- 0:00Speaker 1: Have you guys heard of the no spend reset?
- 0:02Speaker 2: No.
- 0:02Speaker 3: What's that? No spend. I feel like I need it.
- 0:05Speaker 1: Exactly, Peyton. So the no spend reset is trending right now.
- 0:10Speaker 1: And it's like a no spend challenge because everything's so
- 0:13Speaker 1: expensive right now. People are getting really picky about where
- 0:17Speaker 1: we do spend our money and what we do spend
- 0:19Speaker 1: our money on. And big giant retailers have started to
- 0:22Speaker 1: notice that as well. So much so that like Target
- 0:26Speaker 1: announced price cuts. Walmart says they're going to be cutting
- 0:29Speaker 1: prices on a whole bunch of things to like 11,000
- 0:32Speaker 1: different products at Walmart because they're like, we realize everything's
- 0:35Speaker 1: so expensive. So people are getting real picky on what
- 0:37Speaker 1: they're actually spending their money on. But then it started
- 0:41Speaker 1: trending with the no spend reset. Like, Yes, I can
- 0:45Speaker 1: stop spending money, but there are certain things that I
- 0:48Speaker 1: will not not spend money on. So, like, if you
- 0:52Speaker 1: had to stop spending money on one unnecessary thing for
- 0:55Speaker 1: 30 days, what would be embarrassingly difficult to get rid
- 1:00Speaker 1: of for you?
- 1:00Speaker 3: Unnecessary.
- 1:01Speaker 1: Unnecessary.
- 1:02Speaker 3: I mean, obviously, you'd be like, well, Netflix, but... I
- 1:06Speaker 3: need that.
- 1:06Speaker 4: Right.
- 1:07Speaker 3: No, that's a great one.
- 1:09Speaker 1: That's fabulous.
- 1:10Speaker 4: I know.
- 1:10Speaker 3: That's what I'm saying. Unnecessary.
- 1:12Speaker 1: There's a lot of people that chimed in that were like,
- 1:15Speaker 1: I mean, going to get Starbucks or Dutch Bros, my coffee, unnecessary.
- 1:19Speaker 1: I should be able to make.
- 1:20Speaker 3: That at home, but I can't.
- 1:21Speaker 1: Get rid of it.
- 1:22Speaker 3: You know what's good?
- 1:23Speaker 5: Because I did that. I gave up going to Starbucks
- 1:25Speaker 5: and now I drink the coffee here. So I did it.
- 1:27Speaker 5: I'm a successful reset.
- 1:29Speaker 1: You had a no-spend reset with your coffee.
- 1:31Speaker 3: I'm successful.
- 1:32Speaker 4: For me, it's when my kids are over, Nobody likes
- 1:35Speaker 4: to eat the same thing and it's DoorDash for me
- 1:38Speaker 4: because I'll be like, I just jump on my phone
- 1:40Speaker 4: and order DoorDash and I don't have to make anything
- 1:42Speaker 4: for you. But I need to get rid of it
- 1:44Speaker 4: because it's expensive. It's way easier to make sandwiches.
- 1:47Speaker 3: Right.
- 1:47Speaker 1: And that's kind of like the thing. It's like embarrassingly
- 1:49Speaker 1: difficult to get rid of. You know, you know, it's unnecessary.
- 1:52Speaker 4: I've done it like within the hour. I'm like, no,
- 1:54Speaker 4: I'm not doing that. We can find something here.
- 1:56Speaker 3: And then you always, you always fold.
- 1:58Speaker 4: And then I'll be like, yeah, my knee hurts and
- 1:59Speaker 4: I don't know what you guys want you to order, whatever.
- 2:01Speaker 2: Yeah. For me, it would have to be like my vices. Like,
- 2:05Speaker 2: Every now and then I feel like I have to
- 2:08Speaker 2: go get a cocktail.
- 2:09Speaker 4: With my friends.
- 2:10Speaker 1: Like it is a necessity. Not giving that up.
- 2:14Speaker 3: That would be the no set reset. So you'd have
- 2:16Speaker 3: to give that up for 30 days.
- 2:17Speaker 2: I would have to give that up for 30.
- 2:18Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 2:18Speaker 2: It would be like, it would just be like my
- 2:20Speaker 2: habits that like that Zen me out that I really
- 2:22Speaker 2: don't need and are probably really bad for my body anyway.
- 2:25Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 2:25Speaker 1: And I guess to like complete this, people online have
- 2:28Speaker 1: been sharing their challenges, the no spend reset challenges where
- 2:30Speaker 1: they do no buy or low buy things where they
- 2:32Speaker 1: actually go into the place where they feel it's embarrassingly
- 2:36Speaker 1: difficult to get rid of. And they're like, I'm, I'm
- 2:39Speaker 1: kind of like a face your fear thing, but like
- 2:41Speaker 1: a no spend reset thing. Like you go into Starbucks,
- 2:42Speaker 1: but you don't buy anything.
- 2:44Speaker 3: Cleo. Cleo. Good morning. You're on the air.
- 2:49Speaker 6: Hey, how are you?
- 2:51Speaker 7: Hi.
- 2:52Speaker 3: What would yours be? No spend reset.
- 2:55Speaker 6: Mine would be like personalized things. So if I see
- 3:00Speaker 6: a website where I can put my name on it,
- 3:01Speaker 6: I'm done. Like I'm in. I must do it. I
- 3:05Speaker 6: have personalized, like I sign in my room, my Stanley cup.
- 3:09Speaker 6: I have a blanket, key chain, robe, cutting board. It's
- 3:12Speaker 6: truly a ridiculous ornament with my dog's.
- 3:14Speaker 4: Name on it.
- 3:17Speaker 6: Do I need this?
- 3:18Speaker 1: No.
- 3:18Speaker 3: No, you do not.
- 3:20Speaker 4: Like a cutting board would work the same without your
- 3:22Speaker 4: name on it.
- 3:23Speaker 2: But they're cuter when they have your name on it.
- 3:25Speaker 6: True.
- 3:26Speaker 4: So much cuter.
- 3:27Speaker 6: It does it for me. Yes, and personalized things are
- 3:30Speaker 6: so much more expensive, but I love them. I love them,
- 3:34Speaker 6: and I think I would be depressed. if I couldn't
- 3:36Speaker 6: have those things.
- 3:37Speaker 3: Makes sense. That's a good thing. That's a good one.
- 3:39Speaker 1: That is embarrassing.
- 3:40Speaker 5: For me, it's like I relate to you because now
- 3:41Speaker 5: for me, it's like also I buy almost all the
- 3:44Speaker 5: ads I get on Instagram.
- 3:45Speaker 6: Oh, you and my husband.
- 3:46Speaker 3: I buy the shirts, especially shirts.
- 3:48Speaker 1: You know what he bought the other day? And I
- 3:50Speaker 1: was like, are you kidding me? He got an Instagram
- 3:52Speaker 1: ad for, you know how he loves Daisy, our dog.
- 3:54Speaker 1: It's like his best friend in the whole world.
- 3:56Speaker 3: That's his girl.
- 3:57Speaker 1: He literally bought this key chain. It looks like a dog,
- 4:01Speaker 1: but it's empty. And what it's made for is it's
- 4:03Speaker 1: literally you're supposed to put your dog's hair in there
- 4:06Speaker 1: so that when your dog does pass away, you have
- 4:09Speaker 1: a memento of your dog. And I'm like, Daisy's fine. Like,
- 4:12Speaker 1: why did you do that? He's like, I got an
- 4:13Speaker 1: Instagram ad. He's like, I'm just saving it for later.
- 4:16Speaker 3: We could open the phones all day. I've never heard
- 4:19Speaker 3: of that before.
- 4:20Speaker 2: I'm like, is he going to wear Daisy's hair around
- 4:23Speaker 2: his neck?
- 4:25Speaker 1: If you find a tuft of Daisy's hair around the house,
- 4:27Speaker 1: let me know.
- 4:27Speaker 4: I was like, no! Ew!
- 4:31Speaker 2: He's going to just be brushing her out and saving
- 4:34Speaker 2: every piece of hair.
- 4:36Speaker 3: Cleo, thanks for calling in.
- 4:38Speaker 6: Thank you so much.
- 4:40Speaker 4: They say the holy water's watered down.
- 4:47Speaker 5: Hey, we're into no spend reset.
- 4:50Speaker 3: Is that what it's called, Kyle? No spend reset.
- 4:51Speaker 1: That's what's trending online where people are being really picky
- 4:54Speaker 1: about what they're spending their money on. But we wanted
- 4:56Speaker 1: to know what would be embarrassingly difficult to get rid
- 5:00Speaker 1: of if you couldn't buy something for 30 days.
- 5:02Speaker 3: Keith, what about you? What could you give up for
- 5:04Speaker 3: 30 days? No spend reset, Keith.
- 5:07Speaker 7: No spend reset keys. All right, so here's the thing.
- 5:10Speaker 7: I consider myself kind of like a doomsday prepper to
- 5:13Speaker 7: a certain degree. And whenever I go to any of
- 5:16Speaker 7: these like shops or whatever, I always like to buy
- 5:18Speaker 7: those kind of like mini multi-toolkit.
- 5:20Speaker 3: Things that they have, right? Yeah.
- 5:22Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 5:23Speaker 7: I have like, I don't know, 20 of them at
- 5:24Speaker 7: this point. I just, I keep buying them. I don't
- 5:26Speaker 7: know why I keep buying them. I keep thinking to myself, hey,
- 5:29Speaker 7: you never know when you're going to need 14 screwdrivers.
- 5:31Speaker 5: I don't know.
- 5:32Speaker 7: I like them. I keep buying them. I keep giving
- 5:34Speaker 7: them as gifts to friends and stuff like that. But
- 5:36Speaker 7: the funny thing is, Three or four days ago, my
- 5:38Speaker 7: neighbor came over and she just bought a new set
- 5:41Speaker 7: from Ikea and was like, hey, I need a screwdriver.
- 5:43Speaker 7: And none of my mini screwdrivers actually work for them.
- 5:47Speaker 5: None of them work.
- 5:48Speaker 7: And now I'm thinking to myself, I have to go
- 5:50Speaker 7: buy the large mini toolkits now.
- 5:52Speaker 3: Yes, you do.
- 5:52Speaker 4: The large mini toolkits. Let me make you more of
- 5:55Speaker 4: an addict. Have you heard of the Battle Box subscription? No.
- 5:59Speaker 3: What is that?
- 6:00Speaker 4: It's for doomsday preppers. And I used to get this,
- 6:03Speaker 4: but then I've got too many knives. So what it
- 6:05Speaker 4: is is every month they send you like, I don't know,
- 6:07Speaker 4: like a … A thermal blanket, a knife.
- 6:11Speaker 3: They'll send you like- Every month?
- 6:12Speaker 4: Every month. Seems like that's a lot.
- 6:14Speaker 1: But like something different. So they'll send you like food
- 6:16Speaker 1: that lasts for 40 years.
- 6:16Speaker 3: Every month you get a new thermal blanket and a knife.
- 6:19Speaker 4: There's some kind of survival thing. Like they might have
- 6:21Speaker 4: a way for you to like take water from a
- 6:23Speaker 4: lake and make it drinkable.
- 6:24Speaker 1: Or like a solar power charger or something like that.
- 6:27Speaker 3: Like a Boy Scout stuff.
- 6:28Speaker 1: It is.
- 6:29Speaker 4: But it's like it's like really cool stuff. And the
- 6:31Speaker 4: way they get you is they always put one cool
- 6:34Speaker 4: knife in there. And guys, it's like pens and sunglasses.
- 6:37Speaker 4: We dig knives and screwdrivers and that's how they get you.
- 6:39Speaker 4: But you should join on Battlebox.
- 6:42Speaker 3: There you go, Keith.
- 6:43Speaker 4: All right. Perfect.
- 6:44Speaker 3: I need to get that. Thanks. Did you say Battlebox? Battlebox. Daisy,
- 6:49Speaker 3: what about you? No spend reset. What would you give up?
- 6:52Speaker 6: Buying coins and lives on Candy Crush and buying money.
- 7:00Speaker 3: On my pool game. The Candy Crush thing is addicting.
- 7:03Speaker 4: For sure. And for me, for a while, it was
- 7:05Speaker 4: the Monopoly game where you could buy triple your money.
- 7:09Speaker 1: Oh, so that's how you were cheating, Rich.
- 7:12Speaker 2: Thanks for letting everyone know that you were spending your
- 7:15Speaker 2: real cash on your fake cash to steal all my
- 7:17Speaker 2: fake cash.
- 7:19Speaker 3: I remember Peyton being so mad about it.
- 7:23Speaker 6: Oh, I'm still mad.
- 7:25Speaker 4: That was way before I learned how to cheat.
- 7:27Speaker 3: That was shady, man.
- 7:31Speaker 2: Yesterday morning, I woke up and I looked at my
- 7:33Speaker 2: bank and I was down $ 280 million. And I'm like, how.
- 7:37Speaker 1: Does that happen?
- 7:38Speaker 2: And I go to my little notifications and none other
- 7:40Speaker 2: than Rich Barra stole $ 289 million from me.
- 7:44Speaker 3: Is that part of the game stealing?
- 7:46Speaker 2: He had a bank heist and he stole all my money.
- 7:49Speaker 2: Everybody else who steals money from me, they steal like
- 7:51Speaker 2: $ 2 million, $ 4 million. Which is a lot. How did
- 7:55Speaker 2: Rich get $ 289 million of my money, right? So I'm set.
- 7:58Speaker 2: Rich is cheating at this point.
- 8:00Speaker 4: I don't know how he's doing it.
- 8:01Speaker 3: No, not cheating.
- 8:01Speaker 2: But he is absolutely cheating. I don't care if I'm
- 8:03Speaker 2: being a sore loser, but I removed Rich as my
- 8:06Speaker 2: friend on the novel. He's not my friend anymore.
- 8:09Speaker 3: You're just like my children.
- 8:10Speaker 4: I wish I could block you.
- 8:12Speaker 2: I wish I could block you and you could never
- 8:13Speaker 2: request me again. I don't know if you noticed, Richard,
- 8:15Speaker 2: but I'm no longer on your board. You can't steal
- 8:18Speaker 2: money from me anymore. I'm done with you. I genuinely
- 8:21Speaker 2: love you, Rich. I don't want to hate you. And
- 8:23Speaker 2: I will hate you if I continue to be friends
- 8:25Speaker 2: with you on Monopoly.
- 8:26Speaker 3: Does this make you want to play at all, Kyle?
- 8:28Speaker 2: No.
- 8:29Speaker 3: Same here.
- 8:29Speaker 1: Game over.
- 8:31Speaker 4: You're just like my kids. My kids won't play Monopoly
- 8:33Speaker 4: with me anymore. They call me the Slub Lord.
- 8:35Speaker 3: All right, so you said you'd give up. Daisy, you'd
- 8:37Speaker 3: give up.
- 8:37Speaker 1: It would be hard to give up.
- 8:38Speaker 3: Hard to give up Candy Crush for you.
- 8:41Speaker 6: It's a dollar here, a dollar there, but, you know,
- 8:43Speaker 6: I need some lives.
- 8:44Speaker 3: Okay, so the no-spend reset is what's hard to give up, right?
- 8:49Speaker 1: The no-spend reset that's trending is that people are challenging
- 8:53Speaker 1: themselves to stop spending on unnecessary things. But we're asking,
- 8:57Speaker 1: what would be difficult? What would be embarrassingly difficult to
- 9:00Speaker 1: give up for 30 days?
- 9:00Speaker 5: For me, and I just got the bill the other day,
- 9:03Speaker 5: and I didn't realize I was spending this much. So
- 9:05Speaker 5: I get Chachapiti for free. In fact, I think I
- 9:07Speaker 5: was making fun of Rich and Payton because you guys
- 9:08Speaker 5: paid the $ 20 a month.
- 9:09Speaker 3: I do. I paid extra for Grok. And that's like
- 9:13Speaker 3: $ 49 a month. Dang!
- 9:15Speaker 1: That's how Elon's so rich. He's jacking you, bro.
- 9:18Speaker 3: I think rock is so much superior.
- 9:21Speaker 6: Another one that would be kind of embarrassing. I mean,
- 9:23Speaker 6: I spend way too much money on my wrestling hobby. Like,
- 9:27Speaker 6: I have Peacock. I have ESPN. I have Netflix. I
- 9:33Speaker 6: have all of the channels. I also just got YouTube
- 9:35Speaker 6: Premium for no commercials.
- 9:37Speaker 3: Wow.
- 9:37Speaker 6: And then I buy all the new shirts that they
- 9:40Speaker 6: come out with.
- 9:41Speaker 1: I have a $ 500 replica title belt. Oh, that would
- 9:44Speaker 1: be really awesome.
- 9:45Speaker 3: We bow down to you, Daisy.
- 9:46Speaker 7: You win.
- 9:47Speaker 2: Yeah, you win. You win.
- 9:48Speaker 3: Everything she spends money on is unnecessary. It's all right.
- 9:52Speaker 6: Always.
- 9:53Speaker 1: Yeah, say that to my wife.
- 9:54Speaker 3: She'll agree.
- 9:54Speaker 2: Right on, Daisy.
- 9:54Speaker 6: Get after it, girl.
- 9:55Speaker 2: That's funny. Thank you, Daisy.
- 9:56Speaker 4: Thank you.
- 9:56Speaker 3: Guys.
- 9:56Speaker 2: Thanks.
- 9:57Speaker 3: Have a great day.
- 9:58Speaker 2: Bye.
