- 0:00Speaker 1: The following program is produced by the tech Talk Radio Network.
- 0:03Speaker 2: Hey, this is Mike Nelson from Mystery Science Theater and
- 0:06Speaker 2: rifftracks dot com and you're listening to the greatest show
- 0:09Speaker 2: on the planet, tech Talk Radio.
- 0:12Speaker 3: Welcome to another episode of tech Talk Radio. I'm Andy Taylor,
- 0:15Speaker 3: I'm Sean de Weird, and I'm Justin len Me. Welcome, Welcome,
- 0:19Speaker 3: and it's the Well, it's the last show before Christmas.
- 0:22Speaker 1: Are you guys excited about it?
- 0:24Speaker 4: No? I finally put lights on the tree.
- 0:28Speaker 2: You know.
- 0:29Speaker 3: I was so inspired by Justin doing the lights. I
- 0:33Speaker 3: thought that's it this year, I'm gonna do lights, and I.
- 0:37Speaker 1: Just never did it.
- 0:38Speaker 3: I was told I can't climb up on the ladder
- 0:40Speaker 3: because Laria fears that she'll come home and I'll be
- 0:42Speaker 3: on the ground.
- 0:43Speaker 2: Well, that's why I hired somebody to do it. I
- 0:45Speaker 2: don't get on ladders either.
- 0:46Speaker 1: Yours ended up coming up pretty good and you don't
- 0:48Speaker 1: have to take them down.
- 0:49Speaker 2: No. I love them the end Brighton Eternity lights. I
- 0:52Speaker 2: got them from Costco that it was like one hundred
- 0:55Speaker 2: and sixty bucks for one hundred lights and I got
- 0:57Speaker 2: two strings, so two hundreds, you know, a little over
- 1:01Speaker 2: three hundred and then I paid. It's about three hundred
- 1:04Speaker 2: dollars four hundred dollars.
- 1:05Speaker 1: Did it take a lot to have the long for
- 1:07Speaker 1: him to install them?
- 1:08Speaker 2: No, the dude was like super super fast. I mean
- 1:11Speaker 2: he he said, he does this like almost every day,
- 1:13Speaker 2: you know. So, I mean he's a painter by trade,
- 1:16Speaker 2: so he's already already always up on ladders. I think
- 1:18Speaker 2: the whole thing took him like two and a half hours.
- 1:20Speaker 1: Amazing, Wow to do all of them. Wow. Now, and Sean,
- 1:24Speaker 1: you got the lights up on the street. What kind
- 1:25Speaker 1: did you do? The flashing lights?
- 1:27Speaker 2: And yeah, so.
- 1:28Speaker 4: We just have you know, it's like a thirty foot
- 1:31Speaker 4: string of led you know, the little narrow LEDs, and
- 1:35Speaker 4: then a shorter string of the c nine bulbs which
- 1:39Speaker 4: are the bigger ones. And uh, I spent a little
- 1:42Speaker 4: bit of times a day. I had to replace a
- 1:44Speaker 4: couple of bulbs, and then I had to just bypass
- 1:47Speaker 4: a couple because they didn't have any new ones. And
- 1:50Speaker 4: so I just plist the wires together and made it work.
- 1:52Speaker 1: Now do you have do you have cats?
- 1:53Speaker 4: No? No, I have two toddlers.
- 1:55Speaker 1: Oh yeah, it's even worse.
- 2:00Speaker 2: Yeah, I have the one cat, but he's too old.
- 2:03Speaker 2: He doesn't really care.
- 2:04Speaker 1: He won't climb in the tree and you know the stuff.
- 2:08Speaker 2: Now, he just looks at it and goes. So I'm going
- 2:09Speaker 2: back to bed.
- 2:10Speaker 3: It happens to us all. Will we get to that
- 2:11Speaker 3: certain age? Oh, there is a lot to talk about
- 2:14Speaker 3: when it comes to tech, of course. One of the
- 2:15Speaker 3: biggest stories this week has been the drones over the
- 2:19Speaker 3: East Coast, and it just it doesn't stop. Is this
- 2:22Speaker 3: really something? I keep thinking that'll come on, guys, it's
- 2:25Speaker 3: not drones.
- 2:27Speaker 2: Okay, So weird going on.
- 2:29Speaker 4: There is so much misinformation about this story out there.
- 2:33Speaker 4: It's out of control. If anybody, if anybody with a brain,
- 2:37Speaker 4: goes and looks at some of these pictures, you can
- 2:39Speaker 4: clearly tell their helicopters some of them, no, not not
- 2:43Speaker 4: all of them. Right, there are drones flying around a Jersey.
- 2:47Speaker 4: There a pictures. There are also a picture. There are people.
- 2:51Speaker 4: Let me finish, there are clear identifiable pictures with tail
- 2:56Speaker 4: numbers that have been public record identified as helliccupt that
- 3:00Speaker 4: people are claiming as drones. So I'm just putting it
- 3:02Speaker 4: out there that people are taking pictures with their phones
- 3:06Speaker 4: zoomed way in. Oh. Look it's a drone. It's got
- 3:09Speaker 4: red and green lights. Now it's a helicopter. It's there. Yes,
- 3:14Speaker 4: there are drones flying around a Jersey. People are concerned
- 3:17Speaker 4: because they're out at all times of the day and
- 3:19Speaker 4: at night. But some people are claiming that there there's
- 3:23Speaker 4: five thousand reports a day or something they're getting now
- 3:25Speaker 4: about drones they're coming in.
- 3:27Speaker 3: I've been cautious about wanting to fly my drone even
- 3:30Speaker 3: you know, at the radio station to take take a
- 3:32Speaker 3: look at the property because if one of the neighbors
- 3:35Speaker 3: might either shoot it down or they're gonna you know,
- 3:38Speaker 3: complain and next day and I have to deal with
- 3:40Speaker 3: some kind of agency coming to the station wondering what's
- 3:43Speaker 3: going on.
- 3:44Speaker 4: So much specification, there's there's theories about they're they're scanning
- 3:47Speaker 4: for missing radioactive material there, it's there, it's China, it's
- 3:53Speaker 4: you know, there's a company that is in the New
- 3:55Speaker 4: York Bay area that is using ammonia as they're renewed
- 3:59Speaker 4: or not renewable, but an alternative fuel for drones that's
- 4:02Speaker 4: been flying them and they've confiscated drones from them. So
- 4:05Speaker 4: there's all these articles and it's nobody knows what's going on.
- 4:09Speaker 4: So there are mysterious drones happening, right, but you can't
- 4:13Speaker 4: just everybody's in a panic saying, oh my god, it's China.
- 4:17Speaker 4: Oh my god, they're they're churching for radioactive material.
- 4:20Speaker 3: Like justin now, I know you were, you were kind
- 4:23Speaker 3: of going down this way, and I'm thinking the size
- 4:26Speaker 3: of the drugs. We're not talking about DGI many threes
- 4:29Speaker 3: or many fours or our vadas. We're talking about, from
- 4:33Speaker 3: what I understand, the full drone. There's a difference between
- 4:37Speaker 3: the military drones and the consumer drones that we could
- 4:40Speaker 3: go by.
- 4:41Speaker 2: Yeah, they're definitely not consumer drones. But I just I'm sorry,
- 4:44Speaker 2: but I want to chime in here with what Sean
- 4:47Speaker 2: was mentioning about misinformation. I would like to get an
- 4:51Speaker 2: explanation on some things I've been following along with this
- 4:54Speaker 2: story a lot as well. One, why were there let's
- 4:57Speaker 2: just call them UFOs because we don't know what they
- 4:59Speaker 2: are right now, Okay, Why were there UFOs flying over
- 5:02Speaker 2: the US capital, the most restricted airspace in the world,
- 5:05Speaker 2: and the military was doing nothing about it? Two? Why
- 5:08Speaker 2: are there videos of these floating orbs not a drone?
- 5:12Speaker 2: An orb And maybe it's because of the focus, but
- 5:16Speaker 2: why is it that an orb is floating and then
- 5:18Speaker 2: you see a drone another drone come up to it
- 5:21Speaker 2: and then just get knocked out of the sky and
- 5:22Speaker 2: falls down to the ground. Three. Why why are these
- 5:27Speaker 2: orbs these orbs that people are filming? Why does that
- 5:30Speaker 2: show is as what looks like a like an orb
- 5:33Speaker 2: that is emitting light and then all of a sudden,
- 5:35Speaker 2: as it gets a little bit closer, it switches and
- 5:38Speaker 2: then it turns into what looks like a drone with
- 5:39Speaker 2: its actual flashing lights. The camera never moves, the camera
- 5:43Speaker 2: never shakes. The camera's following these things, these orbs. As
- 5:46Speaker 2: soon as it gets a little bit closer, it just
- 5:48Speaker 2: immediately not like a focus thing. It immediately changes into
- 5:53Speaker 2: red and green flashing.
- 5:54Speaker 1: Where where did you see this stuff? This is all over.
- 5:56Speaker 2: Reddit, dude. There's there's so much going on in Reddit
- 5:59Speaker 2: right now that I've been following on this, especially with
- 6:02Speaker 2: these UFOs flying over the Capitol Building, the US Capitol Building.
- 6:07Speaker 2: They were people were showing really good quality videos of
- 6:10Speaker 2: this and they were like these orbs flying right above
- 6:13Speaker 2: the US Capital and then they would show They're like no, no,
- 6:16Speaker 2: this is not this is not a helicopter because look
- 6:18Speaker 2: over here, and he would pan over and say that's
- 6:20Speaker 2: a helicopter, and you could see the helicopter moving. These
- 6:22Speaker 2: things were literally floating mid air, not moving right over
- 6:26Speaker 2: the Capitol Building and the big Well. They can't tell
- 6:30Speaker 2: because they're they're too far away. But these things were
- 6:32Speaker 2: floating orbs. They were not flashing lights. They were just
- 6:35Speaker 2: floating orbs. And then on top of that, like I said,
- 6:38Speaker 2: with with the ones that are were getting up close,
- 6:40Speaker 2: you would see videos of other drones approaching these orbs
- 6:44Speaker 2: and then all of a sudden, you see the orb.
- 6:46Speaker 2: You see the other drone just fall out of the sky.
- 6:48Speaker 3: Well, okay, so couldn't an or I'll call it an
- 6:52Speaker 3: orb be a reflection of light on a.
- 6:56Speaker 1: Material that is hitting up.
- 6:58Speaker 2: I mean anything true.
- 7:00Speaker 1: I've looked at my gas.
- 7:02Speaker 4: We're going back to swamp gas. I mean, but there
- 7:06Speaker 4: are some I'm not like, I feel like Justin is
- 7:09Speaker 4: saying like I'm not claiming there's drones, Like, I'm not
- 7:12Speaker 4: saying that right, there are clearly there are things that
- 7:17Speaker 4: are unexplained UFOs. There are clearly identifiable pictures that people
- 7:21Speaker 4: are saying this is a drone. Reddit is all over it.
- 7:23Speaker 2: Read it is readit, identifying.
- 7:25Speaker 4: It as with public available information. That there's tail numbers
- 7:29Speaker 4: for helicopters for some of these, not all of.
- 7:31Speaker 2: Them, some of these. And and the fact the biggest thing,
- 7:34Speaker 2: the biggest one, the biggest red flag that I can
- 7:36Speaker 2: see so far, is the one that is these things
- 7:39Speaker 2: flying about the US Capitol. This is the most restrictive
- 7:42Speaker 2: airspace in the world. Well, they have nothing.
- 7:45Speaker 3: They have a battery, they have area, a battery on
- 7:48Speaker 3: top of the Capitol building.
- 7:49Speaker 2: No, no, no, this is not nothing attached to the
- 7:52Speaker 2: Capitol around the Capitol.
- 7:55Speaker 1: They have a battery and armament battery.
- 7:57Speaker 2: Then they're not doing anything about it. And then and
- 8:00Speaker 2: and then there was that one that they found they
- 8:02Speaker 2: had the report of the one that went down, and
- 8:04Speaker 2: I think it was in New jerseystenntyl Vania. Yes, And
- 8:07Speaker 2: then the immediately the FBI stepped into the local law
- 8:10Speaker 2: enforcement and gave the local LA enforcement instructions, do not
- 8:14Speaker 2: approach this, get a bomb squad, and your radios may
- 8:18Speaker 2: not work in the vicinity of this down this down
- 8:21Speaker 2: aircraft or whatever it is. Why would the FBI immediately
- 8:24Speaker 2: jump in and tell them, do not approach this thing
- 8:27Speaker 2: and get a swat team and a bomb squad ready,
- 8:30Speaker 2: like why just in case, I mean, let's face it,
- 8:32Speaker 2: and they don't know, they're not saying anything. A drone
- 8:35Speaker 2: could be loaded with material that could be used in warfare, sure,
- 8:41Speaker 2: but then why would your radios not work near it?
- 8:43Speaker 1: Radiation?
- 8:44Speaker 2: Okay? Then fine? If it even is truly from this
- 8:48Speaker 2: earth and whatever it is, then why what is going on?
- 8:50Speaker 2: Why is the military not say anything?
- 8:52Speaker 3: The first time I heard of this, and you know,
- 8:54Speaker 3: it started a couple of stories people talking about it,
- 8:57Speaker 3: and I will I will allude to the fact that
- 9:00Speaker 3: that right away, I thought, uh, it's Elon because number one,
- 9:04Speaker 3: the the you know, we know that starlink goes up
- 9:07Speaker 3: satellites dispersed and usually they go in a line. There
- 9:11Speaker 3: could be a row a row of lights, and people
- 9:13Speaker 3: may mistake that for some kind of a drone.
- 9:16Speaker 1: Situation, right, And that's what I thought.
- 9:18Speaker 3: And then I are this like wicked story about drones
- 9:23Speaker 3: flying over a navy base, a naval base, you know,
- 9:27Speaker 3: off the east coast, and they thought that maybe they
- 9:30Speaker 3: were controlled by you know, foreign government, and you know,
- 9:34Speaker 3: I don't know the only thing I could think of
- 9:36Speaker 3: is this is gonna affect the fact that we're set
- 9:38Speaker 3: and I are not gonna be able to fly our
- 9:40Speaker 3: drones anymore. Either that or you know they're gonna they're
- 9:43Speaker 3: gonna request tail numbers on everything.
- 9:46Speaker 2: Well that's another thing too, is I was recently thinking
- 9:48Speaker 2: about this. I was like, Wow, I can't even go
- 9:49Speaker 2: and fly my drone because I might get shot down. Yeah,
- 9:52Speaker 2: because everybody's on everybody's on high edge right now, so
- 9:54Speaker 2: I don't.
- 9:54Speaker 4: Oh yeah, it's it's like I said, it's nobody knows
- 9:57Speaker 4: what's going on. There's a lot of weird videos coming
- 10:01Speaker 4: in in the age of technology where things are I'm
- 10:04Speaker 4: not trying to be the conspiracy theorist here's sake, it's
- 10:07Speaker 4: all faked again. Airplanes, helicopters, legally used drones flying in
- 10:13Speaker 4: some spaces. Right, you have to nod over actor in
- 10:16Speaker 4: it's Kham's razor.
- 10:17Speaker 2: Right, It's like it's aliens, bro, that's the orbs. Oh yeah,
- 10:22Speaker 2: I would love to believe it would be aliens. I
- 10:25Speaker 2: would love to believe it's aliens that are actually trying
- 10:27Speaker 2: to communicate with us and saying, hey, we're here, we
- 10:30Speaker 2: want to talk to you. We can't figure out how
- 10:31Speaker 2: to do it. You know, people, Those are some of
- 10:34Speaker 2: the conspiracy theories on Reddit. I'll be honest. I read
- 10:36Speaker 2: about these things saying that, oh, yeah, they're orbs, but
- 10:38Speaker 2: once people look at them, they they shape shift into
- 10:42Speaker 2: something that we're familiar with, and that would be a
- 10:44Speaker 2: drone with the flashing lights with the FAA approved lighting patterns.
- 10:47Speaker 2: And I'm like, Okay, that's a little bit weird. But
- 10:50Speaker 2: then but watching the video of the ORB floating, a
- 10:54Speaker 2: drone approaching and then just immediately dropping out of the
- 10:57Speaker 2: sky and the ORB didn't even get phased, I was.
- 10:59Speaker 3: Like, I want to believe, you know, to a certain
- 11:02Speaker 3: extent of certain things. However, I've been not in my
- 11:05Speaker 3: old age and in my knowledge of what AI can produce,
- 11:11Speaker 3: I know that it could be faked. And I'm like,
- 11:14Speaker 3: like I said, I don't want to be the one
- 11:15Speaker 3: that is it. No, it's not real, it's not real.
- 11:17Speaker 3: Then something happens. You remember Independence Day, Like I'm kind
- 11:20Speaker 3: of thinking, all right, justin you would have been the
- 11:22Speaker 3: guy on the roof with the sign holding it up.
- 11:24Speaker 2: Let's make it welcome.
- 11:26Speaker 1: Yeah, then you get blown away. But I you know,
- 11:28Speaker 1: I just kind of wonder, you know, maybe we're going
- 11:31Speaker 1: too fast. Everything's happening so quick. That is it?
- 11:34Speaker 2: Really?
- 11:35Speaker 1: Is this situation? Really?
- 11:36Speaker 3: I would love to get our listeners thoughts too. You
- 11:38Speaker 3: can feel free to drop his line. We may share
- 11:40Speaker 3: it again. Tech guys at tech talk Radio.
- 11:43Speaker 4: Get weird if we're if we're gonna take you listener
- 11:46Speaker 4: questions about UFOs.
- 11:48Speaker 1: Yeah, this is this.
- 11:49Speaker 2: Is weird Bell Coast to Coast, baby, this.
- 11:54Speaker 4: Is this is the Aliens show. This is it?
- 11:57Speaker 2: Yeah, well you know that that exactly what it could be.
- 11:59Speaker 2: Belle was still live. God, he would have a field
- 12:02Speaker 2: day with this. There's a lot of unexplained things going on.
- 12:05Speaker 2: Even today. I was literally watching News Nation just for
- 12:08Speaker 2: a little bit during the day just to kind of
- 12:10Speaker 2: see what was going on. And they were holding a
- 12:12Speaker 2: press conference with a two star general at the Pentagon
- 12:15Speaker 2: and they were asking questions and this guy was dodging
- 12:18Speaker 2: things left and right right, and it was just so odd,
- 12:23Speaker 2: like the way that this person was just kind of
- 12:25Speaker 2: shifting around and looking uncomfortable. It's like you know something,
- 12:29Speaker 2: you know something is going on, but you won't tell us.
- 12:32Speaker 3: Well, are here's something to think about and Sean, you
- 12:35Speaker 3: may be able to feel this one in a drone,
- 12:38Speaker 3: I know that you know, my Dji can fly for
- 12:41Speaker 3: maybe I think what forty five minutes on a charge.
- 12:45Speaker 3: Can some of these drones that are used for broadcasts,
- 12:48Speaker 3: like the one that they believe they found today. I
- 12:51Speaker 3: mean that's a massive drone. They're very expensive. We're talking
- 12:54Speaker 3: twenty or thirty thousand dollars. Can those fly extended range?
- 12:58Speaker 4: The larger the row, the larger the payload, Right, So
- 13:02Speaker 4: the larger bat, larger of a battery you can put in,
- 13:04Speaker 4: the larger controls, so you can put in and yeah,
- 13:08Speaker 4: you could. Anybody could make a drone that's going to
- 13:12Speaker 4: be up in the air for an hour to two
- 13:14Speaker 4: hours at a time.
- 13:15Speaker 2: Right.
- 13:15Speaker 4: It's and some of these that they're they're claiming to
- 13:17Speaker 4: have have identified or have been looking at, are a
- 13:20Speaker 4: five foot wingspan. Like nobody knows what's going on is
- 13:23Speaker 4: there's amateur video everywhere about this. I'm not as impressed
- 13:27Speaker 4: with the quality of the amateur video as I hope
- 13:31Speaker 4: to be. I feel like we're going back to the
- 13:32Speaker 4: Sasquatch days and the you know, the the UFO settings
- 13:36Speaker 4: where it's like you're not really sure what you're looking at,
- 13:39Speaker 4: a blow around the lens or whatever. But some of
- 13:41Speaker 4: it is interesting. It's interesting to look at, it's interesting
- 13:44Speaker 4: to see it.
- 13:45Speaker 2: So think is just fake.
- 13:47Speaker 4: I don't think it's alf fake. I think there are
- 13:49Speaker 4: actually drones flying. There are millions million, There are millions
- 13:54Speaker 4: in the US.
- 13:55Speaker 2: Millions are required to have now the FAA's rules that
- 13:59Speaker 2: all drones are require to have that they radio broadcast
- 14:03Speaker 2: their identification. Why is nobody able to detect any of
- 14:06Speaker 2: these things? And nothing is showing up on any of
- 14:08Speaker 2: these apps that can scan for this stuff if.
- 14:10Speaker 1: They're flying over the Capitol justin they don't want to
- 14:13Speaker 1: get fied.
- 14:14Speaker 2: No, no, I mean anywhere anywhere. Nobody is able to
- 14:16Speaker 2: find any information about any drones in the sky at
- 14:19Speaker 2: any given time.
- 14:21Speaker 4: But yeah, okay, if I go and buy a consumer drone,
- 14:25Speaker 4: it's gonna get locked out GEO fenced because it's you know,
- 14:28Speaker 4: it knows where I'm at. Well, it doesn't take a
- 14:31Speaker 4: genius to go build their own drone without a GPS
- 14:35Speaker 4: GEO fence, Like you could build it without a without
- 14:38Speaker 4: a GPS part of it.
- 14:39Speaker 2: So you're talking about building a drone the size of
- 14:41Speaker 2: an suv as a hobby.
- 14:43Speaker 4: There are companies that build them for agriculture, there are
- 14:46Speaker 4: companies that build them for for for gis, and.
- 14:49Speaker 2: Thousands of those thousands of those that they're just gonna
- 14:52Speaker 2: randomly put up into the sky in front of the
- 14:54Speaker 2: Capitol building.
- 14:55Speaker 3: Hey, there is a guy that set a world record
- 14:57Speaker 3: this year for attaching clothes pins to his face one
- 15:01Speaker 3: hundred and sixty six. If you if you build it,
- 15:04Speaker 3: they will be there. So you know, maybe that this
- 15:06Speaker 3: is the whole thing, you know, is somebody build a
- 15:09Speaker 3: big old drone and make people think it's ufosh, you know, I.
- 15:12Speaker 2: Mean, I get I get one, I get one, but
- 15:14Speaker 2: not thousands, and and they're not happening in just over
- 15:16Speaker 2: one area. They're happening in the UK, They're happening in
- 15:18Speaker 2: the Netherlands, They're happening in Australia, they're happening in Japan.
- 15:22Speaker 2: They're happening on the East coast, West Coast of America.
- 15:25Speaker 2: I mean, they're happening all over these places. What the
- 15:27Speaker 2: hell is going on? Right?
- 15:29Speaker 3: Kind of wonder could this change legislation though? For those
- 15:32Speaker 3: of us that want to have a drone.
- 15:35Speaker 4: Percent this is gonna that there are several high ranking
- 15:39Speaker 4: officials that are already pointing fingers at China. There are
- 15:42Speaker 4: several people's pointing fingers at they are China is usually
- 15:46Speaker 4: underscand for radio active material that has gone missing. Of
- 15:50Speaker 4: course it is right.
- 15:50Speaker 2: Well, they did say there was radioactive material the what
- 15:54Speaker 2: was it the governor, governor or mayor of New Jersey,
- 15:56Speaker 2: mayor of somewhere in New Jersey or governor said that
- 15:58Speaker 2: there were was was radioactive material that went missing on
- 16:01Speaker 2: December second of this year. But people are like, Okay,
- 16:03Speaker 2: that doesn't explain it because these drones started showing up
- 16:05Speaker 2: on November eighteenth, so so so that doesn't make any sense.
- 16:09Speaker 3: Oh, that's kind of trippy. I didn't know about that.
- 16:13Speaker 3: How do you lose radioactive stuff?
- 16:14Speaker 1: Oh?
- 16:15Speaker 3: I remember it's the guys that were delivering it for
- 16:17Speaker 3: Doc Brown and the the Larean.
- 16:20Speaker 2: The Libyans, right, the Libyans, yep, yep. And I do
- 16:24Speaker 2: mean that in the sense of the actual movie. Okay,
- 16:27Speaker 2: I'm not talking about I'm not trying to be you
- 16:28Speaker 2: know whatever, the movie Back to the Future. The Libyans
- 16:31Speaker 2: member the one that went down that that first report
- 16:34Speaker 2: of the one that went down in New Jersey. The people,
- 16:37Speaker 2: now again this is all here says, but yeah, they
- 16:40Speaker 2: were saying that when the one went down, ten other
- 16:43Speaker 2: drones showed up right around it, like they all kind
- 16:47Speaker 2: of came together and were like floating around the area
- 16:50Speaker 2: that the one went down. And it's like, okay, there's
- 16:53Speaker 2: no video proof of that, so I can't yeah, I
- 16:56Speaker 2: can't say that. But people were saying this, and I
- 16:58Speaker 2: was like, Okay, that would be interesting because why why
- 17:00Speaker 2: would that happen. People were saying, well, it could have
- 17:02Speaker 2: been a part of a mesh network. You know, these
- 17:04Speaker 2: all these drones could be part of a mesh network,
- 17:06Speaker 2: and the one that went down, all the other ones
- 17:08Speaker 2: lost their connection to the mesh so they all had
- 17:10Speaker 2: to go back to the last known location of where
- 17:13Speaker 2: that drone went down to re establish communication with the
- 17:16Speaker 2: Mesh network. And I'm like, okay, that makes sense.
- 17:19Speaker 1: Here's an honest question.
- 17:20Speaker 3: And you mentioned reddit as being a a site where
- 17:23Speaker 3: you may be able to find some of this stuff.
- 17:25Speaker 1: Why isn't the media sharing this then?
- 17:29Speaker 2: If that's the media first off, doesn't know anything.
- 17:32Speaker 3: Well, you know, why is it that Reddit is is
- 17:35Speaker 3: such the you know trailblazer on this and why not
- 17:38Speaker 3: Fox News or New.
- 17:39Speaker 2: Max or Newsmax or CBS News Nation or whatever. Yeah,
- 17:43Speaker 2: I mean some of them are talking a little bit
- 17:45Speaker 2: about it, but the part of it is they don't
- 17:47Speaker 2: have credible information to go off of. Now. Mind you,
- 17:52Speaker 2: the media, the mainstream media is not very credible, and
- 17:55Speaker 2: we've all been aware of that for the past few years.
- 17:58Speaker 2: The mainstream media is not very credible, but they still
- 18:00Speaker 2: try to hold up to a little bit of a standard.
- 18:03Speaker 2: And it's like, look, we're not just going to go
- 18:05Speaker 2: off of what people on Reddit say. Okay, they need
- 18:08Speaker 2: a little bit more than that. So I think that's
- 18:10Speaker 2: why the mainstream media is not talking about this now. Also,
- 18:13Speaker 2: flip the coin reddit is very much of a conspiracy
- 18:17Speaker 2: theory platform too, like certain subreddits. Y. Yeah, so you
- 18:20Speaker 2: got to take everything with a grain of salt. But
- 18:22Speaker 2: the fact that it has gotten to the point now
- 18:24Speaker 2: where mainstream media is asking questions saying what is this
- 18:29Speaker 2: and they're asking the government what is going on? And
- 18:32Speaker 2: the Government's like, I don't know what you're talking about,
- 18:35Speaker 2: Like that's a little weird.
- 18:37Speaker 1: Let me ask you.
- 18:38Speaker 3: With the technology we have today, Sean, maybe you know
- 18:41Speaker 3: this one. I have a small remote controlled spitfire you
- 18:45Speaker 3: know from World War Two. It's very small and I
- 18:48Speaker 3: can't fly it worth anything. Could somebody fit assessed no
- 18:52Speaker 3: One or a piper cub because I've heard this has
- 18:57Speaker 3: been described as a piper cub. Could they fit this
- 19:00Speaker 3: with automation technology to fly like a drone but it
- 19:04Speaker 3: being an actual aircraft, which of course then would give
- 19:07Speaker 3: you more flight time and more range.
- 19:10Speaker 4: You got to think how much of autopilot stuff there
- 19:12Speaker 4: is now? I mean, anybody with the means could do it.
- 19:15Speaker 4: Anybody with the Yeah, somebody could do that. But to
- 19:21Speaker 4: Justin's defense about this, right, like the videos that you're seeing,
- 19:26Speaker 4: you can't fly a Cessna like that. You can't fly
- 19:28Speaker 4: a pepper club like that right now, these videos you're
- 19:32Speaker 4: seeing the.
- 19:34Speaker 2: Way, yeah there.
- 19:35Speaker 4: So this is either one ginormous elaborate prank that somebody's pulling.
- 19:42Speaker 2: That's what I'm hoping it is, yeah, or.
- 19:46Speaker 4: The government's not say anything because something serious.
- 19:48Speaker 2: Is going on, right Yeah, I mean I would I said,
- 19:51Speaker 2: you know it's aliens.
- 19:53Speaker 3: Yeah, oh man, all right, well we'll have to kind
- 19:57Speaker 3: of keep an eye on that one for sure. Either way,
- 20:00Speaker 3: we would love to get your thoughts on this. Feel
- 20:02Speaker 3: free to drop us a line tech guys at tech
- 20:04Speaker 3: talk radio dot com.
- 20:05Speaker 1: We're gonna take a quick break. We come back.
- 20:08Speaker 3: A decision was made justin we'll share us the information
- 20:12Speaker 3: about that coming up.
- 20:13Speaker 2: I'm Andy Taylor, I'm Scully, and I'm Moulder and you
- 20:18Speaker 2: can find us on x files dot com. All I'm sorry,
- 20:21Speaker 2: no opt wunk show tech talk radio dot com.
- 20:23Speaker 1: We were back and now back to tech talk radio.
- 20:27Speaker 2: So we talked was it last week, week before or
- 20:30Speaker 2: something like that. I was talking about the issues with
- 20:32Speaker 2: the car. Oh yeah, yeah, Well we went ahead and
- 20:35Speaker 2: pulled the trigger.
- 20:36Speaker 3: Oh all right, so we know that you have a
- 20:39Speaker 3: Tesla and you had a Ford Explorer, and you had
- 20:44Speaker 3: the Tesla for quite a while and he suddenly what now.
- 20:48Speaker 1: Why did you end up getting a new one?
- 20:49Speaker 2: What was the deal? Well, it was it was so yeah,
- 20:53Speaker 2: it was the the Tesla we've had for over a
- 20:55Speaker 2: little bit over a year and where and we kept
- 20:57Speaker 2: that it was the Explore And it's a twenty seventeen
- 21:02Speaker 2: four Explorer. Really nice, I mean it's really good looking.
- 21:05Speaker 2: I mean everything looks really nice and neat and new.
- 21:08Speaker 2: But it's the head unit, the radio head unit, was
- 21:11Speaker 2: starting to show some issues where it would just never
- 21:16Speaker 2: keep all the settings, so every single time I would
- 21:20Speaker 2: get into the vehicle, it would ask me to do
- 21:21Speaker 2: the whole setup process again. And talking to some people,
- 21:24Speaker 2: it's like, Yo, this is a failing head unit and
- 21:27Speaker 2: it's going to be about one thousand dollars. Now, if
- 21:29Speaker 2: it was just simply a radio, it wouldn't be a
- 21:31Speaker 2: big deal. But this thing controls the climate, it controls
- 21:34Speaker 2: the GPS, it controls all the other settings, I mean everything,
- 21:37Speaker 2: So it's not just a radio. And I already knew
- 21:40Speaker 2: that I was only going to keep the car for
- 21:43Speaker 2: maybe another year or so, so I decided, well, maybe
- 21:47Speaker 2: it's now time to get rid of the car before
- 21:48Speaker 2: the head unit completely fails. So we went ahead and
- 21:53Speaker 2: did it. What I did was we went and bought
- 21:57Speaker 2: a twenty twenty five Toyota Camry x L eight, which
- 22:03Speaker 2: is not quite the top of the line but like
- 22:05Speaker 2: one below the top of the line for the Toyota cameras,
- 22:08Speaker 2: and then we traded in the Explorer towards that. And
- 22:12Speaker 2: this is a hybrid vehicle, right, It is a hybrid,
- 22:14Speaker 2: not a plug in hybrid, but it is a standard
- 22:16Speaker 2: hybrid so I've been driving. I've been driving the Toyota
- 22:20Speaker 2: Camera for the last few days.
- 22:21Speaker 4: Now.
- 22:22Speaker 2: I'm just trying to get myself familiar with the vehicle
- 22:25Speaker 2: before I hand it over to Mysa, because Mysa will
- 22:27Speaker 2: be the primary driver of the camera and I will
- 22:30Speaker 2: take over the Tesla as my primary vehicle. Now. The
- 22:33Speaker 2: reason behind that is because I told her, I said
- 22:35Speaker 2: I wanted to get another Tesla, and she's like, no,
- 22:38Speaker 2: we're gonna have one gas car one electric, and I said, well,
- 22:41Speaker 2: I want the electric because I really like the Tesla.
- 22:44Speaker 2: So she's like, fine, you take the Tesla and I
- 22:46Speaker 2: get a new car. And I was like, okay, So,
- 22:49Speaker 2: but I'm really liking this Camray. I mean it is
- 22:52Speaker 2: it is so smooth. The drive on it is just
- 22:56Speaker 2: so just I can't there's no other word to describe.
- 22:59Speaker 1: It is so smooth, right all right.
- 23:02Speaker 2: The suspension, the handling, the acceleration, the features on it.
- 23:06Speaker 2: I mean, everything about this car is just so awesome.
- 23:10Speaker 3: One of the things justin though, like and I have
- 23:12Speaker 3: looked at cars because Gloria has been driving the same
- 23:15Speaker 3: one since two thousand and one, and you know, one
- 23:19Speaker 3: of the things that I thought about mine is twenty
- 23:21Speaker 3: eleven is the package, the entertainment. And I know that
- 23:27Speaker 3: seems silly. Most people say, no, you gotta look at
- 23:29Speaker 3: your drive, you gotta look at the range, you gotta
- 23:32Speaker 3: look at all these other factors. But honestly, let's face it,
- 23:35Speaker 3: what do you have on your dashboard is gonna make
- 23:38Speaker 3: that trip a little more enjoyable.
- 23:40Speaker 2: So absolutely, yeah. I mean when I was looking at
- 23:43Speaker 2: these things, you know, first off, you know, I was
- 23:45Speaker 2: asking her what kind of car do you want? Because
- 23:46Speaker 2: we had all the options in the world, and she's like, well,
- 23:49Speaker 2: I don't want an suv, but I want all wheel
- 23:51Speaker 2: drive and I want a big screen. And I'm like, okay,
- 23:54Speaker 2: well that narrows you down to either a Toyota Camera
- 23:57Speaker 2: or a Volvo. And she's like, vol those nice, but
- 24:00Speaker 2: it's way too expensive. So you know, it kind of
- 24:02Speaker 2: basically ended up the Toide Camera. The Toide Camera comes
- 24:05Speaker 2: with a really nice entertainment package. The Xle comes with
- 24:08Speaker 2: a twelve point three inch screen, touch screen infotainment system.
- 24:14Speaker 2: It's got you know, HD radio, it's got serious XM,
- 24:17Speaker 2: it has h Android Auto, Apple car Play, it's got
- 24:22Speaker 2: a wireless both of them. Actually, it's got the h
- 24:26Speaker 2: you know, backup cameras. Actually it's got it's got full
- 24:29Speaker 2: surrounding cameras, which is really cool. They they I think
- 24:32Speaker 2: Toyota actually took a little bit of inspiration from Tesla
- 24:36Speaker 2: because they have full surround cameras that watch around the
- 24:41Speaker 2: entire vehicle. They have lane departure warning, not not warning,
- 24:45Speaker 2: but assistance, so when you're in cruise control mode, it
- 24:48Speaker 2: will actually keep you in the lane no matter what.
- 24:50Speaker 2: So it's just like the Tesla does. Wow, You've got
- 24:54Speaker 2: parking cameras that will You've got cameras down below the
- 24:58Speaker 2: bumper to watch down below. It makes sure you're not
- 25:00Speaker 2: hitting anything and if you if you happen to be
- 25:03Speaker 2: pulling close to something, that camera will switch and show
- 25:05Speaker 2: you what is close to you at that moment. So,
- 25:08Speaker 2: I mean, it's just it's just so cool. And it's
- 25:11Speaker 2: got a panoramic moon roof that that is a full panoramic.
- 25:15Speaker 2: The entire top of the car is a moon roof
- 25:18Speaker 2: that actually retracks opens up.
- 25:20Speaker 1: Now, does it have in car navigation or is it
- 25:23Speaker 1: gonna be through your Android or.
- 25:25Speaker 2: It does have in car navigation. It's got SOS ability
- 25:28Speaker 2: to you know, like basically nine to one one for
- 25:30Speaker 2: collision automatic, uh that kind of stuff. It's got remote start.
- 25:33Speaker 2: It has an app where you can keep track of
- 25:35Speaker 2: the location, you can start it remotely, you can flash
- 25:38Speaker 2: your lights. It does not have a built in century
- 25:41Speaker 2: mode like the Tesla where it records you know, video,
- 25:44Speaker 2: but you know, it does have cameras all the way around.
- 25:47Speaker 2: But yeah, it just doesn't record the video. But other
- 25:50Speaker 2: than that, I mean, it is it is an amazing car.
- 25:53Speaker 2: And then everybody knows, you know, Toyota, Toyota's last forever. Yeah,
- 25:57Speaker 2: but but the but the but what's changed about that though?
- 26:00Speaker 2: Is that not just with Toyota, It's almost with all
- 26:03Speaker 2: auto manufacturers. It's not about the mechanical part of the
- 26:09Speaker 2: car anymore. Now. People used to say Toyota's last forever
- 26:11Speaker 2: because the mechanical is just so good. These cars are
- 26:14Speaker 2: every car, Volvo, Mazda, Hyundai, Toyota, Lexus, whatever, They're all
- 26:20Speaker 2: just rolling computers. So your car is truly only as
- 26:24Speaker 2: good as your computer system that's inside the car.
- 26:27Speaker 3: So true, So we want to see how that goes.
- 26:29Speaker 3: Oh man, that's pretty good pricing. Was it a pretty
- 26:32Speaker 3: good deal?
- 26:33Speaker 2: Yeah? I think I think sticker was forty three. We
- 26:35Speaker 2: got them down to thirty nine, and honestly, you know,
- 26:38Speaker 2: I was really impressed. I went to a dealership. They
- 26:41Speaker 2: were like, look, I don't know when the last time
- 26:43Speaker 2: you were at a regular dealership was. But a lot
- 26:45Speaker 2: of dealerships nowadays don't do commission. We don't do haggling.
- 26:49Speaker 2: This is the best price, and we show you we're
- 26:51Speaker 2: very transparent what we paid for the car, what we
- 26:54Speaker 2: intend to make on the car, because obviously we're a
- 26:58Speaker 2: business and we have to make a profit. So here's
- 27:00Speaker 2: the best price we can give you take it or
- 27:02Speaker 2: leave it. And there's no haggling, and it's just like boom,
- 27:05Speaker 2: here's your price. This is it.
- 27:07Speaker 1: That's pretty good.
- 27:08Speaker 3: And again you're right they they those cars are built
- 27:10Speaker 3: pretty good. I think we've all known somebody the I
- 27:14Speaker 3: had a I had a camera as well. It was
- 27:17Speaker 3: my when my mom passed, I needed a car because
- 27:19Speaker 3: the engine on mine went out. So I drove or
- 27:21Speaker 3: I flew to Honeting the beach and drove the car home.
- 27:23Speaker 3: And I used that for a long time until some
- 27:25Speaker 3: yeah who hit me on the freeway and then it
- 27:27Speaker 3: burned up in that fire in the auto shop.
- 27:30Speaker 2: So, oh, yeah, that that was the one that I
- 27:32Speaker 2: had to YEA, yeah.
- 27:33Speaker 1: Show that one.
- 27:34Speaker 2: I mean yeah, I mean, Toyota's are really good vehicles.
- 27:37Speaker 2: I'm I'm impressed. I look forward to it. I mean,
- 27:39Speaker 2: obviously it's gonna be Mesa's primary car, but we are
- 27:42Speaker 2: going to go back and forth. You know, She'll take
- 27:43Speaker 2: the Tesla one of the days and I'll take the
- 27:45Speaker 2: camera or whatever, so but primarily I'll have the Tesla.
- 27:48Speaker 2: And speaking of that, immediately after we did this, I
- 27:51Speaker 2: went ahead and just bought all kinds of accessories for
- 27:54Speaker 2: the Tesla nice. I mean I got I got wheel
- 27:57Speaker 2: covers to hide the scratches on the rim. I got
- 28:01Speaker 2: a full full interior LED light kit. I got a
- 28:05Speaker 2: USB charging doc that fits into the center console tray.
- 28:10Speaker 2: I got a carbon fiber spoiler, a carbon fiber dash.
- 28:14Speaker 2: I mean, I just went nuts. I bought all kinds
- 28:15Speaker 2: of stuff. And She's like, can you just keep the
- 28:18Speaker 2: Tesla like standard? And I'm like, nope, all.
- 28:21Speaker 1: Right, here's a question for you. This is good, all right?
- 28:23Speaker 3: In a household that has a gas vehicle and a
- 28:27Speaker 3: electric vehicle, you go to South Dakota quite a bit,
- 28:31Speaker 3: visit your Mom, Yeah, would you be taking the gas
- 28:35Speaker 3: vehicle for convenience or have you found it to be
- 28:39Speaker 3: just as convenient to be able to go in the electric?
- 28:41Speaker 2: So last Thanksgiving, not this one that just happened with
- 28:45Speaker 2: Last Thanksgiving, we took the Tesla and we found that
- 28:48Speaker 2: a normally five and a half hour drive turned into
- 28:51Speaker 2: about seven hours because we did have to stop in
- 28:53Speaker 2: charge three times, which wasn't a big deal. It was
- 28:57Speaker 2: give us a chance to get up, stretch her legs
- 29:00Speaker 2: around for a little bit. Each time was about thirty minutes.
- 29:04Speaker 2: This year we took the Ford Explore and honestly it
- 29:09Speaker 2: was about six hour drives, So you're talking about an
- 29:12Speaker 2: hour difference between, you know, what I had with the
- 29:15Speaker 2: Explorer and then with the Tesla. In terms of the
- 29:21Speaker 2: the Tesla, I really honestly like the self driving. It's
- 29:25Speaker 2: not we didn't actually have the self full self driving,
- 29:28Speaker 2: but we did have the enhanced autopilot, which would basically
- 29:31Speaker 2: just follow your path for you if you were on navigation,
- 29:34Speaker 2: and it would keep you in the lane and it
- 29:36Speaker 2: would watch for you. I really like that feature. So
- 29:40Speaker 2: I would say I really like the Tesla on long
- 29:43Speaker 2: road trips because of that it helps with the fatigue. However, obviously,
- 29:48Speaker 2: convenience is being able to just pull into a gas
- 29:50Speaker 2: station three minutes later, have your gas tank fold up,
- 29:53Speaker 2: and you're back on the road.
- 29:54Speaker 3: Yeah, that's that's what I would think would be that.
- 29:57Speaker 3: But people are telling me no, the electrics, they've been
- 30:00Speaker 3: pretty comfortable with those. And again, there are enough charging
- 30:03Speaker 3: stations throughout the country now that you're not going to
- 30:06Speaker 3: run into an issue at least.
- 30:07Speaker 2: Yeah, for the most part. Yeah, absolutely, Sean, What do
- 30:10Speaker 2: you drive?
- 30:10Speaker 4: I have a twenty seventeen Chevy Colorado and Caitlyn drives
- 30:14Speaker 4: a twenty twenty three Rev four Toyota Rev four. She
- 30:19Speaker 4: had she had a Prius, a Toyota Prius from twenty
- 30:24Speaker 4: twelve until it got totaled in winter of early winter
- 30:30Speaker 4: of twenty twenty two. What happened She got t boned
- 30:33Speaker 4: at a four way stole. Ou Yeah, I loved that
- 30:36Speaker 4: PRIs the Prius. You know, everybody gave a lot of
- 30:41Speaker 4: grief to Prius. Right, there's no guts, you know, it
- 30:44Speaker 4: just takes forever to accelerate river that car, especially in
- 30:48Speaker 4: the winter time. It was just for a wheel drive.
- 30:50Speaker 4: But if you put decent snow tires on it. That
- 30:53Speaker 4: car drove fantastic. It got amazing gas mile I was
- 30:56Speaker 4: like forty eight to fifty on the highway, forty to
- 31:00Speaker 4: forty five in the city. We drove it all over
- 31:04Speaker 4: the country. We were looking at like, what did we
- 31:07Speaker 4: want to get after it got totaled, and Caitlin wanted
- 31:10Speaker 4: to get a small suv. So we looked at the
- 31:12Speaker 4: you know, the Honda pilots. We looked at the crvs.
- 31:16Speaker 4: She looked at the Mazda c X five. She looked
- 31:19Speaker 4: at a couple, you know, the Super Forrester, a couple
- 31:21Speaker 4: of other things, but she ultimately settled on another Toyota
- 31:24Speaker 4: with the raft Wour, which the raft war is also
- 31:27Speaker 4: an incredible vehicle drive.
- 31:28Speaker 3: Well, we have a listener question, so let's go ahead
- 31:30Speaker 3: and hit that right now. This is from David here
- 31:33Speaker 3: in Celarita. A quick question for you guys. My neighbor
- 31:36Speaker 3: is on a fixed income and asked me the other
- 31:39Speaker 3: day if he could piggyback on my wif Fi. Now,
- 31:42Speaker 3: I was surprised he knew that we had Wi Fi,
- 31:44Speaker 3: but said that our name was the identifier. I guess
- 31:48Speaker 3: they named their WiFi the family name he said, should
- 31:52Speaker 3: I change that? And are there risks assuring my WI
- 31:55Speaker 3: Fi with my neighbor again?
- 31:59Speaker 4: Don't So I would say, don't ever share your WiFi
- 32:03Speaker 4: with anybody you don't immediately your immediate family, right. And
- 32:06Speaker 4: some people can say, oh, just activate the guest network,
- 32:08Speaker 4: And no, that's two consumer grade routers are so perceptible
- 32:14Speaker 4: to Tomfoolery and Shanigan's it's not even worth activating the
- 32:19Speaker 4: guest network.
- 32:20Speaker 3: And this time the neighbor might be upstanding, but anybody
- 32:24Speaker 3: that's able to get into his system could then utilize
- 32:27Speaker 3: it for their benefit.
- 32:28Speaker 2: Correct, Well, yeah, I mean but.
- 32:31Speaker 4: Okay, so you give your neighbor your password. Well, now
- 32:34Speaker 4: your neighbor gives his grandkid the password. Well, his grandkid
- 32:37Speaker 4: gives his two friends the password. Those two friends give
- 32:40Speaker 4: their two friends the password. Right now, they're now they're
- 32:43Speaker 4: over reasonably bandwidth for a Halo Land party.
- 32:45Speaker 2: Yeah, and and not only that, but just think about
- 32:48Speaker 2: you know, your your neighbor. What if they're not upstanding citizens.
- 32:51Speaker 2: What if they're out there browsing stuff that is illegal
- 32:55Speaker 2: on the internet, or what if they're downloading you know,
- 32:57Speaker 2: movies are not or yeah, or even worse, what if
- 33:02Speaker 2: they're downloading these movies in stuff like, you know, pirating movies.
- 33:06Speaker 2: Who's going to get the letter from from from you know,
- 33:09Speaker 2: the the ISP saying hey, you're doing illegal stuff. You
- 33:12Speaker 2: are because it comes back to your account.
- 33:15Speaker 1: All right?
- 33:16Speaker 2: No, ever, ever, don't ever share your WiFi to anybody, David.
- 33:19Speaker 1: No.
- 33:20Speaker 4: Now here's here's the fun thing, right, what is your
- 33:23Speaker 4: Let's go around the horn here? What is your WiFi called? Andy?
- 33:28Speaker 3: I named mine after God. I don't even know why
- 33:33Speaker 3: I named it that. I named it something that is
- 33:35Speaker 3: completely unrelated to the family.
- 33:38Speaker 1: It's unrelated to oh what they come on?
- 33:40Speaker 3: Just say it dark water, all right, that's what I
- 33:43Speaker 3: named that is all right. I don't know why I
- 33:45Speaker 3: named it that, and it's been that way for a while.
- 33:49Speaker 3: I don't think I've ever maybe at one other time,
- 33:52Speaker 3: had something different, but I would never ever name it
- 33:55Speaker 3: the family name. Now, I like some of the names
- 33:57Speaker 3: that are out there for you know, s s IDs
- 34:01Speaker 3: to name your WiFi.
- 34:02Speaker 1: There are some great ones out there. I say, make
- 34:04Speaker 1: it fun, right, oh, justin.
- 34:06Speaker 4: Justin, what's yours?
- 34:07Speaker 2: What is yours? The Wu Tang land, the Wu Tang
- 34:13Speaker 2: land instead of the Wu Tang clan. It's the Wu
- 34:16Speaker 2: tang Land.
- 34:17Speaker 1: Oh, there you go. That's the name of the show
- 34:19Speaker 1: this week. Yeah. I like Sean What is yours?
- 34:23Speaker 2: Sean Land before Time, Land before Time nice? I like it. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 34:30Speaker 4: There's so many good ones, right, there's all these articles
- 34:33Speaker 4: that have gone back.
- 34:36Speaker 2: There's another one I really like, tell my WiFi a lover.
- 34:39Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, really, you know, tell my WiFi but
- 34:43Speaker 2: when you say it fast, tell my WiFi love her? Yeah,
- 34:46Speaker 2: landol Land. Yeah, I mean there's like, there's so many.
- 34:52Speaker 4: There's so many good so many good ones.
- 34:54Speaker 2: Oh my favorite is like NSA surveillance van number five.
- 34:57Speaker 2: That's what that's actually what mine used to be. And
- 35:00Speaker 2: way back in the day, I would have people like
- 35:03Speaker 2: they would walk by my house and stuff, and I
- 35:04Speaker 2: would see them walking by on their phones. Maybe they
- 35:07Speaker 2: were just scanning for Wi Fi or whatever, but they
- 35:09Speaker 2: would see potentially, I guess, they would see the name
- 35:12Speaker 2: of my WiFi and they would stop and they start
- 35:15Speaker 2: looking around like looking for like like looking for an
- 35:19Speaker 2: inconspicuous van or something.
- 35:21Speaker 1: These are fun, but in essence, can you not broadcast
- 35:26Speaker 1: your your SSID?
- 35:28Speaker 2: Oh yeah, of course you can make it it hidden
- 35:30Speaker 2: you can make it hit. But even if you hide it,
- 35:32Speaker 2: it's really not hidden. It's it's hidden for the most
- 35:35Speaker 2: basic of people. If you have the most rudimentary uh
- 35:40Speaker 2: wi Fi scanner, it's still gonna come up with with
- 35:43Speaker 2: the hidden quote unquote hidden networks.
- 35:46Speaker 1: The wu tang Land, I love it.
- 35:48Speaker 2: Yeah, ip frequently, that's good. I pronounce you man and
- 35:52Speaker 2: Wi Fi what land?
- 35:56Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 35:57Speaker 2: Look ma, no wires prouder. I hardly know her. Like
- 36:02Speaker 2: those are all nicknames and stuff. Yeah, hid your kids?
- 36:04Speaker 2: Hid your WiFi? Again?
- 36:06Speaker 3: Our listeners can let us know theirs if they want Again.
- 36:09Speaker 3: Tech guys at tech talk radio dot another quick break,
- 36:12Speaker 3: we come back. Another listener question from ROBERTA.
- 36:15Speaker 1: Tucson. That's standing by. I'm Andy Taylor, I'm Sean.
- 36:18Speaker 2: De Weird and I'm justin Let me one more Wi
- 36:21Speaker 2: Fi fo F. That's a pretty good one. We'll be
- 36:23Speaker 2: right back now back.
- 36:25Speaker 4: To tech talk Radio. We have another listener question to
- 36:29Speaker 4: come out of the break. Yes, and if my web
- 36:31Speaker 4: browser will cooperate, I can read it.
- 36:34Speaker 3: You can drop us the line anytime you have a question.
- 36:36Speaker 3: Tech guys at tech talk radio dot com, and we
- 36:38Speaker 3: love that ask.
- 36:39Speaker 4: We love reading these questions because it it spurs up
- 36:42Speaker 4: a conversation. We get a really good dialogue going. But
- 36:45Speaker 4: this one is from ROBERTA from Tucson. All Right, the
- 36:49Speaker 4: question is I was telling a friend of mine, I
- 36:51Speaker 4: was thinking about getting Microsoft Office because there really is
- 36:54Speaker 4: a lot you can do with it. She was telling me,
- 36:57Speaker 4: and she's not two tech savvy. She said Open Office
- 37:00Speaker 4: is just as good and it's free. I'm nervous about this.
- 37:04Speaker 2: Is it safe because it's free?
- 37:07Speaker 4: Because it's free? Yeah, Open Office or open libra office
- 37:11Speaker 4: is a great open source tool that's free. It's got
- 37:14Speaker 4: word processor, it's got a PowerPoint very similar to you know,
- 37:18Speaker 4: similar to PowerPoint. It's got all those things that you
- 37:21Speaker 4: can use. If you're looking for a basic word processor
- 37:24Speaker 4: that's going to do it. Open Office is totally acceptable.
- 37:28Speaker 1: Can you save save it in files?
- 37:30Speaker 3: Like say your boss hey has Office and he wants
- 37:33Speaker 3: to get it in a doc format, you know, doc
- 37:36Speaker 3: x or whatever.
- 37:37Speaker 1: Can you save it in that format even from open Office?
- 37:40Speaker 4: I believe so. I'd have to check, but I believe
- 37:43Speaker 4: you can expert And to be honest, most of the
- 37:46Speaker 4: Microsoft suite can open just about any other document from
- 37:52Speaker 4: other word processing softwares because it has to write.
- 37:56Speaker 2: You can't.
- 37:57Speaker 4: You can't be the leading web word processing software and
- 38:01Speaker 4: not be able to open up other very common word
- 38:04Speaker 4: word word file types. So now I'm gonna promote a
- 38:08Speaker 4: website We've talked about previously on this website on the
- 38:11Speaker 4: show Alternative to Great Resource. And that's alternative to Yeah,
- 38:19Speaker 4: alternative t o dot net. And if you have a
- 38:24Speaker 4: piece of software that you're like, oh, I don't want
- 38:26Speaker 4: to pay two hundred dollars for this piece of software,
- 38:29Speaker 4: you can go to Alternative type it in and it's
- 38:32Speaker 4: gonna give you a list of alternative softwares that are
- 38:35Speaker 4: more often than not open source and free. So the
- 38:39Speaker 4: common one that I talk about is Photoshop. Right, everybody
- 38:42Speaker 4: knows what Photoshop is. Type in Photoshop. You're gonna get Gimp,
- 38:46Speaker 4: and you're gonna get a couple of other other solutions
- 38:48Speaker 4: that are free that are just as powerful, if not
- 38:51Speaker 4: in some cases better than not necessarily Photoshop. Any alternatives
- 38:57Speaker 4: that are better than the one you may have been
- 38:58Speaker 4: looking at, So alternative to that, go check it out
- 39:01Speaker 4: if you're if you're curious about open source software, and
- 39:05Speaker 4: don't be afraid about open source software, open source software
- 39:08Speaker 4: is community driven, right, It's driven by the people that
- 39:13Speaker 4: care about the software, that are developing it for the users,
- 39:17Speaker 4: not necessarily for profit. So it's sometimes you get a
- 39:22Speaker 4: little bit better community support, you get a little bit
- 39:25Speaker 4: better product updates, you get a little bit you know,
- 39:29Speaker 4: your feature requests may be heard by more people that
- 39:33Speaker 4: can can tie those in. And then if you're savvy
- 39:37Speaker 4: with software, you can take that piece of software because
- 39:39Speaker 4: it's open source, the code lives out there for free
- 39:42Speaker 4: and develop your own products or your own your own
- 39:45Speaker 4: pieces of equipment or you know, your own software development.
- 39:49Speaker 4: Get that works with this piece of software.
- 39:51Speaker 3: So I can I can kind of see though, Sean
- 39:52Speaker 3: though Roberta's hesitation, because how often are we saying, don't
- 39:57Speaker 3: download this through a link, don't download this from a website.
- 40:00Speaker 1: You don't know. You have to be vigilant in what
- 40:05Speaker 1: you're downloading from. I mean you do app oh yeah, no, for.
- 40:07Speaker 4: Sure, right, don't just go oh, here's a great free
- 40:12Speaker 4: word processor app that I just searched forward. It was
- 40:14Speaker 4: the first link at the top that had four pop
- 40:17Speaker 4: ups that said download yeah. Right, there are there are
- 40:20Speaker 4: clear and present dangers on the Internet, and you know,
- 40:24Speaker 4: do a little bit of research, right, Don't just be like,
- 40:27Speaker 4: oh here's this free, think download, right, do a little
- 40:29Speaker 4: bit of research, read some reviews, read our blog, read
- 40:34Speaker 4: any other tech blog. Like, just do a little bit
- 40:37Speaker 4: of research, do your due diligence, and don't just go download.
- 40:41Speaker 4: Like she came to us, asked us the question, right,
- 40:43Speaker 4: that's doing her due diligence and saying, hey, I'm worried
- 40:46Speaker 4: about this. Is it safe? Yeah, it's safe. Download it,
- 40:49Speaker 4: use it. It's gonna be a great tool for you
- 40:51Speaker 4: and tell your friends.
- 40:52Speaker 3: Well, it's kind of like you know, when when I
- 40:54Speaker 3: decided to start playing around with Linux, you know, Linux
- 40:56Speaker 3: been Tony two and then the womb. It's free, but
- 41:01Speaker 3: I was very careful about where I got it from,
- 41:03Speaker 3: and man, it was great.
- 41:04Speaker 1: Actually it wasn't free for win Buntu.
- 41:06Speaker 3: That still cost me thirty five bucks for me to
- 41:08Speaker 3: get the tools, but it was worth.
- 41:10Speaker 1: It, absolutely worth it to be able to do that.
- 41:13Speaker 3: And so yeah, I mean, just like you said, the
- 41:16Speaker 3: due diligence, that is a that is a good thing.
- 41:19Speaker 3: Just to be be careful where you're getting it from,
- 41:21Speaker 3: because I'll tell you the scammers, the hackers, they're working
- 41:25Speaker 3: really hard right now, right around the holidays. They're coming
- 41:28Speaker 3: out of everywhere, and I'm seeing it in emails from
- 41:32Speaker 3: what should be Amazon.
- 41:33Speaker 1: I go it.
- 41:33Speaker 3: So for many of us, our payroll processor is ADP, right,
- 41:40Speaker 3: what is it? Advanced Data of something whatever?
- 41:44Speaker 1: ADP. I get an email.
- 41:46Speaker 2: Today Events Data Processing.
- 41:48Speaker 3: Yeah, I get an email today from APD APD yes,
- 41:52Speaker 3: wanting me to log in to verify my employment so
- 41:56Speaker 3: I could take a look at my paychecks and blah
- 41:57Speaker 3: blah blah. Yeah, no, no gonna fall for that one.
- 42:01Speaker 3: So they are trying to trick you in many ways.
- 42:03Speaker 3: One thing we've heard this week, and I know you
- 42:06Speaker 3: at least Justin and I think Sean you may be
- 42:09Speaker 3: using it, is YouTube TV.
- 42:11Speaker 1: I have been on the fence. I've been waiting.
- 42:13Speaker 3: It looks like Ting is not going to be able
- 42:15Speaker 3: to do our wiring till maybe April or May of
- 42:18Speaker 3: next year. And that's when I was going to just
- 42:20Speaker 3: switch completely from Xfinity but and go to YouTube TV
- 42:25Speaker 3: and Ting YouTube TV has decided to raise this prices
- 42:28Speaker 3: just like everything else, right yep. And apparently that a
- 42:32Speaker 3: lot of people say that's it, I'm canceling, and they
- 42:34Speaker 3: canceled I just.
- 42:35Speaker 4: Had a conversation with a co worker about this. We're
- 42:37Speaker 4: coming full circle. Yeah, everybody's tired of buying pay per
- 42:43Speaker 4: view or this and that and buying this over there
- 42:47Speaker 4: and paying for this over there. It is all getting
- 42:49Speaker 4: bundled again.
- 42:51Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 42:51Speaker 4: Now if I have Disney Plus, okay, well now I
- 42:55Speaker 4: get Disney Plus, Hulu, Espn, Espn Plus. It's all in
- 43:00Speaker 4: Disney Plus. Right, Well now, why so why am I
- 43:02Speaker 4: playing like I just don't get it? The streaming wars
- 43:06Speaker 4: are this is is so ridiculous. A lot of people
- 43:09Speaker 4: are doing is They're they're going month to month, They're
- 43:12Speaker 4: paying for a month and then canceling because they know
- 43:16Speaker 4: they're only going to watch it for a month to
- 43:17Speaker 4: watch the one show or two shows that they want. Yeah,
- 43:20Speaker 4: and then I just feel like that's such a hassle.
- 43:22Speaker 4: But we're even thinking about trimming back on. Do we
- 43:25Speaker 4: watch enough Prime Video to warrant us having a Prime account?
- 43:29Speaker 4: You know, it's it's ridiculous.
- 43:31Speaker 3: Like, I don't know, I've had Prime for years, and
- 43:34Speaker 3: I'm thinking do I I have Prime? Because I know
- 43:37Speaker 3: we do a lot of purchases, you know, with Amazon.
- 43:39Speaker 3: I think that's that's part of it, and I don't
- 43:42Speaker 3: have to then worry about paying for shipping and handling
- 43:46Speaker 3: because that comes with Prime.
- 43:47Speaker 1: Oh but they've got this video service. Am I paying more?
- 43:51Speaker 4: I don't even know what was? When was the last
- 43:52Speaker 4: time you watched something on Prime Video?
- 43:55Speaker 1: Months? Like months?
- 43:57Speaker 4: Don't watch something and you'll see an ad. There's ads
- 44:00Speaker 4: on Prime Video, like it just popped in, and it's
- 44:03Speaker 4: it's frustrating as heck because I'm paying Prime. I'm paying
- 44:08Speaker 4: them one hundred dollars a year and now get ads.
- 44:12Speaker 2: Right, Yeah, well, considering what the other streaming services are charging, right,
- 44:16Speaker 2: I mean, one hundred bucks a year is not a lot.
- 44:20Speaker 2: I mean you look at Netflix, you're paying almost twenty
- 44:23Speaker 2: bucks a month. Really, yeah, I think.
- 44:26Speaker 3: I just I finally watched something on Netflix the other day.
- 44:28Speaker 3: I watched that Carry On with Tarren Edgerson, and I
- 44:30Speaker 3: thought it was pretty good. It was like totally like
- 44:32Speaker 3: die Hard. I don't if you guys have seen that
- 44:34Speaker 3: one yet. If you like Diehard, you'd like that, but i'd.
- 44:37Speaker 4: Like you mean, you're watching something other than Hallmark Christmas
- 44:40Speaker 4: movies right now?
- 44:40Speaker 1: Yeah? Sorry?
- 44:41Speaker 2: Oh my gosh. And he's growing up. Our little boy's
- 44:44Speaker 2: growing up.
- 44:45Speaker 1: I had already seen the Hallmark movie that was on.
- 44:47Speaker 1: I'd already seen that one, so I needed to watch
- 44:49Speaker 1: something else.
- 44:50Speaker 2: But now I watched all of Hallmark.
- 44:52Speaker 1: That's all I've watched.
- 44:53Speaker 3: On Netflix seriously in a long time, other than The
- 44:57Speaker 3: Fight you know when that was on. So yeah, it's
- 45:00Speaker 3: just it's it's kind of weird. Yeah, you're right, I
- 45:02Speaker 3: mean the Wars are on. Now we've seen people going
- 45:05Speaker 3: up from seventy what is it, seventy two dollars a
- 45:07Speaker 3: month to eighty two dollars a month for YouTube TV?
- 45:10Speaker 2: People, do you still think it's worth it though?
- 45:12Speaker 1: At eighty two dollars a month?
- 45:14Speaker 4: I I so right, we're in an agreement with so
- 45:17Speaker 4: Kale's Pairs pay for YouTube TV, we pay for Disney
- 45:20Speaker 4: Place like we kind of do a sharing back and
- 45:24Speaker 4: forth and where they.
- 45:26Speaker 1: Get them on me.
- 45:27Speaker 4: We pay for Netflix, they pay for you know, so
- 45:31Speaker 4: and like Chris sister pays for whatever another streaming service
- 45:34Speaker 4: that we use. So we kind of shared it on
- 45:36Speaker 4: the horn. And now that they live, now that they
- 45:38Speaker 4: live closer, we're no longer getting flagged for the out
- 45:43Speaker 4: of Netflix.
- 45:44Speaker 1: Ah nice, right, because they live.
- 45:47Speaker 4: Much closer now, So within within the region. I guess
- 45:50Speaker 4: if you will, but I don't know. I'd have to
- 45:52Speaker 4: ask them what they paid, right, because we talked about
- 45:54Speaker 4: this when they switched right, they were on Charter Internet,
- 45:59Speaker 4: which is a local IP up in Luddington, and they
- 46:02Speaker 4: switched to you Cable and they were they dropped their
- 46:05Speaker 4: bill from like one hundred and twenty five dollars to
- 46:07Speaker 4: it was like sixty five bucks a month. Now, I'd
- 46:10Speaker 4: have to figure out what they're paying because I don't know.
- 46:13Speaker 3: Right when you start adding everything though Paramount plus Disney
- 46:17Speaker 3: plus Hulu plus.
- 46:19Speaker 1: Peacock, it did.
- 46:21Speaker 3: That's where you it's people are suddenly going, wait a minute,
- 46:23Speaker 3: how much am I paying for this?
- 46:25Speaker 2: Yeah, it's more expecially and people people don't think about
- 46:27Speaker 2: it too.
- 46:27Speaker 4: It's on top of your what you're paying for your internet.
- 46:30Speaker 1: Right. I have HBO. I never watch it, but just
- 46:32Speaker 1: in case something's gonna come on. You know. It's well,
- 46:35Speaker 1: that's how.
- 46:36Speaker 4: They get you, right, That's that's physical media is king
- 46:39Speaker 4: because they get you.
- 46:40Speaker 2: You know.
- 46:41Speaker 4: You go you go to Netflix and you're like, oh, man,
- 46:43Speaker 4: I saw that the super manor Brothers movie was on
- 46:46Speaker 4: and I wanted to watch that and they're like, oh, sorry,
- 46:48Speaker 4: the last day to watch that was three days ago.
- 46:50Speaker 4: Well yeah, now, now where do I go and watch it?
- 46:53Speaker 4: I started, Let me go to let me let me
- 46:54Speaker 4: go to Prime Prime Video, Prime Video? Has it great?
- 46:57Speaker 4: You log into Prime Video? Oh rented for two d night?
- 46:59Speaker 4: What rent it?
- 47:00Speaker 2: Yeah? That's what I got?
- 47:03Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 47:04Speaker 4: So it's consumers are frustrated, but consumers are also lazy,
- 47:10Speaker 4: so they will pay the money to not have to
- 47:13Speaker 4: go out of their way to get a disc out
- 47:15Speaker 4: and play it or buy it. They know what they're doing,
- 47:19Speaker 4: these companies, these streaming companies, they know what they're doing.
- 47:22Speaker 4: And you are paying for a license to watch these
- 47:25Speaker 4: you don't own it. And I keep telling people it's
- 47:28Speaker 4: gonna take one major internet out is for a period
- 47:31Speaker 4: of three to four days where people don't have internet,
- 47:33Speaker 4: and physical media sales are gonna skyrocket.
- 47:37Speaker 1: It's got a want more invice of DVDs.
- 47:39Speaker 3: Yeah, I know exactly out of the five dollars bin,
- 47:42Speaker 3: that's what it's gonna be.
- 47:44Speaker 1: It's gonna be crazy, all right. I wanted to bring up.
- 47:48Speaker 3: The fact that chat GPT's doing something pretty cool. Uh
- 47:52Speaker 3: And I don't know if you you used that as Sean,
- 47:54Speaker 3: I know you use it for work and justin I
- 47:57Speaker 3: know we have Gemini, so we've been used in that
- 47:58Speaker 3: quite a bit.
- 47:59Speaker 1: I'm pretty good with Jemini most of the time.
- 48:03Speaker 3: It's it's pretty accurate. But chet JPT search has now
- 48:06Speaker 3: been made available for free for all. It used to
- 48:10Speaker 3: be only if you had a paid account. Now it's
- 48:13Speaker 3: for free. What you do is you go to your
- 48:15Speaker 3: chat GPT loggin you through open Ai. You set up
- 48:19Speaker 3: a free account and you'll see where you can create
- 48:23Speaker 3: and ask for an image, or you can ask for
- 48:27Speaker 3: a little globe and do a search.
- 48:29Speaker 1: And I got to tell you I did a.
- 48:31Speaker 3: Search just before the show of something that happened here
- 48:34Speaker 3: in Tucson and it pulled up so and it was
- 48:36Speaker 3: recently like in the last week. So again it's not
- 48:40Speaker 3: behind a subscription paywall.
- 48:42Speaker 1: It's free there.
- 48:42Speaker 3: They want people to use open Ai search instead of
- 48:46Speaker 3: course Google Search to help build the brand for chat GPT.
- 48:50Speaker 3: So if you want to try and do some searches
- 48:52Speaker 3: on there, see how that comes.
- 48:54Speaker 1: Up for you. All Right, we can take a quick break.
- 48:57Speaker 1: We've got more to wrap up a tech talk radio
- 48:59Speaker 1: for this week. I mean Taylor.
- 49:01Speaker 4: I'm Sean de Weird and I'm justin Let me.
- 49:03Speaker 2: You can send us an X at tech talk Radio.
- 49:06Speaker 1: We'll be right back and now back to tech talk radio.
- 49:09Speaker 1: Hey learning the cable guy and you're listening to tech
- 49:12Speaker 1: cock Radio.
- 49:15Speaker 2: So normally ask website of the week. Yeah, and none
- 49:20Speaker 2: of us ever have it.
- 49:22Speaker 1: We're like, I haven't been any websites this week.
- 49:24Speaker 2: I've actually got a couple of them that I found.
- 49:26Speaker 2: I was just kind of, you know, browsing around, and
- 49:29Speaker 2: I found something. I put them in a chat here.
- 49:31Speaker 2: The first one is it's really good for people that
- 49:33Speaker 2: are using like photographers or graphical artists or just people
- 49:38Speaker 2: that really want to know about the different colors. But
- 49:41Speaker 2: there's a website called every hex dot Codes, every h
- 49:46Speaker 2: e X, every hex dot codes, all right, and it
- 49:49Speaker 2: is every color imaginable and you can just float your
- 49:53Speaker 2: mouse cursser over it and it will give you the
- 49:55Speaker 2: hexadecimal code for that particular color. So if you need
- 49:59Speaker 2: to input it in to you know, uh, Photoshop or
- 50:03Speaker 2: or your your game illustrator or illustrator or whatever you
- 50:07Speaker 2: might be, this is every single hex color known. I mean,
- 50:13Speaker 2: it is insane. It's all sixteen point seven million colors.
- 50:18Speaker 2: So for those who don't want a website.
- 50:19Speaker 3: Don't understand every color has a hex associated with it,
- 50:23Speaker 3: and it's going to be just an identifier that this color,
- 50:26Speaker 3: this these numbers and letters represent that color.
- 50:30Speaker 2: So that's what like like hashtag B nine dB three
- 50:33Speaker 2: five is like a puke yellow kind of color. Randomly,
- 50:37Speaker 2: I just picked one.
- 50:38Speaker 1: That's just nice.
- 50:39Speaker 2: This is pretty cool. It's every heex dot code. The
- 50:41Speaker 2: other one I was gonna mention is open megahurts. Now
- 50:46Speaker 2: I'm megahurts abbreviated open mh z, openmhz dot com. It
- 50:51Speaker 2: is aware for you to be able to go and
- 50:53Speaker 2: listen to unencrypted police fire ems radio channels, kind of
- 50:59Speaker 2: like uhod castify, except this is more. It's again it's open,
- 51:04Speaker 2: so it's uh, there's no one company behind it, and
- 51:09Speaker 2: you can easily record your own local radio system. So
- 51:12Speaker 2: you can just get like a twenty five dollars SDR
- 51:15Speaker 2: uh and plug it in and you can capture some
- 51:17Speaker 2: some sort of frequency in your area and feed it
- 51:20Speaker 2: into open SDR or open megat excuse me, open MHz
- 51:25Speaker 2: dot com and so like right now you know the
- 51:29Speaker 2: top trending ones right now are miss Watt Madison, Wisconsin.
- 51:31Speaker 2: You know because of the recent tragic incident that happened there.
- 51:36Speaker 2: You've got DC fire and ems. You've got a Fairfox County, uh,
- 51:40Speaker 2: and you've also got New Jersey because of all the drones.
- 51:42Speaker 2: Everything always talking about the drones. Wants to be your
- 51:46Speaker 2: own community? Yeah, yeah, if you wanted to do for
- 51:48Speaker 2: your own community, all you'd have to do is just
- 51:50Speaker 2: buy They have an instruction guide on it, but you
- 51:52Speaker 2: just buy a twenty five dollars USB SDR and I
- 51:56Speaker 2: forget SDR stands for Sean helped me out here software
- 52:00Speaker 2: defined software defined radio. Yes, And you would literally just
- 52:04Speaker 2: hook an antenna to that and feed it into your computer,
- 52:07Speaker 2: and then you could feed whatever channel you want into
- 52:10Speaker 2: openmegaheurts dot com and and and let other people listen
- 52:14Speaker 2: to it, like for instance, Arizona, I can listen to
- 52:17Speaker 2: the p MC County Wireless Integrated Network is showing metro area.
- 52:24Speaker 4: If you are interested in getting an SDR device, a donkele,
- 52:28Speaker 4: All right, U r T L DASH SDR dot com.
- 52:32Speaker 4: This is a it's an amateur radio SUH SDR Donkele
- 52:38Speaker 4: that you can then tie into any you know web
- 52:41Speaker 4: s j X, any number of amateur radio softwares, and
- 52:45Speaker 4: these can actually tune in HAM radio bands.
- 52:49Speaker 2: And they're only they're only listen only, right, they don't
- 52:51Speaker 2: be able to trans.
- 52:52Speaker 4: Correct correct these are these are listening only. You would
- 52:54Speaker 4: have to get some other fans. You'd have to get
- 52:56Speaker 4: some other you'd have to have a radio radio. You'd
- 52:59Speaker 4: have to actually have a the actual radio that can
- 53:01Speaker 4: tie in USB to your computer to transmit. Now FT
- 53:04Speaker 4: eight if you're anybody author's a Ham radio operator. FT
- 53:07Speaker 4: eight is a very popular web based platform that ties
- 53:11Speaker 4: in USPGR radio and is low wattage and you can
- 53:15Speaker 4: dx around the world using your computer.
- 53:17Speaker 2: All right.
- 53:18Speaker 3: Also, I want to mention before your app twenty four
- 53:21Speaker 3: h two that is the Windows update that takes out WordPad.
- 53:24Speaker 3: It also messes with network sharing. I found out how
- 53:28Speaker 3: we can get WordPad back. If you like using WordPad,
- 53:31Speaker 3: I do. So I'm gonna put together a video. We'll
- 53:33Speaker 3: put it up on the website at TikTok radio dot
- 53:35Speaker 3: com on which files you need to grab so you have,
- 53:39Speaker 3: but again that'll be up on our website.
- 53:41Speaker 1: Quick, real quick. What do you want for Christmas?
- 53:44Speaker 2: Justin I want Oh gosh, I have no idea. Man,

- 53:55Speaker 3: new one. It looks good, it really does. It's a
- 53:58Speaker 3: fixed focused lens.
- 53:59Speaker 2: Yes, thirty five millimeter fixed focus f stop one point eight.
- 54:03Speaker 2: It's really good, really good.
- 54:04Speaker 1: How about Sean, what do you think I want?
- 54:06Speaker 4: Either that Ebsen printer or that other printer that you
- 54:09Speaker 4: showed me that can scan the four by sixes.
- 54:11Speaker 1: Hey, yeah, it's not a printer, it's this scanner. There's Visionaire.
- 54:14Speaker 2: Yeah. Scan.
- 54:15Speaker 4: That's what I met. So what I met scanner. But yeah,
- 54:17Speaker 4: that's I want that because I am painstakingly doing three
