- 0:04Tater tater wake up what? Where am I?
- 0:11Who are you? Tater?
- 0:12It's me, Egbert. You're at home and we're doing a
- 0:14science project. Remember?
- 0:16On the human brain. Oh, right.
- 0:18Right, right. How's that going?
- 0:20Are we almost done yet? Not yet.
- 0:23That's why I'm here. I jotted down a few ideas, but I
- 0:26was hoping to get some input from you.
- 0:28I can put in a few dollars and we can order a pizza.
- 0:31How does that sound? Not that kind of input.
- 0:34Do you have any thoughts? What are you thinking about
- 0:37right now? Yeah, I'm thinking about
- 0:42nothing. I'm not surprised.
- 0:44You're thinking about nothing and you're doing nothing.
- 0:49Are you getting mad at me? No.
- 0:52Why should I be mad? It's a well known fact that our
- 0:55thoughts affect our choices and our choices affect our actions.
- 0:58You're thinking about nothing, choosing nothing, and therefore
- 1:02nothing is getting done. Hey, hey, hey, hey.
- 1:05I offered to chip in and get a pizza.
- 1:08That something eating and sleeping, Is that all you think
- 1:13about? Yeah.
- 1:16See, we have a problem. This project is due tomorrow
- 1:19morning. I'm used to getting A's on my
- 1:21report card, so I think about my homework.
- 1:24And because I think about it, I choose to do it.
- 1:27And because I choose to do it, I have something to turn into the
- 1:30teacher. And the teacher usually gives me
- 1:33an A because it's obvious to her how much thought I put into it.
- 1:37Dude, you're giving me such a headache.
- 1:39You, on the other hand, are used to getting FS on your report
- 1:42card. You don't think about homework,
- 1:44so you don't have a chance to even do it.
- 1:47You turn nothing into the teacher, and so you get an F am
- 1:50I right? That's good.
- 1:53Are you sure you don't want any pizza?
- 1:55No, I don't want any pizza. I'm not hungry.
- 1:58I want to finish this assignment.
- 2:00Well, don't let me bother you then.
- 2:03Let me know when you're done. Yeah.
- 2:08How did I get stuck doing this project with you in the first
- 2:10place? Look.
- 2:13Kind of a nerd. Nobody really likes you.
- 2:17So when the teacher said we had to choose a partner for this
- 2:20project, I thought to myself, who in this class could do this
- 2:26project without any help from me?
- 2:29And I looked around and I saw you.
- 2:32So I chose you, the biggest egghead in the class.
- 2:37And because I chose you, I don't have to do any work, because you
- 2:43will be able to do it without me.
- 2:45So you see, I do think a little, but it's usually to figure out a
- 2:50way to do more of nothing. Tater, you may think your
- 2:57laziness has paid off, but I know.
- 2:59Proverbs 21 five Good planning and hard work lead to
- 3:03prosperity, but hasty shortcuts lead to poverty.
- 3:07I choose to be prosperous. I'm leaving now.
- 3:13Well that was easy. I think I'll go order that pizza
- 3:16now. Ow, I don't have money.
- 3:26Well, Bill and Jill, now that the boss is gone, what are you
- 3:30going to do? Well, Phil, I don't know about
- 3:33Jill, but I'm going to take the money the boss gave me and start
- 3:36my business. I'm with Bill Phil.
- 3:39I'm going to get busy and make some more money.
- 3:42What about you, Phil? You know what they say, Bill and
- 3:45Jill. When the cat's away, the mice
- 3:47will play. Do you mean Phil, that you are
- 3:49not going to use the money the boss gave you?
- 3:52That's exactly what I mean. Bill, the boss did not tell us
- 3:55what to do with the money, so I'm not going to do anything
- 3:58with it. What?
- 3:59Will you do with the boss's money, Phil?
- 4:02I'm going to hide the boss's money so that I will have it
- 4:04when he returns. Jill.
- 4:05The way I see it, why I work so hard, Bill and Jill.
- 4:09That's not a very godly attitude, Phil.
- 4:11Godly leaders for imitators of Jesus.
- 4:14Jesus said that when you are faithful over little, you will
- 4:17become ruler over much. Don't you care about pleasing
- 4:21the boss, Phil? The boss will be glad I didn't
- 4:24lose his money. Jill, I really think you and
- 4:27Bill are taking this way too seriously.
- 4:29We are only doing what we know the boss would want us to do.
- 4:33Maybe you should reconsider Phil.
- 4:35Fat chance Jill, you and Bill go ahead.
- 4:39While you're busy working, I'll be relaxing by the pool.
- 4:42That reminds me of a scripture, Phil Proverbs 10/4 says that a
- 4:47lazy man is soon. Poor.
- 4:49Hey, that rhymes Bill. Proverbs 10/4.
- 4:54Lazy men are soon poor. Have you ever thought of
- 4:57becoming a rapper, Bill? You mean like a candy bar
- 5:00wrapper? I don't think so.
- 5:02Jill, see ya. Bill and Jill don't work too
- 5:07hard. Well, I'll go hide the money so
- 5:09that I can return to the boss exactly what he gave to me.
- 5:14I feel sorry for Bill and Jill. They try so hard to be like the
- 5:18boss. I hope they don't waste their
- 5:20energy for nothing. Oh well, think I'll take a nap.
- 5:31Wake up, Phil. I'm back.
- 5:34Boss so soon? I've been gone 3 weeks, Phil.
- 5:38Oh, time flies when you're having fun, boss.
- 5:41Bill and Jill have doubled the money that I left them.
- 5:44They have proven themselves to be very capable leaders.
- 5:48I have made them bosses over much.
- 5:51You must have worked even harder than them.
- 5:53As tired as you look, Phil. Well, I wouldn't say I worked
- 5:57harder, but I have been tired boss.
- 6:00So did you do a good job? Phil Well, actually, I married
- 6:06the money boss. Excuse me, I couldn't hear you.
- 6:10Phil. You.
- 6:11Never really said what to do with the money boss and and I
- 6:14knew you wanted it back when you returned so I put in a safe
- 6:17place so I wouldn't lose it. Well, a bank is a safe place,
- 6:21Phil. You earned a little interest.
- 6:23That's pretty good for your first go at at it.
- 6:26You need to hang around Bill and Jill a little more.
- 6:29You could learn a lot from those. 2 Boss, I didn't put your
- 6:34money in the bank. I buried it.
- 6:36You buried my money, Phil. Yeah, boss, I didn't want you to
- 6:40get angry with me. I wanted to give you back every
- 6:43penny. I'm not good at making money
- 6:45like you are. I haven't been working with you
- 6:47long. Enough.
- 6:48You know, Bill and Jill made a profit with what I gave them,
- 6:52and that's good for business. So Bill and Jill have their own
- 6:56businesses now, thanks to me. But you, Phil, you are lazy.
- 7:02I won't be lazy if you give me my own business, boss.
- 7:05I'll work really hard, honest I will.
- 7:06It doesn't work that way, Phil. I can't.
- 7:09Trust you. I should have listened to Jill
- 7:14and Bill. What a mess I made.
- 7:27How am I ever going to clean this up in time?
- 7:31I sure could use a helping hand right about now, yeah.
- 7:36What a mess. Who are you?
- 7:42The name Slobbing. I'm an Ant.
- 7:45You're awfully big for an Ant. Yeah, I guess it's because I eat
- 7:51my. Vegetables.
- 7:52Well, I'm really in a hurry. Would you mind helping me pick
- 7:57all this up? Yes, I wouldn't mind.
- 8:00Sorry lady, it's not my job. I didn't make the mess, so I'm
- 8:05not cleaning it. Come to think of it, even if I
- 8:10did make the mess, I wouldn't clean it.
- 8:12Well I never in all my life saw such a lazy Ant lady.
- 8:21I'm not lazy, I'm smart. What if I was to help you and I
- 8:28pulled my back out of place from bending over trying to pick up
- 8:32that mess you made? I'd never be able to work again
- 8:35if that happened. No thank you lady.
- 8:39I'm saving my strength for more important things.
- 8:42Like feeding your face. Yeah, exactly.
- 8:46See, now that that's important. If I didn't eat, I wouldn't have
- 8:51enough strength to help clean messes like this.
- 8:54Then you'll help me when you're finished eating.
- 8:57I didn't say that, lady. You're putting words in my
- 9:00mouth. Oh, you.
- 9:02You. Have a very lazy attitude.
- 9:06I'll bet you wouldn't even clean this up very well.
- 9:10You'd probably leave messes here and there.
- 9:13Well, you'll never know because I'm not helping.
- 9:16Besides, I'm trying to figure out a way to make some easy
- 9:19money. There's a lot of things I'd like
- 9:22to buy. Say, do you have any money you
- 9:25could loan me permanently? Let me get this straight, you
- 9:33want me to give you some money but you don't want to help me
- 9:38clean up this mess? Well, since you put it that way,
- 9:45yes. I need some help, somebody
- 9:50anybody help? I am here to help, it's what I
- 9:57do. I love to work, so I'll help
- 10:00you. Oh, brother.
- 10:02You again wait. You're an aunt too.
- 10:06What is going on? Is this some kind of a joke?
- 10:11Don't tell me you eat your vegetables too?
- 10:15The yes, you cleaned it all. Up.
- 10:18Yes ma'am. It's clean, the job is done.
- 10:21I'm glad to help because work is fun.
- 10:24Work fun. Seriously.
- 10:27Thank you so much. You must be a diligent.
- 10:33Diligent. That's my game, Ant man.
- 10:36That's my name. Well Ant man, you have saved my
- 10:40day. I appreciate your diligent
- 10:44attitude. You picked this mess up quickly
- 10:47without me having to say one thing and you did an excellent
- 10:52job. Here is $20.00 for your trouble.
- 10:57Hey, that's not fair. If you want to prosper, there's
- 11:03a hitch. The hand of the diligent makes 1
- 11:06rich. Laziness just doesn't pay.
- 11:09So learn to work smart every day.
- 11:14You should learn a few things from Ant man you slob.
- 11:19The name's Slobbing, and you didn't say anything about a $20
- 11:24bill. I would have helped for $20.
- 11:28Hey. Ant man do.
- 11:30You have any money you could give me?
- 11:32You know, like a loan. Slobbing.
- 11:35When are you going to learn that laziness doesn't pay?
- 11:38Proverbs 10/4 says the hand of the diligent makes 1 rich.
- 11:42See you around. Hey, that didn't rhyme.
- 11:46Come on cat man, you have plenty of money.
- 11:49That's the 5th. Time today someone is giving you
- 11:53money for working Ant. Man.
- 11:57Wait for me, Ant man. Come on, let's talk about this.
- 12:10Spray Polish on the cloth, then wipe all the dust.
- 12:15Off Mac. Yeah, Big Boss.
- 12:19Come over here a minute, I want to talk to you.
- 12:21Yes, Big Boss. Put the Polish back away.
- 12:25Dust again another day. What can I do for you, Big Boss?
- 12:31New here, aren't you Mac? Yeah, Big Boss.
- 12:34How could you tell? Because you're working, I check
- 12:37on the rest of the crew and they're goofing off or sleeping
- 12:40or doing the job all wrong. I have to go behind them and
- 12:43clean up the mess. That's a shame, Big Boss.
- 12:46They're getting paid to do a job.
- 12:48They should do it right? God wants us to be obedient even
- 12:52in little things. I agree, from now on I want you
- 12:56to sweep the floors after you finish dusting the furniture.
- 12:59You want me to sweep the floors after I finish dusting?
- 13:03That's right. I was faith all over the
- 13:06dusting. Now I get a sweep too.
- 13:09I guess I am ruler over the duster and broom.
- 13:14Sweep the floor, sweep the floor, push, push all the dirt
- 13:18out the door. Whoosh, whoosh.
- 13:20Mac. Yeah, Big Boss.
- 13:22Come over here a minute. Yes, Big Boss.
- 13:24Put the broom back away. Sweep again another day.
- 13:30What can I do for you, Big Boss? I like you, Mac.
- 13:34I've been watching you. You're a hard worker.
- 13:36I got a bunch of lazy bums working for me, but not you.
- 13:40God wants us to be obedient even in the little things.
- 13:43That's what you told me, isn't it?
- 13:45Yeah, I told you that. I like that attitude.
- 13:49I'm thinking about promoting you.
- 13:51You mean like well done, good and faithful servant?
- 13:54You've been faithful over a few things.
- 13:56I'll make you rule over many things.
- 13:58Matthew, 2523. What's that?
- 14:02It's a Bible verse I'm learning. That's nice.
- 14:05So now instead of just dusting the furniture and sweeping the
- 14:09floor, I want you to paint the walls.
- 14:12So now you want me to dust the furniture and sweep the floor
- 14:17and paint the walls? That's right.
- 14:21Painful over dusting and sweeping roller over painting,
- 14:27painting up and down the wall. Slop slop all the way down the
- 14:31hall. Plop, plop.
- 14:33Mac. Yes, Big Boss.
- 14:35Come over here a minute, I want to talk to you.
- 14:38Yes, Big Boss. Put the paintbrush in the can
- 14:43until I can paint again. What can I do for you, Big Boss?
- 14:50I've never seen anyone paint like you do.
- 14:53Am I doing it wrong? No, no, no.
- 14:56You're doing it right. Everyone else does it wrong.
- 14:59That's why I'm promoting you. Sir, I started out dusting and
- 15:04then you added sweeping and now painting.
- 15:07I appreciate the promotion but I don't don't have time to do more
- 15:11work. Big Boss.
- 15:13You will now. From now on you don't have to do
- 15:15the dusting, sweeping or painting.
- 15:18I'm making you the big boss. Me.
- 15:22The big Boss. That's right, all you have to do
- 15:25is train the other workers how to do the job right and check up
- 15:28on them to make sure it gets done.
- 15:30That's it. And teach them that God wants us
- 15:32to be obedient even in the little things.
- 15:35Can you do that? Yeah, I can do that.
- 15:38Good, I'm doubling your salary. Thank you, Sir.
- 15:42I don't know what to say. How about well done, good and
- 15:46faithful servant? You have been faithful over a
- 15:48few things. I will make you ruler over many
- 15:50things. Matthew, 2523.
- 15:53Yeah, faithful over the work. Now I'm ruler over the workers.
- 15:58I guess that makes me Big Mac.
