- 0:25Super dope. Guys what is going on?
- 0:28I am so pumped because I've never done a video like this
- 0:30before, but I use tech daily, like I use tech all the time.
- 0:34So I'm going to go down now and break down some of the the tech
- 0:37that I think that you should definitely look out for a Cyber
- 0:39Monday. Because look, this climate, this
- 0:41economic climate, we're all looking to grab a bargain,
- 0:43right? And there's no greater time to
- 0:45get a good bargain than when Cyber Monday is happening,
- 0:48especially the people on the other spectrum who will need
- 0:51assistive technology to help them.
- 0:52Because technology has saved my life.
- 0:54And I mean that. OK, before I had an iPad and A
- 0:57and A and an iPhone or a smart watch Or or not, I was.
- 1:00Completely useless, like I couldn't remember to take.
- 1:02On medication, I couldn't always get up.
- 1:03I couldn't always go to class. My life is pretty much a must.
- 1:06These assistive technologies, these accessibility technologies
- 1:10have changed my life and I just wish I had heard about them
- 1:13earlier. So here's my recommendations,
- 1:14what you should be looking out for if you don't already have
- 1:16them. OK, so the first one is
- 1:18communication apps and devices. Communication devices, You can
- 1:22get different ones for autism, They'll be like small like iPad
- 1:25things or you can buy like a tablet.
- 1:27So any tablet would do you get a tablet, it could be an Android
- 1:31tablet, it could be an Amazon tablet, or it could be a Apple
- 1:34tablet like the the iPad. And you can get apps for these
- 1:38like Proloto to go. I hope I'm saying that right,
- 1:41which is an app that allows you to hit symbols and it will speak
- 1:45for you. But if you don't have that app,
- 1:47you can actually just use the tablet to type out a word,
- 1:51highlight it, and get the actual tablet to speak for you.
- 1:54The accessibility functions of tablets have just absolutely,
- 1:57exponentially increased. You know, if you have an issue
- 2:00with typing, say you're dyslexic as well as autistic.
- 2:02I use mine to dictate to my phone or my iPad and it will
- 2:05type that out for me. I wrote my book Autism for
- 2:09Adults, which came out this year, September 26th.
- 2:12Now, Autism for Adults was written completely by me talking
- 2:15to my iPhone. What's running on a treadmill?
- 2:18Absolutely amazing. And that kind of.
- 2:20Technology. It's just absolutely mind
- 2:22blowing, so definitely keep an eye out for tablets and apps for
- 2:25communication. The next one is sensory friendly
- 2:27devices. Now you can find a lot of
- 2:29different types of things like bubble lamps, strip lights.
- 2:31I have a bunch of different lights in my you can see some
- 2:34behind me here. And those are so good because
- 2:37you can take change down the warmth of them, you can change
- 2:39down the the brightness of them, you can change the colour of
- 2:42them, you can have them match to music, make it really ambient
- 2:45and also big to double. Amnesties are so good for
- 2:48century friendly houses or century friendly rooms and
- 2:51environments. I highly recommend checking them
- 2:52out because these are always really good ones that are on
- 2:55deal on Cyber Monday. Definitely check that out guys.
- 2:57If you are interested in anything you're talking about
- 2:59right now. I'm going to try and leave a
- 3:01link to everything on Amazon that I think is handy dandy for
- 3:04you guys so that you can actually check it out.
- 3:06So check the description, see the link and come Cyber Monday,
- 3:09if it's on your watch list and it's been reduced, then you'll
- 3:12get an alert from Amazon saying hey, 1000 item in your watch
- 3:15list has been reduced, which is super dope.
- 3:17OK. So before we get any further, do
- 3:18you want to say thank you to? Today's video sponsor, Brilliant
- 3:21Now Brilliant, is a non prescription homeopathic
- 3:24medication I use specifically for ADHD, but you can use it
- 3:28mainly for things like anxiety and stress and reduced feelings
- 3:31of restlessness, irritability and impulsivity, which is also a
- 3:34really good bonus. Now the cool thing is that this
- 3:36actually helps increase focus and concentration, which I think
- 3:39is awesome and it's completely like there's no nasties in it.
- 3:42This is not addictive. Super supernatural, right?
- 3:44So you can get your hands on this from the link in
- 3:47description down below and I will give you a discount, which
- 3:50you can use the code SP15 to get 15% off your first purchase.
- 3:54If you are thinking about taking brilliant, consult with your
- 3:57doctor first just to make sure that everything's kosher.
- 3:59OK guys, let's get on with the video.
- 4:02OK, so the next thing is educational or learning apps.
- 4:05Now, there are so many educational apps and learning
- 4:07apps, and what happens usually a Cyber Monday is that the app
- 4:10stores will have this discount rate or they'll have a
- 4:13percentage off of different types of apps.
- 4:15This could be things like the language and speech apps that
- 4:19could be learning for reading and writing.
- 4:20Especially if you've got a tablet, you'd be like using a
- 4:22stylus to read and write. Then it could be educational
- 4:25apps that could help you boost things, like, you know, maybe
- 4:28it's English, or maybe it's mathematics, or maybe it's
- 4:30science. Keep on lookout for these apps
- 4:32because they're always a winner. So the next one is behavioural
- 4:35tracking and other types of wearable tech.
- 4:38Now wearable tech like a smart watch or or maybe like a Fitbit
- 4:41tracker. These are really good for
- 4:43something. Now the thing that I find really
- 4:45good at them is you can set up alarms that if your heart rate
- 4:47is increased or it raises, it can send you a little bit of an
- 4:50alert and tells you to chill out and take a step back and do some
- 4:53breathing. That's fantastic for me it's
- 4:56been amazing. Every time my heart increases
- 4:58and it knows that I'm about to melt down, my Apple Watch or my
- 5:01smart watch will say to me, hey, take some time, take a breath.
- 5:03We can even do relaxation apps on the watch.
- 5:06So different. Lookout for those wearable tech
- 5:08behavioral trackers. They're super awesome and they
- 5:11double up as watches and like fitness exercise things.
- 5:13These are really, really good to keep track of all your data and
- 5:17how your heart is fluctuating. OK, so these are the last two of
- 5:20my favorites. You the first one is the virtual
- 5:22reality. Now I'm a huge virtual reality
- 5:24buff. Like I have a Metaquest Pro.
- 5:26I'm going to Metquest 2 and I'm also going to buy the Metaquest
- 5:292 when it comes out. And the new Apple Vision, the,
- 5:32ER, mixed reality glasses. But the reason I find it so
- 5:35interesting is because there seems like job simulators on VR
- 5:38headsets. You can play games, attracting
- 5:40people socially. Be who you want to be.
- 5:42The actual accessibility of having virtual reality headsets
- 5:46opens the door to so much possibilities and learnings.
- 5:49You can play things like Minecraft in VR.
- 5:51You can meet friends in in whole new worlds and and really
- 5:54interact with them and build social confidence.
- 5:56This thing has been amazing for me.
- 5:57I think without VR technology, I think my life would be a lot
- 6:02more confined to just room. But now me and my entire team,
- 6:06we work here on the as we will. We have access to each other
- 6:09through VR and we can sit in like an office in a virtual
- 6:11environment and it's absolutely amazing.
- 6:13So definitely look out for things like the Metaquest and
- 6:15the Pico. Those two are probably the
- 6:17biggest ones right now. So I'll try and come down below
- 6:19again. And the last one and I actually
- 6:21love this smart home technology. Jen Alexa, Google Home Hub or a
- 6:26Siri speaker. These are amazing and they're so
- 6:28affordable. OK, guys.
- 6:29I'll see you in the next video. Peace.
