- 1:04Speaker 2: I have such a great show for you today. I'm
- 1:05Speaker 2: going to catch you up on some hot topics and
- 1:08Speaker 2: then I get into even more funny hot topics with
- 1:12Speaker 2: one of your favorites, the infamous, fabulous Ross Matthews. We
- 1:17Speaker 2: get into 90 Day Fiancé in which he is hosting
- 1:20Speaker 2: the reunion as well as many fun memories from our
- 1:24Speaker 2: past and juicy things from the Drew Barrymore show to
- 1:29Speaker 2: Inside Scoop in Hollywood.
- 1:30Speaker 1: So let's get into it.
- 1:31Speaker 2: First, let me give you some more scoop that came
- 1:33Speaker 2: out just a couple days ago in the world of Bravo.
- 1:37Speaker 2: So many people are speculating, will Vanderpump Rules with the
- 1:41Speaker 2: new cast, are they coming back or not? It's still
- 1:45Speaker 2: up in the air. And the reason people are questioning
- 1:47Speaker 2: it is because they announced that Lisa Vanderpump has a
- 1:51Speaker 2: brand new show about her life running her restaurants in
- 1:55Speaker 2: Las Vegas, which I have said Would have been great.
- 2:00Speaker 2: I'm not saying I'm a genius. I'm just saying I
- 2:01Speaker 2: do think this is great. I love Las Vegas as
- 2:05Speaker 2: far as a genre of television and film. It is
- 2:09Speaker 2: just such an interesting place. It's fun and exciting, depressing, aspiring.
- 2:15Speaker 2: I don't know what other people will be featured in it,
- 2:18Speaker 2: but like I said in the past when I've manifested this,
- 2:22Speaker 2: just manifesting mama, I've said you could have an aspiring comedian.
- 2:26Speaker 2: You could have an aspiring... aerialist you could have an
- 2:29Speaker 2: aspiring magician um actor model you know just pretty girl
- 2:35Speaker 2: looking to marry a sugar daddy I don't know all
- 2:38Speaker 2: working at the restaurant and I'm hoping they found those
- 2:41Speaker 2: interesting characters the name is great Lisa Las Vegas like
- 2:46Speaker 2: viva Las Vegas so I think it's going to be
- 2:49Speaker 2: great I predict that unfortunately I don't think Vanderpump will
- 2:54Speaker 2: come back the original one with the new cast, it
- 2:59Speaker 2: just seemed to get very little buzz. I didn't even
- 3:02Speaker 2: realize that they had a reunion. They did. So there
- 3:06Speaker 2: you go with that. There's also another new show called,
- 3:09Speaker 2: let me read that, Secret Lies, Texas Wives. It's kind
- 3:16Speaker 2: of taking off the name of The Hunting Wives, which
- 3:19Speaker 2: was such a hit. The scripted show from Netflix about
- 3:23Speaker 2: gun-toting women bisexual late-in-life lesbians that also have husbands and
- 3:29Speaker 2: are God-fearing women in wigs. There is a place called Bourne, Texas,
- 3:35Speaker 2: and they're supposedly all from there, and they live a
- 3:39Speaker 2: life while working on a ranch. I'm getting some inside
- 3:43Speaker 2: scoop about this show, that not everybody is exactly from
- 3:47Speaker 2: Bourne or they don't live on ranches. That is always
- 3:50Speaker 2: the case with these shows. You know, they've got to
- 3:52Speaker 2: cast them. They got to make the most of this production.
- 3:57Speaker 2: And remember, Kim Richards didn't live in Beverly Hills either
- 4:00Speaker 2: when the show started. So a real house was Beverly Hills.
- 4:03Speaker 2: So there you go. There's also going to be some
- 4:08Speaker 2: short vertical shows. We've talked a lot about vertical shows
- 4:12Speaker 2: lately in Hollywood, which is basically a shorter episodic show
- 4:16Speaker 2: that you watch like you would vertically on your phone,
- 4:20Speaker 2: like a TikTok. One, Madison from Southern Charm is going
- 4:25Speaker 2: to have one where she's doing people's hair and putting
- 4:29Speaker 2: in their weave while they tell them some great confessional thing.
- 4:32Speaker 2: I just want to say, do you imagine if you
- 4:36Speaker 2: spill your beans about having an affair on your husband
- 4:39Speaker 2: or something real juicy or real confessional that you would
- 4:43Speaker 2: tell your hairdresser and you give it all for a
- 4:47Speaker 2: free weave on a vertical show? Like you're not even
- 4:53Speaker 2: on a regular Peacock show. You're not making the most
- 4:56Speaker 2: of it like Risa Tisa, you know, that got 12
- 4:59Speaker 2: deals from telling her awful story about her husband on
- 5:03Speaker 2: TikTok in the 10-minute long form. So I'm guessing, though
- 5:08Speaker 2: I love Madison, she's very pretty, I'm guessing the confessionals
- 5:12Speaker 2: are very produced and they're not any life-changing juice in
- 5:17Speaker 2: which someone's life would be ruined. So, but fun little idea.
- 5:21Speaker 2: And I think there's a version of that too. A
- 5:24Speaker 2: couple other ones. We know the Gen Z, the next
- 5:27Speaker 2: gen kids of children from Real Housewives. Are they going
- 5:33Speaker 2: to be doing LA? I don't know when that's coming out.
- 5:35Speaker 2: But so those are a little bit there. And they're
- 5:38Speaker 2: doing like a one day fan fest mini BravoCon in Charlotte.
- 5:45Speaker 2: So those are the big news out of that. Dorit
- 5:48Speaker 2: and PK, my God, this is just continuing on and on.
- 5:53Speaker 2: I don't know who to believe. People are wondering how
- 5:57Speaker 2: does Dorit make this much money? He says she makes $ 3. 3 million.
- 6:02Speaker 2: He makes $ 3. 2 million a year. She spends all the
- 6:06Speaker 2: money on the clothes. He spends his life living like
- 6:09Speaker 2: a pauper, but spending all the money on the kids
- 6:13Speaker 2: and everything. you know, but nobody bothered to spend the
- 6:16Speaker 2: money on the mortgage. And now their house is in
- 6:18Speaker 2: foreclosure and it's like a few days away. So I
- 6:22Speaker 2: want to know how much was the mortgage payment, how,
- 6:26Speaker 2: you know, in her defense, she said that was his job.
- 6:29Speaker 2: And I kept, and there's texts saying that she keeps
- 6:31Speaker 2: asking about it. He's like, ignore that letter. It doesn't
- 6:34Speaker 2: mean anything. And he's saying he wants the world to
- 6:38Speaker 2: know that she is a shopaholic of major designer things,
- 6:41Speaker 2: She spent like a million dollars over a four month
- 6:44Speaker 2: period or something like that. So, you know what it
- 6:48Speaker 2: reminds me of? Betty Broderick. Betty Broderick, I'm not accusing
- 6:52Speaker 2: anyone of going down the Betty Broderick route, but when
- 6:55Speaker 2: she was going through her divorce, she was spending like
- 6:59Speaker 2: crazy designer clothes just to spend the money that was
- 7:06Speaker 2: still theirs together before it was separated. Now, It appears
- 7:10Speaker 2: that Dorit always spent this way and she just was
- 7:12Speaker 2: continuing to do it. I don't know. I don't know
- 7:15Speaker 2: if it's a hoarding situation or what. The next exciting
- 7:19Speaker 2: news is so many of you have asked me, what
- 7:23Speaker 2: was my Netflix is a joke, live juicy scoop like?
- 7:27Speaker 2: You were sad you couldn't get tickets. It sold out
- 7:29Speaker 2: right away. The audience was absolutely fantastic. So many of
- 7:33Speaker 2: you reached out and said it was one of your
- 7:35Speaker 2: favorite shows you've attended of mine. And that means so
- 7:37Speaker 2: much to me. And now I'm very excited to say
- 7:40Speaker 2: that I am doing what you guys have asked for.
- 7:44Speaker 2: And I will be releasing the extremely edgy, juicy episode
- 7:50Speaker 2: of that live show that we recorded just last week
- 7:53Speaker 2: on my Patreon this Friday. You go to patreon.com slash
- 7:59Speaker 2: Juicy Scoop to make sure that you are signed up
- 8:03Speaker 2: and you will get that on Friday. And it's so funny.
- 8:06Speaker 2: It is very edgy. You know, so if that is
- 8:10Speaker 2: not for you, then you wouldn't be a Juicy Scooper anyway.
- 8:12Speaker 2: I know you're not going to say, oh, it's too
- 8:14Speaker 2: much for me. You're going to want to go. You're
- 8:16Speaker 2: going to love it. And for those of you that
- 8:18Speaker 2: were there, you are most likely Patreon people anyway, and
- 8:22Speaker 2: you can watch it or share it with your friends.
- 8:24Speaker 2: And of course, Chris Vangela and Brady and Julie are
- 8:26Speaker 2: on it. And it was just so fun. And I'm
- 8:29Speaker 2: so grateful to be bringing it to you. So again,
- 8:32Speaker 2: you go to patreon.com slash Juicy Scoop and make sure
- 8:37Speaker 2: that you have joined You can watch that and then
- 8:40Speaker 2: all the other episodes that have piled up for the
- 8:43Speaker 2: last almost 10 years, all commercial free. Thank you. A
- 8:48Speaker 2: little more on Summer House. Oh, my God. They show
- 8:50Speaker 2: a preview of next week of West, who is making
- 8:57Speaker 2: out with Ciara. So there's three women that we've talked
- 9:00Speaker 2: about with this West character. There is the woman he's
- 9:05Speaker 2: currently with, Amanda, who is married to Kyle. There's also
- 9:10Speaker 2: a clip from this past episode where they're hugging and
- 9:15Speaker 2: kissing and they say, I love you. Like a hug
- 9:18Speaker 2: and like a kiss on a cheek. And it's a
- 9:20Speaker 2: long embrace. It's tits against chest. It's boner against crotch.
- 9:25Speaker 2: It's embracing. It's snuggling in the neck with your platonic
- 9:30Speaker 2: friend while you're married who is also screwing or had
- 9:34Speaker 2: been screwing your friend Sierra. And the I love you
- 9:37Speaker 2: just flows off. The lips. They have claimed that nothing
- 9:42Speaker 2: was going on during the summer sexually. Well, of course,
- 9:45Speaker 2: people don't believe it. My first thought when I saw
- 9:48Speaker 2: this was, can someone check on Jen Fessler, the Real
- 9:52Speaker 2: Housewives of New Jersey woman who Sierra accused of also
- 9:56Speaker 2: sleeping with West? She has denied it. She said that
- 10:01Speaker 2: West called her and spoke to the family and said,
- 10:04Speaker 2: I'm so sorry. I don't know how this crazy rumor
- 10:06Speaker 2: got started. but then also they showed a preview at
- 10:12Speaker 2: the upfronts, which is all the advertisers in which Kyle
- 10:14Speaker 2: reveals that West has also had a full on relationship
- 10:17Speaker 2: with a whole nother woman this past year. So we
- 10:21Speaker 2: might even be cheating on Amanda with her. Who the
- 10:23Speaker 2: hell knows? And then we see next week he makes
- 10:26Speaker 2: out with Sierra again. I mean, this guy, it's a
- 10:31Speaker 2: fascinating situation and I've talked a lot about it and
- 10:35Speaker 2: we even talked about it more at the live show,
- 10:36Speaker 2: which you want to get. Um, Also, according to the
- 10:42Speaker 2: New York Post, it's an exclusive. Meghan Markle is basically
- 10:46Speaker 2: the breadwinner. Yeah, we know that. And the funds are tight.
- 10:51Speaker 2: And she's focusing on growing her as-ever lifestyle range after
- 10:56Speaker 2: recently parting ways with Netflix. Money is tight. How is
- 11:00Speaker 2: she going to do it? Well, they were just at Disneyland.
- 11:04Speaker 2: I don't know that they got free tickets. And all
- 11:07Speaker 2: the photos were taken hiding the children's identities, shooting them
- 11:11Speaker 2: from the back. So obviously she allowed people to come
- 11:16Speaker 2: with her and was like, show these photos. Let's get
- 11:19Speaker 2: it out that we're just a cute family. And they
- 11:22Speaker 2: even had a moment where the little girl, Lilibet, gets
- 11:25Speaker 2: to meet the Disney princesses. And I'm like, what a shame.
- 11:29Speaker 2: Does she even know that her mom at one time
- 11:31Speaker 2: was a princess? She's going to Disneyland waiting in a hot,
- 11:34Speaker 2: sweaty line. with a bunch of commoners, when she, in fact,
- 11:38Speaker 2: is a princess, or could have been, had they not left.
- 11:43Speaker 2: I'm telling you guys, I predicted the Las Vegas Lisa
- 11:47Speaker 2: Vanderpump show. Meghan Markle is going to be on something
- 11:52Speaker 2: that features her kids and her husband sooner than we think.
- 11:57Speaker 2: Whether it's an ensemble-type show, reality, something. She's going to
- 12:03Speaker 2: have to. Pimp out those kids, which I think is
- 12:06Speaker 2: crazy because the whole thing was privacy, privacy, privacy. The
- 12:11Speaker 2: privacy tour, our kids need to stay private. We're not
- 12:14Speaker 2: safe without 24 security. Yet you're going to Disneyland and
- 12:19Speaker 2: we know what's coming because you don't have a deal
- 12:22Speaker 2: with Netflix anymore. So good luck to you. Jamie Foxx
- 12:25Speaker 2: is going to be a dad again. He has a
- 12:28Speaker 2: beautiful blonde girlfriend who I looked up the age. I've
- 12:31Speaker 2: heard anything from 22 or 30. He is 58. She's
- 12:35Speaker 2: young and beautiful, and she is having his baby, and
- 12:39Speaker 2: I'm sure they're very happy together. All of that's so interesting.
- 12:43Speaker 2: Remember when he dated Katie Holmes for like two years?
- 12:47Speaker 2: That was a weird match. He has a 33-year-old daughter
- 12:51Speaker 2: and a 17-year-old daughter from two different relationships, and we
- 12:55Speaker 2: wish them luck. He's got a bunch of pickleball courts
- 13:00Speaker 2: on his property that I played out that are real fun.
- 13:03Speaker 2: And I'm sure his kid will get a free paddle
- 13:06Speaker 2: out of it. All right, you guys. Now I'm very
- 13:08Speaker 2: excited to talk to my dear friend, Ross Matthew. It's
- 13:13Speaker 2: like two old gals laughing it up and remembering things
- 13:19Speaker 2: and getting into some juicy scoop. And here we are
- 13:23Speaker 2: with the television personality and everybody's best friend, Ross Matthews.
- 13:29Speaker 2: I have one of my favorite people on earth. He's
- 13:34Speaker 2: really grown up. He's really become a huge star. From
- 13:40Speaker 2: intern to host to the star of the Drew Barrymore show,
- 13:48Speaker 2: drag race, and now host of TLC's 90 Day Single Life.
- 13:55Speaker 2: Is that the title of the reunion?
- 13:56Speaker 1: It's 90 Day, The Single Life, The Tell All.
- 14:00Speaker 2: The Tell All. And I mean- Talk about manifesting a
- 14:05Speaker 2: dream come true.
- 14:08Speaker 1: I know. Listen, Heather, it's like I would watch 90
- 14:12Speaker 1: Day Fiance. I have since season one, right? And I
- 14:14Speaker 1: would talk at the TV. You know me. I'm an
- 14:17Speaker 1: engaged viewer. I'm invested. And I just wouldn't shut up
- 14:21Speaker 1: about this show. And I talked about it on my
- 14:23Speaker 1: social media. I talked about it on the Drew show.
- 14:25Speaker 1: And I just kept talking about it because I love it.
- 14:28Speaker 1: And then Cut to now, and I'm hosting the tell-all.
- 14:31Speaker 1: It is like I'm crawled into my favorite show. It's
- 14:33Speaker 1: like a dream come true.
- 14:34Speaker 2: And how did the offer come about?
- 14:38Speaker 1: You want to know the nitty-gritty?
- 14:39Speaker 2: I do. I kind of want to know, like, was
- 14:41Speaker 2: it just like, you know, you saw an email, or
- 14:45Speaker 2: was it something else?
- 14:48Speaker 1: There was an email, and then I was like, you
- 14:51Speaker 1: know— Aya the tiger. I knew that this was the gig.
- 14:56Speaker 1: I knew that I wanted this, you know, and so
- 14:58Speaker 1: I just convinced them, I think. And the truth is, Heather,
- 15:01Speaker 1: you know, like there are some things that I know
- 15:03Speaker 1: I'm not meant for, you know, like I'm like, I'm not,
- 15:06Speaker 1: I'm not going to be good at that. And this,
- 15:08Speaker 1: I just knew it. I knew on my bones, you know,
- 15:10Speaker 1: when I was a little kid, I used to watch
- 15:12Speaker 1: Regis and Kathie Lee with my mom. And I remember being,
- 15:14Speaker 1: I just was like, I know I'm going to do that.
- 15:16Speaker 1: I want to do that. You just see how you
- 15:18Speaker 1: know things. I just knew it, that this was going
- 15:20Speaker 1: to happen.
- 15:22Speaker 2: The car is beautiful. Where did you end up going
- 15:25Speaker 2: for it?
- 15:25Speaker 1: This exclusive place that Dad has connections with. They have
- 15:28Speaker 1: more cars for more dealerships than like anywhere else.
- 15:31Speaker 2: You have to put me in touch. What's it called?
- 15:33Speaker 1: It's Dunaidial.
- 15:35Speaker 3: Where?
- 15:37Speaker 2: Dunaidial.
- 15:38Speaker 1: There's an accent on the E.
- 15:41Speaker 2: Do you mean.
- 15:41Speaker 1: Yes, I got it on Dundale Cars.
- 15:43Speaker 3: Lift? Please.
- 15:44Speaker 2: Are you going past Kimmage?
- 15:46Speaker 1: Oh, Kimmage.
- 15:47Speaker 3: No.
- 15:48Speaker 1: Dundale Cars. You couldn't possibly go anywhere else.
- 15:52Speaker 3: I'm Darman, and this is What Happens Next. Each week
- 15:55Speaker 3: on the show, I sit down with extraordinary people who
- 15:58Speaker 3: have faced tremendous setbacks and yet somehow have found a
- 16:03Speaker 3: way to turn them into their greatest strengths.
- 16:05Speaker 1: Life is one long lesson of chaos.
- 16:08Speaker 2: I'm heading to the Emmys, and I have police complaints
- 16:11Speaker 2: filed against me.
- 16:12Speaker 1: When your free will is about to be taken from you,
- 16:14Speaker 1: what would you do if it was given back?
- 16:16Speaker 3: Where did that need come from where you thought that
- 16:19Speaker 3: you had to succeed in order to feel loved?
- 16:22Speaker 1: He said, I have a work dad.
- 16:23Speaker 3: I need a home dad.
- 16:24Speaker 1: What happens next?
- 16:25Speaker 2: When I came in, he started crying. Everybody in life
- 16:28Speaker 2: encounters hardships.
- 16:29Speaker 3: What defines them is not those hard moments that they
- 16:32Speaker 3: go through. It's about what happens next.
- 16:35Speaker 1: I decided to risk it all.
- 16:36Speaker 2: I realized how valuable every day was. You're worth the work.
- 16:39Speaker 1: Listen, Dara, I'm not going to pull punches.
- 16:41Speaker 2: You can use your voice even if it's shaped.
- 16:44Speaker 3: The stories are different, but the impact is the same.
- 16:47Speaker 3: Only one question matters. What happens next?
- 16:58Speaker 2: That's kind of the way I felt about Oprah. I
- 17:00Speaker 2: was like watching Oprah and I said, I either want
- 17:04Speaker 2: to be Oprah or I want to work on a
- 17:06Speaker 2: show like that.
- 17:07Speaker 1: I get it. Like juicy stuff.
- 17:10Speaker 2: And look at me now.
- 17:11Speaker 1: No, but truthfully, look at you now. But seriously, like,
- 17:14Speaker 1: you know what I mean? You are doing like the
- 17:17Speaker 1: 2026 version of that in your way. You're doing, we
- 17:20Speaker 1: do feel things in our bones. I also love when
- 17:22Speaker 1: you said manifest because I've never, you know, I guess
- 17:24Speaker 1: I do put the man in manifest, don't I?
- 17:26Speaker 2: Yes. You're a married man. Still, like, I think one
- 17:31Speaker 2: of the funnest destination weddings I ever had the pleasure
- 17:34Speaker 2: of going to. Such fun people. It was so beautiful.
- 17:38Speaker 1: I love that you were there in your yellow dress.
- 17:40Speaker 1: You look so pretty. It was one of the best
- 17:43Speaker 1: weddings in the history of time. It just was so fun.
- 17:46Speaker 1: Everyone was in a great mood. The energy was the best,
- 17:49Speaker 1: you know.
- 17:49Speaker 2: And how many years are you guys celebrating now? Are
- 17:52Speaker 2: you like four or five?
- 17:53Speaker 1: Literally four. It was our fourth anniversary, I think, last week.
- 17:57Speaker 1: Still going strong. It's the best. I really just think
- 18:02Speaker 1: my husband is the shit. And I think that that's
- 18:06Speaker 1: the key. He's smarter than me in different ways. I'm
- 18:10Speaker 1: smarter in a couple, maybe one other way. But he
- 18:15Speaker 1: keeps me on my toes. He thinks I'm the shit too,
- 18:18Speaker 1: but he also nudges me a little bit. I just
- 18:20Speaker 1: feel like a better version of myself than I've been,
- 18:25Speaker 1: you know, not, I just think maybe that's growth that's
- 18:27Speaker 1: getting older, but I like it. I like how I'm,
- 18:32Speaker 1: how I'm aging.
- 18:32Speaker 2: I do too. Now, I remember when you told me
- 18:36Speaker 2: how you met and you did meet in Puerto Vallarta, right?
- 18:40Speaker 2: On a vacation, you were on a vacation and you
- 18:42Speaker 2: met there. Yeah.
- 18:43Speaker 1: We met like, um, the pilgrims used to, you know, um,
- 18:47Speaker 1: in person on vacation in Puerto Vallarta, like no apps,
- 18:50Speaker 1: just like no, just like old school.
- 18:53Speaker 2: So do you think in your fascination of 90 Day Fiancé,
- 18:56Speaker 2: because I always feel like 90 Day Fiancé proves that
- 19:02Speaker 2: I don't care where you stand politically, but there are
- 19:05Speaker 2: people all over this world that will fuck some of
- 19:10Speaker 2: our ugliest citizens to become an American. And we need
- 19:14Speaker 2: to be grateful to be American.
- 19:17Speaker 1: You're such a pessimist. You are such a pessimist.
- 19:21Speaker 2: But no, I'm just saying, like, you see there's certain
- 19:24Speaker 2: couples on there that you're like, this is never going
- 19:29Speaker 2: to last. And then there's an extra thing of like
- 19:31Speaker 2: they get to be on TV, too. So imagine you
- 19:34Speaker 2: want to come to America and you think when you
- 19:37Speaker 2: think of America, you think of Hollywood. And then they
- 19:41Speaker 2: meet somebody and then the opportunity comes to meet and
- 19:46Speaker 2: to pursue this romance and be on TV. It's like
- 19:50Speaker 2: a triple header. And then we get to sit back
- 19:53Speaker 2: and watch it. Sometimes it does work out, you know,
- 19:58Speaker 2: but it's very, it is so much fun. And, you know,
- 20:03Speaker 2: there's been so many seasons and so many variations of it.
- 20:06Speaker 1: Uh-huh.
- 20:07Speaker 2: But do you think had you not found the love
- 20:10Speaker 2: of your life, would you have ever sought out, you know,
- 20:16Speaker 2: someone from another country?
- 20:18Speaker 1: Well, that's a very interesting question.
- 20:19Speaker 3: Okay.
- 20:19Speaker 1: So for starters, you are a pessimist the way you
- 20:22Speaker 1: view it. Because this is how I view 90 Day.
- 20:23Speaker 1: I view that their love has no borders. Okay. Like,
- 20:29Speaker 1: you know what I mean?
- 20:32Speaker 2: No, I totally think. I think it's– but I'm saying
- 20:35Speaker 2: an appeal– has to be that this person from another
- 20:40Speaker 2: country has a dream of possibly be living in america
- 20:45Speaker 2: but then they do then they do it the other
- 20:47Speaker 2: way too which is fun.
- 20:49Speaker 1: I do like the other way too here's the deal
- 20:51Speaker 1: i don't know that it's all about getting to america
- 20:53Speaker 1: but i do know that there are certain hurdles to
- 20:55Speaker 1: that that um are just in place when you when
- 20:59Speaker 1: you fall in love with somebody from another country uh
- 21:02Speaker 1: Would I have been open to it? Absolutely. Listen, I
- 21:06Speaker 1: love my Wellington. You know that. I like my husband.
- 21:10Speaker 1: But if I found somebody, you know, like say, you know,
- 21:15Speaker 1: online or something, I was like dating. It was like, oh,
- 21:19Speaker 1: let me fly over there and meet them. Like I
- 21:22Speaker 1: would have been open to it. I wouldn't have let
- 21:25Speaker 1: a boundary keep me from somebody.
- 21:27Speaker 2: Now, what do you think about sort of The catfishing
- 21:31Speaker 2: element of dating someone in another country that can happen
- 21:36Speaker 2: to people.
- 21:37Speaker 1: Unforgivable. Listen, a perfect example of this would be Jenny
- 21:41Speaker 1: and Sumit. If you watch 90 Day Fiancé, when Jenny
- 21:44Speaker 1: first started dating Sumit, and by the way, they have
- 21:46Speaker 1: been together and now happily married for, I don't know,
- 21:49Speaker 1: eight years.
- 21:49Speaker 2: I mean, like a long time. I know the couple
- 21:51Speaker 2: you're talking about. She is white, right?
- 21:54Speaker 3: Yes.
- 21:54Speaker 1: From Palm Springs?
- 21:55Speaker 2: Yes. Mm-hmm. And where was he from again? India. Okay.
- 22:01Speaker 3: Okay.
- 22:02Speaker 1: And yes, they went through the whole thing. When they
- 22:04Speaker 1: first met, they were talking and he was using a
- 22:06Speaker 1: different picture, right? And then, you know, came clean and like,
- 22:13Speaker 1: I would have been out, out right away. You give
- 22:15Speaker 1: me a different picture.
- 22:16Speaker 2: I don't care.
- 22:17Speaker 1: Like, you don't have to be a 10, you know
- 22:19Speaker 1: what I mean?
- 22:20Speaker 2: Right.
- 22:20Speaker 1: I'm lucky that I married a 10, but like, you
- 22:22Speaker 1: don't have to be a 10 to get with this,
- 22:24Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying? There have been a few
- 22:27Speaker 1: less than 10s along the way. So I wouldn't have,
- 22:29Speaker 1: but if you lie to me, you're out immediately. But look,
- 22:33Speaker 1: they were able to get over that little bump. But catfishing,
- 22:38Speaker 1: I think, is a red flag concept. Red, total red flag.
- 22:41Speaker 1: There are so many red flags. I wish I could,
- 22:43Speaker 1: you know what? I wish I could help people dating.
- 22:45Speaker 1: I would love to be like a wingman for people.
- 22:48Speaker 1: I am really good at it. I dated for a
- 22:49Speaker 1: long time. I liked dating.
- 22:51Speaker 2: I liked it. Yeah.
- 22:53Speaker 1: You know? And I wish I could help people through it.
- 22:55Speaker 1: People should ask me, send me a DM at hello Ross.
- 22:57Speaker 1: I will help you with your dating life for free.
- 23:00Speaker 2: Yeah. I think that you, yeah, I think that you
- 23:02Speaker 2: do give great advice.
- 23:04Speaker 1: I do.
- 23:04Speaker 2: You know, you've lived such a life. You know, you
- 23:09Speaker 2: started out just a little boy washing Regison.
- 23:13Speaker 1: It was Kathie Lee at the time.
- 23:17Speaker 2: And then you became Ross the intern, which you truly
- 23:20Speaker 2: was an intern, and then you came on camera.
- 23:22Speaker 1: Can you believe, Heather, that was 25 years ago that
- 23:24Speaker 1: I started on Leno? 25 years ago.
- 23:28Speaker 2: That's amazing. And then, you know, we met on Chelsea
- 23:31Speaker 2: Lately and, you know, had great chemistry. Though I accept that...
- 23:39Speaker 2: A guy as fabulous as you has great chemistry with
- 23:43Speaker 2: other women besides just me. And it's hard when you
- 23:47Speaker 2: realize that there's other women out there. I'm a gay womanizer,
- 23:52Speaker 2: aren't I? You are. More than anybody else.
- 23:56Speaker 1: Oh, wow.
- 23:58Speaker 2: I never thought of that. And all the girls that
- 24:03Speaker 2: you have cheated on me with, I also adore. So
- 24:09Speaker 2: I think as a serial gay womanizer, you actually have
- 24:15Speaker 2: a great picker. So I appreciate being in a great pool. Picker. Oh, picker.
- 24:21Speaker 2: You pick great women.
- 24:23Speaker 1: I thought you said I... Okay, I thought you said pecker.
- 24:25Speaker 2: No, I have a great picker. That too, yeah.
- 24:27Speaker 1: Listen, here's the deal. I never thought about this before,
- 24:29Speaker 1: but I, you know, it's not that I hit it
- 24:31Speaker 1: and quit it. I didn't quit you, Heather.
- 24:34Speaker 2: No, you have long-term. You're like... You're like Cody from Sisterwise.
- 24:38Speaker 2: You have many women.
- 24:40Speaker 1: I was going to say like Warren Jeffs, you know,
- 24:44Speaker 1: of– Warren Jeffs. That guy who had like multiple wives,
- 24:48Speaker 1: you know. I'm definitely the him of gay womanizers. Without– yeah, without,
- 24:53Speaker 1: you know– Without the like the child bride stuff. I
- 24:56Speaker 1: don't do– yeah, without that.
- 24:58Speaker 2: No, you don't do underage anything. So that's nice. No, no.
- 25:03Speaker 1: That is nice. Isn't that nice?
- 25:05Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 25:06Speaker 2: You have such great chemistry, but really so perfect for Drew.
- 25:14Speaker 1: Thank you.
- 25:14Speaker 2: The show has been on now for how many years?
- 25:17Speaker 1: Gosh, you know, honestly, we just finished our sixth season
- 25:20Speaker 1: and we just got picked up for season seven and eight.
- 25:23Speaker 1: And Heather, you know, you know how difficult that is
- 25:27Speaker 1: in daytime TV. And this has nothing to do with me. Honestly,
- 25:30Speaker 1: it has to do with Drew because she, in those
- 25:35Speaker 1: years when it wasn't, easy, where we were like on
- 25:38Speaker 1: the bubble. I think the powers that be said, if
- 25:41Speaker 1: anyone's going to pop through, it's going to be Drew
- 25:44Speaker 1: because she's got a work ethic. She's got an iconic,
- 25:46Speaker 1: you know, she's iconic and she has that iconic name recognition.
- 25:51Speaker 1: And I think they just took a chance on her.
- 25:53Speaker 1: And I will tell you, if you're going to take
- 25:55Speaker 1: a chance on someone, take a chance on Drew Barrymore
- 25:57Speaker 1: because she's real deal. You met her. She's the real deal.
- 26:00Speaker 2: Yeah, she was your flower girl at the wedding. She was.
- 26:03Speaker 1: And she is.
- 26:06Speaker 2: you know, a total delight, truly genuine. And we know
- 26:09Speaker 2: now that authenticity is where it's at, whether you're an influencer,
- 26:13Speaker 2: a reality star, or a talk show host. And I
- 26:17Speaker 2: think that, you know, it started when you guys started.
- 26:21Speaker 2: It was, you were a COVID show. Yeah.
- 26:24Speaker 1: Do you know the whole story of that? Do you
- 26:26Speaker 1: know how it started? You want me to tell you? Yeah, tell.
- 26:28Speaker 1: So it was COVID. It was September, 2020. My mom
- 26:33Speaker 1: had just passed away, remember, back in May. Um, I
- 26:36Speaker 1: had met Wellington right before the pandemic. And then we
- 26:39Speaker 1: were like, okay, bye. I got like, you know, like
- 26:42Speaker 1: six months. I was like on LA, he was in
- 26:44Speaker 1: New York and we were like, it's like zoom dating.
- 26:46Speaker 2: Right.
- 26:47Speaker 1: And so eventually, uh, in that, in September, I was like,
- 26:50Speaker 1: I'm going to go to New York. Um, I didn't
- 26:53Speaker 1: know Drew anything and I knew her producer. So I,
- 26:55Speaker 1: he was my friend, Chris. I had Chris Miller. He's
- 26:58Speaker 1: now the tonight show, uh, EP showrunner. And I was like,
- 27:01Speaker 1: do you want to get a drink when I'm in
- 27:02Speaker 1: New York?
- 27:03Speaker 2: You know?
- 27:03Speaker 1: And so he was, he said, oh my God. Drew
- 27:06Speaker 1: just started the show and she's alone in the studio.
- 27:08Speaker 2: There was no audience.
- 27:09Speaker 1: Remember back then?
- 27:10Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 27:10Speaker 1: It wasn't even mass audience, no audience. And she would
- 27:13Speaker 1: like talk to celebrities on a computer, right?
- 27:16Speaker 2: It just was tough.
- 27:17Speaker 1: And she was live. And he said, would you come
- 27:20Speaker 1: in and do the news with her one day? And
- 27:21Speaker 1: I was like, he said, if I can get you
- 27:23Speaker 1: cleared through all the COVID things you have to do,
- 27:26Speaker 1: let me. So I did. He got me cleared and
- 27:28Speaker 1: I went and did her show once. And it was like,
- 27:33Speaker 1: you know, she was a little lost in that studio
- 27:35Speaker 1: and I was lost in life because I was cracked
- 27:37Speaker 1: open after my mom. And it was like two people
- 27:41Speaker 1: who needed somebody. I can't explain anything else, but right
- 27:44Speaker 1: away it was like brother, sister, right away. And they
- 27:46Speaker 1: asked me to come back the next day and the
- 27:47Speaker 1: next day. And I never went home until the end
- 27:50Speaker 1: of that season. And then I've been there ever since.
- 27:52Speaker 1: It was one of those things that maybe my mom
- 27:55Speaker 1: did it or something, but There's something magical about the
- 27:59Speaker 1: connection and the timing. And I don't know what would
- 28:02Speaker 1: have happened with Wellington if we would have been married
- 28:06Speaker 1: so soon if I hadn't moved to New York then
- 28:09Speaker 1: and all of this had happened, you know?
- 28:12Speaker 2: Right. Everything always works out the way it's supposed to be. Now,
- 28:15Speaker 2: I think it's funny because you started out and it
- 28:17Speaker 2: was COVID and you couldn't touch anyone. But then she
- 28:22Speaker 2: really popped off. Because people, the viral videos of how
- 28:26Speaker 2: she likes to really get in the lap, literally, of
- 28:31Speaker 2: her guests.
- 28:32Speaker 1: Yes.
- 28:32Speaker 2: And, you know, she has a great sense of humor
- 28:35Speaker 2: around it, but that is her and she doesn't stop that.
- 28:37Speaker 2: And now it's continued. It's just her vibe. Was there
- 28:42Speaker 2: ever a time.
- 28:43Speaker 1: Yeah, I know what you're going to ask. Was there
- 28:45Speaker 1: ever a time when, like, the notes came in, the
- 28:47Speaker 1: focus groups don't do that?
- 28:49Speaker 2: Or you thought, or yeah, was there ever any discussion
- 28:52Speaker 2: about it or even... a guest that was like, I
- 28:56Speaker 2: love Drew, but that would make me uncomfortable to talk
- 28:58Speaker 2: that close or everyone just wants her, her perfect little
- 29:02Speaker 2: cute face at like, you know, that close.
- 29:06Speaker 1: I can't speak to what everybody wants. You know, I
- 29:08Speaker 1: think if like, I don't know that there's ever been
- 29:10Speaker 1: a guest who didn't want to be up close. I
- 29:11Speaker 1: think people are kind of like, yeah, I mean, she's her,
- 29:14Speaker 1: you want to be, I mean, it's authentic. And it's
- 29:16Speaker 1: also like, you don't get to see someone that famous
- 29:19Speaker 1: that often. You know what I mean?
- 29:20Speaker 3: Yes.
- 29:21Speaker 1: Um, But I will say like it wasn't lost on
- 29:24Speaker 1: everyone when like at first it was being kind of
- 29:27Speaker 1: made fun of that she was up close and personal
- 29:30Speaker 1: with everybody. But to like the power of her and honestly,
- 29:34Speaker 1: Jason Kurtz, who does our show, is it was like,
- 29:36Speaker 1: just lean into who you are. You have to be
- 29:39Speaker 1: who you are, especially on daytime television. That, that is
- 29:42Speaker 1: not about a set up punchline daytime television. Daytime television
- 29:45Speaker 1: is about opening your soul up. I know that that
- 29:48Speaker 1: sounds cheesy, but really it's about like, this is who
- 29:50Speaker 1: I am warts and all. And so they just like
- 29:53Speaker 1: dug in and now it's become like, What could have
- 29:57Speaker 1: been a like cringy thing is just an identifiable mark
- 30:02Speaker 1: of how she does this job. And I think that's
- 30:04Speaker 1: another reason why it's working. That's a lesson for all
- 30:07Speaker 1: of us. Just like just lean into who the fuck
- 30:09Speaker 1: you are. Just be you. And like people don't like it.
- 30:13Speaker 1: They can change channel.
- 30:15Speaker 2: Yes. And obviously it's, it's working out perfectly. It's working
- 30:20Speaker 2: for you too.
- 30:20Speaker 1: Look at you. I can, you know how proud I
- 30:22Speaker 1: am of you. I watch, you know, I love you
- 30:24Speaker 1: and I'm your friend, but like, just as like, uh,
- 30:27Speaker 1: somebody who like sees what you're doing. I'm so proud
- 30:30Speaker 1: of you because you have done that too. You really are.
- 30:33Speaker 1: And I think everybody listens to this and watches you
- 30:35Speaker 1: knows that. And I know how hard that is to
- 30:37Speaker 1: do to make that choice just to be all in
- 30:39Speaker 1: on yourself. And, uh, I just want to toot your tooter.
- 30:43Speaker 2: And thank you. I love that.
- 30:46Speaker 1: It's true, Heather.
- 30:47Speaker 2: We did a talk show pilot together.
- 30:49Speaker 1: We did. And I love that show, by the way.
- 30:53Speaker 2: I feel like it could have been better, but I
- 30:55Speaker 2: was doing Chelsea Lee at the same time. It was
- 30:56Speaker 2: kind of a, it was fine. It was called Love
- 30:59Speaker 2: It or Hate It.
- 31:02Speaker 1: Love or hate? Love it or hate it?
- 31:04Speaker 2: I thought it was love or, yeah, maybe it was
- 31:05Speaker 2: love or hate. And it was like hot topics. Do
- 31:08Speaker 2: you love it? Do you hate it? Let's debate it.
- 31:11Speaker 2: But if you think about it, that really can't go
- 31:13Speaker 2: on forever.
- 31:14Speaker 1: Well, it could have. It could have.
- 31:17Speaker 2: I guess you could always love it or hate it.
- 31:19Speaker 2: I could have like a segment on Jesus could call
- 31:21Speaker 2: it or hate it. But then after that.
- 31:23Speaker 1: But I come on and do it with you and
- 31:24Speaker 1: we just do it here instead of on E because
- 31:26Speaker 1: we would get more people to see it.
- 31:29Speaker 2: All right. Let's just do a love it or hate
- 31:30Speaker 2: it right now. I'm just going to do it.
- 31:32Speaker 1: Let's do it.
- 31:34Speaker 2: Secret Lives of Mormon Wives. Do you love it? And
- 31:40Speaker 2: now they're doing ones in like the OC. Do you
- 31:42Speaker 2: like these girls dancing around in their messiness? Or do
- 31:45Speaker 2: you hate it?
- 31:45Speaker 1: I've never seen it. So clearly I hate it. Not
- 31:48Speaker 1: making its way to me in my algorithm.
- 31:51Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 31:51Speaker 1: Is it worth it? There is so much out there
- 31:53Speaker 1: and I'm a little busy with 90 Day, I have
- 31:55Speaker 1: to tell you. There's a lot of episodes and I'm
- 31:57Speaker 1: not cheating on 90 Day. Is it worth it?
- 31:59Speaker 3: Right.
- 32:00Speaker 2: You only have so much time in your life. Exactly.
- 32:01Speaker 1: I'm a human. Right.
- 32:05Speaker 2: Met Ball. Have you ever gone to the Met Ball
- 32:07Speaker 2: or been invited?
- 32:08Speaker 1: I have been outside the Met Ball. I covered it
- 32:15Speaker 1: two years ago. And I used the porta potty. And no,
- 32:21Speaker 1: but I've never been inside. But I will say Anna Wintour,
- 32:24Speaker 1: in the middle of a sentence, she was talking. She
- 32:27Speaker 1: stopped what she was saying and looked at me and said,
- 32:29Speaker 1: I love your jacket. Come on.
- 32:33Speaker 2: That's pretty good.
- 32:34Speaker 1: It was pretty great.
- 32:35Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 32:35Speaker 2: No cameras rolling at the time. All right, I want
- 32:39Speaker 2: to ask you also, you've had quite the relationship with
- 32:45Speaker 2: your body changing. So when we first saw you, you
- 32:51Speaker 2: were a jolly kind of heavyset type young guy. And
- 32:59Speaker 2: then you lost weight, and then you maybe gained a
- 33:01Speaker 2: little bit back. But you've now been a slim jim.
- 33:05Speaker 2: A stylish dude for, I don't know, probably like, what,
- 33:08Speaker 2: like seven years where you've been this size and maintained it.
- 33:14Speaker 2: And so great with your recipes and using, you know,
- 33:18Speaker 2: the healthy ways of, you know, healthier food and exercise
- 33:22Speaker 2: and everything. How do you feel about now, you know,
- 33:27Speaker 2: there are so many people now are having such great success.
- 33:33Speaker 2: With getting the jumpstart with the GLP-1s and.
- 33:37Speaker 1: All of that.
- 33:39Speaker 2: I just want to kind of hear your opinion of
- 33:40Speaker 2: it and what you think is going on with that
- 33:44Speaker 2: in Hollywood. And are some people taking it too far? Okay.
- 33:47Speaker 1: Well, okay. I have so many thoughts that I've never
- 33:49Speaker 1: ever really talked about. No one's ever asked me about this.
- 33:51Speaker 1: This is what's great about you, Heather, is you go there.
- 33:53Speaker 1: All right, let's go there. So my health journey started
- 33:56Speaker 1: in 2020 after my mom died. And I was like,
- 33:58Speaker 1: the biggest gift I could give her is to get
- 34:00Speaker 1: my own shit together. so I can stick around on
- 34:02Speaker 1: this planet for as long as possible. So that was
- 34:04Speaker 1: my why. And I think you have to find your
- 34:06Speaker 1: why and then you figure out the how. So my
- 34:09Speaker 1: why was that. My how was like, I got to
- 34:11Speaker 1: start cooking for myself. That was my recipes. Now, listen,
- 34:13Speaker 1: this is back in 2020. You had heard maybe of Ozempic,
- 34:16Speaker 1: but it wasn't something that was available, right? I wish
- 34:20Speaker 1: I would have done Ozempic. And people use it as
- 34:23Speaker 1: a shame. Like whenever I'll post a picture and people
- 34:25Speaker 1: will be like, oh, Zempic Queen. And I'm like, you're
- 34:28Speaker 1: trying to shame. One, I did it. But like two,
- 34:31Speaker 1: had I, I would be seeing it from the rooftops.
- 34:34Speaker 1: Like there should be absolutely no shame in this. Listen,
- 34:39Speaker 1: it is hard enough to figure out how to be
- 34:42Speaker 1: a healthy grownup. You know what I'm saying? I'm not
- 34:45Speaker 1: alone in that. It is difficult. especially when you have
- 34:48Speaker 1: an unhealthy relationship with food and something that helps you
- 34:51Speaker 1: with that, that they say with the studies doesn't hurt you. Knock, knock, knock.
- 34:56Speaker 1: Hopefully that's true that there's no terrible side effects 20
- 34:58Speaker 1: years down the line, but we should not be shaming people.
- 35:01Speaker 1: If there is, if you have a headache, you take
- 35:03Speaker 1: a Tylenol. Like things make things easier. If you have cancer,
- 35:07Speaker 1: you do chemo for a reason. This is a, an
- 35:11Speaker 1: issue that people have. I know I had it. Um,
- 35:14Speaker 1: and so, uh, I hate that people shame people that
- 35:16Speaker 1: use it. And I especially hate that people try to
- 35:19Speaker 1: use it to shame me when I don't even do it.
- 35:21Speaker 2: Do you feel that, you know, that once you changed
- 35:28Speaker 2: to be fit and thin, gorgeous model that you are. Yes.
- 35:32Speaker 2: No longer a plus size model. Did anybody be like,
- 35:37Speaker 2: you're not as funny now? You know, that always happens
- 35:39Speaker 2: with someone who is funny and a little bit fuller.
- 35:43Speaker 2: People seem to think that is what is one of
- 35:46Speaker 2: the things that makes them funny. And then they get
- 35:47Speaker 2: thin and they're like, you're not as funny. You know, it's, uh,
- 35:51Speaker 2: maybe people thought that, I don't know.
- 35:53Speaker 1: I don't know. People thought that maybe they did, but
- 35:55Speaker 1: I'll tell you, it does take away, uh, your own punchline.
- 36:00Speaker 1: You know, I always, there were certain things I could
- 36:02Speaker 1: always like, if I didn't have an, uh, an observational punchline,
- 36:06Speaker 1: there was always like, oh, through the gay lens or
- 36:08Speaker 1: through the fat lens.
- 36:10Speaker 2: Right.
- 36:10Speaker 1: And they're, you know, self deprecating thing. So when you
- 36:13Speaker 1: take that away, you are taking away, um, a weapon,
- 36:17Speaker 1: you know, like a comedic weapon. Um, and so it
- 36:21Speaker 1: was funny as like your body changes, but your mind,
- 36:25Speaker 1: there's a delay before your mind catches up with where
- 36:27Speaker 1: your body is. And I would be like, you know,
- 36:30Speaker 1: writing jokes or even in the moment saying jokes from
- 36:34Speaker 1: that point of view. And the audience was not laughing
- 36:37Speaker 1: or responding. I was like, Oh my God, Ross, you
- 36:38Speaker 1: need to catch up with, with who you are now. Um,
- 36:43Speaker 1: And so that was the bigger shift that I felt.
- 36:45Speaker 1: Whether people think I'm funny or not, I don't. One,
- 36:47Speaker 1: I can't control. And two, what are you going to do?
- 36:50Speaker 2: Yeah. And then how do you feel about, you know,
- 36:53Speaker 2: now being a silver fox? Like going full natural gray?
- 36:59Speaker 2: I never did anything other than let it just be
- 37:03Speaker 2: what it was, you know? And so I don't know.
- 37:05Speaker 2: I always thought it was kind of gray. Is it
- 37:07Speaker 2: jarringly gray now?
- 37:08Speaker 1: Should I dye?
- 37:09Speaker 2: I just feel... No, I think it looks good. And
- 37:12Speaker 2: I don't think you should start that. I think it's
- 37:14Speaker 2: really hard for guys with short hair to dye it.
- 37:17Speaker 2: Thank you. And I don't think you should. Are you
- 37:21Speaker 2: calling me a hero? No, but I mean, Peter's gone
- 37:24Speaker 2: full white. And there was a time where, you know,
- 37:27Speaker 2: there was a little whatever, the gray men in a
- 37:31Speaker 2: box or whatever it's called. Sure. What is that called?
- 37:33Speaker 1: Just for men. Gray men in a box.
- 37:36Speaker 2: Yeah. And then one day it was just like, oh,
- 37:38Speaker 2: fuck it. And it's just like. It is great. And
- 37:41Speaker 2: then I saw the episode where they brought in the
- 37:44Speaker 2: famous hairdresser and Valerie Bertinelli and Drew.
- 37:50Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 37:50Speaker 2: So they put gray wigs on them.
- 37:52Speaker 1: Mm-hmm.
- 37:54Speaker 2: And, I mean, I think when the hair is great
- 37:57Speaker 2: hair and your makeup is done, it is a cool look.
- 38:04Speaker 2: The natural gray. For some people, I think it can
- 38:07Speaker 2: really work.
- 38:07Speaker 1: For some people.
- 38:08Speaker 2: Listen.
- 38:10Speaker 1: Yes, I think you should do whatever you want to do. Period.
- 38:13Speaker 1: Blanket statement.
- 38:14Speaker 2: Okay.
- 38:18Speaker 1: I will tell you, going gray wasn't like a decision
- 38:20Speaker 1: that I made. I just am kind of too lazy.
- 38:22Speaker 1: And I guess I didn't realize until recently that it's
- 38:24Speaker 1: this gray. Because people start– whenever I would see someone
- 38:28Speaker 1: like you who I hadn't seen in a while, people
- 38:29Speaker 1: go like, love your hair. And for a while, like
- 38:32Speaker 1: until– I mean like really recently, like weeks ago, I
- 38:35Speaker 1: thought like, oh, they noticed that I kind of grew
- 38:37Speaker 1: it out a little because it's longer on the top.
- 38:40Speaker 1: I didn't realize they were saying that because it has
- 38:42Speaker 1: gotten Santa white. Like you just don't see your own
- 38:45Speaker 1: Santa coming out. It never– I didn't see it. And
- 38:49Speaker 1: then when you say it and I look, I'm like, oh,
- 38:51Speaker 1: I guess so. But anyway, that's my point of view.
- 38:55Speaker 1: Now– Drew looks great. Val looked great with gray hair.
- 38:58Speaker 1: It'd be hard to look bad. But I will say, like,
- 39:01Speaker 1: it is much harder for women because, like, let's say,
- 39:03Speaker 1: for example, you or Jennifer Aniston all of a sudden
- 39:06Speaker 1: were like, I'm going to do it. I'm going to
- 39:08Speaker 1: go gray. Like, when does Jennifer Aniston go gray? Does
- 39:11Speaker 1: she just, like, ever? Or does she just come out
- 39:14Speaker 1: one day? Or she'd start, you know, that when, you know,
- 39:17Speaker 1: they have, like, the skunk stripe and they just let
- 39:19Speaker 1: it grow and it's like a half and a half
- 39:21Speaker 1: and you just do it and you figure it out.
- 39:23Speaker 1: Will she ever go gray? Will you ever go gray?
- 39:26Speaker 2: I don't know, because you know your really good friend,
- 39:28Speaker 2: Nikki Boyer. she rocked it, you know, creator of Dying
- 39:34Speaker 2: for Sex.
- 39:36Speaker 1: Peabody award winner for Dying for Sex.
- 39:37Speaker 2: I mean, amazing.
- 39:38Speaker 1: Jenny Slate played her in them. I am so proud
- 39:41Speaker 1: of Nikki Boyer. Thank you. She's in Italy right now
- 39:43Speaker 1: on vacation, a well-deserved vacation. She's amazing. And yes, she
- 39:47Speaker 1: did decide to go gray and it was a whole
- 39:49Speaker 1: process and Even some of our close friends gave her
- 39:52Speaker 1: shit for going gray.
- 39:54Speaker 2: Really?
- 39:55Speaker 1: Yes.
- 39:56Speaker 2: I see. I think I can see it. It looks.
- 39:59Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 39:59Speaker 2: For me, not there yet. I don't know when I'll
- 40:03Speaker 2: be there. But anyway, I think it's a cool thing
- 40:06Speaker 2: that's really working for people.
- 40:10Speaker 1: So much harder for women than men. It's the same
- 40:11Speaker 1: thing with weight. No one in Hollywood ever gave me
- 40:16Speaker 1: an issue for my weight, ever, ever, ever. And meanwhile,
- 40:20Speaker 1: I know these women who I was standing with on
- 40:22Speaker 1: the red carpet were getting pressure. I know it. The
- 40:26Speaker 1: gray hair was the same thing. So that's unfair.
- 40:30Speaker 2: Yeah, and now it's the criticism of, oh, now everyone's
- 40:34Speaker 2: too thin. You know, it used to be you're heavy. Then, okay,
- 40:39Speaker 2: you know, then there's some bitterness of when someone that
- 40:42Speaker 2: they admired that was a little fuller figure, they get
- 40:47Speaker 2: to a healthy place. And then it's like you've abandoned
- 40:49Speaker 2: the cause. And you're like, what cause was that? Like,
- 40:52Speaker 2: just like, let me just do what's right for me.
- 40:55Speaker 2: You know, like, again, let me just do what's right
- 40:56Speaker 2: for me.
- 40:57Speaker 1: I understand when people get too thin though. I do because,
- 41:01Speaker 1: and by too thin, I want to do air quotes, right?
- 41:04Speaker 1: Because it also, it is a weird game. You know,
- 41:07Speaker 1: like you feel like in control when you're at a
- 41:10Speaker 1: certain number. You know, I remember I got to like
- 41:12Speaker 1: 165 and I was like, this is probably five pounds
- 41:15Speaker 1: too thin and this is perfect, right? And then now
- 41:19Speaker 1: I'm at like 173 because it's like the neighborhood and
- 41:21Speaker 1: I feel like, Oh, is it gross? Am I gross?
- 41:26Speaker 1: Am I gross? Because I'm not like 165. So it's like,
- 41:30Speaker 1: I understand where you if you get that low, you
- 41:32Speaker 1: think if you get above that at all, you feel
- 41:33Speaker 1: like it's more about the scale as opposed to your body,
- 41:37Speaker 1: you know, and like, I think that's the struggle. Sometimes
- 41:41Speaker 1: it's this this like self imposed thing.
- 41:46Speaker 2: What was the what was the reality show that you
- 41:48Speaker 2: did about weight loss?
- 41:50Speaker 1: That was a nightmare. This was back in, what, 2004
- 41:56Speaker 1: or 5? It was called Celebrity Fit Club. And they
- 41:58Speaker 1: asked me to do a bunch. It was like on
- 42:00Speaker 1: Leno a couple years. I had no contract. I was
- 42:02Speaker 1: making like $ 500 every couple months, like nothing. And they
- 42:09Speaker 1: called me like, do you want to be on the
- 42:10Speaker 1: show where you lose weight? And I was like, absolutely not.
- 42:13Speaker 1: And they said it pays whatever it paid. And I said,
- 42:15Speaker 1: what time should I be there? And so I did it.
- 42:20Speaker 1: And when I showed up, it was like me and Screech, Tiffany,
- 42:26Speaker 1: the thing, I think we're alone now, right? All these things.
- 42:29Speaker 1: And when I got there, nobody knew who I was.
- 42:31Speaker 1: And Tiffany asked me to get her a water because
- 42:34Speaker 1: she thought I was a PA. And you know what
- 42:36Speaker 1: I did?
- 42:37Speaker 2: Got her a water.
- 42:38Speaker 1: I got her a water.
- 42:41Speaker 2: And then she's like, wait, why are you getting mic'd
- 42:43Speaker 2: up to go do a jumping jack or something?
- 42:45Speaker 3: Yes.
- 42:46Speaker 1: Why are you getting jumped up to kayak against a brat? Well, Tiffany,
- 42:51Speaker 1: because they're paying me to. Anyway, so I like it
- 42:54Speaker 1: was the first time I ever lost weight and I
- 42:56Speaker 1: just starved myself because they would. You know what a
- 42:58Speaker 1: great diet is? Weighing in every week on national television.
- 43:02Speaker 1: That's a great diet. So I just didn't eat anything
- 43:05Speaker 1: and I lost 40 pounds. And the second it was over,
- 43:08Speaker 1: I ordered two. large Domino's thin crust because I was
- 43:12Speaker 1: on a diet, pizzas. And I finished them because I
- 43:16Speaker 1: was starving. And then the weight plus came on, you know,
- 43:20Speaker 1: like there was no conversation about my health at all.
- 43:24Speaker 1: It was about, can you lose more weight than Maureen McCormick?
- 43:29Speaker 2: Oh, my God. But you won it, right? You won it?
- 43:32Speaker 1: Of course, Heather.
- 43:34Speaker 2: Of course. How much was it that you lost total?
- 43:36Speaker 2: Do you remember?
- 43:37Speaker 1: 41 pounds. I know exactly.
- 43:38Speaker 2: 41 in how many days?
- 43:43Speaker 1: Six weeks or something. I mean, really not good, Heather. Like,
- 43:48Speaker 1: Too fast, unhealthy. I just was like, I guess I
- 43:51Speaker 1: won't eat.
- 43:52Speaker 2: And that was before the controversial show that they just
- 43:56Speaker 2: did the doc on where they weigh the people. What
- 43:59Speaker 2: was that called? The Biggest Loser. The Biggest Loser, yes.
- 44:02Speaker 2: That was before Biggest Loser.
- 44:03Speaker 1: Probably the same time. What, 2004? Yeah, 2005? Something like that. Awful, awful, awful, awful.
- 44:06Speaker 1: But the check cleared everything. And it wasn't even like
- 44:17Speaker 1: life changing money. But at the time, it was like
- 44:19Speaker 1: what my mother made in a year. I remember.
- 44:21Speaker 2: Yeah. Because you were and you were young and.
- 44:23Speaker 1: Oh, my God. I was 24 and like just figuring
- 44:28Speaker 1: it out. And, you know, this business like, you know,
- 44:31Speaker 1: you figure it meant I was going to be on
- 44:32Speaker 1: TV for a couple of months, you know, and like.
- 44:35Speaker 2: When you got your own talk show. Yes. Hello, Ross. Hello, Ross.
- 44:40Speaker 2: It was was it once a week?
- 44:42Speaker 1: Once a week, Friday nights.
- 44:44Speaker 2: Friday nights and it was under the Chelsea umbrella. You
- 44:48Speaker 2: were on like the floor above or below us.
- 44:50Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 44:51Speaker 2: And, you know, I mean, that must have just been
- 44:54Speaker 2: like a major pinch me moment.
- 44:56Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 44:57Speaker 2: But when you when you find out it's not going
- 44:59Speaker 2: to continue. Yeah. What was like the how what was
- 45:03Speaker 2: your thought process? Was it was like bigger than bigger
- 45:06Speaker 2: and better? Or what was that for you?
- 45:08Speaker 1: Completely devastated because one like, you know, Regis, remember Regis? Yeah.
- 45:14Speaker 1: That was the goal, the North Star. And so in
- 45:17Speaker 1: a way I thought like, oh, I did it, you know?
- 45:20Speaker 1: And we were on for two seasons and then it
- 45:23Speaker 1: went away for multiple reasons. You know, like Chelsea was
- 45:26Speaker 1: leaving the network for a bunch of reasons and whatever.
- 45:30Speaker 1: And I remember thinking like, I'm over.
- 45:33Speaker 2: This is it.
- 45:33Speaker 1: I went to Palm Springs and I painted the cabinets
- 45:37Speaker 1: in my kitchen and I painted... like all the walls
- 45:41Speaker 1: in the house.
- 45:41Speaker 2: I just was like, what color? White. Black. No, just kidding.
- 45:45Speaker 3: Black.
- 45:45Speaker 1: No, white, like white, bright white. And I just, my
- 45:48Speaker 1: friend Taya came over and she's like, what are you okay?
- 45:52Speaker 1: And I just was like, I'm painting this wall today.
- 45:56Speaker 2: Like I just went crazy. Didn't Taya also work on
- 45:59Speaker 2: the show?
- 46:00Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 46:00Speaker 1: She was my best friend. Taya is still my best
- 46:03Speaker 1: friend from elementary school, high school. We wrote Chelsea Lately,
- 46:05Speaker 1: my books together and So it was just, she's a
- 46:07Speaker 1: brilliant writer, producer.
- 46:09Speaker 2: She's just brilliant. And so I just- So that's hard too,
- 46:12Speaker 2: that you like have, you hired some friends. Oh, all
- 46:15Speaker 2: of my college roommate was a producer on it. Tonight
- 46:18Speaker 2: Show people came over on staff because that was ending
- 46:21Speaker 2: and stuff. And there were just, you know, that's the
- 46:24Speaker 2: burden you feel too when you lead a team like
- 46:26Speaker 2: that is like, not only is your dream dying, but
- 46:28Speaker 2: like all these people are now out of work. Yeah. Yeah.
- 46:33Speaker 1: And so- I worried, um, and I put a bunch
- 46:36Speaker 1: of weight on and I just worried, like, would I
- 46:39Speaker 1: ever work again? Or did I ever, did I want to,
- 46:42Speaker 1: did I want to ever have something like that again,
- 46:44Speaker 1: that I could lose again? It's almost like when you,
- 46:46Speaker 1: when someone breaks your heart, you know, do I want
- 46:49Speaker 1: to get in a relationship again? Um, and I took
- 46:51Speaker 1: a long time and it wasn't to Hollywood Today Live.
- 46:53Speaker 1: You remember there was this show that I did that
- 46:55Speaker 1: you were on. Um, it wasn't until that, that I thought, oh, I, I,
- 47:00Speaker 1: I can still do this.
- 47:01Speaker 2: Um, yeah.
- 47:02Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 47:03Speaker 1: But it was, it was a real, I should have
- 47:04Speaker 1: gone to therapy. I didn't, but I should have.
- 47:07Speaker 2: Yes.
- 47:08Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 47:08Speaker 2: And I remember like, yeah, that is really hard. And
- 47:12Speaker 2: then we had fun on that Hollywood Today Live and, uh,
- 47:15Speaker 2: Garcelle was on it.
- 47:16Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 47:16Speaker 1: It was me and Garcelle Bavay and, uh, Allie Landry,
- 47:19Speaker 1: Tanner Thomason, Amanda Salas, who's on Good Day LA. Um,
- 47:23Speaker 1: Kristen Brockman, uh, Yeah, it was a great show. Anyway,
- 47:30Speaker 1: I love doing that. And then, you know, and then
- 47:32Speaker 1: I did that for a couple years. And then, you know,
- 47:34Speaker 1: but the thing is, Heather, you know, you kind of
- 47:37Speaker 1: have to count on, like, bank on yourself that you'll
- 47:40Speaker 1: figure it out.
- 47:42Speaker 2: So now getting to your latest venture with the 90-Day
- 47:46Speaker 2: Single Life Reunion.
- 47:49Speaker 1: The tell-all.
- 47:50Speaker 2: The tell-all. And so tell us, so these... people that
- 47:55Speaker 2: are the favorites over the seasons that are no longer
- 47:59Speaker 2: with their love, they go explore single life?
- 48:02Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 48:02Speaker 1: So what happens is, you know, we watch a lot
- 48:04Speaker 1: of people on 90 Day Fiancé, whether it's the OG
- 48:07Speaker 1: show or the other way, we see people fall in
- 48:10Speaker 1: love and try to make a relationship work. Now, what
- 48:12Speaker 1: happens is we really care for these people. I get
- 48:14Speaker 1: invested in them. Now, the relationship doesn't always or usually
- 48:19Speaker 1: work out in the long run, okay? But some of
- 48:22Speaker 1: the people who become fan favorites that we really root for,
- 48:25Speaker 1: they get put on– if they choose to, they get
- 48:28Speaker 1: put on The Single Life where we can see them
- 48:30Speaker 1: afterwards what happens when they're back out there dating. And
- 48:33Speaker 1: so there are major fan favorites on. There's Pedro. There's Sophie.
- 48:38Speaker 2: There's Colt. Colt is my favorite. Colt is– oh, my God.
- 48:44Speaker 2: What happened to his– X.
- 48:49Speaker 1: Well, there were a few. There's been a bunch.
- 48:50Speaker 2: The brunette girl that got a lot of plastic surgery.
- 48:54Speaker 1: You're going to have to be more specific. Okay. So anyway,
- 49:01Speaker 1: when we find him, we had just seen him in
- 49:03Speaker 1: Hunt for Love, which is this other spinoff. He and
- 49:05Speaker 1: Courtney have this connection. So when we see them at
- 49:07Speaker 1: the beginning of the season, he and Courtney are dating. Now,
- 49:09Speaker 1: Courtney is another fan favorite. And they're an odd match.
- 49:14Speaker 1: And he had a major injury. He's been living in
- 49:17Speaker 1: her house and taking care of him. They can't have sex.
- 49:21Speaker 1: And then it turns out he's been cheating on her.
- 49:23Speaker 1: This is what played out over the season with this
- 49:25Speaker 1: woman from Brazil named Deanna on text. So they sort
- 49:29Speaker 1: of break up and she kicks him out of, she's
- 49:33Speaker 1: living with her parents in a retirement center, kicks him out.
- 49:36Speaker 1: And then he has to get surgery. And so fast
- 49:38Speaker 1: forward a couple months, you see him living with this.
- 49:40Speaker 2: Wait, hold on. She lives with her parents. Mm-hmm.
- 49:43Speaker 1: And had Colt living with them.
- 49:45Speaker 2: In a retirement community in Florida. Is that even allowed?
- 49:49Speaker 1: Heather, what am I? On the HOA? I don't know.
- 49:54Speaker 1: Speak to your local representative. I can't be bothered with that.
- 49:57Speaker 3: So, okay. Okay.
- 49:58Speaker 1: He's living with her and her parents in a retirement home.
- 50:02Speaker 1: Oh my God. He's been, wait, there's more. He, this
- 50:04Speaker 1: is what, this is what the played out during the season.
- 50:07Speaker 1: She kicks him out because you're cheating on me. Like
- 50:09Speaker 1: you don't have like, anyway.
- 50:11Speaker 2: You don't have to piss it.
- 50:13Speaker 3: Yes. Yeah.
- 50:14Speaker 1: He goes and lives with the girl that he was
- 50:16Speaker 1: cheating on her with in Brazil for a bit, but
- 50:18Speaker 1: then he has to come back to the States to
- 50:20Speaker 1: get a surgery. So we fast forward a couple of months.
- 50:22Speaker 1: We see him in a house and he walks out
- 50:24Speaker 1: and like greets his roommate and who is this 66
- 50:27Speaker 1: year old man named Phil. Now it turns out that
- 50:30Speaker 1: Phil is Courtney's new boyfriend. Uh, he lives in the
- 50:35Speaker 1: same retirement center as her parents. Okay. And Phil and
- 50:42Speaker 1: Colt is now living with them. Uh, we just saw
- 50:45Speaker 1: recently that, um, Well, I don't know if that I
- 50:48Speaker 1: can ruin anything, but they are all going to be
- 50:50Speaker 1: on the tell-all, okay? So I just have to tell you,
- 50:53Speaker 1: it's so good. It's so juicy. There's so much to
- 50:56Speaker 1: talk about, and that's just one storyline. Colt has all
- 50:59Speaker 1: these other connections with all the other people that are
- 51:02Speaker 1: going to be there. I really did my research. I
- 51:05Speaker 1: really took this seriously, Heather, because you know I love
- 51:07Speaker 1: this show, and I wanted to do a good job
- 51:10Speaker 1: for the fans. I wanted to give them a tell-all
- 51:13Speaker 1: that delivered– accountability and answers and drama and twists and
- 51:18Speaker 1: turns and surprises. And I have to tell you, as
- 51:20Speaker 1: a fan, I got everything I wanted, including a walk-off.
- 51:25Speaker 1: You know what I mean? Oh, I love it. I mean,
- 51:28Speaker 1: you have to have a walk-off. So I got so upset.
- 51:30Speaker 1: And the reason they got so upset is something that
- 51:33Speaker 1: I didn't even know was coming.
- 51:34Speaker 2: It's a real shocker.
- 51:36Speaker 1: Oh, good.
- 51:37Speaker 2: Well, I mean, I can see it now. Did you
- 51:41Speaker 2: have a hard time deciding what snazzy suit to wear?
- 51:45Speaker 1: There were lots of opinions. There were lots of opinions.
- 51:50Speaker 1: I knew what I was going to wear.
- 51:51Speaker 2: I knew it.
- 51:52Speaker 1: And it just took a second for everyone to arrive there.
- 51:55Speaker 1: But I would have worn, I didn't care what I wore.
- 51:57Speaker 1: I truly, Heather, if they said wear Mrs. Roper's muumuu,
- 52:00Speaker 1: I would have been like, great, let's go. Just put
- 52:02Speaker 1: me in there. I really didn't care. But I loved
- 52:05Speaker 1: this final suit. It's a Brooks Brothers rich, almost cobalt
- 52:11Speaker 1: blue with a blue and white striped tie. It's the
- 52:13Speaker 1: perfect thing to wear. And I really hope you watch
- 52:18Speaker 1: this tell-all because.
- 52:19Speaker 2: I think- Oh, I definitely am watching it.
- 52:20Speaker 1: I think you did a really good job. I really
- 52:22Speaker 1: had a lot of fun with it. It airs May
- 52:24Speaker 1: 18th and May 25th on TLC. And it's like, I
- 52:26Speaker 1: don't know, feel free to watch every episode leading up
- 52:29Speaker 1: if you want to, but I also recap a ton.
- 52:30Speaker 1: So if you haven't watched every episode, you can still
- 52:33Speaker 1: watch the tell-all and get everything.
- 52:35Speaker 2: The living at the retirement community is so fascinating to
- 52:40Speaker 2: me because I remember years ago, You said you identified
- 52:45Speaker 2: as an active senior.
- 52:46Speaker 1: Active senior citizen to this day. I have a book
- 52:49Speaker 1: treatment that I want to turn in called Active Senior Citizen,
- 52:53Speaker 1: a How-To Guide. I think it is a great idea
- 52:56Speaker 1: because I have lived my life that way. I wear
- 52:59Speaker 1: a sensible slip-on shoe. I don't have time for laces. Plus,
- 53:03Speaker 1: it's dangerous. And hip injury is the first. Anyway, so
- 53:06Speaker 1: I do that. I love a happy hour. I love
- 53:08Speaker 1: a sensible bedtime.
- 53:11Speaker 2: What time do you like to eat dinner?
- 53:13Speaker 1: Oh, it's 545 would be kind of the latest. We've
- 53:19Speaker 1: been to the restaurant. I've been, you know, those commercials
- 53:22Speaker 1: like open, open, open for Mervins or Marshalls or something.
- 53:25Speaker 1: That's me at the restaurant at 445. When I know
- 53:29Speaker 1: they could serve me a martini, I'm there. You may
- 53:31Speaker 1: not be open, but the bottle's right there.
- 53:34Speaker 2: I love an early dinner. I love pre-sunset golden hour.
- 53:40Speaker 1: We've had dinner at five. I know we have.
- 53:43Speaker 2: Oh, I always, always love the dinners at Five. Now,
- 53:47Speaker 2: I am sad that you're no longer a resident in
- 53:51Speaker 2: the Palm Springs area, but I get why it doesn't
- 53:55Speaker 2: make sense. You have a beautiful home on the East Coast.
- 53:58Speaker 1: I have the dream home on the East Coast, I
- 54:00Speaker 1: have to say. I love my house here. I never
- 54:03Speaker 1: want to leave it. We have an apartment in the city.
- 54:05Speaker 1: I don't even go to the city just for work. But,
- 54:08Speaker 1: you know, I love... I love where I live now,
- 54:11Speaker 1: but I.
- 54:11Speaker 2: Will tell you- So do you spend the night at
- 54:12Speaker 2: the city apartment during the week with Drew?
- 54:16Speaker 1: I'm supposed to, yes.
- 54:17Speaker 2: What do you mean you're supposed to?
- 54:18Speaker 1: I'm supposed to. That was the intention when purchased, but
- 54:22Speaker 1: I don't.
- 54:24Speaker 2: And so how long does it take you to get
- 54:25Speaker 2: from the Drew studio to the regular house?
- 54:27Speaker 1: 51 minutes. Oh, that's not that bad. So I just
- 54:31Speaker 1: do that.
- 54:32Speaker 2: Exactly.
- 54:33Speaker 1: And so we're selling the apartment is the point. I
- 54:36Speaker 1: love the house, but when I- had the house, you know,
- 54:39Speaker 1: I was in Palm Springs forever, ever. And I kept
- 54:43Speaker 1: it for three years when I moved here. And then
- 54:45Speaker 1: I had been back maybe twice because I just couldn't.
- 54:48Speaker 1: And I was like, this is such a waste of money.
- 54:50Speaker 1: I can't. So luckily it appreciated. And I, I earned
- 54:54Speaker 1: that money back that I had wasted, you know, not
- 54:56Speaker 1: living in it, whatever. But I, I haven't been back
- 54:59Speaker 1: to Palm Springs since I drove away after we sold
- 55:01Speaker 1: the house because it is my home and it would
- 55:04Speaker 1: just hurt my feelings. It would just hurt me too
- 55:06Speaker 1: much to be there and not Live there.
- 55:09Speaker 2: What? That's so stupid.
- 55:11Speaker 1: I know it's stupid, Heather.
- 55:12Speaker 2: This is what you guys need to do. You need
- 55:15Speaker 2: to come and stay at one of your favorite hotels. Okay.
- 55:21Speaker 1: I don't know. I feel like it's running into an
- 55:24Speaker 1: ex that I know I'm going to end up with.
- 55:27Speaker 1: You know what I mean? That's how I feel about
- 55:29Speaker 1: Palm Springs. It hurts too bad to see them.
- 55:31Speaker 2: You're afraid one screw will be too much and you
- 55:36Speaker 2: won't be able to give it up? And you'll be
- 55:38Speaker 2: cheating on New York?
- 55:40Speaker 1: What I know about Palm Springs is that we're meant
- 55:42Speaker 1: to be. And we're just in different places right now.
- 55:46Speaker 1: You know what I mean? And I'm afraid if I
- 55:48Speaker 1: see Palm Springs, I won't be able to resist Palm Springs.
- 55:51Speaker 2: You know, I just had dinner with Martin Ballard.
- 55:55Speaker 1: The best.
- 55:57Speaker 2: And went to his house.
- 55:59Speaker 1: The house.
- 55:59Speaker 2: And he had a party for Modernism Week.
- 56:02Speaker 1: I saw the pictures.
- 56:03Speaker 2: And everybody dressed up like from that era.
- 56:07Speaker 1: I know. I know. And none of that shit is
- 56:11Speaker 1: happening where I live now. You know where I live now?
- 56:13Speaker 1: You know who I, oh my God, Heather. I live
- 56:17Speaker 1: like minutes from Martha Stewart and I see her all
- 56:20Speaker 1: the time and we do dinners. I've been to, I
- 56:22Speaker 1: had New Year's Eve dinner with Martha Stewart.
- 56:25Speaker 2: What did she serve? Did she cook?
- 56:27Speaker 1: Oh no, we went to a restaurant. There were just
- 56:28Speaker 1: five of us around the little table. It was, it was,
- 56:36Speaker 1: it's wild. it's wild and magical and she's, the only
- 56:40Speaker 1: reason I'm like hesitating now is because I'm looking up
- 56:42Speaker 1: at the, you can see me right now. I'm looking
- 56:44Speaker 1: up and thinking to myself like, should I shut up?
- 56:46Speaker 1: Because I don't want her to find out that I
- 56:49Speaker 1: talked about this and have it end.
- 56:50Speaker 2: You know what I'm saying?
- 56:51Speaker 1: I'm like, should I just shut up right now?
- 56:53Speaker 2: I think just saying you had dinner at a restaurant
- 56:55Speaker 2: where witnesses were, it's, and you're acting like you slept
- 56:59Speaker 2: with her or something.
- 57:00Speaker 1: I'm not, oh my God, she's another one. Is she
- 57:02Speaker 1: another woman that I have womanized now as a gay?
- 57:06Speaker 2: I mean, probably because it's just, you just have a,
- 57:09Speaker 2: you just have a gift and it's okay. And you know, you're, it's,
- 57:15Speaker 2: it is what it is. You're, you're loyal to one man.
- 57:18Speaker 2: You're not loyal to any woman. And it's, it's what
- 57:21Speaker 2: you are. It's a, it's a version of being polyamorous
- 57:26Speaker 2: in a gay land. It's very, it's very complicated.
- 57:31Speaker 1: It's weird how much sense you make. It's like, it's
- 57:34Speaker 1: really weird.
- 57:36Speaker 2: From Martha Stewart to me, I mean, it's amazing. Wait, I, okay.
- 57:39Speaker 2: Now I think we need to plan for, I want
- 57:42Speaker 2: to be your house guest.
- 57:44Speaker 1: Up here? You have? Yeah.
- 57:46Speaker 2: Would you come stay with us for real? Yeah. Like
- 57:49Speaker 2: come to New York and like, what, give me a
- 57:53Speaker 2: day in the life if I come and we have
- 57:55Speaker 2: like a Saturday. Like fabulous. I'm an early riser too.
- 57:59Speaker 2: Early riser.
- 58:00Speaker 1: So our house is so, it's like super private. It
- 58:04Speaker 1: just trees all around. We're up like on a hill.
- 58:06Speaker 1: We have a phenomenal pool, like in the rocks where
- 58:09Speaker 1: like there's a stream that goes down into the, from
- 58:12Speaker 1: like into the hot tub, then into the pool, like beautiful.
- 58:15Speaker 2: Do you hate your pool? Of course.
- 58:17Speaker 1: What am I? Neanderthal? My God. Heather, are you okay?
- 58:22Speaker 2: Okay, then I'll be in all day if it's warm. Okay. Yeah.
- 58:25Speaker 1: Trust me, it's warm. So we would do that. We'd
- 58:28Speaker 1: probably wake up. I would make you a frittata. Okay.
- 58:33Speaker 1: We're not doing crust. It's not a quiche.
- 58:34Speaker 2: Okay.
- 58:35Speaker 1: It's a frittata.
- 58:36Speaker 2: Love a frittata.
- 58:37Speaker 1: Okay. Then we would probably do a dip. We just
- 58:40Speaker 1: have to like pre-shower. Let's just get in. Like it's
- 58:43Speaker 1: nice out. Let's just get in the pool really quickly.
- 58:46Speaker 1: And then while we're floating, I would like be like,
- 58:48Speaker 1: what do you want to do today?
- 58:50Speaker 2: Okay. We're gone. I feel like we then get cute.
- 58:56Speaker 2: And we do lunch off campus.
- 58:59Speaker 1: Of course.
- 58:59Speaker 2: Or we don't even need lunch. We just do like
- 59:02Speaker 2: a snacky poo and walk around whatever the cute area
- 59:05Speaker 2: is that has some shops. Does that exist?
- 59:07Speaker 1: We would do lunch. I'm sorry, but I get low
- 59:09Speaker 1: blood sugar. We would do lunch.
- 59:10Speaker 2: Okay, good.
- 59:11Speaker 1: But we would have a cocktail at lunch. And I
- 59:13Speaker 1: would tell you, you know where I'm going to bring you, Heather?
- 59:15Speaker 1: I'm going to bring you to my favorite antique mall.
- 59:18Speaker 2: Done.
- 59:19Speaker 3: Okay.
- 59:19Speaker 1: Where Lara Spencer has a booth. Okay.
- 59:23Speaker 2: Love it.
- 59:24Speaker 1: Yeah. And we'll buy a little something for you.
- 59:27Speaker 3: Okay.
- 59:27Speaker 1: We'll get you just a little something, like something not
- 59:29Speaker 1: big that you can bring home, but like something like,
- 59:31Speaker 1: so whenever you look at it, you can be like,
- 59:33Speaker 1: oh my God, this is from when I visited Ross
- 59:35Speaker 1: and Welly in New York.
- 59:36Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 59:36Speaker 1: So let's get you something. And then I would go like,
- 59:39Speaker 1: now let's go back to the pool.
- 59:40Speaker 2: Great.
- 59:42Speaker 1: And I would tell you in the pool, I'd be like,
- 59:44Speaker 1: what are you in the mood for? Do you want
- 59:47Speaker 1: to like invite a couple people over and barbecue or
- 59:48Speaker 1: do you want to go somewhere fabulous?
- 59:50Speaker 3: No.
- 59:51Speaker 2: At that point- I want to have fun, dinner party,
- 59:55Speaker 2: exciting people. Yeah. Start boozing in the pool late afternoon.
- 1:00:01Speaker 2: Keep the party rolling. End the party by 8.45.
- 1:00:05Speaker 3: Great.
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: So I would pick up the red gay phone that
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: calls all the gays, and I would be like, Heather
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: McDonald's here. I need you to come over. I have
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: friends who work in the restaurant industry who bring some
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: steaks maybe. I don't know if they're eating red meat
- 1:00:19Speaker 1: right now, but they would probably be- Down.
- 1:00:20Speaker 3: Down. Down.
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: Um, we would go to the bakery that Blake Lively
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: goes to and we would pick up something great.
- 1:00:27Speaker 2: Great.
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: Something, something fun.
- 1:00:29Speaker 2: Love it.
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: And we would, um, then we would barbecue and I'd bring,
- 1:00:32Speaker 1: we would have the music out, you know, maybe some
- 1:00:36Speaker 1: edibles if they were there and people wanted to, they
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: could partake.
- 1:00:39Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:00:40Speaker 1: Um, and then, uh, we probably would like take a
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: nap at some point for like, just like 45 minutes.
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: Like just, and you can just be on your phone
- 1:00:50Speaker 1: if you want, but like nap. And then, like, let's
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: go out.
- 1:00:53Speaker 2: A little alone time. Okay, yeah.
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: If you need it.
- 1:00:55Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:00:56Speaker 1: And then we'd probably watch something great after everyone went
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: home on the TV and, like, kind of fall asleep
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: a little bit. And then I'll see you in the morning.
- 1:01:04Speaker 2: You know what I'd like to do also is watch
- 1:01:08Speaker 2: And Just Like That back.
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: Would you like to watch my episode, the scene I
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: was in?
- 1:01:13Speaker 2: Oh, that's right. What scene were you in?
- 1:01:17Speaker 1: Season five, episode two. Or season three episode.
- 1:01:21Speaker 2: No.
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: I was in the scene where Aiden came back. So
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: season two, episode four, I think it is.
- 1:01:27Speaker 3: Yes.
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: When Mario Cantone comes on the Drew show.
- 1:01:30Speaker 2: Oh, yes.
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: And then I play myself in the hallway. And you know,
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: did I ever tell you the story of how that happened?
- 1:01:36Speaker 2: No, tell me. Okay. So it's a true story.
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: I heard that they were going to come and shoot
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: with Drew at the show. And I was like, what day?
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: And it was like a Friday. And I'm not there
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: on Fridays. But I went in and I emailed Michael
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: Patrick King. And I said, I actually had my, my realtor,
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: Arlene Cohen, Keller Williams is friends with Michael Patrick King.
- 1:01:59Speaker 1: So I said, can you let him know? And she said, Oh,
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: email him. So I did and said, Hey, I'm just
- 1:02:03Speaker 1: going to be there. Like, come say hi. And he
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: came in and he was like, Ross. And I'm like, yeah.
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: And he goes, I'm going to write you a scene.
- 1:02:11Speaker 2: Okay.
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: And I was like, you don't have to do that.
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: He was like, I know why you're here. And he did.
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: And I got to be in it. But it's because
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: I showed up and I was like, hello. Hi, remember me?
- 1:02:25Speaker 2: Hi. I sometimes wake up in the middle of the
- 1:02:28Speaker 2: night and curse myself because I covered and just like
- 1:02:32Speaker 2: that in a hate watching vein.
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: It's your responsibility that it's gone?
- 1:02:39Speaker 2: It is. I think that Michael Patrick King, Sarah Jessica Parker,
- 1:02:48Speaker 2: they were just like, screw these assholes. We're not going
- 1:02:51Speaker 2: to do it anymore. And I wish they didn't listen
- 1:02:54Speaker 2: to me because it was getting better. And I loved
- 1:02:58Speaker 2: every second of it. I loved if it was bad.
- 1:03:02Speaker 2: I loved if it was boring. I loved if it
- 1:03:03Speaker 2: was weird. I loved if it didn't make sense. I mean,
- 1:03:08Speaker 2: every Thursday we'd watch it. I made my son, my
- 1:03:11Speaker 2: straight son, Drake, watch it. And my other son, Brandon,
- 1:03:14Speaker 2: we all loved it. We loved Che Diaz getting a sitcom.
- 1:03:21Speaker 2: It was so weird and bizarre. Yeah, it's my fault.
- 1:03:26Speaker 2: And I will never forgive myself. If I would have
- 1:03:29Speaker 2: known that ripping on it in a hate-watching way and
- 1:03:33Speaker 2: having other people do the same would have ever contributed
- 1:03:36Speaker 2: to them quitting, I wouldn't have done it. I....
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: Want to be a friend to you in times like this.
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: But I'm also not going to lie to you.
- 1:03:49Speaker 2: What?
- 1:03:50Speaker 1: It's not not your fault. I do think that, and
- 1:03:55Speaker 1: it's not you alone.
- 1:03:57Speaker 2: No, it's not me alone. I feel like I was
- 1:04:00Speaker 2: probably a top 10 person that did it.
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: Oh, for sure. Yeah. I would just like to, I
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: wish I could go back in a time machine because
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: I didn't know it was going to come to an
- 1:04:08Speaker 1: end either.
- 1:04:09Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:04:09Speaker 1: I wish I could go in a time machine and say, hey, guys,
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: it's like pizza. Like even bad pizza.
- 1:04:15Speaker 2: Is good. Is good.
- 1:04:16Speaker 1: Okay? And we didn't even know what we had when
- 1:04:22Speaker 1: we had it. And I'd like to go roll the tape.
- 1:04:27Speaker 1: I never once publicly said anything bad about it.
- 1:04:30Speaker 2: Publicly.
- 1:04:31Speaker 1: Okay? And maybe the history books will call me a hero.
- 1:04:39Speaker 1: and let them.
- 1:04:42Speaker 2: I mean, the day the news broke that this is it.
- 1:04:47Speaker 1: You knew you did it. You knew it was your
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: fault right away, right?
- 1:04:51Speaker 2: I just was like, you know, I felt like that saying, like,
- 1:04:56Speaker 2: and this is why we can't have nice things. Like,
- 1:04:58Speaker 2: I felt like the person that, like, broke the vase
- 1:05:02Speaker 2: in the living room for, like, playing around it too closely.
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: So do you want to make, like, a a public
- 1:05:09Speaker 1: statement now?
- 1:05:11Speaker 2: My public statement is I loved, and just like that,
- 1:05:15Speaker 2: maybe more than Sex and the City. I loved the changes.
- 1:05:19Speaker 2: I loved the weirdness. I loved the goofiness. Every episode
- 1:05:28Speaker 2: surprised me. My predictions about where the show would go
- 1:05:32Speaker 2: was wrong. Okay? I didn't I mean, I predicted some
- 1:05:38Speaker 2: things when I thought there was going to be a
- 1:05:41Speaker 2: Sex and the City 3, but instead it was a
- 1:05:43Speaker 2: series that Miranda would be gay or have a gay relationship,
- 1:05:48Speaker 2: but not everything. And then I kept wanting to rewrite
- 1:05:55Speaker 2: it and be part of it, and then never did
- 1:05:57Speaker 2: I think that it would be ripped from under me.
- 1:06:00Speaker 2: I thought for sure I'd get two more seasons out
- 1:06:02Speaker 2: of it.
- 1:06:03Speaker 1: Well, we should have.
- 1:06:05Speaker 2: We should have. We should have.
- 1:06:06Speaker 1: We should have gotten two more seasons out of it.
- 1:06:08Speaker 1: I'm glad you finally said something. I feel like it
- 1:06:10Speaker 1: was causing a rift between us.
- 1:06:19Speaker 2: It's awful. That's why I'm saying, like, that's why when
- 1:06:25Speaker 2: we have our sleepover... I want to watch it. I
- 1:06:30Speaker 2: want to watch it. I want to watch the Chain
- 1:06:33Speaker 2: Diaz episodes of when she was doing the stand-up concert
- 1:06:36Speaker 2: and all of that. And do you remember the episode
- 1:06:38Speaker 2: where she had to do the cameos? No, I honestly don't.
- 1:06:43Speaker 2: Miranda spends the night. Miranda spends the night. And she
- 1:06:52Speaker 2: wakes up to her, like, under the bed being like, hey,
- 1:06:55Speaker 2: it's Che Diaz. I know it's your birthday tonight. And
- 1:06:58Speaker 2: she's like, ah! And we were just dying. Like, this
- 1:07:01Speaker 2: stuff that they would do was so funny and perfect.
- 1:07:06Speaker 1: Oh, shit. It was funny and perfect and hilarious. And
- 1:07:11Speaker 1: you said something earlier, and you were right. It was
- 1:07:14Speaker 1: getting better.
- 1:07:15Speaker 2: It was. Right? And then Aiden was gone.
- 1:07:18Speaker 1: And that guy, the downstairs neighbor, that was interesting. The writer. Right?
- 1:07:23Speaker 1: There was just places for it to go.
- 1:07:25Speaker 2: Yeah. I know. You know, but that's what happens. You
- 1:07:31Speaker 2: can't expect something to come back with some people that
- 1:07:33Speaker 2: are that rich, that successful. They don't need the show.
- 1:07:38Speaker 2: There is a risk that they will open their phone,
- 1:07:41Speaker 2: read the hate, and quit. Yeah.
- 1:07:44Speaker 3: Yeah. Yes.
- 1:07:45Speaker 1: And well, we learned that lesson, didn't we, Heather? Yeah,
- 1:07:49Speaker 1: we did. So what happens? What if it comes back again,
- 1:07:52Speaker 1: 10 years and it comes back? Are we just going
- 1:07:53Speaker 1: to be grateful for what?
- 1:07:55Speaker 2: Oh, my God. I will. I will be. I will
- 1:07:58Speaker 2: only praise it. I will go to anything. The premiere.
- 1:08:03Speaker 2: I will treat it differently. If I want to rip
- 1:08:06Speaker 2: on it, I'll call my sister or you. I won't
- 1:08:10Speaker 2: publicly do anything because I need it to stay.
- 1:08:14Speaker 1: Can I say something slightly connected but different? I just
- 1:08:19Speaker 1: went to the movie theater yesterday. Yesterday. And saw Deborah
- 1:08:23Speaker 1: Wars Prada 2.
- 1:08:24Speaker 2: How was it? I haven't seen it yet.
- 1:08:25Speaker 1: So in the same vein of like a beloved thing,
- 1:08:30Speaker 1: like I, and maybe it's because of what happened with
- 1:08:33Speaker 1: Sex and the City, I was prepared to just be grateful.
- 1:08:37Speaker 1: Just grateful. I loved it so much.
- 1:08:44Speaker 2: Oh, good.
- 1:08:45Speaker 1: I thought it was sensational. Oh, good. A perfect movie,
- 1:08:51Speaker 1: like good on its own and a great, great, great,
- 1:08:54Speaker 1: great addition to that, except for one thing. There's a
- 1:08:58Speaker 1: scene where they cut the- and i'm not going to
- 1:09:00Speaker 1: ruin anything everyone but they cut the budget at the
- 1:09:02Speaker 1: magazine and miranda has to fly to italy for a
- 1:09:06Speaker 1: fashion thing and they show her walking through first business
- 1:09:10Speaker 1: and sitting in coach and i'm telling you right now
- 1:09:15Speaker 1: Even if they cut the budget, she would have paid
- 1:09:17Speaker 1: for her own first class ticket. Hello.
- 1:09:19Speaker 3: Right.
- 1:09:19Speaker 1: That was the one thing that took me out of it.
- 1:09:21Speaker 1: But that's why I give it an A, not an
- 1:09:23Speaker 1: A plus because of that. It was so sensational, I thought.
- 1:09:28Speaker 2: So one snafu, but the rest. Okay. I totally agree
- 1:09:32Speaker 2: with that. I don't like, and I get hung up
- 1:09:34Speaker 2: on things like that, which is what got me critical.
- 1:09:39Speaker 2: I'm definitely going to go see that. Did you see
- 1:09:40Speaker 2: the Michael Jackson movie?
- 1:09:42Speaker 1: No. No. They cut my part.
- 1:09:45Speaker 2: You were in it?
- 1:09:46Speaker 1: No, I'm kidding. I can't even imagine. No, I was Liberace. No,
- 1:09:53Speaker 1: it was, I haven't seen it. I don't know. I
- 1:09:56Speaker 1: don't know. It seems a little, I'm speaking about something.
- 1:09:59Speaker 1: I'll tell you why I don't, I have no interest
- 1:10:00Speaker 1: in seeing it. Now I may see it and love
- 1:10:02Speaker 1: it because I have no principles.
- 1:10:04Speaker 3: Okay.
- 1:10:04Speaker 1: So let me just put that out there that I
- 1:10:05Speaker 1: may change my mind here. It just seems a little
- 1:10:08Speaker 1: controlled by the family for me. So it kind of
- 1:10:10Speaker 1: seems like not real life version of a biopic about
- 1:10:16Speaker 1: the real human being. It seems like a sanitized, curated version.
- 1:10:19Speaker 2: Well, I guess there's no mention of anything, of any
- 1:10:22Speaker 2: accusations of him with the young children, which I can
- 1:10:28Speaker 2: understand not to do that. But I thought you could
- 1:10:32Speaker 2: do it and you could have made it part of
- 1:10:34Speaker 2: his life, but you also could have just shown the
- 1:10:37Speaker 2: perspective of what he said the whole time, that he
- 1:10:41Speaker 2: was innocent and that it was these parents that were
- 1:10:44Speaker 2: doing this and there was a connection, whatever. But I
- 1:10:47Speaker 2: think they just wanted to be about the music and
- 1:10:49Speaker 2: the fun and all that. Because the goal of the
- 1:10:52Speaker 2: family is that the music always remains popular and therefore
- 1:10:56Speaker 2: the musicals and things like that can continue. Did you
- 1:10:59Speaker 2: know that they never mentioned Janet Jackson at all in
- 1:11:02Speaker 2: the movie?
- 1:11:03Speaker 1: Yeah, apparently she declined to.
- 1:11:06Speaker 2: Sign off?
- 1:11:07Speaker 1: To sign off on it, apparently.
- 1:11:08Speaker 2: So she would have had to have someone... Because I
- 1:11:11Speaker 2: feel like That's interesting because I think if you're a
- 1:11:14Speaker 2: public figure, you know, if someone was going to do
- 1:11:17Speaker 2: the movie of Chelsea Lately, which they will in a
- 1:11:21Speaker 2: few years.
- 1:11:21Speaker 1: Yeah, I was going to say when they do.
- 1:11:23Speaker 2: And some young guy plays Ross Matthews.
- 1:11:26Speaker 3: Sure.
- 1:11:27Speaker 2: You're not going to have to sign off on that.
- 1:11:29Speaker 2: You're going to wake up one day and see that
- 1:11:31Speaker 2: they cast someone that is either better looking than you
- 1:11:34Speaker 2: ever were or not as cute as you.
- 1:11:38Speaker 1: They would go, so not cute.
- 1:11:41Speaker 2: Right?
- 1:11:41Speaker 1: You know, it'd be like, he has no pizzazz. You
- 1:11:45Speaker 1: know what I mean? Like they would just get some
- 1:11:48Speaker 1: Pillsbury Doughboy with no personality to play me. I would
- 1:11:54Speaker 1: need to sign off. I would need to see. I
- 1:11:56Speaker 1: would hold auditions.
- 1:11:57Speaker 2: But that's only if you can do that. That's only
- 1:12:01Speaker 2: if you can be allowed to do that and you'd
- 1:12:03Speaker 2: have to be a part of it. I'm just saying,
- 1:12:04Speaker 2: they don't have to tell you. When there's movies done about,
- 1:12:08Speaker 2: you know, things that happen in history or movies or
- 1:12:11Speaker 2: crimes or whatever they don't have to but I guess
- 1:12:13Speaker 2: something with.
- 1:12:14Speaker 1: This because the family they were like she was like
- 1:12:17Speaker 1: now I'm doing fan fiction but she was probably like
- 1:12:19Speaker 1: I don't even want my name in it or something
- 1:12:21Speaker 1: you know because when they.
- 1:12:22Speaker 2: Did the Jackson 5 like when they did that movie
- 1:12:25Speaker 2: where Angela Bassett played the mother and it was like
- 1:12:28Speaker 2: a made for TV movie mini series you know and
- 1:12:32Speaker 2: it was about When all the kids were little and stuff,
- 1:12:34Speaker 2: they had every kid represented.
- 1:12:36Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:12:36Speaker 2: Yeah, they did. And it was not good. It was
- 1:12:38Speaker 2: about the dad being abusive, a cheater.
- 1:12:41Speaker 1: Yeah. When they make the Chelsea Lately movie, who do
- 1:12:45Speaker 1: you want to play you? I need two options.
- 1:12:51Speaker 2: Oh, my God. Honestly, like, she doesn't look like me,
- 1:12:58Speaker 2: but Megan Stalter from Hacks.
- 1:13:02Speaker 1: Oh, yeah.
- 1:13:03Speaker 2: She's so funny that.
- 1:13:05Speaker 1: She is so funny.
- 1:13:06Speaker 2: And she's like, you know, in five years would be
- 1:13:08Speaker 2: like the right age of me back then or so.
- 1:13:13Speaker 2: I'm just thinking of someone who's funny. I mean, I'd
- 1:13:16Speaker 2: also go with like a no name that, that just,
- 1:13:19Speaker 2: it would just have to, it doesn't have to be
- 1:13:21Speaker 2: the look so much as the personality, someone that could
- 1:13:25Speaker 2: play it off well.
- 1:13:26Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:13:26Speaker 1: But she's got to be like, and this is a compliment,
- 1:13:29Speaker 1: she's got to be ambitious too. You know what I mean?
- 1:13:31Speaker 1: She's got to be like smart and not just funny.
- 1:13:35Speaker 1: She's got to like be like, you know, like a
- 1:13:38Speaker 1: boss a little bit.
- 1:13:39Speaker 2: Right. I mean, it could be, God, you know what?
- 1:13:43Speaker 2: We could probably just sadly have AI do the whole
- 1:13:46Speaker 2: thing for us right now.
- 1:13:47Speaker 1: Oh my God. Give me five minutes and I'll make
- 1:13:50Speaker 1: the movie. Hey, because I pay for premium. Give me
- 1:13:54Speaker 1: one second.
- 1:13:55Speaker 2: Give me one second. Younger Heather McDonald, younger Ross Matthew.
- 1:14:00Speaker 2: Put him on a panel with Chelsea. No, it's. I
- 1:14:08Speaker 2: saw Chelsea last night at the at the after party
- 1:14:11Speaker 2: for Kevin Hart.
- 1:14:13Speaker 1: How was it?
- 1:14:14Speaker 2: It was fun. She was great. I've just seen her
- 1:14:16Speaker 2: a few times.
- 1:14:17Speaker 1: She looked so beautiful.
- 1:14:17Speaker 2: In the last couple of years. Yeah. Her outfit was
- 1:14:19Speaker 2: really good. And she did a great job. So, you know,
- 1:14:24Speaker 2: it was, we had a few minutes of hugging and like,
- 1:14:26Speaker 2: how's everything going? I told her, you know, I thought
- 1:14:28Speaker 2: it was good. I said, did you get mad? Were you,
- 1:14:32Speaker 2: were anything upsetting that they were saying to you? Or
- 1:14:35Speaker 2: were you just able to play that off perfectly? Because
- 1:14:37Speaker 2: it's just so harsh on everyone. And she was like, no,
- 1:14:41Speaker 2: I don't fucking care. I'm drunk and having fun. Like
- 1:14:43Speaker 2: she was just great. Yeah. So it was all it
- 1:14:46Speaker 2: was all good. But I think, yeah, I thought it
- 1:14:48Speaker 2: was really good. Yeah. So that would be.
- 1:14:50Speaker 1: I like that you guys are good.
- 1:14:53Speaker 2: Oh, yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I saw her a couple of
- 1:14:55Speaker 2: years ago at a restaurant when I was celebrating my birthday.
- 1:14:58Speaker 2: And so that we were good then. And it's like.
- 1:15:01Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:15:01Speaker 2: It was, it was great. I know you guys had
- 1:15:03Speaker 2: like a fun dinner. Yeah.
- 1:15:05Speaker 1: We've, we've actually seen each other more since I lived
- 1:15:07Speaker 1: in New York than when I lived in LA.
- 1:15:09Speaker 2: Oh, good. So when she makes a stop there, she
- 1:15:11Speaker 2: reaches out.
- 1:15:12Speaker 1: She's good at that. You know, reaching out, like I'm
- 1:15:13Speaker 1: going to be here. I'm going to be in town
- 1:15:15Speaker 1: and do this. And, and I really, yeah, I'm really
- 1:15:18Speaker 1: grateful to have that kind of relationship with you, but
- 1:15:21Speaker 1: I have, don't you feel like I have that with
- 1:15:23Speaker 1: everybody that was on the round table?
- 1:15:25Speaker 2: Yeah, there were a few writers that wrote with her
- 1:15:29Speaker 2: that I worked with at Chelsea that were at the party, too.
- 1:15:31Speaker 1: Oh, good.
- 1:15:32Speaker 2: And lovely to see them. And, you know, I mean,
- 1:15:36Speaker 2: the show's been off for almost 12 years.
- 1:15:39Speaker 1: That's wild. Wild.
- 1:15:41Speaker 2: It's really wild when, like, you know, like I did
- 1:15:45Speaker 2: my live show for the Netflix is a joke, live
- 1:15:47Speaker 2: Juicy Scoop on Saturday night. And it was at the
- 1:15:50Speaker 2: Avalon Theater. And these two young girls were setting up
- 1:15:54Speaker 2: the stage and everything. and I just was, like, talking
- 1:15:58Speaker 2: to them, you know. And then the girl's like, no,
- 1:16:01Speaker 2: I know who you are. I read your book. She's like,
- 1:16:04Speaker 2: was like a stage person, stagehand. And I'm like, she's like, yeah,
- 1:16:09Speaker 2: I used to watch it when I was younger, and
- 1:16:11Speaker 2: I read your book. And I was like, really? Like,
- 1:16:14Speaker 2: I just, sometimes you just sort of forget, and then
- 1:16:16Speaker 2: you realize, like, how long ago that was. And so,
- 1:16:21Speaker 2: but it's really fun, and that's why it was fun that...
- 1:16:24Speaker 2: you know, that Chelsea and Kevin Hart have remained friends
- 1:16:27Speaker 2: that whole time and as she has with you. And, um,
- 1:16:31Speaker 2: so it was all, it was all, it was great.
- 1:16:32Speaker 2: It was really, it was a fun, I'm glad I
- 1:16:34Speaker 2: went to the party.
- 1:16:35Speaker 1: I'm glad you went to, you know, and I am
- 1:16:37Speaker 1: glad that we're all still so close. I just talked
- 1:16:39Speaker 1: to Josh Wolf on the phone two days ago.
- 1:16:41Speaker 2: Yeah. I, when I was in Vegas, I was like,
- 1:16:44Speaker 2: any chance you guys can get dinner, but he was
- 1:16:46Speaker 2: out of town. So when he comes to LA, he
- 1:16:49Speaker 2: does juicy scoop and, I love that his son works
- 1:16:52Speaker 2: with him on the road and yeah, it's like, it's so,
- 1:16:56Speaker 2: it's so good.
- 1:16:57Speaker 1: I'm really proud of us. We're growing up, Heather. We
- 1:16:59Speaker 1: are growing up, you know, isn't that weird?
- 1:17:01Speaker 2: I look at you.
- 1:17:02Speaker 1: I'm like, what the fuck? What is happening? But I
- 1:17:07Speaker 1: also am like, just so really grateful to like, you know,
- 1:17:12Speaker 1: it's like I told you about my mom. I want
- 1:17:13Speaker 1: to stick around for as long as possible. I feel
- 1:17:15Speaker 1: like I'm holding up my end of the bargain or
- 1:17:17Speaker 1: at least trying to, you know.
- 1:17:19Speaker 2: And I'm so excited. So tell everybody when they can
- 1:17:21Speaker 2: watch your debut as the reunion host of the tell-all
- 1:17:28Speaker 2: of 90 Day Single Life.
- 1:17:31Speaker 1: It's May 18th and May 25th, so this coming Monday.
- 1:17:34Speaker 1: It's a two-parter.
- 1:17:36Speaker 2: It's a two-parter.
- 1:17:38Speaker 1: Um, and I really, you know, I don't make it
- 1:17:41Speaker 1: about myself. I really make it about them. Uh, I
- 1:17:44Speaker 1: try to do it with heart, but firm, you know
- 1:17:46Speaker 1: how I am. And, uh, as a lover, uh, and
- 1:17:51Speaker 1: I really, I really think the fans are going to be, uh,
- 1:17:55Speaker 1: excited about this because I, I took it seriously and
- 1:17:57Speaker 1: I had so much fun doing it. So there are
- 1:17:59Speaker 1: a lot of 90 day fiance viewers out there. Hello,
- 1:18:02Speaker 1: I'm Ross. I'm one of you. And this is really
- 1:18:06Speaker 1: sort of a culmination of a dream come true. You know,
- 1:18:09Speaker 1: I get infatuated with things. And then I like to,
- 1:18:13Speaker 1: like I say, crawl into the TV and get into
- 1:18:16Speaker 1: the thing that I'm really obsessed with. This is my
- 1:18:18Speaker 1: favorite example of doing that. So I hope everybody loves it.
- 1:18:21Speaker 2: Well, thank you so much. This was so much fun.
- 1:18:23Speaker 2: We covered a lot. And I loved the ketchup. And
- 1:18:28Speaker 2: I will be in touch about planning our weekend for real.
- 1:18:32Speaker 1: I love you for real. You know I do.
- 1:18:34Speaker 2: I love you for real. Okay. Love it.
- 1:18:37Speaker 1: Love you.
- 1:18:37Speaker 2: Thanks.
- 1:18:38Speaker 1: Thank you. Bye, everybody.
- 1:18:40Speaker 2: Bye.
- 1:18:41Speaker 1: Christmas shopping has already started in our house.
- 1:18:44Speaker 2: My daughter is so organized, already planning Christmas gifts from.
- 1:18:47Speaker 1: Macaulay, hair care for her aunt and a family. fragrance
- 1:18:50Speaker 1: for her bestie but the apple doesn't fall far from
- 1:18:52Speaker 1: the tree I'm an early bird buying one present a
- 1:18:55Speaker 1: week from now till Christmas which makes budgeting less stressful
- 1:18:58Speaker 1: I can buy in store or online from Macaulay.ie for
