- 2:40Speaker 1: on this journey. Brand Imagery to Kid. Tonight, I'm gonna
- 2:45Speaker 1: take you behind the scenes of my author brand sharing,
- 2:48Speaker 1: the intentional vision, vision visionals and styling that shapes not
- 2:54Speaker 1: just my books, but the way I want to be,
- 2:58Speaker 1: the way I want you guys top sperience my stories.
- 3:01Speaker 1: So we're talking about everything from book covers, from the
- 3:06Speaker 1: choices of book covers to the color palettes, the reason
- 3:10Speaker 1: why I choose what I choose, unfiltered, filtered, all those things.
- 3:18Speaker 1: That's what we're gonna be talking about. Website, simple, welcoming,
- 3:21Speaker 1: all those things, That's what we're gonna be talking about.
- 3:23Speaker 1: And know that it is all around my brand. That's
- 3:30Speaker 1: what we're gonna be talking about. So thank you for
- 3:32Speaker 1: joining and supporting me on my journey, my vision and
- 3:36Speaker 1: being a part of the E three Experience, Educate, empower
- 3:39Speaker 1: and courage Out Again, we are day seven in the
- 3:42Speaker 1: brand Imagery to kit. Let's take let's take an opportunity
- 3:48Speaker 1: to understand a little bit about what's behind my brand.
- 3:51Speaker 1: So when it comes to imagery around my books and
- 3:54Speaker 1: my author brand, I've chosen the approach of balance of
- 3:58Speaker 1: personal connection with such as a timeless elegance my book covers.
- 4:04Speaker 1: Each one of my book covers is uniquely designed to
- 4:08Speaker 1: reflect the story or message inside, rather than sticking to
- 4:12Speaker 1: a particular palette or a repeated visual I like the
- 4:19Speaker 1: title and the content, the god, the design. It helps
- 4:24Speaker 1: keep my book fresh and authentic in its own spirit.
- 4:29Speaker 1: I don't so per se have a color palette, but
- 4:33Speaker 1: if you look closely at my work overall, you'll notice
- 4:36Speaker 1: that I often navigate and gravitate towards two colors, and
- 4:40Speaker 1: that purple, the deep purple, and the old goal. To me,
- 4:46Speaker 1: these shades have always represented class and royalty. It is
- 4:51Speaker 1: a sublant way of reminding the readers of the dignity
- 4:56Speaker 1: and value in every story I share, and that no
- 5:02Speaker 1: matter what the subject is, I want them to realize
- 5:06Speaker 1: the dignity and value in every story. As far as
- 5:11Speaker 1: my author's photo and pictures, I try to use photos
- 5:17Speaker 1: that keeps things real and relatable. You won't find heavy
- 5:24Speaker 1: filters or dramatic edits on any of my pictures. You're
- 5:30Speaker 1: gonna find what you see is what you get, because
- 5:34Speaker 1: I want my readers and supporters to see the authentic
- 5:37Speaker 1: person behind these words. I believe in true connections, and
- 5:42Speaker 1: it starts with being honest, so I want people to
- 5:45Speaker 1: see this. As far as my logos and website, while
- 5:52Speaker 1: I don't use a highly stylized logo, it's it's usually simplicity,
- 6:00Speaker 1: my initials and sometimes my full name. You may see
- 6:05Speaker 1: q OC in some of the things, and that stands
- 6:09Speaker 1: for Queen Up Collaborations, But most of the time you're
- 6:12Speaker 1: gonna see my full name. You may see Queen Angela
- 6:15Speaker 1: or Queen Up Collaborations. But other than that, I'm simple,
- 6:21Speaker 1: my and and it's all authentic. I want to create
- 6:24Speaker 1: an authentic ye that that's what I strive for. My
- 6:28Speaker 1: website is likewise, it's the same. If you go over
- 6:31Speaker 1: to my website, you'll see that it's it's it's clarity, unaccessible,
- 6:37Speaker 1: is cut and dry, it's it's it's not the whole
- 6:41Speaker 1: lot of elaborate schemes to it. It's just simple simplicity.
- 6:46Speaker 1: And to the point I want to be invited. I
- 6:49Speaker 1: want people to not have to be boggle with complications
- 6:55Speaker 1: trying to navigate through anything that I do. So that
- 6:59Speaker 1: that's simplicity. It's one of the main things. What is
- 7:04Speaker 1: the meaning behind my choices? So all of the visual
- 7:07Speaker 1: decisions that I have, it flows from a single goal
- 7:12Speaker 1: of being authentic and making connections. Whether it's the color
- 7:17Speaker 1: or the hint of quiet reality of the photos or whatever.
- 7:24Speaker 1: That can present me as real as I can be.
- 7:28Speaker 1: I want my audience to know that they can see
- 7:31Speaker 1: and respect that. I want my audience to know that
- 7:35Speaker 1: they can see the natural meat, and I want to
- 7:38Speaker 1: connect with the natural them, and I want them to
- 7:41Speaker 1: know that it's not about me, but it's about me
- 7:44Speaker 1: being able to connect with them, to let them know
- 7:48Speaker 1: that I see them and I respect them. And my
- 7:50Speaker 1: brand isn't about perfection, but it is about being genuine
- 7:54Speaker 1: and welcoming to every reader. I want them to know
- 7:58Speaker 1: that I love them and I appreciate them just as
- 8:02Speaker 1: they are, and I hope that they will receive and
- 8:05Speaker 1: appreciate me just as I am. So again, y'all, that
- 8:11Speaker 1: is the gist of my brand. You know, it's not
- 8:13Speaker 1: a whole, drone out, long, detailed project because that this
- 8:18Speaker 1: is me. I'm simple, I'm genuine, I'm authentic, and I'm
- 8:23Speaker 1: trying to be to the point. So ask yourself this,
- 8:29Speaker 1: what what are some elements that you look for when
- 8:32Speaker 1: you want to support an author's brand or what makes
- 8:36Speaker 1: you want to feel connected to the books that you
- 8:39Speaker 1: pick up and read, like, what connects you to what
- 8:43Speaker 1: you are connected to? That's what we want to know,
- 8:47Speaker 1: So before I wrap up, I want to thank everyone
- 8:52Speaker 1: from the bottom of my heart for being a part
- 8:53Speaker 1: of these last seven days. Y'all. We have reflected, we've grown,
- 8:59Speaker 1: and we're just getting started. So tonight, y'all, I want
