- 0:02Speaker 1: Roiety Big ninety eight point seven is Gabe and Angie.
- 0:05Speaker 1: We've got cloudy skies even though it looks sunny right now.
- 0:07Speaker 1: I mean, I'll take that while last, but cloudy and
- 0:10Speaker 1: a fifty four today.
- 0:11Speaker 2: Theory is going superviral on TikTok right now because apparently
- 0:14Speaker 2: you can tell how strong relationship is by testing it out.
- 0:17Speaker 2: The way you could test the theory is with a
- 0:18Speaker 2: very simple prompt of I saw a bird today, And
- 0:20Speaker 2: if your spouse turns to you and starts asking questions
- 0:23Speaker 2: about the bird, that means your relationship's in good standing.
- 0:25Speaker 1: So if you missed this, this was something we had
- 0:27Speaker 1: brought up last week as kind of a TikTok hack
- 0:29Speaker 1: or a TikTok whack.
- 0:30Speaker 3: I finally tried it last night and with mighty yes.
- 0:34Speaker 1: All right, let's see how Angie's relationship is faring. Is
- 0:37Speaker 1: it doomed or will this thing thrive? You have the
- 0:41Speaker 1: audio here it is I saw.
- 0:43Speaker 4: A bird today, A live one, dead one, just.
- 0:56Speaker 3: A love lim It did very specifically narrow it down.
- 1:03Speaker 4: It gives me.
- 1:06Speaker 3: Dead, Okay, I love you.
- 1:10Speaker 4: That was very sweet and very fall That was right
- 1:13Speaker 4: before bed and I we were just you know you
- 1:16Speaker 4: do your nighttime scrolling and I remember it. Oh, I
- 1:19Speaker 4: gotta do this, so I hit the little notes, the
- 1:22Speaker 4: voice note. Yeah, and I couldn't like I was giggling
- 1:26Speaker 4: so hard because I didn't actually think that he would care.
- 1:30Speaker 1: Yeah, this initial response like a live one or a
- 1:33Speaker 1: dead one or a dead one.
- 1:34Speaker 3: That got me question Yeah, so sweet.
- 1:37Speaker 4: So basically, if he doesn't propose to me, we're in
- 1:39Speaker 4: a fight.
- 1:47Speaker 1: We practice gratitude every single morning on Big ninety eight
- 1:50Speaker 1: point seven, and we invite you to practice gratitude with us.
- 1:53Speaker 1: There's just something about starting your day being grateful, being thankful,
- 1:56Speaker 1: being happy about something, even if it is tiny or
- 2:00Speaker 1: you think it's just a minor thing in your life.
- 2:03Speaker 1: If you ever have something you want to share that
- 2:06Speaker 1: you're like, you know what, that'd be a little victory
- 2:07Speaker 1: for me today. We love hearing about those because A
- 2:10Speaker 1: it feels good to be happy about something, yes, and
- 2:13Speaker 1: B it makes us feel good when you feel good.
- 2:16Speaker 3: That is exactly correct.
- 2:18Speaker 4: So let us know at seven oh one two, eight
- 2:19Speaker 4: oh one, nine eight seven, Gabe, I've got a little
- 2:22Speaker 4: victory that I'm very excited about.
- 2:23Speaker 3: Oh, light me up. What you got? All right? So it,
- 2:26Speaker 3: they'll arrive tomorrow.
- 2:28Speaker 4: But finally, after living here for I think of almost
- 2:31Speaker 4: eight months, I'm finally fit the bullet and got a
- 2:36Speaker 4: couch for the downstairs.
- 2:38Speaker 3: And a dining room table.
- 2:41Speaker 4: Oh you're oh yeah, yeah, yeah yeah, because well you
- 2:43Speaker 4: came over with your wife for game night and we
- 2:45Speaker 4: don't have a dining room table. We have a couch,
- 2:48Speaker 4: and then we have like a really big kitchen island
- 2:50Speaker 4: with four stools. But we've been using that and we've
- 2:53Speaker 4: been fine with it. But now that the holidays are coming,
- 2:56Speaker 4: I want the house to feel more like a home home,
- 2:58Speaker 4: and I've just been putting it off because sometimes I'm
- 3:00Speaker 4: a lazy brod. So we got a dining room table,
- 3:04Speaker 4: and then for the downstairs, we moved the putt putt
- 3:06Speaker 4: course out of the way that we Mikey had built
- 3:09Speaker 4: and we're gonna I know, I know, I know, you
- 3:11Speaker 4: love that thing. Yeah, of course, but we're putting a
- 3:13Speaker 4: couch down there, and we're gonna put a TV down
- 3:16Speaker 4: there so that way when the kids get home, they
- 3:19Speaker 4: can rule upstairs and me and Mikey can go downstairs
- 3:23Speaker 4: and finish watching what we call our grown up shows.
- 3:26Speaker 1: Hey, there you go, see that is right right there
- 3:29Speaker 1: is the most thirty year old thing I have ever heard,
- 3:33Speaker 1: which we do have coming up later on in the
- 3:35Speaker 1: show today. Things that are awesome at thirty or in
- 3:38Speaker 1: your thirties that might have been lame in your twenties,
- 3:41Speaker 1: And that is a perfect little victory. Did you finally
- 3:44Speaker 1: get that lazy boy you've always worn? Yeah, there is
- 3:47Speaker 1: something about you get that new lazy boy. You lean
- 3:49Speaker 1: back and your feet go out, and you're just like, oh,
- 3:52Speaker 1: you do this.
- 3:52Speaker 3: This is heaven. You do the little that's yeah.
- 3:56Speaker 1: My little victory today, Angie, we have been doing It's
- 4:00Speaker 1: kind of that time of the year too.
- 4:01Speaker 3: We have been doing so many crock pot meals.
- 4:04Speaker 1: Out all okay, and every day for the past like
- 4:08Speaker 1: three work days, so yesterday today or yesterday and then
- 4:12Speaker 1: last Friday and Thursday. When I get home from more,
- 4:15Speaker 1: Corey's always texting me, hey, can you do this at
- 4:18Speaker 1: three point thirty for the thing in the crockpot. Yeah,
- 4:20Speaker 1: we have had a billion leftover crockpot meals in the
- 4:24Speaker 1: fridge and I am in heaven every single morning when
- 4:28Speaker 1: I walk to the fridge, grab whatever, throw it in
- 4:31Speaker 1: the bag and come to work. So it's just crockpot
- 4:33Speaker 1: time at the Glinton House, and I love a crockpot meal.
- 4:36Speaker 3: I was just thinking about getting a crop.
- 4:39Speaker 4: I left my crockpot now in my old life, and
- 4:42Speaker 4: I feel like I think I need a crockpot. Now.
- 4:45Speaker 3: What is the meal that you have?
- 4:47Speaker 4: Oh?
- 4:47Speaker 1: We have had some chicken wild rice. We also have
- 4:50Speaker 1: this I don't even really know what you'd call it,
- 4:52Speaker 1: like a Ravioli kind of thing.
- 4:54Speaker 3: In the crock pot. Yes, oh that sounds me incredible,
- 4:58Speaker 3: so good. So we are very securely in our thirties.
- 5:02Speaker 3: That's based on these things.
- 5:04Speaker 1: So if it is crock pot meal time for you,
- 5:06Speaker 1: all right, hey, let's swap some recipes because I got
- 5:09Speaker 1: some good ones.
- 5:10Speaker 3: All right.
- 5:11Speaker 1: On the way, Benson Boone, we have the tea coming
- 5:13Speaker 1: up as well. Here on Big ninety eight point seven,
- 5:15Speaker 1: I go from Little Victory here Angie to be in
- 5:17Speaker 1: really bummed.
- 5:17Speaker 3: Aarr It magazine came out with the guy and I
- 5:22Speaker 3: don't know if I got the call.
- 5:26Speaker 1: My Christmas tree is already up. As soon as Balloween
- 5:29Speaker 1: was over.
- 5:30Speaker 2: The tree went up.
- 5:30Speaker 1: I freaking love Christmas.
- 5:32Speaker 3: I gave Halloween it's due respect. But Chris is he
- 5:36Speaker 3: my platonic soulmate.
- 5:37Speaker 1: Is this dude crazy for having his Christmas tree up already?
- 5:41Speaker 3: He said, he put it up right after Halloween. That
- 5:43Speaker 3: is the correct thing to do.
- 5:45Speaker 4: In fact, the only reason I don't have mine up
- 5:47Speaker 4: is because I don't have one yet. But I'm definitely
- 5:50Speaker 4: going to get one this weekend. But we started Christmas
- 5:53Speaker 4: movies in my house. We're oh gosh, I think now
- 5:55Speaker 4: we've seen seven Christmas movies since November.
- 6:00Speaker 3: Fir wow, it's November fourth. There's like ten Christmas movies.
- 6:06Speaker 3: You're gonna have to say no, there's so many. No,
- 6:09Speaker 3: there's so many you not to know where to look.
- 6:11Speaker 4: Oh, all right, and that's someone who's obsessed.
- 6:15Speaker 3: I know all of them. What do you type in
- 6:16Speaker 3: Christmas on Netflix or something? Obvi?
- 6:19Speaker 4: Yes on Netflix, on Peacock, Yeah, on whatever streaming service
- 6:23Speaker 4: you type in Christmas and then a plethora of movies
- 6:26Speaker 4: come up.
- 6:26Speaker 1: I feel like there are two types of people, and
- 6:28Speaker 1: we want to know which one you are.
- 6:31Speaker 3: Is it Christmas time at your house?
- 6:34Speaker 1: Or are you a no go until Thanksgiving has come
- 6:38Speaker 1: and gone? Let us know this morning at seven oh
- 6:41Speaker 1: one too eight zero one, nine eight seven you can
- 6:43Speaker 1: call us or text us, I'm a big no Christmas
- 6:46Speaker 1: until after December.
- 6:47Speaker 4: Fifth, because that's your birthday, That's right.
- 6:50Speaker 3: We bypassing that.
- 6:52Speaker 4: Well, no, this is how I will celebrate because I
- 6:53Speaker 4: care about you and your birthday. So for me, it's
- 6:56Speaker 4: October thirty first, obviously, that's the.
- 6:58Speaker 3: End of Halloween.
- 6:58Speaker 4: November first through the Wednesday before Thanksgiving.
- 7:03Speaker 3: Uh, that's Christmas.
- 7:04Speaker 4: Then that Thursday of Thanksgiving that's Thanksgiving okay, and then
- 7:08Speaker 4: back to Christmas except this year, then December fifth all
- 7:12Speaker 4: about Gabe's birthday, thank you, and then back to Christmas.
- 7:15Speaker 3: Okay. It puts me in a great mood. You can
- 7:19Speaker 3: mix and match a little bit. What's wrong with it?
- 7:21Speaker 4: Doesn't?
- 7:21Speaker 3: Why not?
- 7:22Speaker 4: I'm not gonna yuck someone else's young because I know
- 7:24Speaker 4: a lot of people in my life who like spooky
- 7:26Speaker 4: season all year round, and I never hate on it,
- 7:29Speaker 4: So please afford me the same respect.
- 7:32Speaker 1: Well, I just hear I'm saying, I'm a big no
- 7:35Speaker 1: Christmas until after December fifth. We had a Christmas tree
- 7:37Speaker 1: the day after Halloween. We have a Christmas tree up
- 7:40Speaker 1: at our which I am not about, but my wife
- 7:43Speaker 1: wanted it, so she won that battle.
- 7:45Speaker 3: That's my happy wife. Happy life. That's right.
- 7:47Speaker 1: We were at Walmart and well, you know, we're trying
- 7:50Speaker 1: to grab a tree or whatever. We didn't go do
- 7:51Speaker 1: the real one this year. It's just impossible with the cats.
- 7:54Speaker 1: So if I can, yeah, I apologize. But and we're
- 7:57Speaker 1: picking out a tree in this lady here's me joking
- 7:59Speaker 1: with She's like, well, do we really need this many lights?
- 8:02Speaker 1: And I was like, wow, I got the Christmas spirit. Yeah,
- 8:05Speaker 1: get the one hundred banger are Yeah? And this lady
- 8:08Speaker 1: laughs and she's like, wow, it started already.
- 8:11Speaker 3: And I was like, well, normally we.
- 8:12Speaker 1: Don't do this until after December fifth because of my birthday,
- 8:15Speaker 1: blah blah. Of course I'm saying this to a complete stranger. Yeah,
- 8:17Speaker 1: And then she was like, oh, I know exactly how
- 8:20Speaker 1: you feel. My birthday is December tenth.
- 8:23Speaker 3: Oh how fast.
- 8:24Speaker 1: It's the funniest thing at Walmart here in Fargo, grabbing trees.
- 8:28Speaker 4: I witch, are you are you already in the holiday
- 8:31Speaker 4: spirit or.
- 8:32Speaker 3: Are you waiting till after Thanksgiving Friday? Big ninety eight
- 8:38Speaker 3: point seven.
- 8:39Speaker 1: It's Gabe and Angie, Cloudy and fifty six today And
- 8:42Speaker 1: we talked to Brian on the phone about five six
- 8:44Speaker 1: minutes ago. He wanted to know who else has their
- 8:47Speaker 1: Christmas tree up. He posed the question here on Big
- 8:50Speaker 1: ninety eight point seven this morning, so let us know. Hey,
- 8:53Speaker 1: are you team Christmas decor on November first? Or do
- 8:56Speaker 1: you wait until after Turkey Day? Jane, I think falls
- 9:00Speaker 1: in the angie bucket here Jane, who texted us She said,
- 9:04Speaker 1: I have actually been watching Christmas movies since at least October.
- 9:09Speaker 3: First October she.
- 9:11Speaker 1: Gets up and does this every weekend morning with her cat.
- 9:15Speaker 4: Woah.
- 9:16Speaker 3: I think that's great. If that's gonna bring you joy,
- 9:18Speaker 3: you should do it.
- 9:19Speaker 4: No. I agree with that wholeheartedly. If it brings you joy,
- 9:22Speaker 4: more power to you. I love Halloween, though, so I
- 9:26Speaker 4: give all of October Halloween. But if you're not into
- 9:30Speaker 4: it and Christmas is where your heart is, go for it, girl.
- 9:33Speaker 3: I respect it. Jane. Emily's along with you here.
- 9:35Speaker 1: She texted, and she said our tree is up, the
- 9:38Speaker 1: lights are twinkling, and Mariah Carey has been on repeat
- 9:41Speaker 1: since November one.
- 9:42Speaker 3: So yeah, your way to go.
- 9:44Speaker 1: And then we do have a couple wait until after
- 9:48Speaker 1: Thanksgiving messages.
- 9:49Speaker 3: This one is from Josh.
- 9:51Speaker 1: He said, can we at least wait and let the
- 9:54Speaker 1: Turkey have its moment, no lights until the leftovers are gone.
- 10:00Speaker 1: I'm kind of there too a little bit. Now, it's
- 10:03Speaker 1: how hypocritical. You know, we do have a Christmas tree
- 10:06Speaker 1: up at my house. I wait, I'd like to wait
- 10:08Speaker 1: till after December fifth, so I don't even give Christmas
- 10:11Speaker 1: December first.
- 10:12Speaker 3: If I can avoid it. Here's what I think.
- 10:15Speaker 4: I think a big reason why people move into Christmas
- 10:19Speaker 4: immediately and Thanksgiving doesn't get a lot of do until
- 10:23Speaker 4: like that week is because there are not very many
- 10:27Speaker 4: Thanksgiving songs and there are not are.
- 10:30Speaker 3: There any Thanksgiving movies.
- 10:32Speaker 4: I feel like, if you want Thanksgiving, if you want
- 10:36Speaker 4: November to be a Thanksgiving month, then we gotta start
- 10:40Speaker 4: cranking out some Turkey Day hits in movies, shows, and songs.
- 10:44Speaker 3: You're blaming Hollywood.
- 10:46Speaker 1: Yes, okay, finally this is one text and hey, this
- 10:49Speaker 1: one is for to our boss here. Okay, Alex wanted
- 10:53Speaker 1: us to know, Hey, I love Christmas, but if I
- 10:57Speaker 1: hear jingle bells before Thanksgietting, I am switching radio.
- 11:01Speaker 3: Stations now piping hot today, I'm gonna show you how
- 11:08Speaker 3: he's done. And now let's fill the teeth.
- 11:12Speaker 4: Whoopsie, the big ninety eight point seven Morning Show has
- 11:18Speaker 4: crowned its sexiest Man Alive God and it is Gabe
- 11:22Speaker 4: Glyndon by default because he's the only man.
- 11:24Speaker 3: And congratulations, thank you. He took a photo shoot and everything.
- 11:29Speaker 4: You can check that out on the Big ninety eight
- 11:31Speaker 4: point seven Facebook page. But the real news is that
- 11:35Speaker 4: People magazine has crowned its Sexiest Man Alive and the
- 11:39Speaker 4: award goes to Jonathan Bailey.
- 11:42Speaker 3: He was in.
- 11:43Speaker 4: Bridgerton, That's where he got really popular. Then he's in
- 11:48Speaker 4: the Wicked movies, and of course he was wearing those
- 11:51Speaker 4: sexy little glasses in Jurassic World rebirds.
- 11:55Speaker 3: Hey, wearing some sexy little glasses.
- 11:57Speaker 4: Huh yes, Gabe, you and Jonathan have that in common, right, And.
- 12:02Speaker 1: You know what, Jennifer Yolanda Lisa, I see you laughing
- 12:08Speaker 1: at me on Facebook. Don't think I can see those
- 12:10Speaker 1: reactions to the photo shoot.
- 12:12Speaker 3: Okay, I look HoTT in there. Well, humor is sexy,
- 12:18Speaker 3: that's right. Oh yeah.
- 12:22Speaker 4: In a world of rules and gray areas, one Morning
- 12:26Speaker 4: show dares to ask the hard questions.
- 12:29Speaker 1: Is it legal to bring home a dear you accidentally
- 12:33Speaker 1: hit with your car? This is a bit morbid, Okay,
- 12:40Speaker 1: and it's sad when it happens.
- 12:42Speaker 4: M hm.
- 12:42Speaker 1: But that doesn't mean I don't have a couple jokes
- 12:44Speaker 1: for you. Okay, picture this. You are driving down I
- 12:47Speaker 1: ninety four mine in your business when bam bamby forgot
- 12:51Speaker 1: how traffic works. Okay, Now, most people they would panic,
- 12:56Speaker 1: but this is North Dakota.
- 12:57Speaker 3: Baby.
- 12:59Speaker 1: Here, if you accident hit a deer, you can legally
- 13:02Speaker 1: take it home. The state is basically saying, hey, congrats,
- 13:06Speaker 1: you got dinner. Okay, you just need to report it
- 13:09Speaker 1: to law enforcement first, because nothing says romance like explaining
- 13:15Speaker 1: to a trooper why there's a buck in the backseat
- 13:18Speaker 1: of your car by your groceries.
- 13:20Speaker 3: Oh my gosh, gez.
- 13:21Speaker 1: So next time a deer gives your bumper a little
- 13:24Speaker 1: love tap, all right, don't worry over your fender.
- 13:28Speaker 3: Just think about it. You scored some free venison, Gay Bueler,
- 13:32Speaker 3: I cannot with you.
- 13:35Speaker 1: It's North Dakota where roadkill is just drive through hunting.
- 13:42Speaker 1: Have you ever been doing something and it's like a
- 13:46Speaker 1: ton of bricks hits you right in the face and
- 13:48Speaker 1: you're like, oh my god, I'm.
- 13:49Speaker 3: In my thirties. Yeah.
- 13:52Speaker 1: The other day I was helping Corey make here. I
- 13:55Speaker 1: was just finishing off a couple of things that had
- 13:56Speaker 1: to go on this crock Pot meal and I was like, man,
- 13:59Speaker 1: I I love Crockpot Day. And I kind of stopped
- 14:04Speaker 1: and had this moment of realization, like, oh my god, I'm.
- 14:07Speaker 3: About to be thirty five.
- 14:10Speaker 1: Twenty two year old me would beat the crud out
- 14:14Speaker 1: of thirty four year old me for even suggesting something
- 14:17Speaker 1: like that, you like crock Pot Day.
- 14:20Speaker 3: It's just different.
- 14:21Speaker 4: The things that you cared about in your twenties are
- 14:23Speaker 4: vastly different than what wait day, things you joy or
- 14:26Speaker 4: you're really concerned about in your thirties.
- 14:28Speaker 3: Do you want to know?
- 14:29Speaker 1: So we're also celebrating, you know, People Magazine Sexiest Man
- 14:32Speaker 1: Alive and Big ninety eight point seven Sexiest Man Alive.
- 14:34Speaker 1: You know, one of the sexiest thing on earth in
- 14:36Speaker 1: your thirties.
- 14:37Speaker 3: What a credit scorear oh yeah? Over seven hundred? Yes, baby,
- 14:48Speaker 3: I don't know why that mac got the.
- 14:50Speaker 4: Good credit anything over seven right, I don't know.
- 14:54Speaker 3: It could never be me.
- 14:55Speaker 1: What are some things that you thought were lame in
- 14:57Speaker 1: your twenties but incredible in your thirties? This is on Facebook.
- 15:01Speaker 1: Sarah has a great answer being sober like ninety nine
- 15:03Speaker 1: percent of the time.
- 15:05Speaker 3: Oh yeah, because that means no hangover, right, Heidi.
- 15:08Speaker 1: Grocery shopping on a Friday night. Yeah, now in her forties,
- 15:13Speaker 1: she says, it's grocery shopping with the pickup or delivery,
- 15:16Speaker 1: so she doesn't even have to leave the house.
- 15:18Speaker 3: Wait to no, Heidi, Ali, I'm in my forties now.
- 15:21Speaker 1: But I am obsessed with getting kitchen gadgets.
- 15:24Speaker 4: Kitchen gadgets for the wind, the best kitchen gadget I
- 15:28Speaker 4: ever bought, highly recommend ten out of ten. No notes.
- 15:31Speaker 4: A potato ricer that did it for you?
- 15:34Speaker 3: Huh A potato Do you know what a potato riser is?
- 15:37Speaker 3: I know, I don't know.
- 15:38Speaker 4: Okay, you like bake the potato, cut it in half,
- 15:41Speaker 4: and then you put it in the riser you like
- 15:43Speaker 4: pressed down and it's almost it looks like yet like
- 15:47Speaker 4: a meat grinder butt for potatoes, Okay, and it comes
- 15:51Speaker 4: out It's so satisfying.
- 15:53Speaker 1: And here is one that if you are listening to
- 15:55Speaker 1: the Big ninety eight point seven morning Show right now
- 15:57Speaker 1: and you're, you know, drive in to work, be careful
- 15:59Speaker 1: because this might really get you going.
- 16:01Speaker 3: Here.
- 16:01Speaker 1: Things that were laying in your twenties, but incredible in
- 16:04Speaker 1: your thirties. The amount of this answer we got not
- 16:08Speaker 1: surprising at all because I'm thirty five. But everyone was
- 16:11Speaker 1: saying naps.
- 16:13Speaker 4: Oh yeah, naps and spankings the best.
- 16:23Speaker 3: All right.
- 16:24Speaker 1: Gabe's good news of the day today is about this
- 16:27Speaker 1: person who was preparing for her Halloween wedding. She's a
- 16:32Speaker 1: teacher and her name is Kathleen. She had her black
- 16:37Speaker 1: wedding gown stolen from the doorstep of her apartment.
- 16:41Speaker 3: What yeah, what a nightmare. Okay.
- 16:43Speaker 1: The dress it had taken a long time to arrive,
- 16:45Speaker 1: about two to three weeks, and Kathleen, she feared that
- 16:48Speaker 1: a replacement wouldn't come in time for the ceremony. You know,
- 16:52Speaker 1: the dress wasn't incredibly expensive, but it was still really
- 16:55Speaker 1: emotional and hurtful.
- 16:56Speaker 3: That's it would take her to be wedding dress.
