Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: Wait a second, who's calling me? They didn't text first.
- 0:02Speaker 1: It's one more thing, Armstrong and Getty.
- 0:06Speaker 2: One more thing.
- 0:09Speaker 1: So we've got a list out from some organization on
- 0:12Speaker 1: things that cause anxiety and people in the modern world.
- 0:15Speaker 1: We'll get to that coming up in just a little bit.
- 0:18Speaker 1: Before that, we had a couple of funny things happened
- 0:21Speaker 1: during the show today we thought might be worth repeating.
- 0:23Speaker 1: And then one maybe you haven't heard unless you've been
- 0:26Speaker 1: a really long time listener to the Armstrong Ingetty Show. First,
- 0:31Speaker 1: Michael's story of his mom ordering at In and Out.
- 0:35Speaker 3: Yeah, In and Out has a secret menu. First of all,
- 0:39Speaker 3: In and Out is a popular burger chain. I'm assuming
- 0:41Speaker 3: most people have been there.
- 0:42Speaker 1: I don't like the fact that their menu is incredibly basic.
- 0:45Speaker 1: When you walk in or you go to the drive through,
- 0:46Speaker 1: it's just cheeseburger, double cheeseburger, fries, milkshake. That's about it.
- 0:52Speaker 1: I mean, there is not much more.
- 0:54Speaker 3: Well, I found out there's a secret menu that spices
- 0:57Speaker 3: things up, and apparently you can get your fries where
- 0:59Speaker 3: they take the sauce from the burgers and they'll put
- 1:02Speaker 3: it over the fry. So, yeah, you have sauce and
- 1:04Speaker 3: fries together.
- 1:05Speaker 1: That's what my son likes, and that's animal style. And
- 1:08Speaker 1: that's the key here.
- 1:11Speaker 3: Instead of animal style, my mom ordered that she for
- 1:14Speaker 3: the first time, and she called it doggie style.
- 1:17Speaker 1: I like my doggie style.
- 1:19Speaker 3: And you have to know that my mom is very sweet.
- 1:24Speaker 3: And yeah, I would never say anything like that on purpose.
- 1:27Speaker 4: He's not to discuss sex positions with fast Foot.
- 1:30Speaker 1: Now, is that what you're saying?
- 1:32Speaker 5: Yes, man, this isn't in and out yes, hello?
- 1:37Speaker 4: Or is she just a huge Snoop dogg fan. That
- 1:40Speaker 4: was debut.
- 1:42Speaker 3: You could hear the kid laughing in the back of
- 1:44Speaker 3: my God, I would have died.
- 1:46Speaker 1: I would have to say, hey, this lady just said
- 1:49Speaker 1: she wants her fries doggies style.
- 1:51Speaker 5: Oh yeah, that story was on repeat for a couple
- 1:53Speaker 5: of days.
- 1:53Speaker 4: Oh yeah, he's telling it today. Yeah, i'd probably ware
- 1:58Speaker 4: meeting strangers on.
- 1:59Speaker 1: A bus he tells him that story. Oh my god,
- 2:01Speaker 1: that's good. And what's funny is that it's genetic obviously,
- 2:05Speaker 1: because Michael has this story that he told us many,
- 2:07Speaker 1: many years ago. Yeah, this is Katie.
- 2:10Speaker 3: This is a long time ago to so you know,
- 2:11Speaker 3: but I was about twenty three years old, maybe maybe
- 2:14Speaker 3: a little older twenty five. Okay, I was at a
- 2:17Speaker 3: bank and I was getting my before direct deposits, so
- 2:20Speaker 3: i'd have to take it in and get it cashed.
- 2:23Speaker 3: And so there's a beautiful woman at the as a
- 2:26Speaker 3: bank teller, and she's got large breast, and she's bending
- 2:32Speaker 3: down to the you know, get the dollar bills out
- 2:34Speaker 3: of the out of the drawer, and you could pretty
- 2:37Speaker 3: much see just about everything, if you know what I'm saying,
- 2:40Speaker 3: and well.
- 2:42Speaker 5: Everything but the nip.
- 2:45Speaker 1: Exactly. Abn, that's funny, Katie.
- 2:51Speaker 3: So she's leaning over and she looks up and smiles.
- 2:54Speaker 3: She goes, would you like big bills for your check?
- 2:56Speaker 3: And I said, yes, big boobs would be fine.
- 2:58Speaker 5: Oh Michael, she set you up for that.
- 3:01Speaker 1: No, I wouldn't be coming on. I would not have
- 3:04Speaker 1: said fine.
- 3:08Speaker 3: And I was just horrified. And she handed me that
- 3:10Speaker 3: money and I just walked out. I didn't even know
- 3:12Speaker 3: if it was a correct amount. I got to my car.
- 3:14Speaker 3: I said, you know, thank god, it's the right amount.
- 3:17Speaker 1: Horrified too. So this is a good question for you
- 3:19Speaker 1: as a lady. How aware are you as a woman
- 3:23Speaker 1: when you're bent over and your shirt is hanging down
- 3:26Speaker 1: to her like a fight glance, or I got to
- 3:27Speaker 1: look away really hard, or I'm staring right at your breasts.
- 3:31Speaker 1: You know what's happening.
- 3:33Speaker 5: Without a doubt, and you know, you know when your
- 3:35Speaker 5: shirt is providing just a little bit of a peek,
- 3:38Speaker 5: you're very super aware. Yeah, yep, that's happened to me
- 3:42Speaker 5: yesterday at the gym.
- 3:44Speaker 1: But but you weren't doing it on purpose. It just happened.
- 3:46Speaker 5: No, we we were We've been talking about planking. We
- 3:49Speaker 5: were planking, and I wasn't paying attention. I looked at
- 3:51Speaker 5: I was like, WHOA given a show?
- 3:53Speaker 1: Yeah, you know it happens.
- 3:55Speaker 4: Well, what are you gonna do? Or a turtleneck? You know,
- 3:57Speaker 4: when you're planking, that's hard, hard to prevent.
- 4:00Speaker 1: The keepers agree with the Taliban, you got to keep
- 4:03Speaker 1: these things covered up.
- 4:04Speaker 5: Yeah, but it was it was just you know, that's
- 4:08Speaker 5: an example of how aware you know. I'm at the gym.
- 4:10Speaker 5: I know nobody's looking at me in that exactly.
- 4:12Speaker 1: But you know, as a guy, that's one of the
- 4:15Speaker 1: great I'm gonna say, unfair, but uncomfortable, unfair something things
- 4:21Speaker 1: that go on in society. Women who you know, like
- 4:27Speaker 1: dress provocatively or that situation there knowingly, and then you're
- 4:33Speaker 1: like a pervo if you if you get caught looking
- 4:36Speaker 1: in that direction. I always look away because I don't
- 4:39Speaker 1: want to get caught looking that way at that direction.
- 4:41Speaker 1: But they go, oh, Cable'll get over there. But then
- 4:44Speaker 1: you're well, then why are you doing that?
- 4:47Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 4:48Speaker 5: There's the only reason to dress that way is to
- 4:50Speaker 5: get the looks. That's the whole one.
- 4:52Speaker 1: You only want to looks from some people. Is that
- 4:54Speaker 1: the deal?
- 4:56Speaker 5: Uh? No, no, because every woman wants to feel hot
- 5:00Speaker 5: at all times when they're dressed like that, and it's
- 5:04Speaker 5: and you know, it's there's a fine line to cross,
- 5:07Speaker 5: but it is flattering when you know that guys are
- 5:10Speaker 5: looking at you.
- 5:11Speaker 4: That's why I go into a meeting. I'll just say, hey,
- 5:13Speaker 4: nice tits, just to clear the air because then we
- 5:16Speaker 4: can do business.
- 5:17Speaker 5: Well, you're so clear that you have it on a shirt,
- 5:19Speaker 5: it's just as nice rack.
- 5:21Speaker 4: Well that's that was a business that sold racks.
- 5:25Speaker 3: Now see in my case, she was literally talking to
- 5:28Speaker 3: me like in that position.
- 5:30Speaker 5: So yeah, but she knew what shirt she put on
- 5:33Speaker 5: that morning, Michael. Is what I'm saying.
- 5:36Speaker 4: She was using her womanly whiles to seduce you, but
- 5:39Speaker 4: you're too innocent and pure of heart and didn't take
- 5:42Speaker 4: the baint.
- 5:43Speaker 1: Big boobs will be fine. That's a good again, it's genetic.
- 5:48Speaker 5: I love that Michael glitched out over over some cleavage.
- 5:52Speaker 1: Right dang? Okay, So this is a list of the
- 5:58Speaker 1: ten smallest things that cause stress. Man, A very very
- 6:05Speaker 1: long list, and this was your top ten small things
- 6:07Speaker 1: that cause you stress. I guess I'll work from the
- 6:10Speaker 1: bottom to the I'll start at the top bottom.
- 6:13Speaker 5: Dress me out.
- 6:15Speaker 1: Phone notifications going off during a meeting fifteen percent. Yeah,
- 6:18Speaker 1: that rarely happens with me. I'm pretty disciplined about making
- 6:22Speaker 1: sure my phone's off, but that stresses me out. I
- 6:24Speaker 1: don't want to be interrupts meeting. Guy, Sure all people do.
- 6:30Speaker 4: Does this happen everybody? I have a number of people
- 6:33Speaker 4: who will say, hey, I'm sorry to text you so
- 6:36Speaker 4: early or so late or whatever I was telling them.
- 6:39Speaker 4: I have do not disturb on or sleep mode? Doesn't everybody?
- 6:44Speaker 1: I don't I have. I don't even know how to
- 6:47Speaker 1: turn that on. Oh my god, you're killing if I've
- 6:50Speaker 1: never used it in my life, when would I use it.
- 6:53Speaker 4: All the time every day when you're sleeping?
- 6:56Speaker 1: I don't know. I have certainly sleep through the ding,
- 7:00Speaker 1: so it doesn't matter to man. Oh wow, and I
- 7:02Speaker 1: sleep alone, which is sad but makes it easier.
- 7:06Speaker 4: Yeah, that's wild. Yeah, I'm constantly changing the status to
- 7:11Speaker 4: you know, stay focused, and because I I don't want
- 7:14Speaker 4: my phone to you know.
- 7:15Speaker 1: What it is, he's me around by the nose, you
- 7:17Speaker 1: know what it is. I'm not trying to come off
- 7:19Speaker 1: as extra pathetic, but I get very few texts per day.
- 7:22Speaker 5: Oh.
- 7:22Speaker 1: I don't have much of a social network, so I
- 7:25Speaker 1: really get very very few texts, might get three texts
- 7:27Speaker 1: a day. Mmmm, So makes it less likely that it's
- 7:31Speaker 1: going to be disturbing. I mean that pretty much explains
- 7:33Speaker 1: why I don't even know how to turn that on.
- 7:36Speaker 1: Do not disturb.
- 7:38Speaker 5: Yeah, I have do not disturb, but I have certain
- 7:40Speaker 5: contacts that can still get through it.
- 7:42Speaker 4: Well, yeah, Jack, you might be fascinated to hear this.
- 7:45Speaker 4: If you have do not disturb on and somebody on
- 7:48Speaker 4: your favorites list, which would be you know, all my
- 7:50Speaker 4: kids and Judy. Obviously, if they call you twice, it
- 7:55Speaker 4: busts through. It realizes Okay, this is an emergency, so
- 7:59Speaker 4: you just call your hang out up. You call again,
- 8:00Speaker 4: and your phone rings and you can wake somebody up
- 8:03Speaker 4: or whatever.
- 8:03Speaker 1: Interesting text message alerts in general cause people anxiety. Usually
- 8:11Speaker 1: it's like a shot of kind of excitement, excitement anxiety.
- 8:16Speaker 1: Maybe that's where you gotta start define anxiety. And I
- 8:18Speaker 1: have trouble with that a little bit myself, since I
- 8:20Speaker 1: got a one kid that deals with anxiety and takes medication.
- 8:23Speaker 4: Yeah, and there's but that's that's an all purpose term
- 8:26Speaker 4: that's used in a bunch of different ways. That's I
- 8:28Speaker 4: knew going into this that this would come up. I mean,
- 8:31Speaker 4: there's anxiety, and it's generally used sense nervousness. Then there's
- 8:37Speaker 4: anxiety disorders and anxiety attacks.
- 8:40Speaker 1: I usually think think of anxiety as a negative though
- 8:43Speaker 1: it's an unpleasant feeling, whereas excitement isn't a positive, right,
- 8:47Speaker 1: Anxiety is like dread. I don't have anxiety for whatever reason.
- 8:50Speaker 1: It might be my lack I should care more and
- 8:52Speaker 1: I don't care enough, so that lowered that. That's like
- 8:55Speaker 1: my older son who's just so far down the Spacoli
- 8:58Speaker 1: road on that just like you know, you know what,
- 9:00Speaker 1: if you don't care, it's really easy. That's what he
- 9:02Speaker 1: says about practically.
- 9:03Speaker 4: Everything the Woody Harrelson effect.
- 9:06Speaker 1: Yeah, he is not anxious. He's the least anxious person around.
- 9:09Speaker 2: Wow.
- 9:10Speaker 4: Yeah, I don't know, as you're born with it. My
- 9:12Speaker 4: first two kids came a year apart. One utterly fearless,
- 9:17Speaker 4: plunge down slides, swinging on bars that were so high
- 9:22Speaker 4: that he gave me a heart attack. The kid number
- 9:24Speaker 4: two very cautious, always very cautious from day.
- 9:27Speaker 1: One, and just on the positivity happiness gene. This is
- 9:30Speaker 1: going to sidetrack us. But I was talking to our
- 9:33Speaker 1: most recent sitter who's leaving. Got our first job out
- 9:36Speaker 1: of college. She's twenty two. She's driving to Colorado starting
- 9:39Speaker 1: a new job. Very very cool. I'm very excited for her.
- 9:43Speaker 1: Graduated with a very fancy degree. She grew up in
- 9:47Speaker 1: foster homes her whole life. Oh wow, many of them horrific.
- 9:52Speaker 1: She spent some times went in between foster homes where
- 9:55Speaker 1: she was just alone in like the big giant holding
- 9:58Speaker 1: pen for foster kids. She was eleven years old. She
- 10:02Speaker 1: was in by herself in one of these places with
- 10:04Speaker 1: all kinds of abusive kids, just on her own until
- 10:07Speaker 1: a family came up on the list. I mean, just
- 10:09Speaker 1: an amazing story. Walks around with a smile on her
- 10:11Speaker 1: face all the time. She's one of those perma smile people,
- 10:15Speaker 1: just has a positive attitude. And I said, that's interesting
- 10:19Speaker 1: because she's telling me more about it yesterday. Is helping
- 10:21Speaker 1: her take stuff to the dumb She said, yeah, I
- 10:23Speaker 1: don't know what are you gonna do about it? But
- 10:25Speaker 1: you know, you're just you know, I'm not plenty of
- 10:27Speaker 1: other people who had pretty good lives who were grimacing
- 10:30Speaker 1: all the time. So how much of that is genetic
- 10:32Speaker 1: and how much of that is choice? They need to
- 10:34Speaker 1: figure that out. I would like to know how much
- 10:36Speaker 1: myself I can control, or so they can tell me
- 10:38Speaker 1: there's nothing you can do about that. You're like eighty
- 10:40Speaker 1: percent grimace. So he's just there's nothing, there's nothing, there's
- 10:44Speaker 1: no change in that.
- 10:45Speaker 4: Yeah, I've always believed that that sort of inborn thing
- 10:47Speaker 4: you can maybe and this is just a spitball number,
- 10:50Speaker 4: but you can maybe change it twenty percent. You can
- 10:53Speaker 4: remind yourself constantly, you know, gratitude or remember your blessings,
- 10:58Speaker 4: that sort of thing. I often joke that I came
- 11:01Speaker 4: out of the womb annoyed. You can alter that sum,
- 11:06Speaker 4: but you're not gonna change your makeup, your emotional makeup.
- 11:10Speaker 1: She did. I did say, it's goin to bother you
- 11:12Speaker 1: sometimes when like people have had, you know, much easier
- 11:15Speaker 1: lives than you complain. She said, oh yeah, yeah, it
- 11:18Speaker 1: makes me crazy when somebody's you know, their parents won't
- 11:21Speaker 1: get them the newest iPhone. When she had foster parents
- 11:24Speaker 1: who wouldn't feed her as punishment for not doing the laundry,
- 11:27Speaker 1: write or something, Good Lord, she had one foster parent
- 11:31Speaker 1: group take her in. She actually asked the woman because
- 11:35Speaker 1: she thought this woman was a nice person. She knew
- 11:37Speaker 1: her somehow. I forget it was like a teacher or
- 11:39Speaker 1: neighbor or something, but she knew this woman and ask,
- 11:41Speaker 1: you know, they're going to send me out to the
- 11:43Speaker 1: foster home. Would you be willing to take me in?
- 11:45Speaker 1: And that a woman said yeah, And she thought it
- 11:47Speaker 1: was so great. Bake basically took her in as a
- 11:49Speaker 1: slave to work and wouldn't feed her if she didn't
- 11:52Speaker 1: do all the work that was expected to be done.
- 11:55Speaker 1: Good Lord, and that unbelievable, Wow awful. Yeah, this girl
- 11:59Speaker 1: turned out fantastic.
- 12:01Speaker 4: Yeah, wow, that's that's a wonderful story.
- 12:04Speaker 1: I know I thought about having her on the air.
- 12:05Speaker 1: I mean, every one of her stories was so compelling.
- 12:08Speaker 4: Wow.
- 12:09Speaker 1: And I talked to her about how we were well
- 12:11Speaker 1: aware of the statistics, and she started rattling off the
- 12:13Speaker 1: statistics of foster kids and the likelihood you end up
- 12:16Speaker 1: in prison or pregnant blah blah blah blah blah. Can
- 12:21Speaker 1: I get back to anxiety at thisappoint or Yeah, we
- 12:23Speaker 1: want to.
- 12:23Speaker 4: Talk to her about that. You know, that's been a
- 12:25Speaker 4: cause we've both supported for a long time. I'd love
- 12:27Speaker 4: to get to double down on that, honestly.
- 12:29Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 12:32Speaker 4: But anyway, she's sunshiny and has kind of an internal
- 12:35Speaker 4: optimism that's that's amazing and not anxious.
- 12:38Speaker 1: Okay, so now we've worked our ways up to our
- 12:40Speaker 1: way up to twenty one percent. My alarm clock, alarm,
- 12:43Speaker 1: that makes you anxious? Okay, yeah it does, Katie.
- 12:47Speaker 5: Uh the night before Yeah, honestly, yeah, I'll go I
- 12:53Speaker 5: probably checked my phone like three times a night.
- 12:55Speaker 1: Before I go to That's the OCD thing, right, N
- 12:59Speaker 1: I don't.
- 13:00Speaker 5: I think it's just because I've forgotten to set it
- 13:02Speaker 5: before and then all, you know, all hell breaks loose.
- 13:05Speaker 1: So uh, someone near me, heavy breathing, Yes.
- 13:11Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, that drives me nuts.
- 13:14Speaker 4: Oh that doesn't surprise me a bit, knowing you as
- 13:18Speaker 4: I do that you've got a bit of the missophonia.
- 13:20Speaker 5: Oh big time. Oh my god, my poor husband Drew
- 13:23Speaker 5: on his birthday. I was driving him to dinner and
- 13:26Speaker 5: he had he had those nose whistles, you know, when
- 13:28Speaker 5: somebody's like God, I was doing everything in my power, like,
- 13:34Speaker 5: you know, just pick pick your battles. He can't control this,
- 13:37Speaker 5: not out of you deal. And finally I just just went,
- 13:40Speaker 5: are you whistling a tune with your nozzle?
- 13:45Speaker 4: Stops whistling through your nose or I will murder you.
- 13:50Speaker 1: Hey, what's up? Nose whistle? Yeah?
- 13:53Speaker 4: God, you are so my daughter's sister from another mother?
- 13:57Speaker 4: That is?
- 13:58Speaker 1: That is a good one.
- 14:00Speaker 4: Alternate Papa, any.
- 14:01Speaker 1: Phone calls when I'm not expecting, when a third of
- 14:04Speaker 1: people get anxious for that, I don't. But maybe it's
- 14:07Speaker 1: because I grew up before you ever knew who was
- 14:09Speaker 1: calling you.
- 14:10Speaker 4: Yeah, I got to tell you. I have one friend
- 14:12Speaker 4: in particular, who is I will call you if I
- 14:14Speaker 4: have a question guy, And he's an older guy than me.
- 14:20Speaker 4: And the first few times it was weird, like, why
- 14:25Speaker 4: didn't you just text me what's going on here? But
- 14:28Speaker 4: now I'm back to old school Joe. I'm like, oh,
- 14:31Speaker 4: look it is, and I pick up the phone then
- 14:33Speaker 4: talk to him, which is interesting, as you've often pointed
- 14:37Speaker 4: out Jack kids who've never lived that life at all.
- 14:43Speaker 4: They can't get back to being comfortable with something they've
- 14:47Speaker 4: never been comfortable with.
- 14:49Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't know. I mean I think we text
- 14:52Speaker 1: too much, no call enough. But if you just have
- 14:54Speaker 1: like a one word answer sort of question for me,
- 14:57Speaker 1: please text.
- 14:59Speaker 5: Oh, I'm so calling you with one word and.
- 15:01Speaker 1: What time am I supposed to be there? Seven o'clock
- 15:03Speaker 1: is a text, not a call. Maybe if you weren't
- 15:08Speaker 1: so hostile, you get more texts. Perhaps Listening to someone
- 15:13Speaker 1: chew loudly, it's a different than breathe loudly forty percent
- 15:17Speaker 1: per chewing will make me uh, I will pluck your
- 15:20Speaker 1: eyes out and feed them to you. I can't handle
- 15:23Speaker 1: people chewing, and.
- 15:24Speaker 5: Then I'll get mad at you for loudly chewing on
- 15:26Speaker 5: your eyeballs.
- 15:26Speaker 4: I leave you're going to feed me eyeballs. They sound
- 15:29Speaker 4: chewing to me.
- 15:30Speaker 1: I realize it's my problem, not yours. I leave the room.
- 15:32Speaker 1: If somebody's chewing loudly, and I've been asked before, where'd
- 15:34Speaker 1: you go? I I just had to leave because I
- 15:36Speaker 1: can't listen to your chew. Not your fault, it just
- 15:38Speaker 1: it makes me insane. When the Wi fi is lagging
- 15:44Speaker 1: or cuts out, that kind of makes me. I don't
- 15:47Speaker 1: know why that bothers me trying to watch a video
- 15:49Speaker 1: or something. It just keeps locking up. Yeah.
- 15:54Speaker 4: If I didn't depend on it for work, I think
- 15:55Speaker 4: I would probably just grab a book or go play
- 15:58Speaker 4: golf or something.
- 15:59Speaker 1: Grab a book. Aren't you a saint?
- 16:02Speaker 4: Wow? Okay, says your eyeball. Sure.
- 16:05Speaker 1: Oh h People talking to me when I want silence, well,
- 16:10Speaker 1: oh yeah, that's always so that doesn't work. My youngest
- 16:17Speaker 1: is really good at just telling me, Dad, I would
- 16:19Speaker 1: love it if you left the room and I would
- 16:20Speaker 1: just got to see her by myself.
- 16:22Speaker 4: Okay, good communication, a little alone time recharge.
- 16:27Speaker 5: These are more annoyances than an anxieties.
- 16:29Speaker 1: I agree, That's why I have trouble. Let's define anxiety here.
- 16:33Speaker 1: A knock on the front door when I'm prepared for guests,
- 16:36Speaker 1: when I'm not preparing prepared for guests, A knock on
- 16:38Speaker 1: the front door.
- 16:40Speaker 4: Yeah, the unannounced arrival at my door. How often is
- 16:45Speaker 4: it ever positive? When it is, it's.
- 16:47Speaker 1: Always oh okay, yeah, you know your neighbors said, we
- 16:51Speaker 1: have leftover pie or whatever it is. But it's almost
- 16:55Speaker 1: never left over pie. It's somebody trying to sell me something.
- 16:58Speaker 5: Yeah, or Amazon.
- 17:00Speaker 3: They'll knock on the door sometimes.
- 17:02Speaker 1: Yeah, that's weird. How random that is? Like one out
- 17:05Speaker 1: of a hundred deliveries they knock on the door, and
- 17:07Speaker 1: I think, why this one? Why?
- 17:08Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 17:09Speaker 1: All the other ones you just drop it at my
- 17:10Speaker 1: front door. And I always say to the people trying
- 17:14Speaker 1: to sell me stuff, if I want to buy this,
- 17:16Speaker 1: I know where to find it. Can you take me
- 17:18Speaker 1: off whatever list I am on? You ass hat? I
- 17:22Speaker 1: say at the end as they walk away under my breath. Nice.
- 17:25Speaker 2: Uh.
- 17:25Speaker 1: And then finally when I see someone that I don't
- 17:28Speaker 1: want to talk to about half of people.
- 17:33Speaker 5: Saw one of my mom's friends the other day, and
- 17:35Speaker 5: I ducked into the wine aisle like a dumb ass
- 17:38Speaker 5: because that's the first place she'd got.
- 17:41Speaker 1: A bit of a betty and you know she's coming
- 17:43Speaker 1: to the wine Now.
- 17:44Speaker 5: She comes around the corner, kiddy, I'm like, shit.
- 17:47Speaker 1: Oh, sorry, that's funny. I don't have much of that
- 17:52Speaker 1: when I see some maybe at work at work sometimes
- 17:55Speaker 1: in my real life, I don't know.
- 17:56Speaker 5: Probably looked like I was trying to steal something with
- 17:58Speaker 5: the way that I was like kind of looking around
- 18:00Speaker 5: trying to find her. It was was that was awkward
- 18:02Speaker 5: of me?
- 18:02Speaker 1: Oh no, here comes How often does that happen to you?
- 18:05Speaker 4: Joe my now and again? And it's it's people who
- 18:10Speaker 4: I know who are very very chatty.
- 18:13Speaker 1: Yeah that I.
- 18:15Speaker 4: Think, Oh oh no, oh no, oh no, we're walking
- 18:18Speaker 4: our dogs in the same direction. Oh no, But I
- 18:22Speaker 4: just I'm not chatty.
- 18:24Speaker 5: That's when you put your phone up to your ear,
- 18:26Speaker 5: pretend you're talking into it, and then you just kind
- 18:28Speaker 5: of give them the hey, how's it going.
- 18:30Speaker 1: That's pretty good? And that's pretty good, Michael.
- 18:33Speaker 3: Women do that to me all the time.
- 18:37Speaker 4: Yeah, I am compulsively honest. I know that sounds like
- 18:43Speaker 4: self congratulations.
- 18:45Speaker 1: It. I have a hard time doing stuff like I
- 18:48Speaker 1: don't think I never have, and I don't think I
- 18:50Speaker 1: could either for some reason. It's weird. I don't know.
- 18:52Speaker 1: I just don't think I could pretend to be on
- 18:53Speaker 1: a phone call. Yeah. I have a couple of times,
- 18:57Speaker 1: but yeah, I don't like it final story on that,
- 19:00Speaker 1: the whole thing, chatty people. I was at the car
- 19:02Speaker 1: show the other day with my son. I told him,
- 19:04Speaker 1: I said, before I got there, I said, don't let
- 19:06Speaker 1: me forget to ask somebody there how do they clean windshields?
- 19:09Speaker 1: Because it's been driving me crazy. You get a new car,
- 19:12Speaker 1: the windshield is spotless, and it's never that way again.
- 19:15Speaker 1: It's never as clean again as it is when you
- 19:17Speaker 1: bought it. And I wonder what do people do to
- 19:20Speaker 1: clean the inside and outside of the windshield to make
- 19:22Speaker 1: it clean? And I thought, some of these people that
- 19:24Speaker 1: show cars are going to have the product. But we're
- 19:27Speaker 1: getting toward the end of the show. It's hot. I
- 19:28Speaker 1: want to go home. And I said, I got to
- 19:30Speaker 1: pick a guy who looks like he's not going to
- 19:32Speaker 1: talk to me for half an hour about this. No,
- 19:35Speaker 1: I ask him, because that's how what I want. He said,
- 19:37Speaker 1: pick a young person. You pick anybody under twenty five.
- 19:40Speaker 1: They're going to be worried that you're the guy who
- 19:42Speaker 1: wants to talk about this for fifteen minutes. They're just
- 19:44Speaker 1: going to tell you the product and put their earpiece
- 19:46Speaker 1: back in. And he was right, ask you good advice. Yeah,
- 19:50Speaker 1: young people, don't want to talk, old guy. He's got
- 19:53Speaker 1: all day. He got nothing better to talk about.
- 19:56Speaker 5: That.
- 19:56Speaker 1: How you clean weed shields?
- 19:57Speaker 2: I want to tell you it's important it keeps his
- 20:00Speaker 2: wind setled clean because in nineteen fifty GM switched to
- 20:04Speaker 2: a maalchemated glass. Switch was an inferior glass to the
- 20:08Speaker 2: previous one.
- 20:09Speaker 1: And of course we all used wind max in the seventies,
- 20:13Speaker 1: but they stopped making that thanks to Carter. So I
- 20:15Speaker 1: swid Yeah, okay, just because of that DDT. There's too
- 20:19Speaker 1: many birds, says Hi. So they're clean. Clean one shoe
- 20:24Speaker 1: and that's that.
- 20:25Speaker 3: Mose Days used to remember the street race. You bang
- 20:27Speaker 3: them on the curve, get him rusty, Put them in
- 20:29Speaker 3: a rain barrel, get him rusty.
- 20:34Speaker 4: Real quick.
- 20:34Speaker 3: Here, guys, Katie has something for me, The In and
- 20:38Speaker 3: Out Secret Menu.
- 20:39Speaker 5: Right, I do have the In and Out Secret Menu.
- 20:42Speaker 5: Did you want to know some of the particular just
- 20:45Speaker 5: a few items. Okay, the flying Dutchman, the double cheeseburger,
- 20:49Speaker 5: put her.
- 20:50Speaker 1: Put her ankles on your shoulders. Hey, hang on, no,
- 20:53Speaker 1: you see what you just.
- 20:54Speaker 5: Went straight there?
- 20:56Speaker 4: Uh?
- 20:57Speaker 5: What was I saying?
- 20:58Speaker 1: Oh?
- 20:58Speaker 5: Yeah, flying Dutchman, double cheeseburger instead of the bun grilled onions.
- 21:04Speaker 5: They keep the onions in the full circle and they
- 21:07Speaker 5: just keep it in the flat. Give us one more
- 21:11Speaker 5: and uh they've They have the road kill fries, which
- 21:15Speaker 5: it's like animal fries, but they crumble a ham.
- 21:18Speaker 1: A crushed o possum that's been sitting in the sun.
- 21:22Speaker 5: Yes, they crumble a burger on it, and always remember
- 21:27Speaker 5: your fries. Well man, that's the that's the only way
- 21:29Speaker 5: to order the fries.
- 21:30Speaker 4: There tip, you got to give us one more. That
- 21:34Speaker 4: sounds like a sex position.
- 21:40Speaker 5: I'm not seeing. I'm not I'm not seeing.
- 21:43Speaker 1: Do they sell a Cleveland steamer.
- 21:47Speaker 5: The fudge packer.
- 21:51Speaker 1: Where we are definitely? Well, I guess that's it.
- 21:56Speaker 5: An you stop you guys.
- 21:57Speaker 4: You know se fudge it in and out, you idiot.
- 22:00Speaker 1: Everybody knows that
