and then when they get in office, they act like the Marxist or the communist or the radical leftist that they really are.
2:57:19
SPEAKER_18: Now that's not to say that the GOP doesn't have its share of problems.
2:57:24
SPEAKER_18: And as we begin to wrap up this first dry run of the John Justice show presented by American Experiment, I want to preview what you'll be able to go and listen to immediately after ending this show on the Thursday podcast and video available on both the American Experiment uh YouTube page and also on my John Justice page, assuming all of that worked out the way that we had we had hoped, and so we've got our we've we've got our collective uh fingers crossed and the appropriate prayers uh made.
2:57:52
SPEAKER_18: The cool thing about what we're doing now is I don't have to adhere to any specific time.
2:57:55
SPEAKER_18: So I want to wrap up with an audio clip, and I'll be talking extensively about this on Friday's show, which again will be available now on the podcast, and you can go and search on any podcast platform for the John Justice Show, and you'll you'll find it.
2:58:06
SPEAKER_18: But Mike Lindell, recently endorsed by President Donald Trump, and I'll talk about this at length on uh tomorrow's show.
2:58:15
SPEAKER_18: Mike Lindell uh proposed in a recent interview a six-month amnesty for illegal immigrants.
2:58:22
SPEAKER_18: Now, he has come out with a sort of clarification, an 18-page document outlining his immigration reform policy, but there is no escaping the comments that he made in this interview.
2:58:35
SPEAKER_18: So before we wrap things up, let me share this with you as a preview of what you'll hear on Friday's uh dry run show here on the John Justice Show presented by American Experiment.
2:58:47
SPEAKER_08: Here's what I propose is um and I'm gonna have to figure out why.
2:58:52
SPEAKER_18: Let me see.
2:58:53
SPEAKER_18: I think I know why.
2:58:54
SPEAKER_18: I'm having an issue with the volume continuing to be turned down as we do an on-air production meeting.
2:59:00
SPEAKER_18: I think I know why.
2:59:01
SPEAKER_18: We'll talk about it when we get off the air.
2:59:02
SPEAKER_18: Here's the comments, though, from uh my pillow uh CEO, Mike Lindell, that have caused quite a bit of controversy, especially in the wake of his um in his being endorsed by President Donald Trump.
2:59:15
SPEAKER_08: Here's what I propose is um I want to make uh conditional nonresident visas.
2:59:21
SPEAKER_08: And this would be I'm gonna actually talk to the president about this, but I want to start with Minnesota.
2:59:25
SPEAKER_08: These conditional non-resident visas, you would have six months.
2:59:29
SPEAKER_08: Any anyone here that is an illegal immigrant comes in, you get you get you get checked in the courthouse, you get fingerprinted, you get checked in to get this conditional non-resident visa.
2:59:40
SPEAKER_08: Now you have six months to do that.
2:59:42
SPEAKER_08: You're not a citizen, but you don't have to leave ever.
2:59:45
SPEAKER_08: And as long as a couple of things happen.
2:59:47
SPEAKER_18: One is I'm gonna stop.
2:59:52
SPEAKER_18: Man, I went through all three hours, Isaac, and I didn't make a single mistake.
2:59:58
SPEAKER_18: All three hours, right until the very, very end.
3:00:07
SPEAKER_18: Your mic's off, by the way.
3:00:08
SPEAKER_18: I don't know why.
3:00:11
SPEAKER_18: Oh, okay.
3:00:12
SPEAKER_18: You can pull it back on.
3:00:13
SPEAKER_18: So we're back streaming live now.
3:00:15
SPEAKER_18: So we're back live.
3:00:17
SPEAKER_18: Three hours.
3:00:19
SPEAKER_18: Three hours.
3:00:20
SPEAKER_18: I didn't make essentially I had a couple of issues regarding the regarding the uh the program here that I gotta get used to using.
3:00:29
SPEAKER_18: But three hours and I didn't make any mistakes, and right there at the end, I went to stop the Mike uh Lindell clip and I hit They should really make that a bigger button.
3:00:39
SPEAKER_18: You should look at it over here because I played the video on the screen and the stop button's right underneath it.
3:00:43
SPEAKER_18: I went to hit stop for the clip and I hit stop on the stream.
3:00:51
SPEAKER_18: All right.
3:00:52
SPEAKER_18: So close, man.
3:00:53
SPEAKER_18: I was so close.
3:00:58
SPEAKER_18: Thank you so much for checking out this podcast and this video.
3:01:03
SPEAKER_18: Assuming we can put these together, we'll have to grab.
3:01:07
SPEAKER_18: I'll leave that up to you when it comes to getting the audio.
3:01:10
SPEAKER_18: You can piece together this little clip at the end of the podcast.
3:01:13
