- 0:00Speaker 1: Is this the best time to buy elite tech stocks
- 0:04Speaker 1: on sale?
- 0:05Speaker 2: Yes, every month is more important than a month, and
- 0:09Speaker 2: I'll talk about it invest Fest and Sock Club best
- 0:12Speaker 2: months to buy, I'll give you that.
- 0:16Speaker 3: In this environment in which we're in, because like in post.
- 0:21Speaker 2: Dot com crash, post Obama, we had the quantitative easing
- 0:25Speaker 2: effect where the interest rates were so low that it
- 0:28Speaker 2: drove the market up. We're in a different kind of
- 0:31Speaker 2: quantitative easing while the returns are so high you can't
- 0:35Speaker 2: afford because of inflation, to have your money on the side.
- 0:37Speaker 2: And that's the other part that no one's really talking about,
- 0:40Speaker 2: is like the capital has to be deployed because the
- 0:43Speaker 2: cost of missing out is too high.
- 0:48Speaker 1: Because I actually got from black Fox. So let me
- 0:49Speaker 1: ask you, because you're you're an expert. And when it
- 0:52Speaker 1: comes to technology stocks, at one point, IBM was the
- 0:57Speaker 1: king of technology. IBM is there not that company?
- 1:01Speaker 3: Elite?
- 1:02Speaker 1: De stock is not elite. So we're looking at Microsoft
- 1:05Speaker 1: being stacked them for a long time and all of
- 1:08Speaker 1: these types.
- 1:11Speaker 4: Microsoft two years, that's not long time, a long time relative. Well,
- 1:16Speaker 4: last year was at four. Relatively speaking, I'm saying last
- 1:19Speaker 4: year was at four. Okay, two year chartist negative. Two
- 1:22Speaker 4: years ago Microsoft was at four hundred and forty eight dollars.
- 1:25Speaker 4: Right now it's that four hundred dollars. So two years
- 1:27Speaker 4: is less than what it was two years ago today today.
- 1:30Speaker 4: Two years ago today it was forty eight dollars a
- 1:33Speaker 4: good point. Two years ago today was higher than what
- 1:36Speaker 4: it was and what it is now. While in that
- 1:39Speaker 4: same time we've seen all of these new newer technology
- 1:44Speaker 4: companies go hybolically crazy. So, okay, at some point in time,
- 1:53Speaker 4: even the greatest player of all time starts to decline.
- 1:57Speaker 1: So are we looking at a new wave? We're saying
- 2:00Speaker 1: by tech stocks, the it's always a ton of buy textbocks. Okay,
- 2:04Speaker 1: are the new class of tech stocks taking their place
- 2:09Speaker 1: of the old class of tech stocks for out? Because
- 2:12Speaker 1: the whole point of investing in the Max seven textocks
- 2:15Speaker 1: was you get out of normal return But I was
- 2:20Speaker 1: never a Max seven investor. Okay, just Teching two Tech
- 2:24Speaker 1: two Tech right, Apple, Amazon, you're getting out of normal
- 2:27Speaker 1: returns the last few years, the last few years, you
- 2:32Speaker 1: got less than normal returns.
- 2:34Speaker 3: It depends on what you bought.
- 2:37Speaker 1: In general, they've underperformed, they've underperformed that the major tech
- 2:42Speaker 1: companies have underperformed the newer superstars in the space or
- 2:46Speaker 1: emerging superstars in the space. Is it what about that?
- 2:50Speaker 1: What's the question people are asking the question? Is it
- 2:54Speaker 1: time to say, Okay, I'm still investing in tech, but
- 2:58Speaker 1: I'm going to invest in the rookies. I'm invest in
- 3:01Speaker 1: a two years instead of investing in.
- 3:03Speaker 3: The Yeah, okay, I thought you were.
- 3:06Speaker 1: I want to I want to prioritize m you saying this,
- 3:10Speaker 1: I wanted. I want to go with the space X.
- 3:12Speaker 1: I want to go with the newer, the new breed,
- 3:15Speaker 1: because I feel like in ten years this is going
- 3:18Speaker 1: to be the new mag seven.
- 3:20Speaker 2: Okay, And they're trying to frame the already now with mangos, right,
- 3:23Speaker 2: they got they got it accurate. Sorry, the answer is
- 3:26Speaker 2: it's a great question. By the way, I misunderstated at first,
- 3:29Speaker 2: but I got it. I get this every day rookies
- 3:32Speaker 2: versus vets. You have to do what owners do. Take
- 3:39Speaker 2: me out of it, do what owners do? You have
- 3:41Speaker 2: to layer your team with both. The answer isn't either
- 3:46Speaker 2: or kudos or for Tita and Kiati and never you
- 3:50Speaker 2: know what I mean. Any time I got to the
- 3:51Speaker 2: Rockets game, got a little chance to have a little
- 3:52Speaker 2: pow wow. The layering of new assets in real estate, business, equities,
- 4:01Speaker 2: venture shot to our guy, I don't know if we
- 4:05Speaker 2: would have mentioned his name, but he'll be an invest fest.
- 4:08Speaker 2: You have to layer them together like JINGI pieces to me.
- 4:12Speaker 2: I always called it a totem pole. You got a
- 4:13Speaker 2: totem pole and trading and same and investing, so you
- 4:17Speaker 2: may restructure like Apple still hit an all time high.
- 4:22Speaker 3: Microsoft is lagging behind. But even for stock Club.
- 4:27Speaker 2: That deep dip that they had, like I called that,
- 4:30Speaker 2: and we like most of the people in stock Club
- 4:32Speaker 2: are up even if they got in.
- 4:33Speaker 3: This year based on price. So if you have a
- 4:37Speaker 3: slot for eight, you need to do four new ones
- 4:41Speaker 3: and four old ones.
- 4:42Speaker 2: So but you also have to know the new ones
- 4:45Speaker 2: that are going to thrive in two years versus they were.
- 4:49Speaker 2: It's a bunch of people who were supposed to be
- 4:50Speaker 2: Jordan injuries happening. They didn't have the sticktuitiveness, and we
- 4:56Speaker 2: can see it in the CEOs. I think Microsoft and
- 4:59Speaker 2: Meta have been beat up unfavorably, but I think in
- 5:03Speaker 2: the long term they'll be okay. And then of course
- 5:05Speaker 2: new players have come in and gotten high returns. Some
- 5:08Speaker 2: of these companies that have gotten high returns over a
- 5:10Speaker 2: year or two, they won't get high returns next year.
- 5:13Speaker 2: So you have to know which. But the answer is
- 5:15Speaker 2: to do what the owner does. And you have to
- 5:18Speaker 2: have both, got it? You have to have both, And really.
- 5:24Speaker 3: It depends on how much money you like.
- 5:26Speaker 2: For me, if you're investing hundreds of thousands of millions
- 5:32Speaker 2: into the market, you have to lean on a side
- 5:36Speaker 2: of conservatism versus if you're starting off trying to get
- 5:39Speaker 2: to your first hundred. If you're trying to get to
- 5:40Speaker 2: your first hundred, put all the money on the rookies.
- 5:44Speaker 2: But if you have a lot more money to lose.
- 5:46Speaker 3: You're going to have.
- 5:47Speaker 2: Because I've also gotten them calls where it's like, yo,
- 5:50Speaker 2: I bet on this, so I got on this two times,
- 5:52Speaker 2: levered this, and now I'm down three and a half million.
- 5:55Speaker 3: Why the hell you do that? Why I wanted to
- 5:57Speaker 3: take this from three to six or three to eight.
- 6:00Speaker 5: It's moving there. You've got to be careful. You got
- 6:02Speaker 5: to be careful. Yeah, it's tough, man. Do you have
- 6:06Speaker 5: to do both? I think the most important thing is
- 6:09Speaker 5: build a foundation. And because I just got a text,
- 6:14Speaker 5: I leave them anonymous they're like, yo, trure, I just
- 6:15Speaker 5: sold in video.
- 6:18Speaker 3: And I'm like, all right, I understand it.
- 6:20Speaker 5: They're looking at companies like Micron, they're looking at a
- 6:23Speaker 5: saying this. They're even looking like at an ARM recently,
- 6:25Speaker 5: and they're saying those companies are moving faster. They're not
- 6:29Speaker 5: a trillion dollar companies yet. Micron is san disk is,
- 6:32Speaker 5: an ARM isn't. But they have the potential to get there,
- 6:35Speaker 5: and so that point is fair. I get that point,
- 6:37Speaker 5: and I understand people want to have growth, but you
- 6:40Speaker 5: should also want to have your foundation, because at some point,
- 6:44Speaker 5: if you look at Video and you look at a
- 6:47Speaker 5: Microsoft formata, the reason that they have pulled back is
- 6:51Speaker 5: for the same thing. Because they're saying, you are spending,
- 6:55Speaker 5: and you are spending for a build out that we
- 6:58Speaker 5: haven't been able to put a return on yet.
- 7:01Speaker 3: But then they believe the numbers space. Here's the part.
- 7:04Speaker 3: Here's the part.
- 7:05Speaker 5: Here's the part the company that they're spending with the
- 7:09Speaker 5: rookies that you're buying. So the reason that Micron is
- 7:12Speaker 5: running is because Jensen said twenty twenty two, look, we're
- 7:16Speaker 5: gonna need memory.
- 7:16Speaker 3: This is Jason, this is Jaylen Bronson. Thing I'm gonna
- 7:19Speaker 3: get some capital.
- 7:21Speaker 5: The reason that Caterpillar runs is because we got to
- 7:24Speaker 5: figure out we need energy. The reason that GeV runs,
- 7:26Speaker 5: Hey we got energy for these data sames and so.
- 7:29Speaker 5: At some point right and we're not here yet, the
- 7:34Speaker 5: revenue that they spent with those companies will slow down
- 7:39Speaker 5: and the profitability of the companies that's.
- 7:41Speaker 3: Spent will contract.
- 7:42Speaker 5: We'll start to contract and start to appreciate again via
- 7:47Speaker 5: Microsoft Meta and video. And it's not to even say
- 7:51Speaker 5: contract because yes, at last year was at one hundred
- 7:54Speaker 5: dollars and today is sitting at two ten or two twelve,
- 7:57Speaker 5: and we saw it get to two thirty seven this year.
- 8:00Speaker 5: But the same theme that brought them down eventually, because
- 8:05Speaker 5: these are again multi trillion dollar company even Google, Amazon,
- 8:09Speaker 5: same thing right is to spend, is to spend spend.
- 8:12Speaker 5: The only one that hasn't had lost attributed to capex
- 8:17Speaker 5: spend is Apple, and that's because we really don't know.
- 8:21Speaker 3: Yeah, we don't even know what the AI plan is
- 8:23Speaker 3: for them. But yes, have a mixture.
- 8:27Speaker 5: Just be mindful that the way that these companies are
- 8:30Speaker 5: moving right like Sands, that was twenty that was November
- 8:35Speaker 5: right here on market mondays it was one hundred and
- 8:37Speaker 5: ninety seven dollars. It was that twenty one hundred dollars right, like, yeah,
- 8:42Speaker 5: that that rookie as apple. Can it get to a
- 8:45Speaker 5: trillion dollars? Well, for it to get the trillion, it
- 8:48Speaker 5: have to trade at nearly six thousand dollars.
- 8:50Speaker 2: A shit trip, and you're catching the rookie. You gotta
- 8:54Speaker 2: catch the rookies before they're hot. You know in the
- 8:57Speaker 2: finals you can't you can't buy deal Harper negotiations.
- 9:02Speaker 5: In the words of you in listen the first time
- 9:04Speaker 5: when it was two hundred and I said it on,
- 9:06Speaker 5: go do it. Then at twenty one hundred, you still
- 9:09Speaker 5: think it. Shout, it's too late. The rookies are going
- 9:11Speaker 5: to be great now. Some rookies don't pan out to
- 9:13Speaker 5: have great careers.
- 9:14Speaker 3: Hopefully these do. We're invested in a lot of them.
- 9:17Speaker 3: But just know that those vets are the foundation that
- 9:19Speaker 3: make the stand up.
- 9:20Speaker 5: They don't spend, then those companies don't jet the.
- 9:26Speaker 3: Right They need the vets.
- 9:27Speaker 2: And once again, the ETFs is the all stars. So
- 9:29Speaker 2: you don't have to spend all of this time be laboring.
- 9:33Speaker 2: If you're not listening, bro, shot, that's a great question.
- 9:36Speaker 2: That's a great question.
