- 0:00SPEAKER_01: It's Twitter one.
- 0:18SPEAKER_01: You guys asked, you guys asked, and you shall receive today.
- 0:23SPEAKER_01: Hey, guess what?
- 0:24SPEAKER_01: We're talking Dynasty, baby.
- 0:26SPEAKER_01: Dynasty is everybody's favorite league.
- 0:29SPEAKER_01: It's not my favorite league, but it's everybody else's favorite league.
- 0:31SPEAKER_01: Of course, Tip, Nico, alongside.
- 0:34SPEAKER_01: How do you guys feel about it?
- 0:36SPEAKER_02: I love Dynasty.
- 0:37SPEAKER_02: I think you're right.
- 0:38SPEAKER_02: I mean, it's fun.
- 0:39SPEAKER_02: It it adds a whole nother element to the game where it can make it a year-round thing.
- 0:45SPEAKER_02: And uh that's for me what makes it fun.
- 0:47SPEAKER_02: You can always talk trades, you can always talk draft picks.
- 0:51SPEAKER_02: Um, it's it's what makes it really fun for me.
- 0:54SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I love dynasty.
- 0:56SPEAKER_00: I think you know, at the end of the day, I love being in multiple different types of leagues, right?
- 1:02SPEAKER_00: That way you get a flavor, you know, of redraft, you get a flavor of dynasty.
- 1:07SPEAKER_00: But you know, there is something really fun about a dynasty league, and I'm excited to get into it with you, gentlemen.
- 1:13SPEAKER_01: Yeah, because we're gonna be taking a break, of course, from the redraft this or that, and all that good stuff, which of course I to really enjoy, and I think it really also adds an element of what to do when you're in the redraft process.
- 1:26SPEAKER_01: But today we're gonna be talking about our dynasty stuff, like this strategies, different segments, superstars, the busts, the people that you want, the losers, including myself, and all that good stuff.
- 1:38SPEAKER_01: But of course, we're gonna be discussing different draft strategies, what mistakes people make, why you want to make those types of moves, strategies, maneuvers, and all that good stuff.
- 1:48SPEAKER_01: But of course, we're gonna kick it off with some news and notes.
- 1:51SPEAKER_01: Nico, this one's gonna be up to you.
- 1:57SPEAKER_02: NFL headlines.
- 2:01SPEAKER_02: Oh well, we stepped up to CNN.
- 2:03SPEAKER_02: All right, gentlemen.
- 2:04SPEAKER_00: Not bad, huh?
- 2:06SPEAKER_00: All right, gentlemen.
- 2:07SPEAKER_00: Well, uh, I don't know if everyone's kind of taking time off here for the 4th of July or what, which by the way, happy 4th of July to all you listeners out there.
- 2:15SPEAKER_00: Um, a few notes from the past week.
- 2:18SPEAKER_00: Um, according to Bill's beat writer, uh Matt Perino, James Cook is to be used more in the passing game in 2026.
- 2:28SPEAKER_00: I'll tell you what, James Cook to me, if he can get involved in the passing game, which you know he should have been getting involved all along, he could easily break fantasy football.
- 2:43SPEAKER_00: He, to me, is one of the most efficient runners in the game, tied to a top offense.
- 2:48SPEAKER_00: I mean, he was top five in yards per touch, explosive rating, breakaway runs, expected points added.
- 2:54SPEAKER_00: And the only downfall that's honestly keeping him out of the consensus or outside of the top five in um most uh most league or most not most leagues, sorry, um, most draft formats right now is truly because he's doesn't have that receiving upside.
- 3:10SPEAKER_00: I mean, he averages about 40 targets a year, and if that ramps up even closer to something like 60, I mean, watch out.
- 3:18SPEAKER_02: There is a problem, Miko, and it's Ty Johnson.
- 3:22SPEAKER_02: Ty Johnson gets catches last year.
- 3:24SPEAKER_02: He got 24.
- 3:25SPEAKER_02: Uh, and and and that's a lot for a part-time player that he is.
- 3:30SPEAKER_02: Uh, he's utilized there in the third downs mainly.
- 3:33SPEAKER_02: But I I think that as long as Ty Johnson's there, Ty Johnson's still gonna get his man.
- 3:38SPEAKER_02: And and last year, again, 24.
- 3:40SPEAKER_02: I think he can probably get that again, maybe a little bit more.
- 3:44SPEAKER_02: That's gonna eat into what James Cook is doing.
- 3:47SPEAKER_02: But I like that they're saying it.
- 3:48SPEAKER_02: I like that they're talking about getting him in space because that's what you're gonna do to help uh keep his longevity, uh, to keep his career going.
- 3:56SPEAKER_02: So that that's good news.
- 3:58SPEAKER_02: That's what you want to hear.
- 3:59SPEAKER_02: Him running in between the tackles.
- 4:01SPEAKER_02: I'm I'm not saying James Cook is not a big guy and he can't take the tack, take can't take the the the the punishment, but he can't take the punishment.
- 4:09SPEAKER_02: Like it's just it's just gonna happen.
- 4:11SPEAKER_02: So I do like the fact that they're trying to get him creative ways of getting him the ball.
- 4:15SPEAKER_02: So we'll see.
- 4:17SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 4:18SPEAKER_00: He thinks I'm over here worried about Ty Johnson.
- 4:22SPEAKER_02: I'm not I'm not worried about Ty, but I'm saying Ty Johnson's gonna be that's what I'm saying, it's gonna be a factor in the past game.
- 4:28SPEAKER_01: Ty Johnson, he you know, James Cook, he's already a RB1 drafted in the top 10 in redraft leagues.
- 4:35SPEAKER_01: Um honestly, like he already has such a I already hold a high opinion about him.
- 4:41SPEAKER_01: I don't really know how it can go any higher.
- 4:43SPEAKER_01: Um, this only uh verifies what I think is going to happen this year for him, and that's gonna get those receptions, and he's just gonna prove why he is an RB1 in fantasy football.
- 4:55SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I mean, to me, it's the only thing in his profile right now that's missing.
- 5:00SPEAKER_00: I mean, he's electric, he's efficient, he's just not on the level of CMC, how tip feels about Saquon this year when it comes to receiving upside.
- 5:09SPEAKER_00: Like that is truly been his one downfall.
- 5:11SPEAKER_00: So, yes, it's a very encouraging um to hear that from a Bills beat reporter.
- 5:16SPEAKER_00: Um, another news note here is Bucks NFL beat writer uh for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Rick Stroud.
- 5:25SPEAKER_00: He joined the Bet MGM show, and he said he believes Bucky Irving and Kenneth Gainwell will be used interchangeably with the Bucks going with the quote unquote hot hand.
- 5:36SPEAKER_00: They probably want to keep Bucky around 15 touches per game.
- 5:43SPEAKER_00: I opened the floor to you.
- 5:45SPEAKER_01: This is not good for Bucky.
- 5:47SPEAKER_01: I'm already so low on the Buccaneers running backs that this like they could say, oh, they're good both gonna get 30 touches a game.
- 5:55SPEAKER_01: I would still be like, nah, I'm not touching either one of those.
- 5:59SPEAKER_01: And this this this doesn't move me in either direction, so I'm still not touching either one of those.
- 6:06SPEAKER_02: Look, if if you if you say Bucky Irving and 15 touches as efficient as he is, I'm happy with that.
- 6:14SPEAKER_02: It is just the thing, the issue again is how healthy can he stay, you know.
- 6:20SPEAKER_02: Uh 15 touches, that that that is a lot for him.
- 6:24SPEAKER_02: But I I look, I I'm I'm actually now I'm still gonna go with Kenneth Gainwell because you can get him about four or five rounds later than you can Bucky Irving.
- 6:35SPEAKER_02: But I think that this could close the gap a little bit more.
- 6:39SPEAKER_02: Um, maybe Bucky Irving starts to uh go up and or or Kenneth Gainwell starts to go like it might close the gap a little bit more with this being said, because now you got the people who are going hard on Kenneth Gainwell, like myself.
- 6:52SPEAKER_02: I was like, man, I'm gonna get him in all all the leagues.
- 6:55SPEAKER_02: I got him in the Scott Fisherbowl league that I was just in this last week, weekend.
- 6:58SPEAKER_02: So it's like, yeah, this is the this is the time to get Kenneth Gainwell because the Bucky Irving thing is not going to stop, they're gonna say all the great things in camp, but again, it's about longevity with him.
- 7:13SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I'm actually kind of shocked that you you feel that way.
- 7:17SPEAKER_00: I think not necessarily about Kenneth Gainwell.
- 7:20SPEAKER_00: I I do agree with you there that you know, from a redraft standpoint, and I know today's a dynasty show, but I do agree that there's some value to be had there.
- 7:29SPEAKER_00: I think for me, when I'm looking at you know Bucky Irving and hearing that you know they're gonna ride a hot hand and you know they're not necessarily going to give Bucky the bell cow work, which most people are feeling that that's not gonna be the case, anyways.
- 7:44SPEAKER_00: But to hear it reiterated by someone, you know, who is in the organization is definitely not something I would want to hear.
- 7:51SPEAKER_00: Um, but it's also something good to know prior to obviously redraft season.
- 7:56SPEAKER_00: I just think Kenny G's no slouch, right?
- 7:58SPEAKER_00: And he's gonna primarily be used as a pass catcher.
- 8:01SPEAKER_00: There's still Sean Tucker who could take some goal line looks while Bucky kind of lives between the 20s.
- 8:07SPEAKER_00: You know, he's someone that at least for me in redraft boards, he's definitely falling down.
- 8:12SPEAKER_00: That said, keeping a dynasty focused, low-key, I think the value's low, so it's a good opportunity to get some feelers out.
- 8:20SPEAKER_02: The key point, the key number here is 15 around 15 touches for Bucky Irving.
- 8:25SPEAKER_02: If he can get 15 touches around 15 touch, that means anywhere from 12 to 17, because he might have some games where he might only get 12 touches, which again is not bad.
- 8:36SPEAKER_02: And then he might have some games where he's feeling good.
- 8:38SPEAKER_02: Coach is like, Man, he's he's hot, he's got the hot hand.
- 8:41SPEAKER_02: He might get 17, 18.
- 8:42SPEAKER_02: Hell, he might even get 20 touches that game.
- 8:45SPEAKER_02: He did it last year.
- 8:46SPEAKER_02: Yeah, he had he had a game where he almost had 30.
- 8:48SPEAKER_02: I think he had close to 30 touches.
- 8:50SPEAKER_02: So it's it's just it's it's one of those things last year.
- 8:53SPEAKER_02: I liked it last year, yeah.
- 8:55SPEAKER_02: Like, I believe so.
- 8:56SPEAKER_02: Yeah, he had he had one game.
- 8:57SPEAKER_02: Let's go fact check it.
- 8:58SPEAKER_02: I'll check 17.
- 9:00SPEAKER_00: So obviously, there was early on Bucky, right?
- 9:04SPEAKER_00: Like until the injury happened.
- 9:05SPEAKER_00: Two different buckies.
- 9:06SPEAKER_00: There was a game where he had 25 carries and four receptions on okay.
- 9:12SPEAKER_03: So close to nine, so but that was 30 pre right.
- 9:16SPEAKER_00: That was kind of pre-injury, but once he got back, yeah, he never he had a game with uh no tips, right?
- 9:23SPEAKER_00: There was uh 26 attempts in week 18 when we don't care about everyone was done playing fantasy football anymore.
- 9:30SPEAKER_00: Yeah, we don't care about that.
- 9:31SPEAKER_02: Hey, but he did it for those week week 18ers out there.
- 9:34SPEAKER_02: He they they did it, man.
- 9:35SPEAKER_00: I mean, like Zay Flowers week 18 God.
- 9:39SPEAKER_02: I think I think I think this is not bad news for Bucky, man.
- 9:43SPEAKER_02: I think I think it hurts Kenneth a little bit, Kenneth Gainwell just a little bit, but he's still he's been he's been he's been making so much noise in in in um offseason OTAs and stuff.
- 9:53SPEAKER_02: I want to see if he can continue that noise in training camp into preseason.
- 9:56SPEAKER_02: I'm really looking forward to seeing because they're gonna have to see what they can get out of both of these guys in the preseason.
- 10:02SPEAKER_02: I that's gonna be a really key battle to watch.
- 10:06SPEAKER_01: Yeah, definitely going to have to agree, but I'm letting you guys know that if you draft either one of them, you automatically lost your fantasy league.
- 10:15SPEAKER_01: But dynasty strategies in general, what it means, why you believe it or don't, commonly made mistakes, and of course, you gotta give me an example.
- 10:26SPEAKER_01: You can't just say you gotta give me an example.
- 10:28SPEAKER_01: Show me the proof in the pudding, Nico.
- 10:30SPEAKER_01: I'm starting off with you.
- 10:34SPEAKER_00: Say that again.
- 10:35SPEAKER_00: Sorry.
- 10:36SPEAKER_00: This guy, this guy, this guy, not locked in.
- 10:39SPEAKER_00: Sorry, guys, not locked.
- 10:40SPEAKER_01: Tip tip tape take take the four.
- 10:42SPEAKER_01: He lost his turn, he lost his turn.
- 10:44SPEAKER_02: He lost his turn.
- 10:45SPEAKER_02: Give me a shot, Toad.
- 10:46SPEAKER_02: Give me a shot.
- 10:47SPEAKER_02: Ghost in the quiet corner with your dunce hat on.
- 10:51SPEAKER_01: Left bench.
- 10:52SPEAKER_01: That's where you're bat right now.
- 10:53SPEAKER_01: God, uh oh my god.
- 10:56SPEAKER_01: Okay, you know what?
- 10:58SPEAKER_01: I'm gonna say it a little slower.
- 11:00SPEAKER_01: Okay, I'm gonna say a little slower for you this time, okay?
- 11:04SPEAKER_01: Um, yeah, dynasty draft strategies or strategies in general, what it means, why you believe in it, common mistakes other dynasty managers make, and then of course, give me an example, a real life example, proof in the pudding.
- 11:19SPEAKER_01: Very good cards.
- 11:20SPEAKER_02: This is this is what we call it.
- 11:21SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I mean, well deserved.
- 11:26SPEAKER_00: Well deserved.
- 11:27SPEAKER_00: Um, no, so for me, when I'm when I'm thinking about dynasty, you know, one thing to me that I find is a common mistake is teams constantly stockpiling draft picks and players for the future.
- 11:40SPEAKER_00: I mean, listen, if you're constantly building for the future, what does that do for your team in regards to being competitive on a consistent basis?
- 11:48SPEAKER_00: It's really important to identify your team and how competitive you think they are in the moment, and then go from there.
- 11:55SPEAKER_00: You don't want to live in you know mediocracy like every Minnesota sports team.
- 12:00SPEAKER_00: So, like, sure, if you're a team that you know is older, maybe not competitive, engage with your league mates to build draft capital for an aging um player.
- 12:09SPEAKER_00: You know, look to trade guys like you know, Derek Henry, Mike Evans, Christian McCaffrey, Devontae Adams.
- 12:16SPEAKER_00: But at the same time, like don't do it, don't do so much of it that you put yourself in a situation where you end up having more draft picks than actual roster spots, and try to get a player in return who still has value instead of like, for example, three picks in an upcoming draft, like make it a younger player while still getting a pick.
- 12:40SPEAKER_00: I mean, to me, like that's the worst place to be, in my opinion, because then all of a sudden you're finishing in like sixth, eighth place with aging players and no elite assets.
- 12:50SPEAKER_00: So the middle is where dynasty teams go to die.
- 12:53SPEAKER_00: If you're not a real contender, do not manage your roster like one.
- 13:00SPEAKER_01: Living in mediocracy, the Steelers, Minnesota.
- 13:05SPEAKER_01: I was gonna bears.
- 13:06SPEAKER_01: Actually, the Bears are never really there.
- 13:08SPEAKER_01: The uh Packers.
- 13:10SPEAKER_01: Um yeah, uh I'm trying to think of like other teams that are just I'm surprised we haven't said my Raiders yet.
- 13:16SPEAKER_01: I'm just I'm they've they've never reached mediocre.
- 13:19SPEAKER_01: I'm shocked.
- 13:20SPEAKER_01: Oh, damn, they haven't even reached mediocrity.
- 13:22SPEAKER_01: Oh, come on, like really, like where when 2013 they hit mediocracy once for a little flash in the pan.
- 13:29SPEAKER_01: We're gonna show you.
- 13:30SPEAKER_01: Derek Carr legacies.
- 13:31SPEAKER_01: Derek, that was you know, Derek Carr made a career out of that year.
- 13:36SPEAKER_01: Um, but tip help us out here.
- 13:38SPEAKER_02: Okay, yeah, no, Nico talked about you know the future that always mortgaging for the future, for the future, for the because that can turn into a vicious cycle.
- 13:47SPEAKER_02: He's right.
- 13:47SPEAKER_02: So instead, attempt to win this season, the season that you're in, you know, mix it up with some really young players.
- 13:54SPEAKER_02: We're gonna talk about some young players later on, uh, and particularly uh one of my players, but we're also gonna talk about some players that aren't so young, who've been in the league a few years now.
- 14:04SPEAKER_02: Mix it up with a little bit of both of those, because then you get the best of both worlds.
- 14:09SPEAKER_02: You get guys who are about to be at their prime or in the middle of their prime with guys who may be ascending uh later on in the next couple of years.
- 14:18SPEAKER_02: So try to keep a healthy balance of that.
- 14:20SPEAKER_02: Don't always try to go after the young players because young players sometimes have a hard time finding the field and and and staying on the field consistently.
- 14:30SPEAKER_02: So you always wanna wanna wanna do that.
- 14:32SPEAKER_02: So, you know, the Derrick Henry approach, you know, I have done some dynasty leagues because of where Derek Henry can go.
- 14:40SPEAKER_02: That I'm like, well, man, I've got four or five players that I can really really build on, and I add Derrick Henry to that.
- 14:47SPEAKER_02: Come on, it's easy, it's a no-brainer.
- 14:50SPEAKER_01: Yeah, you know, a mini example is that I was stuck in mediocracy and I had two choices rebuild or trade my picks for an elite player.
- 14:59SPEAKER_01: I traded my picks for Christian McCaffrey, he got hurt.
- 15:03SPEAKER_01: I'm back in mediocracy.
- 15:04SPEAKER_01: Let's go, baby.
- 15:06SPEAKER_01: Um, but what about last year?
- 15:07SPEAKER_01: You know, oh um yeah, yeah, it didn't, it didn't.
- 15:11SPEAKER_01: I I think I had like C D Lamb, he got hurt.
- 15:14SPEAKER_01: Um you know, I'm not gonna sit here and list you my roster, but everybody except him got hurt.
- 15:19SPEAKER_01: Oh, also Brandon Ayuk did his thing.
- 15:21SPEAKER_01: Um, but that that's a different story for another time, anyway.
- 15:24SPEAKER_01: I ended up with 101, so now I'm in rebuilding.
- 15:27SPEAKER_01: But I mean, I think you guys have said it, uh you don't want to be stuck in mediocracy, you don't want to be the steelers, but you also don't want to be the raiders, you don't want to be stuck rebuilding for 15 years straight.
- 15:44SPEAKER_01: How many times have the Raiders, hypothetically speaking, been in the top five picks of the draft?
- 15:50SPEAKER_01: In the last 20 years, I would say it was about 90 of those, and you don't want to be doing that in dynasty.
- 15:55SPEAKER_01: There's people in my leagues that have been rebuilding since I joined the league, and the league has been reoccurring for about seven years now, six, seven, six, seven.
- 16:04SPEAKER_01: Um, and every single one of those years, somebody has been stuck in that rebuilding phase, and at some point with a hundred dollar buy-in, like you just threw away eight hundred dollars at some point, like you have to think about it from that perspective.
- 16:18SPEAKER_01: Um, I think you should always go for the playoff push.
- 16:20SPEAKER_01: I think that if you are in a contender, pull the Rams, F them picks, and just go for that player.
- 16:28SPEAKER_01: Uh, I did it with C D Lamb, I did it with Christian McCaffrey, I have Josh Allen, and then of course, all you gotta do is just pick up after that one good player, one good player in the draft.
- 16:37SPEAKER_01: That's all you need, one other good player, and then from there, you're your roster's lock and loaded, you hit playoffs, and then from there, it's just anything happens at that point.
- 16:44SPEAKER_01: You know, you just let your stars be stars.
- 16:46SPEAKER_01: And I so go ahead.
- 16:49SPEAKER_02: So, well, I have a question.
- 16:50SPEAKER_02: So, you're you're talking about players that you feel like will go deep into the season, uh, not necessarily.
- 16:58SPEAKER_01: You're looking for elite players all the time, okay at every point, every fantasy and any type of fantasy, uh, league module type, redraft dynasty, 2qb, whatever you're looking for elite players, and you want elite players on your roster.
- 17:13SPEAKER_01: And if you could sacrifice a pick, in my opinion, to get an elite player or somebody who will have an impact, not might have an impact, will have an impact.
- 17:24SPEAKER_01: I say do it.
- 17:25SPEAKER_01: I think I would rather have the known commodity than the unknown commodity, unless you are taking a top three overall pick and you need a running back, then okay, I'm willing to go for the safe unknown commodity because a running back typically will be a safe commodity rather than a wide receiver.
- 17:42SPEAKER_02: Okay, okay, okay.
- 17:44SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I mean, I was in a league, a dynasty league, where the manager made the decision to not necessarily tank, but like he knew that he wasn't winning and didn't like his roster, and he traded a lot of assets for future picks.
- 17:57SPEAKER_00: He ended up getting himself to a point where he had too many picks, and he would be drafting in a you know, uh not a redraft, but a rookie draft, and then all of a sudden he would, you know, either have to trade someone right away or like his roster size was too big.
- 18:14SPEAKER_00: So I think moral of the story here is really just know where your team is at and make adjustments accordingly.
- 18:21SPEAKER_00: And to Natter's point and Tip's point as well, you know, you can always play to win, and then when you get to that midway season of the point where you just you know you don't see the proof in the pudding, you don't see the team being able to make a run, you know, at that point you can look at selling and you know building for the future.
- 18:38SPEAKER_00: But the biggest thing that I've found is it's always impactful.
- 18:42SPEAKER_00: Um, and how you I would rebuild without tanking is try to get a player in return as well as a pick instead of say multiple picks that next year or something like that.
- 18:56SPEAKER_01: And I think another big thing is if you are trading for picks, right?
- 19:01SPEAKER_01: You have to be weary of the draft spot that you might end up in in that traded draft pick.
- 19:07SPEAKER_01: Like if I'm trading, hypothetically speaking, C D lamb for two first rounders, and I know the guy I'm um getting the picks from is gonna have a very competitive team, then those two picks are gonna be near the end of the draft.
- 19:19SPEAKER_01: They're gonna pick 12.
- 19:21SPEAKER_01: I'm not gonna get uh C D Lamb value, probably not.
- 19:24SPEAKER_01: You might you probably are not gonna get C D Lamb type of players in the end of the first round in a redraft league.
- 19:30SPEAKER_01: So at that point, you have to ask yourself, is it worth it?
- 19:33SPEAKER_01: Because realistically, in my opinion, it's not worth it.
- 19:37SPEAKER_01: Now, if you are taking uh picks earlier in the round, then of course, you know, the value changes, and at that point it would be a lot worth it.
- 19:44SPEAKER_01: So you also have to be weary of the other person's plans that you're trading with.
- 19:49SPEAKER_01: Is he going for that push?
- 19:51SPEAKER_01: Is he also uh stuck in mediocracy and he might go either way, or is he also in a bad spot who just really wants an elite player to build around?
- 20:00SPEAKER_00: And from there, uh Nico, I think one thing before we move on, I do think you brought up a very good point about knowing where that specific team is going to be drafting at the same time.
- 20:13SPEAKER_00: Know your league rules.
- 20:15SPEAKER_00: What if they do a snake where the 12 then like you pick back to back at the 12 spot, or does it revert to the person that won the league like one through 12 and then it goes back?
- 20:27SPEAKER_00: So just make sure you know your league rules when you're trading for picks.
- 20:31SPEAKER_00: Um, that way you're not missing out on like in your mind, thinking you get the 13th overall player, but instead you're really getting the 24th overall player if you're trading for a second round.
- 20:42SPEAKER_00: So just know that um know your league rules.
- 20:46SPEAKER_00: Hell yeah.
- 20:49SPEAKER_02: Oh guys, you hear that?
- 20:52SPEAKER_00: Oh, not the hype train.
- 20:57SPEAKER_02: It's the dynasty train, guys, and we're gonna keep the dynasty train rolling.
- 21:01SPEAKER_02: And Burke, first, first, you better look.
- 21:05SPEAKER_02: We guys were on the show, Nico, Nader, myself.
- 21:08SPEAKER_02: We're on the show right now.
- 21:09SPEAKER_02: We put a lot of work, a lot of content into this.
- 21:12SPEAKER_02: You've seen the intros, you've seen some of the work that we did, the sound bites, things like that.
- 21:17SPEAKER_02: Please like and subscribe to the show.
- 21:20SPEAKER_02: I mean, we put a lot of work into it.
- 21:22SPEAKER_02: We appreciate you guys for listening in.
- 21:24SPEAKER_02: Last week, I think we had over 121 views.
- 21:27SPEAKER_02: Uh, it's growing.
- 21:28SPEAKER_02: We appreciate all you guys.
- 21:30SPEAKER_02: So, man, look, check us out on all of our YouTube channels, our uh Twitter accounts, all of it.
- 21:38SPEAKER_02: So just go to our Twitter account, go to our link, linked entry, and you can see all of our uh links from there.
- 21:44SPEAKER_02: So, again, going back to the show, we're gonna be talking about some dynasty winners, some superstars.
- 21:51SPEAKER_02: We're gonna be talking about some sleepers, and then of course, we got to talk about those losers as well.
- 21:56SPEAKER_02: So, we're gonna talk a little about that.
- 21:58SPEAKER_02: We're gonna get a player.
- 22:00SPEAKER_02: For each one of those spots, starting with Nico, who is your dynasty superstar?
- 22:06SPEAKER_02: Now, we gotta do we gotta do soundbox.
- 22:08SPEAKER_02: You're gonna try this one, not for each one of them, but we're gonna try this one for the superstar.
- 22:13SPEAKER_02: Here we go.
- 22:22SPEAKER_02: A star is born.
- 22:25SPEAKER_02: The star is born.
- 22:26SPEAKER_02: So who's your star, Nico?
- 22:29SPEAKER_00: I mean, this dude's already been a star, but now he is a dynasty superstar.
- 22:35SPEAKER_00: And that is Jalen Waddell.
- 22:37SPEAKER_00: Uh, he is a massive winner for me.
- 22:40SPEAKER_00: Uh, the Broncos were first in the NFL last season in past attempts.
- 22:44SPEAKER_00: Yes, even more than the Cowboys and Rams.
- 22:47SPEAKER_00: And Waddle to me is a clear-cut number one wide receiver.
- 22:50SPEAKER_00: Um, they traded for Waddle in um in the offseason uh from the Dolphins.
- 22:56SPEAKER_00: And honestly, like Sutton's gonna be 31 years old uh this season, he's currently 32.7 years old, and his opportunity and production have have dipped.
- 23:05SPEAKER_00: I mean, he was 85th in separation, 35th in yards per route run, and first and uh first downs per route run.
- 23:13SPEAKER_00: And although he was he he's not sharp, not not sharp like he once used to be.
- 23:19SPEAKER_00: And although, like you know, Sutton specifically still, he was fourth in the NFL last year in routes run, he still only had a 21.6 percent target share um and a 21.1 percent target rate.
- 23:33SPEAKER_00: Essentially, Sutton was the cardio king, and meanwhile, Waddle, who is 27.6 years young, I mean, he's got gas left in the tank.
- 23:42SPEAKER_00: I mean, he's still one of the most prolific efficiency receivers in the NFL.
- 23:46SPEAKER_00: He was sixth in first downs per outrun, tenth in yards per outrun, and he just left a team that was bottom three in pass attempts to now number one in the NFL with the Broncos.
- 23:57SPEAKER_00: To me, Waddle, he is a massive winner.
- 24:00SPEAKER_00: And if you're staring at him either in the fifth round of your redrafts, make sure you hit that uh draft button.
- 24:07SPEAKER_00: And in dynasty formats, I mean, yeah, the value might be a little bit higher, but I think he's got you know another solid two to four years of fairly elite production.
- 24:19SPEAKER_02: Now, um I'm just gonna chalk it up to our our our crack team.
- 24:24SPEAKER_02: You know, they they dropped the ball on not getting us a sleeper, so I'm just gonna make a snoring sound.
- 24:31SPEAKER_02: All right, Nico.
- 24:32SPEAKER_02: Who is your sleeper?
- 24:34SPEAKER_02: I love this one by the way.
- 24:36SPEAKER_00: Listen, I love this.
- 24:37SPEAKER_00: I will it, I will admit the fantasy community is warming up to this guy warmer than anyone I've seen on my Twitter feed.
- 24:47SPEAKER_00: But from a dynasty standpoint, specifically, I want to talk about Jonathan Brooks.
- 24:52SPEAKER_00: Uh, his current ADP and redraft is sitting around 10th, 11th round, and at that point in your draft, you need to be prioritizing upside, and that's what this guy is.
- 25:02SPEAKER_00: And from a dynasty standpoint, you know, he's 22.9 years young, he's a former second-round pick, which was 46th overall.
- 25:10SPEAKER_00: The guy ahead of him, I mean, Chuba Hubbard, is one of the least efficient running backs in the league in 2025.
- 25:18SPEAKER_00: Uh Hubbard was 48th in explosive rating, 50th in true yards per carry, and 100th in EPA.
- 25:24SPEAKER_00: Like, no offense, because honestly, all NFL players are way more athletically gifted than I will ever be.
- 25:31SPEAKER_00: But like, this guy sucks.
- 25:33SPEAKER_00: And when he was when he was a reliable fantasy option, he just straight up thrived on opportunity, even though his efficiency was terrible, and he has no upside.
- 25:46SPEAKER_00: He was beaten out by Rico Dotto last year, and Brooks should certainly have an opportunity to take over.
- 25:52SPEAKER_00: Uh, he's been Brooks, that is, he's been participating in OTAs, he's been receiving praise from head coach Dave Canales.
- 25:59SPEAKER_00: Said he looks great in both the run and receiving game and profiles as a three down back.
- 26:05SPEAKER_00: I mean, that's all things that we love in the fantasy football community is receiving upside and bell cow usage.
- 26:11SPEAKER_00: And you combine his still young age, draft value, and Hubbard's inefficiency.
- 26:16SPEAKER_00: And to me, Brooks is a smash sleeper in all formats.
- 26:19SPEAKER_00: His hype is getting real, but like last year, you probably could have traded a second, maybe a third round pick for Brooks.
- 26:29SPEAKER_00: And now I would I I believe it would probably take a late first or an early second to get your hands on him, and that's what I meant earlier in the show when I was discussing like realizing buy low spots, you know, on guys like this, because honestly, the sky's the limit for him as long as he stays healthy and doesn't tear Zay L for a third time.
- 26:51SPEAKER_00: Um he's gonna be a sleeper that's gonna be wide awake.
- 26:56SPEAKER_02: Nico, I mean, Natter, talk to us about Jonathan Brooks from your standpoint, because I really haven't heard your thoughts on him.
- 27:03SPEAKER_02: Because I I know I'm right with Nico.
- 27:05SPEAKER_02: I think that this is a prime spot to get him, um, especially if you're doing drafts like in the next week or over the weekend for 4th of July.
- 27:15SPEAKER_02: Like, there's still people maybe sleeping on him just not as much, but but just a little bit.
- 27:20SPEAKER_02: But go ahead, Natter.
- 27:22SPEAKER_01: I love talking about the Carolina Panthers so much.
- 27:25SPEAKER_01: Um, no, we know you thought that we know a lot of people are sleeping on the Panthers, and specifically Jonathan Brooks.
- 27:33SPEAKER_01: I will be one of them.
- 27:34SPEAKER_02: Um mediocre talent, mediocre team, never stop difficult division.
- 27:44SPEAKER_01: I just don't see much to be like excited about on him.
- 27:47SPEAKER_01: I just think that mediocre talent, come on, dude.
- 27:50SPEAKER_01: Waste a pick on him, then you know, unfortunately, you just have to look your wounds on that one.
- 27:55SPEAKER_01: If you want to waste a third to try to pick him up, then you just wasted a third in that.
- 28:00SPEAKER_01: Uh, I don't know, like it just takes you for him to succeed and for him to be relevant, in my opinion.
- 28:06SPEAKER_01: Yeah, boo boo boo all you want, buddy.
- 28:08SPEAKER_01: Boo all you want.
- 28:08SPEAKER_01: It hurts to be right all the time.
- 28:11SPEAKER_01: I for him to succeed, it takes a scenario that isn't realistic in the near future for the Panthers.
- 28:18SPEAKER_01: Positive game scripts, not realistic for their future.
- 28:22SPEAKER_01: Um, solid offensive line, not realistic in the future, competent it was coordinating.
- 28:28SPEAKER_01: Still, I wouldn't say uh fully in their future.
- 28:32SPEAKER_01: I mean, I I'm not even sold on their new head coach yet.
- 28:34SPEAKER_01: I just don't want any part on that team considering he's always gonna have bad matchups, considering their division is pretty good against the run.
- 28:43SPEAKER_01: Um, I just don't see why I would want to waste my time investing in a player with lower etern.
- 28:50SPEAKER_00: Do you feel that you don't like him because you think he's washed from the multiple ACL injuries, or is it more of a Carolina Panther thing for you?
- 28:59SPEAKER_01: Yeah, that is mostly Panthers.
- 29:02SPEAKER_01: I mean, two ACL tears isn't ideal either.
- 29:05SPEAKER_01: Um, it's always gonna be on my mind when I'm looking at a dynasty.
- 29:08SPEAKER_01: I'd be more interested in him in a redraft setting, but dynasty two ACLs, same leg, I believe it is.
- 29:14SPEAKER_01: He's not Frank Gore, it's not gonna happen for him.
- 29:18SPEAKER_02: Well, from a fantasy standpoint, Carolina Panthers fans keep pounding from a reality standpoint.
- 29:24SPEAKER_02: I could care less.
- 29:26SPEAKER_02: Um uh, but no, like matter, I just don't understand.
- 29:31SPEAKER_02: Like, Jonathan Brooks is is all worldly talented, dude.
- 29:36SPEAKER_02: It's just he had ACL, he had the ACL tears.
- 29:40SPEAKER_02: Like the dude was the dude, the dude, the dude is bad, bro.
- 29:44SPEAKER_02: Like, like yeah, literally.
- 29:48SPEAKER_02: No, I think I think if you if you really look back at what the Carolina Panthers did last year from the year before that, uh, specifically on the defensive side, too, because the year before that, they were about to give up like over 500 points from the defensive side, they improved that.
- 30:04SPEAKER_02: Um, I think they're gonna find themselves in a little bit more positive game scripts than we think, uh, just because they play a slower-paced game, slow methodical type game, which is gonna favor Jonathan Brooks.
- 30:16SPEAKER_02: And look, if the dude gets his speed back that we know he has, um, or he had, uh I don't know which word to use on that one, but but if we if he if he gets back to that speed, ooh, he take he could take the top off Natter.
- 30:31SPEAKER_02: I I think where I think where you're getting, I think, I think you have to look at it too where you're getting him.
- 30:36SPEAKER_02: It's not like you're getting a sixth-round pick or an eighth round pick, like you're getting him like nine, ten, eleven, like you're getting him round uh in those rounds, and and that him being like your fourth running back, man.
- 30:48SPEAKER_02: That's that's that's beautiful.
- 30:50SPEAKER_01: We're talking about dynasty, right?
- 30:51SPEAKER_01: He's going in the ninth round in a dynasty league.
- 30:54SPEAKER_00: Well, when I brought it up, I was talking about ninth, tenth round in redrafts, but I uh took it right over to a dynasty standpoint going into basically how he's still only almost 23 years old.
- 31:09SPEAKER_00: Like, I know most running backs like that Cliff for Dynasty, you're usually looking at about you know 29 years old.
- 31:16SPEAKER_00: You know, Henry is really the one running back right now that is defining the defining the odds.
- 31:22SPEAKER_00: Like at the end of the day, he's still young.
- 31:25SPEAKER_00: Um, and for me, it's really just it's more of a fade of Chuba Hubbard, and the fact that he lost his starting position to Rico Dado last year, and I just think the opportunity is there for him to start the season in a timeshare, but if he clearly showcases that he is more explosive, is more efficient through as the season goes on.
- 31:51SPEAKER_00: I absolutely see a window of opportunity, and from a dynasty standpoint, he's still, like I said, 23 years old.
- 31:56SPEAKER_00: Like he he has the ability to be a reliable fantasy asset on your dynasty team for you know the next six years.
- 32:04SPEAKER_02: I'm looking at I'm looking I'm looking at some dynasty rankings that were just updated today, and I want you guys to guess where Jonathan Brooks is.
- 32:13SPEAKER_02: What number and in the running back, what number running back do you do they have him rank?
- 32:18SPEAKER_01: I'd probably put him like 24.
- 32:22SPEAKER_02: Okay, you Nico.
- 32:23SPEAKER_00: And wait, what you hate him, and you say he's 24?
- 32:30SPEAKER_02: I'm gonna get him, I'm gonna get him good.
- 32:31SPEAKER_02: I'm gonna get him.
- 32:32SPEAKER_01: That doesn't sound that good, but to me that's RB2.
- 32:36SPEAKER_02: That's RB2.
- 32:38SPEAKER_01: That sounds like a flex box.
- 32:39SPEAKER_01: RB2.
- 32:41SPEAKER_00: Um I would probably have him, I would say high 20s, low 30s.
- 32:49SPEAKER_02: He's 36, guys.
- 32:51SPEAKER_00: God damn.
- 32:51SPEAKER_02: Like, I I think I think what it is is the injuries is the injuries is is concerning him.
- 32:56SPEAKER_02: Maybe matters on to something as far as him being on the Carolina Panthers, Chuba Hubbard, you know, they got um they got Etienne's brother over there as well.
- 33:04SPEAKER_02: So I mean, maybe there's some things to that, but I just think that talent-wise, he they they've been waiting for this for the longest time.
- 33:12SPEAKER_02: And with him being a 36-0 RB3 and Dynasty, I don't think that's a bad, bad idea, but what I will say is this you gotta you gotta damn well sure hope that you you gotta you know, look, you gotta damn well sure hope that you if you if you get Jonathan Brooks, you're gonna want to get somebody like another running back in that vicinity really quick, and there's not many.
- 33:39SPEAKER_02: I'm looking at them right now.
- 33:40SPEAKER_02: You're looking at people like Tyler Algier, Jacori Kosky Merritt, Jordan Mason, Woody Marks, Jonan Coleman.
- 33:47SPEAKER_02: I was like, oof, it's not it's not good.
- 33:49SPEAKER_02: It's not good.
- 33:50SPEAKER_00: I kind of like Jonathan Coleman, but I'm still taking Brooks over all those guys.
- 33:56SPEAKER_00: Now, if he was like 25, 26, I'd be much more concerned.
- 34:01SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 34:02SPEAKER_01: Yeah, okay.
- 34:03SPEAKER_01: That's fair.
- 34:04SPEAKER_01: Now, now I will be fair and roundabout where if Chuba Herbert does get phased out, then Jonathan Brooks is a good value at a spot.
- 34:17SPEAKER_01: I will say that.
- 34:17SPEAKER_01: If he gets phased out, and that's my take.
- 34:20SPEAKER_00: That's my take.
- 34:21SPEAKER_00: Like my take is revolved around Chuba being so inefficient in a timeshare, and they clearly see that Brooks is more explosive, and they get to a point where that offense is so vanilla and it's so bland that they need to ride with players that are explosive.
- 34:37SPEAKER_00: And Chuba, sure, he might be reliable.
- 34:40SPEAKER_00: You know, he's obviously been around, he's had a lot of opportunities in his time.
- 34:44SPEAKER_00: But when I'm looking at upside, I see Jonathan Brooks.
- 34:48SPEAKER_01: Didn't they just sign AJ Dylan?
- 34:52SPEAKER_01: Quadzilla?
- 34:53SPEAKER_01: Yeah, the homie.
- 34:55SPEAKER_00: The homie out of uh Green.
- 34:58SPEAKER_00: Yeah, they did.
- 34:59SPEAKER_00: Yeah, they brought him in, but like you think I'm worried about him?
- 35:02SPEAKER_00: He's like goal line back at best, 28 years old.
- 35:06SPEAKER_00: Like, I don't see him as anything more than like a hey, we're on the five-yard line.
- 35:13SPEAKER_00: Like, let's go.
- 35:16SPEAKER_01: Yeah, but that also not even that.
- 35:19SPEAKER_01: Hurts' value doesn't want that's like all the more reason to not want Jonathan Brooks.
- 35:24SPEAKER_02: You guys remember all the hype?
- 35:25SPEAKER_02: Oh my god, he's got the biggest quads ever.
- 35:28SPEAKER_02: Oh, I don't see how the linebackers could stop him.
- 35:32SPEAKER_02: Dude is soft, bro.
- 35:34SPEAKER_02: Like, exactly.
- 35:34SPEAKER_02: You can't be that big and soft.
- 35:36SPEAKER_00: No.
- 35:37SPEAKER_00: Oh my god.
- 35:38SPEAKER_00: Well, anyways, Nico, I'm gonna talk about my dynasty loser.
- 35:41SPEAKER_00: Wait, wait, wait.
- 35:42SPEAKER_02: No, no, wait, wait.
- 35:43SPEAKER_02: Before no, before you do your loser or the burnt loser, we gotta do our soundbite, Nico.
- 35:49SPEAKER_02: Hold on, real quick.
- 35:50SPEAKER_02: This is a burnt loser crisp.
- 35:58SPEAKER_02: Burnt to a crisp.
- 36:01SPEAKER_02: Burnt to a crisp.
- 36:03SPEAKER_02: All right, who is it?
- 36:04SPEAKER_02: Because I think he is crispy.
- 36:06SPEAKER_00: No, I mean this guy, he's just a loser all around.
- 36:09SPEAKER_00: Uh, bad offense, bad QB situation, and he himself is bad.
- 36:15SPEAKER_00: And that would be Jerry Judy.
- 36:17SPEAKER_00: Uh, Jerry Judy was a former uh first round pick in 2020 out of Bama.
- 36:22SPEAKER_00: Um, he was 82nd in first downs per route run, 88th in yards per route run, 90th in separation, 66th in explosive rating last season.
- 36:32SPEAKER_00: And I know I realize that a lot of it had to do with bad QB play, but he's now entering his 27.2 age, and the Browns drafted Denzel Boston, KC Concepcion, while still having Fannon, who was awesome in his rookie season, like this guy is gonna be taking a back seat, he's gonna be more irrelevant than he ever was, and he has been irrelevant for most of his career.
- 37:00SPEAKER_00: And I mean, at the at the end of the day, I just view his dynasty stock tanking to a point where there's nothing you can do with him besides hold and pray because it's at an all-time low.
- 37:12SPEAKER_00: I mean, his best season was in 2024, and it was a wide receiver 15 season.
- 37:19SPEAKER_00: Like, I just don't see any value with him anymore.
- 37:22SPEAKER_00: Obviously, being a former first-round pick, you know, being in your mid-20s, there was certainly some, I guess, optimism that he may turn it around if he got traded to the right environment.
- 37:35SPEAKER_00: But I mean, at this point, the writing's on the wall.
- 37:38SPEAKER_00: They drafted two good wide receivers.
- 37:41SPEAKER_00: I I feel Boston and uh Concepcion are both very solid while still having Fanon.
- 37:46SPEAKER_00: I don't see any opportunity for Jerry Judy to be successful in a dynasty format anymore.
- 37:51SPEAKER_00: And if you have him, honestly, good luck.
- 37:54SPEAKER_00: Like maybe pray that he has a couple monster weeks and then try to trade him.
- 37:58SPEAKER_02: No, wait, Natter, Natter.
- 38:00SPEAKER_02: Can I have a request?
- 38:01SPEAKER_02: Can we need to put a note to the side?
- 38:03SPEAKER_02: If you have a post-it note or something to the side, we need a hallelujah uh drop as well.
- 38:08SPEAKER_02: Because Nikil just said pray twice.
- 38:11SPEAKER_02: Uh, so we need to have uh uh like whenever we pray to something, we need to have a hallelujah.
- 38:17SPEAKER_02: We gotta have that.
- 38:17SPEAKER_02: We we need a soundbite when we got you.
- 38:20SPEAKER_02: Yeah, no.
- 38:21SPEAKER_02: No, no, no.
- 38:21SPEAKER_02: I can't make it, I can't do that the whole time.
- 38:23SPEAKER_02: No, because during the season, we're gonna be saying that a lot.
- 38:27SPEAKER_02: That's what I'm saying.
- 38:28SPEAKER_02: We're gonna oh, you're gonna pray, you're gonna need you're gonna need this for this week or whatever.
- 38:33SPEAKER_00: By the way, the dreads are looking fire today, man.
- 38:37SPEAKER_02: Oh, dude, thank you, man.
- 38:39SPEAKER_02: I I decided to let the hair down a little bit, you know.
- 38:41SPEAKER_02: I was like, man, it's third, it's well, it's about to be Thursday.
- 38:44SPEAKER_02: I'm off on Friday.
- 38:46SPEAKER_02: We got 4th of July.
- 38:47SPEAKER_02: Like, come on, man.
- 38:48SPEAKER_02: Happy 4th of July to everyone, by the way.
- 38:50SPEAKER_02: So, yeah, man.
- 38:51SPEAKER_02: Like, I'm I'm excited, dude.
- 38:53SPEAKER_02: I'm excited for the weekend.
- 38:54SPEAKER_03: There we go.
- 38:55SPEAKER_03: Let's hear your fingerprint.
- 38:56SPEAKER_02: The fantasy football expo is coming up to it soon.
- 38:59SPEAKER_02: But anyway, go ahead.
- 39:01SPEAKER_00: Let's hear about your superstar.
- 39:03SPEAKER_02: My superstar.
- 39:04SPEAKER_02: Oh, Emeka Abuqua.
- 39:07SPEAKER_02: Look, I truly feel like this could be the year for him.
- 39:10SPEAKER_02: That and it's starting right now, guys.
- 39:12SPEAKER_02: Going into year two, he has wide receiver two upside.
- 39:16SPEAKER_02: I think that he could probably finish inside the top seven after the season is over with.
- 39:23SPEAKER_02: And this is why I think it's how I think he could do it.
- 39:25SPEAKER_02: First month of his rookie, look at what he did.
- 39:27SPEAKER_02: He looked like an absolute stud out there.
- 39:30SPEAKER_02: Then he got tired legs, right?
- 39:31SPEAKER_02: And then he hit that rookie wall.
- 39:33SPEAKER_02: Well, what did he go out and do this offseason?
- 39:35SPEAKER_02: He went and started working out.
- 39:37SPEAKER_02: First of all, he rested his legs, so he he he he did that, which he needed to do, so he rested his legs, and then to the point where he started to train, he's he went into different types of workouts that was gonna not only help his strengthen his legs and his muscles, his core muscles, but also help him from not getting fatigued so he can last the whole season.
- 39:57SPEAKER_02: Now, you know that there's no more Mike Evans.
- 40:01SPEAKER_02: Baker Mayfield is looking for some more money, so this is gonna be the year that Baker Mayfield balls out again.
- 40:06SPEAKER_02: I'm all in on Baker Mayfield, I'm all in on Mekka Ibuka as well.
- 40:12SPEAKER_02: I think he's gonna be a stud this year.
- 40:13SPEAKER_02: Now, you got to worry about Chris Godwin, you got to worry about Bucky Irving, Kenneth Gainwell.
- 40:17SPEAKER_02: There are some other miles to feed, but I think when it's all said and done, Baker Mayfield does like to lock in on that primary receiver.
- 40:25SPEAKER_02: And and I did hear, I did hear that they are gonna be utilizing him uh as a primary receiver in the um as a as an ex-receiver.
- 40:34SPEAKER_02: So that's gonna be something that's gonna be good for him, and that's gonna also just leave it, leave space open for K D Otten and for um for uh Chris Godwin as well.
- 40:45SPEAKER_02: So that that's gonna be nice.
- 40:47SPEAKER_02: I think him staying in one spot, not moving him around too much, that's gonna benefit him to the moon.
- 40:55SPEAKER_01: So yeah, what's gonna stop him from not having a mental breakdown?
- 41:00SPEAKER_02: Not mental breakdown, it was not an actual breakdown, like he did last it's the fatigue, and and and look, it happens, I think, to a lot of players, especially their rookie season, they're not used to playing that many games against that type of competition, you know.
- 41:14SPEAKER_02: Of course, the competition gets better as you go, but this is the pros, man.
- 41:18SPEAKER_02: This is a different level, and we saw him come out get like man, when he came out the gates, he came out like a bat out of hell.
- 41:24SPEAKER_02: The dude was like just averaging.
- 41:26SPEAKER_02: I think he averaged close to 20 points in those five games, or not if right at 20 points in those five games.
- 41:32SPEAKER_02: I mean, that's that's elite category.
- 41:36SPEAKER_02: Now, he couldn't sustain it for the whole season, but I think I think if you can get from him, I think if you could get anywhere from 12 to 17 points, 18 points per game, which I think you can get from him, that's what you're looking for.
- 41:48SPEAKER_02: You're looking, you know, you're looking for blow-up games too, which you will get those because he's a wide receiver, a number one wide receiver on a really good offense.
- 41:55SPEAKER_02: But man, if you can get that that that that sweet spot of that wide receiver two love, and he be he can actually be turned into a wide receiver one, man, sky's the limit for him.
- 42:06SPEAKER_01: God, you know, I I really do like him.
- 42:10SPEAKER_01: I think he's good.
- 42:13SPEAKER_01: I'm a little skeptical though.
- 42:14SPEAKER_01: It's like I want to see you do it for a whole year.
- 42:18SPEAKER_01: Now, dynasty-wise, you it's too late for you to grab him.
- 42:21SPEAKER_01: If if you don't have him, good luck.
- 42:22SPEAKER_01: You don't have him.
- 42:23SPEAKER_01: His high, his price is probably more than honestly.
- 42:26SPEAKER_01: His price is not a hot take artist here, but it should be close to Jujamarchase.
- 42:32SPEAKER_01: I think it's higher than Justin Jefferson now.
- 42:35SPEAKER_01: Oh, wait, in Dynasty, Dynasty, Dynasty, yeah.
- 42:38SPEAKER_02: No, no, I'm looking at it right now.
- 42:40SPEAKER_02: He's number 12, so he's he's he's acquire one.
- 42:45SPEAKER_01: Acquire him to acquire like if I if I want to trade Nika for him, I'm probably having to play Justin Jefferson prices, if not more, in order to snag a Buka.
- 42:56SPEAKER_00: If you offer me Justin Jefferson for my Mecha Buka, I would smash accept that.
- 43:05SPEAKER_01: Yeah, you're a Vikings fan.
- 43:07SPEAKER_01: That doesn't count.
- 43:08SPEAKER_00: No, no, listen.
- 43:11SPEAKER_00: I am not biased towards my Vikings.
- 43:14SPEAKER_00: How many times on this show have I talked about how high I am on basically every team the NFC North, like literally besides my team?
- 43:23SPEAKER_00: I'm very I I try to be, but I just think you know, if you're talking about Jefferson specifically, like you know, he's still young enough, he's still in his prime.
- 43:32SPEAKER_00: Like, you know, I think Buka still has a lot to show in regards to getting on that level, but from a dynasty standpoint, like Tip was saying, you know, I mean, sky's the limit for the kid.
- 43:43SPEAKER_00: Uh Mike Evans out of town, you know, there's a lot uh to be excited about there for his upside, and yeah, I'll have to pick.
- 43:52SPEAKER_02: And and look, for what it's worth, he is in dynasty right now.
- 43:57SPEAKER_02: Um, so this is like if you're doing a dynasty.
- 44:00SPEAKER_02: startup he's um 22 which right on the cusp of um you know second round like or excuse me leading into the um the almost the right in the middle of the second third round i i think that if you can if you can partner him up with a a good running back like ashton gentee saquon barkley would be really nice uh well maybe not so much in dynasty but if you could partner him up with one of these other running backs some marion hamptons uh maybe not but um yeah i i think that that i i wouldn't be mad at him being my number one wide receiver i i i would be a little nervous i'm not gonna lie but i think when it's all said and done i i would i i would be satisfied with what he's he he's able to output over the course of a full year year two now give us the sleeper oh and we talked a little bit about uh nico kept saying his name i was like damn he keeps saying his name and he was talking about his teammate jerry judy is denzel boston for me i mean just listen to the reports guys i mean you watch the others rookie camp this kid has a chip on his shoulder uh he he's heard and he's taking it personally because he felt like he should have been a number one pick he wasn't a number one pick he was a number two or second round pick excuse me not number one a first round pick and he's upset and and i just gotta tell you right now it matter this is one of those situations where Denzel Boston is right now number 60 number six zero as far as wide receivers go in dynasty and I had to go back and look at that I was like what that don't make sense and I went back and looked at it again and I'm sorry and and I looked at not overall not for wide receiver for overall he was number six so I was like that's that's that's insane so you're telling me you're gonna have to go with players like um Jacoby Myers Jaden Reed Xavier Worthy like I don't want like no I want Denzel Boston over all those dudes I don't want him I want Denzel Boston I don't want those other dudes don't even talk to those other dudes about me I think Denzel Boston is going to be an absolute superstar I don't see anything less than eight touchdowns from this kid in year one wait wait what yeah he's that's bold I don't think I don't see they might not have eight touchdowns all season I don't see less than eight touchdowns from him in year one he has he's on the Browns I just want you to know this I know who he's on I know what team he's on do you know who's his quarterback well it's gonna be Deshaun Watson but we right now there is a competition I still think so okay I still think all right you know what you know go to your loser and it's funny it's funny Nico talked about him too Jonah Coleman he said I like Jonah Coleman I like Jonah Coleman too Nico I really do I really really like him I just don't like Sean Payton and I'm just gonna continue to say it at the till it till till I'm blue in the face purple in the face whatever you want to call it I I Sean Payton with these running backs while he's been in Denver has been atrocious RJ Harvey gave us a little bit of glimpse of light last year and RJ Harvey's still there then they got they went ahead and they re-signed JK Dobbins like who's gonna trust this i i i i don't know who to trust i don't know what to trust when it comes to sean payton they're not gonna run the ball 40 times a game they might give the ball to rj harvey in the past game that's gonna be nice but i just don't know who to trust in this situation so i think right now jonah coleman is a little bit of a loserslash uh burnt to a chris matter yeah wait what's hold on i want to say something about your two yes really yes because you know because you're so high we talked about we talked no no no no no we both talked or we talked about both of these players back when we were on spaces on twitter and denzel boston i mean he's kind of like your Drake London like get it kind of guy I'm not saying he's Drake London don't put any words in my mouth nader I know you're probably thinking like he ain't Drake London but like he has the ability to like go up and get it like London he's kind of like your highlight real like it you do actually you actually don't like London touchdowns that's that's quite a bold prediction but I love it and Jonah Coleman I just personally liked him coming out of college because he had a lot of receiving upside I was kind of hoping that he would land uh with COVID but they ended up going with price but at the same time it's not like Dobbins is on like a massive contract and I don't necessarily feel that RJ Harvey is the guy that's gonna take Becow type of work.
- 49:12SPEAKER_00: I'm not saying uh Coleman's going to be that guy in the future but in a dynasty I'm more willing to you know take a shot on him put him on the taxi squad and just let him hang out there um you know for a year or two and maybe you know once Dobbins inevitably gets hurt and or is no longer with the Broncos you know maybe he gets a look.
- 49:33SPEAKER_00: But I know how guys I need okay know your thoughts about Sean Peyton so I get it.
- 49:40SPEAKER_02: Yeah you know what I need to clarify something real quick on Denzel Boston so Denzel Boston in the dynasty league is wide receiver 45.
- 49:47SPEAKER_01: I'm gonna tell you a few wide receivers that are being taken before him that I wouldn't want anything uh to do with at this year or beyond Devontae Adams is one of them DK Metcalf is another one uh alec pierce is being drafted above the uh Denzel Boston even his own teammate Casey Concepcion which I get it I mean he is supposed to be that the the number one guy in that offense but from what I've been hearing in camp Denzel Boston has been bawling out and I've seen a few videos the dude just looks like an absolute monster on the field dude like and and and I don't know I always gravitate towards the bigger wide receivers for some reason especially in fantasy I always want to have one of those guys who's like 6'3 6'4 on my team um you know I like to mix it up but always want to have one of those guys on my team many and I think that this kid can really raise some eyebrows in year one all right look so matter uh so you're saying he's basically Drake London like I said yeah I mean I'm not saying I'm not saying he's Drake London I'm sorry it's the same type of player like that's the scene yeah yeah I I agree with that it's not the floor it's not the most likely it's just the type of player jump ball big dude go get it but nadder's got some uh pretty interesting guys here let's talk about those three all righty um you know I'm gonna keep mine short and concise Luther Burden if you do not go and get him now it's too late because his uh draft stock is just gonna elevate to no end at this point he is in this perfect situation that you want your wide receiver in to succeed now Luther Burden has got a gunslinger quarterback check gunslinger offensive coordinator check semi decent offensive line check mediocre run game enough to keep the defense honest but not enough to be the focal point of the team check okay now do you have the ability to get open down the field check at this point what is missing for him to succeed now is just him being on the bears at that point and sometimes it just happens when you're on the bears that you do bears things but right now Luther Verdon is at his lowest value that he will ever be in his fantasy career until he tails off at the end of it.
- 52:07SPEAKER_01: He's is going to be a superstar that we're going to be talking about for years on end always talking about plugging him into the lineups always talking about drafting him in the higher echelon rounds and because of that he is now the superstar that he needs to be addressed as uh I like I like I like the Luther Burton I do and I think a lot I think a couple of months ago a lot of people were the Luther Burton train the hype train it was it was everybody was all aboard and then it kind of died down a little bit so I think you're right this is the time where you can actually probably take a little bit more advantage of it because I think sky's the limit for him yeah and the problem is it's he's still not cheap like I would probably play pay close to a first rounder I probably would pay a dynasty first rounder for Luther Burden I would be okay with that and feel pretty comfortable with that knowing that next year or two years from now it'll be two first rounders if you're gonna trade away from him my sleeper two to out well um some just for the sole reason of somebody's got to do it over there and in Carolina like who else is I mean not Carolina sorry the dolphin they might as well be Carolina like who who else is gonna do I was like bro he with the Panthers yeah I know so someone's got to do it over there at the Dolphins like why not him at this point like he was semi successful in the Rams not fantasy relevant but he was a decent NFL piece he's only 26 years old he still has a a career ahead of him and because he wasn't used that often he doesn't have that wear and tear that you would kind of expect a 26 year old to have he has the ability to beat man coverage he has the NFL experience that nobody else on those wide receivers really have and it's like as a sleeper why not go for him he is a perfect shot in the dark he's a perfect go after and see how it goes because if you have to cut bait on him it's not an expensive cut like you don't lose your year because you have to cut two two at will or keep him off your team there's no reason for you to not take a stab at him because what are you losing but also what do you have to gain this is one of those rare instances in fantasy where your pay your your your your cost is low and your reward is high and there's not too many of those opportunities in dynasty in my personal opinion um any any thoughts before I move on to the loser or I mean the raider I mean that two two at well is like a super deep sleeper like like like a Rip Van Winkle type sleeper but I mean yeah that's cool.
- 54:32SPEAKER_01: That was kind of segment right I mean yeah listen I we know him as a deep threat hibernating ass it's not like it's not like the dolphins you know have that much competition um no he's right he's right a deep take i i can respect it it's a deep take it's a deep sleeper yeah like they're snoozing like yeah coma yeah yeah hibernating was correct like the barren hibernation right now that is that take but i but i like the bold call yes bold i mean it's it's like you know it's like stacking your quarterback with your wide receiver when you can have an inexpensive stack that produces fantasy points that only elevates your team obviously and if it doesn't work out it's easy to move off of anyway now for the loser just garrett wilson i can't stand him and i almost debated making drake lundon the loser but you know what the problem is he still has a lot of value so i can't do that i could only do that if i wanted to be funny or troll but right now garrett wilson to me he's just a loser i mean bad offensive line bad team tough division i mean the dolphins is gonna be the easiest matchup and there's still no slouch of a defense they didn't like really get bad on defense it was just their offense that went disastrous i like like it uh for the price uh that you have to pay to get a Garrett Wilson isn't worth the reward and because of that as Tib disconnects um it makes it so it's not worth it to be able to go after a Garrett Wilson type player to me it's not worth it to keep a Garrett Wilson type player and for that you always have to ask yourself for what and for why and Garrett Wilson always ends up in that category of for why am I keeping him for what is there to gain and like two to Atwell where there's little to lose a lot to gain he is low to gain a lot to lose and because of that I don't see a reason for him to be on your fantasy team yeah it's it's one of those things with Garrett Wilson where you know Gino although there's some level I don't want to say excitement I think it's more optimism is probably the right word here that you know Gino can be serviceable and give Garrett Wilson a safe floor at the end of the day the ceiling is still going to be capped with Garrett Wilson and you know based on what your expectations were for him you know when you drafted him you know four years ago in your dynasty draft or I guess whenever you started it like he hasn't produced any like top 10 type of wide receiver um rankings for the year.
- 57:12SPEAKER_00: So I get it I like it it's not like he's like the biggest loser he's just kind of like he's just the loser vanilla he's meh yeah but but but but but vanilla is gonna get you 1100 yards and you know four to six touchdowns i i'll I that's cool with me like it's the price he paid not getting the value well no i well i think i think i think his price over the last couple of years has gone down and and you've got some new new blood coming in boston we just talked about um you know you got the kid tyson carnel tate you got some new blood coming in are you advocating bourbon uh well i think i think people might forget about garrett wilson a little bit and then and then he plays for the jets you know that's whole situation and i think that you can sneak in and be like oh you'll be in your drafts and be like oh damn he just picked up garrett wilson that happened to me in the scott fit bowl i i picked up garrett wilson and like the so you lost brown as my it was the other thing too brown as i mean that that happens he also signed that four year contract extension through 2031 so you know presumably the jets will not be great they'll have a top pick the 2028 draft class is pretty good uh at least forecasted to be pretty good for quarterbacks but then again you're going through the the motion of a rookie quarterback and it's kind of like now all of a sudden he's 28 27 like obviously he can you know still get traded or something like that but I hear you on that yeah uh it's just like you know you paid a first rounder for him and high in my opinion probably a higher echelon first rounder you haven't gotten close to that value back and if you wanted to get rid of him you probably wouldn't get close to that value back regardless unless somebody really wanted a bite on it but you know what not people don't trade not bragging not bragging I'm not bragging I'm right I'm not here to do that but yeah I don't have to in the scotch in the scott fish bowl I got puka nakua chris olave garrett wilson's my number three wide receiver and I'm loving that because I'm thinking to myself damn if Garrett Wilson can turn into a number two and Chris Olave can be a borderline one uh we already know Puka healthy he you know what he can do like that that man I'm fine with that as your wide receiver three and especially in redraft but remember tip talking dynasty talking dynasty talking dynasty buddy talking I think he still falls a little bit look yeah I just I worry that he he's all of a sudden we blink and he's 27 years old and he's got a rookie or a second year or a second year quarterback that the just draft inevitably when they have a top pick and then all of a sudden it's like what happened to his you know seven year career at that point wait no garrett wilson's 25 correct but i'm saying like after oh you're talking about in a couple of years yeah where's as far as this year goes we're talking dynasty as far as this year goes like I think there is a safe floor with Gino well here let me okay let me throw this at you real quick because right because right now Garrett Wilson in dynasty is 14 he he's ranked number 14 so that's just right outside of number one or wide receiver one territory right so my thing is this maybe next year it drops down a little bit to like the 20s because you got some of these new guys coming up Luther Burden's there Jordan Tyson uh AJ Brown is below him right now AJ Brown can have a good 29 year even though he's 29 um you know you you've got um Brian Thomas Jr.
- 1:00:57SPEAKER_02: He's 23 he can have a good year this year like you've got some of these wide receivers that can kind of pull their weight up and then Garrett Wilson falls down a little bit and I think maybe next year might be the sweet spot year for him.
- 1:01:08SPEAKER_02: So you agree with me that he's a loser I agree I agree I agree that the I don't agree he's a loser no he's a loser because I I still I still think I still think he's gonna have a better year than Devonta Smith.
- 1:01:22SPEAKER_02: Um I definitely not I well I know and we that's what we talked about last week and we're gonna talk we're gonna bring that back because that this or that segments are fun so but but but anyway I I I'm not gonna say he's a loser yet nope basically what Tib did is he called them a loser but with extra steps.
- 1:01:40SPEAKER_00: So we're gonna segue into the final segment and this one we're gonna keep it short and concise before we rock out of the show and of course when we are discussing the differences between dynasty and redraft there are a lot but maybe not as many as you think and the biggest one is going to be the future longevity of the player's talent and skill level allowing him to be successful on a fantasy football team like for example right now Derrick Henry while he is an elite redraft running back dynasty he's gonna produce fantasy points for you of course but you're not building your team around him for the future as uh Jason knows these guys looking good shit thanks buddy it's not me though I'm not I'm not doing the heavy lifting in this one um but that being said you know somebody like him Derrick Henry you can't build your team around him you're looking for him as a putting you over the top piece rather than a foundational piece somebody like you know what Nico said Justin Jefferson he would like him as a foundational piece me I'm going Luther Berthon as a foundational piece so on and so forth as the players we talked about earlier on in the episode now Nico you're gonna start it off first who is a player who has maybe lower or higher ADP average in redraft with a significant difference in dynasty yeah for me it's it's Trevion Henderson I think from a redraft standpoint you know you still have Ramondre Stevenson in the picture but from a dynasty standpoint I mean Ramondre is 28 um years old i we mentioned it earlier 29 or 30 is typically the fall off point uh for most running backs besides the king so I think long story short trevion Henderson can get the keys to the kingdom um if he doesn't take over this year you know in the next year maybe two at most so I think he could be a league winner uh running back for you down the stretch honorable mention I'm gonna just mention Travis Hunter and Rasheed Rice Travis Hunter Dynasty take a shot see what happens Rasheed Rice redraft yes dynasty sell there we go tip give us a player yeah I like I like Jordan Tom uh Tom Tyson excuse me a bright future ahead of him um brighter than we might think man um right now uh the injuries are the thing that are scaring people I get it I understand but he's going into a Keller Moore offense and one thing I will say looking back at some of his college career especially this I'm not a big adot guy I don't I don't really I research it but I don't like to talk too much about it but I will talk about it in this instance because in his three year career I'm not gonna count 2023 because that was a year he got hurt but he averaged his A dot was 13.7 and usually a really good adot is gonna be in the 12s or higher so look out for that he's gonna be a deep threat in this offense and this offense needs a guy like that and Jordan Thomas Jordan Tyson I don't know why I want to call him Thomas but Jordan Tyson he will I he will emerge on this offense uh to be a piece that they need with Tyler Shuck the way he throws the ball the way he can zip the ball I think that this is going to be a very key piece for this team.
- 1:04:51SPEAKER_01: There we go.
- 1:04:52SPEAKER_01: Now me I'm gonna keep it really short and sweet Jacoby Myers in redraft last year he was practically a league winner to finish out the season now you're not building a team around Jacoby Myers.
- 1:05:02SPEAKER_01: So that keep it we'll keep it short keep it concise but other than that hey that's gonna wrap up this episode of course next week we're gonna be talking about our best ball league and of course when we're gonna set the date we're gonna do some more this or that compare the players and their ADPs to decide who you're going to be drafting in that specific spot to make sure you have the most elevated of offenses or I should say fantasy teams but other than that hey make sure to like make sure to hit that comment button and let us know what you think of the show down below.
- 1:05:35SPEAKER_01: But and of course follow the socials at our fantasy football space on Twitter so on and so forth but other than that hey do you guys have a closing statement I got nothing.
