- 0:30What is going on, everybody?
- 0:31Welcome to Sunday, Sunday,
- 0:33Sunday Night CrossFit Talk.
- 0:37We're here.
- 0:37It's been a long week for me.
- 0:41But we are here.
- 0:42We are live.
- 0:44I am in a hotel room in Great Falls,
- 0:46Montana,
- 0:47and just happy to be in a hotel room.
- 0:51And I'll be back on East
- 0:52Coast time tomorrow afternoon.
- 0:54What time is your flight tomorrow?
- 0:59Uh, the first flight is six.
- 1:00Woo.
- 1:00I had my Habs just scored.
- 1:04I'm not happy for your flight.
- 1:05I'm just, my Habs just scored.
- 1:07Okay.
- 1:08We're good to go now.
- 1:09Uh, Ken Walters said, uh, Scott,
- 1:12you almost to Minnesota yet.
- 1:13Uh, that's what it felt like,
- 1:16but I am in Montana now and
- 1:18happy to be here.
- 1:19How many hours a day will
- 1:20you be in the car?
- 1:23So I'm flying back.
- 1:25No, no, no.
- 1:26Like were you like in the car there?
- 1:28It was horrible.
- 1:30We thought it was going to
- 1:31be like twenty five hours.
- 1:33It ended up being like thirty some.
- 1:36It just.
- 1:38I guess we can get into that now.
- 1:40So.
- 1:43The first parts of the trip,
- 1:44the first couple days,
- 1:45like you're still fresh,
- 1:46you're still feeling good.
- 1:48Everything's going well.
- 1:49We went up through,
- 1:51so Ohio to Indiana to Illinois.
- 1:56We parked in Illinois on Wednesday night.
- 2:03So then we went Wednesday
- 2:05from Illinois to Wisconsin.
- 2:08And we passed our hotel, Jamie,
- 2:11with the bullet holes in the wall.
- 2:14And the Culver's we ate at every night.
- 2:15Oh, I love Culver's.
- 2:18And then so we went past that,
- 2:21went up through.
- 2:22And what was funny is we're on the road.
- 2:24I was doing the lunch show
- 2:25live during that time.
- 2:27And Denise actually saw on
- 2:30her Google Maps that we
- 2:31were going to encounter an
- 2:32accident before we did.
- 2:35Wow.
- 2:36It was crazy.
- 2:37What are you doing, Denise?
- 2:38And she's like, I'm on Google Maps.
- 2:40I can I can tell where
- 2:41you're at or whatever.
- 2:42So then, yeah, we got stuck in an accident,
- 2:44Madison.
- 2:45So then we went up to Minnesota,
- 2:47which it takes forever to get across.
- 2:50Like it doesn't look like it, but it does.
- 2:52And we made it through
- 2:54Minnesota on Thursday night
- 2:57and crashed in South Dakota
- 3:00on Thursday night.
- 3:03got up Friday morning,
- 3:07started going across South Dakota.
- 3:11We get to the Badlands, which was awesome.
- 3:16Like if you ever have the
- 3:18chance to go there, it is amazing.
- 3:21It's like this mini Grand
- 3:23Canyon that volcanic ash
- 3:25and a glacier created,
- 3:27and it is completely,
- 3:29completely beautiful.
- 3:33And the only bad thing was
- 3:35when we first got in,
- 3:36my daughter wanted a
- 3:37picture of her and her two
- 3:38dogs in the Badlands.
- 3:39And just as we got finished
- 3:41with the picture,
- 3:42one of the dogs got loose and took off.
- 3:44And you're not allowed to
- 3:45have dogs down on the trails.
- 3:47So we are chasing her dog
- 3:49through the trails of the Badlands.
- 3:53Finally get her and get her
- 3:55back to the truck.
- 3:55And my daughter was like, I'm done.
- 3:57I'm done.
- 3:58I'm so over this.
- 4:00And so I had to like,
- 4:03Calm everything down.
- 4:05And we got to the next pull-off area.
- 4:07And I said, how about you just go?
- 4:08I'll stay with the dogs.
- 4:10You go take your camera and
- 4:11just get some me time and
- 4:13take some pictures.
- 4:16How far did the dogs go?
- 4:17Well, it kind of just kept circling.
- 4:22Like in the area.
- 4:23It didn't like... Well...
- 4:27probably a couple hundred
- 4:28yards like circle but other
- 4:31people there were like
- 4:32blocking her uh so they
- 4:35really pitched in helped
- 4:36out and huge shout out to
- 4:37them and uh so we get
- 4:42through the badlands and
- 4:43it's beautiful the whole
- 4:44way through saw prairie
- 4:47dogs everywhere saw bison
- 4:50As we're coming, one of the last stops,
- 4:52my daughter is taking a
- 4:53picture of a bison down over the hill.
- 4:56And she edited it in the car yesterday.
- 4:58It is beautiful.
- 5:00But as she's taking the picture,
- 5:01a bison comes up right beside her.
- 5:04Is that the one you posted?
- 5:06No.
- 5:08The one I posted wasn't as
- 5:09close as this one was.
- 5:10Oh, wow.
- 5:11It comes up over the snow
- 5:13right beside my daughter.
- 5:14And I'm like, what are you doing?
- 5:17Get in the truck now.
- 5:20And she's like,
- 5:21I don't want to startle it.
- 5:22I don't want to startle it.
- 5:23And I'm like, I don't care.
- 5:26Get your ass in the truck.
- 5:30Cause they want big, like they are big.
- 5:35um and so we get through
- 5:37that and then we we decide
- 5:39we're going to go to mount
- 5:39rushmore it's an hour off
- 5:42of our path we get there
- 5:44hike up to where it is and
- 5:46it's nothing but falling
- 5:48can't see I can't see my
- 5:49hand in front of my face
- 5:52your picture was hilarious
- 5:55we saw the picture um and
- 5:59we came back down got in
- 6:00the truck had to go back out to the
- 6:03to the road we were on and
- 6:05like Mount Rushmore is in the mountains.
- 6:07It is,
- 6:07it was not an easy drive with a
- 6:09trailer on the back of a pickup truck.
- 6:11Um, so we did all that.
- 6:14Um,
- 6:14and then this is where the trip took a
- 6:16turn.
- 6:17We're driving and it gets
- 6:19pitch black and you can't see anything.
- 6:22You can't see the road ahead of you.
- 6:23You can't.
- 6:26And so I'm literally
- 6:28watching the GPS on my
- 6:29phone to see the bends in the road.
- 6:34And and then it's getting to
- 6:36like and there's no place to stop.
- 6:37There's nothing.
- 6:38There's not when people say
- 6:39you're in the middle of nowhere.
- 6:41They have not been to the
- 6:42real middle of nowhere
- 6:43unless they've been in South Dakota,
- 6:45Wyoming and Montana.
- 6:49And then why say Wyoming?
- 6:51I did not anticipate us
- 6:52getting to Wyoming.
- 6:54I'm thinking I see a big
- 6:55sign that says welcome to
- 6:56and I'm thinking we're
- 6:57going to be in Montana.
- 6:58And it says welcome to Wyoming.
- 7:02So that was a surprise.
- 7:04No, no,
- 7:07the GPS took us through like twenty
- 7:10five minutes of Wyoming to
- 7:11get to Montana.
- 7:13So we did that,
- 7:14but we never saw anything
- 7:15with lights and like a hotel,
- 7:18anything for probably three hours.
- 7:23And so we finally got
- 7:24stopped about an hour into Montana.
- 7:28at a dive super eight,
- 7:30just like we stayed at in Madison,
- 7:33maybe worse.
- 7:36We crashed and then we made
- 7:39it the rest of the way on Saturday,
- 7:42but I've always wanted to,
- 7:46it was four days total to get here.
- 7:51I've always wanted to drive
- 7:52across the country and see
- 7:53the sites and I'm glad I did it,
- 7:55but I will never,
- 7:57ever do that drive again.
- 7:59Like it is to visit my daughter.
- 8:01It will be by plane for sure.
- 8:06Meredith says I should have,
- 8:07I should have taken a left
- 8:08at Albuquerque.
- 8:10Yeah.
- 8:13But if you've ever watched Yellowstone,
- 8:15when I hit Montana or in Wyoming,
- 8:18I was like, oh my God,
- 8:19I'm at the train station.
- 8:25And they're going to find
- 8:26our dead bodies over the hill.
- 8:28Yeah.
- 8:32But yeah.
- 8:34Crazy.
- 8:38Yeah, Black Hills, Bison are no joke.
- 8:43Yeah.
- 8:44I don't know.
- 8:44We'll get to all that.
- 8:47Sounds like good quality time at least.
- 8:51Yeah, we had a lot of good talks.
- 8:52I mean,
- 8:53there's definitely moments where
- 8:54all it is is agriculture and fields,
- 8:57especially through Minnesota.
- 9:00And part of South Dakota.
- 9:01And so we got a lot of like
- 9:03good talks in and catching
- 9:04up ever since you went to college.
- 9:06Our relationship is, it hasn't, I mean,
- 9:08it's close, but we just don't have those,
- 9:10those times to talk daddy, daughter.
- 9:13Um,
- 9:14and so we got caught up on a lot of
- 9:16things and it was really good to just, um,
- 9:19have the,
- 9:19have time for those conversations,
- 9:21just the two of us.
- 9:23Um,
- 9:24cause the conversation is different
- 9:25between the two of us than
- 9:26it is with like Julie involved.
- 9:29Right.
- 9:31And so not that that's bad,
- 9:33just it's different.
- 9:35And so we enjoyed it.
- 9:37And and, you know,
- 9:41the Rocky Mountains are
- 9:41I've never seen the Rocky
- 9:43Mountains in person.
- 9:44So to get to see them,
- 9:47it was gave me goosebumps
- 9:48when you see them on the
- 9:49horizon and it's like a
- 9:51hundred miles away,
- 9:51but you can see them
- 9:53because of how flat the land is.
- 9:55It was it was really cool.
- 9:58So did you get everything?
- 9:59But a great trip.
- 10:00Did you get everything
- 10:01unloaded from the trailer already?
- 10:04So, you know, I've said before,
- 10:07she doesn't have an
- 10:08apartment to move into.
- 10:10But breaking news on that,
- 10:12someone moved out of an apartment today.
- 10:13So she gets to move in like Wednesday.
- 10:16So much sooner than like we thought.
- 10:18But we did have to move
- 10:19everything into a storage
- 10:20locker or a storage unit today.
- 10:24And then she'll move it over
- 10:26piece by piece.
- 10:27Because we rented a U-Haul,
- 10:29the U-Haul place gave her a
- 10:30storage unit for free for one month.
- 10:33Wow.
- 10:35So we got to move it in there.
- 10:37And so kudos to U-Haul.
- 10:40If you're ever planning a trip,
- 10:41just know that that is an option.
- 10:43If you don't have the place
- 10:45to move everything in at the time,
- 10:47they will give you one
- 10:48month free of storage.
- 10:50That's my car rental.
- 10:51The last few comps is a U-Haul.
- 10:53Twenty bucks a day.
- 10:54Can't go wrong.
- 10:59Yeah.
- 10:59So we got everything moved in there today.
- 11:02Um,
- 11:03it was a really cool system that we had
- 11:04going.
- 11:06Uh, so yeah.
- 11:11Awesome.
- 11:13Am I breaking up or was that just Jamie?
- 11:16I think it's just me.
- 11:19Yeah.
- 11:19And your voice is a little lagging.
- 11:23Of course.
- 11:24Okay.
- 11:26So how was your guys' week?
- 11:30What did I do this week?
- 11:35Good.
- 11:35Just training and work.
- 11:39Same old every week.
- 11:41Work and training.
- 11:43Yeah.
- 11:45I feel like I've been, yeah, training,
- 11:47picking back up, kind of.
- 11:48I feel like I've just been
- 11:49really busy with houses,
- 11:51the real estate markets picking up here.
- 11:53Springtime always is.
- 11:54I get people who
- 11:57People want to list,
- 11:58people want to start looking.
- 12:00So kind of busy on that front.
- 12:08I remember when Carolyn
- 12:09rented one to go to the
- 12:10games during COVID.
- 12:13I rented one last year for the semis.
- 12:15I rented one.
- 12:17Another comp last year too.
- 12:19Like literally,
- 12:20like it's such a good deal.
- 12:21Car rentals would be like three,
- 12:23four hundred bucks for the
- 12:24whole weekend and the UHA
- 12:25would get a huge, like a huge truck,
- 12:28like a cargo van could put
- 12:30everything in there and it
- 12:31was twenty bucks a day.
- 12:34Plus like the gas or whatever.
- 12:36But like if it wasn't, yeah,
- 12:37rented one for crash,
- 12:38that's what it was too.
- 12:38Yep.
- 12:42Yeah.
- 12:42Worth it.
- 12:44It's a good deal.
- 12:45Yeah, that's smart.
- 12:46Much cheaper.
- 12:48Trying to get sponsored by you, huh?
- 12:53There you go.
- 12:55Anything with you, Jamie,
- 12:56just the listings.
- 12:57Yeah.
- 13:00Watched a lot of sports this weekend.
- 13:03All the playoff stuff, playoff hockey,
- 13:04starting, um,
- 13:07basketball playoffs and Wadland fest.
- 13:12I would just try to like
- 13:13fast forward through some of the heats,
- 13:15um,
- 13:17and just catch up a little bit on it.
- 13:18Some of it I'd watch live,
- 13:19but a lot of it I'd watch
- 13:20after training or go back to it.
- 13:24I'd try to not watch the
- 13:25leaderboard until I watch
- 13:26the event so to not know
- 13:28what's going to happen.
- 13:29Yeah, that's exactly what I did.
- 13:33Because if I watch the leaderboard,
- 13:34then sometimes I don't go
- 13:36back and watch as in-depth for the event.
- 13:41Yeah.
- 13:44You're a good mover, CP.
- 13:52did you guys see that Kelly
- 13:53Baker had her baby?
- 13:55I did.
- 13:55Yeah.
- 13:56I saw a picture on Instagram
- 13:58where you congratulations.
- 14:01Yeah.
- 14:01She was one of the athletes.
- 14:02We did the documentary on
- 14:03the one season and she's
- 14:09just a good person.
- 14:09I'm glad that her and her
- 14:10husband had the baby and you know,
- 14:13she retired to,
- 14:14to become a mom and now
- 14:16she's got that and achieved
- 14:18that goal too.
- 14:24Speaking of Wadland Fest,
- 14:26I watched some of that today.
- 14:28We talked about it on Monday
- 14:29that they had eighty athletes,
- 14:32but there were some withdraws.
- 14:34Quite a few actually.
- 14:35One,
- 14:40do you think that we're going to see
- 14:42more withdrawals as we get
- 14:43closer to these qualifying events?
- 14:45It seems to be a trend.
- 14:48I know there's not a lot of
- 14:49data yet to back it up,
- 14:50but Mayhem had a lot of withdrawals.
- 14:53Now we have Wadland Fest
- 14:54with a lot of withdrawals.
- 14:57I don't think once the
- 14:58in-affiliate semis happens,
- 14:59that's going to be a possibility, really.
- 15:05People will be desperate
- 15:06after the in-affiliate semifinals, right?
- 15:12I think right now people are
- 15:13seeing that they have
- 15:14different options still.
- 15:15And then they're like, Oh,
- 15:16maybe I'll wait to see for
- 15:18the in affiliate summies.
- 15:19Cause it's really close.
- 15:20I think a lot of people
- 15:21committed to competitions
- 15:24just as options.
- 15:26And as the season is like unfolding,
- 15:28they're kind of being a
- 15:30little bit more deliberate
- 15:33in the ones that they're picking.
- 15:36But I think the options are
- 15:38there for people to just check.
- 15:43Denise says,
- 15:43what were the reasons for most
- 15:44of the withdrawals?
- 15:46Most of them are for strategic purposes.
- 15:50Sarah Sigmund's daughter was
- 15:51to focus on the Renegade games,
- 15:52which I cannot blame her for that.
- 15:54She's going to have a better
- 15:55shot at making it at
- 15:56Renegade than she has
- 15:57probably at this one.
- 16:00And her shot just opened up even more now.
- 16:03Right.
- 16:04With Choi qualifying in the Europe region.
- 16:08Because Choi would be one of them.
- 16:09Renegade is Africa, right?
- 16:11Oh, is it African one?
- 16:13Yeah.
- 16:17So who's in that one?
- 16:19It's Africa and... And like
- 16:23the Middle East.
- 16:24Yeah, I guess.
- 16:26Sarah got an invite.
- 16:29Oh, Far East.
- 16:30Never mind.
- 16:31Never mind.
- 16:31I'm getting those two confused.
- 16:35Yeah.
- 16:36Rebel Games.
- 16:37I'm sorry.
- 16:38It's Renegade Rebel Games.
- 16:39I believe that's how it's the full title.
- 16:44Dee Reed says that hurts the
- 16:45event organizers and the
- 16:46fans who maybe shelled out
- 16:49money for tickets.
- 16:52Yeah.
- 16:53I also think that once we
- 16:55get one of these seasons under our belt,
- 16:57people will know how to
- 16:58plan for it better.
- 17:02The athletes?
- 17:03Or do you mean spectators?
- 17:04Athletes, yeah.
- 17:06I mean,
- 17:07I almost feel like these comps may
- 17:11go the route of Wadland
- 17:13Fest and have these bigger fields.
- 17:16Because they're... I know, it's not great,
- 17:21but that's their way to make money.
- 17:24To get more athletes in there.
- 17:26What is it?
- 17:27What was NCC at?
- 17:28Four hundred?
- 17:29Four hundred was NCC, yeah.
- 17:31Yeah, I mean,
- 17:31if they're charging four hundred,
- 17:33you can get seventy eighty
- 17:34people to sign up.
- 17:35That's probably better than
- 17:36a hundred and fifty dollars
- 17:39spectator tickets that I mean,
- 17:41it didn't seem that full there.
- 17:42There was a couple points.
- 17:44Just the one side.
- 17:45The one side was a little more full,
- 17:47like on Saturday night.
- 17:48But it was I mean,
- 17:50it didn't seem for that
- 17:52many athletes there.
- 17:52You think that many athletes
- 17:53and I would say most of
- 17:56those fans are probably
- 17:57athletes and just like, yeah, exactly.
- 18:00One or two family members, if that.
- 18:04Well,
- 18:04that's curious because we've said for
- 18:06years that Europe draws a crowd.
- 18:08Yeah.
- 18:09The European semis always drew a crowd.
- 18:12And in France last year, they did.
- 18:13It was it was packed.
- 18:15Now that we're doing these
- 18:17like third party competitions,
- 18:19you look at the stands and
- 18:21there's hardly anybody there.
- 18:22But again, a lot of people drew.
- 18:24There was only probably five
- 18:25names on each side of the
- 18:28ledger for this one.
- 18:31And maybe that's not enough
- 18:33to draw where the European
- 18:35semi was all of Europe in
- 18:37one place at one time.
- 18:39Right.
- 18:42I thought more of the top
- 18:44Europeans would be at this one,
- 18:48especially with the WFP
- 18:50being like the one after.
- 18:52I feel like most of the top
- 18:54Europeans would have wanted
- 18:55to go to this one,
- 18:56try to get their ticket.
- 18:57But I think everyone's
- 18:59banking on the online.
- 19:02Which is crazy.
- 19:04I mean, I would, yeah,
- 19:04I would think if you're a European,
- 19:06like the fact that Troy got
- 19:07the other spot here,
- 19:09doesn't bode well for Europe.
- 19:12No,
- 19:12because they're one of the only
- 19:13semi-finals that allowed
- 19:15anyone to go to theirs.
- 19:17Because a lot of the other
- 19:18ones had restrictions,
- 19:20like geographical restrictions.
- 19:24And Europe said, anyone's welcome,
- 19:25which Europe is already a
- 19:27competitive region.
- 19:28But the top Europeans all
- 19:29didn't show up to this one.
- 19:31Right.
- 19:32So it really left the door more open.
- 19:33But Choi is good, though.
- 19:34She's here.
- 19:36She's good.
- 19:38I want to get to that now.
- 19:41I was rooting for showing young choice.
- 19:42She has improved so much
- 19:45over the last few years and
- 19:47very strong improvement a
- 19:50couple of years ago should
- 19:51have earned her the rookie
- 19:52of the year or the most improved athlete.
- 19:55And she didn't win it over Roman.
- 19:59And I know Roman was the
- 20:01story and probably the draw,
- 20:04but Chung Young Choi made
- 20:05the biggest improvement that year.
- 20:08And she, you know,
- 20:10everybody kind of pisses on
- 20:12the Asian region,
- 20:14but she has been a
- 20:15competitor and a very good
- 20:17competitor for a long time
- 20:19and has made drastic
- 20:20improvement other than the
- 20:21year she had the injury.
- 20:25And I am so glad that she
- 20:26went to Europe and got her
- 20:28ticket and people couldn't
- 20:29say you just got it because it was Asia.
- 20:33And it shows that she can
- 20:34compete with the European athletes.
- 20:38Well, some of the European, I mean,
- 20:41that's the problem.
- 20:43They didn't, a lot of them didn't show up.
- 20:46If Fuliano would have
- 20:48actually been a participant
- 20:51that could qualify,
- 20:52she wouldn't have a spot.
- 20:55Don't skip ahead on the notes.
- 21:00Okay.
- 21:00Um, so on the, on the women's side,
- 21:02Lucy Campbell,
- 21:04who I picked last week to win this.
- 21:05And someone said that there
- 21:07are too many strength events.
- 21:08She's not going to win.
- 21:10Well, she, she did well.
- 21:14And I know it wasn't a super strong field,
- 21:16but she's won Waterpalooza.
- 21:18She's now won this.
- 21:20That's a pretty good
- 21:21momentum role going into
- 21:22the games and not having to
- 21:24do the in affiliate semi is
- 21:26awesome for her.
- 21:31And then we hit, and of course, young,
- 21:32young Choi got the other spot.
- 21:35I think Lucy's proving that
- 21:37she is right now.
- 21:39I think in my mind,
- 21:41easily a top five in the
- 21:42world easily right now.
- 21:46has entered that chat.
- 21:49Her engine is incredible.
- 21:51Her combination of a barbell
- 21:53with gymnastics is great.
- 21:55The only little hole is the strength,
- 22:01which in a games field, you won't get too
- 22:07too many of those, right?
- 22:09Like,
- 22:09and she can offset that with event
- 22:11wins where she's the best at stuff.
- 22:14She's a great runner,
- 22:15great on machines as well.
- 22:18Yeah.
- 22:20And the fact that it was
- 22:23unknown whether she would
- 22:24ever be able to compete
- 22:25again just like a year ago
- 22:28is really a cool story.
- 22:30And someone from CrossFit
- 22:32should be going and
- 22:34spending some time with her
- 22:35and making a really cool
- 22:37behind-the-scenes
- 22:38documentary if they are not already.
- 22:44On the men's side...
- 22:46On the men's side, we had Roman Krennikoff,
- 22:48who pretty much handedly
- 22:50won the men's side without any dispute.
- 22:55And then Moritz Fiebig takes
- 22:57the second spot.
- 22:58He also was consistent all weekend.
- 23:01There was some hubbub around
- 23:04him not holding up his
- 23:05ticket on the podium and
- 23:06thinking he declined it.
- 23:08And that is not the case.
- 23:10He just did not have it in
- 23:11his hand for the picture.
- 23:12I didn't even think about that.
- 23:15But he is accepting the ticket.
- 23:18I was kind of bummed for Koski.
- 23:19That was going around today on Instagram.
- 23:23What was that, Jamie?
- 23:25I was kind of bummed for Koski.
- 23:26Yeah.
- 23:32With only two tickets,
- 23:33people are not going to make it.
- 23:37It just is what it is.
- 23:40Yeah.
- 23:40Yeah.
- 23:43um so let's talk about uh
- 23:46elisa fuliano who decided
- 23:50not to do the open this
- 23:51year and I get I get her
- 23:54story right she had lost
- 23:56the love for competing and
- 23:57didn't know if she could go
- 23:59to the dark place anymore
- 24:00to compete and so she
- 24:02wanted to just do local
- 24:04comps in europe to see if
- 24:06she still had it and
- 24:09She said in her post event
- 24:11or post event interview
- 24:13that she could do it again.
- 24:16She found the love again,
- 24:17that she could go to that
- 24:18dark place and that she now
- 24:21has found that love again,
- 24:23but she didn't do the open.
- 24:24So now she doesn't get a
- 24:25ticket to the games.
- 24:27It made it confusing
- 24:29mathematically to try to
- 24:30figure out who was going on.
- 24:34Did you guys find that watching it?
- 24:36Yeah.
- 24:38And we've talked about how
- 24:39it kind of muddles the
- 24:41field when you have someone
- 24:43who cannot get the ticket
- 24:46taking points away from
- 24:48people who are trying to get a ticket.
- 24:50Right.
- 24:51Yeah.
- 24:51I don't love that,
- 24:52that her placement is like
- 24:55affects the leaderboard.
- 24:56Yeah.
- 24:58I would just kind of like
- 24:58erase her every time.
- 25:00Okay.
- 25:00This is the,
- 25:00these are the two athletes get
- 25:01in the slots right now.
- 25:02Like,
- 25:03wasn't that many that didn't
- 25:04do like that weren't um
- 25:07eligible so like I just
- 25:09knew right away like she
- 25:10wasn't right I mean I don't
- 25:11know down the bottom if
- 25:12there was anyone else but
- 25:14um yeah I mean I don't
- 25:18think like she's not doing
- 25:19wfp either so it's not like
- 25:20she was she just didn't
- 25:22making a year off right and
- 25:25I'm not I'm not saying that
- 25:26she shouldn't boycott or
- 25:28anything like that that's fine
- 25:30or take the year off, I'm fine with that.
- 25:32But when it's a qualifying
- 25:34event for the games,
- 25:36I think it gets muddled
- 25:38when they're in there
- 25:42taking points away from
- 25:43people trying to make their
- 25:44way to the games.
- 25:45Yeah,
- 25:45I think that the game season should
- 25:47be the athletes that are
- 25:48doing the actual game season.
- 25:50Like if this is a semifinal
- 25:52qualifying event,
- 25:54I think it should be
- 25:55athletes that are going to
- 25:57try to punch their ticket for the games.
- 26:00And there's plenty of other
- 26:01competitions for athletes
- 26:03to do if they want to
- 26:05compete and stuff like that.
- 26:06And if they want to earn money,
- 26:08well then go in the CrossFit
- 26:10game season because there's
- 26:11still money on the line.
- 26:12Like,
- 26:12I don't know if that comp is so
- 26:14important to you,
- 26:15then do the CrossFit season because like,
- 26:19that's like,
- 26:20to me it's just weird when
- 26:21people are doing comps and it's not,
- 26:23and they're not, they're not in the,
- 26:27in the running for it.
- 26:27Like it, it does affect the leaderboard.
- 26:29I don't know why.
- 26:32You know that Guy affected
- 26:34the leaderboard at Mayhem.
- 26:37Right.
- 26:39Right.
- 26:40It just seems like it's so
- 26:42easy to do the semifinals.
- 26:45Like, so easy.
- 26:47You just do them in your gym
- 26:49and be a part of the community.
- 26:51You got to be kicking
- 26:52yourself or have not done
- 26:54that part of the season.
- 26:55But it's not the athlete's fault.
- 26:56It's the system in place.
- 26:58Like if she wants to compete
- 26:59or if athletes that already
- 27:00have their games tickets
- 27:02want to compete and win
- 27:03money at these events,
- 27:04like it's not like you can't fault them.
- 27:06It's just that's the rules
- 27:08that CrossFit put in place.
- 27:13Yeah.
- 27:13Yeah.
- 27:15I mean,
- 27:15we're getting a lot of differing
- 27:16opinions in the chat.
- 27:19I like that Syndicate is
- 27:21taking away Roman's invite.
- 27:23And because he's now qualified,
- 27:25they just want people
- 27:26trying to qualify to make it simpler.
- 27:30But that's one way of doing it.
- 27:31And CrossFit gave the third
- 27:33party qualifying events
- 27:35autonomy to make up their
- 27:38rules how they want to do it.
- 27:39And so we're going to see a
- 27:40lot of different versions
- 27:41of this as we progress
- 27:43through the season.
- 27:53Sivan agrees with Ms.
- 27:54Prevost.
- 27:57But there are people saying
- 27:58that she took the year off.
- 28:00Lynn is saying that the
- 28:03CrossFit athletes should be
- 28:04good enough to oversee or overtake.
- 28:14I just think if we're trying
- 28:15to make something watchable for fans,
- 28:19you need to make it as
- 28:20simple for them to
- 28:21understand as possible.
- 28:23And it just gets confusing
- 28:25when there are so many different options.
- 28:29I hated that one part of the
- 28:33sanctional season where
- 28:35like you had to get out
- 28:38your ball of yarn and cross
- 28:41off these eight people who
- 28:42competed at other places.
- 28:44And now the ninth place
- 28:45person is going to the games.
- 28:47Like it just was really confusing.
- 28:49but it's not the athlete's fault, right?
- 28:51Like it's like, it's the rules in place.
- 28:53Like they're able to do that,
- 28:55get the money or get the
- 28:56experience of the, of the competition.
- 29:00Like there would have to be
- 29:01a more controlled path, I guess,
- 29:04if you want to avoid that kind of stuff.
- 29:08So she wants to take from CrossFit,
- 29:10but not participate in CrossFit.
- 29:13Well, really CrossFit didn't run this.
- 29:18I think she just wanted to
- 29:18compete like more locally in person.
- 29:24Yeah.
- 29:25You got it.
- 29:26Kind of rage beard.
- 29:28I let it grow out.
- 29:29I get salty.
- 29:36Um,
- 29:48If you're about to go on a
- 29:49four-hour car ride,
- 29:50you pee before you leave the house.
- 29:52If you're an elite CrossFit athlete,
- 29:53you do the open.
- 29:54She closed the door,
- 29:56and she could have easily left it open.
- 29:59Yeah.
- 30:01And she can make whatever
- 30:02statement she wants to make.
- 30:03We're all entitled to do that.
- 30:08I just hate that it messes up with, again,
- 30:14the growth of what we're trying to do,
- 30:16viewership, all of that kind of stuff.
- 30:20uh how did how do you think
- 30:22the workouts played out on
- 30:23the on the floor the first
- 30:29one was uh pretty short
- 30:31like they went super far to
- 30:33to do that event um the
- 30:36standards for the sandbags
- 30:38I never liked the front
- 30:39rack or what do you call it uh bear hug
- 30:43Because as you get in the bottom,
- 30:45you can kind of use your
- 30:46legs to help you out.
- 30:47If it's at least on the shoulder,
- 30:49it's tougher.
- 30:52First of all,
- 30:52it adds an element of core as
- 30:55it's on one shoulder as
- 30:56you're going down.
- 30:59But there are some inconsistencies there,
- 31:01and those really played a
- 31:03role in some of the points
- 31:05for sure on that particular workout.
- 31:09But it was a nice view.
- 31:11for the athletes that when they're running,
- 31:13like I saw the pictures,
- 31:14I'm sure it was nice, but yeah,
- 31:16the sandbag needed to
- 31:18change for something else,
- 31:21whether it's over the
- 31:22shoulder or a different
- 31:24version of a squat,
- 31:25but even like even on the shoulder.
- 31:28Yeah.
- 31:28I mean, you can still extend all the way,
- 31:30but yeah, I don't know.
- 31:34Mike asks,
- 31:34how did fully auto competing
- 31:35this weekend hurt growth?
- 31:37Anything that makes it more
- 31:38confusing for the spectator hurts growth.
- 31:42And I'm not blaming Elisa herself.
- 31:44I'm saying any athlete who
- 31:46cannot get their ticket to
- 31:47the CrossFit Games makes it
- 31:48confusing when you're
- 31:50looking at the leaderboard
- 31:51when first and third place
- 31:53go to the Games and second place doesn't.
- 31:55Then it requires an
- 31:56explanation as to why
- 31:58second place isn't going to the Games.
- 32:01That's what I'm saying.
- 32:06Uh,
- 32:06the second event with the double unders
- 32:08was stupid.
- 32:09Um, which I called beforehand.
- 32:11I'm like,
- 32:12you just can't see the race with
- 32:13double unders.
- 32:14You have no idea who's, who's leading.
- 32:16I don't,
- 32:17I think that's a good training workout,
- 32:18but not a good testing workout.
- 32:20And I get they're a sponsor of the event,
- 32:23but I,
- 32:23I would prefer the skipping be a
- 32:26part of the buy-in and not the score.
- 32:28Um,
- 32:29I just don't think that that was a fun
- 32:32event to watch at all.
- 32:34And there was a lot of women
- 32:36not moving on from the role.
- 32:38Yeah,
- 32:38the buy-in being the same as the men
- 32:40on that, again, same as Colbus Sir,
- 32:46is difficult with the legless.
- 32:50There's a few people that
- 32:51will stand out there, but yeah,
- 32:53the score of the
- 32:54double-unders is just not, I don't know.
- 32:57I'm not saying that because
- 32:58I hate double-unders.
- 33:01It was not fun to watch.
- 33:02You can't see who's winning.
- 33:05I don't know.
- 33:06Make it part of the buy-in.
- 33:08I didn't love,
- 33:08I didn't love the program for that one.
- 33:10The lift is what it is.
- 33:14The little three rounder I
- 33:17thought was a very, very fast workout,
- 33:18which we called was going to be very,
- 33:20very fast and no reps play
- 33:22a big role because you're
- 33:23asking athletes to move
- 33:24super fast on simple movements.
- 33:29Um,
- 33:31Workout six, I hate watching GHGs now.
- 33:33I just can't stand watching GHGs anymore.
- 33:35They were so bad.
- 33:37I don't do that technique,
- 33:39but the amount of athletes
- 33:40that do it now where their
- 33:41butt is so high up,
- 33:46it's just this movement has
- 33:47changed so much.
- 33:49Yeah.
- 33:50I wanted to take a picture
- 33:51of the one guy I saw.
- 33:52It was one of the first heats of men.
- 33:57Literally, it looked like
- 33:59It looked like he was doing, like,
- 34:01incline bench sit-ups the way he would.
- 34:04Like, I don't even understand why.
- 34:06I don't know.
- 34:07Like, it's just,
- 34:08they're just sitting so
- 34:09high up at the top.
- 34:10Their knees are fully bent.
- 34:13And it just looks way
- 34:14different than what it used to look like.
- 34:17And then the finale being
- 34:18Isabel was boring.
- 34:21extremely... Like,
- 34:21it's not a finale workout.
- 34:23Agreed.
- 34:24Don't know why it was thrown in there.
- 34:26They didn't need that second strength test,
- 34:29and it was boring as a finale.
- 34:33So,
- 34:33I didn't particularly like the
- 34:34programming in terms of, like,
- 34:38the movements or viewership,
- 34:41but the top athletes still
- 34:44were the top athletes, regardless.
- 34:45Like,
- 34:47it didn't change who was going to get
- 34:48the spots.
- 34:49Like,
- 34:50Moritz did great.
- 34:51Roman got his spot, dominated.
- 34:53Lucy dominated.
- 34:54Elisa did well, and Choi as well.
- 34:57Better than I thought,
- 34:57but really did well.
- 34:59Andrew Hiller says,
- 35:00bring back the ab mat setup.
- 35:03The GHDs look awful.
- 35:04That new technique that
- 35:05everybody's using just looks,
- 35:09it's just ugly.
- 35:10When did that start?
- 35:11Like two years ago?
- 35:15at least.
- 35:15Yeah.
- 35:16I think people tried to get away with it,
- 35:17but it was always like not
- 35:22allowed by the standard.
- 35:23And it seems like people are
- 35:24just being looser with the
- 35:26standard these days.
- 35:30This was the first comp that
- 35:31we saw handstand pushups to
- 35:33so far out of the three
- 35:34comps that we've seen,
- 35:35there hasn't been handstand pushups,
- 35:37neither in the semifinals
- 35:38of age group or teams.
- 35:40So yeah,
- 35:43Um, the deficit strict really, um,
- 35:46held up one of the
- 35:48Norwegian girls that was doing very,
- 35:50very well.
- 35:51Um, she couldn't do the, well,
- 35:54she did get through the ten, um,
- 35:56strict deficit handstand pushups,
- 35:58but that was a huge hole for her.
- 36:00And she was in a position
- 36:01where I thought she was
- 36:02going to beat Choi for that
- 36:03second position and lost it
- 36:05on that workout with just that movement.
- 36:08So the importance of that
- 36:10strict deficit handstand pushup was...
- 36:12Like, that was her ticket.
- 36:17Hiller then adds,
- 36:18Yonakoski did the GHDs the right way,
- 36:20but also didn't qualify.
- 36:21I'm not sure that's a direct correlation,
- 36:26but good point.
- 36:32All right.
- 36:36So I'm on the road,
- 36:37my iPad keeps shutting off
- 36:38as I'm doing this.
- 36:39So the broadcast that was
- 36:42done by Bee Friendly Fitness,
- 36:44so glad we had one.
- 36:46I wanna say that upfront.
- 36:50Eighteen lanes or whatever it was they had,
- 36:54nearly impossible for one or two,
- 36:57one mobile and one
- 36:58stationary camera to get
- 37:00that whole floor.
- 37:02I thought it was a valiant
- 37:03effort by Brian.
- 37:06And I think that,
- 37:08I think it was either Sivan
- 37:10or Hiller that said, the problem is,
- 37:13is Brian is doing every
- 37:15aspect of the production.
- 37:17So he's doing the camera work,
- 37:18he's doing the directing,
- 37:19he's doing the color commentating,
- 37:21he's doing everything.
- 37:22And so it's hard like to do
- 37:25twenty percent of
- 37:26everything and be a hundred
- 37:28percent good on all of those things.
- 37:31And my question to you is,
- 37:33while I thought it was
- 37:36It was a good enough.
- 37:36And because the bar is set
- 37:38that it's just Brian doing this,
- 37:40that I was cool with it on this one,
- 37:42but how long are we going
- 37:43to accept that as the bar?
- 37:47And, and he said on the froning podcast,
- 37:50he can do any competition for five grand.
- 37:56Maybe we can do it for ten
- 37:57grand and get someone to
- 37:59help him out a little bit
- 38:01with maybe another camera
- 38:04or some more commentary or
- 38:07something like that.
- 38:15I work for the state.
- 38:16I'm used to lowest bid wins.
- 38:19But maybe there's something
- 38:21a little bit better than five grand,
- 38:24but not two hundred grand.
- 38:30Right.
- 38:31So I do appreciate that we had it.
- 38:33Yeah.
- 38:33Like I thought,
- 38:34I thought he did a really good job.
- 38:35I think a lot of the events,
- 38:36like they often only zoom
- 38:38in on one person.
- 38:40And I actually like enjoyed
- 38:42being able to see some of
- 38:43the races better.
- 38:44Cause he was doing a wide shot.
- 38:46And I think that's a shot
- 38:47that's missing a lot of
- 38:49times in competition.
- 38:50Like we just,
- 38:52we would just find zooming
- 38:53into one athlete,
- 38:55but we just zoom in the
- 38:55whole time to one athlete
- 38:57and you have no idea who is
- 38:59like where they are in the workout.
- 39:02Um,
- 39:04Yeah, I agree with Carolyn there.
- 39:08I can't stand the
- 39:09professional CrossFit
- 39:10footage coverage that
- 39:13we get, I mean, even, even at mayhem,
- 39:15like zooming in on people
- 39:17crossing the finish line is
- 39:18my biggest pet peeve.
- 39:20I think Brian's coverage is
- 39:21so much better and he is
- 39:23telling the race.
- 39:24You can follow along what's going on.
- 39:27Sure.
- 39:28There was day one.
- 39:29I mean,
- 39:29I think he had the one camera that
- 39:31was like shaking with the music or,
- 39:34I mean,
- 39:34there were some things that needed
- 39:36to be cleaned up, but I mean,
- 39:38Saturday and Sunday's coverage,
- 39:39I thought was excellent.
- 39:41He says the names of the,
- 39:43he knows the names of the athletes.
- 39:45He pulls out stats.
- 39:46It's like watching a baseball game, right?
- 39:48With how he's just like quickly, um,
- 39:52getting facts on athletes
- 39:53and calling the race at the same time.
- 39:55Like, like I enjoyed it.
- 39:56And then the odd time would
- 39:58be closer into certain
- 39:59athletes as the race would
- 40:01progress a little bit more.
- 40:03Um,
- 40:04Yeah, I enjoyed it.
- 40:05And if it's like these these
- 40:09competitions aren't getting
- 40:10any help really from CrossFit.
- 40:11So it's very expensive to
- 40:13put on a broadcast like the
- 40:15Mayhem one that is costing
- 40:17like hundred thousand
- 40:18dollars or whatever it is.
- 40:20So for him to be able to put
- 40:22something like this on is great.
- 40:25And it allows the comps to
- 40:27keep going because.
- 40:28We want to be able to see
- 40:30the coverage as fans of the sport.
- 40:32If you're an athlete competing,
- 40:34giving the link to someone
- 40:36and never seeing yourself
- 40:37on the video is annoying.
- 40:39Never seeing your lane.
- 40:41I thought that I liked it.
- 40:44It's allowing the comps to
- 40:46run their event without
- 40:49paying so much for the broadcast.
- 40:52It was good.
- 40:53Kudos to Brian and
- 40:56the helpers that he had
- 40:57there to allow the
- 40:59competition to be seen
- 41:00because it is expensive.
- 41:03So I noted in the final event,
- 41:07I noted in the final event
- 41:09that the final heat had two
- 41:11thousand people watching.
- 41:15Of the women's heavy Isabel.
- 41:19Most of them had like twenty
- 41:20K views like afterwards and
- 41:22stuff like that.
- 41:22That's why I said live in
- 41:25the moment they had two K. Again,
- 41:31I think what Herbert, is it Herbert,
- 41:33said up here is dead on
- 41:38that considering it was
- 41:40just Brian running around,
- 41:41like I thought it was great.
- 41:43All things considered.
- 41:44The first event he was
- 41:45literally running around.
- 41:47Better than not seeing the event at all.
- 41:48Thankful for it.
- 41:50I agree.
- 41:50One hundred percent.
- 41:52It was better than not seeing it all.
- 41:53I'm so happy that he did it.
- 41:56I'm just thinking, like,
- 41:57can we slowly raise the bar
- 42:00from five grand to maybe
- 42:02ten or fifteen grand and
- 42:04get a couple people on the
- 42:05broadcast and a couple
- 42:07cameras to just make it a
- 42:09little bit better?
- 42:11Because I do like the idea of the,
- 42:15like Brian doing this and
- 42:16Siobhan doing this and
- 42:17trying to keep those costs
- 42:19low so that we can see more events.
- 42:24But I just,
- 42:26I don't want it to then also
- 42:28say we can get bare bones for five grand.
- 42:32So that now we're just going
- 42:33to do bare bones so we can turn a profit.
- 42:37You know what I mean?
- 42:37Like,
- 42:39there's got to be a happy in between
- 42:41somewhere.
- 42:47Yeah, no, he did a good job.
- 42:53And according to Patrick,
- 42:54he did not get paid for it,
- 42:55which is... He has such a... Like,
- 42:59he's so passionate about
- 43:00the European athletes and
- 43:01knows so much about it that...
- 43:04there's not many other
- 43:05better people that could,
- 43:06that could cover that, that field.
- 43:08Like he's so knowledgeable in that field.
- 43:10So.
- 43:17Okay.
- 43:19So that's Wadland.
- 43:20We've got four tickets punched.
- 43:23The teams had to submit
- 43:25their scores at eight o'clock tonight,
- 43:28Eastern time, five PM Pacific.
- 43:30So those are all in and locked in.
- 43:34And then the video review
- 43:37will start up here this week.
- 43:43Are they getting publicly
- 43:44reviewed as well?
- 43:46Last time the videos took a
- 43:48bit to populate on the site.
- 43:50Like normally it's an hour
- 43:51after the close of the leaderboard.
- 43:54So like in fifteen minutes,
- 43:55the leaderboard would be live.
- 43:56But it didn't go live last
- 43:57time for the age group
- 43:58until maybe two hours almost after,
- 44:00I would say.
- 44:04Is there a leaderboard
- 44:04already for the teams?
- 44:06Like how many signed up?
- 44:09I didn't look at the signups,
- 44:10but there is a leaderboard for the teams.
- 44:14There is a leaderboard.
- 44:21Mike says no public review.
- 44:23No, no, no video.
- 44:25It's up.
- 44:26That's what I figured,
- 44:27because they weren't doing video.
- 44:30They just said have it in
- 44:31case we ask for it.
- 44:33It was a different process for teams.
- 44:35So the leaderboard is there right now.
- 44:37You can open it.
- 44:39Unless I'm looking at the wrong thing.
- 44:40Semifinals, team, twenty twenty five.
- 44:43Yeah.
- 44:45It's up.
- 44:45Okay.
- 44:46They were fast.
- 44:47Let's take a look.
- 44:51Mayhem got tenth.
- 44:52Invictus eleven.
- 44:53They're so good that that
- 44:57CrossFit also Krieger like
- 44:58they have so many great
- 44:59athletes right now I think
- 45:01they've been some of the
- 45:02most impressive athletes um
- 45:04oh my god eighth day is
- 45:06twentieth wow training
- 45:09think tank right on the
- 45:10bubble yes uh so let's read
- 45:14down the list the first
- 45:15place is Oslo uh Krieger
- 45:18then we have CrossFit
- 45:19Butcher's Lab Van Loos do
- 45:21you want to share the
- 45:22screen I can't I'm on the
- 45:25road I don't have double screens
- 45:27Are you able to, Jamie?
- 45:31I can do it, but then I go blind.
- 45:34So I'll do it.
- 45:34Just hold on.
- 45:35All right.
- 45:39I've got to get it up on
- 45:39this computer first.
- 45:43One Canadian team stuck in there.
- 45:45Let's see what they're all saying.
- 45:52Here we go.
- 45:55So I can't see you guys while I do this.
- 45:57Okay.
- 45:59So I can't see what it looks like.
- 46:01Can you guys see it all?
- 46:03Yes.
- 46:03Does it need blown up?
- 46:05Yeah.
- 46:05You could zoom in a little bit.
- 46:06That's good.
- 46:09Yeah.
- 46:10Perfect.
- 46:10So first place is also crack Kriger,
- 46:12CrossFit butchers lab, van Lewis,
- 46:14CrossFit undivided, uh,
- 46:17CrossFit rep rare mayhem Canadian team.
- 46:23CrossFit Fureset Kriger,
- 46:26CrossFit Eleven Twenty-Four,
- 46:28CrossFit Body Blueprint Conquer,
- 46:31CrossFit Greater Heights,
- 46:33Blueprint CrossFit Team AOD,
- 46:37CrossFit Mayhem, CrossFit Invictus,
- 46:38CrossFit Proven,
- 46:40CrossFit for Friends Smart,
- 46:42CrossFit Francos, CrossFit Prestanda,
- 46:46Camp Rhino,
- 46:48camel city q-twenty-one ttt
- 46:52eighth day and on the
- 46:54outside looking in or
- 46:55hendersonville mayhem
- 46:57cross-victorian proven
- 46:59crossfit downtown atlanta
- 47:05looks like um oslo may have
- 47:07found a way around the
- 47:09affiliate thing by finding a bunch
- 47:28They've done the mayhem model.
- 47:32Yeah.
- 47:37Yeah.
- 47:37Andrew, I'm okay.
- 47:38I'm just in a dry hotel room.
- 47:47Any surprises on the outside?
- 47:48I don't really know the Tori
- 47:54and proven team.
- 47:54Do you know who was on that?
- 47:58And we can click on it.
- 48:01Torian proven.
- 48:02What are we looking for?
- 48:08Ronnie Sykes, Riley Martin, Moses Patello,
- 48:14Briony, Briony Chalice.
- 48:17Yeah.
- 48:22Invictus.
- 48:23I think that's Spiegel's team, right?
- 48:26Kilo two.
- 48:28Did not make it.
- 48:29Krypton.
- 48:30Yep.
- 48:30I see Krypton too.
- 48:31Yep.
- 48:33PSC Invasion.
- 48:34That's a local team here in Toronto.
- 48:36They've been at the games
- 48:37last couple years.
- 48:42It's competitive for top
- 48:43twenty in a running workout
- 48:45and a lifting workout.
- 48:49That affects forty percent of the scores.
- 48:52Like that's too big.
- 48:53That's two events that can have some
- 48:57outliers sometimes for the
- 48:59lifts or in the run,
- 49:01it will be interesting.
- 49:03There's no way to see who's on a team.
- 49:06You have to click your profile.
- 49:09So you click on, do the profile,
- 49:11scroll all the way to the top of that.
- 49:13And then you'll see either
- 49:15like four or six names there.
- 49:19It should be an easier way to do it.
- 49:22Like,
- 49:22I wish that you could see the
- 49:23athletes a little bit
- 49:24easier on like the profiles.
- 49:27Yeah, it is not super intuitive.
- 49:28Yeah, once you've clicked in,
- 49:29you got to scroll to the
- 49:30very top of the leaderboard to see it.
- 49:32It's it's dumb.
- 49:36OK, there it is.
- 49:39So there was a total of one
- 49:42hundred and twenty six
- 49:43teams that submitted a
- 49:44score for every single event.
- 49:47Wow.
- 49:49And.
- 49:52A few a few teams didn't submit scores.
- 49:54One, two, three.
- 49:56Four, five, six, seven, eight,
- 49:58nine teams didn't submit scores.
- 50:00I wonder if it's the third
- 50:01judge being a factor or something else,
- 50:04but.
- 50:16So I don't know if that's a
- 50:17good turnout or not
- 50:18compared to other years.
- 50:19I'd have to,
- 50:22it seems like that seems like
- 50:23a pretty good turnout.
- 50:26Is it?
- 50:27I think so.
- 50:30I mean, it's what top twenty four teams,
- 50:32right?
- 50:33Yeah, I guess.
- 50:35I mean,
- 50:35last year you had the you had the
- 50:37quarterfinals and then only
- 50:38like forty teams got to move on.
- 50:40So I guess I don't know how.
- 50:45It's tough to say how it compares.
- 50:46Yeah, I don't know.
- 50:54It's nice that they put the
- 50:56leaderboard up fast, though.
- 50:57I like that.
- 50:58Top-twenty teams go, Judy.
- 51:02So now there's no reviews of any videos.
- 51:07And I guess we won't ever
- 51:09get to see some of these runs.
- 51:11I was really hoping that we
- 51:12could just randomly click one run.
- 51:16Thirty to forty teams per
- 51:17region last year.
- 51:20And there was, what, seven regions?
- 51:24Yeah.
- 51:25So you're what?
- 51:26Two hundred ten at least.
- 51:33So twelve out of the twenty
- 51:34teams are from North America.
- 51:43Wait, maybe thirteen.
- 51:43I didn't count Canada, maybe.
- 51:52About to count my own country.
- 52:02Yeah,
- 52:05I want to see some videos of these runs,
- 52:06and I am sure there are
- 52:08people out there and in the
- 52:10chat that will find some videos of runs,
- 52:14and we'll probably see them
- 52:14on Instagram this week.
- 52:16Like for the most part, I wouldn't accept,
- 52:18I wouldn't expect it from
- 52:19like the top teams that are
- 52:21regular top teams,
- 52:22which for the most part,
- 52:23I feel like I recognize
- 52:25most of these top teams.
- 52:27Like if there's cheating involved,
- 52:29I don't know,
- 52:30maybe it's just my assumption.
- 52:31It would be from relatively
- 52:33unknown teams that would
- 52:35try to make their way in.
- 52:40But I wish they'd go ahead.
- 52:44We've talked about on the
- 52:46individual side or the
- 52:47master side that when you
- 52:49require them to submit their videos,
- 52:51then the movement got
- 52:53better pretty globally.
- 52:55There were still some bad movers in there,
- 52:58but it improved
- 52:59tremendously by just
- 53:00forcing them to put a video out there.
- 53:03Why not make that unanimous
- 53:05across all divisions, team, individual,
- 53:10age group?
- 53:11Yeah, I'm not sure why you wouldn't.
- 53:12And force them to put a
- 53:12public video out there for every workout.
- 53:15Such a novel idea.
- 53:17It makes no sense to not do
- 53:18it for the teams.
- 53:19No sense at all.
- 53:20Yeah.
- 53:25None at all.
- 53:29I mean.
- 53:29Like I love that I was able to.
- 53:30We wouldn't have issues we have today.
- 53:33Yeah.
- 53:33I love that I was able to
- 53:34like see my competitors' videos.
- 53:37Like I want to be able to see.
- 53:40why they got certain scores
- 53:41how they got certain scores
- 53:42it's also an opportunity to
- 53:43kind of scout your
- 53:45competition so that when
- 53:46you do come in person you
- 53:47kind of know who's good at
- 53:48what how they move what
- 53:49kind of reps they like to
- 53:50do maybe it's the like
- 53:53hockey player in me that
- 53:54likes to video analyze but
- 53:56um it's just a way that you
- 53:58could see and learn from
- 53:59your competitors so I I
- 54:01love the video um being public there
- 54:04And not sure why they
- 54:06wouldn't do it for the teams.
- 54:07I've said that a lot in the past few years,
- 54:11especially in the Masters.
- 54:13There are not enough
- 54:14in-person events to see
- 54:18these people move and to
- 54:21gauge your competition.
- 54:23And yeah,
- 54:24there's a time where you're like,
- 54:26you might get ten minutes on a workout,
- 54:28and you see a nine minute,
- 54:29and you're like,
- 54:29how is that even possible?
- 54:30And you go watch, and you're like, well,
- 54:33I guess, yeah, I was too slow here.
- 54:35I stood around five seconds here.
- 54:36Like,
- 54:36you don't think about those things
- 54:38until you see somebody else
- 54:40complete a workout, and you're like,
- 54:41shit.
- 54:42Like, I'm slow here.
- 54:43Like, my transitions weren't good.
- 54:46But then also just like when
- 54:47you actually compete against them,
- 54:49sometimes you kind of learn
- 54:50from the videos.
- 54:52Okay, if there's thirty reps,
- 54:53they like doing twelve, ten, eight.
- 54:55Right.
- 54:55You know,
- 54:55and you just kind of know
- 54:56people's strategies of what
- 54:59they like to do so that you
- 55:01know who you're chasing and
- 55:02who you're not chasing,
- 55:02maybe in certain wads.
- 55:05Andrew Stens says,
- 55:06probably not in the budget
- 55:07since CrossFit paid judges
- 55:08to review age groups and
- 55:09will pay the judges for the individuals.
- 55:11I'm not asking you to pay
- 55:13anybody to review the video,
- 55:14but when you have to make
- 55:15it public and for the world to see,
- 55:18your movement standards are
- 55:19going to get better.
- 55:22And it just helps validate the scores too,
- 55:24know that they're legit.
- 55:25Yeah.
- 55:25Yeah.
- 55:29You see the stats?
- 55:31Once again, North America East.
- 55:37Such a tough region.
- 55:43Out of the top twenty teams, six Europe,
- 55:45nine North America East,
- 55:46four North America West,
- 55:48one South America.
- 55:49It's just crazy.
- 55:54Unofficially.
- 55:55Well, yeah.
- 55:59Unofficially.
- 56:00I've seen age groups get
- 56:02their emails welcoming them
- 56:06to the CrossFit Games this week.
- 56:08So those have all gone out.
- 56:10I've actually had a request
- 56:12to do a show video of
- 56:15things to do in Columbus
- 56:17and maybe good spots to get
- 56:18like hotels and places to stay.
- 56:23So I will do that in the
- 56:25next couple weeks once I get home.
- 56:27um I'll tool around downtown
- 56:29around the convention
- 56:30center um show some
- 56:32restaurant hot spots but
- 56:33there's so much in walking
- 56:35distance from the columbus
- 56:36convention center that of
- 56:38like things to do and
- 56:39things to eat and then I'll
- 56:41try to I'll get like a list
- 56:42of the good hotels to stay
- 56:44at um from the closest to
- 56:47where it's acceptable to be
- 56:49um because you are
- 56:52dangerously close to a
- 56:54couple areas you don't want to be in
- 56:57in a hotel wise around the
- 56:58convention center good so
- 57:02yeah um carolyn have you
- 57:06signed up yet yeah right
- 57:08away yeah so that went up
- 57:12to four hundred dollars I
- 57:14feel like everything's gone
- 57:15up in price I didn't know
- 57:16whether that was the like I
- 57:18feel like that was not
- 57:19regular games like the
- 57:20individual games I want to say I've paid
- 57:23Two fifty or three hundred three.
- 57:25I think it was.
- 57:26Yeah.
- 57:26Three hundred three hundred
- 57:27for the individual CrossFit games.
- 57:29And then this one was four hundred,
- 57:31which was the same as the
- 57:33NorCal that I paid.
- 57:35I was like, damn,
- 57:36these are getting expensive.
- 57:38And I noticed no.
- 57:42Like last year,
- 57:43I feel like when we submitted our entry,
- 57:46there was and I know I know
- 57:47there ended up being like a
- 57:48follow up email, but.
- 57:49I think there was a spot for
- 57:50like shoe size, shirt size, short size.
- 57:53And that was not in our
- 57:55registration this year.
- 57:56That's right.
- 57:57Cause normally there is a
- 57:58little bit of information
- 58:00you have to fill out as you register.
- 58:02I didn't think about that.
- 58:02So if it went up and we
- 58:04aren't getting anything,
- 58:07there's going to be a lot of nada.
- 58:08Well,
- 58:09there's been no announcement either
- 58:10on the prize breakdown.
- 58:13Prize sponsor.
- 58:14Who's the, who's the,
- 58:17apparel sponsor?
- 58:18Like, that's the thing.
- 58:19Is it that knee company with the V?
- 58:22The skipping rope one?
- 58:22Yeah, it's not that one.
- 58:24I don't... Why was I
- 58:26thinking that they were a
- 58:27sponsor of the age group?
- 58:32I think just... I think just, like,
- 58:35grips and... I think
- 58:37Valites is doing what?
- 58:38Are they... Someone's doing
- 58:39footwear and something for
- 58:42the individual.
- 58:42I'm not sure.
- 58:45I don't know.
- 58:48But there's been no,
- 58:49I feel like there's been
- 58:49zero announcement for masters,
- 58:52any type of sponsorship.
- 58:55Yeah.
- 58:57Would you rather have a
- 59:00sponsor with clothes you
- 59:02don't like wearing and a
- 59:03requirement to wear it anyway,
- 59:04or just get to wear
- 59:06whatever clothes you want
- 59:07and forget the sponsor?
- 59:12I like having a uniform.
- 59:13I think it looks nice to have a uniform.
- 59:15I just don't want to be
- 59:16wearing... I don't wear crop tops.
- 59:20I hate crop tops.
- 59:22At the games,
- 59:23half of my uniform is given
- 59:25crop tops or a sports bra
- 59:27because they assume that
- 59:28every girl takes their
- 59:29shirt off and that should
- 59:30be part of your uniform.
- 59:31I'm like,
- 59:32I just want a t-shirt to work in
- 59:34or a longer tank top.
- 59:35I feel like I never have enough...
- 59:40clothing when it's a uniform
- 59:42given um but I like I don't
- 59:45mind the uniform I like
- 59:46having it with like your
- 59:47name on it or your uh
- 59:49affiliate that you
- 59:50represent um stuff like
- 59:52that but you can also do
- 59:53that if you wear your own
- 59:54clothes you know I just
- 59:55think it looks more uniform
- 59:57that way with the numbers
- 59:58and everything yeah I don't
- 1:00:02know I I mean I feel like
- 1:00:04denise votes for
- 1:00:11Go ahead, Jamie, finish.
- 1:00:13I just feel like you can't
- 1:00:14take away the gear package.
- 1:00:15They've already taken away so much.
- 1:00:18That is part of the reason
- 1:00:20people sign up to do these things.
- 1:00:26Yeah.
- 1:00:27Yeah, I also don't do those short shorts,
- 1:00:30too, that are, like, up my... I like the,
- 1:00:33like,
- 1:00:33longer shorts where the barbell's
- 1:00:35not scraping my thighs and stuff.
- 1:00:37So I guess everyone has
- 1:00:38their particular...
- 1:00:43I wish that you could write
- 1:00:45what kind of style you like.
- 1:00:47I want the longer spandex.
- 1:00:49Give me three of this versus
- 1:00:52three different ones.
- 1:00:55Sometimes I'm like, I can't be too picky.
- 1:01:00Judy says, send me your crop tops and bras,
- 1:01:01Carolyn.
- 1:01:02I'll Venmo you.
- 1:01:05I don't have Venmo.
- 1:01:08And Lynn makes a great point.
- 1:01:09Sadly,
- 1:01:09we won't know who's who then in
- 1:01:11masters if we don't at
- 1:01:12least see their names.
- 1:01:14Yeah.
- 1:01:14That actually is a great point.
- 1:01:16It just is.
- 1:01:16It's easier with either names, numbers,
- 1:01:18stuff like that.
- 1:01:19Like for the broadcast team,
- 1:01:22I think it's also easier to
- 1:01:25probably talk about
- 1:01:28athletes and stuff like
- 1:01:29that if there's a number or a name.
- 1:01:34And that seems to be,
- 1:01:35I think requiring where to
- 1:01:37wear the shirt provided at
- 1:01:38least looks better,
- 1:01:39easier to keep track of
- 1:01:40people for spectators and broadcast.
- 1:01:43And Ryan says without uniforms,
- 1:01:47it would not seem like the games.
- 1:01:49Exactly.
- 1:01:57And just to rub salt in what
- 1:01:59is the master's wound right now,
- 1:02:01in twenty twenty one,
- 1:02:02we got four grand worth of
- 1:02:03swag from Noble.
- 1:02:04Hard to top that.
- 1:02:09Yeah.
- 1:02:09And Kenneth liked the uniforms last year.
- 1:02:11I thought they were fine
- 1:02:13from a look standpoint,
- 1:02:14other than how much of the
- 1:02:17logo and the names were
- 1:02:18falling off by the final
- 1:02:20day because of how many
- 1:02:22times the age groups had to wash them.
- 1:02:29Nicole asks if they provide
- 1:02:30a clothing package,
- 1:02:31are you required to wear them?
- 1:02:32Yes, you are.
- 1:02:34The last few years, it's been the clothes,
- 1:02:36but you've been able to
- 1:02:37wear your own shoes.
- 1:02:39For many years,
- 1:02:41you had to wear the shoes as well.
- 1:02:43Correct?
- 1:02:45Yeah.
- 1:02:48Grant is asking if I'm
- 1:02:49coming to syndicate.
- 1:02:49Yes, I am.
- 1:02:57Probably not TFX.
- 1:02:58Yes.
- 1:03:01Wife is going in for second
- 1:03:02knee surgery in two weeks or less.
- 1:03:06And I've got to keep my
- 1:03:08budget down to pick up her
- 1:03:15lack of work days.
- 1:03:22So...
- 1:03:27Michael McCasland says,
- 1:03:28I was told that some
- 1:03:29smaller companies inquired
- 1:03:30about title sponsorship and
- 1:03:32said they weren't even allowed to bid,
- 1:03:34assuming that's because
- 1:03:35it's spoken for and just
- 1:03:37hasn't been announced.
- 1:03:40That is more information than I know.
- 1:03:41Yeah, I have not heard that.
- 1:03:52I hope it goes well.
- 1:03:53I mean,
- 1:03:53it'll be my first Masters CrossFit Games.
- 1:03:58Can't say I've been looking
- 1:03:59forward to this day, you know,
- 1:04:00getting older,
- 1:04:00but I am looking forward to
- 1:04:04competing there.
- 1:04:05So I'm excited.
- 1:04:08But next week is the individual, right?
- 1:04:12The workouts get announced
- 1:04:13tomorrow at like three p.m.
- 1:04:16And Carolyn will be making
- 1:04:17her bid to qualify for both.
- 1:04:20the individual and the
- 1:04:21masters CrossFit games.
- 1:04:24Yeah.
- 1:04:24I've been trying to find
- 1:04:25some judges for this weekend.
- 1:04:28I'm going to take Friday off work.
- 1:04:31Just because working a full day,
- 1:04:33especially on a Friday with,
- 1:04:35teens and kids,
- 1:04:36like you just get so burnt
- 1:04:37out to try to then do the workouts after.
- 1:04:40So I'm going to take the day off on Friday,
- 1:04:42but trying to find judges,
- 1:04:43two judges that don't work
- 1:04:44Friday and they would want
- 1:04:45to take the day off to judge me, um,
- 1:04:48has been difficult.
- 1:04:49So, um,
- 1:04:52trying to find some people to help
- 1:04:53me out this weekend.
- 1:04:54So,
- 1:04:54cause like I'll be redoing workouts for
- 1:04:56sure.
- 1:04:57Cause these are the very,
- 1:04:59very important ones.
- 1:05:00Um, so yeah.
- 1:05:03Fingers crossed that I can qualify.
- 1:05:05And I'm just going to try.
- 1:05:08If I missed it.
- 1:05:11If you've already said this,
- 1:05:12will masters be streamed?
- 1:05:13I, I have not heard.
- 1:05:16I'm sure they will be.
- 1:05:19There's no way.
- 1:05:21I did talk to Joe this week.
- 1:05:25And I should be good to go
- 1:05:26for behind the scenes.
- 1:05:26I just got a.
- 1:05:30start the ball rolling with them.
- 1:05:32And he said that that was cool.
- 1:05:34And I'm trying to help him
- 1:05:35out with a few things in Columbus.
- 1:05:37So hopefully that'll build a
- 1:05:38really good relationship going forward.
- 1:05:44And then Lana asked Jamie,
- 1:05:46are you going to be able to
- 1:05:47go to the games?
- 1:05:49I've signed up.
- 1:05:51We'll see.
- 1:05:57And then Lana asks Carolyn
- 1:05:59to come to Windsor.
- 1:06:03I like my gym in Toronto.
- 1:06:04It's great.
- 1:06:08Windsor's a little bit of a drive.
- 1:06:09It'd be like four hours and a bit, maybe.
- 1:06:15Almost five hours.
- 1:06:17It would be closer for me to
- 1:06:18come to Windsor.
- 1:06:20Yeah, you're about an hour away.
- 1:06:26Okay.
- 1:06:27Yeah,
- 1:06:27I'm just curious how many wads we'll get,
- 1:06:30if we're getting running as well,
- 1:06:31if we'll get rope climbs, GHDs,
- 1:06:36a machine that people will have to use,
- 1:06:39like an echo bike or something,
- 1:06:41or a skier.
- 1:06:43Just curious which direction,
- 1:06:44because I didn't expect a
- 1:06:47running in the last one.
- 1:06:51I don't think they'll do
- 1:06:51running in individuals this year.
- 1:06:56I don't think there's a shot.
- 1:06:59And it sort of seems like
- 1:07:00they're not messing with
- 1:07:02rope climbs either.
- 1:07:03Yeah.
- 1:07:04I'm scared for the running.
- 1:07:05Cause I'm not in like
- 1:07:06running shape right now.
- 1:07:07Like we just started running outside,
- 1:07:09like in where I live.
- 1:07:11Um,
- 1:07:12normally like I try to get in better
- 1:07:13running shape by like the semifinals,
- 1:07:15which is like end of May, June.
- 1:07:18Cause that's where you see
- 1:07:19the running and here you
- 1:07:20see more of like the, in the box stuff.
- 1:07:22So that took me off guard
- 1:07:23last week and I was like, oh crap,
- 1:07:25I gotta run outside right now.
- 1:07:29but there's no way they're
- 1:07:30going to do running for
- 1:07:31individuals it's just so
- 1:07:35different running outside
- 1:07:36than like on an assault
- 1:07:37runner so different I've
- 1:07:39been doing like runs there
- 1:07:40but just not outside um yeah i
- 1:07:51It'll be,
- 1:07:52if he's running comes up in the elites,
- 1:07:54it won't, I'll be shocked after the,
- 1:07:56the blowback they've gotten from teams.
- 1:07:59Um, but you know,
- 1:08:02sometimes when faced with the challenge,
- 1:08:06they just challenge back.
- 1:08:09I don't think that they
- 1:08:09would change what they program.
- 1:08:11There's no way that they
- 1:08:12would change because like Boz said on the,
- 1:08:17the mayhem, the mayhem clip podcast, um,
- 1:08:22there's been some like
- 1:08:23variations and even like
- 1:08:24the plates that people use
- 1:08:26and stuff over the years
- 1:08:27and not everything's been
- 1:08:29you know perfectly
- 1:08:30comparable region to region
- 1:08:32on things so they have all
- 1:08:34the judges that are there
- 1:08:35to to judge and they hope
- 1:08:38that people are um honest
- 1:08:41with their things like I
- 1:08:42feel like we could see some running
- 1:08:45I just think that like the weather place.
- 1:08:46So it's such a factor too.
- 1:08:48Like you get it,
- 1:08:48like you get a bunch of wind, you get,
- 1:08:50it's just piss pouring that weekend.
- 1:08:52Like that's, it sucks.
- 1:08:56Like you should be able to
- 1:08:56do a workout that you can
- 1:08:57compare against other people.
- 1:08:59And that's not a factor.
- 1:09:01Like at least when it's
- 1:09:02raining in an in-person competition ever,
- 1:09:06you know,
- 1:09:06you're against people on that
- 1:09:09same weekend,
- 1:09:10but I wouldn't worry about it.
- 1:09:12There's,
- 1:09:13there's no way they're doing
- 1:09:14running and individual.
- 1:09:16We'll see.
- 1:09:17Yeah.
- 1:09:19I prepared this week.
- 1:09:22On, on a side note,
- 1:09:24Patrick's asking how Seth
- 1:09:25Rollins bears draft pick
- 1:09:26announcement was.
- 1:09:28Oh, I love that.
- 1:09:28It was epic.
- 1:09:31It was epic.
- 1:09:32It was everything that I
- 1:09:33wish the CrossFit version
- 1:09:34of Seth Rollins was and not
- 1:09:37in Justin's barn.
- 1:09:39But in a big clip, a lot of people,
- 1:09:41like a hundred thousand people,
- 1:09:43all booing him because he's
- 1:09:44a Bears fan in Green Bay, Wisconsin,
- 1:09:47and him going head first right at them,
- 1:09:51calling Chicago the
- 1:09:52greatest franchise in football history.
- 1:09:56Oh, it was awesome.
- 1:09:57Every bit of it.
- 1:09:58Yeah, it was, it was great.
- 1:10:04Lynn says, LOL, Jamie, just wait.
- 1:10:07You see event one is running.
- 1:10:09Not going to happen.
- 1:10:11Might be shuttles, but that's it.
- 1:10:13Jamie would just be jealous
- 1:10:15of the age group.
- 1:10:18Well,
- 1:10:18if they were going to do running for
- 1:10:23single person,
- 1:10:24it would have been for age group.
- 1:10:26They will not do it for individuals.
- 1:10:29They will not do it for the individuals.
- 1:10:30They tested it with the teams because it's
- 1:10:34Because no videos are required.
- 1:10:36No stakes.
- 1:10:37If they were going to do it,
- 1:10:38they would have done it in the age group.
- 1:10:40They will not do it for individuals.
- 1:10:41Not this year.
- 1:10:42Like Baz said,
- 1:10:44maybe it's a tester to see
- 1:10:45if they can figure out how to do it.
- 1:10:46They're not going to throw
- 1:10:47it at you this year.
- 1:10:51But yes, I would not.
- 1:10:52I would be pissed.
- 1:10:53I think we'll see the rings, though,
- 1:10:55like we saw finally with the teams.
- 1:10:57Because we didn't see the
- 1:10:58rings with the Masters.
- 1:11:02I just don't want to see heavy Isabel,
- 1:11:04personally.
- 1:11:06Yeah,
- 1:11:06do you think heavy Isabel will be there?
- 1:11:09A lot of Isabel.
- 1:11:10Yeah,
- 1:11:11that's so many times for some people
- 1:11:13to do it.
- 1:11:16I love Isabel,
- 1:11:17but I'm getting tired of watching it.
- 1:11:19Yeah.
- 1:11:23When Bron didn't go touch and go,
- 1:11:24I was like, okay, it's the same thing.
- 1:11:28If Braum would have went touch and go,
- 1:11:30I would have been psyched this morning.
- 1:11:32But when he did singles too,
- 1:11:33I was just like, okay,
- 1:11:34now we're just watching the
- 1:11:35same thing over and over again,
- 1:11:36even though he was faster.
- 1:11:38But WFP released their floor format,
- 1:11:44which is a part turf, part floor.
- 1:11:48We saw that at Rogue a little bit.
- 1:11:53Any thoughts on that?
- 1:11:56I think it's cool to see the
- 1:11:57turf like indoor,
- 1:11:59like we haven't been seeing that.
- 1:12:02You know, there,
- 1:12:02there's some sports that
- 1:12:03will use the turf indoor.
- 1:12:05So I think that just gives
- 1:12:06options for things that
- 1:12:08people haven't been able to do,
- 1:12:09or just like as the game
- 1:12:11season moves to an indoor complex,
- 1:12:15you know,
- 1:12:15things that we traditionally saw
- 1:12:17on the turf were all the outdoor events.
- 1:12:18So I just,
- 1:12:21I think that'll be cool to see
- 1:12:22maybe different things show up there on,
- 1:12:25on turf.
- 1:12:28really just like sleds right
- 1:12:29sleds yolks maybe
- 1:12:32everything else would be
- 1:12:34like I don't like lifting
- 1:12:35on turf I find it's like
- 1:12:37weird sometimes but we've
- 1:12:40like the one year at the
- 1:12:41games we did the first cut
- 1:12:44was the snatching on the
- 1:12:45turf and just feels weird
- 1:12:48like it feels a little bit
- 1:12:49soft unstable sometimes but
- 1:12:53Larry says we're going to
- 1:12:54see some touch and go at Syndicate.
- 1:12:56I hope it's Larry.
- 1:12:57If it's Larry, I'm all in.
- 1:12:59When John tests it.
- 1:13:01John will do the first few
- 1:13:02touch and go and then blow up.
- 1:13:07I'd want to do a little mini rant here.
- 1:13:10Because when we brought up WFP,
- 1:13:12I got a lot of sleepy faces,
- 1:13:14icons in the chat.
- 1:13:16And so I want to just do a
- 1:13:17little mini rant.
- 1:13:21Everybody is dogging WFP
- 1:13:23because they lied.
- 1:13:25They came out and said
- 1:13:26they're not competing with CrossFit,
- 1:13:28and then the schedules compete.
- 1:13:30And then they're not doing this,
- 1:13:33and then they bring out the
- 1:13:34affiliate program, and then blah, blah,
- 1:13:36blah.
- 1:13:37Well, MedFix is doing the same thing,
- 1:13:39and they're not getting any blowback.
- 1:13:42MedFix is doing a workout of the day.
- 1:13:43MedFix is doing an affiliate program,
- 1:13:48and they're not getting the
- 1:13:49blowback that WFP is.
- 1:13:51And they're doing the same damn thing.
- 1:13:56So why is it?
- 1:13:57Are they doing the work of the day?
- 1:13:59They are.
- 1:14:01Has Metfix set, like, I don't know.
- 1:14:05Maybe it's like this dance.
- 1:14:07So Greg Glassman came on and
- 1:14:08said they're not competing with CrossFit.
- 1:14:10He would encourage anybody
- 1:14:12who is an affiliate of
- 1:14:14Metfix to get their level
- 1:14:16one through CrossFit and go
- 1:14:18through those processes.
- 1:14:20And the reason I'm saying
- 1:14:21that it's this now is now
- 1:14:24word is that there were
- 1:14:25some seminar staff going
- 1:14:27over to Metfix and doing
- 1:14:28some things with Greg and
- 1:14:30CrossFit sent a letter saying, oh,
- 1:14:32you cannot compete.
- 1:14:33I saw that.
- 1:14:36So if we're getting into
- 1:14:37that point where now
- 1:14:39apparently there's
- 1:14:40competition because
- 1:14:41CrossFit had to send out the memo,
- 1:14:44you can't go to a competitor to compete.
- 1:14:48And yet they are not competing.
- 1:14:50They're not getting any
- 1:14:51blowback for competing
- 1:14:52against CrossFit when WFP
- 1:14:54is getting all of the
- 1:14:55blowback for competing against CrossFit.
- 1:15:03Well,
- 1:15:03people are talking about the games here.
- 1:15:05They're not stealing the sport.
- 1:15:06They're stealing the methodology.
- 1:15:10Well, not stealing it.
- 1:15:11Greg came up with it in the first place.
- 1:15:13He was the founder.
- 1:15:14But they are competing with
- 1:15:16the methodology.
- 1:15:23With another part of nutrition, right?
- 1:15:27Correct.
- 1:15:28It's supposed to go deeper
- 1:15:29into nutrition and things
- 1:15:31like that to help with a
- 1:15:33more holistic approach to
- 1:15:37the original CrossFit theology, I guess.
- 1:15:43But it's still competing.
- 1:15:45It's still competing.
- 1:15:46Yeah.
- 1:15:49I need to dig more into it
- 1:15:50because it just came to me
- 1:15:51when I was on the road and I didn't,
- 1:15:53I couldn't research while I was driving.
- 1:15:54What's their affiliation price?
- 1:15:57It's really cheap.
- 1:15:59They are like,
- 1:16:00they're way under like five
- 1:16:01hundred bucks maybe.
- 1:16:03So they're way undercutting
- 1:16:05the CrossFit affiliate price.
- 1:16:12I mean, that's sort of a,
- 1:16:17that's a reason right there.
- 1:16:21I mean,
- 1:16:21if you feel like you were loyal to
- 1:16:23Greg and you can go get this for cheaper.
- 1:16:29I mean, I know Greg's encouraging both.
- 1:16:31But I could say the same.
- 1:16:32What if you're loyal to Will
- 1:16:34and I could go get it cheaper with WFP?
- 1:16:37Go for it.
- 1:16:43So it's just.
- 1:16:48I'm a lover of CrossFit.
- 1:16:50I love CrossFit.
- 1:16:51I love what it does.
- 1:16:52It saved my life.
- 1:16:56And so I'm very loyal to that.
- 1:16:58And I don't really care if people compete.
- 1:17:00I'm just, as an observer of the space,
- 1:17:03you bring up WFP and
- 1:17:04everybody just loses their damn mind.
- 1:17:07But MedFix is competing as
- 1:17:08well and nobody's losing their damn mind.
- 1:17:12So it just seems like
- 1:17:15where's it all coming from?
- 1:17:17And it's got to be because
- 1:17:18it's run by Greg,
- 1:17:19and Greg was the founder,
- 1:17:20and people are loyal to Greg,
- 1:17:21and so that's okay.
- 1:17:26But if we're going to be
- 1:17:27pissed off about
- 1:17:28competition from one side,
- 1:17:29we've got to be pissed
- 1:17:30about the other competition as well,
- 1:17:32don't we?
- 1:17:34Either way,
- 1:17:34it's competing against CrossFit.
- 1:17:46Yeah.
- 1:17:46Are people getting emails of
- 1:17:48like what the workout of the day is?
- 1:17:49And then are they getting
- 1:17:50like a nutrition article?
- 1:17:51I guess I don't really know much about, um,
- 1:17:53like, you know,
- 1:17:55like I get the email a day
- 1:17:56for the CrossFit wide.
- 1:17:59Um,
- 1:18:00But I feel like they've been
- 1:18:01doing a lot of like when
- 1:18:03they send the email of the
- 1:18:03day for CrossFit,
- 1:18:04like they've been adding
- 1:18:05articles or stuff to read
- 1:18:07sometimes on nutrition.
- 1:18:08I get, I'm not, I don't know.
- 1:18:10And I haven't dug into it enough.
- 1:18:12I really need to do that.
- 1:18:14And I do want to make this point clear.
- 1:18:16I don't care about competition.
- 1:18:18I think competition breeds
- 1:18:19growth because when you
- 1:18:22have someone competing against you,
- 1:18:24you have to get better or you lose.
- 1:18:28So I love competition.
- 1:18:30Bring on all the competition
- 1:18:31you can and through it,
- 1:18:34we get better options as a consumer.
- 1:18:38So bring them all on.
- 1:18:40I don't care.
- 1:18:42Right.
- 1:18:43Kind of like the old CrossFit methodology.
- 1:18:47Strongest survive.
- 1:18:48You open up an affiliate
- 1:18:49across the street for me,
- 1:18:51one of us is going to do good,
- 1:18:52one of them is not.
- 1:18:54So...
- 1:19:01So get your high rocks affiliation,
- 1:19:03get your med fix affiliation,
- 1:19:06get your WFP affiliation.
- 1:19:08It's all competition.
- 1:19:09And hopefully through it all,
- 1:19:11it breeds everything getting better.
- 1:19:15When there's no competition,
- 1:19:16you can rest on your laurels.
- 1:19:18And that's what happened to
- 1:19:19CrossFit in twenty eighteen,
- 1:19:20in my opinion, with the sport.
- 1:19:23There was no competition and the media.
- 1:19:26Right.
- 1:19:26They got rid of the media
- 1:19:27because they didn't need it
- 1:19:28anymore because they're the
- 1:19:29only show in town.
- 1:19:34So,
- 1:19:38but I believe that competition makes
- 1:19:42people better.
- 1:19:44Isn't that what the sport of CrossFit is?
- 1:19:46You get better so that
- 1:19:47you're better than your competitor.
- 1:19:50I mean, we always said,
- 1:19:50if you have something that's better,
- 1:19:52like prove it, come do the open joint,
- 1:19:54like do come to our comps and like,
- 1:19:57we'll prove that our
- 1:19:58methodology is outweighing
- 1:20:01whatever you think is, is better.
- 1:20:02So I guess it's part of what
- 1:20:05we've always said, like,
- 1:20:06if you have something better,
- 1:20:08prove it type thing.
- 1:20:10And same thing for WFP.
- 1:20:11If you,
- 1:20:12if you have a better way of doing
- 1:20:13it or a different vision,
- 1:20:15do it and CrossFit will have
- 1:20:17to either continue doing
- 1:20:18what they're doing and
- 1:20:19maybe it continues to work
- 1:20:20or people will side the other way.
- 1:20:24Ken Walters is holding out
- 1:20:26for Clydesdale media affiliates.
- 1:20:29Yeah.
- 1:20:31Our trademark is in the mail.
- 1:20:36Hiller said,
- 1:20:37I think it's what CrossFit
- 1:20:39health was supposed to be.
- 1:20:40I think people think it's
- 1:20:41CrossFit two point out.
- 1:20:43And I don't disagree with that statement.
- 1:20:45And again,
- 1:20:46I need to do some more research
- 1:20:47into what their affiliation
- 1:20:48is and what this workout of the day is.
- 1:20:52And who knows,
- 1:20:54maybe it's this new lit that
- 1:20:55Amanda Barnhart and Jessica
- 1:20:57Cahoy are doing.
- 1:20:58I don't know, but let them compete too.
- 1:21:01Let us all compete.
- 1:21:07And maybe we can have
- 1:21:08something really cool on the other end.
- 1:21:17What about Fitness Horse Affiliates?
- 1:21:19That's the new Clydesdale competition.
- 1:21:26Cahoyas and Cahoots.
- 1:21:28There you go.
- 1:21:33So, yeah.
- 1:21:34Anyway, that was just my little mini riff.
- 1:21:36Yeah.
- 1:21:40Now the jokes are coming.
- 1:21:41Jay Birch, you're lit, Scott.
- 1:21:44Thank you.
- 1:21:47I am low intensity.
- 1:21:49Interval.
- 1:21:50Yeah.
- 1:21:56And the chat's been wild today.
- 1:21:58And additionally,
- 1:21:58Hiller and Halpin agreed for a moment.
- 1:22:00CrossFit disunity has been solved.
- 1:22:03There we go.
- 1:22:05Halpin said there are a
- 1:22:06hundred current and former
- 1:22:09athletes selling programming.
- 1:22:10Some call it affiliates.
- 1:22:12That's true too.
- 1:22:13Oh, yeah.
- 1:22:19Because that word's kind of
- 1:22:20been saved for the CrossFit affiliates.
- 1:22:24You definitely do see the
- 1:22:26programming use that too.
- 1:22:30I agree with this too.
- 1:22:31CrossFit has brand value.
- 1:22:32They've been around the longest.
- 1:22:34They established it.
- 1:22:35CrossFit means something.
- 1:22:37You say CrossFit,
- 1:22:38people may not know exactly what it is,
- 1:22:40but they know it's legend and it's lore.
- 1:22:48Yeah.
- 1:22:50Anyway,
- 1:22:51that was just my mini riff for the night.
- 1:22:54And again, let them all compete.
- 1:22:57Let the strong survive,
- 1:22:58and whoever is left
- 1:22:59standing at the end has a
- 1:23:01better product than we've had before.
- 1:23:07I don't know.
- 1:23:08I just have a couple quick hitters now.
- 1:23:10The AFJ was on the spin last
- 1:23:12Wednesday night explaining
- 1:23:13how everything happened that happened,
- 1:23:16and I didn't buy any of it.
- 1:23:19Yeah,
- 1:23:20I don't know if I just was like not
- 1:23:22fully focused or what,
- 1:23:23but I was confused.
- 1:23:27You know when your L-I or
- 1:23:28L-II is due to expire.
- 1:23:30I had like six emails before
- 1:23:32my L-II was going to expire.
- 1:23:36You know.
- 1:23:37And if you're a judge, you really know.
- 1:23:39Because it is something that
- 1:23:40is super important to be a
- 1:23:42judge at a higher level.
- 1:23:44So...
- 1:23:50Basically, Lynn,
- 1:23:51they said the email got lost in spam.
- 1:23:55They did say that,
- 1:23:56but it was that he did not
- 1:23:58know because the portal
- 1:24:01shows your badge of the
- 1:24:03credentials that you have held.
- 1:24:06And when it expires,
- 1:24:07it doesn't necessarily come
- 1:24:08off of your portal cover immediately.
- 1:24:13That's what they said.
- 1:24:16Like I fires December thirty
- 1:24:19first of this year.
- 1:24:20I know it.
- 1:24:22Are you going to renew that?
- 1:24:25I have to make that decision.
- 1:24:26I probably will at some point.
- 1:24:29I don't even know I don't
- 1:24:30coach anymore and I don't judge anymore.
- 1:24:33I don't know why I would,
- 1:24:35but it's something cool that I have.
- 1:24:39I should probably just go get an L to.
- 1:24:44I've done the L-II twice now.
- 1:24:47I do enjoy that course quite a bit.
- 1:24:54The L-I, I think, has been so far.
- 1:24:55I did it so long ago that I
- 1:24:56don't maybe appreciate it
- 1:24:58as much as my last couple L-IIs,
- 1:25:00but I really like the last
- 1:25:01L-IIs that I've done.
- 1:25:06And then they did say that
- 1:25:08they had him a month ahead
- 1:25:09of time as well,
- 1:25:10and he still took the floor at Mayhem.
- 1:25:14So he did know a month ahead
- 1:25:15of the expiration and still
- 1:25:16took the floor.
- 1:25:22Yeah, Tyler, you guys,
- 1:25:23I think you and John asked
- 1:25:25good questions.
- 1:25:26They just were,
- 1:25:28they were bouncing around it.
- 1:25:30And I think they talked in a circle.
- 1:25:38Jody says, why did I take it two times?
- 1:25:39Cause mine was going to expire.
- 1:25:41So I, uh, we,
- 1:25:42we host level twos at my affiliate.
- 1:25:44No, it's not my affiliate.
- 1:25:45It's my, um, Jim's affiliate.
- 1:25:48So sometimes we get, you know,
- 1:25:50it's easier for me to do it there,
- 1:25:53but I redid it before mine expired.
- 1:25:56So Patrick says,
- 1:25:57damn Scott going hard to clap.
- 1:25:59I am.
- 1:26:00He could have cost, uh,
- 1:26:02what, twenty,
- 1:26:03thirty athletes to their shot
- 1:26:04at the CrossFit Games
- 1:26:06because he was too arrogant
- 1:26:09to pull himself from the
- 1:26:10floor as a head judge?
- 1:26:12Are you kidding me?
- 1:26:14That is completely irresponsible.
- 1:26:18Well,
- 1:26:18the athletes could have checked his
- 1:26:20credentials.
- 1:26:21Sure.
- 1:26:23They could have.
- 1:26:26I'm just saying he I've
- 1:26:28known Brian clap for a long time.
- 1:26:30He damn well knew when his L
- 1:26:33two was expiring and he
- 1:26:35took the floor knowing it had expired.
- 1:26:37And that is, I was under the impression.
- 1:26:42I was under the impression
- 1:26:44that I sent an email before
- 1:26:46to cross it because my L
- 1:26:47two was going to expire.
- 1:26:50Was he an L-I or L-II first of all?
- 1:26:51L-II, right?
- 1:26:53Because I had asked if my L-II expires,
- 1:26:55do I still hold a valid L-I?
- 1:26:57And I want to say the email
- 1:26:58that I had received was
- 1:26:59that I still was going to
- 1:27:00maintain my L-I.
- 1:27:05So I wonder if that's what
- 1:27:07happened as well.
- 1:27:09I'd have to go through my
- 1:27:09emails because I recently,
- 1:27:10like this past year.
- 1:27:11If that did happen,
- 1:27:12he would be a valid judge.
- 1:27:14Right.
- 1:27:15Well,
- 1:27:15that's why I feel like maybe the
- 1:27:17communication was wrong
- 1:27:18there because I
- 1:27:20specifically sent an email
- 1:27:21that my L-II was going to
- 1:27:23expire before the next L-II
- 1:27:27that was on my affiliate,
- 1:27:28but there wasn't another
- 1:27:29one that was coming soon.
- 1:27:30And I was like,
- 1:27:30do I have to redo the L-I
- 1:27:32or redo the L-I and then redo the L-II?
- 1:27:36And they said that I was
- 1:27:39still going to hold my L-I
- 1:27:40and I could do the course for L-II.
- 1:27:43Something like that.
- 1:27:45So if he had an L two,
- 1:27:47I wonder if that's what his
- 1:27:49assumption was that if you,
- 1:27:51if it's been five years
- 1:27:52that you still hold your L one,
- 1:27:54I'd have to go back to my email,
- 1:27:55but I'm almost positive
- 1:27:58that they said I would
- 1:27:59still remain my L one.
- 1:28:00Well, CrossFit got involved.
- 1:28:02And if that's the case, they would,
- 1:28:03he would have been a valid judge,
- 1:28:08but I'm not, I'm not,
- 1:28:12He knew.
- 1:28:13He knew damn well what he was doing.
- 1:28:18And he did resign.
- 1:28:19He did resign from the AFJ.
- 1:28:20That was announced during
- 1:28:22that interview as well.
- 1:28:25So there's that.
- 1:28:29Michael McCaslin,
- 1:28:31I don't necessarily agree with you.
- 1:28:32Doubt any athlete would walk
- 1:28:33into Mayhem with the AFJ and say,
- 1:28:34I'm checking your credentials.
- 1:28:35It's definitely on clap,
- 1:28:36not in any of those athletes.
- 1:28:40Ultimately,
- 1:28:40it is the athlete's responsibility.
- 1:28:42It's your ticket to the games.
- 1:28:44You should be checking.
- 1:28:45But I get what you're saying.
- 1:28:47I get that the situation
- 1:28:50lends itself to assume that
- 1:28:52everything is in place.
- 1:28:54But as you can tell, it was not.
- 1:28:59So.
- 1:29:04All right.
- 1:29:06Man, I am getting salty with this beard.
- 1:29:10Wendy Guthrie was named head
- 1:29:11of the Safety Council.
- 1:29:13I think that is a great move.
- 1:29:16Just with everybody else on
- 1:29:17the Safety Council,
- 1:29:19her credentials are impeccable.
- 1:29:22She joins with more than two
- 1:29:24decades of experience in risk management,
- 1:29:27organizational strategy,
- 1:29:28and athlete advocacy.
- 1:29:30Prior to leading her own
- 1:29:33consulting practice,
- 1:29:34Guthrie served as Vice
- 1:29:35President of Athlete Safety
- 1:29:37at the US Olympic and
- 1:29:38Paralympic Committee.
- 1:29:40She also spent six years
- 1:29:41with the FBI where she
- 1:29:42worked in human resources
- 1:29:44and over fifteen years as
- 1:29:45an intercollegiate athletic
- 1:29:47administrator.
- 1:29:48That is directly from the
- 1:29:50article on the spin.
- 1:29:51If you want to go read
- 1:29:53everything about what Wendy has.
- 1:29:55But that is a really those
- 1:29:58are really good credentials
- 1:29:59for someone that's leading
- 1:30:01the safety council.
- 1:30:03And so I think that is a
- 1:30:05good hire about that.
- 1:30:13Um,
- 1:30:14my last bit of news and we have a
- 1:30:16couple minutes.
- 1:30:17Well, we're right at the time,
- 1:30:19but just something to consider.
- 1:30:21We've had mayhem where we
- 1:30:23had twenty athletes, a few withdraws,
- 1:30:25twenty athletes, smaller venue,
- 1:30:29packed house.
- 1:30:30You had one Wadland Fest
- 1:30:32with seventy-ish athletes, eighteen lanes,
- 1:30:37bigger venue, way less filled atmosphere.
- 1:30:44Do you think that this is
- 1:30:45telling us to what the
- 1:30:47future of CrossFit is going to look like?
- 1:30:58I mean,
- 1:31:00I think everyone appreciated the smaller,
- 1:31:02more intimate vibe of Mayhem.
- 1:31:05Easier to follow.
- 1:31:08I mean, it was a shortened weekend.
- 1:31:10That broadcast time was...
- 1:31:13easy to swallow this was a
- 1:31:15lot there's there's a lot
- 1:31:17of four heats is a lot to
- 1:31:20watch it is and the time
- 1:31:23between the events coming
- 1:31:25back to the to the stream
- 1:31:29yeah it would have been
- 1:31:30interesting to see if they
- 1:31:31picked a venue in tennessee
- 1:31:33if they would have filled out or if it um
- 1:31:37mostly just was busy because it wasn't a,
- 1:31:39I mean,
- 1:31:40it may have been a small affiliate
- 1:31:41by any means,
- 1:31:42but in an affiliate versus
- 1:31:44like a convention center.
- 1:31:48It'll be very interesting to
- 1:31:49see how syndicate plays out.
- 1:31:53They had a good turnout.
- 1:31:54I thought last year.
- 1:31:55Yeah.
- 1:31:58Well,
- 1:31:58and they were smart last year with
- 1:31:59the seating and you were,
- 1:32:01I don't know if you could
- 1:32:02tell by competing,
- 1:32:03but they roped off the top
- 1:32:04section until the bottom filled.
- 1:32:07So they pressed all the
- 1:32:09crowd down closer to the floor.
- 1:32:12And then once that filled,
- 1:32:13then they opened the upper
- 1:32:15sections in part.
- 1:32:26So it was just something
- 1:32:28that I noticed because
- 1:32:31I know like ortega said
- 1:32:32earlier that mayhem was
- 1:32:34packed because it was small
- 1:32:36it is but sometimes
- 1:32:37impressions are big like
- 1:32:39when you tune in to watch
- 1:32:41and all you see are people
- 1:32:43then it just looks better
- 1:32:45than tuning into the west
- 1:32:46coast classic and it looks
- 1:32:48like six people are
- 1:32:49watching and there might
- 1:32:51have been more people at
- 1:32:52the west coast classic than
- 1:32:53mayhem but the optics are so different
- 1:33:00Yeah,
- 1:33:00normally when... I thought it was
- 1:33:02interesting that normally the viewing of
- 1:33:06sporting events like when
- 1:33:07you film you try to film it
- 1:33:09from where the fans like
- 1:33:11are because like we've seen
- 1:33:12this like like let's say in
- 1:33:14women's hockey where like
- 1:33:15this part of the fans are
- 1:33:16all empty because the
- 1:33:17broadcast is filmed this
- 1:33:18way and they make all the
- 1:33:19fans go this way because it
- 1:33:20just looks better for uh
- 1:33:22like the viewership like I
- 1:33:23thought it was weird that
- 1:33:24the fans were this way but
- 1:33:27because the the progression
- 1:33:29of the floor goes towards
- 1:33:30the finish line um
- 1:33:32Like it makes sense for how
- 1:33:33they did it in Spain,
- 1:33:34but it was a little bit
- 1:33:35weird seeing the empty
- 1:33:36stands in the back.
- 1:33:39I just didn't expect it from
- 1:33:39Spain because they do the
- 1:33:41European semifinals
- 1:33:43normally is so sold out.
- 1:33:44But like PC said in here,
- 1:33:46like they were running
- 1:33:47multiple events at the same time.
- 1:33:49So I don't know if their
- 1:33:50other floors were busy.
- 1:33:53If athletes are competing
- 1:33:54because those athletes
- 1:33:55would normally be in the stands,
- 1:33:57maybe filling up a little bit more.
- 1:34:05Well, we can save that for another show.
- 1:34:10I know we're up against our ninety minutes,
- 1:34:12and I need to take my
- 1:34:14daughter to dinner before I
- 1:34:16head home in the morning.
- 1:34:18It's going to be our last
- 1:34:19night together for a little while,
- 1:34:21and I'll probably get teary
- 1:34:22now just saying that, but
- 1:34:25Um, but that's got to do that tonight.
- 1:34:27So I did see some questions in there.
- 1:34:30We'll, we will get to those, um, next week,
- 1:34:33like how many tickets are
- 1:34:35being sold for the games
- 1:34:36yet or how many tickets
- 1:34:37have sold for the games.
- 1:34:39Um,
- 1:34:41There's a couple other ones in there.
- 1:34:42I'll go back and I'll grab
- 1:34:44those for our rundown for next week.
- 1:34:47But next week we'll have the
- 1:34:47individuals out there
- 1:34:48trying to get the eleven
- 1:34:51men and the eleven women
- 1:34:52tickets to the CrossFit Games.
- 1:34:55So hopefully we'll have
- 1:34:57maybe some preliminary scores up early.
- 1:35:00Who knows?
- 1:35:01Every time I hope for it, we never get it.
- 1:35:04But...
- 1:35:07So anyway, Jody asks, no lunch tomorrow?
- 1:35:10Yeah, no lunch tomorrow.
- 1:35:11I'll be in an airport,
- 1:35:13probably on a plane during
- 1:35:16the lunch hour tomorrow.
- 1:35:18So we'll be back on Tuesday
- 1:35:22once I get back home.
- 1:35:23So thank you so much, Patrick,
- 1:35:26for your compliment.
- 1:35:29Like and subscribe.
- 1:35:31Yeah, like and subscribe.
- 1:35:33Didn't even say that off the top.
- 1:35:35And hit that notifier.
- 1:35:36And if you're on the audio platforms,
- 1:35:37we're there too.
- 1:35:38So you can go listen to us there.
- 1:35:41And we didn't even hardly
- 1:35:42share any screens tonight.
- 1:35:43So it should be a great audio podcast.
- 1:35:46With that,
- 1:35:47we'll see everybody next week for Sunday,
- 1:35:51Sunday, Sunday night CrossFit talk.
- 1:35:54Bye, guys.
