Transcript
- 0:00SPEAKER_01: On X, we're in such a bubble.
- 0:01SPEAKER_01: We talk to all these people all day that are just very smart and financially literate.
- 0:06SPEAKER_01: But you go out into the real world and talk to a random person in Walmart.
- 0:11SPEAKER_01: They probably don't even know how to invest in the stock market.
- 0:13SPEAKER_01: They don't even know how to open up an investing account.
- 0:16SPEAKER_01: So I'm not gonna sit here and go to someone my age who's just sports betting all the time, all the time, be like, no, you don't need to learn about the stock market.
- 0:25SPEAKER_01: You should just full port into Bitcoin because I think the conviction that you'll have in Bitcoin will be so much stronger once you learn about all that other stuff.
- 0:34SPEAKER_01: I'm not just gonna say skip all that, come straight here.
- 0:37SPEAKER_01: I think it kind of needs to be a self-journey, and I can't have that conviction for you.
- 0:43SPEAKER_01: I can try and tell you about it, but I can't just give you the passion that I have for it.
- 0:48SPEAKER_01: You need to kind of go on your own journey.
- 0:50SPEAKER_01: Again, I don't think there's anything wrong with someone who's my age, 24 years old, who just decides to quit.
- 0:56SPEAKER_01: So many people I know sports bet, it's so bad.
- 0:58SPEAKER_01: Just quit sports betting and just start putting money into ETF for anything's better than what most of the people my age are doing.
- 1:05SPEAKER_01: I mean, I'm not gonna be sad or upset or anything about that.
- 1:10SPEAKER_01: I'm just gonna be like awesome, like you're finally starting to get it.
- 1:13SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 1:18SPEAKER_03: All right, welcome back to To the Moon with the Lunas.
- 1:20SPEAKER_03: Bitcoin price is sitting at 63k.
- 1:23SPEAKER_03: Uh, we're super excited for today's guest, Logan, 24-year-old PE teacher, coach, and Bitcoiner who's passionate about helping his generation think differently about health, money, and their future.
- 1:33SPEAKER_03: Uh, his journey led him to studying money, inflation, and Bitcoin, but we'll let him share that with you guys.
- 1:39SPEAKER_03: Uh, Logan, welcome to the show.
- 1:42SPEAKER_01: Hey, I am so excited.
- 1:44SPEAKER_01: This is my first ever interview or anything.
- 1:46SPEAKER_01: So I'm just excited to finally get on here with you guys.
- 1:49SPEAKER_01: I know I kept putting it off for so long.
- 1:50SPEAKER_01: So we appreciate it.
- 1:52SPEAKER_03: So this is first first podcast ever.
- 1:55SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 1:56SPEAKER_01: Let's go.
- 1:57SPEAKER_01: Nice.
- 1:58SPEAKER_00: I'm on we feel honored.
- 1:59SPEAKER_00: Thank you for choosing us to be your.
- 2:02SPEAKER_01: I feel honored.
- 2:02SPEAKER_01: I'm just uh I'm just a guy.
- 2:06SPEAKER_00: Same.
- 2:07SPEAKER_00: We're just we're just a couple figuring this out too.
- 2:09SPEAKER_00: So it's we're all in the same boat.
- 2:11SPEAKER_03: Yeah, we're like eight months into this podcast.
- 2:14SPEAKER_03: We didn't know what we were doing, and we still don't know what we're doing.
- 2:19SPEAKER_00: Every week we're like, there's gotta be a way to make, you know, there's got we we're missing something.
- 2:24SPEAKER_00: We're missing something.
- 2:25SPEAKER_00: But it's all good.
- 2:27SPEAKER_00: It's and if I always say if we're not lifelong learners, like what's the point?
- 2:30SPEAKER_00: So we're always learning, always growing.
- 2:33SPEAKER_00: Um and so it's just really cool.
- 2:35SPEAKER_00: And it's what's that?
- 2:37SPEAKER_01: I said I hear that statement every day from my boss.
- 2:41SPEAKER_00: So yeah.
- 2:42unknown: Yeah.
- 2:43SPEAKER_00: Well, it's cool because I I I work in education also.
- 2:46SPEAKER_00: You're also an educator, um, which is so fun to kind of get that perspective also.
- 2:52SPEAKER_00: But um, so you're only 24.
- 2:54SPEAKER_00: You just started really thinking seriously about your future.
- 2:57SPEAKER_00: What kind of triggered that whole snowball for you?
- 3:01SPEAKER_01: Oh my gosh.
- 3:02SPEAKER_01: Um, so in college, I worked at like the most amazing golf course of all time.
- 3:07SPEAKER_01: It's like hidden up on top of this mountain.
- 3:10SPEAKER_01: There's people that will fly in for today, just play golf and leave.
- 3:14SPEAKER_01: Like the most successful people ever.
- 3:16SPEAKER_01: And I'm like, okay, if I'm gonna go pursue my passion of working with kids and being a PE teacher, I should probably take like I should probably try and learn from these successful people as much as possible.
- 3:29SPEAKER_01: And just so, you know, I can one day reach maybe not the level they're at, but just be able to pursue what I want to do.
- 3:37SPEAKER_01: And I was just asking so many questions all the time, all the time, all the time.
- 3:41SPEAKER_01: I met a lot of successful Bitcoiners there, and one in particular who's a great guy, and he taught me a lot.
- 3:48SPEAKER_01: And just diving into that level of money and reading into that, I worked there from like 18 to 22, so it changed a lot over that entire time I was there.
- 4:00SPEAKER_00: Wow, that is so cool.
- 4:01SPEAKER_00: Well, it that speaks to your environment, right?
- 4:04SPEAKER_00: Because I always feel like when we're not put in you know, in different environments, I feel like we're not exposed to certain things.
- 4:11SPEAKER_00: So if you always stay in your same bubble, you're always staying in your same town or city that you grew up in, you're not really exposing yourself to what's around you.
- 4:20SPEAKER_00: So like that's awesome that you had the opportunity to be in that environment around a lot of successful people because not everyone at that age is really, you know, doing that, you know.
- 4:28SPEAKER_01: And for you to be go go ahead.
- 4:32SPEAKER_01: I met country singers, I met doctors, I met lawyers, I met real estate people that were on like Ron DeSantis' team, Trump's team.
- 4:43SPEAKER_01: I met lobbyists from I I met all different kinds of successful people.
- 4:47SPEAKER_01: I met dudes who are just like, yeah, I full ported Home Depot stock when I was in college, and I just got really lucky.
- 4:54SPEAKER_01: I'm just like, wow, okay.
- 4:56SPEAKER_01: There it was just a little bit of everything.
- 5:00SPEAKER_03: That's awesome.
- 5:01SPEAKER_03: So you met this whole range of people.
- 5:03SPEAKER_03: Was there anyone that we'll stick with three, like that just totally like stuck out to you?
- 5:08SPEAKER_01: Yeah, there's one that I still talk to all the time, and he follows me on X, and he um he put me in this group chat full of a lot of very successful Bitcoiners when I was first learning about it, and I would just sit there and listen and I would just read like stuff I didn't even know about like I was like 19.
- 5:27SPEAKER_01: I I didn't know what Bitcoin was.
- 5:28SPEAKER_01: I was just buying it because I was like, oh, look how much it goes up.
- 5:31SPEAKER_01: And I would be reading, I would just like sit very silently in the group chat and read all the stuff they're talking about.
- 5:36SPEAKER_01: I'm like, whoa, whoa, like I didn't even know it only had 21 million.
- 5:40SPEAKER_01: Like, I'm just 19 years old, I don't know anything about it.
- 5:43SPEAKER_01: And and yeah, that I learned like a lot of stuff from those very successful people in that chat.
- 5:51SPEAKER_01: I'm still in there, they still send messages in there every day.
- 5:55SPEAKER_03: That's awesome.
- 5:56SPEAKER_03: Um, so I know uh one of the things too is like so you um I love this, especially with Gen Z.
- 6:02SPEAKER_03: So uh the fact that you're even like thinking about investing, the fact that you I know you talk about stocks, um, Bitcoin, and I know like in the X space, sometimes Bitcoiners are a little bit like, hey, like why are you messing with that?
- 6:14SPEAKER_03: Like it's just fiat gains, um, XYZ, right?
- 6:17SPEAKER_03: For me, for us, like we never want to tell someone what to do with their money, like do whatever you gotta do to figure it out, right?
- 6:24SPEAKER_03: Like, if you want to like leverage stock markets to buy more Bitcoin or you want to just get more gains, like we do still live in a fiat world, I get it, right?
- 6:32SPEAKER_03: Like, I'm not really gonna be like, hey, don't do that or XYZ, right?
- 6:36SPEAKER_03: Um, what is your take on this?
- 6:38SPEAKER_03: Um, I know you do both, and so where do you stand on this?
- 6:41SPEAKER_01: I mean, I just think for the average person, like on X, we're in such a bubble.
- 6:45SPEAKER_01: We talk to all these people all day that are just very smart and financially literate, but you go out into the real world and talk to a random person in Walmart or something, they probably like they don't know what they don't even know how to invest in the stock market.
- 7:00SPEAKER_01: They don't even know how to open up an investing account.
- 7:03SPEAKER_01: So I'm not gonna sit here and go to some person who's maybe someone my age who's just sports betting all the time, all the time, be like, no, you don't need to learn about the stock market, you should just full port into Bitcoin because I think the conviction that you'll have in Bitcoin will be so much stronger once you learn about all that other stuff.
- 7:25SPEAKER_01: I'm not just gonna say skip all that, come straight here.
- 7:28SPEAKER_01: I think it kind of needs to be a self-journey, and I can't have that conviction for you.
- 7:33SPEAKER_01: You know, I can't I can't I can try and tell you about it, but I can't just give you the passion that I have for it.
- 7:41SPEAKER_01: I think you need to kind of go on your own journey.
- 7:43SPEAKER_01: And I again I don't think there's anything wrong with someone who's 20, my age, 24 years old, who just decides to quit.
- 7:52SPEAKER_01: So many people I know sports betting, it's so bad.
- 7:54SPEAKER_01: So quit sports betting and just start putting money into a ETF or anything's better than what most of the people my age are doing.
- 8:03SPEAKER_01: I mean, I'm not gonna I'm not gonna be sad or upset or anything about that.
- 8:08SPEAKER_01: I'm just gonna be like awesome, like you're finally starting to get it.
- 8:11SPEAKER_03: Yeah, that's so good.
- 8:12SPEAKER_03: Because most people, um, most people don't do anything like you said.
- 8:16SPEAKER_03: So just even doing any one of these is better than it.
- 8:19SPEAKER_03: Um, and I know you mentioned sports betting.
- 8:21SPEAKER_03: Sports betting is like through the roof right now.
- 8:24SPEAKER_03: I don't even think you.
- 8:25SPEAKER_01: I was in a I was in a fraternity in college, and I I would I was guilty of it too.
- 8:30SPEAKER_01: If you're talking about like 30 dudes in a room just live betting, like every drive, everything.
- 8:38SPEAKER_01: Like it was insane.
- 8:39SPEAKER_01: Then they just keep giving you so much like free play when you lose money, like, oh, I'm gonna get it back, I'm gonna get it back.
- 8:44SPEAKER_01: And it's just a it's just a continuous thing.
- 8:47SPEAKER_01: Like when March madness comes, oh my gosh, you got like 50 dudes in a room with like whiteboards all around, like writing the odds, trying to get everything, and we're all just losing so much money.
- 9:01SPEAKER_00: It's crazy.
- 9:03SPEAKER_01: Well, I'm so glad I saw that when I started working with it, those people.
- 9:08SPEAKER_01: I was like, holy crap, I'm never gonna be anywhere close to these people if I keep throwing parlays and all this crazy stuff.
- 9:17SPEAKER_00: Yeah, that's not how they were building wealth, that's for sure.
- 9:21SPEAKER_02: No, it's not.
- 9:22SPEAKER_02: No.
- 9:23SPEAKER_02: Yes, they hit those parlays every day.
- 9:26SPEAKER_02: They were swinging those parlays.
- 9:28SPEAKER_00: Oh man, I used to get so mad.
- 9:30SPEAKER_00: I mean, we've Anthony's done a couple bets here and there.
- 9:32SPEAKER_00: It's never been like a better gambler.
- 9:35SPEAKER_00: It's it's but I'm always like, this is the stupidest thing.
- 9:39SPEAKER_00: This is the stupidest thing.
- 9:40SPEAKER_00: I like have I don't I like scratch, even scratchers pissed me off because I'm like, what you're even if you win ten dollars, you spill you actually spent ten dollars for the scratcher, so you won zero dollars.
- 9:52SPEAKER_00: So like this this whole like dopamine hit, right?
- 9:56SPEAKER_00: For these people who are like, yeah, I got 10 bucks, and I'm like, no, you didn't.
- 10:00SPEAKER_00: You you broke even, and that was a waste of time.
- 10:03SPEAKER_00: Like it was a total waste of time.
- 10:05SPEAKER_00: I got to do that.
- 10:07SPEAKER_01: Since they won ten, they're gonna go buy five more, and they're just yeah, yeah.
- 10:12SPEAKER_01: It never ends.
- 10:13SPEAKER_03: Yeah, it's so funny.
- 10:15SPEAKER_03: Uh betting is like the weirdest, the weirdest thing.
- 10:18SPEAKER_03: Cause I would do it.
- 10:20SPEAKER_03: It feels so good when you hear it.
- 10:21SPEAKER_03: Yeah, it's yeah, it feels so good when you hear, but then like when you're like, I swear, they're like, it's like they know this is how betting works.
- 10:29SPEAKER_03: It's like they know I just placed a bet and they know what I need, and now they're not gonna do it.
- 10:36SPEAKER_03: They know what I need, and if they know, like if I need them to score 20 points, you know how much he's gonna score?
- 10:43SPEAKER_01: They're gonna pull him out.
- 10:44SPEAKER_01: 19 levels.
- 10:44SPEAKER_01: They're gonna pull him out.
- 10:45SPEAKER_01: They're gonna pull them out.
- 10:46SPEAKER_01: It's rigged, it's all rigged.
- 10:47SPEAKER_01: That's another reason why I stopped because all these athletes started getting like investigated for rigging it, like they were getting paid to throw games.
- 10:56SPEAKER_00: And yeah, yeah.
- 10:59SPEAKER_01: So whenever I see someone doing that, I'm like, dude, you have to stop.
- 11:02SPEAKER_01: Please, please.
- 11:03SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah.
- 11:04SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 11:04SPEAKER_00: Well, thank God they have you in your corner because yeah, everyone needs someone like you, Logan.
- 11:08SPEAKER_03: Everyone needs a Logan in their corner.
- 11:10SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 11:10SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 11:11SPEAKER_00: Stop doing that.
- 11:12SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 11:13SPEAKER_00: Well, and it's great because you had the exposure of these successful people.
- 11:17SPEAKER_00: And, you know, I was I grew up in an environment where there were a lot of successful people around me, and I feel like it allowed me to see what's what's available, you know, it allowed me to see like a different life of like level of life where you could be like, wow, I could live like that, you know, like, oh, I didn't even know that existed.
- 11:35SPEAKER_00: I didn't even know you could have a, you know, an elevator in your house, you know, like I didn't eat those types of things where you're like, this never would have crossed my mind had I not come to this person's, you know, house and like was invited to dinner or whatever, right?
- 11:49SPEAKER_00: So being exposed, your environment is everything for sure.
- 11:53SPEAKER_00: Um and yeah, just having that right mindset around it too.
- 11:57SPEAKER_00: But when was it like the specific moment that Bitcoin like came into your life?
- 12:01SPEAKER_00: Like what year or you took it seriously.
- 12:04SPEAKER_03: So you can't taking it seriously.
- 12:08SPEAKER_01: Probably I I joined X November of 2025, and I just joined it because I just I felt like I could contribute to the conversation because like I was just like a quiet, like I didn't post anything.
- 12:23SPEAKER_01: I would just read and I would just read, and in November, that's kind of when like the price started coming down, and they're just insane.
- 12:31SPEAKER_01: The takes were just insane what I was reading.
- 12:34SPEAKER_01: I'm reading like people like there's just so much arguing, like it's gonna be in a million in a month, or people saying there's just the the two sides of the extremes are insane.
- 12:46SPEAKER_01: It's either like it's going to zero tomorrow, or it's going to a million tomorrow.
- 12:49SPEAKER_01: And I'm just like, all these people, like I just need to come in and talk and bring like a voice in the middle where it's like, okay, well, it might go to a million, and it's probably not gonna go to zero tomorrow.
- 13:02SPEAKER_01: Like, there just needed to be someone who wasn't so like emotionally attacking people all the time.
- 13:09SPEAKER_01: Like, I I would just read and oh my gosh, like maybe there is a a space for me on here where I can come in and be like try and be a reasonable voice of reason.
- 13:21SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah.
- 13:23SPEAKER_00: So what year was that around?
- 13:25SPEAKER_00: Okay, November of last year.
- 13:26SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 13:27SPEAKER_00: So that's kind of was that when you got introduced to Bitcoin, or was it earlier than that?
- 13:31SPEAKER_01: No, I've been buying Bitcoin since about 2022.
- 13:34SPEAKER_01: Uh but in 2022 I didn't know, I didn't know anything about it.
- 13:38SPEAKER_01: I was just buying it because I I just saw how much it could go up, probably, and I was like, oh, and then I went through a bunch of dumb crypto stuff that went along with sports betting and oh gosh.
- 13:53SPEAKER_01: And then probably around last summer's when I was like, okay.
- 13:58SPEAKER_01: It's like I finally understood what it was, and I was like, okay, I need to stop paying attention to all this other dumb stuff on Coinbase or whatever that keeps getting flooded in front of me and just focus on stacking Bitcoin when I was young.
- 14:13SPEAKER_03: Nines was there like a book or a podcast that kind of helped you uh build that conviction to just be like, okay, now it's Bitcoin only.
- 14:23SPEAKER_01: Um, I mean, there is a bunch of people that I follow who posted a lot of good stuff, but really it was just sitting back in that group chat and just how they discussed stuff, and uh they were they're all very smart people.
- 14:34SPEAKER_03: Nice.
- 14:35SPEAKER_03: Um so once you started learning about all this, so it sounds like it was from these wealthy people from X, from being a voice, and then probably just getting hate on X too.
- 14:46SPEAKER_01: I feel like you were getting hate from the extremes of like it's not going to a million, and then people were like, you're either you either need to think is going to a million tomorrow or think is gonna die.
- 14:57SPEAKER_01: I'm like, all right.
- 15:00SPEAKER_00: You're like, how about we just stay in the middle and just see what happens?
- 15:03SPEAKER_00: Why don't we just like hang on and then just see what happens?
- 15:06SPEAKER_00: I think that's um that's an important skill.
- 15:08SPEAKER_00: It's patience, it's patience.
- 15:10SPEAKER_00: That's what Bitcoin teaches you, is patience.
- 15:12SPEAKER_00: We were just talking to someone, and I'm like, yeah, that's exactly what it does.
- 15:15SPEAKER_00: It teaches you to delay that gratification, right?
- 15:19SPEAKER_00: To know that it's a process, to know that it's eventually gonna do what it's supposed to do.
- 15:24SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 15:25SPEAKER_00: Um, but yeah.
- 15:26SPEAKER_03: Um, also to add on this, so like once you started learning about like inflation and did it change the way you viewed the financial situation, like your generation's inheriting right now.
- 15:35SPEAKER_03: Because I do feel like Gen Z is like the bottom of the barrel when it comes to like what you guys are going through with this debasement going on.
- 15:45SPEAKER_01: So I'm a I'm a COVID graduate.
- 15:47SPEAKER_01: I graduated college during COVID, and that I mean, I graduated high school during COVID and that was terrible.
- 15:54SPEAKER_01: I lost my senior sports year.
- 15:56SPEAKER_01: Graduation, everyone had to be, you couldn't touch anybody, everyone was all spread out.
- 16:00SPEAKER_01: And then I went to college my freshman year during COVID, and you were locked in your dorm.
- 16:05SPEAKER_01: You couldn't go see anybody, you all your classes were online, it's terrible.
- 16:09SPEAKER_01: And so the only thing I did was just go out and work and then come back and be locked in my dorm.
- 16:15SPEAKER_01: And then I'm going out and going to work and just trying to make some money, and that's when these COVID stimulus checks start to hit.
- 16:22SPEAKER_01: And I'm just like, how is like, where is this?
- 16:24SPEAKER_01: That's that's really what like got my brain turning.
- 16:27SPEAKER_01: I'm like, all these people are getting all this money, like, how is it possible?
- 16:30SPEAKER_01: And I'm just reading about like holy crap, they just print money all the time, and yeah, that's really what started the little thing in my brain.
- 16:39SPEAKER_01: I'm just like, oh my gosh, it's just coming all over the place, like all this money just keeps coming and coming and coming and coming.
- 16:47SPEAKER_01: And I'm I was just so angry sitting in my dorm, I'll never forget it.
- 16:50SPEAKER_01: I'm like, oh my gosh.
- 16:53SPEAKER_03: I know.
- 16:54SPEAKER_03: And then that's when I'll 2020 is a light bulb year too for a lot of people, right?
- 16:58SPEAKER_03: Whether it's like, hey, I don't know how I feel about uh the pharmaceutical industry and then also like finances.
- 17:04SPEAKER_03: Well, I think a lot of people who were like, I think you if you had a brain and you would see like, hey, this is wrong, right?
- 17:11SPEAKER_03: Like money is like falling from the skies.
- 17:13SPEAKER_03: People are not working and they're getting more money than what they were doing when they were working.
- 17:17SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 17:18SPEAKER_03: Which now, fast forward, I really think that like screwed everything up for a lot of people's mindset because now they're like, I don't want to work, I don't want to do anything, I don't want to anybody.
- 17:27SPEAKER_03: I think they have this thing like I'm worth way more than what they were because of that they got these checks back then and for doing nothing.
- 17:34SPEAKER_03: For doing nothing.
- 17:35SPEAKER_03: Um, so it's just interesting.
- 17:37SPEAKER_03: And then I I'm always pumped up to uh interview like uh Gen Zers because I think you just posted like yesterday or the day before.
- 17:44SPEAKER_03: Uh you're like, hey, are we early?
- 17:45SPEAKER_03: Like, am I just really super early or am I retarded?
- 17:51SPEAKER_03: And I'm like, no, dude, you're not retarded.
- 17:54SPEAKER_01: You're everything's going a thousand percent, and I'm sitting here like, dang, like obviously, this is like my first cycle where uh I'm connected and on the internet and focusing on it every day.
- 18:08SPEAKER_01: And so it's just like gosh, like I see all these other people I'm connecting with, just like their stocks are just boom, boom, like all these AI stocks just going crazy.
- 18:18SPEAKER_01: I'm just sitting here like, yeah, you know, Bitcoin's eventually I still believe in it.
- 18:24SPEAKER_01: It's just getting real quiet.
- 18:28SPEAKER_03: So when you like, so I'm just curious now, Logan.
- 18:31SPEAKER_03: So, like, I honestly feel like just learning from you and just kind of like following you on X too, like your education and your financial literacy level is a lot higher than a lot of people your age right now.
- 18:41SPEAKER_03: Um, when you're talking to your friends, like, well, are you that weird Bitcoin guy?
- 18:44SPEAKER_03: Are they like, don't talk about Bitcoin next to us, or like or or are you actually pretty chill about it, or you're just like, hey, I'm only gonna talk about Bitcoin on X?
- 18:53SPEAKER_01: No, I am the guys that before we hang out, they're like, don't talk about Bitcoin.
- 18:58SPEAKER_01: I'm like, okay, I have I have a group meet of people who want to join every time, anytime they want to, and it's about 17 kids my age, and I just send like recurring news, like updates, and I've had it for about six months now.
- 19:16SPEAKER_01: I was inspired by that other group chat I was in with the older guys, so I made one for people my age.
- 19:21SPEAKER_01: I think there's 17 people in it right now.
- 19:23SPEAKER_01: So that's where I try and keep most of it.
- 19:26SPEAKER_01: Yeah, obviously I talk to my friends about it some, and some of my friends do like it, but some of my friends like it.
- 19:35SPEAKER_01: And that's fine.
- 19:36SPEAKER_01: That's you know, I might like like we talked about before.
- 19:40SPEAKER_01: I can't build that conviction in you.
- 19:44SPEAKER_01: I can't build that desire to learn about it in you.
- 19:47SPEAKER_01: You know, that's kind of just uh personal thing.
- 19:50SPEAKER_00: Mm-hmm.
- 19:51SPEAKER_00: Yeah, definitely.
- 19:52SPEAKER_00: That's so that is such a cool idea though, to start a a group me, like a a a chat and where you guys can connect.
- 19:59SPEAKER_00: Um did you just like post it around?
- 20:01SPEAKER_00: I'm just curious because like that might be a way for the other thing.
- 20:03SPEAKER_01: If there's like someone Yeah, if there's like someone my age on X and we talk every now and then, I'll be like, hey, you want to join a group me of people my age?
- 20:12SPEAKER_01: Or if there's someone in my real life who I have a lot of people like I've posted about it before on social media is about Bitcoin, so I'll get messages from people randomly like, hey, like you own any, do you see what happened today and the price?
- 20:25SPEAKER_01: And I'm like, yeah, yeah.
- 20:27SPEAKER_01: And maybe we'll talk about it a little bit.
- 20:28SPEAKER_01: And I'll be like, hey, you want to join a group me and with some other people our age?
- 20:32SPEAKER_01: And I just send like news updating if you want to learn about it.
- 20:35SPEAKER_01: And they're like, Yeah, not many other people say anything, but people will like like the message or text me privately.
- 20:41SPEAKER_01: I think Bitcoin to like most people, it's not like a derogatory term, but they're just they don't want to talk about it in public for whatever reason.
- 20:51SPEAKER_01: It's kind of funny.
- 20:53SPEAKER_01: It's like Jesus, right?
- 20:54SPEAKER_03: And like all of a sudden, like, oh, everyone's like, Oh, they said Jesus, you know.
- 20:58SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I get those vibes when I talk about it uh, you know, in public, you know.
- 21:02SPEAKER_03: I'm like, I go to the gas station and I'm like, hey, uh, do you guys accept Bitcoin?
- 21:07SPEAKER_03: And they're just like, what?
- 21:08SPEAKER_03: So the one girl was like, she's like, huh?
- 21:11SPEAKER_03: And then the other was like, no, we don't accept that stuff here, man.
- 21:14SPEAKER_01: And then I was like, Oh, you're one of those crypto bros.
- 21:17SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 21:18SPEAKER_03: I'm like, I'm only asking because you guys have a Bitcoin machine here in your guys' actual station.
- 21:23SPEAKER_03: Like, I'm not just like coming out the blue with it.
- 21:25SPEAKER_03: And then she was like, That's a great question.
- 21:28SPEAKER_03: And he's like, No, get out of here.
- 21:29SPEAKER_03: We don't do all that.
- 21:30SPEAKER_03: Oh, I'm just asking, you know, I'll pay for it in here.
- 21:33SPEAKER_03: But that's actually one of my favorite things now I do is like I'll just like ask people, like, hey, do you accept Bitcoin?
- 21:39SPEAKER_03: Uh, just to get people's wheels turning whenever I pay for stuff.
- 21:42SPEAKER_03: Because, like you said, it's not a derogatory term anymore, right?
- 21:45SPEAKER_03: I think way more people have heard about it, at least.
- 21:48SPEAKER_03: Presidents talk about it, Congress talks about it, the media talks about it, whether you like it or not.
- 21:53SPEAKER_03: So I'm always like, Well, let me take it to the next level, like in person, right?
- 21:57SPEAKER_03: And I one thing I learned from this podcast is.
- 22:00SPEAKER_03: Is like we need to like what's gonna help adoption is like spending Bitcoin, right?
- 22:04SPEAKER_03: Is and talking about it in person.
- 22:06SPEAKER_03: So that's something I'm doing a lot more now uh with uh Bitcoin in in in person.
- 22:11SPEAKER_00: I think it's also comes from a place of fear too, right?
- 22:13SPEAKER_00: Because like people are probably scared that like everything that they've been taught, which is is scary, is not true, you know, and it's not giving them the life that they thought it was going to give them, right?
- 22:25SPEAKER_00: And so when you're talking to people about Bitcoin, they're going, Well, like I've one, like my dad didn't do it, you know, or like this isn't actually like real money, or oh, it's just like betting, or there's a cat.
- 22:39SPEAKER_00: There's a cat.
- 22:40SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 22:41SPEAKER_00: Um, but like those types of conversations are hard for people because one, it's new, but two, it's also probably like putting a mirror to their face and going, hey, like everything we were taught is false.
- 22:53SPEAKER_00: And so now we're probably gonna have to transition out of the system that we grew up in.
- 22:58SPEAKER_00: And that's intimidating.
- 22:59SPEAKER_00: It was intimidating for me because when he started talking about it, I'm like, dude, what are you talking about?
- 23:04SPEAKER_00: Like, what are you talking about?
- 23:05SPEAKER_01: You sound crazy, you're conspiracy theorists.
- 23:08SPEAKER_00: I'm like, what are you talking about?
- 23:09SPEAKER_00: I'm like, okay, well, if you feel like, and he was just like, and I obviously married him, I trust him.
- 23:15SPEAKER_00: But I was like, all right, let's yeah, let's see where this goes.
- 23:18SPEAKER_00: We'll put some some money in it.
- 23:20SPEAKER_03: This is what we're doing, and that's it, all right, lady.
- 23:23SPEAKER_00: That's not how the conversation it was it was important for like for me to even kind of see that, oh yeah, this is like like what he's talking about makes sense, you know?
- 23:37SPEAKER_00: Because that's when my wheel started turning too, Logan, in 2020 when everyone was getting stimulus checks.
- 23:42SPEAKER_00: He was doing loans at the time.
- 23:44SPEAKER_00: People were buying houses like crazy in 2020.
- 23:47SPEAKER_00: And I was like, how the hell, how how is anyone affording a house right now?
- 23:52SPEAKER_02: Like uh stimmies.
- 23:55SPEAKER_00: I'm like, no one's working.
- 23:56SPEAKER_00: How are you buying a house?
- 23:58SPEAKER_00: You know, it was it was like trippy to me.
- 24:01SPEAKER_00: That's when I was like, there is something wrong with that.
- 24:03SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I need to know what inflation was when I was like a freshman in college.
- 24:07SPEAKER_01: Like, I never even didn't take any financial classes in high school or anything.
- 24:12SPEAKER_01: And so I'm just like, this is like destroying the money that I'm sitting here working for like, I don't know who I worked in the campus dining hall in college.
- 24:21SPEAKER_01: It was like$7.25 an hour.
- 24:24SPEAKER_01: Oh, just like, gosh, what the heck?
- 24:26SPEAKER_01: I'd make more money getting a stimulus check than I do working like three months here.
- 24:32SPEAKER_00: Totally.
- 24:33SPEAKER_00: That's and that's what happened.
- 24:34SPEAKER_00: Everyone was kind of like, man, I don't want to, I don't want to work, I want to get a STIMI.
- 24:38SPEAKER_03: Yeah, you know.
- 24:40SPEAKER_03: This episode is brought to you by MicroC.
- 24:42SPEAKER_03: MicroC engraves your entire Bitcoin C phrase onto fireproof, waterproof, steel, or titanium.
- 24:48SPEAKER_03: Small enough to fit in your palm, strong enough to last a lifetime.
- 24:51SPEAKER_03: It's durable, easy to hide, and built for secure storage.
- 24:54SPEAKER_00: If your sea phrase is still on paper, it's time to upgrade and take self-custody to the next level.
- 25:00SPEAKER_00: Because not your keys, not your coins.
- 25:02SPEAKER_00: Go to microscopio and use code LUNALUNA for a discount or check the link in the description below.
- 25:09SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 25:10SPEAKER_03: The other thing I was I wanted to ask you was like, I know like health and fitness are obviously a huge deal for you.
- 25:15SPEAKER_03: Um, was Bitcoin play a part of that, or you already were doing that before?
- 25:19SPEAKER_03: Like um, just because I know Bitcoin trickles down into everything.
- 25:23SPEAKER_01: Honestly, I think my health and fitness is kind of what led me to that.
- 25:28SPEAKER_01: Just kind of like realizing that.
- 25:33SPEAKER_01: So when after I had surgery on both my shoulders, I was so fat.
- 25:38SPEAKER_01: I was so out of shape.
- 25:39SPEAKER_01: I couldn't even do like three push-ups.
- 25:41SPEAKER_01: Oh my gosh, it was so bad.
- 25:42SPEAKER_01: And I was just like, okay, I'm gonna get as strong as possible, as fast as possible.
- 25:46SPEAKER_01: So I ate as much as I could all the time, like every day.
- 25:50SPEAKER_01: I was just like stuffing frozen pizzas and burritos and all this stuff.
- 25:54SPEAKER_01: And I got really strong, but I was like 250 pounds and I couldn't walk up the steps.
- 25:59SPEAKER_01: And so I was just like, okay, I'm trying to do all this too fast.
- 26:02SPEAKER_01: Like I I just need to slow down.
- 26:05SPEAKER_01: I need to get my I need to get my calories right.
- 26:09SPEAKER_01: I need to know what I'm eating, I need to track that.
- 26:11SPEAKER_01: And it's kind of the same thing financially.
- 26:13SPEAKER_01: You know what you're spending, you know how much you're making.
- 26:16SPEAKER_01: And it was just for health and fitness, I was like, okay, I need to set like a goal a year out.
- 26:20SPEAKER_01: I don't need to set a goal like a month out because that's that's not reasonable in the gym, you know.
- 26:25SPEAKER_01: You can work out for a month and you won't and you won't see anything, but then one random day, six months later, you'll look in the mirror and be like, hey, like, you know, that's nice.
- 26:34SPEAKER_01: And it's the same work.
- 26:37SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 26:38SPEAKER_01: And if you're investing, just like checking it every day, it's like, okay, did I double my money yet?
- 26:44SPEAKER_01: Like, oh, did it go up 10% yet?
- 26:46SPEAKER_01: Like, no, it's been two weeks.
- 26:47SPEAKER_01: Like, it was just changing my time of focus for the gym, and I think that just played a part into Bitcoin as well.
- 26:54SPEAKER_01: Wow, that's being able to look that far out.
- 26:57SPEAKER_03: Yeah, like having that long-term focus too, right?
- 27:00SPEAKER_03: Yeah, and then uh the slow time preference.
- 27:03SPEAKER_03: Um, so at 250, like, so how long did that I'm 190 right now?
- 27:08SPEAKER_03: Nice.
- 27:08SPEAKER_03: So, like, how long did it take you to like go down like 60 pounds?
- 27:13SPEAKER_03: Like, that's no walk in the park.
- 27:16SPEAKER_01: It wasn't, no.
- 27:18SPEAKER_01: I was eating like tuna for dinner.
- 27:20SPEAKER_01: Um, I would I wouldn't get on the treadmill.
- 27:22SPEAKER_01: I was so determined, uh, but it it took a toll when I got down to like one, I got down to like 170, and I was like, oh my gosh.
- 27:31SPEAKER_01: So I did both extremes.
- 27:32SPEAKER_01: I got really fat and I was like, okay, I gotta eat healthier and do a bunch of cardio.
- 27:37SPEAKER_01: And then I got down to 170, and I was just so hungry all the time, so tired, so cranky.
- 27:43SPEAKER_01: And that was when I was like, okay, that that's when I need to find the middle ground of this and not trying to do everything so fast and quick.
- 27:50SPEAKER_01: I don't need to get really strong in the next three months, and I don't need to get really ripped in the next three months.
- 27:55SPEAKER_01: I just need to start building a base of strength.
- 27:58SPEAKER_04: And yeah.
- 28:00SPEAKER_03: Wow.
- 28:00SPEAKER_03: So it's wild.
- 28:02SPEAKER_03: So it's like you've always been in the middle of everything.
- 28:05SPEAKER_03: So you the extreme for your weight, right?
- 28:10SPEAKER_03: You're like, this is bad.
- 28:11SPEAKER_03: The like I'm so hungry at 170 on X.
- 28:15SPEAKER_03: You're like, the extreme, the extreme of everyone saying that Bitcoin's going to a million.
- 28:20SPEAKER_01: I think that's also why I noticed that I needed to be a voice in the middle.
- 28:24SPEAKER_01: Like, okay, we're like just middle.
- 28:28SPEAKER_01: We can just stack and not want to kill people who don't own Bitcoin and not want to kill people who think it's going to a million tomorrow.
- 28:35SPEAKER_01: We can just stack and discuss like normal people without attacking everybody.
- 28:41SPEAKER_01: Yeah, that's really good.
- 28:43SPEAKER_00: I think anyone in the fitness world, too, it's like they know that it's gonna take time for those results to come in, you know.
- 28:51SPEAKER_00: It's going, I mean, not they don't know maybe initially, but they know it's a process that everyone has to go through.
- 28:58SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 29:00SPEAKER_00: It's unfortunate.
- 29:02SPEAKER_01: The dirty bulk.
- 29:03SPEAKER_01: Everybody has to go through a dirty bulk once to realize that no, you can't just get super strong eating frozen pizzas and for sure.
- 29:14SPEAKER_03: The um so right now, like um what what what would you say right now from what you're seeing with your friends and just in general, biggest mistake people are making your age right now.
- 29:27SPEAKER_02: What do you think about that?
- 29:29SPEAKER_01: I don't want to hate on a couple of my friends have bought like new 2026 cars, and you know, they're very nice cars, and it's awesome that you can do that, but I'm I'm talking with them and they're like, Yeah, I just can't even imagine if I was investing this car payment right now, and I'm like, dude, I because obviously I don't know if you I have to buy a car soon, and so I've been talking to them about how they bought a car, and I'm like, well, I'm not trying to buy a new one because I'm not trying to spend 800 bucks a month on the brand new car.
- 29:57SPEAKER_01: So I would definitely say buying buying a new new cars at 20, even though I really want a Tesla so bad, but I'm not gonna do it.
- 30:04SPEAKER_01: Um yeah.
- 30:06SPEAKER_03: New cars and would you say like even just educating themselves?
- 30:11SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 30:13SPEAKER_01: Not many people are motivated or they don't feel rushed to start thinking of putting money away for that far away.
- 30:23SPEAKER_01: It's at 24, you know, we we all just left college like a year and a half ago.
- 30:29SPEAKER_01: We were all just going to like wing night at the local dive bar and doing a bunch of fun stuff, and now we're all separate.
- 30:38SPEAKER_01: No God.
- 30:40SPEAKER_01: Now we're now we're all separated and living.
- 30:44SPEAKER_00: I was like a pitcher here.
- 30:47SPEAKER_01: I'm just kidding.
- 30:48SPEAKER_01: I'm just kidding with him.
- 30:49SPEAKER_01: It's crazy.
- 30:50SPEAKER_02: I'm just kidding.
- 30:51SPEAKER_01: Now we're all separated and like actual grown-ups, and uh I don't think it's it hit me pretty fast, at least like when I left college and I'm sitting here, I'm like, crap, I can just like sit here and show up to my job five days a week, and no one would really say anything.
- 31:07SPEAKER_01: But I'm a teacher and I have all this free time and have all these breaks.
- 31:12SPEAKER_01: Like I I think I can do more than and I just feel inclined to do more.
- 31:17SPEAKER_01: And hopefully getting just personal trainer's license, I'll be able to do that on nights and weekends, and I'd like to do some of that online.
- 31:26SPEAKER_01: Nice.
- 31:27SPEAKER_00: That's really cool.
- 31:28SPEAKER_00: That's awesome.
- 31:29SPEAKER_00: Well, and you have a background in it.
- 31:30SPEAKER_00: So have you always wanted to be a PE teacher and coach, or like did that kind of like yeah.
- 31:36SPEAKER_01: I wanted to do physical therapy, and then I had both these surgeries on my shoulders, and I was in physical therapy for like three and a half years, and I got to that part in college during I got to organic chemistry.
- 31:49SPEAKER_01: I did my first two years in exercise science, and we were getting to like physical therapy classes and stuff, and I'm just like, gosh, I hate this.
- 31:57SPEAKER_01: Like, I I just realized I did not want to work with like old people who are really sore and stuff like that.
- 32:03SPEAKER_01: Like, I just I love playing sports, I love get being up and moving around.
- 32:08SPEAKER_01: And I was coaching the local high school team near my college in baseball.
- 32:11SPEAKER_01: I was assistant coaching, and I was like, I love this.
- 32:14SPEAKER_01: So I was like, screw it, you know, I'll try out health and physical education and nutrition.
- 32:19SPEAKER_01: And we would go out to schools, and I just realized right away, I was like, Yeah, these kids love me.
- 32:23SPEAKER_01: Like I'm I'm very good with kids.
- 32:26SPEAKER_01: Yeah, dude, that's great.
- 32:28SPEAKER_00: It's a niche, like you have to you have to be able to, and especially in PE, I feel like you're kind of like out in the open, you know.
- 32:36SPEAKER_00: So it's like, you know, to be able to corral kids back and like make them help them focus.
- 32:42SPEAKER_01: Yeah, organized chaos is what everyone calls it.
- 32:46SPEAKER_00: Yeah, exactly.
- 32:47SPEAKER_01: And other teachers come in, they're like, what the heck is going on?
- 32:49SPEAKER_01: I'm like, no, you can't see the vision.
- 32:51SPEAKER_01: Like, there's a vision here of stuff going on.
- 32:55SPEAKER_00: And it's gonna be awesome and just close the door behind you, okay?
- 32:58SPEAKER_00: Just just know we're we're gonna have a good time.
- 33:01SPEAKER_01: Plus, these kids need it.
- 33:02SPEAKER_01: Like, oh my gosh.
- 33:04SPEAKER_01: I I guess you have kids, and so I'm sure if you see other kids, you understand that the kids these days, oh my gosh.
- 33:11SPEAKER_01: I mean, I'm looking at their lunches, it's like Chips Ahoy, Pringles, and like Gogurt, and they're all I mean, there it there is an obesity epidemic in children, it's very bad.
- 33:24SPEAKER_01: And we take these kids, we feed them straight sugar all day, and then they're five years old, and they can't sit down in a class and learn, and so they go get tested for ADHD, and then they get put on all this medicine, and then they're like a zombie.
- 33:37SPEAKER_01: Like I've I've seen so many kids just like completely change their personality, just and they're like five years old, like getting put on medicine, and it's really sad.
- 33:46SPEAKER_01: Um they need they need to exercise, they need to exercise.
- 33:50SPEAKER_01: Like they they could run for hours if I let them.
- 33:54SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 33:54SPEAKER_00: They they want to, exactly.
- 33:56SPEAKER_00: That's the thing.
- 33:58SPEAKER_00: They want, they do.
- 33:59SPEAKER_00: They might even my our daughter today.
- 34:01SPEAKER_00: We went on, she just got her a new bike.
- 34:04SPEAKER_00: She's like super pumped up about it, which also very pumped up about it, and I'm glad she loves it.
- 34:09SPEAKER_00: But we can't always be riding bikes, like we have things to do in the house and stuff.
- 34:14SPEAKER_00: But you they do, they love being active.
- 34:16SPEAKER_00: As soon as I as soon as a kid's upset or anything, you put take them outside, they're a different person immediately, you know, and like they're just like their their hormones.
- 34:26SPEAKER_00: I don't know, something happens where they just shift.
- 34:29SPEAKER_01: And it is really sad that there is that epidemic of a obesity problem because um obesity, ADHD, it's it's very they go home and uh they're just in front of a screen for four to six hours before they go to bed, and so they don't really exercise there.
- 34:48SPEAKER_01: Then they wake up, eat a Pop Tart for breakfast full of sugar, and then for lunch they have chips of hoy Pringles.
- 34:54SPEAKER_01: I the lunches I see are insane.
- 34:56SPEAKER_01: I try to and so they're fed with sugar all day, they don't exercise at home, and then they can't sit in a desk, and then they get sent to like, oh, your child can't sit still.
- 35:09SPEAKER_01: Yeah, it's just a cycle, like it's just like a it doesn't stop.
- 35:13SPEAKER_04: Mm-hmm.
- 35:14SPEAKER_01: So I I love being able to be the person that can take these kids and just get them super tired and exercise.
- 35:21SPEAKER_00: Oh, that's so good.
- 35:22SPEAKER_00: I'm sure you're awesome at it.
- 35:23SPEAKER_00: You have a great you you have a great personality to do that too.
- 35:27SPEAKER_00: I feel like I could see how your students probably totally buy with you and enjoy, you know, learning with you.
- 35:33SPEAKER_00: And that's such an impactful thing to be able to give them because maybe at home, yeah, they don't have an example of of discipline or you know, following through on maybe something that's super hard, you know, that growth mindset of just being willing to hey, take one more step.
- 35:48SPEAKER_00: You never know.
- 35:48SPEAKER_00: You're pretty capable of hard things.
- 35:50SPEAKER_00: So I think that's awesome.
- 35:52SPEAKER_00: I I think that's such a great skill to be able to to give to kids for sure.
- 35:56SPEAKER_03: So they're all young, but uh is it elementary school?
- 35:59SPEAKER_01: It's kindergarten all the way through tenth grade.
- 36:03SPEAKER_01: Oh, okay.
- 36:04SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 36:04SPEAKER_00: Through tenth or twelfth, you said?
- 36:06SPEAKER_01: Tenth.
- 36:07SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 36:08SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 36:09SPEAKER_00: Gotcha.
- 36:09SPEAKER_01: They're they're expanding slowly.
- 36:12SPEAKER_00: Oh, that's really neat.
- 36:13SPEAKER_00: That's awesome.
- 36:14SPEAKER_00: I feel like a lot of schools are now going to the uh K through twelve uh Yeah. 'Cause we homeschool our kids right now.
- 36:19SPEAKER_03: There's like this in in 2020, going back to 2020, right?
- 36:22SPEAKER_03: There was like this huge exodus where everybody was like leaving public schools and they were going into uh homeschool.
- 36:28SPEAKER_03: Well, I don't I can't speak for other cities, but in California, it was huge.
- 36:32SPEAKER_03: So everybody went from like homeschool teaching.
- 36:34SPEAKER_03: So now everybody shifted out to public from public schools out into homeschool.
- 36:39SPEAKER_03: So now they're like trying to regulate and trying to bring them back.
- 36:42SPEAKER_03: Like it's it's crazy because that's where they get their funding from.
- 36:46SPEAKER_03: And so they're like, hey, our funding is like not here.
- 36:49SPEAKER_03: And so how do we make strict rules and regulation on these people outside or bring them back in to like so now we're like having you know to corral them into their like their cycle, right?
- 37:01SPEAKER_03: Um, so it's just it's just very interesting.
- 37:04SPEAKER_03: Uh again, Bitcoin helps us with this too, right?
- 37:06SPEAKER_03: It just makes you think independently, like, hey, we want to be sovereign, we want to have control over our kids, their curriculum, on what they do, what they see, what we can pour into them.
- 37:14SPEAKER_03: Because I don't know how it's over there, but California, it's uh it's a little wild over here, like when it comes to like uh I can a little.
- 37:25SPEAKER_01: I don't think I'd work in a public school in California, probably not.
- 37:29SPEAKER_03: It's crazy.
- 37:30SPEAKER_03: It's crazy.
- 37:31SPEAKER_03: We have a lot of family and friends that are working it.
- 37:33SPEAKER_03: Um they're awesome, but again, like you can only you're only one person in a system, right?
- 37:38SPEAKER_03: And so you can only do so much.
- 37:39SPEAKER_03: You're kind of handcuffed a little bit on how you can outreach.
- 37:42SPEAKER_00: Um, but that was the most frustrating part of teaching for me.
- 37:47SPEAKER_00: I don't know if this is how you feel, and maybe maybe not, and obviously as you grow in your years of teaching and stuff, it's you know, perspective changes, grow your personal life changes.
- 37:59SPEAKER_00: So for me, um, it was frustrating because you would grow so much with this student, right?
- 38:04SPEAKER_00: And then and maybe they had, you know, really hard time sitting still.
- 38:09SPEAKER_00: So you adapted, you made all these, you know, accommodations, you really wanted to make see them grow, and you would do everything you could, and they'd have an awesome two days, right?
- 38:19SPEAKER_00: They go home and they're put in front of a screen or they're not paid attention to, and they come back the next day and you're at square one with this kid, and you're like, Oh my gosh, like your kid is so cool if you would just invest your time in that little kid, you know?
- 38:36SPEAKER_00: Like it's it was like the hardest thing for me because it was I would have conversations with parents and they'd say, Oh yeah, he's great at home.
- 38:44SPEAKER_00: And I'm like, You don't know your kid.
- 38:47SPEAKER_00: Like this immediately, you're just like, Yeah, this you don't know anything.
- 38:51SPEAKER_00: Like, what incentives does he like?
- 38:53SPEAKER_00: They're like, I never have to give him incentives.
- 38:55SPEAKER_00: I'm like, Yeah, because he's probably not being paid attention to the tablet.
- 38:58SPEAKER_00: Yep, exactly.
- 38:59SPEAKER_00: That's I love hearing how um also you incorporate your your teaching and you're learning a lot, obviously, in this Bitcoin space.
- 39:09SPEAKER_00: You also have a faith, I've heard.
- 39:11SPEAKER_00: And so how has that influenced the way you think about money, success, discipline, and just the kind of life that you want to build?
- 39:18SPEAKER_01: Well, yeah, that was I'm I don't know why I didn't talk about that earlier.
- 39:22SPEAKER_01: Uh sports spending all this time when I got when I f got baptized my junior year of college, I'm like, God is providing me with so much, and I'm throwing it, I'm just throwing it away.
- 39:34SPEAKER_01: Like, there's no way what I'm doing is what he wants me to do with my money.
- 39:38SPEAKER_01: Like, there's just no way.
- 39:41SPEAKER_01: There's this there's this talk on tithing, and I'm just like, gosh, like I'm probably they they want they say give at least like 10%.
- 39:50SPEAKER_01: I'm like, I'm definitely betting more than 10% of what I'm bringing in here in college.
- 39:55SPEAKER_01: And it was just it I was just like, gosh, I just looked down and shook my head.
- 39:59SPEAKER_00: It was eye-opening for you.
- 40:01SPEAKER_01: Yes, yes.
- 40:03SPEAKER_00: So has it like helped you kind of ha I'm sure, well, for us our faith is everything too, but I'm sure it's helped you in regards to like your discipline and just kind of the life you want to build for your future?
- 40:14SPEAKER_01: Oh, for sure.
- 40:15SPEAKER_01: I mean, build your life on there's such a good saying on building your life on like sand versus something.
- 40:24SPEAKER_01: I can't remember what it is, but it's such a good one.
- 40:28SPEAKER_03: Oh yeah, like uh building your found you want to build your foundation on rock, like on concrete, then like a sand because it doesn't matter.
- 40:35SPEAKER_03: It'll if if you would if you build it on sand, it could be like the best looking house.
- 40:39SPEAKER_03: But as soon as any little storm or wind comes, it's just like gone.
- 40:42SPEAKER_03: Uh no, I completely agree with you on that.
- 40:45SPEAKER_03: I know you did a uh um uh warehouse job, I think, this summer, and then you share with us like, hey, I need to start my own business or something or be my own business owner.
- 40:55SPEAKER_03: So everything you've learned so far, like in encompassing and having this mindset, where do you want it to take you?
- 41:00SPEAKER_01: Uh I guess short-term goals is get a car.
- 41:05SPEAKER_01: Uh, I need to have another surgery to help me sleep, pay that off, and then I would like to move out.
- 41:10SPEAKER_01: Obviously, you know, I can't live at home forever.
- 41:12SPEAKER_01: You know, I need to move out eventually.
- 41:15SPEAKER_01: Um, besides those short-term goals, you know, I I can uh that warehouse job was so eye-opening.
- 41:22SPEAKER_01: There's people that have worked there for like 35, 40 years, they just come you you literally just walk in, you don't say a word to anybody all day, you just stay at your station, you do the same thing every day, and then you leave.
- 41:35SPEAKER_01: And I can't I can't do it.
- 41:36SPEAKER_01: Oh my gosh.
- 41:37SPEAKER_01: Like I was very grateful they let me come in and work part-time for the just for the summer, like as much as I wanted to.
- 41:43SPEAKER_01: But oh my gosh, like every day I was there, I was like, oh, I'm just like scheming up stuff in my head.
- 41:49SPEAKER_01: I'm like, okay, once I get my personal trainer's license, like I need to make like a fitness page and start finding clients.
- 41:58SPEAKER_01: And like I was just like all day just scheming, like I gotta, I got I have to build my own business because like all these successful people, all they talk about is like, yeah, you need to build a business, probably.
- 42:08SPEAKER_01: Like, that's the way to make it.
- 42:10SPEAKER_01: Like, that's how you get your money to work for you when you're asleep.
- 42:14SPEAKER_01: Yeah, so you so I'm not having to do what I'm doing now and work all the time and work seven days a week.
- 42:19SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 42:20SPEAKER_03: I'm a I'm a huge believer in that too now, especially this podcast has shown me like you have to have your own brand, you have to have your own control of your own funds, uh, of what's going in and out.
- 42:28SPEAKER_03: Um, I know you mentioned a couple things there.
- 42:30SPEAKER_03: So uh surgery on your nose.
- 42:32SPEAKER_03: Um, and then also the other thing was I know you're living at your parents.
- 42:36SPEAKER_03: I'm gonna touch on this.
- 42:37SPEAKER_03: I actually I actually think it's a huge advantage right now with everything going on in the economy.
- 42:42SPEAKER_03: I think like taking it.
- 42:43SPEAKER_01: It definitely is.
- 42:44SPEAKER_01: You know, you're 24 post grad and you're living at home.
- 42:47SPEAKER_01: Like I'm not the only one doing it.
- 42:48SPEAKER_01: Obviously, like obviously the rates what I just saw a statistic to say the rates of adults 30 and under are higher than during the Great Depression that are living at home.
- 42:57SPEAKER_01: And it's just like, oh my gosh, like it's insane.
- 42:59SPEAKER_01: And I'm very grateful for it.
- 43:01SPEAKER_01: But you know, I can't stay here forever.
- 43:04SPEAKER_01: Yeah, like the goal should be to get out, but it it is helping me a lot build a foundation.
- 43:11SPEAKER_01: I'm I'm investing thousands and thousands that I wouldn't have been able to if I wasn't living here.
- 43:17SPEAKER_03: Yeah, and I think that's like so good.
- 43:20SPEAKER_03: And again, I'm sorry if I gave you the impression like stay there forever.
- 43:23SPEAKER_03: Like, no.
- 43:23SPEAKER_03: No, you did it.
- 43:24SPEAKER_01: No, it's just I there the the hate I get for it is insane, and not just on the extras from like friends I know, it's like, dude, you gotta get out of there.
- 43:34SPEAKER_01: I'm like, I know, but you know, I need a car, and I'm I'm building some stuff right now, okay?
- 43:40SPEAKER_01: It it helped pays off.
- 43:42SPEAKER_03: No, keep building, yeah, keep building, and who cares what they say.
- 43:46SPEAKER_03: Um it's it's always like the people outside are always louder than what they're actually like making moves on.
- 43:52SPEAKER_03: And so, like, just stay in your lane, focus, head down, you know, get your car, get your place, it'll all come.
- 43:59SPEAKER_03: And then Uh, with your nose, so what's going on with your nose?
- 44:02SPEAKER_03: You said you're having your second surgery on that.
- 44:05SPEAKER_01: I wish I I wish somebody knew.
- 44:07SPEAKER_01: Oh my gosh.
- 44:09SPEAKER_01: Uh it's a lot better than what it was before the first one, but still, I mean, it I don't know.
- 44:15SPEAKER_01: I I laid that ever anytime I tilt my head back for more than like 30 seconds, my nose just closes and you can't breathe through it.
- 44:21SPEAKER_01: So it just wakes me up multiple times a night.
- 44:23SPEAKER_01: It's like choking for air.
- 44:25SPEAKER_01: I just got a sleep apnea test done.
- 44:27SPEAKER_01: But yeah I the that that that wouldn't cause it.
- 44:31SPEAKER_01: They think it could just be like two things happen at the same time.
- 44:34SPEAKER_01: What they did was called a turbinate reduction, where they just kind of like open up the insides of your nose a little bit, like carve it out a little, but it didn't work.
- 44:44SPEAKER_01: He said he had to go conservative because if you take out too much the first time, you can get something called empty nose syndrome, where like it'll be so open that you breathe and you can't feel yourself breathing, and you'll like choke.
- 44:57SPEAKER_01: Like it's just like a mental disorder.
- 44:59SPEAKER_01: So he had to he had to take it very conservative the first time, and he says he can do more, but I don't know, it's it sucks.
- 45:07SPEAKER_01: I I'll never take sleeping for granted again.
- 45:10SPEAKER_00: It's have you always dealt with that like your whole life?
- 45:14SPEAKER_01: It just started randomly at Christmas.
- 45:18SPEAKER_03: Wow.
- 45:18SPEAKER_03: Oh my goodness.
- 45:20SPEAKER_00: That's really interesting.
- 45:21SPEAKER_03: That's tough.
- 45:22SPEAKER_00: It is it has you never broke your nose, you never like nothing, no accident or anything.
- 45:30SPEAKER_00: Wow, Logan.
- 45:32SPEAKER_00: That's really hard.
- 45:33SPEAKER_00: That's really hard.
- 45:34SPEAKER_00: Sleep is such an inequal part of life.
- 45:37SPEAKER_00: Like, like your overall life.
- 45:39SPEAKER_00: I know.
- 45:40SPEAKER_03: We're asleep half our lives.
- 45:42SPEAKER_00: That's that's really tough.
- 45:44SPEAKER_00: That's really tough.
- 45:54SPEAKER_01: Also grateful I had like an emergency fund of cash that I started.
- 45:58SPEAKER_01: That's another great thing I learned from ex people.
- 46:00SPEAKER_01: I I would have never thought that I needed to have some cash saved up in case something happened.
- 46:05SPEAKER_01: And here I am, two nose surgeries, and I need a new car.
- 46:09SPEAKER_01: Thank the Lord that I I listened to people who weren't in like these people don't own any Bitcoin, they're just very successful people.
- 46:16SPEAKER_01: And they're like, dude, you need an emergency fund.
- 46:18SPEAKER_01: Like, you never know what could happen.
- 46:19SPEAKER_01: I know you're living at home.
- 46:21SPEAKER_01: I was like, Yeah, but I just really want to buy as much Bitcoin as possible.
- 46:25SPEAKER_01: And they're like, You don't you you need to prepare for any situation.
- 46:29SPEAKER_01: I was like, Yeah, I guess that makes sense.
- 46:31SPEAKER_01: And so I started back in February, just like siphoning a little off every paycheck, and thank goodness I did.
- 46:38SPEAKER_04: Nice, I would have had to say, yeah.
- 46:42SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 46:43SPEAKER_00: Ah, for sure.
- 46:44SPEAKER_00: Well, yeah, I think you have I what's really neat about you is that you're willing to learn something new.
- 46:49SPEAKER_00: You're willing to, you know, listen to to great advice and take it in and absorb it and learn for learn it on your own and then be able to apply it to what you're doing in your life.
- 47:01SPEAKER_00: And I think that's such an important part.
- 47:02SPEAKER_00: And I think the Bitcoin community um is so positive.
- 47:06SPEAKER_00: And for the most part, obviously you're gonna have some people that are gonna argue that's a good thing.
- 47:09SPEAKER_00: Hate is going to hate.
- 47:10SPEAKER_00: Yeah, haters.
- 47:11SPEAKER_00: That's everywhere.
- 47:11SPEAKER_01: That's everywhere.
- 47:12SPEAKER_01: That's not just Bitcoin, that's everywhere.
- 47:15SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 47:15SPEAKER_00: But you know, I feel like you get that um, like you have your own personal filter system, right?
- 47:21SPEAKER_00: And so what's what's helpful is like as you're having these conversations, you or you're growing in your in your self-development, you're gonna have a filter system of the people that you want around you and the ones that you're like, I don't really want to listen to anymore.
- 47:33SPEAKER_00: And so I feel like you're you're really figuring out like what what are you about to say?
- 47:39SPEAKER_03: He's gonna block us out.
- 47:40SPEAKER_03: He's like, I'm gonna filter them out real quick.
- 47:43SPEAKER_01: I mean, how dumb would I be as a 24-year-old to be like, no, I know the I know the I know the only best way to retire soon and get rich.
- 47:55SPEAKER_01: Like, I'm not gonna pretend and sit here like I have this whole way of doing it that's correct.
- 48:02SPEAKER_01: I mean, I'm surrounded by all these people on X that are way more wealthy than me and are 30 years older than me.
- 48:11SPEAKER_01: With it's just it's an awesome network on there that I talk to so many people that teach me so much.
- 48:16SPEAKER_01: And but it would just be dumb of me to not take advice from anybody.
- 48:21SPEAKER_01: Totally.
- 48:22SPEAKER_01: Not all advice is gonna be good, but you can still listen to it, and there's no one way to financial freedom.
- 48:29SPEAKER_01: Like there's so many different stories, and you can pick different things from what each person did and be like, oh, that could kind of fit into what I'm going through right here, or you know.
- 48:40SPEAKER_03: Yeah, no, that's really good.
- 48:41SPEAKER_03: And a lot of people don't have that mindset.
- 48:43SPEAKER_03: If I can go back, like I don't want to go back because this is my journey, but like young Anthony, I think the only thing I would have done differently is like invest earlier because I'm very happy with our lives, like our lives are great, and I think it would be like next level if we just sort of locked in like for a year or two years or five years at your age, dude.
- 49:04SPEAKER_03: I I can't tell you.
- 49:05SPEAKER_03: I just shared this on the last episode too.
- 49:08SPEAKER_03: Like, for your age, Logan, like you're you're gonna be so uh shocked, like in six years when you're 30 and you're at keep doing what you're doing right now, just keep doing what you're doing.
- 49:20SPEAKER_03: You're gonna be so shocked where your life's where your life's gonna be at.
- 49:24SPEAKER_03: You're gonna be blown away because time flies and you're gonna be 30 tomorrow.
- 49:30SPEAKER_03: And so, just keep doing what you're doing.
- 49:32SPEAKER_03: Like, I love talking to you guys because I think Gen, you know, your guys' uh age and Gen Z and all, like, I think you guys are gonna be like the ones that turn the switch on, like, yo, enough is enough.
- 49:42SPEAKER_03: Like everything's digitalized in your guys' your lifetime.
- 49:46SPEAKER_03: Oh, but our money is old.
- 49:47SPEAKER_03: It's like, so I think this is all gonna like propel you and launch you where you're at, man.
- 49:53SPEAKER_01: I definitely can't see it at 24.
- 49:55SPEAKER_01: Like, all so many people I've talked to are like, dude, if I was just investing at 24, like cared about investing at 24, my life would I'm like I'm successful now.
- 50:09SPEAKER_01: I can't even imagine if I had started at 24.
- 50:11SPEAKER_01: It's not something I can even like everyone says that, and I'm like, uh, we'll see.
- 50:15SPEAKER_01: But like I can't even I can't fathom, like I can't comprehend.
- 50:19SPEAKER_01: So I hope so.
- 50:20SPEAKER_01: Like I hope it's all worth it.
- 50:22SPEAKER_01: You know, that's the goal to have a family and be glad I started when I did, so I can be with them.
- 50:30SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 50:31SPEAKER_03: Well, I can fathom and I can see it already for you.
- 50:35SPEAKER_03: One of the last questions we like to ask before ending our episodes is if someone's entering the Bitcoin space for the first time and they're watching this podcast, what type of advice would you get to them?
- 50:48SPEAKER_01: Oh man, um think think so far out.
- 50:53SPEAKER_01: Uh I would even just turn on auto buy from your bank and delete the app.
- 50:58SPEAKER_01: Don't even look at the price.
- 51:00SPEAKER_01: Like, yeah, don't don't get on X every day wondering people, what why did this happen?
- 51:07SPEAKER_01: Why did this happen?
- 51:08SPEAKER_01: Bitcoin just whoa, Bitcoin's above 65k.
- 51:12SPEAKER_01: What happened, guys?
- 51:13SPEAKER_01: Or guys, what happened?
- 51:15SPEAKER_01: Bitcoin's under 60k.
- 51:16SPEAKER_01: Like, stay out of all that stuff, just turn on autobuy, you know, start small, don't make an amount of money that because we all know with Bitcoin it could drop 30% tomorrow.
- 51:28SPEAKER_01: Like it it could happen.
- 51:30SPEAKER_01: And if you don't if you're not informed on it and you don't know why it dropped 30%, or you didn't even know that was possible, you could just that could ruin your perception on it forever, and you would just never want to look at it again.
- 51:46SPEAKER_01: So I I would say start small, maybe I don't know, just a couple percent of your net worth, just uh five percent of every paycheck.
- 51:56SPEAKER_01: I don't know what people's paycheck are or what their risk tolerance is, but just auto-buy and don't look.
- 52:02SPEAKER_01: Delete the app, just turn it on auto-buy and delete it, and maybe every couple months check, or I don't know, just don't I do it because I like talking about it every day and posting about it, but don't be like me, don't check the price, don't worry about it.
- 52:18SPEAKER_01: There it's like no one that's been invested in Bitcoin for like four or five years has ever I don't know the exact stat.
- 52:27SPEAKER_01: I was reading it this morning, but the likelihood of you losing money in Bitcoin over a five-year period is like nine, it's like 0.00 something percent.
- 52:36SPEAKER_01: It rarely happens.
- 52:37SPEAKER_03: Yeah, yeah, it yeah, I it it it goes up more than it goes down, but yeah, um overall, right?
- 52:44SPEAKER_03: Big picture, zoom out.
- 52:45SPEAKER_03: Um that's amazing.
- 52:47SPEAKER_03: That was great advice.
- 52:48SPEAKER_03: I love it.
- 52:49SPEAKER_03: So basically uh put on autobuy and delete the app and just forget about it.
- 52:55SPEAKER_01: And don't like it.
- 52:56SPEAKER_01: Don't get on don't get on X and read about Bitcoin.
- 53:00SPEAKER_01: Don't do it.
- 53:02SPEAKER_00: And don't get on X and have an argument.
- 53:04SPEAKER_00: And delete the X app too while you're at it.
- 53:06SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 53:06SPEAKER_01: Yes, re-download it after it went up like 200 or 300%.
- 53:11SPEAKER_01: Then you can talk about it.
- 53:12SPEAKER_01: But for the other three year, for the other three years, just don't get on X and read about it.
- 53:18SPEAKER_03: Don't get it.
- 53:19SPEAKER_03: Alrighty.
- 53:20SPEAKER_03: Well, hey, thanks, Logan, so much.
- 53:22SPEAKER_03: Uh, we really appreciate you uh coming on here, taking the time.
- 53:25SPEAKER_03: Uh, I know uh we've been going back and forth over like, you know, just for some time now to get you on.
- 53:30SPEAKER_03: So man, I really appreciate uh and it's an honor.
- 53:34SPEAKER_03: Uh it's your first one, like uh first podcast.
- 53:37SPEAKER_03: So like that's awesome.
- 53:39SPEAKER_00: Yeah, and um where can people connect with you, Logan?
- 53:42SPEAKER_01: Um X, it's I think my username is Bitcoin Teacher underscore.
- 53:48SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 53:48SPEAKER_00: Nice.
- 53:49SPEAKER_00: Awesome.
- 53:49SPEAKER_00: Well, Bitcoin Teacher was taken.
- 53:52SPEAKER_01: So I had to put an underscore in.
- 53:56SPEAKER_03: Still so a lot of people know who you are, though.
- 53:59SPEAKER_03: And uh you have a great following on there.
- 54:01SPEAKER_03: Uh we I always appreciate your posts and your feedback.
