- 0:00Chapter 15 of the book of Isaiah, Before we read this, we
- 0:07definitely need to pray because as I was studying it before this
- 0:12podcast, I came away with a very strong theory that I believe
- 0:20after studying the Bible since 2019.
- 0:24And each time that I get deeper and deeper, I start seeing some
- 0:29similarities, some patterns and things that make me arrive at
- 0:36the theory that I have. So I will share that with you
- 0:40and, and I do encourage you to do your own research on it.
- 0:47Look it up, apply critical thinking skills to it.
- 0:51Don't just accept what other people say, pray about it and
- 0:57and look into it yourself and see what you come up with.
- 1:01So let's start. Dear God, as we read through
- 1:04chapter 15, we definitely need Holy Spirit wisdom as we go into
- 1:12this. Please be with us as we read
- 1:14through this and share your wisdom with us so that our eyes
- 1:19may be opened and that we may come to know the truth.
- 1:23We ask for this in Jesus name, Amen.
- 1:28So this is a prophecy against Moab and Moab is in modern day
- 1:34Jordan. It's very interesting how Moab
- 1:37came to be or the I guess the founder where the name came
- 1:41from. So when Sodom and Gomorrah, if
- 1:45you know the story of Sodom and Gomorrah, that was a city where
- 1:50Abraham's nephew Lot had settled.
- 1:54They were traveling together and then they kind of got too big to
- 2:00continue to travel together and they needed to separate.
- 2:02And so Lot chose some land near this near Sodom and Gomorrah,
- 2:06and then eventually he moved into Sodom and Gomorrah.
- 2:09Well, there were prayers that were going up to God about Sodom
- 2:12and Gomorrah and everything bad that was happening.
- 2:14I guess you know when you say bad against God's commandments.
- 2:19And there was a lot of what was emphasized.
- 2:23It was sexual immorality. And it didn't seem like it was
- 2:28men and women both and that they were, I mean, there was a lot of
- 2:32raping. There was all sorts of stuff
- 2:34happening. And anyway, this is another kind
- 2:43of side note, but Abraham's prayers actually saved Lot's
- 2:47life. So Abraham was praying to God
- 2:50about Lot and that he would spare him and God.
- 2:54It says in Scripture that God remembered Abraham's prayers and
- 2:59he spared Lot. So God sent.
- 3:02I wonder from the description that's written in the Bible, if
- 3:05it was actually Jesus and two angels, it really certainly
- 3:11sounds like it was that. And you can look into that and
- 3:14decide for yourself about that. But first and then first there
- 3:19were three that came, three visitors and they told Abraham
- 3:26and Sarah that they were going to have a child about a year
- 3:29from then. Then next, the only two visitors
- 3:33came and those were the angels. And they were there to help Lot
- 3:37get to safety. Lot and his whole family, but
- 3:41they gave them certain requirements like you can't look
- 3:44back. You just have to go.
- 3:45You have to listen to us and do what we say.
- 3:47And the Lot's daughters were there and they had, I think they
- 3:52were like fiance's or they were engaged to be married or
- 3:55something or they were actually son in I can't remember what
- 4:00they're, they're familiar or what their status was, but they
- 4:06thought he was joking. They thought Lot was joking.
- 4:08They thought this message about, you know, the angels coming to
- 4:11protect them and the city was going to be destroyed.
- 4:13They didn't believe it. They stayed behind.
- 4:16Lot's wife, for whatever reason, looked back, whether that's, you
- 4:21know, symbolic of she was longing for her people or what
- 4:24it was, but she didn't listen to what the Angel said.
- 4:28So the only ones who were who ended up escaping were Lot and
- 4:32his two daughters. And then when his two daughters
- 4:35realized that was it, you know, they didn't have their husbands
- 4:38before because each of them had some mail in their life and they
- 4:44were going to be saved, but they didn't listen.
- 4:48So they weren't saved. And they were destroyed in Sodom
- 4:51and Gomorrah and the destruction of it because of the evil and
- 4:55wicked ways that had come about and been brought to the
- 4:58attention through prayers to God.
- 5:02So anyway, they are removed from Sodom and Gomorrah, saved from
- 5:07Sodom and Gomorrah. And then this is interesting,
- 5:10like at A at a period of time, the daughters decide that they
- 5:14are not their family lines going to end because they don't have
- 5:18anybody. And so then they proceed to get
- 5:22drunk and then have sex with their father and the child, I
- 5:29think it was the oldest daughter, the eldest daughter
- 5:31who had a child first perhaps. And that child's name was Moab.
- 5:37And that's where the Moabites came from.
- 5:40So it was Lot's nephew, his, he and his daughter had Moab now.
- 5:48So then there was these there were these restrictions like how
- 5:51Moab would not be a part of the the community.
- 5:56However, this is really interesting because Ruth in the
- 6:02the book of Ruth is actually a Moabite, but she gave up ways of
- 6:07being a Moabite and decided to follow the God of Israel through
- 6:14Naomi, her mother-in-law after her husband's died.
- 6:18And she is actually, Ruth is actually in the genealogy of
- 6:23Jesus. So it just shows about God's,
- 6:28how God can redeem. Even if you are part of
- 6:32something that wasn't, you know, perfect, which nothing is,
- 6:37there's still the possibility of redemption.
- 6:40It's a matter of choice of the individual.
- 6:42And Ruth chose the true God. She abandoned the God of her
- 6:49people and left to she was redeemed.
- 6:54She was redeemed. So it was her choice and she
- 6:57made that. So that's where the history of
- 7:00Moab is or how it came to be. And now Isaiah the prophet is
- 7:06giving a prophecy against Moab. And so when I started studying
- 7:10this, I found something that was really eye opening today because
- 7:16I never saw this verse before today.
- 7:20So this is what Isaiah says, a prophecy against Moab.
- 7:26Our in Moab is ruined, destroyed in in a night.
- 7:32Kit in Moab is ruined, destroyed in a night.
- 7:37Dibon goes up to its temple, to its high places to weep.
- 7:44Moab wails over Nebo and Mediba. Every head is shaved and every
- 7:50beard cut off. In the streets they wear
- 7:54sackcloth. That's a sign of mourning.
- 7:56On the roofs and in the public squares they all wail prostate
- 8:01with weeping. Heshban and Iliale cry out.
- 8:06Their voices are heard all the way to Jehaz.
- 8:10Therefore the armed men of Moab cry out, and their hearts are
- 8:16faint. My heart cries out over Moab.
- 8:20Her fugitives flee as far as Zoar, as far as Iglath, Shell,
- 8:27Ishiya. They go up the hill to Lubith
- 8:33Loohith weeping as they go on the road to Horanayam, they
- 8:39lament their destruction. The waters of Nimram are dried
- 8:44up and the grass is withered. The vegetation is gone and
- 8:48nothing green is left. So the wealth they have acquired
- 8:52and stored up they carry away over the ravine of the poplars.
- 8:57Their outcry echoes along the border of Moab, their wailing
- 9:01reaches as far as Eglam, their lamentation as far as Beer Elam.
- 9:07The waters of Dimum are full of blood.
- 9:11But I will bring still more upon demon, a lion, upon the
- 9:19fugitives of Moab, and upon those who remain in the land.
- 9:27And that is the end of chapter 15.
- 9:30So it's just saying, you know, there's going to be destruction
- 9:33here. I'm going to read what the study
- 9:35Bible says, and then I'll get to the verses of that I found.
- 9:39So why did God so utterly destroy Moab?
- 9:42In part because of its history of antagonism towards God's
- 9:46chosen people, the Lord commanded Israel not to pass
- 9:50through Moab on their way to the Promised Land.
- 9:52King Balak of Moab, however, hired Balaam to come and curse
- 9:58Israel. You can find that in Numbers
- 10:00chapter 22 through 24. Though that didn't work, Moabite
- 10:07women entered the camp of Israel and seduced the men, resulting
- 10:13in God sending a plague that killed 24,000 Israelites.
- 10:19And you can read about that in Numbers chapter 25.
- 10:23So that's something that I want to just point out right now as
- 10:26we're talking about it. So Moab, the Moabites, they,
- 10:32they were practicing idolatry. They were worshipping another
- 10:37God, which I have a theory that that God is Satan and they were
- 10:44deceived by that, but they were worshipping, let's just say my
- 10:48theory that they were worshipping Satan.
- 10:50And so it's very important that the scripture that I found today
- 10:57and I'll talk about that in a little bit.
- 10:59But God, you know, he always, he didn't want the Israelites to
- 11:04intermingle with foreign women, not anything to do with
- 11:09ethnicity or anything like that. It had to do with their
- 11:12idolatrous practices. They were not worshipping the
- 11:16same God. And that's why God put these
- 11:20barriers, these guardrails on the people of Israel and didn't
- 11:24want them intermingling with any other because he always chose
- 11:29Israel and said that I will be their God.
- 11:32So he never gave up. He had the, you know, Israel was
- 11:35to be the one nation that knows the true God and other nations
- 11:43would come to know the true God through Israel.
- 11:46But Israel wasn't perfect in keeping the covenant with God.
- 11:52So they messed up as well. But God was constantly,
- 11:56continually redeeming them and bringing them back, correcting
- 12:00them, disciplining them, bringing them back.
- 12:03And the purpose of him doing that was so that other nations
- 12:07could come to know him. God wants to be revealed and he
- 12:13he will go through many different ways of making people,
- 12:20not making people. That's not the right word that
- 12:22I'm looking for, letting people open their eyes and see who he
- 12:28is. He will he will send various
- 12:30people to do that to other people.
- 12:33So anyway, the first of all, like this is really important
- 12:39because the Moabite king was concerned about how many
- 12:44Israelites were coming into his territory and that scared him.
- 12:47He didn't want them to overtake his land, so and he he wanted
- 12:53protection from it. So he found this prophet who
- 12:55heard from God. But what he asked the prophet to
- 12:59do was to curse Israel so they couldn't come like to put curses
- 13:05on them. And this prophet was really
- 13:08hearing from God. But the problem was he was doing
- 13:10it for money. He wasn't doing it because of
- 13:13his love of God, but he was hearing from God.
- 13:16And so he told the king of Moab that I can only do what God will
- 13:21tell, tell me to do. I, you know, I will only do
- 13:24that. And so he still expected his pay
- 13:28for that. And so each time the king of
- 13:31Moab took him to all these different places, I don't know
- 13:34if there were maybe 7 different places, a lot of different high
- 13:36places. And they kept thinking, well,
- 13:38maybe this God will, you know, something will respond
- 13:41favorably. But every time the king of Moab
- 13:44asked to curse Israel, then Balaam said all he would do
- 13:51would bless them. And so the king of Moab got
- 13:54really angry with Balaam. And there was like a
- 13:56supernatural intervention that God had too with Balaam.
- 13:59When he was riding his donkey, God made the the donkey actually
- 14:04speak. And so he that's how to get his
- 14:07attention. And the donkey was actually
- 14:09getting scared of an Angel that was standing in his path trying
- 14:13to prevent him from going. But Balaam was going because he
- 14:17wanted to get money. That's what he was doing.
- 14:20And so he had, he had the love of money.
- 14:23So money isn't evil, but it's when you prioritize it and when
- 14:27it becomes something that you love.
- 14:28And that's what he was doing. So that's a little bit more
- 14:33about the Moabites and the king of Moab and then their
- 14:36antagonism with Israel. So going back to what the study
- 14:39Bible says, nearly a century after the conquest of Canaan,
- 14:43Israel became subject to Moab for 18 years.
- 14:47David conquered the Moabites, but they later regained their
- 14:52independence. Moabite Raiders invaded Israel
- 14:55frequently after that. Amos, a contemporary of Isaiah,
- 15:00denounced the Moabites for their many sins.
- 15:05So why did Isaiah mourn Moabite's flight?
- 15:08There are several reasons why Isaiah's heart may have been
- 15:12softened to Moab's pain. Abraham's nephew Lot was Moab's
- 15:16grandfather, so the Israelites and the Moabites shared the same
- 15:21ancestral father, Terra, and Kings David and King David's
- 15:28great grandmother Ruth had come from Moab.
- 15:32Furthermore, unlike Edom, the Bible never mentions Moab
- 15:38rejoicing over Israel's misfortunes.
- 15:43So then it says, what was the ravine of the Poplars?
- 15:46It is generally identified with the Zarid River, Arwadi El
- 15:51Hessa, which flows into the southern end of the Dead Sea and
- 15:55forms the boundary between Edom and Moab.
- 15:58The people of Moab would exit their country here as they fled
- 16:02S because of God's judgement likely brought on them by the
- 16:06Assyrians from the north. So now I think is a good time to
- 16:10talk about what I discovered in Scripture.
- 16:13So as I was searching Moab just to get the full biblical context
- 16:19of Moab, I found a verse that's that I don't recall seeing
- 16:25before or paying attention to, but it's Numbers chapter 24,
- 16:31verse 17. And here's what it says.
- 16:35I I see him, but not now. I behold him, but not near.
- 16:42A star will come out of Jacob, a scepter will rise out of Israel.
- 16:48He will crush the foreheads of Moab, the skulls of all the
- 16:55people of Chef. So this is OK?
- 17:01Remember when we just talked about Balaam?
- 17:05Who was supposed to bring about curses on Israel?
- 17:10So it this is actually Balaam's fourth message.
- 17:15So then he's, so I'll read back a few lines.
- 17:18Then he spoke this his message, the prophecy of Balaam, son of
- 17:22Bior, the prophecy of one whose eyes eye sees clearly, the
- 17:29prophecy of one who hears the words of God, who has knowledge
- 17:34from the Most High, who sees a vision from the Almighty, who
- 17:41falls prostate and whose eyes are opened.
- 17:45So Balaam is actually seeing Jesus Christ the Messiah.
- 17:52Isn't that wild? Back in Numbers 24.
- 17:56So Balaam, he's a prophet, he's seeing from God, but he does
- 17:59this stuff for money and he says, I see him talking about
- 18:03Jesus, but not now. I behold him, but not near.
- 18:08So this is thousands of years before Jesus was born.
- 18:12A star will come out of Jacob. A scepter will rise out of
- 18:19Israel. Remember that Jesus has a
- 18:22scepter. The scepter will never depart
- 18:24from him until him who is to come from the tribe of Judah,
- 18:29and the scepter will rise out of Israel.
- 18:33He will crush the foreheads of Moab, the skulls of all the
- 18:37people of Chef. OK, that is really important.
- 18:41So crush the foreheads of Moab, the skulls of all the people of
- 18:47Chef. Now we go back to Genesis
- 18:50chapter 3. When Adam and Eve were, they
- 18:57rejected God and didn't believe him.
- 19:00And so they did something forbidden and God confronted
- 19:05them and he spoke to the serpent or Satan or the devil, whatever
- 19:11you want to call him. And then he tells, he tells them
- 19:15this, He tells Satan this. I will put enmity between you
- 19:19and the woman and between your offspring and hers.
- 19:25He will crush your head, Jesus, and you will strike His heel.
- 19:32So this is where in Genesis Jesus has talked about and about
- 19:39crushing the head of Satan and says you will strike his heel.
- 19:44And then we see that in Numbers 24 he will crush the foreheads
- 19:50of Moab, the skulls of all the people of Chef and talking about
- 19:54your offspring and her offspring when he was speaking to Satan.
- 19:59So the first time I read that I was like, Satan has offspring.
- 20:03Well, maybe, maybe in a literal sense, I don't know, but
- 20:08definitely in a spiritual sense. So Satan wanted to be worshipped
- 20:14and that's why he could no longer be in the Kingdom of God.
- 20:17It was his pride that got him that he lost everything because
- 20:25of his pride. He wanted to be worshipped.
- 20:27God made him very special, but he wasn't satisfied with that.
- 20:30He wanted more. He wanted to be worshipped and
- 20:33he challenged God and he believed that he was good enough
- 20:39to or wise enough to accomplish what he set out to do.
- 20:45Now he's only set out to destroy human beings because he hates
- 20:51human beings, because human beings will get to inherit, will
- 20:56get the opportunity at least to inherit the Kingdom of God.
- 20:59He won't. So he hates all of us and so he
- 21:05tries to deceive and manipulate people so that they don't make
- 21:12it into God's Kingdom. And he does that the same way
- 21:15he's always done that through desires, especially through lust
- 21:20and through sexual ways. Because the the Bible clearly
- 21:25says that there will be, there's like the sexually immoral will
- 21:31not be in the Kingdom of God. So that's a great way for Satan
- 21:35to get a hold of God's people and deceive them and make them
- 21:42think, oh, this is no big deal because he wants to see them
- 21:46destroyed so he can get into people's thoughts.
- 21:50Evil spiritual entities can influence people's thoughts.
- 21:56I've heard so many people who have come to faith and they've
- 22:01their ministries after they've come to faith, have been very
- 22:05strong ministries. But just before they came to
- 22:08faith, they were about to kill themself.
- 22:12And I believe that's evil influencing their thoughts and
- 22:17trying and, and trying to destroy them before they can do
- 22:21what God has purposed them to do.
- 22:25So if anybody ever has any like suicidal thoughts, that's the
- 22:29enemy, The enemy of God trying to destroy a human life because
- 22:34he ultimately hates the human life.
- 22:36He's jealous of humans and doesn't want humans to inherit
- 22:42the Kingdom of God. And he knows that he's not going
- 22:44to get it, but other people are. So he's just, he's angry and
- 22:49he's coming after people for that.
- 22:53And there's a way around that, that you don't have to succumb
- 22:57to those evil influences. And that's by receiving the Holy
- 23:01Spirit, by recognizing that we are sinners.
- 23:06We have a natural tendency towards sin.
- 23:08We do sinful things. There's a lot of sexual
- 23:10immorality that people do, go to God with it, ask for forgiveness
- 23:15and ask God to to forgive and to send the Holy Spirit so that you
- 23:21can avoid it in the future. So that would be stuff like
- 23:23watching porn. That would be stuff like having
- 23:26sex outside of marriage. Those kinds of things that
- 23:29people today say are no big deal.
- 23:31Well, it's a huge deception that the enemy has planted in the
- 23:34minds of people today, and it's not the truth because the Bible
- 23:38tells us differently. So if you want to forfeit the
- 23:41Kingdom of God, you can keep on going right ahead and do it
- 23:43because God's not going to force you.
- 23:45He's going to allow you to make your choice and let you have
- 23:48what you choose. He probably will put people in
- 23:51your path to warn you because he doesn't want you to be
- 23:56destroyed, but he's not going to force you to make that decision.
- 24:00So that's something that I see many people deceive today and
- 24:06and it's when I discovered these things in the Bible, it really,
- 24:10it really concerned me because I didn't want to give up the
- 24:14Kingdom of God. Now, there's nothing wrong with
- 24:18sex. I'm just going to talk about
- 24:20that part of it. It's inside of a marriage.
- 24:24So it's not saying that you can't, it's just saying that you
- 24:28need to be married. But anything outside of marriage
- 24:31is something that will prevent you from being in God's Kingdom.
- 24:36And don't use, but I'm covered by grace.
- 24:40Grace is actually the power of the Holy Spirit to overcome sin.
- 24:46So if you are obedient to Christ, you remain in Christ.
- 24:52Therefore, you have grace to cover, but not to keep on
- 24:57sinning. There's there's a lot of
- 24:59scripture that tells you that if you keep on sinning, you are not
- 25:02covered by grace. So don't let the enemy distort.
- 25:06Look into the word of God and find it for yourself if you
- 25:09don't believe me, because that is true.
- 25:12And if you look you will find. So anyway, getting back to this,
- 25:19I believe that any religion that worships a God and denies that
- 25:30Jesus is the son of God is actually worshipping Satan.
- 25:34So that's my theory, and it's because of what I saw here.
- 25:39But not only that, there's one more paragraph in the study
- 25:42Bible that talks about these. It talks a lot, a little bit
- 25:47more, and I did a little bit more research on other aspects
- 25:51of it, which I will start reading now.
- 25:52So what do ancient prophecies have to do with us today?
- 25:57Isaiah's prophecies teach several important truths that
- 26:02are still relevant centuries later.
- 26:04First, God's rule over all nations.
- 26:08He is not a local deity or a territorial God.
- 26:13The true God is not He's over everything.
- 26:15Despite appearances at times to the contrary.
- 26:19God is involved with the intricate detail of our lives as
- 26:23well as the broad strokes of human history.
- 26:27His message of hope is for people of all nations and ethnic
- 26:32backgrounds. We see this illustrated in
- 26:35Isaiah's prophecy against Moab. Though Moab was Israel's long
- 26:41standing enemy and faced God's judgement, Isaiah presented the
- 26:46Messiah's future role as extending over Moab in verse 15,
- 26:54verse 5. So he says, let me read that
- 26:59one. Oh, I don't know, OK, it says.
- 27:03My heart cries out over Moab. Her fugitives flee.
- 27:06As far as Zohar, as far as Egleth, I don't know.
- 27:09That to me doesn't sound very salvation related.
- 27:14That's what the study Bible says, though.
- 27:17But but you have to think about Ruth, because Ruth was a
- 27:20Moabite. She turned away from her
- 27:23people's God that they worshipped, and she said she
- 27:26wanted to worship the one true God, Naomi's God, and she
- 27:32changed. And so that just shows that.
- 27:34And she's in the ancestry, the genealogy of Jesus.
- 27:39So that just shows that, you know, God is a Redeemer of all
- 27:43people. Ruth is, you know, she has she
- 27:47Boaz and he's, you know, the symbolic of Jesus and being a
- 27:52Redeemer, like taking her from darkness into light and and you
- 27:57know, she's she was saved. So it is for all people.
- 28:03OK, now going back to the study Bible.
- 28:05Second, God rules by his prophetic word, which is sharp
- 28:10and powerful. Through obedience to God's Word,
- 28:15we can remain in Christ, promote God's will in our lives, and
- 28:20bring love to our neighbors. So this is really important.
- 28:25Through obedience to God's Word, we can remain in Christ.
- 28:31A lot of people I don't think know what remaining in Christ
- 28:35means. And it says through obedience to
- 28:38God's Word we can remain in Christ.
- 28:41So if we are not obedient to God's Word, we are not in
- 28:46Christ, We are not covered by grace.
- 28:51Now there's a difference between messing up and doing something
- 28:56stupid and immediately going to God with it and saying I messed
- 28:59up, I need help. Yes, there's grace for that.
- 29:03But when you knowingly keep on doing something that you know
- 29:08that God says no to, you are not in Christ.
- 29:12You are not covered by grace. And if you die in that moment,
- 29:17then I would really be fearful. I would be fearful that you may
- 29:21not be in the Kingdom of God. So let's see, that's why I say
- 29:27this because I think so many people are deceived because
- 29:30churches are so like lukewarm that they don't speak the truth.
- 29:34They only tell you the good stuff.
- 29:36They don't tell you the things that are important, that can
- 29:40warn you about the future. Because to me, eternity is a
- 29:45little bit more important. I don't care if my feelings get
- 29:48hurt if I have to cry a little bit and struggle with something
- 29:52that is said. If I can have the an inheritance
- 29:56in the Kingdom of God and be considered a child of God, I'd
- 29:59I'll give that up. I'll give up being upset about
- 30:02something, you know, here on earth so that I can have
- 30:06eternity with God. And it just, you know, why not
- 30:09give people the choice? Don't just give them the all the
- 30:12good stuff and none of the truth that's behind it.
- 30:19So we see hints of this in the fact that Isaiah, and perhaps
- 30:23God himself wept over Moab's punishment.
- 30:28Third, God has the last word. Unfortunately, Moab's sufferings
- 30:32would drive the people not to the living God, but to the idol
- 30:37shrines of their false God Kimosh, from whom there could be
- 30:43no help. Likewise, the pretenses and
- 30:46rebellion of modern society will burst like a soap bubble.
- 30:50Those who ignore God's word will be judged at the end of the age
- 30:56and evil, all evil, will have its day in court.
- 31:01Finally, those who have trusted Jesus are not under judgement.
- 31:06If we personally and intimately know God, the one who gives
- 31:11prophetic words and live in His mercy, we can rest securely in
- 31:16His unfailing love. So as I was looking about this
- 31:21Kemus, especially after discovering what is in Numbers
- 31:28and Genesis about crushing the head and that being related to
- 31:31Satan or yeah, connected with Satan.
- 31:35So there are other names I found out.
- 31:36Well, first I found that Kemish there, that other God, there was
- 31:41a lot of child sacrifice that was done to them to worship this
- 31:46other God, which is also like today abortion.
- 31:50But you know, we've kind of modernized things.
- 31:53So now abortion is basically that it's getting rid of a life.
- 31:57That's exactly what Satan wants to do, to destroy a life, not
- 32:01let it come to be because then you know it's you won't, you
- 32:07know, there's one human life that's gone.
- 32:10And that's what he wants to do is he wants to destroy human
- 32:12lives and not give them an opportunity to be in the Kingdom
- 32:17of God. However, in regards to children,
- 32:20I do believe that God is merciful and compassionate and I
- 32:25do believe that the babies that God spares the babies.
- 32:30And that's just what I believe. It's it's not really clear in
- 32:34Scripture, but that's my belief. I have a theory about that.
- 32:37So anyway, there it, this Kemash is also known as Molech, is also
- 32:46known as Baal, is also known as L is also known as Ashtar and is
- 32:53also known as Venus and is also known as a bull.
- 32:59So all these things, all of these things are depictions and
- 33:03descriptions and things that go back to Satan even today.
- 33:08I mean, you see the bull representing Satan being
- 33:12represented with bull, like bull symbol symbolism and things.
- 33:17And it's also called like the abomination of Moab, their God.
- 33:22And it's also also tied with war.
- 33:27So all those things, war and destruction.
- 33:30So again, it just seems to me like my theory that religions
- 33:35that don't believe that Jesus is the son of God are deceived
- 33:39people who are believing in a false God that is actually that
- 33:46Satan is actually behind and and says that Satan can appear as an
- 33:52Angel of light. So it's a very deceptive thing.
- 33:55And so my concern is people who do worship all these other
- 33:59things and do have other religions that don't believe
- 34:02that Jesus is the son of God that I have a I'm concerned
- 34:07about their placement in eternity because I know that God
- 34:12wants them to be his child because he created them and he
- 34:17wants them to be in his Kingdom. But the enemy is preventing them
- 34:24from doing that. So find all you can.
- 34:28If you don't believe in Jesus, as Jesus says, the Son of God,
- 34:31the best thing to do is read the Bible because your eyes will be
- 34:35opened and ask God, the true God for the Holy Spirit to give
- 34:39wisdom. So I will continue on to Chapter
- 34:4217, because it still is about Moab.
- 34:47So Chapter 16, Send lambs as tribute to the ruler of the
- 34:53land, from Selah across the desert to the Mount of daughter
- 34:56Zion. Like fluttering birds pushed
- 34:59from the nest. So are the women of Moab at the
- 35:03Fords of the Arnon. Make up your mind, Moab says.
- 35:06Render a decision. Make your shadow like night at
- 35:09high noon. Hide the fugitives.
- 35:12Do not betray the refugees. Let the Moabite fugitive stay
- 35:16with you. Be the shelter.
- 35:19Be their shelter from the destroyer.
- 35:23Well, I think that could also be Satan or Satan and inspiring
- 35:26other people to come against them.
- 35:29The oppressor will come to an end and destruction will cease.
- 35:33The aggressor will vanish from the land.
- 35:37Now this just pops out of nowhere.
- 35:39So pay attention to this verse 5.
- 35:42In love a throne will be established.
- 35:46In faithfulness, a man will sit on it, one from the House of
- 35:51David, one who in judging seeks justice and speeds the cause of
- 35:57righteousness. So this is Jesus and it starts
- 36:00about in love like this is showing God's love in the middle
- 36:04of all this destruction. Isaiah sees this and speaks this
- 36:08to Moab and talks about Jesus coming and it.
- 36:12You know, he could have even made it better if he would have
- 36:14tied Jesus to to Moab from Ruth, because she was from Moab.
- 36:20Going back to scripture, we have heard of Moab's pride.
- 36:24How great is her arrogance, of her conceit, her pride and her
- 36:29insolence. But her boasts are empty.
- 36:31Empty. Therefore the Moabites wail.
- 36:35They wail together from Moab, lament and grieve for the Raisin
- 36:39cakes of Kerr Hauscheth the fields of Heshbourne wither the
- 36:44vines of Cibna. Also, the rulers of the nations
- 36:47have trampled down the choices vines which once reached Jazer
- 36:52and spread toward the desert. Their shoots spread out and went
- 36:56as far as the sea. So I weep as Jazer weeps for the
- 37:00vines of Sibma, Heshbon and Ilaya.
- 37:04I drench you with tears. The shouts of joy over your
- 37:08ripened fruit and over your harvest have been stilled.
- 37:12Joy and gladness are taken away from the orchards.
- 37:16No one sings or shouts in the vineyards.
- 37:18No one treads out wine at the press, for I have put an end to
- 37:23the shouting. My heart laments for Moab like a
- 37:27harp, my inmost being for Kerharse Hairseth.
- 37:32When Moab appears at her high place, she only wears herself
- 37:36out. When she goes to her shrine to
- 37:40pray, it is to no avail. So it basically saying these
- 37:44this false gods not going to help you.
- 37:47Unfortunately, they were deceived and they're believing
- 37:49in a false God who's not going to help them because that false
- 37:53God wants them destroyed. It's Satan.
- 37:55Satan's behind it. OK, this is the word the Lord
- 37:59has already spoken concerning Moab.
- 38:02But now the Lord says within three years, as a servant bound
- 38:08by contract would count them, Moab's splendor and all her many
- 38:13people will be despised, and her survivors will be very few and
- 38:19feeble. So it's not a pretty picture of
- 38:24this. So the I'll read the questions
- 38:26and answers. Why give aid to the Moabite?
- 38:29Some think that Isaiah was speaking on behalf of the Lord
- 38:32here, advising Judah to provide refuge for the refugees from
- 38:36Moab as they fled from the destroyer, which was probably
- 38:39Assyria. But I think it could also mean
- 38:41something even greater since Jesus was talked about.
- 38:44It's probably whatever human person Satan uses in the future,
- 38:50but it's more likely that the Moabites were speaking, asking
- 38:54Judah for refuge. Why bring up Israel's Messiah?
- 38:58Here, Isaiah took the opportunity to speak about the
- 39:01ultimate trust, not only for the Israelites, but also for the
- 39:05Moabites and the rest of the world.
- 39:07Though the Messiahs appearing would come long after this time
- 39:11when the Moabites were fleeing their enemy, likely the
- 39:14Assyrians. He would bring an end to
- 39:17oppression, destruction, and aggression.
- 39:19Neither the Judeans nor the Moabites would live to see him.
- 39:26Nevertheless, persons in both groups could put their trust in
- 39:29the God who made such a promise on their day.
- 39:33It's really interesting though. Remember that Balaam gave them
- 39:36this prophecy a long time ago about it.
- 39:39The king of Moab, when the Israelites were first coming, he
- 39:42said this was going to happen, that Jesus was going to come.
- 39:44But nobody really understood it. Of course you know, but
- 39:48Scripture interprets Scripture. So why did Moab have to boast?
- 39:55Or what did Moab have to boast about?
- 39:57Not much. The insignificant nation was
- 39:59only a whimper compared to the roaring of other nations such as
- 40:03Assyria. Moab's pride was based not on
- 40:06reality but on its own feelings of importance inflated opinions
- 40:11of oneself, particularly when. Set alongside shriveled
- 40:16resources and abilities, demonstrate how ridiculous human
- 40:21boasting is. How was Moab trampled down?
- 40:25The Assyrian king Sargon the Second put down a rebellion
- 40:30along the western border States and probably squelched Moab in
- 40:35the process. How did Moab wear herself out at
- 40:40her high place? Isaiah was foretelling the
- 40:42efforts of the Moabites to thwart their inevitable
- 40:46judgement to ward of destruction.
- 40:48The Moabites offered frenzied prayers and sacrifices at their
- 40:52high places which a Pagan place of worship to entice their gods
- 40:59to protect them from the enemies.
- 41:01The continued effort was wearing them out, and it wasn't going to
- 41:05happen anyway. So what kind of prophecy is
- 41:08this? The Hebrew word for prophecy
- 41:10here is related to the verb meaning lift up or carry.
- 41:15It is and is possibly to be understood as either the lifting
- 41:19up of 1's voice or carrying a burden.
- 41:23Such a prophecy often brings unwelcomed news or judgement.
- 41:29And that concludes chapters 15 and 16.
- 41:34Do your research. If you aren't a believer in the
- 41:39Son of God, Jesus Christ as your Savior, as the Messiah, then
- 41:45keep seeking God and praying and stay in the Bible every day.
- 41:50If you want to remain in Christ, a great way to do it is to
- 41:54remain in Scripture. Just read it for yourself.
- 41:56And if you want, subscribe to this podcast because I'm trying
- 41:59to do this every day to cover a chapter or two every single day
- 42:03to stay in the Word. It helps keep me accountable as
- 42:06well and hopefully it benefits others.
