- 0:00Lose their star player, they lose their star closer.
- 0:04That's are in a bad spot right now.
- 0:11I've never seen a Ranger team quick before the Olympics.
- 0:14We're going to be looking at Aaron Judge and saying that you
- 0:16can't win the big game, Michael Jordan said.
- 0:19I played 82 games. You don't see the fun doing
- 0:22that, but Jack Hughes did after getting his teeth knocked down
- 0:25to play every single shift he got back in the game.
- 1:28hello. You're listening to the New York
- 1:30Sports Loudmouth 63. 1672 31 O 8 is the number to call.
- 1:43You're listening to a new episode in a new show of the New
- 1:48York's sports loudmouth. My name is Errol Marx.
- 1:51They call me the mouth. My Co host, he's wearing glasses
- 1:55today. A blue Yankees hat.
- 1:57Come on, talk to me. And this is a documentary of
- 2:00craziness. I don't know if he's a
- 2:03distinguished gentleman. I don't know what he calls
- 2:05himself. Maybe.
- 2:06He's a wannabe. A wannabe Mr. Quinton Couples
- 2:14and my other Co host, the producer and the craziness and I
- 2:19will get into it a little bit later in the show.
- 2:21Mr. Speedy PD, executive producer, Mr. Aaron Fishman, as
- 2:26you just heard him on the back end, Mr. Nitin Ramatandra, he's
- 2:30back there. I'm trying to get this.
- 2:32I'm trying to get the last name right.
- 2:34Go to a website at www.worldwidesportsradio.com.

- 2:49website at www.worldwidesportsradio.com.
- 2:53Ladies and gentlemen, welcome. If you haven't been on this
- 2:56show, you haven't seen the show to the New York sports.
- 2:59A loudmouth, my name is Errol Marx, and the only guy on Long
- 3:03Island who can turn Knicks fans or Knicks wins into a family
- 3:07argument and a Mets loss into a three hour documentary of pain.
- 3:13Yes, you know, New York sports are different.
- 3:16Fans here don't watch games. We survive them.
- 3:19Every Knicks playoff game got grown men pacing in their living
- 3:24room like they're waiting for DNADNA test results on the Maury
- 3:30Show. And the Knicks finally make the
- 3:33Finals. Yes, ladies and gentlemen, they
- 3:35make the finals. We're all happy.
- 3:38And all of a sudden everybody in New York becomes a basketball
- 3:43expert. Dude who couldn't name the
- 3:46starting five in January is now on Facebook talking about the
- 3:50weak side of the defense of rotation.
- 3:53Bro, last week you called a pick and roll a sandwich from a deli.
- 3:58Meanwhile, the Yankees lose 1 game and people act like it's an
- 4:04apocalypse starting in the Bronx.
- 4:06Yankees fans are spoiled. Yes they are.
- 4:09You people panic faster than somebody seeing gas hit $5 a
- 4:14gallon on Long Island. And don't even get me started
- 4:20with Jets fans. Being a Jets fan is basically
- 4:23signing up for an emotional CrossFit every year.
- 4:27It's This is our year, this is our year and by Week 6 everybody
- 4:32is searching for a mock draft and yelling yes at the
- 4:36television like the quarterback personally keyed their car.
- 4:41And the Giants fans, yes, I can't forget about the Giants
- 4:45fans aren't much better either. One pre season touchdown and
- 4:50suddenly people are planning the Super Bowl parade down Jericho
- 4:55Turnpike. And can we talk about sports
- 4:58talk radio in New York? Every caller sounds like they're
- 5:04one bad inning away from fighting somebody in Acvs
- 5:08parking lot. Yeah.
- 5:10Errol, first time, long time. I just, I just want to say if
- 5:14the Knicks don't win tonight, I'm divorcing my wife.
- 5:17I'm divorcing my wife, selling my house and becoming a
- 5:21professional fisherman. That's New York sports, baby.
- 5:25We overreact to everything. One win, championship tattoo,
- 5:29one loss, burn the whole franchise down.
- 5:32But that's why we love it. Because nowhere else in America
- 5:36do people scream at millionaires on TV like unpaid assistant
- 5:41coaches while eating chicken parm heroes at midnight.
- 5:45Yes, ladies and gentlemen, that is my take.
- 5:48That is my spiff. We have to get into the Knicks
- 5:50because they just swept the Cleveland Cavaliers, the New
- 5:54York Knick. The New York Knicks have
- 5:56advanced the NBA Finals for the first time since 99, with A13093
- 6:02win in Game 4 versus the Cavaliers completing the sweep.
- 6:06The Knicks have now won 11 games in a row in the playoffs, tie
- 6:10for the second longest in NBA history, only to one win behind
- 6:15the 2017 Warriors, who won 1210. Of those, eleven wins were by
- 6:22double digits, and the Knicks won by an average of 23.7 points
- 6:27per game during that span. The Knicks have a + 271 point
- 6:33differential in the playoffs, which is the largest in NBA
- 6:36history through 14 games by a wide margin.
- 6:40The 2017 Warriors are the next best at a + 196.
- 6:46Jalen Bronson was named the Eastern Conference Finals MVP,
- 6:49averaging 25.5 points per game and seven .8 assists per game
- 6:55with a 49% field goal percentage.
- 6:58Mike Brown became the 15th coach in NBA history to make the NBA
- 7:03Finals in his first year as a head coach and will look to
- 7:07become the 7th coach to win the title in their first year.
- 7:13June 3rd will be the first game of the NBA Finals, meaning the
- 7:17Knicks will have 8 days off between games.
- 7:21And ladies and gentlemen, we remember what happened.
- 7:23What happened when they had eight games off when they met
- 7:27the Cavaliers in game one and the Cavaliers had a 22 point
- 7:30lead with 759 left. And then the Jalen Brunson
- 7:35absolutely humiliated the Cleveland Cavaliers and James
- 7:40Harden. And I will say this about James
- 7:42Harden. James Harden does not belong on
- 7:45the Cavaliers. Then again, I don't know if
- 7:47James Harden belongs on any team right now.
- 7:49James Harden doesn't play a liquor defense and that's what
- 7:52we saw. And I will say this about
- 7:53Donovan Mitchell. I don't believe Donovan Mitchell
- 7:55was 100% healthy. I don't.
- 7:58I don't think he was healthy in that series.
- 8:00It wouldn't have mattered. The Knicks win the series.
- 8:02Maybe they win one game, it goes 5.
- 8:05Donovan Mitchell wasn't healthy and you can see that Donovan
- 8:08Mitchell always wanted to be a Knick.
- 8:10He grew up a Knick fan, just like Karl Anthony Towns.
- 8:12When they interviewed him after the game, he said that growing
- 8:15up in New Jersey and rooting for this team, this is like, this is
- 8:18something that you couldn't even imagine or believe that you
- 8:22would be a part of. And I remember in 99, I remember
- 8:26Latrell Sprewell as as the Knicks traded for him.
- 8:29I remember where he came from, choking his coach and coming to
- 8:32the New York Knicks and a lot of people questioning him and old
- 8:36Patrick Ewing, Alan Houston sign with the Knicks.
- 8:39I think if I'm not mistaken, a year before, 2 years before
- 8:42Chris Childs came to the team, Larry Johnson, Grandma Ma came
- 8:46to the team and they had a bunch of good players.
- 8:49Not elite players at their position, but great players.
- 8:54And everybody wants to compare and everybody says that Jaylen
- 8:57Bronson is arguably the greatest Knick of all time already.
- 9:01And I will say this for all the Knick fans, I love Jaylen
- 9:03Bronson. Love them.
- 9:05Jaylen Bronson is one of the best New York Knicks of all time
- 9:08right now. Is he the greatest?
- 9:10Would I take him over Patrick Ewing?
- 9:12No. And there's a lot of reasons
- 9:14why. I mean, Jaylen Bronson's been a
- 9:16Knick for, what, four years? Patrick Ewing was a Knick for
- 9:19many, many years and the elite player in the NBA, a center, a
- 9:23top player at his position. How many centers in the league
- 9:27were better than Patrick Ewing? Maybe 4, maybe 4-5 if you want
- 9:31to argue at the top of his game. Patrick Ewing's one of the
- 9:34greatest setters of all time. Not just one of the greatest
- 9:36Knicks of all time, one of the greatest setters of all time.
- 9:40Did Patrick win? No, he never won.
- 9:43But he also played with John Starks.
- 9:45And, yes, Danny, Danny Radical, who's listening to the show, who
- 9:48is texting me after the Knicks eliminated the Cavaliers saying
- 9:52that Jaylen Bronson's the greatest Knick of all time.
- 9:55And my argument to Danny is pretty simple.
- 9:58It's very, very simple. Jaylen Bronson has done things
- 10:02that other Knick players have not done.
- 10:05He's an elite offensive player. He's sensational.
- 10:08He came out of nowhere. Leon Rose found him, picked him
- 10:11over Donovan Mitchell. If you think about it, Donovan
- 10:14Mitchell could have been Jaylen Bronson.
- 10:16Are the Knicks here if they had Donovan Mitchell?
- 10:19Probably not because of what Jaylen Bronson brings to the
- 10:23table. Jalen Brunson is a clutch
- 10:25player. Donovan Mitchell has not proven
- 10:28himself to be a clutch player. Not in Utah and not with the
- 10:32Cavs. He's not proven himself as a
- 10:34clutch player. Yet this is his first Eastern
- 10:37Conference championship he's ever played in.
- 10:41I'm not blaming this on him, but what we saw through this series
- 10:47and throughout the playoffs so far is the Knicks have only lost
- 10:50two games and they were both games were by a point by the
- 10:54Hawks, both games the Knicks could have won.
- 10:58Everybody keeps talking about this point differential.
- 11:01I don't care about that. That doesn't mean anything.
- 11:03Do you want to compare them to the Golden State Warriors after
- 11:05the Knicks won a championship? If the Knicks won a
- 11:08championship, then we can compare them.
- 11:11They have four games to win and they don't know who they're.
- 11:14They don't know who they're going to play.
- 11:16They don't know if they're going to play OK C they don't know if
- 11:18they're going to play the Spurs. It's 22 right now.
- 11:23And I will say this, Mike Brown deserves a lot of credit.
- 11:27But the guy that I've been saying over and over and over
- 11:29and over and over again, and everybody can beat around the
- 11:32Bush about it, Leon Rose is the reason why the Knicks are here
- 11:35today. James Dolan isn't.
- 11:38The only thing James Dolan did right was hire him.
- 11:41That was the only reason why, and World Wide W deserves
- 11:45extreme credit because if you know anything about World Wide
- 11:49West, this guy finds players. He knows players, he knows
- 11:54basketball. He's one of the greats.
- 11:56Everybody talks about how great and smart Jerry West was, how he
- 11:59built those Laker teams, how he built championship teams.
- 12:02Everywhere he's gone Worldwide West has been a part of
- 12:06organizations for many, many years, discovering talent after
- 12:10talent. If you look at the second round
- 12:12talents that the Knicks have brought in, I don't know if
- 12:14anybody knows that Landry Chamet was brought in during the
- 12:20offseason to bring him here and nobody wanted him.
- 12:23Do you know who wanted him to come here?
- 12:25It was worldwide W Everybody's going to give guys like Leon
- 12:29Rose all the credit in the world, but Worldwide West is the
- 12:31guy that discovers these guys. He believes they're a perfect
- 12:34fit, two way players and the New York Dicks.
- 12:38The reason why they're here today, the reason why they've
- 12:40been so dominant is their two way dominance defense to
- 12:44offense. What they do on the basketball
- 12:47court, nobody can compare to. Throughout this playoffs,
- 12:51everybody talks about OKC, how great their defense and offense
- 12:53is. Everybody talks about the Spurs,
- 12:55how great they are, but nobody talks about the Knicks.
- 12:58I want to say something to all those news broadcasters that
- 13:03doubted the New York Knicks. All the New York guys, all the
- 13:08Cleveland guys, LA guys, the Texas guys.
- 13:12I pop on some of these shows and I laugh.
- 13:15And nobody's giving the Knicks any credit, even being in the
- 13:17Cavaliers, which is ridiculous, and saying that the Knicks
- 13:21haven't beaten anybody. So let's go back and look at the
- 13:25past, what these New York Knick teams have done in the past and
- 13:29choked. And I don't think this this New
- 13:32York Knick team is going to choke like the 94 Knick team did
- 13:35when they were up 3 to 2. Charles Smith missing a layup,
- 13:39Patrick Ewing not playing defense with three minutes left
- 13:42of the game. And then in game #7 it was the
- 13:45John Starks game. And everybody remembers brick
- 13:48after brick after brick. This team is different.
- 13:54This is not the 99 Knicks when they surprised the world, the
- 13:58Larry Johnson 4 point play that eliminated Indiana and then go
- 14:05all the way to the Finals and choke against David Robinson and
- 14:08Tim Duncan in four games. This is not that same Knick
- 14:11team, the wing defenders that the New York Knicks have.
- 14:14And it's not just one or two that everybody's talking about.
- 14:19You have guys like McBride that can play defense, Jose Alvarado
- 14:23that can play defense. We know the other two guys that
- 14:26have played sensational, sensational and OG Ananobi and
- 14:33Mikhail Bridges, who I believe if you want to give somebody a
- 14:36little bit more credit that a lot of people don't give, it's
- 14:40Mikhail Bridges. Mikhail Bridges throughout this
- 14:43series, throughout the last two series has been a great #3 OG
- 14:48Ananobi has not been 100% healthy.
- 14:50You can tell that I think the first game that I've seen him at
- 14:53100% since he got hurt was Game 4.
- 14:57The dunks that he had, the alley, the alley hoops that they
- 15:01had with him, Jalen Bronson, Karl Anthony Towns, all the
- 15:06different things that we saw that O Jan and Obi had in game
- 15:09#4 Mikhail Bridges has put this team on his shoulders.
- 15:16The defense shutting down and it was, it's it to me.
- 15:20It's multiple guys. Everybody keeps giving Landry,
- 15:22Landry Chamet all the credit. Mikhail Bridges defended Donovan
- 15:27Mitchell throughout this series. Jose Alvarado defending Donovan
- 15:33Mitchell at some point in this series, so did OG Anobi.
- 15:38Everybody understands the way basketball works.
- 15:42You think it's a team game, but it becomes an isolation game
- 15:45when nobody can play at a high level.
- 15:47And Evan Mobley played very well in this series.
- 15:49He really did. I'm not going to take shots at
- 15:51Evan Mobley. He he played very well.
- 15:55It's inconsistent basketball that we saw in this series.
- 15:59That's the reason why the Cavaliers couldn't give the
- 16:03Knicks a match up. And in game #1 everybody knows
- 16:06what happened. And after that, everybody said
- 16:08the series was over. And again, you go back and you
- 16:14look at these series and, and all this series throughout the
- 16:17play offs, you, you really don't care about the playing games.
- 16:20And even the first round, it's usually a second and third
- 16:23rounds. The Eastern and Western
- 16:24Conference finals is what everybody looks at and they try
- 16:26to consider who's going to make it to the Finals.
- 16:30When the Knicks beat the 76ers, I kept it inside me.
- 16:35I did. I kept it inside me, but I
- 16:38believe the New York Knicks were going to the Finals this year.
- 16:41I did. I wasn't worried about the
- 16:44Cavaliers and after game #2 I wasn't worried about the 76ers.
- 16:49The 76ers eliminated the Celtics, the only team that
- 16:52scared me in the players. I'll give, I'll give the Celtics
- 16:55a little bit of credit. I don't like Jayson Tatum.
- 16:59I never did. But I I root for him because
- 17:03he's a Duke player. I don't like Jaylen Brown.
- 17:06I never did, but I root for him because everybody hates them.
- 17:12I'm a Knick fan. I sit here today proud that the
- 17:15New York Knicks are going to the Finals for the first time in 27
- 17:19years. 27 But here's the facts. The Knicks have to close and
- 17:26win. That is the only way this story
- 17:31will be told, not only as a championship, but one of the
- 17:35greatest runs in NBA history. Yes, you heard it from me.
- 17:39If the Knicks won a championship this year, not only is this
- 17:43something to be proud of, but you can argue this might turn
- 17:47out to be the greatest run in NBA history.
- 17:51And that is a fact. When you look at statistics and
- 17:54understand what this team has gone gone through in the
- 17:57offseason, firing Tom Thibodeau, every Knick fan, every Knick
- 18:02fan. I don't want to hear any liars
- 18:03out there. Every Knick fan was upset that
- 18:06the Knicks fired Tom Thibodeau. Give him another year, maybe
- 18:09gets him to the Finals. Tom Thibodeau would not have
- 18:12taken this team to the Finals. I'm sorry.
- 18:15He played. He ran people out of the
- 18:17building. He ran his players out of the
- 18:19building throughout the practices.
- 18:21They couldn't stay healthy. I have never seen Josh Hart,
- 18:27McHale Bridges, OJ Anobi and Jalen Bronson this healthy in
- 18:32the last three years. I have not this team and I'm I'm
- 18:38McHale Bridge has only been with the Knicks for two years.
- 18:40But I'm I'm saying what I've seen over the last couple of
- 18:43years and in the transition of this team, Mike Brown has a you
- 18:48have to give him a lot of credit for what this team is and what
- 18:51this team has really become, not only as a team.
- 18:54And you can hear it in Mike Brown after the game, the post
- 18:57game interviews. He said this team is very close
- 18:59together. They believe in each other.
- 19:03And to coach A-Team like this, it's not hard to coach A-Team
- 19:07like this because they believe, they believe in one another.
- 19:09And what Jaylen Bronson said, I couldn't be who I am today if it
- 19:12wasn't for my teammates. Jaylen Bronson, before this
- 19:15series came out, spoke to Charles Barkley, Shaquille
- 19:19O'Neal and Kenny Smith and they asked him, do you think you're a
- 19:24superstar? And he said, I think I'm a
- 19:28player. I think I play hard and I'm part
- 19:31of a team. I never look at myself as a
- 19:34superstar. And when you look at a player
- 19:36like that and you understand, even though in his heart he
- 19:40knows who he is, he knows he's great.
- 19:43He knows he can dominate at any point in a basketball game.
- 19:47He believes that if he didn't have his teammates, he didn't
- 19:51have Josh Hart, he didn't have Mikhail Bridges, OG Ananopi or
- 19:54Karl Anthony Towns or any of the guys off the bench, he wouldn't
- 19:57be the player he is right now. And that, ladies and gentlemen,
- 20:00is not just a captain or they call him Captain Clutch.
- 20:04It's a leader. And when you believe in your
- 20:07leader and you want to follow somebody all the way through a
- 20:10fire throughout the the seams of hell.
- 20:16Because the Knicks have been in hell for a very, very long time.
- 20:18They haven't won a championship since 1973.
- 20:21I mean, that's hell. I'm a Jet fan and they haven't
- 20:24won a championship since 1969. That's hell, too.
- 20:28To understand what it is to be a New York Knick fan you could not
- 20:33imagine. To understand what Jalen Bronson
- 20:36brings to the table that no other Knick has done for that.
- 20:40Ladies and gentlemen, there is a comparison to what Willis Reed
- 20:45was to the New York Knicks in 1973 when he limped out to play
- 20:50that final game to help them win and Jalen Brunson.
- 20:54That will go to the depths of New York to bring a championship
- 20:58home to the New York Knicks. Yeah, and it's a team that was
- 21:01built on a lot of guys that were, I guess, disrespected by
- 21:04their previous organizations. Bronson obviously being the
- 21:05biggest one with the Dallas Mavericks and obviously pursuing
- 21:08Kyrie Irving. A year later, they decided to
- 21:11build around what Mark Cuban thought and the great Nico
- 21:14Harrison thought was a better model.
- 21:15He goes for a very cheap contract at the time to the New
- 21:18York Knicks and immediately changes the culture there.
- 21:20But you also look at OG and Nobi.
- 21:22There was a bench player on that Toronto Raptors team that won a
- 21:24championship but never really got a shot because they wanted
- 21:26to pay Van Vleet. They wanted to make sure they
- 21:27kept their veteran corps together and wanted to make sure
- 21:30it was a win now team. And they still had a couple
- 21:32playoff runs after that, but fizzled out after that.
- 21:34And OG got traded to the Knicks. They rebuilt around RJ Barrett,
- 21:37Emmanuel Quigley, Mikhail Bridges, same kind of thing,
- 21:39kind of stuck in a loop with Phoenix.
- 21:40Phoenix was trying to be a win now team.
- 21:42I thought there were years they they were my pick to win the
- 21:44title at the beginning of the year.
- 21:45They traded Bridges to go all in on Kevin Durant and Bridges
- 21:48found a very comfortable home with the New York Knicks after
- 21:51that. And like you said, it's been the
- 21:52arguably the most durable player in the NBA since he's gotten.
- 21:55The most durable player. Iron Man streak that's been
- 21:58going on for the last five years, I think since became a
- 22:01starter with with with Phoenix and then with the Nets and he's
- 22:04continued it over with the Knicks.
- 22:05And I mean Towns, I don't know if it was the same way, but even
- 22:08Towns to an extent, the Timberwolves had to get rid of
- 22:09him for financial reasons. He was a part of that local TV
- 22:12contract. They we were thinking for a
- 22:13while that they were going to trade into the Knicks when Leon
- 22:15Rose first got there and they were going to build around
- 22:17Anthony Edwards when they first drafted.
- 22:18Think about this speedy He's gone to three Eastern and
- 22:22Western Conference finals in a row.
- 22:24With three different coaches. With three.
- 22:25Different coaches. And now, finally, he has a
- 22:29breath of fresh air because he's going to get a chance to play
- 22:32for an NBA championship for the first time in his career.
- 22:35And he was another one too, like you were talking about with some
- 22:37of the players that were relieved that they got rid of
- 22:39Tom Thibodeau. Towns, I think there was
- 22:41definitely one of them. He already had the tension
- 22:42previously with Minnesota when he was the coach and GM at the
- 22:45same time, which in the NBA is tough to have a dynamic like
- 22:48that as it is and then try to do it again the next year with his
- 22:52defensive identity that he was very stubborn and and running
- 22:55Towns would did not fit there and Towns was not Townsend want
- 22:58to involve his game. Now you're seeing him being very
- 23:00comfortable with Mike Brown evolving his game more.
- 23:03And he's had I think three straight games now of of I think
- 23:07it's 21, seven and five. I believe that means he's
- 23:09passing a lot more and he's had some double double S mixed in
- 23:12there and he's becoming a more team first guy.
- 23:15Even with the bench unit when they play him with Bronson off
- 23:18the court, he's still could be a team first guy.
- 23:20You're getting these other guys involved to shoot threes off the
- 23:23bench. And that formula has allowed the
- 23:25Knicks both in the second and third quarters to be able to
- 23:27make some of the biggest runs we've ever seen a 20 O run in
- 23:31that in that game four. Obviously we know about the 18
- 23:33one run in the comeback. And the Knicks have had some
- 23:36insane second and third quarters because they believe in their in
- 23:39in towns and OG and Anobi to work really well with the bench
- 23:42unit in addition to the way that Bronson just plays overall
- 23:44offensively, it's a really good combination of everything and
- 23:47the point differential is just insane. 271.
- 23:50That's 70 points more than the Golden State Warriors.
- 23:53This super team Golden State Warriors that were built on
- 23:56Kevin Durant. Odd being a wimp and going over
- 23:58to Golden State to win a title. But this Knicks team was built
- 24:02on guys that weren't like that. They didn't buy anyone like
- 24:05specifically they inherited towns as contract that was big
- 24:08and they paid OG after the fact with this weren't thought of as
- 24:10like. All trades, yeah, McHale Bridges
- 24:12traded, OG and Anobi traded, Karl Anthony Towns traded.
- 24:15It was all built behind Leon Rose and worldwide W his belief
- 24:19that this team could be a championship contending team.
- 24:23And then and at the trade deadline, bring in Jose Alvarado
- 24:26in who's helped them. Yeah, he hasn't looked good
- 24:28against the Cavaliers, but there were certain times that you
- 24:31needed a guy that can get up and play defense at the top of the
- 24:34key. He's been doing that.
- 24:36And even some of the guys like McBride, they gave him an
- 24:39extension. They gave him a three-year
- 24:40extension. Who's played dividends?
- 24:42Who paid dividends for the New York Knicks?
- 24:44Look at what he did when OG and OB got hurt.
- 24:46He scored 27 points, 29 points, which helped them beat
- 24:49Philadelphia. Every single thing that he has
- 24:51done, Leon Rose has worked. Every single thing that he has
- 24:56picked out and players and look, look at Landry Chimet.
- 24:59I mean, that was a worldwide W guy.
- 25:01Every single thing he has done that's worked.
- 25:04Look at Kollick in the first half of the season.
- 25:06They needed a point guard to play behind guys like, you know,
- 25:10Jalen Brunson, who is up and down in the beginning of the
- 25:12season. Well, Kohlick took over it.
- 25:15They were games that stuck out, that showed.
- 25:17Look at what he did against the Spurs in that world championship
- 25:20tournament, whatever it is. I mean, everything, everything
- 25:23that they have chose and picked has worked.
- 25:26Everything. And that shows a lot about
- 25:29leadership. When you talk about championship
- 25:31teams, when you look at the Golden State Warriors, why did
- 25:34they win that championship? Why did they win all those
- 25:36championships? Because of Myers.
- 25:38Myers built that team. He built it from from the bottom
- 25:41to the top and you look at even the Celtic teams, look at the
- 25:45Celtic Championships and everybody talks about Danny.
- 25:48I can't stand Danny Anish. Can't stand him, but Danny H
- 25:51took Brad Stevens. Brad Stevens became the GM, he
- 25:54wins the championship as the GM. And same thing with Danny H when
- 25:57he won a championship with, you know, we know Garnett and Doc
- 26:01Rivers and all those guys. He decided to part ways
- 26:04eventually and but he's the one who drafted Jaylen Brown.
- 26:07He was the one who drafted Jason Tatum.
- 26:09You need those guys in those office positions that are going
- 26:13to be destined to put this team. It's like a puzzle.
- 26:17It really is. To win a championship, even in
- 26:20the NFL fell you have to get the right coach.
- 26:23There's no question you need the right coach, but you need the
- 26:25right players in the right system.
- 26:26I know Q is going to say the same thing.
- 26:28He will agree with me on this one.
- 26:31You have to fit the system. If you don't fit the system,
- 26:34you're not going to win. You need players that fit
- 26:37systems that are going to be able to work together to to one
- 26:42specific thing that you're going to do and that's win a
- 26:44championship. And I'll say this about the New
- 26:46York Knicks. Everything about the New York
- 26:48Knicks has worked, but it's not over.
- 26:51Knick fans, you can't believe that it's over.
- 26:53You still have OKC and the Spurs and both teams are better than
- 26:57the Cavaliers. Both teams are better than the
- 26:59Hawks. Both teams are better than the
- 27:02Sixers. This is going to be a grueling 7
- 27:06game series. If if it goes 7, the Knicks need
- 27:09to play at a high level. They cannot start the game like
- 27:12they did against the Cavaliers in game number one.
- 27:15They got to come out with Fury, they got to come out, believe it
- 27:19or not, they're not playing at home in game #1 they're playing
- 27:21in OKC or San Antonio. They got to come out strong and
- 27:25they got to believe that they can beat this team and compete
- 27:27with this team at a high level. Yeah, Before you go, Qi also
- 27:29want to mention like nobody has adopted the New York Knicks
- 27:32philosophy yet in terms of the way they've rebuilt this team.
- 27:34Now, I've talked about it the last like four or five years ago
- 27:36when the Nets were falling apart, like the big three age,
- 27:39the Super team age was starting to die, bringing all these
- 27:41veteran players. Obviously, you see it failed the
- 27:42Clippers, you've seen it failed the other teams.
- 27:44Phoenix did the right thing for a while, then they started to do
- 27:46it and they had to break up their core too.
- 27:47But you look at the other ways the teams have built.
- 27:50The Celtics have built, like I said, with Brad Stevens getting
- 27:52two stars and then really building around great late
- 27:54round. Look at OKC.
- 27:55Yep, look what OKC has done with second round draft picks.
- 27:59They built their team around second round draft picks,
- 28:01trades. They got Shay Alexander, how did
- 28:04they get them? They traded Paul George and they
- 28:07brought in Williams in that trade.
- 28:10They they brought in pieces and they put it together.
- 28:12They botched it together and for bad year after bad year, trading
- 28:15picks, moving up and trading this guy and trading that guy to
- 28:19add picks. Why do they have two first round
- 28:21draft picks this year? Because of the trades and the
- 28:23moves that they made over the last couple years.
- 28:26OKC has given you the pattern to win and the Knicks have followed
- 28:30that pattern. If you think about what the
- 28:32Knicks have done over the last couple of years, it they
- 28:35followed the OK C pattern. They found a star, they built
- 28:39around a star and then they put players and piece players
- 28:42together that fit them. They brought the Villanova
- 28:44Knicks, they brought Josh Hardin.
- 28:46He he knows Jalen Bronson. He plays that style of defense
- 28:49that Jalen Bronson does not play and he's a leader.
- 28:53And then you bring in guys like Mikhail Bridges who can play the
- 28:56game at both ways, wing defender can score in many different
- 29:00ways. OG Anobi, who's become one of
- 29:02the best wing defenders in the league and who can score.
- 29:05And then Carl Anthony Towns, when playing at this kind of
- 29:08level, is a championship player. I'm telling you right now, I've
- 29:12never, if there's anything that I can say about this team right
- 29:14now, it's Carl Anthony Towns. Even when Jalen Bronson got that
- 29:18MVP trophy, the happiness, you know, some players don't like
- 29:22that because Carlin didn't wait a second.
- 29:24I, I, I scored 17 and 13 practically this whole series.
- 29:28I was the reason I was one of the big reasons why the
- 29:31Cavaliers couldn't get into the paint.
- 29:32They couldn't do this. They couldn't do that.
- 29:34I was one of the reasons why we took over the second-half of
- 29:37games. But guess what?
- 29:39They all believe in Jalen Brunson.
- 29:40He is the leader of this team and that, ladies and gentlemen,
- 29:44it's not the LeBron James, Dwyane Wade team.
- 29:47It's not the all these other teams, even when Dirk Nowinski
- 29:50was the best player, Jason Kidd was the leader of that team.
- 29:53When you go back in championship teams, when you look at Kevin
- 29:56Garnett, Kevin Garnett was a great player when he won a
- 29:59championship with those Celtics. But who was the truth?
- 30:02Paul Pierce that you can argue who is the best player?
- 30:05Who is the player that you can point was the leader of that
- 30:08franchise? That to me right now is
- 30:10everybody knows who the leader of this franchise is, Everybody
- 30:13knows who the best player on this team is, and everybody
- 30:16knows the only way they're going to win a championship is if this
- 30:20guy is at his best. And the reason the Knicks model
- 30:23is so unique too, is you got these guys that have worked with
- 30:25the previous chemistry with the Nova Knicks, yet they tried that
- 30:27with with Towns, with Kentucky, and they also tried it with Duke
- 30:30for a while. They're trying to get guys that
- 30:32have familiarity and comfortability with each other.
- 30:35Leon Rose obviously with Towns as well.
- 30:36That's something we haven't even seen some of these other teams
- 30:38do. I was talking about the things
- 30:39like Jaylen Brown and Jason Tatum were different realms.
- 30:42Yeah, they've had draft picks from all different schools.
- 30:43The Spurs are kind of taking on the Celtics model, too, except
- 30:46for a little more international flair where they essentially had
- 30:49Popovich, like Brad Stevens, go in as the executive and just
- 30:51hire a coach that fits his system.
- 30:53And then when you look at the Thunder philosophy, they have
- 30:54some, like you said, undrafted second round picks from all
- 30:56kinds of different schools, small schools as well.
- 30:59And teams like the Pistons and the Rockets have started to
- 31:00adapt to it now, and these other teams accumulate draft picks.
- 31:03But nobody's able to duplicate the Knicks.
- 31:04I don't think anyone's been able to duplicate that.
- 31:06What they are doing across the league is just very unique and
- 31:08they're winning. Yeah, first and foremost, before
- 31:11I get started, congratulations to the New York Knicks.
- 31:14I think you guys made it to the Eastern Conference Finals was
- 31:17been like 27 years or so now. Congratulations to you.
- 31:20Guys, they were in the Eastern Conference finals last.
- 31:22Year I made finals, I'm sorry, the finals, all right but yeah,
- 31:25so yeah, to to to that exact point right there I, I hear the
- 31:30the takes and. And it seems as if you guys
- 31:33forgot that you guys were actually in the Eastern
- 31:35Conference finals last year. So there really wasn't that much
- 31:38of A change in regards to last year's team.
- 31:41At this year's team, if you look back, instead of them playing
- 31:44through Jenny Brunson and being top heavy and running everybody
- 31:46into the ground, they just said, hey, we're gonna play through
- 31:49Cat, allow some space to free up Jenny Brunson.
- 31:52They didn't allow other players to get involved.
- 31:54To me, if you look at the game, OG has been the difference maker
- 31:57in regards to that offensive scheme and the defensive game.
- 32:00Obviously with him being able to guard one through 5, he's a
- 32:03special type of defender and we'll get a little bit into that
- 32:06later on. But he him being able to score
- 32:0915 to 20 points on any given night is what gives you guys a
- 32:13lift and allow you guys to actually stay ahead.
- 32:16When you guys get these knees, you don't just fall bit them to
- 32:19blowing the knees because Jenny Brunson is tired or Cat Carl
- 32:22Anthony Towns can't make it. So I don't think that is been
- 32:25too much of a difference. Obviously you got a coach now
- 32:27who actually creates systems and schemes according to their or to
- 32:31the opponent and then allow other people to be freed up and
- 32:34make shots. And you guys have made shots.
- 32:36You're utilizing your bitch, you get more people involved.
- 32:39And when you do those type of things, you have a recipe for
- 32:43success. And so the Cavs, I mean the Cavs
- 32:46gave you guys four games. I don't think that they did
- 32:49anything different. When you go back and look at it.
- 32:52The first game the knits came out, they were they were resting
- 32:56for what, 12-13 days. So there was obviously sluggish.
- 32:59It wasn't going to hit shots. They went up 22 points, but
- 33:02immediately as soon as they took took advantage of them blowing
- 33:07that 22 point lead, those got there.
- 33:09There was nothing left that the Cavs did.
- 33:11The Cavs stay with the same system, the same scheme
- 33:15throughout each and every four games.
- 33:16They didn't adjust nowhere, They didn't adjust defensively and
- 33:19they definitely didn't adjust offensively.
- 33:21Now, Evan Mobley did his thing. He had it, he had a good game,
- 33:24but the main focus was on stopping Donovan Mitchell and
- 33:27James Harden. So whenever you have two players
- 33:30that you're keying on, that third player is going to be
- 33:33opened up to be able to score once and I'm able to score more
- 33:38and more because everybody's focused on James Harden and
- 33:42Donovan Mitchell. So yeah, I think that, you know,
- 33:45as what is it Kenny Atkinson, as he said, he was playing an
- 33:48analytical game. And in reality, there was a
- 33:51playoff game going on and they had no answer into anything that
- 33:56the Knits threw out to them. And obviously with the Knits
- 33:59making that adjustment of playing through cards in the
- 34:01towns, if you don't address and just play Jenny Brunson as the
- 34:05number one or primary scorer, you're going to free up Cat,
- 34:08you're going to free up OG, then they're going to be able to kick
- 34:11Josh Hart hit some big some big shots and some key points in the
- 34:15game. You know, your bitch that she
- 34:17was talking about with McBride and Sherman that was hitting big
- 34:20shots. So it's not like they points was
- 34:22like over the chart. Yeah, they had a couple of
- 34:23games, but you know, for the most part those points came
- 34:27because you guys are already at blew them out.
- 34:29So I think that the scheme that the Cavs came up with that was
- 34:32just hard, but it was horrific. And they was just playing an
- 34:35analytic game and not playing the actual playoff game.
- 34:38And like I said before, if you don't make adjustments in game,
- 34:41you're going to get beat because you've already shown it.
- 34:44The playoffs is like chess. Every move there's a counter.
- 34:47And if you don't have a position for that counter, then you're
- 34:51going to get exposed at the highest level.
- 34:53Because we're not just playing for the next game and we're not
- 34:56just playing for seeding and next week, we're actually
- 34:59playing game by game. So with the Cavs, they didn't
- 35:02have a strategy. They had one strategy actually,
- 35:04and they came in, the Knicks exposed them.
- 35:06And congratulations to the Knicks.
- 35:08They made it to the Finals. I'm proud of them and I look
- 35:12forward to the down in the finals.
- 35:14Let me tell you something and and you keep saying it was Karl
- 35:16Anthony Towns and all this there.
- 35:19Here's what I'm going to say. Landry Chamet was 17 for 21 at
- 35:23the three-point line throughout, throughout the yeah, throughout
- 35:27this Eastern Conference finals. He was unbelievable and he
- 35:30defended Donovan Mitchell in the most important times of the
- 35:33games. Now you keep saying OG Ananobi.
- 35:35OG Ananobi really didn't take over the game until the 4th
- 35:38game. If you look at really the two
- 35:40guys, Mikhail Bridges, who I think was the most important
- 35:44piece to why the Knicks are playing at this level in the
- 35:4776ers series and this series, what he has done, taking down
- 35:51Maxi and Donovan Mitchell was sensational.
- 35:54And and again, you, you look at it and you everybody keeps
- 35:56saying that Mikhail Bridges wasn't worth 4-5 first round
- 36:00draft picks, whatever it is. Nobody, nobody.
- 36:02Yes he is because if the Knicks. Yes, he is because right.
- 36:06Now hold on. Hold on, let me finish it.
- 36:08I let you speak. I didn't cut you off.
- 36:10Let me speak. What did the Let's get so far
- 36:12from the New York Knicks? They got a 17th pick and a 26th
- 36:15pick from the New York Knicks. That's all they got.
- 36:18And what do those picks turn into?
- 36:19Nothing. Nothing.
- 36:21And they got. Hold on.
- 36:22And they got three more picks from the New York Knicks, OK?
- 36:25And the best one will be the 2031.
- 36:29And we don't know what that's going to be because if the
- 36:30Knicks are good, it's probably somewhere in the 20s.
- 36:33So you sit here today and you say he's not worth it if the
- 36:36Knicks win a championship. And I know you don't think they
- 36:38are, but if the Knicks win the championship, you're not going
- 36:41to be saying all those five first round draft picks.
- 36:44Because by the way, after the Knicks eliminated the Cavaliers
- 36:48and they were walking off the court, I don't know if you were
- 36:50listening, but there were fans screaming that you were worth 5
- 36:56picks, you were worth 5 picks. Everybody was saying it and you
- 36:59want to know something? Here's the facts here.
- 37:02He is worth 5 picks for what he has done in the last two series
- 37:05because the Knicks haven't been here since 99.
- 37:09The. Knicks haven't been here and
- 37:10since 99 they have not even come close to winning a championship.
- 37:13Since 94, they. Haven't won?
- 37:15A championship since 1973 and I'm going.
- 37:18To tell you last year they just was in AI used to conference
- 37:21finest. This is and before we go any
- 37:23further, you're talking about the McHale Bridges that during
- 37:25the season people were yelling and screaming that we get New
- 37:29York Knicks not we but the New York Knicks may be worse trade
- 37:32ever in NBA history because they chose him.
- 37:36I was ready to fire coach Brown or whatever.
- 37:45I know you were living in a moment right now and we can
- 37:48celebrate but was ready to fire Coach Brown, but.
- 37:51Dude, I always, I always protect myself.
- 37:54See, here's the thing. Here's the thing.
- 37:57I will listen. I will actually admit what I
- 38:00say. You won't because you the
- 38:02Cavaliers to win at six. I'm going to say what I said.
- 38:05I'm going to say what I said. Let me finish.
- 38:07Let I'll say what I said. I thought that Mike Brown, if he
- 38:10didn't get the Knicks out of the first round, he gets fired.
- 38:12I can admit it. You can't admit that you pick
- 38:15the Cavs because you know, and once I show all the fans that
- 38:18you pick the Cavs, you're wrong, dude.
- 38:20You're wrong. You're wrong, dude.
- 38:21You pick the Cavs. You said the Knicks don't have a
- 38:24chance to get the Cavs and you still don't have them against
- 38:26the OKC Thunder and you don't have them to get the Spurs.
- 38:28Well, guess what? You're going to eat the banana
- 38:30out of your mouth after. You're going to eat them,
- 38:32monkey. You're going to be a monkey.
- 38:42You have success and you were just talking about that in the
- 38:44opening of the show, but here you are before the season, in
- 38:48the regular season, ready to fire everybody, get rid of
- 38:50Mikhail Bridges. He's such a let down.
- 38:52He's this and that. Now they get to the East
- 38:54Conference finals and make it to the finals.
- 38:56Actually, everybody's the. Coach of the Year, actually,
- 39:02just so you know, I was behind Mikhail Bridges really all
- 39:06season long. I don't know what you're saying.
- 39:09No, I was behind Mikhail Bridges.
- 39:12I was. But I first of all, I'm not
- 39:14standing behind Mikhail Bridges, OK, in any kind of way, that's
- 39:17what I'm going to say. But as far as I'm concerned, as
- 39:20far as Mikhail Bridges is concerned, I've always supported
- 39:23Mikhail Bridge. Now I've been a Quran show and
- 39:25Quran will admit to it. I've I've said what are the
- 39:27Knicks going to do to do with him if he doesn't play at a high
- 39:30level against the 76ers and he's said he's going to play at a
- 39:33high level. Quran's from behind Mikkel
- 39:35Bridges from the beginning. He said that Mikkel Bridges is
- 39:37not only worth what the Knicks gave him, he's going to play a
- 39:40big dividends. If the Knicks go to the finals
- 39:43and win a championship, he's going to be one of the main
- 39:45reasons why they win a championship.
- 39:47And guess what Quran was right now, I'll sit here, I'll tell
- 39:50you the truth. I, I am, I'm telling you I, I am
- 39:53telling you I've been nothing but honest.
- 39:55I'm on I'm, I'm nothing but honest.
- 39:57But you're not honest. You're not honest.
- 40:00You're never. Honest.
- 40:02That everybody know I've been on the show.
- 40:05Objective Knicks fan. That is right.
- 40:07I was on the show. He's objective.
- 40:09I've been objective the whole time with him.
- 40:12We've been we. Text all the time.
- 40:14No, no. We don't know that we we're
- 40:16live. We don't know.
- 40:18Listen, listen, then watch the show, which everybody, every
- 40:21Knick fan does. If you don't believe it, go
- 40:23watch the damn show. Go watch the replay of the show.
- 40:25And as far as I'm concerned, as far as I'm concerned, Mike Brown
- 40:29has proven himself after what he did against the Cavaliers in the
- 40:34second-half, what he did when they were down by a significant
- 40:38portion. It was more than 22 in the
- 40:40second-half. At one point I think it was 20.
- 40:42929 ERA. It was unbelievable.
- 40:45And what he did, kind of transitioning, moving players,
- 40:48putting players in certain positions defensively, that to
- 40:51me showed that is to me showed me that what he can do that Tom
- 40:57Thibodeau couldn't do against Indiana in game #2 after the
- 41:01Knicks lost that absolute catastrophical loss,
- 41:04catastrophic loss against you know who, the Indiana Pacers and
- 41:08Halpern hitting that shot that made me throw up.
- 41:11I don't sit here and beat around the Bush like you do.
- 41:13I tell the truth. I tell.
- 41:15The. Truth.
- 41:16I don't hurl like Speedy does when he goes when he goes out to
- 41:20eat for my. Birthday after he win.
- 41:22No, no, I tell the truth, dude. I tell the truth.
- 41:25You you're, you're saying. Things.
- 41:27See, that's the problem. That's the problem.
- 41:31After they win. That's the problem dude.
- 41:33That's the problem with you. So let me tell you why, how we
- 41:37can tell Mike Brown's a good coach.
- 41:39It isn't just the winning. It's how he's talking after the
- 41:41games and speed. I don't know if you saw this
- 41:43press conference, but the way he's explaining why they're
- 41:45successful, he goes. I just was we thought, you know,
- 41:49joining this program. It wasn't like, oh, maybe we
- 41:52work hard, we'll make the playoffs.
- 41:53Like they have a chance to go to the finals if they can unlock
- 41:56what it needs to be unlocked because they were terrible
- 41:58offensively last year on their tips.
- 42:00They were mediocre best. They were relying on hero ball
- 42:03with Brunson. Now they can beat you in a
- 42:05million different ways because they tried out a bunch of
- 42:07different things throughout the season.
- 42:09You know, that's why it bridges didn't look good at great
- 42:11stretches because they were trying stuff out that didn't
- 42:13future him and he had trouble finding his place and we were
- 42:16going crazy going what are you doing?
- 42:18This team is completely disjointed.
- 42:20It looks like there was a method to Browns madness because he's
- 42:22got It's been unlocked since that third game of the Hawks
- 42:26series. It's unlocked.
- 42:27James Harden is somebody we have to talk about, though before we
- 42:30finish this segment. Errol, did you hear what James
- 42:32Harden said after? That I heard I didn't want to
- 42:34mention he. Said that, I know we got beat by
- 42:37their defense, but we I still think we're the better team.
- 42:40Juan Soto Juan Soto did the same thing after Team USA beat them
- 42:44in the World Baseball Classic. He went out, oh, they beat us,
- 42:48but we're the better team, really.
- 42:50You're the better team. And then he came out after the
- 42:52fact. I remember when Soto said before
- 42:54it, spring training says, well, I'm not Otani yet, but I think
- 42:58I'm just as good and I'm gonna win the MVP this year.
- 43:00And that's the problem. When you open your mouth and you
- 43:02say things like that, people are going to attack you.
- 43:06And as far as I'm concerned with the media and the way the media
- 43:08works, James Harden's going to be laughed at.
- 43:10That is going to be the take of the playoffs.
- 43:13That will be the end take. Because no matter who wins this
- 43:17game, this series, in the in the championship, in the NBA
- 43:20championship, if it's the Spurs, OK, so or the OK C or the
- 43:24Knicks, it doesn't really matter.
- 43:25The fact here is, but all three teams deserve to be there.
- 43:29The Cavaliers do not. The Cavaliers showed you why.
- 43:33They were very, very lucky to be where they were and they went
- 43:36through two game sevens to get there.
- 43:39That's the facts. They didn't belong there.
- 43:42They wasn't a good team. They just won games.
- 43:44They stopped. There.
- 43:44Listen, they're good. They're good teams.
- 43:46They're a good team. They won. 50 games.
- 43:48They're good on paper. They won 50.
- 43:50Games. They weren't on paper, but they
- 43:51trained for games. Look at it.
- 43:53Why were they going to those game sevens?
- 43:55Why were they in those positions with that type of talent?
- 43:59That's the problem. That's what I'm saying.
- 44:00So it's a difference between having talent and actually
- 44:03winning basketball games. And you believe for some reason
- 44:06that you could just win based on talent.
- 44:08And I'm trying to tell you that if you don't structure, you
- 44:10don't have a scheme. They don't have anything in
- 44:12process. These people can't just roll the
- 44:14ball out, OK? Just be.
- 44:16Now, now I'm going to attack you because you don't know what
- 44:19you're talking about. Now, I'm going to attack you
- 44:21right now because I don't know if you're watching the OKC
- 44:24Thunder and the Spurs and you look at what the two talent
- 44:27who's dominating when it's Tutu who's been going back and forth,
- 44:30Shay Alexander and Wembe. The only reason why it's Tutu
- 44:35right now is because of their two superstars.
- 44:37That has nothing to do with coaching as it really has
- 44:39nothing. To change its.
- 44:41Schemes watch the games they. Only score like watch the teams
- 44:45it's 200 points out there between the your.
- 44:47Wrong queue. You're wrong Queue. 50 to 50
- 44:50points queue, So what are these other 140 points coming from?
- 44:54You're you're wrong. You're not.
- 44:57That's what I'm asking. So that's.
- 45:03What I'm? Trying to tell you that it's not
- 45:12just SGA and Whippy. They actually played.
- 45:17They changed with that made it. All right, what was the final
- 45:23score? The Spurs game?
- 45:24What was the final score of the K4?
- 45:26What was the final score? Big Mouth?
- 45:28What was the final score? What was the final score?
- 45:30What was the final score? What was the final score?
- 45:33What was the final score? If you think it's all about.
- 45:35Coaching what? Because you don't know?
- 45:38You don't. You're not watching the score.
- 45:44I'm watching the game. They won by 20, they won by 20.
- 45:47You think that scheme, You think that scheme after losing by 20,
- 45:51you think that scheme. They lost by 20.
- 45:55Call that scheme. You have a number, you know the
- 45:57deficit, but you don't know the score.
- 45:59That's not the argument here. You don't.
- 46:01You didn't watch the game. You didn't watch the game.
- 46:03You didn't. You're talking out of your.
- 46:05Ass watch the game you're talking.
- 46:07You really didn't. You really didn't.
- 46:09Because if you think it's talking about the, if you look
- 46:12at what's. Going on.
- 46:13Oh, my God. All right, Yeah.
- 46:14Are you done? Are you done?
- 46:15No, I'm not done. What I'm telling you is what's
- 46:18going on the court. Listen to this guys.
- 46:19I'm listening. Deficit.
- 46:20I'm listening. I'm not here what the score is
- 46:22that you didn't know. You only know the deficit of the
- 46:25score. That's what I'm trying to help
- 46:26you understand. There's something that's going
- 46:28on on the court, and it ain't just NBA team.
- 46:31It's a team sport. It's not an individual game.
- 46:34This ain't golf really OK, Really team sport, really.
- 46:37Even the golf, you got it really well, that's what.
- 46:39I'm trying, Really. You're wrong about that.
- 46:40It's not a team sport. The NBA is not a team sport.
- 46:43It's never been. It's a it's a star sport.
- 46:45It's a superstar sport. That's what it is.
- 46:48It's a superstar sport. If you don't have a star and a
- 46:51player that could take over a game, you're not winning.
- 46:54That's a fact. You look at webbing Yama, you
- 46:56look at Shay. They're 2 great players.
- 46:58They're 2 great players. Shay has for the the two games
- 47:01that they won, he had to take over.
- 47:03He had to be the guy and he's a flopper.
- 47:05And then you have webbing Yama and webbing Yama.
- 47:07He has. And you have webbing Yama, who
- 47:09can take over the games in many, many different ways.
- 47:11You look at Jaylen Brunson in all four games.
- 47:13Jaylen Brunson, no matter how many points he scored, was a big
- 47:16part of the reason why the New York Knicks won.
- 47:19And I look at this, you keep talking about schemes.
- 47:21It's all about schemes. This is not football.
- 47:24This. Is not basketball.
- 47:26Yes, no, you. Can't.
- 47:28It really isn't, because it really isn't.
- 47:30As much schemes as you think there's 5 plays there is.
- 47:33But dude, there's a 5 offensive plays and there's five defensive
- 47:37plays pretty much. Actually, it's really 2 plays.
- 47:40Is that a scheme or not? It's not a scheme.
- 47:43It is. It's not just they are going to
- 47:45win from that. Thank you to all the fans that
