  Speaker 1: verse eight, and we're gonna talk about the assignment. Our

  Speaker 1: assignment is clear. We are called to be a witness.

  Speaker 1: The assignment is clear. He's calling every one of us
• 5:22
  Speaker 1: believers that is, to be a witness for him. So

  Speaker 1: let's open it up in prayer. Heavenly Father, we ask
• 5:30
  Speaker 1: for your presence, your grace, your power, your love, your
• 5:34
  Speaker 1: anointing to be on this episode and to be with

  Speaker 1: us every time we come together over these airwhight waves.

  Speaker 1: Father God, we know that time and distance is nothing

  Speaker 1: it says, but you shall receive power and the Holy

  Speaker 1: Spirit has come upon you, and you shall be witnesses

  Speaker 1: to me. Amen. So power. We can't do this on
• 6:38
  Speaker 1: our own right. God wants to give us power. We
• 6:42
  Speaker 1: need to receive power Now notice that word witness. It's
• 6:50
  Speaker 1: a courtroom term. Witnesses testify. They don't make the rules
• 6:59
  Speaker 1: and they don't carry the case. The Holy Spirit gives
• 7:04
  Speaker 1: us the boldness and the clarity to share what Jesus
• 7:09
  Speaker 1: has done in our lives. Let me say that again.
• 7:13
  Speaker 1: The Holy Spirit will give us that boldness, hallelujah, and
• 7:19
  Speaker 1: the clarity to share. And that's all we need to
• 7:24
  Speaker 1: do is share what Jesus has done for us. And
• 7:30
  Speaker 1: we need to share with our neighbors, our family members,
• 7:32
  Speaker 1: our loved ones. If Jesus has done a work in
• 7:34
  Speaker 1: your life, you need to share that. Now, have you
• 7:44
  Speaker 1: confused witnessing with convincing? Let me say that again. Have
• 7:53
  Speaker 1: you confused being a witness with trying to convince people?
• 8:01
  Speaker 1: We got to allow God to do the drawing. All
• 8:05
  Speaker 1: you have to do is do the sharing. And I've
• 8:09
  Speaker 1: been guilty of that. I've gotten into conversations, they turned
• 8:13
  Speaker 1: into debates, They've turned into arguments, and I've spent a
• 8:20
  Speaker 1: lot of time with individuals that have no heart, no
• 8:26
  Speaker 1: intention in receiving the Lord. They only wanted to argue
• 8:30
  Speaker 1: their point. They only wanted to convince me of their
• 8:36
  Speaker 1: position against Christ or against the Bible or whatever it
• 8:42
  Speaker 1: may be. How many times have you heard you can't
• 8:45
  Speaker 1: trust the Bible? Man wrote the Bible man has changed
• 8:48
  Speaker 1: the Bible. How can we trust? You know? How can
• 8:50
  Speaker 1: we trust anything the Bible says? You know? How can
• 8:53
  Speaker 1: we trust? You know? We're not here to prove anything, right,
• 8:58
  Speaker 1: I've heard it said before. The word of God is
• 9:01
  Speaker 1: like a lion in the cage. All you have to
• 9:03
  Speaker 1: do is open the cage and the lion will do
• 9:06
  Speaker 1: his bisness, you know what I'm saying. And so we're
• 9:12
  Speaker 1: just called to witness. We're just called to say, hey,
• 9:16
  Speaker 1: what God has done for us. And it's up to
• 9:19
  Speaker 1: them if they receive that witness or not. But here's
• 9:25
  Speaker 1: the thing. If we don't witness, their blood is on
• 9:31
  Speaker 1: our hands. And let's talk about that. In Ezekiel chapter three,
• 9:36
  Speaker 1: verse eighteen and nineteen. Ezekiel chapter three, verse eighteen and
• 9:43
  Speaker 1: nineteen is the next scripture, and it says, when I
• 9:52
  Speaker 1: say into the wicked, thou shalt surely die. If thou
• 9:57
  Speaker 1: givest him not warning, his blood, I will require at
• 10:04
  Speaker 1: your hand. Now that is a huge responsibility, right, that's
• 10:11
  Speaker 1: a huge responsibility. Now, Yes, even though there's verses in
• 10:15
  Speaker 1: the Old Testament, Jesus still calls us to be a
• 10:19
  Speaker 1: witness in the New Testament. Now we all know that
• 10:25
  Speaker 1: the wages of sin is death. We know that judgment
• 10:28
  Speaker 1: is coming up on the wicked. God has already established that.
• 10:34
  Speaker 1: But that is deep. This is real deep, y'all. That's
• 10:39
  Speaker 1: why I'm glad we're going over this, because when God
• 10:43
  Speaker 1: gives you an assignment, especially when it comes to share
• 10:48
  Speaker 1: the truth and you don't, is deep. It's not neutral.
• 10:58
  Speaker 1: You're not being neutral, You're not being nice, You're not
• 11:01
  Speaker 1: just sitting on the sidelines. No, there's accountability to this.
• 11:08
  Speaker 1: You're accountable not for how they responded to you. He
• 11:14
  Speaker 1: doesn't hold you accountable for that, but for whether you
• 11:19
  Speaker 1: opened your mouth or not. That's what God is gonna
• 11:24
  Speaker 1: hold us accountable for. Did you just stay silent and
• 11:30
  Speaker 1: just allowed the slaughter to happen, allow this person to
• 11:35
  Speaker 1: walk straight to hell, and you did nothing to stop them,
• 11:40
  Speaker 1: nothing to hinder them, nothing to get in their way. Now,
• 11:48
  Speaker 1: I have a personal story with this. There's been people
• 11:54
  Speaker 1: that I've worked with over the years and I've interacted with. Now,
• 12:01
  Speaker 1: of course this is the his Hot Radio podcast, but
• 12:07
  Speaker 1: this ministry started with a Christian hip hop club and
• 12:11
  Speaker 1: we called it Club His Hot, and we became fairly
• 12:17
  Speaker 1: known in the city of Las Vegas. Uh, we were
• 12:21
  Speaker 1: known around the world. People from around the world would
• 12:24
  Speaker 1: travel to come and minister and perform and come to
• 12:27
  Speaker 1: the club. But there was a little controversy with some
• 12:34
  Speaker 1: of the people that I worked around about the club.
• 12:40
  Speaker 1: But there was this young young dude, he was like
• 12:43
  Speaker 1: thirty years old, very young, that was there, and he
• 12:51
  Speaker 1: actually ended up, uh getting sick and passing away. Now,
• 12:59
  Speaker 1: the people knew I was a Christian, you know, they
• 13:03
  Speaker 1: saw me reading my Bible. They knew about what I did.
• 13:10
  Speaker 1: But I was struggling because, Okay, I didn't confront him
• 13:18
  Speaker 1: like with their strong witness like I wanted to. And
• 13:23
  Speaker 1: he even asked one of the persons there, Now, let
• 13:28
  Speaker 1: me kind of give you another background to this. There
• 13:31
  Speaker 1: were people in my department that were from other religions.
• 13:36
  Speaker 1: There was a moment in a Jehovah's witness and so
• 13:40
  Speaker 1: he was asking because I don't know if he knew
• 13:43
  Speaker 1: he was gonna die. I didn't know what was going on,
• 13:45
  Speaker 1: but he just asked a question, like, how do I
• 13:48
  Speaker 1: go to heaven. How do I get into heaven? But
• 13:50
  Speaker 1: he asked, this other gentleman that didn't walk with the Lord,
• 13:55
  Speaker 1: you know, didn't really understand it himself. And so he said, well,
• 14:00
  Speaker 1: why are you asking me? You should be asking you know,
• 14:03
  Speaker 1: He pointed over to me, said you should be asking him.
• 14:07
  Speaker 1: And I was excited to dive into it and give
• 14:11
  Speaker 1: this person the word right, give them the truth. But
• 14:14
  Speaker 1: I was blocked by the Mormon guy. The Mormon guy
• 14:21
  Speaker 1: just stepped right in and he blocked me. And instead
• 14:26
  Speaker 1: of getting because I've talked to this guy numerous the times,
• 14:30
  Speaker 1: and you know, everyone else, you know, they pretty much know,
• 14:33
  Speaker 1: like I don't make it a secret. They know I'm
• 14:37
  Speaker 1: a Christian. They know what I stand for. Now I didn't,
• 14:44
  Speaker 1: you know, I didn't. I didn't want to get to
• 14:47
  Speaker 1: a debate because I knew it was serious. I didn't
• 14:49
  Speaker 1: want to cast my pearls before swine. So I wrote
• 14:53
  Speaker 1: down a couple of scriptures that were just on my heart.
• 14:55
  Speaker 1: I just wrote down a few scriptures and I gave
• 14:58
  Speaker 1: him to him. I say, go home, search she's up
• 15:04
  Speaker 1: and tomorrow morning because I would get there early before
• 15:07
  Speaker 1: everyone else, and he would get there early and a
• 15:10
  Speaker 1: lot of times it would just be him and myself
• 15:13
  Speaker 1: in the shop. So I was excited, right, I'm thinking
• 15:17
  Speaker 1: he's gonna look these scriptures up. I'm thinking he's sincere
• 15:20
  Speaker 1: and serious about the question, right, and I'm ready to
• 15:24
  Speaker 1: dive into it. I'm ready to explain it and get
• 15:27
  Speaker 1: this guy saved. Right. So next day comes, I'm sitting
• 15:32
  Speaker 1: in my chair and I just can't wait for him
• 15:34
  Speaker 1: to come in. As soon as he comes to the door,
• 15:38
  Speaker 1: I ask him, Hey, did you look up the scripture,
• 15:42
  Speaker 1: thinking that we're getting ready to have this discussion, and
• 15:46
  Speaker 1: he just walks past me and says no and sits down,
• 15:51
  Speaker 1: and so that window was closed. Like I was like, oh, okay,
• 15:54
  Speaker 1: he didn't look it up. I guess he wasn't serious.
• 15:58
  Speaker 1: I mean, I know I could have pushed it. I
• 16:02
  Speaker 1: I wish I would have pushed it, because the next
• 16:07
  Speaker 1: day he didn't come to work. The next thing, you know,
• 16:11
  Speaker 1: he passed away. A couple of days later, he met God.
• 16:19
  Speaker 1: And I struggled with that for years. I mean, I
• 16:25
  Speaker 1: don't know what happened in the final moments of his life.
• 16:28
  Speaker 1: Hopefully he went to heaven, hopefully, but God has a
• 16:35
  Speaker 1: way of letting me know things. God has a way
• 16:38
  Speaker 1: of telling me things, and in my heart, I believe
• 16:42
  Speaker 1: that he didn't make it. But I am not the
• 16:45
  Speaker 1: judge at all. But I'm just saying how things work.
• 16:50
  Speaker 1: Some people go and some people don't. We gotta look
• 16:52
  Speaker 1: at reality. We gotta look at what the Word tells us.
• 16:56
  Speaker 1: There is a place called hell, and people are going
• 17:00
  Speaker 1: there if they don't get saved. And so I went
• 17:09
  Speaker 1: to his funeral out of respect. And over the years
• 17:13
  Speaker 1: I would beat myself up, like, oh man, how did
• 17:16
  Speaker 1: I let this soul just slip through my fingers? But
• 17:20
  Speaker 1: come to realize, like I was the witness the whole time.
• 17:23
  Speaker 1: Maybe I didn't get up and preach. Maybe I didn't
• 17:27
  Speaker 1: get in his face, maybe I didn't throw the stuff
• 17:30
  Speaker 1: the Bible down his throat. I didn't do all those things.
• 17:33
  Speaker 1: But I was the light and I still am the light,
• 17:40
  Speaker 1: just for the super fact that God has changed my
• 17:42
  Speaker 1: life and God is continuously changing my life and professing
• 17:47
  Speaker 1: that I'm a follower of Christ, that is at least
• 17:51
  Speaker 1: enough light to be a witness. I didn't hide it
• 17:55
  Speaker 1: under the bushel. And so this episode actually helps me
• 18:04
  Speaker 1: to understand that we're not responsible for their response. But
• 18:10
  Speaker 1: we're only responsible to be that witness. Amen. Now let's
• 18:16
  Speaker 1: look at salvation is God's work and not ours. God's
• 18:24
  Speaker 1: work and not ours. Actually, no, let me go. I
• 18:34
  Speaker 1: didn't finish that point. Let's go back to the simple
• 18:39
  Speaker 1: fact that we are supposed to open our mouth and
• 18:42
  Speaker 1: be a witness because he's a scripture.
• 18:44
  Speaker 2: I just.

  Speaker 1: Don't want to go over too fast and Acts chapter
• 18:49
  Speaker 1: twenty verse twenty six. Acts Chapter twenty verse twenty six.

  Speaker 1: It says, I am pure from the blood of all men,
• 18:59
  Speaker 1: for I have no not shunned to declare unto you
• 19:03
  Speaker 1: all the counsel of God. Now this is the apostle
• 19:06
  Speaker 1: Paul right, he said he's clear from the blood of
• 19:09
  Speaker 1: all men. And this is in the New Testament. You see,
• 19:15
  Speaker 1: Paul did his part. Then that's all God asked of him.
• 19:21
  Speaker 1: Do your part and rest, just do your part. I mean,
• 19:25
  Speaker 1: I know, I know. Especially when you witness the people,
• 19:28
  Speaker 1: you bring them to the Word, you try to get
• 19:31
  Speaker 1: them to understand the things of God, and people just
• 19:35
  Speaker 1: still go their own way and go back to a
• 19:38
  Speaker 1: life of sin, and hopefully they'll get it right so
• 19:43
  Speaker 1: they don't go ahead and go to hell. I mean,
• 19:45
  Speaker 1: it's heartbreaking, but you can rest and the fact that
• 19:52
  Speaker 1: you did your part. Now, salvation is God's work, not ours. Now.
• 19:57
  Speaker 1: This is in John chapter six, verse forty four. The
• 20:02
  Speaker 1: Gospel of John chapter six, verse forty four says, no
• 20:08
  Speaker 1: man can come to me accept the Father which has
• 20:13
  Speaker 1: drawn him. Let me read this again, no man can
• 20:18
  Speaker 1: come to me accept the Father which has sent me
• 20:21
  Speaker 1: draw him. So God has to draw us. God has
• 20:26
  Speaker 1: to draw the people to salvation. We cannot manipulate anyone
• 20:32
  Speaker 1: into the kingdom. No slick argument is gonna help, No
• 20:39
  Speaker 1: guilt trip. Just love. Love is the only thing, the
• 20:45
  Speaker 1: only weapon we have to use. Truth and the Holy
• 20:49
  Speaker 1: Spirit's power. These are the only weapons that we have
• 20:55
  Speaker 1: to try to save and win a soul. We cannot
• 20:59
  Speaker 1: save anybody, right, God says, The Bible says, owe no
• 21:05
  Speaker 1: men nothing but to love them. I owe love to
• 21:09
  Speaker 1: each and every person that I encounter. Amen. Now let's
• 21:15
  Speaker 1: go to Romans chapter ten, verse thirteen through fifteen. Romans
• 21:19
  Speaker 1: ten thirteen through fifteen. How shall they believe in him
• 21:24
  Speaker 1: of whom they have not heard? And how shall they
• 21:28
  Speaker 1: hear without a preacher? Right? How shall they believe in him?
• 21:36
  Speaker 1: They've not heard of him. How can they believe in
• 21:39
  Speaker 1: Jesus if they never heard about them? And how can
• 21:43
  Speaker 1: they hear if no one is said, if there's no
• 21:47
  Speaker 1: one preaching, Our role is partnership with God and not pressure.
• 22:00
  Speaker 1: Only to partner with God and partner with Holy Spirit.
• 22:03
  Speaker 1: Now here's another thing that I want to talk about too.

  Speaker 1: I want to talk about discipleship because, yeah, and maybe
• 22:12
  Speaker 1: possible that we are strong witnessers. Right. I've been a
• 22:17
  Speaker 1: witness witness over the years, and I've seen people get saved,
• 22:21
  Speaker 1: people have been touched through my ministry. I've seen people
• 22:26
  Speaker 1: directly receive the Lord after I've witnessed and spoke to them.
• 22:32
  Speaker 1: But then after they get saved, they need to be disciples. Now.
• 22:38
  Speaker 1: In Matthew chapter eight twenty eight, verse nineteen and twenty,
• 22:43
  Speaker 1: the Bible says, go ye therefore, and teach all nations.
• 22:48
  Speaker 1: It's our call to teach. But we're not supposed to
• 22:53
  Speaker 1: control the people. It says, teach all nations. If they
• 22:57
  Speaker 1: walk away from discipleship doesn't mean that you failed. It
• 23:02
  Speaker 1: doesn't mean that. I feel the Holy Spirit must spark
• 23:07
  Speaker 1: true hunger in their hearts. The Holy Spirit has to
• 23:12
  Speaker 1: give them that passion, that hunger they cannot be quenched.
• 23:18
  Speaker 1: Our role is just to be ready, to be patient
• 23:24
  Speaker 1: and to be full of grace. Amen. You gotta be ready,
• 23:31
  Speaker 1: be patient and full of grace. So when they're ready
• 23:34
  Speaker 1: to be discipled. And a lot of people they think
• 23:37
  Speaker 1: it's freedom to rebel against this, they think it's freedom
• 23:41
  Speaker 1: to do their own thing. I'm not gonna submit to you.
• 23:44
  Speaker 1: I'm not gonna you know. Like I said, our role
• 23:47
  Speaker 1: is not We don't control people. But discipleship is God's idea,
• 23:52
  Speaker 1: this God's program. We all need that mentor, we all
• 23:57
  Speaker 1: need that process. It's a life for life life. Amen.

  Speaker 1: And we needed to someone. We need to find someone
• 24:04
  Speaker 1: who believes and lives out the word. Now, I have
• 24:12
  Speaker 1: a question, who have you given up on? Let me
• 24:20
  Speaker 1: ask that question again? Who have you given up on?

  Speaker 1: Is God calling you to reach out again and once again,
• 24:32
  Speaker 1: not to fix them, but to be faithful? Let me
• 24:40
  Speaker 1: ask you again, is God calling you to reach out again?
• 24:45
  Speaker 1: It's not our job to fix people, but it's our
• 24:50
  Speaker 1: job just to be faithful, to be that faithful witness,
• 24:55
  Speaker 1: to be able to bless them, to teach them and
• 24:59
  Speaker 1: to touch them. Amen. You see nobody is forced to
• 25:08
  Speaker 1: serve God. Nobody is forced even and go to heaven.
• 25:12
  Speaker 1: Nobody is forced to join our ministry, join our organization,
• 25:15
  Speaker 1: or join our church. No one should be manipulated into that.
• 25:20
  Speaker 1: No one should be forced into that. It has to
• 25:26
  Speaker 1: be a work of God. It has to be a
• 25:28
  Speaker 1: work of the Holy Spirit. All we need to do
• 25:35
  Speaker 1: is to prepare ourselves to be ready, to be able
• 25:43
  Speaker 1: to teach them and to be able to be that
• 25:45
  Speaker 1: witness to our community. And so how do we prepare ourselves.
