- 0:10Speaker 1: It's a big day boys. Why because today's August twentieth,
- 0:13Speaker 1: which means tonight's night one of Madison Square Garden for us.
- 0:17Speaker 2: Oh my goodness.
- 0:19Speaker 1: Sour all over again. How do you guys been prepping
- 0:21Speaker 1: this morning? I want to know exactly what I got
- 0:22Speaker 1: my nails done. I got to face Jim. Tell people
- 0:26Speaker 1: to face Jim, but they don't know that, okay. So
- 0:28Speaker 1: face Jim is essentially a gym for your face, a
- 0:30Speaker 1: gym for your face. It's a massage for your face.
- 0:32Speaker 1: But they do like olymphatic drainage. They do a little
- 0:34Speaker 1: electric stimulus. I don't like that part of it. I
- 0:37Speaker 1: like one of my face twitches. I don't love that feeling.
- 0:39Speaker 3: You know.
- 0:40Speaker 4: I got a good night's rest and made it I
- 0:42Speaker 4: wanted to have at home. I wanted.
- 0:43Speaker 1: I've been in my apartment in New York so nice,
- 0:46Speaker 1: and I've been like very grateful to still have it
- 0:50Speaker 1: because I did put it on the market. But I'm like, wan,
- 0:52Speaker 1: it's nice to have a place to stay in New
- 0:54Speaker 1: York and a place of my own, you know, A
- 0:56Speaker 1: nice morning, made my coffee, made breakfast, just like ATAL
- 1:00Speaker 1: put on some records.
- 1:02Speaker 4: Put your records on it's.
- 1:04Speaker 1: Great with the started day and then you know worked
- 1:06Speaker 1: out this morning too. Did you work out this morning?
- 1:08Speaker 4: Did I work out this morning? Yeah, it's about four
- 1:10Speaker 4: six hours.
- 1:11Speaker 1: And then I there's a tradition for any New York
- 1:15Speaker 1: based show, I ride a bike or walk to the venue.
- 1:19Speaker 2: Hey.
- 1:19Speaker 1: You know what else is happening is that we announced
- 1:21Speaker 1: that the Burning Up Tour All Over Again is coming
- 1:25Speaker 1: to a sitting near you, and the public on sale
- 1:28Speaker 1: is this Friday, August twenty first, which is tomorrow. Yeah,
- 1:30Speaker 1: I can't wait. It's gonna be fun. We have a
- 1:32Speaker 1: lot of new music, We have a lot of new
- 1:33Speaker 1: ideas for this tour tour, and also a lot of
- 1:36Speaker 1: the things we've done in the past, which is even
- 1:38Speaker 1: the reason for the tour.
- 1:39Speaker 4: Found all the stuff putting it on tour with us,
- 1:41Speaker 4: bring it on. Okay, So we have a guest today.
- 1:43Speaker 4: He's incredible.
- 1:45Speaker 1: He's had one of the craziest I think five year runs.
- 1:50Speaker 1: Meteoric rises here, meteoric as in, you know, all the
- 1:57Speaker 1: way like a meteor.
- 1:58Speaker 4: Thank you for the find.
- 2:00Speaker 1: You know, the first time someone wrote that about us
- 2:03Speaker 1: was in two thousand and six or seven. They're like
- 2:04Speaker 1: they're on a Meteoric Rise, and I was like, they
- 2:07Speaker 1: seems like we're mediocre, but.
- 2:08Speaker 4: It sounds like it.
- 2:09Speaker 1: Studios Meteoric is a very very positive thing, and you know,
- 2:15Speaker 1: this guest is the living example of that. His podcast
- 2:19Speaker 1: is one of the biggest in the world. He is
- 2:20Speaker 1: one of the most recognizable online personalities, also launching an
- 2:24Speaker 1: acting career with his guest spot on season four of Hacks,
- 2:28Speaker 1: as well as a Broadway run most recently, and many
- 2:30Speaker 1: more things to come. Please welcome our friend, our guest,
- 2:33Speaker 1: Jake Shane, because I don't know if he's realizes he's
- 2:36Speaker 1: been sharing his location with me for like six five years.
- 2:41Speaker 1: What that's amazing, hijack, you.
- 2:44Speaker 2: Have my location.
- 2:45Speaker 4: I have had your location for like five years. How
- 2:48Speaker 4: does that happen? How did that happen? I don't know.
- 2:50Speaker 4: I think the first I think.
- 2:51Speaker 2: We were hanging out in New York and you share
- 2:53Speaker 2: me your locations so I can come meet you. And
- 2:55Speaker 2: I was like, I'm going so happy I have his location.
- 2:57Speaker 2: Then he never unshared it, and then I was like,
- 2:59Speaker 2: I guess your location.
- 3:02Speaker 4: No, he's been sharing. You've been sharing yours. So location phone.
- 3:08Speaker 2: So first of all, I got a new phone and
- 3:12Speaker 2: a new iCloud in February and Joe texting me and
- 3:16Speaker 2: was like where is located? And I said, oh my god.
- 3:21Speaker 4: It's all good. I'm just gonna stop sharing location.
- 3:23Speaker 2: Then what my location is still shared with you? Please?
- 3:26Speaker 4: It doesn't show, it shows your it shows nothing from you.
- 3:29Speaker 2: Okay, well I'll fix it. But don't act irrationally.
- 3:32Speaker 1: Okay, fine, that's so it's so intimate sharing, you know,
- 3:39Speaker 1: it really does show, like, oh my god, this person's
- 3:41Speaker 1: right by me and you had no idea and just walked.
- 3:43Speaker 4: Also, if I don't think.
- 3:43Speaker 1: Goes wrong, it's nice just around and you know, you know,
- 3:48Speaker 1: it's like somebody's like where's Jake, and be like does
- 3:50Speaker 1: anybody have a location?
- 3:51Speaker 4: It's like I do. So like who's the cold person
- 3:54Speaker 4: you share a location with? Other than Joe Jonas?
- 3:56Speaker 2: I you just show locations with everybody. And then I
- 3:58Speaker 2: got a new phone and I lost all my looks.
- 4:00Speaker 1: It's a great excuse, Jake.
- 4:02Speaker 2: I share locations with my best friend Alice, right, Louise
- 4:07Speaker 2: wouldn't share her back.
- 4:09Speaker 1: That's not frue. And then no share back is it's
- 4:12Speaker 1: I have a couple, I don't. I don't share all
- 4:13Speaker 1: of them back. But I do share my location with you, Drake,
- 4:16Speaker 1: because it is fun when we're like, you know, there's
- 4:17Speaker 1: occasional times I'll just get a text from Drake and
- 4:19Speaker 1: he'll be like, where are you. I see you're in
- 4:21Speaker 1: New York. What's the plants? But it's always fun when
- 4:23Speaker 1: you just call out somebody be like, order the shrimp
- 4:27Speaker 1: to take that out. I wouldn't do that because my
- 4:29Speaker 1: allergy shrimp. But you know, if I were.
- 4:31Speaker 2: To eat trip actually amergic the shellfish and crustaceans. Yeah, crustaceans.
- 4:37Speaker 2: IY that word like, I can't it's so bad.
- 4:39Speaker 4: But what are some words you just despise? I'm just curious.
- 4:41Speaker 2: I hate crustaceans.
- 4:43Speaker 4: Moist, that's the one that can't.
- 4:44Speaker 2: I don't mind, you know what. The only word that
- 4:46Speaker 2: really gets me is crustaceans. And I don't like the
- 4:50Speaker 2: word maggot, which is unfortunate because I love that Olivia
- 4:54Speaker 2: Rodrigulo song Maggots for Brains.
- 4:56Speaker 1: It's great song.
- 4:56Speaker 4: It's a great song, great.
- 4:58Speaker 2: Album, so great.
- 5:00Speaker 1: I think it's the best album of the year. I
- 5:03Speaker 1: think it's so good. I'm actually all working out to
- 5:05Speaker 1: it on the rag. Shout out Olivia it's it's fantastic.
- 5:09Speaker 1: I think what she did with the production with dan
- 5:12Speaker 1: Igro's phenomenal. And also the lyrics are just next level good.
- 5:16Speaker 4: Yeah, she's so tough.
- 5:17Speaker 2: It also like tells such a chronological story, like you
- 5:21Speaker 2: feel like watching a movie as you listen to the
- 5:23Speaker 2: album from start to finish.
- 5:24Speaker 4: She's next level, next level.
- 5:26Speaker 1: It is so good to see you. We had the
- 5:28Speaker 1: most epic New York night together. We were at Game
- 5:31Speaker 1: four of the Knicks comeback from there in the box together.
- 5:35Speaker 1: How could you forget?
- 5:36Speaker 2: But I was did I go out? I forgot? I
- 5:39Speaker 2: always forget I was at that game we're at.
- 5:43Speaker 4: It's pretty wild.
- 5:45Speaker 1: Those that are listening. New York Knicks are a basketball
- 5:47Speaker 1: team in the New York area. They just won the
- 5:50Speaker 1: World Series.
- 5:51Speaker 2: Yeah, I remember being like right, like I like basketball,
- 5:56Speaker 2: but like see what we can get into. And I
- 5:59Speaker 2: left that beat with a jersey.
- 6:04Speaker 4: The drone was.
- 6:05Speaker 1: So insanely high in that place, like people didn't leave
- 6:07Speaker 1: for I was in London and I was so jealous
- 6:11Speaker 1: because yeah, games were on at the time, it was
- 6:15Speaker 1: it was too late to watch and I couldn't keep
- 6:18Speaker 1: my eyes open. And I saw your videos, both of you,
- 6:21Speaker 1: and that box looks stacked. It was let's let's drop
- 6:25Speaker 1: some names. Who are we talking about? Who's in this
- 6:27Speaker 1: big box of yours. The entire starting line of the
- 6:30Speaker 1: New York Giants, like three of them at least.
- 6:35Speaker 2: They were yeah, I don't know anything about football. They're like, yeah,
- 6:39Speaker 2: we play on the Giants.
- 6:41Speaker 1: Ye, Jackson Dart, It's cams Gataboo, theo, John all your favorite.
- 6:46Speaker 2: One of them was like, what do you do? He
- 6:47Speaker 2: was like, I'm the quarterback.
- 6:51Speaker 1: But when they got so pumped, they forgot that we
- 6:54Speaker 1: are not. I am not a football player. They threw
- 6:56Speaker 1: me across the box. It was too much.
- 6:59Speaker 4: It was great, be.
- 7:01Speaker 1: Like throw you and who else?
- 7:03Speaker 4: Okay? Who else?
- 7:04Speaker 2: Was Bieber tap and crack.
- 7:09Speaker 1: It's like Popstar magazine. It was did you read Popstar
- 7:14Speaker 1: magazine back in the day, of.
- 7:16Speaker 2: Course I did. I read Pop the Vaccine. I read
- 7:18Speaker 2: Jay fourteen, I read Tiger Beat.
- 7:21Speaker 1: Jay forteen were great. Tiger Beat was always a little
- 7:23Speaker 1: bit more spicy. There was Kevin loved doing those photoshops.
- 7:27Speaker 2: Always was always like they like pushed it to print,
- 7:30Speaker 2: really last minute. Jay fourteen was thought out.
- 7:32Speaker 4: It was like real journalism.
- 7:34Speaker 2: It was real hard hitting journalism. Every quiz I took
- 7:37Speaker 2: was always very accurate. Did you guys ever take quizzes
- 7:39Speaker 2: of yourself?
- 7:41Speaker 4: Yes?
- 7:41Speaker 3: You know.
- 7:42Speaker 1: I would go on a BuzzFeed for fun, just to
- 7:43Speaker 1: see if I got myself.
- 7:46Speaker 4: I'm very leo.
- 7:47Speaker 1: Energy, but I'm like, you know, which brother are you
- 7:49Speaker 1: similar to? I'd be like, let's see.
- 7:51Speaker 4: How well they know? And I'm like, damn it. They
- 7:52Speaker 4: were good.
- 7:54Speaker 1: But of course it's like all the things I like BuzzFeed.
- 7:58Speaker 1: BuzzFeed used to have a good one. They used to
- 8:00Speaker 1: have good ones. What flavor gatorade you're drinking right now?
- 8:03Speaker 4: It is blue? That's frost one frost.
- 8:06Speaker 2: It's the only one orange. I don't like my lime.
- 8:11Speaker 2: Actually I don't hate it. I can get behind it
- 8:15Speaker 2: if I really need to.
- 8:16Speaker 1: You think about when people just say the color, They're like,
- 8:18Speaker 1: can I have can I have yellow?
- 8:20Speaker 4: Blue?
- 8:20Speaker 2: Blue? Here's the thing is which blue are you talking about?
- 8:23Speaker 2: Are you talking about blue? Are you talking about glacier freeze?
- 8:26Speaker 2: You're talking about a life.
- 8:28Speaker 1: Freeze that I've been watching this guy and it just
- 8:31Speaker 1: gets so uncomfortable. He does the thing where he fills
- 8:35Speaker 1: up a whole glass and then like one gulp he drinks.
- 8:38Speaker 1: He drinks like the coldest drinks possible, and he drinks
- 8:41Speaker 1: a freezing cold what was it called the blue one,
- 8:45Speaker 1: the cold blue one, frost And he does that and
- 8:48Speaker 1: he just mixed it with milk, and I couldn't look
- 8:51Speaker 1: I couldn't look away. It's like when you have like
- 8:53Speaker 1: a mint addiction like me, and then you drink anything
- 8:55Speaker 1: cold and it feels like your mouth is going to
- 8:57Speaker 1: fall off.
- 8:58Speaker 2: Yea, And what's up with that? Would you say you
- 9:00Speaker 2: have a mint addiction?
- 9:01Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 9:02Speaker 1: Yeah, he's going through a packet alt TOIDs this whole
- 9:05Speaker 1: like we just it's a you know what it was? Yeah,
- 9:08Speaker 1: I was a guy that liked to vape a lot
- 9:10Speaker 1: and then I quit and then so I do that.
- 9:12Speaker 4: I guess you baped? Yeah, boy, make him a little cooler.
- 9:17Speaker 4: But it never smoked SIGs.
- 9:18Speaker 2: He just went straight to vaping.
- 9:20Speaker 4: It's so confusing.
- 9:23Speaker 1: They gave up in twenty nineteen, but I was like
- 9:25Speaker 1: for Tigerree magazine. I mean, but who could resist when
- 9:30Speaker 1: when you hear someone with a crackle like literally, see
- 9:33Speaker 1: he gets it, he knows we have somebody that works
- 9:36Speaker 1: with us that still smokes one. And it kills me
- 9:38Speaker 1: every day you mango were men. Oh dude, I was
- 9:42Speaker 1: just a straight man all day. It was so good.
- 9:44Speaker 1: But the light green, the light green though, Yeah, come out, guys,
- 9:49Speaker 1: coming back, Hold on, come back to us.
- 9:54Speaker 4: That's good. Hold gatorade?
- 9:56Speaker 2: He wants sound effects?
- 9:57Speaker 4: I got so what do you want? I got so
- 9:59Speaker 4: many of it here. If you're gonna get spicy, we
- 10:02Speaker 4: can really.
- 10:03Speaker 2: You know, Well, do you guys watch that for you?
- 10:05Speaker 1: Honestly, I'm just my brain only likes clips these days.
- 10:09Speaker 1: So if I'm gonna watch something on TikTok and I
- 10:10Speaker 1: want to, like, I want the best.
- 10:11Speaker 4: Of Oh though you love it or no?
- 10:15Speaker 2: Like frustrating that? We like?
- 10:17Speaker 1: I know, brain, Yeah, yeah, we're the problem. Well do
- 10:21Speaker 1: you watch it? What's what are you watching? What's what's
- 10:23Speaker 1: on your what's on your iPad?
- 10:25Speaker 2: Literally words out of my mouth?
- 10:26Speaker 3: Work?
- 10:26Speaker 2: What are you guys watching on TV? Well?
- 10:28Speaker 4: This is our podcast okay, and this is our questions?
- 10:31Speaker 2: Sorry, I'm sorry, you're like when you're.
- 10:34Speaker 1: A massive podcast or you just can't help intro for
- 10:36Speaker 1: one second. I had a great time on your podcast.
- 10:38Speaker 1: I really enjoyed great hang, phenomenal and and Kevin's next.
- 10:45Speaker 4: You guys just do a whole vaping episode. I was
- 10:47Speaker 4: gonna talk about this next.
- 10:49Speaker 2: Yeah, and we'll get like really old jewels.
- 10:53Speaker 4: The good stuff, the good stuff, like the I'm on eBay?
- 10:58Speaker 4: Was that the scene from Wolf of Wall Street? Like
- 11:00Speaker 4: the good quick? Straight up? So what are you watching?
- 11:06Speaker 2: I'm watching I'm watching Silo.
- 11:10Speaker 1: So I just was talking to somebody about this. This
- 11:13Speaker 1: is kind of embarrassing, but I was on Zoom just
- 11:17Speaker 1: like before this. Before we were downstairs hanging out and
- 11:20Speaker 1: it was just like a general meeting, and I was like,
- 11:23Speaker 1: maybe just not propping it. And then I realized that
- 11:25Speaker 1: the people that produced they were on the call.
- 11:29Speaker 4: Would you say?
- 11:30Speaker 2: I like that makes me so, by the way, is
- 11:34Speaker 2: very valid.
- 11:35Speaker 4: I was just like okay.
- 11:37Speaker 1: I was just like I don't know, guys, thank you
- 11:39Speaker 1: for seeing me. I was just like, I don't know.
- 11:41Speaker 1: We'reund season three, We're still in this damn silo. And
- 11:43Speaker 1: then they're like, yeah, yeah, well that's just a really
- 11:45Speaker 1: fun project for us to work on.
- 11:46Speaker 2: I was like, no, no, no, what are we doing?
- 11:50Speaker 2: Why are we back?
- 11:51Speaker 4: Why are we back in the silos?
- 11:55Speaker 2: I mean that I could.
- 11:55Speaker 4: Have doesn't have a memory.
- 11:57Speaker 2: I'm like, oh, guys, that kept me watching was at
- 12:00Speaker 2: the end of season two when they had the flashback
- 12:04Speaker 2: to the present day. But if I can find out
- 12:06Speaker 2: what is going on in the present day, I keep.
- 12:09Speaker 1: Going, it's taking too long. It's like, guys, I get it,
- 12:13Speaker 1: But what happened? Why are we in a damn silo?
- 12:15Speaker 1: And why why is there four hundred of them? I'm
- 12:18Speaker 1: the guy that wants to see the new kid, like
- 12:20Speaker 1: it's like in the show, like I want to see
- 12:22Speaker 1: the thing that caused the catastrophe.
- 12:24Speaker 4: Yeah I don't.
- 12:25Speaker 2: I'm like, give me doomsday.
- 12:29Speaker 1: That's what I'm saying, Like, where's the nuke? What happens?
- 12:31Speaker 2: Like?
- 12:31Speaker 1: Show it to me?
- 12:32Speaker 2: You know who did an excellent, excellent job of that paradise.
- 12:37Speaker 1: We just finished the second season, me and Danielle and
- 12:40Speaker 1: that's my wife and she. We loved it. We went
- 12:43Speaker 1: through the entire thing. We liked the first season. We
- 12:46Speaker 1: loved the second season.
- 12:47Speaker 2: I loved both, but I really like the first season,
- 12:50Speaker 2: like did things to me. I didn't know it were possible.
- 12:52Speaker 1: We started Sterling Point last night.
- 12:55Speaker 2: Okay Point as well. It's about a girl who liked
- 12:59Speaker 2: by out. She inherits an island.
- 13:02Speaker 1: Oh fun, I'm waiting for that to happen in Canada,
- 13:05Speaker 1: the Islands in Canada. Well, it's on the lakes. It's
- 13:08Speaker 1: really rich lake Town here, Matchtown, Canadian Islands. We have
- 13:13Speaker 1: a huge Have you ever been to Muskoka? It looks incredible.
- 13:18Speaker 1: He's backtracking now is what he does?
- 13:21Speaker 4: You'll find out when I do your podcast. All Right,
- 13:22Speaker 4: so you're watching Silo?
- 13:23Speaker 2: What else watching Silo? I just started the Agency with
- 13:27Speaker 2: Michael Fasten Fastbender and show, probably because I loved Homeland
- 13:32Speaker 2: and it's giving homeland.
- 13:33Speaker 1: It's giving Homeland and he's just the best. He's so
- 13:36Speaker 1: good That shows I think one of the best out there.
- 13:40Speaker 2: Really the Agency.
- 13:41Speaker 4: It gets so good.
- 13:43Speaker 2: Okay, Okay, I'm on this episode two.
- 13:46Speaker 4: It did things to me that I didn't think were possible.
- 13:48Speaker 2: I'm sad, I'm here and I'm ready. Well I finished
- 13:51Speaker 2: what it.
- 13:51Speaker 4: Was bad too? That was so good.
- 13:53Speaker 1: But back to Sterling point, what do you think so far?
- 13:55Speaker 1: I'm in episode two? Were you into episode Well? Okay,
- 14:00Speaker 1: we're at the same place where what do you feel
- 14:02Speaker 1: is happening in your life with this? Because honestly, I
- 14:04Speaker 1: got a little like, am I gonna continue?
- 14:08Speaker 2: Am I watching it Sunday or no? That is the question.
- 14:12Speaker 2: If I'm watching it Sunday, I'm just raw talking the
- 14:15Speaker 2: whole thing.
- 14:16Speaker 1: I don't I don't like to wait for shows anymore.
- 14:18Speaker 1: That's the problem. I asked you a question, Jake, are
- 14:20Speaker 1: you watching on the go or at home?
- 14:23Speaker 2: Okay, So I'm I'm a TV guy, but I don't
- 14:26Speaker 2: want to hat a computer watch. I don't hate a
- 14:28Speaker 2: computer watch. Sometimes I'll open and do my little thing.
- 14:32Speaker 1: And we're talking about this the other day because we
- 14:34Speaker 1: had I had a because of Whittow's Bay, the lead actor,
- 14:38Speaker 1: Matthew Reese is an iconic show that I've never seen
- 14:41Speaker 1: the Americans.
- 14:42Speaker 4: So I started being started.
- 14:43Speaker 1: I started that season and I was talking to these
- 14:45Speaker 1: guys about it and the like that.
- 14:48Speaker 4: That episode seven.
- 14:49Speaker 1: I think it was season one, A lot of sexy scenes,
- 14:53Speaker 1: and you know, this is my HBO, I think. So
- 14:55Speaker 1: they're showing everything. I'm on a flight and there's a
- 14:57Speaker 1: bunch of kids around me, so it's like, so you're
- 14:59Speaker 1: doing like that. I'm not gonna stop watching, but I'm
- 15:01Speaker 1: also gonna, like oddly feel uncomfortable with, you know, watching
- 15:04Speaker 1: in front of them.
- 15:04Speaker 4: So has this happened to you?
- 15:05Speaker 2: Yes, I was gonna in Ivy the other day and
- 15:08Speaker 2: I was watching Oh my god, I was watching Industry
- 15:12Speaker 2: and it got her I see, and I was literally
- 15:15Speaker 2: like and she was like, it's okay.
- 15:18Speaker 4: That's the worst too.
- 15:19Speaker 1: You're like, oh no, sorry, and you're like, do I posit? Well,
- 15:22Speaker 1: I can't, Like she knows I'm watching this, they're watching
- 15:25Speaker 1: your cordos. All levels went the wrong direction. We can't
- 15:28Speaker 1: find the vein, sir.
- 15:29Speaker 2: I was like, I don't even want to see it.
- 15:31Speaker 2: I do it's right to go back, yes, but yeah,
- 15:36Speaker 2: I'm also watching Industry by show on TV.
- 15:38Speaker 4: It's a great shop.
- 15:39Speaker 1: All right, let's back it up a little bit, just
- 15:41Speaker 1: give everybody some context on our relationships. So I guess
- 15:45Speaker 1: this is what twenty twenty one or two three, three? Okay,
- 15:49Speaker 1: twenty three. I clocked a video of yours responded to
- 15:54Speaker 1: put it on Nick's radar. Incorrect. You cannot take credit
- 15:57Speaker 1: for that one. I found this on my own. You
- 16:00Speaker 1: found you found him.
- 16:02Speaker 2: The first to do at it.
- 16:04Speaker 4: Yeah, I know. I saw it and I responded. Kevin
- 16:07Speaker 4: got involved, and then then you.
- 16:09Speaker 1: Know, the last couple years have been incredible to watch
- 16:11Speaker 1: your your career just absolutely explode, all because of you, guys.
- 16:15Speaker 1: And that's not because it's you did it all on
- 16:18Speaker 1: your room because you're a star.
- 16:20Speaker 4: Oh that's sure, let's take credit. Hey, you know what
- 16:23Speaker 4: because of us?
- 16:25Speaker 2: It is because of you, guys.
- 16:26Speaker 1: No, it's because you've been working so hard for so
- 16:28Speaker 1: many years, even since you were a young kid. Obviously
- 16:31Speaker 1: because of your personality and your overall vibe. You you,
- 16:34Speaker 1: I'm going to get sentimental for a moment.
- 16:35Speaker 4: You have a light about you.
- 16:37Speaker 1: You have a light that brings everyone that comes in
- 16:40Speaker 1: your atmosphere a lot of joy and you and comfort.
- 16:43Speaker 1: I feel like people feel safe around you, and also
- 16:45Speaker 1: I thinn be their best. When we first met in
- 16:47Speaker 1: person at the Jimmy Found Shows, like I think it
- 16:50Speaker 1: was there maybe somebody you You're very smart, Like your
- 16:54Speaker 1: comedy is really smart, intentional.
- 16:56Speaker 2: I remember you saying that to me, and I remember
- 16:59Speaker 2: being like, that was the nicest thing anyone's ever said
- 17:01Speaker 2: to me.
- 17:02Speaker 1: It's true, Well, really great comedy you have to be
- 17:04Speaker 1: really sharp, and you are, which is why it is
- 17:08Speaker 1: is so great to have you on our pod. We're
- 17:11Speaker 1: you know, we're new to this pod game. You've been
- 17:14Speaker 1: doing it for a crushing it. How many episodes in
- 17:16Speaker 1: are you? And and who's your dream guest?
- 17:22Speaker 2: Okay, dream guest podcast, I've done one hundred and thirty
- 17:27Speaker 2: six episodes.
- 17:28Speaker 4: Wow, so awesome. Well that you well, I guess they're numbered.
- 17:31Speaker 4: I did even know that.
- 17:33Speaker 2: I just told them one twenty minutes ago because they
- 17:35Speaker 2: were like episodes if.
- 17:36Speaker 4: You recorded, right, We were like, well, I should probably.
- 17:37Speaker 2: Know this, but my dream podcast guest, you've gotten quite
- 17:42Speaker 2: a few of those dreamers too. Yeah. I would have said,
- 17:44Speaker 2: Kylie is a dream? Was a dream and it happened?
- 17:47Speaker 2: And she was like that was literally.
- 17:49Speaker 4: Like the Burken comment.
- 17:51Speaker 1: The first strap comment though, is like I see it
- 17:54Speaker 1: all the time.
- 17:54Speaker 4: It's so good.
- 17:56Speaker 2: It was the last day in my life. Like she
- 17:58Speaker 2: who was the best.
- 17:58Speaker 4: Part about it? Tell us it was a spill.
- 18:01Speaker 2: I was like, she grows like growing up to me
- 18:04Speaker 2: was like the coolest person in the world and still
- 18:06Speaker 2: is so like being able to hang out with who
- 18:10Speaker 2: I think is the coolest person in the world and
- 18:12Speaker 2: have them be so nice to me and so warm
- 18:14Speaker 2: and inviting. You're like, oh, this is why everyone loves
- 18:16Speaker 2: you so much. It was just like the beast. She's
- 18:20Speaker 2: so funny. I laughed so hard, funny, so but my
- 18:24Speaker 2: dream guest is probably well it's Taylor Swift or Jennifer Lawrence.
- 18:30Speaker 1: Jeff Lawrence is very funny, very share a birthday. August fifteenth,
- 18:33Speaker 1: You guys share a birthday?
- 18:34Speaker 2: Do you really too? What are you doing your birthday?
- 18:37Speaker 1: Hang on, Jennifer Lawrence, Now we are. I actually don't know,
- 18:41Speaker 1: and these guys actually so. I'm not sure which coast
- 18:43Speaker 1: you're on right now, but Joe doesn't have your location anymore,
- 18:47Speaker 1: so we don't know.
- 18:47Speaker 2: You're really I will reshare it after this. I don't
- 18:50Speaker 2: know what happened you guys.
- 18:51Speaker 4: Location broke up.
- 18:52Speaker 2: Oh I'm in I'm on the East coast.
- 18:56Speaker 1: It was like just the beginning of this podcast was
- 18:58Speaker 1: like running into an X. You were like, oh, I
- 19:00Speaker 1: got a new phone and iCloud and didn't. I'm like,
- 19:03Speaker 1: that's fine.
- 19:05Speaker 2: I did. I used to share an ipub with my
- 19:07Speaker 2: father for twenty five years, twenty six years family plan.
- 19:11Speaker 3: You know.
- 19:11Speaker 2: It was just like he would get my text. He'd
- 19:13Speaker 2: be like, why is Peyton texting me about going out tonight?
- 19:15Speaker 4: Oh that's it, that's a dangerous game. Oh boy, yes,
- 19:20Speaker 4: that's pretty funnyry was it?
- 19:22Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 19:22Speaker 1: I think you're you're Kevin's sister in law. Got all
- 19:25Speaker 1: of my contacts somehow one day. Look, we're still baffled
- 19:29Speaker 1: by there's a lot of there's a lot of names
- 19:31Speaker 1: that he was like, well this She was like, I
- 19:33Speaker 1: don't know this person. It's just all his contact lists
- 19:36Speaker 1: just transferred to her phone one day when we were
- 19:38Speaker 1: all hanging out.
- 19:39Speaker 4: You know, we're not really sure. Some funny games in there,
- 19:42Speaker 4: I'm sure?
- 19:43Speaker 1: Am I right to say? Did your dad write Disney
- 19:47Speaker 1: Channel shows?
- 19:48Speaker 2: He wrote one Smart House? No, he wrote a draft
- 19:54Speaker 2: of Smart House, the first Smart House when they ended
- 19:56Speaker 2: up with another person. You'll know. He wrote this movie
- 20:00Speaker 2: called Model Behavior, and he wrote a Mary Kate Nashley
- 20:05Speaker 2: movie called Switching Goals.
- 20:07Speaker 1: Switching Goals an iconic class. Wow, Wow, our we have
- 20:10Speaker 1: a our friend. Paris is the biggest Mary Kate and
- 20:13Speaker 1: Ashley fan in the world.
- 20:14Speaker 4: It would be a great guest for you too.
- 20:17Speaker 2: Did But the best thing about them is they would
- 20:19Speaker 2: never ever I haven't heard from speak and what feels
- 20:23Speaker 2: like thirty years.
- 20:24Speaker 4: I know they don't.
- 20:24Speaker 1: They don't speak, but we definitely buy their stuff. Yes,
- 20:29Speaker 1: well not everybody expensive, not everybody. Yeah, so your parents now,
- 20:33Speaker 1: so they obviously they got to be so proud of
- 20:36Speaker 1: you and excited for all what's going on in your
- 20:37Speaker 1: life and career. Do they like have any input because
- 20:40Speaker 1: he's from the industry, Is he like giving you thoughts
- 20:42Speaker 1: and ideas of it?
- 20:44Speaker 4: Yes?
- 20:45Speaker 2: And sometimes a lot it's just like he's pitching bits.
- 20:49Speaker 4: Maybe No, he's just like or is it more like career?
- 20:54Speaker 2: Give me sometimes give me like the best advice I've
- 20:58Speaker 2: ever heard of my entire life, like that I take
- 21:00Speaker 2: to like, like, like, for example, the other week, I
- 21:05Speaker 2: was like really crashed out about something and he told
- 21:10Speaker 2: I think he told Zach, my manager, who told me.
- 21:13Speaker 2: I don't even know why he didn't tell me, but
- 21:14Speaker 2: he was like, I worried about being respected too much
- 21:19Speaker 2: early in my career that it hindered me later instead
- 21:22Speaker 2: of just doing things that worked and things I was
- 21:25Speaker 2: good at and like not caring about the fact aspect
- 21:29Speaker 2: and that really hindered me. And then Zach told me that,
- 21:30Speaker 2: and I was like, oh my god, Wow, that like
- 21:33Speaker 2: completely just changed the way I like looked at my
- 21:35Speaker 2: whole week.
- 21:36Speaker 1: It's a great advice.
- 21:38Speaker 2: Yeah. He's also like like, well, you guys know that
- 21:41Speaker 2: you've been doesn't your dad work with you guys in
- 21:44Speaker 2: something the host well.
- 21:46Speaker 1: Kind of once in always right, that's how it is
- 21:48Speaker 1: in family business. But he was our manager for a
- 21:50Speaker 1: long time, and then there was a time where if
- 21:54Speaker 1: dad took over and he was just dad, it was
- 21:56Speaker 1: that was great. Yeah, and then now we work with
- 21:59Speaker 1: him again on various projects. We have a family restaurant,
- 22:02Speaker 1: so we worked with him in that. Yeah, yes, southern
- 22:05Speaker 1: food so comfort. Actually, well we had we had we
- 22:08Speaker 1: had two locations, but we're gonna they're opening more.
- 22:11Speaker 4: It's pretty wild, no, but you were saying, sorry, go ahead.
- 22:14Speaker 2: No, But that's it. He gives me really good advice
- 22:17Speaker 2: in that times. My mom gives me very good advice
- 22:20Speaker 2: in terms of like writeing and like, because she's a
- 22:24Speaker 2: journalist so like and I'm not one, but sometimes I
- 22:28Speaker 2: have to, like I'm in a situation where like it's required,
- 22:32Speaker 2: like I have to like be able to like ask
- 22:34Speaker 2: proper questions, and she'll be very helpful on that front.
- 22:39Speaker 4: That's great.
- 22:40Speaker 1: Well, I feel like, I mean to that point, I
- 22:42Speaker 1: feel like there's a thing you spoke about because I
- 22:45Speaker 1: don't remember like after was it the was after an
- 22:47Speaker 1: award show and there I got so frustrated for you
- 22:50Speaker 1: because people were like coming for you about not being
- 22:53Speaker 1: a journalist and all this, and you were like, I'm
- 22:55Speaker 1: not a journalist and I and I think it was
- 22:56Speaker 1: an interview that you said around the same time You're like,
- 22:59Speaker 1: I never said never and correct me if I'm wrong.
- 23:01Speaker 2: You're like, I don't liked that was god?
- 23:03Speaker 1: That was actually God because I was thinking, I'm like
- 23:06Speaker 1: you said, I remember the timeframe, and just maybe you
- 23:09Speaker 1: can walk us or the listener through, like you had
- 23:12Speaker 1: an interview where you're like, I'm not a journalist, and
- 23:14Speaker 1: then you did the interview and you guys were great,
- 23:17Speaker 1: were so funny, and I loved it because I'm like, yeah,
- 23:19Speaker 1: this is what people want to watch and digest. They
- 23:21Speaker 1: wanted people have conversations, not just like ask about the
- 23:24Speaker 1: project they're doing ninety nine percent of the time, So
- 23:27Speaker 1: please walk us through that, like for you, that experience, well,
- 23:31Speaker 1: one of the.
- 23:31Speaker 2: Main criticisms was that it was like, bring real journalists
- 23:34Speaker 2: back to the carpet. And I had said a week
- 23:36Speaker 2: prior to that I wasn't one. But then I think
- 23:38Speaker 2: the underlying thing in that with that, a lot of
- 23:42Speaker 2: people just like really found me annoying, which is totally valid.
- 23:46Speaker 2: I find so many people annoying, but then started to
- 23:49Speaker 2: use that as a fraud to just be like I
- 23:51Speaker 2: don't like him. And so that's where I think I
- 23:54Speaker 2: got frustrated a bit because it came as sort of
- 23:57Speaker 2: like he's just annoying, and it's like, well, yeah, yeah,
- 24:00Speaker 2: but that's not a valid criticism.
- 24:02Speaker 1: Yeah, it's like it's when you're arguing or when and
- 24:05Speaker 1: when we were growing up somebody would just say something
- 24:07Speaker 1: mean to us, or still they just say something means
- 24:10Speaker 1: like that's just you just don't like me.
- 24:12Speaker 4: That's fine, but.
- 24:13Speaker 1: Like exactly, that's not a good joke, Like your bit's
- 24:17Speaker 1: not a bit because you're just saying I don't like
- 24:19Speaker 1: this person. It's like, okay, well I can sleep at
- 24:21Speaker 1: night knowing you don't like me.
- 24:22Speaker 4: I don't care.
- 24:23Speaker 1: But to like use it as a tool and be
- 24:24Speaker 1: like he's not a real journalist, which was like ridiculous.
- 24:29Speaker 2: That was like that was my first week dealing with
- 24:32Speaker 2: any sort of like mass criticism in that sense, and
- 24:38Speaker 2: now I well, actually I was about to say I
- 24:40Speaker 2: feel well equipped to deal with it. I don't. I
- 24:42Speaker 2: never want that to happen ever, again.
- 24:44Speaker 4: Never feels good.
- 24:45Speaker 1: I mean, I think that there is always some learning
- 24:47Speaker 1: from it and the ability to like look at it
- 24:50Speaker 1: after you've gone through the hurt of a situation and listen,
- 24:54Speaker 1: someone coul look at this and go, oh, they're talking
- 24:55Speaker 1: about Hurt's like, you're still a human being. You can
- 24:57Speaker 1: feel a certainly about a situation. You've gotten through that
- 25:00Speaker 1: piece of it, you learn something about yourself and how
- 25:03Speaker 1: to approach it next time. And I do think that
- 25:05Speaker 1: that you know it to your point you just made.
- 25:08Speaker 1: I appreciate your honesty and that it's like it never
- 25:11Speaker 1: feels good.
- 25:12Speaker 4: It's like I don't want to see it again.
- 25:13Speaker 2: Yeah, it sucks, And I mean I know that I
- 25:16Speaker 2: can exactly now, but I don't want to ever again ever.
- 25:20Speaker 1: Fun No, what is your what is your like process
- 25:23Speaker 1: when something like that? I mean, I guess it's a
- 25:25Speaker 1: learning curve, Like do you speak to somebody? Do you
- 25:28Speaker 1: who's the first person you call?
- 25:30Speaker 2: Or Louise. I woke up and Louise said, oh my god,
- 25:37Speaker 2: like just rest today. Everything's canceled.
- 25:40Speaker 4: It's a you're excuse me?
- 25:43Speaker 2: And I googled my name because well I always google
- 25:45Speaker 2: my name, but also because I had died the thing
- 25:49Speaker 2: last night, and I wanted to see what people were saying,
- 25:51Speaker 2: if there was anything, And I was like, oh, I'm
- 25:55Speaker 2: going back to bed, and so I got an ivy
- 25:57Speaker 2: with Benadryl, knocked me off for like six hours, woke up,
- 26:01Speaker 2: was still miserable, and then went to bed, woke up,
- 26:06Speaker 2: and then it got worse the following day, and then eventually,
- 26:11Speaker 2: like on Thursday, I was like, Okay, I feel fine.
- 26:18Speaker 2: You know what actually made me feel fine was I
- 26:20Speaker 2: had a guest come on the show that week in
- 26:23Speaker 2: like the midst of it, and I thought they were
- 26:25Speaker 2: going to cancel, and they didn't cancel. And once I
- 26:30Speaker 2: realized that they didn't cancel and they still showed up
- 26:32Speaker 2: and I can still do my job, I was like, Okay,
- 26:36Speaker 2: I'm fine. Like if I still do my job and
- 26:39Speaker 2: have people show up and do just like keep it moving,
- 26:45Speaker 2: it's fine.
- 26:46Speaker 1: It's also like a healthy reminder too, like we all
- 26:50Speaker 1: are in our own bubble, and even though it feels
- 26:53Speaker 1: like sometimes everybody's talking about this one thing or it's
- 26:57Speaker 1: like this is all that matters, sometimes just going back
- 27:00Speaker 1: to the thing that makes you happy and remind yourself like, oh,
- 27:04Speaker 1: like Okay, that was like a moment in I like, look,
- 27:07Speaker 1: somebody once said to all of us, like look way
- 27:09Speaker 1: back and like your life was just like a string.
- 27:12Speaker 1: It's like that was that's a blip of your life
- 27:15Speaker 1: span of like a moment that maybe it's defining and
- 27:18Speaker 1: it matters, Yeah, totally, but it's like how you deal
- 27:20Speaker 1: with it. And also sometimes you gotta get back on
- 27:21Speaker 1: the horse and go do the thing you love and
- 27:23Speaker 1: remind yourself I'm good at this.
- 27:25Speaker 4: I make people happy. It's not for everybody, and that's fine.
- 27:27Speaker 2: Also, back to what you were saying, that's actually the
- 27:31Speaker 2: advice my mom usually gives me. She's like nobody. It's
- 27:36Speaker 2: like she's always told me this and sids the cake
- 27:38Speaker 2: because I'm always so like self absorbed and she's like,
- 27:40Speaker 2: nobody is thinking about you. Nobody thinking about you. That's
- 27:45Speaker 2: what she always tells me. No one cares, No one
- 27:48Speaker 2: cares about you, no one's thinking about you. Just keep
- 27:51Speaker 2: it moving.
- 27:52Speaker 1: I am well, I am looking at your location. Okay,
- 27:54Speaker 1: you could tell your.
- 27:55Speaker 2: Mother that you are.
- 27:57Speaker 5: Generally I had to say a similar thing where somebody
- 28:00Speaker 5: said to me about no like, yeah, no one's going
- 28:03Speaker 5: to bed, being like I can't believe Joe Jonas just
- 28:07Speaker 5: did that.
- 28:08Speaker 4: They're thinking about themselves typically what time and waking up?
- 28:11Speaker 4: What am I having for breakfast?
- 28:13Speaker 1: Did I set my alarm for a selfish as we
- 28:15Speaker 1: all are selfish? Yeah, And it's like that's a healthy
- 28:18Speaker 1: Most people should be that way about.
- 28:20Speaker 4: Your own stuff.
- 28:22Speaker 1: I agree, speaking of your own stuff. Natural segue, How
- 28:27Speaker 1: was the Broadway experience? Last time we spoke, you were
- 28:29Speaker 1: just about to go do it?
- 28:31Speaker 2: It was the best experience of my life, having that
- 28:34Speaker 2: routine of doing Oh yeah, I spoke to you right
- 28:37Speaker 2: before I did it.
- 28:38Speaker 4: You were leaving like the next day.
- 28:40Speaker 2: I think, yeah, eight shows a week, and just like joke,
- 28:45Speaker 2: I'm getting like really like get feeling like good every
- 28:51Speaker 2: single night, like feeling like, Okay, I worked, I did
- 28:55Speaker 2: something fun. I got to do it with fun people,
- 28:59Speaker 2: and then I got to have like immediate reception of
- 29:01Speaker 2: people being like yay, like good job. I like that
- 29:06Speaker 2: felt good. So like mentally, I mentally I was in
- 29:09Speaker 2: a really good space.
- 29:10Speaker 1: You probably prepped forward to based on your show that
- 29:13Speaker 1: you toured with with the podcast to kind of that
- 29:16Speaker 1: live serier experience, but then to translate that to Broadway,
- 29:18Speaker 1: it was probably wild.
- 29:20Speaker 2: That first night I walked on stage in my whole
- 29:23Speaker 2: because I can't control it when I get really anxious.
- 29:25Speaker 2: My whole body was shaken, every part. I could barely
- 29:28Speaker 2: sit down because every single person in my life came
- 29:31Speaker 2: on opening night, and.
- 29:33Speaker 1: It's always like a thing that you don't really think about.
- 29:36Speaker 1: You're like, yeah, oh yeah, night one's got to be
- 29:38Speaker 1: a invite everybody because I want to have a big
- 29:40Speaker 1: after party and be so fun in celibratory and then
- 29:42Speaker 1: you're like, oh my gosh, this is like everyone I
- 29:44Speaker 1: know has ever My life is flashing before my eyes.
- 29:47Speaker 4: Why is my dentist here?
- 29:49Speaker 2: Louise saw it? I think twelve times.
- 29:53Speaker 4: Wow, that's supportive, So I know I love that. All right.
- 29:57Speaker 1: We have a couple of callers that called in asking
- 29:59Speaker 1: for advice. We are you know, we've got no credentials
- 30:02Speaker 1: to be able to answer these questions. You know, we're
- 30:06Speaker 1: going to do it anyway because it's our pod. This
- 30:08Speaker 1: kind of started just from our fans calling in and
- 30:12Speaker 1: we were like, hey, we don't want to answer questions
- 30:14Speaker 1: about ourselves.
- 30:14Speaker 4: We do that quite a bit.
- 30:15Speaker 1: And then people just took that litteral and they started
- 30:17Speaker 1: asking us for advice or thoughts or comments. And sometimes
- 30:21Speaker 1: you're anonymous and we don't know what they're coming from.
- 30:23Speaker 1: So this is something you're familiar with, but I feel
- 30:26Speaker 1: like it's become its own thing. So anyway, shall we
- 30:29Speaker 1: roll a voicemail and see what we got?
- 30:30Speaker 4: Let's see.
- 30:32Speaker 3: My name is Emily, and I was just looking for
- 30:35Speaker 3: advice because my coworker has been flirting with me for
- 30:38Speaker 3: a year and a half. I finally told him I
- 30:41Speaker 3: have feelings for him, and he does not feel the same.
- 30:44Speaker 3: So just any advice on how the hell I'm supposed
- 30:47Speaker 3: to handle.
- 30:47Speaker 1: That they've got a dude or something, they've got a partner.
- 30:53Speaker 1: It's giving like they're being naughty now because.
- 30:56Speaker 2: She would have said they said they had a boyfriend
- 30:59Speaker 2: or girlfriend. I think nothing.
- 31:01Speaker 4: I think I quit my job.
- 31:05Speaker 2: Upmost psychosis I've ever experienced my entire life, like I
- 31:09Speaker 2: would never leave my house ever again.
- 31:11Speaker 1: You flirted with me and then now you're not interested.
- 31:15Speaker 2: I would be angry. I would go through all stages
- 31:17Speaker 2: of grief. I would be anger did not I'd be like, no, no, no,
- 31:19Speaker 2: it can't be like every Oh my god, I'd.
- 31:22Speaker 4: Be like this was plan all along.
- 31:25Speaker 1: You just I think they just wanted to know if
- 31:27Speaker 1: they had the game, They're like, can I just do
- 31:29Speaker 1: that chase enough?
- 31:31Speaker 2: I would. I would literally be like wait what, I'd like, you're.
- 31:34Speaker 1: Looking for a work wife, not a real wife, Like
- 31:36Speaker 1: you know what, I would take them to court, so
- 31:43Speaker 1: we'll take them. We'll take them to couples court or
- 31:45Speaker 1: work court first of all, or just take it take
- 31:48Speaker 1: them to HR.
- 31:49Speaker 4: Wow.
- 31:50Speaker 2: I like that, you would go HR. Or you could
- 31:52Speaker 2: hold out a Hope for the holiday party and just
- 31:55Speaker 2: like really hope.
- 31:56Speaker 1: That Like wait, first of all, that's a rom com,
- 31:58Speaker 1: Christmas rom com right there, I've got it. Hold Out
- 32:00Speaker 1: for the Holidays work party, which hold Out Hope is
- 32:03Speaker 1: the name of the movie. Oh yeah, and it's a
- 32:07Speaker 1: whole it's a whole setup. Or she like she like
- 32:11Speaker 1: plays this game with her coworker. She's like, I'm wanna
- 32:14Speaker 1: hold out I following in love with this guy. And
- 32:17Speaker 1: the bet and the bet is She's like, I bet
- 32:19Speaker 1: you before before the Christmas party, you'll fall in love.
- 32:22Speaker 1: Is Hope her name? Oh yeah, hold out Hope. Now
- 32:26Speaker 1: we're in. Now we're sold the same thing. We're like,
- 32:28Speaker 1: if hope's her name, we're in. And she holds out
- 32:31Speaker 1: falling in love, not hold out like sex like falling
- 32:34Speaker 1: in love.
- 32:34Speaker 2: That's maybe a little bit of that too.
- 32:37Speaker 4: Yeah it's twenty you know it.
- 32:39Speaker 1: And then act too should be called hold back hope
- 32:41Speaker 1: because that's when she's about to like beat his ass. Yeah,
- 32:45Speaker 1: this became a slasher. Then it's a Christmas slasher, Holiday slasher. Okay,
- 32:50Speaker 1: that's what we all like. Okay, let's roll the next one.
- 32:52Speaker 1: That's a good advice. Just be mad, be mad and
- 32:55Speaker 1: go to HR.
- 32:56Speaker 6: Hey guys, my name's Megan from Texas. I was just
- 33:00Speaker 6: wondering how you guys as adults do with making friends.
- 33:03Speaker 6: I feel like the generation right now has a really
- 33:05Speaker 6: hard time with making friends. And you know, in college,
- 33:09Speaker 6: they set up groups and places for you to go
- 33:11Speaker 6: to meet people and it was so easy. But now
- 33:13Speaker 6: living in a new city on your own, it's kind
- 33:16Speaker 6: of hard to make friends. Even going to like a
- 33:18Speaker 6: church and everything, it's still kind of difficult. So as
- 33:20Speaker 6: an adult, how do you make like real friendship.
- 33:24Speaker 2: I've actually found this to be the summer of making
- 33:26Speaker 2: new friends. I've made so many friends the summer which
- 33:29Speaker 2: I found them, and I think it's because I started
- 33:33Speaker 2: leaving my house a bit more and like going out.
- 33:35Speaker 2: So like this no matter what, like what city she's in,
- 33:37Speaker 2: Like I'm sure she has a friend that has a
- 33:39Speaker 2: friend that lives there. She could go out with bat
- 33:41Speaker 2: friend and then they'll go out to the bar with
- 33:42Speaker 2: those friends friends, and then she'll meet friends with one
- 33:45Speaker 2: of the friends friends. And that's what you.
- 33:46Speaker 4: Make I think you've got to get out of the house,
- 33:48Speaker 4: got to go.
- 33:48Speaker 2: Do you have to step out?
- 33:50Speaker 1: There's not always going to be a group that you're
- 33:52Speaker 1: going to like, because I think sometimes the problems was
- 33:54Speaker 1: like like you look online, you're like this though, like
- 33:57Speaker 1: it's the bowling league or whatever. It's like I don't
- 33:59Speaker 1: like bowling. I don't want to go bowling. I'm not
- 34:01Speaker 1: going to sign up for everything. You just got to
- 34:02Speaker 1: go walk around get you know, Yeah, I have a
- 34:04Speaker 1: question for the group here or just just a you know,
- 34:08Speaker 1: a qualifier sorts. What number of hangouts with somebody do
- 34:14Speaker 1: you go that's my friend?
- 34:15Speaker 4: Oh, there's a study about it.
- 34:17Speaker 1: There's actually a study about this, and I think it's
- 34:18Speaker 1: like there's like it's like forty eight thousand hours. It
- 34:23Speaker 1: is like what a real friend forty eight thousand hours,
- 34:26Speaker 1: not thousand. Hold on, that's insane.
- 34:29Speaker 2: A month of hanging out, I'd be like, oh my god, Like,
- 34:31Speaker 2: that's my new friend. I went a week in Paris
- 34:37Speaker 2: with because I was working on something and this one
- 34:40Speaker 2: girl was there. Her name's Emily, and we spent like
- 34:43Speaker 2: four days together and like at the end of it,
- 34:45Speaker 2: I was like, that's my new friend.
- 34:46Speaker 1: So you just you went on the set of Emily
- 34:48Speaker 1: in Paris and you've got a new friend. That's how
- 34:51Speaker 1: just we should tell this person that callor go go
- 34:53Speaker 1: on the set of Emaily in Paris. Fifty hours together
- 34:55Speaker 1: is an acquaintance, a casual friend, ninety hours is a
- 34:58Speaker 1: casual friend friend. Two hundred p hours as a close friend.
- 35:01Speaker 1: Oh that's about right. I mean that's about a month.
- 35:04Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean I don't know. I don't know mass
- 35:06Speaker 4: made that up.
- 35:07Speaker 1: Of course I've I've like most recently, found like in
- 35:10Speaker 1: the last three years, my new like my best friend
- 35:14Speaker 1: I think I will have for the rest of my life.
- 35:16Speaker 2: Oh my god, Kevin, that's beautiful.
- 35:18Speaker 1: Oh it's my friend Jason. You know, you guys know him,
- 35:20Speaker 1: but like truly, like you know, you don't at forty
- 35:24Speaker 1: almost damn near forty, like you don't expect to make.
- 35:26Speaker 4: Like, now, are you working with this person any in
- 35:28Speaker 4: any way? You know? So there's just a friend, straight
- 35:31Speaker 4: up a friend.
- 35:31Speaker 1: Like you guys haven't talked about Oh we should do
- 35:33Speaker 1: this business idea together?
- 35:34Speaker 4: Nothing?
- 35:35Speaker 1: No, I love that. That's a I think that's Is
- 35:37Speaker 1: that a new Gator rader? Is that the same one?
- 35:39Speaker 2: It's the same one.
- 35:40Speaker 1: I feel like I'm losing Are you actually drinking this
- 35:42Speaker 1: or is just going to your mouth? Because I'm like,
- 35:46Speaker 1: I hasn't seen You've been doing it a lot, but
- 35:47Speaker 1: I haven't seen it decrease at all.
- 35:50Speaker 2: I know it's because I cut my lip wall shave
- 35:53Speaker 2: and so if I like, really go for it there.
- 35:55Speaker 4: Oh it's the worst.
- 35:58Speaker 2: Jake.
- 35:58Speaker 4: We love you so much. Thank you almost for taking
- 36:00Speaker 4: the time.
- 36:00Speaker 2: Welcome back anytime.
- 36:03Speaker 4: This was so fun, And let's hang and I don't know,
- 36:07Speaker 4: maybe sure share location.
- 36:09Speaker 2: Figure that out literally right now?
- 36:11Speaker 4: Please?
- 36:12Speaker 1: He throlled that everything's crushing. Congrats on everything or something
- 36:17Speaker 1: that you had like a friend summer. That's fantastic friend summer,
- 36:20Speaker 1: happy friend summer.
