- 1:00Speaker 1: happy to be here. Of course, first of all, congrats,
- 1:03Speaker 1: you've been in the game for so long, and now
- 1:07Speaker 1: this TV show is like just turned into a phenomenon.
- 1:12Speaker 1: And now now you're like, you know, you've been doing
- 1:15Speaker 1: the music thing forever, but now it's like how people record.
- 1:18Speaker 1: You're very recognizable dude these days with this TV show
- 1:21Speaker 1: man shout out to Dave wow Man. Yeah, Dave brand
- 1:24Speaker 1: new season two. Every day I'll be thinking about it, like, man,
- 1:29Speaker 1: I'm really on TV and the show with my boy olod, Like,
- 1:31Speaker 1: it's crazy, man, I never thought about being an actor.
- 1:35Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying now, I got to hold
- 1:36Speaker 1: this title over my head because my whole dream and
- 1:38Speaker 1: passion was to be a rapper. Of course what you
- 1:41Speaker 1: still are, obviously, but you know it's crazy because little
- 1:45Speaker 1: Dickie he wanted to use rapping music so he could
- 1:47Speaker 1: be a comedian TV star. You know what I'm saying,
- 1:49Speaker 1: creative You know, yeah, now I'm in this position and
- 1:52Speaker 1: now you're using the TV shit to help feel the
- 1:55Speaker 1: rap shit a few of my dreams, you know what
- 1:56Speaker 1: I'm saying, Never give up, baby, Yeah. For people who
- 2:00Speaker 1: don't know, like like where are you from? Oh me,
- 2:02Speaker 1: I'm from LA. I'm central West Coast. So like you
- 2:05Speaker 1: would the whole because somebody told me that you were
- 2:11Speaker 1: like around like Tiger like early. Oh yeah, yeah, like
- 2:14Speaker 1: two thousand and six. Ged it's still GED still yeah.
- 2:16Speaker 1: I see you got the I got see you got
- 2:18Speaker 1: the GED chain. Oh yeah, I just brought it to life.
- 2:20Speaker 1: I'm still pushing it. Man. You know, it's my brain
- 2:22Speaker 1: getting every dollar, grind every day, getting educated daily, you
- 2:25Speaker 1: know what I'm saying. So kind of give us like
- 2:26Speaker 1: some of the roots of like your like hip hop
- 2:29Speaker 1: roots like out here in LA because I do remember.
- 2:31Speaker 1: I remember the g D ship was also school with
- 2:33Speaker 1: Q was around and school boy Q. You know what
- 2:35Speaker 1: I mean. DJSB we've been rocking since two thousand and six,
- 2:40Speaker 1: but basically, you know, I linked up with them probably
- 2:42Speaker 1: like two thousand and six, two thousand and seven. You know,
- 2:45Speaker 1: we all believed in Tiger was pushing him because you know,
- 2:47Speaker 1: it was undeniable talent. You know. So that was like
- 2:50Speaker 1: when like Traviy McCoy was around his school. Wasn't like
- 2:52Speaker 1: Travy McCoy related to Tiger or something? Oh yeah, but
- 2:55Speaker 1: to keep it a buck though that was just a
- 2:57Speaker 1: marketing plot. They're not even really related. Okay, okay, okay,
- 3:00Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying. But because at the time
- 3:02Speaker 1: Travy was scorching. But it is what it is though,
- 3:05Speaker 1: Like that was just the first half of our lives.
- 3:07Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying, all of us. You know
- 3:09Speaker 1: that that gave us a jump start. And I missed
- 3:11Speaker 1: those times and I think about those times and how
- 3:12Speaker 1: they groomed me for the position that I'm in now.
- 3:15Speaker 1: Like just to be on tour with Gym Class heroes,
- 3:17Speaker 1: fall Out Boy, Lil Wayne, and to be with my
- 3:19Speaker 1: homies from the block and stuff like that. It was
- 3:21Speaker 1: just like it was a great feeling. But I learned
- 3:23Speaker 1: a lot since then, so that was a blessing. Yeah.
- 3:25Speaker 1: I mean, if you think about like Tiger Q, yourself,
- 3:29Speaker 1: I mean to look back on, like how special of
- 3:31Speaker 1: an assortment of people, just like the fact that we
- 3:35Speaker 1: all on Yo, That's what I'm saying. It's just everybody's all.
- 3:39Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying, Even if we're not together,
- 3:40Speaker 1: I could just stand over here and just feel good, like, yeah,
- 3:43Speaker 1: Q doing this thing. You know what I'm saying, t
- 3:44Speaker 1: doing this thing. You know what I'm saying, It's just
- 3:46Speaker 1: just a great feeling to know that we blossom into
- 3:48Speaker 1: the man and the artists that we are. You know,
- 3:50Speaker 1: it's just cool. And GD was your thing. It's all
- 3:53Speaker 1: of our things. But I'm the one that started it.
- 3:55Speaker 1: I ain't gonna lie. Look, I'm still pushing it right, right, right, right,
- 3:58Speaker 1: But look, you know what I'm saying. It's fifteen years later. Yeah,
- 4:01Speaker 1: fifteen years later, I'm still holding it down. I still
- 4:03Speaker 1: got the ged merge, still pushing it every day because
- 4:07Speaker 1: this is forever to me, like when I started this, forever.
- 4:09Speaker 1: I can't run from the tattoo on my face, you
- 4:10Speaker 1: know what I'm saying. I can't never acknowledge, not acknowledged
- 4:13Speaker 1: with something that I believe in, you know, right. And
- 4:15Speaker 1: I'm pushing it every day because it's just a good mindset,
- 4:17Speaker 1: like getting educated daily, grind every day, getting every dollar.
- 4:20Speaker 1: It's just a it's a great ideas that you need.
- 4:22Speaker 1: And I'm saying to make it so you Originally, like
- 4:25Speaker 1: everybody was like, okay, Tigers, Tiger's kind of our way
- 4:28Speaker 1: in the game. Yeah, for sure. It was like Nelly
- 4:30Speaker 1: in the same lunatics. Bro. It was like he was
- 4:31Speaker 1: the Nelly. We was the same lunatics. Let's go. You
- 4:34Speaker 1: feel me like kick the dooring for us. That's what
- 4:36Speaker 1: he did. And he kicked the door. And that's how
- 4:38Speaker 1: I was able to get the Lil Wayne songs. I
- 4:39Speaker 1: was being able to travel the world, go to Japan,
- 4:41Speaker 1: you know, learn about the whole music industry. When he
- 4:44Speaker 1: signed his first record deal, I was at the table
- 4:45Speaker 1: right there with the lawyers sitting there, so I was
- 4:47Speaker 1: soaking up games. This is the coconut. Yeah yeah, yeah,
- 4:51Speaker 1: And all of that was just growth and learning. You
- 4:53Speaker 1: know what I'm saying. Because none of those things that
- 4:55Speaker 1: we did, I don't regret none of it, you know
- 4:57Speaker 1: what I'm saying. It panned out beautiful for all of us,
- 4:59Speaker 1: for sure, for sure, No, one hundred percent. Yeah No,
- 5:03Speaker 1: I mean I think you know, because I remember back
- 5:05Speaker 1: then when Tiger first came out, everybody was kind of
- 5:07Speaker 1: like there was this this buzz about him being like
- 5:11Speaker 1: the guy who could hang with Little Wayne from the
- 5:14Speaker 1: West Coast on young Money. Yeah, it was crazy. Do
- 5:16Speaker 1: you gotta think about it? Were from the West Coast,
- 5:18Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying. We on Tubeok, the game,
- 5:20Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying, the real West Coast flavor.
- 5:22Speaker 1: So for us to like transition into being one of
- 5:25Speaker 1: the biggest rappers in the world, it was just a
- 5:26Speaker 1: great feeling because everybody knew Wayne was popping and I'm
- 5:29Speaker 1: the one that was telling Tea like, Yo, man, let's
- 5:31Speaker 1: let's do this. Bro. Send all your music to Wayne. Bro,
- 5:33Speaker 1: you need to eat the harvest right now, Bro, like
- 5:36Speaker 1: go and you guys were on the road with Gym
- 5:38Speaker 1: Class Heroes, Fallout Boy and Lil Wayne. Was that the tour? No,
- 5:41Speaker 1: that wasn't the tour, but us being on tour with
- 5:45Speaker 1: Fallout Boy and Gym Class Heroes, that's a hell of
- 5:47Speaker 1: a tour. Back then it led to the being in
- 5:50Speaker 1: the same places as right Ka Met Lil Wayne two
- 5:53Speaker 1: thousand and eight MTV vm A. Right, it was supposed
- 5:57Speaker 1: to be Fallout Boy, Lil Wayne, and like I think
- 6:01Speaker 1: it was a Tea Pain or somebody was supposed to perform.
- 6:04Speaker 1: Sounds about right for that for that, Yeah, but I
- 6:06Speaker 1: don't think t Pain could could perform because he was
- 6:09Speaker 1: in the suite at the poems with Kanye doing that
- 6:11Speaker 1: other song What's Life. Yeah, they was doing that song.
- 6:14Speaker 1: So they was like, damn, we needed somebody else to
- 6:16Speaker 1: feel in te Pain or Kanye spot. I think for
- 6:18Speaker 1: the song it was so it was just like yo,
- 6:20Speaker 1: tw youer go to your moment and that's how they Wow,
- 6:23Speaker 1: they really did that song too. It was dope. It's
- 6:24Speaker 1: called arms Race. I still remember it like it was
- 6:26Speaker 1: just I remember that song. Yeah, it was crazy, man,
- 6:28Speaker 1: Like those was the days that made me feel like
- 6:31Speaker 1: you're really soaking up and learning, man. So that's why
- 6:33Speaker 1: everything to come my way. I'll be feeling so well prepared.
- 6:35Speaker 1: Like even sitting right here with you, I'm just so
- 6:37Speaker 1: well prepared, you know what I mean. Like, yeah, it's
- 6:39Speaker 1: crazy because being around like, uh, you know, fall Out
- 6:42Speaker 1: Boy at that time is the biggest band gym class
- 6:44Speaker 1: Hero is probably the hottest band. Oh yeah, for sure.
- 6:47Speaker 1: I still talk the track man. Yeah. It got a
- 6:48Speaker 1: new song too, called Spoon for the Cinnemon. He's a
- 6:50Speaker 1: fucking legend, Yeah, legend, dude. If it wasn't for him,
- 6:53Speaker 1: I wouldn't have my lip period, I wouldn't, you know.
- 6:54Speaker 1: They had a song called That's the Way I Dressed.
- 6:56Speaker 1: They had a song called Pillmatic. Oh I love that yeah, man,
- 7:00Speaker 1: Jim Jim Jim Class Heroes had some shit before they popped.
- 7:04Speaker 1: My favorite song was Viva a White Girl. Yeah, yes,
- 7:08Speaker 1: now Jim Class Heroes had some shit. But it's crazy
- 7:10Speaker 1: because you're obviously coming from South Central and then kind
- 7:13Speaker 1: of cutting your teeth in the game like around like
- 7:16Speaker 1: the other side of the music business, though not necessarily
- 7:18Speaker 1: the rap shit, but kind of being on the road
- 7:20Speaker 1: seeing what it's like to you know, it made me
- 7:23Speaker 1: realize and I learned that all your money comes from
- 7:26Speaker 1: touring because you gotta break so much down with the label,
- 7:30Speaker 1: the manager to break even your crew and all that.
- 7:33Speaker 1: But when you on tour, that's when you really eat,
- 7:36Speaker 1: you know what I mean. You could go out there,
- 7:37Speaker 1: get a real bag, you could push your merch and stuff,
- 7:40Speaker 1: and you know, people might take a percentage of that,
- 7:41Speaker 1: but when you tour a lot, that's where a lot
- 7:43Speaker 1: of your money coming from. So when I learned that,
- 7:45Speaker 1: I'm like, man, I love being on the road because
- 7:47Speaker 1: it would be dates where I mean, it would be
- 7:49Speaker 1: tours where people on the road for like four or
- 7:50Speaker 1: five months. They don't do that no more, you know,
- 7:52Speaker 1: I mean, not no more. He don't drop no album
- 7:54Speaker 1: be on the road for four months, So it made
- 7:56Speaker 1: me appreciate that. Yeah, even just like just seeing the
- 7:59Speaker 1: game from like the alternative rock perspectives had to be different,
- 8:03Speaker 1: you know, like give you like a different like apro
- 8:05Speaker 1: because you know, we're still used to like coming up
- 8:08Speaker 1: in the hip hop game. There's the way you do it,
- 8:10Speaker 1: and that's just kind of it is what it is.
- 8:12Speaker 1: But like there's a whole other world of music, you
- 8:13Speaker 1: know what I'm saying. Yeah, but it's crazy how those
- 8:15Speaker 1: worlds they do combine. The fans, the fans meet, you know,
- 8:19Speaker 1: emo and the whole you know what I'm saying. Now
- 8:20Speaker 1: you see it, hear it in a lot of music. Yeah,
- 8:22Speaker 1: Now you hear like the trippy reds of the world,
- 8:24Speaker 1: the ex's of the world, and it's like that. Yeah,
- 8:26Speaker 1: it's like all these genres are kind of just coming together.
- 8:29Speaker 1: Juice World, Juice World, you know what I'm saying, one
- 8:32Speaker 1: hundred percent? So how did you go from the So
- 8:36Speaker 1: the ged thing was obviously it obviously didn't last long.
- 8:40Speaker 1: What was kind of like what happened with that where
- 8:44Speaker 1: like everybody went throwing separate ways? What exactly happened there?
- 8:47Speaker 1: We just grew apart you know, like once Tigers stopped
- 8:50Speaker 1: working with the people that he was working with on
- 8:52Speaker 1: his Coconut juice deal, he transitioned over to young money
- 8:55Speaker 1: and stuff, and it wasn't room for everybody over there.
- 8:57Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying. Cash money is cash money.
- 8:59Speaker 1: They got what they got going on. They believed in Tiger,
- 9:02Speaker 1: and we was just happy and he got to come along,
- 9:04Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying. So I was grateful for
- 9:06Speaker 1: even just going over there, staying in the studio, traveling
- 9:08Speaker 1: and getting songs and features out of way and stuff.
- 9:11Speaker 1: But I didn't have no business set up, you know
- 9:13Speaker 1: what I mean. I wasn't over there to be like, hey,
- 9:15Speaker 1: signing me too, that type of dude. You know, I
- 9:17Speaker 1: was just happy to be in the room. Man. After that,
- 9:19Speaker 1: it was just like everything just started fizzling out. You know,
- 9:22Speaker 1: Tiger just started doing his own thing, you know what
- 9:24Speaker 1: I mean. What's Q doing at this time? Oh? Q
- 9:26Speaker 1: working on that album? He in there right now? I
- 9:28Speaker 1: hope TD. I'm no, I'm not. I mean like during
- 9:31Speaker 1: this time, during this time, Yeah, what's what? What's happening
- 9:34Speaker 1: with Q? During so he was just banging out records,
- 9:36Speaker 1: you know, and actually he was going through a lot
- 9:37Speaker 1: of real stuff. Like schoolboy. Q really went to jail too.
- 9:40Speaker 1: He went to jail for like six months or something
- 9:42Speaker 1: that he was in jail for a cool minute. He
- 9:44Speaker 1: was one of my favorite artists. We went to go
- 9:45Speaker 1: visit him stuff. I remember we went to County jail
- 9:47Speaker 1: put money on this books. But Q was being cute,
- 9:49Speaker 1: you know what I mean. He was finding itself. He
- 9:51Speaker 1: was working on music, trying to perfect his craft, and
- 9:53Speaker 1: then he linked up with Tde and it was over over. Yeah,
- 9:56Speaker 1: it's crazy because he was of my favorite artists. And
- 9:58Speaker 1: like I remember, my brain was broken a bit when
- 10:00Speaker 1: I found out that he was a part of Tiger's crew.
- 10:01Speaker 1: I was like, what, Oh, yeah, it's real, man, it's real.
- 10:05Speaker 1: All this is like fun facts. She could really go
- 10:08Speaker 1: look this stuff up, you know what I mean. So
- 10:10Speaker 1: what led to you? Because I met you in twenty
- 10:13Speaker 1: and fourteen, I think with Little Dickie. This was his
- 10:18Speaker 1: first tour, I think a professional rapper. No no, no, no, no,
- 10:22Speaker 1: this was before that. This was this was before say
- 10:25Speaker 1: that money, This was before all that. This was like
- 10:29Speaker 1: he had the hat that said you guys had the hats.
- 10:32Speaker 1: You guys gave me a hat that said like a
- 10:33Speaker 1: little dick on it or so I don't know, dickhead, dickhead. Yeah,
- 10:37Speaker 1: And I was like, I don't know if I'm aware
- 10:38Speaker 1: of this, but you know somebody will that I know.
- 10:41Speaker 1: But but it was before Save that Money, and it
- 10:43Speaker 1: was like, you know, I felt like at the time
- 10:48Speaker 1: his YouTube shit had really just started to kind of
- 10:50Speaker 1: pop off. But like I met you, you were with
- 10:54Speaker 1: him then, which was like really in the beginning. So
- 10:56Speaker 1: how did you guys like end up linking up? Was
- 10:58Speaker 1: it similar to the TV show because it's show was
- 11:00Speaker 1: fucking awesome. It was definitely similar, you know. Like I said,
- 11:03Speaker 1: I had a time in the music career working on
- 11:06Speaker 1: stuff with Tiger and everything, and he had a manager
- 11:08Speaker 1: that was managing him. So he reached out to me
- 11:10Speaker 1: one day when I was doing bad you know what
- 11:12Speaker 1: I'm saying, I'm down bad on the block. I remember,
- 11:14Speaker 1: like it was yesterday. I got a text message from
- 11:16Speaker 1: an he like, Yo, I got this new artist I'm
- 11:19Speaker 1: working with managing him. Like, I want you to work
- 11:21Speaker 1: with him, you know what I'm saying. He ain't did
- 11:22Speaker 1: no concerts yet, and I want you to bring that
- 11:25Speaker 1: swag out him, you know what I'm saying that, and
- 11:26Speaker 1: then I just linked up with him at the studio
- 11:29Speaker 1: in Santa Monica. It's crazy because I was gandering out
- 11:31Speaker 1: the gate. You know, I come from the rap world,
- 11:34Speaker 1: so I'm like building my image of my brand. Even
- 11:36Speaker 1: though I had nothing, I still had the dream and
- 11:39Speaker 1: the vision. Of course, I pull up with a fake cameraman,
- 11:41Speaker 1: fake personal assistant. You know, I'm walking in the building
- 11:44Speaker 1: feeling good, you know what I'm saying. And he didn't
- 11:46Speaker 1: like me at first. He thought like, oh man, this dude,
- 11:48Speaker 1: it's too much. But I loved this music out the gate.
- 11:50Speaker 1: I always thought he was talented and knew he was
- 11:52Speaker 1: a genius instantly, you know what I'm saying. Knew he
- 11:53Speaker 1: had bars because Luca, I you know, I've been around,
- 11:55Speaker 1: so I was able to see the talent in him fast.
- 11:58Speaker 1: And then after to the meeting, we became cool. But
- 12:02Speaker 1: he told me straight up, like, man, at first, it
- 12:04Speaker 1: was a little bit too much, but he understood that, like, yo,
- 12:07Speaker 1: this is what you need in the rap game. You
- 12:09Speaker 1: gotta put on It's a show, you feel me. So
- 12:12Speaker 1: it all worked out, man, and now we don't see
- 12:14Speaker 1: it too Dave it's crazy. Yao, No, it's crazy because
- 12:17Speaker 1: like I think it also like you were there, like
- 12:19Speaker 1: because I think there was like a weird period of
- 12:21Speaker 1: Dickie's career where like people weren't really taking them serious
- 12:24Speaker 1: as a rapper. Oh yeah, and then he had a
- 12:26Speaker 1: couple of those freestyles that were fucking insane. But then
- 12:29Speaker 1: like he started to make like real records, you know,
- 12:31Speaker 1: because I was like when I would tell people out
- 12:33Speaker 1: a little Dickie, I would be like, yo, you got
- 12:35Speaker 1: to watch the video to get it, like the early stuff,
- 12:39Speaker 1: you know, like you like you gotta see the video.
- 12:41Speaker 1: Like if you just listen to the song, you might
- 12:44Speaker 1: be like what the fuck is this? But if you
- 12:46Speaker 1: see the video, it brings it's a whole different fucking thing.
- 12:50Speaker 1: It's you gotta see the visual. But I think that
- 12:53Speaker 1: like Save that Money was like such a welly well
- 12:57Speaker 1: executed idea and at the timing of like having rich
- 13:00Speaker 1: Homie Kwan at the time, and it was like it
- 13:03Speaker 1: was just like a perfect storm, like this is a
- 13:06Speaker 1: real fucking record, Like this guy can make real records.
- 13:08Speaker 1: But like, like you've been around Dicky from the jump,
- 13:12Speaker 1: like what was the for you, Like when did you
- 13:15Speaker 1: realize like, oh shit, there's like, uh, this guy can
- 13:18Speaker 1: like be here forever type shit. Was it right away
- 13:21Speaker 1: or was there like a moment that happened like uh
- 13:25Speaker 1: after the Tin Westwood freestyle? Yeah, that shit was crazy
- 13:28Speaker 1: after the Tin Westwood freestyle, like just to be in
- 13:30Speaker 1: the building just to see it, because like, we're in
- 13:32Speaker 1: the rap game, so this is so this is hip
- 13:34Speaker 1: hop like all of like when people make songs for
- 13:37Speaker 1: the radio and you know, like okay, when they simply say, yo,
- 13:39Speaker 1: this is going to be the hit. I love all
- 13:41Speaker 1: that too, but I love like the raw moments, you
- 13:43Speaker 1: know what I'm saying. So when I seen him do
- 13:45Speaker 1: that at Tim Westwood and how he killed it, I'm like, man,
- 13:47Speaker 1: this is what the game needs, you know what I'm saying.
- 13:49Speaker 1: People like to laugh and you know, do the videos
- 13:51Speaker 1: and stuff. But I like the fact that he actually
- 13:53Speaker 1: has bars. I can say, yo, l D can spit
- 13:57Speaker 1: with the best of them. I feel comfortable about it,
- 13:59Speaker 1: you know what I mean, because I'm old school, you know, Like,
- 14:02Speaker 1: so it means a lot to me just to see
- 14:03Speaker 1: him be able to spread the mic like that. What
- 14:05Speaker 1: was it has it been like? Because you know, at
- 14:07Speaker 1: the end, there's no song or plaque makes me feel like, Oh,
- 14:10Speaker 1: it's the it's the little moments like when I get
- 14:12Speaker 1: to see him put together his songs. Yeah, I mean no,
- 14:14Speaker 1: I mean talk about like for you, like because you know,
- 14:17Speaker 1: you're kind of you've been on the road with him
- 14:18Speaker 1: this whole time. You've kind of been like where you
- 14:20Speaker 1: see little Years, where you see little Dickie, you see
- 14:22Speaker 1: Yata period. Right. So being somebody who's who came from
- 14:26Speaker 1: having your own crew ged and obviously you know the
- 14:30Speaker 1: chops that you had in hip hop, was it kind
- 14:32Speaker 1: of like was it easy or difficult to kind of
- 14:35Speaker 1: kick back and like play your position for a little
- 14:37Speaker 1: bit because that's obviously paying off. Oh yeah, definitely, first
- 14:41Speaker 1: it was you know, it took a few adjustments, you know,
- 14:43Speaker 1: had to get you stalled, little corny jokes and all that, right, right, right,
- 14:45Speaker 1: right right. But at the same time, it's just like, yeah,
- 14:50Speaker 1: I got a crew, but do my crew really love
- 14:53Speaker 1: you feel me? You know what I'm saying. So it
- 14:54Speaker 1: makes me feel different, Like it made me feel like, Okay,
- 14:56Speaker 1: I got this one man, this one friend who make
- 14:58Speaker 1: me feel like the world is mine. You know what
- 15:00Speaker 1: I'm saying it makes me feel good, and I know
- 15:02Speaker 1: that it's coming from a genuine place, you know what
- 15:03Speaker 1: I'm saying, Like when my boy got shot six times,
- 15:05Speaker 1: Dicky sent food to the hospital, you know what I'm saying,
- 15:08Speaker 1: And it made me feel great, Like this is a
- 15:09Speaker 1: really great person on and off camera, and that's just
- 15:12Speaker 1: a great thing to know that he's a real friend.
- 15:13Speaker 1: I want to rewind a little bit. You said that
- 15:15Speaker 1: you showed up to the studio and you had a
- 15:17Speaker 1: fake camera man, a fake personal assistant. Give me some back, like,
- 15:23Speaker 1: how does that? Okay, how do you hire a fake
- 15:25Speaker 1: camera man? Because there's obviously a camera, there's definitely a camera.
- 15:29Speaker 1: But at the same time, what's your thought process to
- 15:32Speaker 1: hiring the fake crew? Is to like show people like, Yo,
- 15:35Speaker 1: I'm hot ship. Yeah, that's that right there. Yeah. And
- 15:39Speaker 1: then number two, it's about creating content. I'm always going
- 15:43Speaker 1: to be documenting what I'm doing. And then it's just
- 15:46Speaker 1: about gandering. I'm like, okay, look, shorty, you believe in me, right,
- 15:49Speaker 1: might as well come along on his mission, hold my
- 15:51Speaker 1: phone or something, make me make me look cooler, make
- 15:53Speaker 1: me look bossed up. And then I got my camera
- 15:56Speaker 1: man who's he wasn't not to discredit I say fake
- 15:59Speaker 1: camera because it's earlier stages. You just get the camera
- 16:03Speaker 1: to focus, right. So it was just helping and building
- 16:08Speaker 1: and bringing people along my journey, that's all you think,
- 16:11Speaker 1: Like that's still important because I know that, you know,
- 16:15Speaker 1: once upon a time that was very important. Like you know,
- 16:17Speaker 1: I have good friends of mine who would go out
- 16:21Speaker 1: of their way to quote unquote fake it till they
- 16:24Speaker 1: make it right. And I think that there was a
- 16:26Speaker 1: point in time and I'm not I don't know if
- 16:28Speaker 1: it's still important, but I know that there was a
- 16:30Speaker 1: point in time or that was very important because you
- 16:32Speaker 1: only get one impression on somebody. Oh yeah, it's still important,
- 16:35Speaker 1: you know, because people got a brand. You know what
- 16:38Speaker 1: I'm saying. People want to dream, you know what I'm saying.
- 16:41Speaker 1: And it's called manifestation. Really the whole faked do you
- 16:44Speaker 1: make it? Think it's really just a manifestation tactic and
- 16:47Speaker 1: just preparing yourself for the future, and then you can
- 16:50Speaker 1: make it and still be faking it, you know what
- 16:51Speaker 1: I'm saying. It's people like I ain't want to say
- 16:53Speaker 1: no names, but they act like they're on a private jet.
- 16:55Speaker 1: But they really on a commercial flight. Shout yeah, you
- 16:59Speaker 1: know what I'm saying. I mean, we all know WoT
- 17:02Speaker 1: wow challenge listen all got no pause with nobody of course,
- 17:05Speaker 1: but but he did do that. He did do that.
- 17:07Speaker 1: It's well documented. But it's just like, man, you know,
- 17:10Speaker 1: people still do it. I see people with a lot
- 17:12Speaker 1: of money making stuff bigger than what it really is,
- 17:15Speaker 1: you know what I mean. But it's just a rap game.
- 17:17Speaker 1: You know. People want to be entertained. It's just entertaining.
- 17:19Speaker 1: One of the like most like relatable things on the
- 17:22Speaker 1: on the first season of the show that I was like,
- 17:24Speaker 1: this is so spot on was the YG feature part.
- 17:29Speaker 1: Oh yeah, shout out to Hommy YG Man. That shit
- 17:32Speaker 1: happens so often in hip hop where you'll you'll cash
- 17:35Speaker 1: someone out for a feature. It's probably not going to
- 17:38Speaker 1: get cleared by the major label and never going to
- 17:41Speaker 1: push it, or they're never going to push it, they're
- 17:42Speaker 1: never going to repost it, and it is going to
- 17:44Speaker 1: be a fucking mission to actually get the stems and
- 17:47Speaker 1: the verse. And that was like the most like I
- 17:51Speaker 1: was like, this is some real ass ship, right. The
- 17:53Speaker 1: whole show was so real, Like it's just like coming
- 17:55Speaker 1: up as like an artist, like but like that specific
- 17:59Speaker 1: was that like something that actually happened, Like something similar
- 18:01Speaker 1: to that that actually happened. Yeah, definitely, man, because I
- 18:04Speaker 1: know he cashed out Kwan and he cashed out Fetti
- 18:06Speaker 1: for that song, because remember he told me, yeah, definitely, man.
- 18:08Speaker 1: Stuff didn't happen to a lot of artists in the game,
- 18:11Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying. Gucci ran off on French
- 18:13Speaker 1: with five thousand, you know what I'm saying. He had French.
- 18:17Speaker 1: But it's something like that happened to Dickie where it
- 18:18Speaker 1: was like like he catched somebody out. It was like
- 18:20Speaker 1: a little bit harder to get get I think so,
- 18:22Speaker 1: But I don't know the exactly details, but it'd be
- 18:25Speaker 1: a lot of stuff going on behind the scenes, you know,
- 18:28Speaker 1: and you gotta deal with a lot of the stuff
- 18:30Speaker 1: when you on this path because everybody know, the music
- 18:32Speaker 1: industry is like the streets. Man. Man, I'm saying a
- 18:37Speaker 1: lot of jankie stuff going on. Were you how instrument
- 18:41Speaker 1: are you as far as just like bringing ideas to
- 18:43Speaker 1: the table for the TV show I'm a consultant on there.
- 18:46Speaker 1: If you read the credits at the end and say,
- 18:48Speaker 1: Gata actor Gata consultant, like I chime in, I go
- 18:51Speaker 1: to the writer sessions. They asked me certain scenarios. How
- 18:53Speaker 1: was it was so authentic? It was it just felt
- 18:56Speaker 1: like so like I never say what's on the paper
- 18:58Speaker 1: man in the script, I always go off if I
- 19:00Speaker 1: got the green light to do that, from effects and
- 19:01Speaker 1: from Dave to It's like, it's like it does a
- 19:03Speaker 1: really good job of like the show is. If you
- 19:06Speaker 1: have nothing, like no knowledge of the music industry and
- 19:08Speaker 1: you're just watching a comedy, it's fucking hilarious. But if
- 19:10Speaker 1: you know, you know shit, it's like, oh, this is
- 19:13Speaker 1: like spot on, like this is how it is. I
- 19:15Speaker 1: just like that we got jokes for both audience. You
- 19:18Speaker 1: black people, we got that, you know what I'm saying.
- 19:20Speaker 1: For the white people, we got that. You know what
- 19:21Speaker 1: I'm saying. We bring it together. That's what I really like.
- 19:23Speaker 1: You know, we got the best of both worlds. And
- 19:24Speaker 1: you guys put a d on TV, which is all amazing. Man.
- 19:28Speaker 1: I wonder if his teeth got the separate like screen
- 19:31Speaker 1: actors guild a word scheck. I've been I've been clowning
- 19:36Speaker 1: eighties teeth since he got them. He knows that's that
- 19:39Speaker 1: new money. Fucking got them chops. He got that that
- 19:43Speaker 1: corn on the cobb eaters right there, but tear down
- 19:45Speaker 1: some corns. I mean, lo day you got that new money.
- 19:47Speaker 1: I was thinking about knocking my shit out. No you're
- 19:50Speaker 1: good man, Yeah, No, you're good. Were you? Did you
- 19:52Speaker 1: ever have any acting experience? No? I never had no
- 19:54Speaker 1: acting experience. I never had any acting classes or anything
- 19:57Speaker 1: like that. We're pretty much yourself though, right, myself a
- 20:00Speaker 1: heightened version of myself. I'm not that energetic, right, but
- 20:03Speaker 1: I am always hype sometimes because I'm always feeling good.
- 20:06Speaker 1: Like what's not to feel good about? We wake up
- 20:07Speaker 1: every day reading this privilege, chase your dreams, get money,
- 20:10Speaker 1: let's go, you know what I'm saying. So I be
- 20:11Speaker 1: feeling good? Has there been Give me give me a
- 20:14Speaker 1: story where you because because because Dave's not a smoker, right,
- 20:17Speaker 1: Oh yeah, they smoke smoked. He just don't smoke weed
- 20:20Speaker 1: after before six pm? You know what I'm saying. He
- 20:22Speaker 1: scarty after he smoked like a uh like he in
- 20:25Speaker 1: Corporate America Cuba. Well, the first the first episode of
- 20:28Speaker 1: season two is so funny because like the whole entire
- 20:30Speaker 1: weed aspect where you got the weed in the background
- 20:34Speaker 1: and exact really happened. Man, Yeah, that so that actually
- 20:36Speaker 1: happened to give us that story. It was in Canada though,
- 20:38Speaker 1: Like I was smoking out there in Canada, you know,
- 20:41Speaker 1: I get the butt everywhere, and it was time to
- 20:44Speaker 1: go to the uh to the airport. So I dump
- 20:46Speaker 1: all the weed or whatever the case may be. But
- 20:48Speaker 1: I still have some crumbs in my passport. So I
- 20:51Speaker 1: go through the security checking. They checking me, They checked
- 20:54Speaker 1: my backpack. I'm like, oh, I'm good man, I ain't
- 20:56Speaker 1: got no weed, no nothing, and let me uh, let behold.
- 21:00Speaker 1: They pull out my passport and it's like crumbs, like
- 21:03Speaker 1: probably like literally like but I say crumbs, crumbs if
- 21:08Speaker 1: you like, yeah, crumbs. So they're like, oh, he got
- 21:12Speaker 1: we so they hold up the whole line. They pulled
- 21:15Speaker 1: me to the side. They take me in the cell,
- 21:17Speaker 1: talking about you're gonna have to stay to Tuesday, y'all
- 21:19Speaker 1: going to miss you oft flight. But this is the
- 21:21Speaker 1: crazy trip though. It went from all of that from
- 21:24Speaker 1: you gotta see the council on Tuesday, and then they
- 21:28Speaker 1: backpedaled all away once they found out I was a
- 21:30Speaker 1: little dicky. They're like, oh, you and him, y'all got
- 21:33Speaker 1: a concert. All right, Well, this is what we're gonna do.
- 21:35Speaker 1: I know we made you miss oft flight, but we're
- 21:37Speaker 1: gonna book y'all the hotel and you know what I'm saying,
- 21:38Speaker 1: y'all can stay. They did that. Yeah, the hotel did that.
- 21:41Speaker 1: I mean the airport did that. The airport did Yeah.
- 21:44Speaker 1: It was crazy, man, Like it went from the flight
- 21:47Speaker 1: is canceled, ya making a flight? Yeahry Literally I was
- 21:51Speaker 1: in the cell, bro, I'm in the cell like at
- 21:54Speaker 1: the like I was in Dubai. Oh my god, that
- 21:58Speaker 1: was in the cell, bro. I'm in there, like damn.
- 22:00Speaker 1: I really got to talk to the council, Like who's
- 22:02Speaker 1: the council? Like they was supposed to be on the
- 22:04Speaker 1: phone with the judge like trying to set up the
- 22:06Speaker 1: case already. But before all that happened, they figured it
- 22:09Speaker 1: out out a little. Dicky had a festival in Canada.
- 22:12Speaker 1: There's like two of the security guards was fans. So
- 22:15Speaker 1: they let me go, Wow, so that actually did happen,
- 22:18Speaker 1: really happened. That's crazy, crazy man. And so talk about
- 22:22Speaker 1: your music, man, because I know that you know, like
- 22:24Speaker 1: we said earlier, you kind of now you have a
- 22:26Speaker 1: lot of eyes on you. And it's kind of crazy
- 22:28Speaker 1: how like you and Dickie's like roles have reversed a bit,
- 22:33Speaker 1: Like like you said, he was music to get like,
- 22:35Speaker 1: because anytime you'd ever talk to him, he was always like,
- 22:37Speaker 1: I want to have my own sitcom, I want to
- 22:38Speaker 1: write for TV shows, I want to do all this,
- 22:40Speaker 1: And you always had the hip hop dream. And now
- 22:43Speaker 1: that you're on the show, it's like one hand washes
- 22:46Speaker 1: the other. It's such a blessing man. And that's where
- 22:49Speaker 1: we bounced off each other at you know what I mean.
- 22:51Speaker 1: We both our worlds collide and it's like, hey, I
- 22:53Speaker 1: know you want to do this. I want to do that,
- 22:54Speaker 1: and he supports me, you know what I'm saying. Like,
- 22:55Speaker 1: I got new music coming out for a song called
- 22:57Speaker 1: check Up coming out, and I can't wait to drive
- 23:00Speaker 1: video all that. The video has got to be crazy, though,
- 23:02Speaker 1: because you're coming from that wheelhouse where the visuals have
- 23:06Speaker 1: to be insane. Oh yeah, definitely, man, we definitely going left.
- 23:09Speaker 1: It's not gonna be your regular music video, you know
- 23:11Speaker 1: what I'm saying. We're definitely gonna left. It's gonna be
- 23:12Speaker 1: the right direction. Are you gonna be doing any other acting. Oh, yeah,
- 23:16Speaker 1: for sure. I just wrapped the short film or risen Riza. Yeah,
- 23:20Speaker 1: bu tang. You know what I'm saying. Shout out the movie,
- 23:22Speaker 1: you know what I mean. But I did a movie
- 23:23Speaker 1: with him, Alexis Pappas and Jeremy. I think it's I
- 23:27Speaker 1: don't want to mess up his last name, but it's
- 23:29Speaker 1: Alexis is a fiance he's a director to But it's
- 23:31Speaker 1: a dupe movie. Man, I've been grinded. Man. Man, you're
- 23:34Speaker 1: knocking out auditions. My agents always sending me scripts. Dude,
- 23:37Speaker 1: it's I mean shit. You wouldn't think that you've never
- 23:40Speaker 1: acted before watching the show because I always knew that
- 23:43Speaker 1: I wanted to be in front of the camera and
- 23:45Speaker 1: like be a star, Like if I want to be
- 23:46Speaker 1: a rappers, like you got to know how to feel
- 23:48Speaker 1: comfortable in front of the camera. You gotta know how
- 23:49Speaker 1: to be able to entertain you. You always look the
- 23:51Speaker 1: look the part. Yeah, man, like I come from that man,
- 23:54Speaker 1: like I said you were. When you're around a little
- 23:56Speaker 1: Wayne every day and you looking like running with your
- 23:59Speaker 1: homies and to do what you do, it's like you're
- 24:01Speaker 1: gonna pick up some saft, some drip. Let me ask
- 24:03Speaker 1: you this, being on the road with Dickie all those years,
- 24:07Speaker 1: he what are the Dicky groupies like? Like, because I
- 24:11Speaker 1: can only imagine like how much of the crazy man
- 24:14Speaker 1: because he doesn't seem like the type of person to
- 24:16Speaker 1: partake in a lot of that activity. Definitely not, but
- 24:19Speaker 1: it's crazy. You may or may not have at a
- 24:21Speaker 1: certain point in the time of your life, particularly been
- 24:23Speaker 1: the guy that you know, maybe pick up some of
- 24:25Speaker 1: that slide, definitely, So yeah, what is that like the
- 24:28Speaker 1: groopies on the road for ld or crazy? Like it'd
- 24:30Speaker 1: be like a guy will walk up and be like, Yo,
- 24:33Speaker 1: my sister will suck your deack if you let her backstage,
- 24:35Speaker 1: and it's just like wow, like that the stuff that
- 24:38Speaker 1: you be seeing in the show really be you know
- 24:39Speaker 1: what I'm saying, he'd be crazy. Did you say, where's
- 24:41Speaker 1: your sister? Nah? I mean she's standing right there, Because
- 24:45Speaker 1: that's weird, dude, the sister literally be right next to
- 24:47Speaker 1: the brother like all that type of stuff be happening.
- 24:49Speaker 1: But you know, Dicky is such a like a classy guy.
- 24:52Speaker 1: He's a nice guy. You don't even be into the groupies,
- 24:54Speaker 1: like when the groupies be rushing them and stuff. He'd
- 24:56Speaker 1: be like, ew, gross, she has hurpies. Oh my god,
- 24:57Speaker 1: there's an once chance that I might catch this. Like,
- 24:59Speaker 1: you know, he's so cautious and he's so focused on
- 25:01Speaker 1: his dream that he ain't even worried about the dude.
- 25:04Speaker 1: I remember we were in Tampa and you guys did
- 25:06Speaker 1: a wild Splash our radio show in two thousand. Was
- 25:11Speaker 1: we in the tenth like outside on the street, No,
- 25:15Speaker 1: but we were in It was right off Clearwater Beach,
- 25:17Speaker 1: the water was still left and this was who else
- 25:21Speaker 1: was on the show? It was Dicky I think it
- 25:25Speaker 1: might have been I remember Meek Mill was on the show.
- 25:29Speaker 1: It was. But what's crazy is it was either the
- 25:31Speaker 1: night before or the night of the show. Like the
- 25:35Speaker 1: station had this deal with this club, Club Sky in
- 25:38Speaker 1: Ebor City and Tampa, which was like the most hoodest
- 25:40Speaker 1: club in the fucking city, right, and they had Dicky
- 25:43Speaker 1: host and it was so hilarious and random to see
- 25:47Speaker 1: him in that setting because that's not his vibe whatsoever.
- 25:51Speaker 1: But he bro he performed at Club Sky and had
- 25:54Speaker 1: all these fucking bbw's torking on them and he just
- 25:57Speaker 1: loved like it was hilarious. Dude, it was like I
- 26:01Speaker 1: hope you guys had a camera guy that day, because
- 26:03Speaker 1: that was like one of those days where it was
- 26:05Speaker 1: like I was like, Yo, this is crazy, like this
- 26:08Speaker 1: little yeah man, That's what people love about him too,
- 26:10Speaker 1: because you know when he come in the building, it's like, Okay,
- 26:13Speaker 1: he's gonna be making people laugh and feel good. You know,
- 26:15Speaker 1: it's always walking the range, you know what I'm saying, right,
- 26:17Speaker 1: So then you we go to it be love. Are
- 26:19Speaker 1: you working on an album or are you just doing singles?
- 26:21Speaker 1: I'm dropping a single, but I'm definitely working on an album, EP,
- 26:24Speaker 1: whatever you want to call it nowadays. But I got
- 26:25Speaker 1: a full length project, body of work coming out. What's
- 26:28Speaker 1: your relationship like with Q and Tiger these days? I'm
- 26:31Speaker 1: still cool with Q. Me and Q. I see him.
- 26:32Speaker 1: All that was probably like quiet as kept the funniest
- 26:35Speaker 1: motherfucker in hip hop. Oh. He always cracking jokes on people.
- 26:38Speaker 1: He is an absolute maniac. He always Yeah. Him and
- 26:41Speaker 1: Freddie Gibbs are so fucking funny and people wouldn't really
- 26:44Speaker 1: know it unless you like really know them. But Q
- 26:45Speaker 1: is an absolute he could he should be on TV. Yeah.
- 26:50Speaker 1: He a good person man, He's the best person man.
- 26:52Speaker 1: And he's a hell of a golfer randomly. Oh yeah,
- 26:55Speaker 1: that's crazy, man. I can't wait until I'm able to
- 26:57Speaker 1: chill on the golf course. So you and Q are
- 26:59Speaker 1: still tight? Oh we're not tight, but you guys still cool.
- 27:02Speaker 1: You see him all the time. It's always love and everything.
- 27:04Speaker 1: But you know, Tiger's just Tiger. Tiger's just Tiger Man.
- 27:08Speaker 1: He doing his thing. He's only fans pimping too, which
- 27:11Speaker 1: is amazing. He means necessary. Hey, man, I ain't mad
- 27:15Speaker 1: at it. He's got his only fans agency. And I
- 27:17Speaker 1: heard he's keeping a nice cut. You probably running up
- 27:20Speaker 1: the figures like crazy. You know what I'm saying. But
- 27:22Speaker 1: is it focused on how did you get your name Gata?
- 27:25Speaker 1: Because I always think of the name Gata as Will
- 27:28Speaker 1: Ferrell's pimp name. In the other guys, I'll be get
- 27:30Speaker 1: a lot of those means people always between me that
- 27:33Speaker 1: scene with Will stuff when he dressed up like a pimp.
- 27:36Speaker 1: But I got the name from my uncles because they
- 27:37Speaker 1: from the South, and you know, it used to be
- 27:39Speaker 1: like a myth that they used to be like alligator wrestlers,
- 27:42Speaker 1: so they used to be called the Gator Boys. Oh,
- 27:43Speaker 1: she always hear that from my family, So I just
- 27:45Speaker 1: was like you, I'm call myself gator Boy. And I
- 27:47Speaker 1: used to actually spell the G A t o R,
- 27:49Speaker 1: but I changed it to g A t A because
- 27:51Speaker 1: I want to be a rapper, be cooler, and I
- 27:53Speaker 1: changed the meaning to going against the average. That's what
- 27:56Speaker 1: a g A t A stand for? Again, what is there?
- 28:00Speaker 1: Do you think that season two is better than season one?
- 28:03Speaker 1: From a just just from to be honest with you,
- 28:07Speaker 1: I'm not even answer that because honestly, I haven't even
- 28:09Speaker 1: seen all season two, but I know it's dope. Though
- 28:11Speaker 1: I know it's better. I know it's great, it's great,
- 28:12Speaker 1: it's a great body at work, but I want to
- 28:14Speaker 1: see it all. Yeah, because I heard no. Yeah, Like
- 28:17Speaker 1: I haven't seen every episode because you're pretty much in
- 28:19Speaker 1: all the episodes, right, Yeah, I mean I love season one.
- 28:23Speaker 1: Season one is fucking classic, man. Yeah, season one is
- 28:25Speaker 1: classic man. Put us on the map, that's what we're back.
- 28:27Speaker 1: I say, did you have any idea? Like when I
- 28:30Speaker 1: saw that, you know, it got announced that he was
- 28:32Speaker 1: doing a show, Like I knew, I was like, dude,
- 28:35Speaker 1: if they just let him do him, it's going to
- 28:36Speaker 1: be crazy, right. But like you never know what some
- 28:38Speaker 1: of these corporations and you know create, But but did
- 28:41Speaker 1: you guys like know, like did you have a feeling
- 28:43Speaker 1: like while you guys are filming it, like this is
- 28:45Speaker 1: going to be some special shit. I knew it was
- 28:47Speaker 1: gonna be special, but honestly, I didn't think it would
- 28:49Speaker 1: be this like where it's at now. You know, I
- 28:51Speaker 1: always believe, but I was just like, you know, you
- 28:53Speaker 1: never know it happens, you know, So I just had
- 28:56Speaker 1: a lot of anxiety built up until it came out.
- 28:58Speaker 1: I was just like, I can't wait to see what
- 29:00Speaker 1: it's like. And now that I see what it's like,
- 29:02Speaker 1: it's like, man, yeah, because I think that there's like
- 29:04Speaker 1: a huge uh there's like a it's missing in TV
- 29:09Speaker 1: right now. I can't think of a comedy that I
- 29:10Speaker 1: fuck with this on TV besides Dave, like a comedy no,
- 29:15Speaker 1: like like I fuck with Kirby Enthusiasm, but Larry David
- 29:18Speaker 1: puts out a fucking season like once every five years,
- 29:20Speaker 1: Doctor dre Style. Yeah, and then like outside of that,
- 29:24Speaker 1: like sitcoms are all trash, like they're all corny as fuck.
- 29:27Speaker 1: There's like no more siin Feild. That's like the go
- 29:30Speaker 1: to like Dave is like, I think it's like a
- 29:32Speaker 1: show that is needed, you know, like it's always in
- 29:34Speaker 1: sunny in Philadelphia. I don't even think that shit's on anymore.
- 29:37Speaker 1: All knew Rick and Morty out by the way, Now
- 29:39Speaker 1: Rick and Morty's fire. Now Rick and Morty's good. I
- 29:41Speaker 1: just meant like some live actionship. But I think like,
- 29:43Speaker 1: you guys can do the shit for as long as
- 29:44Speaker 1: you want. Man, he speaking into his distance, man, because
- 29:47Speaker 1: that'll be dope. I'm on TV till I'm like eighty right, right.
- 29:51Speaker 1: Was there any ideas that almost made Season one that
- 29:55Speaker 1: ended up not making it, or like some stuff you
- 29:57Speaker 1: got shot that ended up like getting scrapped that you thought,
- 29:59Speaker 1: Oh yeah, I'm pretty sure because Dicky every day he
- 30:02Speaker 1: plodding and jodding. That's why I like to call it.
- 30:04Speaker 1: He always taking notes, right, so he got like a
- 30:06Speaker 1: long list of notes in his phone. Every funny moment,
- 30:10Speaker 1: every serious moment, every moment. He just always paying attention.
- 30:14Speaker 1: And he know he needs content. So I'm pretty sure
- 30:16Speaker 1: it's a lot of stuff that got left out. And
- 30:18Speaker 1: you so your new song is a video coming out
- 30:20Speaker 1: too yep, video coming out too? Well? This is what
- 30:24Speaker 1: I was asked to hold this interview until the song
- 30:25Speaker 1: comes out. So let's say the song is out, Okay,
- 30:27Speaker 1: songs out, the song is fucking out. Let's go check up,
- 30:30Speaker 1: check up, go get the uh and when is the
- 30:33Speaker 1: video coming out? Right after this video already shot? Is
- 30:34Speaker 1: a video already out? It's okay, okay, but the song
- 30:39Speaker 1: is out, crazy, check up, going nuts? Go get it
- 30:42Speaker 1: on Spotify, Apple Music, everywhere. I really appreciate everybody for
- 30:46Speaker 1: doing that. Phone me go log in. I'm back. I
- 30:48Speaker 1: ain't never left, but I've been working on this actor. Yeah,
- 30:51Speaker 1: you're been killing it on the acting. And it's dope too, because,
- 30:53Speaker 1: like I think, like La hip hop is in a
- 30:55Speaker 1: very special place right now. I feel like I feel
- 30:59Speaker 1: like the energy in l is crazy. It's probably the
- 31:03Speaker 1: best it's been, and I mean, I don't even know,
- 31:05Speaker 1: it's been a long time since it felt that there's
- 31:07Speaker 1: much just camaraderie coming out of the city. So many
- 31:10Speaker 1: dope young artists that are all doing their own thing
- 31:12Speaker 1: at the same time. You know who your favorite of
- 31:15Speaker 1: New West Coast artist? I mean, I obviously love Blast
- 31:18Speaker 1: It's going crazy. I love Bino Rouccie's dope. One take
- 31:24Speaker 1: Jay's dope. That kid Remble is fucking hard. Ruth Chris
- 31:29Speaker 1: freestyle go nuts. He's crazy. I've like he's like an
- 31:34Speaker 1: evolution of like Draco, but like he does, I don't
- 31:39Speaker 1: know if he like he give me the way he
- 31:43Speaker 1: just talks. He be saying some dope stuff. He'd just
- 31:46Speaker 1: be saying the ill is ship just talking like this
- 31:49Speaker 1: fucking guy's an alien. I've never heard nobody like I
- 31:52Speaker 1: have telling man super like. It's like to the point
- 31:55Speaker 1: like he like one of those rappers where I feel
- 31:57Speaker 1: like he can entertain a whole like if you ever
- 31:59Speaker 1: went to Jo to turn the whole jail. We know.
- 32:01Speaker 1: What's cool about him is I don't think anyone's ever
- 32:04Speaker 1: I don't. I think I'm always like what's different that
- 32:07Speaker 1: what that dude's doing is different. I don't think people
- 32:09Speaker 1: can say, like they've heard some ship like him before
- 32:11Speaker 1: where he's literally just sounds like he's like just talking
- 32:14Speaker 1: to you on the phone, but it just sounds flying.
- 32:17Speaker 1: That's a lot of a lot of them catches doing
- 32:19Speaker 1: that like that. Yeah, Draco. When Draco came up here,
- 32:21Speaker 1: we did a freestyle with Draco and his brother Ralfie
- 32:24Speaker 1: and the same thing with Draco. Draco literally just got
- 32:26Speaker 1: on the mic and just talking. Draco got bars and
- 32:29Speaker 1: it sounded fire. You know, Draco's dope. Troit Detroit doing
- 32:32Speaker 1: a lot of that too, like that whole just talking
- 32:34Speaker 1: at the highest level. Ye know, Detroit Stope, babyface, Ray Pez.
- 32:38Speaker 1: I mean, this guy loves Detroit hip hop. Who else
- 32:40Speaker 1: from Detroit stope? They are Detroit is yeah, yeah, this guy.
- 32:49Speaker 1: This guy's from the Bay though, so they have by
- 32:52Speaker 1: and Detroit the band Detroit have a thing. Man Messi Mare,
- 32:56Speaker 1: I love Messi Maore. Don't get him st over there.
- 33:02Speaker 1: This guy thinks Mac dre is the most influential rapper
- 33:04Speaker 1: of all time. Oh yeah, of all time, of all time.
- 33:08Speaker 1: I wouldn't say all time. You gotta just you gotta
- 33:10Speaker 1: know where he's from first, you gotta respect. I know
- 33:12Speaker 1: where he's from. From the Bay. Yes, Is he the
- 33:16Speaker 1: most influential from the Bay? Quite possibly? Is he more
- 33:20Speaker 1: influential than he forty Maybe not? I don't know, I
- 33:27Speaker 1: see what you're saying. I don't know, but he said
- 33:30Speaker 1: ever hip hop period, Tupac jay Z rock him. We
- 33:37Speaker 1: could go down the fucking list, all right, Peter mac dre.
- 33:40Speaker 1: But relax anyway, all right, cool man, we'll look go
- 33:44Speaker 1: go check out Gator's new record. It's out. He's gonna
- 33:46Speaker 1: be all ten episodes of Dave season two locked in.
- 33:49Speaker 1: Make sure you I'll tap in. We got all the
- 33:50Speaker 1: new movie coming with the Rizza. Oh yeah, not an artist,
- 33:53Speaker 1: that's the name. Is he in the movie acting or
- 33:55Speaker 1: is he a direct movie acting? That's what made me
- 33:57Speaker 1: feel good, Like I'm be on screen with a legend,
- 33:59Speaker 1: you know what I'm And there's a bunch of beautiful
- 34:00Speaker 1: actors in there too. What was that like working with
- 34:02Speaker 1: the Rizzid? Was he cool? Man? He was giving me
- 34:04Speaker 1: some great gems? Man, he was you know what I'm saying.
- 34:06Speaker 1: It was dope. Like at first I was just like, damn, okay,
- 34:09Speaker 1: I'm working with Rizin. But just in our down time
- 34:11Speaker 1: he was talking to me. You wanted to see a
- 34:14Speaker 1: young man do well? Know? Yeah, man, anytime somebody liked
- 34:17Speaker 1: that at that level could just sit down and give
- 34:19Speaker 1: you gems. I appreciate that. And he was directing it
- 34:23Speaker 1: as well. He was just acts acting in it. Yeah,
- 34:26Speaker 1: this is that guy. Leader. Were you like a Wu
- 34:29Speaker 1: Tang fan growing up or Yeah, definitely. Cash was everything
- 34:31Speaker 1: around me, cream all that. I love all that. Man.
