- 1:37Speaker 2: to get to on the show today, September 23rd. Today
- 1:40Speaker 2: is National Apple Cider Vinegar Day.
- 1:43Speaker 4: Really?
- 1:44Speaker 2: I seem to remember, weren't people drinking that crap for
- 1:46Speaker 2: a while?
- 1:47Speaker 5: Yeah, I'm sick of hearing about it.
- 1:49Speaker 3: To try to lose weight?
- 1:50Speaker 6: Oh no, it really does help your stomach.
- 1:53Speaker 5: I would take it.
- 1:54Speaker 2: When I would get really.
- 1:55Speaker 6: Sick from eating something, it would make the pain go away.
- 1:58Speaker 6: It didn't make me not sick, but it made the
- 2:00Speaker 6: pain not.
- 2:00Speaker 2: Like smelling that stuff and then the idea of vinegar.
- 2:03Speaker 5: Can't do it.
- 2:04Speaker 2: I think it would be the opposite. It sounds like
- 2:06Speaker 2: something that would tear a hole in your stomach.
- 2:08Speaker 5: Seriously. I don't get how it helps. I really don't.
- 2:10Speaker 3: Me neither.
- 2:11Speaker 5: All I know is that it does.
- 2:12Speaker 2: That was a big thing for a minute.
- 2:14Speaker 3: People drink the red wine vinegar too. Yeah.
- 2:16Speaker 2: Today's National Checkers Day. Checkers. Checkers. Yeah, like the game.
- 2:22Speaker 5: Like King Me, Checkers.
- 2:24Speaker 2: I played it once a year at Cracker Barrel. That's
- 2:26Speaker 2: about it. So there's another version of it, right? With
- 2:30Speaker 2: the golf tees, right? It's not a trial game. Oh,
- 2:32Speaker 2: that's a peg game. That's a one-player game. Yeah, but
- 2:36Speaker 2: isn't it called something checkers? Like, it's a type of checkers?
- 2:39Speaker 2: What was Chinese checkers? A slur, probably. No, because it
- 2:43Speaker 2: had little marbles and stuff, right?
- 2:45Speaker 5: Yeah, there was a star, you know, the marbles. You
- 2:46Speaker 5: had to move them across to the other side.
- 2:48Speaker 2: Yeah, what about chubby checker? Chubby checker?
- 2:51Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 2:51Speaker 5: A twist?
- 2:52Speaker 2: It's international... International Day of Sign Languages. Today is National
- 2:58Speaker 2: Great American Pot Pie Day. Give it to me. For
- 3:02Speaker 2: some time now, I've been eyeing the pot pie at Costco,
- 3:05Speaker 2: which is about 25 pounds. And I thought to myself,
- 3:08Speaker 2: number one, if I brought this in here, would you
- 3:09Speaker 2: guys eat it?
- 3:10Speaker 5: Are you kidding us? We would destroy it. But number two,
- 3:13Speaker 5: I'd have to bake it at home because it wouldn't
- 3:15Speaker 5: fit inside the little office oven.
- 3:17Speaker 2: But we need it.
- 3:18Speaker 6: I was just at a wedding that was passing around
- 3:21Speaker 6: hors d'oeuvres that had mini little pot pies and it
- 3:24Speaker 6: was so good.
- 3:25Speaker 2: How many did you eat, Fat Sammy?
- 3:27Speaker 5: So many.
- 3:29Speaker 2: I'm going to say this and I've been over here going,
- 3:32Speaker 2: you know, I'm going to keep my mouth shut because
- 3:33Speaker 2: then you guys will not eat it. Oh, God. But
- 3:37Speaker 2: that Costco chicken pot pie, that giant one is good. Yeah.
- 3:41Speaker 2: I think it's really good. You've had it? Yeah, a
- 3:43Speaker 2: number of times. Uh-oh. See? That means it's probably garbage.
- 3:49Speaker 5: Uh-oh.
- 3:49Speaker 2: Pro tip. Pro tip is to make sure you brush
- 3:52Speaker 2: the butter, like some melted butter over the top of
- 3:55Speaker 2: it when you bake it. Oh, I thought you were
- 3:58Speaker 2: going to say, like.
- 3:58Speaker 5: Pro tip, clear your schedule afterwards.
- 4:01Speaker 2: No, it's really good.
- 4:02Speaker 5: I want it so bad.
- 4:03Speaker 2: Today is National Snack Stick Day. Okay. Snack sticks?
- 4:07Speaker 5: Like meat sticks?
- 4:08Speaker 2: Yeah, they can't say Slim Jim. That reminds me, there
- 4:11Speaker 2: was another dumb world record for you, Greg. Oh, rip. Yeah,
- 4:14Speaker 2: some people in Omaha, they created the longest Slim Jim. Now,
- 4:18Speaker 2: it had to be coiled around a big, like, you know,
- 4:20Speaker 2: wire rack kind of thing. But once they unspooled it,
- 4:22Speaker 2: it came out to 429 feet and 5 inches long.
- 4:26Speaker 3: Damn.
- 4:27Speaker 2: Of Slim Jim. Massive meat.
- 4:29Speaker 3: They eat it?
- 4:29Speaker 2: That's huge.
- 4:30Speaker 3: That is beyond huge.
- 4:32Speaker 2: Yeah. I mean, I'm not a big jerky guy. But
- 4:35Speaker 2: every once in a while, pretty good. But it beat
- 4:36Speaker 2: the old record quite handily by 116 feet.
- 4:38Speaker 1: Damn.
- 4:38Speaker 2: That's a lot of Slim Jim. Oh, yeah. Step into
- 4:41Speaker 2: a Slim Jim. Dude, why is beef jerky like $ 9
- 4:46Speaker 2: million an ounce?
- 4:47Speaker 5: Every single bag.
- 4:48Speaker 3: Good God.
- 4:50Speaker 2: Today in history, Menace. It was today in 1962. that
- 4:56Speaker 2: the Jetsons premiered on ABC. Wow. The cartoon series was
- 5:01Speaker 2: the first program to be carried by the network in color.
- 5:06Speaker 2: The Jetsons had AI and everybody was fine. So stop
- 5:08Speaker 2: freaking out.
- 5:09Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 5:10Speaker 2: They were living it up.
- 5:11Speaker 5: And that was probably supposed to be like 2000 or something.
- 5:13Speaker 2: I love the Jetsons.
- 5:14Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 5:15Speaker 2: And they had a sex robot. Yep.
- 5:16Speaker 7: Rosie.
- 5:16Speaker 5: She was a sex robot.
- 5:18Speaker 2: No, it was the dog. Oh, there was a sex robot. Yeah. Yeah.
- 5:22Speaker 2: A sex dog robot.
- 5:23Speaker 5: Oh, 2062.
- 5:24Speaker 2: The other thing they got wrong about the future is
- 5:27Speaker 2: that Mr. Stanley was mean and yelled. And as a
- 5:30Speaker 2: manager in 2026, here in the future, you're not allowed
- 5:34Speaker 2: to yell. Well, maybe by that time. It turned around.
- 5:39Speaker 5: Yeah, you'd be able to yell again. Yeah, was it
- 5:41Speaker 5: Stanley's Sprockets and Cogsworth's Cogs?
- 5:43Speaker 2: Yeah, those were the competing companies. That was the Pepsi
- 5:47Speaker 2: to their Coke.
- 5:47Speaker 5: That's right.
- 5:48Speaker 2: Yeah, I do like somebody used AI or something to reimagine.
- 5:53Speaker 2: Remember the beginning of the show? And they're doing like,
- 5:56Speaker 2: you know, Daughter Judy.
- 5:58Speaker 3: Jane, his wife.
- 5:59Speaker 2: Yeah, and then.
- 6:03Speaker 2: He goes to take some money out of the wallet
- 6:06Speaker 2: because she's going shopping. Because that's what she does all day.
- 6:08Speaker 2: That's what women do. She's a woman of the future.
- 6:10Speaker 5: That's right.
- 6:10Speaker 2: She's going to go shopping. They don't have to work.
- 6:12Speaker 2: And then she took the entire wallet full of cash
- 6:14Speaker 2: and left him with a couple bucks.
- 6:15Speaker 4: Yep.
- 6:15Speaker 2: And then drops out of the bottom of the little
- 6:19Speaker 2: space car, the flying car. That's what women would be doing. Yeah,
- 6:21Speaker 2: but somebody, did you see the AI version?
- 6:22Speaker 4: No.
- 6:23Speaker 2: Where he's like, no, no, no. Hey, hey, bitch. I
- 6:26Speaker 2: gave you the $ 2. This is for me. This is
- 6:32Speaker 2: for you. I don't want to spoil your beans here,
- 6:35Speaker 2: but that's a Family Guy parody. Oh, it is? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Oh, okay. Well,
- 6:39Speaker 2: whoever did it was really good. I didn't see it
- 6:41Speaker 2: on the Family Guy. Shout out to Seth. Shout out
- 6:44Speaker 2: to Seth MacFarlane.
- 6:45Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 6:47Speaker 2: Sorry for giving the credit to AI.
- 6:49Speaker 3: For spoiling your beans.
- 6:51Speaker 6: Also, fun fact about the Jetsons is that the mom,
- 6:54Speaker 6: Jane Jackson, was like 33, and the daughter, Judy, was 16.
- 6:57Speaker 2: Do the math.
- 6:58Speaker 5: Oh, damn.
- 6:59Speaker 9: Wait, in the future you can do that?
- 7:03Speaker 2: Yeah, they got real cool about age consent.
- 7:05Speaker 3: Yeah, they don't care.
- 7:05Speaker 2: That's because Jane. You full-fledged slut.
- 7:08Speaker 3: 17-year-old whore.
- 7:11Speaker 2: Yeah, Jane. Jeez.
- 7:13Speaker 5: Yeah, and George Judson, 40.
- 7:15Speaker 10: Gross.
- 7:15Speaker 2: Oh, what? That's problematic. Yeah, I agree. I didn't realize
- 7:21Speaker 2: it was in Alabama. Time for your birthdays. All right,
- 7:26Speaker 2: starting with some celebrity birthdays. He was George Costanza on Seinfeld,
- 7:31Speaker 2: Jason Alexander. Nice. I saw his ice cream one time. Yeah,
- 7:43Speaker 2: he's pretty interesting. He's 67 years old today. Your favorite Gregori.
- 7:49Speaker 3: All right.
- 7:51Speaker 2: Whose birthday? One of Greg's favorite people. I say that sarcastically.
- 7:56Speaker 2: Billy Porter.
- 7:58Speaker 3: Is it a Billy?
- 7:58Speaker 2: No, it was just Billy Porter's birthday. Yeah, yes.
- 8:01Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 8:02Speaker 3: Is it a different Billy?
- 8:04Speaker 7: No.
- 8:04Speaker 3: Is it a Bruce?
- 8:07Speaker 2: Bruce Springsteen.
- 8:08Speaker 5: Oh, God.
- 8:09Speaker 3: Lucky. Well, you know what? Accentuate the positive. He's getting
- 8:13Speaker 3: older and hopefully closer to death.
- 8:15Speaker 2: Wow.
- 8:16Speaker 5: Not anymore.
- 8:17Speaker 2: Greg hates him some Bruce Springsteen. And not, I mean,
- 8:20Speaker 2: just him as a person. Everything about him.
- 8:22Speaker 3: Person, his voice. Yeah. All the people he duped into
- 8:26Speaker 3: thinking he could sing.
- 8:27Speaker 2: I'm not a Bruce Springsteen worshiper, but he does have
- 8:31Speaker 2: a few good songs.
- 8:32Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 8:33Speaker 3: No.
- 8:33Speaker 2: Bruce Springsteen is 77 today. Anthony Mackie. from the Marvel movies.
- 8:38Speaker 1: Okay.
- 8:39Speaker 2: And a whole bunch of other stuff. Eight Mile, The
- 8:41Speaker 2: Hurt Locker. He's 48. Hasan Minhaj. Oh, yeah. That's his boyfriend.
- 8:45Speaker 2: Hasan Minhaj. Is 41. That's his name. Yep. He was
- 8:50Speaker 2: Anna Kendrick's boyfriend, Jesse, in the Pitch Perfect movies. Skylar Astin.
- 8:56Speaker 5: Yes. Love him.
- 8:58Speaker 2: Is 39 years old today. Lazy Bone from Bone Thugs-N-Harmony
- 9:01Speaker 2: is 52. And Julio Iglesias, the master Spanish swordsman. Enrique's father.
- 9:07Speaker 2: He is 83 years old today.
- 9:09Speaker 8: Nice.
- 9:09Speaker 2: And then you got your porno birthday. Today's porno birthday
- 9:12Speaker 2: is Jane Wild. And today's birthday girl, she's had more
- 9:15Speaker 2: bones in her than a dumpster behind KFC. Good one, Morgan.
- 9:20Speaker 2: 925 fine films, including... If at fist, you don't succeed.
- 9:27Speaker 5: Amazing.
- 9:28Speaker 2: She was in Bushy Babes Volumes 4 and 5.
- 9:31Speaker 5: God bless her.
- 9:32Speaker 2: She was fantastic in The Best Butt Sluts Volume 2.
- 9:35Speaker 2: The best? Visiting My Anal In-Laws. She was in I
- 9:40Speaker 2: Banged a Black Guy with My Stepmom. Also, Greg, Lesbian
- 9:43Speaker 2: Domestic Dispute.
- 9:45Speaker 5: Uh-oh.
- 9:46Speaker 2: She was in Squirtmasters Fountain of Juice.
- 9:48Speaker 3: Sick.
- 9:49Speaker 2: And then who can forget her unforgettable role in Wow,
- 9:53Speaker 2: We're Kind of Sluts, Huh? You know, I just realized
- 9:57Speaker 2: that's Jane Wilde, who's 28 years old. old today. And
- 10:01Speaker 2: that's your porno birthday, your celebrity birthdays. And that look
- 10:06Speaker 2: of a couple of things to... A couple of big holidays.
- 10:09Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 10:10Speaker 2: Hot Pie Day. Yeah.
- 10:12Speaker 3: Love that.
- 10:12Speaker 2: Yeah. Billy Porter got a mention.
- 10:14Speaker 9: I forgot to tell you that Billy Porter was... He
- 10:18Speaker 9: got spotted by one of my friends at a gay
- 10:20Speaker 9: club called the Tool Shed, Greg.
- 10:22Speaker 3: Oh, did he? Yeah.
- 10:23Speaker 2: If you want the address. Oh, yeah. Maybe he'll run
- 10:26Speaker 2: into him there.
- 10:27Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 10:27Speaker 2: The Tool Shed.
- 10:28Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 10:29Speaker 3: All right.
- 10:30Speaker 2: Take a quick break. More Woody Show is next. Hang on.
- 10:37Speaker 2: Are you going to be in or around Rancho Cucamonga
- 10:40Speaker 2: this Thursday, September 24th? What's up, everybody? It's Menace.
- 10:44Speaker 7: I'm going to be at Living Spaces from 5 to
- 10:47Speaker 7: 7 p.m. Giving away thousands of dollars worth of gift
- 10:51Speaker 7: cards and so much more. Again, this Thursday, September 24th
- 10:56Speaker 7: from 5 to 7 p.m.
- 10:58Speaker 2: At Living Spaces. In the meantime, keep enjoying the Woody
- 11:01Speaker 2: Show podcast. All right. Time to check in with Gina Grad.
- 11:10Speaker 5: Well, Converse has pulled that ad featuring that K-pop star
- 11:13Speaker 5: Karina after people said the image looked like a KKK
- 11:17Speaker 5: lynching imagery thing. I don't know if you've seen the picture,
- 11:20Speaker 5: but definitely Google it.
- 11:21Speaker 2: When you zoom in and then you screenshot the zoomed
- 11:23Speaker 2: in thing.
- 11:24Speaker 5: Wait a second. Karina was holding a pair of black
- 11:28Speaker 5: Chuck Taylors while a triangle white shape behind her was
- 11:32Speaker 5: compared to a KKK hood. And the dangling shoes were
- 11:35Speaker 5: interpreted by some people as someone being hanged. Converse apologized.
- 11:39Speaker 5: They removed the image and says it's reviewing how the
- 11:41Speaker 5: ad got approved.
- 11:42Speaker 2: See, like when you see the entire ad and you
- 11:45Speaker 2: would just show it to somebody, you go, oh, but
- 11:47Speaker 2: that's not how any of the coverage was. All the
- 11:49Speaker 2: coverage was all cropped. The cropped zoomed in image. They
- 11:52Speaker 2: go and they told you what you were looking for.
- 11:55Speaker 2: It's like when you say, oh, this dog says I
- 11:57Speaker 2: love you.
- 12:00Speaker 8: Right.
- 12:00Speaker 2: Just because there's like a when you tell people that
- 12:02Speaker 2: they're going to see that.
- 12:05Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 12:05Speaker 3: In the uncropped image, you can tell they're just holding
- 12:08Speaker 3: a pair of shoes.
- 12:08Speaker 5: Exactly. But I did look it up because that's exactly
- 12:11Speaker 5: what I wanted to know. And it did look like
- 12:13Speaker 5: one of the ads was that picture. It was like
- 12:15Speaker 5: the icon Chuck Taylor coming this date or whatever.
- 12:18Speaker 2: Now, even when I saw the full ad, it didn't
- 12:21Speaker 2: make me want to buy those shoes. So maybe not
- 12:23Speaker 2: a great ad anyway. Yeah. I wasn't like, man, I
- 12:25Speaker 2: got to get these shoes.
- 12:25Speaker 5: Don't blame the ad.
- 12:27Speaker 9: It's funny that you say that because somebody was just
- 12:29Speaker 9: talking to me the other day. Or it was an
- 12:32Speaker 9: image that I saw like multiple times and didn't even
- 12:34Speaker 9: think anything about it. And they go, look, look at
- 12:36Speaker 9: this image. Does it look like there's a penis in it?
- 12:39Speaker 9: And I go, oh yeah, it does look like a penis.
- 12:42Speaker 3: But it goes- If you're looking for it.
- 12:43Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah.
- 12:43Speaker 5: They suggested the image and you saw it.
- 12:45Speaker 2: And I usually have penis on the mind. Exactly. Everything
- 12:49Speaker 2: looks like a penis. What was the audio? Like green needle?
- 12:54Speaker 5: Green needle.
- 12:54Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 12:55Speaker 3: And brainstorm.
- 12:56Speaker 2: Yes.
- 12:57Speaker 5: Oh my God. I couldn't think of the other word
- 12:58Speaker 5: the other night. It was driving me crazy.
- 13:00Speaker 2: It was the weirdest, though.
- 13:02Speaker 5: Rainstorm and Green Needle.
- 13:04Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 13:04Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 13:04Speaker 2: Brainstorm.
- 13:05Speaker 5: Is it Brainstorm?
- 13:06Speaker 3: Brainstorm.
- 13:07Speaker 8: Okay.
- 13:07Speaker 6: Okay.
- 13:08Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 13:08Speaker 5: And that one, I don't know how they do it.
- 13:10Speaker 3: It's weird.
- 13:11Speaker 5: It just makes you remember how dumb we are as humans.
- 13:14Speaker 5: We can be tricked that easily.
- 13:15Speaker 2: Yeah. You tell people what they're watching for or listening
- 13:18Speaker 2: for and they'll get it. Yeah. Okay.
- 13:20Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 13:20Speaker 2: Here's you want to hear the clip? Yes. All right.
- 13:22Speaker 2: So what does this say? Green needle or brainstorm? I'm
- 13:26Speaker 2: going to tell you it says green needle.
- 13:29Speaker 5: Got it.
- 13:29Speaker 2: Tell me if you hear anything else.
- 13:35Speaker 5: Right.
- 13:35Speaker 2: Now, when I tell you, oh, you're going to hear
- 13:37Speaker 2: brainstorm and you listen to it thinking brainstorm. So brainstorm
- 13:41Speaker 2: is what you want. Brainstorm is what you're listening for.
- 13:43Speaker 2: Brainstorm is in this clip.
- 13:49Speaker 5: See, it literally sounds like you play two different clips.
- 13:52Speaker 3: It's so clear.
- 13:53Speaker 2: Right. It's so weird.
- 13:55Speaker 8: Wow.
- 13:56Speaker 5: Well, an ICE officer who shot that dude in Austin
- 13:59Speaker 5: over the weekend wasn't wearing his assigned body camera.
- 14:02Speaker 2: Accidentally forgot it.
- 14:03Speaker 5: Agents were trying to arrest this guy who had an
- 14:05Speaker 5: outstanding deportation order when the ICE officer shot him in
- 14:08Speaker 5: the back. He was treated at a hospital and transferred
- 14:11Speaker 5: into federal custody. The whole thing is under investigation, but
- 14:16Speaker 5: now we have a camera these days and this guy's
- 14:18Speaker 5: an idiot for not wearing it.
- 14:20Speaker 2: Well, look, here's the thing. Uh, the, the body cam
- 14:24Speaker 2: has been the best thing to happen to law enforcement
- 14:27Speaker 2: because now think about dash cams for your car.
- 14:29Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 14:30Speaker 2: Everything's on deck when people go, Oh no, this happened.
- 14:32Speaker 2: Oh really? Here's the dash cam video. And there, now
- 14:35Speaker 2: there's no disputing it. So if you are doing the
- 14:37Speaker 2: right thing, you're a police officer, uh, in this case,
- 14:41Speaker 2: ice agent, whatever you're doing and you're doing things by
- 14:44Speaker 2: the book and you're following the rules, uh, The camera
- 14:47Speaker 2: will show that. And you will hear that things were
- 14:50Speaker 2: done the right way.
- 14:51Speaker 5: You don't even have to defend yourself.
- 14:52Speaker 2: When you don't have that thing that will protect you,
- 14:55Speaker 2: it's almost like, man, you have to go with whatever
- 14:58Speaker 2: the story is.
- 14:59Speaker 5: Yeah, and getting shot in the back is not great.
- 15:00Speaker 2: Because you had the ability to wear this thing. It's
- 15:05Speaker 2: your responsibility to make sure you've got it, it's on,
- 15:08Speaker 2: it's working before you do anything.
- 15:10Speaker 5: But that's the thing. If somebody is turned around, facing
- 15:13Speaker 5: away from you, you can't claim self-defense.
- 15:16Speaker 2: Well, he was running right away from me. Exactly. That's
- 15:19Speaker 2: what you yell.
- 15:21Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 15:21Speaker 2: He's running away from me.
- 15:22Speaker 3: Right in front of me was running away.
- 15:23Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 15:24Speaker 5: Well, we now know what killed Hayden Panettiere. She was
- 15:28Speaker 5: 36 years old when she died from toxic effects of
- 15:31Speaker 5: fentanyl and a bunch of other drugs, and her death
- 15:33Speaker 5: has been ruled an accident. Toxicology also found Xanax, a
- 15:37Speaker 5: muscle relaxer, and some other substances in her system. Now,
- 15:41Speaker 5: as you remember, she was found unresponsive at a house
- 15:43Speaker 5: in South Carolina last month where her boyfriend gave her
- 15:46Speaker 5: Narcan and performed CPR, but she couldn't be revived. The
- 15:50Speaker 5: DEA is investigating where the drugs came from. And I
- 15:53Speaker 5: looked up all these drugs because they have long names
- 15:56Speaker 5: and I wasn't familiar with most of them, if you
- 15:57Speaker 5: can imagine. And so many of them say, okay, this
- 16:01Speaker 5: does this. It's fine on its own. Do not take
- 16:04Speaker 5: it with the following. And, of course, a lot of
- 16:06Speaker 5: it was the list that they found in her.
- 16:08Speaker 2: Well, they all say don't take it with alcohol, for example.
- 16:10Speaker 4: Yeah, right.
- 16:10Speaker 3: But Xanax and beer is the best combo.
- 16:14Speaker 5: Thank you, Dr.
- 16:15Speaker 2: Gregg.
- 16:17Speaker 3: And I recommend it to everyone.
- 16:19Speaker 2: With a chaser? No, no, no. I wouldn't do that.
- 16:21Speaker 7: No.
- 16:22Speaker 3: Yes, I was being serious. God, relax, everybody.
- 16:25Speaker 1: God, Dr. Beck.
- 16:26Speaker 3: Chill.
- 16:27Speaker 5: Well, Giants quarterback Jackson Dart's knee injury may be a
- 16:30Speaker 5: lot worse than everybody thought. So he got smashed between
- 16:34Speaker 5: two Rams defenders Monday night. The Giants first thought it
- 16:37Speaker 5: was just a sprained MCL, but further testing showed he
- 16:39Speaker 5: could need season-ending surgery. He's getting second and third opinions
- 16:44Speaker 5: from the doctors. And in the meantime, Jameis Winston takes
- 16:47Speaker 5: over as quarterback.
- 16:48Speaker 2: You know what I'm loving, man? I'm loving all the
- 16:50Speaker 2: Caleb Williams stuff. memes, the AI videos that people are making. Oh,
- 16:56Speaker 2: it's so funny, dude. He hurt his hamstring. It looks
- 16:59Speaker 2: like he's even going to play this week. But, man,
- 17:01Speaker 2: the way he reacted, like he'd been shot. Oh, yeah.
- 17:06Speaker 2: The videos, they're so dirty with language, I can't even
- 17:09Speaker 2: play them. But, man, are they funny. Like, he's such
- 17:13Speaker 2: a little baby. Yeah.
- 17:15Speaker 5: Well, apparently it hurt real bad.
- 17:17Speaker 7: Right.
- 17:19Speaker 2: Like, oh my God, this guy, I thought you were
- 17:21Speaker 2: a football player, dude. Yeah. Was he flopping or something? No,
- 17:25Speaker 2: he's not flopping. He hurt his, like he injured his hamstring. Okay.
- 17:28Speaker 3: But not.
- 17:29Speaker 2: To any kind of serious degree, he's probably not even
- 17:32Speaker 2: going to miss a week.
- 17:33Speaker 5: Wow.
- 17:33Speaker 2: But you would have thought he snapped his ACL the
- 17:35Speaker 2: way that he reacted.
- 17:36Speaker 3: Oh, yeah.
- 17:37Speaker 5: When I saw it, I was like, oh, his season's over.
- 17:38Speaker 2: That sucks.
- 17:39Speaker 5: He was doing really well.
- 17:40Speaker 2: Because of the way he reacted on the field.
- 17:41Speaker 5: Yes.
- 17:42Speaker 2: Yeah. I guess some people just have like a super
- 17:44Speaker 2: low pain tolerance.
- 17:45Speaker 5: Well, that, but like I said, some testing shows it
- 17:48Speaker 5: could be a season-ending surgery involved.
- 17:50Speaker 2: This is the same little guy who, you know, in college, like,
- 17:55Speaker 2: crawled up into the stands and curled up in his
- 17:58Speaker 2: mommy's lap and was crying after the game.
- 18:00Speaker 5: What?
- 18:00Speaker 3: Oh, dude.
- 18:01Speaker 1: Oh, yeah.
- 18:01Speaker 2: It was a big thing. Yeah. He's such a sissy.
- 18:03Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 18:04Speaker 3: Okay.
- 18:04Speaker 2: But the memes and the stuff that are going on
- 18:06Speaker 2: is so great, man.
- 18:09Speaker 5: Well, we've got some fast food on fast food crime
- 18:11Speaker 5: in the news. So two Wendy's employees in Georgia allegedly
- 18:15Speaker 5: broke into a McDonald's worker's car while wearing their Wendy's uniforms.
- 18:19Speaker 5: They stole his backpack and they took off, but cops
- 18:21Speaker 5: found one of them hiding in a nearby grocery store.
- 18:24Speaker 5: The second guy was even easier to ID because he
- 18:27Speaker 5: had applied for a job at that McDonald's a few
- 18:29Speaker 5: weeks earlier.
- 18:29Speaker 2: Oh, he wanted to switch teams?
- 18:31Speaker 5: Yeah, exactly.
- 18:31Speaker 2: He was put in the transfer portal? Yeah. From Wendy,
- 18:35Speaker 2: he wanted to go to McDonald's?
- 18:36Speaker 5: He was onboarded?
- 18:37Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 18:38Speaker 5: And cops eventually found him back at Wendy's working behind
- 18:40Speaker 5: the counter like nothing happened. So apparently he didn't get
- 18:42Speaker 5: the job at McDonald's and decided to come back for
- 18:44Speaker 5: a little vengeance.
- 18:45Speaker 2: Dude, well, there was a story about one of the
- 18:47Speaker 2: largest Wendy's franchisees. Like they own a ton of stores
- 18:51Speaker 2: as one franchise owner owns a bunch of stores and
- 18:53Speaker 2: they filed for bankruptcy. And I forget what percentage of
- 18:56Speaker 2: Wendy's business this franchise owner represents.
- 18:59Speaker 3: Oh, no.
- 19:00Speaker 2: But it's not good.
- 19:01Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 19:01Speaker 2: I like Wendy's. Wendy's is good. I love Wendy's.
- 19:03Speaker 5: Wendy's is great.
- 19:04Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 19:05Speaker 5: And finally, listen up, Woody, specifically, because we know you
- 19:08Speaker 5: like to mail your stuff at the very last minute,
- 19:11Speaker 5: 11th hour.
- 19:12Speaker 2: I get distracted.
- 19:12Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 19:13Speaker 5: So the Postal Service is already reminding people about thinking
- 19:18Speaker 5: about shipping for Christmas. So if you want your stuff
- 19:21Speaker 5: there before Christmas, the USPS says the deadline is December
- 19:26Speaker 5: 17th for Ground Advantage and First Class Mail.
- 19:28Speaker 2: I've got plenty of time.
- 19:30Speaker 5: They know who they're dealing with. A lot of dum-dums.
- 19:32Speaker 2: A lot of woodies out there. Yeah.
- 19:34Speaker 5: December 18th for Priority Mail and December 19th for Priority
- 19:38Speaker 5: Mail Express, which you will be paying for. Shipping is
- 19:41Speaker 5: also getting more expensive with temporary holiday price increases starting
- 19:46Speaker 5: October 4th and running through January 17th.
- 19:48Speaker 8: Oh, my God.
- 19:50Speaker 5: You know, get those Christmas presents out this week.
- 19:52Speaker 2: See, when it comes to all the Christmas presents, my
- 19:54Speaker 2: wife's in charge of that.
- 19:55Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 19:55Speaker 5: Oh, I'm totally in charge of that.
- 19:57Speaker 2: I do like for, you know, my dad, my mom,
- 19:59Speaker 2: those guys. That's the birthday cards, right? Or for my wife,
- 20:03Speaker 2: an anniversary card. Wife's easy because I don't have to
- 20:07Speaker 2: send it anywhere. But man, when I got to get
- 20:09Speaker 2: a birthday card or something to a parent or something
- 20:12Speaker 2: like that, that's where I get so distracted. I'm like,
- 20:15Speaker 2: damn it.
- 20:16Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 20:16Speaker 2: Now I got to overnight it.
- 20:17Speaker 5: I do a calendar.
- 20:18Speaker 2: To get it there on time.
- 20:19Speaker 5: I do a notification like this has to be in
- 20:21Speaker 5: the mail by this day or whatever. Also, I don't
- 20:24Speaker 5: know if this is going to be weird. Sammy might
- 20:26Speaker 5: be the only one who appreciates it, but you might
- 20:28Speaker 5: even think it's weird. I already bought all of my
- 20:31Speaker 5: parents and in-laws Christmas presents.
- 20:32Speaker 1: Oh, yeah.
- 20:33Speaker 2: That's fine. Yeah, getting ahead of it. My wife will
- 20:37Speaker 2: do that. She's pretty good. I mean, because she's thinking
- 20:39Speaker 2: about Christmas, I think, 364 days a year. You have to.
- 20:42Speaker 2: You have to? You have to. It's mandatory.
- 20:46Speaker 6: Because when you come across something and it reminds you
- 20:48Speaker 6: of someone, you go, oh, this would be great for them.
- 20:49Speaker 5: Just buy it. And then that's one person checked off
- 20:51Speaker 5: the list. Easy.
- 20:53Speaker 2: I've always thought that's what I was going to do.
- 20:55Speaker 2: If I was just somewhere, my wife's getting a card
- 20:57Speaker 2: for somebody for something, I would just look at the
- 20:59Speaker 2: cards and go, oh, and take a look. If I
- 21:01Speaker 2: see the good card, just grab it.
- 21:02Speaker 1: Yes.
- 21:03Speaker 2: Have it already in the house.
- 21:04Speaker 3: Right.
- 21:04Speaker 2: You know, and then go like, oh, let me go
- 21:06Speaker 2: to the pile of cards that I thought was pretty good.
- 21:08Speaker 5: But here's the problem with me.
- 21:09Speaker 2: I will do that.
- 21:10Speaker 3: And be ready.
- 21:10Speaker 5: And I'll have the best intentions and I'll bring it
- 21:12Speaker 5: home and I'm like, look at me. And then I
- 21:14Speaker 5: absolutely 100% lose the card.
- 21:15Speaker 2: Yeah, it's like people that buy treadmills and, you know, ellipticals. Oh, no.
- 21:19Speaker 2: If I had the house, I would totally use it
- 21:21Speaker 2: all the time.
- 21:21Speaker 5: But I lose it. It's gone.
- 21:23Speaker 2: Yeah. You have the best intention. Yes. And then you
- 21:31Speaker 2: go through, oh, my mom's birthday's coming up. Just kind
- 21:33Speaker 2: of flip through the birthday cards.
- 21:34Speaker 5: That's good.
- 21:35Speaker 3: You know, just buy them when they're on sale.
- 21:37Speaker 5: Is it like accordion files? So it's like sympathy.
- 21:38Speaker 2: Yeah, just in a shoe box or whatever.
- 21:41Speaker 5: That's a great idea. And that's what's going on, Woody.
- 21:43Speaker 3: All right.
- 21:44Speaker 2: Thank you very much, Gina Grand. You got it. And now,
- 21:47Speaker 2: back to The Woody Show. Somebody texted over. We're talking
- 21:52Speaker 2: about Jackson Dart and his injury. Could likely be out
- 21:57Speaker 2: for the rest of the season.
- 21:59Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 22:00Speaker 2: Week three is just starting. I'm already out. And then
- 22:04Speaker 2: I said, man, I'm loving all the memes and videos
- 22:07Speaker 2: that people are posting on social media just clowning on
- 22:12Speaker 2: Caleb Williams, who's the quarterback for the Chicago Bears. He's
- 22:16Speaker 2: such a little bitch. Where'd it go? Oh, yeah, I'm
- 22:22Speaker 2: starting to lose all respect for Woody and Jeff G
- 22:23Speaker 2: for hating on my quarterback, Caleb. Oh, you guys are
- 22:27Speaker 2: going to. You guys are going to be so cute together.
- 22:29Speaker 2: I have the clip. Jeff G cleaned it up. I
- 22:33Speaker 2: said some of these are because the language is dirty
- 22:36Speaker 2: and everything else, but it's really funny. There was one
- 22:38Speaker 2: this guy did where it was comparing when Aaron Rodgers
- 22:41Speaker 2: snapped his Achilles. Remember when he first started with the Jets? Yeah.
- 22:46Speaker 2: They ran out the flag and the whole thing, and
- 22:47Speaker 2: then the first series was out for the rest of
- 22:50Speaker 2: the season because he got up, he walked off the field,
- 22:53Speaker 2: and he's kind of waving people off like, no, I'm good.
- 22:55Speaker 2: Caleb Williams barely, you know, like grazes his hamstring. I
- 23:00Speaker 2: don't know, whatever. Minor hamstring injury. He's going to play
- 23:02Speaker 2: this week, it looks like. But like he's wailing on
- 23:06Speaker 2: the ground as if he, you know.
- 23:08Speaker 5: Got shot.
- 23:08Speaker 2: Someone like cut his spinal cord. I guess you couldn't
- 23:12Speaker 2: react if somebody cut your, like you wouldn't be able to.
- 23:15Speaker 5: Yeah, you'd be paralyzed.
- 23:15Speaker 2: Like if he snapped his Achilles.
- 23:17Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, there you go.
- 23:18Speaker 2: I said they make much sense. Yeah, here's a. Caleb
- 23:22Speaker 2: Williams goes down with a serious looking injury. Caleb, what's wrong?
- 23:31Speaker 2: What did you hurt? I chipped my nail polish. I
- 23:38Speaker 2: think you're just on your period, you little bitch. And
- 23:44Speaker 2: the trainers walk away. F * * * this guy.
- 23:47Speaker 3: I chipped my nail polish.
- 23:49Speaker 2: He's got a different color on every finger. I chipped
- 23:53Speaker 2: my nail polish. You promised he wasn't flopping. Huh? No,
- 23:58Speaker 2: he wasn't flopping. He's hurt. There's no, like, I mean,
- 24:01Speaker 2: you can flop, I guess, if you want to try
- 24:04Speaker 2: to sell, like, oh, you got hit in the head. Yeah.
- 24:06Speaker 2: Like helmet-to-helmet contact. Hot, right, Greg? That's pretty hot. There's
- 24:12Speaker 2: some flopping in football. Not nearly as bad as soccer, basketball. Basketball.
- 24:17Speaker 3: Yeah, basketball.
- 24:18Speaker 2: Basketball is getting just as bad as soccer.
- 24:21Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 24:21Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 24:23Speaker 2: Uh, this, okay. Keep score. How many, you get a
- 24:27Speaker 2: point for each one that you could say that you do. These,
- 24:30Speaker 2: these are, uh, it's a test to see if you're
- 24:32Speaker 2: mentally strong. I'm guessing. I don't think Caleb's very, he's
- 24:37Speaker 2: certainly not.
- 24:38Speaker 3: I mean, physically. Yes.
- 24:39Speaker 2: I mean, the guy's in shape. Can't take away. And he's,
- 24:41Speaker 2: and look, Caleb Williams is a good football player. I'm
- 24:44Speaker 2: not trying to take that away, but dude, he seems
- 24:46Speaker 2: to be very dramatic. Well, yeah. I mean, I'm, To
- 24:49Speaker 2: be fair, if I'm on a football field, if somebody
- 24:52Speaker 2: so much put a finger on me, I'd probably flail.
- 24:55Speaker 2: And I hated when he crawled up into the stands
- 24:58Speaker 2: and curled up in his mom's lap and cried. That
- 25:01Speaker 2: I got to see. Here's the thing. I was embarrassed
- 25:04Speaker 2: and like, oh, God, for him.
- 25:06Speaker 5: Yeah. Secondhand embarrassment.
- 25:08Speaker 2: Like when people, they can't help.
- 25:09Speaker 3: Oh, God.
- 25:11Speaker 5: And when did he do that?
- 25:12Speaker 2: Oh, his last game at USC.
- 25:14Speaker 5: Mommy.
- 25:15Speaker 9: Oh, babe.
- 25:16Speaker 7: Mommy.
- 25:16Speaker 5: So an adult.
- 25:17Speaker 2: Yeah, an adult after the bowl game. It was very,
- 25:20Speaker 2: very public.
- 25:21Speaker 3: Oh, yeah.
- 25:21Speaker 2: They're like, dude, what are you doing, man?
- 25:24Speaker 5: Oh, there it is. Oh, babe. I put Caleb Williams'
- 25:27Speaker 5: mom's lap.
- 25:29Speaker 2: Comes right up. Yep.
- 25:30Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 25:30Speaker 2: All right. So are you mentally strong? Give yourself a
- 25:34Speaker 2: point for any of these things.
- 25:35Speaker 5: Okay.
- 25:36Speaker 2: You cut people off without warning. Is that like in
- 25:40Speaker 2: the car?
- 25:40Speaker 5: That makes you strong?
- 25:41Speaker 2: But I guess.
- 25:42Speaker 5: Yeah, I guess it's hard.
- 25:43Speaker 2: You cut people off without warning. Oh, never mind. No contact.
- 25:47Speaker 2: I'm reading it right. Yeah, contact. Yeah.
- 25:50Speaker 3: Oh, you just pick up the phone and call.
- 25:54Speaker 2: When Gina had that beef with her friend, the one
- 25:57Speaker 2: that was like all drama.
- 25:58Speaker 1: Yes.
- 25:59Speaker 2: It's not that you hadn't had a conversation with this person.
- 26:01Speaker 5: No.
- 26:01Speaker 2: You would have a conversation with this person... And then
- 26:04Speaker 2: you're like, you know what? And then made the, so
- 26:06Speaker 2: it wasn't like it came out of nowhere.
- 26:08Speaker 1: Right.
- 26:08Speaker 2: You're okay with ghosting them. There you go.
- 26:11Speaker 5: Very okay.
- 26:12Speaker 7: Idiot.
- 26:14Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 26:14Speaker 2: So you cut people off without any warning. You never
- 26:16Speaker 2: have a conversation. You just ghost.
- 26:17Speaker 3: Just drop them.
- 26:18Speaker 2: Yeah. I don't do that. I don't do that.
- 26:21Speaker 3: I can't do that.
- 26:23Speaker 2: You forgive, but never reconnect.
- 26:26Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 26:27Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 26:28Speaker 8: Probably.
- 26:29Speaker 2: I'm trying. I'm trying to get better at that.
- 26:32Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 26:33Speaker 7: Right.
- 26:34Speaker 2: I'm trying to let things go. Not necessarily want to reconnect.
- 26:40Speaker 2: I think like I've always done. I've always been against people.
- 26:45Speaker 2: The idea of you break up somebody and get back together. Right.
- 26:49Speaker 5: You've never done that?
- 26:50Speaker 2: What's that?
- 26:51Speaker 5: You've never done that?
- 26:51Speaker 2: No. Wow. That's. Because what happens you you break up
- 26:56Speaker 2: and then all you can do is think about oh
- 26:58Speaker 2: all the good things you forget immediately It's like amnesia Right. Yeah,
- 27:01Speaker 2: you forget all the reasons got you the place that
- 27:03Speaker 2: you broke up in the first place or whatever happened
- 27:05Speaker 2: and then I can write because whatever you're lonely you're
- 27:07Speaker 2: you know, you You like the idea of the relationship
- 27:11Speaker 2: but not necessarily the person you were in the relationship.
- 27:13Speaker 5: With there's more convenient Yeah.
- 27:15Speaker 2: But like when somebody here's the thing if somebody screws
- 27:17Speaker 2: you over or whatever, you know burns you in some
- 27:21Speaker 2: way shape or form and Like, you don't ever go
- 27:24Speaker 2: back on that relationship, whether it's a romantic relationship, a
- 27:28Speaker 2: business or personal friendship.
- 27:31Speaker 3: You can't forget.
- 27:32Speaker 2: A snake only sheds its skin to become a bigger snake.
- 27:36Speaker 5: Ooh, I like that.
- 27:38Speaker 3: Right?
- 27:39Speaker 5: Should have told 22-year-old Gina that. Got back together a
- 27:42Speaker 5: billion times.
- 27:42Speaker 2: Yeah, so don't do that. But I am trying to
- 27:44Speaker 2: get better at, like, all right, things happen or whatever,
- 27:48Speaker 2: move on.
- 27:48Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 27:49Speaker 2: Yeah. You don't post your every move. I don't do that.
- 27:54Speaker 3: Definitely not.
- 27:56Speaker 2: You're okay walking alone.
- 27:58Speaker 1: Yes.
- 27:59Speaker 3: Walking alone?
- 28:00Speaker 2: Sure. Well, I don't think necessarily literally, Greg. I think
- 28:04Speaker 2: like just through life, like you're independent. Like you don't
- 28:06Speaker 2: have to have somebody. You don't always have to be
- 28:09Speaker 2: in a relationship. You don't have to.
- 28:10Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 28:12Speaker 2: You say no without guilt.
- 28:13Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 28:14Speaker 5: I have a tough time with that. I'm working on it.
- 28:17Speaker 2: I used to be awful at that. And I've gotten
- 28:20Speaker 2: good at that. That's been a work in progress thing.
- 28:22Speaker 5: When they say no is a full sentence. I'm like,
- 28:24Speaker 5: is it though?
- 28:26Speaker 2: I did see a video recently. It was like a
- 28:28Speaker 2: guy's like, hey, man, ever since I turned 50. Like,
- 28:32Speaker 2: I leave when I'm ready to go. I go to
- 28:33Speaker 2: a party or I do this. I leave when I'm
- 28:36Speaker 2: ready to go. I will say no without feeling guilty
- 28:39Speaker 2: about it. If somebody asked me something, to do something
- 28:42Speaker 2: or for something, I used to feel guilty. And maybe
- 28:46Speaker 2: that's what it is. Maybe that just comes with time
- 28:47Speaker 2: and age. I think so.
- 28:49Speaker 3: Definitely with age.
- 28:50Speaker 2: You keep peace overproving. No.
- 28:53Speaker 3: Say that one again.
- 28:54Speaker 2: You keep peace overproving.
- 28:57Speaker 5: Like you'd rather be happy than be right.
- 28:59Speaker 2: Yeah. Nope. In an argument or whatever.
- 29:03Speaker 5: But I think you do get to an age, and
- 29:05Speaker 5: we've talked about this before, like if someone's just super
- 29:07Speaker 5: dumb and they won't stop arguing, you're like, you know what?
- 29:10Speaker 5: You're right.
- 29:10Speaker 2: Gotta go.
- 29:11Speaker 5: You know, so I'll do that for sure.
- 29:14Speaker 2: Who was that? Oh, Keanu Reeves.
- 29:19Speaker 5: Yeah, I do that now as I get older. I'm like,
- 29:21Speaker 5: sounds good, buddy.
- 29:21Speaker 3: Bye.
- 29:22Speaker 2: He said, someone can tell you two plus two is six.
- 29:25Speaker 2: You go, yep, you're right.
- 29:26Speaker 5: Math checks out.
- 29:27Speaker 2: Gotta go. I gave myself a point for that because
- 29:29Speaker 2: I just don't really care that much.
- 29:31Speaker 5: Yeah, if it's a random person, I don't care. I
- 29:33Speaker 5: can let it go.
- 29:34Speaker 6: But if it's someone in my life, no, no.
- 29:35Speaker 5: We're going over this.
- 29:36Speaker 2: I'm concerned. Right.
- 29:38Speaker 3: I'm with you on that.
- 29:39Speaker 2: Wait, menace. you say you keep peace over proving over
- 29:42Speaker 2: proving somebody wrong yeah yeah you're the first guy to
- 29:46Speaker 2: break out receipts yeah.
- 29:48Speaker 9: But I mean it's not every single argument you know
- 29:52Speaker 9: like I think the person that that wouldn't take a
- 29:55Speaker 9: point is somebody that does that every single time there's
- 29:58Speaker 9: a situation like that yeah.
- 30:00Speaker 2: You adjust but never shrink. I don't know what that means.
- 30:04Speaker 5: Like, well, you don't try to become what somebody else needs,
- 30:08Speaker 5: but you'll make a little bit of an adjustment. Is
- 30:10Speaker 5: that what that means?
- 30:11Speaker 2: I don't know what that means. Let's skip that one.
- 30:12Speaker 2: You don't overreact anymore. Nope, I sure do. Well, I'm
- 30:18Speaker 2: the king of sending an email in the moment of,
- 30:22Speaker 2: you know, heat or whatever. The heat of the moment,
- 30:24Speaker 2: whatever they call that. Like that's, you know, because it's fresh.
- 30:29Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 30:29Speaker 2: That's when you're at your best.
- 30:30Speaker 5: That's true.
- 30:32Speaker 2: When you're angry. That's when you send your best emails. Yeah, right.
- 30:35Speaker 2: Or you fire off your best text message.
- 30:37Speaker 3: If you let it breathe, you don't care anymore.
- 30:39Speaker 2: In the heat of the moment. That's the best one.
- 30:41Speaker 5: Gotta wait till the next day.
- 30:43Speaker 2: You heal privately.
- 30:44Speaker 5: I'll let you know what's going on.
- 30:46Speaker 2: I'd say yes. Gosh, my stomach hurts. You no longer
- 30:50Speaker 2: fear silence. Never did. Love it. Yeah, I love it too. Silence.
- 30:53Speaker 3: Well, you like the silent treatment as well.
- 30:55Speaker 2: Oh, I love the silent treatment. I love a quiet house.
- 30:58Speaker 2: Buddy of mine talked to him yesterday. His wife's out
- 31:00Speaker 2: of town for the next week, and you would think
- 31:02Speaker 2: he won the lottery. Oh, speak. I thought of you.
- 31:05Speaker 2: His kids are both off at college. His wife's going
- 31:07Speaker 2: out of town with some friends for a week, and
- 31:08Speaker 2: he's like, oh, he had one business dinner to hit
- 31:11Speaker 2: last night. He was going to that business dinner. And
- 31:14Speaker 2: then after that, it's a week of his own time.
- 31:17Speaker 2: He has nothing on the schedule. He intentionally left it blank.
- 31:21Speaker 2: He's going to go to work. And when work's over,
- 31:23Speaker 2: he's going right home. That's it. And he's going to
- 31:26Speaker 2: be there by himself.
- 31:28Speaker 5: Speaking of the silent treatment, I was going to send
- 31:30Speaker 5: this to you, but I think I was inundating most
- 31:32Speaker 5: of you too much lately. But this is so me.
- 31:35Speaker 5: When it was a couple at Costco and says, when
- 31:37Speaker 5: she's mad at you, it's the best at Costco because
- 31:39Speaker 5: all of a sudden she has superhuman strength. Like she's
- 31:41Speaker 5: lifting the dog food by herself and putting it in.
- 31:43Speaker 5: She becomes super independent. She doesn't talk to you. It's
- 31:46Speaker 5: the best time to go to Costco is when she's
- 31:47Speaker 5: not speaking to you.
- 31:49Speaker 2: Right?
- 31:50Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 31:50Speaker 5: She lifts everything herself. She doesn't ask any follow-up questions.
- 31:53Speaker 2: There's a quarter, at least a quarter of the store
- 31:55Speaker 2: I can skip. Yeah. I don't have to walk through it.
- 31:57Speaker 3: During a silent treatment?
- 31:58Speaker 2: Yeah. If I'm at Costco by myself without my wife,
- 32:01Speaker 2: there's a whole quarter of the store. I don't even
- 32:03Speaker 2: have to walk. I don't need to walk through any
- 32:05Speaker 2: of the clothing. Got to snake the entire store. I
- 32:06Speaker 2: don't need to walk through any of like where the
- 32:08Speaker 2: makeups and lotions.
- 32:10Speaker 1: Oh, yeah.
- 32:10Speaker 2: And all that kind of crap.
- 32:13Speaker 5: They have great clothes. I always get my husband all
- 32:16Speaker 5: his stuff there.
- 32:17Speaker 3: Oh, I can be in and out of a store
- 32:18Speaker 3: in like two and a half minutes.
- 32:19Speaker 5: In Costco? That's crazy.
- 32:21Speaker 3: I mean, I'm like with Woody.
- 32:22Speaker 2: You go there with purpose.
- 32:23Speaker 3: You know what you need.
- 32:24Speaker 2: You know where it is.
- 32:25Speaker 5: For me, it's like a little like Staycation.
- 32:27Speaker 3: I'm not going to buy a tub of something I
- 32:30Speaker 3: don't need.
- 32:30Speaker 2: Grab some samples. I can go to Costco for a
- 32:33Speaker 2: specific purpose and get out of there only getting that thing.
- 32:36Speaker 5: That's crazy.
- 32:37Speaker 2: I enjoy going to Costco knowing I'm going there for
- 32:40Speaker 2: a few specific things, but.
- 32:41Speaker 5: You're going to let the items speak to you.
- 32:43Speaker 2: I do walk the aisles. I'll walk through this entire
- 32:47Speaker 2: section of stuff just to see what they've got. I'm
- 32:49Speaker 2: perusing the meat section. What kind of meats are on sale?
- 32:53Speaker 5: The only section I'll skip because I don't get it
- 32:54Speaker 5: is the carb.
- 32:56Speaker 11: Liquids car liquids like oil windshield washer fluid yeah yeah
- 33:04Speaker 11: car liquids the.
- 33:07Speaker 2: Car sauce 877-44-WOODY you can send us a text over
- 33:11Speaker 2: to 22987 we'll take a break we'll come back more
- 33:13Speaker 2: woody show next hang on.
- 33:15Speaker 12: Here we go okay one two three one the woody
- 33:21Speaker 12: show LA's Alternative Rock.
- 33:24Speaker 5: 0987.
- 33:24Speaker 2: There was this.
- 33:27Speaker 5: Model, this legit fitness model that I worked with, and
- 33:31Speaker 5: he was super hot, and so I thought it would
- 33:34Speaker 5: be the ultimate power move to bang him, and I did.
- 33:37Speaker 5: And then instead of him telling everyone, I told everyone,
- 33:41Speaker 5: because I thought that would make me look cool, and
- 33:43Speaker 5: it caused a ton of problems, and then he got fired.
- 33:45Speaker 1: The Woody Show.
- 33:46Speaker 2: How about some music news, you guys?
- 33:50Speaker 8: Ooh.
- 33:50Speaker 7: Okay.
- 33:51Speaker 2: Yeah. Taylor Swift is releasing a new song on Friday
- 33:54Speaker 2: called Patient Zero.
- 33:56Speaker 3: Like I didn't know that.
- 33:57Speaker 2: Don't have to tell Greg. Dude, she is not dumb.
- 34:03Speaker 11: She knows.
- 34:04Speaker 3: She does.
- 34:05Speaker 2: She does. She is selling. three different versions on CD.
- 34:12Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 34:13Speaker 2: So what was it, Jeff? You were running down some
- 34:16Speaker 2: of the numbers for me.
- 34:16Speaker 12: Yeah, artists get about $ 1 to.
- 34:19Speaker 2: $ 2 per CD, right? That's their take-home money. Yeah, is
- 34:23Speaker 2: that out of like a $ 20 CD? Yeah, usually like
- 34:26Speaker 2: anywhere between $ 15 and $ 20. Because these are only like
- 34:29Speaker 2: $ 3 to $ 5 or something like that.
- 34:31Speaker 12: Yeah, but that's still significant money compared to streaming because
- 34:35Speaker 12: streaming is like, Point zero, zero, zero, zero, zero, three.
- 34:40Speaker 1: Right?
- 34:40Speaker 2: A thousand. Yeah. She's going to cash out, man. I
- 34:44Speaker 2: saw some video with Snoop Dogg and he was talking
- 34:47Speaker 2: about how a billion streams. equaled, I forget what it was,
- 34:50Speaker 2: $ 17, 000 or something. For a billion.
- 34:52Speaker 5: That math doesn't matter.
- 34:54Speaker 2: Something like that. Well, pull up the Snoop Dogg thing.
- 34:56Speaker 5: That's what I'm saying. That's incredibly unfair.
- 34:58Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 34:59Speaker 2: Anyway, so she's selling three different versions on CD on
- 35:02Speaker 2: her website. There's a regular version, Greg, an acoustic version,
- 35:06Speaker 2: and a piano version. Pre-ordered that. So the fans get
- 35:09Speaker 2: to buy the same song three times.
- 35:11Speaker 5: They'll do it, too, because in the past, remember, she
- 35:13Speaker 5: re-recorded all of her songs so she could sell them.
- 35:16Speaker 5: And then... I think she did that with another album
- 35:17Speaker 5: where there were different album covers and you had to
- 35:20Speaker 5: get them all.
- 35:20Speaker 2: She did it with vinyl. And Woody, you love piano.
- 35:23Speaker 2: You would get the piano version. I get the re-recording,
- 35:26Speaker 2: you know, because somebody else owned the original.
- 35:28Speaker 3: Right.
- 35:29Speaker 2: That I get. That's cool petty stuff.
- 35:31Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 35:32Speaker 2: And not even petty because, I mean, you know, there's
- 35:34Speaker 2: a ton of money in that. It's your art. It's
- 35:36Speaker 2: your stuff.
- 35:38Speaker 5: And then it's forcing you to buy all of these.
- 35:40Speaker 2: Anyway. Anyway. Cares about Taylor Swift. How about this? We're
- 35:43Speaker 2: getting a Wendy's album, you guys. What?
- 35:46Speaker 7: What?
- 35:47Speaker 2: Everybody's been waiting around for the My Chemical Romance, their
- 35:49Speaker 2: fifth album. Everybody's like, you know, waiting for that. We're
- 35:51Speaker 2: getting a Wendy's album before new My Chemical Romance. Wow.
- 35:54Speaker 2: Talk to me about this. The fast food chain. They've
- 35:57Speaker 2: got an emo album.
- 35:58Speaker 3: Oh, rip.
- 35:59Speaker 2: Rip.
- 36:00Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 36:00Speaker 2: So good. Oh, my God. Yeah. So they went on
- 36:04Speaker 2: social and the Wendy's logo with side bangs swooping over
- 36:09Speaker 2: one of her eyes. I saw that online. I thought
- 36:12Speaker 2: people were just playing around. No, man. So they posted
- 36:15Speaker 2: this six song track list. And you want to hear
- 36:18Speaker 2: some of the songs?
- 36:18Speaker 5: More than anything.
- 36:19Speaker 2: Okay. So this is from the Wendy's emo album. It's
- 36:22Speaker 2: called She Said She Didn't Want Fries. Parenthetically, she lied.
- 36:40Speaker 2: What'd she do? Did she dip them in your frosting?
- 36:44Speaker 2: Or did she get her own frosting? That's called She
- 36:49Speaker 2: Said She Didn't Want Fries, She Lied. This next one
- 36:52Speaker 2: from the new Wendy's album is called Salt in the Wound.
- 36:54Speaker 2: Salt in the Wound. Something tells me this is not
- 37:03Speaker 2: guaranteed human.
- 37:04Speaker 5: Yeah, I was wondering the same thing.
- 37:07Speaker 2: It has that AI sound.
- 37:08Speaker 5: Nope.
- 37:08Speaker 2: I looked it up.
- 37:09Speaker 5: It said the vocals are real.
- 37:10Speaker 2: Is that right?
- 37:11Speaker 12: They're actually legit bands that made them.
- 37:13Speaker 2: There's the track list on the paper.
- 37:15Speaker 5: I just didn't know if they were real people or not.
- 37:18Speaker 2: They're real bands.
- 37:19Speaker 9: My other question is, was this completely designed for Tyler?
- 37:23Speaker 2: Fast food.
- 37:24Speaker 1: Emo.
- 37:25Speaker 2: Dude, Tyler loves a good emo night. I got a
- 37:28Speaker 2: good Tyler story here in a second.
- 37:30Speaker 3: Okay.
- 37:30Speaker 2: Yeah, that first one, she says you want my fries.
- 37:33Speaker 2: That was from the band Memphis May Fire.
- 37:35Speaker 3: Okay.
- 37:36Speaker 2: And then Salt in the Wound is by, I guess
- 37:40Speaker 2: it's an artist, but Wynonna Fighter.
- 37:42Speaker 5: All right.
- 37:43Speaker 2: So not a Foo Fighter. Oh, that's like a- Fighter.
- 37:47Speaker 5: It's like a roller derby name.
- 37:49Speaker 2: From the new Wendy's Emo album. This is a song
- 37:52Speaker 2: by Silverstein called I Miss the Sunroom. I miss the sunroom.
- 37:56Speaker 2: Because remember Wendy's used to have those sunrooms.
- 37:59Speaker 4: Yes!
- 37:59Speaker 5: The solarium in the room.
- 38:01Speaker 2: It was so upscale. Yeah, with like red brick and
- 38:03Speaker 2: a lot of glass.
- 38:04Speaker 5: With the curveball.
- 38:06Speaker 7: Ceiling.
- 38:06Speaker 5: That's awesome.
- 38:07Speaker 2: Our laughter filled it.
- 38:08Speaker 5: I love it.
- 38:10Speaker 2: That was the.
- 38:13Speaker 5: Soundtrack to the burgers that we shared.
- 38:18Speaker 2: Pretty funny.
- 38:18Speaker 5: This is hilarious.
- 38:19Speaker 2: Next one. Here, we'll get through the last couple of these.
- 38:23Speaker 2: This one's called The Best Combo Meal on the Worst
- 38:26Speaker 2: Night of My Life by the band Bless the Fall.
- 38:40Speaker 2: This could have all been the same band.
- 38:42Speaker 1: Yeah, pretty much. For sure.
- 38:43Speaker 2: Because the vocals sound exactly the same. I mean, a
- 38:45Speaker 2: lot of those bands sound the same.
- 38:47Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 38:48Speaker 2: Gina, do you think your kid would.
- 38:49Speaker 3: Be into this?
- 38:50Speaker 5: I think he'd think it was hilarious.
- 38:51Speaker 2: It's funny, right? Yeah, and it's good. I have Warped
- 38:55Speaker 2: Tour right now. Yeah, seriously. The band is State Champs.
- 38:57Speaker 2: It's from the new Wendy's Emo album, a song called
- 39:00Speaker 2: It's Not a Phase, It's a Ten Piece. This is
- 39:08Speaker 2: my favorite.
- 39:11Speaker 13: I think they're only doing one version. I don't think
- 39:25Speaker 13: you get to buy it three times like you do
- 39:27Speaker 13: with the Taylor Swift.
- 39:28Speaker 2: Here, one more.
- 39:29Speaker 1: This is.
- 39:30Speaker 2: from the band Holy Wars. It can be found on
- 39:33Speaker 2: the new Wendy's Emo album. It's called My Frosty's Funeral.
- 39:37Speaker 2: Here we go. There you go.
- 39:54Speaker 3: I can so relate to that sentiment.
- 39:57Speaker 2: That last sip. That's the new Wendy's Emo album. That's funny.
- 40:03Speaker 2: Available now. You can check it out.
- 40:06Speaker 5: I don't hate it.
- 40:07Speaker 2: Dude, I stopped in the convenience store this morning. As
- 40:10Speaker 2: I always do.
- 40:10Speaker 3: Yes.
- 40:11Speaker 2: And I see the same guy behind the counter every
- 40:15Speaker 2: single day. Yeah.
- 40:16Speaker 5: Hey, man, what's up?
- 40:16Speaker 2: You know, small talk stuff. Today he goes, hey, man.
- 40:22Speaker 2: He goes, I just saw you online. I go, you did?
- 40:25Speaker 2: He goes, yeah. I was killing some time. I was
- 40:28Speaker 2: on Instagram. And you popped up. I go, I know
- 40:32Speaker 2: that dude. He comes in all the time. I go, oh, cool.
- 40:36Speaker 5: He goes, yeah.
- 40:37Speaker 2: He goes, you host a radio show like The Breakfast Club. Yeah.
- 40:42Speaker 2: He goes, dude, that guy's selling the lemonade. It was
- 40:48Speaker 2: all about it. Yeah, nice. He's like, I thought he
- 40:50Speaker 2: was going to get his ass kicked. Those guys are serious.
- 40:53Speaker 2: I guess he didn't hang in there long enough to
- 40:54Speaker 2: know that those are Jeff G's friends.
- 40:58Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 40:59Speaker 2: That was a great bit. It lives on, Tyler. Yeah.
- 41:03Speaker 2: I guess Tyler. He's a legend.
- 41:05Speaker 5: Forever and ever.
- 41:06Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 41:06Speaker 2: He's got some other gig he's doing now, too. and
- 41:11Speaker 2: where he's like selling cards, like trading cards. Oh, okay.
- 41:15Speaker 2: But it's this thing, it's like online, right? Like it
- 41:18Speaker 2: streams or something?
- 41:19Speaker 8: Yeah, so I'm working with a specific company that basically
- 41:24Speaker 8: sells trading cards.
- 41:25Speaker 3: Plug it.
- 41:25Speaker 8: Yeah, so I'm working for this company called Mama Breaks. Basically,
- 41:29Speaker 8: this is how it works. So let's say you have
- 41:31Speaker 8: a box of like football cards, right? You really like
- 41:33Speaker 8: the Bears. So you see like, hey, I can sell
- 41:36Speaker 8: you all the Bears cards in here before we even
- 41:38Speaker 8: open the box. You spend a certain amount of money.
- 41:41Speaker 8: Doesn't matter if it's a rare card. Doesn't matter if
- 41:43Speaker 8: it's base. Doesn't matter an autograph. If it's a bears card,
- 41:45Speaker 8: you automatically get it. So that's, that's what we do
- 41:48Speaker 8: over there. And I've been having a lot of fun
- 41:49Speaker 8: doing it.
- 41:50Speaker 2: And you got to know like what, you know, what's
- 41:52Speaker 2: possibly in that box. Yeah. Like a so-and-so rookie card
- 41:55Speaker 2: kind of thing, like a, or a one-of-one type of situation.
- 41:58Speaker 2: Now here's the funny thing. So Tyler's on this stream
- 42:00Speaker 2: and he's, you know, He's pimping these cards and stuff
- 42:03Speaker 2: like that. And people are like, hey, man, you're the
- 42:05Speaker 2: adult lemonade stand guy. He's getting recognized as he's selling
- 42:11Speaker 2: these cards as the adult lemonade stand dude.
- 42:14Speaker 8: I've been doing it on Fanatics Live. And I told
- 42:17Speaker 8: people like, hey, look, if you want to make a
- 42:18Speaker 8: specific deal with me, go to my Instagram, like shoot
- 42:22Speaker 8: me a DM. So they're looking through my Instagram and
- 42:24Speaker 8: they're like. yo, what was up with that lemonade stand? Like,
- 42:26Speaker 8: that dude was going to kick your ass.
- 42:28Speaker 2: See, I just am quite the salesman. I'm doing cards.
- 42:30Speaker 2: I'm selling lemonade. Yeah.
- 42:32Speaker 9: Just to help him out a little bit, what you
- 42:34Speaker 9: do is you download the Fanatics Live app, right?
- 42:37Speaker 2: And then you search Mama Breaks. Yep. And you'll see
- 42:40Speaker 2: Tyler in there under shows. Yep. And I stream on
- 42:43Speaker 2: the weekends. That's pretty fun. Yeah.
- 42:45Speaker 5: There you go.
- 42:46Speaker 2: We'll watch the hell out of that. It is pretty entertaining.
- 42:49Speaker 5: Can I look up one now?
- 42:50Speaker 2: Yeah, you can watch reruns. You can go back and
- 42:52Speaker 2: watch our previous shows. Okay, cool. One thing about that job, man,
- 42:55Speaker 2: I don't think you're going to meet a lot of
- 42:56Speaker 2: chicks in that line of work. That seems to be
- 42:58Speaker 2: mostly dudes who would be into cards and card trading
- 43:01Speaker 2: and stuff. No, it's run by a woman that's not
- 43:03Speaker 2: bad looking. Yeah. Run by a woman. I would imagine
- 43:07Speaker 2: a lot of the people who are streaming it and
- 43:10Speaker 2: watching it, I would think that would be mostly dudes, right?
- 43:14Speaker 8: I would say so far right now, it's probably 75,
- 43:16Speaker 8: 25 dudes. Mostly dudes, but there's some chicks in there.
- 43:19Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 43:20Speaker 3: All right.
- 43:20Speaker 2: Well, hey, good luck, man. Appreciate it.
- 43:22Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 43:23Speaker 2: And next time, I'm working with it, plug it.
- 43:25Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 43:25Speaker 2: You know what I mean? Yeah.
- 43:27Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 43:27Speaker 2: We're working on that vocal part of the salesmanship.
- 43:30Speaker 3: Okay. The Woody Show.
- 43:35Speaker 2: Coming up tomorrow, Menace is going to be out once again.
- 43:38Speaker 6: Yes.
- 43:38Speaker 7: At.
- 43:40Speaker 2: Living Spaces in the Kooks. Rancho Cucamonga. Five to seven.
- 43:45Speaker 2: And they're going to be giving away a bunch of
- 43:47Speaker 2: gift cards while he's there.
- 43:49Speaker 9: Thousands of dollars worth of gift cards. Like the biggest
- 43:51Speaker 9: I've ever done.
- 43:52Speaker 2: Living Spaces grand reopening in the Kooks on Foothill Boulevard. Menace,
- 43:58Speaker 2: what were you telling me the other day about something
- 44:00Speaker 2: about the 909?
- 44:01Speaker 9: Yeah, so I've been wanting to do some stuff with
- 44:04Speaker 9: Living Spaces for years, right? And then there was an
- 44:07Speaker 9: ex-employee who said, We don't have listeners.
- 44:11Speaker 2: Our employee? Doesn't work here anymore. Yeah. Said, we don't
- 44:16Speaker 2: have listeners that have families or live in Rancho Cucamonga.
- 44:20Speaker 2: Excuse me? So I've never been able to do it.
- 44:23Speaker 2: So please come out and prove them wrong. Really? Yeah. Nobody.
- 44:27Speaker 2: I always make the argument.
- 44:28Speaker 9: I go, well, I mean, maybe Disney has it wrong
- 44:31Speaker 9: then for giving us a park to do events.
- 44:34Speaker 2: Well, I'm just looking at the text now. There's a
- 44:36Speaker 2: bunch of stuff in here from the 909.
- 44:37Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 44:38Speaker 2: I mean, random comm is about random things. But it's
- 44:41Speaker 2: so funny. Not necessarily about living spaces.
- 44:43Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 44:43Speaker 9: Like people make a story, you know, about the show
- 44:48Speaker 9: like all the time and say who we are. And
- 44:50Speaker 9: it's so incorrect.
- 44:52Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 44:52Speaker 2: You know? So, um, I'm very happy to be able
- 44:55Speaker 2: to do this. So do you remember, it was years ago,
- 44:59Speaker 2: there was, uh, another station and they were trying to get,
- 45:04Speaker 2: there was a, uh, a client that was trying to,
- 45:07Speaker 2: you know, figure out where they're going to spend their
- 45:08Speaker 2: advertising dollars. And they were counter positioning us and this
- 45:16Speaker 2: station saying that people listen to this show, people listen
- 45:18Speaker 2: to this radio station, uh, don't buy mattresses. Yeah. I'm like, well,
- 45:25Speaker 2: wait a minute. Where is that? How is that?
- 45:28Speaker 3: It's very specific.
- 45:29Speaker 5: This is a bed of needles.
- 45:30Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 45:31Speaker 2: And so that was like one of their ways to,
- 45:32Speaker 2: and then they convinced this company's like advertising agency to,
- 45:37Speaker 2: that that was the case.
- 45:38Speaker 5: That's hilarious.
- 45:40Speaker 3: We did our research.
- 45:40Speaker 2: So we asked the question on the air, what do
- 45:43Speaker 2: you sleep on? It's not a mattress. Maybe it is
- 45:47Speaker 2: a mattress. Maybe we'll be surprised. What do you sleep
- 45:51Speaker 2: on and where did you get it? Did you buy it?
- 45:54Speaker 2: Did you find it on a curb in Van Nuys?
- 45:56Speaker 2: There's a lot of mattresses and couches on the curb
- 45:59Speaker 2: in Van Nuys.
- 45:59Speaker 3: All for free.
- 46:01Speaker 2: Where did you get it? And it turns out that
- 46:04Speaker 2: a number of our listeners... Sleep on mattresses. Shut up.
- 46:08Speaker 2: And they had bought them from retail stores, whether it
- 46:10Speaker 2: was like, you know, sit and sleep or, you know,
- 46:12Speaker 2: and there's other places, right? Yeah. And so we ended
- 46:15Speaker 2: up getting that business and then we started doing events.
- 46:18Speaker 2: It was sit and sleep. And Larry, Larry was cool, man.
- 46:20Speaker 2: I haven't talked to him in a while, but... Yeah,
- 46:23Speaker 2: we end up doing these events and places were packed
- 46:27Speaker 2: with people. It turns out that they did use mattresses.
- 46:31Speaker 2: People have this weird idea about what the audience is
- 46:34Speaker 2: and what they think everybody's, you know, purple hair and
- 46:37Speaker 2: living at their parents' house and just smoking weed all day. And,
- 46:41Speaker 2: you know. Yeah, it's shocking, man. It's really weird. And
- 46:44Speaker 2: I think it's just, I know that Coke talks a
- 46:48Speaker 2: lot of, well, more Pepsi talking smack on Coke.
- 46:50Speaker 9: Right.
- 46:50Speaker 2: Because Coke is the bigger brand.
- 46:52Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 46:52Speaker 2: Typically the way that works. But it's, you know, a strategy,
- 46:57Speaker 2: I guess, if you're trying to get the sale. Yeah.
- 47:02Speaker 2: You're trying to get the money over somebody else. Well,
- 47:05Speaker 2: their audience, that... They don't sleep. People listening to Alt 98.7,
- 47:09Speaker 2: they don't sleep on mattresses. And they don't have furniture either.
- 47:14Speaker 2: It's really weird. Empty houses. Like the signal from the
- 47:16Speaker 2: radio station, like the broadcast tower, it goes out like
- 47:20Speaker 2: if you drop a pebble into a still lake. And
- 47:24Speaker 2: the rings, they go out. It completely misses the 909.
- 47:29Speaker 2: It's so weird. In a weird angle. It covers that area,
- 47:33Speaker 2: but for whatever reason, it's the 909. Can't get there.
- 47:36Speaker 2: Their radios don't tune 98.7. They can't or won't listen
- 47:42Speaker 2: to the Woody show. It's pretty funny. That's hilarious. And
- 47:44Speaker 2: every time I'm in living spaces, I always run into listeners. Yeah. Thursday,
- 47:49Speaker 2: 5 to 7 p.m. Yeah, go see Menace. All the
- 47:51Speaker 2: event details on our website. Just go to thewoodyshow.com, click
- 47:55Speaker 2: on event. So you guys have seen that dude on...
- 48:04Speaker 2: social media, who goes to all the Chinese buffets until
- 48:08Speaker 2: he gets food poisoning.
- 48:09Speaker 5: Yeah, he's the best.
- 48:09Speaker 3: On your recommendation, yes.
- 48:11Speaker 2: Mullet review.
- 48:12Speaker 5: Hot blonde.
- 48:13Speaker 2: Hot blonde walks into an Asian buffet.
- 48:15Speaker 5: Every caption is hot blonde goes to dot dot dot.
- 48:19Speaker 2: That's so funny, man. Anyway, he's going to be on
- 48:22Speaker 2: the show.
- 48:23Speaker 5: Yes! I'm so excited.
- 48:25Speaker 2: I love that account, man. It's all over the internet. Yeah,
- 48:27Speaker 2: Jeff's been chatting with him and going back and forth.
- 48:31Speaker 2: He says he's a really cool guy.
- 48:32Speaker 5: Oh, I'm sure he is.
- 48:33Speaker 2: Yeah, he's from Ohio. I was wondering where he's from.
- 48:35Speaker 2: I was trying to take a guess.
- 48:36Speaker 5: Yeah, because it's always places in Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio.
- 48:40Speaker 2: In that general area. I guess he's won a mullet
- 48:44Speaker 2: contest before.
- 48:45Speaker 5: I'm not surprised. It is a luxurious Maine.
- 48:48Speaker 2: Man, I was mentioning the menace the other day. I'm like,
- 48:51Speaker 2: just talk about stumbling into something that just catches fire
- 48:55Speaker 2: like that. I'm sure he just did it, and we'll
- 48:57Speaker 2: find out when we talk to him, but I'm sure
- 48:59Speaker 2: he just did it, like, just to be funny. He
- 49:01Speaker 2: went to one, did a, all right, I'm going to
- 49:03Speaker 2: do a funny review, and it just kind of took off. Yeah.
- 49:06Speaker 2: I mean, with the same thing, what happened with Carton Arcs,
- 49:09Speaker 2: you know?
- 49:10Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 49:10Speaker 2: Greg came up with the idea, and Seabass.
- 49:12Speaker 3: Did it once. And Seabass made it happen.
- 49:13Speaker 2: And Seabass just kind of ran with it.
- 49:16Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 49:17Speaker 3: It's so good.
- 49:18Speaker 4: Oh.
- 49:19Speaker 3: This guy is hilarious, though. I only recently started watching
- 49:22Speaker 3: because you guys recommended him.
- 49:23Speaker 2: It's the delivery, dude. Yeah.
- 49:25Speaker 3: It's so funny.
- 49:25Speaker 2: We're gooning now, boys.
- 49:27Speaker 5: We're gooning, boys. Not really gooning.
- 49:29Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 49:29Speaker 2: I paid $ 29. 15.
- 49:30Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 49:37Speaker 2: For two people. Right. I love it. It's so funny.
- 49:41Speaker 3: Yeah, he's hilarious. I think I'm like an adventurous eater.
- 49:44Speaker 3: Some of the stuff he plates.
- 49:45Speaker 2: Oh, man.
- 49:46Speaker 5: Oh, God.
- 49:47Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 49:48Speaker 1: Vile.
- 49:49Speaker 2: So, yeah, the Asian buffet until I get food poisoning guy,
- 49:53Speaker 2: the mullet review guy, will be on the show with
- 49:56Speaker 2: us here this week.
- 49:58Speaker 3: Awesome.
- 49:58Speaker 2: I do have a brand new redneck news. The Woody Show.
- 50:01Speaker 2: If the most math you done ever did is keepin'
- 50:04Speaker 2: score in a game of darts.
- 50:07Speaker 3: Redneck News.
- 50:08Speaker 7: Woo-hoo!
- 50:10Speaker 10: All right, today's Redneck News is from Florida, where this
- 50:15Speaker 10: 50-year-old broad at the Royal Country Mobile Home Park was
- 50:20Speaker 10: beefing with her neighbor.
- 50:22Speaker 7: Aw.
- 50:22Speaker 2: She thought the neighbor lady... was having an affair with
- 50:25Speaker 2: her husband.
- 50:26Speaker 5: Uh-oh.
- 50:26Speaker 2: And she wanted to give that neighbor a piece of
- 50:29Speaker 2: her mind. Scandal. So she went over to the other
- 50:31Speaker 2: chick's trailer and she started banging on the door. When
- 50:34Speaker 2: the door opened, she starts yelling and screaming about the
- 50:36Speaker 2: woman stealing her man. Things escalate. And at some point,
- 50:41Speaker 2: the one woman got so mad that she forced her
- 50:43Speaker 2: way into the trailer. And she threw the contents of
- 50:48Speaker 2: a bucket that she had brought with her.
- 50:50Speaker 3: All right.
- 50:51Speaker 2: The contents of that bucket turned out to be her
- 50:54Speaker 2: own poop.
- 50:54Speaker 5: No!
- 50:56Speaker 2: And she threw it into the homewrecker's face. So the cops,
- 51:00Speaker 2: they were called, of course. They arrested the poop thrower
- 51:02Speaker 2: for burglary. I'm not sure what she took. I guess
- 51:05Speaker 2: for barging in. Yeah.
- 51:06Speaker 1: Maybe.
- 51:07Speaker 2: Is that considered, is that technically burglary? Good question. Or
- 51:11Speaker 2: do you have to steal something?
- 51:12Speaker 3: I don't think.
- 51:13Speaker 2: I think burglary is one of those weird definitions where
- 51:16Speaker 2: it's not necessarily. Because she forced her way into the trailer. Yeah.
- 51:21Speaker 2: So it's just the illegal entry. And then throwing the
- 51:24Speaker 2: poop into the face. That's the battery part that she
- 51:27Speaker 2: got charged with.
- 51:28Speaker 5: AI says you can commit a burglary without stealing anything.
- 51:31Speaker 4: Oh, yeah?
- 51:31Speaker 2: Yeah. Well, no word on if there's an actual affair
- 51:35Speaker 2: going on, but really just a crappy situation all together, guys. Getting.
- 51:42Speaker 2: So there it is. That is from Florida. Where a
- 51:45Speaker 2: woman in a trailer park throws a bucket of her
- 51:48Speaker 2: own poop in the face of the neighbor lady who
- 51:50Speaker 2: she believes was trying to steal her husband.
- 51:52Speaker 5: That'll show her.
- 51:53Speaker 2: And that is today's Redneck.
- 51:57Speaker 7: News.
- 51:58Speaker 2: I tell you what, this button doesn't work much anymore.
- 52:01Speaker 3: It's burnt.
- 52:01Speaker 2: It sticks. Look, I'm hitting it, hitting it, hitting it.
- 52:04Speaker 4: Look, look.
- 52:05Speaker 2: There it goes.
- 52:07Speaker 5: Give it 45 seconds.
- 52:08Speaker 2: I just like how she's fighting for the man that
- 52:10Speaker 2: is willing to stay with the woman who's pooping in
- 52:12Speaker 2: a bucket. Yeah. I grabbed the bag and I ran.
- 52:16Speaker 2: And as I'm running back, they're paging my name.
- 52:19Speaker 7: Uh-huh.
- 52:19Speaker 9: Oh, no.
- 52:21Speaker 4: This is The Woody Show.
- 52:23Speaker 2: I've shared a number of parenting tips over the years,
- 52:27Speaker 2: things that I have found my wife and I have
- 52:29Speaker 2: found useful over the years. You know, when the kids
- 52:32Speaker 2: were really little and the ice cream man would come around,
- 52:34Speaker 2: something that I had heard is not something I made up.
- 52:36Speaker 2: It was just something I heard. And so I'm like
- 52:38Speaker 2: paying it forward by then resharing it again was you
- 52:43Speaker 2: just tell the kid and it worked really well. My
- 52:44Speaker 2: son said, oh, can we get ice cream? And I go,
- 52:47Speaker 2: they're playing the song. What? I go, when the truck
- 52:50Speaker 2: is playing the song, it means they're out.
- 52:51Speaker 3: Of ice cream.
- 52:53Speaker 2: Yeah, that's my favorite. So the next time that it
- 52:59Speaker 2: came around, he's like, out of ice cream again?
- 53:03Speaker 3: Damn.
- 53:04Speaker 2: That's hilarious. Always out of ice cream. And the other thing,
- 53:07Speaker 2: now that your stepson's getting older, I felt like this
- 53:10Speaker 2: was a good time to share this with Gina, and
- 53:12Speaker 2: I'll share it with everybody, too. Once your kids are
- 53:14Speaker 2: really able to fully understand They start negotiating and reasoning.
- 53:19Speaker 7: Oh, boy.
- 53:19Speaker 2: The reasoning. Kids, even little kids will try to negotiate
- 53:22Speaker 2: with you. But like when they start to be able
- 53:23Speaker 2: to reason and fully understand, you can really do this.
- 53:28Speaker 2: You don't have to get mad. You got to remember
- 53:30Speaker 2: you're the adult. You're the parent, right? So when you
- 53:32Speaker 2: tell them to do something and they go, I'm not
- 53:35Speaker 2: doing that or whatever, the kind of smart mouth thing,
- 53:38Speaker 2: they hit you back or they do something. That they're
- 53:41Speaker 2: not supposed to do or they don't do something that
- 53:43Speaker 2: they've been told to do. Hey, put away all your laundry, please.
- 53:46Speaker 2: Keep all the stuff up off the floor. I've told
- 53:48Speaker 2: you three times. Hey, my wife's big thing is we
- 53:51Speaker 2: leave the house at a certain time. And my son
- 53:54Speaker 2: has a really big problem with time management. Like we
- 53:58Speaker 2: have to leave the house in two minutes. He'll come down.
- 54:01Speaker 2: Shirt still not buttoned. Let me jump in the shower.
- 54:03Speaker 2: One shoe on and he starts like making eggs. We're like,
- 54:06Speaker 2: what are you doing? What are you doing, dude? We're fine. Like,
- 54:10Speaker 2: what do you mean we're fine? Anyway, so we had
- 54:12Speaker 2: to set like a drop dead time about be downstairs
- 54:15Speaker 2: and ready to go. And if you're not, he just
- 54:17Speaker 2: knows that my wife's going to then send an Uber
- 54:21Speaker 2: for him and he's going to have to pay for it.
- 54:22Speaker 2: He's got a job. And we take that money right
- 54:25Speaker 2: out of his account. Like, hey, man, the train or
- 54:27Speaker 2: the plane, it leaves at a certain time. You're not
- 54:29Speaker 2: on board. You got to figure something else out. It's
- 54:31Speaker 2: not our problem. Wheels up, baby. But remember, parents, you
- 54:35Speaker 2: don't have to argue with these people. You don't have
- 54:37Speaker 2: to get emotionally charged and start yelling. And the worst
- 54:41Speaker 2: thing you could do, because this is when they know
- 54:43Speaker 2: that they got you, is you start throwing out, well,
- 54:45Speaker 2: you're not going to XYZ. Well, you know what? You're
- 54:47Speaker 2: not going to that birthday party on Saturday now either.
- 54:50Speaker 2: And they just keep firing you up because they know
- 54:53Speaker 2: that they got you. So here's what you do. Next
- 54:55Speaker 2: time they do something that is against the rules, instead
- 54:58Speaker 2: of saying, well, here's the punishment or getting mad, let's go.
- 55:01Speaker 2: All right. Again, they have to be old enough to
- 55:03Speaker 2: be able to reason.
- 55:04Speaker 5: To get it.
- 55:05Speaker 2: To get it. And you go, all right. Because at
- 55:08Speaker 2: some point that all right will be all you need
- 55:10Speaker 2: to say, because here's what it means. The next time
- 55:13Speaker 2: they need or ask for something, which will be in
- 55:15Speaker 2: the next, I don't know, 24 hours. The next thing
- 55:20Speaker 2: they ask for, you just go, no. And they go, why?
- 55:23Speaker 2: You go, hey, remember yesterday?
- 55:25Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 55:26Speaker 2: When I X, Y, Z told you and you said
- 55:29Speaker 2: or you lipped off or you whatever. That's why. See ya.
- 55:33Speaker 2: Take care.
- 55:34Speaker 3: Like a delayed punishment.
- 55:35Speaker 2: That's it.
- 55:35Speaker 5: I'm so excited to try this because yesterday we get
- 55:39Speaker 5: like food delivery order sometimes and it's been sitting out
- 55:42Speaker 5: for like two hours. I didn't know. And we said
- 55:44Speaker 5: to the kid, did you see this when you came
- 55:46Speaker 5: home from school?
- 55:47Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 55:48Speaker 5: Why didn't you take it inside? I didn't feel like it.
- 55:53Speaker 5: And I said, now I, first of all, his blood
- 55:55Speaker 5: ran cold because I said, what did you, I get
- 55:57Speaker 5: quiet and I go, what did you say?
- 55:58Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 56:00Speaker 5: I go, okay. And I was like, yes. And I
- 56:02Speaker 5: pulled Andy aside and I go, is there anything he
- 56:04Speaker 5: needs like in the next couple of days? Cause we're
- 56:06Speaker 5: going to say, I don't feel like it. So we're
- 56:07Speaker 5: all excited.
- 56:08Speaker 2: So we're looking for an opportunity.
- 56:10Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 56:10Speaker 2: Yep. It's good. Do you have anything like that, Jeff?
- 56:13Speaker 2: I mean, you're, I mean, you're, you're pretty, you're a
- 56:15Speaker 2: cool dad. Like I think, and I hear the way,
- 56:18Speaker 2: and I see the way that you interact with your kids.
- 56:19Speaker 1: Uh-huh.
- 56:20Speaker 2: Like you're a very loving dad.
- 56:21Speaker 5: But they're not, but they're not best friends, but they don't, they.
- 56:23Speaker 2: Don't get away with it. No, that's for sure. Yeah. Yesterday.
- 56:26Speaker 12: I think you even heard my, uh, me talking to
- 56:28Speaker 12: my son who was in Italy. We talked about how
- 56:29Speaker 12: I had to go to the emergency room. And I'm all, hey,
- 56:31Speaker 12: by the way, bro, next time, can you charge your
- 56:34Speaker 12: phone before you go to the emergency room? Why are
- 56:36Speaker 12: your phone on 7% during an emergency? I'm all, you
- 56:39Speaker 12: couldn't pick a cord up or whatever. But I keep
- 56:42Speaker 12: it real with boys. I think boys, you'll see, you
- 56:44Speaker 12: need to keep it like 100 with them. Because if not,
- 56:48Speaker 12: they're just going to think you're too cool.
- 56:50Speaker 2: And you're a friend. And you're a pushover. And you're
- 56:52Speaker 2: a pushover.
- 56:53Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 56:53Speaker 12: So I keep it 100 with them. And I also
- 56:56Speaker 12: give them what they need. But I also, if they
- 56:58Speaker 12: don't deserve it, they're not getting it.
- 56:59Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 56:59Speaker 2: And I don't cave.
- 57:01Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 57:01Speaker 2: My wife caves.
- 57:03Speaker 3: So does mine.
- 57:04Speaker 2: And they know if they just hang in there long enough,
- 57:07Speaker 2: she'll eventually get frustrated and just cave. And so that's
- 57:10Speaker 2: why I say every once in a while to them, hey,
- 57:12Speaker 2: would you have done that or said that to me? No. Well,
- 57:16Speaker 2: why would you do that to your mom? Or why
- 57:17Speaker 2: would you say that to your mom? And I know
- 57:20Speaker 2: the answer. I tell my kids that. That's the only
- 57:22Speaker 2: thing you can tell your kids because it's true. Most
- 57:24Speaker 2: of the time when a parent is asking you a question,
- 57:26Speaker 2: they already know the answer.
- 57:28Speaker 5: We want to know if we're on the same page.
- 57:30Speaker 2: They already know.
- 57:30Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 57:31Speaker 2: I want to know if you're lying or not.
- 57:32Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah.
- 57:34Speaker 2: Hey, anything happen at school today? We already know. This
- 57:37Speaker 2: means somebody called. Somebody sent an email. We already know
- 57:40Speaker 2: what happened. Yeah. I have another question. Can they be
- 57:42Speaker 2: controlled with treats like my dogs? You know, the treat
- 57:46Speaker 2: is their phone.
- 57:47Speaker 5: Yeah, exactly.
- 57:48Speaker 2: That's how you control it. Yeah.
- 57:50Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 57:51Speaker 2: So again, don't feel the need to start throwing out
- 57:53Speaker 2: punishments or things in the moment. Just go, all right, cool.
- 57:58Speaker 3: Just defer it.
- 57:59Speaker 2: And then the next time, like, is it cool if
- 58:02Speaker 2: I go over to so-and-so's house?
- 58:03Speaker 4: No.
- 58:04Speaker 7: No.
- 58:04Speaker 2: I'm not feeling that. What? Why? Because it's something that's
- 58:07Speaker 2: otherwise not a big deal, right? Nah. Hey, because yeah,
- 58:10Speaker 2: remember when I said. Yeah. And you told me.
- 58:13Speaker 5: And that's conditioning because any kid can get through a lecture.
- 58:16Speaker 5: But if I just hear, okay, I'd be like walking
- 58:19Speaker 5: on eggshells for the next 24 hours.
- 58:21Speaker 3: Yep.
- 58:21Speaker 2: You're way more patient than me. I try to settle
- 58:23Speaker 2: it right in the moment.
- 58:24Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 58:25Speaker 3: I can't.
- 58:25Speaker 2: I can't wait.
- 58:26Speaker 5: I want to try it.
- 58:27Speaker 2: I'm so excited. Sometimes the long game's good, man.
- 58:29Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 58:30Speaker 2: When they don't know what's coming. That's what I talked about,
- 58:32Speaker 2: like death row inmates. Right. You don't tell them what
- 58:34Speaker 2: the date is. You let them guess. Their victim didn't
- 58:37Speaker 2: know that that was their last day. Let them wonder,
- 58:40Speaker 2: is today the day or is it going to be
- 58:42Speaker 2: next week, next month, whatever?
- 58:43Speaker 5: That's the torture.
- 58:44Speaker 2: And then you mess with them. Like you show up,
- 58:47Speaker 2: you bring the chaplain or whatever, and you kind of
- 58:50Speaker 2: like use your, what do they call that? The billy club,
- 58:52Speaker 2: the nightstick or whatever to kind of against the bars. Hey,
- 58:57Speaker 2: wake up, man. Ah, today's not today. Maybe another day.
- 59:00Speaker 2: Good night. Yeah, good night. You are not on the
- 59:02Speaker 2: hot seat. Yeah. Sleep time. Yeah, so here are some
- 59:05Speaker 2: parenting methods. And people will sometimes say to me, like, oh,
- 59:09Speaker 2: I would never do that to my kid. That's not right. Oh,
- 59:11Speaker 2: is that Sammy telling you? I didn't say anything. By
- 59:15Speaker 2: the way.
- 59:15Speaker 6: I don't think we purposely psychologically torture, but you know.
- 59:18Speaker 2: Let me ask Gina and Jeff.
- 59:20Speaker 5: Uh-huh.
- 59:21Speaker 2: Isn't that kind of stuff always from the people who
- 59:24Speaker 2: don't have kids?
- 59:24Speaker 5: 100% of the time.
- 59:26Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 59:27Speaker 2: Anybody who has kids, they go, I get it.
- 59:29Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 59:30Speaker 5: Cause it's, I'm all about, and so are you like
- 59:32Speaker 5: natural consequences. Like you didn't put your shoes on. Well,
- 59:35Speaker 5: I guess you're going to school without shoes. You know,
- 59:36Speaker 5: it's not, you don't have to fight. Please put your
- 59:38Speaker 5: shoes on. Please, please.
- 59:40Speaker 2: But just in general, people that have opinions about what
- 59:42Speaker 2: you're doing.
- 59:42Speaker 5: Oh yeah.
- 59:43Speaker 2: Typically are the people who don't have kids.
- 59:44Speaker 5: Why ever take your kid outside?
- 59:46Speaker 2: I don't have an opinion because I just go deaf.
- 59:49Speaker 2: Parenting methods people judged before they became parents.
- 59:53Speaker 5: Oh, let's hear it.
- 59:54Speaker 2: People were asked that question. They asked parents that question.
- 59:57Speaker 2: What's something that you judged before you had kids and
- 59:59Speaker 2: now you're like, I get it. Somebody said, I used
- 1:00:02Speaker 2: to say my kids will never eat the car. Okay.
- 1:00:05Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 1:00:05Speaker 2: Good luck. Now my kids don't eat in my car.
- 1:00:07Speaker 3: They're not allowed. I was going to say.
- 1:00:09Speaker 2: But to say they're never going to eat in any car.
- 1:00:11Speaker 2: In a car. Well, because the shuttling around to all
- 1:00:13Speaker 2: the different activities and stuff. Sometimes there's just no.
- 1:00:16Speaker 3: Time management.
- 1:00:17Speaker 2: Yeah. It's either that or nobody eats.
- 1:00:19Speaker 5: Right.
- 1:00:20Speaker 2: Well, my kids would be starving.
- 1:00:22Speaker 3: They would never eat more carbs.
- 1:00:24Speaker 2: This person said, I pulled a 180 on toddler leashes.
- 1:00:27Speaker 2: Like the backpack that has the- Same. Yeah.
- 1:00:30Speaker 5: Oh, I think they're brilliant. I used to be like,
- 1:00:32Speaker 5: those are cruel and unusual.
- 1:00:33Speaker 2: Those are good.
- 1:00:34Speaker 5: If you're at like a big giant theme park- With toddlers.
- 1:00:36Speaker 5: And it doesn't, you know, it could be like the
- 1:00:37Speaker 5: wrist to wrist or whatever, but they disappear. Here, and
- 1:00:40Speaker 5: your kid is gone.
- 1:00:41Speaker 2: I'm talking about the little teddy bear backpack, and it's
- 1:00:43Speaker 2: got a little tethered to it. That's fine.
- 1:00:45Speaker 5: It's fine.
- 1:00:46Speaker 9: So I had a buddy who has kids. He has
- 1:00:48Speaker 9: four kids that I would hang out with and would
- 1:00:51Speaker 9: be out in public, and he would see other parents
- 1:00:54Speaker 9: with that leash, and he would talk ish to them,
- 1:00:56Speaker 9: to their face. about it and I'm like dude I
- 1:00:59Speaker 9: don't even want to be around.
- 1:00:59Speaker 2: You right now I don't know why anybody who has
- 1:01:02Speaker 2: a kid I don't know why it may not be
- 1:01:04Speaker 2: for you and you may choose not to do it
- 1:01:05Speaker 2: but like how you could be so adverse to it
- 1:01:07Speaker 2: like I get it he was very vocal about it
- 1:01:09Speaker 2: like this person said my toddler specializes is an expert
- 1:01:13Speaker 2: into getting the most dangerous situation possible at all times. Well, Jeff,
- 1:01:17Speaker 2: you were visually turned off by that.
- 1:01:20Speaker 12: I don't really like that method. That's what strollers are for.
- 1:01:22Speaker 12: If they're going to walk away, put them in a stroller,
- 1:01:23Speaker 12: keep it moving.
- 1:01:25Speaker 2: I'm not a fan of it. It just reminds me
- 1:01:26Speaker 2: of a dog too much.
- 1:01:27Speaker 5: It does.
- 1:01:28Speaker 2: That's what he would say.
- 1:01:29Speaker 5: We never did it, but when I see parents with it, I'm.
- 1:01:31Speaker 2: Like, I get it.
- 1:01:32Speaker 5: That's true.
- 1:01:33Speaker 2: So if you love your dog so much, and they
- 1:01:35Speaker 2: have more care for dogs than they do for people,
- 1:01:38Speaker 2: why are dogs on leashes? Yeah, I mean, I think
- 1:01:41Speaker 2: it's two different things.
- 1:01:41Speaker 5: They're as controllable. Dogs can go in strollers.
- 1:01:43Speaker 2: I'm saying they're as controllable. They have the same brain. Like,
- 1:01:46Speaker 2: a toddler is the same, like, mental capacity as, like, say, like,
- 1:01:49Speaker 2: a golden retriever. The golden retriever, an adult golden retriever
- 1:01:52Speaker 2: has the same mental capacity, they say, as a human toddler.
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: Right.
- 1:01:55Speaker 2: So you still have to teach them, though.
- 1:01:57Speaker 6: I mean, wouldn't this go back to when anyone says, like, oh, well,
- 1:02:00Speaker 6: when we were kids, we didn't have that and we
- 1:02:01Speaker 6: were fine. Like, leashes weren't always a thing and toddlers survived.
- 1:02:05Speaker 5: And all the kids were on milk cartons. Thank you.
- 1:02:07Speaker 2: As Bryn said, my wife and I used to say
- 1:02:09Speaker 2: no tablets or phones at the table when we'd go
- 1:02:11Speaker 2: out to eat, but then we changed our mind because
- 1:02:12Speaker 2: we want to be able to sit there and enjoy
- 1:02:14Speaker 2: a meal or a drink together.
- 1:02:16Speaker 7: True.
- 1:02:16Speaker 5: I'm not there yet.
- 1:02:16Speaker 3: That's tough.
- 1:02:17Speaker 2: True. Just left the kid at home. Yeah, I used
- 1:02:21Speaker 2: to judge sending your kid to daycare during the day,
- 1:02:25Speaker 2: during a day off during the week. So like a parent,
- 1:02:29Speaker 2: like a parent day off.
- 1:02:30Speaker 3: I would never judge somebody for that.
- 1:02:32Speaker 5: You know, I used to judge like nannies and stuff hard. Like,
- 1:02:35Speaker 5: you don't want to raise your kid that don't have
- 1:02:36Speaker 5: a kid. And now I'm like, I want the best
- 1:02:38Speaker 5: for my kid. I want someone to interact with them
- 1:02:40Speaker 5: 24 hours a day. I just don't want to do it.
- 1:02:42Speaker 5: So I get why somebody.
- 1:02:43Speaker 2: Would do it. Tex says, I judge people who leash
- 1:02:46Speaker 2: their kids until I had kids. And now I see
- 1:02:47Speaker 2: why I need my two, my two-year-old needs it. I
- 1:02:50Speaker 2: get it. I mean, to each their own.
- 1:02:51Speaker 12: By the way, I really want to debate that dogs
- 1:02:53Speaker 12: aren't smarter than two-year-olds because I think they are.
- 1:02:56Speaker 2: Oh, a lot of them are. Way smarter. Having a
- 1:02:58Speaker 2: kid who only wants to eat chicken nuggets and fries,
- 1:03:01Speaker 2: I always thought, why don't you try to expand their
- 1:03:03Speaker 2: palate a little? Okay.
- 1:03:05Speaker 5: I kind of, well, it depends what kid you have.
- 1:03:07Speaker 5: We have a kid who's an adventurous eater, so I
- 1:03:09Speaker 5: don't have a problem with that. But if a kid's
- 1:03:11Speaker 5: a super picky eater, they got to eat something. What
- 1:03:14Speaker 5: are you going to do?
- 1:03:15Speaker 2: Let them be a kid and let them eat that crap.
- 1:03:16Speaker 2: They'll grow out of it. Or parents were asked, what's
- 1:03:19Speaker 2: something that you judged other parents for before you became
- 1:03:22Speaker 2: a parent yourself? Planning your day around your kid's nap time.
- 1:03:26Speaker 5: I.e.
- 1:03:27Speaker 2: Rushing home when they're sleepy. I thought I was going
- 1:03:29Speaker 2: to take a more relaxed approach. It turns out sometimes
- 1:03:32Speaker 2: you just want to stick to the schedule to make
- 1:03:34Speaker 2: things easier for everybody. I get that. I do have
- 1:03:36Speaker 2: a question.
- 1:03:37Speaker 3: All right.
- 1:03:37Speaker 2: Like just straight up.
- 1:03:40Speaker 9: Why did you want to do it? Why did you
- 1:03:42Speaker 9: want to have kids? Or were you just naive on
- 1:03:44Speaker 9: how much responsibility it would be?
- 1:03:48Speaker 2: Great question, Menace. I have no idea.
- 1:03:50Speaker 3: I think that's a philosophical question that not many people
- 1:03:53Speaker 3: could answer.
- 1:03:54Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:03:54Speaker 3: Because I've always wondered that. Like, why do people want
- 1:03:56Speaker 3: to have kids?
- 1:03:57Speaker 2: Well, my wife and I never, individually, before we were
- 1:03:59Speaker 2: ever together, we were both adults saying, I'm never having kids.
- 1:04:04Speaker 2: And then we got married and we're like, ah, maybe one.
- 1:04:09Speaker 2: And we both softened on that. And I don't know
- 1:04:11Speaker 2: what it was. I was married before. I believe it's influence.
- 1:04:13Speaker 2: And I was like, nope, absolutely not. And she was
- 1:04:15Speaker 2: big on it. She wanted to have kids. I'm like, nope,
- 1:04:17Speaker 2: absolutely not.
- 1:04:17Speaker 5: Most people are hardwired to procreate and have kids.
- 1:04:20Speaker 2: So we're hardwired. Were yours planned then? Yeah. See, mine
- 1:04:24Speaker 2: were both oops.
- 1:04:25Speaker 12: It took a while to figure it out, especially like
- 1:04:28Speaker 12: for my wife. It took her a little, she'll admit it,
- 1:04:30Speaker 12: like it took her a while to give up her
- 1:04:31Speaker 12: lifestyle to.
- 1:04:32Speaker 2: Figure out kids.
- 1:04:33Speaker 5: I guess you could say in a way mine was
- 1:04:35Speaker 5: an oops.
- 1:04:36Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:04:37Speaker 5: Being a stepmom. Yeah, because you fell.
- 1:04:39Speaker 2: In love with a guy who had a kid.
- 1:04:41Speaker 5: I did, but I also, I know this is going
- 1:04:42Speaker 5: to sound very cliche, but like, I think I got
- 1:04:45Speaker 5: a lot of love to give and I like giving
- 1:04:46Speaker 5: it to some, you know, younger, helpless thing that needs,
- 1:04:49Speaker 5: you know, that needs that guidance and needs that love.
- 1:04:52Speaker 5: I like doing it.
- 1:04:53Speaker 2: My parents raised me on good old-fashioned physical discipline. Belts,
- 1:04:56Speaker 2: extension cords, whatever was closest to my dad.
- 1:04:59Speaker 5: Nice.
- 1:04:59Speaker 2: If I was lucky, he let me choose. Oh, my God.
- 1:05:03Speaker 2: That's the Sammy style parenting, right? Oh, yeah, for sure.
- 1:05:06Speaker 5: Extension cords.
- 1:05:08Speaker 2: Switches, wooden spoon, chunk gloves.
- 1:05:10Speaker 8: Wrenches.
- 1:05:10Speaker 2: All right, quick. And I got one of those notifications
- 1:05:13Speaker 2: on my phone. I mean, a follow-up to the parenting
- 1:05:19Speaker 2: conversation in just a second, but I did want to
- 1:05:22Speaker 2: mention here, just real quick, I saw a trailer. There's
- 1:05:25Speaker 2: a new documentary about Norm MacDonald.
- 1:05:28Speaker 8: Oh.
- 1:05:28Speaker 2: I will watch that immediately. It's going to be on
- 1:05:30Speaker 2: Netflix October 16th. It's directed by Judd Apatow.
- 1:05:34Speaker 7: Oh, nice.
- 1:05:35Speaker 2: And it's called Norm, The Tale of Norm MacDonald.
- 1:05:39Speaker 8: Mm-hmm.
- 1:05:39Speaker 2: And I have a clip from the trailer. Man, I
- 1:05:41Speaker 2: love Norm.
- 1:05:42Speaker 3: This is one of the celebrity deaths that I think
- 1:05:45Speaker 3: bummed me out the most.
- 1:05:46Speaker 2: You know what it is? He's one of those guys
- 1:05:47Speaker 2: I think you just kind of took for granted, meaning
- 1:05:50Speaker 2: that he was there and he was just always kind
- 1:05:53Speaker 2: of around.
- 1:05:54Speaker 7: Mm-hmm.
- 1:05:54Speaker 2: But I think he was certainly underrated. Oh. Not nearly
- 1:05:58Speaker 2: appreciated as much as he should have been. Absolutely.
- 1:06:03Speaker 5: To the public, absolutely.
- 1:06:04Speaker 2: Yes. He was super unique. Yeah, dude. And he was
- 1:06:07Speaker 2: such a nice guy.
- 1:06:08Speaker 3: So nice.
- 1:06:09Speaker 2: Yeah. So here's a little clip from the trailer.
- 1:06:11Speaker 4: It's funny with Saturday Night Live, isn't it, that people
- 1:06:13Speaker 4: either go on to huge fame or they fizzle into oblivion.
- 1:06:16Speaker 3: And then there's you.
- 1:06:17Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 1:06:18Speaker 3: And why would they fire you?
- 1:06:19Speaker 4: This guy, Don Ohlmeyer, he goes, I'm firing you there
- 1:06:22Speaker 4: from the show. And then I said, oh, that's not good.
- 1:06:27Speaker 4: And then I said, why is that now? And he goes, oh,
- 1:06:30Speaker 4: you're not, you know, you're not funny. And then I said,
- 1:06:33Speaker 4: I said, holy Lord, that's even worse news, you know?
- 1:06:37Speaker 2: I don't like to act.
- 1:06:39Speaker 4: Actors look on me the way vampires look on Count Choculo.
- 1:06:43Speaker 2: We regard you as the best of the best, the
- 1:06:46Speaker 2: guy who has it in every fiber of his being. Yeah,
- 1:06:49Speaker 2: I mean, it looks really good. Again, it's called Norm,
- 1:06:53Speaker 2: The Tale of Norm MacDonald, directed by Judd Apatow. It's
- 1:06:55Speaker 2: going to be on Netflix October 16th.
- 1:06:57Speaker 3: So good.
- 1:06:59Speaker 2: You can check that out. All right, so this is
- 1:07:01Speaker 2: the parenting thing. So when you send your kids off
- 1:07:04Speaker 2: to college, I have a lot. This is the age
- 1:07:05Speaker 2: group that my wife and I are in now where
- 1:07:08Speaker 2: a lot of our friends, this is what they're doing.
- 1:07:10Speaker 2: They're sending their kids off to college.
- 1:07:13Speaker 3: Empty nest.
- 1:07:14Speaker 2: So nice. Now, it doesn't mean the parenting stops because
- 1:07:18Speaker 2: families are now hiring campus moms.
- 1:07:20Speaker 5: What?
- 1:07:21Speaker 2: So there are companies around the country that offer students
- 1:07:25Speaker 2: care packages, wellness check-ins, fridge restocking, laundry pickup, and some
- 1:07:32Speaker 2: parents are paying $ 1, 500 a semester for the service. And
- 1:07:38Speaker 2: the company says that they're helping students become more independent. Oh, really? How?
- 1:07:43Speaker 7: Why?
- 1:07:43Speaker 2: It's like you have a fill-in mom.
- 1:07:46Speaker 5: They're doing the opposite.
- 1:07:48Speaker 2: Dumbest thing in the world. Re-stocking? You have a concierge. Yeah,
- 1:07:52Speaker 2: so the companies say they're helping students become more independent
- 1:07:54Speaker 2: while people online say parents are just paying somebody else
- 1:07:57Speaker 2: to baby their adult children.
- 1:07:59Speaker 5: 100%.
- 1:07:59Speaker 2: Nothing says independent adult like your parents hiring someone to
- 1:08:03Speaker 2: do your laundry. Yes.
- 1:08:04Speaker 5: It's like I've always said about participation trophies. The kids
- 1:08:07Speaker 5: aren't giving them to themselves. We can't blame the kids
- 1:08:09Speaker 5: for this. This is dumb parents.
- 1:08:11Speaker 3: No, man.
- 1:08:11Speaker 5: Let go.
- 1:08:12Speaker 3: Defeating the purpose of college.
- 1:08:14Speaker 5: Exactly.
- 1:08:14Speaker 2: Now, I mean, you know, our friends, they'll go visit
- 1:08:16Speaker 2: their kids at school, at college. And while they're there,
- 1:08:21Speaker 2: it's like, oh, yeah, we went to Costco. We loaded
- 1:08:23Speaker 2: them up on blah, blah, blah.
- 1:08:25Speaker 3: That's normal.
- 1:08:26Speaker 2: Yeah. My one buddy, he always sets his son up.
- 1:08:28Speaker 2: He buys like a giant Costco thing of rubbers and
- 1:08:32Speaker 2: he will go and buy like a ton of bottles
- 1:08:34Speaker 2: of booze and stuff like that and load them up
- 1:08:36Speaker 2: that way. And he goes, dude, we went to Costco.
- 1:08:39Speaker 2: We spent X number of dollars, hundreds and hundreds of dollars.
- 1:08:42Speaker 2: On all this booze and all this beer and everything else,
- 1:08:44Speaker 2: he said by the end of the weekend, it was
- 1:08:46Speaker 2: already half gone. Because as soon as he hit the
- 1:08:48Speaker 2: closet in their house, he invited all his friends over.
- 1:08:51Speaker 2: And so from the time we left, it's a like
- 1:08:54Speaker 2: 6 p.m. until we got back the next morning to
- 1:08:56Speaker 2: take him to breakfast. The closet was half emptied out already.
- 1:09:00Speaker 5: Is Bert Kreischer their kid?
- 1:09:02Speaker 2: Well, I mean, you know, the kid's... Kid's going for it.
- 1:09:05Speaker 2: He's at Indiana University. Did he buy him a second
- 1:09:08Speaker 2: round or was that it? No, that was it. Okay.
- 1:09:10Speaker 2: That was it. Like, hey, man, I stock you up
- 1:09:12Speaker 2: and what you do with it, you got to learn
- 1:09:14Speaker 2: to ration, dog. Well, that's the whole thing.
- 1:09:16Speaker 12: The purpose is going and they have to handle their finances.
- 1:09:20Speaker 12: They have to cook their own food. They have to
- 1:09:22Speaker 12: manage their own schedule. Because that's what's next. That's part
- 1:09:24Speaker 12: of going to college because that's.
- 1:09:25Speaker 3: Life, man. I would say that's the biggest part about
- 1:09:27Speaker 3: going to college.
- 1:09:28Speaker 2: Absolutely.
- 1:09:28Speaker 5: And it's fun as a kid to be on your own.
- 1:09:31Speaker 5: You don't want mommy following you around.
- 1:09:33Speaker 2: Yeah. Yep. Figure it out.
- 1:09:35Speaker 5: 877-44-WOODY.
- 1:09:37Speaker 2: Text over to 2297. Yeah, I heard the term dorm
- 1:09:40Speaker 2: refresh recently. Because the big thing now, this is more
- 1:09:44Speaker 2: with moms.
- 1:09:45Speaker 8: Yes.
- 1:09:45Speaker 2: Like college moms with their college daughters. And the mom
- 1:09:50Speaker 2: is almost like living vicariously.
- 1:09:51Speaker 1: Yes.
- 1:09:52Speaker 2: A second college experience through their daughter who's at school.
- 1:09:55Speaker 2: But they'll go there and they'll do like a whole
- 1:09:58Speaker 2: social media thing. Yeah, dorm revamp, dude. It's like decorating.
- 1:10:03Speaker 2: It's crazy.
- 1:10:04Speaker 5: But they're so cute. It's way better than a regular dorm.
- 1:10:08Speaker 5: You want to get, you know, the little stuff. But Sandy,
- 1:10:10Speaker 5: I know you're not on board with this, but when
- 1:10:12Speaker 5: I went to college, my mom was like hanging out.
- 1:10:14Speaker 5: I was like, mom, can you go?
- 1:10:16Speaker 2: Get out. Exactly.
- 1:10:17Speaker 5: I don't get it. Like, you don't want mommy in
- 1:10:19Speaker 5: college with you.
- 1:10:20Speaker 2: No, but like now the moms are... In there, almost
- 1:10:23Speaker 2: just like another sorority sister. Go play pickleball or something. Yeah, right.
- 1:10:28Speaker 5: Go play Mahjong.
- 1:10:29Speaker 2: More Woody Show next time. The price of the bar
- 1:10:32Speaker 2: of soap, $ 24. Get the F out of here.
- 1:10:35Speaker 12: $ 24?
- 1:10:36Speaker 2: Get the F out of here. What does it do?
- 1:10:41Speaker 2: For one bar of soap?
- 1:10:42Speaker 5: Does it paint my house?
- 1:10:43Speaker 2: The Woody Show will be right back. You didn't get
- 1:10:48Speaker 2: an allowance?
- 1:10:49Speaker 8: No.
- 1:10:49Speaker 2: So how did you know how much money you had
- 1:10:50Speaker 2: to spend? You could just spend whatever you wanted?
- 1:10:52Speaker 7: Yeah, but I also wasn't like, no, but I wasn't nuts.
- 1:10:55Speaker 6: I wasn't going shopping and stuff, but if I went
- 1:10:57Speaker 6: to the movies, I'd be like, Dad, I'm going to
- 1:10:59Speaker 6: the movies.
- 1:10:59Speaker 5: He's like, that's fine. Take the card.
- 1:11:01Speaker 1: I know.
- 1:11:03Speaker 5: I hear it now.
- 1:11:06Speaker 2: All right, well, One Hit Wonder Day is a thing.
- 1:11:09Speaker 2: One of the eight billion different made-up holidays. I don't
- 1:11:13Speaker 2: think it's a card or gift-giving holiday. No. It's an acknowledgment.
- 1:11:17Speaker 2: It's an acknowledgment.
- 1:11:18Speaker 7: Yes.
- 1:11:19Speaker 2: Shout out to One Hit Wonders.
- 1:11:21Speaker 8: Yep.
- 1:11:23Speaker 2: And so I got a best of seven.
- 1:11:26Speaker 4: Yes.
- 1:11:26Speaker 2: You guys know how this works.
- 1:11:27Speaker 3: Love these.
- 1:11:28Speaker 2: I have seven songs to consider.
- 1:11:31Speaker 9: Okay.
- 1:11:32Speaker 2: Now, like in a best of seven series, you know, sports,
- 1:11:36Speaker 2: first team to four wins moves on kind of thing.
- 1:11:39Speaker 2: Only four of these songs will make it. These are
- 1:11:42Speaker 2: all four. All seven of them are one hit wonders. Now,
- 1:11:46Speaker 2: I should point out. One hit wonder doesn't mean this
- 1:11:50Speaker 2: band only had one song, only released one song, only
- 1:11:53Speaker 2: recorded one song. And then disappeared. Yeah.
- 1:11:56Speaker 3: Preemptively. So letting you know, yes, they have more than
- 1:11:58Speaker 3: one song. Yes.
- 1:11:59Speaker 2: But only one of them was a bonafide hit.
- 1:12:04Speaker 9: Right.
- 1:12:04Speaker 2: Like a super huge smash. Like just because the song
- 1:12:08Speaker 2: hit like number 20 on the chart, that's not a hit.
- 1:12:11Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 1:12:11Speaker 2: I would say really top 10, top five, really top five.
- 1:12:16Speaker 2: To be considered a hit. Kind of an example would
- 1:12:19Speaker 2: be Alien Air Farm. Smooth Criminal. And they did have
- 1:12:23Speaker 2: a semi-hit song. Movies. Movies, yeah. There's another one, too.
- 1:12:28Speaker 3: But essentially.
- 1:12:29Speaker 2: Essentially, it's the Michael Jackson cover. So to save you
- 1:12:32Speaker 2: a text or two, all these bands, of course, have
- 1:12:36Speaker 2: other songs, but this was their one big hit.
- 1:12:40Speaker 3: Smash.
- 1:12:41Speaker 2: And they are... Universally recognized as a one hit wonder.
- 1:12:45Speaker 2: This is not my label. I put on them. In fact,
- 1:12:47Speaker 2: I saw a list of the top one hit wonders
- 1:12:51Speaker 2: of all time. And that's where all seven of these
- 1:12:54Speaker 2: songs come from in no particular order. So listen to
- 1:12:59Speaker 2: all seven options and then you're going to text your
- 1:13:01Speaker 2: picks the four that you would keep. You're going to
- 1:13:05Speaker 2: text the four that you would keep over to 22987.
- 1:13:07Speaker 2: Everybody here in the room ready to go? Oh, yeah.
- 1:13:10Speaker 2: All right. So the first one, very big, popular song,
- 1:13:13Speaker 2: but the one hit wonder from four non-blondes. What's up? Yeah.
- 1:13:25Speaker 2: All right. Four non-blondes. What's up? That was your first
- 1:13:36Speaker 2: one-hit wonder for this best of seven.
- 1:13:38Speaker 3: Can I just say, it always bothered me that the
- 1:13:40Speaker 3: name of the song isn't What's Going On.
- 1:13:42Speaker 5: I know.
- 1:13:42Speaker 2: It always bothered me. Yeah, isn't it parenthetically What's Going On?
- 1:13:47Speaker 3: I think so. I don't know. But it should have
- 1:13:49Speaker 3: been What's Going On.
- 1:13:49Speaker 2: All right. Number two for this One Hit Wonder's best
- 1:13:52Speaker 2: of seven. The artist is Wheatus. The song Teenage Dirtbag.
- 1:13:57Speaker 5: Because I'm just a teenage dirtbag, baby.
- 1:14:01Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm just a teenage dirtbag, baby. Listen to it.
- 1:14:13Speaker 2: I was convinced this was a chick for the longest
- 1:14:15Speaker 2: time singing this song.
- 1:14:16Speaker 5: Well, he acted like it in the song.
- 1:14:18Speaker 2: Yeah, but then I saw, like, even him in video
- 1:14:22Speaker 2: watching an interview talking about this, and you're listening to
- 1:14:25Speaker 2: his speaking voice, and all of a sudden he has
- 1:14:27Speaker 2: the acoustic guitar and starts... Like, what?
- 1:14:31Speaker 10: I didn't.
- 1:14:34Speaker 2: Realize, like, how many... Yeah, that's where it is. Come on.
- 1:14:39Speaker 2: I'm sure half those words are words that we're allowed
- 1:14:42Speaker 2: to say, too.
- 1:14:42Speaker 5: Yes, but when he does the part that he's being
- 1:14:44Speaker 5: the girl, like, I have to.
- 1:14:46Speaker 2: Take this to me. But even the main part of
- 1:14:48Speaker 2: the song.
- 1:14:48Speaker 5: They have other chicks in the band.
- 1:14:50Speaker 2: They could have done it. Yeah, he does it way better.
- 1:14:52Speaker 2: All right, so best of seven one-hit wonders. You can
- 1:14:55Speaker 2: only keep four of these. Number one was Four Non-Blondes,
- 1:14:59Speaker 2: What's Up? Number two, Weedus, Teenage Dirtbag. Number three, from
- 1:15:04Speaker 2: the 80s, they kind of go all over the place here,
- 1:15:06Speaker 2: was from Aha, Take On Me.
- 1:15:11Speaker 3: Great song.
- 1:15:16Speaker 2: I never realized what this line was here. I'll be home.
- 1:15:20Speaker 2: What's the next part? In a day or two.
- 1:15:22Speaker 3: That's it.
- 1:15:23Speaker 4: In a day.
- 1:15:24Speaker 2: In a day or two. Okay, I never realized that.
- 1:15:27Speaker 2: In a day or two. I never realized what was
- 1:15:28Speaker 2: being sung there. In a day or two. This is
- 1:15:34Speaker 2: a song I never get tired of hearing.
- 1:15:35Speaker 5: Really?
- 1:15:36Speaker 3: Yeah. Interesting.
- 1:15:38Speaker 5: I get burned out on it.
- 1:15:39Speaker 2: Really? Cool video, though.
- 1:15:43Speaker 3: The video was groundbreaking.
- 1:15:46Speaker 5: I still think it's groundbreaking.
- 1:15:48Speaker 3: It's pretty good.
- 1:15:48Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:15:49Speaker 3: All right.
- 1:15:50Speaker 2: Number four, best of seven. This is from the 90s.
- 1:15:54Speaker 2: Tag team. Whoop, there it is. Three words when you're
- 1:15:57Speaker 2: getting busy.
- 1:15:57Speaker 1: Whoop, there it is.
- 1:15:59Speaker 2: Hit me.
- 1:16:00Speaker 5: Whoop, there it is.
- 1:16:01Speaker 2: Woo, there it is. Woo, there it is. Woo, there
- 1:16:06Speaker 2: it is. Woo, there it is. Woo, there it is. Woo,
- 1:16:11Speaker 2: there it is. Woo, there it is. Upside down and
- 1:16:15Speaker 2: inside out, I'm about to show all you folks what
- 1:16:17Speaker 2: it's all about. Now it's time for me to get
- 1:16:19Speaker 2: on the mic and make this motherfucking party hype. I'm
- 1:16:21Speaker 2: taking it back to the old school because I'm an
- 1:16:23Speaker 2: old fool who's so cool. If you want to break
- 1:16:26Speaker 2: it down, let me show you the way. Woo, there
- 1:16:28Speaker 2: it is. Let me hear you say woo, there it is.
- 1:16:33Speaker 2: That's song number four, Best of Seven, One Hit Wonders. Again,
- 1:16:36Speaker 2: so far, if you're just tuning in, the considerations, Four Non-Blondes,
- 1:16:40Speaker 2: What's Up, Wheatus, Teenage Dirtbag, Aha, Take On Me. There
- 1:16:44Speaker 2: was Tag Team, Whoop, There It Is. And now the
- 1:16:48Speaker 2: next song, song number five. From Crazy Town, the year
- 1:16:51Speaker 2: was 2000, Butterfly. Couldn't escape this song, man.
- 1:16:54Speaker 7: I loved it.
- 1:16:55Speaker 2: Everywhere I went. The video is cool, too. Are you
- 1:17:16Speaker 2: guys ready for the next one?
- 1:17:18Speaker 5: Oh, yeah.
- 1:17:19Speaker 2: All right, so song number six, best of seven, one-hit wonders,
- 1:17:23Speaker 2: the name of the song, Return of the Max, Mark Morrison.
- 1:17:28Speaker 2: A lot of people know the name of the song,
- 1:17:31Speaker 2: and they can't remember the guy's name.
- 1:17:35Speaker 3: I'm in that category.
- 1:17:36Speaker 2: Mark Morrison. I always thought it was Montel Jordan.
- 1:17:43Speaker 5: It does sound like that.
- 1:17:47Speaker 2: Jeff and I were debating Montel Jordan. This is how
- 1:17:50Speaker 2: we do it. But he had another song that hit
- 1:17:54Speaker 2: number four on the charts.
- 1:17:55Speaker 5: He did?
- 1:17:56Speaker 2: Yeah. We just talked about it yesterday. And today, I
- 1:17:59Speaker 2: can't tell you what it's called.
- 1:18:02Speaker 5: But when you heard it, were you like, oh, yeah,
- 1:18:03Speaker 5: that song?
- 1:18:05Speaker 2: Didn't even bring it up.
- 1:18:06Speaker 13: Oh, wow.
- 1:18:06Speaker 2: Yeah. Montel Jordan, to me, would be a one-hit wonder.
- 1:18:10Speaker 2: But again, that doesn't, from a technical standpoint, it doesn't
- 1:18:13Speaker 2: qualify as a one-hit wonder. Wow. All right. So, For
- 1:18:18Speaker 2: Non Blondes, what's up? Weedist Teenage Dirtbag, uh-huh, take on me.
- 1:18:21Speaker 2: Tag Team, whoop, there it is. Crazy Town Butterfly. Mark Morrison,
- 1:18:27Speaker 2: Return of the Mack. And one more song here. for
- 1:18:30Speaker 2: your consideration in this one-hit wonder round of the best
- 1:18:33Speaker 2: of seven. Gautier, Somebody That I Used To Know. Again,
- 1:18:38Speaker 2: you can only keep four. You've got to tell us
- 1:18:50Speaker 2: which four you keep. You can text over to 22987,
- 1:18:55Speaker 2: either the artist, the title, or even just the number.
- 1:18:58Speaker 3: Of the song.
- 1:18:59Speaker 2: I like song three, one, five, whatever. Yeah, like here.
- 1:19:03Speaker 2: Someone said just keep one, three, five, and six. So
- 1:19:06Speaker 2: they want four non-blondes, Take On Me, Crazy Town, Butterfly,
- 1:19:11Speaker 2: and then Mark Morse from Return of the Mag. Get
- 1:19:14Speaker 2: your votes over to 22987. Everybody's going to take a
- 1:19:18Speaker 2: minute to think about what they want to get their
- 1:19:19Speaker 2: votes for, and then we'll go back and we'll look
- 1:19:22Speaker 2: at the text. We'll let you know the four that collectively,
- 1:19:25Speaker 2: on average, which got the most votes, which ones everybody's keeping.
- 1:19:29Speaker 3: I got a text from our program director, Lisa. Fun
- 1:19:32Speaker 3: fact about the Four Non Blondes song. They called it
- 1:19:34Speaker 3: What's Up out of respect to the Al Green song,
- 1:19:37Speaker 3: What's Going On.
- 1:19:39Speaker 4: Oh.
- 1:19:39Speaker 2: Interesting. Thank you, Lisa. Yeah. Also, she has written a ton.
- 1:19:46Speaker 7: Oh, yeah.
- 1:19:47Speaker 5: Oh, yeah.
- 1:19:48Speaker 2: No.
- 1:19:49Speaker 3: Linda Perry.
- 1:19:50Speaker 5: Yeah, she's an unbelievable producer.
- 1:19:52Speaker 2: I mean, she made the Arby's hat famous before Arby's did.
- 1:19:56Speaker 5: Before Pharrell.
- 1:19:57Speaker 2: Or Pharrell.
- 1:19:58Speaker 3: And she was married to Darlene from Roseanne.
- 1:20:00Speaker 2: Yes.
- 1:20:01Speaker 3: Oh, that's right.
- 1:20:02Speaker 5: For a time, yeah.
- 1:20:03Speaker 2: A delicious lesbian, right, Craig? You got it right. All right,
- 1:20:08Speaker 2: so which ones are you keeping? You can only keep
- 1:20:10Speaker 2: four out of that list. Four non-blondes. What's up? We
- 1:20:12Speaker 2: just teenage dirtbag. Aha, take on me. Tag team, whoop,
- 1:20:16Speaker 2: there it is. Crazy town butterfly. Mark Morrison, return of
- 1:20:19Speaker 2: the Mac. Go TA. Somebody I used to know. What
- 1:20:22Speaker 2: are you keeping? Text over to 22987. We'll have those
- 1:20:25Speaker 2: results coming up next. Oh, it's so cute.
- 1:20:27Speaker 3: I need it. I got to have it.
- 1:20:34Speaker 2: So there are seven considerations. Only four can make it
- 1:20:39Speaker 2: the results. We have those all tabulated. I'll give you
- 1:20:42Speaker 2: the results for here in the studio and then also
- 1:20:45Speaker 2: the listener vote. Thank you, everybody who texted your votes.
- 1:20:48Speaker 2: Over to 22987. I'm curious, going around the room, I'll
- 1:20:51Speaker 2: tell you what's the final order of the most popular
- 1:20:53Speaker 2: from everybody, but going around the room, which three didn't
- 1:20:58Speaker 2: make the cut for you, Greg Gorey?
- 1:21:00Speaker 3: Starting with Mark Morrison, Return of the Mack. Fine song,
- 1:21:03Speaker 3: good song, never on my radar in my lifetime. Wump,
- 1:21:07Speaker 3: there it is, not on my list. Also, same reasoning.
- 1:21:11Speaker 3: And this one did not make my list, and I'm
- 1:21:13Speaker 3: going to be that douchebag. Aha, take on me. Is
- 1:21:17Speaker 3: it a great song?
- 1:21:18Speaker 2: Yes.
- 1:21:18Speaker 3: But why is it not on my list? I personally
- 1:21:21Speaker 3: don't consider them a one-hit wonder band. They had The
- 1:21:24Speaker 3: Living Daylights, which was a James Bond movie, and The
- 1:21:27Speaker 3: Sun Always Shines on TV. And growing up listening to
- 1:21:30Speaker 3: this certain format, it was locked in my life. And
- 1:21:32Speaker 3: those were hits for that band.
- 1:21:34Speaker 2: In my world.
- 1:21:35Speaker 5: For a million dollars, I couldn't sing either of those.
- 1:21:36Speaker 2: For great. Among their fans. Those are all hits. Yeah. Menace,
- 1:21:41Speaker 2: what didn't make the cut, the three? Wheatus, Teenage Dirtbag.
- 1:21:45Speaker 9: I love the song. It's just I feel like the
- 1:21:47Speaker 9: other songs were stronger, so it didn't make the cut.
- 1:21:51Speaker 9: Tag Team, whoop, there it is, because that's washed dad rap.
- 1:21:55Speaker 2: I'm over it.
- 1:21:56Speaker 9: And then Mark Morris, just because I've heard it a
- 1:22:01Speaker 9: trizillion times.
- 1:22:02Speaker 3: All right.
- 1:22:03Speaker 2: Gina Grad.
- 1:22:04Speaker 5: Uh-huh. Again, I'm just sick of that song. Still an
- 1:22:07Speaker 5: amazing video. I'm just sick of it. Crazy town. Don't
- 1:22:10Speaker 5: get it. Never did. And I feel bad about this,
- 1:22:13Speaker 5: but I chose Gautier. I loved it when it came out,
- 1:22:16Speaker 5: but if I never heard it again, I think I'd live.
- 1:22:18Speaker 2: All right. Sammy?
- 1:22:20Speaker 5: Aha, take on me.
- 1:22:21Speaker 2: It's a fine song.
- 1:22:22Speaker 5: It just gets old.
- 1:22:24Speaker 2: Whoop, there it is.
- 1:22:24Speaker 5: Just because, again, it's fine in the right scenario.
- 1:22:28Speaker 6: You can get hyped on it, but it's so repetitive
- 1:22:30Speaker 6: that on my own, I don't want to listen to
- 1:22:32Speaker 6: the whole thing.
- 1:22:33Speaker 5: And then Mark Morrison, Return of the Mack, because eh.
- 1:22:38Speaker 6: It's just it's just there it's nothing to.
- 1:22:41Speaker 2: Me all right the three uh songs that didn't make
- 1:22:44Speaker 2: the list the one i had the hardest time cutting
- 1:22:47Speaker 2: like oh man i was looking for is there sure
- 1:22:49Speaker 2: there's nothing else i can cut instead of this one
- 1:22:52Speaker 2: uh mark morrison returning back i love that song man
- 1:22:56Speaker 2: honorable mention it couldn't get any closer to making the
- 1:22:58Speaker 2: list for me uh Crazy Town Butterfly.
- 1:23:02Speaker 3: That's one.
- 1:23:02Speaker 2: If I never heard that song again, I'd be totally fine.
- 1:23:05Speaker 5: No problem. I'm surprised by that.
- 1:23:06Speaker 2: I didn't love it when it came out. I thought
- 1:23:08Speaker 2: you did.
- 1:23:09Speaker 3: It's fine.
- 1:23:10Speaker 2: I don't hate it.
- 1:23:12Speaker 3: Right.
- 1:23:12Speaker 2: But it's one of those I could totally take or leave.
- 1:23:15Speaker 2: I could totally leave it.
- 1:23:16Speaker 5: I kind of hate it.
- 1:23:16Speaker 2: And the song that I've hated since the first day
- 1:23:19Speaker 2: I heard it is Go T.A. I hate everything that
- 1:23:22Speaker 2: sounds like it. I hate everything that, you know. I
- 1:23:24Speaker 2: just thought it was so different. I hate the name, Gautier.
- 1:23:27Speaker 5: You probably hated the video with the painted faces.
- 1:23:29Speaker 2: Couldn't even tell you what the video looked like.
- 1:23:31Speaker 4: Really?
- 1:23:32Speaker 2: Well, I met Gautier, and he was a dick. Oh, really?
- 1:23:35Speaker 2: I never.
- 1:23:36Speaker 9: But I'll tell you this. Later, and when it came out,
- 1:23:39Speaker 9: hated it. And I hated it for a long time.
- 1:23:41Speaker 9: But for some reason, now that I hear it, I
- 1:23:43Speaker 9: like it. But I think it's more for the chick
- 1:23:45Speaker 9: that's on it, and her name's Kimbra. I like her
- 1:23:48Speaker 9: a lot, too.
- 1:23:48Speaker 2: Okay. So those are the three that we all cut. Now,
- 1:23:52Speaker 2: around the room, it worked out where the we are keeping.
- 1:24:00Speaker 2: Let's see here.
- 1:24:01Speaker 5: Collectively, we are keeping.
- 1:24:02Speaker 2: What's that?
- 1:24:02Speaker 5: Collectively, we are keeping.
- 1:24:04Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:24:05Speaker 2: So let's see. We had a tie. We had a tie.
- 1:24:12Speaker 2: So I guess we had to include those two, right?
- 1:24:14Speaker 12: Yeah.
- 1:24:15Speaker 3: If it's a tie.
- 1:24:16Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 1:24:16Speaker 2: So it would be Gautier. This is from the bottom up. Gautier,
- 1:24:20Speaker 2: somebody I used to know. Tag team. Whoop, there it is.
- 1:24:27Speaker 2: Crazy Town Butterfly. And then number one is Four Non Blondes.
- 1:24:32Speaker 2: Got the most votes among the Woody Show staff.
- 1:24:35Speaker 5: Because it rules.
- 1:24:36Speaker 2: All right. Listener vote. Number four. Gautier. The number three
- 1:24:44Speaker 2: vote getter was tag team. Whoop, there it is.
- 1:24:46Speaker 7: Really?
- 1:24:47Speaker 4: Really.
- 1:24:48Speaker 2: Second place, Aha! Take On Me. And then number one,
- 1:24:54Speaker 2: Four Non Blondes.
- 1:24:55Speaker 5: Hell yeah. We all agree.
- 1:24:58Speaker 2: Yeah, the ones that the audience, the listeners on the
- 1:25:01Speaker 2: text decided to cut, it was a tie between Return
- 1:25:05Speaker 2: of the Mack and Wheatus. But the one that got
- 1:25:08Speaker 2: the least amount of votes, and I was surprised by this,
- 1:25:10Speaker 2: is Crazy Town Butterfly. I'm very surprised.
- 1:25:14Speaker 4: I agree.
- 1:25:14Speaker 2: I wouldn't have guessed that.
- 1:25:16Speaker 12: No way.
- 1:25:16Speaker 2: But everybody agrees. Here in the room and listeners on
- 1:25:19Speaker 2: the text, Four Non Blondes, number one, one hit wonder,
- 1:25:23Speaker 2: best of seven. The top vote getter and our best
- 1:25:26Speaker 2: of seven on one hit wonders from not just here
- 1:25:29Speaker 2: in the studio with the Woody Show staff, but also
- 1:25:31Speaker 2: with the listeners who texted over to 22987. Four Non Blondes.
- 1:25:36Speaker 2: What's up? Somebody in the text said, it was about
- 1:25:38Speaker 2: 30 years before I realized that this wasn't Cher singing.
- 1:25:42Speaker 5: Oh, that's funny.
- 1:25:43Speaker 3: That's hilarious.
- 1:25:43Speaker 5: That's super funny.
- 1:25:44Speaker 2: I also understand this one. Text came over and said,
- 1:25:47Speaker 2: working at a karaoke bar, I am so burned out
- 1:25:49Speaker 2: on Four Non Blondes.
- 1:25:50Speaker 1: I get that.
- 1:25:56Speaker 2: We are back and we have some more tickets for
- 1:25:58Speaker 2: you this hour. Dominic Fike's going to be at the

- 1:26:15Speaker 2: best aviators putting on all these cool displays, demos from

- 1:26:23Speaker 2: the America 250 celebration. Not this weekend, but next weekend,
- 1:26:27Speaker 2: October 2nd through the 4th, is the Pacific Air Show
- 1:26:30Speaker 2: in Huntington Beach. Win those tickets coming up in the
- 1:26:34Speaker 2: 9 o'clock hour here on The Woody Show. Phones are
- 1:26:39Speaker 2: open 877-44-WOODY. You can send us a text over to 22987.
- 1:26:43Speaker 2: I have an update for you. Do you remember the
- 1:26:48Speaker 2: Florida woman who claimed the cocaine fell out of her
- 1:26:51Speaker 2: ass and it wasn't hers?
- 1:26:52Speaker 5: Yeah, I hate when that happens.
- 1:26:54Speaker 3: Not my butt.
- 1:26:55Speaker 2: Yeah, well, she made a deal. And the deal is
- 1:26:59Speaker 2: they would drop the drug charges. But she got 18
- 1:27:03Speaker 2: months probation, a $ 700 fine. And then she got credit
- 1:27:09Speaker 2: for the 70 days that she had already spent in jail.
- 1:27:12Speaker 5: Oh, so nothing.
- 1:27:13Speaker 2: Yeah. So, I mean, you have a bunch of cocaine
- 1:27:15Speaker 2: that falls out of your ass during a search.
- 1:27:17Speaker 5: You're all good.
- 1:27:18Speaker 2: And it's 700 bucks in time served.
- 1:27:20Speaker 3: And probation.
- 1:27:21Speaker 2: Which she probably could have been out right away if
- 1:27:24Speaker 2: she would have had any money to... Oh, for bail?
- 1:27:27Speaker 2: To get bailed out.
- 1:27:28Speaker 3: True, true.
- 1:27:29Speaker 2: See, there's another thing. We talked about not understanding... Drug stuff, Greg? Yes.
- 1:27:34Speaker 2: That process is another one I don't really understand.
- 1:27:37Speaker 3: Completely. Bail, bond, don't get it.
- 1:27:39Speaker 2: Yeah, bail bondsman, how's that process?
- 1:27:42Speaker 3: I don't get it.
- 1:27:43Speaker 2: My basic understanding, right? So let's say, Greg, you get arrested, right?
- 1:27:47Speaker 3: Right. Bail set at a million dollars.
- 1:27:49Speaker 2: You'd be like 10%, I think. So it would be $ 100, 000. Right. Now,
- 1:27:53Speaker 2: if you can't come up with $ 100, 000, then you can
- 1:27:56Speaker 2: go to a– people, feel free to correct on the
- 1:27:58Speaker 2: text over to 22987. I could go then or somebody
- 1:28:02Speaker 2: can go to the bail bondsman. Right. And they would
- 1:28:05Speaker 2: put up the hundred grand for you. I don't know.
- 1:28:07Speaker 5: But you better show up to your court date.
- 1:28:09Speaker 2: That's the thing. You are responsible for then showing up
- 1:28:11Speaker 2: for that. Not only repaying the hundred thousand.
- 1:28:14Speaker 3: Right.
- 1:28:14Speaker 2: So they'll front the money.
- 1:28:15Speaker 5: Yes.
- 1:28:16Speaker 2: But then they also keep you accountable. Like you're going
- 1:28:17Speaker 2: to be the one showing up to the court. And
- 1:28:19Speaker 2: then if you don't, that's when they send like a
- 1:28:21Speaker 2: bounty hunter. A dog out. Like dog the bounty hunter.
- 1:28:24Speaker 2: But there's like a fee or something. Yeah, of course.
- 1:28:26Speaker 3: Right.
- 1:28:26Speaker 2: Yeah. It's like a payday loan. Now here's what I
- 1:28:28Speaker 2: don't get. And this might be the dumbest question ever.
- 1:28:31Speaker 2: Do you get that money back or do you pay
- 1:28:33Speaker 2: it and it's gone?
- 1:28:34Speaker 5: I think you forfeit that money.
- 1:28:36Speaker 2: You do? Well, okay. So let's say Greg gets arrested.
- 1:28:39Speaker 2: For some reason.
- 1:28:40Speaker 11: Right?
- 1:28:40Speaker 2: Greg gets arrested and he ends up having his day
- 1:28:45Speaker 2: in court.
- 1:28:46Speaker 1: Right.
- 1:28:47Speaker 2: He got bailed out. Say he paid $ 100, 000. Right. Right.
- 1:28:50Speaker 2: He got bailed out. They have the day in court
- 1:28:54Speaker 2: and he's not guilty. Right. Then do you get the
- 1:28:57Speaker 2: $ 100, 000 back? Yeah.
- 1:28:59Speaker 3: Great question.
- 1:29:00Speaker 2: These are things, thank God, I have no first-hand experience with.
- 1:29:05Speaker 3: If it's uncool, oh well.
- 1:29:08Speaker 5: Well, this says, no, you do not get your money
- 1:29:11Speaker 5: back from a bail bondsman, even if you are found
- 1:29:13Speaker 5: not guilty.
- 1:29:14Speaker 2: Okay, let's just say you have the money. Not the
- 1:29:16Speaker 2: bail bondsman. Yeah, yeah. Oh, just bond? I'm saying like,
- 1:29:19Speaker 2: you know, because the bail bondsman pays it to the clerk, right?
- 1:29:23Speaker 2: The county clerk.
- 1:29:24Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 1:29:25Speaker 2: I'm assuming. So does somebody get the money.
- 1:29:29Speaker 3: Back, right? Yeah, that's what I don't know.
- 1:29:31Speaker 2: If you're found not guilty.
- 1:29:33Speaker 3: And why do the 10% thing? If it's a million
- 1:29:35Speaker 3: dollars bail and you have to pay $ 100, 000, why don't
- 1:29:38Speaker 3: they just make it $ 100, 000?
- 1:29:39Speaker 2: Yeah, that's weird.
- 1:29:40Speaker 3: I don't get it.
- 1:29:41Speaker 2: I don't understand why they sentence somebody to life in prison.
- 1:29:45Speaker 5: And make it 20 years.
- 1:29:46Speaker 2: But you can get paroled? Yeah.
- 1:29:47Speaker 3: Then that's not life.
- 1:29:48Speaker 8: No, you're right.
- 1:29:49Speaker 5: Yes, you will get the bail money back from the
- 1:29:51Speaker 5: court if you are found not guilty.
- 1:29:52Speaker 3: Okay.
- 1:29:53Speaker 2: And then you would use that to then pay off
- 1:29:55Speaker 2: whatever you owe to the bail bondsman. Okay.
- 1:29:59Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:30:00Speaker 2: That's when you know when you're a good part of town.
- 1:30:02Speaker 2: It's crazy that bail bondsmen start seeing those places popping up.
- 1:30:04Speaker 2: You're like, ooh.
- 1:30:05Speaker 9: They have so much money because they're usually like a
- 1:30:07Speaker 9: little hut by the courthouse, you know?
- 1:30:09Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:30:09Speaker 2: Right. Well, they're nice and close. It's convenient.
- 1:30:12Speaker 3: And much like the life in prison thing, I don't
- 1:30:14Speaker 3: think there should be probation. That's not a punishment. Probation, oh,
- 1:30:17Speaker 3: you're not allowed to get in trouble now.
- 1:30:19Speaker 2: You never are. Right. How is that a punishment? Well,
- 1:30:22Speaker 2: I mean, if it keeps you out of jail, it's
- 1:30:25Speaker 2: like that last chance, right? So you got busted. They
- 1:30:32Speaker 2: give you, I don't know, three years of probation.
- 1:30:35Speaker 8: Right.
- 1:30:36Speaker 2: Keep your nose clean for the next, of course you're
- 1:30:37Speaker 2: supposed to. Yeah.
- 1:30:39Speaker 3: But then three years in one day, then you can
- 1:30:40Speaker 3: do whatever you want.
- 1:30:41Speaker 2: No, no. But if you don't want to go to
- 1:30:42Speaker 2: jail on your current charge. Right. Like you're going to
- 1:30:46Speaker 2: stay out of jail. You're on probation. But if you
- 1:30:48Speaker 2: violate that probation, you will go to jail for this.
- 1:30:51Speaker 3: For that.
- 1:30:51Speaker 2: Okay. And then you're also in trouble for whatever new
- 1:30:54Speaker 2: thing you did. And here comes the guy in this room,
- 1:30:57Speaker 2: the only person who's ever been to jail.
- 1:30:58Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 1:31:00Speaker 2: Are you coming in to explain it to us? No,
- 1:31:02Speaker 2: I was just going to say.
- 1:31:03Speaker 12: Oh, I thought you were just going to say, okay.
- 1:31:04Speaker 12: I was going to say, Greg, you know, like, it
- 1:31:05Speaker 12: worked for me. Probation was plenty for me to learn
- 1:31:08Speaker 12: my lesson.
- 1:31:09Speaker 2: Yeah, dude. Here's how I look at it. We're all
- 1:31:11Speaker 2: on probation.
- 1:31:12Speaker 3: Technically, yeah.
- 1:31:14Speaker 2: You're not allowed to.
- 1:31:15Speaker 3: Commit any crimes.
- 1:31:16Speaker 2: No, you're not. But if, like, say you broke a,
- 1:31:18Speaker 2: you know, whatever. You committed a crime.
- 1:31:20Speaker 8: Yes.
- 1:31:21Speaker 4: Right?
- 1:31:22Speaker 2: You still could get probation. But if you're on probation
- 1:31:25Speaker 2: and you commit a crime, you're in jail.
- 1:31:28Speaker 5: For longer.
- 1:31:28Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:31:29Speaker 2: Yeah, because you go to jail for whatever you already did.
- 1:31:32Speaker 2: And now you're also in trouble for whatever you did that,
- 1:31:34Speaker 2: you know.
- 1:31:35Speaker 5: It's compounded.
- 1:31:35Speaker 2: Ruined your probation.
- 1:31:36Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:31:37Speaker 3: Yeah, Greg. I just don't find it to be a punishment.
- 1:31:40Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 1:31:41Speaker 2: I mean, you move differently. That's for sure. When you're
- 1:31:44Speaker 2: on probation. That's for sure.
- 1:31:45Speaker 3: Oh, I bet.
- 1:31:46Speaker 2: How long was your probation? Three years. Is it one
- 1:31:49Speaker 2: of those you had to like check in with somebody?
- 1:31:51Speaker 5: Okay.
- 1:31:52Speaker 2: Because, yeah. I got everything reduced, so. Yeah, I thought
- 1:31:56Speaker 2: you had to check in with your parole officer. No,
- 1:31:59Speaker 2: that's a different level. That's different?
- 1:32:01Speaker 8: Yep.
- 1:32:02Speaker 2: See, I don't know.
- 1:32:02Speaker 3: Parole and probation are different.
- 1:32:04Speaker 2: Such a loser.
- 1:32:05Speaker 3: God. You're such a square.
- 1:32:07Speaker 2: Don't do such a square. Yeah, Jeff did white collar crime, not. Yes.
- 1:32:11Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 1:32:12Speaker 2: Parole is like ankle monitor stuff, right? You could be
- 1:32:15Speaker 2: on probation with ankle monitors too. Yeah. You could be
- 1:32:19Speaker 2: waiting to go to court with ankle monitor.
- 1:32:21Speaker 5: Okay.
- 1:32:22Speaker 2: Okay.
- 1:32:22Speaker 9: Yeah, well, my friend, she had to go to Tent City.
- 1:32:25Speaker 9: She had an ankle monitor. She was allowed to leave,
- 1:32:29Speaker 9: you know, Tent City in Arizona, the jail. She was
- 1:32:32Speaker 9: allowed to leave, but she had an ankle monitor on
- 1:32:34Speaker 9: to go to work and then come back.
- 1:32:36Speaker 2: How was that in jail?
- 1:32:38Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:32:39Speaker 10: I mean.
- 1:32:39Speaker 5: Got to make that money.
- 1:32:40Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:32:41Speaker 2: Is it a work release?
- 1:32:42Speaker 4: Really?
- 1:32:43Speaker 2: Like a work release program? Well, no. It's, yeah, just
- 1:32:46Speaker 2: like you had to go to jail during the day.
- 1:32:48Speaker 2: She would leave for, like, four hours, five hours a day,
- 1:32:52Speaker 2: and then go back to jail.
- 1:32:53Speaker 3: Right.
- 1:32:54Speaker 2: But that's what it's called, right?
- 1:32:56Speaker 3: The guy that I worked with, it was called the
- 1:32:59Speaker 3: Honor Farm. He lived at the Honor Farm. And he
- 1:33:02Speaker 3: could go to work, and if you had to stay
- 1:33:04Speaker 3: at work one minute over, he had to call and
- 1:33:06Speaker 3: report and say where you're going to be. And then
- 1:33:08Speaker 3: after work, go right back.
- 1:33:10Speaker 5: To, quote, jail. Well, one year we went on a
- 1:33:12Speaker 5: vacation to this island called Rorotonga, and I really wanted
- 1:33:16Speaker 5: to go to the jail just to see what it
- 1:33:18Speaker 5: was like. And we went on a weekday, and it
- 1:33:20Speaker 5: was empty. We're like, where is everybody? And the correctional
- 1:33:25Speaker 5: officer said, oh, everyone went home for lunch.
- 1:33:27Speaker 2: Some of the text, the 10% is a down payment
- 1:33:32Speaker 2: for the total amount of bail. The bail company then
- 1:33:35Speaker 2: pays the remainder. You never get that 10%. They get
- 1:33:39Speaker 2: to keep that as their fee.
- 1:33:40Speaker 12: You're basically taking a loan out with the bondsman. Now,
- 1:33:45Speaker 12: let's say Woody had 100 grand in cash as an example.
- 1:33:49Speaker 12: He could put that down. And as long as I
- 1:33:50Speaker 12: went to all my court appointments- Woody would get his
- 1:33:53Speaker 12: money back. But because it's cash, Woody's money is not
- 1:33:56Speaker 12: borrowed from the bondsman.
- 1:33:57Speaker 5: And you can put up your house or something. Somebody
- 1:33:59Speaker 5: called me. I know this secondhand because I was called
- 1:34:02Speaker 5: by a bail bondsman to put up money for somebody.
- 1:34:04Speaker 5: And I said, no, thank you, and hung up the phone.
- 1:34:07Speaker 3: Yeah, I don't think I'd bail anybody.
- 1:34:09Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:34:09Speaker 5: Depending on how long.
- 1:34:11Speaker 3: It depends who it is.
- 1:34:12Speaker 2: And what was the circumstance? Is it something that they
- 1:34:15Speaker 2: actually did? Are they now caught up in something, wrong place,
- 1:34:18Speaker 2: wrong time? Yeah. Yeah.
- 1:34:20Speaker 12: Yeah, there's levels to it. I mean, if you know
- 1:34:22Speaker 12: they're a tweaker and they're in trouble for like the
- 1:34:24Speaker 12: fifth time.
- 1:34:25Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:34:26Speaker 7: No, dude.
- 1:34:26Speaker 3: Hell no.
- 1:34:27Speaker 2: Lose my number. But, you know, people make stupid decisions
- 1:34:31Speaker 2: and they do whatever. And depending on just how close
- 1:34:34Speaker 2: you are to this person, like, I'm willing to give
- 1:34:36Speaker 2: somebody one. You know?
- 1:34:39Speaker 5: No matter how stupid it is.
- 1:34:40Speaker 2: We've said that before.
- 1:34:40Speaker 3: The first one.
- 1:34:42Speaker 2: No pun intended, but like one bailout. Mm-hmm. You know,
- 1:34:45Speaker 2: if you can swing it. Depends on also what it is. Like,
- 1:34:48Speaker 2: what are we really talking about here? Mm-hmm. depending on
- 1:34:51Speaker 2: what the crime was or what you're being accused of,
- 1:34:55Speaker 2: don't want to touch that at all. Don't want to
- 1:34:57Speaker 2: be involved. You know? But what if your kid did the.
- 1:35:02Speaker 5: Dumbest thing, like, ever? Like, really bad and, like, definitely
- 1:35:06Speaker 5: their fault.
- 1:35:06Speaker 2: Like this look-smacking kid?
- 1:35:09Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 1:35:10Speaker 2: No.
- 1:35:11Speaker 3: No way.
- 1:35:12Speaker 5: Daddy, please!
- 1:35:13Speaker 2: Not touching Daddy nothing.
- 1:35:15Speaker 3: Jeff, are you allowed to drink when you're on probation?
- 1:35:18Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:35:18Speaker 5: I think it depends on the.
- 1:35:20Speaker 2: Yeah, for the most part. Some of the monitors, they
- 1:35:23Speaker 2: can detect. Yeah, it wasn't like Tracy Morgan's when he
- 1:35:27Speaker 2: had his. It was like detecting. So you talk about
- 1:35:30Speaker 2: a punishment.
- 1:35:31Speaker 12: Everything's different. There's so many levels to.
- 1:35:33Speaker 3: All of it.
- 1:35:34Speaker 2: So wait, what's the difference between parole and probation?
- 1:35:37Speaker 5: Well, parole is when you get out of prison, right?
- 1:35:41Speaker 2: Yeah, I think that's a more serious crime thing. But
- 1:35:44Speaker 2: like parole, you gotta see a parole officer. But is
- 1:35:47Speaker 2: that just the same thing as probation?
- 1:35:49Speaker 3: Like, you can't get in trouble.
- 1:35:50Speaker 5: Probation is given by a judge instead of jail time.
- 1:35:53Speaker 5: Parole is an early release after prison time.
- 1:35:55Speaker 2: Oh, there you go.
- 1:35:57Speaker 1: Okay.
- 1:35:57Speaker 2: And going back to the- I never did prison time. Yeah,
- 1:36:00Speaker 2: so you're- No, no, no. It's just counting, right? Yeah. No,
- 1:36:03Speaker 2: not even, I mean- Not even counting?
- 1:36:05Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:36:05Speaker 2: You got taken to count. Quick ins and outs, yes.
- 1:36:08Speaker 1: Ah, okay.
- 1:36:08Speaker 5: You got processed and released.
- 1:36:09Speaker 2: Ye olde revolving door. It's basically like vacation. Procidicism. Yes.
- 1:36:12Speaker 2: Horse vacation. Door's gonna swing wide. 877-44-Woody. What, Menace? I
- 1:36:18Speaker 2: was just going to say, my friend with the ankle monitor,
- 1:36:20Speaker 2: she bedazzled it, so it was super cute.
- 1:36:22Speaker 5: Oh, it's so cute.
- 1:36:23Speaker 2: So cute. How long has Julianne had it? It's good.
- 1:36:27Speaker 3: The Woody Show.
- 1:36:31Speaker 2: Greg made an observation, and now it's all I can do.
- 1:36:37Speaker 2: to not notice it. Really? I think you're right. Oh,
- 1:36:41Speaker 2: that's nice to hear. Greg said to me, why does
- 1:36:44Speaker 2: it seem that the richer a person gets, like a
- 1:36:47Speaker 2: guy especially, the more they're in the bracelets, like beads
- 1:36:50Speaker 2: and strings. Oh my God, I'm so glad I'm not
- 1:36:52Speaker 2: alone in this thinking. Well, so women... The more wealthy
- 1:36:59Speaker 2: they are, they have just more stuff. Necklaces and jewelry
- 1:37:03Speaker 2: in general. I mean, they know how to edit. But
- 1:37:06Speaker 2: you're right about dudes. When it comes to men specifically,
- 1:37:10Speaker 2: and I don't mean like, oh, I came into a
- 1:37:12Speaker 2: few hundred bucks. I'm talking like the ones you see
- 1:37:15Speaker 2: on TV, Rich. And they have so many bracelets, including
- 1:37:20Speaker 2: like little pieces of string. The kind of bracelets that
- 1:37:23Speaker 2: look like your daughter made you at camp. Right, right.
- 1:37:26Speaker 5: With maybe a little piece of metal on it.
- 1:37:27Speaker 2: Like you get them at gift shops down the shore
- 1:37:30Speaker 2: or something, down the beach.
- 1:37:31Speaker 3: Or it might be a single, I guess it's called
- 1:37:34Speaker 3: a beaded bracelet or like a rubber pearl bracelet.
- 1:37:38Speaker 2: Or some kind of like leather lace, like a shoelace,
- 1:37:42Speaker 2: but it's made of like a leather.
- 1:37:44Speaker 3: And it's ill-fitting and falling apart. There's this guy I
- 1:37:47Speaker 3: saw on TV. His name is Grant Cardone. I believe
- 1:37:50Speaker 3: he runs a thing called Cardone Capital, essentially a billionaire,
- 1:37:54Speaker 3: and he invests in real estate. And he's doing this interview,
- 1:37:57Speaker 3: and he's wearing the bracelets. And then there's another New
- 1:38:01Speaker 3: York real estate investor I saw on TV, incredibly successful,
- 1:38:05Speaker 3: and he has about 75 bracelets. And I think we
- 1:38:09Speaker 3: know people really, really high up in the company. Totally
- 1:38:14Speaker 3: into bracelets. And it's the richer the man gets, the
- 1:38:17Speaker 3: more bracelets.
- 1:38:18Speaker 2: What's the bigger the hoop, the bigger the whore? Like
- 1:38:21Speaker 2: when it comes to earrings, right? Or the higher the heel, something.
- 1:38:25Speaker 2: There's another one of those.
- 1:38:27Speaker 5: The higher the hair, the closer to God.
- 1:38:28Speaker 2: Yeah, I'll tell you though. the observation I've made, I
- 1:38:32Speaker 2: have the same observation, but that's millionaires. Billionaires, like nothing.
- 1:38:37Speaker 2: It's just like T-shirt, jeans. Yeah, yeah. Yeah. No bracelets, nothing.
- 1:38:42Speaker 2: I was watching a video of the guy, the NVIDIA guy,
- 1:38:46Speaker 2: and he always has... the same jeans, same shirt, and
- 1:38:51Speaker 2: then that black leather jacket. And they're like, we always
- 1:38:55Speaker 2: see you in the exact same, how many of these
- 1:38:57Speaker 2: do you have? He goes, I got a ton of them.
- 1:38:58Speaker 2: He wears the same exact thing.
- 1:39:00Speaker 3: But he has multiples.
- 1:39:01Speaker 2: And I agree, because my wife says, all your stuff
- 1:39:03Speaker 2: is exactly the same. I have three different versions. I
- 1:39:06Speaker 2: have long sleeve t-shirt, short sleeve t-shirt, and polo. In
- 1:39:11Speaker 2: only a small handful of colors. Black, gray... Perhaps like
- 1:39:17Speaker 2: a brown.
- 1:39:18Speaker 5: Like a dark green or something.
- 1:39:19Speaker 2: Or like a dark blue. Yeah. That's it. That's what
- 1:39:23Speaker 2: I've got.
- 1:39:23Speaker 5: It's like you and Steve Jobs.
- 1:39:24Speaker 2: And as much as I hate the what's for dinner question,
- 1:39:28Speaker 2: I don't enjoy like what to wear. Like the whole,
- 1:39:33Speaker 2: like who cares? So it's one, and the NVIDIA guy
- 1:39:35Speaker 2: said it's one less decision he's got to make.
- 1:39:37Speaker 3: Right.
- 1:39:38Speaker 2: He doesn't even have to think about it. He just
- 1:39:39Speaker 2: knows like, this is what I'm wearing. This works. And
- 1:39:42Speaker 2: who cares?
- 1:39:42Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:39:42Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:39:44Speaker 3: I've definitely noticed it. If you're watching TV or you're
- 1:39:47Speaker 3: seeing interviews with people, look at their hands and they're
- 1:39:49Speaker 3: wearing bracelets and they're usually a piece of string or
- 1:39:53Speaker 3: like you said, a shoelace, something very innocuous.
- 1:39:56Speaker 2: Yeah. Millionaires are way more gaudy than billionaires. That is true.
- 1:40:00Speaker 2: The billionaire guys, they're, they're, you know, they look homeless
- 1:40:03Speaker 2: at the time. You know why? Cause you don't, you
- 1:40:07Speaker 2: don't have to care. Our late agent was very wealthy and,
- 1:40:12Speaker 2: he kind of had that, not homeless look, but that... Oh,
- 1:40:15Speaker 2: he didn't look homeless.
- 1:40:16Speaker 3: Jeans and hoodie, you know, having drinks at a nice
- 1:40:19Speaker 3: hotel with him.
- 1:40:20Speaker 2: Yeah, he was very... But you could tell he was...
- 1:40:22Speaker 2: He was very casual.
- 1:40:23Speaker 1: Right.
- 1:40:24Speaker 3: So, like, if I did it, I'd look like a bum.
- 1:40:26Speaker 3: And when rich people do it, they look cool.
- 1:40:29Speaker 2: You know what I mean?
- 1:40:30Speaker 3: Like, you look cool when you look poor.
- 1:40:32Speaker 9: Yeah, but, like, that sweatshirt that looks like crap is $ 500.
- 1:40:37Speaker 3: Exactly.
- 1:40:38Speaker 2: Yeah. Exactly. Dude, so... This guy is a couple in Florida.
- 1:40:47Speaker 2: They're in bed. They're trying to sleep. No sexy time.
- 1:40:49Speaker 2: But the guy, he kept farting. And his chick was
- 1:40:53Speaker 2: getting pissed. Right. And she's like, yo, stop. So they
- 1:40:57Speaker 2: start arguing because he won't stop farting. Police say after
- 1:41:01Speaker 2: she spit in his face, he grabbed her by the
- 1:41:04Speaker 2: throat with both hands, pulled her off the bed and
- 1:41:06Speaker 2: strangled her.
- 1:41:07Speaker 7: Oh. Oh.
- 1:41:08Speaker 2: And she eventually got away and called the cops. And
- 1:41:10Speaker 2: the officers questioned him. He admitted that he choked her
- 1:41:13Speaker 2: dumb ass, quote unquote. And he was arrested for domestic battery. Like,
- 1:41:17Speaker 2: I wouldn't do it myself, but I get it. Like,
- 1:41:20Speaker 2: somebody spits in your face. Man, you got to have
- 1:41:23Speaker 2: some major league restraint. If I'm on that jury, not guilty.
- 1:41:30Speaker 5: But he started it with all the farting.
- 1:41:33Speaker 2: People fart. You're sharing a bed. Spit can be considered dirty. Assault.
- 1:41:37Speaker 2: Of course. If you throw a slice of pizza. I'm
- 1:41:39Speaker 2: never going to attack anybody like that.
- 1:41:40Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:41:41Speaker 2: So he just had enough.
- 1:41:42Speaker 3: He's like, ugh. See, they need a sleep divorce.
- 1:41:44Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:41:45Speaker 3: That would have solved all their problems.
- 1:41:47Speaker 2: A guy in Louisiana killed his wife. And then was
- 1:41:50Speaker 2: nice enough to take her on one last road trip.
- 1:41:53Speaker 2: According to the cops, they had gotten to an argument.
- 1:41:56Speaker 2: The guy snapped. He shot her, put her in the
- 1:41:58Speaker 2: passenger seat of the car, propped her up like Weekend
- 1:42:00Speaker 2: at Bernie style. And he started driving 400 miles.
- 1:42:03Speaker 3: That's so creepy.
- 1:42:05Speaker 2: 400 miles to Memphis. One last road trip. Before anybody
- 1:42:08Speaker 2: even noticed, by the way. And so he was arrested,
- 1:42:11Speaker 2: extradited back to Louisiana. You guys remember Freddie Wilhite? Freddie Wilhite?
- 1:42:16Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:42:16Speaker 2: So we played a clip of this guy before. A lot.
- 1:42:19Speaker 2: I mean, he reached his breaking point.
- 1:42:22Speaker 3: I don't remember this.
- 1:42:23Speaker 2: You know it. Something happened, and then he called 911
- 1:42:27Speaker 2: on himself. You remember this call. North Richland Hills, 911.
- 1:42:30Speaker 1: That's it.
- 1:42:32Speaker 2: Hello?
- 1:42:33Speaker 5: This is Freddie Wilhite.
- 1:42:35Speaker 2: How can I help you?
- 1:42:36Speaker 4: I shot my wife in the stomach with 38.
- 1:42:39Speaker 2: What address are you at?
- 1:42:40Speaker 1: 8432.
- 1:42:41Speaker 4: Is she still there?
- 1:42:44Speaker 5: Yeah, she's lying on the floor.
- 1:42:46Speaker 4: And what is your name?
- 1:42:47Speaker 7: Freddie Wilhite.
- 1:42:48Speaker 2: Open your ears, lady. I just told you.
- 1:42:51Speaker 3: What?
- 1:42:51Speaker 2: Freddie Wilhite.
- 1:42:53Speaker 11: Where's the gun at?
- 1:42:55Speaker 2: What? Where's the gun?
- 1:42:57Speaker 5: It's in the closet.
- 1:43:00Speaker 2: What is her name?
- 1:43:01Speaker 8: Donna.
- 1:43:03Speaker 12: Is there anybody else there with you?
- 1:43:04Speaker 2: When was the last time you heard someone named Donna?
- 1:43:06Speaker 5: It's been a while.
- 1:43:06Speaker 2: Donna's an old-timey name.
- 1:43:10Speaker 3: Do I know any Donnas?
- 1:43:12Speaker 5: I know one Donna.
- 1:43:13Speaker 2: You do?
- 1:43:13Speaker 5: Yeah, my mother-in-law.
- 1:43:15Speaker 2: How old is she? She's like in her 60s. See?
- 1:43:18Speaker 2: Don't know any Donnas. Bad day for this Donna.
- 1:43:20Speaker 1: No.
- 1:43:21Speaker 2: Okay. Why did he do this?
- 1:43:26Speaker 1: She enticed me and she would ridicule me.
- 1:43:31Speaker 10: Throughout my lifetime.
- 1:43:33Speaker 2: Okay, and you're at 8432 Gifford? That's it, baby. Oh,
- 1:43:38Speaker 2: my God. He's shooting his shot with the 911 operator.
- 1:43:43Speaker 2: That's it, baby.
- 1:43:45Speaker 3: Oh, wow.
- 1:43:46Speaker 5: He is totally content with his choices.
- 1:43:48Speaker 2: See, and, you know, people, man, you're together for however
- 1:43:53Speaker 2: many years, and things just, like, you ever watch an
- 1:43:55Speaker 2: old couple bicker and argue?
- 1:43:58Speaker 3: All my parents do.
- 1:43:59Speaker 2: Right.
- 1:44:00Speaker 5: Right.
- 1:44:01Speaker 2: I see it so much now between, you know, my
- 1:44:04Speaker 2: dad and my stepmom. Yeah. My mom and my stepdad.
- 1:44:07Speaker 2: I think it just happens. They love each other. I
- 1:44:09Speaker 2: know they're good. Right. I think it's just what happens.
- 1:44:12Speaker 2: And it's over dumb stuff.
- 1:44:15Speaker 3: It's over the dumbest stuff. Any given conversation is, Oh, Gregory,
- 1:44:19Speaker 3: we were having dinner last Wednesday. No, it was Tuesday. Right.
- 1:44:23Speaker 2: Who cares?
- 1:44:24Speaker 5: Okay, I'm going to get somebody out there. Where in
- 1:44:26Speaker 5: the house are you right now? Well, I'm in the
- 1:44:29Speaker 5: dining room. I don't know if she's dead or not.
- 1:44:33Speaker 2: How long ago did this happen? A few minutes. Okay.
- 1:44:38Speaker 2: I'll see if she's alive. I'll go check.
- 1:44:42Speaker 12: Okay.
- 1:44:42Speaker 2: Oh, is that what I should do? Yeah, I'll go check.
- 1:44:47Speaker 2: Are you alive or are you dead? That's how he checked. Wow.
- 1:44:50Speaker 5: If she says dead, that means she's dead.
- 1:44:54Speaker 4: Right.
- 1:44:54Speaker 6: Sir, I'm here.
- 1:45:01Speaker 5: I think she did.
- 1:45:02Speaker 4: Okay.
- 1:45:03Speaker 2: Is there anybody else in the house with you?
- 1:45:05Speaker 3: No.
- 1:45:05Speaker 1: Okay.
- 1:45:07Speaker 2: I'm peaceable.
- 1:45:08Speaker 11: It's okay.
- 1:45:08Speaker 2: I'm peaceable. I just murdered my wife, but I'm peaceable.
- 1:45:12Speaker 5: I'm good.
- 1:45:12Speaker 3: Come on in. I'm peaceable.
- 1:45:14Speaker 5: My hard times are over.
- 1:45:15Speaker 2: It was between me and her. No one else. Yeah,
- 1:45:18Speaker 2: we're good. Okay, sir. It's okay. I understand.
- 1:45:21Speaker 12: I've got help coming up there.
- 1:45:22Speaker 2: I just want to stay on the line with you
- 1:45:23Speaker 2: until they get there.
- 1:45:24Speaker 3: Okay, okay.
- 1:45:25Speaker 2: And then I'll go down.
- 1:45:28Speaker 5: I'm sorry?
- 1:45:29Speaker 12: I'll go down.
- 1:45:29Speaker 1: Okay.
- 1:45:31Speaker 3: Okay, you all right?
- 1:45:34Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 1:45:35Speaker 2: And that was it. They picked him up, rested, you know.
- 1:45:38Speaker 2: You all right?
- 1:45:38Speaker 3: All good.
- 1:45:39Speaker 2: Having dinner later? Three hots in the cot. So as
- 1:45:41Speaker 2: I hear stuff like this or, you know, whatever, I
- 1:45:45Speaker 2: tell my wife, like, hey, as annoyed as you may get, like,
- 1:45:49Speaker 2: don't kill me. You know? Just do that, Curtis. As
- 1:45:53Speaker 2: we grow older. Can we agree to just that? Like,
- 1:45:56Speaker 2: we just had our anniversary, our 18th anniversary. Oh, phew.
- 1:46:00Speaker 2: And it's like, well, as we go further down this
- 1:46:02Speaker 2: road together, babe, I know we can annoy the crap
- 1:46:05Speaker 2: out of each other, but just divorce me. Feel free
- 1:46:10Speaker 2: to just divorce me. You don't got to kill me.
- 1:46:14Speaker 2: Please don't spit at me. It gets to that point
- 1:46:18Speaker 2: where you feel like you're going to kick somebody in
- 1:46:20Speaker 2: the balls or start doing that kind of stuff because, man,
- 1:46:25Speaker 2: let's not let it escalate. OK, we can we can
- 1:46:29Speaker 2: live together and secretly and quietly hate each other if
- 1:46:32Speaker 2: we get to that point, you know, because at that
- 1:46:34Speaker 2: point you're so old that you don't even want to. Yeah.
- 1:46:37Speaker 2: You don't even have the energy to get divorced. But
- 1:46:40Speaker 2: let's not go the way of Freddie Wilhite.
- 1:46:42Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:46:42Speaker 2: Let's let's avoid that.
- 1:46:43Speaker 5: We shake on it.
- 1:46:44Speaker 2: Yeah. Eight, seven, seven, forty four. Woody, you can send
- 1:46:47Speaker 2: us a text over to two to ninety seven. Quick break.
- 1:46:49Speaker 2: More Woody shows next. Hang on. See the story about
- 1:47:03Speaker 2: this bear that walked into an arcade?
- 1:47:06Speaker 5: No.
- 1:47:07Speaker 2: This is, yeah, so bear, you know, oh man, people
- 1:47:10Speaker 2: in town spot a bear, but then the bear walked
- 1:47:12Speaker 2: right into the arcade.
- 1:47:14Speaker 7: Oh.
- 1:47:14Speaker 2: And they had to try to get this thing out
- 1:47:16Speaker 2: of there. Hey, don't go up there. Don't go up there. No, no, no, no, no, no, no.
- 1:47:24Speaker 7: Oh dear God. Bear!
- 1:47:27Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:47:29Speaker 1: Hey! Hey!
- 1:47:31Speaker 4: Ow!
- 1:47:32Speaker 2: Self-repulsing.
- 1:47:32Speaker 1: That bear's in the retro game.
- 1:47:34Speaker 7: Yep.
- 1:47:34Speaker 2: Oh, God.
- 1:47:35Speaker 3: I would freak out.
- 1:47:37Speaker 2: I don't think people are nearly scared enough of bears
- 1:47:40Speaker 2: as they should be.
- 1:47:41Speaker 5: Well, because they're fluffy and their ears are cute.
- 1:47:43Speaker 3: I mean, they're like number two to dogs.
- 1:47:45Speaker 5: Oh, yeah.
- 1:47:46Speaker 3: On the cuteness scale. They're so cute. But I've never
- 1:47:50Speaker 3: seen one in the wild.
- 1:47:51Speaker 2: Really?
- 1:47:52Speaker 3: I've seen them at the zoo. Sure. I've never seen
- 1:47:55Speaker 3: a bear out in the world.
- 1:47:55Speaker 2: I don't think I have either. I mean, not up
- 1:47:56Speaker 2: close where I was in fear.
- 1:47:58Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:47:59Speaker 2: I mean, I've seen one. I think it was in
- 1:48:00Speaker 2: a car, you know, driving through a national park. Saw one.
- 1:48:05Speaker 2: Didn't stop, get out, go take a selfie with it.
- 1:48:08Speaker 2: I've seen them, like, camping and stuff.
- 1:48:09Speaker 1: Really?
- 1:48:10Speaker 2: Oh, dude, I saw a video yesterday. Don't know where
- 1:48:13Speaker 2: it was. I forget.
- 1:48:15Speaker 3: Not important.
- 1:48:16Speaker 2: Sharks just mutilated this seal. Oh, no. Oh, no. It
- 1:48:22Speaker 2: looked like a scene in Jaws because the water just
- 1:48:25Speaker 2: turned red.
- 1:48:27Speaker 1: Brutal.
- 1:48:27Speaker 2: So watching animals and stuff, man, I mean, it is
- 1:48:31Speaker 2: pretty incredible.
- 1:48:32Speaker 1: It is.
- 1:48:33Speaker 2: Sheer strength. Like, it's not like they're influenced by social media.
- 1:48:38Speaker 2: They're just doing it because that's what they do. Sharks shark.
- 1:48:41Speaker 2: Sharks gonna shark. You know? Bears just walking through town.
- 1:48:44Speaker 2: He doesn't know that's an arcade. Doesn't care.
- 1:48:46Speaker 3: It's a structure.
- 1:48:48Speaker 2: You know, raccoons getting in the stuff, which... We're probably
- 1:48:53Speaker 2: due for another round of raccoon news here.
- 1:48:55Speaker 5: Yes, please.
- 1:48:56Speaker 3: Shortly. Way overdue.
- 1:48:58Speaker 2: This woman in New York, she walked out into her backyard.
- 1:49:01Speaker 2: She suddenly fell eight feet underground. What? It was a
- 1:49:04Speaker 2: narrow sinkhole. And it was so tight, man. She was
- 1:49:08Speaker 2: struggling to breathe. I do have a picture.
- 1:49:10Speaker 5: Oh, God.
- 1:49:11Speaker 2: Just walk out in the yard having a great day.
- 1:49:13Speaker 3: Look at this.
- 1:49:14Speaker 5: Oh, my God.
- 1:49:15Speaker 2: That's a nightmare.
- 1:49:16Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 1:49:17Speaker 2: It just... Literal nightmare.
- 1:49:18Speaker 3: That is the size of a headstone at a grave.
- 1:49:20Speaker 2: Who just had a... A sinkhole opened up in front
- 1:49:23Speaker 2: of their house, their, you know, beach house. Oh, that was,
- 1:49:26Speaker 2: what's his name?
- 1:49:27Speaker 3: Nicholas Cage.
- 1:49:28Speaker 2: Nicholas Cage.
- 1:49:28Speaker 3: Yeah. Yeah. House is collapsing.
- 1:49:30Speaker 2: My dad had at the end of his driveway.
- 1:49:32Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:49:32Speaker 2: Because there's the main road that goes in front of
- 1:49:34Speaker 2: his house. And then there was a, you know, driveway
- 1:49:37Speaker 2: that goes, you know, pretty long driveway. But like right
- 1:49:41Speaker 2: by where the mailbox is, man, he's walking by. He's like,
- 1:49:44Speaker 2: it's about the width of maybe like a softball, a
- 1:49:46Speaker 2: diameter of a softball.
- 1:49:48Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 1:49:49Speaker 2: He's like, what the hell? So he tries kicking some
- 1:49:51Speaker 2: rock over there to, you know, nope, just disappears. And
- 1:49:55Speaker 2: then he realizes, oh, that's a sinkhole. That's a sinkhole.
- 1:49:58Speaker 5: Oh my God.
- 1:49:59Speaker 2: The county had to come out and do a whole thing.
- 1:50:02Speaker 2: And yeah, figured it hasn't come back. So how do
- 1:50:04Speaker 2: they work? That's the earth swallowing you, dude. Yeah, for real.
- 1:50:07Speaker 2: Is there just a giant hole under the crust? So
- 1:50:12Speaker 2: they think in this case with this woman that it
- 1:50:15Speaker 2: might've been like an old well that That was never
- 1:50:17Speaker 2: properly covered.
- 1:50:18Speaker 5: So he just kicked some grass over it?
- 1:50:21Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:50:21Speaker 3: She's lucky she got found. How would you even get rescued?
- 1:50:25Speaker 2: She managed to yell loud enough. Neighbors heard her. And
- 1:50:28Speaker 2: then they called 911. Here's her. Just like walking.
- 1:50:31Speaker 5: The ground just went. And I was in a hole.
- 1:50:37Speaker 8: Help! Help!
- 1:50:38Speaker 2: Are you up there?
- 1:50:38Speaker 5: I couldn't breathe well because I was gasping and scared
- 1:50:40Speaker 5: and crying.
- 1:50:41Speaker 2: Oh, my gosh.
- 1:50:47Speaker 5: Firemen cops a special unit cops ambulance mts they were wonderful.
- 1:50:52Speaker 2: Yeah and to make matters worse this was on her
- 1:50:56Speaker 2: birthday this interview with the news she's talking about how
- 1:51:01Speaker 2: like all the rescue workers got her out of there
- 1:51:03Speaker 2: and started singing her.
- 1:51:04Speaker 9: Happy birthday I mean, if it was a well, I
- 1:51:08Speaker 9: hope she made a wish before she got out, you know?
- 1:51:10Speaker 2: Well, baby Jessica back in the 80s.
- 1:51:12Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:51:12Speaker 2: There was a baby.
- 1:51:12Speaker 3: That's your girl.
- 1:51:13Speaker 2: It was Texas, right?
- 1:51:14Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 1:51:14Speaker 2: She was wandering around and fell down another really narrow well,
- 1:51:19Speaker 2: stuck down there. They had to go in and rescue her.
- 1:51:22Speaker 2: Your pen pal.
- 1:51:22Speaker 3: She was in there for it. Two days, something like that?
- 1:51:24Speaker 7: I was a.
- 1:51:24Speaker 2: Child when that happened. I was taken by that story.
- 1:51:27Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:51:27Speaker 3: Traumatized.
- 1:51:29Speaker 2: Didn't she end up growing up to be some kind of... Redneck,
- 1:51:33Speaker 2: white trash kind of.
- 1:51:34Speaker 3: Wasn't she in.
- 1:51:34Speaker 2: Trouble for something?
- 1:51:35Speaker 3: She got arrested recently. Yeah.
- 1:51:37Speaker 2: Was she like, I don't know. I think if I
