- 0:03Happy Saturday morning, everybody.
- 0:06All right, we're going to try this.
- 0:08I'm going to try it where I don't repeat myself and I'm
- 0:12faster with my my coffee with Kenny.
- 0:15Yesterday I caught a load of crap because my mom said I went
- 0:20too long. She said one last paragraph,
- 0:23please. All right.
- 0:27So what a what a bitch. I'm sitting here third in the
- 0:30points in one of our biggest races of the year.
- 0:33I'm third in the points and I'm starting front row, front row
- 0:38pole first for a qualifier. But I got to leave for Bristol.
- 0:45Kind of reminds me of of, you know, you're on the pole for the
- 0:49Daytona 500, but you got to leave because you got to go to
- 0:54you got to go on vacation. All right, Well, that's just the
- 0:59way it is. So congratulations to whoever it
- 1:01is. He gets to take my spot tonight.
- 1:03So we're getting ready to leave here.
- 1:06Going to be wheels up at about between 10:00 and 10:30 today
- 1:10headed to Bristol, going to see all of you at 4:00 at the Food
- 1:15City stage right there at the front of the Briston Motor
- 1:18Speedway. And boy, we got some great
- 1:20guests. Bristol Motor Speedway is where
- 1:24Trackside Live came back. That's where we did it.
- 1:29And it was like 5000 people, you know, out there.
- 1:32And all of a sudden Marcus Smith, who owns a Bristol Motor
- 1:36Speedway and Charlotte and Texas and so on and so forth, we just
- 1:41got done with the show and Marcus said, Herman, let's put a
- 1:44deal together. So we verbally put a deal
- 1:47together and we ran down to the media infield center at the
- 1:52Bristol Motor Speedway and we announced that we, I called it
- 1:58NASCAR race Day and I said it's back.
- 2:01And then of course, you know, Marcus came in and talked about
- 2:05it. But so anyway, really proud of
- 2:08we had to switch it to Trackside live because NASCAR on Fox, Fox
- 2:14TV, they're like, hey, we're still using that name.
- 2:18They said we're still using NASCAR race Day.
- 2:23So now we we had to name it Trackside Live.
- 2:26All right, so the other thing on my mind, and I need you all to
- 2:32respond, how about Dale Earnhardt Junior?
- 2:35Last night the story was not Dale Junior running 7th.
- 2:40Now you all, you all might think it was, although, OK, so I raced
- 2:44last night and I worked hard on my race car.
- 2:46But I got home and I went through went through X and the
- 2:51media, everybody at Bristol, it was like a damn party.
- 2:56It was it was like a damn party. And I'm A tag Dale Junior in
- 2:59this. So it was like, and and I mean
- 3:03all love and I mean all good. I'm I'm going to make a little
- 3:05bit of a comedy out of this. It it's like Dale Junior, our
- 3:09fifteen time most popular driver of NASCAR and my and my very
- 3:14close friend. It's like, Oh, I can't see my my
- 3:20glasses fell out in the media during the race.
- 3:24Junior's glasses fell off. He's having a good time.
- 3:26He's going to pit for glasses. Dale Junior going to pit for
- 3:30glasses, everybody. So it, it it was it was a
- 3:34dynamic to where Junior's having fun.
- 3:38Yeah, it feels like the good times.
- 3:41And I thought to myself, what would it be like if we just were
- 3:45like that all the time? But Can you imagine if it was
- 3:49Dale Junior in his prime? Dale Junior's glasses fell off
- 3:52complete devastation. He might miss the the cut in the
- 3:56points. Dale Junior might not make the
- 3:59playoffs. This would kill the sport.
- 4:01Nobody would keep watching. You see what I mean?
- 4:06But last night was like, it was awesome.
- 4:09I loved it. It was like another one.
- 4:14Who was it? Martin Truex's brother, gosh
- 4:19darn it, I have brain fade, but Little Truex, Little Truex said
- 4:24before the race. Me and Junior didn't talk
- 4:27because we knew he was going to have to race each other and I
- 4:30was going to be hard on Junior. I was not going to let him pass.
- 4:34Sure enough, after the race, that was the story.
- 4:38Me and Junior in battle and I wasn't going to let him pass me.
- 4:43You know another one, Shane Bass, SVG.
- 4:49After the race, Junior's so old he couldn't get out of the car.
- 4:53I went over there to help him out.
- 4:55I said, Junior, need help getting out of the car.
- 4:57You're so old now I'm laughing because it was just like this.
- 5:04It was awesome. But the point is this.
- 5:08Can you imagine a time in racing if we all just acted like
- 5:12everybody acted with Dale Junior last night?
- 5:15It was a big love fest. Hey, man, Junior run seven said.
- 5:20Dale Junior said I might do it again.
- 5:24I might. I might do it again.
- 5:25But I'm done. I'm done.
- 5:28And then all of a sudden on X it was like Bob Pop grass.
- 5:32NASCAR Hall of Fame says, say that helmet, say Dale Junior's
- 5:37helmet, because that might be his last NASCAR helmet ever.
- 5:42And we might, we might put it in the Hall of Fame because that
- 5:44was Junior's last helmet. I loved it.
- 5:48I thought it was the greatest damn night in the history of
- 5:52sports. It showed that it it, it
- 5:57literally showed that if you wanted to, if you wanted to, you
- 6:01could have a damn good time. But but people don't know how to
- 6:04have a good time now. But Dale Junior racing last
- 6:08night was an innuendo. It was a look how you could have
- 6:12fun if you wanted to, But just imagine if we took every one of
- 6:17those situations. If if SVG was like old man runs
- 6:23seven couldn't get out, so I had to help him get out of his car.
- 6:26Could you imagine a little true XI held that.
- 6:29I held Junior off. He was trying to get by me.
- 6:32Do you see what I mean? It was just an awesome night.
- 6:35It was an awesome night. Good job, Dale Junior.
- 6:38You saved the sport in some weird way.
- 6:41You're you're so fantastic. You're the complete dynamic of
- 6:45what you do for the sport. It, it made everybody last night
- 6:50feel like the good old days. Everybody was so damn happy.
- 6:55Even me. Hell, I'm running my dirt car
- 6:57and had a little downtime. And so I got on and man, I got,
- 7:00I got involved in it. You know, shit.
- 7:03Will Dale Junior go down the lap?
- 7:05No, he's not going to go down the lap.
- 7:07He come in for glasses, though. Oh, and the best one, and I'll
- 7:10leave you with this after the race, I think it was Jordan
- 7:14Bianchi or, or somebody they're interviewing Dale Junior right
- 7:18after the race and they're like, Dale Junior, you lost your
- 7:23glasses like like like this. And so I'm mimic.
- 7:26I'm like Dale Junior's glasses. It's like, I can't see
- 7:31literally, literally, because, you know, Junior's got his
- 7:33glasses, only got his helmet on. And did you notice that
- 7:37everybody's wearing glasses now? Joey Logano was wearing glasses.
- 7:40You know, at the end of Tony Stewart's career, he was wearing
- 7:43glasses. Everybody's wearing glasses.
- 7:45So much so I'm like, damn, give me a pair of glasses, but I
- 7:49don't need glasses. But my point was at the very
- 7:52end, it was like somebody interviewed Dale Junior after
- 7:57the race and they said, hey, Junior, could you, could you
- 8:00have kept, could you have kept racing without your glasses?
- 8:04And he goes, oh, yeah, come on now.
- 8:05You know, Dale Junior's like, you know, I, I wear these
- 8:08glasses so I can see the gauges, for example, they said, hey,
- 8:13Junior, what's your water temperature?
- 8:14And he goes 200 and something, 'cause I can't see the small
- 8:18numbers. What a great night.
