- 0:01Speaker 1: You're listening to Hawk Talk with former Seahawks wide receiver
- 0:05Speaker 1: Michael Bumpus at the ten yard lives, second and eight
- 0:08Speaker 1: free wide receivers. Now in motion is Bumpas left to right,
- 0:11Speaker 1: Julius Jones a single setback Matt Pumpfe's looking at the
- 0:14Speaker 1: goal line. He throws it into the end zone. Touchdown.
- 0:17Speaker 1: Say Hawks, it's Michael Bumpas with a diving catching the
- 0:21Speaker 1: end zone. Our ten yard touchdown reception for Bumpus, and
- 0:25Speaker 1: the kid out of Washington State has found himself a
- 0:29Speaker 1: place on this team. Powered by Seahawks dot Com. What
- 0:35Speaker 1: of twelve. This is Hawk Talk Preview edition, Week seven.
- 0:37Speaker 1: I'm Michael Bumps along with Nasa chobying. Like we usually do,
- 0:41Speaker 1: Let's check out the injury updates before we get into
- 0:43Speaker 1: this thing. Thanks bump Well. Bad news. Safety lanham Hill
- 0:47Speaker 1: was placed on injured reserve with a back injury that's
- 0:50Speaker 1: kept him out the past three games. Filling a spot
- 0:52Speaker 1: will be veteran safety to Marius Randall. Now, Randall, you
- 0:55Speaker 1: guys will remember it was activated the last two weeks
- 0:57Speaker 1: from the practice squad and was active in the last
- 0:59Speaker 1: two all games, but now has an official spot on
- 1:01Speaker 1: the fifty three man roster. The Seahawks also added a
- 1:04Speaker 1: pair of veteran linebackers to the practice squad, signing Michael Kendricks,
- 1:08Speaker 1: a fourteen game starter for the Seahawks last season, and
- 1:11Speaker 1: Ray Ray Armstrong, an eight year veteran who's appeared in
- 1:13Speaker 1: eighty four games during his career. Now, in terms of
- 1:16Speaker 1: the other injuries, the Seahawks are in relatively good shape
- 1:19Speaker 1: when it comes to that. The bye week definitely helped
- 1:21Speaker 1: out on that front. So Pete Carroll's up to the
- 1:23Speaker 1: podium and provided some updates on the status of Jordan
- 1:26Speaker 1: Brooks as well as Jamal Adams. Jordan is that practice.
- 1:30Speaker 1: We'll be at practice today and Jamal will hold out.
- 1:34Speaker 1: We need more information there so and each one of
- 1:37Speaker 1: these are just one day at a time, see what happens,
- 1:39Speaker 1: and then see what happens the next day. Guys, you return,
- 1:42Speaker 1: so we won't really know anything till later in the week.
- 1:45Speaker 1: What more information are you seeking regarding Jamal's injury? Well,
- 1:49Speaker 1: whether he's full speed or not? All right, Bobbin, Before
- 1:51Speaker 1: we get going, just a reminder The Pete Carroll Show
- 1:54Speaker 1: on Cairo Radio on seven ten ESPN your home for
- 1:56Speaker 1: the Seattle Seahawks and the Pete Carroll Show Here from
- 1:59Speaker 1: the Seahawks head coach on KIRO Radio Blue Fridays at
- 2:02Speaker 1: eight fifteen and twelve fifteen, and don't miss Pete Carroll
- 2:04Speaker 1: on seven ten ESPN Seattle at nine thirty the morning
- 2:08Speaker 1: after the game with Danny and Gallant and Michael Bumpus.
- 2:11Speaker 1: But it is week seven and the Seahawks got the
- 2:13Speaker 1: Arizona Cardinals coming up. Who's nets, Who's nets? Who's next?
- 2:24Speaker 1: It is the Arizona Cardinals. There are four and two,
- 2:26Speaker 1: second place place in the NFC West. Now they have
- 2:30Speaker 1: wins against San Francisco Week one, the Washington football Team
- 2:33Speaker 1: Week two, couple losses in between to the Carolina Panthers
- 2:37Speaker 1: and Detroit Lions, and then finish it off with the
- 2:40Speaker 1: Jets in the Dallas nas. I look at this schedule
- 2:42Speaker 1: and I'm like, are there wins and losses? That first
- 2:45Speaker 1: week against San Fran. We're like, oh, man, Arizona Cardinals,
- 2:47Speaker 1: they might be nice. They beat San Fran and then
- 2:50Speaker 1: you kind of look where San Fran is now, there's
- 2:52Speaker 1: a They stumbled a bit towards the middle of their
- 2:55Speaker 1: their schedule. The first five or six games, But the
- 2:57Speaker 1: last game they seem like they're getting back on track.
- 3:00Speaker 1: How do you feel about that win? Is that an
- 3:01Speaker 1: impressive win to you? That that Niners game? I mean,
- 3:05Speaker 1: looking at it now, the Niners were three and three.
- 3:08Speaker 1: The first one, actually, I still think was an impressive
- 3:10Speaker 1: win because that was before the Niners completely fell off
- 3:12Speaker 1: the wagonwell those injuries. That was before everyone went down.
- 3:15Speaker 1: That was before Bosa went down, Thomas went down, Sherman
- 3:18Speaker 1: went down, Kittle was gone for a little bit of
- 3:20Speaker 1: time before Garoppa went down. So it was a good
- 3:22Speaker 1: start for them. So I still value that win. The
- 3:24Speaker 1: Washington football team, the NFC East is a dumpster file.
- 3:28Speaker 1: I'll just call it like it is, So that's not
- 3:31Speaker 1: a great win. Detroit has been struggling, so that's actually
- 3:33Speaker 1: a bad loss. Carolina is okay, they're kind of the
- 3:35Speaker 1: middle of the pack of the NFC. The Jets are
- 3:38Speaker 1: what they are. But bomb Man Monday night was an
- 3:42Speaker 1: absolute beat down against Dallas for sixty minutes all game long. Yeah.
- 3:49Speaker 1: The shotgun formation is Kyler Murray. It was the number
- 3:52Speaker 1: one overall pick out of Oklahoma at his own twenty.
- 3:56Speaker 1: There's the snap fake candoff props back further, got up
- 4:00Speaker 1: from the center, winds up, long pass always got Kirk
- 4:02Speaker 1: comet catch to the forty. Come remember it's the thirty
- 4:05Speaker 1: chase to the twenty to ten to five touchdown Arizona
- 4:11Speaker 1: eighty yard bomb. What I catch? Christian Kirk takes it
- 4:17Speaker 1: to the house. Emma, Cardinals are stunning the Cowboys twenty
- 4:23Speaker 1: to nothing. Now that was an adyr bomb. Nice play,
- 4:27Speaker 1: Kyla Murray drops a dime. But it was really all
- 4:30Speaker 1: about to turnovers this game. The Cowboys had four two
- 4:33Speaker 1: interceptions and two fumbles by Ezekiel Elliott. And when you
- 4:38Speaker 1: turn the ball over, you just put your offense, your
- 4:40Speaker 1: whole team, and just your defense. You're offen, your special teams.
- 4:42Speaker 1: Everyone is put in compromising situations. Cowboys, can that execute
- 4:47Speaker 1: at all? You got Andy Dalton in the game. I
- 4:50Speaker 1: heard somebody say, I'm not even gonna say his name,
- 4:52Speaker 1: but someone who has a big voice on ESPN set
- 4:54Speaker 1: that they might be better with Andy Dalton. And I
- 4:56Speaker 1: might have texted you, I might have tweeted about it,
- 4:59Speaker 1: and I'm just like, you must be crazy. I mean,
- 5:03Speaker 1: come on, now, come on. Dak Prescott was playing at
- 5:07Speaker 1: i mean, not quite the level Russell was, but he
- 5:09Speaker 1: was right there. He was in the MVP conversation how
- 5:11Speaker 1: well he was playing. That's a joke. I mean, here's
- 5:13Speaker 1: the deal. Any Dalton is not a terrible quarterback. He
- 5:16Speaker 1: was good in Cincinnati for a certain nutt of years,
- 5:18Speaker 1: got them to the playoffs all you know, five years
- 5:20Speaker 1: in a row. So this isn't a knock on any Dalton.
- 5:22Speaker 1: This is more about are you kidding me? Dak Prescott
- 5:25Speaker 1: is their franchise quarterback and they are not the same
- 5:28Speaker 1: team without him. And it showed on Monday night. It
- 5:32Speaker 1: showed on Monday night. Here's the drive chart Cowboys punt punt, fumble, fumble, punt,
- 5:37Speaker 1: field goal interception, missfield goal interception, touchdown, and then turnover
- 5:42Speaker 1: on downs. They just couldn't get anything going. And Kyler
- 5:45Speaker 1: Murdy didn't even play his best game. Nine to twenty four,
- 5:48Speaker 1: one hundred eighty eight yards, two passing touchdowns, ran for
- 5:51Speaker 1: seventy four yards, had one rushing touchdown. This guy has
- 5:54Speaker 1: six rushing touchdowns in the league. I believe that second
- 5:58Speaker 1: Kyler didn't play his best game, yet they smack down
- 6:00Speaker 1: the Cowboys, no, no question about it. And the thing
- 6:02Speaker 1: about it too is like, when you can beat a
- 6:05Speaker 1: team thirty eight to ten, when you're starting quarterback goes
- 6:07Speaker 1: nine to twenty four, I mean you're doing something right.
- 6:10Speaker 1: And the Cowboys they had four turnovers, they really should
- 6:12Speaker 1: have had five. They dropped in interception late, So I
- 6:15Speaker 1: mean it was just a beat down from start to finish.
- 6:17Speaker 1: But the one question out for you is do you
- 6:19Speaker 1: think what we saw on that game was more about
- 6:21Speaker 1: Arizona making plays and taking that game, or more about
- 6:24Speaker 1: Dallas is shooting himself in the foot and not getting
- 6:26Speaker 1: out of their own way. It was more about Dallas.
- 6:30Speaker 1: You fumbled the ball twice. Ezekiel Elliott, he's the one
- 6:33Speaker 1: who's supposed to kind of leave the charge now that
- 6:35Speaker 1: Dak Prescott has gone. He fumbles the ball twice, you're
- 6:38Speaker 1: setting yourself up a failure. And then just Andy Dalton,
- 6:41Speaker 1: he was forced to throw the ball a bunch of
- 6:43Speaker 1: times because they were down. I just don't think he
- 6:45Speaker 1: was ready for this moment. I don't think he's a
- 6:47Speaker 1: bad quarterback. I just don't think he was ready. Kenyan
- 6:50Speaker 1: Drake he balled out though he had one hundred and
- 6:51Speaker 1: sixty four rushing yards on twenty carries and two touchdowns,
- 6:54Speaker 1: one win for sixty nine yards. I had to look
- 6:57Speaker 1: this up. These guys are like top five I've been
- 7:00Speaker 1: rushing in the NFL this year. I didn't realize the
- 7:02Speaker 1: Cardinals were running the ball that well this year. Well
- 7:04Speaker 1: that's the thing. No one would think about that. With
- 7:05Speaker 1: Cliff Kingsbury as your head coach and what they do,
- 7:07Speaker 1: and coming from the air raid background in Texas tack
- 7:10Speaker 1: and Mike Leash and all that stuff, you never think
- 7:11Speaker 1: about running the football. But they can run the pill now.
- 7:13Speaker 1: I mean their offense to their total offense is they're
- 7:16Speaker 1: getting four hundred and two yards games, so their fifth
- 7:18Speaker 1: in the NFL in total offense and then their fourth,
- 7:20Speaker 1: like you mentioned, in rush offense, getting one hundred and
- 7:23Speaker 1: sixty one yards on the ground player game. And obviously
- 7:25Speaker 1: that's Kenyan Drake and it's also Kyler Murray doing his
- 7:27Speaker 1: thing on the ground. Kyler Murray doing his thing, he
- 7:30Speaker 1: is dangerous. I was on Danny and Gallant and I
- 7:32Speaker 1: made a bull statement. I say, man, Kyler might be
- 7:34Speaker 1: the most talented quarterback in the league, not the best,
- 7:37Speaker 1: not stat wise. I'm looking at the way he runs
- 7:40Speaker 1: in his arm. I asked Brock heward, he goes, Nah, Bob,
- 7:43Speaker 1: I don't think so, but I can see why you
- 7:44Speaker 1: could think that he scares me. I'm like, look, he can.
- 7:47Speaker 1: When it comes to running the ball as a quarterback,
- 7:49Speaker 1: Lamar is the best, right whose second? It has to
- 7:52Speaker 1: be Kyler Murray. When it comes to arm strength and
- 7:54Speaker 1: armed talent, obviously Pat Mahomes is the best. But I
- 7:57Speaker 1: think Kyler can throw any any route, any ball on
- 8:00Speaker 1: the football field. He can get it done too. There
- 8:02Speaker 1: are guys who have strong arms. I just look at
- 8:04Speaker 1: what he presents, and it's going to be a challenge.
- 8:07Speaker 1: You have to contain this guy. Like I mentioned, he
- 8:09Speaker 1: has six rushing touchdowns as a quarterback. They have design
- 8:12Speaker 1: runs for this dude. You have to rally to the football.
- 8:15Speaker 1: You have to wrap this guy up. No, Kyler, And
- 8:19Speaker 1: the thing about it that scares you was, like you said,
- 8:21Speaker 1: he might not be playing consistent football at the moment
- 8:24Speaker 1: every week to week, but his talent, his skill set,
- 8:27Speaker 1: and it's his burst too. I mean when you watch
- 8:28Speaker 1: him run the football, I mean when he gets out,
- 8:30Speaker 1: he put his foot in the ground and goes it's
- 8:32Speaker 1: it's a long time. It's a long day for your defense.
- 8:34Speaker 1: You might need to have a QB spy to try
- 8:36Speaker 1: to keep him in chat. Kind of reminds you of
- 8:37Speaker 1: a young Russell Wilson in twenty twelve, thirteen fourteen. So
- 8:40Speaker 1: Kyler is definitely fun to watch. I just look at
- 8:43Speaker 1: a couple of these numbers. Total defense, the Cardinals are thirteenth,
- 8:46Speaker 1: the Hawks are thirty second. Rush defense, the Hawks are seventh,
- 8:50Speaker 1: the Arizona Cardinals are seventeen. This is where the Hawks
- 8:53Speaker 1: have to shine again. They have to be the seventh
- 8:56Speaker 1: ranked rush defense in the NFL to contain these guys.
- 8:59Speaker 1: And we didn't even mentioned the guys on outside and
- 9:01Speaker 1: he still got Hopkins out there. Isabella Kirk I said,
- 9:05Speaker 1: I think I tweeted the other day that they might
- 9:07Speaker 1: have the fastest receiving corps in the NFL with them. Obviously,
- 9:11Speaker 1: Twitter claps back and they're like, hold on, above, you
- 9:12Speaker 1: still got DK four to three, you got locking for four,
- 9:15Speaker 1: you have doors set four to three. I'm all right, okay,
- 9:18Speaker 1: but they are definitely definitely in the conversation now. Penalties.
- 9:23Speaker 1: Arizona Cardinals are the most penalized team in the NFL.
- 9:27Speaker 1: They need to keep that rolling. Photies Hawks. Yeah, they've
- 9:29Speaker 1: been penalized fourteen nine times this year for three hundred
- 9:33Speaker 1: and sixty eight yards. And you know, typically over the years,
- 9:36Speaker 1: even as good the best team's Pete Carroll had, the
- 9:38Speaker 1: Seahawks have usually been a pretty high penalized team. This year,
- 9:41Speaker 1: they're about middle of the pack. They only got twenty
- 9:43Speaker 1: three penalties for one hundred and sixty nine yards, and
- 9:45Speaker 1: I think you can chalk that up to a lot
- 9:47Speaker 1: of fewer penalties on the offensive line than we've had
- 9:49Speaker 1: in past years. Hey, they're cleaning they're cleaning it up.
- 9:52Speaker 1: All right, Let's get to know this team versus Seahawks
- 9:56Speaker 1: and know your history. No your history. So these teams
- 10:01Speaker 1: have a long history together. This is going to be
- 10:03Speaker 1: the forty third meeting between two clubs. Seahawks narrowly holding
- 10:07Speaker 1: that lead advantage twenty one to twenty and one. I
- 10:10Speaker 1: hate that stupid one because I remember that tie that
- 10:13Speaker 1: Sunday night football game in twenty sixteen, because it just
- 10:15Speaker 1: ruins all the record books and it's always gonna be there,
- 10:18Speaker 1: but it happened. But honestly, it's about the road team
- 10:21Speaker 1: in this matchup. So Seattle has not lost at Arizona
- 10:24Speaker 1: since twenty twelve, Russell Wilson's first career game. So they
- 10:28Speaker 1: hold a six zero and one record in the last
- 10:30Speaker 1: seven meetings in Phoenix. Unfortunately, on the flip side, Arizona
- 10:34Speaker 1: is somehow one of the few teams has consistently found
- 10:37Speaker 1: success up in Seattle, carrying a five and two record
- 10:40Speaker 1: in its last seven trips the Pacific Northwest. That's odd.
- 10:44Speaker 1: They were one of the few teams them in the
- 10:46Speaker 1: Rams are the few teams that come in here. They
- 10:47Speaker 1: don't care about the twelves. They don't care out Central
- 10:49Speaker 1: Link if its reigning, what if it's cloudy outside. Something
- 10:52Speaker 1: about this team allows them to play well. So if
- 10:55Speaker 1: we're going off the history, we're trying to know our history,
- 10:58Speaker 1: we're learning about this thing. Hey, it's got a baby.
- 11:00Speaker 1: You just go down to Arizona, get it done, and
- 11:02Speaker 1: come back with a dub. That's what they do. They
- 11:04Speaker 1: handled their business down there at the last meeting. You
- 11:06Speaker 1: don't need to talk about it much. The Seahawks lost
- 11:08Speaker 1: at Century Link Glass December. It was a tough day
- 11:10Speaker 1: because we lost Chris Carson s day pro size Twayne
- 11:12Speaker 1: Brown in play. But the only caveats read to get
- 11:15Speaker 1: sebast mode for a couple more games in the Seahawk uniform.
- 11:18Speaker 1: But as you said, it's all about the road game,
- 11:20Speaker 1: and the Seahawks are in Arizona, so we're looking forward
- 11:22Speaker 1: to them getting it done this weekend. Get it done
- 11:25Speaker 1: in Glendale. Fellas, Let's check up on the NFC West
- 11:28Speaker 1: and what's the word in the West and the Seahawks
- 11:36Speaker 1: or the NFC West champs again, what's the word in
- 11:39Speaker 1: the West? On Hot Talk? That's the word in the West.
- 11:44Speaker 1: I'll tell you what the word is. Hawks of five
- 11:46Speaker 1: and oh Rams of four and two, Carners of four
- 11:48Speaker 1: and two, Frisco is three and three. NFC West is
- 11:52Speaker 1: still proving to be the best division in football, and
- 11:56Speaker 1: it was looking a shaky for a minute just because
- 11:58Speaker 1: of the four nine is. We didn't know what to
- 12:01Speaker 1: expect with the forty nine ers to have a bunch
- 12:02Speaker 1: of injuries. They battled back three losses, but they're still
- 12:07Speaker 1: in the mix. This is still the toughest division in football. No,
- 12:10Speaker 1: and the numbers backed it up. So the NFC West
- 12:13Speaker 1: has the most wins as a combined division and the
- 12:16Speaker 1: NFC at sixteen, or excuse me, the NFL at sixteen.
- 12:18Speaker 1: The next closest division is AFC North with fifteen And
- 12:22Speaker 1: just a reminder about how good this division is and
- 12:24Speaker 1: how the gap between some of the other divisions the
- 12:27Speaker 1: NFC East, their combined to win total is five. That's
- 12:32Speaker 1: how many the Seahawks have. That is four teams Estallas, Philly, Washington.
- 12:36Speaker 1: I mean, come on now, the Giants. So this division
- 12:39Speaker 1: is definitely one of the best in the league or
- 12:42Speaker 1: the best division league in our opinion. The numbers backed
- 12:44Speaker 1: that up. And really, since the Seahawks were playing the Cardinals,
- 12:48Speaker 1: the only game that we have to look back on
- 12:49Speaker 1: was the rams In forty nine Ers last Sunday night,
- 12:53Speaker 1: Rams In forty nine Ers. Man, Jimmy g Man, he
- 12:55Speaker 1: impressed me. He bounced back. He impressed me. You know,
- 12:57Speaker 1: after being pulled against Miami, Jimmy bounced back. He had
- 13:00Speaker 1: two hundred and six to a yards passing, three touchdowns
- 13:03Speaker 1: and most importantly no interceptions. Now he was able. I
- 13:07Speaker 1: feel like he was able to execute because he got
- 13:09Speaker 1: his boys back, got George kittleback, Deebo Samuel was out there,
- 13:13Speaker 1: moster was out there for most of the game. He
- 13:14Speaker 1: got banged up. He's on ir now, but he was
- 13:17Speaker 1: able to execute plays that he likes, those crossing patterns,
- 13:20Speaker 1: those five to ten yards so as Paul Morier would say,
- 13:24Speaker 1: those inside number numbers, ty routes. If you ask him
- 13:27Speaker 1: to do the things that he's good at, he's an
- 13:29Speaker 1: alright quarterback. You just can't ask him to go on
- 13:32Speaker 1: seventeen play drives, throw the ball deep, rollout, hit the sideline.
- 13:36Speaker 1: Nash is not his game. No, it's not his game.
- 13:37Speaker 1: Like you mentioned Paul talks about all the time. He's
- 13:39Speaker 1: not gonna he's not gonna hurt you outside the numbers.
- 13:41Speaker 1: He's not like Russell Wilson. He's not gonna kill you
- 13:43Speaker 1: on these deep routes. He's gonna do his damage underneath
- 13:45Speaker 1: all those crossing routes you mentioned. But yeah, he played
- 13:48Speaker 1: well and the protection was well for him. But tell him.
- 13:51Speaker 1: You know what I don't get though, Bump. I can't
- 13:52Speaker 1: figure out the Rams Man. So there are four and two.
- 13:55Speaker 1: We know they're talented, we know we have some of
- 13:56Speaker 1: the best players in the league, but honestly, this just
- 13:58Speaker 1: can't figure them out because they're up in down. I
- 14:00Speaker 1: feel like they played out of their competition at times.
- 14:02Speaker 1: They will always play the Seahawks off. No matter what.
- 14:04Speaker 1: I don't care if they're going fifteen or the fifteen
- 14:06Speaker 1: and oh but I just can't put a finger on him.
- 14:08Speaker 1: Man me either man and Jared Goff. Sometimes he looks
- 14:11Speaker 1: like a really good quarterback and then he looks average.
- 14:13Speaker 1: He was nineteen for thirty eight, one ninety eight yards,
- 14:16Speaker 1: two touchdowns and one pick, not a horrible game. But
- 14:20Speaker 1: he'll put up some godly numbers one week and then
- 14:23Speaker 1: he'll look just really average on other weeks. I wonder
- 14:27Speaker 1: what the chemistry is like as of now between him
- 14:31Speaker 1: and mcveay. I'm sure the relationship is fine. But when
- 14:34Speaker 1: I see a quarterback O nineteen for thirty eight and
- 14:38Speaker 1: play the way that he's played, I mean, it leads
- 14:40Speaker 1: me to wonder what conversations are like with him and
- 14:42Speaker 1: McBay because that honeymoon period is gone. Oh yeah, when
- 14:45Speaker 1: they came out and they were doing whenever they wanted
- 14:47Speaker 1: to do. Todd Gurley was doing his theme now was
- 14:50Speaker 1: like McBey, you got a coach and Jared Goff you
- 14:53Speaker 1: have to lead. And I just don't see a really
- 14:56Speaker 1: solid leader in Jared Goff. Good football player, not knocking
- 14:59Speaker 1: him better. Hap he's in the top fifteen quarterbacks in
- 15:02Speaker 1: the league for sure, but leadership means a lot. Yeah,
- 15:05Speaker 1: it's it's a weird thing. And there'll be times where
- 15:07Speaker 1: you just leave you scratching your head a little be
- 15:08Speaker 1: throws and you'll be like, you're way too talented to
- 15:11Speaker 1: be making that throw. So it's it's it's bizarre. We
- 15:13Speaker 1: know how involved with Ron mcvay's with their offense. We
- 15:15Speaker 1: know he's a genius when it comes to calm plays.
- 15:17Speaker 1: But yeah, man, they got to figure it out. It's
- 15:19Speaker 1: gonna be They're gonna be an interesting team to watch
- 15:21Speaker 1: as the season goes along, especially because of what this
- 15:25Speaker 1: divisions like in the next five weeks are going to
- 15:27Speaker 1: be incredibly difficult for the Seahawks. But you know what,
- 15:30Speaker 1: we're focusing on the Arizona Cardinals. It's time to man up?
- 15:35Speaker 1: Is this mass this man up? On Hawk Talk? Well, mom,
- 15:45Speaker 1: there's one guy. We've already mentioned him a lot, but
- 15:48Speaker 1: you can't look past this because everything the Cardinals do
- 15:51Speaker 1: begins and ends with this guy. Kyler Murray gone up
- 15:54Speaker 1: against that Seahawk defense man, Kyler Murray. Kyler Murray inconsistent
- 16:00Speaker 1: at times, but always a threat. Like mentioned, well, we
- 16:05Speaker 1: didn't mention this, but he's one hundred thirty five for
- 16:07Speaker 1: two y five fourteen hundred and eighty seven yards, ten
- 16:10Speaker 1: touchdowns and six picks. But the way he can hurt
- 16:14Speaker 1: you the most, now he only has three hundred and
- 16:16Speaker 1: seventy rush yards, but it's crucial. It's on third downs.
- 16:19Speaker 1: It's when plays break down. There's no defense or a
- 16:23Speaker 1: guy who is just faster than everybody on the football field. No,
- 16:26Speaker 1: there's not watching film against Dallas. The thing that jumps
- 16:29Speaker 1: off the page is how explosive is and how quick
- 16:31Speaker 1: he is because they'll do a ton of stuff right.
- 16:33Speaker 1: I think Kingsbury's very creative in his play calls. But
- 16:36Speaker 1: like you look at their design runs, they'll they'll spread
- 16:38Speaker 1: you out, they go one back in the backfield and
- 16:41Speaker 1: then he'll take He'll take one step, boom, put that
- 16:43Speaker 1: foot in the ground and he is gone. There'll be
- 16:45Speaker 1: times where you're like, oh, you got the angle on him,
- 16:47Speaker 1: but he'll get out there for ten yards, burn you
- 16:48Speaker 1: on third and ten. Whatever it is. So he's incredibly
- 16:51Speaker 1: dynamic and talented and he's going to scare you on
- 16:53Speaker 1: some of those design QB draws. I think you have
- 16:56Speaker 1: to put prussure on him. He showed last week that
- 16:58Speaker 1: he can be inconsistent nine for twelve four I think
- 17:00Speaker 1: the number was, and he's falling off of his throws. Mechanically,
- 17:03Speaker 1: he has some things to work on. I spoke to
- 17:05Speaker 1: brock Hewart and that was his He says he has
- 17:08Speaker 1: a long wind up, says it takes a long time
- 17:10Speaker 1: for him to get the ball out. But if he's
- 17:12Speaker 1: on point, if he's seeing, if he's believing what he's seeing,
- 17:15Speaker 1: he's good. I broke down filming for this guy. If
- 17:16Speaker 1: you want to play his own defense against him, what
- 17:18Speaker 1: they're gonna do is Kingsburg is gonna put a guy
- 17:20Speaker 1: in motion so Kyla Murray can identify if his man
- 17:23Speaker 1: or not. And you gotta watch Larry in the slot.
- 17:26Speaker 1: It's crazy how Larry went from this outside receiver and
- 17:28Speaker 1: then transformed in his old age to this slot guy.
- 17:31Speaker 1: And when you have a guy who really understands what
- 17:32Speaker 1: defenses are doing, it helps a quarterback like Kyler Murray.
- 17:36Speaker 1: He has a safety blanket when it comes to that
- 17:38Speaker 1: short stuff and he can still let that thing rep
- 17:40Speaker 1: and take you over the top. No, and like you mentioned,
- 17:43Speaker 1: Colin Murray, he's he's not playing in one hundred percent
- 17:46Speaker 1: consistent level, but he really has improved a lot from
- 17:49Speaker 1: year one to year two. And we talked to coach
- 17:52Speaker 1: Cliff Kingsbury on the conference call this morning and he
- 17:54Speaker 1: talked about that exactly, that how Colin Murray has really
- 17:57Speaker 1: improved going into second year. Definitely, it hasn't been on
- 17:59Speaker 1: a saying of our scheme, what we're trying to accomplish.
- 18:03Speaker 1: I think the number one thing I've seen is how
- 18:05Speaker 1: he's reduced the negative plays. We took quite a few
- 18:09Speaker 1: unnecessary saccess here, just trying to do too much, trying
- 18:12Speaker 1: to extend plays, which is part of his game, but
- 18:14Speaker 1: you gotta know when when the parties that were wanting
- 18:16Speaker 1: to throw it away and not take that negative play
- 18:18Speaker 1: on first and second down, and that's really helped us offensively.
- 18:21Speaker 1: So bum what how does he compare? I know it's
- 18:25Speaker 1: like an easy comparison, right because he's a smaller quarterback,
- 18:28Speaker 1: he's African American, he can scramble, his athletic he has
- 18:31Speaker 1: a great arm strength. But how does he compare to
- 18:33Speaker 1: Russell Wilson. I think at this point of his career,
- 18:37Speaker 1: Russell was better one. He had a better defense behind him.
- 18:41Speaker 1: That's what he's going to help. All about the run,
- 18:43Speaker 1: that's going to help as well. And mechanically, Russell Russell's
- 18:47Speaker 1: always seemed like a technician when it comes as mechanics,
- 18:50Speaker 1: shoulders are level, always has a good base easy followed
- 18:54Speaker 1: through with Kyler Murray. He is so physically talented, and
- 18:58Speaker 1: I'm gonna say this, basically more talented than Russell Wilson.
- 19:02Speaker 1: But Russell is such a technician with his consistency, his
- 19:06Speaker 1: delivery that that's what makes him makes him better at
- 19:09Speaker 1: this point his career, his second year in the NFL.
- 19:12Speaker 1: But Kyler has maybe bigger playability at this moment in
- 19:17Speaker 1: his career because he has a DeAndre Hopkins, he has
- 19:20Speaker 1: an offensive coordinator who's going to allow him to throw
- 19:22Speaker 1: the football when Russell his second year game manager and
- 19:26Speaker 1: hand the ball off, let's run these quick games. So
- 19:28Speaker 1: he wasn't really allowed to flourish. But they're similar because
- 19:33Speaker 1: all the things that you just mentioned. But there's no
- 19:35Speaker 1: comparison man Russell Wilson. I mean, you can't compare anybody
- 19:39Speaker 1: to Russell Wilson right now. Pat Mahomes is in the mix, yes,
- 19:41Speaker 1: but it just looks different it feels different Russell. It's
- 19:43Speaker 1: just on a different planet. Russell is who he is.
- 19:45Speaker 1: And honestly, Kyler Murray, obviously he's worked his tail off,
- 19:49Speaker 1: he's balled out at Oklahoma and never lost a game
- 19:52Speaker 1: in high school in Texas. But if there's no Russell Wilson,
- 19:55Speaker 1: there's no Kyler Murray straight up. I mean, he doesn't
- 19:58Speaker 1: get drafted number one over with his height and his
- 20:01Speaker 1: no not at all. So both good quarterbacks, but definitely
- 20:04Speaker 1: Kyle Murray owes his respects to number three. For sure,
- 20:07Speaker 1: Yes he does. And the next matchup we're looking and
- 20:10Speaker 1: talking about number three is Russell Wilson versed this cardinal defense. Now,
- 20:15Speaker 1: he is the best player in the league right now.
- 20:17Speaker 1: He's one hundred twenty three for one sixty nine fifteen
- 20:20Speaker 1: hundred yards, nine touchdowns and just three interceptions. What's that?
- 20:25Speaker 1: Nineteen touchdowns? Oh, I'm sorry, nineteen touchdowns nineteen just three
- 20:29Speaker 1: interceptions and one of those was his fault. I feel
- 20:32Speaker 1: other two you can give that to the recipient. But
- 20:36Speaker 1: he's playing like an MVP, and he is the one
- 20:40Speaker 1: guy that I feel like, no matter what is happening,
- 20:43Speaker 1: is the same. He's levelheaded, the whole time. I've heard
- 20:46Speaker 1: him on Bill Simmons. I believe it's that. The podcast too,
- 20:48Speaker 1: was just on. I got my son reading his book
- 20:51Speaker 1: about this thinking neutral right now that stuff works. I
- 20:55Speaker 1: wasn't able to think neutral. If it was bad, I'm like, Man,
- 20:57Speaker 1: this is bad, how can we get out of it?
- 20:58Speaker 1: If it was good, I'm like, man, we ball and
- 21:00Speaker 1: we better keep it up. I can never just be like,
- 21:02Speaker 1: all right, we're gonna I'm gonna stay the same the
- 21:04Speaker 1: whole time. I kind of fed off of the emotion
- 21:06Speaker 1: of the games. That's not really what he does. No,
- 21:08Speaker 1: I mean, the guy can be it doesn't matter. He's
- 21:10Speaker 1: gonna be down thirty five to zero and he's like,
- 21:12Speaker 1: we're gonna score and we'll win the game. Doesn't amount
- 21:13Speaker 1: of times left. I mean it happened last week again,
- 21:15Speaker 1: or two weeks against Minnesota. I mean, you're down your
- 21:17Speaker 1: balls on your six yard line, you gotta go ninety
- 21:19Speaker 1: four yards. He finds a way to get it done
- 21:21Speaker 1: every single time. All right now, Russ, And he's one
- 21:24Speaker 1: more win of Typeeyton Manning for first place as the
- 21:26Speaker 1: NFL's all time winning his quarterback in the players first
- 21:29Speaker 1: nine seasons with ninety two. You can't ignore this guy anymore. No,
- 21:36Speaker 1: I mean ninety two. Listen, it's it's gonna be it's
- 21:38Speaker 1: their seventh game or their sixth game. Excuse me, He's
- 21:41Speaker 1: gonna win a ton more games. He's gonna blow that
- 21:43Speaker 1: one out of the water. He needs one more completion
- 21:45Speaker 1: and past Matt Houseback for first place all time on
- 21:48Speaker 1: pass completions list with two thousand, five hundred and sixty.
- 21:51Speaker 1: I mean, this guy is just doing it all every
- 21:53Speaker 1: single week. If you look at our media guide, there
- 21:56Speaker 1: is a page dedicated to Rust for what record he's
- 21:59Speaker 1: about to or could break that next week. All right,
- 22:02Speaker 1: let's talk about another record. He's about to break. These
- 22:04Speaker 1: three touchdowns to type Hayton Manning for the most passing
- 22:07Speaker 1: touchdowns to open a season in NFL history with twenty two.
- 22:13Speaker 1: Russ's I'm not gonna say I'm not gonna say the phrase,
- 22:15Speaker 1: but Russ is in the kitchen and that wrist is
- 22:18Speaker 1: working right now, is working. And it's fun to watch man,
- 22:23Speaker 1: especially seeing where this offense has come from. They come
- 22:25Speaker 1: from Marshawn Lynch running the football. I'm grinding games out
- 22:30Speaker 1: and to see the evolution of this means that Russell
- 22:32Speaker 1: Wilson's putt in the work. Scheenheimer trusts him, and Pete
- 22:35Speaker 1: Carroll is able to adapt. A lot of guys aren't
- 22:38Speaker 1: able to do that. And I always look at Andy Reid,
- 22:40Speaker 1: the guy who's been in the game for a minute,
- 22:41Speaker 1: just got his first Super Bowl. He's been able to
- 22:44Speaker 1: adjust with the times. And side note, I know we're
- 22:47Speaker 1: talking about the Hawks and the Cardinals, but Andy Reid
- 22:50Speaker 1: was one of the first guys to use the running
- 22:51Speaker 1: backs the way they're being used now with Westbrook. I
- 22:54Speaker 1: know Marshall Falk was one of the pioneers too, but
- 22:57Speaker 1: seeing what Andy Reid does with what Westbrook is awesome.
- 23:00Speaker 1: So Pete Carroll has shown that he is one of
- 23:02Speaker 1: the older guys who was able to adapt and let
- 23:05Speaker 1: his players flourish well. And the thing about it, too
- 23:07Speaker 1: is all we know Ruskin do. We just talked about
- 23:10Speaker 1: all his accolades. He's the best player in the NFL
- 23:12Speaker 1: right now. The Cardinals present a different challenge. Though these
- 23:15Speaker 1: guys are playing pretty good defensively. I mean they're doing
- 23:18Speaker 1: okay in the past defense line two hundred twenty six
- 23:20Speaker 1: yards per game. But the best thing that they've done
- 23:22Speaker 1: this year is on the scoreboard. They ranked number two
- 23:24Speaker 1: in the NFL and scoring defense, only allowing eighteen point
- 23:28Speaker 1: seven per game. Eighteen point seven Hawks are putting up
- 23:31Speaker 1: about thirty. Let's see what they can do next matchup.
- 23:34Speaker 1: Buddher Baker Verse, everbody this dude. I've always respected his game.
- 23:40Speaker 1: I've always known he's one of the best out there.
- 23:42Speaker 1: But last Monday against the Dallas Cowboys was the first
- 23:46Speaker 1: time I said, all right, I'm watching thirty two eighty
- 23:49Speaker 1: percent of the snatch. I just want to see. I
- 23:51Speaker 1: sort he's the highest pace safety in the league. We
- 23:53Speaker 1: got Jamal Adams over here. How do they compare? And
- 23:56Speaker 1: I was impressed. The guy plays with the motor he played.
- 24:00Speaker 1: He's fast, he plays physical. He is the emotional leader
- 24:03Speaker 1: on this Cardinals football team, no question about it. I
- 24:05Speaker 1: mean you mentioned Monday night seven solo tackles, one sack,
- 24:09Speaker 1: one force, fumble, one interception, and the man is everywhere.
- 24:12Speaker 1: They line him up in so many different places. He'll
- 24:14Speaker 1: blits off the edge with regularity. To'll line him up,
- 24:17Speaker 1: you know, on the outside as a deep third safety
- 24:20Speaker 1: line is scrimmage at linebacker. He can literally play all
- 24:23Speaker 1: over the field. And they just keep you guessing because
- 24:24Speaker 1: they're moving all the time defensively, trying to confuse the
- 24:28Speaker 1: quarterback and see what covers are in. So they do
- 24:30Speaker 1: a lot of stuff with him, and he's just incredibly special.
- 24:33Speaker 1: You know what sinners do. They get to the line
- 24:35Speaker 1: of scrimmage that identify the box and they find the
- 24:38Speaker 1: mic fifty twos of mica. They're like, okay, fifty twos
- 24:41Speaker 1: of mic, but there's Boot over there, so y'all know
- 24:44Speaker 1: there's Boot over there. And the way he blitz is
- 24:46Speaker 1: like he's getting shot out of a cannon. He's not
- 24:48Speaker 1: going in there trying to lay the quarterback down all softly,
- 24:51Speaker 1: put a pillow under his head. He's like, look, I'm
- 24:53Speaker 1: gonna get to this quarterback and I am going to
- 24:55Speaker 1: smack you. What's another matchup? Now? Well, man, these dudes
- 25:00Speaker 1: once again you mentioned the receiving corps. DeAndre Hopkins. He's
- 25:04Speaker 1: a bad man. And let me tell you something, Shaquille Griffin,
- 25:07Speaker 1: Quittin Dunbar, Trey Flowers, you guys are gonna have your
- 25:09Speaker 1: hands full once again. They've had faced so many tough receivers.
- 25:12Speaker 1: It feels like almost every week they have someone that
- 25:15Speaker 1: is an elite level wide receiver and this is no
- 25:18Speaker 1: different with Hopkins. You know, forty forty seven receptions already
- 25:21Speaker 1: this year, six hundred yards and two touchdowns. The man
- 25:24Speaker 1: is a technician, a ballhawk, everything in the sense of
- 25:27Speaker 1: the word man. Forty seven receptions, so you know where
- 25:31Speaker 1: he wants to go. And last he has forty seven
- 25:33Speaker 1: receptions and I believe on Monday he had two. Yeah,
- 25:36Speaker 1: so before that he had forty five receptions. He only
- 25:39Speaker 1: had two receptions, but he had one long I think
- 25:41Speaker 1: about sixty nine sixty something large, and like I mentioned,
- 25:45Speaker 1: this is one of the fastest receiving corps out there.
- 25:47Speaker 1: I've seen Isabella get behind Katz, Kurt get behind them,
- 25:50Speaker 1: Hopkins get behind them, and then you combine them with
- 25:52Speaker 1: Kenyan Drake, who's good in the past game as well.
- 25:56Speaker 1: These guys are gonna have their hands full, but I
- 25:58Speaker 1: think they're up for the challenge. I mean, they've seen
- 26:00Speaker 1: great receiving cores already, they've seen Atlanta get out there.
- 26:03Speaker 1: They've been tested, they've been beat up, they've been bruised,
- 26:05Speaker 1: but they're playing well at this point. Shack has a
- 26:08Speaker 1: couple of picks. Dunbar has a pick. I'm still waiting
- 26:11Speaker 1: for that, that Quandre Diggs moment. I can't wait for it.
- 26:14Speaker 1: Why why not this week? Go ahead and get them digs?
- 26:16Speaker 1: Why not this week? And we're not sure where Jamal
- 26:20Speaker 1: Adams is gonna be. He's gonna be back at some point.
- 26:22Speaker 1: But this secondary, like you said, they're getting more comfortable.
- 26:25Speaker 1: I would love to see them continue to play more
- 26:26Speaker 1: aggressive and just go out there and play like Quentin Dunbar.
- 26:30Speaker 1: You're a technician, do your thing, read your keys, and
- 26:33Speaker 1: go break on. The football takes some chances because it's
- 26:35Speaker 1: gonna be hard to play off on DeAndre Hopkins at
- 26:37Speaker 1: eight yards and they're gonna complete balls all day long.
- 26:40Speaker 1: So it'll be great to see if those guys can
- 26:42Speaker 1: get out there and be aggressive from the start. All right.
- 26:44Speaker 1: The next matchup, we're looking at his Kenyan Drake verse
- 26:47Speaker 1: the Seahawks front seven. Here's us lesson of his sixty
- 26:51Speaker 1: nine yard touchdown run last week. Here's a third and
- 26:53Speaker 1: four two minute warning from the Cardinal thirty one. Maria's
- 26:57Speaker 1: under center stop the stamp spins hands up Drake O
- 27:00Speaker 1: big hole inside the numbers, fifty chase to the forty.
- 27:04Speaker 1: I'm the numbers, the thirty, to the twenty, to the
- 27:06Speaker 1: ten to the five hits, a touchdown, untouched, galloping down
- 27:11Speaker 1: field sixty nine yards, that was beautiful, want to run,
- 27:17Speaker 1: and the Kenyan Drake touchdown run makes it now thirty
- 27:22Speaker 1: seven to ten the Cardinals with one forty nine to go. Wow,
- 27:31Speaker 1: the disgusted right sixty nine yard touchdown run. He has
- 27:34Speaker 1: four hundred seventy eight yards and four touchdowns. That four
- 27:37Speaker 1: to seventy eight is fourth in the NFL, and that's
- 27:39Speaker 1: a sneaky four seven. Yeah. No one's talking about Kenyan
- 27:43Speaker 1: Drake really, no, not at all. I mean I honestly,
- 27:45Speaker 1: I wasn't really thinking much about him. When when you
- 27:47Speaker 1: think of the Cardinals, I think of Colin Murray, I
- 27:49Speaker 1: think of DeAndre Hopkins. I think of what they're doing
- 27:50Speaker 1: with the receiving corps and Drake. He's low key been
- 27:53Speaker 1: really good for him once he stepped in right, so
- 27:55Speaker 1: I looked. I looked through all his game logs and
- 27:57Speaker 1: since he was required by her zone last year, the
- 28:00Speaker 1: Cardinals are six in one when he carries the ball
- 28:02Speaker 1: at least sixteen times. Now, that can be misleading because
- 28:05Speaker 1: it depends on how the game's going right if they're
- 28:07Speaker 1: if they're up, they're going to run the football more
- 28:09Speaker 1: if they're down there and pass the more. But with
- 28:11Speaker 1: that being said, there's some kind of correlation because when
- 28:13Speaker 1: he's running the ball to high clip, they're they're pretty
- 28:15Speaker 1: good hard to stop. Offensively, they're hard to stop, and
- 28:18Speaker 1: he keeps the offense balanced. He allows Kyler Murray to
- 28:22Speaker 1: hand the full ball off and not feel like he
- 28:24Speaker 1: has to win the game by himself. It's nice to
- 28:27Speaker 1: have a running back who can do a little bit
- 28:29Speaker 1: of everything. And he fits that offense perfectly. He's fast.
- 28:33Speaker 1: They're not a power offense. They're not gonna run a
- 28:35Speaker 1: bunch of traps, pull a bunch of guards. They're gonna
- 28:38Speaker 1: hit you with draws. They're gonna hit you with zones,
- 28:40Speaker 1: outside zone stretches. They're gonna try to beat you with
- 28:43Speaker 1: their speed, and they're dangerous, simple as that. No, and
- 28:48Speaker 1: that's and I love what you hit on right. There
- 28:50Speaker 1: was balance because Cliff Kings were, like we talked about,
- 28:53Speaker 1: you think of throwing the ball all how many times
- 28:55Speaker 1: are gonna win back and throw it? When they're balanced,
- 28:57Speaker 1: they're a tough team to play. And the thing about
- 28:59Speaker 1: it is they need to be balanced against the Seahawks
- 29:01Speaker 1: because if you're out there, even if you have a
- 29:03Speaker 1: big play um and you score in a two play drive,
- 29:06Speaker 1: when you're playing the Seahawks, you want number three off
- 29:08Speaker 1: the football field. So you need to work on time
- 29:10Speaker 1: possession and things like that. So they're gonna need to
- 29:13Speaker 1: be balanced. Kenyan dra Because is a good player and
- 29:15Speaker 1: he's gonna be really key for them on Sunday. But
- 29:18Speaker 1: bump for the Seahawks to get it done, there's a
- 29:20Speaker 1: couple of things they need to do. It's the path
- 29:23Speaker 1: to victory. At the forty five waits for the staff,
- 29:28Speaker 1: Michael Dickson puts it down. That kick is away. If
- 29:31Speaker 1: that kick is gone, it's gone. It's a path to
- 29:36Speaker 1: victory on Hawk Talk, path to victory, Kyler murray Man,
- 29:44Speaker 1: it starts with him. We started the show with him.
- 29:46Speaker 1: He can't we can't give up a big play with him. Okay,
- 29:49Speaker 1: he's a dynamic player. He's definitely gonna make plays. He
- 29:52Speaker 1: just can't have the big one. He can't have the
- 29:54Speaker 1: long run, he can't have the adr touchdown pass. You
- 29:57Speaker 1: need to put pressure on the guy and you just
- 29:58Speaker 1: got to contain him, fluster him, a little bit. He
- 30:00Speaker 1: just can't have the big play over and over again
- 30:02Speaker 1: on Sunday. You know, I noticed when Dallas has success
- 30:05Speaker 1: containing Murray, it was when they made him step up
- 30:07Speaker 1: in the pocket. He wants to get outside the pocket,
- 30:10Speaker 1: roll get east west. If you can make him step
- 30:13Speaker 1: up in the pocket, that will filter him right to
- 30:14Speaker 1: guys like Bobby Wagner and kJ Wright. I'm with you.
- 30:18Speaker 1: Gotta contain this guy. Another dude, Kenyan Drake. He needs
- 30:21Speaker 1: to be held under one hundred yards now. The Seahawks
- 30:24Speaker 1: got ran on last time we saw him against the
- 30:26Speaker 1: Minnesota Vikings. Then they're always a solid run team, so
- 30:29Speaker 1: you take that with a grain of salt, but they
- 30:31Speaker 1: can't have that type of performance again. If Kenyan Drake
- 30:34Speaker 1: is allowed to run all over this football team, that
- 30:36Speaker 1: is going to loosen up things and allow Kyler Murphy
- 30:38Speaker 1: to be comfortable out there. Gotta shut down Drake absolutely,
- 30:41Speaker 1: And like we said, he makes them a balance football team.
- 30:44Speaker 1: If there's no balance, then the Seahawks can continue to
- 30:47Speaker 1: bring more pressure like they have in recent weeks. And
- 30:49Speaker 1: like you mentioned, make him step up in the pocket.
- 30:51Speaker 1: Good things will happen. If you'd keep him under a
- 30:53Speaker 1: hundred yards. Hopkins needs to standard ten reception. Dude has
- 30:56Speaker 1: forty seven catches. Come on, he cannot leave this game
- 31:00Speaker 1: with fifty seven receptions all the other ten and one
- 31:04Speaker 1: hundred and twenty yards. I can't believe I missed that
- 31:06Speaker 1: he had that mini reception. That's ridiculous. It's unbelievable. I looked.
- 31:09Speaker 1: I had a double check the number, so I wasn't
- 31:10Speaker 1: sure if I was right. I was looking back. He
- 31:11Speaker 1: had Gamer had fourteen ten, nine eight seven. I mean,
- 31:14Speaker 1: the dude is a monster, and he just can't He
- 31:17Speaker 1: just can't be that guy. He's just catching the ball
- 31:20Speaker 1: every play. You know. It's one of those things where
- 31:21Speaker 1: if we're gonna play off, he can't just be easy
- 31:24Speaker 1: money every time because he will add it up and
- 31:25Speaker 1: he'll keep the chains room down the field. So Hopkins
- 31:28Speaker 1: is a one of the best receivers in the NFL.
- 31:30Speaker 1: Bar Nune. He's gonna make some plays, but he can't
- 31:32Speaker 1: go nuts. What else I gotta do, Nws. Just let
- 31:36Speaker 1: Russ be Russ man. I mean, it sounds so easy, right,
- 31:39Speaker 1: anyone can do it. Just let recipe Russ. But honestly,
- 31:41Speaker 1: like they're in such a good flow offensively with how
- 31:43Speaker 1: schottenheimers Khan plays. How things are going last week Chris Carson,
- 31:48Speaker 1: he only had eight carries, but he has some explosive play,
- 31:51Speaker 1: So I'd like to see him get a little bit
- 31:52Speaker 1: more involved. But it's all on the flow, and it
- 31:53Speaker 1: all begins and ends with number three. If you continue
- 31:56Speaker 1: to let him do what he's doing. He's leading the
- 31:58Speaker 1: best offense in the NFL and it's gonna be an
- 32:00Speaker 1: easy day for you. Let rest work that risk. I'm
- 32:03Speaker 1: not gonna say the phrase I'm stirring that thing up. Also,
- 32:08Speaker 1: what they have to do is create turnovers early and
- 32:10Speaker 1: often they did that in spurts with the Minnesota Vikings.
- 32:14Speaker 1: I've set this ten times already. Defense got that game going.
- 32:18Speaker 1: Defense got the offense going by creating turnovers. That's what
- 32:21Speaker 1: they need to do. That's what they're good at at
- 32:23Speaker 1: this point. They're good against the run and they create turnovers.
- 32:26Speaker 1: Be who you've been all season long. You leave the
- 32:29Speaker 1: NFL and turnover ratio, you're plus six right now, the
- 32:32Speaker 1: Cardinals are zero, tied for seventeen. So keep doing what
- 32:35Speaker 1: you're doing. Force Colin Murray. He's throwing six interceptions this year.
- 32:37Speaker 1: Continue to put that pressure on him. Maybe force will
- 32:39Speaker 1: fumble here and there, get the offense going that way,
- 32:42Speaker 1: and then don't don't wait till the end of the game,
- 32:44Speaker 1: you know, as they have for most of the year
- 32:46Speaker 1: to make that big play. Let's start it early, and
- 32:49Speaker 1: they gotta get off the field on third down. Defensively,
- 32:52Speaker 1: offense needs to keep things going on third down, but
- 32:54Speaker 1: defense needs to get off the fild on third down.
- 32:56Speaker 1: Those fourteen fifteen sixteen play drives puts a lot of
- 33:01Speaker 1: pressure on this defense. They're gas they're tired. Now, the
- 33:03Speaker 1: offense is on the sideline, they're getting cold, they're losing
- 33:06Speaker 1: their rhythm, and the special teams needs to continue to perform. Yep.
- 33:10Speaker 1: No one talks about special teams and a lot enough
- 33:12Speaker 1: it's a kicker missing a field goal or something like that.
- 33:14Speaker 1: But they've been balling on special teams so far this year,
- 33:17Speaker 1: no question about it. They have a special team's board
- 33:19Speaker 1: in the locker room and has all their goals, winnings,
- 33:21Speaker 1: starting field position, turnovers, this and that. They're hitting on
- 33:25Speaker 1: circle every single week. And that's the credit to Larry
- 33:27Speaker 1: Zo and the coaching staff, and they're giving the Seahawks
- 33:30Speaker 1: offense and defense. Great starting field position. They have to
- 33:33Speaker 1: keep that up. And Bump, here's the deal man. Let
- 33:36Speaker 1: everyone know who runs NFC west Man. It's been too
- 33:38Speaker 1: long since the Seahawks have won this division. They're back
