- 1:47Speaker 2: What'd you guys talk about today? They're on Excel one
- 1:50Speaker 2: of six point seven. What was the big topic the
- 1:52Speaker 2: Guthrie case. We did talk about that a little bit.
- 1:54Speaker 2: We were at Universe Orlando today, so yeah, very nice.
- 1:56Speaker 4: Yeah, so Marti Grossrodie Gras is going on.
- 1:58Speaker 5: So yeah, we we we kind of kept at light
- 2:00Speaker 5: for that over there, but we talked about it a
- 2:02Speaker 5: little bit because you kind of have to.
- 2:03Speaker 2: Yeah, you know, I mean it's like dominant, man. I mean,
- 2:05Speaker 2: it's either it's either politics or Guthrie. Yeah, those are
- 2:08Speaker 2: the two things that you can talk about this week.
- 2:10Speaker 5: And it changes so fast, Like we you know, when
- 2:11Speaker 5: I go to bed at night and it's one thing,
- 2:13Speaker 5: and then I get up in the morning and it's
- 2:15Speaker 5: like the night that they that they stopped the guy,
- 2:17Speaker 5: the traffic stop, guy that had him attained. When I
- 2:18Speaker 5: went to bed, he was detained. You when I woke up,
- 2:21Speaker 5: he was out speaking on his porch. He was halling
- 2:23Speaker 5: people to leave me the hell alone.
- 2:24Speaker 2: He was out begging people to clear his name.
- 2:27Speaker 4: Yeah. It's like I guess someone called and said, my
- 2:29Speaker 4: eyes look like his. Yeah, I'm like, that's messed up.
- 2:31Speaker 2: What's I adn't even grazier? And I mean right this afternoon,
- 2:34Speaker 2: they release the FEDS. I guess they go to this
- 2:37Speaker 2: very renowned what's the guy that draws the the artist,
- 2:43Speaker 2: the artist that they draw a picture where they think
- 2:45Speaker 2: the suspect looks at what's that called a sketch artist. Yeah,
- 2:48Speaker 2: a sketch art. Okay, okay, right, so I guess they
- 2:50Speaker 2: have a sketch out now based on the little bit
- 2:52Speaker 2: they know about this dude's eyes really, and they've drawn
- 2:55Speaker 2: like a full face and guide. I mean, he looks
- 2:58Speaker 2: to be like a Hispanic man five nine. They don't
- 3:02Speaker 2: really say a weight, but it looks like you could
- 3:04Speaker 2: be in that anywhere from one sixty five to one,
- 3:07Speaker 2: you know, eighty range or something like that, maybe a
- 3:09Speaker 2: little bit lighter or whatever. And it was just kind
- 3:12Speaker 2: of wild that they put out a like what a sketch, yeah,
- 3:15Speaker 2: when they only have like his eyes and that's it.
- 3:17Speaker 5: I mean, And the the ransom stuff is weird and
- 3:21Speaker 5: they give me money and I'll tell you who did it.
- 3:22Speaker 2: Stuff is weird and yeah, yeah, oh and that guy
- 3:24Speaker 2: said another letter yesterday.
- 3:26Speaker 5: Well he's a dumb, dumb because he's asking for a bitcoin,
- 3:29Speaker 5: which is less now than what the reward is. So
- 3:31Speaker 5: now you've made yourself a felon, and you're asking for
- 3:35Speaker 5: less money than you'd actually get by telling them, you idiot,
- 3:37Speaker 5: And it is.
- 3:38Speaker 2: A felony just for sending the letter.
- 3:39Speaker 5: Right, Yeah, I'm certain sending a letter like that's a crime,
- 3:42Speaker 5: because now you you're saying you know about a crime
- 3:45Speaker 5: not willing to tell you.
- 3:47Speaker 2: Know, we have a pontificated a number of things when
- 3:50Speaker 2: it comes to this case. Yesterday I said, the damn
- 3:52Speaker 2: gun looks like a tranquilizer gun. To me, it doesn't
- 3:54Speaker 2: look like a handgun. And the other thing was like
- 4:00Speaker 2: they found some gloves, but they also they identified the backpack.
- 4:03Speaker 4: We know that. Now.
- 4:04Speaker 2: I wonder if investigators are going around stores in that
- 4:08Speaker 2: area to see if anybody's bought clothes her size. I mean,
- 4:12Speaker 2: now it's in thirteen days.
- 4:14Speaker 4: Yeah, she didn't.
- 4:14Speaker 2: I mean, we don't know that she took extra clothes.
- 4:16Speaker 2: We don't know that she didn't. They haven't really reported
- 4:19Speaker 2: that any of her clothing was missing. But now you
- 4:20Speaker 2: have an eighty four year old woman, you know, in
- 4:22Speaker 2: the same clothing for thirteen days. I can only assume
- 4:25Speaker 2: maybe they at least made an attempt to get her
- 4:27Speaker 2: some fresh clothing.
- 4:28Speaker 4: Ain't no, kidnapper getting their fresh clothing.
- 4:30Speaker 2: Yeah, really four years old?
- 4:31Speaker 3: Dude?
- 4:31Speaker 4: Have you not seen the movie Ransom?
- 4:33Speaker 5: They just duck take the kid to the bed and
- 4:35Speaker 5: stuffed cofts serve down his throat.
- 4:36Speaker 4: That's it. No one's going to Ross dress for last
- 4:39Speaker 4: again outfits.
- 4:41Speaker 2: You don't know that we're looking for. We're looking for
- 4:43Speaker 2: he a Hispanic mail between twenty five and thirty five
- 4:45Speaker 2: buying granny panties. That's our APB. But the I mean
- 4:50Speaker 2: that would be the giveaway.
- 4:51Speaker 4: Wouldn't that be something if that's how he got busted?
- 4:53Speaker 6: Yeah?
- 4:53Speaker 4: Dude, yeah, man.
- 4:54Speaker 2: It was like, you know, the A couple of days afterwards,
- 4:56Speaker 2: I'm like, are you know she bled? Are they out
- 4:58Speaker 2: there looking at like CBS, walk Green drug stores? We're
- 5:00Speaker 2: going to see if somebody came in that next day
- 5:02Speaker 2: early I did looking for gauze or band aids or
- 5:04Speaker 2: anything like that.
- 5:05Speaker 4: I didn't see.
- 5:06Speaker 5: They were checking Amazon orders for the mouth light because
- 5:10Speaker 5: he had a mouth light like so a light that
- 5:12Speaker 5: a mechanic would use to bite down to light up
- 5:14Speaker 5: to use your hands. And they said very rarely to
- 5:17Speaker 5: anyone does both of that stuff because who needs that?
- 5:20Speaker 4: You know, he uses him it's myself.
- 5:22Speaker 2: Well, he uses the like the coal miner light because
- 5:24Speaker 2: he's a fisherman, so he needs both of his hands
- 5:26Speaker 2: to be able to fishly fish at night. And I
- 5:28Speaker 2: thought that was, like it just a little flash light,
- 5:30Speaker 2: because they always say, you like when you see the
- 5:31Speaker 2: Ocean thirteen movies, they don't have like a specific light.
- 5:34Speaker 2: It's just a little splash light they put in there.
- 5:35Speaker 5: Yeah, so they said they were searching Amazon orders for
- 5:37Speaker 5: that now, but I did here on the way in.
- 5:40Speaker 5: Actually the backpack things kind of throwing them off because
- 5:43Speaker 5: they checked the area, and I guess there's a large
- 5:46Speaker 5: number of homeless people that live not too far from there,
- 5:48Speaker 5: and every single one of them has a very similar
- 5:50Speaker 5: backpack really, so they're like, we've got twenty two thousand
- 5:53Speaker 5: backpacks to check right.
- 5:55Speaker 2: So, and the other thing too, is I guess they
- 5:56Speaker 2: have a guy who was trying to crawl over a
- 5:59Speaker 2: fence that looks to be about the same size or whatever,
- 6:03Speaker 2: just a few like a week beforehand. Somebody caught that
- 6:05Speaker 2: on a cam. So but other than that, I don't
- 6:08Speaker 2: know that there's any new pertinent information. Man, I gotta
- 6:10Speaker 2: tell you, thirteen days, dude, it does not look good man.
- 6:13Speaker 5: That's what I've been saying that, And I hate to
- 6:15Speaker 5: say it because it does sound I guess, yeah, kind
- 6:18Speaker 5: of dismissive.
- 6:19Speaker 4: But and I heard this, like on day.
- 6:21Speaker 5: Three from one of these FBI experts. He's like, kidnappers
- 6:24Speaker 5: aren't in this for the long haul.
- 6:25Speaker 2: No, they're not.
- 6:26Speaker 4: This is a twenty four hour turn and burn.
- 6:28Speaker 5: And this is a guy who's like, he was saying
- 6:30Speaker 5: that kidnapping is pretty common in other countries.
- 6:32Speaker 4: Here it's not right.
- 6:33Speaker 5: But another he's worked on teams where they're going to
- 6:37Speaker 5: get people that have been kidnapped, and he's like, if
- 6:39Speaker 5: it's more than twenty four to forty eight hours, it's
- 6:41Speaker 5: probably not real because they want money.
- 6:43Speaker 4: They're not trying to babysit anyone for fourteen days.
- 6:45Speaker 2: Especially an eighty four year old woman with cardiac issues,
- 6:48Speaker 2: with blood pressure issues who's not very mobile, so wherever
- 6:52Speaker 2: she is, they're not gonna be able to move her
- 6:53Speaker 2: around very quickly without literally picking her up and taking
- 6:56Speaker 2: her everywhere. You know, we had a little topic about
- 7:00Speaker 2: the other day when we were talking about another case.
- 7:02Speaker 2: You know, if this was your mom, right, and the
- 7:04Speaker 2: FEDS kind of went back to their databases for forty
- 7:08Speaker 2: fifty years or whatever. They looked at every possible kidnapping globally,
- 7:10Speaker 2: and of course with AI now you can that's a
- 7:12Speaker 2: snap of a finger right to have all that information.
- 7:15Speaker 2: And they told you that, you know, and they came
- 7:18Speaker 2: up to you and you said, you know what's going on,
- 7:20Speaker 2: you know, give me an update. And the update they
- 7:22Speaker 2: think is like, it ain't good, dude, you know. I
- 7:25Speaker 2: mean it's you know, fourteen days, she's eighty four years
- 7:27Speaker 2: old without her meds. Yeah, it isn't real solid. My
- 7:29Speaker 2: wife said to me, she goes, I'd rather them lie
- 7:32Speaker 2: to me. I'd rather them tell me that there's still hope,
- 7:35Speaker 2: that there's there's a more than possible way that she's
- 7:37Speaker 2: still alive and everything's good and you know, all the
- 7:40Speaker 2: hope now of course, And that's the thing to do
- 7:41Speaker 2: now because we really don't have any evidence outside of that.
- 7:44Speaker 2: But based on other cases and precedent from FBI files,
- 7:48Speaker 2: I wonder if they would want that, if the Feds
- 7:51Speaker 2: thought there's a possibility this is more of a recovery than,
- 7:55Speaker 2: you know, than finding her, would you want to know?
- 7:57Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean that's tough.
- 7:58Speaker 2: That is tough.
- 7:59Speaker 4: Isn't it.
- 7:59Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean I'm a super negative guy, so I
- 8:02Speaker 5: would have already assumed.
- 8:05Speaker 4: You're also very self aware bro worst.
- 8:07Speaker 5: So I would have already assumed the worst anyway, so
- 8:09Speaker 5: I wouldn't have bought it.
- 8:10Speaker 4: And if it's it's there's a really good chance. No,
- 8:12Speaker 4: there's not. I'm in therapy for that, right, not really,
- 8:15Speaker 4: But I have the same I should be, but I'm not.
- 8:17Speaker 2: I got a lot of that myself. I always assume
- 8:20Speaker 2: the worst because you know, growing up, you know, you
- 8:22Speaker 2: have you know, he kind of grew humbly and stuff,
- 8:24Speaker 2: and you always you always were told yeah, maybe you
- 8:26Speaker 2: know you know what?
- 8:27Speaker 4: Maybe meant right? No, Yeah, of course not. We'll see
- 8:32Speaker 4: and that means i'll tell you no later.
- 8:33Speaker 2: Yeah, well we'll see also means no, It just means
- 8:36Speaker 2: I don't want to tell you no.
- 8:37Speaker 4: Now. I can also see how with your reaction, right,
- 8:41Speaker 4: if it's.
- 8:41Speaker 5: Your mom, you're holding out hope, no matter what, just
- 8:43Speaker 5: because you want information, even if it's bad information. You
- 8:46Speaker 5: want factual, closure type information. So I get the And
- 8:49Speaker 5: Savannah Guther is not a dumb person.
- 8:50Speaker 2: Yeah, she's you know, he's the news anchor. She understands
- 8:53Speaker 2: the kind of reality of this. But right, it's kind
- 8:56Speaker 2: of interesting though, man, because God, there's really no you know,
- 8:59Speaker 2: you try to boil down why and other than the
- 9:01Speaker 2: fact that Savannah Guthrie is famous and worth of you know,
- 9:04Speaker 2: worth some money, you know, that would be the only
- 9:07Speaker 2: reason why. I still think it's somebody who is either
- 9:09Speaker 2: a vendor in that neighborhood or is associated with a
- 9:12Speaker 2: vendor in that neighborhood. That's what I believe, whether it
- 9:14Speaker 2: be a lawn guy, a pool guy, whatever the case
- 9:16Speaker 2: may be, somebody in that neighborhood found out that Savannah
- 9:19Speaker 2: Guthrie's mom and started thinking about doing this and making
- 9:22Speaker 2: themselves wealthy.
- 9:23Speaker 5: Do you you think the ransom thing is still a
- 9:26Speaker 5: real thing, because I don't.
- 9:27Speaker 3: You don't believe it is? No, no, no, I do
- 9:30Speaker 3: you believe the contact.
- 9:30Speaker 2: Being made is real at all? No?
- 9:32Speaker 4: You don't believe it all.
- 9:33Speaker 2: So you believe whoever took her took her for the
- 9:34Speaker 2: sole purpose of killing her.
- 9:36Speaker 4: Or didn't take her, or didn't take her right took
- 9:39Speaker 4: what was the body? Obviously, Oh, I see what you're saying.
- 9:41Speaker 5: Didn't I personally at this point, based on everything, and
- 9:45Speaker 5: I've got no expertise obviously, right, I just read a lot,
- 9:47Speaker 5: listen a lot.
- 9:49Speaker 4: I don't. I don't think the ransom stuff's real. Wow.
- 9:53Speaker 2: I think, what's your theory that they broke it into
- 9:56Speaker 2: robber and then maybe she recognized them or.
- 9:57Speaker 4: Something happened and then she got killed during a struggle,
- 10:00Speaker 4: and then they wanted to get rid of the body.
- 10:02Speaker 5: Right, could have been a heart attack, shely' an older woman,
- 10:04Speaker 5: could than anything. I don't know that part, obviously, but
- 10:07Speaker 5: I don't bud. From the beginning, I don't believe the
- 10:09Speaker 5: ransom is real, and I pretty quickly didn't think it
- 10:12Speaker 5: was that legit and there it just didn't make sense
- 10:15Speaker 5: to me. And when I when I started hearing these
- 10:16Speaker 5: guys saying, you know, kidnappings a turn and burn thing,
- 10:19Speaker 5: twenty four to forty eight hours.
- 10:21Speaker 4: You're in and out.
- 10:21Speaker 5: You want your money, even if it's not as much
- 10:23Speaker 5: as you were asking for it. If they want something,
- 10:25Speaker 5: they they would send proof of life, they would do something,
- 10:28Speaker 5: They would do anything other than what they're doing, and
- 10:30Speaker 5: they're not well.
- 10:31Speaker 2: I think that maybe the Feds getting the getting the
- 10:35Speaker 2: video spook the hell out of them, but they did
- 10:37Speaker 2: provide a do date. I mean they did have a date,
- 10:40Speaker 2: which even that first Friday, right which they made, you know,
- 10:43Speaker 2: they didn't make because they could get no proof of life.
- 10:46Speaker 2: The next one was Monday, and then again there was
- 10:49Speaker 2: no proof of life.
- 10:50Speaker 4: And we haven't heard about these these letters since.
- 10:53Speaker 2: But how do you communicate proof of life without kind
- 10:55Speaker 2: of giving yourself away?
- 10:56Speaker 4: How could you do that? Okay, different and I wasn't
- 11:00Speaker 4: going to answer, but no, my question is if so,
- 11:04Speaker 4: if it is let's say, a home burglary, a home invasion,
- 11:09Speaker 4: h you know, gone wrong, she dies, they take the
- 11:12Speaker 4: body just because they panic, there's no need for them
- 11:16Speaker 4: to contact with any fake ransom. Anything they do only
- 11:20Speaker 4: puts out more information. I don't believe it was them,
- 11:22Speaker 4: So that's what I'm saying. Yeah, so any contact, there
- 11:26Speaker 4: is no ransom. There is no ransom letter from the
- 11:29Speaker 4: true kidnapper, because all they did was remove a body.
- 11:33Speaker 4: And again that is just the theory we're tossing her.
- 11:36Speaker 4: Of course, that's where I'm at.
- 11:37Speaker 5: That's because there was almost a full twenty four hours
- 11:40Speaker 5: between Savannah gut Through's mom's missing and the first contact
- 11:44Speaker 5: asking for something. I believe somebody acted real fast and said,
- 11:46Speaker 5: you know, what I'm going to make money off this.
- 11:48Speaker 2: Okay, So why go in then? I mean, there is
- 11:50Speaker 2: no sign of robbery. There isn't The Feds haven't told
- 11:53Speaker 2: us anything has been taken.
- 11:54Speaker 4: Why go in?
- 11:55Speaker 2: So the first one, the one of the first theories
- 11:57Speaker 2: I heard that make sins was this was a wrong address,
- 12:00Speaker 2: like the you know, they got bad information, they went
- 12:02Speaker 2: into the wrong house, and that can only commer But
- 12:05Speaker 2: the problem is, why take an eighty four year old
- 12:08Speaker 2: woman if you're already masked up, there's no way that
- 12:11Speaker 2: she can id you unless you use your voice and
- 12:13Speaker 2: she recognized it. What if you gave her a verbal
- 12:17Speaker 2: command and she said oh and yelled out a name,
- 12:20Speaker 2: Well that's it.
- 12:21Speaker 3: You're done then? Yeah, yeah, and you're done good.
- 12:23Speaker 4: I mean, by the way, if anyone's in this situation,
- 12:25Speaker 4: play dumb yeaheah, yeah, play dumb right, don't say I
- 12:29Speaker 4: know who you are?
- 12:29Speaker 7: Right right?
- 12:31Speaker 8: Hey?
- 12:31Speaker 2: Is that you Thomas?
- 12:32Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 12:32Speaker 2: All right? Four o seven nine one texts seven seven
- 12:35Speaker 2: zero three one. Pay, by the way, that is your
- 12:38Speaker 2: three o'clock you were that's pay and go to real
- 12:40Speaker 2: radio dot FM and send that away for your chance
- 12:42Speaker 2: at one thousand dollars got a bunch of stuff to
- 12:44Speaker 2: talk about today. Jack, what do you have for news?
- 12:46Speaker 4: Oh man, where's your tax money going? Maybe all the
- 12:50Speaker 4: way to Judea and Samaria. Okay, I'll explain after the break.
- 12:54Speaker 2: You got it back in the sec with Jack's News
- 12:55Speaker 2: and more than Jim Colbert.
- 12:56Speaker 7: Shoe have your weekend cover to Comedy cor Crete. Mike Man,
- 13:04Speaker 7: I just had a dirt devil tornado pop up on
- 13:08Speaker 7: Turnpike in Lake County. Everybody comes swimming under her brake,
- 13:11Speaker 7: so it was wicked. But gentlemen, those of you have
- 13:16Speaker 7: significant others, excuse me, don't forget to go buy a
- 13:20Speaker 7: card and flowers tonight.
- 13:21Speaker 2: Don't wait till tomorrow morning to do that.
- 13:24Speaker 7: They wake up and you're gone to the store buying
- 13:26Speaker 7: the stuff day of.
- 13:27Speaker 2: They don't like that stuff.
- 13:29Speaker 7: Think ahead, man, Thanks.
- 13:31Speaker 4: Mike, I appreciate that we had a little mistake of
- 13:34Speaker 4: the keyword.
- 13:34Speaker 2: Guys. Dollar is your three cluck you word d O
- 13:37Speaker 2: l l a R. Sorry for the trouble there. Uh,
- 13:40Speaker 2: dollar is the three cluck eyword again, that's.
- 13:42Speaker 4: D O L l a R.
- 13:43Speaker 2: Got a real radio dot FM and send that away
- 13:45Speaker 2: for your chance in a thousand bucks welcome back. I'm Jim.
- 13:48Speaker 2: There's Brian. Hello, sir, check us here as well, and
- 13:50Speaker 2: he has the news. Let's get it.
- 13:53Speaker 1: It's time for JCS news.
- 13:56Speaker 2: Wow.
- 13:57Speaker 4: This this guy got to put his name on everything.
- 13:58Speaker 2: It's in my contractedre's the news on the Jim Colber.
- 14:02Speaker 4: Show, Up, Up and away. NASA's Commercial Crew program sent
- 14:07Speaker 4: four new fresh astronauts and the International Space Station early
- 14:12Speaker 4: this morning. They got some Freshe's out there on ISS.
- 14:16Speaker 4: Well actually soon, because they were on board of SpaceX
- 14:19Speaker 4: Falcon nine rocket left from Cape Canaveral this morning five
- 14:22Speaker 4: point fifteen a m. Now, it's gonna take a day
- 14:26Speaker 4: and a half to get there, okay. They got to
- 14:28Speaker 4: kind of have to float around to lay sink up
- 14:30Speaker 4: for you, and then it's about thirty four hours until
- 14:33Speaker 4: they actually get on the ISS, and they'll remain in
- 14:39Speaker 4: orbit for roughly six months.
- 14:42Speaker 2: Damn really, Oh that's so nuts, man, August think as
- 14:47Speaker 2: you're taking off, You're like, man, I'm gonna be in
- 14:49Speaker 2: this pill for six months. Yep.
- 14:51Speaker 4: They'll be conducting experiments of support planned lunar and Mars missions.
- 14:55Speaker 4: So this morning around you know five point fifteen, if
- 14:58Speaker 4: you heard a distant rumble. It wasn't your partner's guest
- 15:01Speaker 4: stritis this time. Yeah, okay, baby, moving on. You get
- 15:07Speaker 4: some money, and you get some money. Even you get
- 15:10Speaker 4: some money because Florida's chief financial officer with the cool
- 15:14Speaker 4: name Blaze Andnglia, he visited Vlusha and Flagler Counties this
- 15:19Speaker 4: week to deliver reimbursement checks for local law enforcement participation
- 15:24Speaker 4: in the immigration enforcement program. So the Volusia Sheriff's office
- 15:29Speaker 4: received about three hundred and thirty four k to buy
- 15:32Speaker 4: rapid fingerprint devices and Flagler got more than seven hundred
- 15:36Speaker 4: and twenty five thousand and Golia also called for the
- 15:39Speaker 4: seats Halo law to be expanded to protect federal officers
- 15:44Speaker 4: and said anyone who rats his law enforcement will go
- 15:46Speaker 4: to jail. You know. The halo law is a law
- 15:48Speaker 4: that there's a buffer zone around police activity. They don't
- 15:51Speaker 4: want you interfering with that. So he wants that extended
- 15:55Speaker 4: and to also include federal law.
- 15:56Speaker 2: How far is it now, like twet twenty five feet
- 15:58Speaker 2: or something or is it more than that?
- 16:00Speaker 4: I think it's about that, yeah, something like that. Okay.
- 16:03Speaker 4: The speaking of spending taxpayer moneys, the Florida House has
- 16:08Speaker 4: released a one hundred and thirteen point six billion dollar
- 16:11Speaker 4: state budget and it went late last night, and it
- 16:15Speaker 4: leaves out several major priorities of Governor Ron DeSantis. Really, yeah,
- 16:19Speaker 4: so this could lead to some words back and forth.
- 16:22Speaker 4: The proposed cuts in funding for immigration enforcement projects, including
- 16:27Speaker 4: the Everglades detention center known as Alligator Alcatraz, provides no
- 16:31Speaker 4: money for the Florida State Guard. It also orders nearly
- 16:35Speaker 4: seventy seven million in unused opioid settlement funds to be
- 16:38Speaker 4: returned after controversy of how some of that money was spent,
- 16:43Speaker 4: including anti marijuana ads.
- 16:45Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah last election. Yeah, I heard that when
- 16:48Speaker 2: they when they submitted basically the invoys or receipt to
- 16:52Speaker 2: get reimbursed for Alligator Alley down there, our Alligator Alcatraz,
- 16:57Speaker 2: that the Trump administration said they weren't paying for it. Yeah,
- 17:00Speaker 2: four hundred and five hundred million dollars, that they were
- 17:02Speaker 2: holding the money up for some reason. And I think
- 17:04Speaker 2: that's one of the only reasons they decided to build it,
- 17:06Speaker 2: is because the ved said that we'll build it for you,
- 17:09Speaker 2: We'll give you the money.
- 17:10Speaker 9: Right.
- 17:10Speaker 4: Overall, the House proposal is about four billion smaller than
- 17:13Speaker 4: the governor's plan, and lawmakers in the House and Senate
- 17:16Speaker 4: still have to agree on a final budget. Well, locally,
- 17:20Speaker 4: leaders are tapping into tourist tax when they approved a
- 17:23Speaker 4: major renovation to Orlando's Camping World Stadium.
- 17:27Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 17:28Speaker 4: Yeah, it's a big one, four hundred million dollars upgrade.
- 17:32Speaker 4: This baby funded by tourism tax revenues. It'll add seats, restrooms, concessions,
- 17:37Speaker 4: more modern exterior, renovated suites, and campus upgrades. Work begins
- 17:43Speaker 4: this summer, should finish by August twenty twenty seven.
- 17:47Speaker 2: Direly needed, by the way. Yeah, I mean, if we're
- 17:49Speaker 2: gonna be a major city and we're gonna host stuff
- 17:50Speaker 2: like that, I mean, if the Jags are would come
- 17:52Speaker 2: down and do that, I think that's a really good
- 17:54Speaker 2: precursor for us to make a pitch. I mean, I
- 17:55Speaker 2: don't think that'll happen, but I mean, have you seen
- 17:58Speaker 2: the rendering. No, it's pretty bad.
- 18:00Speaker 4: It makes nice I think they should have gone canopy
- 18:02Speaker 4: the way.
- 18:02Speaker 5: I think the way they did at hard Rock Stadium
- 18:04Speaker 5: down in South Florida.
- 18:05Speaker 4: Oh, it's cool.
- 18:06Speaker 2: They put that They put that wire looking on the
- 18:07Speaker 2: outside of it to make.
- 18:08Speaker 4: It look like a mess.
- 18:09Speaker 5: I know, but like I used to, I'm a Hurricanes fan,
- 18:11Speaker 5: so we used to go down to SUNLIGHTE when it
- 18:12Speaker 5: was Sunlighte all the time, and you just cook in there.
- 18:15Speaker 5: But if you have the canopy, there are spots in there,
- 18:18Speaker 5: and especially the homes field side where you're undercover. Oh
- 18:22Speaker 5: even when it rains now that the field's not. But
- 18:23Speaker 5: you're right, right right, they should have for that kind
- 18:25Speaker 5: of money. For four hundred million, you gotta give me
- 18:27Speaker 5: a canopy, man.
- 18:28Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah, if you're it on the right side of
- 18:29Speaker 2: the city, if you're going to you know, uh, the world.
- 18:32Speaker 2: It's the I can never remember the name of the
- 18:33Speaker 2: stadium for Orlando City.
- 18:34Speaker 4: When they put Exploria Exploria State Enter and Coast and
- 18:38Speaker 4: you get there that other side, the church street side, Yeah,
- 18:42Speaker 4: that gets a little roasty over there too.
- 18:43Speaker 5: I'm like, man, for four hundred million, I can't get
- 18:45Speaker 5: some sort of makeshift roofed gets umbrella something tark They
- 18:49Speaker 5: have a covering over it.
- 18:50Speaker 4: Unfortunately, the sun don't pay no mind to that. Doesn't
- 18:53Speaker 4: not so fast, mister Jerry. Authorities captured a man wanted
- 18:59Speaker 4: who's ripped out of handcuffs and fled from Orlando Health
- 19:02Speaker 4: Melbourne Hospital. The suspect had been underguard for medical treatment,
- 19:07Speaker 4: but escaped the previous day. Police in Palm Bay found
- 19:10Speaker 4: him twenty four hours later. Officers returned him to custody
- 19:13Speaker 4: without incident. Bervard County Sheriff's Office said an internal review
- 19:17Speaker 4: would examine how he was able to escape. Twenty four
- 19:20Speaker 4: year old Eric Jerry is now back in handcuffs, most
- 19:24Speaker 4: probably a little tighter on his wrist than they were
- 19:26Speaker 4: the first time he slipped down.
- 19:29Speaker 2: Yeah. Yah, that's terrified. That shouldn't be a thing. Yeah,
- 19:32Speaker 2: that is terrifying.
- 19:32Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, yeah, So let's see. Oh, let's keep it
- 19:37Speaker 4: local if we can, right, all right, And Jim, you
- 19:41Speaker 4: like laser pointers? They can be fun, right, Yeah, they
- 19:43Speaker 4: can't be if you have a cat, I hear the greatest.
- 19:45Speaker 4: So I have three. I have one cat who loves it,
- 19:48Speaker 4: one cat who will occasionally play, and one cat completely.
- 19:52Speaker 2: Not interested in understands the bit knows the trick. You
- 19:56Speaker 2: know who doesn't like laser pointers? Anybody flying a helicopter
- 19:59Speaker 2: or airplane pilots, Yeah, you got it fans.
- 20:02Speaker 4: Orange County deputies arrested Jonathan Colado after he shined a
- 20:07Speaker 4: green laser pointer at the flight crew of a sheriff's helicopter.
- 20:11Speaker 2: That's dumb. Investigators trace the beam man?
- 20:14Speaker 4: Is that dumb because they can do that? Yeah, right
- 20:18Speaker 4: to his driveway where they found this idiot with the
- 20:21Speaker 4: laser and a supply of batteries to do it longer
- 20:25Speaker 4: op gas. What's worse than that cocaine? Keep going that there? Yeah,
- 20:32Speaker 4: we get there eventually.
- 20:34Speaker 2: Was he just signaling them to come get him? Maybe
- 20:36Speaker 2: there's a I'm down here with fittana. I'll just do
- 20:38Speaker 2: this in morse code real quick.
- 20:40Speaker 4: I'm gonna give you a nice laser pointer right to
- 20:42Speaker 4: where I had this dash of drugs.
- 20:44Speaker 2: Dumb.
- 20:45Speaker 4: This MENSA member was charged with misuse of a laser
- 20:48Speaker 4: device a fallady in Florida, and with possession of drugs.
- 20:52Speaker 4: As most of us know, laser strikes contemporarily blind pilots
- 20:55Speaker 4: and endanger everyone board in airca Lord of Merciel stupid.
- 20:58Speaker 4: Oh man.
- 21:00Speaker 2: I love dumb people, Yeah, and I do. I think
- 21:02Speaker 2: they're the greatest. I love the dump that. You know.
- 21:04Speaker 2: The life would not even be remotely as spicy without
- 21:07Speaker 2: good dumb people.
- 21:08Speaker 4: Yeah, but that's where we get the Florida stuff from.
- 21:10Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 21:10Speaker 4: Sure, yeah, you might not be going the wrong way.
- 21:14Speaker 4: After all. After more than seventy years as a one
- 21:18Speaker 4: way street, Magnolia AB downtown Orlando is being converted back
- 21:22Speaker 4: to a two way road.
- 21:23Speaker 2: That's wild.
- 21:24Speaker 4: Construction began this week will take about six months.
- 21:28Speaker 2: For people to figure out which way they're going.
- 21:30Speaker 4: Once completed, the city will shift its focus to converting
- 21:33Speaker 4: nearby Orange and Rosalind avenues as well.
- 21:36Speaker 2: Right, right, And here's what they need to do. They
- 21:38Speaker 2: need to put up a cam so that you can
- 21:40Speaker 2: log onto it for ten dollars a month and just
- 21:42Speaker 2: watch the absolute bananas traffic issues they're gonna happen about
- 21:46Speaker 2: the first month after this is done.
- 21:47Speaker 4: It would pay for the construction. I'm sure, God almighty dude,
- 21:50Speaker 4: it's gonna be insanity. People who've lived here their entire
- 21:53Speaker 4: lives have only driven those roads one way. Yeah, and
- 21:56Speaker 4: now they're gonna be like we're flipping a switch. Yeah today,
- 21:58Speaker 4: give a why. City officials say the change will reactivate
- 22:02Speaker 4: the corridor at on street, parking and wider sidewalks, and
- 22:05Speaker 4: improve traffic flow. Business owners and arts organizations welcome the plan,
- 22:10Speaker 4: noting it will make the street friendlier to pedestrians, and Patriots.
- 22:14Speaker 2: And is that the road that runs right beside I
- 22:16Speaker 2: four in downtown, right beside that new canopy thing they're
- 22:19Speaker 2: building under I four over.
- 22:24Speaker 4: The other side.
- 22:25Speaker 5: Yeah, but it runs opposite Orange. It comes this way,
- 22:28Speaker 5: Magnolia goes that way.
- 22:29Speaker 2: Yeah, it's on the other side. Gotch I know exactly where.
- 22:31Speaker 8: Now.
- 22:32Speaker 4: Yeah, well we've got some good We're into the good
- 22:35Speaker 4: news portion of the news, which we like because SeaWorld
- 22:38Speaker 4: Orlando we talked about, you know, the rescue we were
- 22:42Speaker 4: talking about just the other day. Now we're talking about
- 22:44Speaker 4: release because they have three rehabilitated manatees uh and they
- 22:50Speaker 4: release them into the spring run at Blue Springs State Park.
- 22:54Speaker 4: Each manatee had been rescued as an orphan weighing under
- 22:57Speaker 4: one hundred pounds, which is very like a manatee it is.
- 23:01Speaker 4: They were cared for in SeaWorld's nursery until they reach
- 23:03Speaker 4: more than six hundred pounds. Crowd members cheered and some
- 23:07Speaker 4: cry to SeaWorld staff fitted the manates with satellite tags
- 23:10Speaker 4: and pushed them into the water. Researchers will track the
- 23:13Speaker 4: animals for a year to ensure they adapt well and
- 23:17Speaker 4: to learn more about their movement.
- 23:18Speaker 2: Man if you're to have a life of one animal,
- 23:20Speaker 2: I mean, yeahmanity wouldn't be the worst thing ever. Just
- 23:24Speaker 2: cruising around the beautiful Florida Springs your entire life, not
- 23:27Speaker 2: really having a predator that that kind of looks at
- 23:30Speaker 2: you as food.
- 23:31Speaker 4: Right, you're fat, and everyone's cool with fat.
- 23:33Speaker 2: Everybody's cool with it. Matter of fact, the fatter you are,
- 23:35Speaker 2: the cooler they are with you. Yeah, oh my god,
- 23:37Speaker 2: so docile. You know the one that was caught in
- 23:39Speaker 2: that storm drain.
- 23:39Speaker 4: Did you hear how much that damn thing weighed? No,
- 23:42Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 23:42Speaker 2: They got one hundred pounds, right, four hundred, four hundred pounds,
- 23:45Speaker 2: the one that got trapped in the storm drain.
- 23:46Speaker 5: Now, I was watching that on as they were reporting.
- 23:49Speaker 5: It was crazy. I couldn't go to bed. I'm like,
- 23:50Speaker 5: I don't, I don't want to go to bed yet.
- 23:51Speaker 5: I want to see this happen.
- 23:52Speaker 2: And if you've ever been next to it. We were
- 23:54Speaker 2: at SeaWorld and SeaWorld has now a display of manatees,
- 23:58Speaker 2: and my wife and I went we're kind of walked around.
- 24:00Speaker 2: They were looking. I'm like, oh, that's cool manates. You know,
- 24:02Speaker 2: I've never really seen many of them up close other
- 24:04Speaker 2: than blue springs, but even then you're up on the
- 24:07Speaker 2: shore looking down into the water, and that refracting thing
- 24:09Speaker 2: can make them look different. Man. We were up there
- 24:12Speaker 2: looking and then one came rolling out.
- 24:13Speaker 4: Of the side and we were like, God, damn, they're giant, dude,
- 24:17Speaker 4: you can't even it looked.
- 24:19Speaker 2: Like a submarine with a fin. Dude, it was gigantic.
- 24:22Speaker 5: We were pulled up on a sandbar over on the
- 24:24Speaker 5: west coast on our boat and one came and just
- 24:27Speaker 5: rolled by the sandbar and no, you're not about.
- 24:29Speaker 4: To touch them, but everyone my wife was in the.
- 24:32Speaker 5: Boat and we were all sitting on the thigh and
- 24:33Speaker 5: she saw this dark shadow coming at us and she
- 24:36Speaker 5: freaked out because who knows what it is.
- 24:38Speaker 4: And all you can do is stand there and let
- 24:40Speaker 4: it go by. Like it was humongous.
- 24:42Speaker 2: You just can't believe how big they can get.
- 24:45Speaker 4: Good, all right, when you get your homeowner's insurance renewell.
- 24:48Speaker 4: Understand why your legislators in Tallahassee were too busy to
- 24:52Speaker 4: work on that. They have other important things to do.
- 24:55Speaker 4: And then the move that generated national headlines of Florida
- 24:58Speaker 4: House voted ninety two to fourteen to require state agencies
- 25:01Speaker 4: in schools to use the biblical term Judea and Samaria
- 25:05Speaker 4: instead of the West Bank. Oh really, when referring to
- 25:09Speaker 4: the Israeli occupied territory. Sponsors at Debra Tendrich and Chase
- 25:14Speaker 4: Tremont said the change corrects historical erasure and shows solidarity
- 25:18Speaker 4: with Israel. Critics argue that the bill politicizes education and
- 25:23Speaker 4: could confuse students, noting that the area is internationally known
- 25:27Speaker 4: as the West Bank. A companion bill is moving through
- 25:30Speaker 4: the Senate. So is Thailand go back to Siam aha Istan?
- 25:34Speaker 4: Bold not constantinople right, we can go all day long,
- 25:38Speaker 4: these crazy changes, My god onlining hey. Props to Flaggler
- 25:42Speaker 4: County deputies. They safely ended a tense three day mental
- 25:46Speaker 4: health crisis after a fifty five year old man repeatedly
- 25:49Speaker 4: called nine to one one he and pointed what appeared
- 25:52Speaker 4: to be a handgun at officers. Officials later determined the
- 25:55Speaker 4: weapon was a CO two powered air pistol. After thirty
- 25:58Speaker 4: minutes of negotiation and de escalation techniques, deputies took the
- 26:03Speaker 4: man into custody without firing any shots. The sheriff credited
- 26:07Speaker 4: specialized training and patients for preventing injury and highlighted the
- 26:12Speaker 4: case as a model for handling mental health emergencies. Thank goodness,
- 26:16Speaker 4: it was Flaggler County deputies and not ice responding.
- 26:19Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah, So, speaking of mental health issues, a new
- 26:24Speaker 2: mental health clinic in Sanford is now offering free counseling
- 26:28Speaker 2: and support services to residents who can't afford care.
- 26:31Speaker 4: This is awesome news. The facility, run by the Mental
- 26:35Speaker 4: Health Association of Central Florida, is designed for people without
- 26:39Speaker 4: insurance or those who are under insured, including children as
- 26:43Speaker 4: young as six. Officials say the goal is simple, remove
- 26:47Speaker 4: the costs as a barrier so more people can get
- 26:49Speaker 4: help before problems turn into crises like the one we
- 26:52Speaker 4: just heard about. The clinic is part of a broader
- 26:55Speaker 4: effort to expand mental health resources in Central Florida, where
- 26:59Speaker 4: access and the affordability have been ongoing challenges. New clinic
- 27:03Speaker 4: is inside the Neighborhood co Op. It's a historic building
- 27:06Speaker 4: on the property of the first United Methodist Church in Sanford,
- 27:09Speaker 4: now home to multiple nonprofits.
- 27:11Speaker 9: There.
- 27:12Speaker 2: You have pretty good news there, right, Yeah, it's very cool.
- 27:14Speaker 4: Let's finish it up with a look at the weather
- 27:16Speaker 4: because our current persistent drought is worsening, with fire conditions
- 27:19Speaker 4: expected to remain high. Temperatures will stay in the upper
- 27:22Speaker 4: seventies through the weekend.
- 27:24Speaker 2: Today it was glorious as good as it gets. It
- 27:28Speaker 2: was great the Monster broadcast this morning.
- 27:30Speaker 4: I was not I did ride my bike. I did
- 27:32Speaker 4: ten miles on the bike. I'm like, I cannot stay
- 27:34Speaker 4: inside with this nice app.
- 27:35Speaker 2: I think this last big blast may have been the
- 27:37Speaker 2: last one, dude. I mean, you know, you look at
- 27:39Speaker 2: the calendar and it's you know, it's it's now a
- 27:41Speaker 2: high seventies going into the eighties next week. I think
- 27:43Speaker 2: I think we may be done with winter. Money on that.
- 27:45Speaker 2: I think I would put a little money on that. Maybe,
- 27:47Speaker 2: But a.
- 27:47Speaker 4: Week call front arriving late Sunday could bring scattered showers
- 27:51Speaker 4: an isolated store.
- 27:53Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah, it's gonna rain somethening in Monday. But I
- 27:54Speaker 2: mean it's still not going to get super cold. You know,
- 27:57Speaker 2: it's still gonna be seventy one degrees compared to what
- 27:59Speaker 2: we had a couple weeks. You know, I'll take that
- 28:00Speaker 2: all day.
- 28:00Speaker 4: Yeah. It killed everyone's plants in my neighborhood.
- 28:02Speaker 2: Oh my got it murdered my yard.
- 28:04Speaker 5: Now we're just kind of waiting until it stops so
- 28:06Speaker 5: I can replace everything.
- 28:07Speaker 4: Just murdered. Prepared for some wind gus on Sunday night
- 28:11Speaker 4: twenty five miles per hour, increasing the fire hazard. After
- 28:15Speaker 4: the front passes, eyes will drop into the sixties and
- 28:19Speaker 4: low seventies, offering a brief cool spell. There you and
- 28:22Speaker 4: that is your news.
- 28:23Speaker 2: Hey you Jack four oh seven nine text us at

- 29:09Speaker 2: I was cooking on my egg for the Super Bowl party. Man,
- 29:12Speaker 2: there is nothing in the world like cooking outside on
- 29:14Speaker 2: the best stuff out there, Big Green Egg, Treger Weber, Napoleon.
- 29:17Speaker 2: You know, Napoleon grills are like professional grills, same heat
- 29:21Speaker 2: across the entire surface. And that's just where it starts. There,
- 29:24Speaker 2: all the cooking woods, smoking woods, marinades, rubs, and all
- 29:28Speaker 2: other great stuff, including outdoor furniture to make that back
- 29:31Speaker 2: patio for spring the absolute best it's ever been. Again,
- 29:35Speaker 2: that's tools. Ace Hardware fourteen locations here into fral floridafying
- 29:38Speaker 2: yours at acehardware dot com. Guys, good in loud for
- 29:41Speaker 2: mister Fiascara, So kind, so kind, It is too kind.
- 29:47Speaker 2: Actually I'm gonna go ahead and say that too kind. How
- 29:49Speaker 2: you doing Fiaza's house?
- 29:51Speaker 4: Things Things are.
- 29:52Speaker 3: Good, man, Yeah, yeah, things are good. Watching the Olympics.
- 29:55Speaker 3: You don't like jack eating?
- 29:58Speaker 2: Let's count how many how many days a week do
- 30:02Speaker 2: you go out and eat for the magazine to do
- 30:04Speaker 2: your job?
- 30:05Speaker 3: Oh? Typically between three and four, three and four.
- 30:09Speaker 4: So how do you stay thin?
- 30:10Speaker 2: Because I've known you for a while now you've never
- 30:12Speaker 2: weighed not even one ounce? Or how do you do it? Though? Dude? Seriously?
- 30:16Speaker 2: Because you you eat a lot of bad food, but
- 30:18Speaker 2: yet you don't gain any weight.
- 30:19Speaker 6: No, but that's the thing, Jim, I don't eat a
- 30:21Speaker 6: lot of bad food. I eat I eat pretty I
- 30:24Speaker 6: eat pretty ucing food. When I go to restaurants, the
- 30:26Speaker 6: food is pretty good. It's it's not crap, I know.
- 30:29Speaker 2: But what I'm saying, it's cooked. You know, a lot
- 30:31Speaker 2: of restaurant food has a lot of butter in it
- 30:32Speaker 2: to make it taste good. It's also has salt in
- 30:34Speaker 2: it to make it taste good. Actually, I read a
- 30:37Speaker 2: story it's that one of the reasons eating it restaurants
- 30:39Speaker 2: is not necessarily great for you is because of those
- 30:41Speaker 2: two things they cook with a little extra fat and
- 30:43Speaker 2: a little extra salt. You just learned this, No, I know.
- 30:45Speaker 2: But what I'm saying is, like, I don't think even
- 30:47Speaker 2: when you go to what you think are healthy restaurants,
- 30:49Speaker 2: Like most people think vegan restaurants are healthy. They're not
- 30:52Speaker 2: because they cook in a lot of oil. They're just
- 30:54Speaker 2: cooking vegetables. But it's loaded and butter and oil.
- 30:57Speaker 4: Yeah, gotta get flavored in there somehow.
- 30:59Speaker 2: What's that.
- 31:00Speaker 6: Yeah, there's a lot of batter and like, yeah, a
- 31:02Speaker 6: lot of people think vegan food is like healthy now.
- 31:04Speaker 6: It is in the sense that they doesn't have all
- 31:06Speaker 6: the just obviously doesn't have any meat, but and this
- 31:09Speaker 6: vegetable focus. But you know, if you know you asked
- 31:12Speaker 6: me this question numerous times on the show, how do
- 31:14Speaker 6: I stay that?
- 31:15Speaker 3: I honestly, I have no idea.
- 31:17Speaker 6: One day, I'm going to hit a wall and everything
- 31:19Speaker 6: I eat is gonna stay on me and I'll be
- 31:21Speaker 6: like three hundred pounds.
- 31:22Speaker 3: But you know, I'm going to play tennis right after
- 31:24Speaker 3: the show.
- 31:24Speaker 2: From your mouth that God's oh my god, I hope
- 31:27Speaker 2: one day and you just as soon as you tune in,
- 31:29Speaker 2: you just look your three hundred pounds. I could only
- 31:32Speaker 2: wish that would happen just for one weekend.
- 31:34Speaker 4: You want to wish some heart disease on, I just
- 31:38Speaker 4: want to.
- 31:38Speaker 2: Be fat for two days. That's it.
- 31:39Speaker 6: I actually I went and got my annual done last week,
- 31:42Speaker 6: and I was again fully expecting the absolute worst. You know,
- 31:46Speaker 6: he actually gave me this this other hard test. I
- 31:49Speaker 6: don't know what pinpoints the lipids that cost heart events
- 31:51Speaker 6: and this, so anyway, I'm expecting the worst, I said,
- 31:54Speaker 6: because I told I told the doctor. I said, listen,
- 31:56Speaker 6: this whole year has been nothing but eating lipids, you know.
- 31:59Speaker 3: So he did the test.
- 32:01Speaker 6: I got the results back and he said, hey, everything
- 32:04Speaker 6: looks great, and I'm like, what that's.
- 32:09Speaker 4: You know, how bad you are? How what's your Cussing's good?
- 32:17Speaker 2: That's crazy.
- 32:18Speaker 3: I have a low risk, hard event chance and so
- 32:21Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 32:21Speaker 4: That's great.
- 32:22Speaker 2: Well, good, Well, let's get to it. Man has calls
- 32:24Speaker 2: us every week to talk about things that are good
- 32:26Speaker 2: to eat and drink in Orlando, and of course Valentine's
- 32:28Speaker 2: Day is upon us and that is our first subject today.
- 32:31Speaker 6: Yeah, you know, like one of your one of your
- 32:33Speaker 6: listeners messaged me on Instagram asking about the restaurant we
- 32:37Speaker 6: talked about last week, which was Osteria Esther, the excellent
- 32:41Speaker 6: Italian Italian American restaurant there in Thornton Bark and he
- 32:45Speaker 6: wanted he was thinking of getting reservations there, and I'm like, good,
- 32:49Speaker 6: good luck there, because that is a tough table to
- 32:51Speaker 6: get even on any day other than than Mallentine's Day.
- 32:56Speaker 6: So you know, I got to think, you know, what,
- 32:59Speaker 6: what you know, if people haven't made reservations yet for
- 33:02Speaker 6: for Valentine's name and want to go out.
- 33:04Speaker 3: What are some of the what are some of.
- 33:05Speaker 6: The tips they could try to get a to get
- 33:07Speaker 6: a table, score a seat, And the number one thing
- 33:11Speaker 6: that you can try is to you know, beg grovel
- 33:14Speaker 6: and weep. Right, Yeah that doesn't work. If that doesn't work,
- 33:18Speaker 6: you know, call the restaurant. A lot of you know,
- 33:20Speaker 6: a lot of reservations nowadays are made online, Like a
- 33:23Speaker 6: lot of restaurants still have phone numbers if you call them.
- 33:26Speaker 6: A lot of restaurants had times, you know, set aside
- 33:29Speaker 6: seats for walk ins, and that said, even you know,
- 33:31Speaker 6: there's always no shows, and those no shows aren't always
- 33:35Speaker 6: reflected on sites like open table and rezie. So it's
- 33:38Speaker 6: always a good idea to call the restaurant and speak
- 33:40Speaker 6: to someone and just see if there's a chance opening,
- 33:45Speaker 6: or if they if they've set some tables aside.
- 33:47Speaker 2: And let me toss another one in there for you.
- 33:48Speaker 2: A lot of people don't know this, you know, if
- 33:50Speaker 2: you go to almost any restaurant, there's only one or
- 33:52Speaker 2: two I know that don't really apply this theory. But
- 33:56Speaker 2: almost every restaurant I've been into, even the ones with
- 33:58Speaker 2: really good reputation, the bar seating is first come, first serve,
- 34:02Speaker 2: and that is one of the biggest things that people
- 34:05Speaker 2: pass up on. That's everywhere from breakfast joints to places
- 34:09Speaker 2: like you know, to really nice places. When you walk in,
- 34:11Speaker 2: if there are no seats, look at the bar. If
- 34:13Speaker 2: the bar has openings, that's first, first come, first serve.
- 34:16Speaker 2: You don't even have to ask the server or the hostess.
- 34:18Speaker 2: You can just walk over and sit down.
- 34:20Speaker 6: That was my That was my next my next point,
- 34:23Speaker 6: get a seat at the at the bar. You don't
- 34:25Speaker 6: have to make reservations, walk up. And a lot of
- 34:27Speaker 6: times at restaurants like like Luke's and Maitland for example,
- 34:31Speaker 6: or y eight Seafood Clubhouse down on Tricky Lake Road
- 34:35Speaker 6: or even Bombay Street Kitchen, those bar areas are actually romantic.
- 34:39Speaker 6: I mean people think, I don't want to say, at
- 34:41Speaker 6: the bar, that's not gonna be romantic. We can have
- 34:42Speaker 6: a you know, an intimate night out, but you can't.
- 34:45Speaker 6: You know, a lot of restaurants nowadays build bar specifically
- 34:49Speaker 6: for solo diners or you know, or or and they
- 34:52Speaker 6: make it look nice, they make it look very inviting
- 34:54Speaker 6: and fetching. Sometimes the bar areas are more fetching than
- 34:57Speaker 6: the the the main dining.
- 34:58Speaker 2: And a lot of them don't have televis visions playing
- 35:00Speaker 2: like cornhole championships. I mean, you can just go up
- 35:02Speaker 2: there and sit down and have a nice meal and
- 35:05Speaker 2: then it's just the the company you have around you
- 35:07Speaker 2: and the servers are great. So I agree with that
- 35:09Speaker 2: one hundred percent. Do you have Do you have plans
- 35:12Speaker 2: around a couple of mores? Okay, go ahead, I actually don't.
- 35:14Speaker 6: We My wife hates Valentine's They does not want to
- 35:17Speaker 6: go out, so we we never do well.
- 35:19Speaker 4: I met the following week.
- 35:21Speaker 6: But the other thing I wanted to say is, you know,
- 35:24Speaker 6: try to get a reservation at an off time, either
- 35:27Speaker 6: like early, like at five o'clock or when the restaurant
- 35:29Speaker 6: opens or late. I personally like to like to get
- 35:32Speaker 6: that early reservation because then you're out of there by
- 35:34Speaker 6: seven thirty or eight, and then you can keep the
- 35:36Speaker 6: party going, go to another bar or something, or you know,
- 35:39Speaker 6: go home and get romantic. But the last thing is
- 35:43Speaker 6: that this year, you know, Valentine's Day is on a Saturday,
- 35:47Speaker 6: so really this whole weekend is about Valentine's Day, So
- 35:49Speaker 6: you don't get a If you don't get a seat
- 35:51Speaker 6: on Saturday, try on the fifteenth, more than likely you'll
- 35:54Speaker 6: be able to snag a seat at you know, one
- 35:55Speaker 6: of the hotter restaurants in town.
- 35:57Speaker 2: Cool all of those great points. By the way, the
- 35:59Speaker 2: Texan Services checking in pretty much dead on. That's what
- 36:02Speaker 2: they're saying as well. Let's move on to JJ's Scratch Cosina.
- 36:06Speaker 2: This is the review this week. That's this week's review,
- 36:09Speaker 2: and it's at twenty nine to fifty Curry Ford Road.
- 36:11Speaker 2: I actually reviewed this restaurant back in twenty fourteen when
- 36:14Speaker 2: it was called JJ's Grill, and it was a fast
- 36:18Speaker 2: casual Chipotle like joint serving Mexican Mediterranean type fair and
- 36:24Speaker 2: it was actually very good.
- 36:26Speaker 6: I quite enjoyed it. But they've since ditched the whole
- 36:28Speaker 6: fast casual concept and they've gone full service. It is
- 36:33Speaker 6: specializing in the cuisine of the Americas, with a little
- 36:37Speaker 6: bit of Mediterranean in there. The owners are from Venezuela,
- 36:40Speaker 6: so so they're very familiar with South American cuisine, some
- 36:44Speaker 6: Latin American cuisine.
- 36:46Speaker 4: Gorgeous inside.
- 36:47Speaker 6: They they've redone the space and if you're watching on
- 36:50Speaker 6: the YouTube channel right now, Jack has the review up
- 36:53Speaker 6: on Orlando Weekly dot com and there's some interior shots
- 36:56Speaker 6: there and they've done a really really nice job. There's
- 36:58Speaker 6: a herb wall back in the back that they used
- 37:01Speaker 6: to garnish a lot of the dishes. It's it's not
- 37:05Speaker 6: only you know, I was. I was actually very very
- 37:08Speaker 6: much wowed by the level of technique and the food
- 37:11Speaker 6: that we're offering here. It was it's anything but fast casual.
- 37:15Speaker 6: It wasn't of that of that sort. So I was
- 37:17Speaker 6: really wowed by it was kind of surprised by how
- 37:20Speaker 6: how high a technique the level was of the food.
- 37:23Speaker 6: And not only that, but the plating itself was was
- 37:26Speaker 6: just gorgeous. It's about really it was gorgeous plating. And
- 37:30Speaker 6: I don't know if Jack can pull up some of
- 37:32Speaker 6: the some of the photos on Instagram, Okay, they're they're
- 37:34Speaker 6: the rhnel that is that is a halibit sevechi that yeah.
- 37:39Speaker 6: And it's in citrus and passion fruit juices, and it's
- 37:43Speaker 6: got a really nice sort of that you know, that's uh,
- 37:45Speaker 6: that very unique flavor of passion fruit. It's even got
- 37:48Speaker 6: the passion fruit seeds in there. It's got the pulp
- 37:50Speaker 6: of the passion fruit, so you get a nice crunch, nice.
- 37:52Speaker 3: With every bite. The peppers are in there, very very nice.
- 37:55Speaker 2: If you get a real radio dot FM slash watch,
- 37:57Speaker 2: you can actually see this. Jack is scrolling through this
- 37:59Speaker 2: as we talk by the go ahead, Budy.
- 38:00Speaker 4: Sorry, that looks like a pretty robust meal.
- 38:02Speaker 2: Yeah, that is nice. That's a lot.
- 38:04Speaker 3: That is well, I mean it is a lot.
- 38:05Speaker 2: Speech is usually an app though you share that. Yeah,
- 38:09Speaker 2: they offer like a chips or someone a crustini or
- 38:11Speaker 2: something like that with that or what.
- 38:12Speaker 6: In this case, they offered plantain chips. Plant chips not
- 38:15Speaker 6: in a photos, but they offered plantain chips. And I
- 38:17Speaker 6: ate this all myself. It was like a proper.
- 38:21Speaker 2: And let me ask it because I've got a hundred
- 38:24Speaker 2: on this. I do love eating fish. Is halibit a
- 38:27Speaker 2: an oily fish? Or what are we do looking with
- 38:30Speaker 2: that halibit?
- 38:32Speaker 6: I know halibate is a very nice, plump, plump firmer fish. Uh,
- 38:35Speaker 6: it's it's not it's not overtly oily, but it and
- 38:40Speaker 6: and typically you don't really see halibut served in the
- 38:42Speaker 6: cvch you know, you have like things like corvina, yeah,
- 38:45Speaker 6: you know, other white fish, So you don't typically.
- 38:47Speaker 3: See halibit a lot.
- 38:48Speaker 6: I've never I don't think I've ever had a halibut
- 38:50Speaker 6: cdch So this has a nice firmer flesh.
- 38:53Speaker 3: So when you eat this whole thing.
- 38:54Speaker 6: You do feel full because the it is it is
- 38:57Speaker 6: like a you know, a plumper type of you know,
- 39:00Speaker 6: fleshier fish.
- 39:01Speaker 2: Let's get a little spice in there too, Right, are
- 39:02Speaker 2: those peppers like all those cutups?
- 39:04Speaker 4: Man?
- 39:04Speaker 2: That looks pretty spicy, buddy.
- 39:06Speaker 4: Right, it was.
- 39:07Speaker 6: It was pretty spicy. I asked for it a little
- 39:09Speaker 6: on the spicier side, which you know, kind of like that.
- 39:11Speaker 6: But yeah, those are like yellow and red peppers.
- 39:13Speaker 2: Yeah, that's pretty bad ass? Is that If that's an
- 39:15Speaker 2: indicator of what the restaurant's doing, it looks pretty good, buddy.
- 39:17Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 39:18Speaker 6: So it's this sort of level and you know when
- 39:19Speaker 6: you when I've had like burrito bowls and casadillas and
- 39:22Speaker 6: stuff like that here before this was like, you know,
- 39:24Speaker 6: this was like mind blowing what you're seeing there. Which
- 39:27Speaker 6: is another dish I highly recommend. It's a skin on
- 39:29Speaker 6: chicken breast that has a seventy two hour marinade. It's
- 39:31Speaker 6: served over a parsnip puree. It's served with aerrowoin carrots
- 39:35Speaker 6: that are like wrapped in the skin of zucchini. Yeah,
- 39:37Speaker 6: there's some zucchini pulp. There's edible flowers, there's mustard greens,
- 39:41Speaker 6: there's beets, there's they sort of like throw this can
- 39:45Speaker 6: the candied walnuts over.
- 39:46Speaker 4: The whole thing.
- 39:47Speaker 3: So you get a whole slew of flavors.
- 39:49Speaker 6: And something as simple as like as chicken, which you
- 39:51Speaker 6: know people rarely order at restaurant, right, you know, especially, Yeah,
- 39:58Speaker 6: and so this is very much worth order because it's
- 40:00Speaker 6: just beautiful and it's served on this really nice a
- 40:02Speaker 6: Casia wood board.
- 40:04Speaker 2: Very cool man. Well, so you give them a thumbs up. Huh,
- 40:06Speaker 2: pretty good stuff. But there's some balve, they.
- 40:07Speaker 4: Have balles, big thumbs up.
- 40:09Speaker 6: Those are a rapist. So, like I said, the owners
- 40:11Speaker 6: are Venezuelan, these are a rapists. And they're cooked in
- 40:13Speaker 6: like a higher fat European butter.
- 40:15Speaker 4: Yeah, so they're a lot.
- 40:17Speaker 6: They're very still when you bite in them. There's stuff
- 40:20Speaker 6: with like a Venezuelan white cheese and three different pooled meats.
- 40:23Speaker 3: You got to pulled.
- 40:24Speaker 6: I think you have pulled brisket, you have pulled pork,
- 40:26Speaker 6: and you have pulled chicken. And it served what they
- 40:28Speaker 6: smoked honey chipotle sauce This is like the what you're
- 40:32Speaker 6: seeing now is a beat infused hummus with chickpeas and pomegranates.
- 40:37Speaker 6: There's a tabouli of very bright, vibrant to buy falafel, you.
- 40:40Speaker 4: Know, of bread.
- 40:42Speaker 2: So you got big thumbs up for this spot.
- 40:44Speaker 3: Big thumbs up for the spot.
- 40:45Speaker 6: Check them out, and you know what, this might be
- 40:47Speaker 6: a sort of like a secret kind of hidden Valentine's
- 40:51Speaker 6: Day spot. You saw some of the photos of the
- 40:52Speaker 6: interior if you're looking for a place to go, and
- 40:55Speaker 6: I think they have a prefixed menu this this weekend.
- 40:57Speaker 6: Check JJ's Scratch Posina.
- 41:00Speaker 2: That looks good, dude, everything you're showing looks unbelievable. It's amazing.
- 41:04Speaker 3: The presentation is beautiful.
- 41:05Speaker 6: Yeah yeah, And that is a sweet plantain cake with
- 41:07Speaker 6: the cremongliz. That flour there that looks like a rose
- 41:11Speaker 6: petal or a rose flour. It's made from the peels
- 41:14Speaker 6: of candied apples, of sort of caramelized apples.
- 41:17Speaker 3: And again they throw a lot of like candy nuts
- 41:19Speaker 3: all over there.
- 41:20Speaker 2: That's so crazy. Yeah, that place looks amazing. They have
- 41:22Speaker 2: to step out there. Man.
- 41:23Speaker 6: That's bananas and the pricing, the pricings are right. I
- 41:26Speaker 6: have to mention the pricing. You think this stuff is
- 41:28Speaker 6: like so fancy?
- 41:29Speaker 4: Exactly what I was saying, isn't.
- 41:31Speaker 6: It really isn't so unbelievable. I don't think there's a
- 41:33Speaker 6: dish more than twenty five bucks there.
- 41:35Speaker 4: Sweet, they gotta get over there for sure.
- 41:36Speaker 2: I want to ask you before we get to the
- 41:39Speaker 2: final the book tasting thing. I want to ask you.
- 41:41Speaker 2: So my wife and I were talking last night. You
- 41:43Speaker 2: met the shop better than Sex? Yeah, of course, you know.
- 41:47Speaker 2: And for people who do not know what better than
- 41:48Speaker 2: Sex is, it's a it's a chain, actually, and it's
- 41:51Speaker 2: an upscale dessert place that serves high, high level pies
- 41:55Speaker 2: and cakes and stuff. You go in there, you have wine,
- 41:58Speaker 2: it's it's kind of a fancy place to do dessert.
- 42:01Speaker 2: I went to book a Valentine's Day thing the first
- 42:03Speaker 2: week of January, and I laughed as I was typing
- 42:06Speaker 2: in the address because I knew for a fact it
- 42:08Speaker 2: was gonna be sold out, right, And I told my
- 42:10Speaker 2: wife yesterday, not only was it sold out for Valentine's Dai,
- 42:13Speaker 2: I think it sold out for two and a half
- 42:14Speaker 2: to three months after that. Every single night, every seating
- 42:18Speaker 2: it was sold completely out. And my question to you
- 42:21Speaker 2: is this, why isn't why aren't some of these restaurant
- 42:24Speaker 2: groups in Orlando that have seemingly bottomless financing attacking this,
- 42:31Speaker 2: because man, it's the only place in town doing this
- 42:34Speaker 2: upper level, sit down, after hours kind of dessert place.
- 42:38Speaker 2: And it feels like the money is there for the
- 42:40Speaker 2: taking for somebody who would like to tell that. You
- 42:42Speaker 2: can't tell me all of Orlando has one spot that's
- 42:45Speaker 2: that good. With all these other great restaurants, no one's
- 42:48Speaker 2: taken a shot at a fancy dessert spot.
- 42:51Speaker 6: They've sort of quartered the market there. I think they
- 42:53Speaker 6: started in the Keys. I think they may have been
- 42:55Speaker 6: in Key West or something like that, and then they
- 42:57Speaker 6: opened the second spot here in Orlando, and it's desserts.
- 43:00Speaker 3: They're rich, decadent desserts.
- 43:02Speaker 6: The interior is very like in a red velvet and
- 43:05Speaker 6: it's like like.
- 43:06Speaker 2: A vampire's bedroom. Yeah, it's like a vampire's bedrooms.
- 43:09Speaker 3: What it looks like, let's let's part bordello house exactly.
- 43:13Speaker 6: And so they have that they have that, you know,
- 43:15Speaker 6: they have that concept, they have that niche market, they
- 43:17Speaker 6: have that that hook, you know, and it's it's gonna
- 43:20Speaker 6: be hard to replicate that without, you know, seeming like
- 43:23Speaker 6: you're just you know, ripping their idea.
- 43:24Speaker 2: Yeah, but who cares. That's kind of what the restaurant
- 43:26Speaker 2: business in Orlando has been doing for a while. There's
- 43:28Speaker 2: so many of these powerful groups that get easily within
- 43:31Speaker 2: a month, build a place out and start serving like this,
- 43:34Speaker 2: and it feels like it could dominate because this is
- 43:37Speaker 2: a chain. Imagine if one of the local restaurant groups
- 43:39Speaker 2: got this, man, the people would go straight to that
- 43:42Speaker 2: place just because of the ownership.
- 43:44Speaker 3: Yeah, get like a prime primo like pastry chef. Yeah, man,
- 43:47Speaker 3: maybe maybe you and I can.
- 43:49Speaker 4: I'm down talk to Jason and sou let's get going.
- 43:51Speaker 2: What are you doing?
- 43:52Speaker 4: Let's do this.
- 43:53Speaker 2: And then lastly, here the book Tasting at winter Park
- 43:55Speaker 2: Public Library hosted by Fias Horror Yes hosted tell me
- 44:00Speaker 2: about this so on.
- 44:02Speaker 6: So it's part of the Libraries America two fifty celebrations.
- 44:05Speaker 6: It's going to be held on February twenty six at
- 44:08Speaker 6: six thirty pm and they're labeling it as a book tasting.
- 44:12Speaker 3: The idea of.
- 44:13Speaker 6: Being to bring some some notable chefs into the library,
- 44:16Speaker 6: uh talk about their experience vis a visa.
- 44:20Speaker 3: You know America.
- 44:21Speaker 6: You know how they how they came to this country,
- 44:23Speaker 6: what they're you know, just what their what their perspective
- 44:27Speaker 6: is on on the American experience. And so there'll be
- 44:30Speaker 6: some big time chefs coming.
- 44:32Speaker 2: We have.
- 44:33Speaker 6: Let's see, we have Mario Pagan from Triote and Not
- 44:37Speaker 6: Your Part Nice, probably the best winter perving Puerto Rican
- 44:41Speaker 6: restaurant in town. We have Teddy du Moulan from Giador
- 44:44Speaker 6: the French Bakery. We have Tyler Brunache from Smoke Made
- 44:47Speaker 6: Meats and Eats. We have a Sunny When from DomU,
- 44:51Speaker 6: and then we have Joyce Kai from Chuanfu and a
- 44:53Speaker 6: gourmet Chinese cuisine which we talked about on the show
- 44:56Speaker 6: a few weeks ago. So these chefs are coming on,
- 44:58Speaker 6: they'll be talking, they'll be offering some light bites. They'll
- 45:01Speaker 6: be beer from the Rapness Pig and it's twelve bucks.
- 45:05Speaker 2: Wow if you want to it's limited.
- 45:07Speaker 6: It's limited seating, so go to Winter Parklibrary dot org
- 45:10Speaker 6: and snag a seat. But uh yeah, Fabu twenty six.
- 45:13Speaker 2: That sounds fun, dude. Well, good job today. We always

- 46:22Speaker 10: Sh I would say that last song leans towards sale.
- 46:30Speaker 10: I get the sink part, but there's not enough over
- 46:34Speaker 10: driven grindy guitars to qualify it as a sink. It's
- 46:38Speaker 10: way too much synthesizer pops and stuff that's a sales song.
- 46:43Speaker 11: Hey, what's up o'honna yet? You know today we always
- 46:47Speaker 11: talk about it. It's a low hawk Friday. But yeah,
- 46:51Speaker 11: man man and ateees have always been near and deer
- 46:54Speaker 11: of course, living on the coast over here, see them
- 46:56Speaker 11: all the time growing up in Seminole County before I
- 46:59Speaker 11: moved to Springs a lot and yes I can claim
- 47:04Speaker 11: getting kicked out of the park, but I did dive
- 47:06Speaker 11: in swim with them. I was in the water for
- 47:08Speaker 11: about a half an hour and they just politely asked
- 47:11Speaker 11: me to leave.
- 47:11Speaker 2: Yeah, helloha, hello HAA bro almost got thrown out of
- 47:15Speaker 2: Silver Springs for doing the same thing. Because you can
- 47:17Speaker 2: a lot of people don't know. You can take your
- 47:18Speaker 2: boat right up into the area where the glass bottom
- 47:20Speaker 2: goat boats go.
- 47:21Speaker 4: Did you know that?
- 47:22Speaker 2: No, do you ever take your boat up there? Huh?
- 47:23Speaker 2: Pretty bad ass. By the way, you have to go
- 47:25Speaker 2: up the Okaha Waha River through the locks up there,
- 47:27Speaker 2: or you put in a certain place. You can go
- 47:29Speaker 2: right up the Silver River and go right into where
- 47:31Speaker 2: the theme park is. They can't stop you from doing
- 47:33Speaker 2: that because it's it's you know, it's it's Florida's Land.
- 47:36Speaker 2: It's yeah and uh. But the one thing they do
- 47:39Speaker 2: tell you is do not don't. You can't put your boat.
- 47:42Speaker 2: You can't dock in other words, you can't run up
- 47:44Speaker 2: on the shore. Yeah, and you cannot get out of
- 47:46Speaker 2: your boat. Okay, but I gotta tell you. When you're
- 47:47Speaker 2: floating around and there's forty feet of crystal clear spring water, yeah,
- 47:52Speaker 2: there's just no way to avoid that. You have to
- 47:54Speaker 2: jump in. And I did jump in. Let me tell
- 47:57Speaker 2: you how fast they came over to say.
- 47:58Speaker 4: Hi, really instantly.
- 48:00Speaker 2: Wow. By the time I got to the ladder of
- 48:02Speaker 2: the boat to get back in, they were over there, sir.
- 48:06Speaker 4: Did you not see the sign? Now? What sign?
- 48:09Speaker 2: Because you noticed no one else is swimming and go, yeah,
- 48:11Speaker 2: it seems dumb.
- 48:12Speaker 4: That's weird.
- 48:14Speaker 2: It's beautiful.
- 48:15Speaker 4: They're missing a great idea. What's going on?
- 48:18Speaker 2: Is this gorgeous out here? Water's great?
- 48:20Speaker 4: You go, yeah, you can't swim in here, big dog.
- 48:21Speaker 2: I'm like, oh, he goes, and you gotta get the
- 48:23Speaker 2: hell out, I said, Okay, dude, I was done anyway. Yeah,
- 48:27Speaker 2: all right, Welcome back to the Jim Colbert Show, Real
- 48:28Speaker 2: Radio one O four point one. Happy. By the way,
- 48:31Speaker 2: that is your four o'clock keyword. H A P P Y.
- 48:34Speaker 2: Go to Real Radio dot FM and send that away
- 48:35Speaker 2: from your chance at one thousand dollars. Happy is the work, guys,
- 48:38Speaker 2: Good luck, welcome back.
- 48:39Speaker 4: I'm Jim.
- 48:39Speaker 2: There's Brian, Hello, sir, and Jack is here as well. So, Jack,
- 48:46Speaker 2: do you remember us talking about Call She? I remember everything? Yeah,
- 48:50Speaker 2: thank you, Budd. I appreciate that. Uh so, and by
- 48:53Speaker 2: that I mean most things that I don't remember. This
- 48:55Speaker 2: is the poly market. Yeah, are you familiar.
- 48:57Speaker 4: Yes, So we were talking about there's two of them, right, yeah,
- 49:00Speaker 4: Call She's the one that advertises, but the other one
- 49:03Speaker 4: just came into town.
- 49:04Speaker 2: They had a sixty minutes piece on him. I forget,
- 49:06Speaker 2: I forget the name of the other one. Yeah, the
- 49:08Speaker 2: one that they call him, Prediction markets cal She is
- 49:10Speaker 2: the one that I know about. And there is another one, Jack,
- 49:13Speaker 2: You are correct, And maybe it'll have it down here
- 49:15Speaker 2: in the story a little bit later as well. But
- 49:18Speaker 2: have you heard the drama? Now, we kind of knew,
- 49:20Speaker 2: we knew from the onset this thing was gonna be
- 49:22Speaker 2: a problem, right, because it allows you to bet on
- 49:24Speaker 2: damn near.
- 49:24Speaker 4: Anything, anything, and things that people have control over, like
- 49:28Speaker 4: running on the field in the super Bowl, or who's.
- 49:32Speaker 2: Gonna guest host during Bad Bunny Show? Right, Like who's
- 49:36Speaker 2: gonna show up? Right? So what celebrities would you think
- 49:38Speaker 2: would show up at the Bad Bunny Show when he's
- 49:40Speaker 2: doing the halftime show. You know, maybe there's money on.
- 49:42Speaker 2: Lady Gaga is showing up. Maybe there was gonna be
- 49:44Speaker 2: a cameo. Was it Scarlett Johansson in the very beginning.
- 49:46Speaker 4: Of that, I'm not sure, no, no, no, she was in
- 49:49Speaker 4: the Olympics.
- 49:50Speaker 5: Jessica Albo was down on the field dancing yet right right,
- 49:54Speaker 5: at least moving, I'm not sure if that's dancing.
- 49:56Speaker 2: And there was another star there as well.
- 49:58Speaker 4: And Ry Martin was did a little cam.
- 50:00Speaker 2: Right, so they had some cameos there. So the prediction
- 50:02Speaker 2: market allows you to go in and bet on the
- 50:05Speaker 2: odds of something happening that seems kind of you know,
- 50:09Speaker 2: maybe extraordinary. Well, obviously that isn't protected information. I mean,
- 50:13Speaker 2: you know there are people, whether it be people in
- 50:16Speaker 2: the field, people who are dealing with bad Bunny.
- 50:18Speaker 3: You know a lot of people could know the production team.
- 50:21Speaker 4: I can't production yea or any.
- 50:22Speaker 5: Of the people that played the grass that were dancing, yeah,
- 50:26Speaker 5: because they ran through rehearsals.
- 50:27Speaker 2: R polymarket is the other one market.
- 50:29Speaker 4: But there's a bunch of doing it, not like for
- 50:31Speaker 4: a cast Robin Hood and FanDuel as well. But the
- 50:36Speaker 4: also the Venezuelan raid, didn't someone yes cash in on that.
- 50:41Speaker 2: Right, that's what started it, That's what started going Wait
- 50:43Speaker 2: a minute, how in the hell would anybody know? Wait
- 50:46Speaker 2: a minute, Yeah, because if somebody has access to that information,
- 50:49Speaker 2: they could go to the poly market and go, well,
- 50:51Speaker 2: I believe that we're gonna start blowing up Venezuela and
- 50:53Speaker 2: drug boats, so you know, or a llegend drug boats
- 50:55Speaker 2: or whatever, and sure enough, you know, you put a
- 50:57Speaker 2: dollar down on that the odds are a billion, trillion,
- 50:59Speaker 2: gillion to one, and the next morning you wake up
- 51:01Speaker 2: to a to a you know, a four camera shoot
- 51:04Speaker 2: of these of these boats being blown out of the water.
- 51:07Speaker 2: And I think that one guy collected like a million
- 51:09Speaker 2: or ten million dollars or something.
- 51:10Speaker 4: It was some kind of ridiculous payout.
- 51:12Speaker 2: And it's happening again because somebody laid down some big
- 51:15Speaker 2: time dollars on Cardi B being at the halftime show
- 51:18Speaker 2: and being part of the Bad Bunny Show. And people
- 51:21Speaker 2: are like, well, who in the hell would know that?
- 51:23Speaker 2: That'd be like just picking like Beyonce or any female,
- 51:26Speaker 2: any female artist, I guess, but it's already kind of
- 51:30Speaker 2: throwing a wrench in the machine to this.
- 51:32Speaker 4: Well, she has a song with him.
- 51:33Speaker 5: Yeah, So I mean there's a lot of people that
- 51:35Speaker 5: thought she would perform, but she didn't.
- 51:37Speaker 4: She was just there right down on the field.
- 51:39Speaker 2: So yeah. Polymarket contract had more than ten million dollars
- 51:43Speaker 2: in volume. More than forty seven point three million was
- 51:45Speaker 2: wagered on call. She's market for who will perform it?
- 51:48Speaker 2: At the big Game? Cardi B joined Carol g and
- 51:51Speaker 2: Young Miko, actors Jessica Alba, and it was Pedro Pascal,
- 51:55Speaker 2: the other guy that was with her on a starry
- 51:57Speaker 2: front porch. And you know, because people have access to
- 52:01Speaker 2: this information, people are going, well, this poly market thing
- 52:03Speaker 2: is fixed. Why would I even use this, because it
- 52:06Speaker 2: would be like going, you know, I wonder who's gonna
- 52:07Speaker 2: be on the Jim Colbert Show today as a guest host?
- 52:09Speaker 2: Oh yeah, and I go throw in, you know, one
- 52:11Speaker 2: thousand dollars on Brian Grimes being the guy.
- 52:13Speaker 4: And guess what, Yeah, now we can pay them.
- 52:16Speaker 2: Now we can finally pay this guy.
- 52:17Speaker 4: Yeah. But the so it's not necessarily fixed, it's just predetermined,
- 52:22Speaker 4: you know, like, so you have inside you're just using
- 52:25Speaker 4: inside information. I can still bet whether I like, whether
- 52:30Speaker 4: it's going to be Jessica Alba on that porch or
- 52:32Speaker 4: not without any knowledge of it, right, And if I'm correct,
- 52:35Speaker 4: I still get paid. However, people with inside information are
- 52:40Speaker 4: making a lot more money, and I guess that would
- 52:43Speaker 4: also affect the odds, right, Sure it would, Yes, I
- 52:46Speaker 4: mean it would definitely would, it says due to ambiguity
- 52:48Speaker 4: over whether or not Cardi B's attendance at the twenty
- 52:51Speaker 4: twenty six Super Bowl halftime show constituted a qualifying performance,
- 52:54Speaker 4: and I guess that's what you were saying.
- 52:55Speaker 5: B Yeah, because she does have a song with them,
- 52:57Speaker 5: So she was on the bed like you could bet
- 52:59Speaker 5: that she would be a performer, right, Yeah, that was
- 53:01Speaker 5: on like some real sites that that did the crop bets.
- 53:04Speaker 4: I don't know about this one call.
- 53:06Speaker 2: She cited that one of its CFTC approved rules in
- 53:09Speaker 2: the set in settling in the market at the last
- 53:12Speaker 2: price before trading was paused seventy four cent for no holders.
- 53:15Speaker 2: I don't know what all that means, but it says
- 53:17Speaker 2: under the rules, singing and dancing counted as a performance,
- 53:20Speaker 2: but just dancing in the background did not. That's what
- 53:24Speaker 2: the call, she spokesperson said, and also they're not counting
- 53:28Speaker 2: that in the In the as broadcast performance, Cardi B
- 53:31Speaker 2: was dancing and mouthing words to the song, but it
- 53:33Speaker 2: was unclear if she was singing Paully Market. Paully Market's
- 53:38Speaker 2: contract was resolved as Cardi B had performed, but the
- 53:41Speaker 2: yes was disputed. There was no word on the final
- 53:43Speaker 2: review as of last night.
- 53:44Speaker 4: Huh.
- 53:46Speaker 5: I would say it shouldn't pay out if it's worded,
- 53:49Speaker 5: will Cardi B performed?
- 53:50Speaker 4: I would say it shouldn't get paid.
- 53:52Speaker 2: The trader was a yes holder, and they're seeking thirty
- 53:55Speaker 2: seven hundred dollars from calls because they said yes, she
- 53:59Speaker 2: would perform, and there they contend her in the background
- 54:02Speaker 2: singing and even lip syncing still constitutes a performance.
- 54:05Speaker 4: Yeah, you can't say lip syncing is not performing because
- 54:08Speaker 4: half of them are lips taking.
- 54:09Speaker 2: Anyway, if you're on the stage and you're moving to
- 54:12Speaker 2: the music, you are performing, right, Yeah, I think it
- 54:14Speaker 2: counts when the people were performing were not correct.
- 54:18Speaker 4: See, I don't think so.
- 54:20Speaker 2: Why are you such a contrarian?
- 54:21Speaker 4: He is? He told me.
- 54:23Speaker 5: I'm just saying, like, especially in this setting, because they
- 54:28Speaker 5: it was basically just a crowd shot. I mean, I
- 54:31Speaker 5: guess your argument could be extras or actors, because they're true.
- 54:34Speaker 4: But anyone in that little grass field on the super
- 54:37Speaker 4: Bowl was performing as part of the halftime show, unless
- 54:41Speaker 4: you're a cameraman. I yes, I guess, yeah, I don't know.
- 54:46Speaker 5: There's a lot of times halftime shows and they just
- 54:48Speaker 5: have like people that sign up to go be part
- 54:51Speaker 5: of the crowd.
- 54:51Speaker 4: I you're not performing. But okay, So the couple that
- 54:55Speaker 4: got married that they would was that a performance in
- 55:00Speaker 4: the halftime show?
- 55:01Speaker 2: Or is that just our wedding. No, they were participants
- 55:04Speaker 2: in the halftime show. They were not performers, and that's
- 55:07Speaker 2: different like the grass people.
- 55:09Speaker 4: Whoa, man, you may have a point here. The grass
- 55:11Speaker 4: people are participants, but there's sets, but they're not performing.
- 55:14Speaker 4: They're participants. You're right, They're just they're just holding grass
- 55:17Speaker 4: and spots. They're not doing moves.
- 55:18Speaker 5: The only reason they were they were people is to
- 55:21Speaker 5: flip the stage fast.
- 55:22Speaker 4: That's it.
- 55:24Speaker 5: I had no idea tell the next day about the
- 55:25Speaker 5: grass people. Yeah, I saw a video of them coming
- 55:28Speaker 5: out of the tunnel.
- 55:28Speaker 4: That's it.
- 55:29Speaker 2: And they can only take tiny steps like they're bound,
- 55:31Speaker 2: like their feet are bound like Japanese girls.
- 55:34Speaker 4: You just gotta standing across the field doing.
- 55:37Speaker 2: The Geisha walk. Yeah, I gotta tell you. Man. Though,
- 55:40Speaker 2: the Calshi thing is very interesting because I love predicting stuff.
- 55:44Speaker 4: I love doing it. But the problem is is that
- 55:46Speaker 4: it feels like just so rigable.
- 55:49Speaker 2: It just feels like.
- 55:51Speaker 4: It is, but you still have to be on the
- 55:53Speaker 4: right side of it, right. I have not dipped my
- 55:56Speaker 4: toe in that. I'm still just I am making a
- 55:58Speaker 4: dollar fifty at a time betting Team USA Hockey on
- 56:01Speaker 4: the hard Rock bet app. I bet table tennis on
- 56:04Speaker 4: the hard Rock Bet.
- 56:05Speaker 2: I haven't gotten down that road.
- 56:06Speaker 4: There's a new.
- 56:07Speaker 5: Match starting like literally every five minutes, twenty four hours
- 56:10Speaker 5: a day.
- 56:10Speaker 2: I know, it's crazy. Got I got a buddy that
- 56:12Speaker 2: does that. I tell him, you're insane. I'm never getting
- 56:14Speaker 2: that app on my phone.
- 56:15Speaker 4: I can't. There's no way I can do it. I
- 56:16Speaker 4: think hard rock Bet. They've caught on to the Team
- 56:20Speaker 4: USA and the women's team being so dominant because they're
- 56:23Speaker 4: playing Italy and that they had a Now they're handicapping
- 56:26Speaker 4: him down Devin and a half goal by eight gold.
- 56:31Speaker 2: Are you kidding?
- 56:32Speaker 4: I wanted to throw money on Italy for that, but
- 56:34Speaker 4: I'm like, you know what, Taknner, I'm staying away from it.
- 56:36Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 56:38Speaker 5: There was a story this week about that call. She
- 56:40Speaker 5: you know, you can bet on whether or not Jesus
- 56:41Speaker 5: is coming back?
- 56:42Speaker 4: Oh this year? Oh no, this year?
- 56:47Speaker 5: And now you can bet on how many people are
- 56:49Speaker 5: going to bet on whether or not Jesus is coming back?
- 56:52Speaker 4: That was that's there was a call story this week
- 56:54Speaker 4: about but that's forty chess. I don't even know where
- 56:56Speaker 4: to start with that one.
- 56:56Speaker 5: I'm like, wait, a second, How do you want me
- 56:58Speaker 5: to bet on people's bets?
- 57:00Speaker 2: It says here this is what Robinhood Markets the highlighted
- 57:03Speaker 2: strength of its prediction markets when it announced financial results
- 57:05Speaker 2: for the fourth quarter and a full twenty twenty five
- 57:08Speaker 2: on Tuesday. Quote. I think we're just the beginning of
- 57:10Speaker 2: a prediction market super cycle that could drive trillions in
- 57:14Speaker 2: annual volume over time. That's what vlawd Tenev said during
- 57:18Speaker 2: an earnings call. This year is going to be a
- 57:20Speaker 2: big year. Olympics are going on right now, World Cups
- 57:23Speaker 2: coming in the summer. Get ready. It is going to
- 57:25Speaker 2: be a gambling gambling year twenty twenty six. You know,
- 57:30Speaker 2: I heard a thing today that there is a psychologist
- 57:34Speaker 2: and they were talking about the things that humans that
- 57:38Speaker 2: are the most detrimental to humans, and it was, you know,
- 57:41Speaker 2: one of these list things and one of the things
- 57:44Speaker 2: that actually made the list, I think it was like
- 57:45Speaker 2: in the it was in the top twenty was was
- 57:48Speaker 2: sports gambling and the access to sports gambling and how
- 57:51Speaker 2: easy it is now. The hard rock app apps like that,
- 57:54Speaker 2: fan duel apps of that nature are They actually say
- 57:58Speaker 2: they think unless intervention hits that it could be the
- 58:01Speaker 2: downfall of an entire generation of young males, like an
- 58:06Speaker 2: entire generation of young males could have financial difficulties through
- 58:10Speaker 2: their entire lives because of the inability to stop themselves
- 58:14Speaker 2: from gambling on sports.
- 58:16Speaker 4: Because you think, you know, I am so glad I
- 58:19Speaker 4: did not have access to this until this point in
- 58:22Speaker 4: my life, and I'm still not thrilled that I have
- 58:24Speaker 4: access to this. I hate losing money more than I
- 58:28Speaker 4: like winning it. That's a good one, which is legit.
- 58:31Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, you should tattoo that somewhere anywhere. It doesn't matter, funny,
- 58:35Speaker 2: that's a winning attitude.
- 58:37Speaker 5: I do know a guy through a guy, so I
- 58:39Speaker 5: don't know him personally, but I do have a friend
- 58:41Speaker 5: whose friend lost his house last year, oh Man because
- 58:45Speaker 5: of the online gambling, the sports gambling, and his wife
- 58:48Speaker 5: had no idea.
- 58:49Speaker 2: Wow, I know, so I knew a guy. We talked
- 58:52Speaker 2: about this just the other day, and this is the
- 58:54Speaker 2: only connection I have to this. Most of the people
- 58:56Speaker 2: I know, they have the hard rock at bet. They
- 58:58Speaker 2: don't really talk about it. They just like, hey, yeah,
- 59:00Speaker 2: I won forty dollars. They never tell you the other
- 59:02Speaker 2: side of anything, so I don't really Yeah, when they
- 59:04Speaker 2: start the conversations. I'm just gonna dip. I'm like, I'm
- 59:06Speaker 2: you know, yeah, gambling stories are like fishing stories.
- 59:09Speaker 4: I got one hundred dollars at my account. I shot
- 59:11Speaker 4: it with a thousand.
- 59:12Speaker 2: It's like every poker story I tell my wife of
- 59:14Speaker 2: how I lost, right, it's always somebody else's fault. Yeah,
- 59:17Speaker 2: And there's just no way possible I could ever put
- 59:19Speaker 2: that hard rock app bet on because when you listen
- 59:22Speaker 2: to them talk, you're like, you just want to say
- 59:24Speaker 2: to him, You're like, you sound crazy. But this guy
- 59:25Speaker 2: lost thirteen thousand dollars playing online poker and had to,
- 59:30Speaker 2: you know, had to really make a lot of life
- 59:32Speaker 2: adjustments because and he doesn't do it anymore. I had
- 59:34Speaker 2: to go through the I had to go through a
- 59:36Speaker 2: program the line yards.
- 59:37Speaker 4: I can't do it.
- 59:38Speaker 5: I like, I honestly legitimately throw five ten dollars and
- 59:42Speaker 5: I build outrageous parlays and they may pay out one
- 59:46Speaker 5: thousand if I hit right right, But I've only hit
- 59:48Speaker 5: like two ever, But I only lose five bucks at
- 59:50Speaker 5: a time.
- 59:51Speaker 2: Does that give you it's fun? Does that give you
- 59:54Speaker 2: that sensation that gamblers say they do it for, like
- 59:57Speaker 2: that that rush or that maybe is that that you
- 1:00:00Speaker 2: get it from like just maybe betting four or five
- 1:00:02Speaker 2: dollars and doing the big parlay.
- 1:00:03Speaker 4: No, I don't. I don't. You don't get that feeling. No,
- 1:00:05Speaker 4: and I don't.
- 1:00:05Speaker 5: I don't think I do it for that, thankfully, because
- 1:00:07Speaker 5: I'm not chasing the rush.
- 1:00:08Speaker 4: I'm just I'm just trying to make.
- 1:00:09Speaker 5: It fine whatever I'm watching right right right, So it's like, oh,
- 1:00:11Speaker 5: I bet on a few stats and like string a
- 1:00:14Speaker 5: parlay together, and if three people do what I say,
- 1:00:16Speaker 5: they're gonna do it, My five dollars becomes eighty five
- 1:00:18Speaker 5: dollars cool, And if they don't, it doesn't, right, it's
- 1:00:21Speaker 5: five bucks.
- 1:00:21Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:00:21Speaker 5: I did build a two dollars parlay on table tennis.
- 1:00:24Speaker 5: It was thirteen legs and I would have won about
- 1:00:27Speaker 5: thirteen million dollars.
- 1:00:29Speaker 4: And I did it because I'm thinking this is gonna
- 1:00:31Speaker 4: be an amazing story. They're gonna make a Netflix movie
- 1:00:33Speaker 4: about this.
- 1:00:34Speaker 2: Is this just win loss are also spread?
- 1:00:36Speaker 4: And people the fact it's win loss. He's betting two
- 1:00:39Speaker 4: dollars to win thirteen million. He's not thinking about winning
- 1:00:42Speaker 4: the thirteen million. He's thinking about that Netflix story they're
- 1:00:44Speaker 4: going to do about him winning thirteen million.
- 1:00:47Speaker 5: I did this from the Excel studio about free in
- 1:00:49Speaker 5: the morning because they played table tens twenty four hours.
- 1:00:51Speaker 5: Yeah yeah, yeah, So thirteen leg parlay. I had to
- 1:00:54Speaker 5: bet all the under underdogs, of course, so I hit
- 1:00:57Speaker 5: the first two.
- 1:00:58Speaker 4: And I'm like, yeah, I'm on my way. Then you
- 1:01:00Speaker 4: don't spending that money. The third guy got slaughtered and
- 1:01:03Speaker 4: it's over. But it was fun. Two dollars is worth it?
- 1:01:07Speaker 4: Are you researching these guys at all? Absolutely?
- 1:01:10Speaker 8: No.
- 1:01:11Speaker 2: I would rather lose the third position than lose at
- 1:01:13Speaker 2: the eleventh position.
- 1:01:15Speaker 4: They'd offer you a payout then cash in a little bit.
- 1:01:18Speaker 2: I think rawlins one time, when the when the when
- 1:01:20Speaker 2: the when the lottery first started, like here in town,
- 1:01:23Speaker 2: it was just the lotto and that was it. I
- 1:01:25Speaker 2: think russ either got I think he got a five
- 1:01:27Speaker 2: five numbers on his ticket or something like that, one
- 1:01:29Speaker 2: of a couple thousand bucks or whatever, and he was
- 1:01:31Speaker 2: one digit off of the other.
- 1:01:32Speaker 5: My mom was that one digit off, and it was
- 1:01:34Speaker 5: because my birthday was Oh my god, she would have
- 1:01:36Speaker 5: won twenty nine million and she won seven thousand.
- 1:01:39Speaker 2: Oh wow, all right, four seven nine one. Text us
- 1:01:42Speaker 2: at seven seven zero three one, Jack, I'm gonna send
- 1:01:44Speaker 2: you something. I want you to bring up. This video
- 1:01:47Speaker 2: we're going to talk about next because oh yeah, yeah,
- 1:01:50Speaker 2: I'm sorry, buddy. I let's do the Olympic update next.
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: Coming up next on The Jim Colbert Show. It's time
- 1:02:11Speaker 1: for Jack's Olympic update on The Jim Colbert Show.
- 1:02:15Speaker 2: Let's get it, Jackson.
- 1:02:16Speaker 4: Yeah, things are happening in Italy. It's happening right now.
- 1:02:19Speaker 4: No spoilers here. If you're planning on watching tonight, amen,
- 1:02:23Speaker 4: I respect that. And last night though, ooh, it was good,
- 1:02:27Speaker 4: but it was a little tough at the end. Snowboard
- 1:02:31Speaker 4: Superstar American Chloe Kim are you familiar, Jim, I am, Yes,
- 1:02:35Speaker 4: you have seen her right, He's a monster.
- 1:02:36Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:02:37Speaker 4: She was going for her she was chasing history, going
- 1:02:39Speaker 4: for her third straight Olympic goal last night in Italy,
- 1:02:43Speaker 4: and she was actually leading. She put So this is halfpipe,
- 1:02:47Speaker 4: right right. You get three runs. You start at the top,
- 1:02:50Speaker 4: you come down, You're going back and forth, you're doing
- 1:02:53Speaker 4: your tricks at the top of the land and until
- 1:02:55Speaker 4: you get all the way down, and then they judge you.
- 1:02:57Speaker 4: If you fall, it's not.
- 1:02:58Speaker 2: Gonna it's just one of your right, it's just.
- 1:03:00Speaker 4: One of your runs. They take the best score out
- 1:03:03Speaker 4: of all three. She puts down her first run with
- 1:03:06Speaker 4: some great tricks, so that gets it out of the way,
- 1:03:09Speaker 4: and now you can give you the freedom to go
- 1:03:11Speaker 4: for the big sell. Yeah.
- 1:03:12Speaker 2: Absolutely, yeah.
- 1:03:14Speaker 4: And she was leading going into the third and final
- 1:03:17Speaker 4: round in goal position until seventeen year old South Korean
- 1:03:21Speaker 4: phenom Choi Gayan past her. Chloe Kim settles for silver.
- 1:03:26Speaker 4: So great. But you know what's even more impressive though,
- 1:03:31Speaker 4: is Chloe Kim did it. She had a shoulder injury.
- 1:03:33Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, and this is they consider this
- 1:03:36Speaker 2: a passing of the torch in the professional snowboarding world.
- 1:03:39Speaker 4: Yeah yeah, she's over there at twenty five years old.
- 1:03:44Speaker 2: Yea, yeah, twenty five yet she's all done.
- 1:03:45Speaker 4: It's crazy.
- 1:03:46Speaker 2: Hang them up, Jack Washing, hanging up.
- 1:03:48Speaker 4: But they got kids. But speaking of age, and now
- 1:03:52Speaker 4: let's go to snowboard cross. Have you watched snowboard cross?
- 1:03:55Speaker 4: I absolutely love this one.
- 1:03:56Speaker 2: I haven't watched it yet.
- 1:03:57Speaker 4: Known for snowboarders snowboards at the top and then they
- 1:04:02Speaker 4: come down and they raced down the hill next to
- 1:04:04Speaker 4: each other, right, so there's sometimes there's some business and stuff,
- 1:04:08Speaker 4: and usually what they do is qualifying out of four
- 1:04:10Speaker 4: racers the front two they advanced to the semifinals. Then
- 1:04:14Speaker 4: they do it again and those two advanced to the finals,
- 1:04:17Speaker 4: and then you have you know, then you have gold, metal, silver,
- 1:04:22Speaker 4: and bronze. So in the semifinals there were a couple
- 1:04:26Speaker 4: of Americans in there. Forty four year old Nick Bombgardner
- 1:04:30Speaker 4: was in there. I think this is his fourth Olympics.
- 1:04:34Speaker 4: He's my dentist. Yeah, dude, forty four years old. And
- 1:04:39Speaker 4: it was a photo finish that he got. He did
- 1:04:42Speaker 4: not make the finals by a photo finish, but I
- 1:04:45Speaker 4: just loved his post race interview.
- 1:04:48Speaker 2: So I got a little of that for you here.
- 1:04:50Speaker 4: It is wild.
- 1:04:51Speaker 9: I mean, I think it goes to show the kind
- 1:04:52Speaker 9: of work that I put in the state here. It
- 1:04:54Speaker 9: takes every bit of me and every bit of effort
- 1:04:56Speaker 9: that I have to be able.
- 1:04:57Speaker 4: To compete with these kids.
- 1:04:58Speaker 9: You see how fast they are and to be able
- 1:05:00Speaker 9: to do that.
- 1:05:00Speaker 4: But I love this so much.
- 1:05:01Speaker 9: If you find something you love, it doesn't matter how
- 1:05:04Speaker 9: much rick you got to put in. You're happy to
- 1:05:05Speaker 9: do it, and I'll continue to do it because I
- 1:05:08Speaker 9: just I love what I do. You saw that out there.
- 1:05:10Speaker 9: I never had so much fun losing in my life,
- 1:05:12Speaker 9: and it's a great time. I get to represent my
- 1:05:15Speaker 9: country and have fun.
- 1:05:16Speaker 4: With my friends. What's next?
- 1:05:18Speaker 9: Yeah, I heard that on the broadcast. Someone said that
- 1:05:21Speaker 9: this is my last Olympics. Absolutely not. I always said,
- 1:05:23Speaker 9: as long as I'm having fun and i'm competitive, which
- 1:05:25Speaker 9: go together, I'll continue.
- 1:05:27Speaker 3: To do this pretty good, right, yeah, real good.
- 1:05:29Speaker 4: Yeah. Yeah, So forty four years old and he wants
- 1:05:33Speaker 4: to compete at forty eight. So you say it's a
- 1:05:36Speaker 4: young kid's gay, but I mean he was pretty close
- 1:05:39Speaker 4: to making the finals. The American that did make the
- 1:05:42Speaker 4: finals is Nathan Perey. He crossed the finish line first. However,
- 1:05:48Speaker 4: got disqualified after judge's rule. He intentionally collided with another rider.
- 1:05:54Speaker 4: Oh wow, because dirty pool. It does when they are
- 1:05:57Speaker 4: that close, you are, well, you're trying to I thing right,
- 1:06:01Speaker 4: It's not allowed to do that, I guess exactly. No, okay,
- 1:06:04Speaker 4: not intentionally, and so they kind of have to watch
- 1:06:07Speaker 4: video and deem what your intentions were at when there
- 1:06:12Speaker 4: are collisions like that.
- 1:06:13Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:06:13Speaker 4: Yeah, So he got bumped and did not medal. Team
- 1:06:17Speaker 4: USA Men's hockey dominates in their opener five to one
- 1:06:20Speaker 4: over Latvia. Uh, the women are playing today against Italy.
- 1:06:25Speaker 4: I wasn't betting it with a seven and a half
- 1:06:27Speaker 4: point lose.
- 1:06:28Speaker 2: No crazy, it's hockey, right, yeah, yeah, it's banana seven goals.
- 1:06:33Speaker 4: Yeah. American speed skater Corey McDermott Mustowe competed in the
- 1:06:38Speaker 4: one thousand meter. He did not medal. He actually finished ninth,
- 1:06:42Speaker 4: but made history as being the first what.
- 1:06:47Speaker 2: Oh, male speed skater Asian American to win first openly
- 1:06:53Speaker 2: gay male speed skater the Olympics for any country. Damn? Really?
- 1:06:57Speaker 4: Yeah, how about that? Now that's the speed skating. Now
- 1:07:01Speaker 4: the short track. Have you been watching any of that?
- 1:07:03Speaker 2: No? No, no, I haven't seen that one. That one, that one.
- 1:07:05Speaker 4: Looks nuts, that can be complete chaos. Yeh yeah, and
- 1:07:07Speaker 4: it was for US speed skater Chris and Santos Griswold
- 1:07:10Speaker 4: had multiple falls and missed the metal final. Damn yeah,
- 1:07:14Speaker 4: because I mean that's another one where.
- 1:07:17Speaker 2: That reminds me of like Roller Derby. Ye, that's like
- 1:07:19Speaker 2: right there, you're just banging the complete hell out of
- 1:07:21Speaker 2: each other. Absolutely, that's right.
- 1:07:23Speaker 4: So tonight on TV you got women's snowboard cross finals.
- 1:07:28Speaker 4: So again, that's across all four of them coming down
- 1:07:31Speaker 4: the mountain at once. The women are doing it, and
- 1:07:33Speaker 4: so that's always a fun race to watch. Men snowboard
- 1:07:36Speaker 4: halfpipe finals. So the guys are doing what Chloe Kim
- 1:07:40Speaker 4: was doing last night, right, men's skeleton. Remember that's those
- 1:07:43Speaker 4: single slider, headfirst down that bob sled track. Yeah, the
- 1:07:47Speaker 4: ice coffin. Yeah, the that is crazy.
- 1:07:50Speaker 2: I'm going to go on like sixty five miles an
- 1:07:52Speaker 2: hour down there with your head first, Yeah, on a
- 1:07:53Speaker 2: tiny little sled that doesn't even cover like your torso.
- 1:07:56Speaker 4: Yeah, and the uh and then figure skating. The premiere
- 1:08:00Speaker 4: event tonight will be figure skating. It's the men's free skate.
- 1:08:04Speaker 4: That'll be Illiam Allan in the quad God going for
- 1:08:07Speaker 4: the gold medal tonight. So they did the short program
- 1:08:09Speaker 4: a couple days ago. Tonight's the longer program, the free skate.
- 1:08:13Speaker 4: He has the advantage of going last, so depending on
- 1:08:17Speaker 4: how much points he need, he can decide how many
- 1:08:19Speaker 4: times he has to break out the quad all right,
- 1:08:22Speaker 4: the quad axle, because they say in the free skate
- 1:08:25Speaker 4: he has done it up to seven times damn before.
- 1:08:27Speaker 4: But if you have tired legs, you don't want to
- 1:08:29Speaker 4: do it. And not complete it. So it's going to
- 1:08:32Speaker 4: be interesting to see how that goes tonight. The drama
- 1:08:34Speaker 4: tonight in Italy. Who You're ready for a snack, Let's
- 1:08:38Speaker 4: do it too.
- 1:08:38Speaker 1: It's time for Jack's Olympic snack.
- 1:08:42Speaker 2: That's part of the Jim Coolberg Show. What you got there, buddy?
- 1:08:44Speaker 2: And this is a very important choice because when we
- 1:08:46Speaker 2: come back at the top of the hour, it's Fair season.
- 1:08:50Speaker 4: Oh Fairfood.
- 1:08:50Speaker 2: That means the new fairfood is out, and I have
- 1:08:52Speaker 2: a list of some stuff you are going to blow
- 1:08:54Speaker 2: your face off over.
- 1:08:55Speaker 4: Oddly enough, tonight's snack is going to be great, okay,
- 1:09:01Speaker 4: and I don't know what it is yet, Jack, because
- 1:09:05Speaker 4: I'm going to Francesca's with my wife for going out
- 1:09:07Speaker 4: to dinner, so I'm actually gonna miss part of the coverage.
- 1:09:11Speaker 2: Okay. So you're going to Francesca's and you've been there, yes, Okay,
- 1:09:15Speaker 2: you know it's good there, right what time? Everything is
- 1:09:18Speaker 2: good there? That's what that's Yeah, my personal opinion, let
- 1:09:21Speaker 2: me hear it. This is gonna break some hearts out there.
- 1:09:23Speaker 2: And I'm not eating at every Italian restaurant in Orlando,
- 1:09:25Speaker 2: but the ones I've eaten at, I think they have
- 1:09:27Speaker 2: the best lasagna in the city. I think they have
- 1:09:30Speaker 2: the best lasagna in Orlando. I think Francesca's has the best.
- 1:09:35Speaker 4: It is.
- 1:09:36Speaker 2: It is fantastic and you get a portion that will
- 1:09:40Speaker 2: easily feed you in somebody else.
- 1:09:41Speaker 4: Doude because I love getting I love lasagna. I love
- 1:09:45Speaker 4: my the homemade lasagna I grew up with and it's
- 1:09:48Speaker 4: one of those things that I like getting at different places.
- 1:09:50Speaker 2: I am looking forward to getting get the bread. And also,
- 1:09:54Speaker 2: if you if you like, you know, don't you don't
- 1:09:55Speaker 2: like h you don't like Broad, don't you tell me
- 1:09:58Speaker 2: what I don't like. I don't like Broad. But they
- 1:09:59Speaker 2: have a a veradas. It's cheese, but when you break
- 1:10:02Speaker 2: it open, it kind of looks like arcata a little bit.
- 1:10:04Speaker 2: And I know you don't freak out about it, but.
- 1:10:06Speaker 4: It's just motch. It's just mouts.
- 1:10:08Speaker 1: But it's time for this to be over and get
- 1:10:13Speaker 1: back to the Jim Colberg Show.
- 1:10:14Speaker 2: All right, four oh seven nine one six overgain Jack's
- 1:10:17Speaker 2: Olympic update every day at four forty five. I'll remember eventually,
- 1:10:20Speaker 2: uh four seven nine one six one four one Again
- 1:10:23Speaker 2: you can always text us at seven seven zero three
- 1:10:25Speaker 2: one got a fresh keyword for you at the top
- 1:10:27Speaker 2: of the hour. And like I said, when we come back,
- 1:10:29Speaker 2: the fair season is here. The Florida say fair will
- 1:10:31Speaker 2: be here before you know it, Central Florida Fair will
- 1:10:33Speaker 2: be here for you know it. This is fair season
- 1:10:35Speaker 2: in Florida and the food has gone.
- 1:10:41Speaker 4: Hey, Colber crew, Happy Friday.
- 1:10:44Speaker 2: Talking about supports betting.
- 1:10:46Speaker 12: There is an ad going around I saw just a
- 1:10:49Speaker 12: couple of weeks ago, maybe it was just last week
- 1:10:52Speaker 12: actually that as a mental health advocate, it makes my
- 1:10:56Speaker 12: skin crawl. It's from one of the big casinos. I
- 1:10:59Speaker 12: won't say, but it shows somebody really upset about football
- 1:11:04Speaker 12: season ending.
- 1:11:06Speaker 8: Uh.
- 1:11:06Speaker 12: And the basic message is, hey, it's okay, you can
- 1:11:08Speaker 12: gamble on this and that so.
- 1:11:12Speaker 13: Good after morning, Colbert Ruin of course, to our wonderful
- 1:11:15Speaker 13: guest today, Billy, So, Jimmy, I just want to see
- 1:11:18Speaker 13: you do luge or skeleton, just to see you in
- 1:11:23Speaker 13: that form fitting suit. That would just be the greatest
- 1:11:26Speaker 13: promo shot.
- 1:11:26Speaker 4: For your show ever.
- 1:11:27Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:11:27Speaker 4: Yeah, we also, Billy just had a question for you.
- 1:11:30Speaker 13: Have you ever noticed that seven has even in it?
- 1:11:34Speaker 4: Isn't that a bit odd?
- 1:11:35Speaker 2: Oh?
- 1:11:36Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 1:11:37Speaker 2: This guy?
- 1:11:38Speaker 5: This guy anyway, dramatic, the dramatic.
- 1:11:42Speaker 4: Paul's got you. I love that he's got a good job.
- 1:11:45Speaker 2: Good job, buddy.
- 1:11:46Speaker 4: And by the way, that yeah, I've seen Matt Lower
- 1:11:49Speaker 4: and Al Roker do the louge and they wore the suits.
- 1:11:52Speaker 2: Not no, yeah, yeah, yeah, I'm not pretty. I'm not
- 1:11:54Speaker 2: wedging this fat into anything. Not thirty thirty two Levi's
- 1:12:00Speaker 2: that's about where I'm gonna go. All right, you're five o'clock. Keyword.
- 1:12:03Speaker 2: By the way, his check, that's cgck. Go to real
- 1:12:05Speaker 2: radio don FM and send that away from your chance
- 1:12:07Speaker 2: at one thousand dollars. Guys, check is the answer. That
- 1:12:10Speaker 2: is the word. Go get that money. Welcome back, I'm
- 1:12:14Speaker 2: Jim Brian Grimes with us today. Hello Sarah, thanks me always.
- 1:12:16Speaker 2: Good to see you, big dog.
- 1:12:17Speaker 4: I never turned down an invite if I can, well,
- 1:12:20Speaker 4: I appreciate that very much. And Jack is here as well.
- 1:12:21Speaker 4: And Big T also has his bit calling Brian billy
- 1:12:24Speaker 4: and yeah, I don't even where that came from first time.
- 1:12:27Speaker 4: The first time, I think it was a mistake, and
- 1:12:30Speaker 4: then we called him out on it, and so he
- 1:12:32Speaker 4: now has continued to do it very nice.
- 1:12:35Speaker 2: Well, the are you guys fair fans. You like going
- 1:12:37Speaker 2: to the fair, Yeah, yeah, and spend a minute. I'm
- 1:12:40Speaker 2: one day a year fair guy. I can get all
- 1:12:44Speaker 2: the fair I need one time a year, like I
- 1:12:48Speaker 2: if it's in town for two or three weeks, I
- 1:12:50Speaker 2: will not be going two days. I got one day
- 1:12:53Speaker 2: at the fair and that's it. And the reason why
- 1:12:55Speaker 2: is I can't ride the rides. But I do like
- 1:12:57Speaker 2: playing the games, and I do like just being around
- 1:13:00Speaker 2: the fair because it's really good people watching, by the way, Yeah,
- 1:13:03Speaker 2: I mean extraordinarily good people watching. But the one thing
- 1:13:05Speaker 2: I do like about the fair is the food. And
- 1:13:07Speaker 2: the reason why is because, like the same reason everybody
- 1:13:10Speaker 2: likes the fair is because the food is whack. Everything's fried,
- 1:13:14Speaker 2: everything is crazy. And it started out with when did
- 1:13:17Speaker 2: this begin? Do you remember what I tried?
- 1:13:20Speaker 4: Oreo? It had to be the Deep by the way,
- 1:13:23Speaker 4: which I yeah, I think that's what I remember. First
- 1:13:25Speaker 4: I thought that all what, that's stupid? And have you
- 1:13:28Speaker 4: ever had one? They're great, amazing, amazing.
- 1:13:31Speaker 2: If you get one of those things with a little
- 1:13:33Speaker 2: scoop of the ice cream, I don't know how you
- 1:13:34Speaker 2: beat that. They're unbelievably good. I want to hate it
- 1:13:38Speaker 2: so much because a bougie jack.
- 1:13:41Speaker 4: Yeah yeah, a bougie yeah.
- 1:13:43Speaker 2: Let's run some of these uh, let's run some of
- 1:13:45Speaker 2: these fair fair foods. And see, this is the Florida
- 1:13:48Speaker 2: State Fair. This thing is coming here soon, right, uh
- 1:13:50Speaker 2: huh yeah, February fifth, it's actually rolling right now.
- 1:13:53Speaker 4: Matter of fact, it's already gone. Nope through the sixteenth. Yeah,
- 1:13:56Speaker 4: so it ends this week. Okay, so last weekend to
- 1:13:58Speaker 4: get your fair food.
- 1:13:59Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 1:13:59Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:14:00Speaker 7: So.
- 1:14:00Speaker 2: And it's so funny because not only do they give
- 1:14:02Speaker 2: you the name of it, they give you the description.
- 1:14:03Speaker 2: I'm gonna hit you with, guys with this, and you
- 1:14:05Speaker 2: tell me what you think it is. Some of them
- 1:14:07Speaker 2: will be pretty self explanatory. Other ones may be a
- 1:14:09Speaker 2: little kind of harder, right Okay, A rapa pig mec
- 1:14:14Speaker 2: a rapa pig mech.
- 1:14:16Speaker 5: Oh okay, and a rapea with mac and cheese and
- 1:14:19Speaker 5: pulled pork on top.
- 1:14:20Speaker 2: That's exactly what it is. I mean, sounds good and
- 1:14:23Speaker 2: it looks amazing. Okay, So this one's gonna be self explanatory.
- 1:14:25Speaker 2: So I'll just tell you Berya streetcorn. So the Berria
- 1:14:29Speaker 2: thing is a big deal right now. They're trying to
- 1:14:30Speaker 2: pour that into any possibility.
- 1:14:32Speaker 4: They can.
- 1:14:32Speaker 5: If it's done right, it's good, but sometimes it's just
- 1:14:35Speaker 5: like weird soup.
- 1:14:36Speaker 2: Here's another one. It's berry Berya street taco pizza. So
- 1:14:40Speaker 2: what they do is they're making a pizza like a
- 1:14:42Speaker 2: street taco, and they're giving you the berria to dip
- 1:14:45Speaker 2: it into. So instead of on a taco shell, they're giving
- 1:14:48Speaker 2: it to you on a pizza.
- 1:14:50Speaker 4: Down with that.
- 1:14:51Speaker 2: Chimmy Churry keys cheese curds, which is just pretty easy.
- 1:14:54Speaker 2: It's fried cheese curds covered with Jimmy churry sauce. Let's
- 1:14:57Speaker 2: see what else. Oh, here's one. How about a a
- 1:15:00Speaker 2: mosa Korean corn dog. Korean corn dogs are a thing,
- 1:15:05Speaker 2: A full mozzarella Korean corn dog rolled in butter and
- 1:15:09Speaker 2: cinnamon sugar. Yeah.
- 1:15:12Speaker 4: Yeah, I don't need to eat it that, I'll just
- 1:15:15Speaker 4: admire it from Afar.
- 1:15:16Speaker 2: Cookie butter frozen cheesecake I'm down with. That is on
- 1:15:20Speaker 2: a stick, dude, and it's dipped in cookie butter and
- 1:15:23Speaker 2: rolled and crushed bish off cookies.
- 1:15:25Speaker 4: Yeah, I would punch an old lady for cookie butter.
- 1:15:27Speaker 4: It's good.
- 1:15:28Speaker 2: Well, imagine that with a piece of cheese. A deep
- 1:15:31Speaker 2: fried Cuban burrito So imagine an egg roll that looks
- 1:15:36Speaker 2: like a Cuban sandwich inside and then they deep fried again.
- 1:15:39Speaker 2: Looks amazing.
- 1:15:40Speaker 4: I eat ten of them. I don't I don't like
- 1:15:41Speaker 4: Cuban sandwiches. Oh, I don't like pickles. I don't like
- 1:15:44Speaker 4: hamn like mustard. Sorry, I'm out.
- 1:15:46Speaker 2: Here's where we get into the fun.
- 1:15:47Speaker 4: You can't get that, but together it works.
- 1:15:50Speaker 2: Dyll devil. What's a Dill Dell.
- 1:15:53Speaker 4: Legg that's with Dyll pickles and it's like the deviled
- 1:15:57Speaker 4: egg part hollowed out.
- 1:16:00Speaker 2: Oh yeah?
- 1:16:01Speaker 4: Is that? It?
- 1:16:03Speaker 2: A crisp whole dill pickle haved in cord yep with
- 1:16:08Speaker 2: cream cheese based deviled filling, topped with red pepper flakes.
- 1:16:13Speaker 2: So if you okay, go to floridastatefair dot com.
- 1:16:16Speaker 5: It's interesting sounding and I think my wife would eat that.
- 1:16:19Speaker 5: I don't like pickles, so I'd be out, but it
- 1:16:21Speaker 5: sounds good.
- 1:16:21Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:16:21Speaker 2: So basically, they take a pickle, they cut it in half.
- 1:16:23Speaker 2: They they carve that thing out to make like a canoe,
- 1:16:26Speaker 2: like a pickle canoe, and they fill it up with
- 1:16:28Speaker 2: this this flavored cream cheese and then they sprinkle red
- 1:16:31Speaker 2: pepper flakes over it.
- 1:16:35Speaker 4: You know where this is right Tampa, right fair Grinds.
- 1:16:38Speaker 4: It's right by the amphitheater from I just saw the
- 1:16:43Speaker 4: cookie butter frozen cheesecake. I'm down with that.
- 1:16:45Speaker 2: How about that? Life?
- 1:16:45Speaker 4: Oh, I see the Okay, how about that, dude? It
- 1:16:47Speaker 4: looks good, right, I see the the dill devil.
- 1:16:50Speaker 2: Yet I don't don't scroll down though, Okay, Well to
- 1:16:52Speaker 2: buy chocolate funnel cake, and I will tell you have you.
- 1:16:54Speaker 4: Had to buy chocolate yet? I have not? Dude?
- 1:16:56Speaker 2: Are you pistachio guy?
- 1:16:58Speaker 3: I don't.
- 1:16:58Speaker 4: I don't mind them.
- 1:16:59Speaker 2: Let me tell you it's wild because pistachios have a
- 1:17:02Speaker 2: kind of a meaty flavor to them. They're kind of
- 1:17:05Speaker 2: meaty man with There is nothing like it. I'm telling you.
- 1:17:08Speaker 2: That's that may be my favorite new food trend on
- 1:17:11Speaker 2: Earth right now is the pistachio cream and chocolate. You
- 1:17:14Speaker 2: know that French bakery place I just told you about, Yeah,
- 1:17:16Speaker 2: that's out in Hamlin. Yes, yes, they have, right, they
- 1:17:20Speaker 2: have like a croissant that's half dipped in some pistachio cream,
- 1:17:24Speaker 2: but on the inside of it it's also pistachio cream. Dude,
- 1:17:27Speaker 2: it is. It's next level, man, grilled campfire smore sandwich
- 1:17:34Speaker 2: matter a grilled cheese sandwich, but inside it's s'mores.
- 1:17:38Speaker 4: With the cheese with the cheese again, Campire.
- 1:17:43Speaker 2: Grilled cheese cheese stuff with warm nutella, toasted marshmallow, and
- 1:17:48Speaker 2: crunchy Graham crackers. But it's on a grilled cheese sandwich.
- 1:17:52Speaker 4: Is there cheese? There's no cheese, thank you? Okay?
- 1:17:54Speaker 5: If there were, okay, I'll have that. I thought you
- 1:17:56Speaker 5: said there was also cheese. I'm like, nah, I'm not
- 1:17:58Speaker 5: doing that.
- 1:17:58Speaker 2: How about this one? Hawaiian freat corn and a cup.
- 1:18:01Speaker 2: So it's corn with the that cheese with ham, pineapple,
- 1:18:06Speaker 2: mayonnaise and spices.
- 1:18:07Speaker 4: It looks amazing. I'd have that hot honey apple fries.
- 1:18:13Speaker 2: So slippers of fray are of apple, deep fried and
- 1:18:16Speaker 2: then tossed in cinnamon, sugar, sugar, and then drizzled with
- 1:18:19Speaker 2: Mike's hot honey.
- 1:18:20Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:18:20Speaker 2: Top with vanilla soft serve, dying hot honey. Jlipino popper
- 1:18:27Speaker 2: donut a fluffy yeast doughnut, top with whipped halipino cream, cheese,
- 1:18:33Speaker 2: bacon crumbles, Hlipino slices, and a drizzle of hot honey.
- 1:18:36Speaker 4: Now I'm leaving that one. No, no, that's not for me.
- 1:18:39Speaker 2: So they have the they have the Nashville Hot Chicken
- 1:18:41Speaker 2: tater tots. That's self explanatory.
- 1:18:43Speaker 4: I don't like tater tots. Did we have this argument
- 1:18:48Speaker 4: last night?
- 1:18:48Speaker 2: I think, But the shock of it still hurts. Hoving
- 1:18:53Speaker 2: you say that out loud hurts.
- 1:18:54Speaker 5: Because I told you it was poor people food when
- 1:18:56Speaker 5: I was younger, and I don't eat it because I
- 1:18:58Speaker 5: was forsty i was younger. It was on the Free
- 1:19:01Speaker 5: Lunch program, mashed up tater tots, way.
- 1:19:04Speaker 2: Man peanut butter fluff, Casa Dia. So they take a
- 1:19:07Speaker 2: Casa Dia and they fill it up with Reese's cups,
- 1:19:09Speaker 2: Graham crackers and marshmallows. They pan, they put that in
- 1:19:13Speaker 2: a thing and melt everything, and then they drizzle caramel
- 1:19:15Speaker 2: over it. And when you see a plate of those,
- 1:19:17Speaker 2: I'm like, give me a a glass of milk, freezing
- 1:19:19Speaker 2: cold and a plate of those. And I'm in.
- 1:19:23Speaker 4: Philly.
- 1:19:24Speaker 2: Cheese steak baked potato looks amazing. I have that Reese's
- 1:19:30Speaker 2: Pieces donut burger, a nutella donut burger stacked with Angus beef, cheese, bacon, chocolate,
- 1:19:39Speaker 2: peanut butter, vanilla icing and Reese's pieces.
- 1:19:43Speaker 4: I think I'm gonna say, maybe too much. That's That's
- 1:19:46Speaker 4: what I'm saying. Whatever's in the pan.
- 1:19:52Speaker 2: What if you just got the front page.
- 1:19:53Speaker 4: You just scroll it, click where it says food.
- 1:19:57Speaker 2: Holy ass. They call Deanna's doughnut Burger. Look at that thing.
- 1:20:04Speaker 2: I have to tell you. The sweets and savory are
- 1:20:05Speaker 2: very good.
- 1:20:06Speaker 4: You know.
- 1:20:06Speaker 2: The regular doughnut burger is delicious, like a good glazed
- 1:20:10Speaker 2: donut with a patty in it. I've had that. That's wonderful.
- 1:20:13Speaker 2: I'm with Jack, though, this.
- 1:20:14Speaker 4: Is a lot. Yeah, that's too much.
- 1:20:18Speaker 2: Surfing turf Alfredo Sunday garlic palm fries top of serling steak,
- 1:20:24Speaker 2: Cajun shrimp, creamy Alfredo with mushrooms cut.
- 1:20:27Speaker 5: I mean, I guess I don't mind that, but when
- 1:20:29Speaker 5: you say Sunday, it throws me off.
- 1:20:31Speaker 2: And the winner, there is no way anybody's beating this one.
- 1:20:35Speaker 2: I'll just say it. Three words, dude, that's all you need.
- 1:20:38Speaker 2: Sushi corn dog. They take a sushi roll, but instead
- 1:20:43Speaker 2: of the sushi being on an inside, it's a hot dog.
- 1:20:45Speaker 2: Then they dip that and then they they fry it.
- 1:20:49Speaker 2: A corn dog sliced to look like sushi top with halipinos,
- 1:20:52Speaker 2: pepper jack cheese served with chopstick.
- 1:20:56Speaker 4: For the culture part, you know the chopsticks.
- 1:20:57Speaker 5: Yeah, they slice it up like it looks like her
- 1:21:00Speaker 5: step in of sushi culture.
- 1:21:01Speaker 4: It's a corn dog. Yeah, no, oh, go down one
- 1:21:07Speaker 4: twisted Italian out.
- 1:21:09Speaker 2: Italian sausage wrapped in the homemade dough with peppers and onions. Alter.
- 1:21:13Speaker 4: It's like a stromboli is with that coiling of the

- 1:21:36Speaker 2: in this weekend if you go over to Tampa and
- 1:21:39Speaker 2: go to the final weekend of the Florida State Fair.
- 1:21:41Speaker 2: I about the cottle mighty, it sounds all good.
- 1:21:42Speaker 4: Most of it does look really good. I'm not sure
- 1:21:44Speaker 4: what I'm looking at. Fried oyster mushrooms. It looks like.
- 1:21:47Speaker 2: Pulled fork yeah, yeah, but it's oyster mushrooms. That's their
- 1:21:50Speaker 2: veggie shot. I guess jack, Oh okay, Oh it's healthy.
- 1:21:54Speaker 2: Somebody says they hate us for saying this stuff over

- 1:23:10Speaker 2: him and send it away for your chance at a
- 1:23:12Speaker 2: thousand bucks. I'm Jim. There's Brian Hello. Jack is ear
- 1:23:15Speaker 2: as well. Indeed, so some interesting things are happening. We
- 1:23:18Speaker 2: talk about this quite a bit. B I don't know
- 1:23:20Speaker 2: about you guys over on Johnny's house, but we talk
- 1:23:23Speaker 2: about the impact of a I and and and you know,
- 1:23:28Speaker 2: the entertainment world talks about this a lot, but we
- 1:23:31Speaker 2: talk about it because of you know, it's impact on
- 1:23:34Speaker 2: lifespan for humans. And when you know, I think that
- 1:23:38Speaker 2: within my life, I mean, you know, I probably got
- 1:23:40Speaker 2: at least twenty more years.
- 1:23:41Speaker 4: Maybe let's hope that it's.
- 1:23:43Speaker 2: Going to be, you know, within this within the next
- 1:23:45Speaker 2: two decades, you're going to be able to see a
- 1:23:47Speaker 2: you know, a definitive change in science that's going to
- 1:23:51Speaker 2: extend human life.
- 1:23:52Speaker 3: Right.
- 1:23:52Speaker 2: And this is going to be a global thing. It's
- 1:23:53Speaker 2: not gonna be just here in America or whatever. It's
- 1:23:55Speaker 2: gonna be a global thing. And you know, we we've
- 1:23:58Speaker 2: always kind of opined on what countries plan on doing
- 1:24:02Speaker 2: when things like that arise. And we know for a
- 1:24:04Speaker 2: fact that even just with our military, that we're thinking
- 1:24:07Speaker 2: two or three decades ahead. Right. We know that because
- 1:24:10Speaker 2: in the nineties, you know, people started seeing or in
- 1:24:12Speaker 2: the nineties and early two thousands, people started seeing the
- 1:24:14Speaker 2: stealth bomber, or in the eighties, they started seeing it
- 1:24:17Speaker 2: and they were thinking it was a UFO and then
- 1:24:18Speaker 2: we find out litter down the road, it's a military weapon, right,
- 1:24:21Speaker 2: and we think that most of the UFO sidings probably
- 1:24:23Speaker 2: are that you'll probably being tested without your knowledge. They've
- 1:24:25Speaker 2: been working on technologies for a very long time. So
- 1:24:29Speaker 2: today there was an interesting story that Switzerland. Switzerland is
- 1:24:35Speaker 2: actually voting on capping its population at ten million by
- 1:24:39Speaker 2: twenty fifty. So they have nine point one million people
- 1:24:45Speaker 2: and Switzerland's pretty small on if you've seen it on
- 1:24:47Speaker 2: a map, it's seventy but it's as a right wing
- 1:24:50Speaker 2: Swiss People's Party plan pits immigration limits against labor needs.
- 1:24:55Speaker 2: So what they're going to plan on doing is they're
- 1:24:57Speaker 2: going to hold a referendum this summer to decide on
- 1:24:59Speaker 2: whether to cap the country's population at ten million, And
- 1:25:04Speaker 2: it is kind of you know, as I read the story,
- 1:25:07Speaker 2: they're talking a lot about, you know, the immigration people
- 1:25:09Speaker 2: who have that were born there, they can stay. But
- 1:25:13Speaker 2: you know, they're even talking about people who were you know,
- 1:25:15Speaker 2: naturalized citizens of Switzerland, came there, became a Swedish citizen,
- 1:25:19Speaker 2: do different thanly than someone would come here and do
- 1:25:20Speaker 2: the same thing about even you know, double checking the
- 1:25:23Speaker 2: status of those people as it kind of gets closer
- 1:25:26Speaker 2: to the number. But I don't The part of this
- 1:25:31Speaker 2: it's scary to me is like beyond that scope. I mean,
- 1:25:33Speaker 2: that's twenty fifty is not that far away, no, you know,
- 1:25:36Speaker 2: and beyond the scope of that, you wonder how they
- 1:25:39Speaker 2: think about things like that when you talk about controlling
- 1:25:41Speaker 2: population and the other thing they're doing it.
- 1:25:42Speaker 4: For is because the resources of course.
- 1:25:44Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:25:44Speaker 2: Yeah, in America, we have three hundred and eighty million
- 1:25:46Speaker 2: people or so here and it's really not crowded. You
- 1:25:49Speaker 2: think it may be because you go to the big
- 1:25:50Speaker 2: cities like New York, Chicago, there's Dallas, Miami, and you're like, oh,
- 1:25:53Speaker 2: look at all these people. But you can also go
- 1:25:55Speaker 2: to Iowa, right, Yeah, The entire population of South Dakota
- 1:25:58Speaker 2: is less than Orlando. The entire population of North Dakota
- 1:26:02Speaker 2: is about the same as Orlando. A city, not a state,
- 1:26:05Speaker 2: and they're gigantic. So the Midwest is rife with land
- 1:26:09Speaker 2: that nobody wants to live in on because it's not
- 1:26:11Speaker 2: near anything. The weathers are tough. So theoretically, I mean,
- 1:26:15Speaker 2: we could put some people out there. We have land,
- 1:26:17Speaker 2: but that's the problem. Water's the problem, right, Yeah, And
- 1:26:20Speaker 2: you don't.
- 1:26:21Speaker 4: You can't force people to live there. And if, like
- 1:26:22Speaker 4: you said, there.
- 1:26:23Speaker 5: Nobody wants to live there, are we gonna like concentration camp?
- 1:26:26Speaker 4: It's eas here.
- 1:26:28Speaker 2: It says that the population reach nine and a half
- 1:26:30Speaker 2: million before then, the government would take steps to limit it,
- 1:26:32Speaker 2: such as through measures on asylum, family reunification, residency permit issuance,
- 1:26:38Speaker 2: and renegotiating international agreements. It says. The idea, proponents say
- 1:26:44Speaker 2: is to help protect the environment, natural resources, infrastructure, and
- 1:26:47Speaker 2: the social safety net from strains caused by population growth.
- 1:26:50Speaker 2: Is that the same as like arscal security? Is that
- 1:26:52Speaker 2: kind of what they're talking about. The ability to provide
- 1:26:55Speaker 2: maybe medical care or education or things like that, all
- 1:26:58Speaker 2: of it, Yeah.
- 1:26:59Speaker 4: All the resources that the government would be responsible for
- 1:27:03Speaker 4: providing citizens. Where does creating new life fall here, Because.
- 1:27:07Speaker 3: That's the part that gets real interesting, right.
- 1:27:09Speaker 5: Right, because if okay, let's say we're going to stop
- 1:27:11Speaker 5: letting people in, which makes sense that if you're in
- 1:27:13Speaker 5: a building and you reach capacity, no more people can
- 1:27:15Speaker 5: come in. But now we've opened in that club, I'm
- 1:27:18Speaker 5: going to I can't make a new a new person.
- 1:27:22Speaker 4: It doesn't really mention that.
- 1:27:23Speaker 2: It's his critics across most of the political spectrum say
- 1:27:26Speaker 2: that this is trying to oversimplify, oversimplify a very complex issue.
- 1:27:31Speaker 4: It is a complex issue. But their populations currently is
- 1:27:34Speaker 4: about nine million, yeah, right, and so it's managing what
- 1:27:38Speaker 4: your death rate is with what your birth rate is.
- 1:27:40Speaker 4: And maybe sometimes as you see other countries that just
- 1:27:45Speaker 4: want to grow without regard for world population because it
- 1:27:48Speaker 4: might help them and their you know, for whatever reason,
- 1:27:53Speaker 4: and they're offering incentives to have kids, maybe they de
- 1:27:57Speaker 4: incentivize it by having attacks.
- 1:27:59Speaker 2: And you know that China has done that, right, hasn't
- 1:28:01Speaker 2: China incentivized having children?
- 1:28:04Speaker 4: Well? Yeah, after they went after they first kind of
- 1:28:08Speaker 4: went the other way, yeah, yeah, by the eliminating the
- 1:28:11Speaker 4: other girls. Yeah, the one child policy. Yeah right, you know.
- 1:28:15Speaker 4: So it says they put.
- 1:28:16Speaker 2: It in here that Switzerland often relies on foreign workers
- 1:28:20Speaker 2: at hospitals, hotels, construction sites and universities, and any restrictions
- 1:28:24Speaker 2: on migration and free movement of people would violate existing
- 1:28:27Speaker 2: international commitments. Of course, that's one of the things we're
- 1:28:29Speaker 2: talking about renegotiating all together, right, And it says for
- 1:28:33Speaker 2: years the SVP, which is the political party, has sought
- 1:28:36Speaker 2: to curb immigrate or migration into the rich Alpine country,
- 1:28:39Speaker 2: but with limited success. So they tried something in twenty sixteen,
- 1:28:44Speaker 2: but it didn't really work out. Another twenty twenty pro
- 1:28:46Speaker 2: proposal to end free movement also failed at the ballot box.
- 1:28:50Speaker 2: My niece lives there in Switzerland. Yeah, really, yeah, she
- 1:28:53Speaker 2: like it. Yeah, she asked you it was one of
- 1:28:54Speaker 2: the best places. I think is that Geneva, Geneva. What
- 1:29:01Speaker 2: are the other big cities in sorts of mine? And
- 1:29:02Speaker 2: now I'm drawing a complete blank, but those are the
- 1:29:05Speaker 2: best if you look on the best places to live
- 1:29:07Speaker 2: and the most expensive places to live on Earth. I mean,
- 1:29:10Speaker 2: I think I think Switzerland has three of the top ten.
- 1:29:15Speaker 5: I could see why you would want to go there.
- 1:29:16Speaker 5: But if it's expensive, that that's a deterrent in itself.
- 1:29:19Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:29:19Speaker 2: And again, then do they even have a military because
- 1:29:21Speaker 2: they're like, you know, they're you know, obviously it's that
- 1:29:23Speaker 2: old running joke, right, Hello Swiss army knife.
- 1:29:27Speaker 5: Yeah, exactly, just a bunch of guys come on, Yeah,
- 1:29:32Speaker 5: a bunch of guys with a very complex knife.
- 1:29:35Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:29:36Speaker 4: I mean, I don't know.
- 1:29:37Speaker 2: Switzerland doesn't hit me as a site that goes hard
- 1:29:39Speaker 2: on their politics. But what's you mind?
- 1:29:43Speaker 4: Zurich, Geneva, Basil, Losin.
- 1:29:47Speaker 2: And burn yeah, Burns yeah, okay, yeah, yeah, And Zurich,
- 1:29:50Speaker 2: I believe, is the place that it's either it's either
- 1:29:52Speaker 2: Zurich or Geneva, that that is like one of the
- 1:29:55Speaker 2: best places to live in the entire world. Like everything
- 1:29:58Speaker 2: about it's great, it's just super expensive, all right. For
- 1:30:03Speaker 2: seven nine one text us at seven seven zero three one.
- 1:30:07Speaker 4: Have you planned your international trip yet? No, I haven't
- 1:30:10Speaker 4: done it.
- 1:30:10Speaker 2: You've been have you been on the States? But you've
- 1:30:12Speaker 2: been to Europe.
- 1:30:13Speaker 5: I've been to Amsterdam for a couple a couple of
- 1:30:15Speaker 5: days for a radio trip.
- 1:30:16Speaker 4: Yeah, and that's it. We're going.
- 1:30:18Speaker 5: We're going to Europe in September. My wife and I
- 1:30:21Speaker 5: are you for our first time. She's never been where you.
- 1:30:23Speaker 5: We're flying out of here and into London. We're going
- 1:30:26Speaker 5: to train down to Amsterdam, make a few stops along
- 1:30:29Speaker 5: the way. We're going to go to Prague, okay, and
- 1:30:31Speaker 5: then over to Ireland and then back to London and
- 1:30:34Speaker 5: then home.
- 1:30:35Speaker 4: Oh damn. Really yeah, we're going like twelve days.
- 1:30:37Speaker 2: That's a wild because that's a lot of flying, right,
- 1:30:39Speaker 2: Maybe one isn't that bad?
- 1:30:40Speaker 5: Yeah, that's kind of what we want to go to Italy,
- 1:30:42Speaker 5: but that would be kind of far off the path,
- 1:30:43Speaker 5: so we're kind of staying in the little triangle a
- 1:30:46Speaker 5: little bit.
- 1:30:46Speaker 4: Ireland's probably the farthest off.
- 1:30:47Speaker 2: Are you doing a set tour like you bought it
- 1:30:50Speaker 2: from a Are you guys built the thing yourself?
- 1:30:52Speaker 5: Yeah, we're we're not really follow the tour type people,
- 1:30:55Speaker 5: So yeah, we're we're just gonna I've got friends in
- 1:30:58Speaker 5: some areas that are going to kind of direct us
- 1:31:00Speaker 5: a little bit.
- 1:31:00Speaker 4: Other than that, we're just going to figure it out.
- 1:31:01Speaker 2: We know one person in London, my daughter's boyfriend's family.
- 1:31:08Speaker 2: He has a sister that lives there, and uh again
- 1:31:11Speaker 2: that's another super expensive place to live. But yeah, but
- 1:31:13Speaker 2: you know again, it's weird. These guys want me to
- 1:31:15Speaker 2: go to go overseas. So bad Ross is dying to
- 1:31:17Speaker 2: have me go to Europe for some reason. He wants me,
- 1:31:19Speaker 2: he wants me to experience, and he thinks is going
- 1:31:21Speaker 2: to change my life for something.
- 1:31:22Speaker 4: Well, I'm a history nerd.
- 1:31:24Speaker 5: I mean, the United States is not that old, so
- 1:31:26Speaker 5: they're your history is limited so to me, Like, and
- 1:31:29Speaker 5: I was a fine arts major, so a lot of
- 1:31:31Speaker 5: the stuff that I studied was over there, so it'd
- 1:31:34Speaker 5: be kind of cool to go check out museums and stuff.
- 1:31:36Speaker 4: What travel does you kind of realize that we're all
- 1:31:39Speaker 4: the same, just different languages. I think the more people
- 1:31:42Speaker 4: that travel, the less you get situations like alternative halftime shows.
- 1:31:46Speaker 4: Oh really, who knows?
- 1:31:47Speaker 5: It's also like to me, like it shows you here
- 1:31:51Speaker 5: how just how young we are and we are still
- 1:31:54Speaker 5: figuring it out. So a lot of these these countries
- 1:31:56Speaker 5: have been established well longer than we have, and they've
- 1:32:00Speaker 5: on through their growing pains. Two hundred and fifty years
- 1:32:02Speaker 5: isn't that long we're going through ours?
- 1:32:03Speaker 11: Yeah?
- 1:32:03Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean they've been around for a thousand.
- 1:32:05Speaker 5: Years, right, And so Yeah, we're we're still going. So
- 1:32:07Speaker 5: that's the way I look at that. So we I
- 1:32:09Speaker 5: have a guy that I met that does radio in
- 1:32:12Speaker 5: the Isle of White in the UK.
- 1:32:14Speaker 4: What's his name? He does the morning show there.
- 1:32:16Speaker 5: Oh really, and so he's come here because he obviously
- 1:32:20Speaker 5: vacations here, and so that's how I met him through
- 1:32:22Speaker 5: our boss who's from the Isle of White, and so
- 1:32:25Speaker 5: we talked.
- 1:32:26Speaker 4: Back and forth.
- 1:32:26Speaker 5: When I go there, he's gonna take me around and
- 1:32:28Speaker 5: show me around there, really, which is pretty cool.
- 1:32:30Speaker 2: We have a get from Ireland that's the same thing.
- 1:32:32Speaker 2: Remember the guy Nile Boyling do. Yeah, Nile is a
- 1:32:35Speaker 2: far right, a far right talker in Ireland. And it's
- 1:32:40Speaker 2: wild how they do things over there. When it comes
- 1:32:42Speaker 2: to their television and stuff. You pay like a fee,
- 1:32:45Speaker 2: you pay a TV fee and a radio fee or
- 1:32:47Speaker 2: something like that. You have to buy a license or
- 1:32:49Speaker 2: something to be able to watch television and rest of
- 1:32:51Speaker 2: the radio. Yes, bananas man, he was gonna tell me
- 1:32:53Speaker 2: how it's set up, and it's kind of wild. And
- 1:32:56Speaker 2: then Holly, what they're able to do and talk about,
- 1:32:58Speaker 2: and how they have to go to breaks and stuff
- 1:33:00Speaker 2: and how they have to cover you know, clients and things.
- 1:33:03Speaker 4: It's so different.
- 1:33:04Speaker 2: Than you know, what we do here in America.
- 1:33:06Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, really unique.
- 1:33:08Speaker 2: And I hear Ireland's beautiful and again it's I heard,
- 1:33:10Speaker 2: it's real easy to get to and the people love Americans.
- 1:33:13Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:33:13Speaker 5: I did the little twenty three and Meion found out
- 1:33:15Speaker 5: that's what I'm most is Irish. I want to go
- 1:33:17Speaker 5: check it out because I don't know. I don't know
- 1:33:18Speaker 5: about the tracks, a lot about my family.
- 1:33:20Speaker 2: Yeah, so you don't know.
- 1:33:21Speaker 5: My dad left when I was five, and I don't
- 1:33:23Speaker 5: know much at all about his side, So.
- 1:33:25Speaker 2: Just never looked.
- 1:33:28Speaker 4: I mean, whatever you leave, dude, I just forget you.
- 1:33:31Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, yeah.
- 1:33:32Speaker 5: So I did the twenty three men found out that
- 1:33:34Speaker 5: I'm I'm mostly Irish.
- 1:33:35Speaker 4: I'm like, let's go check it out. At least at
- 1:33:37Speaker 4: least your son has a father figure in his life
- 1:33:39Speaker 4: he can look up too. Yeah, he gets in the situation.
- 1:33:42Speaker 2: Yeah, break the cycle, Jack and you went where again?
- 1:33:46Speaker 2: You went over? You've been there, but to Italy? Yeah, Italy.
- 1:33:48Speaker 4: Yeah. We went to Florence and up in Tuscany. Stayed there,
- 1:33:53Speaker 4: Yeah for a little bit.
- 1:33:53Speaker 2: Florence beautiful. Oh yeah, I heard it's the best place
- 1:33:57Speaker 2: there absolutely. Yeah, that's like when people go to Spain.
- 1:33:59Speaker 2: My my buddy said, Barcelona is like one of the
- 1:34:01Speaker 2: coolest places on Earth.
- 1:34:03Speaker 5: I've heard Spain's great. I have to make a separate
- 1:34:06Speaker 5: trip to Spain, right right right. My wife hates to fly,
- 1:34:08Speaker 5: so this is gonna be probably a one shot deal
- 1:34:10Speaker 5: for us.
- 1:34:10Speaker 4: Which is why we're hitting as many places as we can.
- 1:34:12Speaker 2: And we thought that, you know, everybody does the train thing,
- 1:34:15Speaker 2: but you can fly over there and do a cruise
- 1:34:16Speaker 2: up the river and do the same and see a
- 1:34:18Speaker 2: bunch of them as well. We've thought about doing that,
- 1:34:20Speaker 2: but I think I would want to go over via
- 1:34:23Speaker 2: airplane and then do the train thing. The only issue
- 1:34:26Speaker 2: with that is going from a hotel to hotel. We
- 1:34:28Speaker 2: did this one time up in Canada, and it was
- 1:34:30Speaker 2: a pain in the ass, dude, Like staying one night
- 1:34:35Speaker 2: one place, one night another place, and moving around just
- 1:34:38Speaker 2: because you're trying to see as much as possible. What
- 1:34:40Speaker 2: a pain in the ass. The cruise ship allows you
- 1:34:43Speaker 2: to hop off, go tour for twelve hours, come back
- 1:34:45Speaker 2: and all your stuff's there.
- 1:34:46Speaker 4: I've got a couple of trips on my list. One
- 1:34:48Speaker 4: is Hawaii, the other one is to do a European
- 1:34:51Speaker 4: river cruise.
- 1:34:52Speaker 2: Yeah, where you can, but not on the Viking boat.
- 1:34:55Speaker 2: Now that's the thing is you can't do it. Well,
- 1:34:57Speaker 2: I can't say you can't. The Viking boats are basically
- 1:34:59Speaker 2: just floating hotels that offer no nothing to do on
- 1:35:03Speaker 2: the boat.
- 1:35:03Speaker 4: Right when they say it's for the thinking man, I go,
- 1:35:06Speaker 4: that's not me. That's not me. I want to go.
- 1:35:09Speaker 4: I want to I want to one of those wave
- 1:35:10Speaker 4: runner things.
- 1:35:11Speaker 5: Right, yeah, the drinking man, drinking drinking man, that's me.
- 1:35:17Speaker 2: I just want a cruise ship to stop so I
- 1:35:19Speaker 2: can go back. Like the cool thing about being on
- 1:35:20Speaker 2: one of those things when you go anywhere, you can
- 1:35:22Speaker 2: hop off and come back on. We could go off going,
- 1:35:24Speaker 2: go in for a couple of hours, come back, take
- 1:35:26Speaker 2: a shower and nap, go back out again.
- 1:35:27Speaker 4: Brian, tell our boy how many cruises you've been Probably,
- 1:35:30Speaker 4: I know he does.
- 1:35:31Speaker 5: It's probably up to close like fifty sixty at this point,
- 1:35:34Speaker 5: maybe more.
- 1:35:35Speaker 2: Dude, Really, isn't that? I think we probably have. We
- 1:35:37Speaker 2: probably have twenty five. Yeah, I mean we probably have
- 1:35:39Speaker 2: twenty five of them.
- 1:35:40Speaker 5: If we been on celebrity yet have not, dude, one
- 1:35:42Speaker 5: of the one of the ones we did love. We
- 1:35:44Speaker 5: did Bermuda and Bermuda you dock and stay for three
- 1:35:47Speaker 5: or four days.
- 1:35:48Speaker 2: That's because it's so far out and so you you
- 1:35:50Speaker 2: do get it.
- 1:35:50Speaker 4: It is like a floating hotel.
- 1:35:51Speaker 5: You get off, get on, but they have all the
- 1:35:53Speaker 5: amenities because it's it's a Norwegian cruise line, right, but
- 1:35:57Speaker 5: you stay in port and so like you can you
- 1:36:00Speaker 5: get off in the morning, go come back, take a shower,
- 1:36:02Speaker 5: go back, and then come back in the middle of
- 1:36:03Speaker 5: the night, right.
- 1:36:04Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:36:04Speaker 4: And it was awesome we have That was one of
- 1:36:05Speaker 4: our favorites.
- 1:36:06Speaker 2: I think some of the European cruises do the same thing,
- 1:36:08Speaker 2: like when you get to the real hot spots and
- 1:36:10Speaker 2: I can't remember what is the the on the Spanish
- 1:36:14Speaker 2: christ we all the real colorful houses on that cliff
- 1:36:17Speaker 2: there maybe yeh. I think it's Tanterini or something like that.
- 1:36:21Speaker 2: I think those are places like when they go on
- 1:36:23Speaker 2: this cruises, they'll stay a full day in there. Yeah,
- 1:36:25Speaker 2: so you can go out and enjoy a restaurant or
- 1:36:27Speaker 2: something like that.
- 1:36:27Speaker 4: That's kind of cool. That's what I'm into. Brian, talk
- 1:36:29Speaker 4: to me because I have a cruise coming up and
- 1:36:31Speaker 4: I'm wondering what to do. Do you do the drink
- 1:36:33Speaker 4: package and do you do the Wi Fi package? Yes?
- 1:36:36Speaker 4: And yes, Okay, WiFi is totally up.
- 1:36:38Speaker 5: To you if you'll get your money out of it.
- 1:36:40Speaker 5: That's how much you want to be on Wi Fi, and.
- 1:36:42Speaker 4: It's how much do I want to work while I'm
- 1:36:44Speaker 4: on min You won't you.
- 1:36:45Speaker 5: Won't out drink the drink package. If you try to
- 1:36:48Speaker 5: be like, I'm not gonna do it, We've done it.
- 1:36:50Speaker 5: We've done it both ways because we were like, we're
- 1:36:51Speaker 5: not paying for this drink package, and then we left
- 1:36:53Speaker 5: with paying probably three times more than we would have
- 1:36:56Speaker 5: if we paid for the drink But my wife and
- 1:36:57Speaker 5: I are drinkers.
- 1:36:58Speaker 2: Yeah, And the thing is with the drinkage too, you know.
- 1:37:01Speaker 2: Now it used to be where like, well I'm getting
- 1:37:03Speaker 2: the drink package, they'll give you like a thing. But
- 1:37:05Speaker 2: if you stay in the same cabin, both people have
- 1:37:07Speaker 2: to buy the drink package. You do not have a
- 1:37:09Speaker 2: choice anymore, even if they don't drink, even if they
- 1:37:11Speaker 2: don't put your noise out.
- 1:37:12Speaker 4: Because I'm not spending eight hundred and forty dollars so
- 1:37:15Speaker 4: I can have a drink package right right, I'd rather
- 1:37:17Speaker 4: limit my drinking. What cruise line are you going on?
- 1:37:20Speaker 2: Holl In America?
- 1:37:21Speaker 4: Okase, I don't know their their drink package rules. Well,
- 1:37:23Speaker 4: I do know what you do have to buy. What
- 1:37:26Speaker 4: you buy from one member of the cabin, you have
- 1:37:28Speaker 4: to do for both.
- 1:37:28Speaker 5: You used to be able to get to get out
- 1:37:31Speaker 5: of that with like a letter, but I think pretty
- 1:37:33Speaker 5: much everyone squash.
- 1:37:34Speaker 4: She even said if the other person does not drink
- 1:37:37Speaker 4: at all, you still have to buy it.
- 1:37:38Speaker 2: Yeah. The best thing you could do is actually put
- 1:37:40Speaker 2: your wife in the room with the other kids and
- 1:37:42Speaker 2: book the room for yourself then and then have her stay.
- 1:37:45Speaker 2: Don't think I didn't think about that. Yeah, they do.
- 1:37:48Speaker 2: They have a workaround for that. Yeah, do they exactly what.
- 1:37:52Speaker 5: We've done that before we put we have booked cabins
- 1:37:54Speaker 5: and then moved all the kids into the one.
- 1:37:56Speaker 4: Yeah, but I can bring each person can bring a
- 1:38:00Speaker 4: seven fifty bottle of wine.
- 1:38:02Speaker 2: Not alcohol problem, but wine.
- 1:38:04Speaker 4: As far as they know, I'm not a wine drinker,
- 1:38:06Speaker 4: so I need I might need guidance between now and
- 1:38:08Speaker 4: then I need to start drinking wine.
- 1:38:11Speaker 2: The guidances is find yourself an empty wine bottle, fill
- 1:38:13Speaker 2: that so much up with your favorite liquor and then
- 1:38:15Speaker 2: steal it and then cork it and seal it. Yeah,
- 1:38:17Speaker 2: and you can do that.
- 1:38:18Speaker 4: Yeah, that's the trick, all right.
- 1:38:19Speaker 2: Four seven nine text us at seven seven zero three one.
- 1:38:22Speaker 2: Lot them up, guys, Trivia's next. Do you want to
- 1:38:25Speaker 2: play a game?

- 1:38:50Speaker 4: Guys from Duva?
- 1:38:53Speaker 14: A couple years ago, we went to the state fair
- 1:38:55Speaker 14: in Dublin, Georgia.
- 1:38:56Speaker 4: I don't know if you ever been to a state fair.
- 1:38:58Speaker 3: In Dublin, Georgia, but it's a little different than other
- 1:39:00Speaker 3: state fairs.
- 1:39:01Speaker 4: Uh.
- 1:39:02Speaker 2: They had a thing.
- 1:39:03Speaker 4: I had a meatball, a piece of spam, a hot.
- 1:39:06Speaker 11: Dog and a ravioli all on the same stick and
- 1:39:09Speaker 11: deep fried and then smothered with Alfredo saut Jesus and
- 1:39:13Speaker 11: your boy had two of them.
- 1:39:15Speaker 3: So I guess I'll be going to.

- 1:41:23Speaker 4: the opening day there. Actually it goes on from March
- 1:41:27Speaker 4: second through the eighth, but the action is that the
- 1:41:29Speaker 4: proaction is happening on the fifth.
- 1:41:31Speaker 2: Yeah, the first round is Thursday.
- 1:41:32Speaker 4: Yeah, promo on Wednesday, so you are there for that

- 1:41:51Speaker 4: nine by Briggs and Riley. It's so much fun. You
- 1:41:54Speaker 4: want tickets Arnold Palmer Invitational dot com.
- 1:41:56Speaker 2: I'll tell you something, you know. Don't sleep on the
- 1:41:58Speaker 2: Thursday Friday round and I'll tell you why because in
- 1:42:01Speaker 2: the PGA Tour they make it well. I don't know
- 1:42:02Speaker 2: if they do this for an invitational though, I need
- 1:42:04Speaker 2: to check myself on this, but they used to make
- 1:42:06Speaker 2: a cut. So if you had somebody you like to
- 1:42:08Speaker 2: watch play and they didn't make the cut, they didn't
- 1:42:10Speaker 2: play well on Thursday and Friday. You can't see him
- 1:42:12Speaker 2: on Saturday and Sundawn. Plus the crowds are way less.
- 1:42:15Speaker 2: Thursday Friday I think are the best days to go
- 1:42:18Speaker 2: because Saturday and Sunday gets really crowded. You still get
- 1:42:20Speaker 2: the vibe of the action because those are the days
- 1:42:23Speaker 2: it's decided. And man, if you just want to go
- 1:42:24Speaker 2: out there and check it out for the first time,
- 1:42:26Speaker 2: I strongly suggest a Thursday or Friday ticket if you
- 1:42:29Speaker 2: could pull it off, because you do get to see
- 1:42:30Speaker 2: a lot because there's a lot fewer people there before
- 1:42:33Speaker 2: the weekend. I've been a couple of times. It's fun.
- 1:42:34Speaker 2: It is a lot of fun for sure, all right, Brian, one, two, three,
- 1:42:37Speaker 2: four or five?
- 1:42:38Speaker 4: We're going with four? Going with four?
- 1:42:39Speaker 2: That is, Josh, Josh, how you doing I'm doing fantastic.
- 1:42:44Speaker 13: How are you doing?
- 1:42:45Speaker 8: Good?
- 1:42:45Speaker 2: Buddy? Want to play a little game with us?
- 1:42:47Speaker 4: Yeah, let's do it.
- 1:42:48Speaker 2: Let's do it.
- 1:42:49Speaker 1: Indeed, now you can put a lifetime of research to
- 1:42:52Speaker 1: work and maybe win a price.
- 1:42:54Speaker 4: It's time for pick the pull now.
- 1:42:56Speaker 2: Look, Jack, I gotta tell you that you talk to me.
- 1:42:57Speaker 2: I dipped on pit the porn this week. Deb's out
- 1:43:00Speaker 2: here and I can't make her uncomfortable. And she's the
- 1:43:04Speaker 2: only reason I like doing the bit anymore is because
- 1:43:06Speaker 2: she laughs at the porn movies and she's not here.
- 1:43:09Speaker 2: I get it. I feel i feel like I'm doing
- 1:43:12Speaker 2: her wrong by doing it without her here.
- 1:43:14Speaker 4: You're cheating, so cheating on here your porn partner.
- 1:43:17Speaker 2: So today, Josh, we're just doing a regular trivia question.
- 1:43:21Speaker 2: Are you ready?
- 1:43:23Speaker 4: All right, buddy? Here we go.
- 1:43:24Speaker 2: On this day in nineteen seventy just outside of New Deli,
- 1:43:28Speaker 2: a man eating tiger kills forty eight people. Here are
- 1:43:34Speaker 2: three fun facts about tigers and one striped line. All right,
- 1:43:37Speaker 2: but we're talking about tigers here. Which one of these
- 1:43:40Speaker 2: is not true? Number one, A tiger's stripes are not
- 1:43:43Speaker 2: only on a tiger's fur, they're also on their skin
- 1:43:46Speaker 2: as well. Number two, A tiger's urine is said to
- 1:43:50Speaker 2: smell like buttered popcorn. Number three much like human fingerprints.
- 1:43:55Speaker 2: No Two tigers have the same stripe patterns. Or Lastly,
- 1:43:59Speaker 2: a group of tigers is called a leap of tigers.
- 1:44:02Speaker 2: Which of those is a lie? Let's go the last one. God,
- 1:44:07Speaker 2: dang it, he got me again. Oh my god, almighty,
- 1:44:11Speaker 2: you win. But you're a winner.
- 1:44:12Speaker 4: Good job. I'm gonna put him on hold.
- 1:44:15Speaker 2: Man that it kills me. This week, I've had the
- 1:44:17Speaker 2: worst week of people just guessing the right answer on
- 1:44:19Speaker 2: the first time. And there's some weeks I'll go and
- 1:44:21Speaker 2: I'll go to the fourth one every single day. But man,
- 1:44:23Speaker 2: he got it right off the bat. What do you
- 1:44:24Speaker 2: think a group of tigers is called because it's not
- 1:44:28Speaker 2: a pride. No, it's not a pride. It could have
- 1:44:30Speaker 2: been a crush. Yeah no, yeah, no, pack, a council,
- 1:44:36Speaker 2: a whole council.
- 1:44:38Speaker 4: No, it's not.
- 1:44:38Speaker 2: It's a streak or an ambush of tigers.
- 1:44:41Speaker 4: That's stupid. Who's doing this? Yeah, we're always sitting around
- 1:44:44Speaker 4: coming up with it. That sounds pretty menacing.
- 1:44:47Speaker 2: Yeah, tiger stripes are not only on a tiger's fur,
- 1:44:50Speaker 2: they're actually on the skin as well.
- 1:44:53Speaker 4: Yeah, I knew that one, all right.
- 1:44:54Speaker 2: A tiger's urine is said to smell like buttered popcorn.
- 1:44:57Speaker 2: How do you choose the last one over that one?
- 1:45:00Speaker 4: Because I didn't think you'd make up but it. I
- 1:45:02Speaker 4: was leaning towards buttered popcorn, and I'm like, that's so bizarre.
- 1:45:07Speaker 4: I would have left that in knowing people would go
- 1:45:09Speaker 4: for it. And then the leap, I'm like, I've never
- 1:45:11Speaker 4: heard of le reverse theory, much like human fingerprints. No,
- 1:45:15Speaker 4: two tigers have the same stripe patterns. That is absolutely true.
- 1:45:18Speaker 4: And heard it a couple other things before we get
- 1:45:20Speaker 4: to the top of the hour. Tiger cubs are born
- 1:45:24Speaker 4: asexual game blind. They're born.
- 1:45:34Speaker 2: Tigers. A tiger saliva is antiseptic. So when you see
- 1:45:38Speaker 2: a tiger licking its wounds or whatever, it's actually healing
- 1:45:41Speaker 2: itself because it's saliva serves as an antiseptic to keep
- 1:45:44Speaker 2: the wound from getting infected. Tigers are strong swimmers, very
- 1:45:49Speaker 2: strong actually, and have been known to swim up to
- 1:45:52Speaker 2: how long in length they are tying in length. They've
- 1:45:56Speaker 2: actually seen a tiger swim this far two miles.
- 1:46:00Speaker 4: I'll go a quarter of a mile.
- 1:46:02Speaker 2: Three miles, went the wrong way, and then lastly here, Oh,
- 1:46:05Speaker 2: that's it an tigers stripe thing. Anyway, there's tigers. Got
- 1:46:08Speaker 2: that's such a bummer. I really wanted to go at
- 1:46:10Speaker 2: least one more today, centily all right, so the other callers, yeah,
- 1:46:14Speaker 2: really right, all right for seven nine four one text
- 1:46:18Speaker 2: us at seven seven zero three one. Something happened at
- 1:46:21Speaker 2: the super Bowl and then it un happened, and it
- 1:46:24Speaker 2: is kind of a funny bounce back. The great thing
- 1:46:27Speaker 2: about America now, and the great thing about social media
- 1:46:30Speaker 2: is feedback. We'll let you know immediately how people feel
- 1:46:33Speaker 2: about something, and they did, and I'll tell you what
- 1:46:36Speaker 2: that is next.
- 1:46:42Speaker 4: You're listening to the Jim Colbert Show.
- 1:46:57Speaker 8: Fall for more and gotta tell you man like tuned
- 1:47:00Speaker 8: in the months of the morning and new summer, and
- 1:47:03Speaker 8: the beach was a loping, cracking and then nine oh
- 1:47:08Speaker 8: five five f sixteens flew over the house, blew the
- 1:47:14Speaker 8: cup of coffee coffee, yeah, right out of my hand,
- 1:47:18Speaker 8: and uh yeah, proceeded blow off the leaves on my
- 1:47:22Speaker 8: front porch.
- 1:47:23Speaker 2: Great show.
- 1:47:24Speaker 8: You guys have a blessed day.
- 1:47:25Speaker 2: Thank you, Budy, appreciate it.
- 1:47:27Speaker 4: Race weekend, that's right. Yeah, so they'll have a flyover,
- 1:47:30Speaker 4: I'm sure for Daytona five hundred this Sunday. Ross is
- 1:47:34Speaker 4: doing comedy tomorrow night. Out there in Daytona. He is
- 1:47:36Speaker 4: Rosspodgacomedy dot com tonight en tomorrow, canight end tomorrow.
- 1:47:40Speaker 2: Bert Kreischer is doing a show tomorrow. Yeah out there
- 1:47:43Speaker 2: Nybra guests. He's gotta be in town because he's the
- 1:47:45Speaker 2: grand Marshall for the race on Sunday.
- 1:47:48Speaker 4: Oh, I wonder if he'll be a special guest at
- 1:47:49Speaker 4: Bert's thing.
- 1:47:50Speaker 2: He actually could just fly into Daytona, which the airport's
- 1:47:53Speaker 2: right there, and probably skip over do it and then
- 1:47:55Speaker 2: skip the hell out of night out.
- 1:47:56Speaker 4: It's so convenient and frustrating when you are driving home
- 1:48:00Speaker 4: from the Daytona five hundred and you're stuck in that
- 1:48:03Speaker 4: traffic just watching all those private jets take off.
- 1:48:06Speaker 2: The worst traffic I've ever been in in my life
- 1:48:10Speaker 2: was coming back from Saint Augustine from a Valentine's Day weekend,
- 1:48:14Speaker 2: driving through there, not realizing the day ten of five
- 1:48:16Speaker 2: hundred was in town because it never was a race
- 1:48:18Speaker 2: guy and it was. It was so bad that there
- 1:48:21Speaker 2: were people playing pick up football in the median of
- 1:48:23Speaker 2: I four And I'm not joking, Like a couple of
- 1:48:25Speaker 2: guys got out and started to throw the football around,
- 1:48:27Speaker 2: and then other people just kind of go and they
- 1:48:29Speaker 2: started they had to pick up football game right there
- 1:48:31Speaker 2: in the medium. Your six o'clock keyword, his friend, FRII
- 1:48:34Speaker 2: E ND go to real radio dot FM and send
- 1:48:37Speaker 2: them on for your chance at a thousand bucks. Friend, guys,
- 1:48:39Speaker 2: that is your six o'clock keyword. Good luck.
- 1:48:41Speaker 4: We hope you win.
- 1:48:42Speaker 2: I'm Jim Bryan's here, hello, say, and so is Jack Yo.
- 1:48:46Speaker 4: Guys.
- 1:48:46Speaker 2: Imagine spending I don't like it all right, Imagine spending
- 1:48:51Speaker 2: seven and a half million dollars to tell people about
- 1:48:54Speaker 2: a product and then bailing on that product just ten
- 1:48:58Speaker 2: days later. Did you hear the story?
- 1:49:03Speaker 4: I think do you know? Because of the super the
- 1:49:05Speaker 4: reaction it played during the Super Bowl and the reaction
- 1:49:08Speaker 4: they got, they said, Okay, we're not doing this Amazon.
- 1:49:11Speaker 2: Ring Yeah, has terminated its partnership with police tech company
- 1:49:15Speaker 2: Flock Safety. And if you'll remember, they kind of rolled
- 1:49:18Speaker 2: out this thing called a search party. This is what
- 1:49:20Speaker 2: Ring did and they did this whole commercial. They paid
- 1:49:22Speaker 2: seven and a half eight million dollars for this commercial.
- 1:49:25Speaker 2: They tell you about this great new technology that I'm
- 1:49:27Speaker 2: sure in the boardroom sounded like a million dollars, Like,
- 1:49:30Speaker 2: who is it gonna want?
- 1:49:30Speaker 4: This?
- 1:49:31Speaker 8: Man?
- 1:49:31Speaker 2: The that thing was barely off the air, and social
- 1:49:35Speaker 2: media was like gnaw a player. That ain't never happening, dude,
- 1:49:38Speaker 2: You ain't never gonna use my house.
- 1:49:40Speaker 4: And my door as a as a as an information
- 1:49:42Speaker 4: gathering machine. No, under the premise of you know, and
- 1:49:46Speaker 4: maybe they're genuine, who knows, you know, lost pets. There
- 1:49:49Speaker 4: are so many lost pets every year, and you know,
- 1:49:53Speaker 4: by combining all the Ring cameras and technology to be
- 1:49:57Speaker 4: able to identify you know, animals, by that they've already
- 1:50:02Speaker 4: like rehobed or found homes for one pet a day,
- 1:50:06Speaker 4: so like three hundred pets or so they've this technology
- 1:50:09Speaker 4: has helped, you know, find for people. The thing they
- 1:50:13Speaker 4: have a short memory because they tried doing this a
- 1:50:16Speaker 4: couple of years ago. They said, Hey, we want people
- 1:50:18Speaker 4: to sign up so we can link your outdoor stuff
- 1:50:20Speaker 4: so if there's any you know your neighbor will help you.
- 1:50:23Speaker 4: You'll help your neighbor this and that. And everyone's like, nah,
- 1:50:27Speaker 4: I don't know this guy. They forgot that, and they
- 1:50:29Speaker 4: went they doubled down with this, and people were like, oh,
- 1:50:32Speaker 4: hell no.
- 1:50:33Speaker 5: Well, pets always wins everyone, and everyone always okay, pets,
- 1:50:37Speaker 5: I'm in.
- 1:50:37Speaker 4: You think I'll do whatever right this.
- 1:50:39Speaker 2: Time, says The partnership between Flock and Ring came into
- 1:50:42Speaker 2: scrutiny after Amazon Doorbell Company ran an adder in the
- 1:50:44Speaker 2: Super Bowl that's houted Search Party, which was a feature
- 1:50:47Speaker 2: that used AI to help locate lost pets. When a
- 1:50:50Speaker 2: user initiates the feature, it active activates a network of
- 1:50:53Speaker 2: participating Ring cameras, which scan footage for images resembling the
- 1:50:58Speaker 2: missing dog. The electron on a Frontier Foundation called the
- 1:51:01Speaker 2: feature a quote surveillance nightmare. Yeah, and it says a
- 1:51:06Speaker 2: flock meanwhile operating network of automated license plate readers.
- 1:51:10Speaker 4: That's where they get their word from it.
- 1:51:12Speaker 2: And and they sell that access to that software to
- 1:51:14Speaker 2: customers that include law enforcement agencies. They decided to cancel
- 1:51:18Speaker 2: the partnership because I don't know, if you looked at
- 1:51:21Speaker 2: social media after that happened, there wasn't one person goes,
- 1:51:25Speaker 2: you know what, I think, I like this idea. I
- 1:51:26Speaker 2: want to keep I want to make sure a spot
- 1:51:28Speaker 2: doesn't run away. Everybody's like, no, we're not doing that,
- 1:51:31Speaker 2: it says. Following a comprehensive review, we determined the planned
- 1:51:35Speaker 2: flock safety integration will require significantly more time and resources
- 1:51:39Speaker 2: than anticipated. Sure As a result, we made the joint
- 1:51:44Speaker 2: decision to cancel the planned integration.
- 1:51:48Speaker 5: As if they didn't do all of that research before
- 1:51:50Speaker 5: they decided to jesus super Bowl app.
- 1:51:53Speaker 2: Do you guys remember how much Amazon paid for Ring?
- 1:51:56Speaker 2: And I got to tell you, I think they I
- 1:51:58Speaker 2: think they got a I think they got a really
- 1:52:00Speaker 2: good deal. I mean it was a lot. Twenty eighteen,
- 1:52:02Speaker 2: they bought them for eight hundred and thirty nine million
- 1:52:04Speaker 2: dollars and almost everything worth Anything that's a good idea
- 1:52:08Speaker 2: these days seems to be worth a billion dollars, right, Yeah,
- 1:52:10Speaker 2: like anything, any okay idea? Like I look at I'll
- 1:52:14Speaker 2: read during the day and I was like, oh yeah,
- 1:52:16Speaker 2: this website just got purchased by another big website for
- 1:52:18Speaker 2: you know, one point seven billion. I'm like, never heard
- 1:52:20Speaker 2: of either one of them, right, but they have a
- 1:52:21Speaker 2: billion and a half dollars to spend like whimsy. Yeah,
- 1:52:24Speaker 2: no problem at all, all right, four oh seven nine
- 1:52:27Speaker 2: one six one four one. You can always text us
- 1:52:29Speaker 2: again seven seven zero three one. So the other thing
- 1:52:33Speaker 2: I wanted to talk to you guys about. Have you
- 1:52:34Speaker 2: seen this deep fake video of Brad Pitt and Tom
- 1:52:39Speaker 2: Cruise fighting.
- 1:52:40Speaker 4: Yeah, I didn't watch the whole thing, but I've seen
- 1:52:41Speaker 4: clips of it.
- 1:52:42Speaker 2: Jack bring it up on your on the YouTube thing
- 1:52:44Speaker 2: here if you don't mind. If you want to go
- 1:52:46Speaker 2: over to real Radio dot FM slash watch, Jack will
- 1:52:50Speaker 2: bring it up on our computer here and you can
- 1:52:52Speaker 2: check it out the YouTube feed. Instead of a Marty Gral,
- 1:52:54Speaker 2: dirty ass Marty Gral, we can watch this and I'll
- 1:52:56Speaker 2: tell you the story, so live webcam. I'm from New Orleans. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:53:02Speaker 2: I can smell it literally smell it through the camera.
- 1:53:06Speaker 2: It doesn't look that crowded.
- 1:53:08Speaker 4: Yeah, I was thinking maybe because it is like Friday early.
- 1:53:11Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't know, dude, it should be packed.
- 1:53:12Speaker 4: Yeah. I think it's gonna be sick tomorrow though. Yeah.
- 1:53:15Speaker 4: Oh yeah, I've been once and it was a mess.
- 1:53:16Speaker 4: So does that mean a fat Tuesday? Is this upcoming Tuesday?
- 1:53:20Speaker 11: Nash?
- 1:53:20Speaker 4: Wednesday is the day after? Yeah, yeah, got to go
- 1:53:23Speaker 4: to church. Yeah.
- 1:53:25Speaker 2: Did you find that video? By any chance? I got it? Yeah,
- 1:53:27Speaker 2: bring it up on the thing there. I want to show.
- 1:53:28Speaker 2: So what what the deal is? Is this the this
- 1:53:31Speaker 2: is the I don't think you can turn it out either,
- 1:53:34Speaker 2: because I think there's some cursing in it. But if
- 1:53:38Speaker 2: you go back to the video, one of the one
- 1:53:40Speaker 2: of the things that the story said, it says we're cooked,
- 1:53:44Speaker 2: and it said this is a this is a scene
- 1:53:46Speaker 2: of Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt fighting and they put in. Yeah,
- 1:53:52Speaker 2: you can't turn it up because I think there's some cursing.
- 1:53:54Speaker 2: But they're talking about fighting over the Epstein files. Why
- 1:53:57Speaker 2: one didn't turn the other one in or something. But
- 1:53:59Speaker 2: look at how good that is. That's pretty amazing, right, Yeah,
- 1:54:03Speaker 2: So in Hollywood, Like when they saw that, the guy
- 1:54:05Speaker 2: who wrote the story goes, we're cooked. Like if it's
- 1:54:07Speaker 2: that good and we're here now, I mean, what's going
- 1:54:10Speaker 2: to stop people or studios from enlisting that? And Star's
- 1:54:14Speaker 2: just going, yeah, sure, just buy my likeness. I don't
- 1:54:15Speaker 2: want to spend thirty days in Bangladesh shooting another movie
- 1:54:18Speaker 2: or hanging from a chopper.
- 1:54:20Speaker 4: This is why they had a strike, and that's exactly
- 1:54:23Speaker 4: they were fighting over their rights when it comes to
- 1:54:26Speaker 4: you know, the digital image.
- 1:54:28Speaker 2: And when you look at how good that is, I mean,
- 1:54:29Speaker 2: it looks exactly like them. If you didn't know that
- 1:54:33Speaker 2: was Ai and you saw that as a trailer for
- 1:54:35Speaker 2: a new movie, it would be very difficult to find
- 1:54:38Speaker 2: out if that was true or not. Yeah, I mean
- 1:54:40Speaker 2: would you agree with that?
- 1:54:41Speaker 5: Yeah, So it really will depend on, like what Jimmy said,
- 1:54:43Speaker 5: if they decide to license themselves, because that is why
- 1:54:45Speaker 5: they were on strike, because they didn't want.
- 1:54:48Speaker 4: You just to have access.
- 1:54:49Speaker 5: But to Jimmy's point, if I'm Tom Cruise and I'm like, mah,
- 1:54:52Speaker 5: go ahead for how much ten million?
- 1:54:53Speaker 4: Yeah iyah, because guess what he can make movies forever now. Yeah,
- 1:54:58Speaker 4: And by the way.
- 1:54:59Speaker 2: I do believe that this is going to be a
- 1:55:01Speaker 2: licensing issue. I mean, not a nightmare, but I think
- 1:55:03Speaker 2: the contracts that you will see with major players that
- 1:55:07Speaker 2: have made and the cool thing is, I don't think
- 1:55:09Speaker 2: they're going to be able to go back. I think
- 1:55:12Speaker 2: they can only use modern stars that are still alive
- 1:55:15Speaker 2: now and then build on that. Yes, right, And the
- 1:55:17Speaker 2: reason why, I mean they're showing a you know, Michael
- 1:55:20Speaker 2: Jackson doing like karate now with his dance moves. But
- 1:55:23Speaker 2: Bruce Lee was a very very very popular there. He
- 1:55:26Speaker 2: is there, right, so they could bring Bruce Lee back
- 1:55:29Speaker 2: and do karate movies and I think people would be like, Okay,
- 1:55:32Speaker 2: I'd watch that because Bruce Lee died early. He died
- 1:55:34Speaker 2: way before his time. But like I think that with
- 1:55:37Speaker 2: Cruz and Pitt and some of the other big stars now,
- 1:55:39Speaker 2: that those guys could make licensing deals and say, hey, Keithney,
- 1:55:43Speaker 2: just like I am now this age mid fifties, early sixties,
- 1:55:46Speaker 2: whatever it is, and as long as you don't put
- 1:55:48Speaker 2: me in movies that have this, this, this, You can't
- 1:55:51Speaker 2: have me say this this or that. You can't have
- 1:55:53Speaker 2: me wear this, you can't have me go here and
- 1:55:56Speaker 2: just draw out a giant like contract of parameters that
- 1:55:59Speaker 2: tell you what you can't do with my likeness. Dude,
- 1:56:02Speaker 2: I gotta tell you, I don't. I don't know that
- 1:56:04Speaker 2: that's not coming.
- 1:56:05Speaker 5: And the bigger you are, the more demands you can
- 1:56:06Speaker 5: make sure to what I'm allowed to do, what I'm
- 1:56:08Speaker 5: not allowed. The thing about moving forward with that is
- 1:56:13Speaker 5: we would accept that with the Cruise and the Pit
- 1:56:15Speaker 5: because they've already built their characters who they are.
- 1:56:19Speaker 4: I wouldn't watch two people I didn't.
- 1:56:20Speaker 5: Know a AI fight or even a movie about it,
- 1:56:24Speaker 5: because I don't know who they are right right, right?
- 1:56:26Speaker 2: And would you accept AI doing something with a character
- 1:56:30Speaker 2: that you don't think they can do? And it's weird
- 1:56:33Speaker 2: because I mean you when you consider superhero movies. You know,
- 1:56:36Speaker 2: we know that Robert Downey Junior isn't Iron Man.
- 1:56:38Speaker 4: We spoiler alert.
- 1:56:41Speaker 2: We know that's not the case. But would you also
- 1:56:43Speaker 2: allow them to take Brad Pitt and put them in
- 1:56:45Speaker 2: a in a in a in a character or a
- 1:56:47Speaker 2: role that was so far out of the norm for
- 1:56:50Speaker 2: him that you wouldn't accept him in that role?
- 1:56:53Speaker 4: You see what I'm saying.
- 1:56:54Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean, I don't know why you wouldn't because
- 1:56:56Speaker 5: you know, like you've watched The Matrix.
- 1:56:58Speaker 4: None of that stuff's real.
- 1:57:00Speaker 5: None of the movies we watch are real unless it's
- 1:57:03Speaker 5: like based on a true story type movie.
- 1:57:05Speaker 4: And so why would it be different if you let
- 1:57:07Speaker 4: AI do it.
- 1:57:07Speaker 2: But the reason why I say that is this, because
- 1:57:10Speaker 2: that that is cool. But let's say Brad Pitt when
- 1:57:13Speaker 2: he does this, they have him as a heroin addict
- 1:57:15Speaker 2: dying behind a dumpster, you know, while it's raining and
- 1:57:18Speaker 2: you know, being picked at by rats. Yeah, you know
- 1:57:20Speaker 2: he doesn't want that.
- 1:57:21Speaker 5: Well he would he has the juice to say no
- 1:57:23Speaker 5: to that. Yeah, sure, but I would buy it if
- 1:57:25Speaker 5: if he did it. Like I've seen Brad Pitt. There's
- 1:57:28Speaker 5: a movie called older movie called California. Yeah, yeah, sure,
- 1:57:30Speaker 5: Brady right, and watching that you forget that's Brad Pitt
- 1:57:34Speaker 5: because he is like a white chash meth head. Yeah yeah,
- 1:57:38Speaker 5: but I mean if you made that AI right now
- 1:57:40Speaker 5: is Brad Pitt, I'd watch it again.
- 1:57:43Speaker 2: Would you watch a movie? Would you buy a ticket
- 1:57:45Speaker 2: to a movie that was all AI produced as long
- 1:57:47Speaker 2: as the people in the movie were licensed stars that
- 1:57:49Speaker 2: you knew, Yes you would.
- 1:57:51Speaker 4: I would.
- 1:57:52Speaker 2: Would you pay more the same amount or would you
- 1:57:53Speaker 2: expect to pay less for that?
- 1:57:55Speaker 4: No, I would. I would pay the same amount.
- 1:57:56Speaker 2: You would pay the same amount. Yeah, so you'd pay
- 1:57:58Speaker 2: twenty dollars to see a movie with real Brad Cruise
- 1:58:01Speaker 2: or Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise. You also spend twenty
- 1:58:04Speaker 2: dollars to see an AI Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise.
- 1:58:07Speaker 4: Yes, so, because to me, it's more about the story.
- 1:58:10Speaker 5: So I think that AI, while I know it has
- 1:58:13Speaker 5: like a lot of I guess had bad side effects
- 1:58:15Speaker 5: to it, I think one of the things that's going
- 1:58:17Speaker 5: to do is actually remove a barrier for good storytellers.
- 1:58:21Speaker 5: Because if I'm an author, I wrote a script, it's great,
- 1:58:24Speaker 5: I've got no way to get into somebody's hands, right,
- 1:58:27Speaker 5: But AI can make it. That removes that barrier for me,
- 1:58:32Speaker 5: whereas like getting a Tom Cruise or somebody in the
- 1:58:34Speaker 5: movie's gonna cost you a go zillion dollars.
- 1:58:37Speaker 2: Also, doesn't this really kind of take the studio out
- 1:58:39Speaker 2: of play? Because theoretically, if you have a powerful enough
- 1:58:42Speaker 2: computer and a great and an ability to prompt the
- 1:58:46Speaker 2: machine to do what you want, theoretically I could sit
- 1:58:49Speaker 2: there and dictate a movie into my computer. And AI
- 1:58:52Speaker 2: would make that movie for me, would it not?
- 1:58:54Speaker 5: Oh well, Elon Musk said that he thinks within three
- 1:58:59Speaker 5: years they will be able to generate a full Hollywood
- 1:59:02Speaker 5: quality two hour movie strictly AI off from prompts.
- 1:59:07Speaker 4: Right, because what you can do, you can just mind.
- 1:59:09Speaker 2: You get to build the scenes. That's what I'm saying
- 1:59:10Speaker 2: real quick, Jack, You coul build the scenes like you say, Okay,
- 1:59:12Speaker 2: we're gonna do a radio studio scene, and then you
- 1:59:15Speaker 2: go in and you write the prompt it's just that scene,
- 1:59:16Speaker 2: and then you just just start stitching the scenes together
- 1:59:20Speaker 2: while editing it.
- 1:59:21Speaker 4: Yeah, and the power required to do that is going
- 1:59:24Speaker 4: to be astronomical. Of course, our power bills are going
- 1:59:27Speaker 4: to go up through the roof. And now you have
- 1:59:30Speaker 4: a country that's no longer fighting climate change.
- 1:59:32Speaker 2: Yeah. Well let me tell you something else too. Now
- 1:59:34Speaker 2: we know for a fact that because Meta is already
- 1:59:37Speaker 2: negotiating right now, and we've talked about this before, which
- 1:59:40Speaker 2: is instead of giant nuclear plants, they're going to be
- 1:59:43Speaker 2: like pocket nuclear plants. Yeah, and Meta is actually trying
- 1:59:46Speaker 2: to negotiating. I think they're actually making some noise that
- 1:59:49Speaker 2: when they build this AI data center just for meta.
- 1:59:53Speaker 2: They are going to have their own nuclear power plant
- 1:59:56Speaker 2: just to power the data center because the power grid
- 1:59:59Speaker 2: in that area can support it.
- 2:00:00Speaker 4: It does not make enough.
- 2:00:02Speaker 2: Power to swore power for the data center and for
- 2:00:04Speaker 2: the neighborhoods.
- 2:00:05Speaker 4: Right, I think the future will be these smaller nuclear.
- 2:00:11Speaker 5: It doesn't take much to get people to jump off
- 2:00:13Speaker 5: the climate change thing. Bill Gates changed his mind real
- 2:00:15Speaker 5: quick when when he realized AI is the future and
- 2:00:19Speaker 5: Microsoft will become obsolete if we don't jump in the AI.
- 2:00:22Speaker 4: Fray suddenly didn't care so much. Yeah, I get part
- 2:00:25Speaker 4: of the fact that anyone's in the Epstein files, and
- 2:00:27Speaker 4: he didn't want to be. Really on the other side
- 2:00:29Speaker 4: of this administration, it seems like it's going to be cannibalistic.
- 2:00:32Speaker 4: It just seems like, I mean, you know, if you
- 2:00:34Speaker 4: think about it, once it becomes not the word isn't
- 2:00:37Speaker 4: once it becomes.
- 2:00:39Speaker 2: So available and so easy to prompt. I mean, your
- 2:00:43Speaker 2: doctorate isn't going to have any value anymore, isn't. Your
- 2:00:46Speaker 2: master's degree in business doesn't have any value anymore. Your
- 2:00:49Speaker 2: ability your specialized education now will be moot because anybody
- 2:00:53Speaker 2: that knows how to ask the machine how to do
- 2:00:55Speaker 2: it can do it.
- 2:00:56Speaker 4: You already see a younger generation kind of turning their
- 2:01:00Speaker 4: nose to it because of that reason. I think they
- 2:01:03Speaker 4: feel threatened by it, so they are searching for genuine, authentic,
- 2:01:07Speaker 4: organic experiences. And that might be you know, that desire
- 2:01:13Speaker 4: that there's always a backlash, right, It's like, yes, you
- 2:01:16Speaker 4: can see going in this direction, but the pendulum swings
- 2:01:19Speaker 4: and then it gets to a point where it's okay, too.
- 2:01:23Speaker 2: Much, too much, And I've heard those same reports. The
- 2:01:26Speaker 2: problem is those aren't the corporations that are incorporating AI
- 2:01:29Speaker 2: sure that are doing that. I mean, the people can go, look,
- 2:01:32Speaker 2: I'm not going to use it for my fun and entertainment,
- 2:01:34Speaker 2: but companies are using it to replace your job. Oh yeah, honey,
- 2:01:37Speaker 2: you could be an accountant for thirty five years and AI,
- 2:01:41Speaker 2: if you know how to prompt it, can do your
- 2:01:43Speaker 2: job immediately with no experience. It just knows how to
- 2:01:46Speaker 2: do it.
- 2:01:46Speaker 5: On the creative side, there will be a lot of
- 2:01:50Speaker 5: slop that isn't good and you're going to have to
- 2:01:52Speaker 5: cut through that with the good stuff. And that's so that,
- 2:01:54Speaker 5: but I mean that's just how movies are too. There's
- 2:01:56Speaker 5: a lot of bad movies that are made with real
- 2:01:58Speaker 5: people that you have to cut through as well.
- 2:02:01Speaker 2: Can you use AI to cut through AI slop? Oh,
- 2:02:03Speaker 2: get out of here with that.
- 2:02:04Speaker 4: They'll develop that eventually.
- 2:02:05Speaker 2: Well, remember there was blowback for CGI, and then all
- 2:02:08Speaker 2: of a sudden there wasn't blowback for CGI. Right then
- 2:02:10Speaker 2: everybody was like, oh, the CGI is so good, you
- 2:02:12Speaker 2: know all right? Four O seven nine one six four
- 2:02:14Speaker 2: one text us seven seven zero three one. Hey, guys,
- 2:02:17Speaker 2: don't forget your six o'clock keywords friend, that's f r
- 2:02:19Speaker 2: I E n D. Go to real radio dot fmn
- 2:02:22Speaker 2: S and that'll wait for your chance out of thousand
- 2:02:23Speaker 2: bucks back in a second with more than gym Colbert Show.
- 2:02:41Speaker 14: Hey, Jimmy, you really want to mess with AI? Tell
- 2:02:44Speaker 14: it your favorite recipe and then ask it what it
- 2:02:49Speaker 14: would taste like. They would only give you TV words
- 2:02:57Speaker 14: like himps of this and from that to all that stuff.
- 2:03:02Speaker 14: It can't tell you whether it's wonderful or not. M
- 2:03:06Speaker 14: So AI is garbage?
- 2:03:10Speaker 8: Hell, I.
- 2:03:12Speaker 2: Think it's garbage too, Mike. Yeah, all right, welcome back
- 2:03:15Speaker 2: to the JIF Corcio Real Radio one or four point one. Friend,
- 2:03:17Speaker 2: is your six o'clock keyword fr I E ind guys
- 2:03:20Speaker 2: go to real radio, doutfhim and send that up for
- 2:03:22Speaker 2: your chance of a thousand bucks. I'm Jim Brian Grimes here, Yes, sir,
- 2:03:26Speaker 2: so is Jackson?
- 2:03:27Speaker 4: Yes, yeah, I noticed that with the UH and Brian.
- 2:03:30Speaker 4: I don't know. Do you have a smart speaker in
- 2:03:31Speaker 4: your home Alexa or anything you do that? We do not.
- 2:03:34Speaker 4: We have one, but it is not connected. I do
- 2:03:36Speaker 4: not like it.
- 2:03:37Speaker 2: Yeah, okay, I would like you. Every time I meet you,
- 2:03:40Speaker 2: I like you way more. Yeah, there's crazy.
- 2:03:42Speaker 4: There's a lot of reasons not to like it. I
- 2:03:44Speaker 4: lean the note, I use it all the time. But
- 2:03:46Speaker 4: they they made an upgrade where it's more personable and
- 2:03:50Speaker 4: you know, the next level of AI. But it'll tell you, oh,
- 2:03:53Speaker 4: what's the weather today instead of just I have seventy two?
- 2:03:56Speaker 4: You know, you know low of fifty eight and you know,
- 2:03:59Speaker 4: partly cloude. These guys, it's, oh, it's going to be
- 2:04:01Speaker 4: a pleasant day today. We're to high about seventy two.
- 2:04:04Speaker 4: And it's definitely more conversational. My daughter challenges is that,
- 2:04:08Speaker 4: so you know, why do you call it pleasant? Do
- 2:04:11Speaker 4: you think it's pleasant? And you know and oh well
- 2:04:14Speaker 4: and then it'll apologize and they say would you prefer
- 2:04:17Speaker 4: me to like talk like this?
- 2:04:18Speaker 2: And it's like, yeah, I do not care for that. Look,
- 2:04:22Speaker 2: I saw I saw an Instagram account the other day
- 2:04:25Speaker 2: that that was the craziest AI thing I've seen so far. Right,
- 2:04:29Speaker 2: this guy does this. This is really interesting. He asks
- 2:04:33Speaker 2: it about the future of humanity in different contexts. In
- 2:04:37Speaker 2: other words, he asks it in the year twenty fifth
- 2:04:41Speaker 2: or in the year twenty five forty five, you know,
- 2:04:44Speaker 2: what will humanity be?
- 2:04:46Speaker 10: Like?
- 2:04:46Speaker 4: What will it be like?
- 2:04:47Speaker 2: Well, and he asks it all those questions and then
- 2:04:49Speaker 2: it answers. And when it answers, he goes, but why,
- 2:04:53Speaker 2: and then it'll answer and he'll go, yeah, but how,
- 2:04:56Speaker 2: and it'll answer it. And you're like, when you start
- 2:04:58Speaker 2: listening to it, you're like, this is insane, Like this
- 2:05:01Speaker 2: thing is trying to predict, based on what's happening right now,
- 2:05:04Speaker 2: what will happen in humanity. Yeah, and it is interesting.
- 2:05:10Speaker 2: I gotta find that account. I think you guys will
- 2:05:12Speaker 2: think it's hilarious. I mean not hilarious, but very interesting.
- 2:05:15Speaker 2: All of his videos are like two and a half
- 2:05:17Speaker 2: three minutes long, and I mean he it is. It's
- 2:05:20Speaker 2: nuts and he just asks it questions over and over
- 2:05:23Speaker 2: like that about the future of humanity, the future of technology,
- 2:05:26Speaker 2: where it thinks it's gonna go, what it thinks is
- 2:05:28Speaker 2: going to happen to Earth? You know, is the climate
- 2:05:31Speaker 2: stuff really there? I mean, based on the knowledge that
- 2:05:33Speaker 2: you have of the climate stuff, is it real?
- 2:05:35Speaker 4: What?
- 2:05:36Speaker 3: You know?
- 2:05:36Speaker 2: What are we looking for? What are we looking at
- 2:05:37Speaker 2: in one hundred and fifty two hundred years? And that
- 2:05:40Speaker 2: thing is telling you now again and you know it's AI.
- 2:05:42Speaker 2: It's just scanning all the information that we have out
- 2:05:45Speaker 2: there and it's kind of drawing a conclusion based on
- 2:05:47Speaker 2: that on your prompt but still kind of terrifying.
- 2:05:50Speaker 4: Hm hmm, yeah, yeah. So I like these stories. Don't
- 2:05:54Speaker 4: know about you guys. So uh.
- 2:05:56Speaker 2: A Slovak fugitive was on the run for sixteen years
- 2:06:03Speaker 2: and he finally got himself caught. He was forty he's
- 2:06:08Speaker 2: forty four years old. He'd been on the run and
- 2:06:10Speaker 2: wanted by Italian authorities for the thefts committed in twenty ten,
- 2:06:15Speaker 2: and he was able to stay low and not get
- 2:06:19Speaker 2: arrested for sixteen years. What do you guys think got
- 2:06:23Speaker 2: him caught?
- 2:06:27Speaker 4: Called home expired license tag.
- 2:06:29Speaker 2: He showed up the Olympics to to cheer on his
- 2:06:33Speaker 2: hockey team. That's exactly what happened. He showed up to
- 2:06:38Speaker 2: cheer on the hockey team and a forty four year
- 2:06:40Speaker 2: old man was taken into custody. They'd been looking for
- 2:06:43Speaker 2: him for sixteen years, and low and behold, he shows
- 2:06:47Speaker 2: up at a hockey game and they bust him. Was
- 2:06:51Speaker 2: he using his real ID? Was a facial recognition? What
- 2:06:54Speaker 2: I think it was? Facial recognition?
- 2:06:56Speaker 4: As sixteen years?
- 2:06:58Speaker 8: Then?
- 2:06:58Speaker 4: Yeah, sixteen years he said at four year old man,
- 2:07:00Speaker 4: not name, the eyes don't change as They managed to
- 2:07:04Speaker 4: track down and arrest a man Wednesday after he checked
- 2:07:07Speaker 4: into a campsite on the outskirts of Milan thanks to
- 2:07:09Speaker 4: an automatic alert from the camp site reception. The fugitive's
- 2:07:13Speaker 4: then taken the Milan's Sanbatory prison to serve the pending
- 2:07:16Speaker 4: sentence of eleven months seven days. I guess that's how
- 2:07:19Speaker 4: much he has left the well. The man did not
- 2:07:22Speaker 4: have managed to see the game. He was on the
- 2:07:26Speaker 4: run for sixteen years and he only had eleven months
- 2:07:29Speaker 4: left on the sentence. Yeah, and that's all they're attacking.
- 2:07:31Speaker 4: Got that he doesn't get a penalty for the sixteen
- 2:07:34Speaker 4: years he's been adrift.
- 2:07:35Speaker 2: He has to report to the prison to serve a
- 2:07:38Speaker 2: pending sentence of eleven months and seven days. And they
- 2:07:41Speaker 2: don't even they don't talk about like anything that he's
- 2:07:44Speaker 2: no penalty for being, Like, there's gonna come on, dude,
- 2:07:47Speaker 2: I know you got to wait for sixteen years, but
- 2:07:48Speaker 2: you going to jail now, come on back?
- 2:07:50Speaker 4: Did he not he didn't do anything wrong in those
- 2:07:52Speaker 4: sixteen years.
- 2:07:53Speaker 2: It doesn't say.
- 2:07:56Speaker 4: I'm rehabilitated.
- 2:07:57Speaker 2: Yeah, he was a thief. He committed a bunch of
- 2:08:00Speaker 2: of thefts in twenty ten.
- 2:08:01Speaker 4: Oh I have been I have a I have a
- 2:08:03Speaker 4: feeling there's been some thievery over those sixteen years.
- 2:08:06Speaker 2: Oh yeah, maybe so maybe a tiny bit. He's probably
- 2:08:09Speaker 2: gotten really good at any I hadn't been. Got Also,
- 2:08:12Speaker 2: I saw a story today it's a little sad that
- 2:08:14Speaker 2: I wanted to kind of go before we get out here.
- 2:08:15Speaker 2: Today it said there's a guy at CBS evening news story.
- 2:08:20Speaker 2: He's eighty seven years old and he had to take
- 2:08:22Speaker 2: a roommate because he couldn't afford his rent. And I
- 2:08:26Speaker 2: do know that a faction of younger people, you know,
- 2:08:31Speaker 2: maybe thirty five or younger, are starting to do this
- 2:08:35Speaker 2: they're starting to kind of open up parts of their
- 2:08:37Speaker 2: home or extra rooms to people to rent them out
- 2:08:40Speaker 2: for you so they can make their bills, so they
- 2:08:42Speaker 2: can pay for childcare and stuff like that.
- 2:08:44Speaker 4: Yeah, which is crazy. Yeah at eighty seven, that's not
- 2:08:49Speaker 4: the way it should go. No, it's not.
- 2:08:51Speaker 2: I mean, I couldn't imagine doing that. Though I don't
- 2:08:53Speaker 2: know that I could do that. I think I might
- 2:08:55Speaker 2: not have a choice. Yeah, that's what I'm saying is
- 2:08:57Speaker 2: I would try to. I would really try to figure
- 2:08:59Speaker 2: out anyway. I don't know if I could do that.
- 2:09:02Speaker 2: Have a roommate like that. I've had a roommate before
- 2:09:03Speaker 2: and it was not good. And it wasn't bad bad.
- 2:09:06Speaker 2: It wasn't like it was, but the person didn't have
- 2:09:09Speaker 2: like I will say this when Jackie's gonna freak out.
- 2:09:12Speaker 2: He was messy. What he was really messy. He would
- 2:09:16Speaker 2: like cook and just leave the dishes in the sink
- 2:09:20Speaker 2: and stuff. They come home to a disgusting kitchen. That
- 2:09:23Speaker 2: took about two times. And I knew this guy since
- 2:09:25Speaker 2: I was like fourteen years old. When I moved to Orlando,
- 2:09:27Speaker 2: I was like, you gotta go, dog.
- 2:09:29Speaker 4: Yeah, there are bad roommates, but they are also good roommates.
- 2:09:33Speaker 4: I had a roommate before, you know, I met my
- 2:09:36Speaker 4: wife and we got married. That he was great. Oh really,
- 2:09:38Speaker 4: we got along great. And you know he's like, is
- 2:09:41Speaker 4: this one and the one? I go yep. He goes,
- 2:09:43Speaker 4: all right, I'm moving him.
- 2:09:44Speaker 2: This guy says, yeah, he splits a two thousand monthly
- 2:09:46Speaker 2: rent for a five hundred square foot apartment with a
- 2:09:50Speaker 2: sixty nine year old biker who sleeps in the loft
- 2:09:53Speaker 2: of his five hundred square foot apartment. That's pretty small, right, yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 2:09:57Speaker 2: if I've been her, square foot's pretty small.
- 2:09:59Speaker 4: And that's a lot of for five hundred square feet.
- 2:10:01Speaker 2: He's in New York, Okay, yeah, yeah, Well.
- 2:10:03Speaker 5: I mean, well they would be your first I mean,
- 2:10:04Speaker 5: I guess at eighty seven maybe you don't want to
- 2:10:06Speaker 5: relocate it. But we talked earlier about the vast amount
- 2:10:09Speaker 5: of land available in Montana way less.
- 2:10:13Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, man, that's crazy. And it's funny because they
- 2:10:16Speaker 2: bring the story up to talk about this nonprofit called
- 2:10:18Speaker 2: the New York Foundation for Senior Citizens, which actually matches
- 2:10:22Speaker 2: up seniors looking for roommates. And one of the other
- 2:10:24Speaker 2: things kind of interesting about that there was a program
- 2:10:27Speaker 2: I read about a couple of years ago that was
- 2:10:29Speaker 2: just for that, because you know, as you kind of age,
- 2:10:32Speaker 2: maybe your spouse passes away. Yeah, and then there you
- 2:10:35Speaker 2: are by yourself. Your family has their lives, I mean,
- 2:10:38Speaker 2: and a lot of older people, especially from the forties
- 2:10:40Speaker 2: and fifties, do not want to be a burden to
- 2:10:43Speaker 2: their family. So they have that mentality where they would
- 2:10:46Speaker 2: rather just suffer than ask for help or be a
- 2:10:48Speaker 2: burden to somebody. And this company allows people like that
- 2:10:51Speaker 2: to find each other so they can have somebody because
- 2:10:53Speaker 2: that keeps you older. I mean that you know you're lonely,
- 2:10:55Speaker 2: it'll kill you.
- 2:10:56Speaker 4: I absolutely plan on burdening my son.
- 2:10:58Speaker 2: Oh do you really?
- 2:10:59Speaker 5: Oh well, he's been burdening me for twenty one years.
- 2:11:01Speaker 5: I absolutely planned on being a burden.
- 2:11:03Speaker 4: I told my kids too.
- 2:11:04Speaker 2: I said, there should be a rotating plan for all
- 2:11:07Speaker 2: four of you guys to make sure I have the
- 2:11:09Speaker 2: greatest life in the world when I get to the
- 2:11:11Speaker 2: point where I can't move around.
- 2:11:12Speaker 4: Yeah. And by the way, speaking of your son, this
- 2:11:14Speaker 4: would be right now the eight bit update time. However,
- 2:11:17Speaker 4: he is celebrating his twenty first birthday this weekend. Yeah,
- 2:11:21Speaker 4: Brian hooked his up. Yeah, is that Universal? Easy? Yeah?
- 2:11:24Speaker 5: I got him the tickets and everything so they can
- 2:11:27Speaker 5: go express past with his friend.
- 2:11:29Speaker 4: And oh nice, we're saying he had a hotel room. Yeah, yeah,
- 2:11:31Speaker 4: he staying at Universal.
- 2:11:32Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 2:11:33Speaker 4: Oh sweet.
- 2:11:34Speaker 2: What a player this guy is. Yeah yeah, what a
- 2:11:36Speaker 2: good old man.
- 2:11:37Speaker 4: I mean he only turned twenty one one time. Yeah,
- 2:11:39Speaker 4: this is true. Yeah.
- 2:11:40Speaker 2: I just give my kids concert tickets and then then
- 2:11:42Speaker 2: that's it. I don't think I don't get him anything
- 2:11:44Speaker 2: crazy like I have to come from the prize closet. Yeah,
- 2:11:46Speaker 2: we're not buying them.
- 2:11:47Speaker 4: And we're not right. Yeah, there's no way I'm doing that.
- 2:11:49Speaker 13: Well.
- 2:11:50Speaker 5: I could have gone to Universal, but instead I let
- 2:11:52Speaker 5: him go to Universal.
- 2:11:53Speaker 4: Is it that? Wait, that's right. You did your broadcast today?
- 2:11:56Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 2:11:56Speaker 4: Is it epic as well?
- 2:11:57Speaker 8: Or no?
- 2:11:57Speaker 4: Come on now, I'm not that good, not that good
- 2:11:59Speaker 4: of a dad. Have you been there yet?
- 2:12:00Speaker 3: No?
- 2:12:01Speaker 11: I have not.
- 2:12:01Speaker 4: Are you a ride guy, Yeah I am. My wife
- 2:12:04Speaker 4: is not. So it's kind of hard for us to.
- 2:12:05Speaker 2: Go the other way around with my with mine. My
- 2:12:07Speaker 2: wife loves him and I can't ride her.
- 2:12:09Speaker 5: So we should just go together and you can hang
- 2:12:11Speaker 5: out with my wife.
- 2:12:12Speaker 2: Ye, that's the greatest. I call myself I'm the purse
- 2:12:16Speaker 2: tree because when we go out, like I'll hold the
- 2:12:18Speaker 2: purses so that everybody you're gonna have fun on the ride.
- 2:12:21Speaker 2: I can't write any of the Mummy makes me mad.
- 2:12:23Speaker 4: Really, yeah, I can't do it, dude, Okay, it makes
- 2:12:26Speaker 4: me sick, you know.
- 2:12:26Speaker 2: I I have terrible motions.
- 2:12:28Speaker 4: In the loss. The coaster was awesome, is it? Man?
- 2:12:30Speaker 4: It's the smoothest ride in the world. That is definitely.
- 2:12:33Speaker 4: That is one of my favorites. And the new one
- 2:12:35Speaker 4: at Epic Universe start Us Racers. Oh, it's great, that's
- 2:12:39Speaker 4: what Ross says. The greatest is that star.
- 2:12:41Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 2:12:41Speaker 2: Yeah. But my wife likes the ones at Sea World.
- 2:12:43Speaker 2: She likes to crack in and oh yeah, mantas.
- 2:12:47Speaker 4: The other one, the new one pipeline where you stand up, Yeah,
- 2:12:49Speaker 4: she likes that one.
- 2:12:50Speaker 2: And she also, uh, she and my buddy Code Black
- 2:12:53Speaker 2: rode the Hulk four times in a row, and let
- 2:12:55Speaker 2: me tell you, after that fourth time, she got off
- 2:12:57Speaker 2: of it and said that was a bad decision.
- 2:13:00Speaker 4: I thought it was a bad decision. I did it
- 2:13:02Speaker 4: twice in a row once and I just I felt
- 2:13:04Speaker 4: concussed because that takeoff and it shakes your head, shake
- 2:13:09Speaker 4: your head, and I did.
- 2:13:10Speaker 2: After twice, I'm like, I feel like I got hit,
- 2:13:14Speaker 2: and it was just like, I'm no, I'm not doing that. Yeah.
- 2:13:16Speaker 2: Code Black had to sit down for like fifteen minutes,
- 2:13:18Speaker 2: and dude, that guy love stuff like that. You could
- 2:13:20Speaker 2: put his ass in a dryer, he'd be fine with it.
- 2:13:23Speaker 2: But he had to come out and they both had
- 2:13:24Speaker 2: to take a seat for about like twenty thirty minutes,
- 2:13:26Speaker 2: get some water and stuff to be able to kind
- 2:13:28Speaker 2: of recoup. I said, why would you do that to yourself?
- 2:13:30Speaker 2: That's fun, that's fun to you guys.
- 2:13:32Speaker 5: Well, the fourth time was probably excessive. The first three
- 2:13:35Speaker 5: were probably awesome.
- 2:13:38Speaker 13: Yeah.
- 2:13:38Speaker 2: I don't write any of that stuff.
- 2:13:39Speaker 4: Yeah, I to you write for this. This is gonna
- 2:13:41Speaker 4: kill you. This is the truth.
- 2:13:42Speaker 2: Actually, as I've gotten older, the whole motion sickness thing
- 2:13:45Speaker 2: has gotten better. I remember going to Disney as a kid,
- 2:13:48Speaker 2: one of the only times I went, and I almost
- 2:13:50Speaker 2: got sick watching the teacups, just watching him go around.
- 2:13:55Speaker 2: It almost made me sick to my stomach. That's how
- 2:13:57Speaker 2: bad it's just because of what it is. I projected
- 2:13:59Speaker 2: myself into the cup and I'm like, I can't do that.
- 2:14:01Speaker 4: Yeah, I don't do the spinning stuff too much. I
- 2:14:04Speaker 4: thought you're fast. Yeah, I thought you were going to
- 2:14:06Speaker 4: say a small world, gotcha. No, small world didn't give
- 2:14:08Speaker 4: me little boat right. Small world terrified my sister though.
- 2:14:12Speaker 4: It's because of me.
- 2:14:13Speaker 2: You're riding a boat into a dark tube and all
- 2:14:15Speaker 2: you hear is crazy kids singing in there.
- 2:14:16Speaker 4: He was losing your mind.
- 2:14:18Speaker 2: Yeah, I laughed.
- 2:14:19Speaker 4: It was great, all right.

- 2:16:30Speaker 2: week in Valentine's Day. You guys pick Valentine's Day people.
- 2:16:32Speaker 4: Be No, we and my wife and I have been
- 2:16:34Speaker 4: together for twenty five years.
- 2:16:35Speaker 5: Yeah, so yeah, we we won't do anything major. We've
- 2:16:39Speaker 5: got some plans coming up later in the year that
- 2:16:41Speaker 5: are gonna cost us money.
- 2:16:42Speaker 4: Oh that's good, So there's no reason to waste it tomorrow.
- 2:16:45Speaker 2: Yeah. I think the same thing. I think we talked
- 2:16:46Speaker 2: about this little bit yesterday. Like I think after maybe ten, twelve,
- 2:16:49Speaker 2: fifteen years together or something like that, you just kind
- 2:16:51Speaker 2: of go, you know, you know, I love you, you
- 2:16:53Speaker 2: know I'm down, you know I'm there. You give them
- 2:16:55Speaker 2: a nice card, write something nice, and then go to dinner.
- 2:16:58Speaker 5: Yeah right, I mean, well, yeah, the day to go
- 2:17:00Speaker 5: because you do stuff throughout the year, little things here
- 2:17:03Speaker 5: and there.
- 2:17:03Speaker 4: Anyway. Yeah, yeah, so those don't need to load up tomorrow. Jackson,
- 2:17:06Speaker 4: you uh yeah, we're going out to dinner tonight because
- 2:17:09Speaker 4: my wife is working tomorrow and the Sunday. Matter of fact,
- 2:17:13Speaker 4: she's singing at Old Town. Oh really, she's with the
- 2:17:16Speaker 4: band singing at Old Town on Saturday. So I may
- 2:17:18Speaker 4: end up out there due I used to spend a
- 2:17:20Speaker 4: lot of time out in Old Town. Russ's mom and
- 2:17:22Speaker 4: dad a Russaurllins from the Monsters. His mom and dad
- 2:17:25Speaker 4: used to do car shows out all the time because
- 2:17:27Speaker 4: he has that fifty six I think t bird, yeah
- 2:17:29Speaker 4: that he rebuilt and actually was used on the new
- 2:17:32Speaker 4: Leave It to Beaver show, right, Yeah, And they would
- 2:17:35Speaker 4: go out there and do these car shows like every
- 2:17:37Speaker 4: other Saturday or whatever.
- 2:17:38Speaker 2: So we'd go out and stay and it was actually
- 2:17:40Speaker 2: a damn good party. It was a lot of fun
- 2:17:41Speaker 2: out there for years.
- 2:17:42Speaker 5: I love Old Towne and I still love to just
- 2:17:44Speaker 5: go bounce around.
- 2:17:45Speaker 4: Oh maybe I'll go. I was thinking it's that or
- 2:17:47Speaker 4: sale and watch the Olympics. I mean, I mean old
- 2:17:51Speaker 4: Town's fun. I mean it's fun.
- 2:17:53Speaker 2: It's it's still got a good following and we had
- 2:17:55Speaker 2: I've been out there in years, but man, we used
- 2:17:56Speaker 2: to have a blast out there.
- 2:17:57Speaker 4: Yeah, We've had a good time.
- 2:17:58Speaker 3: Every time we've gone, I'm going to tomorrow.
- 2:18:00Speaker 2: I haven't been in a really long time. I was
- 2:18:05Speaker 2: just what of Valentine's Day? What about baby? I'm gonna
- 2:18:08Speaker 2: tell you what you've I love I Gator jumperoole love.
- 2:18:12Speaker 5: Here yeah yeah, and spring for the zipline.
- 2:18:16Speaker 2: Yeah, I love you.
- 2:18:17Speaker 5: Nothing that's Valentine's Day like this ziplining over alligators, that.
- 2:18:22Speaker 2: Hardness going to Uh, We're going to DeLand tomorrow just
- 2:18:26Speaker 2: to walk around. I haven't been out in de Land
- 2:18:28Speaker 2: for a minute, and I have to tell you, every
- 2:18:30Speaker 2: time I hear people talking about DeLand in that downtown
- 2:18:33Speaker 2: area which is so walkable, everybody says it's so great,
- 2:18:36Speaker 2: and uh, you know, we've done the Mount Door things.
- 2:18:37Speaker 4: We live right around the corner so many times. Uh.
- 2:18:40Speaker 2: So we're gonna cruise over to de Land tomorrow kind
- 2:18:43Speaker 2: of walk around a little bit.
- 2:18:43Speaker 5: I haven't been there in years, but I remember it
- 2:18:46Speaker 5: being sort of like the Mountdoor vibe.
- 2:18:48Speaker 14: Yeah.
- 2:18:48Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 2:18:48Speaker 2: One of the rental houses that we owned years ago
- 2:18:51Speaker 2: was over in DeLand, so I would drive through downtown
- 2:18:54Speaker 2: all the time, going back and forth doing work on it,
- 2:18:56Speaker 2: but I never stopped to kind of hang out and
- 2:18:58Speaker 2: always I would always tell myself, why aren't we coming here?
- 2:19:01Speaker 2: Like I heard, this's got one of the best record
- 2:19:02Speaker 2: chops in Florida down there, like it's been there forever,
- 2:19:05Speaker 2: so looking forward to that.
- 2:19:06Speaker 5: They had a dessert shop down there when we went,
- 2:19:09Speaker 5: and it was the first time. This was years ago,
- 2:19:10Speaker 5: but it was the first time I ever tried chocolate
- 2:19:12Speaker 5: covered bacon and they made it there and I was like.
- 2:19:15Speaker 4: Wow, it is the greatest look at bacon? How can
- 2:19:18Speaker 4: we make this less healthy?
- 2:19:20Speaker 5: It was the first time I ever had it and
- 2:19:21Speaker 5: they brought it out him.
- 2:19:22Speaker 4: Like what I think?
- 2:19:23Speaker 2: Bacon is literally considered the worst food you can eat,
- 2:19:26Speaker 2: and then you cover that in milk chocolate? What better is?
- 2:19:28Speaker 3: Uh?
- 2:19:30Speaker 4: Love it? Dude?
- 2:19:31Speaker 2: All right, let's jack. We know we have some people

- 2:19:39Speaker 2: two in the morning.
- 2:19:40Speaker 4: I feel so on ping pong.
- 2:19:42Speaker 2: I think I've apologized to him four times during the breaks.
