- 0:00Speaker 1: Off the bench. We have to Jacob Hester and Matt Flynn.
- 0:03Speaker 2: Okay, here we go where the.
- 0:05Speaker 1: Plays get broken down and science gets denied.
- 0:08Speaker 2: I got to come off the bitch.
- 0:09Speaker 1: Hour two of Off the Bench Live from the Raisin
- 0:12Speaker 1: Kine Studio.
- 0:27Speaker 2: All right, welcome back here Off the Bench our number
- 0:30Speaker 2: two Live from the Raisin Kine Studio. Flynn Eland k
- 0:36Speaker 2: TA in studio, tripod rolling here, Jacob Hester live on
- 0:41Speaker 2: split screen from the NFL Combine. Man that first hour
- 0:48Speaker 2: flew by. I think we really informed the people on
- 0:51Speaker 2: the sports everything happened in sporty. We're going to continue
- 0:56Speaker 2: to do so. Right here and Off the Bench we
- 0:59Speaker 2: kind of talked about it. This is a it's a
- 1:04Speaker 2: big deal, a lot of implications geopolitical implications certainly, but
- 1:10Speaker 2: also sports implications as the FIFA World Cup it's happening
- 1:16Speaker 2: this summer, and guess where four of those matches are
- 1:21Speaker 2: going to be played. Guadalajara, Mexico, yep. I think Guadalhara.
- 1:29Speaker 2: The area that it's in has certainly made some headlines recently.
- 1:35Speaker 2: Cartel leader Elmncho was killed recently by the Mexican army.
- 1:46Speaker 2: That is what how do you pronounce it? Jlisco, Jalisco, Jalisco,
- 1:51Speaker 2: and Guadalajara is the capital of Jalisco. So a lot's
- 1:55Speaker 2: been happening since this is going on. I'm gonna ask you,
- 2:02Speaker 2: w Wandra, what the hell was happening in Mexico right now?
- 2:05Speaker 3: I mean, so, they, like you said, they killed the
- 2:09Speaker 3: head of the cartel that's that has like control of Jalisco,
- 2:15Speaker 3: and everybody else was like, that's not cool. So they
- 2:19Speaker 3: are basically retaliating and just doing a bunch of roadblocks.
- 2:23Speaker 3: At first they were setting cars on fire to block
- 2:25Speaker 3: the roads, but now they're straight up digging the highways out.
- 2:28Speaker 2: Whoa, yeah, pretty serious. I got control of the tractors.
- 2:31Speaker 3: They have control, like the cartel basically runs Yeah, exactly,
- 2:36Speaker 3: the cartel basically runs Mexico. Right Like when this first
- 2:40Speaker 3: came out, I thought it was like another cartel that
- 2:43Speaker 3: like got in the Mexican military's ear and was like, hey,
- 2:46Speaker 3: go take this guy out. That's how entrenched they are,
- 2:49Speaker 3: and like the government stuff like that. But then it
- 2:50Speaker 3: turns out like America, like the United States, it was
- 2:54Speaker 3: in partnership with the United States, so I guess some
- 2:56Speaker 3: seals went out there too. But yeah, basically just wreaking
- 3:00Speaker 3: havoc throughout Mexico right now.
- 3:04Speaker 4: Basically, Yeah, I feel like they're gonna put this behind
- 3:08Speaker 4: them mother toime though.
- 3:09Speaker 2: Yeah, did c an Arco says FIFA is staying up
- 3:13Speaker 2: to date, but as of now, they're not changing anything.
- 3:17Speaker 5: That's kind of wild.
- 3:18Speaker 2: Well, I mean, it doesn't happen to what Jude. When
- 3:20Speaker 2: does When does the World Cup starts June? It starts
- 3:23Speaker 2: in June, so that's when the games would be in June,
- 3:25Speaker 2: So we got some time.
- 3:27Speaker 3: Yeah, you have time, but there's also like basically a
- 3:30Speaker 3: civil war going on. I don't know why you wouldn't
- 3:33Speaker 3: just change it. All the Americans that are in Mexico
- 3:36Speaker 3: right now are basically being held hostage.
- 3:40Speaker 2: I would say, taste thing. Those four games playing in
- 3:42Speaker 2: the Dome.
- 3:46Speaker 6: Well, the US isn't. US isn't gonna play in Mexico.
- 3:48Speaker 6: They're gonna play their games. I believe they start out.
- 3:51Speaker 6: I know they got so far. They've got Seattle, so
- 3:55Speaker 6: the games, the games there have already kind of been decided.
- 3:58Speaker 6: Who's playing in the locations.
- 4:03Speaker 2: Oh well, there's a lot to unpack there, and certainly
- 4:07Speaker 2: we are not the showdown pack at all. But certainly
- 4:09Speaker 2: we wanted to bring some awareness because I know, Jake,
- 4:12Speaker 2: you are a your soccer guy. So I'm sure like
- 4:15Speaker 2: you have some sort of countdown calendar on your phone
- 4:18Speaker 2: set to when the World Cup is? Are you going
- 4:20Speaker 2: to try to make any games?
- 4:23Speaker 6: Oh? Yeah, I'm trying to get serious to send me
- 4:26Speaker 6: to some of these games. Need me to cover these
- 4:28Speaker 6: games for you. I'll miss that one. I'll probably are safety.
- 4:33Speaker 5: I'm good.
- 4:35Speaker 7: What do we do were your correspondent, We'll go work
- 4:46Speaker 7: for you.
- 4:47Speaker 6: One of the cities I think it's I know Mexico
- 4:50Speaker 6: City Stec is obviously going to get one. Uh, Monterey
- 4:54Speaker 6: gonna get I think the other, and so by Lahar
- 4:57Speaker 6: is a third city in Mexico to get a game.
- 5:01Speaker 6: But I'm trying to find out right now, like who's
- 5:03Speaker 6: already in that one because you kind of know some
- 5:05Speaker 6: of the locations.
- 5:07Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, I'm Monterey is the other one?
- 5:10Speaker 2: Mm? Now that would be pool play? Is that right?
- 5:13Speaker 2: Would that be the four games?
- 5:15Speaker 6: Group play?
- 5:16Speaker 2: Play? Yea, I'm sorry, same thing right.
- 5:19Speaker 6: Uh, just like you don't like calling the Star, I'm
- 5:21Speaker 6: just gonna call it what it's called, you know, group
- 5:24Speaker 6: play A group all right?
- 5:27Speaker 2: So We're just coming out of the Olympics, and of
- 5:29Speaker 2: course a lot of American pride happening right now, a
- 5:32Speaker 2: lot of Free Bird being played. We talked, we talked
- 5:36Speaker 2: a little bit before you joined earlier that the US
- 5:38Speaker 2: hockey team is like on an epic just party tour
- 5:40Speaker 2: right now, and believe they're going to is it the
- 5:43Speaker 2: State of the Union tonight? Is that right? Is that
- 5:45Speaker 2: what they're doing. They're they're going to that. So they
- 5:48Speaker 2: are just on an epic run. I'm sure they'll still
- 5:51Speaker 2: be maybe a little bit drunk at the State of
- 5:53Speaker 2: the Union, probably disappointed if they weren't a little bit.
- 5:57Speaker 2: Trump's probably expecting that.
- 5:59Speaker 6: Did you see the press conference where they were up
- 6:01Speaker 6: there and they were like they got beers brought to them,
- 6:03Speaker 6: Oh yeah, oh yeah, and like they're the president.
- 6:07Speaker 2: I'd be like one more, that's right. Well, they were
- 6:09Speaker 2: getting asked some like really dumb question too. Did you
- 6:14Speaker 2: so last night that there was a lot of videos
- 6:17Speaker 2: coming out. They were in a nightclub in Miami and
- 6:20Speaker 2: crowdsurfing the free bird. One of I think one of
- 6:23Speaker 2: the captains was actually singing a courtesy of the Red, White,
- 6:26Speaker 2: and Blue. Toby Keith rope us, right, yeah, who among us? So, yeah,
- 6:31Speaker 2: I don't I doubt they've slept. And they are certainly
- 6:33Speaker 2: American heroes. And I hope that, at least in their
- 6:38Speaker 2: home states, that each one of those players never has
- 6:41Speaker 2: to buy a beer again in their life. They shouldn't.
- 6:44Speaker 6: Yeah, but well, you know, look, we need to actually
- 6:50Speaker 6: we need to speak on that. You always hear that,
- 6:54Speaker 6: you always hear like if you have like this huge game,
- 6:57Speaker 6: this huge moment, that guy's never gonna have to buy
- 7:00Speaker 6: a beer in that city again. Let me tell you something.
- 7:03Speaker 6: That's a lie. I've bought a lot of beers and
- 7:07Speaker 6: a lot of people during you know, the Florida game,
- 7:10Speaker 6: like that guy will never have to buy a beer.
- 7:13Speaker 2: Yep, I see, I didn't want to bring that up.
- 7:15Speaker 6: And I bring the beers.
- 7:17Speaker 2: I bring the beers, I bring the beers.
- 7:19Speaker 6: Yeah, so that's a lie.
- 7:21Speaker 2: Yeah. I remember after after O seven National championship. I
- 7:24Speaker 2: remember hearing that too, like you're never going to buy
- 7:26Speaker 2: a beer again, A baton rouge, that's right. I buy
- 7:29Speaker 2: a lot of dis sekis we do. I never even
- 7:33Speaker 2: got a discount. I have a ten percenter nothing.
- 7:37Speaker 6: I never had the opportunity to turn down a free
- 7:40Speaker 6: beer they've never even presented itself.
- 7:44Speaker 2: Yeah, that's true. So US men's hockey enjoy it while
- 7:48Speaker 2: it lasts. But at some point in the near future,
- 7:51Speaker 2: you're gonna be swiping that credit card for your own beers.
- 7:54Speaker 2: I'm sorry, just gonna happen. Yeah, every now and then,
- 7:57Speaker 2: maybe you get one sent over from the booth next
- 7:59Speaker 2: to you. That's about it.
- 8:02Speaker 6: Like, if I ever see any of them out, it's
- 8:06Speaker 6: on me, no doubt about it. But like the general public,
- 8:11Speaker 6: I'm not sure that they know about So here's what
- 8:13Speaker 6: needs to happen. President Trump needs to give them all
- 8:17Speaker 6: a gold card that says free beer for life and
- 8:22Speaker 6: sign it autograph on it, like like a you know,
- 8:25Speaker 6: like a good credit card like the the ax outs
- 8:27Speaker 6: like steal, like a steel gold card that says free
- 8:31Speaker 6: beer anywhere the United States or at least like you know,
- 8:36Speaker 6: during the rest of Trump's term something like that, you
- 8:39Speaker 6: can be free beer.
- 8:41Speaker 2: But that's right, Yeah, the American taxpayers, we're going to
- 8:44Speaker 2: pay for your beer because you gave us such an beer.
- 8:47Speaker 2: I think I'd be okay with that. I mean, how
- 8:50Speaker 2: many beers can you drink? They are hockey.
- 8:52Speaker 6: Players, Well they're hockey players, but I.
- 8:55Speaker 2: Mean, and let me tell you something about people up north.
- 8:58Speaker 2: Like when I came from LSU, a fantastic party school,
- 9:02Speaker 2: right fantastic, And you know, learned how to drink my
- 9:08Speaker 2: beer at.
- 9:08Speaker 6: LSU when you were twenty one.
- 9:12Speaker 2: Yeah, Well as soon as I turned twenty one, it's
- 9:14Speaker 2: first one cracked it up, and I went to Wisconsin
- 9:20Speaker 2: and I kind of learned a new level there is
- 9:24Speaker 2: and and people kind of in Louisiana get a little
- 9:26Speaker 2: upset at this. The people up north, there's not a
- 9:29Speaker 2: lot to do, like half the year, so that's all.
- 9:33Speaker 2: They get really good at that. And there is a
- 9:35Speaker 2: lot of the bias getting drank up north. So most
- 9:39Speaker 2: of these hockey players are from areas like that, and
- 9:44Speaker 2: they're really they can do. They can put down a lot,
- 9:48Speaker 2: a lot, Like we're talking about casers. Casers at the.
- 9:51Speaker 6: Time I went to Green Bay last year for the Draft,
- 9:56Speaker 6: I can see them staying inside and drinking a lot
- 9:58Speaker 6: of beer.
- 9:59Speaker 2: Every like every block in a neighborhood pretty much has
- 10:02Speaker 2: like something that looks like a house and it's a
- 10:06Speaker 2: local it's the local bar. But it's like every block
- 10:08Speaker 2: it's like every eight houses has a local bar.
- 10:11Speaker 6: Basically, yeah, that's exactly how it felt. Yes, I did
- 10:16Speaker 6: find out the teams that are playing in Guadalajara.
- 10:19Speaker 2: Okay, the group.
- 10:21Speaker 6: The group is Colombia, Mexico, and South Korea.
- 10:26Speaker 2: Now yeah, yeah, they can protect themselves.
- 10:31Speaker 5: South Korea. That's like work for them.
- 10:35Speaker 6: North Korea.
- 10:36Speaker 2: South Korea, well, they got to deal with the North.
- 10:39Speaker 2: They're good.
- 10:41Speaker 3: I mean, Colombia has their cartels that they deal.
- 10:43Speaker 2: With perfect period. So they got like fake fake nukes
- 10:47Speaker 2: flying over their heads all the time.
- 10:50Speaker 3: They'll be all right.
- 10:51Speaker 6: And then there's still the fourth team is still a
- 10:56Speaker 6: group of I believe three teams that's trying to five still, so.
- 11:02Speaker 2: It'd be funny.
- 11:02Speaker 6: It feels like, but I'm that's just gonna play and
- 11:05Speaker 6: that's not like the I guess that's not like the
- 11:08Speaker 6: group that's together. That's the group that's playing in gudalajaras
- 11:12Speaker 6: I know, I know Koreas in Group A. I believe
- 11:15Speaker 6: Mexico is in Group A. But like you said, I mean,
- 11:20Speaker 6: those teams do feel like they can probably handle most situations.
- 11:24Speaker 2: So somebody in the mean the chat go South just asked,
- 11:30Speaker 2: was the video of cash Betel chugging beers with the
- 11:33Speaker 2: US team. Real, Oh yeah, that was.
- 11:35Speaker 3: That was actually okay because I that was Ai either because.
- 11:39Speaker 2: I'm doing people saying it's like a deep face.
- 11:40Speaker 3: Well no, no, no, no, I just could. I couldn't tell
- 11:43Speaker 3: because I'm doing this thing for li where like I
- 11:45Speaker 3: stay off of social media during certain hours. So I
- 11:48Speaker 3: just like saw it passingly and it looked a little
- 11:50Speaker 3: fake to me.
- 11:51Speaker 4: But I just like, well, because nowadays it's smart to.
- 11:55Speaker 5: Just not believe anything you see on the internet.
- 11:58Speaker 2: Everything, question everything. I'm pretty sure it was.
- 12:00Speaker 3: Someone commented, They're like, we're never finding Nancy Guthrie.
- 12:03Speaker 2: Yeah, I did say that.
- 12:06Speaker 6: That's the whole story.
- 12:10Speaker 2: Who's gonna be our correspondent in the Fox offer?
- 12:13Speaker 3: Want like all the conspiracy correspondent?
- 12:16Speaker 2: Uh what so what part? Like? I don't like not
- 12:18Speaker 2: the whole thing of him being is like question to
- 12:20Speaker 2: be Ai because he did Trump on the phone, right
- 12:23Speaker 2: is it just is it just him the chugging of.
- 12:26Speaker 3: The beer chugging it looked a little okay. I got
- 12:28Speaker 3: maybe because he just looked so out of place, but
- 12:31Speaker 3: I was like, this can't be real.
- 12:33Speaker 2: Look cool, don't look cool doing this? Fitting in he
- 12:35Speaker 2: did look cool.
- 12:36Speaker 5: People criticized him because that's what people do, but.
- 12:39Speaker 2: It was awesome.
- 12:40Speaker 4: Imagine the horror showing pride in the US country.
- 12:44Speaker 2: The horror.
- 12:47Speaker 6: Speaking, I don't know that I would try to go
- 12:48Speaker 6: toe for toe with that group drinking beer.
- 12:50Speaker 2: After that moment, though. Yeah, but you want to be like.
- 12:53Speaker 6: That's an elite beer drinking situation right there.
- 12:56Speaker 2: But how many times in your life if you are
- 12:59Speaker 2: not a sports person, like, if you're not an athlete,
- 13:02Speaker 2: do you have a chance to become one of the
- 13:04Speaker 2: boys in a sweet moment like that? So if you're
- 13:07Speaker 2: the director of the FBI and you have that moment,
- 13:09Speaker 2: you seize it. You take that moment.
- 13:12Speaker 6: Yeah, if they offer it to me, it's on the site. Yeah,
- 13:16Speaker 6: it's not even a question. Oh yeah, Like whatever number
- 13:20Speaker 6: they tell me we're drinking, I'm gonna make sure I
- 13:22Speaker 6: get to that number. I might not be in a
- 13:24Speaker 6: good place after that, but I'm not letting that group down.
- 13:29Speaker 2: Not letting that group down after that. Like, you'd be
- 13:31Speaker 2: surprised how far a little American pride can take you
- 13:34Speaker 2: in that number count a dead soldier count?
- 13:37Speaker 6: Sure, I'm telling you that's true.
- 13:40Speaker 2: Speaking of Pride, and speaking of the World Cup, this segment,
- 13:43Speaker 2: we're kind of all over the place, which is a
- 13:45Speaker 2: classic US. How is the USA team shaping up leading
- 13:50Speaker 2: into the World Cup?
- 13:52Speaker 6: They're in good form right now. There was there was
- 13:56Speaker 6: a bumpy, bumpy little portion there during kind of qualifying
- 14:01Speaker 6: and some friendlies that they had, but they've been playing
- 14:03Speaker 6: much better as of late. Their stars have been playing
- 14:06Speaker 6: really good on their club teams as well, so much
- 14:10Speaker 6: better than it looked like it was going to be
- 14:14Speaker 6: the group that they got in. I don't want to
- 14:16Speaker 6: call it easy because every time somebody does that, but
- 14:20Speaker 6: it's certainly not like the group of death right, and
- 14:23Speaker 6: so they have very winnable games. As I said, they're
- 14:28Speaker 6: in great form. I think they've won or I know
- 14:31Speaker 6: they hadn't lost in their last five matches. They've beaten Japan,
- 14:35Speaker 6: who's a good team. Uruguay is a good team, Paraguay
- 14:38Speaker 6: is a good team. I think they drew with Ecuador,
- 14:41Speaker 6: beat Australia, so they've beaten some good teams in the
- 14:43Speaker 6: last couple of matches. Again, their stars are playing really
- 14:46Speaker 6: well at the club level for some of the biggest
- 14:48Speaker 6: clubs in Europe. So I'm trying to find the other
- 14:54Speaker 6: teams they're in their group right now. I know they
- 14:57Speaker 6: got Belgium coming up like a warm up, so like
- 15:01Speaker 6: over the next couple of uh, like you know, leading
- 15:05Speaker 6: into it, you'll have they play Belgium and March Portugal
- 15:09Speaker 6: in March, and then I'm trying to think that. I
- 15:13Speaker 6: think they played Germany kind of like the final lead in.
- 15:17Speaker 6: I believe Australia Paraguay is in the group there and
- 15:21Speaker 6: then they still have to find out the winner. I
- 15:23Speaker 6: believe it's playoff c so the winner of that will
- 15:26Speaker 6: also be in the group.
- 15:27Speaker 2: So when do they kind of put their club teams
- 15:31Speaker 2: away and then start fully focusing on Teamosa.
- 15:39Speaker 6: Well, I mean again, they'll have some international friendlies against
- 15:43Speaker 6: Belgium and Portugal, which are really good teams, and that's
- 15:45Speaker 6: in March, so they'll come in for that and then
- 15:48Speaker 6: they'll go back to their club team and then they'll
- 15:51Speaker 6: come back in for a friendly I think at the
- 15:53Speaker 6: end of the season in May, so I believe. I
- 15:56Speaker 6: believe it's the end of May, and another gutt Senegal
- 15:58Speaker 6: at the end of May, and then like I said,
- 16:01Speaker 6: they got Germany at the beginning of June, so they'll
- 16:04Speaker 6: go through their club season until probably like the middle
- 16:09Speaker 6: portion of May, and then as soon as that's over
- 16:11Speaker 6: all of those players that are, you know, all in
- 16:14Speaker 6: the twenty six I believe the number that's going up to,
- 16:17Speaker 6: they'll go and they'll be a part of those friendly
- 16:19Speaker 6: matches kind of leading in against Senegal and Germany. So
- 16:24Speaker 6: they'll be there. I mean, there's no there's no break.
- 16:27Speaker 6: It's like you you finish your club team in May
- 16:29Speaker 6: and then you go directly to the United States men's
- 16:32Speaker 6: national team.
- 16:34Speaker 2: All right, well, there you go. Here's our World Cup
- 16:36Speaker 2: preview right there, there's our cartel overview and good stuff.
- 16:43Speaker 2: And I think going to them.
- 16:44Speaker 3: For letting me have this opportunity to talk about the
- 16:46Speaker 3: Mexican cartel.
- 16:48Speaker 2: The first thing you said this morning, Yeah, when you
- 16:50Speaker 2: walk down, I think we can all agree going in
- 16:52Speaker 2: the World Cup that we hope Canada loses every single
- 16:54Speaker 2: game by fifty. That's how I feel right now.
- 17:00Speaker 6: Has kind of become like a nice little rival in
- 17:03Speaker 6: soccer too. Actually, like a little a little juicy detail there.
- 17:11Speaker 7: There may.
- 17:14Speaker 2: Whoa wow, wow.
- 17:19Speaker 4: The cartel cutter cut the feed, guys. I'm sorry, I
- 17:22Speaker 4: was monitoring it. Let's go on, So.
- 17:26Speaker 2: Jake, you're Jake Cuff frozen Jake.
- 17:32Speaker 3: Hey guys, Okay, the cartel got you for a second.
- 17:35Speaker 2: You didn't pay for the Good Wife. You got the
- 17:37Speaker 2: free in room life.
- 17:42Speaker 6: My phone actually said that they called me from was unstable.
- 17:48Speaker 2: It is always great.
- 17:50Speaker 5: It's specified Internet.
- 17:53Speaker 6: It did. It's a fifty five whatever your number is
- 17:56Speaker 6: is unstable. That's crazy. And also, so I was in
- 18:00Speaker 6: that room yesterday and wanted to throw my computer across
- 18:04Speaker 6: the room because the Wi Fi in that room that
- 18:07Speaker 6: you're in is the worst Wi Fi I've ever been
- 18:10Speaker 6: a part of. So yeah, I think it.
- 18:12Speaker 2: Was probably there. You go, all right, all right, let's
- 18:17Speaker 2: go to break. Thanks for all those those tidbits, and
- 18:20Speaker 2: I promise you we probably will try not to talk
- 18:22Speaker 2: about any more soccer for as long as we're here
- 18:26Speaker 2: until the World Cup. But there we go, laughing. All right,
- 18:34Speaker 2: We're gonna go to break. Stay tuned right here, off

- 18:50Speaker 2: LSU Athletics. How he gives gives to them, makes brings
- 18:54Speaker 2: the players in as part of the G Team. We
- 18:56Speaker 2: see how Gordon mccernin gives back to the community all
- 18:59Speaker 2: over the state of Louisiana different times of the year.
- 19:02Speaker 2: We've seen all the different giveaways they've done and all
- 19:04Speaker 2: the great stuff he does in the community. But at
- 19:06Speaker 2: the heart of everything, Gordon mccernon injury attorneys are here
- 19:09Speaker 2: to fight for you. If you've been injured, it doesn't
- 19:12Speaker 2: matter where, how you've been injured in a car accident,

- 19:19Speaker 2: Team be a part of it. Get Gordon, get it done,

- 19:33Speaker 2: what sets them apart from other losing a personal injury
- 19:36Speaker 2: atorneys at G guarantee, there's no feed for them unless
- 19:38Speaker 2: they win. Go to get Gordon dot.
- 19:40Speaker 1: Com smiles from the locker room to the airwaves. It's
- 20:22Speaker 1: off the bench with Jacob Hester and Matt Flynn.
- 20:35Speaker 2: We're definitely gonna have another.
- 20:37Speaker 5: To wait for the rejoin. Yeah, well for your mic
- 20:40Speaker 5: to be on, I.
- 20:42Speaker 4: Will say that button will say that she she is
- 20:46Speaker 4: known to go to break twice, so it's not.
- 20:49Speaker 3: I'm notorious for back to that commercial.
- 20:52Speaker 5: I understand your caution.
- 20:54Speaker 2: I know, well, see I was late putting my headphones on.
- 20:59Speaker 3: M HM and this.
- 21:01Speaker 2: But we're definitely gonna have another boop of real after
- 21:02Speaker 2: this week.
- 21:03Speaker 3: Let me start putting time stamps down, no doubt.
- 21:07Speaker 2: Welcome back here off the bench raising Kaye Studio, Tuesday morning,
- 21:11Speaker 2: a twenty four. I' want to tell you about a
- 21:13Speaker 2: friends that's Central Plumbing. Central Plumbing in dot Org, the
- 21:15Speaker 2: plumbing experts in the Greater Batner's area, a pain family.
- 21:19Speaker 2: They've been doing it another really really long time and
- 21:22Speaker 2: they have seen everything, whether it's commercial, whether it's residential.
- 21:25Speaker 2: They have seen every emergency, every situation. There's no job
- 21:28Speaker 2: too big or too small for their team. And they
- 21:31Speaker 2: got a great team over there and they can handle
- 21:33Speaker 2: anything bigger little. Also, how about twenty four to seven
- 21:36Speaker 2: emergency service. So your plumber, no matter the time, no
- 21:41Speaker 2: matter the emergency, no matter the day, whatever is happening,
- 21:45Speaker 2: it doesn't matter if it's overtime in a USA versus
- 21:47Speaker 2: Canada hockey game in the Olympics. That'd be kind of
- 21:51Speaker 2: rude to call them at that point, but they would
- 21:53Speaker 2: do it. They'd come out there and they'd fix that toilet,
- 21:56Speaker 2: gas line, gas leak, whatever it is. Central Plumbing, Central Plumbing,
- 22:00Speaker 2: dot Org. Go check them out. You've got a project.
- 22:02Speaker 2: You want a tankless water heater, I want a little
- 22:05Speaker 2: powder room or about it, whatever it is, it doesn't matter.
- 22:07Speaker 2: Go check them out. Central Plumbing, Central Plumbing, dot Org.
- 22:12Speaker 2: Hey Hester, you gotta pulled up. Yeah, sorry, I kind
- 22:19Speaker 2: of like look at this TV to see, like what's happening.
- 22:21Speaker 2: I didn't see him.
- 22:24Speaker 6: Your boy, Do you say bigger little instead of bigger small?
- 22:28Speaker 2: Potentially? I say, I don't think.
- 22:31Speaker 6: I've ever heard it said that way, Like any project
- 22:33Speaker 6: bigger little.
- 22:35Speaker 2: Well little would be the bigger little would be the
- 22:38Speaker 2: opposite of big. Small, would be the opposite of large.
- 22:43Speaker 6: Yeah. Right, But that's like when people are describing like
- 22:47Speaker 6: somebody that can do any job about it was a profession.
- 22:52Speaker 6: It's like, you know they can do it bigger, bigger small,
- 22:55Speaker 6: not bigger little. Never heard that one before.
- 22:57Speaker 2: Interesting, What I think we should probably because I think
- 23:00Speaker 2: we'd all agree that little is the opposite of big,
- 23:02Speaker 2: small is the opposite of large. I think I don't know.
- 23:05Speaker 3: If I ever put this much thought into that.
- 23:07Speaker 2: Yeah. I don't put a lot of thought the things
- 23:09Speaker 2: that I say, Jake, So I don't believe you. Thank you,
- 23:17Speaker 2: thank you. So I got a third D eight on the
- 23:19Speaker 2: wonder lick, not a not a huge. Can't take that
- 23:23Speaker 2: away from me. Hey, uh, former teammate, your boy, former
- 23:27Speaker 2: quarterback with the Indianapolis Colts, Philip Rivers, his son Gunner,
- 23:33Speaker 2: committed to n C State. Hey do you see that house? Sweet?
- 23:38Speaker 2: Is that? I think that's awesome.
- 23:39Speaker 3: They have a hand signal too, they.
- 23:40Speaker 2: Do, see. That's that's why he went there.
- 23:45Speaker 4: Was Texas and TCU or his other finelists, so he
- 23:49Speaker 4: had to have a hand signal.
- 23:51Speaker 5: I don't know if that's true.
- 23:52Speaker 6: I I honestly thought like he was going to go
- 23:57Speaker 6: to Auburn. It just that Philip really wanted to go
- 24:00Speaker 6: there when he was coming out of high school. Philip
- 24:02Speaker 6: has a daughter that goes there already. It's in the
- 24:05Speaker 6: state of Alabama, And sometimes I always wonder, like, you know,
- 24:10Speaker 6: your dad was a star there, like Philip got his
- 24:14Speaker 6: jersey retired his before his last game there, like they did,
- 24:18Speaker 6: like they didn't even have the way he started as
- 24:19Speaker 6: a freshman, played all four years, his jersey was retired,
- 24:23Speaker 6: So like, you know, I don't know, like sometimes do
- 24:25Speaker 6: you want that pressure Some people do. Some people want
- 24:27Speaker 6: all that pressure that lineage. But I think it's awesome.
- 24:31Speaker 6: That's a great spot for Gunner. It's a huge get
- 24:34Speaker 6: for NC State. Gunner's a top ten quarterback in his class.
- 24:39Speaker 6: When we were down to Mobile for the Senior Bowl,
- 24:42Speaker 6: I was getting out of the car with it was
- 24:44Speaker 6: me new heislin'doring and so we're pulling off up and
- 24:47Speaker 6: the NC State head coach is walking out of out
- 24:51Speaker 6: of practice and practice had just kind of started, and
- 24:53Speaker 6: Rick's like, where are you going. He's like, oh, well,
- 24:56Speaker 6: we got to recruit. We got to go see like
- 24:58Speaker 6: it's in the area. And of course me, I'm like Gunner.
- 25:02Speaker 6: He's like, yeah, I'm gonna go see Gunnar Rivers, uh,
- 25:05Speaker 6: you know, because they're right across the bay and Fair Hope.
- 25:08Speaker 6: He's like, uh, We're gonna go watch him tonight play
- 25:11Speaker 6: a basketball game. We're gonna sit down with him. He's
- 25:13Speaker 6: like man, we really hope, like you know, our connection
- 25:16Speaker 6: with his dad obviously is really going to put it
- 25:19Speaker 6: across the finish line there. Uh so they did the
- 25:23Speaker 6: full court press on Gunner Rivers. So yeah, that's a
- 25:26Speaker 6: that's a sweet deal.
- 25:27Speaker 2: Man.
- 25:27Speaker 6: I remember Gunner when he was in a car seat.
- 25:29Speaker 6: To the fact that he's committing to NC State makes
- 25:32Speaker 6: me feel incredibly old. But congratulations to him and the Hall.
- 25:35Speaker 2: Of fam I think the the all the rumors and
- 25:38Speaker 2: I remember seeing like I think a special on the
- 25:41Speaker 2: car seat of a big sprinter van. Right, did he
- 25:45Speaker 2: any famous for like driving, like commuting in an hour
- 25:48Speaker 2: because he got the big sprinter van for once.
- 25:50Speaker 6: Once they move, Yeah, once they moved to LA, he
- 25:53Speaker 6: stayed in San Diego and he had like a film
- 25:57Speaker 6: studio basically in the back of the sprinter van where
- 25:59Speaker 6: he would watch the tape, him and Callen Clemens, who
- 26:03Speaker 6: was the back of the quarterback at the time, and
- 26:04Speaker 6: like they just hired somebody that would drive them so
- 26:08Speaker 6: they would watch their tape on their way up to
- 26:11Speaker 6: LA and their way back home. So they still got
- 26:12Speaker 6: their film in but they didn't have to move their family.
- 26:15Speaker 2: But oh, that sounds like I appreciate.
- 26:21Speaker 6: Oh yeah, me and you, we'd be done. I'm pretty
- 26:25Speaker 6: sure that Philip still has the same King Ranch F
- 26:29Speaker 6: two fifty that he had back when we were playing
- 26:32Speaker 6: for the Chargers together, because I know for a fact
- 26:34Speaker 6: because I saw it like four years ago down at
- 26:37Speaker 6: the beach. It was still in his driveway and I'm like,
- 26:41Speaker 6: that's not the same King Ranch. He's like, yeah it is.
- 26:44Speaker 2: Hey, you know what, some people just Tommy tough nuts
- 26:46Speaker 2: like that, Like they make new cars and you can
- 26:48Speaker 2: afford it. Just get you a new car, like you
- 26:51Speaker 2: don't have to run it into the ground. Oh man,
- 26:55Speaker 2: So yeah, you can get one where the ac works
- 26:58Speaker 2: all the time, but.
- 27:02Speaker 6: Probably get the windows.
- 27:03Speaker 2: He's good, Oh man, that's fine. Well, I mean it
- 27:08Speaker 2: doesn't matter, like if you are a big Philip Rivers
- 27:12Speaker 2: fan like Hester is or not. Like the fact that
- 27:15Speaker 2: a son is going to follow in the footsteps to
- 27:18Speaker 2: the same D one college n C State is just
- 27:21Speaker 2: a badass story and at a and a cool like
- 27:24Speaker 2: lineage right there. And I would assume that after his
- 27:29Speaker 2: children are kind of not playing or whatever, doesn't have
- 27:32Speaker 2: that responsibility there, that he would certainly be in line
- 27:35Speaker 2: to continue his head coaching journey elsewhere if he wants to,
- 27:39Speaker 2: he might have to get a new f two fifty.
- 27:41Speaker 2: He might have to get a new car, Like if
- 27:43Speaker 2: he was a head coach at Buffalo, he'd probably have
- 27:45Speaker 2: to get a car where a heater worked. So, uh,
- 27:48Speaker 2: that's a cool story. It's just a bad ass, badass
- 27:50Speaker 2: story when a when a sun can and follow in
- 27:52Speaker 2: the footsteps and go do that, whether you want to
- 27:54Speaker 2: chase that lineage at the same college or not, it's
- 27:56Speaker 2: a really cool story. Again, go for the Rivers family.
- 27:59Speaker 6: So yeah, I can't even I can't even imagine that
- 28:03Speaker 6: they they think of like if if Huck played for
- 28:06Speaker 6: the Tigers or one of my four boys played, Like
- 28:08Speaker 6: I honestly like Katie's dad played for Louise Attack and
- 28:13Speaker 6: she had a bunch of cousins that played for Louisian Attack,
- 28:15Speaker 6: And I'm like, man, if moss sons got to play there,
- 28:19Speaker 6: and like they got to share that with a family member,
- 28:21Speaker 6: like that would be awesome. So like, I can't imagine
- 28:24Speaker 6: going to the school that you played at, playing the
- 28:26Speaker 6: same position, wearing the same number, hell throw in the
- 28:29Speaker 6: same same way, the same way that like three people
- 28:32Speaker 6: in the world throw that way and they're all last name.
- 28:34Speaker 2: Does he throw it like that?
- 28:38Speaker 6: Very it's very similar. Yeah, it's not quite as side
- 28:41Speaker 6: arm as Philip, but it.
- 28:42Speaker 2: Is send him to like a regular quarterback school, like
- 28:46Speaker 2: let him throw. But you're one of one, fell up,
- 28:48Speaker 2: you're one on one with that motion because it's pretty brutal,
- 28:51Speaker 2: one of one that But you're right that it is
- 28:53Speaker 2: gonna be tough to play. It is tough to play
- 28:56Speaker 2: in a building on a field where you look up
- 28:58Speaker 2: and you see your dad's number like in the rafters.
- 29:00Speaker 2: That's that's a tough place to play. It's a lot
- 29:02Speaker 2: of expectation to live up. So I hope hopefully he does,
- 29:04Speaker 2: hopefully has a great career. And uh, you know college
- 29:07Speaker 2: football these days, who knows you're committed to somewhere and
- 29:10Speaker 2: you sign somewhere, what does it really mean? Who knows
- 29:12Speaker 2: where that journey will end. But we wish luck in
- 29:14Speaker 2: a really cool story and hopefully Philip also continue says
- 29:18Speaker 2: his coaching journeys. I'd like to see him coach at
- 29:20Speaker 2: a higher level as well. All Right, we're gonna go
- 29:23Speaker 2: to break, we're gonna come back, We're gonna keep talking.
- 29:25Speaker 2: There's some NFL news out there, there's some Combine news
- 29:28Speaker 2: out there, there's LSU baseball. You know we're gonna get
- 29:33Speaker 2: that McNeese breakdown. Yeah, we get the full roster breakdown
- 29:37Speaker 2: for McNeese.
- 29:38Speaker 3: Yeah, you told me that you had it.
- 29:40Speaker 2: Did a deep dive right here auth thementrum after bench.
- 29:48Speaker 2: All right. You know, in today's world, in the world
- 29:50Speaker 2: of working in an office and getting a job done
- 29:53Speaker 2: with a team of team of folks in the office,
- 29:55Speaker 2: your business, they can't afford any downtime. So whether you're
- 29:59Speaker 2: running a small office you got one of them, caging

- 31:05Speaker 1: the core. This is off the Bench with Hester and Flynn,
- 31:09Speaker 1: Matt and Rouge's go to for all things Louisiana sports.
- 31:16Speaker 6: Look at that.
- 31:18Speaker 2: That's the way you do it. You all right, welcome
- 31:24Speaker 2: back here off the bench. Did you see that? I
- 31:27Speaker 2: waited for the drop that time like a radio pro.
- 31:31Speaker 5: Look at you.
- 31:33Speaker 2: We're getting better, guys, constant and never any self improvement.
- 31:37Speaker 2: That's what we all should try for. That's what we
- 31:39Speaker 2: just did.
- 31:45Speaker 6: I just had to explain to Nick Underhill about Indianapolis
- 31:50Speaker 6: not being on Central time and then being on Eastern
- 31:53Speaker 6: time this time of year because they don't take daylight savings,
- 31:56Speaker 6: because he wrote me like around I don't know, like
- 32:01Speaker 6: nine eastern, so eighth Central, and it's like, hey, I'm
- 32:05Speaker 6: in a you know, a combo about you know, the draft.
- 32:09Speaker 6: Because he's here in Indy too. He's like, I'm in
- 32:11Speaker 6: a combo. I have to push a little bit. And
- 32:13Speaker 6: then he wrote me. He's like, hey, I'm good to go.
- 32:14Speaker 6: I'm like, well, your spot's in thirty minutes. And I
- 32:16Speaker 6: could tell he was confused, and so he'll be on
- 32:20Speaker 6: the show. Don't worry. We got it all figured out.
- 32:23Speaker 6: I let him know that it's this one city is
- 32:26Speaker 6: Eastern time zone.
- 32:28Speaker 2: It's weird because I'm looking at we were talking about
- 32:32Speaker 2: that earlier. Yeah, we talked about it earlier and I
- 32:35Speaker 2: just looked it up. Now this is the internet talking.
- 32:38Speaker 2: This isn't me quoting. I said, how many states in
- 32:42Speaker 2: the ark you never did that? How many states do
- 32:44Speaker 2: you yet? Thank you? How many states in the United
- 32:46Speaker 2: States don't observed saving something? And it says Arizona, right,
- 32:50Speaker 2: only Hawaii and most of Arizona. It says nothing about Indianapolis.
- 32:57Speaker 6: Well, I think you said states you should you should
- 33:00Speaker 6: try cities.
- 33:01Speaker 5: Now that's probably not all of Indiana.
- 33:05Speaker 2: Oh, it's just indian indian Appa.
- 33:08Speaker 6: Yeah, I'm pretty sure.
- 33:11Speaker 2: Yeah, how fast Awkwards is that?
- 33:13Speaker 4: That is really dumb? But you drop twenty minutes down
- 33:16Speaker 4: the road, you're an hour different.
- 33:18Speaker 2: Right East or west, north or south. This doesn't make
- 33:25Speaker 2: any sense.
- 33:26Speaker 4: We were talking last week and doctor ethwhich was judging
- 33:28Speaker 4: us hold he was in the studio.
- 33:30Speaker 2: Sure.
- 33:30Speaker 4: Yeah, leapyears are stupid because February is twenty eight days.
- 33:34Speaker 4: Take two of the thirty one months, slide it in
- 33:37Speaker 4: there in February, you got thirty days across the board.
- 33:39Speaker 2: Boom done. Leapers are dumb. My brother in law is
- 33:42Speaker 2: a leap year baby, so.
- 33:45Speaker 5: Does he celebrate on the twenty eighth or morch first.
- 33:47Speaker 2: He only has one birthday every four years.
- 33:50Speaker 5: He's a he's like ten years old.
- 33:51Speaker 2: Yeah, tiny.
- 33:56Speaker 6: I don't know. Trying to find some information on this.
- 34:01Speaker 6: All I know is I'm an Eastern time zone guys.
- 34:04Speaker 2: Mm hmmm, I do know that. We I think last
- 34:09Speaker 2: time Jake was out, we started talking about uh demonyms.
- 34:13Speaker 2: You remember that doesn't matter what city you are from Indianapolis,
- 34:20Speaker 2: you are a Hoosier.
- 34:21Speaker 3: So you're not a You're an honorary Hoosier.
- 34:24Speaker 2: You're an honorary Hoosier. This week, they're not. There's not
- 34:28Speaker 2: like Indianapolis and or Indianapolis site. It's just everybody's a Hoosier,
- 34:32Speaker 2: all right. It came from the came from the White House.
- 34:36Speaker 6: I'm a national champ. Yeah again two times.
- 34:41Speaker 3: I think we've renamed a couple because we decided that
- 34:44Speaker 3: they would sound better.
- 34:45Speaker 5: But I don't remember what it.
- 34:46Speaker 4: Was like La Bucky and yeah, one of them.
- 34:52Speaker 2: But sure, the you know, the federal government came down
- 34:54Speaker 2: and said, anybody in Indianapolis, no matter of the city
- 34:58Speaker 2: indian Nope, not at all. Who's your who's your?
- 35:07Speaker 6: That's tough, daddy.
- 35:09Speaker 2: Are you still typing over there, Jake? Have you figured
- 35:11Speaker 2: this out?
- 35:11Speaker 6: Is it just trying to figure this out? I'm trying
- 35:14Speaker 6: to figure this out. I think it said change. I
- 35:18Speaker 6: think it said it changed in two thousand and six
- 35:21Speaker 6: because of how dumb it was. But like you look
- 35:25Speaker 6: at the time zone, hap and it goes straight up
- 35:27Speaker 6: and then all of a sudden, it takes like a
- 35:28Speaker 6: hard left to miss Indianapolis and then goes like right
- 35:32Speaker 6: back to the right. It's like a triangle cut out
- 35:34Speaker 6: just for Indianapolis.
- 35:36Speaker 2: I don't know, like I think we not on purpose.
- 35:40Speaker 2: I don't think we might have just fact checked Jake.
- 35:44Speaker 2: We might have just checked him. I think they might
- 35:46Speaker 2: observe it. He's in the Eastern Times and he is
- 35:48Speaker 2: definitely an eastern time zone. I had always known Indianapolis
- 35:51Speaker 2: to be an Eastern.
- 35:52Speaker 6: Oh, here it goes. As of twenty twenty six, no
- 35:56Speaker 6: cities in Indiana opt out of daylight savings time since
- 35:59Speaker 6: a prol of two thousand and six. Now the entire state,
- 36:03Speaker 6: including Indianapolis and the twelve counties on Central Time, observed
- 36:09Speaker 6: daylight savings time. Before two thousand and six, most of
- 36:13Speaker 6: Indiana did not observe daylight savings times, which was a
- 36:16Speaker 6: long standing point of confusion. Yeah, no crap, But they
- 36:20Speaker 6: changed to align with the rest of the country. So
- 36:24Speaker 6: partially wrong, partially right. They once were on their own clock,
- 36:30Speaker 6: if you will, but it has since changed, so now
- 36:33Speaker 6: they're permanently in the Eastern time zone, where they used
- 36:36Speaker 6: to be half the year at Central, half the year
- 36:37Speaker 6: in Eastern.
- 36:39Speaker 2: Well, it's not the first time we've spread misinformation here
- 36:42Speaker 2: on this show.
- 36:43Speaker 6: Well, actually it's not misinformation. It happened. There was a thing.
- 36:48Speaker 6: It's not a thing anymore. That's what are we doing here, guys?
- 36:56Speaker 6: This is dumb. What are we doing?
- 37:01Speaker 2: I don't know, I don't know.
- 37:02Speaker 6: So it's like you ever seen Robin Hood men and
- 37:05Speaker 6: tights with Dave Chappelle. It's like like, we can't cross
- 37:09Speaker 6: this this body of water, and he's like, what are
- 37:12Speaker 6: we what are you talking about? It's like jumping back
- 37:14Speaker 6: and forth. It's not exactly the Great Mississip, like that's
- 37:17Speaker 6: how people fell. When they were in Indiana, they'd being
- 37:22Speaker 6: several times Zone on the right foot, Eastern time zone
- 37:24Speaker 6: on the left foot, and they were like, this is dumb.
- 37:26Speaker 6: We got to figure this out. We got to make
- 37:28Speaker 6: these changes. So I'm glad they did.
- 37:31Speaker 2: Yeah, there's a lot of dumb things out there, but
- 37:34Speaker 2: at least they got to figure it out. It's a
- 37:35Speaker 2: good job, and I'm glad we got this. This figured out,
- 37:37Speaker 2: this whole situation. So we're gonna be on Eastern.
- 37:39Speaker 6: Well, let me tell you, Nick Underhill thought he missed
- 37:42Speaker 6: the interview and he's still not due for seventeen more minutes.
- 37:46Speaker 6: So I'm glad we figured that out more than anything.
- 37:50Speaker 2: Uh, speaking of movies, quick off the top of your head,
- 37:53Speaker 2: we're going to get into this a little bit more
- 37:55Speaker 2: an hour three. What is your top couple war movies
- 38:01Speaker 2: of all time?
- 38:04Speaker 6: Dunkirk's my favorite, that's your favorite? I love it? I
- 38:10Speaker 6: love Dunkirk and I know I'm in the minority there,
- 38:13Speaker 6: but I love it.
- 38:14Speaker 3: Say I was a little, a little, just a little
- 38:17Speaker 3: underwhelmed by Duncan Harry Styles.
- 38:19Speaker 5: I love Harry Styles.
- 38:21Speaker 6: A lot of a lot of people say that, and
- 38:24Speaker 6: that's maybe the more popular opinion. I loved it. Me
- 38:29Speaker 6: and my me and my older brother went and saw it.
- 38:32Speaker 6: It was incredible. Still, I've watched Dunkirk like seventeen times. Hell,
- 38:39Speaker 6: I watched it on the plane on the way home
- 38:41Speaker 6: from the super Bowl this year, and if it was
- 38:44Speaker 6: if it's on the plane this year, I'll probably on
- 38:46Speaker 6: this trip, I'll watch it again.
- 38:47Speaker 2: I love it fair enough, So dunk Kirk number one.
- 38:52Speaker 2: So I'm trying to go through the list because there's
- 38:55Speaker 2: so many. It's like asking somebody what their favorite song is,
- 38:58Speaker 2: Like there's you know, there's there's no wrong answer in this.
- 39:01Speaker 2: I got three that popped off on the top of
- 39:03Speaker 2: my head were three male Gibson movies. It was Patriot,
- 39:09Speaker 2: The Patriot, Brave Heart, and we were Soldiers. Those are
- 39:11Speaker 2: like three that just popped in my head immediately. And
- 39:13Speaker 2: I think it's like some recency bias when we.
- 39:15Speaker 3: Were war Like wat Platoon is awesome, A great cast.
- 39:24Speaker 2: Yeah, because we had talked about first segment.
- 39:26Speaker 6: Any war movie Okay, not a movie, but.
- 39:30Speaker 3: Brothers is awesome.
- 39:31Speaker 2: Yeah, that's I mean, that's he can't specific Yeah, so
- 39:35Speaker 2: we in the first segment we had talked about, like,
- 39:38Speaker 2: if there's any topic to ever bring back a tier
- 39:40Speaker 2: list for, it would be like your favorite war movie
- 39:43Speaker 2: of all time and have a pretty nice conversation about it.
- 39:47Speaker 2: So like, yeah, I went a lot of mel Gibson,
- 39:50Speaker 2: like mel Gibson great and recency bias for me. We
- 39:52Speaker 2: were in uh last week when we were in Colorado's skin.
- 39:57Speaker 2: I'm sitting there and try to like get myself sleepy,
- 40:01Speaker 2: and I can't just like turn off the lights to night.
- 40:03Speaker 2: I gotta have something to plan. So you go to
- 40:05Speaker 2: like a new house, you go to a hotel, or
- 40:06Speaker 2: you go to we were in like a like a
- 40:08Speaker 2: rental house. So you're in a new TV and you're like, Okay,
- 40:12Speaker 2: they don't have like the cable setup, so you got
- 40:13Speaker 2: to log into your own Netflix or whatever it is,
- 40:16Speaker 2: and so you have to find something that way to
- 40:19Speaker 2: watch and like, all right, what's something I can just
- 40:21Speaker 2: like go to sleep too? And I turned on I
- 40:24Speaker 2: made a bad mistake and I put it on Brave
- 40:26Speaker 2: Heart and I was like, it's got like some good
- 40:29Speaker 2: like music in the background would be good soothing out man.
- 40:32Speaker 2: Three hours later, I'm watching them screen freedom.
- 40:36Speaker 6: Ye take.
- 40:39Speaker 2: That's right, and I'm watching them you have Freedom, and
- 40:42Speaker 2: it was I was crying. I was just emotional. It's
- 40:44Speaker 2: been a while since I've like watched it cover to
- 40:46Speaker 2: cover and it was fantastic.
- 40:48Speaker 3: Does Ingloria's Bastards count because that's okay, that is my
- 40:51Speaker 3: favorite of all time war movie.
- 40:55Speaker 6: Count zero thirty.
- 40:57Speaker 4: Yeah, it takes place during wartime jags, you know, thirty
- 41:00Speaker 4: definitely counts. Yeah, those based in a military operation black.
- 41:04Speaker 2: Hawk Down, black Hawk Down, great saving Private Ryan. Do
- 41:07Speaker 2: we say that? Yeah? I did. Yeah, she'll ever watch
- 41:11Speaker 2: like the old I think it's like ten hour movie.
- 41:13Speaker 2: Uh Gettysburg. I think they used to used to go
- 41:18Speaker 2: rent it, like you rented at like Blockbuster or something,
- 41:21Speaker 2: and it was five VHS tapes. It's like a stack
- 41:25Speaker 2: of them like this. It's like, yeah, I'm gonna rent
- 41:28Speaker 2: this baby, not bringing it back in two days though.
- 41:30Speaker 2: Get ready for that late fee.
- 41:31Speaker 6: Yeah, that's right. The greatest skate I mean classic, So
- 41:38Speaker 6: the last of the Mohicans.
- 41:39Speaker 2: If we're going war, Yeah, that's it's fantastic, Lewis.
- 41:43Speaker 3: How about three hundred three hundred fire?
- 41:47Speaker 2: Absolutely there, I mean, I mean, there's there's I mean
- 41:52Speaker 2: that counts a little Roy definitely counts.
- 41:56Speaker 3: Uh.
- 41:56Speaker 6: The first thirty minutes of Full Metal Jacket, Yeah, I'm
- 41:59Speaker 6: not wait, the entire movie, but by god, the first
- 42:02Speaker 6: thirty minutes.
- 42:05Speaker 4: Right, once they're done with basic, it goes downhill.
- 42:09Speaker 5: But yeah, from the beginning to that it's awesome.
- 42:13Speaker 6: Actually, actually the helicopter scene and then it goes downhill. Yeah, yeah,
- 42:19Speaker 6: I mean it's you know, it's pretty harsh, but it's
- 42:22Speaker 6: you know, electric factory.
- 42:23Speaker 2: All right. Hey, look a little bit of clock integrity here.
- 42:26Speaker 2: We're going to at least try to finish this segment
- 42:29Speaker 2: and have at least a two minute segment coming back
- 42:31Speaker 2: from Grape. But first I want to tell you about

- 43:58Speaker 2: eighties music. Got Jacob Hesser live on a split screen
- 44:05Speaker 2: with us. I think for what do you go this
- 44:07Speaker 2: last segment with us?
- 44:10Speaker 6: Yeah, you got Nick coming up there about.
- 44:12Speaker 2: Yeah, good little Saints action happening.
- 44:14Speaker 6: Hey, he's also in, as I told.
- 44:17Speaker 2: You, Okay, he's a little screwed up on the time.
- 44:20Speaker 6: A little screwed up all the time, so make sure
- 44:22Speaker 6: you give him a hard time. And then you know
- 44:24Speaker 6: he's got his ear to the ground, so he probably
- 44:26Speaker 6: already knows who the Saints are drafting.
- 44:29Speaker 2: I was just looking at the combine schedule and the
- 44:32Speaker 2: combin has changed a little bit since you and I
- 44:34Speaker 2: were there. We thought it was long before.
- 44:36Speaker 6: Well that was twenty years ago.
- 44:38Speaker 2: So yeah, just a little bit. I mean we're pretty young, uh,
- 44:42Speaker 2: running backs, quarterbacks, wide receivers. They register today, it's their orientation.
- 44:47Speaker 2: They have team interviews starting today, their on field workouts,
- 44:51Speaker 2: Jake Saturday, Today's Tuesday. That's four nights until our on
- 44:57Speaker 2: field workout. You know what they bent. They don't BNCH
- 45:00Speaker 2: press until Sunday, So well you know what you knew.
- 45:06Speaker 6: Who ain't gonna be here on Sunday.
- 45:08Speaker 2: Boy, So you ain't not going to be seeing how
- 45:10Speaker 2: Nusmyer's spending that day. But how ridiculous is that they
- 45:14Speaker 2: come in on a Tuesday and they don't get on
- 45:17Speaker 2: the field till Saturday. I think, I think you and
- 45:21Speaker 2: I we went, we had to. It was three nights,
- 45:23Speaker 2: which seemed like a long time. This is four nights
- 45:25Speaker 2: before they get on the field, and then they got
- 45:27Speaker 2: to wait another night to like finish out their bench
- 45:30Speaker 2: press and depart and all that good stuff, which is, uh,
- 45:33Speaker 2: that's wild behavior. I don't know what you can get
- 45:35Speaker 2: accomplished then, but Jake, we appreciate the time. Buddy, good
- 45:38Speaker 2: luck this week. We'll see you on the other side.
- 45:41Speaker 6: I see you tomorrow.
- 45:44Speaker 1: Off the bench
