- 0:14Hello and welcome to episode 29 of Bradders Grappas.
- 0:21As on this edition we look back at what happened at Bridge Pro
- 0:26Wrestling's brand new Level 3 at the Amblecote British Legion.
- 0:35But before we get on to and discussing what happened on that
- 0:41show, I've made reference that a couple shows ago I did one with
- 0:51good friend of the show unofficial Co host, as is the
- 0:55running joke now with Michael Smith.
- 0:59Oh, we did a double bill on Future Shock.
- 1:06I do have to admit that personally, I thought I came
- 1:14across crap. I mean the shows are crap to be
- 1:18fair. So I mean it's not the Bo end
- 1:24of. That said though, I wasn't as
- 1:31prepared as I normally am. I normally have a fair few
- 1:34notes. I can recall stuff looking back
- 1:38at videos I've taken, unfortunately I did not take as
- 1:44much stuff so. And of course my memory again is
- 1:50pretty crap at the best of times.
- 1:54It doesn't help either that I left it so long to record.
- 2:00But when you're not well, you're not well.
- 2:05Miles truly was the the MVP of that show.
- 2:09He kind of carried me through it, so I don't suppose it fully
- 2:17needs to be said, but at the same time, I kind of do these as
- 2:23a bit of fun and like a bit of a hobby.
- 2:27But at least if I put something out I want it to be at least
- 2:31some modicum good. And in fairness I was pretty
- 2:39crap, but hopefully that was just me being very rusty
- 2:47revealing shows again. So hopefully from this point
- 2:51onwards I kind of not the confidence, but I hopefully I
- 2:58can improve from that Episode 28.
- 3:04With that said though, let's get into what happened at Bridge
- 3:10Pro, to which this was a brand new Level 3, the third
- 3:18installment of this show if you like.
- 3:24Of course it saw me making the almost traditional train and
- 3:31shuttle journeys there now with Manchester to Wolverhampton,
- 3:36Wolverhampton to Smethwick, Galton Bridge.
- 3:43Then from there you go to Stourbridge Junction and take
- 3:47the, I think it's the smallest shuttle in Europe I believe.
- 3:56And that takes you from Stourbridge Junction to
- 3:59Stourbridge Town. So if you are a train enthusiast
- 4:05or just a bit nerdy on trains, head to Stourbridge Town and you
- 4:11can see this shuttle in action. Heading back was eventful which
- 4:22required the shuttle from town back to Junction, but then from
- 4:28Junction having to take the train all the way to Birmingham
- 4:35Snow Hill. Kind of like a 10 minute walk
- 4:39through Birmingham City centre past the cathedral.
- 4:45Getting lost and finding my way to Birmingham New Street where
- 4:53Aussie the ball the mechanical ball which became a halt hit
- 5:00during the Commonwealth Games. It's always nice to see Ozzy
- 5:08wearing a Peaky Blinders cap. Obviously because they were
- 5:13promoting Peaky Blinders and it's predominantly sat in
- 5:19Birmingham so not much of A shock there.
- 5:23To be fair it did also have me getting a message off someone.
- 5:33I don't want to say who it is, but they saw my post and they
- 5:40had posted literally the same thing I did of the bull.
- 5:47And if I had been there about 10 or if I'd posted it 10 minutes
- 5:54later, I could have had a chat with this person as we were both
- 6:00making journeys kind of around. But it was not to be.
- 6:08But I'm sure I'll catch up with them at a later date.
- 6:14So as I say, we come to a brand new Level 3A card which featured
- 6:24no more than seven matches on it.
- 6:31I had to check then. So we start with the opening
- 6:38match, originally scheduled to be that of Charles Crowley, the
- 6:45Edgar Adams. Unfortunately Charles Crowley
- 6:49had to pull out due to a opportunity that was too good,
- 7:01so unfortunately we did not see the spectacular twat and saw
- 7:09Zach Walker coming in to replace him.
- 7:13A very able replacement and hometown hero of Stourbridge.
- 7:21And this was really a rematch from Double Tap last April in
- 7:29which I had it down as one of the best matches I saw in 2025.
- 7:39And so I, I kind of expected a very good match out of these two
- 7:47and boy did we get 1. So checking the notes that I
- 7:54have both men looking for early dominance in this match as both
- 8:02kind of showcase their high flying abilities.
- 8:08Walker leaps over the top rope and comes down on Edgar as the
- 8:15man called the future in Zack Walker.
- 8:20They gain momentum. Adams then catches Walker
- 8:25running into the corner, then hits a standing rock bottom
- 8:31before following it up. Following it up with a kind of
- 8:35sidewinder kick does a strange little strut which I imagine is
- 8:44a little in joke, but then hits a drop kick to the bottom rope
- 8:51that Walker is lying on the speed demon at being.
- 8:57Edgar Adams then kind of sits Zack up, kicks him square in the
- 9:04back before Walker fires up with chops, slaps, and any other kind
- 9:11of attacking move before hitting a drop kick and sends his
- 9:19opponent flying backwards into the turnbuckle.
- 9:25Adams then goes to hit a suplex which is reversed into a Slumdog
- 9:31Millionaire by Walker. A gorgeous springboard cutter
- 9:36from Edgar draws A2 count. A released suplex followed by a
- 9:44kick to the head finds the mark on Walker again.
- 9:49Only gets a 2 count. Edgar then goes for a
- 9:53Frankensteiner, but is caught by Walker who nails a powerbomb
- 10:00reversal. Walker then goes on to hit a OH,
- 10:06reverses a potential move and hits a spinning twisting DDT as
- 10:17Edgar goes flying out of the ring almost 1/2 and half of a
- 10:25rock selling a stunner and Shawn Michaels overselling when he
- 10:32faced Hogan. But then we see Walker reverses
- 10:39A powerbomb attempt into a kind of West Coast pop manoeuvre.
- 10:44Adams then reverses a move into a tombstone for two both MO At
- 10:52both MO, both men then have the same idea of going to hit
- 10:57springboard manoeuvres, but where Adams looked to hit a Nova
- 11:04cutter, Zack Walker kicks his opponent in the head in mid air
- 11:10and gains the pinfall victory. For the 1-2 and the three, this
- 11:19was a superb opening match. As I said, these two put on a
- 11:26hell of a contest last year in April.
- 11:33I think that match might just just out click this one.
- 11:45Even so, still a hell of an opening match.
- 11:50A lot going on, but having Walker and Adams, who are two of
- 11:59my favourites at Bridge Pro, I love watching them.
- 12:05I mean, I could see Walker when he comes to the Plaza, but
- 12:12again, it's always great to see these two in the ring.
- 12:16And I would not be against the third because I think these two
- 12:22are arguably the brightest stars at Bridge Pro.
- 12:31Someone tries to message me, but yeah, hell of an opener.
- 12:38Superb match. Hopefully when they upload it,
- 12:42you'll see. But yeah, two thumbs up for them
- 12:47both. Before we got into match #2
- 12:55which was a triple threat tag team encounter, we had the
- 13:01bridge owner Ryan Parrott coming out and raising the stakes to
- 13:08the next contest by making it a #1 contenders match for the tag
- 13:16team titles. He would also go on to add that
- 13:23the current champions in the Exile pack, that being Alex
- 13:28Connors and Luke Douglas because they have not shown the tag
- 13:35belts since winning them and they are currently under lock
- 13:39and key in two separate briefcases.
- 13:44Parrots has made it known now that if they do not show off the
- 13:49tag team titles, I imagine at the next show which will be may
- 13:54the 1st, that both of them will be banished from Bridge Pro
- 14:01Wrestling champions or not and they will be gone forever.
- 14:09Which drew a massive cheers from the crowd in attendance.
- 14:15So with this now being a #1 Contenders match, the teams
- 14:24involved were the relentless All Stars in Rhiannon, Jade and Ruby
- 14:31Manitoba. Team 2 was a Luna and Lila Kyle
- 14:38and Team 3 was Duchess Sofia and Tara Grey.
- 14:47Now traditionally when you have a triple threat tag team match
- 14:53or a four corners match you tend to start off with two people and
- 14:59then you have the whole blind tags or A tag will come in and
- 15:07but you still always end up with two people.
- 15:10On this occasion you always had three people involved in the
- 15:16match which made it quite interesting it has to be said.
- 15:23So with that being said, we we definitely knew who the crowd
- 15:30did not like in this contest as you had Duchess Sophia and Tara
- 15:37Grey being the most hated team in this contest.
- 15:43The relentless All Stars were making their debuts, Aluna made
- 15:49her Bridge Pro debut on the last show back in December at Holiday
- 15:55Havoc and Lala Kyle has been almost a staple of Bridge Pro
- 16:03since It kind of got going really.
- 16:07So the crowd was kind of split between them, two teams on who
- 16:12they wanted to win, but in in no uncertain terms did they let
- 16:19everyone know who they were not fans of.
- 16:28So it started with Sophia and Grey just really playing up to
- 16:36being kind of like their their villainous roles in this contest
- 16:41and played it to a tee. It was so much fun watching them
- 16:47to just being asses which which you want from kind of the
- 16:54villains. Things then got under way with a
- 16:59freeway test of strength as we had a Luna and Rhiannon, Jade
- 17:06and Tara Grey all kind of linking up and had Grey being
- 17:13the, I don't want to say the weak link, but they kind of she
- 17:22didn't have the advantage in the test of strength.
- 17:26They kind of worked together against her.
- 17:29However, Tara would then overpower both, sending both
- 17:36opponents colliding into one another, then kind of went
- 17:43Cowardly Heel, kind of just attacking both and being, as I
- 17:51say, villainous, leading to Aluna and Jade just waiting for
- 17:59her to do something. And Grey immediately ran to the
- 18:04corner where her tag partner was tagged in.
- 18:08Duchess Sophia, who thought she was clearly better than everyone
- 18:14there, not just in the ring but outside the ring as well.
- 18:20And upon getting inside the square circle saw her foot
- 18:25catching the bottom rope falling face first on the mat, leading
- 18:32to everyone laughing at her. Even her tag partner who had to
- 18:37stifle the laugh and went on a tirade of having a go at
- 18:43everyone else telling them to stop laughing.
- 18:46It's not funny. But then we ended up with
- 18:54Duchess hitting a beautiful back angle slam, or to give it
- 19:00another way, the angle slam. Ruby Manitoba then got whipped
- 19:07into the ropes and did a handstand springboard backwards
- 19:14role which then saw her hitting a picture perfect drop kick on
- 19:20Sophia. Rhiannon and Ruby then combined
- 19:24to attack Lala Kyle with a nice little tandem as it saw Manitoba
- 19:33tripping up Kyle and with Lila on her knees.
- 19:38Rhiannon and Jade then kind of drilled her head into the mat
- 19:41with addt. Tara Grey then chops Rhiannon in
- 19:48the corner with her partner illegally holding on.
- 19:54Then we see a Luna getting the kind of hot tag in a sense as
- 20:02she goes all out attacking anyone and everyone, which makes
- 20:09completely no sense what I've just said, but she attacks
- 20:12everyone. However, she would then get cut
- 20:16off and has Grey hitting a hip attack on the ropes of which
- 20:25Eluna was kind of laying straddled.
- 20:28On the bottom rope the second time they went to do it, Duchess
- 20:33held the arms of a Luna. However a Luna would get free
- 20:40and Sophia would take the brunt of the hip attack as Tara Grey
- 20:47absolutely wallop. So with Sophie who was on the
- 20:52outside, Sophie then goes to get back in the ring.
- 20:59Tara Grey is full of remorse and apologises constantly saying I'm
- 21:04so sorry, I'm so sorry, I'm so sorry.
- 21:08We then see Grey, Duchess, Kyle and Luna all throwing fists and
- 21:16arms and limbs at each other. All the while the relentless All
- 21:21Stars hit a rocket launcher with Rhiannon Jade launching Ruby
- 21:27Manitoba into her opponents. Then the match kind of breaks
- 21:33down as firstly Lila Kyle hits a code breaker on Duchess Sophia.
- 21:42Tara, Grey and Aluna find themselves hitting super kicks
- 21:47on one another. Duchess head butts Aluna that
- 21:53sees a Lunar and Grey heading to the outside and having their own
- 21:59little personal scrap. Meanwhile we have Ruby Manitoba
- 22:05performing a all I've said a Tarantula like move because I
- 22:11can't remember what it's called, but effectively has her legs
- 22:17around the neck of her opponent but has gone backwards over the
- 22:25rope and is effectively kind of just stretching the neck really.
- 22:34Aluna and Grey as I say have a mini fight on the outside which
- 22:39continues on well after the match.
- 22:43In the ring however, we see Jade and Manitoba hitting a really
- 22:51beautiful tag team move which I've never particularly seen
- 22:55before and is a powerbomb into a code break combo to pick up the
- 23:03victory and see the Relentless All Stars as your new number one
- 23:09contenders for the tag team titles.
- 23:15This match was a whole lot of fun.
- 23:20Everyone in this match came across a * Jade and Manitoba.
- 23:29I think they grew more into this contest as it went on because
- 23:37they they seemed very quiet early on.
- 23:42Aluna is a I'd probably say the the bigger name from kind of the
- 23:53women that's on this match, which is no disrespect to the
- 23:59others. You've got Lala Kyle, who I
- 24:05haven't seen for I say I haven't seen her for a fair, but I did
- 24:11see on the last show, which is an absolute lie on my part, but
- 24:17Kyle is she. It's almost like Kyle does not
- 24:22have much of A like a thing going, which again, not everyone
- 24:28will have like a storyline on these shows.
- 24:33But having her team up with a Luna and in this match they were
- 24:39really solid tag team and I would not be against these two
- 24:46trying to try and get a shot at the tag belts at a future date.
- 24:53Sophia and Grey Sophia impressed me back in December at Holiday
- 25:01Havoc. Tara Grey I had not seen before
- 25:08prior to this show, but one thing she did, she had so much,
- 25:18the crowd were so against her and to have so much hate on your
- 25:28debut from a crowd, it's, it's a skill, I will say that.
- 25:37But she arguably, I would say the MVP of this match again, I
- 25:44could say Sophia as well. Them just really kind of playing
- 25:52up to the the heels rule, all the the rule Breakers to give it
- 25:59another term. They did their job exceptionally
- 26:03well. And I would definitely love to
- 26:07see Sophia and Tara Grey back at bridge pro.
- 26:12So if you're watching Ryan as if I have Paul.
- 26:19So that was from match #2. Match #3 saw Chantelle Jordan
- 26:24taking on tape Mayfair's and before we got into the match,
- 26:31Mayfair's asked for the microphone.
- 26:35The the chant of Greasy at Mayfair's was quite comical, one
- 26:45of the few times that the crowd seemed very very vocal.
- 26:52I don't know why, but this is the first time I can remember a
- 26:57bridge show where the crowd were not as ravid as normal.
- 27:06Whether that was because of the the new set up with the tables I
- 27:10do I do not know. I cannot explain, but it just
- 27:19the crowd just didn't seem as vocal throughout the show as
- 27:25normal. Again, sometimes that can
- 27:28happen. However, take running the crowd
- 27:34down, telling them to bask in his greatness, of which a lot of
- 27:39us do. He said he'd make light work of
- 27:43Chantelle Jordan because she was a little girl.
- 27:49Chantelle takes exception as you would imagine, using her martial
- 27:55arts kicks to good effect and her educated feat would find
- 28:01many marks on Tate Mayfair's. Mayfair's then come straight
- 28:08back with some mounted punches and shouting at the crowd.
- 28:14I thought you said she was going to kill me.
- 28:17In his kind of London accent. Chantal then hits a Hurricane
- 28:22Rana, but Tate regains control standing on the ankle of Jordan
- 28:29and targets it for certain times in the match.
- 28:37Mayfair's and Chantel both end up flying over the top rope.
- 28:43This is after Mayfair's pass her in a power bomb position, and
- 28:50much like you'd see in a rumble where both participants go over,
- 28:55that's what happened. Tate tucking nasty fall to the
- 29:00wooden floor the the fudge was quite sickening it has to be
- 29:07said. However, Tate would grab the leg
- 29:12of Jordan kind of throwing it behind her and Jordan went face
- 29:19First off the apron looked a bit gnarly as well.
- 29:25Chantelle then went to hit her free running boots in the corner
- 29:30with Mayfair's just crown into the bottom rung if you like of
- 29:38the turnbuckle. But on the 3rd and final
- 29:43attempt, Mayfair's slid out of the ring with Chantel missing
- 29:50and becoming Air Jordan effectively.
- 29:54Mayfair's then come running back into the ring, hits a beautiful
- 29:59running clothesline and hits an aeroplane spinning slam to gain
- 30:06a 2 count. After some running knees to
- 30:12Jordan, of which all were vicious running knees by
- 30:17Mayfair's, he then picks her up and looks set to tombstone
- 30:23Jordan out on the outside climbing up the the ring steps.
- 30:31However Chantelle manages to drop down dropping Tate head
- 30:36first on those stairs and almost gets a count out victory.
- 30:45However, Mayfair's would get back in the Jordan hits a kind
- 30:50of hooked legged Michinoku driver type goes for a roll up
- 30:56but cannot keep Mayfair's down. However, with Jordan vertical,
- 31:03she manages to kick him in the back of the head, leading to the
- 31:08bad girl picking up the victory in what was a heck of a match.
- 31:18Both of these are kind of well established on the Brit
- 31:24wrestling circuit. First time we've seen Mayfair's
- 31:29at Bridge Pro again plays his role to it.
- 31:36I love watching Mayfair's. Always, always worth the money
- 31:44on any show. This was a really solid match.
- 31:51I wouldn't go more than it was very solid.
- 31:59I think it was very much a case of Mayfair's coming out saying
- 32:08I'm going to almost being like the the male chauvinistic of
- 32:14this piece and Jordan just not kind of wanting to wilt to him.
- 32:23But again, Mayfair's playing the role of just a really asshole.
- 32:29To be fair is I think where you get Tay at his best.
- 32:35Chantal is like the silent assassin in certain times and
- 32:40this is one of them. Does not need to say anything
- 32:45because her feet and vicious strikes will always do the
- 32:53talking. So really good match and took us
- 32:59to match #4 which was your main event for the first half for the
- 33:07Bridge Pro Grand title. The challenger Samuel Hughes
- 33:14faces the champion in Brandon Jordan and going into this
- 33:22contest, Jordan, who's making his six Defence of the Bridge
- 33:29Grand Pro title. It's fair to say that he has
- 33:36picked up some questionable victories in recent times but is
- 33:44still or was at this point in time.
- 33:49I've probably ruined the spoiler there.
- 33:54Has managed to hold on to that title while Samuel Hughes has
- 34:00done a complete 180 of where he was at last year's Brand New
- 34:06Level show as it saw him in a tables match.
- 34:12He was at the table. It was a no holds barred match.
- 34:15I take it back against TJ Rex and was one of the most brutal
- 34:24but one of the best matches that I had down for 2025.
- 34:33Since then he's been kicked out of the Queen's Catch, which has
- 34:39beamingly gone a bit quiet in recent times.
- 34:44He slowly managed to turn the fans round to becoming more of a
- 34:50fan favourite now and him winning the Rumble at Holiday
- 34:56Havoc last December. So you could say the start of
- 35:04where the fans have fully accepted him because a lot prior
- 35:10was whoever he would face. You should come out trying to
- 35:17say I've turned over a new leaf. No one would believe him, but as
- 35:22we've kind of moved over the months, it definitely feels like
- 35:28Samuel Hughes has changed on the he stepped out of the dark side
- 35:35and is now a fan favourite. The match itself looking at the
- 35:43notes sees Hughes coming out firing, hitting a spinning elbow
- 35:52off the ropes, Jordan then trips use up and nails a really nice
- 35:59standing moonsault. We then have Jordan 2 handing 2
- 36:07handed chopping the challenger on the back and Jordan's chops
- 36:13are quite vicious and loud, but compared to the chops we have
- 36:19later on, these were mere raspberries compared to later
- 36:27on. We then go back into the ring
- 36:33and see Brandon hitting an exploder suplex to put him back
- 36:38in charge. We then have Hughes getting sent
- 36:44into the ring steps on the outside, however, he manages to
- 36:48stop himself and sees almost in a Looney Tunes way, Brandon
- 36:55going face first into those steps instead.
- 37:00The crowd I've put are very split over who they want to win
- 37:05this because while Brandon is very kind of heelish in his
- 37:13tendencies, he still kind of shows some fun favourite moves.
- 37:24But things would change as we go along.
- 37:28The red headed Rascal. Despite both of these men being
- 37:33red headed, I arguably say Brandon is more red more red
- 37:38headed than Samuel Hughes. But that being said, Hughes hits
- 37:45an X Factor on the champion for a 2 count, then a lariat, but a
- 37:52spinning slam by Jordan sees this match being very nip and
- 37:57tuck and the result up in the air.
- 38:02Hughes then hits his first dead eye of this contest, hitting it
- 38:09outside on the ring apron. He follows that up with a
- 38:13powerbomb and a running knee to the head with a double
- 38:19underhook. DDT by the challenger, but
- 38:22Jordan kicks out. Brandon then hits a frog splash
- 38:28for two. Samuel Lewes then hits A1 Winged
- 38:33Angel. Not what I've put.
- 38:35One Winged Angel also gets a 2 count.
- 38:42The challenger then hits a second Deadeye in this contest,
- 38:47hits a Lariat on Jordan, or intends to at least, but sees
- 38:53Jordan pulling ref Lilith in the way of it.
- 38:57Who takes the brunt of the Lariat?
- 39:03The champion, much like in recent times resorts to the
- 39:07cheap way out, brings the Grand Pro title into the into play
- 39:15where Samuel Hughes ducks the initial belt to the head.
- 39:21The two then have a tug of war over the title.
- 39:25Jordan let's go of the belt and as Hughes turns round, Brandon
- 39:31kicks the challenger squarely in the balls before hitting a
- 39:36flying knee that is into the title and into the head of the
- 39:42challenger. Referee comes out from the back
- 39:47to make the count. 1-2 kick out by the challenger.
- 39:54Brandon is fuming, takes out the referee with a super kick, then
- 40:01proceeds to just give the referee a good kick in.
- 40:06Jordan again goes to use goes to use the belt, Hughes ducks it
- 40:12once again before hitting 1/3 deadeye in this match to finally
- 40:20win and becomes your new Bridge Pro Grand Champion.
- 40:27And after the match it sees both men shaking hands and having
- 40:33photos with the fans at the interval.
- 40:41So we go into the interval and as we're about to start the
- 40:46second-half, we see Brandon Jordan attacking a fan and owner
- 40:53Ryan Parrott before turning his attention to the now new Bridge
- 41:00Pro champion. Putting the boots to him before
- 41:05putting the title belt, grabbing his head and saying you want
- 41:09this, Grabs his arms, pulls them back foot in the square of the
- 41:17top of his back and drills his head into the title belt.
- 41:22But he's on the mat, which has Samuel Hughes completely laid
- 41:28out and has the outgoing champion taking the belt with
- 41:35him and leaves the scene of the crime with both Hughes and
- 41:41Parrot needing to be held to the back.
- 41:47But Parrot is kind of more able to walk under his own steam and
- 41:53helps the new champion to the back.
- 41:58What happens from this point onwards, we are still unsure as
- 42:03of now, but I think that will become clearer before the next
- 42:09show match #5 to determine the number one contender for the
- 42:18Bridge Pro Grand title. So having saw a new champion, we
- 42:24now looked to see who would be the first challenger or Samuel
- 42:31Hughes, and this would involve CJ Rowlings and Joe Alleza.
- 42:41So this would be the second number one Contenders match we
- 42:47had of the night as the company builds its kind of title picture
- 42:54moving forward. We start off with Joe Blazer
- 43:00showing his wrestling abilities, taking the bigger man down and
- 43:06then just using kind of amateur wrestling moves, spinning round.
- 43:13Spinning the other way normally results in like little slaps to
- 43:19the back of the head and kind of posing.
- 43:24However, due to the nature of this contest, it saw Blazer
- 43:31playing in some forearm smashes into the back of Rolling's head
- 43:38and you could tell this was going to be a war between these
- 43:44two. Rollings then uses the ropes for
- 43:49leverage as he's in a wrist hold by Blazer.
- 43:54He then does a flying shoulder tackle and has CJ rallying,
- 44:00hitting a really nice Northern light suplex and sends Joe
- 44:07flying over the top rope with a low bridge and having him nearly
- 44:12crash into US. Blazer then knocks the phone out
- 44:20my hand. Cheers Joe.
- 44:23Blazer then Yanks CJ off the rope, stunning his arm as the
- 44:29arm comes down off the top rope, which is not a pleasant feeling.
- 44:34Blazer then goes to work on his opponent, stomping over the
- 44:39torso, the legs, literally anything he can do to gain an
- 44:45advantage. Would try a multitude of
- 44:51submission holes but none are forthcoming.
- 44:56CJ then does a drop toehold into the ropes and hits an exploding
- 45:03clothesline, with Rowling's making a rally in this contest.
- 45:12CJ then hits a LaBelle lock on Blazer, but Blazer then hits his
- 45:18kind of toad breaker move but holds the arms of his opponent
- 45:27and falls back, just wrenching the arms out of the socket
- 45:31really. Rollins then goes for a splash
- 45:36but misses. Joe hits the Blazer Glory but
- 45:40only gets a 2 count. Blazer then goes for another
- 45:45pinning attempt but holds the middle rope which has ref Lilith
- 45:50staring at him stopping her count.
- 45:54Joe just shouts at her saying count.
- 45:57I don't care if it's illegal, just count.
- 46:01That's not how you win Joe. There we have Blazer and Lilith
- 46:06having a little argument after the disagreement.
- 46:11It sees Rollins hitting a Running Spear followed by a
- 46:17Balkan Arrow looking move to pick up the victory and is now
- 46:24your number one contender for the Grand Pro title.
- 46:31After the match it saw CJ offering his hand to Joe.
- 46:38Where previous occasions have saw a few people try and do
- 46:45this, Valentino tried it back in October and saw Blazer opting
- 46:52not to shake the hand of his opponent.
- 46:56However, on this occasion, he would shake the hands of
- 47:00Rollins, begrudgingly, I think it's fair to say, before exiting
- 47:05the ring and heading to the back.
- 47:11This was it was a good, it was a good match.
- 47:17At the time. It felt like it went on a tiny
- 47:20bit, but having time pass a bit, I think you can sort of like on
- 47:33oh, get more sense of it. It was a really solid match.
- 47:42Blazer, you know what you're going to get with him.
- 47:45Always a top performer. Rollins, I think this is one of
- 47:52his best performances I've seen of him at Bridge Pro.
- 47:59I think it's going to be interesting to see what they do
- 48:03with Rollins. I I actually think he may suit
- 48:10being a bad guy moving forward, but again, probably will not
- 48:19happen. But I think he would be a really
- 48:25solid rule breaker. But for a #1 contenders match
- 48:32it, it did everything you wanted.
- 48:34Two men that won a crack at a title, neither man giving an
- 48:41inch and getting a really good match.
- 48:46So not not more you can ask really match.
- 48:52Oh God, give me a second match. Number six.
- 49:06My God. A four way featuring Liam Jones,
- 49:15Alex Connors, Noe and Noah and Hanyadi Thomas.
- 49:26Oh my God S if you like truly like big meaty men slapping
- 49:38meat. This my friends is for us.
- 49:43This is for us sick bastards. Oh the those I have chatted to
- 49:52about this show will know that of any match that took place,
- 49:58this is the one that I have gone on about more than any for damn
- 50:05good reason. So we start this contest with
- 50:12Alex Connors shouting at both Anuka and Thomas saying we need
- 50:20to team together to take down Liam Jones who is the the
- 50:24biggest man in this match. And then you have both Thomas
- 50:32and Anuka just staring at the crowd, looking at each other,
- 50:37thinking OK. And then, as Connors turns round
- 50:42to lead this three pronged attack, Connors finds himself on
- 50:51his own, it's fair to say, and proceeds to get a slap by both
- 50:59Thomas and Anuka. Connors is whipped into the
- 51:05corner, Thomas hits a running uppercut, Liam Jones runs at him
- 51:14two handed and have slapped to the chest.
- 51:18Oh dear God, everyone I think winced at these chops.
- 51:30It's fair to say if Connors did not look like a Robin after this
- 51:34show, he must have a hell of a kind of body armour, which is
- 51:41his chest. That's all I have to say because
- 51:43he took the lion's share of the chops in this contest.
- 51:49We then had a strong style section with Liam Jones and
- 51:54Hunyadi Thomas as them two traded forearm, sorry, forearm
- 52:00shots, slaps. And when I say slaps, these were
- 52:08some of the hardest chops that you will arguably hear anywhere.
- 52:20I mean it could because it was a low ceiling, but dear God,
- 52:25these, these chops of which I will have to do a mini montage
- 52:35of which I may just put it kind of I'll put it at the end of the
- 52:41match so you can hear how loud these chops and vicious they
- 52:48were because dear God, they were vicious.
- 52:54The two men then broke off during their little kind of hit
- 52:59me harder and then found Connors on his own saw them chop Connors
- 53:07who I I genuinely felt some sympathy for Connors with all
- 53:13these chops he was taking. Anuka then chops Connors as
- 53:19well, of which we then get the biz Oh random thing of both
- 53:27Thomas and Jones heading to the bar sharing a glass of beer with
- 53:33each other. I say, what's the other two just
- 53:37scrap in the ring. Anuka having the best of the
- 53:43exchanges with Connors nailing him with two chops that were up
- 53:49there with loud kind of how loud they were.
- 53:56Connors though would equally come back and hit two chops of
- 54:01his own and they were equally as loud as well.
- 54:07I suppose it fired him up enough to do these kind of chops.
- 54:13He then hits a double stomp to the back of his opponent, pulls
- 54:17his leg. As Anuka was on the middle rope
- 54:24or Brett's rope, you will effectively feels twice as bad.
- 54:31They saw him then going kind of like the top of his back first
- 54:35into the turnbuckle, finishes with a knee to the back, kind of
- 54:41like Bane does to Batman, but Anuka kicks out at 2:00.
- 54:50We then have everyone returning back to the ring.
- 54:55However, as they go to enter the ring, they drag Connors out and
- 55:02with Jones about to hit another chop to the chest of Connors, he
- 55:11invites one of the fans to come over to do it.
- 55:15It. It was definitely a chop and I
- 55:22think you could see Connors thinking that was a bit harder
- 55:24than I wanted. Everyone gets back in.
- 55:29Jones hits a spinebuster on Thomas.
- 55:34All for them, even nails, super kicks, boots or jumping knees.
- 55:40Finishes with Connors hitting a clothesline on Thomas.
- 55:46Noah then hits a vertical suplex on Connors.
- 55:51Thomas hits a running spear on Noe, who then responds himself
- 55:59with a Deaf Valley Driver and a Frog splash.
- 56:03Jones stops the count before hitting a spinning sit down
- 56:08powerbomb. Connors drops Thomas across his
- 56:12knee for a kind of neck breaker. Thomas then hits a pop up
- 56:19powerbomb on Connors. Jones hits a Brain Buster on
- 56:24Thomas and hits a mighty Lariat on Connors to get the 1-2 and
- 56:34the three to pick up the victory.
- 56:38Oh Lord, I it's one of those matches where you feel like you
- 56:47need a cigarette straight after. It was incredible.
- 56:57Did it have much in the way of kind of like flippy moves?
- 57:02Not really. Did it have a lot of meat in it?
- 57:07Yeah, damn right it did. Easily up there with one of my
- 57:12favourite matches of 2026. It is already on the board,
- 57:19actually. All four men in this match
- 57:25deserve credit for putting on an absolute banger.
- 57:31Again, when this match gets posted, watch this because you
- 57:36will watch it over and over and over again.
- 57:41I know I will at least my my my if I have to give a rating of
- 57:48match of the night. This gets it easily.
- 57:55Not to say any of the other matches weren't weren't good,
- 58:00but this was my kind of match and I loved it and I was here
- 58:06for it. And I want to see, I want to see
- 58:10a second match. I want to see, I want to see
- 58:12another four way between these 4 'cause it was bloody grey.
- 59:07Oh. That all means we come to the
- 59:23main event for there is a World of Wrestling title in a No
- 59:30Disqualification match with the champion Steve Valentino taking
- 59:37on Luke Douglas and well I'll come to the end of my thoughts
- 59:47on this. So both men came running out at
- 59:51each other at the start. Douglas has the early advantage
- 59:57before bringing weaponry into the ring. 2 chairs and we do the
- 1:00:03Star Wars Jewel of the Fate with the whole left, right, left
- 1:00:10right. Valentino comes out on top on
- 1:00:16that battle, then puts the chair on his fallen opponent, goes hit
- 1:00:23a sent on splash, but somehow landing on the chair on his
- 1:00:28opponent causes him more damage than his opponent, which I
- 1:00:33didn't particularly understand that one.
- 1:00:38The two then go to the outside and sees the People's captain
- 1:00:43grabbing a plastic lid off my mate Ian who brought it along.
- 1:00:49Because when it's like bring your own weapons, Ian will
- 1:00:54always have something. It then sees Valentino taking
- 1:00:59the lid and having it shatter off the head of Douglas.
- 1:01:06And when I say shatter, it shattered.
- 1:01:10A good piece went back over our head and it just went all over
- 1:01:17the place. We then saw Valentino using a
- 1:01:22title belt from a fan that got used as well and the two men
- 1:01:29then fought on a table. At one point the table rocked
- 1:01:35quite shakily and everyone had to like hold the the table down
- 1:01:41to make sure it was a safe platform for both men.
- 1:01:47However, seconds later we see Valentino nailing Douglas with
- 1:01:52addt that saw the table break in half.
- 1:01:59If you're watching the visual version you will see what the
- 1:02:04the remains of that table was. We didn't know at the time, but
- 1:02:12it was an awkward landing because he seemed to fall down
- 1:02:17and then roll off because of there was no table.
- 1:02:21And they were even more lucky because a couple more inches and
- 1:02:26you would have had metal. So yeah, crazy in crazy spot,
- 1:02:37but there we go. Douglas then froze Valentino
- 1:02:42into the ring post and for the first time in Bridge Pro, we see
- 1:02:48blood as Valentino gets into the ring and we see the Crimson mask
- 1:02:58starting to be worn by the People's Captain.
- 1:03:02Douglas would bring in a kendo stick.
- 1:03:08Douglas then claws at the wounds of Valentino's cut on his
- 1:03:13forehead. Douglas picks up the Candlestick
- 1:03:18and proceeds to try and wear out his opponent.
- 1:03:22Steve then flips the bird to Luke saying do whatever you
- 1:03:27want, I'm not giving up and would proceed to smash his
- 1:03:33opponent in the arm, the body, the legs, literally any limb he
- 1:03:42could, he just used it on him. Valentino then hits a spinning
- 1:03:49DDT or tornado DDT off the ropes.
- 1:03:56This then sees the tables turning as he grabs the kendo
- 1:04:00stick himself, uses it on his opponent and while Douglas sees
- 1:04:07just on his knees thinking don't hit me, don't hit me.
- 1:04:13Valentino has a sudden change of hearts and things No I'm not
- 1:04:18going to hit you with this. Then wants the crowd to quieten
- 1:04:23down, who at first do not want to be told to be quiet, but if
- 1:04:30they have to listen to Valentino who shouts at them to shut up.
- 1:04:36Then asks who wants to see Barbie.
- 1:04:40And all of a sudden eyebrows were raised and people were
- 1:04:46edging more forward in their seats.
- 1:04:49When we hear the word Barbie and wrestling in that context and
- 1:04:55produced a barbed wire weapon. Douglas, who is now pleading for
- 1:05:03his life saying please don't hit me, please don't hit me low
- 1:05:07blows. Valentino before he can use it.
- 1:05:11And of course, he who brings in a weapon shall suffer the kind
- 1:05:19of I can't say what the word I was going to say trash is trash.
- 1:05:26I can't even say that they suffer effectively and had
- 1:05:33Douglas putting the barbed wire across the forehead of
- 1:05:38Valentino. Douglas then sends Steve
- 1:05:43crashing through 2 Table 2 chairs that was set up as he
- 1:05:49hits a powerbomb and in a kind of comedy style after
- 1:05:55powerbombing him the two chairs just went ping.
- 1:06:02But in the end, it saw Valentino hitting ADDT on Douglas, another
- 1:06:09tornado DDT off Brett's rope on on a pile of chairs that were
- 1:06:16laid out as he defends his There Is a World of Wrestling title.
- 1:06:35I I will say this about the match.
- 1:06:38I there were a lot of good spots, but for me at least, this
- 1:06:50felt very much like it was Valentino doing everything.
- 1:06:59Even when he's taking all the hits and everything, it still
- 1:07:03feels very much like it's Valentino running the show.
- 1:07:12It felt very much like it was one, one man in this contest.
- 1:07:17Again, it could easily be an off night, but out of all the
- 1:07:25matches this one had a lot of hype into it, but for me it did
- 1:07:32not particularly hit as well. It did feel like Valentino did
- 1:07:40so much to try and get this to be as good as it was.
- 1:07:48I just feel feel it fell flat a fair bit, unfortunately, which I
- 1:07:56mean, it's it's rare you get a match that I don't particularly
- 1:08:01like. I wasn't really a fan of.
- 1:08:07I mean, you could see what they were going for, but it just
- 1:08:12didn't feel like it was two people in this match at all.
- 1:08:16It just felt like Valentino was carrying Douglas through this.
- 1:08:22Again, it could be a one off, but I was, I was very
- 1:08:28disappointed in this, in this contest, which I don't
- 1:08:33particularly like saying. But at the same time, if, if I'm
- 1:08:39reviewing things, I have to be honest, there's probably people
- 1:08:44that watch this that thought this was arguably the best match
- 1:08:49of the night and that that's, that's their view.
- 1:08:55Just me personally, I just didn't think it was as good as
- 1:09:03it could have been, which is probably the best way I can say
- 1:09:07it, which was a bit of a sour note to to leave on, but hey,
- 1:09:14what, what can you do? That said though, that was
- 1:09:21Bridge Pro Brand new Level 3. Their next show is May 1st at
- 1:09:29the Wollaston Village Hall for Exile, of which I think I may
- 1:09:36have tickets for. I am undecided yet to be to be
- 1:09:42perfectly honest, but there there are certain people on that
- 1:09:48show that I I like to see. So I I'm going more that way.
- 1:10:01But that was the the show. Any other business socials
- 1:10:11practise rappers on blue sky and YouTube If you want to watch the
- 1:10:15visual of this, why you'd want to I do not know.
- 1:10:22Brad has graps on Twitter and also I have a current poll on
- 1:10:32Instagram. It might have gone off by the
- 1:10:36time this goes out on whether people would like me to review
- 1:10:42the offering from North Wrestling last month in the
- 1:10:45Leeds for Everything is All Caps.
- 1:10:50If people do want that, I will have to call in a couple of
- 1:10:55favours because I do not want to do that one on my own as I don't
- 1:11:02particularly like doing shows on my own anyhow.
- 1:11:07I think it's better having a second or third person involved.
- 1:11:15Other than that, we will be on a mini break of sorts before we go
- 1:11:23into our big Manchester triple header on the 28th and the 30th
- 1:11:33of this month with future shock at the MMU in Manchester.
- 1:11:42That's on the 28th of March, the Saturday a double header
- 1:11:48followed by Catch Pro Wrestling on the following Monday nights,
- 1:11:56to which I think I could be wrong, is at Gorilla.
- 1:12:03If not, it is at the Red Arches. I should know this but I don't.
- 1:12:12But yes, that is all I have for this episode.
- 1:12:19Thank you for listening, watching whatever you've kind of
- 1:12:26done for this episode. If you ever want to leave
- 1:12:30feedback, I've kind of told you the the socials and will leave
- 1:12:35the socials at the bottom in the description.
- 1:12:40But for now at least, thank you for listening, watching and we
- 1:12:45will catch you.
