- 0:16Well, thank you, ladies and gentlemen, for joining me, and uh welcome aboard to peace through strength.
- 0:22America's Navy.
- 0:23I'm Lieutenant Commander Steven Rogers, retired from the United States Navy, proudly retired.
- 0:29Best years of my life were in the United States Navy, I've got to tell you, folks.
- 0:32Got any young person in your family or young person you know who wants to have a very bright future, a future with promise with hope, uh, where they could become a very, very uh productive individual in this country that uh is directly involved in protecting our freedoms and liberty.

- 1:33Like I said, thank you very much for tuning in.
- 1:38Now we've got a lot to unwrap, so I'm gonna get right to it.
- 1:42As you know, a lot's been happening uh with regard to the war in Iran.
- 1:46On again, off again, off again, on again, on again, off again.
- 1:50What am I talking about?
- 1:52I'm talking about the never-ending excuses that the Iranian government is using uh in order to not to really come with any seriousness to the negotiating table.
- 2:04The president of the United States, Donald J.
- 2:07Trump has demonstrated, I've got to tell you folks, considerable patience in his approach towards ending this war.
- 2:14In his approach for trying to get Iran to come to the table.
- 2:18But uh I've got to tell you, although he has consistently pursued diplomatic efforts to engage Iran in negotiations, rather than resorting to conflict on land, sea, and air, the Iranian government just doesn't get the message.
- 2:34They don't get the peace through strength message.
- 2:36They don't get the message that they're dealing with a commander in chief of U.S.
- 2:40Armed Forces that is going to be uh running out of patience, as we all are.
- 2:45I'm sure, like you, I'm sick and tired of hearing excuse after excuse from the so-called Ayatollah's government uh with regard to uh their desire to no longer sit down with the United States and talk peace.
- 3:01Every time the president and his negotiating team turns around, there's something else going on with uh the Iranian government.
- 3:08Now, the latest is, and this is something that doesn't surprise me, the latest reports are that the new Ayatollah, who happens to be worse than his old man, uh has been sidelined.
- 3:19He has absolutely been sidelined by the Islamic Revolutionary Uh Guard Corps, which means that the uh military, not the regular military, but the so-called elite forces called the IRGC have taken control of the government.
- 3:35Now they say they're the elite forces.
- 3:37I say, and I believe most of our, if not all of our U.S.
- 3:42military personnel uh classify the IRGC as a bunch of hooligans, a bunch of thugs.
- 3:49Yeah, they know how to open fire on their own people.
- 3:52They now know how to execute uh uh people who are protesting in the streets without any way of defending themselves.
- 3:59Well, put the IRGC up against the United States Navy, the United States Marines, the Army, the Air Force.
- 4:07Well, that's a whole different story.
- 4:09Uh look at folks, for the past uh few weeks, a couple months now, they've been unable to sustain any type of military structure that they can use effectively against the United States uh armed forces.
- 4:23Navy's gone, Air Force is gone, their army, if they have any left is probably all gone.
- 4:30Military infrastructure's gone.
- 4:31Everything's gone, gone, gone, and yet, and yet they did find a way to drag on this war.
- 4:39And that's by blocking the Strait of Hermuz by causing all types of problems again in the Persian Gulf.
- 4:46The time has come, maybe, just maybe the time has come to do what I believe we should have done a long time ago.
- 4:52And that's to unleash the full weight and might of the United States Armed Forces and finish the job.
- 4:58I know the president, the commander-in-chief, and all of our military uh leaders have been very, very careful with regard to ensuring that minimum uh a minimum amount of uh civilians would be uh killed or injured.
- 5:14We do that, you know, in this government.
- 5:16We will not target an area if an overwhelming number of civilians are going to be uh killed.
- 5:21Now, of course, the mainstream media, they just go on and on and on about, well, you know, the United States uh launches missiles here and there without any regard for human life, civilians, innocent life.
- 5:33So wrong, folks, so wrong, and that I gotta tell you, day in and day out.
- 5:37Uh, you know, I monitor all the media outlets, and I got I gotta tell you, uh, some of these mainstream media outlides are uh propaganda channels for the enemies of this country.
- 5:50Yeah, I've said it.
- 5:51Why not say the truth, folks?
- 5:53Day in and day out.
- 5:54Well, the U.S.
- 5:55military did this but should not have done that.
- 5:57The U.S.
- 5:58military is targeting civilians.
- 6:00No, not true.
- 6:01Targeted as school, not true.
- 6:04And on and on and on, and continues to go on.
- 6:08You would think, at some point in time, they would scratch their heads, and I I know I sound like a broken record, but you know what?
- 6:15I can't help but uh try to explain this every time I'm on the air, especially to our news listeners.
- 6:20You'd think that the mainstream media networks would kind of scratch their heads and think, well, maybe we ought to let up on this a little.
- 6:27Why?
- 6:28Because we have men and women in the United States Navy at sea, very vulnerable to attack.
- 6:35We have troops out there ready to go into combat, very vulnerable to attack.
- 6:40You know, you'd think they care.
- 6:42They don't care.
- 6:43They they'll say, oh, they care.
- 6:45Listen, I've been on some of these networks.
- 6:47They do not care.
- 6:49They don't like it when I get on the air and say these things.
- 6:52Too bad.
- 6:53Too too bad.
- 6:55Okay.
- 6:56I like to talk about facts, and those are the facts.
- 6:59And let them dispute the facts.
- 7:00Dispute the facts.
- 7:01I invite any one of them on this broadcast.
- 7:01I invite any one of them on this broadcast.
- 7:03Come on, peace through strength, America's Navy.
- 7:03Come on, peace through strength, America's Navy.
- 7:06Let's talk about the Navy.
- 7:06Let's talk about the Navy.
- 7:07How about that?
- 7:07How about that?
- 7:08Let's talk about the U.S.
- 7:08Let's talk about the U.S.
- 7:09Navy.
- 7:09Navy.
- 7:09That's what I would say to them.
- 7:09That's what I would say to them.
- 7:11Show me, tell me, give me proof that civilian uh civilian structures have been targeted.
- 7:11Show me, tell me, give me proof that civilian uh civilian structures have been targeted.
- 7:16Give me the proof.
- 7:16Give me the proof.
- 7:17I'll tell you, folks, it just turns your stomach and gets you sick, your blood pressure goes up, and at the end of the day, the fact of the matter is that they lose and we win.
- 7:17I'll tell you, folks, it just turns your stomach and get you sick.
- 7:20Your blood pressure goes up, and at the end of the day, the fact of the matter is that they lose and we win.
- 7:27That's the way it has always been, and that's the way it.
- 7:27That's the way it has always been, and that's the way it will be.
- 7:31Now, the president, he has ordered the deployment of the United States Navy to the Persian Gulf and Strait of Homore some time ago for the purpose of implementing our government's peace through strength strategy.
- 7:44Now, this initiative was aimed at demonstrating to the Iranian leadership that the United States is committed to utilizing its military capabilities as leverage to facilitate negotiations.
- 7:56Period.
- 7:56That was the purpose.
- 7:58That was the purpose of sending our military out there, letting the Iranian regime, the brutal Iranian regime, know that if they don't come to the negotiating table, well, there's another way for us to do what we must do.
- 8:12There's another way for us to find a way to drag them to the table, and that is to use U.S.
- 8:18military might.
- 8:21Looks like they didn't get the memo, folks, right?
- 8:24Look where we are all these days later.
- 8:26I should say, look where we are 47 years later.
- 8:30Absolutely incredible.
- 8:32Absolutely incredible.
- 8:34Now, when the Iranian regime did not understand this message, I know they received it.
- 8:41That's why I use the words, the term did not receive them, did not understand the message.
- 8:47The United States launched military action, destroying in total their military infrastructure and eliminating many high-ranking government officials and military leaders.
- 8:59We all know that.
- 9:00And yet, and yet they still seem to have found a way, as I said earlier, to hinder any type of true negotiations to end this war.
- 9:11So maybe, just maybe, what's to come, and maybe coming at this hour, is something that they never expected.
- 9:20Maybe they expect us to uh quit, to give up.
- 9:23Well, look, Americans don't quit.
- 9:25Americans don't give up.
- 9:27We fight and we win.
- 9:30They haven't gotten that memo either.
- 9:32So despite opposition from the U.S.
- 9:34military, Iran's regime persists in misleading and refusing to negotiate, preferring conflict over diplomacy.
- 9:44And I've got to tell you, you know what they've picked up on, folks?
- 9:47They picked on up on social media activity.
- 9:50Yeah, they're all over the place now.
- 9:52They're actually producing AI videos and putting them out all over the world.
- 9:57I've received a number of them showing where they are, quote unquote, defeating the United States Navy at sea, defeating the United States of America in this war.
- 10:07Some of these uh AI videos are absolutely incredible.
- 10:10Well done, I've got to tell you.
- 10:12They spend a lot of money on that.
- 10:14And no doubt, all of those social media productions are going right into the homes of the Iranian people to demoralize them to a point where they will just give up and then turn, turn against the United States of America.
- 10:31Reports I'm getting is it's not working.
- 10:34The people in Iran are saying, please keep the bombing up.
- 10:37Do what you must do.
- 10:39We will pay the price for the freedom and liberty that at least if we can't enjoy, our children and grandchildren would enjoy.
- 10:47I've got to tell you, that's courage.
- 10:49That's guts.
- 10:50And I wish some of the people in this country, some of these protesters who are out there condemning the United States Navy, condemning the United States Armed Forces, our commander-in-chief, our joint chiefs of staff, and all of our military personnel for this ward, they ought to learn a lesson from the people who are being executed on a daily basis, hung in the streets, thrown off our roofs, tortured in front of them, their children being tortured in front of them.
- 11:15And we've got protesters in this country, not protesting the IRGC or the Iranian government.
- 11:21They're protesting the United States of America.
- 11:25They're protesting the fact that we've got the strongest United States Navy fleet off the coast of Iran.
- 11:33Ready, willing, and able to put their lives on the line for the freedom of liberty of not only the Iranian people, but may I add, which some people have forgotten, our children and grandchildren.
- 11:47Why?
- 11:48How do I say that?
- 11:50Because if they are allowed to continue on the path they are continuing, meaning the Iranian government, they will get a nuclear bomb and they will use it.
- 12:01They will use it.
- 12:03Contrary to what the mainstream media is saying, and some of these uh so-called, so-called military experts, and I've said this over and over again, it makes me sick when they get on the air, the generals and these admirals and all these other military, quote-unquote military experts uh who are not in the war room, who are not in the situation room, who are not getting the uh accurate, actionable intelligence that our true experts are getting, they feel free to go on these mainstream media outlets and simply condemn, if you will, in so many words, the actions of our country, questioning the actions of our leaders.
- 12:44So much for loyalty, right?
- 12:46They talk about loyalty to God and country, so much for loyalty to the oath of office that all of us in the United States Navy and other branches of the armed forces take.
- 12:56Hey, look, I'm open for uh a lively constructive debate over policies and issues, but when you're at war, you don't do it publicly.
- 13:05You just don't do it publicly.
- 13:07Do it behind closed doors, for goodness sakes.
- 13:10Don't these people have common sense that every single time they open their mouths and their mouths are spewing out anti-American anti-military policy, anti-this and anti-that, that the enemies are taking what they're saying and putting it on the air in their country and around the world, saying, look, so-and-so, an admiral in the Navy, retired, general in the army retired, on and on and on.
- 13:36Yeah, you're becoming stars, all right.
- 13:38Not here, not in the United States of America, but you're becoming stars at the wrong places at the wrong time.
- 13:47I'll tell you what people will do for their 15 minutes of fame.
- 13:52Now, unfortunately, most of our NATO and European allies refuse to help when shots were not fired, and then the United Nations happens to be nowhere to be found.
- 14:00Happens to be nowhere to be found.
- 14:03Look at I've said all along that NATO could have gotten involved again when no shots were fired.
- 14:03Look at I've said all along that NATO could have gotten involved again when no shots were fired.
- 14:08Our European allies could have got involved when no shots were fired, when the United States Navy was deployed to the Persian Gulf region, they could have joined us.
- 14:08Our European allies could have got involved when no shots were fired, when the United States Navy was deployed to the Persian Gulf region, they could have joined us.
- 14:18They could have helped.
- 14:18They could have helped.
- 14:19After all, most of the oil they get, right, is from that area.
- 14:19After all, most of the oil they get, right, is from that area.
- 14:24But history, and I've said this over and over again, history has always been, well, the
- 14:24But history, and I've said this over and over again, history has always been, well, it's great to have NATO as long as the United States is willing to uh have more of their children's blood, their relatives' blood shed on their soil.
- 14:42Yeah.
- 14:43Now, some people may say, well, that's a little hard.
- 14:45Yeah, it's hard, but it's reality.
- 14:48It's reality.
- 14:49The United States is always leading the charge.
- 14:51You know, and I've tried over and over again to try to help the French, for example, and the United Kingdom, forget that, remember, remember that it were was American blood that was shed for them.
- 15:04Now, am I advocating the dissolution of NATO?
- 15:07No, not at this point.
- 15:08Getting there, not at this point.
- 15:11Because we do have, when I say we now, I talk to the United States Navy and the Marines.
- 15:16I talk about United States Armed Forces.
- 15:18You know, armed forces to armed forces, we're okay.
- 15:21We get it.
- 15:22We get along with each other.
- 15:23We work well together with all the nation, NATO nations and the European nations.
- 15:28This has nothing to do with military leadership, because we work well together with our allies.
- 15:35Has everything to do with the political leadership overseas.
- 15:40Again, our commander in chief, our department of the Navy, Army, Air Force, whatever, are working very hard to build great relationships with our allies from a military perspective.
- 15:55Have done that very successfully over the years, but you get these politicians involved, and I'm talking about the ones overseas.
- 16:02It's not our country that's dividing this.
- 16:04Again, the mainstream media will say, oh, you know, the Secretary of War, the uh President of the United States, they're causing so much division between America and NATO.
- 16:15No, they're not.
- 16:16All we did was ask for help.
- 16:20Join us.
- 16:21Join our fleet.
- 16:22Let's all get together and let's stop this menace that has been created over 47 years through the lack of inaction in Iran.
- 16:34That didn't happen.
- 16:35Now we're at a real very, very serious critical juncture.
- 16:39Iran chose not to heed the warnings from many people about the U.S.
- 16:43Navy.
- 16:44You know what that warning has been?
- 16:45And I've spread that warning all over the news media, TV and radio, live streams.
- 16:51Don't mess with America's Navy.
- 16:54Don't mess with the American people.
- 16:57Well, Iran decided to mess with America's Navy, and they certainly heard from America's Navy, didn't they?
- 17:04As most of you know, the U.S.
- 17:06military seized an Iranian flag cargo ship that tried to bypass the American blockade off the stra uh during the uh Straits of Hormouth.
- 17:17That's what happened.
- 17:19They had the crazy.
- 17:21They actually tried to bypass I mean a very well-equipped, well-armed warship.
- 17:28They were warned.
- 17:29The USS Spruits, I believe, was the ship that was out there.
- 17:32That's a Navy uh guided missile destroyer.
- 17:35That's the one, the ship that intercepted the Iranian flag tanker in the Gulf of Omen.
- 17:42Now the crew received several warnings to change their course, but did not comply.
- 17:48In response, the Navy ordered the Iranian crew to leave the ship's engine room.
- 17:53A missile was then fired into the engine room, disabling the vessel.
- 17:58Now, shortly thereafter, U.S.
- 17:59Marines boarded the ship and took control.
- 18:02Now you see what we did, folks.
- 18:04We warned them ahead of time, which was a good thing to do.
- 18:07We don't want to kill any people that uh uh uh you know are not in the in a situation where they could defend themselves, you know, if they're where they're not military people, all right.
- 18:17These are people on a cargo ship, uh, I believe it was either a cargo ship or a tanker, uh, and uh we told them get out of the engine room.
- 18:25And hopefully they did.
- 18:26So we put a hole in the ship and disabled it and took control of it.
- 18:31Now, interesting amount uh interesting enough, this marks the first time that the U.S.
- 18:36Navy has seized an Iranian flag ship since the blockade began.
- 18:41Now, according to the U.S.
- 18:42Central Command, more than 20 ships have complied with Navy warnings and reverse course.
- 18:48That's the way it works, right?
- 18:50That's the way a blockade works.
- 18:52So you got all these ships, nearly two dozen of them, uh tried to get past the blockade.
- 18:58Uh, then uh after they were warned several times.
- 19:01Well, the captains of those ships decided, you know what, we better turn around and go back where we came from, because those people in the United States Navy mean business.
- 19:12Now they really know we mean business.
- 19:17But this may happen again and again.
- 19:19Now, look, after we put the hole in the engine room of that ship, uh it's incredible that the uh the Iranian government, instead of, you know, kind of at the very least keeping quiet, they just double down on, well, we're gonna get even with you.
- 19:36Wait, America, wait, America's Navy, we're coming for you.
- 19:40Uh, you have no idea the power of the Iranian government.
- 19:43Watch, we're gonna do what we must do in order to sink one of your ships and cause so much havoc for the United States Navy, you're gonna turn around, not us.
- 19:55They're nuts.
- 19:56They're crazy.
- 19:57Believe me, folks, I'm not saying this uh uh uh uh in any uninsincere way.
- 20:04I really think they're out of their minds.
- 20:06You know, when you have a government uh that is uh being controlled by nobody knows, by the way, that that's another fact.
- 20:14There are so many things going on in Iran.
- 20:16I we've got reports that the uh a number of uh Iranian government leaders, including their military leaders are fighting with each other, a lot of infighting, who's in charge, who's in control.
- 20:27There seems to be no central government, no central uh governing body, no one leader.
- 20:35You know, the uh elder Khomeini we took out, the younger one I understand is uh was uh seriously injured in a bombing.
- 20:42Uh you've got other leaders who were serious injured or killed in a bombing.
- 20:46So you got all these little fiefdoms running around saying, well, you know, you got somebody in southern Iran, let's do this, Western Iran, let's do that.
- 20:53Now you got the IRGC, the military taking control.
- 20:57Look, you know, I'm not even gonna call them a military.
- 20:59I don't know what to call them.
- 21:00Know what they're calling.
- 21:00A bunch of street thugs that you gave weapons to are no match for the United States Marines.
- 21:00A bunch of street dogs that you gave weapons to are no match for the United States Marines.
- 21:07How about this, folks?
- 21:07How about this, folks?
- 21:08In my view, no match for Hell's Angels in California.
- 21:08In my view, no match for Hell's Angels in California.
- 21:11What do that?
- 21:11What did that what do you think of that, folks?
- 21:12What do you think of that, folks?
- 21:14I hope they're listening.
- 21:14I hope they're listening.
- 21:15Look at I have heard from a lot of my sources that the uh enemies of the United States, which include, by the way, the Iranian government at this point and communist China.
- 21:15Look at I have heard from a lot of my sources that um the uh enemies of the United States, which include, by the way, the Iranian government at this point and communist China, they just about monitor everything.
- 21:28They just about monitor everything that we're putting out.
- 21:31Everything.
- 21:32They want to hear what we're saying.
- 21:33They want to get an idea of what the American people are saying.
- 21:37And uh on and on and on.
- 21:39So hopefully, some way somehow, they'll intercept what I'm saying.
- 21:44And of course, uh, they're not gonna like what I'm saying.
- 21:48But that's the way it is.
- 21:50Freedom and liberty.
- 21:51They don't allow their people to do that.
- 21:53In fact, if their people dare to do that, they get hung in the in the town square.
- 21:57So everybody could see.
- 21:59I hope you're listening, because we're coming for you.
- 22:02The United States Navy is coming for you.
- 22:05The United States Marines are coming for you.
- 22:08Yeah, that's right.
- 22:10The Air Force, Space Force, Army, whoever we are coming for you.
- 22:15Yep.
- 22:16That's what I'm saying to the Iranian regime.
- 22:18And by the way, those military leaders, again, I'm using that word military.
- 22:22Well, what am I going to tell you folks?
- 22:24It just happens to come out.
- 22:26Uh, those begs in the IRGC, they need to understand that uh they have a very short lifespan.
- 22:35Again, I hope they're listening.
- 22:37Every single one of them should think about themselves and not about the maniacs who are controlling them.
- 22:43We're talking about their leaders.
- 22:44They're generals or colonels, whatever leading the RGC.
- 22:48They've got to understand that their lifespan is very, very, very short.
- 22:55Because we're coming for you.
- 22:57And I've heard, again, through sources that there is a lot of infighting because there are moderates in the Iranian leadership uh structure, and there are some moderates in the military who are saying, hey, look, maybe we need to sit down, and maybe we need to uh get to that negotiating table.
- 23:17Who knows?
- 23:17Who knows if that's going to happen?
- 23:19Uh, you know, another memo the Iranian government should have gotten, especially at this point in time, the RRGC.
- 23:26They ought to look at history.
- 23:27And uh, I believe the story was when the Japanese Imperial Navy was headed towards Hawaii, and uh things seemed to have gone wrong.
- 23:37Uh, when I believe it was Admiral Yamamoto heard that the full uh weight and power of the American public had risen up, and they ran to the factories and the production plants, and a massive production of arms was now taking place in America.
- 23:53I believe Yamamoto was quoted as saying to his government, and I'll quote to the best of my ability, if I recall it the right way.
- 24:03We have now awakened a sleeping giant.
- 24:08The Iranian government should have at least did a little little research in the history of those people who rose up against the United States and understand what they said and when they said it.
- 24:24I believe we have awakened a giant.
- 24:30Hmm.
- 24:31What do you think of that?
- 24:32Well, Iran, you have not yet wakened the American giant.
- 24:37And that's coming next.
- 24:40So, according to the Iranian regime, I'm not even going to call it a government no more.
- 24:45All right.
- 24:46Uh the Islamic Republic maintains authority over the Straits of Hermoz.
- 24:51That was yesterday.
- 24:52Today that's not happening.
- 24:54It's happened last week with that message.
- 24:56They lied, they misled everybody.
- 24:58They have control over nothing.
- 25:00They don't even have a control over themselves.
- 25:02I'm going to have control over the straits.
- 25:04They've warned that if the United States continues its blockade.
- 25:09Well, that we're going to pay a price.
- 25:12That's what they said.
- 25:13The Iran asserts that its hold on the straits is not going to be turned over to America.
- 25:20We got we got that straight right now.
- 25:21What are they talking about?
- 25:22What in the world are they talking about?
- 25:25You see, they're they're in another world.
- 25:27Their heads are in the clouds.
- 25:28You better watch out.
- 25:29You're going to get so high, uh, Iranian government in the clouds that you're gonna you're gonna be uh running into a B-52 bomber.
- 25:36Well, anyway, we've got uh gunboats out there, little little gunboats in Iran just running around all by themselves and trying to intimidate uh some pretty big uh ships, and they can, I'll tell you, those little boats, uh I'm sure one by one we're gonna be sinking them.
- 25:53Uh they do intimidate with some of the machine guns they have, uh those unarmed uh people on those cargo ships.
- 25:59So, you know, that's uh that's something that I fully understand.
- 26:03But again, this is the work of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard, and uh what are you gonna do?
- 26:09You know, they they got these little rowboats coming here and there, motor boats.
- 26:13I mean, we can't be everywhere.
- 26:15But Iran's leaders are about to lose control of the Strait of Hermoes, and I've got to tell you, they're about to lose control of their entire country.
- 26:26And that's the way it is, folks.
- 26:28They rather choose to die rather than to live.

- 32:02So again, uh, welcome and thank you for uh coming back.
- 32:06Uh look it, I want to talk a little bit about during the second half about friends, right?
- 32:11We we how many friends do you have?
- 32:13When you count on your finger, I'm sorry, you count on your hands, how many friends can you really count on?
- 32:20But I'm gonna talk to you about a friend that uh they're gonna go away.
- 32:23And whether you know it or not, this person is your friend through thick and through thin.
- 32:28Now I could tell you throughout my life, I have often wondered how to become a true friend to one person and one person only.
- 32:36And that person happens to be God.
- 32:39That's right.
- 32:40I remember at a as a young kid, I used to pray a lot.
- 32:43My parents brought me up uh to understand that there's a God above, that I'm accountable to him, and they would constantly share with me every day of your life, try to get closer and closer to him through prayer through reading your Bible.
- 32:58I remember we went to uh catechism classes and communion classes.
- 33:02So my my parents really uh uh grounded me uh as well as my brother and my sister when we were young uh in the holy word of God in the gospel of Jesus Christ.
- 33:14And so as time went on, I I truly wanted to uh get to know him personally.
- 33:19And I guess, like many, you know, I knew there was a God because my parents gave me a very well-grounded Christian education, and then they need to always pray and know that God was always watching over me.
- 33:34But I remember my mother used to say, on your right shoulder is God.
- 33:40On your left shoulder is the devil.
- 33:42Yeah, as a kid, as a young kid, she she would say this to us, uh kind of, you know, the the the right shoulder figure that's good.
- 33:49God's on that side, but scared the living daylights out of us that there was this little guy with a pitchfork and horns running around our left shoulder.
- 33:57Uh she said, always look to the right and know that he, meaning God is watching, and you will do what is right.
- 34:04And she was right.
- 34:05I figured, you know, when I was able to do something that I knew was wrong, I actually looked at my right shoulder, and then I kind of quick glance at the left shoulder and said, uh-uh.
- 34:17Uh-uh.
- 34:17It didn't always work that way, folks, but I gotta tell you, for the most part, I got uh a good education from mom and dad with regard to how to build a relationship with uh God Almighty.
- 34:28So as the years went on, I did uh grow older and uh had a hunger and thirst to really get to know God.
- 34:37And I think all of us at some point in time perhaps do that as we get older.
- 34:42But uh sometimes a lot of us don't.
- 34:44So in time I took a giant step forward.
- 34:47Yep.
- 34:47Took a long time, years, a couple of decades, maybe more than a couple decades.
- 34:52Not until I was in my 30s, I would suppose.
- 34:55I took a giant step forward when a fellow Christian had shown me what is written in the Bible in John 14 6.
- 35:00In the Bible in John 14 6.
- 35:02All right.
- 35:02All right.
- 35:03That is when uh this uh guy named Nicodemus comes along.
- 35:03That is when this guy named Nicodemus comes along.
- 35:07He was a leader in the government during the early New Testament days, Roman, Roman soldier, Roman centurion.
- 35:07He was a leader in the government uh during the um uh early New Testament days, Roman, Roman soldier, Roman Centurion, and he asked Christ, he says, Let me ask you something.
- 35:15And he asked Christ, he says, Let me ask you something.
- 35:17Basically, he he was saying, Well, how can I, how can I get uh close to you?
- 35:17Basically, he he was saying, Well, how can I how can I get uh close to you?
- 35:23How can I, you know, really become a follower of you?
- 35:23How can I, you know, really become a follower of you?
- 35:27And uh, you know, Jesus said, uh
- 35:27And uh, you know, Jesus said, uh, I am the way, the truth, and the life, and no one comes to the Father except through me.
- 35:36And he also said in another scripture in the book of John, unless a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of heaven.
- 35:44Frankly, what he was told by Jesus was unless a man understand fully from his heart, his soul, and his spirit, who God is, unless a man, including a woman, by the way, we use man uh, you know, in the plural sense, uh, and let's say man and woman get to know who God really is, get to know that he is in fact Jesus Christ, uh, you're not gonna be able to get to know him as a close friend.
- 36:12You can't just say, I believe in God, I believe in Jesus.
- 36:15You gotta say, well, you know what?
- 36:18I do more than just believe in him, I accept him.
- 36:22I accept him as my Lord and Savior.
- 36:25I accept him as who he is.
- 36:29That individual who shed his blood, crucified, died, was buried, shed his blood for me, so that my sins may be forgiven.
- 36:39That's what he did.
- 36:40This is facts, folks.
- 36:41This is not fantasy, this is not a novel.
- 36:43It's written in the word of God.
- 36:46So uh I knew I had to do something.
- 36:49I knew I had to accept Christ as my savior, my friend.
- 36:53Of course, the Bible says a man must be born again.
- 36:56Now, people think, oh, I'm gonna I don't want to change my religion, I don't want to be involved with these born again people and all that.
- 37:02You know, I heard it all, heard it all.
- 37:04Has nothing to do with that.
- 37:06Born again simply means that as Jesus said, a man's born of the water, right?
- 37:10Meaning we're born from our mother's womb, and then later in life, at a time that we may not even know is coming, but it'll come.
- 37:20A man is born of the spirit.
- 37:23Born again.
- 37:24We were already born of the the water, right?
- 37:26The mother's womb.
- 37:27So that's the first time, and then we're born again of the spirit.
- 37:31And that is when the Holy Spirit of God, all right, begins to move in our lives, move in our heart, our soul, and our spirits.
- 37:41That is when you get the message from God Almighty that He wants you to be His friend.
- 37:50So I did that.
- 37:51I came to Him, I came to Christ.
- 37:53I I I actually confessed to Him all of my sins.
- 37:58Some I remembered, and those who I didn't, I said, Well, you know what, Lord, you know what they are.
- 38:02Forgive me for not going down the whole list of a whole bunch of sins I've created, but I want you to know that I don't understand all of this uh this uh stuff, but uh I I'll accept, I'll accept your word on its face value, and I really want you to be and understand that I accept you as my personal friend and my savior.
- 38:22I believe you were crucified, you were died, you were buried, and most importantly, that you shed your bloods, your blood so that my sins may be forgiven.
- 38:33That's it.
- 38:34That's all you gotta do.
- 38:35God wants you to be your friend, and that's the kind of the first steps to be his friend.
- 38:40Remember what I just said at the book of John, right?
- 38:42I am the way, the truth, and the life.
- 38:44No one comes to the Father except through me, meaning through Jesus.
- 38:48You gotta be his friend.
- 38:49You guys can't say, Well, listen, I believe in God, okay.
- 38:53Are you his friend?
- 38:54Oh, yeah, I pray every day.
- 38:55Really?
- 38:56I don't care if you pray every day, go to church every day.
- 38:59If you're not being his friend from the heart, I mean from your heart, for goodness sakes, you're not much of a friend.
- 39:06Hmm.
- 39:06Pretty pretty heavy at times, right?
- 39:09But it's not that hard to show that you're his friend.
- 39:13You just say that prayer, that prayer, that confession of faith from your heart.
- 39:18Now, being friends with God isn't about keeping a bunch of rules or going through all sorts of religious motions.
- 39:25I I gotta tell you, over the years, you know, I I've I've begin to realize that there seems to be a lot of division in in churches these days.
- 39:34Who's got this rule?
- 39:36Who's got that rule?
- 39:37You can't do this, you can't do that, you gotta celebrate a certain ritual on a certain day.
- 39:43Uh you got to do this, you gotta do that.
- 39:45Jesus, he only set up 10 rules.
- 39:48Ten.
- 39:49All right.
- 39:50And out of those ten, when you put it all together, you realize, hey, this guy wants us to be his friend.
- 39:57You know, he gave Moses not a uh uh uh uh 10, 15, 20 volumes of rules and regulations.
- 40:05He goes Moses the Ten Commandments.
- 40:07He said, hey, share these with the people, and then they'll be my friend, a true friend.
- 40:14We can't even obey ten rules.
- 40:15So does one expect that we're gonna uh you know get ourselves involved with thousands, not hundreds, but thousands of rules and regulations.
- 40:24You got this religious institution, you got that one.
- 40:28You got this religious order, you got the other one.
- 40:30Oh, don't go there, they're crazy, don't go there, they're this, don't go there, they're that.
- 40:35I mean, on and on and on.
- 40:37All these different churches with all these doctrines, my goodness.
- 40:41And it gets worse.
- 40:43Oh, yeah, it gets worse.
- 40:44You know, having uh these religious institutions with doctrines that have a motive to get close to God, all right?
- 40:52They do, they have motives that, at least for the most part, I believe that they have motives to get the people to walk closer to God.
- 41:00So the motives are okay, all right?
- 41:02It's how they're getting there that's creating, I think, a lot of problems, a lot of division, a lot of confusion.
- 41:09And I've said over and over again, if the churches go back to talking about two topics, all right, two, only two.
- 41:16Talk about sin and talk about salvation.
- 41:19When you talk about sin, you're talking about the gateway to hell.
- 41:22When you're talking about salvation, you're talking about the gateway to heaven, which is Jesus Christ.
- 41:27Simple, right?
- 41:28There's a lot in the Bible.
- 41:30It could be a lifetime of stuff that they could preach about with regard to sin and salvation.
- 41:36But you don't hear much of that anymore.
- 41:38You hear a lot about obeying doctrines.
- 41:42You hear a lot about all kinds of uh stories that are are somewhat out of this world.
- 41:49And you want me to give you a couple of those stories, folks?
- 41:51How about this?
- 41:52How about uh uh, well, uh, Mr.
- 41:55and Mrs.
- 41:56John Doe were uh very, very, very uh uh financially strapped.
- 42:00Strapped.
- 42:00They came to my church and uh they gave us a seed of faith in the name of 500 and went home and there was a check in the mail for 5,000.
- 42:00They came to my church and uh they gave us a seed of faith in the name of 500 and went home and there was a check in the mail for 5,000.
- 42:10Yeah.
- 42:10Yeah, you've heard that, right?
- 42:11You've heard that, right?
- 42:12That's what's being preached.
- 42:12That's what's being preached.
- 42:13Well, I've got to tell you, those guys and those gals who are preaching that stuff, they got a lot to be held accountable for.
- 42:13Well, I've got to tell you, those guys and those gals who are preaching that stuff, they got a lot to be held accountable for, right?
- 42:19Right?
- 42:20Then you've got the others who will have uh Broadway shows in their churches, right?
- 42:20Then you've got the others who will have uh Broadway shows in their churches, right?
- 42:26To do what?
- 42:26To do what?
- 42:27To collect money.
- 42:27To collect money.
- 42:28You'll have a lot of them go to these big old
- 42:28You'll have a lot of them go to these big auditoriums, Madison Square Garden, and some of these stadiums.
- 42:33Man, they'll draw 10,000, 15,000 people in.
- 42:36And some of these guys who are supposed to be preaching the gospel, oh, they're preaching a gospel, all right.
- 42:41They're preaching their gospel, not the gospel of Jesus Christ.
- 42:46But you see what's going on today, folks?
- 42:48These these what's going on is that they're not preaching that we become a friend of God's.
- 42:55They're just preaching that God is an acquaintance who we could just go to when we need something to use him, right?
- 43:04To be to use him as a crutch for goodness sakes.
- 43:07That's right.
- 43:08If you're a friend of God, if you're a friend of Jesus Christ, he's not a crutch, he's your friend.
- 43:13And you'll know how to speak with him.
- 43:15And you know how you want to speak with him?
- 43:17You speak with him the way you feel comfortable about.
- 43:20No formal written script, for goodness sakes.
- 43:22You think you're in a Hollywood show and have a script?
- 43:25Oh, this is what I gotta do.
- 43:26This is the words that I gotta use with regard to my discussions with Jesus.
- 43:32No.
- 43:33You want an example?
- 43:35I'll give you an example.
- 43:36The way I talk to you, the way I talk to God.
- 43:39The way I talk to you, I have my conversations and coffee with Jesus.
- 43:43I do.
- 43:44I just lay it out to him.
- 43:45Hey, look it.
- 43:46I got some problems, some challenges here.
- 43:49If we're friends, which I believe we are, I expect some help here.
- 43:53And you know what?
- 43:55The Bible says, go boldly before his throne.
- 43:58If you're a true friend, you're gonna lay it out to him.
- 44:00But keep in mind, he's also gonna lay it out to you.
- 44:04But as a friend, he's already prepared you.
- 44:07The Holy Spirit has already prepared you to take some of the heat, if you will, from him.
- 44:11Hey, look, I rather take heat from God than from the devil.
- 44:14Taking heat from the devil, you're gonna get burned up alive.
- 44:16I mean, yeah, you're you're gonna, you're gonna get destroyed.
- 44:19I mean that.
- 44:20The Bible says the wages of sin is death.
- 44:23Your sin will find you out.
- 44:24How about preaching that stuff, Mr.
- 44:26Preacher?
- 44:27How about preaching that stuff?
- 44:28Oh, I can't preach that.
- 44:30Why can't you?
- 44:30Oh, they'll leave the church fews.
- 44:32They won't come back to church next week.
- 44:34Well, good.
- 44:35Then send them off.
- 44:36Let them go do their thing.
- 44:37They'll come back.
- 44:38And if they don't come back, the Holy Spirit of God will lead people to your church because you are preaching truth.
- 44:44That's the way it is, folks.
- 44:46I want to go to a church where I'm gonna be told about Jesus Christ and how I could be friends with this guy.
- 44:53Why?
- 44:53Oh, you call him this guy?
- 44:55Yeah, call him this guy.
- 44:56What's wrong with that?
- 44:59Yes, I pay homage and reverence to him as a king.
- 45:02He's my buddy.
- 45:04He's my friend, and I gotta tell you.
- 45:06Up to recently, up to recently, I'm telling you, folks, he has answered just about every single prayer that I've prayed when I truly got close to him and getting closer to him every day.
- 45:18Now, some of those answers to my prayers, you know what, aren't what I expected?
- 45:24Like I expected, oh, I'm praying for A instead of B, right?
- 45:28Oh, I want A to come, A to come, A to come.
- 45:31But he sends B.
- 45:33And I'm thinking, hmm, what is this?
- 45:36And I find out later, B is better than A in this case, right?
- 45:41He knows what's best.
- 45:42That's why it's thy will be done.
- 45:45All things work together, says the book of Romans 8 28.
- 45:49All things work together for those who love the Lord thy God according to his will.
- 45:54In other words, all things work together for the good for those, in my view, our true friend of Jesus Christ.
- 46:02Yep.
- 46:02Our true friend of Jesus Christ.
- 46:04And you will understand quickly why he doesn't give us exactly the things that we want the way we want it.
- 46:12Because no doubt my mind, most of the time it would hurt us.
- 46:16But he gives us a lot of what we want, but the way he delivers it, not the way we want it delivered.
- 46:25So again, being friends with God isn't about keeping a bunch of rules or getting through some sort of religious motions.
- 46:32We see a lot of that around the world.
- 46:34It's about a real personal relationship.
- 46:37Where he, this is where he delights in you.
- 46:41God, I'm sure at times God gets a kick out of me.
- 46:44And I'm sure he gets a kick out of a lot of people.
- 46:46He delights in me.
- 46:48Why?
- 46:48Because I joke around with him.
- 46:49I really do, folks.
- 46:50That's how personal I get with him.
- 46:53And I gotta tell you, he has a way of joking around with me.
- 46:57He communicates, folks, to all of us through his word.
- 47:00And I gotta tell you, there is a Holy Spirit that's dwells in all of us.
- 47:04I believe the Holy Spirit's a person.
- 47:06I believe in angels.
- 47:07I believe that certain things happened in our life.
- 47:10I sometimes think look up to the sky and say, Man, are you a funny guy?
- 47:15That's how personal you can get with God.
- 47:17He's not walking around with a hammer to hammer your head in over doing something wrong.
- 47:21You do something wrong, you say, hey, come over here.
- 47:23Let's have a talk.
- 47:24And when you're that personal with him, you will get the message.
- 47:29And you learn to delight in him.
- 47:31So he delights in you, and you get to delight in him.
- 47:34I get a kick out of God.
- 47:36I I gotta tell you, I'm involved, as you know, in a lot of stuff.
- 47:39Radio, TV, with the United States military, this and that.
- 47:43The best times of my life are sitting quietly at three in the morning with my German shepherd and with God.
- 47:50Now, don't say anything to my wife about that.
- 47:53You know, I mean, you know, I uh I don't want to get ripped off of that.
- 47:56Uh you know, my wife is in bed at three o'clock in the morning sleeping.
- 48:00And if she was up, believe me, she would be with me.
- 48:03Boy, did I just step into it.
- 48:05Ah, I'm only for I'm only joking, folks, all right?
- 48:08You know what I mean.
- 48:09So, so I'm with my dog, all right.
- 48:13I'm with my Bible.
- 48:15I'm talking to God, having a cup of coffee, and then when my wife gets up, she joins us at a reasonable hour, and you know, the three of us.
- 48:24We're talking to God.
- 48:25Well, I should say the two of us are talking to God, and of course the dog is staring at us, wondering who the heck we're talking to.
- 48:31But you see how personal things could get.
- 48:32You're gonna have fun, enjoy Christ, enjoy God, enjoy him.
- 48:37The Bible says he delights in you, and you could delight in him.
- 48:41That's how personal I am with him.
- 48:43That's why people ask me, how come you're so happy all the time?
- 48:45You're always, you know, uh you're you're just always bringing the glass of water half full.
- 48:51Because Jesus is not just half full, he is full of delight, full of hope, full of love.
- 49:00He's a great guy, for goodness sakes.
- 49:00He's a great guy, for goodness sakes.
- 49:02I mean that, folks.
- 49:02I mean that, folks.
- 49:04And he delights in you.
- 49:04And he delights in you.
- 49:07And we delight in him, don't we?
- 49:07And we delight in him, don't we?
- 49:11So uh, no more layers of rituals, just a genuine heartfelt friendship.
- 49:11So no more layers of rituals, just a genuine, heartfelt friendship.
- 49:17What do you think of that?
- 49:17What do you think of that?
- 49:18What do you think of that?
- 49:18What do you think of that?
- 49:20I gotta tell you, it's the way things were when he was around, the way he preached things, and today that's not happening.
- 49:20I gotta tell you, it's the way things were when he was around, the way he preached things, and today that's not happening.
- 49:26And that friendship between man and God, by the way, globally.
- 49:26And that friendship between man and God, by the way, globally, you know, that fell apart a long time ago.
- 49:34Because we didn't have to go through, you know, trying to explain to people how they could become friendly with God, friendly with Jesus Christ.
- 49:42Because it automatically happened until until sin entered the picture at a place called the Garden of Eden.
- 49:49And after a person named Eve, and may I add Adam, you know, he doesn't escape this either.
- 49:54Some people say Adam didn't do it, nothing.
- 49:56Another guy, all right?
- 49:57Another guy that uh didn't do what he was told, who Adam and Eve, they had an automatic friendship, I mean genuine friendship with God in the garden.
- 50:10Well, until they decided to uh, you know what, God uh we're gonna be busy with somebody else for a while, we'll see you later.
- 50:18And you know what they did?
- 50:19They befriended the devil.
- 50:21We all know the story, right?
- 50:22One moment, one moment in time, one bit of temptation, and they gave in to sin.
- 50:31And then that became an entryway into their lives and into the whole world that separated man from God.
- 50:41So sin became the roadblock to a friendship, I mean a real genuine friendship with God.
- 50:48But the loving God we have, the personal God we have, decided to do something about that and sent his son to this earth to die for your sin and my sin, so that we could now in this century delight in him and he delight in us, provided, provided we again accept the fact that he was crucified, died, and was buried, and forgave us for our sins by shedding his blood.
- 51:20The roadblock was removed, folks.
- 51:22It was removed by the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
- 51:29So don't you think that's a true friend?
- 51:33Think about it.
- 51:34Would you go get crucified for somebody?
- 51:37Would you actually give up your life for somebody else?
- 51:41I'll tell you what, that's a tough question to answer.
- 51:44But I must tell you, at this point in time in my life, if I knew what was on the line, my I mean, my true, real uncompromising relationship with Jesus Christ, because I know I would be going to heaven.
- 51:59I don't think I would hesitate in saying, hey, look, you know what?
- 52:03Take it then.
- 52:04I'm not going to deny Christ.
- 52:06Just expedite myself to heaven.
- 52:08That's what I say now.
- 52:10I pray that day would never come, but I won't know.
- 52:12None of us will know until that day comes.
- 52:14But right now, my mindset as uh living as long as I could, serving Christ in the capacity and the assignment on earth he gave me, spreading the good news as part of that job, and then uh when my time's up, my time's up.
- 52:27And if I have to sacrifice my life, which I understood when I was a police officer, when I was in the military, then so be it.
- 52:35One way ticket to heaven.
- 52:37John 15, 13.
- 52:40Greater love has no man than this, but to lay down one's life for a friend.
- 52:47He did that.
- 52:48He did that.
- 52:48Are we willing to do that for him?
- 52:51Hmm.
- 52:52It's a tough question to answer.
- 52:54I get it.
- 52:55But it gives you a food for thought, doesn't it?
- 52:58Moving forward.
- 52:59Real friendship sticks with you through thick and through thin.
- 53:04Whether you're on a mountaintop of joy or down in a valley of despair, a true friend does not walk away.
- 53:11And I would venture to say that Jesus never walked away from me.
- 53:16I tell you what, folks, I've walked away from him a few times.
- 53:19Not in the past, uh, I'd say not in the past uh maybe 10 years.
- 53:25You know, I'd say maybe at times I walked away from him unintentionally, doing things that I shouldn't do and say, hmm, we all do that.
- 53:32But we're all sinners, and I say, yeah, forgive me.
- 53:34Forgive me, I blew it this time.
- 53:36But I'm talking about really walking away from him, disregarding his sovereignty and supporting uh evil things.
- 53:44You know, people do that, they're really walking away from God.
- 53:47But I can, you know, admit that at times I walked away from him, but I learned never ever to do that again.
- 53:55Proverbs 1824.
- 53:57A man that has friends must show himself friendly.
- 54:01And there is a friend, and listen to this, that sticks closer to you than a brother.
- 54:08And guess who that is?
- 54:10His name is Jesus Christ.
- 54:12There's a friend that sticketh closer to you than a brother.
- 54:18So, how do you become his friend?
- 54:20How do you become God's real personal friend?
- 54:23Well, draw close to him.
- 54:25I really mean it, folks.
- 54:26James 4.8 says, draw near to God, and he will draw near to you.
- 54:31Now, how do you draw near to him?
- 54:34Pray.
- 54:34But how do I pray?
- 54:36People ask.
- 54:36Talk to him like I am.
- 54:38This is a prayer.
- 54:38When I'm talking to God, I say, Lord, here's my needs.
- 54:42Here's my desires.
- 54:44This is what I'd like to do in life.
- 54:46Or I need help to pass that test.
- 54:49I need help through a medical issue, through a marital issue, and on and on and on.
- 54:53I need that help.
- 54:54And I'm coming to you in faith for your help.
- 54:57That's what you got to do.
- 54:58You don't have to go through a long sermon.
- 55:00That's all you got to do.
- 55:02Spend time in prayer, right?
- 55:04So remember, have those conversations with him and talk to him every day.
- 55:08I do.
- 55:09Let him know how you feel.
- 55:11You remember what the Bible says, ask, seek and knock.
- 55:13Take the word ask, take the word seek, take the word knock.
- 55:17Take the first letter in each of those words, A S-K, ask, ask, ask.
- 55:24He's ready to answer.
- 55:26You receive not because you ask not.
- 55:30So get alone with him.
- 55:32And I'll tell you what.
- 55:34If you can, yeah, get on your knees.
- 55:36All right, if you're comfortable, nothing wrong with that.
- 55:38I recommend we do that often, okay?
- 55:41But it's not mandatory.
- 55:42A lot of times I'll sit in a chair.
- 55:44You know, sometimes I'll pray in my car to him.
- 55:47Talking to him.
- 55:49Because that's what a friend does.
- 55:50You don't go through this long ritual.
- 55:53You don't go through the long script.
- 55:55Yet talk to him.
- 55:56You have a conversation with him for goodness sakes.
- 55:59He's listening, and he answers.
- 56:00And he answers.
- 56:02God is not just your father or creator or savior.
- 56:02God is not just your father or creator or savior.
- 56:08He is your friend.
- 56:08He is your friend.
- 56:10And now it's up to us to be his friend.
- 56:10And now it's up to us to be his friend.
- 56:14John 15, 15.
- 56:14John 15 15, I have said these things to you, so that my joy may be in you, and that your joy may be full.
- 56:16I have said these things to you, so that my joy may be in you, and that your joy may be full.
- 56:24What do you think of that?
- 56:24What do you think of that?
- 56:26A friend really brings you joy.
- 56:26A friend really brings you joy.
- 56:29Take care, my friend.
- 56:31God bless you.
- 56:33Remember, go to him, talk to him today.
- 56:37Today, not tomorrow, not next week.
- 56:39Today.
- 56:40Become his friend.
- 56:44He'd wait for you.
- 56:45God bless you all.
- 56:46Thank you for listening.
