- 0:01Speaker 1: Welcome to a meeting of the minds crafted from decades
- 0:05Speaker 1: of talk show experience, an extension of the magic they've
- 0:08Speaker 1: created together on radio in the phenomenon called M and
- 0:13Speaker 1: M Hot Topics in the News and wisdom from Life.
- 0:16Speaker 2: It's Mark Davis and Mike Gallagher.
- 0:19Speaker 1: This is eminem Extra Happy Friday.

- 0:32Speaker 3: Mike Gallagher, He's Mark Davis, Marked It's.
- 0:36Speaker 2: There's something visually shocking. I knew this would happened. We
- 0:40Speaker 2: get way too comfortable. Look happy, Look at me. You
- 0:45Speaker 2: got a dress shirt on?
- 0:46Speaker 4: You?
- 0:46Speaker 2: Look at what else have I got on?
- 0:47Speaker 4: Oh?
- 0:48Speaker 3: You got your headphones on?
- 0:50Speaker 2: So talk to a couple.
- 0:52Speaker 1: Now.
- 0:53Speaker 2: I'm totally teasing. I'll leave it all Are you leave
- 0:55Speaker 2: it all on? Old Are you kidding? I don't want
- 0:57Speaker 2: the memo?
- 0:57Speaker 3: Hang on, No, you're not going to get the memo
- 0:59Speaker 3: on the podcast. Asked to go go ahead. You're all right,
- 1:02Speaker 3: You're okay on the podcast. You're fine.
- 1:07Speaker 2: I'm suiting up proper I'm suiting properly. What I'm putting in,
- 1:11Speaker 2: putting in my old school nineteen fifties. Ifb close you
- 1:14Speaker 2: up that wireless star Trek thing going, Oh now I'm gonna,
- 1:18Speaker 2: I'm gonna, I'll do this the right thing.
- 1:20Speaker 3: All right, Well, I got news for you. I want
- 1:22Speaker 3: to start because I got Dallas Cowboys news. I got
- 1:24Speaker 3: to start with with you. Mister a Cowboy fan beat.
- 1:27Speaker 2: Me down already. Nothing would throw me more than to
- 1:30Speaker 2: have a really good Cowboys season. Wake me up when
- 1:33Speaker 2: we're in the NFC championship game. Well that's formally kind
- 1:36Speaker 2: of where I am.
- 1:37Speaker 3: The former star quarterback Tony Romo, as we know, was
- 1:41Speaker 3: arrested this week in Wisconsin. Just moments ago. It was
- 1:45Speaker 3: are you really going to change out your headphone?
- 1:47Speaker 2: Sure? This is real life, baby, this is real life.
- 1:50Speaker 3: You don't need to change it. You're fine, Nobody, nobody's
- 1:54Speaker 3: gonna send you a memo.
- 1:55Speaker 2: As as as resolute as I am that I need
- 2:00Speaker 2: these really cool teenage boy dorm room headphones for the
- 2:04Speaker 2: radio show, as steadfast as I am about that, yeah, yeah,
- 2:08Speaker 2: I'm equally steadfast about the optics of the podcast world,
- 2:12Speaker 2: where I need to be lighter and breezier and have
- 2:14Speaker 2: this little thing in my ear. So that what am.
- 2:18Speaker 4: I supposed to do.
- 2:19Speaker 3: While you're changing them out do show tunes.
- 2:21Speaker 2: I will still sit down you're rocking the book, I
- 2:25Speaker 2: will not to pick one at random. I will still
- 2:28Speaker 2: be able to hear you. But Micha will still be on.
- 2:30Speaker 2: Everything can be just fine.
- 2:31Speaker 3: Okay, Well, here's the breaking news. Moments ago, CBS announced
- 2:35Speaker 3: that Tony Romo is now on leave from CBS. Now
- 2:41Speaker 3: this is which leads to a fascinating conversation. We had
- 2:45Speaker 3: a little bit today on the show, but I couldn't
- 2:48Speaker 3: wait to share it with you, because, after all, you
- 2:51Speaker 3: are a veteran Dallas Cowboys fan. You are a proud
- 2:57Speaker 3: Texas resident. You love your Cowboys. Denise and I and
- 3:01Speaker 3: the kids loved ourk Cowboys. We used to be season
- 3:03Speaker 3: ticket holders. We were part of that brand new stadium
- 3:07Speaker 3: that you know that is now Jerry's World whatever they
- 3:10Speaker 3: call it now, Texas Stadium, what's it? What's it called now?
- 3:12Speaker 2: It's not called the AT and T Stadium. The FIFA people,
- 3:15Speaker 2: the soccer people made us geographically inaccurately call it Dallas Stadium,
- 3:20Speaker 2: even though it's in Arlington. But it's AT and D Stadium,
- 3:22Speaker 2: colloquially and lovingly referred to as Jerry World or the
- 3:26Speaker 2: Death Star.
- 3:28Speaker 3: Don don Don Don dut On, Don dut on. All right,
- 3:32Speaker 3: So this led to my knowledge, and this is public
- 3:37Speaker 3: knowledge that as of twenty twenty six, Tony Romo, as
- 3:41Speaker 3: the one of the lead CBS NFL color analysts, earns
- 3:47Speaker 3: about one hundred and he's got one hundred and eighty
- 3:50Speaker 3: million dollar.
- 3:51Speaker 2: Contract one hundred over how many years? Ten years?
- 3:55Speaker 3: One hundred eighty million dollars ten year deal. Okay, now,
- 4:00Speaker 3: so the first, the obvious, easy question is should he
- 4:05Speaker 3: be fired from CBS for getting pulled over and may
- 4:07Speaker 3: be convicted of a DUI? The second question is, and
- 4:11Speaker 3: I'm gonna now I want you to answer both of
- 4:13Speaker 3: them because I don't want to get your reaction to
- 4:15Speaker 3: both of these. I want to get I want to
- 4:17Speaker 3: get your take. And number two, shouldn't a guy who's
- 4:22Speaker 3: on a contract that's going to pay him one hundred
- 4:24Speaker 3: and eighty million dollars over ten years? I mean, that's
- 4:27Speaker 3: like the mega jackpot, that's the that's the mega millions
- 4:29Speaker 3: or whatever.
- 4:30Speaker 4: The thing.
- 4:31Speaker 3: Be real careful about how you live your life. Maybe
- 4:35Speaker 3: it just means I'm going to have a driver, I'm
- 4:38Speaker 3: going to pay somebody one hundred thousand bucks a year
- 4:41Speaker 3: to drive me everywhere I need to go. I'm never
- 4:43Speaker 3: going to be in a position where I'm going to
- 4:45Speaker 3: go to a golf tournament. And maybe, and he's innocent
- 4:48Speaker 3: until proven guilty, we don't know yet because he didn't
- 4:50Speaker 3: take a blood test, he wouldn't submit to a breathalyzer.
- 4:53Speaker 3: They said he did not do well on the field
- 4:56Speaker 3: sobriety test. But my second question is shouldn't you be
- 5:01Speaker 3: very responsible for the fortune that your talents have earned
- 5:06Speaker 3: you at a network like CBS.
- 5:08Speaker 2: Go one hundred percent? What you've asked is a close
- 5:11Speaker 2: cousin to the Tiger Woods question. Remember the last time
- 5:13Speaker 2: he rolled an suv? Is like, dude, get a driver.
- 5:17Speaker 2: So the short answer to that is yes. Everything, every
- 5:20Speaker 2: approach to this is necessarily funneled through. It's like a
- 5:24Speaker 2: beer bong funneled through one question, and that question is
- 5:28Speaker 2: was he drunk or not? And we don't know the
- 5:31Speaker 2: answer to that, like we know our own names. But
- 5:34Speaker 2: you spent we spent some time this week on do
- 5:36Speaker 2: you ever do the breathalyzer? Do you ever do field sobriety?
- 5:38Speaker 2: And most attorneys would say no, and no, but if
- 5:41Speaker 2: you really are stone cold sober, what wow? Do you
- 5:46Speaker 2: refuse the blood test? You know?
- 5:50Speaker 3: But if you do, do you realize the wisdom behind
- 5:53Speaker 3: refusing everything, because then it leads a couple of big
- 5:57Speaker 3: mouths like you and me and the world to have
- 6:00Speaker 3: to recognize we don't know if he was drunk or not.
- 6:04Speaker 3: In other words, he is cutting off any way to
- 6:08Speaker 3: scientifically link him to confirm it. And if that's the case,
- 6:13Speaker 3: well that's why you do it, that's why you would
- 6:15Speaker 3: never take it, and which I guess there's some wisdom
- 6:20Speaker 3: in that.
- 6:21Speaker 2: Mark, especially when on the now infamous bodycam video, the
- 6:27Speaker 2: officer asks how many like either how many drinks? I
- 6:30Speaker 2: guess says how many drinks have you had? And he
- 6:32Speaker 2: says zero? And we either believe that or we don't.
- 6:37Speaker 2: I probably don't, but that's well the same as knowing,
- 6:40Speaker 2: you know factually that he was impaired. I don't.
- 6:43Speaker 3: Also, he also evidently said he was on his way
- 6:46Speaker 3: to grandma and Grandpa's house, and apparently both his sets
- 6:50Speaker 3: of grandparents are all deceased.
- 6:52Speaker 2: They are often to my kids. I have often referred
- 6:56Speaker 2: to Lisa's parents when they were alive as Grandma and grandpa.
- 7:00Speaker 2: So I don't know if his bride's parents are still
- 7:03Speaker 2: alive and might similar, But of course I don't know
- 7:05Speaker 2: if they'd be in Wisconsin either, So I'm probably really
- 7:07Speaker 2: contorting myself to give Tony a break on this.
- 7:10Speaker 3: Well, when this is a fact that we probably.
- 7:12Speaker 2: Have is a story of a guy probably drunk, probably
- 7:16Speaker 2: shouldn't have been driving, and certainly should have been as
- 7:18Speaker 2: you've properly laid out a little more vigilant over risks
- 7:22Speaker 2: to take when you're in that kind of rarefied environment.
- 7:25Speaker 3: So that leads to his future at CBS, and is
- 7:28Speaker 3: the Daily Wire just posted online, Tony Romo's future at
- 7:32Speaker 3: CBS is now in question. He's on leave until further notice.
- 7:37Speaker 3: You know, I can't get out of my way in
- 7:41Speaker 3: knowing how much I like the guy and what a
- 7:44Speaker 3: good guy he is said to be exactly, so maybe
- 7:47Speaker 3: we're both being sort of biased here, But of course
- 7:50Speaker 3: he shouldn't lose. What is it of his arrest for
- 7:55Speaker 3: the alleged offense of driving while drinking that could gate
- 8:00Speaker 3: his skills or ability to be a CBS sports.
- 8:05Speaker 2: Nothing coloring, there's nothing, there's nothing skills related in this
- 8:08Speaker 2: at all. It's all optics related, it's all accountability related,
- 8:12Speaker 2: and properly. So here's the thought that just binged into
- 8:15Speaker 2: my head. Let me run it by you. Welcome to
- 8:16Speaker 2: the podcast here. I think it's say it. See how
- 8:18Speaker 2: it works out. If indeed he's drunk driving, that's something
- 8:23Speaker 2: that deserves a sanction from CBS. Is his position right
- 8:27Speaker 2: now that I was totally sober if so, okay, let's
- 8:31Speaker 2: go with that. And maybe if i'm CBS, I leave
- 8:34Speaker 2: him right where he is and I don't exact a
- 8:37Speaker 2: sanction until he is convicted. Is that fair?
- 8:41Speaker 3: It is?
- 8:42Speaker 4: You know.
- 8:42Speaker 3: It makes me think though, of a lot of the
- 8:45Speaker 3: morality clauses in the contact contracts of public figures. You
- 8:50Speaker 3: may have it in yours, Many people have it, and
- 8:54Speaker 3: that is and it's always terrified me. And it's just
- 8:56Speaker 3: accepted that companies that enter into an agreement with somebody
- 8:59Speaker 3: like Romo can say, if you are charged with a
- 9:04Speaker 3: crime involving some and boy, that's dangerous because you think
- 9:09Speaker 3: about losing your career over maybe somebody who is falsely
- 9:13Speaker 3: accused of a crime, somebody who's falsely charged and maybe look,
- 9:17Speaker 3: let's be let's get neutral for a minute. Maybe he
- 9:20Speaker 3: was sober as a church mouse. Maybe he just didn't
- 9:23Speaker 3: do well on the field sobriety test, because it's hard
- 9:26Speaker 3: to do to conduct successfully or fulfill the standards of
- 9:31Speaker 3: a field sobriety test. Somebody in our chat room right
- 9:33Speaker 3: now are live chat room see it, says I think
- 9:37Speaker 3: it's Feo's fiend. Field sobriety tests are designed for failure. Now, ps,
- 9:44Speaker 3: I'm going to get one. I've got Roger P. Shulman
- 9:46Speaker 3: on the case. He said he's already got a law
- 9:48Speaker 3: enforcement officer who's willing to administer a field sobriety test.
- 9:51Speaker 3: To me, how cool is that? And there has to
- 9:54Speaker 3: be full video of this that we can do. We
- 9:56Speaker 3: have with clips we need.
- 9:58Speaker 2: To play here.
- 9:59Speaker 3: No, No, I got a better idea middle of the
- 10:01Speaker 3: night last night because you and I talked about this
- 10:03Speaker 3: idea yesterday and you thought it was a great idea.
- 10:06Speaker 3: Because again with that in mind, what's a field sobriety
- 10:09Speaker 3: test entail? Can you pass it? Can you?
- 10:11Speaker 4: You know?
- 10:11Speaker 3: We need to do what we're gonna get. We're gonna
- 10:14Speaker 3: get really clever here. I'm going to do the field
- 10:17Speaker 3: sobriety test live streamed with you on the M and
- 10:22Speaker 3: M Extra Podcast where.
- 10:23Speaker 2: I can do play by play of your field, Sobriety,
- 10:26Speaker 2: you sure can. How cool is that it's Christmas in July.
- 10:29Speaker 3: Wouldn't that be cool? I thought you'd like it.
- 10:32Speaker 2: We're gonna do it.
- 10:33Speaker 3: We're going to do it outside in the parking lot.
- 10:35Speaker 3: We're going to do it here, and I'm going to
- 10:37Speaker 3: be and we're going to live stream it for you
- 10:40Speaker 3: and you and I are going to talk as I'm
- 10:42Speaker 3: getting the field, Sobriety, you'll be.
- 10:44Speaker 2: You'll be miked up and have your magic Star Trek
- 10:46Speaker 2: if B so you can hear the entire proceedings.
- 10:48Speaker 3: I'll be able to I'll be able to talk and
- 10:50Speaker 3: hear you and talk to you. I'll have a mic
- 10:52Speaker 3: on and we'll do the whole kitten kaboodle and you
- 10:55Speaker 3: can be well, you can be Tony Romo calling the
- 10:58Speaker 3: color analysis.
- 10:59Speaker 2: Without the blood alcohol.
- 11:00Speaker 3: No, you'll be.
- 11:03Speaker 2: Exactly.
- 11:03Speaker 3: You're not going to be Tony wrong. But look, you know,
- 11:06Speaker 3: I think I'm just going to say it, for crying
- 11:09Speaker 3: out loud, if he was gambling on sports, if he was,
- 11:13Speaker 3: if he if he was caught betting on NFL games.
- 11:16Speaker 3: Right now that I can see you know, you fire
- 11:19Speaker 3: somebody who is directly impacting his ability to be a
- 11:22Speaker 3: neutral color analyst. But but a d U I that doesn't,
- 11:27Speaker 3: that shouldn't negate your career with And that's okay.
- 11:31Speaker 2: Let's say we learn ultimately X weeks and months from now,
- 11:34Speaker 2: we learned that Tony absolutely was drunk is a weird word,
- 11:38Speaker 2: is bad. And then there's just beyond was impaired enough
- 11:41Speaker 2: where he shouldn't have been driving? Right that that to
- 11:45Speaker 2: me smacks of a three four game suspension. That's okay
- 11:48Speaker 2: if i'm if, if they're they're neat because you're right
- 11:51Speaker 2: about the gambling thing, that it affects the ethics of
- 11:54Speaker 2: the actual job. But his gambling doesn't, doesn't kill somebody
- 11:59Speaker 2: in an in an s his drunk driving might. It
- 12:02Speaker 2: is enormously more serious right societally, even though you're the
- 12:06Speaker 2: point you make about the relevancy of the job is correct.
- 12:09Speaker 2: But that's what's killing me here. We're living in the
- 12:11Speaker 2: land of I don't know where Tony has placed us,
- 12:14Speaker 2: as you say, probably skillfully, so I think I probably
- 12:19Speaker 2: to tie a bow around it. If that's what you're
- 12:21Speaker 2: seeking to do. Is I might be less than comfortable
- 12:25Speaker 2: with the notion of CBS sidelining him. You know, before
- 12:31Speaker 2: the wheels of justice have turned you bet well.
- 12:34Speaker 3: One thing we both know is that we're ecstatic to
- 12:37Speaker 3: welcome Ekel to the eminem Extra. The stars of Duck Dynasty,
- 12:41Speaker 3: Willie and Corey Robertson, have teamed up with Eckel. It's
- 12:44Speaker 3: a brand new, one of a kind streaming platform all
- 12:47Speaker 3: centered around faith, family, prayer. Every day there's going to
- 12:51Speaker 3: be there are daily devotionals there, quick snippets of prayer
- 12:55Speaker 3: and scripture to help you start your morning grounded, not scrambling.
- 12:59Speaker 3: And look, the Robertson didn't just lend their name to Echol,
- 13:01Speaker 3: they helped build her from the ground up. They're very
- 13:03Speaker 3: active with this. It's one platform and mark multiple ways
- 13:07Speaker 3: to feel good about how you're spending your time and
- 13:10Speaker 3: money and connecting with a community that absolutely shares our values.
- 13:16Speaker 2: We live in what has to be a golden age
- 13:18Speaker 2: of entertainment and content. There's so much out there, but
- 13:21Speaker 2: it also means is there's so much out there that's objectionable,
- 13:24Speaker 2: so much harder to navigate this landscape. If you're a
- 13:27Speaker 2: person of faith, a person with some standards on what
- 13:29Speaker 2: you like to see in hear or a person with
- 13:31Speaker 2: some kids. Heaven forbid, we should have stuff that's safe
- 13:34Speaker 2: for family viewing. Well, guess what here it is in
- 13:36Speaker 2: one place, e kkl echol dot com. And it's just
- 13:40Speaker 2: a wonderful, faith forward, family friendly place to go.
- 13:43Speaker 3: You get it all for five dollars and eighty three
- 13:45Speaker 3: cents a month at getting started as a piece of
- 13:48Speaker 3: cake five eighty three a month. Go to echol dot com,
- 13:50Speaker 3: sign up today and mark as you said ekkl dot com.
- 13:55Speaker 3: And guess what Yasmin just shared with me. We've we
- 13:57Speaker 3: found out she knows what echo means? Did you know?
- 14:00Speaker 3: Did you ever figure out what echo stands for?
- 14:02Speaker 2: I do not. I'm you ready here?
- 14:06Speaker 3: Echel is Greek for church assembly, gathering in church?
- 14:10Speaker 2: Hold on? Is this the same root as ecclesiastical, the
- 14:17Speaker 2: same etymology as the term ecclesiastical? I bet it is?
- 14:21Speaker 3: Well, look at the time, hey, time to tell you
- 14:23Speaker 3: about pain relief?
- 14:26Speaker 2: It is, Mike, It is a pain to dork out
- 14:29Speaker 2: on word history like that. How well you relieve that pain?
- 14:32Speaker 3: And getting into scriptural certainty and clarity is something. Look,
- 14:36Speaker 3: I'm proud to be a Christian that gets to profess
- 14:39Speaker 3: my faith, but scriptural excellence. I'm not there yet. But
- 14:43Speaker 3: it is a pain. But you can get out of
- 14:44Speaker 3: pain with relief Factor. And you started this week. You're
- 14:48Speaker 3: on the new Relief Factor journey. Doug took relief Factor
- 14:51Speaker 3: for almost a year before convincing his wife, a special
- 14:54Speaker 3: needs teacher, to try it. She had been having to
- 14:56Speaker 3: use assistance just to go down the long hallway at school.
- 14:59Speaker 3: Now she's on our feet, spry, bright ale, bright eyed,
- 15:03Speaker 3: and bushy tailed. Relief Factor the three week quick Start
- 15:06Speaker 3: is seventeen seventy six in honor of America's two hundred
- 15:09Speaker 3: and fiftieth These are great people. I've been to their
- 15:11Speaker 3: headquarters in Washington. They're just they have a heart for
- 15:14Speaker 3: the hurting. I want to see if we can get
- 15:16Speaker 3: you out of pain too. And Mark, we're going to
- 15:17Speaker 3: see how you do after your first couple of weeks
- 15:19Speaker 3: on Relief Factor to help you with that stubborn little
- 15:22Speaker 3: rotator cuff problem.
- 15:23Speaker 2: You've had, shoulder issue. And then it's a piece of
- 15:25Speaker 2: cake to take. It comes in the pre done packets
- 15:27Speaker 2: and it's just the easiest thing because a lot of
- 15:28Speaker 2: times you've got some big old bottle of supplements and
- 15:31Speaker 2: some other big old bottle of supplements. You got to
- 15:33Speaker 2: figure out, how did I do that one? Did I
- 15:35Speaker 2: forget this one? How many of those do I take?
- 15:36Speaker 2: It's done for you. It couldn't be easier, which makes
- 15:39Speaker 2: it really good, a good thing for me, because life
- 15:41Speaker 2: is complicated enough.
- 15:43Speaker 3: Relief Factor dot com. Relief Factor dot com, or call
- 15:45Speaker 3: eight hundred and four Relief eight hundred the number four
- 15:47Speaker 3: relief for the one and only relief Factor. Mark. We've
- 15:51Speaker 3: got to go to Texas. I got to talk to
- 15:53Speaker 3: you a little bit about this extraordinary poll that just
- 15:56Speaker 3: came out showing James Tallerico is three points ahead of
- 16:00Speaker 3: Ken Paxton. I know you roll your eyes.
- 16:02Speaker 2: It's extraordinary, all right.
- 16:04Speaker 3: Ben Domen, It says to the Mark Davises of the
- 16:06Speaker 3: world who roll their eyes, you must not know what's
- 16:09Speaker 3: really going on in Texas. Texas is going to turn blue,
- 16:13Speaker 3: and the mar Calgarico.
- 16:14Speaker 2: He did not say Texas is going to turn blue.
- 16:17Speaker 2: Exagger's a little bit okay, but he says that those
- 16:19Speaker 2: of us pooh pooing it as I am are, are
- 16:23Speaker 2: perhaps a little too cavalier. And I would say to
- 16:26Speaker 2: the Ben Domices of the world, the mister Megan McCain's
- 16:29Speaker 2: of the world that may play a part in that.
- 16:31Speaker 2: Just saying that you know, a couple of trips to
- 16:34Speaker 2: an Austin bar does not mean you've been to Texas.
- 16:38Speaker 2: They look at our state, look at our politics, especially lately,
- 16:41Speaker 2: the successes of Paxton himself and Greg Abbott and Dan Patrick,
- 16:46Speaker 2: and the enormous popularity of brand new congress people like
- 16:49Speaker 2: Brandon Gill And then take a look at woke Opie,
- 16:52Speaker 2: take a look at James Tallerico with that Oh God,
- 16:55Speaker 2: is bond non binary? I've got this special thing for
- 16:57Speaker 2: trans kids. There's no way in the world this guy
- 17:02Speaker 2: gets elected to the United States Senate from Texas. And
- 17:06Speaker 2: to add a PostScript so that nobody thinks I'm kicking
- 17:09Speaker 2: back and relaxing and said, we got this, don't worry
- 17:12Speaker 2: about it. This is a call to action to make
- 17:14Speaker 2: sure that my prediction is correct. Because we are on it.
- 17:17Speaker 2: We will stop this guy. We will elevate Ken Paxson
- 17:20Speaker 2: to make him Cornyn's successor, thank God, and this will
- 17:24Speaker 2: happen because this is the state that I know, the
- 17:26Speaker 2: state that I love, and the voters that I recognize.
- 17:29Speaker 3: Well, you know, speaking of mister Meghan McCain, she had
- 17:33Speaker 3: a great post. She said this pulling on to be
- 17:35Speaker 3: a five alarm fire for Republicans. We should not sit
- 17:39Speaker 3: back and roll our eyes. Not I'm not talking about
- 17:42Speaker 3: She's not she's not even talking about Tall Rico. She's
- 17:45Speaker 3: just saying in general, these DSA candidates are winning. There
- 17:49Speaker 3: is momentum.
- 17:50Speaker 4: Mom.
- 17:50Speaker 3: Donnie is the face of today's Democrat Party. And I
- 17:53Speaker 3: have to share with you what Stephen Miller said earlier
- 17:56Speaker 3: this week on Fox News, because he is absolutely one
- 17:59Speaker 3: hundred percent. Let's check out together. Stephen Miller describing today's
- 18:04Speaker 3: Democrat Party.
- 18:06Speaker 5: The people you mentioned, the names you mentioned, AOC, Bernie,
- 18:09Speaker 5: the squad Omar. These are people who even ten or
- 18:13Speaker 5: fifteen years ago, but it would have been relegated to
- 18:16Speaker 5: the outer extreme fringes of the Democrat Party. They're now
- 18:20Speaker 5: the center of the party. They're the heart of the party,
- 18:22Speaker 5: They're the soul of the party. So the Democrats have
- 18:24Speaker 5: become a party of freaks, weirdos, losers and crazies. But
- 18:28Speaker 5: you can't laugh it off because it's deadly serious. When
- 18:31Speaker 5: you give these people power, everything you know and love
- 18:35Speaker 5: in this world falls apart, you have chaos, corruption, decay, violence, poverty.
- 18:41Speaker 3: So of course I think he's completely spot on the latest.
- 18:47Speaker 2: The weirdos, losers, and crazies.
- 18:49Speaker 3: That's the trust Troy Jackson and Maine. He's fathered two
- 18:53Speaker 3: kids with his cousin's he's a.
- 18:56Speaker 2: Cousin, second cousin. To his defense, oh.
- 18:59Speaker 3: Okay, makes it better. They had two kids with his cousin.
- 19:04Speaker 3: I came into work today somebody posted on social media
- 19:08Speaker 3: and I couldn't stop laughing. I could barely get through
- 19:11Speaker 3: the opening monologue of the first hour because I saw
- 19:13Speaker 3: the post right before I turned on my microphone. The
- 19:16Speaker 3: person said, I can picture it now, first debate, no
- 19:19Speaker 3: matter what you think of Susan Collins. Susan Collins stands
- 19:22Speaker 3: up and says, well, at least I'm not blanking my cousin.
- 19:25Speaker 4: Uh.
- 19:26Speaker 3: And it just and and never thought we would ever.
- 19:28Speaker 3: We'll go down in the annals of political history. But
- 19:32Speaker 3: this is the time we're in, and this is the
- 19:34Speaker 3: guy they picked to replace Graham Platner.
- 19:39Speaker 2: I know nobody nor I thought Maine was a state
- 19:43Speaker 2: filled with such upstanding, lobster eating, fine citizens, good people,
- 19:47Speaker 2: good behavior.
- 19:48Speaker 3: It's made yeah again freak, weird freaks and weird losers.
- 19:53Speaker 3: But it's they're crazy. But Megan McCain let me read
- 19:56Speaker 3: it for batim because I like what she said. I
- 19:58Speaker 3: think she's right. She said, republic need to treat these
- 20:01Speaker 3: new poll numbers like a five alarm fire. Trump's numbers
- 20:04Speaker 3: are now the same as when Bush left office during
- 20:07Speaker 3: the Iraq War. This is not a joke. The American
- 20:10Speaker 3: people do not like what they're seeing and experiencing in
- 20:12Speaker 3: the country right now. To piggyback onto that, Benny Johnson,
- 20:16Speaker 3: very prolific social media guy and podcaster, he said, end
- 20:19Speaker 3: this war now. People don't like even the prospect of
- 20:24Speaker 3: a forever war. Young people are majorly turned off by
- 20:29Speaker 3: the Iran war, and we got to end this thing,
- 20:31Speaker 3: get out of it, and get back to fixing America.
- 20:34Speaker 3: Mark it's hard to argue with that.
- 20:36Speaker 2: It been, nor will I exactly exactly right, and so on.
- 20:39Speaker 2: There's a bunch of things in the salad bowl. At
- 20:41Speaker 2: the same time, our polls showing Democrat Democrats winning for
- 20:47Speaker 2: governor and Senate in Texas ridiculous. Yes, does that mean
- 20:50Speaker 2: we should rest on our laurels?
- 20:52Speaker 4: No?
- 20:52Speaker 2: Does it mean we have to be really serious in
- 20:54Speaker 2: my state, in every state about the mid terms. Yes,
- 20:58Speaker 2: are Trump's poll numbers flagging? Yes? Is that a cause
- 21:01Speaker 2: for concern? Yes? Are the things he can do about it?
- 21:04Speaker 2: Some but a lot of it is things that are
- 21:06Speaker 2: so largely out of his control, like the affordability bugaboo,
- 21:10Speaker 2: The part got to be able to find some way
- 21:13Speaker 2: to get out of this war, et cetera, et cetera,
- 21:14Speaker 2: et cetera. So absolutely, the concern, the vigilance, the pedal
- 21:19Speaker 2: to the medal, nose to the grindstone. Choose your metaphor,
- 21:22Speaker 2: one hundred percent, let me point that in a question
- 21:27Speaker 2: to you in the following way. If indeed the Democrat
- 21:31Speaker 2: Socialist Alliance wing of the Party of the Democrat Party
- 21:34Speaker 2: which is getting bigger, if they are indeed freaks and
- 21:37Speaker 2: weirdos and losers and crazies, do we feed not fear them?
- 21:43Speaker 2: There is that rise bad news for us? Or is
- 21:46Speaker 2: it in a way good news for us? Because they
- 21:48Speaker 2: are just cartoon characters who might be easier for us
- 21:51Speaker 2: to beat in the general elect.
- 21:53Speaker 3: It should be good news except for the fact that
- 21:56Speaker 3: they keep winning. However, somebody pointed out to day earlier
- 22:00Speaker 3: today on the show Remember these primaries, they might if
- 22:05Speaker 3: you're lucky you got ten percent showing up. There's such
- 22:08Speaker 3: a low turnout for these a lot of these primaries
- 22:11Speaker 3: and general special elections and all of that, that a
- 22:14Speaker 3: general election is going to be a story of a
- 22:16Speaker 3: whole different nature. Texas comes to mind when normal Texans
- 22:20Speaker 3: show up to vote, and God willing, they will in November.
- 22:23Speaker 3: This guy doesn't stand a chance. But I do think
- 22:27Speaker 3: you can't shake off because conventional wisdom would say, well,
- 22:32Speaker 3: if they're really a bunch of freaks, weirdos and losers,
- 22:35Speaker 3: then they wouldn't be winning primaries. But they are. They are.
- 22:39Speaker 3: I'm telling you, I believe more than ever in my theory.
- 22:42Speaker 3: My theory is they think we're all a bunch of
- 22:45Speaker 3: Nazis and fascists and we're really crazy for supporting Trump.
- 22:49Speaker 3: So their response is, let's get let's get crazier. Hold
- 22:53Speaker 3: my beer, I'm gonna get crazier. I'm gonna go bring up,
- 22:57Speaker 3: We're gonna we're gonna advance communists, full scale, full fledged, hardcore,
- 23:04Speaker 3: redistribute the wealth all. We're going to go crazier than
- 23:07Speaker 3: they are. And that's the only way we can take
- 23:09Speaker 3: the country back. But I keep coming back to the
- 23:11Speaker 3: old Gallagher one oh one. There's more of us than
- 23:15Speaker 3: there are them.
- 23:16Speaker 2: I'd like us to be. There has to be. And
- 23:18Speaker 2: even in the Democrat Party there are people like Harold
- 23:21Speaker 2: Ford Junior and the Texas State Democrat chairry, a young
- 23:24Speaker 2: man named Kendall Scudder, who I had on the show yesterday.
- 23:27Speaker 2: Good dude, just wrong on a lot of issues. And
- 23:29Speaker 2: I look forward to the day when the worst thing
- 23:30Speaker 2: I ever say about a Democrat is I think you're
- 23:32Speaker 2: mistaken about the issues, rather than you're a lunatic or
- 23:35Speaker 2: a freak, or a weirdo or crazy. I think the
- 23:38Speaker 2: majority of Democrats are still sort of normy and that
- 23:41Speaker 2: this is a fad of the moment. But I don't know.
- 23:44Speaker 2: I don't know if it gets worse before it gets better,
- 23:46Speaker 2: and what the definition is for that for the Democrats
- 23:49Speaker 2: and thus for us. I know all I want to
- 23:51Speaker 2: do is beat them. Anything that helps us beat them
- 23:54Speaker 2: is good. Anything that makes them harder to beat is bad.
- 23:57Speaker 3: And then I wonder if dismissing them as a bunch
- 24:00Speaker 3: of freaks, weirdos and crazies backfires on us. That you've
- 24:04Speaker 3: got you've got people in this You know, you've got
- 24:06Speaker 3: Democrat voters who are going to say, well, show you
- 24:09Speaker 3: you Yeah, you're not gonna call me a freak and
- 24:11Speaker 3: a weirdo and a crazy. I'm going to vote for
- 24:13Speaker 3: the freaks and the weirdos and the crazies. I mean,
- 24:16Speaker 3: it could be, it could be a terrible terrible is
- 24:21Speaker 3: what a year? What a year this is?
- 24:25Speaker 2: And then there's a lot of heavy lifting in the
- 24:27Speaker 2: talk show world that I have to tell you that
- 24:28Speaker 2: there may be heavy lifting in the talk show world,
- 24:31Speaker 2: but that some of the talk show hosts are lighter,
- 24:34Speaker 2: and you are one of them thanks to the PhD
- 24:36Speaker 2: weight loss magic that has been woven through your life.
- 24:40Speaker 2: You skinny thing.
- 24:41Speaker 3: Fifty three pounds, but who's bragging? You know who's counting
- 24:44Speaker 3: fifty three point five to be exact? If I can

- 24:59Speaker 3: you get off of them, as everybody knows, the weight
- 25:01Speaker 3: comes roaring back. With PhD Weight Loss, it's a lifetime,
- 25:05Speaker 3: it's a way of life. It's it's being able to

- 25:17Speaker 3: a great program, and for a limited time, PhD is

- 25:53Speaker 3: that weight and I've kept it off myphdweightloss dot Com.
- 25:57Speaker 3: By the way, Mark, do you know yesterday I saw
- 25:59Speaker 3: there were five different comments in the in the in
- 26:02Speaker 3: the live chat which you know me. I'm like a schoolgirl.
- 26:05Speaker 3: I obsess over the comments that Diane and Cleveland said,
- 26:08Speaker 3: do you guys read this? I said, oh, yes, we do, Yes,
- 26:10Speaker 3: we do read does well?
- 26:12Speaker 4: I do?
- 26:12Speaker 2: I see every once in a while I try to
- 26:14Speaker 2: take a peripheral look at them off to my side.
- 26:16Speaker 3: But what did you discover? Four or five people signed
- 26:19Speaker 3: up for Eckel four out of town. I'm all autistic.
- 26:23Speaker 3: Isn't that great? E KKL dot com tell everybody what
- 26:26Speaker 3: Echo is all about. Mark.
- 26:28Speaker 2: We can give them the etymology, the ancient Latin and
- 26:31Speaker 2: Greek behind the term, and what ultimately means something to
- 26:34Speaker 2: people is that it's good uplifting stuff, good uplifting content
- 26:37Speaker 2: in this crazy world of entertainment and content filled with
- 26:41Speaker 2: land mines. Well, the show looked good, and then all
- 26:43Speaker 2: of a sudden, I'm looking at naked people and they're
- 26:45Speaker 2: doing drugs and cursing. In the world of Echel, it
- 26:48Speaker 2: is a safe place for your family. It's a safe
- 26:51Speaker 2: place for you if this is your entertainment taste for shows,
- 26:54Speaker 2: for podcasts, for daily devotionals, and that whole Robertson clan
- 26:58Speaker 2: behind Duck Dynasty, which gave us smart funny programming that
- 27:02Speaker 2: you could actually sit down with a family and watch.
- 27:04Speaker 2: This is what the Echle model is, and I couldn't
- 27:06Speaker 2: welcome them more.
- 27:08Speaker 3: Echold dot com, ekkl dot com five dollars and eighty
- 27:12Speaker 3: three cents a month. You're gonna want to get get
- 27:15Speaker 3: on board, like so many of you have already done.
- 27:17Speaker 3: Echol dot com, ekkl dot com. Somebody speaking of the
- 27:20Speaker 3: chat room, Mark said that I read somewhere that Paxson
- 27:23Speaker 3: has spent about thirty thousand dollars so far compared to
- 27:27Speaker 3: Opie woke. Opie's like three million.
- 27:30Speaker 2: Are there large largely correct. Paxton is keeping all the
- 27:33Speaker 2: powder dry. He's sitting Attorney General. He's going to get covered.
- 27:37Speaker 2: He can do things and as a social media presence
- 27:39Speaker 2: that's extremely active. Sure, as he did in the battle
- 27:43Speaker 2: versus Cornyn, which worked out pretty well for him. He
- 27:46Speaker 2: kept the powder dry, knew he was going to be
- 27:48Speaker 2: crazily outspent, and waited for the home stretch. The home
- 27:52Speaker 2: stretch here is probably Labor Day, if not the middle
- 27:55Speaker 2: of September, So you're going to see in Tallarico AD,
- 27:58Speaker 2: after Tallarico AD, after tell Rico Ad, which will give
- 28:01Speaker 2: Paxton and all of conservative media an opportunity to bag
- 28:05Speaker 2: on Taller Eco for the crazy things he says and
- 28:08Speaker 2: believes it'll all work it'll all work out, all right.
- 28:11Speaker 3: Well, what I like is that we're going to also
- 28:14Speaker 3: look at South Carolina because that that is going to
- 28:17Speaker 3: heat up very quickly. You know the date is that August.
- 28:19Speaker 3: It's August, August eleventh. It's August eleventh, and I played
- 28:22Speaker 3: a big major. Garrett of CBS News, welcome Ralph Norman
- 28:26Speaker 3: to his podcast. Everybody's got a podcast, and I'm not
- 28:29Speaker 3: as good as this one, but who is? I really
- 28:33Speaker 3: like Ralph. I got nothing against you know, anybody else
- 28:36Speaker 3: running in that. I think I'm a Ralph Norman guy.
- 28:38Speaker 3: If I'm in the Palmetto State, I don't know. In God,
- 28:40Speaker 3: bless Darlene for the millionth time, we love you. Sorry,
- 28:43Speaker 3: what happened to your brother senator for six years? No,
- 28:46Speaker 3: but I think I'm a Ralph Norman guy. How do
- 28:49Speaker 3: you think that's going to work out?
- 28:50Speaker 1: Well?
- 28:50Speaker 4: I like him.
- 28:51Speaker 2: Him and Darlene are going to be in the runoff,
- 28:53Speaker 2: I would think, and then I think he beats her
- 28:55Speaker 2: in the runoff.
- 28:56Speaker 3: They're the two that are ahead in the polls don't
- 28:58Speaker 3: count the gram name out and people today, we talked
- 29:02Speaker 3: about it a lot, and I know South Carolina pretty well.
- 29:04Speaker 3: Everybody bags on lindsay O all these years, and yet
- 29:07Speaker 3: he kept winning and winning and winning. Nobody ever came
- 29:10Speaker 3: close to challenging him. Frankly, I'm and people are saying
- 29:14Speaker 3: that maybe that magic will continue. So look, I'm just
- 29:16Speaker 3: grateful for the magic that we get to share every
- 29:19Speaker 3: single yame money. Hope you have a terrific weekend. Let's
- 29:22Speaker 3: do it again Monday, shall we We got and we got,
- 29:25Speaker 3: we got a big week ahead, first full week in August.
- 29:28Speaker 3: My friend, where.
- 29:29Speaker 2: Does the summer go? They say, if time truly flies
- 29:32Speaker 2: when you're having fun, it'll be Monday in ten seconds.
- 29:35Speaker 2: So I have a wonderful week. God bless you, Mike.
- 29:37Speaker 2: Happy weekend. We'll see everybody on Monday.
- 29:39Speaker 4: I love you to see you Monday. As the steps,
- 30:01Speaker 4: first stop first
