- 0:03Speaker 1: This is a podcast called twenty five wist no whist,
- 0:10Speaker 1: So yeah, it's too bad, but what did you expect.
- 0:13Speaker 1: It's a podcast called twenty five Whistles Wine.
- 0:18Speaker 2: Sorry about that. I was only who yelled sports.
- 0:21Speaker 3: Thanks you guys.
- 0:21Speaker 1: I think this, Kevin, thank you for we did.
- 0:23Speaker 4: I saw you guys not doing I was like, oh,
- 0:25Speaker 4: I'm out.
- 0:26Speaker 2: We met yel sports. I was pulling up build the whistle, thanks.
- 0:30Speaker 2: I was pulling up on Instagram from our twenty five
- 0:34Speaker 2: Whistles account, and I did the bit Bobby's pitch to
- 0:39Speaker 2: make extra time better in soccer, and I started with, Hey,
- 0:45Speaker 2: I'm an American, I know nothing about soccer, and so
- 0:48Speaker 2: I'm being stupid. But here's what I would do. And
- 0:50Speaker 2: people got so butt heart at that. So I saw
- 0:53Speaker 2: that It's like who cares is to get over it.
- 0:56Speaker 2: I also said this is stupid. So it wasn't me going,
- 1:00Speaker 2: you know, I'm an expert, this is what I would do.
- 1:02Speaker 2: It was me going, hey, I'm an idiot, and here's
- 1:05Speaker 2: what I suggest doing. So would you like to hear
- 1:07Speaker 2: some of them? Which, by the way, it just it
- 1:11Speaker 2: blew up here. Okay, but well now some people are
- 1:16Speaker 2: adding other good ideas. If you don't look for a
- 1:19Speaker 2: while and you go it's kind of turned. Somebody goes, wow,
- 1:23Speaker 2: oh my idea was you start pulling somebody every few minutes,
- 1:27Speaker 2: one player on each team every few minutes. Sounds wow,
- 1:30Speaker 2: phenomenally bad idea.
- 1:33Speaker 1: M funny.
- 1:37Speaker 2: Let's see now they're a good There are people going
- 1:39Speaker 2: that's a good idea. Well crap. I wasn't expecting that. Yeah,
- 1:42Speaker 2: some people are. I think it got to the stupid
- 1:43Speaker 2: part of the internet after a while. I think the
- 1:45Speaker 2: people that had soccer on the algorithm got it first,
- 1:47Speaker 2: and then stupid people got a second.
- 1:49Speaker 3: The American got it.
- 1:50Speaker 2: That's the most idiotic thing. Here's another one. I pray
- 1:54Speaker 2: as an American who doesn't know or watch soccer. Here's
- 1:56Speaker 2: the rule I would change is the past code to
- 1:58Speaker 2: go to hell.
- 2:02Speaker 1: It's funny.
- 2:03Speaker 2: This is efing stupid. You are right, you have no
- 2:05Speaker 2: idea what you're talking about. It's good how all these
- 2:07Speaker 2: Americans have so many great fixes to fix a sport
- 2:09Speaker 2: that's been around for thousands of years. Again, you said
- 2:12Speaker 2: you know nothing. You are moron.
- 2:15Speaker 1: It's just basically h so good time.
- 2:18Speaker 4: You want to hear my favorite comment? Yeah, this is
- 2:21Speaker 4: why your podcast isn't doing good?
- 2:23Speaker 1: Dang is hey are we not doing good?
- 2:26Speaker 2: It's Pat McAfee.
- 2:28Speaker 4: Oh Pat, I was on YouTube.
- 2:31Speaker 2: Is that where it was? Yeah? Oh YouTube, We do
- 2:34Speaker 2: struggle over there.
- 2:36Speaker 1: Yeah, so they saw the numbers.
- 2:37Speaker 3: Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah, suck.
- 2:38Speaker 2: We struggle over on YouTube. Yeah, that's the place we
- 2:41Speaker 2: destroyed that. So he has a point. Okay, but he
- 2:43Speaker 2: said podcasts. Yeah, but some people's podcasts are only on YouTube.
- 2:47Speaker 4: Oh right.
- 2:48Speaker 1: I will say though, for a sport that's been around
- 2:50Speaker 1: for thousands of years, like they say, some of the
- 2:52Speaker 1: rules are pretty dump. You know.
- 2:54Speaker 2: I do think things need eventually to change too, like
- 2:57Speaker 2: we don't just need to leave things because but okay,
- 3:00Speaker 2: I just want to start with that. I did watch
- 3:02Speaker 2: a little bit of soccer.
- 3:03Speaker 3: Who what no Argentina game.
- 3:07Speaker 2: That's yeah, good wye. I flipped it when it was
- 3:09Speaker 2: an extra time Robin was going extra time, because that's
- 3:11Speaker 2: all I said I would do.
- 3:12Speaker 1: You're not watching the regular note.
- 3:14Speaker 3: I thought of you as a wind extra time.
- 3:16Speaker 2: So I went over on the ESPN app it was
- 3:18Speaker 2: going into extra time and so the way we went
- 3:20Speaker 2: and then it was like no goal, it was then
- 3:23Speaker 2: was over.
- 3:23Speaker 3: I know, that goal is unbelievable. Which one the Argentina
- 3:26Speaker 3: the first one to go ahead from outside the box,
- 3:30Speaker 3: like into the corner.
- 3:31Speaker 1: That's where you hit the pole the side pool, and
- 3:33Speaker 1: it just bounced right in I don't.
- 3:34Speaker 3: Even remember, in the corner, top corner an extra time,
- 3:37Speaker 3: I mean the goal, dude, it was the golden wind goal.
- 3:40Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 3:40Speaker 3: But they scored another one too. Yeah, that was like
- 3:42Speaker 3: a yeah, like a mop up goal. But the first
- 3:44Speaker 3: one to go ahead was unbelievable.
- 3:46Speaker 2: All I wants penalty kicks, so I was just turning
- 3:48Speaker 2: it on so we could get the penalty kick.
- 3:49Speaker 1: Yeah, and then Messi didn't score, so it's kind of like, oh,
- 3:52Speaker 1: it wasn't Messi.
- 3:52Speaker 3: All right, Yeah, I get that, but damn, that was
- 3:55Speaker 3: probably the best goal I've ever seen watching the game live.
- 3:59Speaker 2: I don't even remember it, and I watched it. I
- 4:02Speaker 2: know there are a lot of goals always. When they
- 4:04Speaker 2: showed the replay, I'm like, man, he just barely missed
- 4:06Speaker 2: that guy's foot because everybody's trying to block it with
- 4:08Speaker 2: their feet. Yeah, like for a goal to go, it's
- 4:10Speaker 2: got to miss everything. So that's a real stupid thing
- 4:13Speaker 2: to say. But because whatever. Man. I did go over
- 4:20Speaker 2: and dabble a little bit on the Belgium England game.
- 4:23Speaker 2: I just wanted to see how good we really were,
- 4:25Speaker 2: and England was way better than Belgium. That ball hit
- 4:28Speaker 2: the line. Look like it hits the line to me?
- 4:29Speaker 2: That that cable.
- 4:30Speaker 1: On top, Oh the camera cable, Norway.
- 4:33Speaker 2: That was Norway, Norway. Good, thank you Belgium.
- 4:35Speaker 3: Spain.
- 4:36Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, Spain. I didn't watch that game at all.
- 4:38Speaker 3: Me neither.
- 4:39Speaker 1: Do you think the ball hit the cable when you
- 4:41Speaker 1: watch it live?
- 4:41Speaker 2: Let me say why I was watching. I went to
- 4:43Speaker 2: go watch the Nordic track guy. Yes, early, Yeah, I
- 4:47Speaker 2: went to flip on to see how he was going
- 4:49Speaker 2: to do and so I No, I didn't see it live,
- 4:53Speaker 2: but they kept talking about it. So I went and
- 4:54Speaker 2: pursued the clip. It looked like it hit the line
- 4:55Speaker 2: in the clip.
- 4:56Speaker 1: Yeah, it looked like that.
- 4:57Speaker 2: They said, our balls just so advanced it didn't hit
- 4:59Speaker 2: the line.
- 5:00Speaker 1: So I'm surprised that not. They played how many games
- 5:02Speaker 1: at Cowboys Stadium and not one has hit the screen yet?
- 5:05Speaker 2: Pretty high though, right, remember really high punts you really
- 5:09Speaker 2: got to aim for it.
- 5:11Speaker 1: I'm just waiting for them to be like, what kind
- 5:12Speaker 1: of place this is?
- 5:13Speaker 2: This drop kicked it, So that's pretty much soccer talk
- 5:16Speaker 2: for me. Yeah, five minutes.
- 5:18Speaker 3: What do you think of their hauland push? That goal
- 5:20Speaker 3: they got called back.
- 5:22Speaker 2: I didn't watch it live because I turned it on
- 5:25Speaker 2: way later. That was an early goal, right.
- 5:26Speaker 3: Yeah, I think we'll be like ten minutes into the
- 5:29Speaker 3: second half.
- 5:30Speaker 2: Didn't Okay, that's early for me. When I turned it on.
- 5:34Speaker 2: They it was later and they took him out.
- 5:36Speaker 1: I know, so again call me stupid, okay, but they
- 5:41Speaker 1: took him out because he was was there an injury?
- 5:44Speaker 2: No, tired, stupid, just tired.
- 5:48Speaker 1: That's another reason for me to be like, what, well.
- 5:50Speaker 2: You don't get a break in soccer, which I think
- 5:52Speaker 2: is kind of weird. Like in every other sport you
- 5:53Speaker 2: can come out for a minute, basketball, go have a seat,
- 5:56Speaker 2: uh baseball, well in between innings.
- 5:58Speaker 1: But like you're the star player, yeah, and this is
- 6:02Speaker 1: could be the last game of your World Cup run
- 6:05Speaker 1: and you're tired.
- 6:06Speaker 2: If that's why they pulled them, then it had to be.
- 6:10Speaker 2: They had a limited time to score. They needed people
- 6:12Speaker 2: that could run.
- 6:14Speaker 1: Yeah, fresh leg.
- 6:15Speaker 3: Yeah that's what I think.
- 6:16Speaker 1: I mean.
- 6:16Speaker 3: I'm just speculating because he's like their scorer.
- 6:19Speaker 1: Because I thought he was injured. I'm like, okay, if
- 6:20Speaker 1: you're injured, okay, I understand. But then after the game
- 6:23Speaker 1: was over.
- 6:24Speaker 2: That literally could have been I just saw him pull
- 6:25Speaker 2: him and I was like, well.
- 6:25Speaker 1: I'm out of here, not watching this anymore.
- 6:28Speaker 2: I'm out of here. I have no interest, Like, who
- 6:30Speaker 2: do I care about now? It's playing Hollin's out America.
- 6:33Speaker 2: That's I'll look and I'll look and see how it went. No,
- 6:38Speaker 2: if they're extra goals, what do you call it? Penalty kicks?
- 6:42Speaker 2: But I see that coming up, I'll turn it on.
- 6:44Speaker 2: I'm not a hater, just not for me.
- 6:45Speaker 1: I get it because this is it Final four, right.
- 6:47Speaker 2: Crazy that French France wins so much?
- 6:49Speaker 3: Yeah, why, Like you wouldn't think they'd be good at soccer,
- 6:53Speaker 3: small country and they're all like French.
- 6:57Speaker 1: They're not always dominant, are they they.
- 7:00Speaker 2: I looked at the trophy grid. They've won this like
- 7:02Speaker 2: four or five times in the past twenty World Cups.
- 7:06Speaker 1: Oh wow, Okay, they've.
- 7:08Speaker 2: Been in the final four a bunch.
- 7:09Speaker 1: Yeah, because I thought, I know, they've been good in
- 7:12Speaker 1: recent years, so I just figured, like, you know, and
- 7:14Speaker 1: bop in this crew is.
- 7:16Speaker 2: Really they've won trophies before. According to the graphic that
- 7:18Speaker 2: I saw, It's all it was, was a graphic Instagram.
- 7:21Speaker 1: Well then, yeah, to be true.
- 7:23Speaker 2: Enough soccer talk. We'll talk to you FC now something
- 7:25Speaker 2: I know a little more about, but not still a lot.
- 7:27Speaker 1: Did you watch? Please tell me what.
- 7:30Speaker 2: I was rooting for Patty and he did it win?
- 7:34Speaker 1: Patty dominated quickly.
- 7:35Speaker 2: I'm just not gonna stay awake.
- 7:37Speaker 1: It was what I was just talking to Kevin about this. Guys.
- 7:40Speaker 1: It was like ten o'clock.
- 7:41Speaker 4: It was too late.
- 7:42Speaker 3: It was ten thirty pm.
- 7:44Speaker 1: Guys on a Saturday night. I know, I know we're older.
- 7:48Speaker 1: I get it, we're older, But ten o'clock on a
- 7:50Speaker 1: Saturday night, you can stay up and watch this.
- 7:53Speaker 2: I'm asleep at ten o'clock on a Saturday night, for sure.
- 7:56Speaker 1: You know.
- 7:57Speaker 2: I think you've forgotten what it's like to have babies.
- 7:58Speaker 1: Yes, no, oh no, no, I didn't forget.
- 8:01Speaker 3: Are your boys up with you?
- 8:02Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 8:02Speaker 3: That four of them?
- 8:03Speaker 1: Yeah, it's okay. It's rare. It's rare that my boys
- 8:06Speaker 1: are really interested in a fight. And when they saw
- 8:09Speaker 1: McGregor was fighting, they're like, we need to watch this.
- 8:12Speaker 1: And as soon as that fight ended, they were like, Dad,
- 8:14Speaker 1: why did we watch this? They were so disappointedly.
- 8:18Speaker 2: Quick, right, we're all We're all of them like quick knockouts.
- 8:21Speaker 1: Uh, Patty was quick.
- 8:22Speaker 2: Yeah, and obviously McGregor ripped his leg.
- 8:24Speaker 1: Off and then McGregor. I I they haven't come out
- 8:27Speaker 1: and said anything yet, but I think McGregor was hurt
- 8:29Speaker 1: before he even walked in that ring.
- 8:30Speaker 2: So I didn't watch it. I've watched one hundred people
- 8:33Speaker 2: talk about it since it happened, and it feels like
- 8:36Speaker 2: the consensus is that he was injured. Maybe he didn't
- 8:39Speaker 2: tear his acl before, but he was injured, maybe sprained it.
- 8:42Speaker 2: There's a video of him going into a doctor's office limping.
- 8:44Speaker 3: Mm hmm.
- 8:44Speaker 1: Oh really yeah, like four days before the fight.
- 8:47Speaker 2: Yeah. There was an issue with him taking a shoe
- 8:49Speaker 2: off at the fight.
- 8:50Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, when you undressed to get your you know,
- 8:53Speaker 1: Vassilin on your face and all that. Like he was
- 8:55Speaker 1: taking his slippers off and like almost fell. That was weird.
- 8:58Speaker 2: So I think consensus is he was probably a little
- 9:02Speaker 2: hurt but wanted his thirty million. I get it. Yeah,
- 9:05Speaker 2: I wanted my thirty million too, and it was just
- 9:07Speaker 2: to get eyeballs there. He did sign a two fight deal.
- 9:10Speaker 2: Does he fight again?
- 9:11Speaker 1: I hope not. I hope not because I mean this
- 9:13Speaker 1: has been his thing now, Like he's not fight ready.
- 9:17Speaker 1: He's not conditioned to fight anymore.
- 9:18Speaker 2: Looked strong though, he looks good, but.
- 9:21Speaker 1: Man, he was in no shape to be in the octagons.
- 9:25Speaker 2: It's also a terrible person.
- 9:26Speaker 1: Yeah. See, I didn't know any of that stuff, Like,
- 9:29Speaker 1: I just know him as a fighter.
- 9:31Speaker 2: Yeah, a terrible person. Uh. Connor McGregor's knee was never
- 9:34Speaker 2: a problem before his fight. According to his longtime head
- 9:36Speaker 2: coach John Kavanaugh, McGregor suffered a brutal loss to Max
- 9:38Speaker 2: Holloway when his right knee appeared to buckle after he
- 9:41Speaker 2: threw a kick in the opening seconds. My question too,
- 9:43Speaker 2: is if your leg is hurt, why do you lead
- 9:44Speaker 2: with using that body part immediately?
- 9:47Speaker 1: Yeah? Yeah, which isn't really his strength to kick, But
- 9:51Speaker 1: he starts the fight with a kick where all the
- 9:53Speaker 1: way it was going to be on that right leg.
- 9:54Speaker 4: Weird.
- 9:56Speaker 3: That is interesting. I don't even think about that.
- 9:58Speaker 2: Meaning I'd want to go in and try the other
- 10:00Speaker 2: things first.
- 10:01Speaker 3: Yeah, flap foot punches, yes, stand put that in the
- 10:04Speaker 3: back or something, But what do I know?
- 10:06Speaker 2: I never UFC fought, but I don't think I if
- 10:08Speaker 2: I'm going in with a busted elbow, and I don't
- 10:10Speaker 2: want anybody to know I'm not doing a flying elbow
- 10:12Speaker 2: to start the match.
- 10:13Speaker 1: Right or did he want to do that just to
- 10:15Speaker 1: and just let's be done with this because it's not
- 10:17Speaker 1: gonna last.
- 10:18Speaker 2: But I think if that's gonna hurt you, I think
- 10:21Speaker 2: you want to try to fight as long as you
- 10:22Speaker 2: can so people don't scream you were hurt, right and
- 10:25Speaker 2: you were just screwing over that UFC and people watching
- 10:28Speaker 2: to get you thirty million.
- 10:29Speaker 1: Max Holloway did say that, you know, when he fell
- 10:32Speaker 1: the first time and he started punching him, he kind
- 10:34Speaker 1: of stopped and was like, well, what do I do?
- 10:36Speaker 1: Like he's obviously hurt, do I keep punching him? But
- 10:38Speaker 1: they weren't stopping the fight, and he said McGregor told
- 10:41Speaker 1: him at that point like, don't stop fighting, like fight fight.
- 10:44Speaker 2: McGregor told him him the middle you can't beat down.
- 10:46Speaker 1: And he said that's why, Okay, that's why I said,
- 10:48Speaker 1: all right, if you want to get your butt kicked,
- 10:50Speaker 1: I'm going for it. Oh So McGregor was just like,
- 10:54Speaker 1: what are you doing? Fight danger? And then Dana White
- 10:58Speaker 1: is saying, you know, like it just looked like an
- 11:00Speaker 1: injury to him, not that he was hurt before. Did
- 11:03Speaker 1: Dana White know beforehand? I don't know, or was it
- 11:07Speaker 1: just the McGregor camp keeping it to themselves.
- 11:10Speaker 2: It's a good question about the Dana White thing, because
- 11:12Speaker 2: he also has something to lose if McGregor doesn't show.
- 11:15Speaker 2: But also they're not doing paper views anymore either, so
- 11:17Speaker 2: it's not based on views. Yeah, the sold they're buying. Yeah,
- 11:21Speaker 2: it's salt. You have a paramount plus subscription. Yeah, how
- 11:25Speaker 2: was the whole fight?
- 11:25Speaker 4: Though?
- 11:26Speaker 1: The whole night was pretty good. There were some really
- 11:29Speaker 1: good fights. And I remember I got on DraftKings and
- 11:31Speaker 1: I was they gave me a They gave it like
- 11:33Speaker 1: an option for like a bonus of quickest knock knockout
- 11:37Speaker 1: and if you picked one of the quickest, not the
- 11:39Speaker 1: quickest knockout, you get a chance at a million dollars
- 11:41Speaker 1: or whatever. And I was like, that's kind of I
- 11:43Speaker 1: thought that was weird because most of the time they
- 11:46Speaker 1: don't offer that because there aren't a lot of knockouts,
- 11:50Speaker 1: maybe like a handful of knockouts for the whole night.
- 11:53Speaker 1: Turns out they had an idea that there're gonna be
- 11:54Speaker 1: a lot of knockouts because there were a lot of knockouts.
- 11:57Speaker 1: So the fights were really really good. The Battie Patty
- 11:59Speaker 1: the was a great fight.
- 12:01Speaker 2: Do you want to hear the Connor McGregor stuff.
- 12:03Speaker 1: Yeah, oh oh oh what he like private life stuff?
- 12:06Speaker 2: Yeah. Several separate incidents. Number one a civil sexual case
- 12:12Speaker 2: in Ireland, a woman named Nikita handiku's McGregor of raping
- 12:14Speaker 2: and assaulting her in a Dublin hotel in twenty eighteen,
- 12:17Speaker 2: and a civil trial. A jury found the McGregor was
- 12:20Speaker 2: liable for assaulting her and awarded her damages. McGregor denied
- 12:23Speaker 2: the allegations and appeal, but the civil judgment was ultimately upheld.
- 12:26Speaker 2: A Miami sexual assault lawsuit, a woman alleged mcgregors actually
- 12:29Speaker 2: assaulted her in a bathroom during the twenty twenty three
- 12:31Speaker 2: NBA Finals in Miami. Place investigator, but did not file
- 12:34Speaker 2: criminal charges. A civil lawsuit is still ongoing. McGregor has
- 12:37Speaker 2: denied the allegations. In twenty eighteen, he attacked the bus.
- 12:41Speaker 2: Remember the attacked the bus. That's crazy, I thought it
- 12:43Speaker 2: was fake. I thought's fake. Yeah, I thought it was
- 12:45Speaker 2: like a show because it was so out of control,
- 12:47Speaker 2: so unhinged. In twenty nineteen, he punched a man in
- 12:50Speaker 2: a Doublin pub after the man it was an old guy, yeah,
- 12:54Speaker 2: after the guy declined to shot a whiskey. The incident
- 12:56Speaker 2: was caught on video. McGregor pleaded guilty to assault. Goes
- 13:00Speaker 2: on and on.
- 13:02Speaker 1: Yeah, kind of crazy, dude.
- 13:03Speaker 3: He looked different mohawks, the mohawk bade.
- 13:07Speaker 2: I don't think I accept crazy, I accept.
- 13:09Speaker 1: Bad bad, but I mean he is crazy, both.
- 13:13Speaker 2: Both bad and crazy, but not just crazy and not bad.
- 13:18Speaker 2: I feel like he's a bad guy.
- 13:20Speaker 3: Yeah, majority bad.
- 13:22Speaker 1: But you're right, dude. He did look ripped.
- 13:24Speaker 2: Yeah, he looked like musket like, way thicker than Yeah,
- 13:28Speaker 2: I'm used to him looking. And he had a mohawk
- 13:30Speaker 2: shaved the mohawk that was new. I saw Wemby sign
- 13:35Speaker 2: five years baby, like a longer deal with spurs. Then
- 13:38Speaker 2: took a little less money.
- 13:39Speaker 1: Yeah, like fifty million, left fifty million on the table
- 13:42Speaker 1: for I guess some other help.
- 13:44Speaker 2: Do we call that the Jalen Brunson effect. Do we
- 13:47Speaker 2: call that the Tom Brady effect? I mean Brady did
- 13:49Speaker 2: it first way back in the day, but Brunson just
- 13:51Speaker 2: didn't and won a title doing it, I know.
- 13:53Speaker 3: Yeah, and here was like one hundred million.
- 13:55Speaker 1: So who he's like.
- 13:59Speaker 2: The Spurs Wemby for five years two fifty two left
- 14:02Speaker 2: some money on the table. So love it.
- 14:06Speaker 1: I love it. I mean I didn't. I didn't worry
- 14:07Speaker 1: that we're gonna lose Wimby or anything like that. But
- 14:10Speaker 1: just to know that the next five years is well's.
- 14:12Speaker 3: Yeah, see other players too, because the Celtics are prime example,
- 14:15Speaker 3: the signed Jylen Brown to that extension a couple of
- 14:18Speaker 3: years later.
- 14:18Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 14:18Speaker 3: To trade them, yeah, had to cost a lot of money.
- 14:21Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 14:21Speaker 3: So when you want to do like Castle or whoever
- 14:24Speaker 3: else you want to keep, Dylan Harper gotta take less.
- 14:27Speaker 2: Dylan Harper is awesome. Yeah, so good like he he's
- 14:32Speaker 2: for sure he has to start next year. Yeah, what
- 14:35Speaker 2: do I know? But Dylan Harper is awesome. Okay, so
- 14:40Speaker 2: that's good for you. Let's see anything happen in my
- 14:43Speaker 2: sports world. Arkansas still sucks every time they put out
- 14:45Speaker 2: a list of best quarterbacks in the SEC bottom.
- 14:49Speaker 3: Or your quarterback coming you guys, Yeah, who is that?
- 14:51Speaker 2: Yeah, kJ Jackson. He played last year a bit. He's
- 14:54Speaker 2: at left handed quarterback. He was a freshman last year.
- 14:57Speaker 2: If you find we're just not gonna be very good.
- 14:59Speaker 2: But so that's and then the Cubs are finally playing better,
- 15:03Speaker 2: which is nice. But like for me, have the Celtics
- 15:06Speaker 2: doing over there, you get still depressed or what?
- 15:08Speaker 3: Yeah, still not fully over it. I want to see
- 15:10Speaker 3: if Brad Stevens will take the two first round picks
- 15:12Speaker 3: that he got for Jaylen Brown along with Paul George
- 15:15Speaker 3: and turn that into something. If you can do that
- 15:16Speaker 3: people are saying that is a possibility, and do something
- 15:19Speaker 3: positive with that, I'll be happy because I do not
- 15:22Speaker 3: trust draft picks, especially in the.
- 15:24Speaker 2: NBA, especially if the other team is halfway decent, because
- 15:26Speaker 2: after about pick six usually you don't get abody good exactly.
- 15:30Speaker 2: So you know they have the picks from the seventy
- 15:33Speaker 2: six ers, Yeah, they're gonna be good. Right, you're gonna
- 15:36Speaker 2: get pick nineteen twenty twenty all the way to the thirties. Yeah,
- 15:40Speaker 2: to toss up at that point. Yeah, okay, and what's
- 15:43Speaker 2: up a year? Yeah, Wimby, I got spurs.
- 15:46Speaker 1: I mean, I don't see anything on the Cowboys. How
- 15:48Speaker 1: much going on over there right now?
- 15:50Speaker 3: See Dak?
- 15:51Speaker 1: Yeah he was at the fight.
- 15:52Speaker 3: Yay steroids because he looks jacked massive.
- 15:56Speaker 1: Yeah. Did you guys notice that.
- 15:58Speaker 2: I don't watch the fight?
- 15:59Speaker 3: Yeah, but I wouldn't be the up. Are you like
- 16:00Speaker 3: happy about it? Why do you want your quarterback looking
- 16:03Speaker 3: like a linebacker?
- 16:03Speaker 1: Let me ask you some does a does a Jalen
- 16:08Speaker 1: Hurts look thin to you?
- 16:10Speaker 4: No?
- 16:10Speaker 3: But he's away with Okay, he's thicker.
- 16:13Speaker 2: Yeah, and he also plays a different kind of well, yeah,
- 16:15Speaker 2: he runs a lot.
- 16:16Speaker 1: Maybe Dak's trying to run now.
- 16:18Speaker 2: He wants more touch push in his life.
- 16:21Speaker 1: I mean he didn't look fat, dude.
- 16:23Speaker 3: Oh no, not fat at all. But I'm saying like
- 16:25Speaker 3: Tom Brady made a career out of pliability right different
- 16:29Speaker 3: coming out and like Patrick Mahomes kind of taking that on.
- 16:32Speaker 3: All these quarterbacks are trying to take it on the
- 16:34Speaker 3: last longer and Dak says, screw that, I'm just gonna
- 16:37Speaker 3: do a bunch of curls. Yeah.
- 16:39Speaker 2: I think Jack's more of a Tom Brady type quarterback
- 16:41Speaker 2: than he has a Jalen Hurts type quarterback.
- 16:43Speaker 1: Well maybe before the broken leg. I think he needs
- 16:46Speaker 1: to be I don't know. I mean, I feel like
- 16:48Speaker 1: the game needs a little bit of Josh Allen, you know,
- 16:51Speaker 1: like you want to open that up. I don't know
- 16:53Speaker 1: if he's gonna be that quarterback because after he broke
- 16:56Speaker 1: his leg. Yeah, it's I mean, his legs aren't what
- 16:58Speaker 1: they used to be, but maybe he's trying to get
- 17:01Speaker 1: back there.
- 17:01Speaker 2: Would you be mad if you're a Buffalo Bills fan
- 17:03Speaker 2: and Josh Allen when I'm played with the Olympic flag
- 17:07Speaker 2: football team, I'd say, yeah, yeah, Or would you only
- 17:14Speaker 2: be mad if he got hurt and then you go.
- 17:16Speaker 3: Come on man, Yeah, of course I'd be mad then,
- 17:19Speaker 3: but you can't do that afterwards. Yeah, I'd probably be upset.
- 17:23Speaker 2: If you're a quarterback. Drake may Go said I'm gonna
- 17:27Speaker 2: go play in the Olympic team. Would you like it?
- 17:31Speaker 3: Deep down? I would like it, But if I had
- 17:33Speaker 3: a choice, I would say, please don't because as an
- 17:35Speaker 3: American I want to root for him in my country.
- 17:38Speaker 2: Because we're probably gonna win it all anyway, right.
- 17:40Speaker 3: Drake may Right, I would guess we don't need Drake
- 17:44Speaker 3: may So it's like, hey, send this one out.
- 17:45Speaker 2: Josh Allen said he'd love to play for the US
- 17:47Speaker 2: Flag Football twenty twenty eight. So wow, it's just Buffalo's
- 17:52Speaker 2: luck though that he gets hurt doing that hurt. Yeah,
- 17:56Speaker 2: and then it's something soft tissue and stupid low the
- 18:00Speaker 2: knee flag football.
- 18:01Speaker 1: Yeah yeah.
- 18:04Speaker 3: Joe Burrow definitely do not go.
- 18:06Speaker 2: Don't even know about it, Joe, don't even watch.
- 18:08Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 18:09Speaker 3: Stay.
- 18:10Speaker 2: There's an Argentinian law that prevents parents from naming their
- 18:13Speaker 2: kids after Messi.
- 18:14Speaker 1: Oh wow, really that's crazy, because I mean, yeah, who
- 18:18Speaker 1: wouldn't want to name their kids after Messi if you're
- 18:20Speaker 1: from Argentina.
- 18:21Speaker 2: Argentina adores Lionel Messi, but the country will not let
- 18:23Speaker 2: parents turn his famous surname into a first name. Law
- 18:27Speaker 2: bands using last names as first names just in general.
- 18:31Speaker 2: So this couple who loved soccer wanted to name their
- 18:33Speaker 2: kid Messi back in twenty fourteen. They had to petition
- 18:35Speaker 2: the Civil Registry for a special exemption, and they don't
- 18:40Speaker 2: allow it because they think that there would be ten
- 18:42Speaker 2: million Messi kids running around. But so these parents did
- 18:45Speaker 2: get it, they had to petition the Civil Registry when
- 18:48Speaker 2: they got in the province. Their son, who did get it,
- 18:52Speaker 2: got to keep the name, but he remains a rarity.
- 18:54Speaker 2: Only eleven people have been allowed to name Messi as
- 18:58Speaker 2: a first name.
- 19:00Speaker 1: That's crazy that it's even just a rule to begin with.
- 19:03Speaker 2: Well, so it's not a rule because of Messy.
- 19:07Speaker 1: Right, right, right, that's what I mean. That's a law, yes,
- 19:10Speaker 1: to keep certain last name. Is that surname and last name?
- 19:15Speaker 2: Well, our parents turned their famous surname, yes, yeah, into
- 19:18Speaker 2: a first name.
- 19:19Speaker 4: Yes.
- 19:19Speaker 1: You imagine if we couldn't be Brady's or Jordan's. It's
- 19:24Speaker 1: like that.
- 19:25Speaker 2: Yeah, but we're not so in love with one sport.
- 19:28Speaker 2: If our entire country just freaking loved basketball and it
- 19:33Speaker 2: was only basketball, you probably have a lot of Jordan's
- 19:37Speaker 2: because there are starting to be a lot of Kobe's
- 19:39Speaker 2: or if you see see him popping around.
- 19:40Speaker 1: Yeah, I haven't met a Kobe yet.
- 19:43Speaker 2: Now, just other basketball players that pop up at the
- 19:45Speaker 2: football college and football yeah yeah, yeah, yeah yeah. So
- 19:49Speaker 2: but we don't have we have like eleven things we like.
- 19:52Speaker 1: So so what would be something like we would like
- 19:54Speaker 1: George Washington?
- 19:55Speaker 2: We don't. We don't care enough in this country about
- 19:57Speaker 2: one thing.
- 19:58Speaker 1: Like what's one name Brooks.
- 20:02Speaker 2: Twilight the movie or Harry Potter or something like that.
- 20:06Speaker 2: Interest because that's always what leads the baby name registrate.
- 20:12Speaker 2: It thinks from pop culture things more than sports, mostly
- 20:15Speaker 2: because moms are probably picking names more than dads.
- 20:17Speaker 3: Yeah for sure.
- 20:18Speaker 1: What about like Swift not a real name, I know,
- 20:22Speaker 1: but like that would be a good example, like people
- 20:25Speaker 1: naming their kids Swift after Taylor Swift illegal, that's not
- 20:28Speaker 1: a real name.
- 20:29Speaker 2: Yeah, not that MESSI is either. But I don't know
- 20:31Speaker 2: what Spanish or real names or what are like. I don't.
- 20:33Speaker 2: I don't, Yeah, I don't. I don't know enough there Biber.
- 20:37Speaker 1: Again, that's a pretty solid name, Bieber.
- 20:39Speaker 2: But his name him Justin or Taylor the last name
- 20:42Speaker 2: because the law is the last name. No, we don't
- 20:44Speaker 2: have the law. You were just saying, like, what would
- 20:46Speaker 2: you name him? Right? I'm surprised people name him Lionel
- 20:49Speaker 2: or whatever.
- 20:50Speaker 1: Huh, because that's that's probably really common.
- 20:52Speaker 2: Yeah, but if you want to name after MESSI name
- 20:54Speaker 2: him after his first name.
- 20:56Speaker 1: It's not the same though, you guys. Bourbon heck no,
- 21:01Speaker 1: no to love it. You happen to brand.
- 21:04Speaker 3: One bad night?
- 21:06Speaker 4: What's it?
- 21:07Speaker 2: Su? Bourbon is whiskey, but not all whiskey's bourbon?
- 21:10Speaker 4: Correct?
- 21:10Speaker 2: What's good about bourbon?
- 21:12Speaker 3: Man, I don't know, just the uh. If you find
- 21:14Speaker 3: the right bourbon, the smoothness of it tastes like like
- 21:18Speaker 3: a syrupy good just a smooth little burn going down
- 21:22Speaker 3: your throat. It just tastes really good.
- 21:24Speaker 2: Is there are there some alcohols that make you drunker faster? Oh? Yeah, faster?
- 21:28Speaker 2: Not because that because that's a metabolism.
- 21:31Speaker 1: I think, well that it would be. It would be
- 21:33Speaker 1: the strength of the alcohol, Like but is that more
- 21:36Speaker 1: or is that faster?
- 21:38Speaker 3: Both because the proof, Like if you're drinking one hundred
- 21:42Speaker 3: and twenty proof compared to an eighty proof, you're gonna
- 21:44Speaker 3: get faster on one hundred and twenty Yeah drunk?
- 21:48Speaker 2: Yeah right yeah right uh. Buffalo Trace bourbon the best,
- 21:53Speaker 2: not the best, sorry, but very good. Rated number one.
- 21:56Speaker 2: Now this is value. Just to find most of it,
- 22:01Speaker 2: Like all those things put in number one's Buffalo Trip,
- 22:03Speaker 2: I've never even did. I'm talking about soccer basically right now.
- 22:06Speaker 2: But I saw the list and just wondered about bourbon.
- 22:07Speaker 2: I don't know anything about it. Buffalo Trace is basically
- 22:09Speaker 2: number one on the top ten. Makes sense, one of
- 22:12Speaker 2: the best bourbon values thirty to forty dollars yep.
- 22:15Speaker 3: That's why.
- 22:15Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 22:15Speaker 3: The price point on that Woodford is another one. The
- 22:18Speaker 3: price point is really good for how.
- 22:19Speaker 2: Good Woodford at number seven? Dang, you're you're like a guy.
- 22:22Speaker 3: Huh. I'm a casual a little more than a soccer casual.
- 22:27Speaker 3: But yeah, I'm a casual.
- 22:27Speaker 2: I mean you're like me at UFC.
- 22:29Speaker 3: Then yeah, I mean I drink it pretty often.
- 22:32Speaker 1: That like if you go to a bar, that's your drinker.
- 22:33Speaker 2: Oh yeah, okay, then that's more okay then yeah, and.
- 22:36Speaker 3: At home, I'll have a glass. Look at that here
- 22:38Speaker 3: and there. I drink wood for Blantants is like my
- 22:42Speaker 3: treat myself.
- 22:44Speaker 2: Blant's hold on Yeah, six seventy to ninety dollars.
- 22:47Speaker 3: Wow, yeah, because its a little more expense.
- 22:49Speaker 2: Wait wait wait, I want to get it for seventy bucks?
- 22:51Speaker 3: Where is that?
- 22:51Speaker 1: Where's my pappy at? So?
- 22:53Speaker 2: But that's really expensive. So number one's Buffalo trace Number
- 22:55Speaker 2: two is wild Turkey one on one cheaper Maker's Market,
- 23:00Speaker 2: No knob Creek nine year solid Eagle rare tenuere.
- 23:08Speaker 3: Yeah, that's good.
- 23:09Speaker 1: That means it's in a barrel tip for ten year years.
- 23:11Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 23:12Speaker 2: Blanton's original single barrel the best Woodford reserve yes, Elijah
- 23:17Speaker 2: Craig small batch.
- 23:19Speaker 3: Yepang, these are good.
- 23:21Speaker 1: Your mouths of water.
- 23:22Speaker 2: In Pappy van Winkle fifteen years.
- 23:25Speaker 1: Now, we're talking expensive?
- 23:26Speaker 3: What is happen on there?
- 23:27Speaker 2: So here's the deal. The problem with that is you
- 23:29Speaker 2: really can't get it MSRP because if you were just
- 23:32Speaker 2: gonna buy it, it'd be one hundred and seventy dollars.
- 23:35Speaker 2: You can't find it to buy, so you have to
- 23:36Speaker 2: buy it off the secondary market. So it's like thousand
- 23:39Speaker 2: bucks fifteen hundred bucks yep.
- 23:40Speaker 1: Oh wow, So where do they buy the cheap one
- 23:43Speaker 1: or the seven hundred one? Like, how who gets to
- 23:47Speaker 1: buy that one?
- 23:48Speaker 2: I don't know it could. I don't know. Four roses
- 23:51Speaker 2: single barrel.
- 23:52Speaker 3: Oh, I used to be my favorite. Four roses.
- 23:56Speaker 1: You guys broke it.
- 23:56Speaker 3: I don't know. You just kind of go through your phases,
- 23:57Speaker 3: you know, with alcohol. Like Brandon said, he used to
- 23:59Speaker 3: really like it. But like I rotate from Woodford to Buffalo.
- 24:03Speaker 3: It used to be four roses every now and then
- 24:06Speaker 3: I'll sprinkle in something different just to try it. But yeah,
- 24:08Speaker 3: Woodford and Buffalo are probably the best go to for
- 24:11Speaker 3: the price point.
- 24:11Speaker 2: That's your favorite alcohol? Bourbon?
- 24:13Speaker 4: Oh?
- 24:13Speaker 2: Yeah, what is yours?
- 24:16Speaker 1: Probably just beer? I like beer. Like, here's the thing
- 24:23Speaker 1: about bourbon. It's like it didn't taste It's like a
- 24:26Speaker 1: man's drink, Like you drink it like you don't put
- 24:29Speaker 1: coca in yours, right, It's just like straight Yeah, and
- 24:31Speaker 1: they call it on the rocks where it's just ice
- 24:34Speaker 1: in a glass with bourbon and you just sip on it, dude,
- 24:37Speaker 1: And every single time you taste it like it gags.
- 24:40Speaker 1: It makes you gag because it's so strong. So it's
- 24:43Speaker 1: not my.
- 24:43Speaker 2: Style, But could you acquire a style?
- 24:46Speaker 1: I've tried. I've tried. I've had people because I have
- 24:48Speaker 1: a couple of bottles in my house that I've had
- 24:50Speaker 1: people have given me in the past. And then people
- 24:52Speaker 1: come over like do you have bourbon? Like yeah, here,
- 24:54Speaker 1: take that and like oh yes, and they stop pouring
- 24:56Speaker 1: it and they pour me a glass and I'm like
- 24:58Speaker 1: and I just haven't. I hold it the whole time.
- 25:00Speaker 1: I won't drink it's so gross.
- 25:01Speaker 2: What about tequila.
- 25:03Speaker 1: Mixed with the margarita mix? I can't even do shots
- 25:06Speaker 1: really because even that'll make me gag.
- 25:08Speaker 2: So you like beer, Yeah, if you get one beer,
- 25:11Speaker 2: any beer, what do you get Oh, like, what's the
- 25:13Speaker 2: best any beer?
- 25:15Speaker 1: Any beer?
- 25:16Speaker 2: Any It doesn't matter.
- 25:17Speaker 1: I think my go to now is do Seqi's with lime,
- 25:21Speaker 1: But I got to have a line with it.
- 25:22Speaker 2: But if there's some sort of really crazy, cool expensive beer,
- 25:25Speaker 2: you can put that on the list.
- 25:27Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't care about I don't care nothing.
- 25:29Speaker 3: Do Seki's logger the green one?
- 25:31Speaker 1: Yeah, the lagger? Yeah, that's kind of Mike. And then
- 25:34Speaker 1: I like a little red wine too.
- 25:36Speaker 2: Do you have beer at home?
- 25:37Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 25:37Speaker 2: Always go Seki's Green.
- 25:38Speaker 1: Do Seki's Green in my fridge?
- 25:40Speaker 2: Do you have red wine at home? Yeah? Do you
- 25:42Speaker 2: buy expensive red wine ten dollars at Kroger?
- 25:46Speaker 3: Dude, there's one at all. It's eight bucks called Outlander
- 25:50Speaker 3: so good. Not a commercial.
- 25:52Speaker 2: It's good.
- 25:53Speaker 3: No, seriously, it's really good. My wife and I get
- 25:56Speaker 3: it every time we go to Outlander.
- 25:57Speaker 2: We've had one hundred of this type of talk. But
- 25:59Speaker 2: if I were to buy you a five hundred dollars
- 26:01Speaker 2: bottle of wine, do you have the palette to even differentiate?
- 26:04Speaker 1: Nah? Okay, but I'd enjoy it. I'd be like, guys,
- 26:07Speaker 1: drink up. This is from Bobby. Five hundred dollars bottle
- 26:10Speaker 1: of wine. And I think that if you drink a
- 26:12Speaker 1: five hundred dollars bottle of wine, you automatically think it
- 26:15Speaker 1: tastes better. I think just because it's so expensive.
- 26:17Speaker 2: So then what if I just tell you it's five
- 26:19Speaker 2: hundred dollars and.
- 26:21Speaker 1: It's really not, Yeah, I'd probably be like, ah, this
- 26:23Speaker 1: is so good.
- 26:24Speaker 3: I feel like anything like over fifty dollars is kind
- 26:28Speaker 3: of like, Okay, they're all good, but I mean they're
- 26:31Speaker 3: cheaper ones, but I mean I feel like you would
- 26:33Speaker 3: for sure taste a five hundred dollars difference.
- 26:35Speaker 1: It's just weird because the one that I like, it's
- 26:37Speaker 1: like ten ninety nine at the grocery store and it's
- 26:40Speaker 1: been like that price for about five years, and I
- 26:42Speaker 1: just keep waiting, like, how does this price not go up?
- 26:45Speaker 2: How does it not go on?
- 26:46Speaker 3: I don't know. That's a great question. That the same
- 26:48Speaker 3: thing I have my like three or four go to
- 26:50Speaker 3: Red Blends that I.
- 26:51Speaker 2: Get Red Blend. This guy, I love this alcohol.
- 26:55Speaker 1: Do you smoke cigars? To Kevin? I feel like this
- 26:57Speaker 1: is your no.
- 26:58Speaker 3: Only like certain occasions like a party or a wedding
- 27:01Speaker 3: something like that. Yeah, but like just at home, heck, no,
- 27:04Speaker 3: dude now, but yeah, alcohol, I love alcohol.
- 27:07Speaker 2: Did you get scamm from an Instagram ad?
- 27:09Speaker 3: I don't know yet for sure, but I don't know.
- 27:13Speaker 3: I'm kind of getting a feeling that has something new
- 27:15Speaker 3: with alcohol. I ordered shoes, okay, So I got hit
- 27:18Speaker 3: with an Instagram ad that was like, get these air
- 27:22Speaker 3: Jordan ones or something like that that are only seventy
- 27:26Speaker 3: five bucks and they.
- 27:26Speaker 1: Were cool not to steal.
- 27:28Speaker 3: Yeah, exactly. So I was like, no way, you know,
- 27:30Speaker 3: ads come up into no way, no way, and just
- 27:32Speaker 3: kept popping for like a week or two.
- 27:34Speaker 1: All right.
- 27:34Speaker 3: I finally gave in boom, clicked it, ordered it like
- 27:38Speaker 3: I think it was Father's Day weekend, I want to say.
- 27:41Speaker 3: And here we are almost a month later, and I
- 27:45Speaker 3: don't I don't know where it is. Yeah, I checked,
- 27:49Speaker 3: I kept checking, and it was coming from China. It's
- 27:52Speaker 3: always coming from China.
- 27:53Speaker 2: Oh yeah, okay, so they're gonna come, but they're not
- 27:55Speaker 2: gonna be real.
- 27:55Speaker 4: But right, oh.
- 27:57Speaker 3: Okay, here, So I pulled it up. Let's see, I
- 28:00Speaker 3: haven't looked in like a while, three or four days,
- 28:03Speaker 3: and it says it was delivered to my mailbox. Actually,
- 28:06Speaker 3: I just have to tech never mind okay, never mind.
- 28:08Speaker 2: So they're gonna come, they're just they they will be fake, okay,
- 28:12Speaker 2: but they look look the same.
- 28:14Speaker 3: Yeah, okay, cool, they'll smell funny at first.
- 28:17Speaker 2: It'll be they'll be packaged really tight and they'll have
- 28:21Speaker 2: a lot of Chinese on the pack where but they'll
- 28:24Speaker 2: be fine.
- 28:25Speaker 4: They'll come loose in a box.
- 28:26Speaker 3: Yeah, Hong Zoo is where it's coming from.
- 28:28Speaker 1: Oh cool, I love that place.
- 28:29Speaker 3: It's the best. I used to summer in Hons.
- 28:32Speaker 1: So this has happened to you before you get it
- 28:35Speaker 1: from China.
- 28:36Speaker 2: I bought a fake watch because I wanted to buy
- 28:40Speaker 2: the real watch and I wanted to see what it
- 28:42Speaker 2: looked like. And then it was. It was garbage, but
- 28:45Speaker 2: it came. But that was how it.
- 28:46Speaker 3: Came, was I mean, yeah, it'll work all right, I mean,
- 28:49Speaker 3: oh the watch didn't work. Well, not the watch, the shoes.
- 28:52Speaker 3: I'm saying, Yeah, the watch I tossed is your shoe, guy?
- 28:54Speaker 3: So like, if I walk in here with those, will
- 28:56Speaker 3: you be like, okay those are from.
- 28:57Speaker 2: No, I'd never be able to don't. Well that's cool, yes,
- 29:00Speaker 2: absolutely China way Yeah, huh, yeah, I'm not a snob
- 29:03Speaker 2: like that. China. Oh way, I'm surprised you got it
- 29:06Speaker 2: on Instagram, though not TikTok, because TikTok really has the
- 29:10Speaker 2: Chinese TikTok in like six months at all. No, why
- 29:13Speaker 2: what took you off?
- 29:14Speaker 3: I just don't I don't know. I never got into it,
- 29:16Speaker 3: and I just like kind of forgot about it.
- 29:18Speaker 1: And that's weird.
- 29:19Speaker 3: Still forgot about it.
- 29:22Speaker 2: I keep all these notes on my phone. Okay, let's
- 29:24Speaker 2: go to twenty five whistles. Let me some my notes
- 29:26Speaker 2: are here. No, just sucker, never mind. The other thing
- 29:30Speaker 2: was about editing. I did a bobbycast and they were
- 29:32Speaker 2: and he was like, shut up about cities. Do more mysteries?
- 29:36Speaker 1: Who said that?
- 29:36Speaker 2: Somebody that somebody the comments on the Instagram.
- 29:39Speaker 1: We did do some mysteries. Man, that was so so
- 29:41Speaker 1: much fun.
- 29:41Speaker 2: Well that's what he wanted. I get all the shows
- 29:44Speaker 2: mixed up, and so I saved the screenshot of that
- 29:46Speaker 2: to bring it up, and he goes, Hey, who cares
- 29:48Speaker 2: about the greatest cities mysteries?
- 29:51Speaker 1: Mysteries?
- 29:52Speaker 2: We did a whole Bobby cast on the Malaysia flight
- 29:58Speaker 2: that disappeared on and Alcatraz on John bin A Ramsey, Okay,
- 30:06Speaker 2: Jack the Ripper Jack The Ripper.
- 30:08Speaker 1: I thought about that one all weekend, so we.
- 30:09Speaker 2: Just went through it and then we had to pick
- 30:12Speaker 2: what happened with limited knowledge.
- 30:14Speaker 4: Oh.
- 30:15Speaker 2: It was kind of our like a stupid soccer bit
- 30:18Speaker 2: where we're going, all right, we know like eight percent
- 30:20Speaker 2: of what happened, but if we had to pick, this
- 30:22Speaker 2: is what we do.
- 30:23Speaker 3: Does you guys do the what's his name? The mob
- 30:26Speaker 3: guy that disapared?
- 30:27Speaker 1: No?
- 30:28Speaker 2: No, no, no, no, Jimmy Offa.
- 30:32Speaker 1: I don't really, I don't know that story.
- 30:34Speaker 2: Do you ever watch the movie though? Netflix? It's good
- 30:37Speaker 2: Mike what they call the Irishman?
- 30:39Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 30:39Speaker 1: Really, Oh that's the one with Joe Pesci and uh,
- 30:43Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 30:44Speaker 2: All those guys are the same to me.
- 30:45Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 30:47Speaker 3: Yeah, three and a half hours long.
- 30:49Speaker 1: Is it that long?
- 30:49Speaker 4: Yeah, it's so long.
- 30:51Speaker 2: Oh wow, we'll do it on Tuesday or Tuesday tomorrow.
- 30:53Speaker 2: But I watched three movies over the weekend. Over the weekend,
- 30:58Speaker 2: I didn't do anything, so I should have watch soccer.
- 31:00Speaker 2: I'm just not that's okay, Yeah, I just no interest.
- 31:02Speaker 1: US is out.
- 31:03Speaker 2: But I watched three different movies, and Eddie watched. I
- 31:06Speaker 2: didn't watch Obsession, No Companion. Oh yeah, I watched It's one.
- 31:10Speaker 1: Word yeah, and it's almost kind of sounds like it
- 31:14Speaker 1: could be the same movie.
- 31:15Speaker 2: So you'll probably hear us talking about this tomorrow. But
- 31:17Speaker 2: spoiler on that. So I watched Obsession and that comes
- 31:20Speaker 2: off peacock Mike, you see that. Yeah, on Friday, I
- 31:23Speaker 2: paid money for it.
- 31:24Speaker 1: You could have waited a week. It gould be free.
- 31:26Speaker 1: That's the worst, dude, Dude, don't know how much you spend.
- 31:30Speaker 2: I don't remember. Don't watch. Do you like horror movies?
- 31:33Speaker 1: Not really, but sometimes I like them just to kind
- 31:35Speaker 1: of mix things up. Why this is really bad.
- 31:39Speaker 2: It's a real life horror movie and it's so disturbing.
- 31:41Speaker 2: I stay away from horror movies. Yeah, and horror movies
- 31:45Speaker 2: both so close? You know?
- 31:50Speaker 3: Was this a low budget one that I was talking about?
- 31:52Speaker 2: Okay, if you like horror movies, I think you will
- 31:57Speaker 2: freaking love it. It is wonderfully written, it's so cool.
- 32:02Speaker 2: It just isn't for me. But I can see where
- 32:06Speaker 2: Mike loved it, and I get it. I watched the
- 32:08Speaker 2: whole thing. I wanted to get away from it. It
- 32:10Speaker 2: made me uncomfortable.
- 32:11Speaker 1: Were you scared it all or just uncomfortable?
- 32:14Speaker 2: No? Because I'm an adult.
- 32:16Speaker 1: No, I know, but man, some horror horror adult man.
- 32:19Speaker 2: So I think it's more of the violence.
- 32:21Speaker 1: It's very intense, very brutal, gruesome. Oh, I don't want
- 32:24Speaker 1: to see that.
- 32:26Speaker 3: I don't mind those ones. Just the jumpy ones for me.
- 32:28Speaker 1: Well, I like to jump.
- 32:28Speaker 2: There's no, there's jumpy. There was a little bit jumping
- 32:31Speaker 2: in it too.
- 32:31Speaker 1: That's the best one. You're watching a movie in the dark.
- 32:33Speaker 2: No, that's it. I didn't like that, like that, like
- 32:37Speaker 2: that part of it.
- 32:38Speaker 1: Yeah, but guys, we're hey, we're grown men. We know
- 32:43Speaker 1: when that part's come in. The music usually goes.
- 32:45Speaker 2: If you watch you session, you don't know when that
- 32:47Speaker 2: craft's coming.
- 32:47Speaker 3: Really no music.
- 32:49Speaker 2: There are a couple of parts in that movie that
- 32:51Speaker 2: it's just like, I don't want to watch this anymore
- 32:53Speaker 2: because it made me jump. Who's seen it?
- 32:57Speaker 3: I haven't seen just Mike.
- 32:58Speaker 2: Yeah, you guys should watch it.
- 32:59Speaker 3: I will not watch something.
- 33:00Speaker 2: Okay if you're like weight though, if you're like me,
- 33:03Speaker 2: you have Peacock.
- 33:04Speaker 1: No, but I can get the seven day free trial.
- 33:06Speaker 2: You may also can watch with commercials.
- 33:08Speaker 3: Okay, which would probably be good a little break.
- 33:13Speaker 2: It's really good. Just it ain't for me.
- 33:16Speaker 3: I'm sure it is, but yeah, I like to sleep
- 33:17Speaker 3: at night.
- 33:18Speaker 2: And it ain't for me. So the other movie, though,
- 33:21Speaker 2: is Companion a single word? You watch that, I'll watch
- 33:24Speaker 2: that one.
- 33:25Speaker 1: That was a different movie. It's a different kind of movie.
- 33:30Speaker 2: And I could that be considered a horror?
- 33:31Speaker 1: Mike, Yeah, it's sci fi horror.
- 33:34Speaker 4: I would put that on a thriller, like a psychological thriller.
- 33:37Speaker 1: I didn't say that. I said thriller.
- 33:39Speaker 2: Okay, it rested those kind of a horror movie right
- 33:43Speaker 2: list of his horror, it's probably more thriller fi because
- 33:46Speaker 2: I was.
- 33:46Speaker 1: Never scared, dude, that movie. I was entertained.
- 33:50Speaker 2: I loved it. It's got a few elements of things
- 33:53Speaker 2: that I like in movies, probably a little more than
- 33:55Speaker 2: things you like in movies.
- 33:56Speaker 1: Huh.
- 33:56Speaker 2: But that and then the menu, Oh yeah.
- 34:00Speaker 1: You keep talking about that one.
- 34:01Speaker 2: The Island and that one. There's no sci fi.
- 34:05Speaker 3: No, it's probably straight thriller.
- 34:08Speaker 1: Is that one out?
- 34:08Speaker 2: But that is horror?
- 34:10Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 34:12Speaker 2: I don't feel with the menu, and Companion did not
- 34:15Speaker 2: feel like I felt like watching Obsession. The menu is
- 34:19Speaker 2: really cool.
- 34:20Speaker 1: So is the menu available to stream now or to wait?
- 34:23Speaker 2: I don't remember it because I just recklessly hit I'll
- 34:26Speaker 2: buy all I never rent. I buye bye bye bye bye.
- 34:28Speaker 2: I probably got a freaking library like the one hundred
- 34:32Speaker 2: movies Deep.
- 34:33Speaker 1: You're like my eighteen year old son. He just clicks clicks.
- 34:35Speaker 2: Well, it's just that if I rent it and then
- 34:37Speaker 2: I don't get it watched in two days, I'm pissed
- 34:39Speaker 2: because I just wasted three ninety nine. Yeah, so i'd
- 34:41Speaker 2: other spend twenty bucks instead of being because that could
- 34:44Speaker 2: be pissed three six, nine, twelve. I could do it
- 34:47Speaker 2: six times. It doesn't make sense. There's no logic to it.
- 34:50Speaker 3: But it's on Max, Hulu and Disney.
- 34:52Speaker 2: Plus by the way, but for free.
- 34:54Speaker 3: But for free currently streaming is what it says.
- 34:57Speaker 1: I'll look into it the menu.
- 34:58Speaker 2: Yeah, oh dude, it's awesome.
- 35:00Speaker 1: That that one does. Sound good.
- 35:02Speaker 2: They go to a restaurant on an island, and that's awesome.
- 35:07Speaker 1: That's all you can say.
- 35:08Speaker 2: It's like a really hard to get in restaurant, and
- 35:11Speaker 2: so you have to be like specially invited. They only
- 35:13Speaker 2: take like twelve people twelve tables, and then once they
- 35:16Speaker 2: get there, it's kind of weird, but it's not horror.
- 35:18Speaker 2: I wouldn't say it's horror.
- 35:20Speaker 3: Yeah, probably more on the modern horror side.
- 35:23Speaker 1: They've kind of changed what the genre is.
- 35:24Speaker 2: I like modern horse, the horror lash comedy on here.
- 35:28Speaker 1: Oh yeah, is it kind of funny?
- 35:32Speaker 2: Is it funny?
- 35:32Speaker 3: No?
- 35:33Speaker 2: But are there parts that have some levity to it? Sure?
- 35:38Speaker 2: But the Ana Joy Taylor's in it, the Queen's Gambit,
- 35:41Speaker 2: she's cool.
- 35:42Speaker 3: She's really good.
- 35:43Speaker 1: Is she the chess player of the main character?
- 35:44Speaker 2: Yeah, okay, do you know what I'm talking about.
- 35:46Speaker 1: Yeah, it's a great movie.
- 35:47Speaker 3: You would know the guy too on a.
- 35:48Speaker 1: TV show Queen's Gambit as a TV series.
- 35:51Speaker 2: Oh it was, I think so?
- 35:52Speaker 1: Yeah limited, Yeah, yeah, I loved it. I saw it.
- 35:56Speaker 1: Maybe I just thought of it as a movie.
- 35:58Speaker 2: Uh yeah, you should watch them.
- 36:00Speaker 1: Okay, I'm gonna watch them.
- 36:01Speaker 3: Menu.
- 36:02Speaker 1: So Companion, you really can't talk too much about it,
- 36:05Speaker 1: but but I will say that as I was watching it,
- 36:09Speaker 1: I was thinking, like, oh, this is Bobby's Like this
- 36:13Speaker 1: is his kind of movie. Like I started watching it
- 36:16Speaker 1: with my eighteen year old son. He lasted about thirty
- 36:18Speaker 1: minutes like that. I like it, but I'm gonna go
- 36:21Speaker 1: to bed. So he went to bed, and then I
- 36:23Speaker 1: watched another half of it the next day, and my
- 36:25Speaker 1: wife's like, well, I'll watch a little bit with you.
- 36:28Speaker 1: She laughted at about five minutes, She's like, not my
- 36:30Speaker 1: kind of movie. I think if you.
- 36:31Speaker 2: Watched just the second half, though, you're getting different. I know,
- 36:35Speaker 2: watch the first because there were time watching that movie.
- 36:37Speaker 2: I was like, oh my god, I feel like I
- 36:39Speaker 2: can predict a lot of things to happen in movie.
- 36:41Speaker 1: Couldn't predict that one.
- 36:43Speaker 2: It's wild. Do you guys would watch it? Though? Okay,
- 36:44Speaker 2: that's a good one. I don't even watch movies. I've
- 36:46Speaker 2: watched seventeen in the past.
- 36:48Speaker 1: Look at you.
- 36:48Speaker 3: Yeah, I thought, yeah, the show because I've been watching
- 36:50Speaker 3: the second season of The Spy Movie or The Agency. Yes,
- 36:56Speaker 3: I just finished episode three last night.
- 36:57Speaker 2: And it gets better too. Yeah, he's awesome.
- 37:00Speaker 3: I'm so excited just to be able to finish that while.
- 37:03Speaker 1: But Bobby's been talking about it a while, like.
- 37:05Speaker 3: Season one I loved and then why My wife and
- 37:08Speaker 3: I started season two this weekend. We're three episodes in
- 37:11Speaker 3: and I was just like, I just want to finish this.
- 37:13Speaker 2: All night we would watch an episode of Night after
- 37:15Speaker 2: the baby went to bed.
- 37:16Speaker 1: YEP.
- 37:16Speaker 2: When it came out, and then then we just started
- 37:20Speaker 2: to even with the baby up, watch all pieces of it.
- 37:23Speaker 3: That's tough because you gotta you gotta watch it.
- 37:25Speaker 2: Yeah, both, yeah, yeah, of course, of course, yeah, that's
- 37:32Speaker 2: on a man, of course.
- 37:32Speaker 1: Are you not putting cartoons on you and or anything
- 37:35Speaker 1: with a baby.
- 37:36Speaker 2: No, my wife is very let's not expose the baby
- 37:40Speaker 2: to a lot of screen time. Smart Yeah what she
- 37:43Speaker 2: doesn't know?
- 37:45Speaker 1: Oh no, what do you do?
- 37:48Speaker 2: Well, it's not what I do, because there's a screensaver
- 37:54Speaker 2: that stays up. As soon as like the roku is
- 37:56Speaker 2: left idle for a while, it just goes to like
- 37:59Speaker 2: this fish screen saver her And so she doesn't think
- 38:02Speaker 2: anything of the screens ever being on because it's always on.
- 38:07Speaker 2: But that's screen the baby loves us. I turned the
- 38:09Speaker 2: baby around just to watch the fish.
- 38:11Speaker 4: I don't think that's bad.
- 38:13Speaker 2: It's still a screen. She is mesmerized by it.
- 38:17Speaker 1: So what is it like an aquarium? A fake an aquarium?
- 38:19Speaker 2: And the fisher all moving around And the reason they
- 38:20Speaker 2: keep it moving is so it doesn't burn on the screen,
- 38:23Speaker 2: because if it's one image, it's going to burn into
- 38:25Speaker 2: your screen if it's up forever. And so it's just
- 38:27Speaker 2: always moving and it also like rolls by it. Baby
- 38:30Speaker 2: will watch that screensaver. It's the greatest show ever. And
- 38:33Speaker 2: so I'm not really showing her anything on my phone
- 38:38Speaker 2: and my wife doesn't think anything of it because it's
- 38:40Speaker 2: always up. But as soon as my wife leaves the
- 38:41Speaker 2: room and I have an hour with it, turn around,
- 38:44Speaker 2: let's watch the fish.
- 38:45Speaker 3: Does she look at your phone? And the baby? Does
- 38:46Speaker 3: she look at your phone yet?
- 38:47Speaker 2: Like when she she tries, Yeah, she tries. I'm mostly
- 38:51Speaker 2: a fish guy.
- 38:53Speaker 3: It's on your screensaver.
- 38:54Speaker 2: Now. It's wild how these babies are so attractive to
- 38:58Speaker 2: screens so young.
- 39:00Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm telling you you're gonna freak out when she
- 39:01Speaker 1: gets your phone and she's gonna be able to navigate
- 39:03Speaker 1: through apps and close things and swipe up and it's crazy,
- 39:07Speaker 1: like it makes so much sense to them. I remember
- 39:09Speaker 1: when my little one was I don't know, four and
- 39:12Speaker 1: he just like next video pause it rewind it like
- 39:16Speaker 1: at four years old. I'm like, that's crazy. He gets it. Yeah.
- 39:20Speaker 3: Mine will grab the remote to the TV and they'll
- 39:22Speaker 3: point it. They don't really know what they're doing, but
- 39:24Speaker 3: they know that it controls it. And I'm like Oh no.
- 39:28Speaker 2: We do think about you sometimes because we only have one.
- 39:30Speaker 2: Oh dude, and we're like, man, we're tired. Yeah, Kevin's
- 39:34Speaker 2: got two. Yeah, it's the same time.
- 39:36Speaker 3: It's crazy. We say it all the time.
- 39:38Speaker 2: We're like, imagine if we only had one, but you
- 39:44Speaker 2: don't know the difference.
- 39:45Speaker 3: Which is great. So we always say because we're gonna
- 39:47Speaker 3: have more, and I'm like, hopefully we don't have another
- 39:49Speaker 3: set of twins. If we have one, it'll be easier.
- 39:51Speaker 2: Can you imagine if you have two? Does that ever
- 39:53Speaker 2: happen to people? You got anybody that has two sets
- 39:55Speaker 2: of twins?
- 39:56Speaker 3: I think somebody in my wife's family side, because's where
- 39:58Speaker 3: the twins come from.
- 39:59Speaker 1: A couple setsh Kevin. I wouldn't risk it, dude, Just stop.
- 40:04Speaker 3: Done, dude, if we have twins, I said, I'm getting surgery.
- 40:07Speaker 3: As we go out of the hospital, I.
- 40:09Speaker 1: Think it's gonna say I'm out, I'm leaving the family.
- 40:12Speaker 3: Yeah, we have another set, we're calling it. We're done.
- 40:14Speaker 2: After that, I started watching, like the first fifteen minutes
- 40:18Speaker 2: it was without Caitlin of Silo. Last night. Do you
- 40:20Speaker 2: guys watched Silo?
- 40:21Speaker 4: I think I saw the first season a few of the.
- 40:24Speaker 2: First season is really good. It's based on a book.
- 40:27Speaker 2: Something happens, like, I don't know, the world ends bomb
- 40:31Speaker 2: or something. So they live in these silos. They lived
- 40:33Speaker 2: there for hundreds of years, and it's kind of how
- 40:34Speaker 2: that the town community society functions. Again, it's right up
- 40:40Speaker 2: my alley. The season one was really good. Season two
- 40:42Speaker 2: kind of sucked. The season one was so good that
- 40:45Speaker 2: I started watching season three last night and it's I'm in.
- 40:49Speaker 2: I'm in for a minute.
- 40:50Speaker 4: Do you also watch season two?
- 40:51Speaker 2: Yeah, okay, yeah.
- 40:53Speaker 1: Like it's all connected.
- 40:54Speaker 2: Yeah, that rarely doesn't happen. Wait, it really happens when
- 40:58Speaker 2: they're not connected. Yeah. The Coen Brothers show, Mike Fargo, Fargo.
- 41:04Speaker 2: If you watch a television show those series is those
- 41:06Speaker 2: seasons ninety eight percent not connected. And I love that,
- 41:09Speaker 2: Like you can watch him completely out of order. There's
- 41:12Speaker 2: a bit of a through line, but we didn't watch
- 41:14Speaker 2: him order at all. We watched the John Hampseeason first.
- 41:19Speaker 2: He's such a good bad guy.
- 41:20Speaker 1: Yeah he is. He was the sheriff, I think so. Yeah, yeah, dude,
- 41:24Speaker 1: he played a great one of.
- 41:25Speaker 2: The best villains on a TV series I've ever seen.
- 41:27Speaker 4: I'm watching mad Men right now. I know, I'm super
- 41:30Speaker 4: I never.
- 41:30Speaker 2: Watched mad so is he a bad guy?
- 41:31Speaker 4: And mad Men?
- 41:32Speaker 2: I didn't go to the party.
- 41:33Speaker 4: I mean he's the he's the main character, and I
- 41:37Speaker 4: mean it's like you root for him, but he's also
- 41:40Speaker 4: like such a bad guy and you're like, oh, come on,
- 41:43Speaker 4: do better, do better, and he starts to do better
- 41:45Speaker 4: and then he just goes back to his old ways.
- 41:46Speaker 4: I'm on like season six. They's seven seasons. It is
- 41:50Speaker 4: so good, it's it's one of the best TV shows
- 41:52Speaker 4: I've ever seen.
- 41:53Speaker 2: I've heard that.
- 41:55Speaker 4: I just had to commit. It took me a lot,
- 41:57Speaker 4: so long.
- 41:59Speaker 2: Yeah, Like I started watching The Wire, yeah, because I'd
- 42:02Speaker 2: never seen The Wire and it's this is one of
- 42:05Speaker 2: the best shows ever and I do believe at the
- 42:07Speaker 2: time it's probably like transcendent television. And I watched it.
- 42:13Speaker 3: It's like, yeah, I thought the same. I think I
- 42:15Speaker 3: watched like two years ago.
- 42:16Speaker 2: Yeah, I watched it last year and I was like
- 42:18Speaker 2: that's good. Yeah, but I did not go to season two.
- 42:20Speaker 2: Yeah did you?
- 42:21Speaker 3: Oh? Yeah, I finished it.
- 42:22Speaker 2: How many seasons did you watch?
- 42:24Speaker 3: However many there were two or three? There wasn't that many.
- 42:27Speaker 3: Maybe there were more let's see, so.
- 42:30Speaker 2: You weren't so moved. There's just so much to watch,
- 42:32Speaker 2: and Netflix is having that problem now. I saw a
- 42:34Speaker 2: story where they aren't really able to get people to
- 42:37Speaker 2: watch the second seasons of anything.
- 42:39Speaker 1: Yeah, oh wow.
- 42:40Speaker 2: And I think the reason is, if I were to
- 42:42Speaker 2: have to create my theory is that we get super
- 42:45Speaker 2: excited about new shows, and if season one isn't awesome
- 42:49Speaker 2: with the heck of a cliffhanger, why would we jump
- 42:52Speaker 2: into something that was just kind of mid when there
- 42:53Speaker 2: are all these exciting new shows on at the same time.
- 42:56Speaker 2: So it's reinvest ourselves into something mid to pretty good,
- 42:58Speaker 2: or let's give something else that ants, because it is like,
- 43:00Speaker 2: look over there, look over there. I think that's why I've.
- 43:04Speaker 1: Kind of fallen into that groove a little bit like
- 43:07Speaker 1: your friends and neighbors. I'm having a hard time with
- 43:09Speaker 1: the second season, like almost I haven't. It's been almost
- 43:12Speaker 1: like a three or four weeks where I've just kind
- 43:14Speaker 1: of like, I'm not watching that anymore. I might not
- 43:16Speaker 1: watch it. I did that with a Bear two. First
- 43:18Speaker 1: season was great.
- 43:18Speaker 2: First season, we didn't watch the second. We started the
- 43:21Speaker 2: second and never finished the second season, and people were like,
- 43:23Speaker 2: it's so awesome, you should keep going.
- 43:26Speaker 4: I hear you.
- 43:26Speaker 2: At this point, I've kind of committed to not committing
- 43:28Speaker 2: right but friends and Neighbors. I love season one and
- 43:32Speaker 2: I kind of didn't care to go back to season two.
- 43:34Speaker 2: But I did enjoy season one and my wife was
- 43:36Speaker 2: very much into it, and so I'm glad we finished
- 43:40Speaker 2: season two because she was the one that wanted to
- 43:42Speaker 2: watch it and we enjoyed it. But I would have
- 43:45Speaker 2: probably not finished season two.
- 43:47Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm leaning towards and not going on.
- 43:48Speaker 2: It's good. I think you would like it. It takes
- 43:51Speaker 2: a second, but I would have not finished season two
- 43:54Speaker 2: if it weren't for my wife and it being one
- 43:55Speaker 2: of her shows. But side low, season one was so
- 43:58Speaker 2: good that it allowed season two to be kind of
- 44:00Speaker 2: bad for me to get back into season three. So
- 44:02Speaker 2: we'll see how that goes. But how many wire seasons
- 44:05Speaker 2: are there?
- 44:05Speaker 4: Five you watched?
- 44:08Speaker 3: Maybe it took me a while, maybe it's more than
- 44:10Speaker 3: two years.
- 44:10Speaker 2: Did it get better?
- 44:11Speaker 3: Was it COVID? I watched it then it had uh yeah, yes,
- 44:14Speaker 3: and no. I just remember ending and I'm like, yeah,
- 44:17Speaker 3: that was cool, But like I wasn't blown away by
- 44:19Speaker 3: any means.
- 44:20Speaker 2: That's how I felt. And if I'm not blown away,
- 44:21Speaker 2: I'm not gonna I'm gonna go find another show. Like
- 44:23Speaker 2: the one show that my wife wants to watch now
- 44:26Speaker 2: is Widow's Bay? What what Else?
- 44:29Speaker 1: Peak?
- 44:29Speaker 2: Whatose Bay?
- 44:30Speaker 3: Yeahs BA?
- 44:31Speaker 2: What is Bay? Yeah? It won like or is nominally
- 44:33Speaker 2: for like ninety four Emmys coming up, and it's got
- 44:36Speaker 2: the guy from the Americans.
- 44:37Speaker 1: How long ago did that come out?
- 44:38Speaker 2: Just recently?
- 44:39Speaker 1: Oh?
- 44:39Speaker 2: Okay, okay or in the past six months or so.
- 44:41Speaker 2: I don't know, but it's much year. It's like watch
- 44:44Speaker 2: The Wire season two that I was mad about, or
- 44:46Speaker 2: go to Widows Bay. Yeah, everybody's talking about.
- 44:48Speaker 3: Have you watched south Land? It's an older one from
- 44:51Speaker 3: like nine to thirteen. It's on Netflix now. It's like
- 44:54Speaker 3: a cop show in La. It's so good. I watched
- 44:57Speaker 3: it way back in the David I never finished and
- 44:59Speaker 3: I'm on the final season now rewatching it. It's taking
- 45:01Speaker 3: me a couple of months, but it's so good. Regina King,
- 45:04Speaker 3: a couple other actors you'd know for sure.
- 45:07Speaker 2: No, so good? Is so best? Your salon in that? No,
- 45:13Speaker 2: that's nah, he did another cop cop deal or he's
- 45:17Speaker 2: kind of fat.
- 45:18Speaker 1: Oh, Rocky, dude, let me tell you about There's something
- 45:21Speaker 1: that Sports Center did. It's like a ninety it's only
- 45:24Speaker 1: like ten minutes long. I think it's called seventy two Steps,
- 45:28Speaker 1: and it's uh, it's literally just a quick little ten
- 45:32Speaker 1: minute film on the shooting of that's the seventy two
- 45:36Speaker 1: Steps Rocky running up the Steps. Really cool? Wow, from
- 45:40Speaker 1: like the person that made the music, to the camera
- 45:42Speaker 1: guy and to all the people that go visit it today.
- 45:45Speaker 1: Dude was I watched it twice. I was like wow,
- 45:48Speaker 1: one because it was just ten minutes and I watched
- 45:50Speaker 1: it and I called my son down, like, hey, you
- 45:51Speaker 1: should watch this. This is really really cool. It's only
- 45:54Speaker 1: ten minutes long. Seventy two steps. Do you watch many
- 45:57Speaker 1: shows shows?
- 45:58Speaker 4: No?
- 45:59Speaker 1: Because the commitment for a show is hard for me.
- 46:03Speaker 4: Like that's how I feel about movies, though, Oh.
- 46:05Speaker 2: I agree with movies.
- 46:06Speaker 1: A movie for me is like a one and done.
- 46:07Speaker 1: I can get it done.
- 46:08Speaker 4: It's two hours, forty minute episode and be done.
- 46:13Speaker 1: Like I just watched Sheep Detectives not bad guys?
- 46:18Speaker 2: Is it because the boys are with you?
- 46:19Speaker 1: Yeah? As a family thing, because I think.
- 46:21Speaker 2: You'd like the agents. I don't know if you would.
- 46:24Speaker 2: We love CI FBI stuff me too, like a conspiracy
- 46:28Speaker 2: stuff like Cicario. I'd never seen that. I watched that
- 46:30Speaker 2: during the break so good.
- 46:32Speaker 1: Yeah, that one's god seem so good. But that's a movie, right, Yeah.
- 46:35Speaker 2: But I'm just saying, if it's at CIA or FBI,
- 46:38Speaker 2: like I'm in, you have to prove to me you
- 46:40Speaker 2: ain't good. I'm gonna go to it instead of proving
- 46:44Speaker 2: that you are. Like, I'm just gonna believe it's good
- 46:46Speaker 2: until I get there and you can it sucks. But
- 46:48Speaker 2: c Caario's good, awesome?
- 46:49Speaker 3: Yeah, what two of them?
- 46:50Speaker 2: I think I didn't watch Cicario two. I haven't seen
- 46:52Speaker 2: it yet. I know there is a sequel, but I
- 46:55Speaker 2: haven't been. There's watch it again.
- 46:57Speaker 1: We watched recently, Uh Mark.
- 47:01Speaker 2: That was really good. And there's so many shows it's
- 47:02Speaker 2: hard to even remember names. But the HBO show.
- 47:04Speaker 1: About Tasks, see, like I loved Tasks great and there's
- 47:09Speaker 1: no conspiracy about that. It was just kind of straightforward,
- 47:12Speaker 1: like straightforward show.
- 47:14Speaker 2: What do you mean conspiracy about that?
- 47:15Speaker 1: Well, because like the ones you like are kind of
- 47:18Speaker 1: like CIA somebody like that was that nobody went in
- 47:22Speaker 1: time like nobody went in a time machine.
- 47:24Speaker 2: Oh no, no, okay, So you're talking sci fi type things. Yeah,
- 47:29Speaker 2: like you like End of the World, and also I
- 47:31Speaker 2: like CIA FBI that has nothing to do with machines.
- 47:35Speaker 1: CIA that they don't do like conspiracy stuff.
- 47:38Speaker 2: I don't think you used a conspiracy, right, Okay, So
- 47:41Speaker 2: I'm thinking, like, okay, so CIA, like they do something
- 47:45Speaker 2: and everyone thinks it's someone else, but the CIA really
- 47:48Speaker 2: did it.
- 47:49Speaker 1: So everyone has a conspiracy about like theory of sounds
- 47:52Speaker 1: like you're.
- 47:52Speaker 2: Talking about the show Three's Company where there's just always
- 47:54Speaker 2: some confusion every episode.
- 47:56Speaker 1: No, no, like, uh, what's the movie with a Franco
- 48:01Speaker 1: about the jfk assassination?
- 48:03Speaker 2: Okay, but that's time travel.
- 48:05Speaker 1: See I thought that was like CIA. It wasn't that
- 48:07Speaker 1: CIA involved.
- 48:07Speaker 2: But it was time travel. Okay, But the CIA has
- 48:11Speaker 2: been rumored to have been a part of the telling.
- 48:13Speaker 1: I'm talking about you like that stuff.
- 48:16Speaker 2: But you're talking about science fiction type stuff, apocalypse, time travel, zombies,
- 48:21Speaker 2: yeah yeh yeah yeah, but task was about FBI.
- 48:26Speaker 1: Yeah. I like, somebody's murdered and they're trying to figure
- 48:29Speaker 1: out who it was, and oh it's.
- 48:30Speaker 2: Okay, and there can be a conspiracy like, uh, there's
- 48:33Speaker 2: another narrative that is being pushed by a body that
- 48:35Speaker 2: has power, but it's not true, like that can happen.
- 48:37Speaker 2: That's a conspiracy.
- 48:38Speaker 1: Okay, I got it, I got it. I don't mind
- 48:40Speaker 1: that so much.
- 48:40Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 48:41Speaker 1: Yeah, it's the end of the world stuff that throws
- 48:43Speaker 1: me off.
- 48:44Speaker 2: Task is good.
- 48:45Speaker 1: Task was really good. I think you like the an
- 48:48Speaker 1: agency stays in our world.
- 48:50Speaker 2: Oh my god, dude, yes, everything else, I get it.
- 48:53Speaker 2: There's there's no AI, there's no time travel. I do
- 48:57Speaker 2: like that, so that's fair. But the agency is American
- 49:01Speaker 2: CIA and they live in London, and there's no one's
- 49:05Speaker 2: an alien. No one's an alien.
- 49:07Speaker 4: Okay. Going back to was it Fargo that you said, John, Yeah,
- 49:10Speaker 4: John ham was in Oh yes, I gotta.
- 49:12Speaker 1: Check that out.
- 49:12Speaker 2: O love to just start on that season because John
- 49:16Speaker 2: Hamlin you can watch that season and then retire from
- 49:19Speaker 2: the show.
- 49:19Speaker 4: Okay, he's probably become my favorite actor.
- 49:23Speaker 2: He is so unlikable in that series. He's the top
- 49:28Speaker 2: one of the top television villains from this series from
- 49:31Speaker 2: that one season that I've ever seen like him. I
- 49:34Speaker 2: put him John Litzgal from the season of.
- 49:40Speaker 1: Uh oh oh oh, can you name it? He's the
- 49:46Speaker 1: Old Man.
- 49:47Speaker 2: Well, John Litzgal plays and then he plays a bad guy.
- 49:50Speaker 1: But it's.
- 49:53Speaker 2: It's about a guy who's a detective but he's also
- 49:55Speaker 2: a murderer. It's not fresh Horses, No, but that's good.
- 49:59Speaker 2: That's uh uh like m I five and my six.
- 50:02Speaker 1: Oh that's the version.
- 50:05Speaker 2: Yeah, what's it called slow horses? Yeah, fresh horses, fresh horses,
- 50:10Speaker 2: slow horses, red horses. Really good on Caple.
- 50:13Speaker 1: John lithg Harry and Anderson's but he's.
- 50:16Speaker 2: Great Harry and Anderson's.
- 50:18Speaker 1: I can't think of the show he's in. I'm thinking
- 50:22Speaker 1: of it's The Old Man, right, he's in The Old Man.
- 50:24Speaker 2: So the show is Dexter.
- 50:25Speaker 1: Dexter.
- 50:26Speaker 2: Did you ever watch Dexter. It's excellent because Dexter is
- 50:30Speaker 2: he's like forensic forensic detective type person microld analysts, right yeah, yeah,
- 50:37Speaker 2: so but he's also a murderer, but he's out, he's
- 50:41Speaker 2: out killing bad guys that need to be murdered.
- 50:44Speaker 1: And he's the redhead.
- 50:45Speaker 2: So he has insane knowledge in that area because of
- 50:48Speaker 2: his job, because he's like a blood spladder analyst, forensic
- 50:52Speaker 2: whoa so he's able to use that and go on
- 50:54Speaker 2: murder bad guys.
- 50:56Speaker 1: That's kind of cool.
- 50:57Speaker 2: And in that show, his sister on the show their characters, right,
- 51:02Speaker 2: she's a big role in the show. They start that
- 51:05Speaker 2: show and they're just two actors. They fall in love
- 51:08Speaker 2: while filming the show, get married, right, So the brother
- 51:11Speaker 2: and sister on the show, they fall in love and
- 51:13Speaker 2: get married. Then they get divorced and they're still acting
- 51:16Speaker 2: beside each other. Brother and sister on the show.
- 51:19Speaker 1: That's gonna be tough, going to work every day.
- 51:21Speaker 2: Then you got cancer. Oh Dexter did not the good
- 51:25Speaker 2: real actor? Yeah wow? Then then he got good. I
- 51:29Speaker 2: can beat it.
- 51:30Speaker 1: Oh okay, yeah wow.
- 51:32Speaker 2: It's a great show. I don't I don't recommend many
- 51:34Speaker 2: people to go watch shows from ten years or so ago
- 51:36Speaker 2: because there're so many good ones now. But Deck Stars
- 51:38Speaker 2: like eight seasons. It's for it's quite the commitment. I'm
- 51:40Speaker 2: not recommending it. But John Litzgal is one of the
- 51:43Speaker 2: best TV villains I think I've ever seen him. John
- 51:46Speaker 2: Hamm over there and Fargo.
- 51:50Speaker 1: I gotta see that Fargo. So the John Hammon one's
- 51:52Speaker 1: really good. And then I remember watching the Girl from
- 51:56Speaker 1: Ted Lasso.
- 51:57Speaker 2: Mm hmm.
- 51:57Speaker 1: He's quick.
- 51:58Speaker 2: That's a that's a great season and that's the Hargo two.
- 52:01Speaker 2: I watch that one next. I think it's the next
- 52:02Speaker 2: one after that.
- 52:03Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, I would watch those two.
- 52:05Speaker 3: Did you see the ted Lasso guy who plays soccer.
- 52:08Speaker 3: I can't remember his name. He's on the team, but
- 52:10Speaker 3: he made his or not MLS but like professional soccer
- 52:13Speaker 3: debut the other night he was on ted Lasso. I
- 52:16Speaker 3: can't remember his name right now, let's see Danny something
- 52:18Speaker 3: I think the guy.
- 52:19Speaker 1: Yeah, that's cool.
- 52:20Speaker 2: He actually he actually played soccer.
- 52:22Speaker 3: Yeah, he made his debut the other night.
- 52:25Speaker 1: Danny Rojas.
- 52:26Speaker 2: Yeah right, Yeah, that's a show I didn't go back to.
- 52:29Speaker 2: I loved season one. I'm talking about put it in
- 52:32Speaker 2: my heart, put it in there, lock it up. That
- 52:34Speaker 2: made me feel so good. Watched like an episode of
- 52:37Speaker 2: season two and just was like, I'm.
- 52:38Speaker 1: Out, Really, how many are there? Because I watched them
- 52:42Speaker 1: all three? I love They're so good.
- 52:45Speaker 3: Before it comes out next month. Oh there's another one. Wow,
- 52:49Speaker 3: I didn't know that.
- 52:51Speaker 1: But you're done.
- 52:52Speaker 2: You're done a while, I mean, adam am I I
- 52:54Speaker 2: just watched it and never went back.
- 52:56Speaker 1: Just yeah, I think again, like you kind of missed
- 52:59Speaker 1: the train.
- 53:00Speaker 2: And I'm okay. Once I've start trying. There's so many
- 53:02Speaker 2: other trains. I'm okay getting on a different train, subway. Yeah, yeah,
- 53:05Speaker 2: I'll just take the next one.
- 53:07Speaker 4: Did you guys ever get into Severn's Oh yeah, season
- 53:11Speaker 4: It's one of my favorite shows, except the second season sucks.
- 53:14Speaker 2: For half the season, it was terrible and then it
- 53:17Speaker 2: got really good again. It like leaves you. But I
- 53:19Speaker 2: thought season was one of the best seasons of any
- 53:21Speaker 2: television show I've ever seen ever.
- 53:22Speaker 4: Same.
- 53:23Speaker 1: See, that's one that's kind of weird that I actually
- 53:25Speaker 1: it's weird not to like, but I liked it.
- 53:27Speaker 2: Yeah, it's weird.
- 53:28Speaker 4: I've never seen any show like that.
- 53:30Speaker 2: As you would say, any lots of conspiracies, time travel.
- 53:33Speaker 1: As long as we stay here on Earth, I'm pretty good.
- 53:36Speaker 2: What do you think your favorite show is of all time,
- 53:38Speaker 2: all time?
- 53:38Speaker 1: Breaking bad?
- 53:40Speaker 2: Wow?
- 53:41Speaker 3: You trying to think? I mean I loved, like, uh,
- 53:49Speaker 3: Peaky Blinders. Probably Okay, is up there? That's the first
- 53:53Speaker 3: thing that comes on my mind, Brandon.
- 53:54Speaker 4: Probably The Office?
- 53:56Speaker 2: Yeah, the Office. I mean, I'm gonna kill Black Mirror.
- 54:03Speaker 1: Oh you love Black Mirror.
- 54:05Speaker 2: No show has done to me what Black Mirror has
- 54:08Speaker 2: done to me?
- 54:10Speaker 1: And is it because you're just like, wow, like the
- 54:12Speaker 1: fact that they thought of that, it's pretty amazing.
- 54:14Speaker 2: There's not a single thought or feeling that makes me
- 54:18Speaker 2: love that show.
- 54:19Speaker 4: So that's why I'm afraid to watch it.
- 54:21Speaker 2: It messes you up. Yeah, yes, And no episodes are connected,
- 54:26Speaker 2: and it's been pretty predictive with certain episodes, at least
- 54:30Speaker 2: in the general direction that life's going. And that's my
- 54:34Speaker 2: favorite show.
- 54:34Speaker 4: In what way does it mess you up? Just like
- 54:37Speaker 4: the way you see life.
- 54:39Speaker 2: Or just it's a pretty good indicator of what's to come. Oh,
- 54:44Speaker 2: because some of what's to come has already somewhat come.
- 54:48Speaker 1: Yeah, Oh that's crazy.
- 54:49Speaker 3: The last one I watched, not the spoiler here, but
- 54:53Speaker 3: where they goes to space the guy from forty Days
- 54:55Speaker 3: for forty nights.
- 54:56Speaker 2: So that's good. That's a movie. That's the movie one,
- 54:58Speaker 2: the long one, right, Mike.
- 54:59Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, that's the last one I watched. All the
- 55:01Speaker 3: Jesse Pinkman, I'm done here.
- 55:03Speaker 2: Oh yeah, it screws you up. Yeah, And that's not
- 55:05Speaker 2: even like a I'd say that's a semi soft one.
- 55:10Speaker 3: I agree because I've seen other ones, but that was
- 55:11Speaker 3: a lot one where I was like, no, I'm good,
- 55:14Speaker 3: I'm going to get out of this.
- 55:15Speaker 2: I don't think I've watched an episode twice. I don't
- 55:16Speaker 2: need to. I just want to remember the feeling they
- 55:18Speaker 2: made me feel when it was over.
- 55:20Speaker 1: I watched that first one, was that the game show?
