- 0:02Happy Sunday morning everybody. I am smiling, man, oh man.
- 0:09Saturday. Yesterday was incredible.
- 0:13I turned 62 years young. We had a garage sale.
- 0:20We won last night with the Sunoco Dirt car down at Pevely.
- 0:26It was a hell of a race and the NASCAR Cup Series had one hell
- 0:33of a race. So much to talk about.
- 0:37So let's get right to it, right? Get a little scratch out here,
- 0:45OK? I am 62 years young.
- 0:50I told a lot of my friends. I said, you know, birthdays
- 0:54really don't matter to me. But for some reason, this one,
- 0:58I'm paying attention. And the reason I'm paying
- 1:01attention is because I know 62 is a big deal because our
- 1:09federal government says, OK, you're 62, that means you're old
- 1:14and you're retired, and now we'll start giving you your
- 1:18Social Security money. Man, ever since I've been a kid,
- 1:23I've worked. And when I get my paycheck, you
- 1:26pay in, you pay into the federal government, you, you save your
- 1:30money. And now I'm so old, I'm 62 years
- 1:35young. And now it's time for me to
- 1:37collect my money. Wow, never thought this day
- 1:42would come. However, with great advice from
- 1:47my CPA, my accountant, my life coach, Ashok Chug, Gar, and of
- 1:54course my investor, we sat down last year and we circled 67
- 2:01years old. That's that's the age that I'm
- 2:06going to take start taking my Social Security and I'm thrilled
- 2:13to death to do so. I understand that I start taking
- 2:17Medicaid at 65. I know we have to.
- 2:20So I'll make sure I'm not late on that.
- 2:22I will get that a Medicare, Medicare, Medicaid means you
- 2:28need aid. So one thing I learned Medicare,
- 2:32Medicaid. So we'll take Medicare at at 65.
- 2:38All right, enough of that. The reason I address that is
- 2:43because I had some people on X going, I was wondering when you
- 2:46were going to start taking your, your Social Security.
- 2:49So I'll take it at 67. OK, how about how about
- 2:55yesterday? I mean, the garage sale?
- 2:59How did how did this all start? Well, we've got a hallway closet
- 3:07right here. Hell, hell.
- 3:09Let me just show it to you. This is the way it started.
- 3:13Hold on here. We're going to get over here to
- 3:16it. I'll turn the light on.
- 3:20Looky. There.
- 3:22That's me. And that's Kim.
- 3:24I love that. OK, so got the hallway clothes.
- 3:29I was getting ready to vacuum and I, I went in there to get
- 3:33the vacuum cleaner and couldn't, couldn't get the vacuum cleaner
- 3:42out of that hole. Now, right now, I don't know
- 3:44where the vacuum cleaners at, but I couldn't get the vacuum
- 3:50cleaner out because it was full of puzzles.
- 3:55Like I said the other day, like 60 puzzles.
- 3:58And I said OK, and there and and this is the way our I mean, does
- 4:02your dining room table. This is the way our dining room
- 4:04table looks all the time, all the time.
- 4:09You couldn't eat food on that stomach if you tried.
- 4:11Look at that. It's always like this and it's
- 4:18always Kim, the love of my life. Kim goes, don't mess with my
- 4:25stuff. I know right where it's at.
- 4:27I'm like, I'm sure you do. It's one hell of a disaster.
- 4:31So then Kim, all of a sudden Kim said that she couldn't walk
- 4:37downstairs 'cause there's so much all over the floor.
- 4:43So between me not being able to get the vacuum cleaner out of
- 4:47the closet 'cause there was 60 puzzles there and I counted them
- 4:52because I put them in bags and then put them over there to be
- 4:56done with. And then Kim couldn't walk
- 4:58downstairs because she had everywhere in her wreath
- 5:02factory. She said, you know what, I think
- 5:06we're going to have a garage sale.
- 5:08I said the greatest ideal ever. But before that I got her mother
- 5:12and and Kim together and I said team meeting.
- 5:16I say we are very clean people. Everything's clean.
- 5:20And her mother goes, but we're cluttered.
- 5:22I said, Dee, I said, but we don't have room anymore.
- 5:27So the garage sale yesterday, listen, thank you from the
- 5:31bottom of my heart. I mean, it was unbelievable.
- 5:36It was a little scary. Although I did call the
- 5:40Jefferson County Sheriff. He sent 2 wonderful police
- 5:44officers out here. Let's put it this way.
- 5:46At 7:30, my daughter Brandy wakes me up.
- 5:51She goes, Dad, we got no more room.
- 5:53You're going to have to get up. These people are waiting on you.
- 5:57And I'm like, it's a garage sale.
- 5:59Bye. But it turned into the fan club
- 6:04party. I don't it just, you know, we
- 6:06used, we used to have a fan club and it turned into a wonderful
- 6:10fan club. So I got up.
- 6:12I was up there about 7:45 and people were parked around the
- 6:18swimming pool, backed up around our house.
- 6:21So last night they said, you know, we had to put people
- 6:25somewhere. They had to open up the gates at
- 6:287:00 or no, like 630 people were out on the road.
- 6:33I think you get the idea. It was an incredible garage
- 6:36sale. We probably had 400 pieces of
- 6:39die cast. All the die cast sold because to
- 6:43my surprise, Kim collected the rarest of die cast.
- 6:47I mean, high end stuff. It, it wasn't just Bobo die
- 6:51cast. I mean, this was the good stuff
- 6:54because they would give it to us.
- 6:56They'd make, you know, a die cast of mine.
- 6:59And then they would give us die cast of a as a thank you still,
- 7:03still in the plastic wrapper in the box.
- 7:07So we sold all the die cast. We sold a lot of helmets, lot of
- 7:13fire suits that was and that was deemed Kenny's corner.
- 7:17So, oh, by the way, breaking news, Kim did keep helmet and
- 7:24driver fire suit combination. So she's going to start up a
- 7:30bidding process. You all have been asking for it
- 7:32all over the United States. I see what you're saying.
- 7:36So Kim is going to start that. She says, she says she's got an
- 7:39handle. But I saw some good combinations
- 7:41up there, so stay tuned for the bidding process on that.
- 7:46She did put stuff aside, OK. The stuff we did not sell, it
- 7:51went to a really nice church over in Fenton.
- 7:56And I told him, I said there's nothing coming back.
- 8:00Oh, Louis, Louis, the legend, he said.
- 8:05He said you started the show without me.
- 8:12By the way, this is the second coffee cup, the original coffee
- 8:16cup. Some man drove me bat crazy.
- 8:20Please let me buy your coffee cup.
- 8:22I said it's a cup. It's the people that take care
- 8:26of our swimming pool and our hot tub.
- 8:29It's a plain cup. And I put a Sunoco decal on it.
- 8:31He goes, damn. So he gave me $22.00 for it.
- 8:34That's what he offered me. I said, what do you offer me
- 8:36for? And then I signed it.
- 8:40OK, once again, thank you so much from the bottom of my
- 8:46heart. I am blessed.
- 8:48But it was a little scary just because the people I got up in
- 8:53my underwear looked out the window.
- 8:54I'm like, Then I came in the kitchen.
- 8:57All the windows were open, all the blinds were open, so fans
- 9:00could have looked right in the kitchen as I got my start
- 9:03preparing my day's whole wheat toast.
- 9:07My day's 4% whole wheat toast. OK, we won last night.
- 9:16It was a hell of a race. I want to be clear that there is
- 9:21no such thing. Somebody said somebody put 3
- 9:25checkered flags and they put cherries.
- 9:28That means that that I'm so good that I cherry picked, that my
- 9:32competition's weak. Let me say something about that
- 9:36comment that is not showing any respect to the people I race.
- 9:43They are the best. They are.
- 9:45I put, I put our locals up. I would put our, if people came
- 9:50to our racetrack are any of our local trade race tracks, whether
- 9:54it's Tri-City Speedway and Granite Highland Peely, I would
- 9:59put our locals up against them. You got guys like, you know,
- 10:06Rick Canoyer, Steve Picu, Ryan Hamilton, hell, there was a guy
- 10:13last night, variant, I think that's his name #17 he was, you
- 10:18know, all year long. He's good race.
- 10:20But man, he was fast last night. I started 2nd row outside and I
- 10:25had to pass him on the outside for the lead and I, I had to
- 10:28peddle that son of a bitch. So it was a good win.
- 10:31And reminder, Taylor, Hertz senior, he would say, Herman,
- 10:37there's thousands of race car drivers all over the United
- 10:40States that are great and not all of them can be NASCAR.
- 10:46So once again, I know I've said it.
- 10:48When I line up, get ready to race, those thousands of rape
- 10:51great race car drivers that Earnhardt's talking about, he's
- 10:55here. Damn, I took up 11 minutes,
- 10:58everybody. All I'm going to do, I'll make
- 11:03it short and sweet and we'll talk about it more tomorrow.
- 11:08Not sure why, not sure why, but Ryan Blaney on lap 158 to lap
- 11:19160. In two laps, Ryan Blaney picked
- 11:24up 13 positions to win. What a race, the pitchers out
- 11:30there. Four wide at the finish line, 3
- 11:33wide behind them. My friends, if you're not
- 11:38entertained by that, I, I don't know what to say.
- 11:42What a race. And we'll get more on to that
- 11:44later. But also, how about Parker
- 11:47Kligerman? Parker Kligerman fills in for
- 11:52Connor Zilich and when wins the Xfinity race, his first real
- 11:59Xfinity win. Now, Parker won this race last
- 12:02year, but they deemed him illegal, Said his car was too
- 12:05low. But what a win for Parker
- 12:09Clickerman. I've always said, Parker, you're
- 12:12too good of a driver. Why are you doing TV?
- 12:16It just comes down to money. You got to have sponsorship.
- 12:19So here's a guy that wins but but is doing TV because he can't
- 12:25find money to give to the team. So congratulations, Parker
- 12:29Clickerman. I know that had to feel good.
- 12:32Still weird for me to see you on TV knowing you're a winning,
- 12:36knowing all along that you're a winner.
- 12:38And finally you got the got the real win.
- 12:42Connor Zilich was really appreciative.
- 12:44I was really impressed by Connor.
- 12:46I believe Connor Zilich was really happy for Parker.
- 12:53And by the way, on Sunday, track house team Track house made it
- 12:57official. They have, they have, they have
- 13:00hired Connor Zilich to replace Daniel Suarez next year in the
- 13:05cup series. All right, everybody, this is a
- 13:08long one, but there was a lot happening.
- 13:11I'll see you all, Quincy. We're going to give it another
- 13:13try. We're going to give it another
- 13:15try. It's cold outside.
- 13:19Finally, finally, though, the death heat and that high
- 13:24humidity have broke. See you in Quincy, IL tonight.
- 13:28And here's why tonight is finally my 30th points night.
- 13:36And that's the key #30 points races.
- 13:38So I'm going to go get my 30th points race.
- 13:42They take your 30 best finishes of the year.
- 13:47With all the rain outs and all the cancellations for heat.
- 13:51Hell, I could hardly get the 30 races this year.
- 13:54Two years ago, I ran 68. All right, everybody, listen.
- 14:00Thanks. Thanks so much.
- 14:02And all of you have a a great Sunday.
