- 0:04Speaker 1: podcast on the iHeartRadio app.
- 0:07Speaker 2: Now back to Mark Dumon on woor.
- 0:10Speaker 1: Well, Hey, let's tay some calls. Eight hundred three to
- 0:14Speaker 1: two one zero seven ten is the number eight hundred
- 0:18Speaker 1: three two one zero seven ten. Let's go to Joe
- 0:22Speaker 1: in Pennsylvania. Joe, how you doing?
- 0:25Speaker 3: Hi, Mark, I love your program. I was just wondering,
- 0:31Speaker 3: the mayor of Newark is very concerned about the treatment
- 0:35Speaker 3: of detainees at the federal facility. What if the federal
- 0:41Speaker 3: government sent investigators from the Civil Rights Division to examine
- 0:48Speaker 3: the city of Noirk jail and all the precincts how
- 0:53Speaker 3: they were treating their detainees.
- 0:56Speaker 1: Well, but now you're bringing up reality. They don't like
- 0:58Speaker 1: to hear about reality. But yeah, very good point.
- 1:02Speaker 3: I know some of it. I know what you get
- 1:05Speaker 3: for breakfast in Green Street. I know what you get
- 1:08Speaker 3: for lunch. I know you don't get anything.
- 1:11Speaker 1: What I mean in prisident, you've been in jail. You're
- 1:16Speaker 1: in jail.
- 1:17Speaker 3: No I just happened to know people that were there.
- 1:21Speaker 1: What are you hanging around with prisoners for?
- 1:24Speaker 3: Well, I mean everybody is uh part of the UH.
- 1:31Speaker 1: Like such an innocent guy. You sound like such a
- 1:34Speaker 1: wholesome all America. Now you're hanging out with criminals X convices.
- 1:38Speaker 3: Please tell the federal government, the Civil Rights Division to
- 1:41Speaker 3: go to Newark.
- 1:42Speaker 1: No, we will. It's a very very good point. Yeah,
- 1:45Speaker 1: we'll get to de Laney Hall coming up. You know, uh,
- 1:48Speaker 1: you got this crazy Mikey Sheryl the governor, and uh
- 1:51Speaker 1: uh crazy uh Newark mayor and that all these difficults.
- 1:54Speaker 1: They're just trying to weaponize the whole situation. It's a
- 1:56Speaker 1: federal detention center. It's not the New York Hilt, and
- 2:00Speaker 1: it's not a Marriott. It's a detention center. It's a jail.
- 2:04Speaker 1: The food is as good as any jail's food. I mean,
- 2:08Speaker 1: it's jail food. It's slightly below airline food. But even
- 2:12Speaker 1: Tom Holman was on some show last night and asked
- 2:14Speaker 1: about the food he goes. I eat there when i'm there,
- 2:16Speaker 1: I eat that food. It's food. It's not great, but
- 2:21Speaker 1: it's He's right. I guarantee your conditions in that federal
- 2:25Speaker 1: detention center are better than the Newark prison than Newark
- 2:29Speaker 1: jails are. I guarantee there's jails in New Jersey a
- 2:32Speaker 1: thousand times worse that Mikey Cheryl doesn't know about, doesn't
- 2:36Speaker 1: care about. Let's go to Neil in Brooklyn. Neil, how
- 2:39Speaker 1: you doing?
- 2:41Speaker 4: Yeah? And migrants, we're refusing food and flave Star Russia
- 2:44Speaker 4: Hotels in New York. But I called you to say
- 2:48Speaker 4: with the BB Trump conversation, it's like Flanky Flanky fried Angels,
- 2:55Speaker 4: and Michael says to him, you.
- 2:57Speaker 3: Gotta cool your jets.
- 2:58Speaker 4: I got business with him.
- 3:00Speaker 1: Exactly, very good point. That's exactly what it is, so
- 3:06Speaker 1: absolutely right. You know everything in life, everything in politics, everything.
- 3:11Speaker 1: You can find an example in the Godfather part too.
- 3:14Speaker 1: You remember frank Pentangelea's going to go after this, and
- 3:18Speaker 1: remember the speech where he tells him you got to
- 3:20Speaker 1: back off for a while. This is exactly what happened
- 3:22Speaker 1: with net Yah. You got I know, you know, you
- 3:25Speaker 1: get hit, you hit back one hundred times. You can't
- 3:27Speaker 1: do it right now. You got to back off. And
- 3:30Speaker 1: remember Frankie says, let's let's go after whatever we did
- 3:32Speaker 1: we got and then al Pacino has to give him
- 3:35Speaker 1: that speech. I have business with him and Roth. My
- 3:38Speaker 1: father did business with him and Roth. So that's basically
- 3:42Speaker 1: what it is. And again, whoever leaked this out. This
- 3:45Speaker 1: is a terrible thing to leak out of private conversation.
- 3:48Speaker 1: It could be President Trumpleck, Hey, what's going on? There's
- 3:51Speaker 1: no calls. I've never seen that before, never seen that before.
- 3:55Speaker 1: What happened? Eight hundred three to two one zero seven
- 3:59Speaker 1: ten is the number. Yeah, so it's a Delaney Hall
- 4:03Speaker 1: is the federal detention center to keep them migrants. It's fine,
- 4:06Speaker 1: it's it's not great, but it's probably better than most
- 4:09Speaker 1: prisons in the United States. But then you get this
- 4:12Speaker 1: Hakim Jeffries, you know, the guy that looks like a robot,
- 4:15Speaker 1: talks like a robot. IQ maybe eighty seven, eighty eight,
- 4:20Speaker 1: And on Delaney Hall.
- 4:22Speaker 2: This is not America. Delaney Hall should be shut down.
- 4:26Speaker 2: And every single individual, particularly those at a high level,
- 4:32Speaker 2: connected to this facility, they're engaging in a depraved indifference
- 4:35Speaker 2: to human life.
- 4:36Speaker 1: Yeah, now he's right, there's prisons even worse in New
- 4:40Speaker 1: York City. Rikers on't but but they're trying to shut
- 4:44Speaker 1: down Rikers. Got to remember, Democrats love shutting down prisons.
- 4:48Speaker 1: It's a big thing with them. They love to shut
- 4:51Speaker 1: down prisons. Remember Cuomo shut down all his prisons. Remember
- 4:55Speaker 1: you made that speech bragging about how many prisons he
- 4:57Speaker 1: shut down, and I means you're letting prisoners out when
- 4:59Speaker 1: you shut him. Yeah, let's go to Joe in Elmwood Park. Joe,
- 5:02Speaker 1: How you doing, Mark?
- 5:04Speaker 3: Good morning?
- 5:05Speaker 4: Vincent?
- 5:05Speaker 1: Uh Biden can't be that dumb.
- 5:08Speaker 3: He didn't he buy all of the richest man in
- 5:13Speaker 3: Delaware was DuPont? Didn't he buy all DuPont's properties?
- 5:17Speaker 1: Well? He his house did he lived on in Delaware?
- 5:20Speaker 1: Was the DuPont estate? Second biggest estate in Delaware? Massive,
- 5:24Speaker 1: massive mansion. This is the guy making a government salary
- 5:27Speaker 1: buy how many years ago? It's not even a mansion.
- 5:29Speaker 1: It's a compound, that DuPont compound. Yeah, he can't be
- 5:34Speaker 1: that stupid, Yeah you can. You just got to be
- 5:38Speaker 1: that crooked. He was obviously a crooked politician, that crooked
- 5:43Speaker 1: right exactly, And thanks to the fake news, never once
- 5:47Speaker 1: asked him. You know, you're on a government salary. How
- 5:49Speaker 1: do you afford the biggest mansion the former DuPont dec
- 5:52Speaker 1: How did you afford that on a government salary. Let's
- 5:54Speaker 1: got a sal in Long Island sal.
- 5:56Speaker 5: How you doing, Yes, honey, Good morning Mark, Mark. I
- 6:00Speaker 5: just had a couple of things I wanted to run
- 6:02Speaker 5: by you. I'm sorry, it's non relation to what you
- 6:04Speaker 5: just spoke about.
- 6:05Speaker 1: That's good.
- 6:06Speaker 5: How do you feel about possibly bringing the draft back
- 6:09Speaker 5: to get these kids who are twenty years old, graduating
- 6:12Speaker 5: college or high school and have no place to go,
- 6:15Speaker 5: nothing to do, and they don't have to dress, they
- 6:17Speaker 5: don't have to cut their hair, they don't know how
- 6:19Speaker 5: to eat food that mom didn't make. Bringing back the
- 6:23Speaker 5: draft and putting him in the arms for a couple
- 6:25Speaker 5: of years.
- 6:25Speaker 1: I know what you mean. It's a good idea, but
- 6:27Speaker 1: apparently the military does not want draftees. It's a whole
- 6:30Speaker 1: different military. The old Vietnam military, they train you how
- 6:33Speaker 1: to use a rifle and then you march around in
- 6:35Speaker 1: the infantry with your rifle. That was it. It's a
- 6:37Speaker 1: whole different military now. It's very very high tech. It
- 6:40Speaker 1: takes incredible training, takes so much training that it's not
- 6:44Speaker 1: worth using draftees that are going to turn them in
- 6:47Speaker 1: and out in two years. It's just not worth it.
- 6:50Speaker 1: So it's a very very high tech military. And also
- 6:54Speaker 1: within a couple of years we're going to be fighting
- 6:56Speaker 1: wars with drones and robots. We won't need as many
- 6:58Speaker 1: bodies anymore. But just tell what you're saying. We should
- 7:01Speaker 1: draft people into something, some sort of service. Maybe it's
- 7:04Speaker 1: not military, but it won't work. You ever see these kids,
- 7:08Speaker 1: these twenty you know, twenty one year olds looking at
- 7:11Speaker 1: their phone in a coffee shop all day. Could you
- 7:13Speaker 1: imagine putting them in a military Can imagine? Tellent, you
- 7:15Speaker 1: got to put your phone down for about an hour.
- 7:17Speaker 1: It's not going to happen. Hey, when we come back,
- 7:20Speaker 1: the brilliant Steve Forbes Forbes Media. We'll talk to Steve
- 7:24Speaker 1: Forbes next on seven to ten wor
