Transcript
- 0:00Like in a minute in the morning, big Nutty eight point seven. It
- 0:03is officially October two, you know, So we are in spooky season.
- 0:07It's crazy, isn't it It is? I love it. I love it.
- 0:09So it's time to talk about spooky things. Like the scariest sound to
- 0:13ever exist? Did you know I've never even thought about that. The Aztecs,
- 0:17a man of the ancient Aztecs, created something called the Aztec whistle that
- 0:21produces what people have deemed the most horrifying sound in the world. It emulates
- 0:26the scream of a thousand corpses. Oh come on, that's a lot of
- 0:31corpses. So if you want to hear it, yeah, I don't think
- 0:35I'm trying to even I don't want to spook anybody. It would be just
- 0:39drying trying to drive to work on a Monday. This is the sound of
- 0:42the scream of a thousand corpses. So somebody's just screaming. I'm sorry,
- 0:57not that I'm not paying attention. It's Monday. They asked the Aztecs.
- 1:03If you're not listening to me, we don't have a chance. I mean,
- 1:06I don't know how many people are listening right now, But if you're
- 1:07not even what are we doing? I don't even know if I'm listening.
- 1:14Just I'm going back to the Aztecs. So we're people in pyramids creaming.
- 1:22Why don't why don't get where this noise came from. It's a it's a
- 1:26whistle, so it's a device. So this is how they would getting like
- 1:30honey, like they would be screaming like, you know, like it's time
- 1:34to eat dinner. You know. The exact story has been lost over through
- 1:38time, but ancient scholars believe that it was yes for dinner time, right,
- 1:47I mean, what else would you be screaming for? Not like that?
- 1:49I mean, that's me when my golf ball goes out of bounds.
- 1:57That's me when the eighteen and as I've reached my limit for the day.
- 2:02Oh my god. I just I don't know if I not that I don't
- 2:07believe the story. I just don't believe that this is the sound I got
- 2:12it on the internet. What more do you want? What's the scariest sound
- 2:15you can think of other than this? Honestly, having kids, this is
- 2:21gonna get you, pike ye. No sound then being quiet, silence,
- 2:27scariest thing, Yes, when you have kids, is that because they're probably
- 2:31drawing on the wall or they like poop their pants and it's all over the
- 2:35crab. Who knows what's going on up there? Yeah? Right, this
- 2:38is a man of a jeer. Is nothing minute in the morning, it's
- 2:46time for it? Is it weird? It's a little game where we find
- 2:49out if the things we do in our alone time when nobody just watching,
- 2:54if they're weird, or if everyone else doesn't too. Mine feels a little
- 2:59more bed. But every once in a while I think about my funeral and
- 3:02like what people would be reacting or who would be there, Like what life
- 3:08would be like if I was gone? Wasn't that the worst? And that's
- 3:12what they always say, is that, you know, we should say the
- 3:14things that we say at funeral, you know, while we're still here.
- 3:16Yes, but once she just loved to see everyone's reactions. All right,
- 3:21who's crying, who's joking around in the back, like, oh what are
- 3:23you doing? Get out of here? Yes? Or like who's swooping in
- 3:25on your man? I mean just like all of Yes, that's weird for
- 3:30me taking care of my children. Who's hitting on my husband at the funeral?
- 3:36Who's the person that he's gonna be leaning on to like, oh gosh,
- 3:39she's gone. Oh that's the one that's always the most likely. It's
- 3:44who do you suspect would most likely be doing that. I don't think there's
- 3:46anybody in our life right now that I know of, you know what I
- 3:50mean, it's just so funny to think it's your name. Who do you
- 3:53think, if you had to pick one, would hit on your husband Nick
- 3:57at your funeral? I honestly can't think of anybody right now. All right,
- 4:00Yeah, I would say that's weird, just the length you've taken it.
- 4:03Of course everyone thinks about their funeral. Yeah, would show up,
- 4:06would just kind of be like whatever, Yeah, what depends on you know,
- 4:10like is it a Saturday? You know, because I can't make any
- 4:14promises. I assume I've been long dead time we're burying you. But it's
- 4:18crazy, all right, It's just crazy, it is. What about this
- 4:24one? Is it weird that I take my wedding ring off every night?
- 4:27Because we talked about this a lot. I was just telling you that because
- 4:29I couldn't find it this morning. This is m I m oh my gosh,
- 4:31you're not wearing your ring. No, I'm not because I couldn't find
- 4:34it. And this is what I think, why you take it off?
- 4:36Because Amanda, it feels like I'm in a prison, Okay, And I'm
- 4:41not saying marriage general, I'm saying the ring itself. It's constraining. I
- 4:46might as well be sleeping in a straight jacket. That's what it feels like
- 4:47to me. Especially last night. We have Chinese, well Sunday night tradition,
- 4:50we have Chinese delivered to the place. He felt a little swollen.
- 4:55Oh, absolutely, how's the five gallon pail of terry y hockey chicken?
- 4:59Gross? So yeah, I swell up a little bit because of all the
- 5:01sodium, and it's a little bit uncomfortable. Is it weird that I do
- 5:04that? Because everybody else I talked to every guy and every girl, it's
- 5:08like the ring is a part of their body. Yeah, it never comes
- 5:11off. Don't even realize it's you feel weird without it, right? Well?
- 5:15I feel weird with it on at night. So that what do you
- 5:17think that's weird? Well? I think the weird thing is is you referred
- 5:20to it as like being in prison. Basically, like with it, that's
- 5:24gonna be uh. I love you, I owe my wife's not listening.
- 5:29Yeah, you know, I really I do. Compare a marriage to a
- 5:30prison in the morning, the pag you can't get away from it. Travis
- 5:42Kelsey and Taylor Swift over the weekend, they were spotted a couple of times.
- 5:46So what ended up going down is Saturday afternoon we found out that Blake
- 5:48Lively, Sophie Turner, and Brittany ma Holmes, oh the gang, the
- 5:54girls had a little girl's night out. Well then we don't know when Travis
- 5:57Kelsey ended up going over to Taylor Swift's house. We just saw him even
- 6:00at eleven am yesterday. Really, yes, I'm thinking brunch because you brought
- 6:05up a good point. He's not allowed to stay anywhere. Well, no,
- 6:09the team, the guys on the team have a curfew. They gotta
- 6:12be back to the hotel, so which is funny because he's he's a thirty
- 6:15four year old man or whoever. But still, I mean, maybe they
- 6:18break the rules because it's Taylor Swift. I don't know. I don't know,
- 6:20but if you watch the game last night, it looks like Mahomes and
- 6:24Kelsey were maybe a little distracted, probably because they're girls and Bryan Reynolds,
- 6:29Blake Lively, who else was there? Sophie Turner there, who's one of
- 6:32people, Hugh Jackman all up in the suite watching the game. But the
- 6:38cutest part for me was at one point Taylor looks at Blake Lively at the
- 6:42end of the game and you can hear her saying, you're like reading her
- 6:45lips to go look at him, and then she does like this cute move
- 6:47of like what he was doing. She's just she's in loved, madly in
- 6:51love. It'll be interesting though, because Vikings fans are thinking, is she
- 6:55going to be at us Bank Stadium on Sunday? They put the Vikings next.
- 6:59Yeah, I just see that happening, even if they are hot Navy.
- 7:01Doesn't that feel like a little much Taylor. We'll see, We'll see
- 7:05if she comes down. I mean, she might want to just probably check
- 7:06on the Mall of America if anything, right, I mean, because she
- 7:10was here what in June? Right, So maybe she didn't get to everything
- 7:13that the Minneapolis Saint Hilaria has to offer. And these two they just can't
- 7:18handle it. They want a little loving attention Tom Brady and Kim Kardashi,
- 7:23And I don't know who threw this story out there. They were at the
- 7:25same party over the weekend, jay Z's VIP Blackjack party, you know,
- 7:29the famous one. I didn't get the invite, no jigga, no invite
- 7:32for me, I guess not. And they were privately chatting, laughing.
- 7:36They ended up leaving the same party and going to another one. They were
- 7:40not together. But it's just funny how all the tabloids are trying so hard
- 7:44to like make this circle and make it work. It's like, either way,
- 7:47I don't care. Kim Kardashian is such old news at this point.
- 7:50Now we have Taylor and Travis Kelcey, Like, literally, you could release
- 7:55a full length adult film featuring Kim Kardashian and Tom Brady and I didn't even
- 7:59I wouldn't watch it, man, I'm just so hey. And Pete Davidson
- 8:05crashed into the side of I guess it was a building basically, as he
- 8:09was leaving a venue on Saturday night, so he was doing a stand up
- 8:11comedy show. There was I guess afterwards, some sort of afterparty. He
- 8:16left at ten o'clock. There's a bunch of people in the car. He
- 8:20just sideswipes this entire wall as he's leaving this venue and everybody's like, oh
- 8:24my gosh, that's Pete Davidson. It reminds me of the time that you
- 8:26were leaving an event in our Big ninety point seven van. I recall can
- 8:30you please recall the story for everybody who doesn't know. Well, I just
- 8:33took off out of this remote and I took a cone with me, big
- 8:37orange cone. A man who's obviously on her phone pulling out. No,
- 8:41I wasn't. Oh yeah, you just didn't see the giant cone in the
- 8:43middle of the rest of those vehicles were hard to drive that bigger rigg.
- 8:46I struggled driving, Yeah, that was it. So I took too sharp
- 8:52of a curt turn and I ended up just when her cone underneath the vehicle.
- 8:56Somebody on a video, I wasn't a person driving twenty fifth Street and
- 9:05it's just going good, good look for the station. Big ninety points up
- 9:11basically a billboard driving down the road with a cone under it. It was
- 9:15a real pr disaster for the station. Like in a minute in the morning
- 9:22on Big Nutty eight point seven, you might be thinking he seems a little
- 9:24off today, and you wouldn't be wrong, and I need to just sort
- 9:28of apologize to you and everybody listening, Amanda, because I'm not okay.
- 9:33It's something I happened over the weekend that I've carried over into my work and
- 9:35I hate to do that. But we're here for you. When somebody says
- 9:39something to you and it hurts your feelings, sometimes it just sticks with you.
- 9:41And you know what I'm saying, the tough Yeah, when it's your
- 9:48five year old nephew. Times, that sting is worse because well, no
- 9:54filter and they would not be wrong. They're not lying, it's the truth
- 9:58whatever they say. And so you kids can't hurt feelings. And if you
- 10:01have a story of a kid saying something to you that stung a little seven
- 10:03two eight ninety eight seven babysitting last night, my two little nephews, cutest
- 10:09kids in the world. Five year old Liam, two year old Theo.
- 10:11Love him. But Leah, I'm the five year old. You know.
- 10:13Now, he's at that age five where you can really like have a conversation.
- 10:16It's not just kids shattering yea. You know. So he was telling
- 10:20me that before they had come over because it was their parents anniversaries and they
- 10:22went out to dinner, so we agreed to watch the kiddos. Had a
- 10:24great time until he looked at me and told me that my head stunk.
- 10:31Your head stinks. We mean my head st you know, listen, he's
- 10:35called me poopy, had plenty of times. I know that's not true,
- 10:37so I can brush it off, right, that's funny, But stinky head.
- 10:39I'm like, well, what does he mean? And so he said,
- 10:41when they were at Shields, before they'd come over, they smell a
- 10:45hat, and he said it smelled like me, smelled like uncle t T.
- 10:48But we had lived with him for a moment in time, and I
- 10:50wear a hat a lot in the summer, golf obviously, And I'm like,
- 10:52which is my hat stink and sweaty head? And turned does my head
- 10:56smell? And maybe it does, because you know that smell like a sweaty
- 11:00hat and a sweaty rose. So has your wife ever said anything? Never
- 11:05a thing? So when this happened, did she look at you and go
- 11:07She didn't say a thing, A man, She just looked in because she
- 11:11didn't go, oh tt, you don't have a smelly head, not reassuring
- 11:15whatsoever. So I'm just sitting here thinking today, I'm like, have I
- 11:16had a smelly head this whole time? For thirty three years? Have people
- 11:20I'm going around behind my back talking about how smelly my head is. I'm
- 11:22not saying to dismiss this, because people have done way worse. These little
- 11:26kids are getting after people. Seven to one two one ninety seven. We
- 11:30tossed it up on Facebook. Mary says, well, my daughter came into
- 11:35the bathroom once and I was getting ready for the day. She took one
- 11:37look at me and said, you look like a monster without makeup on Oh
- 11:43Mary, Yeah, I mean listen, I remember being young and like seeing
- 11:48like I remember when kids started to wear makeup to school, you know,
- 11:52and then one day one of them would not wear makeup, not do that?
- 11:54Yes, then you start realizing who is that person? What's going on
- 11:58here? We have Diane and she said, I was arriving at my granddaughter
- 12:01sels some Thanksgiving. Did yeah, right, ready to get into that turkey?
- 12:07Yea? Her granddaughter patted on the belly and said, have you already
- 12:11eaten? Oh? No, Oh that's tough. Kim says. My son
- 12:18calls me Karen when he's mad, and they'll just look at me and go
- 12:22you're such a Karen that I mean, yeah, I feel like you can
- 12:26probably get over that one. That one you could kind of get go off.
- 12:28I remember when Sydney said I hate you. You're not even my mom.
- 12:33I was like, oh, honey, okay, first of all,
- 12:35I am your mom, but I hate what do you know that's got a
- 12:39sting? I saw somebody coming on her post that, you know, the
- 12:41first time you're firstborn says I hate you. That stinks, like that's tough.
- 12:46But then the next four thousand times they tell you it doesn't feel as
- 12:48vacuous. Now here's what you need. So now, well, it's still
- 12:54gonna alarm you on Wednesday, whether you know it's coming or not. Every
- 12:58TV, radio and self in the US at one twenty pm is going to
- 13:03be doing an emergency alert system test, so no action is going to be
- 13:07needed. But if you're in like a big place, have you ever done
- 13:09that when an amble alert goes off and everybody's like, wow, like,
- 13:11what happened? What time? What time? One twenty I wish it was
- 13:16during our show? Could use a break? Do you want an email him?
- 13:20Hey we move that? Can you move that? Thirty? Oh my
- 13:24gosh. Well, it was a couple of months ago. We were going,
- 13:26I'm sorry, what are we talking about Tupac again? There was a
- 13:31warrant and the police in Vegas ended up rating this house to get information,
- 13:35and then over the weekend we found out this. For twenty seven years,
- 13:39the family has been waiting for justice. We are here today to announced the
- 13:43arrest of sixty year old Dwayne Keith Davis aka kep D, for the murder
- 13:52of Tupac. He feed D. He feed D. Now, he was
- 13:56one of the four guys in a guy forget which gang but gangsters that gun
- 14:00to a fight with Tupac at a casino the night he was murdered shortly before.
- 14:03So obviously they've been, you know, some of the main suspects,
- 14:05But then there was a whole like was it Shug Night behind it? Who
- 14:09was in the car? A lot of speculation. This seemed to be the
- 14:11most likely though well, he also admitted to it. So he's being known
- 14:15as the shots color and he sat down for a couple of interviews. In
- 14:20twenty nineteen, he wrote a tell all book called Compton Street Legend and said
- 14:24that he provided the gun. Yeah, he said he was in the front
- 14:26seat handed it back to his nephew, Anthony Anderson. Forgive his name,
- 14:31but anyway, he's the one I ended up shooting him. The four years
- 14:33ago, he wrote a book that this happened, and they just arrested him.
- 14:37As anybody else a little concerned. Well, they just have to have
- 14:39evidence, you know. I feel like admitting it as sort of you know,
- 14:43what do they call that plausible? Cause? What am I looking for?
- 14:46I don't know. I'm not an attorney. Now, it's like a
- 14:48common phrase. It's a common thing. Everybody listening is like, this guy's
- 14:52an idiot, defamation of characters. I'll think of it. But for the
- 14:56family, like the officer said, I'm just glads, there's gonna be closed
- 14:58innocent until prove even guilty, reasonable cause, reasonable doubt. Nah, the
- 15:03opposite. Heck, I don't know. We sound like we know what's going
- 15:07on. So that's good. It's they would be grounds for them to arrest
- 15:11you if they had reasonable cause. I feel like it's clow, it's out
- 15:18down, it's close. We're just not on seven. Would love to know
- 15:24this phrase. I'm sure that law offices around the FM area are just cranking
- 15:28up this program. Absolutely. Let us know boys, girls, Meanwhile,
- 15:33we do have a third story. Maybe you're headed in the court right now,
- 15:37and you're like, you know what, I gotta call these ding dollars
- 15:39provide reasonable costs. Likely they probably did. It is sort of what it
- 15:46suggests. Don't think kids, it's a little sus little suspicious. Big ninety
- 15:50point seven, good morning, Good morning. You're looking for probable cause.
- 15:56Oh, most of the letters were there and even oh wow, thank you
- 16:00so much. What it was real class, but it was really bad,
- 16:02just to struggling, and I was yelling at gosh, figure, I mean,
- 16:06I gotta ask, are you an attorney at law? Just an educated
- 16:10person? Probably? Yeah, yeah, I just watch a lot of law
- 16:12shows. There we go, got it. Well, thank you, ma'am
- 16:15so much. Appreciate you. You're welcome that. Guys, all right,
- 16:18we got another. Good morning, Big ninety at point seven. H of
- 16:22course it is Are you an attorney? I am not? Oh, got
- 16:26it. Got probably just went to school and used to have a high school
- 16:30level education. Got oh, gosh, all right, thank you man.
- 16:33I appreciate you. Weatherwise, today it is gonna be a hot high of
- 16:37ninety one. Enjoy it. Looking at it. Your forecast it suppos be
- 16:38fifty this weekend. Yeah, you want to get outside. You certainly got
- 16:41yourself some probable gods to get out there in a minute in the morning,
- 16:45Big ninety eight point seven seal. Maybe you shouldn't play this. I guess
- 16:51what is this? R Kelly's I'm a flirt? Oh got it? Horrible
- 16:55man, good tune. So you know when you're flirting with somebody, when
- 16:59your first your relationship, you all remember the time. If you're with somebody
- 17:02now, you think back to when you first started. I remember playing the
- 17:04game. When Lauren and I were first hanging out, I would text her
- 17:07and then the next day I would text her to start the conversation. But
- 17:10then I could be like, all right, no, too much. I
- 17:11gotta I gotta pull back here. It looks like I'm the only one in
- 17:14this thing. Oh gosh, I was just a smitten kitten. I can
- 17:17imagine you were just good morning text, good night text. No. I
- 17:22was like trying to play hard to get but he was. I was just
- 17:26finally, I mean after a week, and it was like great, which
- 17:30I just remember being so beyond getty. I remember that time. It was
- 17:34not very annoying. I know. For the first of the world I'm teasing.
- 17:37But now there are rules though, when you're flirting with somebody via text
- 17:41message, especially now in this day and age. I feel like people that's
- 17:42like the only way they're communicating, especially younger people, you know what I
- 17:45mean. So there are rules when flirting. Okay, so heed my warrant.
- 17:49Yeah, like, for example, the tag you're it what we were
- 17:52just describing, the thrill of pursuit. You know, you gotta play the
- 17:56game. Don't be texting every day because that's like big off right. I
- 18:00feel like you can feel a vibe if somebody is wanting to message you every
- 18:04day. I think it's great, Like, hey, good morning and a
- 18:07good night. You should for sure have that. If there is something going
- 18:11well, you should have a morning and afternoon, like at least a three
- 18:14times a day kind of combo. Yeah, but initially I'm talking like right
- 18:17away, I'll never forget when I did. Like when it's simmer for a
- 18:19day or two, two days go by and you're already like I'm moving on
- 18:22all right, ain't it? And then you get that you get the dang
- 18:25in your phone and you're like, oh, you kind of peek at it
- 18:27and it's that all right, Yeah, we're on go away. Also be
- 18:33mysterious. You know, if you tell everything right away, what's left to
- 18:37say? So you got to kind of leave a little to the imagination.
- 18:38Okay, Rules for flirting via texts Also flattery gets you everywhere. I mean,
- 18:44who doesn't like compliments? Right? Just don't overdo it. They say
- 18:47the rule is one is about right, two is the limit? Did you
- 18:51ever? So you know how in Google Memories or whatever your eye cloud?
- 18:55Do you get memories every single day? Not from Google? So I do
- 19:00because I have an Android, but so it'll show up that's fine, like
- 19:03six or seven years ago, and if I had taken a screenshot of something,
- 19:07And every once in a while they'll pop up, of like messages when
- 19:08Nick and I started dating, because of course I was sucking them with my
- 19:11girlfriends, Like how sweet your phone reminds you of like photos you've taken Oh
- 19:15gosh, yeah, not even posted, I'm saying, just taking. Dear
- 19:19god, we're going back that far? Oh yeah, like nine years yeah,
- 19:26somemm, it's yeah, that's the last. And these memories from my
- 19:29eye cloud sometimes give you some feels that you don't necessarily like Pike. Yeah,
- 19:37okay, I'll go back and read those. I'm like, oh my
- 19:40gosh, we were adorable. And now just the thought because now our texts
- 19:44are good morning rints and repeat absolutely I know literally, you might as well
- 19:52copy and paste like our conversation that we'll have every morning. You know,
- 19:56no, gosh, we're going to spice it up. Absolutely well, you
- 19:57can do this. You could say their name. That's a big thing when
- 20:00it comes to floorting over texts. The rule is to say their name.
- 20:03Say it often because they say hearing your name from somebody else is flattering.
- 20:07Oh, say it a lot. See whenever Nick says Amanda, it gives
- 20:11me the heaves a little like, oh, isn't weird? It's super weird
- 20:14because they'll call me babe or honey, which great. But when he says
- 20:18Amanda, I feel like I'm in trouble. What did I do? He
- 20:22probably got a hold of your Google memories, like in Amanda in the morning
- 20:29on Big Nutty eight point seven, it's the number you're supposed to call if
- 20:33you want to win nickelback tickets. Thursday night, they're gonna be at the
- 20:36dome and we got a caller nine on the phone. Now, good morning.
- 20:38Who's this? Good morning? And Tammy? What's up? Tammy?
- 20:41Hi? Hi, you're just like ready to go, Tammy, what are
- 20:45you doing this morning? Just alright, alright, sorry, Tennant two.
- 20:48We're gonna play a little game though, your chance to win nickel back tickets.
- 20:52Tammy with sixty second show down. Have you heard the game before?
- 20:56I have? Okay, and you don't sound confident. I'm not very good
- 21:00at it. No, Oh what do you play along in your car?
- 21:03Yep? Use all the time. Well, you're probably listening to the days
- 21:07when a man it gives the clues. Oh yeah, that's probably. Don't
- 21:10worry because today with our intern off, what is she's sick or gone or
- 21:14something. She she had that wedding celebration, so she had a two day
- 21:18hangover. So long story short, Amanda has volunteered to write the clues.
- 21:22We're gonna have to get five of them in sixty seconds. I'll be giving
- 21:25you the hints to describe these clues. Okay, and he's a self proclaimed
- 21:29winner at this game. It's not self reclaimed, it's just fact. So
- 21:33Tammy, here we go without further ado sixty seconds on the clock. A
- 21:36man to give me the things. There you go, all right, I
- 21:37see the first one person place or things. They're all very random. Just
- 21:41grab that, all right, let's go Tammy in three two one. All
- 21:45right. This is a movie Adam Sandlers start in late nineties. Not small
- 21:49Mama, but big Mama. Nope, not mama, the male version.
- 21:55Oh big daddy, Yes, good job. This is the NSU football team.
- 21:59The mask is the one. You got it. This is the nickname
- 22:07for the new hot couple Swift and Kelsey. Oh. It's also like something
- 22:11you'd pull something on. You'd haul a like an enclosed you haul rents these.
- 22:19Yeah, it's like the tailor. Oh my god, you'd have to
- 22:22hitch it to your truck. You're gonna pull a you pull the boat on
- 22:26a trailer. There we go. This is a actress who played Dawson's Creek.
- 22:33She married Tom Cruise. Ohano and uh, this this is what you
- 22:40get when you go to prison. They take your picture. It's called your
- 22:48Did you give a little extra sign for yourself? On there? No,
- 22:51that was a sixty second clock. Why did it feel longer? You know?
- 22:52It was gone? We were right up against it though, Tammy,
- 22:55Oh my god, how you feel? You just want nickelback tickets? Great
- 23:02show that is going to be on Thursday. Tickets are still available, get
- 23:06in on it. I'm so excited. And listen. Now, you can't
- 23:07say you're bad at sixty second show down because I was super impressive. Solid.
- 23:11I know it's pretty easy one though, I appreciate it. Listen,
- 23:15Katie Holmes, that was not a gimming trailer. I mean we took a
- 23:18minute, but we got there in the morning. Seven. It is October,
- 23:25which is a very exciting time for us here. I'm Big ninety eight
- 23:26point seven because it is back. Bras on Big ninety eight point seven.
- 23:30It is back, and it is bigger than ever. And we've got brandt
- 23:33here from Corwin Automotive. Thank you so much for popping in today. Yeah,
- 23:36absolutely, thank you for having me. Well, you already got people
- 23:37lined up over the weekend dropping off their Brazit corwind locations and Pike. You're
- 23:41probably thinking, wait, we're dropping Brazit corwind locations. What's going on?
- 23:45For every broth that has delivered You guys are giving back to our friends over
- 23:48at Essential Health Foundation. And I was kind of doing a little bit of
- 23:52the math this morning, so I might be a little off, but I
- 23:53think it's just about three hundred thousand dollars that we have been able to give
- 23:57to these women right here in the from area who are fighting in the fight.
- 24:00And these are all those necessity items from whigs to gas cards, all
- 24:04of it. We're gonna talk to Sue here in a little bit to talk
- 24:07about the funding. But you guys are giving how much for every bra?
- 24:11Yeah, we're gonna give ten dollars for every bra. I'm matching up to
- 24:14twenty thousand dollars. Wow, And uh, you know, I just it
- 24:17comes from the whole Corn organization. We could not be more thrilled to be
- 24:21a part of this awesome, awesome opportunity, you know, giving back all
- 24:25of these opportunities for these people that are really struggling, and it stays in
- 24:27the local community, which I think is huge for us too. I think
- 24:30that's great. You know, you guys obviously have made a name for yourselves
- 24:33over you know, decades as the car guys here in Fargo, But why
- 24:36do you feel like it's so important for you guys as a big part of
- 24:37this community. You know, in the business community and just community as a
- 24:41whole. Why is it important for you guys to get involved with stuff like
- 24:42this, Well, I think it kind of goes along with our our whole
- 24:45organization culture. You know, we're family driven. For over a hundred years,
- 24:48we've been owned by the same family company you know, really invest in
- 24:52its people and invest in its community. So you know when we look at
- 24:53the community and here in Fargo, this is where you know, Cortwin really
- 24:56started, really got its roots really right here in Fargo. And uh,
- 25:00you know, giving back to the local family that kind of got us our
- 25:03start is is huge for us. We love these opportunities and especially to partner
- 25:07up with this, uh you know, the organization doing with you guys at
- 25:10the radio station here and really kind of keeping this keeping this thing going as
- 25:12huge for us. Well, we couldn't do it without you. And I
- 25:15mean, I gotta tell you we've never been let down. People are always
- 25:18bringing their braws over to Corwin for the entire month of October. You can
- 25:22pop on over there, and you guys have been able to write that check
- 25:26every year for up to twenty thousand dollars, which is so great. Yeah,
- 25:29every year there's a huge showing. We always get a ton of opportunity,
- 25:33a ton of people walking through the door dropping these things off, and
- 25:36we're always really excited when we hit that number and we're able to stroke that
- 25:38check for twenty grand and you know, give it back to an awesome cause,
- 25:41couldn't do without you. Like Amanda said, Brand, thank you so
- 25:44much for coming into that. Yeah, thank you guys, and thank everybody
- 25:45that's that's prepared to help us donate and hit this goal. So we just
- 25:48talked to Brand from Corowen and now look at this. We have our friends
- 25:52from Ascentia in the house. Good morning, Yes, thank you so much
- 25:56for coming and we really appreciate it. Now we've been talking about how people
- 25:59can go to a court when automotive location to drop off their bras. Now
- 26:02let's talk about the money that we have raised over these years and where exactly
- 26:06it's going. You know, it is amazing every dollar that we raise gets
- 26:10used for patients, and I get it's so remarkable and warms my heart when
- 26:14we are doing this kind of work. We have done a lot of wigs
- 26:17this year. Over ten thousand dollars has gone towards wigs and for people who
- 26:21aren't familiar or don't know anybody who has gone through the process or gone through
- 26:25chemo treatments and all of that. That is one of those moments that it's
- 26:27really humbling when you're able to offer that because the expense of a really good
- 26:30wig. Some people, yes, really don't want people to know what they're
- 26:34going through, and that's kind of there, I hate to say, disguise,
- 26:37but it's just nice to be able to offer that and give them a
- 26:41little bit of comfort. It makes a huge difference in their outlook and the
- 26:45way they feel. And so we are so happy we've been able to provide
- 26:48that for patients and that's so important. You know, people don't realize it.
- 26:52Well, insurance does cover a lot of the health really to cost things
- 26:55like travel. People aren't all in the Fargo metro, you know. So
- 26:57that's just so nice for you guys to be able to help with that.
- 27:00It's so helpful. And you know when you think about you're missing work and
- 27:03you have you know, you have lack take extra time off and all that
- 27:07kind of stuff, and just being able to give a little extra support is
- 27:11really wonderful. Right, So when you're giving back through Brasin Big ninety eight
- 27:14point seven. I think the one word that always comes to mind for me
- 27:17when we're talking about those donations is the comfort care. You're offering comfort to
- 27:21somebody who is going through this, and it is staying locally one hundred percent
- 27:23of the proceeds, and again this is Essential Health Foundation. You guys doing
- 27:27a fantastic job. But there's also another way to give back. So if
- 27:32you're out and about Pike, you were out at the bars over the weekend,
- 27:33and I know you already saw the pink taps for our friends over at
- 27:37Mick Ultra. They're going to be giving back a dollar for every case there
- 27:41and ten cents for every draft beer. But they added for us ladies who
- 27:45are loving the Seltzer's Neutral cranberries this year. Nice now, so you can
- 27:48just drink. You just simply go to the bar. You want the pink
- 27:52draft, right, that's going to be a great thing. But the Neutral's
- 27:55une it sounds pretty easy to give right back to a great cos Amanda exactly.
- 27:57So you can get all these el at Big ninety eight seven dot com.
- 28:00But our goal this year is to beat that forty thousand dollars we were
- 28:04able to give you guys last year it which is so amazing, just amazing.
- 28:07So thank you for letting us know where these real dollars are going to
- 28:11help the real people who are fighting the fight. Thank you so much for
- 28:14all you guys to do. Really appreciate it. We can do it without
- 28:17you, Sue. Thank you guys so much.
