- 0:02Speaker 1: We all want our kids to grow up safe and healthy,
- 0:05Speaker 1: so we show them how. And we tell them with
- 0:08Speaker 1: honest conversations that let them know what we expect. Not
- 0:12Speaker 1: just one time, but every chance we get. That's especially
- 0:16Speaker 1: important when it comes to alcohol and other drugs. Kids
- 0:19Speaker 1: not only need to know the dangers and how to
- 0:22Speaker 1: avoid them, they need to hear it often from you.
- 0:25Speaker 1: And when it comes to pain medications, opioids, they need
- 0:29Speaker 1: to know that they should never be taken without a
- 0:31Speaker 1: prescription and never shared with friends or family. It's dangerous
- 0:35Speaker 1: and illegal. So talk with your kids and guide them
- 0:39Speaker 1: through the challenges of growing up safe and healthy. Because
- 0:42Speaker 1: when you talk, they hear you. For more information about
- 0:46Speaker 1: talking with your kids about underage use of alcohol and
- 0:48Speaker 1: other drugs, visit underagedrinking.samhsa.gov.
- 0:52Speaker 2: So talk, they hear you.
- 0:56Speaker 3: You can do it if you try.
- 0:59Speaker 4: Now more than ever.
- 1:00Speaker 5: It's about reporting the facts to the American people.
- 1:02Speaker 6: The truth.
- 1:03Speaker 5: The correct information.
- 1:05Speaker 2: Important issues that are facing this country.
- 1:07Speaker 5: The stories. All those stories. Here's the thing. Both Democrats
- 1:10Speaker 5: and Republicans. I have some news to share with all
- 1:13Speaker 5: of you. Information.
- 1:14Speaker 7: Bringing together information.
- 1:16Speaker 5: Incidents happening across the country.
- 1:17Speaker 8: Down to the county level.
- 1:19Speaker 5: Affects real people in the real world. So I've got
- 1:22Speaker 5: some news for you.
- 1:24Speaker 7: This is 570 WKBN.
- 1:28Speaker 5: Each and every day.
- 1:29Speaker 9: Nothing makes any sense.
- 1:31Speaker 1: In a world gone.
- 1:32Speaker 10: That's insanity.
- 1:33Speaker 7: Crazy.
- 1:34Speaker 5: Nothing makes sense anymore, anymore.
- 1:38Speaker 11: There is clarity in conversation.
- 1:40Speaker 7: You are what I need to hear. 570 WKBN.
- 1:44Speaker 6: Hey, it's Ron Burb, and my show is all about
- 1:48Speaker 6: the Valley.
- 1:48Speaker 7: After Guardians Baseball on 570 WKBN.
- 1:55Speaker 6: Chase Petty is coming on to pitch for Cincinnati, a
- 1:58Speaker 6: hard-throwing right-hander, mid-to-upper 90s fastball and sinker. He also features
- 2:05Speaker 6: the slider and the changeup.
- 2:09Speaker 7: Chase Petty.
- 2:12Speaker 6: Will face Patrick Bailey, batting left-handed, 0 for 3, switch-hitting catcher,
- 2:17Speaker 6: who fouls back the first offering, strike one. Petty. His
- 2:22Speaker 6: 14th appearance, a win, a save, a 4.23 ERA.
- 2:34Speaker 12: Petty.
- 2:36Speaker 5: Fires.
- 2:37Speaker 7: And it's high and wide, one and one. Petty is
- 2:43Speaker 7: just 23 years of age, 6 feet 200 pounds.
- 2:53Speaker 6: Down the 1-1, and it's hit on the ground up
- 2:56Speaker 6: the middle to his right, backhanded by Arroyo. Second baseman straightens,
- 3:00Speaker 6: throws out the Cleveland catcher. Petty was a first-round pick
- 3:07Speaker 6: by Minnesota, 26th overall five years ago, and the Reds
- 3:11Speaker 6: got him when they dealt Sonny Gray to Minnesota. Went
- 3:21Speaker 6: to the same high school In Jersey, outside of Philadelphia,
- 3:25Speaker 6: that produced Mike Trout. Here's Petey helping. He swings and
- 3:30Speaker 6: fouls it off, strike one. Six runs, eight hits, Cleveland.
- 3:49Speaker 6: Five runs, 11 hits, Cincinnati. We're in the ninth.
- 3:55Speaker 7: The pitch.
- 3:56Speaker 6: Helping rips one into right between first and second. He
- 4:00Speaker 6: has a two-hit game. Top of the order now. Stephen Kwan,
- 4:05Speaker 6: one for four with a single. Cade Smith will be
- 4:09Speaker 6: facing nine, one, and two in Tito's lineup in the
- 4:14Speaker 6: bottom of the ninth.
- 4:20Speaker 7: Helping.
- 4:21Speaker 6: Let's see if he is running. He's six for six
- 4:24Speaker 6: in the stolen base department. Tyler Stevenson's not throwing very well.
- 4:29Speaker 6: The pitch, and it's in there. Cleveland has swiped three
- 4:33Speaker 6: bases today. Stevenson throwing out just 18% of the would-be
- 4:40Speaker 6: base steals. That is not good. The one-strike pitch. And
- 4:51Speaker 6: it's lifted in the air to left.
- 4:53Speaker 7: Not deep. Coming on. Diving is free. He made another
- 4:56Speaker 7: heck of a catch. Boy, he's a good outfielder.
- 5:00Speaker 6: He takes a hit away from Kwon.
- 5:03Speaker 7: Back to first is helping. Two down. That'll bring up
- 5:07Speaker 7: Jose Ramirez. Two hits. Two steals. Two runs scored.
- 5:13Speaker 6: He manufactured a run for Cleveland when they tied the
- 5:16Speaker 6: game in the fifth.
- 5:22Speaker 7: 6-5 Cleveland. Ninth inning. Runner at first. Two down. Ramirez
- 5:26Speaker 7: batting left-handed. The pitch. And it's in there.
- 5:34Speaker 6: Posey admits that left hand where he had the broken
- 5:37Speaker 6: hamate surgery to remove that bone. Still very sore, but
- 5:42Speaker 6: he said that's no excuse.
- 5:45Speaker 7: Play through. The 0-1. And it's outside. A changeup. 1-1 and.
- 5:51Speaker 6: There's not a tougher customer in the game than Jose
- 5:54Speaker 6: Ramirez and a guy that can will your team to
- 5:58Speaker 6: a win.
- 6:01Speaker 7: Now the 1-1.
- 6:07Speaker 6: And he sends a line drive to center, but right
- 6:10Speaker 6: at Myers, and we'll go to the bottom of the ninth.
- 6:13Speaker 6: Cade Smith will be looking for his Major League leading
- 6:17Speaker 6: 30th save.
- 6:19Speaker 4: Six to five, Guardians. Every small business owner dreams of
- 6:23Speaker 4: hitting a home run. For me, that home run was
- 6:25Speaker 4: finding Gusto, the online payroll and benefit software built for
- 6:29Speaker 4: small businesses. Gusto is all-in-one, remote-friendly, and covers all your bases.

- 6:51Speaker 8: Hi, Max the Bald Eagle from Marathon here. We asked
- 6:55Speaker 8: people if they could do an impression of me.
- 6:57Speaker 5: Have a listen.
- 6:59Speaker 1: Ah!
- 7:02Speaker 4: Ah!
- 7:03Speaker 13: Ah! Ah!
- 7:09Speaker 14: You can save up to a dollar a gallon with
- 7:10Speaker 14: the Marathon Rewards app.
- 7:14Speaker 8: That last one was pretty good. Marathon, where fun runs
- 7:17Speaker 8: on full. Available at participating Marathon locations. Terms and conditions apply.
- 7:20Speaker 8: See MarathonRewards.com for details. Okay, you say, I want some breakfast.
- 7:26Speaker 10: Your so-called boyfriend says, we got eggs in the fridge.
- 7:30Speaker 5: Obviously, when you say breakfast, you mean McDonald's.
- 7:34Speaker 7: Definitely a side-eye situation.
- 7:37Speaker 4: Is back and is delicious.
- 7:39Speaker 12: For a limited time, get a sausage McMuffin with egg,
- 7:41Speaker 12: hash browns, and a small hot coffee for just $ 5.
- 7:44Speaker 5: Only at McDonald's.
- 7:46Speaker 10: Price and participation may vary.
- 7:47Speaker 13: Cannot be combined with any other offer or combo meal.
- 7:52Speaker 7: Swung on. There's a high fly ball. Launched to right field.
- 7:57Speaker 6: Home run, Jose Ramirez. This is Jim Rosenhouse, and you
- 8:02Speaker 6: are listening to the Cleveland Clinic Guardians Radio Network.
- 8:07Speaker 7: It's Ron Furb, and I've got opinions you'll want to hear.
- 8:10Speaker 7: After Guardians Baseball on 570 WKBN.
- 8:17Speaker 6: Well, 6-5 Cleveland. Cade Smith comes on. 29 for 33
- 8:23Speaker 6: in the save department. ERA 263. 19 more strikeouts than
- 8:30Speaker 6: innings pitched. Upper 90s fastball slider splits.
- 8:35Speaker 7: T.J. Friedel, the batter.
- 8:37Speaker 6: 0 for 3. A pop-up, two fly-outs. In close at third,
- 8:42Speaker 6: Jose Ramirez. The pitch, Friedel takes. It's in there, a
- 8:47Speaker 6: called strike. That was 100 miles per hour on the fastball.
- 8:57Speaker 6: The next delivery, and it's fouled upstairs, and it's another
- 9:02Speaker 6: 100 miles an hour.
- 9:03Speaker 7: 0 and 2.
- 9:11Speaker 6: Bullpen's in about as good a shape as it's been because, well,
- 9:15Speaker 6: this past weekend in St. Pete, never had a lead late.
- 9:19Speaker 6: So your key late-ending guys weren't needed. The pitch, and
- 9:26Speaker 6: he missed outside. One ball, two strengths. Hunter Gattis scoreless inning,
- 9:32Speaker 6: gave up a couple of hits, struck out a batter.
- 9:35Speaker 6: Cleveland's bullpen has today been on since the fourth inning.
- 9:39Speaker 7: It's given up one run.
- 9:40Speaker 6: Friedel sends that pitch up in the air, behind home plate, foul.
- 9:45Speaker 6: Patrick Bailey lunging to his left, made the catch as
- 9:49Speaker 6: he had overrun it just a bit, and that ball
- 9:52Speaker 6: started to go back toward the plate. Nice job by
- 9:58Speaker 6: Bailey to stick with it. That is not an easy play.
- 10:02Speaker 6: One down, top of the order, Ellie Delacruz. Switch hitter
- 10:05Speaker 6: batting left-handed. Delacruz, two for four, couple of singles. Six
- 10:17Speaker 6: to five, Cleveland here in the ninth. De La Cruz
- 10:20Speaker 6: does have 18 bombs. He takes, it's in there, a strike,
- 10:25Speaker 6: a split finger. De La Cruz hits out of a
- 10:35Speaker 6: very open stance. He will strike out a lot. The pitch,
- 10:46Speaker 6: and it's down and away, one and one. Della Cruz
- 10:59Speaker 6: out of the DR, the pitch to him, wide, 2-1.
- 11:13Speaker 6: Cade Smith lets it rip, missed inside, 3-1 the count.
- 11:22Speaker 6: Cleveland is out of challenges on any close pitch if
- 11:26Speaker 6: they wanted a challenge.
- 11:30Speaker 7: Now the 3-1. There's a strike on the outer edge.
- 11:34Speaker 6: Della Cruz got a 100-mile-an-hour fastball on the outside corner.
- 11:39Speaker 6: Nothing you can do with that pitch. Full count now
- 11:42Speaker 6: in the red shortstop. One out in the ninth. Cleveland
- 11:45Speaker 6: clinging to a 6-5 lead. With the all-star closer, Cade Smith,
- 11:51Speaker 6: looking for save number 30. The payoff pitch. God of
- 11:58Speaker 6: swinging on a 100-mile-an-hour heat. Two down in the Reds'
- 12:04Speaker 6: ninth inning. Cleveland's bullpen, starting with Franco Alamon. If you
- 12:13Speaker 6: include this ninth inning, in five innings, they have struck
- 12:18Speaker 6: out eight Here's Sal Stewart, the last hope. Their best
- 12:24Speaker 6: home run power man.
- 12:26Speaker 7: The pitch.
- 12:28Speaker 6: Just missed. Bailey held it. Didn't get the call. Sal
- 12:34Speaker 6: Stewart hit his 22nd homer. A solo shot to center earlier.
- 12:40Speaker 6: Plus a two-run single. Righty-righty matchup.
- 12:44Speaker 7: The pitch. Slider down and away. 2-0 on Stewart.
- 12:49Speaker 6: 6-5 Cleveland in the ninth. Kate Smith works quickly. Here
- 12:57Speaker 6: it comes.
- 13:00Speaker 7: Bullseye.
- 13:01Speaker 6: And Stewart challenges the call. And it was a strike.
- 13:13Speaker 6: So both teams out of challenges. The count stays.
- 13:16Speaker 13: 2-1.
- 13:20Speaker 6: Two down, ninth inning, 6-5 Cleveland. Cade Smith is ready.
- 13:26Speaker 6: Here it comes. Way outside, yanked the fastball. He is
- 13:31Speaker 6: sitting 100 miles per hour in the fastball here today.
- 13:38Speaker 6: And Stewart steps away. Boy, Smith has some kind of giddy-up.
- 13:44Speaker 6: He hasn't pitched since the Minnesota series five days ago.
- 13:48Speaker 7: Now the 3-1. Checked and took a strike. Full count.
- 13:54Speaker 6: Took a little something off that fastball. 99 miles per hour.
- 13:59Speaker 6: Reds down to their last strike. The payoff pitch.
- 14:05Speaker 7: Wide.
- 14:06Speaker 6: He walked him. Sal Stewart with a two-out walk. Winning
- 14:10Speaker 6: run to the plate.
- 14:11Speaker 7: And J.J. Blede.
- 14:16Speaker 6: If you're wondering. Kate Smith has given up four home runs.
- 14:21Speaker 6: Ladeo for four. He's hit 17 home runs. He's a guy,
- 14:27Speaker 6: the book on him now is pitch away, away, away.
- 14:32Speaker 6: The pitch, and it's down and in. Missed with a
- 14:34Speaker 6: split finger. Tying run at first, winning run at the plate.
- 14:42Speaker 6: Two down, ninth inning. Six to five, Cleveland in game one.
- 14:46Speaker 6: Another one at 7-10 tonight. The next pitch, swung on,
- 14:50Speaker 6: line to right field. Coming on, diving, Martinez. He made
- 14:55Speaker 6: the catch! Ball game! A great diving catch in right
- 15:02Speaker 6: field by Angel Martinez. And Cleveland takes game one today
- 15:08Speaker 6: on the banks of the Ohio River.
- 15:10Speaker 7: Six to five.
- 15:13Speaker 15: Do you know a veteran in need? After leaving the military,

- 17:07Speaker 6: Welcome back to downtown Cincinnati. What a way to start
- 17:10Speaker 6: this day-night doubleheader. A great diving catch in right field
- 17:14Speaker 6: by Angel Martinez to end it. Cleveland got a grand
- 17:17Speaker 6: slam from Kyle Manzardo in the first inning to take
- 17:20Speaker 6: a 4-0 lead after having not scored since Friday night
- 17:24Speaker 6: in St.
- 17:25Speaker 7: Pete.
- 17:26Speaker 6: Then Cleveland fell behind 5-4 and then scratched their way
- 17:30Speaker 6: back to tie it and win it in the late innings. Cleveland,
- 17:34Speaker 6: six runs on nine hits, no errors, five left. Cincinnati,
- 17:38Speaker 6: five runs, 11 hits, one error, and seven stranded. Colin Holderman,
- 17:43Speaker 6: the win in relief, he's six and two. 30th save
- 17:47Speaker 6: for Cade Smith, 30 saves before the month of August.
- 17:51Speaker 6: Loss pinned on Sam Maul, he's one and seven. Game 1,
- 17:55Speaker 6: 2 hours, 55 minutes. Paid attendance, 16,866. Cleveland stops its
- 18:03Speaker 6: longest losing streak of the year.
- 18:05Speaker 7: It was 5.
- 18:06Speaker 6: They win it to go to 55-53 and pulled it
- 18:10Speaker 6: within a game and a half of first place Chicago

- 19:49Speaker 2: Hey honey, I'm making stew tonight.
- 19:51Speaker 7: Ooh. Can Nina come over?
- 19:53Speaker 2: I'm not sure about our new friend. I wonder if
- 19:55Speaker 2: there's been any drinking going on. Alcohol at her age
- 19:58Speaker 2: can lead to so many bad things. I've been meaning
- 20:00Speaker 2: to ask you, what would happen if someone offered you
- 20:02Speaker 2: a drink?
- 20:03Speaker 17: Grandma? This is hard.
- 20:05Speaker 2: She's so young. But I know I need to talk
- 20:07Speaker 2: to her about it now before someone tries to give
- 20:09Speaker 2: her alcohol. If anyone ever does offer you a drink,
- 20:12Speaker 2: I want you to say, no, I have too much
- 20:14Speaker 2: respect for my family, and I don't want to get
- 20:16Speaker 2: in trouble.
- 20:17Speaker 10: Okay.
- 20:18Speaker 6: Really?
- 20:19Speaker 13: I promise, Grandma. I love you, too.
- 20:22Speaker 2: Okay, how about tasting this stew and telling me what
- 20:25Speaker 2: you think?
- 20:26Speaker 18: Mmm.
- 20:27Speaker 19: Some children may try alcohol as young as nine years old.

- 21:36Speaker 6: of this day-night doubleheader by a final score of 6-5.
- 21:40Speaker 6: We'll have our Honda Drive at Home game summary with
- 21:42Speaker 6: all the highlights in just a little bit, as well
- 21:45Speaker 6: as the postgame comments of manager Steven Vogt. Normally, we
- 21:49Speaker 6: would take a look at the out-of-town scores presented by
- 21:52Speaker 6: your Northeast Ohio Ford dealers, but this was the only
- 21:55Speaker 6: day game in baseball today, so no scores to report
- 21:59Speaker 6: on just yet. So we'll take a timeout and then
- 22:01Speaker 6: come back and take you through this one. Some dramatics
- 22:04Speaker 6: early and a come-from-behind victory today. for the guardians that's
- 22:08Speaker 6: all coming up after this time out on the cleveland
- 22:11Speaker 6: clinic radio network it was a normal day.
- 22:14Speaker 16: He was in some minor accident a fender bender and.
- 22:19Speaker 2: I had this impulse to call him but i didn't
- 22:23Speaker 2: because i thought i could call him later.
- 22:26Speaker 19: That week he abandoned the car he came home and
- 22:31Speaker 19: he shot himself without ever talking to anyone.
- 22:34Speaker 9: When I came home that night and I found her,

- 24:17Speaker 6: Welcome back to Cincinnati. Guardians wrap up following a 6-5
- 24:21Speaker 6: Guardians win in the opener of this day-night doubleheader. The
- 24:25Speaker 6: Guardians snapping a five-game losing skid in the process, and
- 24:29Speaker 6: they got it going early on our Honda Drive at
- 24:32Speaker 6: Home Game Summary. First inning against one of the best
- 24:35Speaker 6: starters in baseball, young Chase Burns. Jose Ramirez singled with
- 24:40Speaker 6: one out. Chase DeLauder reached on an error. Travis Bazzana
- 24:44Speaker 6: walked to load the bases, and then with two outs,
- 24:46Speaker 6: Kyle Manzardo stepped in. Burns, who again, they're going to
- 24:50Speaker 6: be very careful with him. His pitch count, his innings
- 24:54Speaker 6: this year. And he's going to make at least 29 pitches.
- 24:58Speaker 6: The next one.
- 24:59Speaker 7: Swung on and hammered!
- 25:01Speaker 13: To deep right!
- 25:02Speaker 7: Away! Back and gone!
- 25:07Speaker 6: A grand slam to right by Kyle Manzardo.
- 25:12Speaker 7: And the best..
- 25:14Speaker 6: Replay challenge that was ever overturned in the history of
- 25:18Speaker 6: the Cleveland Guardians. Instead of it being 1-0 Cleveland, 4-0
- 25:24Speaker 6: Cleveland on Kyle Manzardo's first Grand Slam of the year.
- 25:30Speaker 6: Cleveland's fourth Grand Slam as a team. Manzardo's team high
- 25:34Speaker 6: 12th homer giving him 36 RBIs. So a quick start
- 25:40Speaker 6: for the Guardians, but the Reds would battle back against
- 25:43Speaker 6: starting pitcher Slade Ciccone and the bullpen. A Sal Stewart
- 25:47Speaker 6: home run in the third inning put them on the board,
- 25:49Speaker 6: and then they took the lead with a four-run fourth,
- 25:52Speaker 6: an RBI double from Tyler Stevenson, an RBI single from
- 25:56Speaker 6: Edwin Arroyo, and a two-run single from Sal Stewart, and
- 26:00Speaker 6: that put the Reds over the top. They led it 5-4,
- 26:04Speaker 6: heading to the fifth inning. But in the fifth... The
- 26:07Speaker 6: Guardians would tie the game, and it was the Jose
- 26:11Speaker 6: Ramirez show. Here's the pitch to Jose Ramirez, and he
- 26:14Speaker 6: lines it down the right field side, and it's dropping
- 26:16Speaker 6: for a base hit. Cut off in the corner by Bledet,
- 26:20Speaker 6: and he'll hold Ramirez to a long single. Here's the
- 26:23Speaker 6: pitch to DeLauder. On the move is Ramirez, and he'll
- 26:26Speaker 6: steal the bag without a throw. Number 25 for Jose Ramirez.
- 26:32Speaker 6: Here's the 1-0. He's taking off for third. The throwdown
- 26:35Speaker 6: is not in time. Safe at third base is Ramirez.
- 26:42Speaker 6: He's single-handedly trying to energize this ball club. This ball
- 26:46Speaker 6: club has been flat at times since the All-Star break.
- 26:52Speaker 6: He knows right now this club needs something good to
- 26:55Speaker 6: happen after blowing a 4-0 lead. Who else but Jose
- 26:59Speaker 6: Ramirez says, all right, follow me. So the infield in
- 27:03Speaker 6: now for the Reds, and he's down there with less
- 27:06Speaker 6: than two down. Now we'll see if DeLauder can get
- 27:08Speaker 6: him in. This has really been a struggle point. Here's
- 27:11Speaker 6: the 2-1. Swung on, and it's driven to left. This
- 27:14Speaker 6: will do it. Getting back and making the catch is Friedel. Tagging,
- 27:18Speaker 6: heading for home is Ramirez. He scores, and we are
- 27:22Speaker 6: tied at five. How about that? That's part of what
- 27:27Speaker 6: the offense has been missing, that style of play from Ramirez.
- 27:32Speaker 6: And DeLauder with RBI number 51 got the job done
- 27:35Speaker 6: on the sack fly. So the game was tied at 5,
- 27:39Speaker 6: and it stayed that way until the 8th inning. That's
- 27:41Speaker 6: when the Guardians would put together what proved to be
- 27:44Speaker 6: the game-winning rally as Chase DeLauder singled with one out,
- 27:47Speaker 6: then Travis Bazanas singled, and that gave the Guardians an
- 27:51Speaker 6: opportunity with runners on the corners. And Brian Rocchio at
- 27:56Speaker 6: the plate. The 0-1 now to Rocchio. Infield partway in.
- 27:59Speaker 6: He bumps back towards the mound. Coming home with a
- 28:02Speaker 6: go-ahead run to Lauder. The throw goes to first to
- 28:05Speaker 6: get Rocchio. Bazana to second. And another perfectly executed safety
- 28:11Speaker 6: squeeze by Brian Rocchio between the mound and first. And
- 28:17Speaker 6: he bunted it in a perfect spot that enabled De
- 28:22Speaker 6: Lauder to score with ease. and give Brian Rocchio RBI
- 28:26Speaker 6: number 50, 6-5 Cleveland. But I've used that play a lot,
- 28:31Speaker 6: and it has worked a lot. And in today's game,
- 28:34Speaker 6: that proved to be the decisive run as the Guardians
- 28:38Speaker 6: win it by that 6-5 final. But there was a
- 28:41Speaker 6: great play to end it in the ninth inning with
- 28:43Speaker 6: a man aboard for the Reds.
- 28:44Speaker 7: J.J. Blede was at the plate facing Cade Smith.
- 28:48Speaker 6: The next pitch. Swung on, line to right field. Coming on,
- 28:52Speaker 6: diving Martinez.
- 28:54Speaker 7: He made the catch! Ball game!
- 28:58Speaker 6: A great diving catch in right field by Angel Martinez.
- 29:04Speaker 6: And Cleveland takes game one today on the banks of
- 29:08Speaker 6: the Ohio River, 6-5. And that's what the Guardians need.
- 29:14Speaker 6: Some key hits and also some good defense, and they
- 29:17Speaker 6: got that today, plus that dominant bullpen as Smith finished
- 29:21Speaker 6: thinged up for the Guardians. The winning pitcher in relief
- 29:24Speaker 6: was Colin Holderman, now 6-2 on the season. Cade Smith
- 29:28Speaker 6: with his Major League best save, number 30, and the
- 29:32Speaker 6: loss went to Sam Maul, who falls to 1-7 for
- 29:35Speaker 6: the Reds. The Guardians with six runs on nine hits
- 29:38Speaker 6: and no errors, five men left straightaway.
- 29:40Speaker 7: For the Reds.
- 29:41Speaker 6: Five runs, 11 hits, one error, and seven men left
- 29:45Speaker 6: on base. Time of today's first game, 2 hours and
- 29:47Speaker 6: 55 minutes. And the paid crowd was 16,866 here at
- 29:54Speaker 6: Great American Ballpark.

- 32:04Speaker 6: afternoon in the day portion of this day-night doubleheader. A
- 32:08Speaker 6: 6-5 final score. Let's head downstairs and hear from manager
- 32:11Speaker 6: Steven Vogt.
- 32:12Speaker 5: The Manzardo at bat.
- 32:13Speaker 20: You've been in big league at bats, and it's easy
- 32:16Speaker 20: if you get called for a walk or whatever else
- 32:18Speaker 20: to reset yourself.
- 32:19Speaker 5: Just what does that tell you about where he was at? Yeah,
- 32:21Speaker 5: that was awesome.
- 32:22Speaker 14: I mean, obviously we had Burns on the ropes there
- 32:24Speaker 14: in the first, and for Manzardo to come up with
- 32:25Speaker 14: two outs. He gets hit by the pitch. You could
- 32:27Speaker 14: hear the two. which, but then on replay, it didn't
- 32:29Speaker 14: look like it. So, but it's hard to regroup. You
- 32:31Speaker 14: get hit in the hand and then you got.
- 32:33Speaker 5: To get back in there and he got a hanger
- 32:34Speaker 5: and didn't miss it. So that was, that was huge.
- 32:36Speaker 5: We needed that in the worst kind of way.
- 32:39Speaker 20: You talked before the game about working a pitcher nowadays,
- 32:40Speaker 20: how different it is, but you guys did kind of
- 32:43Speaker 20: do that a little bit, did you not?
- 32:44Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 32:44Speaker 14: I thought, you know, Burns has really good stuff and
- 32:47Speaker 14: we made him work. We made him throw a lot
- 32:48Speaker 14: of pitches. I was really happy with the little chase
- 32:51Speaker 14: that we had down below the zone and And we
- 32:53Speaker 14: got some hits and we got some, you know, a
- 32:55Speaker 14: lot of traffic against them and got them out of
- 32:56Speaker 14: there through five.
- 32:57Speaker 5: So great job by the guys. What did you think
- 32:59Speaker 5: of Slade today?
- 33:00Speaker 14: You know, I thought Slade came out really good. I
- 33:02Speaker 14: thought the first few innings and then I thought in
- 33:04Speaker 14: the fourth kind of hit a little bit of a wall.
- 33:06Speaker 14: Just kind of the velo started to drop. The stuff
- 33:08Speaker 14: started to kind of take off. So great job by
- 33:10Speaker 14: Timmy coming in, getting the ground ball to get us
- 33:12Speaker 14: out of the inning. And we didn't complete the play. And,
- 33:15Speaker 14: you know, they came back. But the bullpen was outstanding today.
- 33:19Speaker 14: Slade battled for as long as he could, but the
- 33:21Speaker 14: bullpen was unbelievable once again.
- 33:22Speaker 8: It seems like Cade's been sitting 99 to 100 lately.
- 33:27Speaker 8: What have you seen from him in looking at dude
- 33:30Speaker 8: elevated stuff?
- 33:32Speaker 5: Cade's the hardest worker in the big leagues.
- 33:34Speaker 14: He keeps himself ready and he's had some rest this
- 33:36Speaker 14: last few weeks, which I don't know if that's a
- 33:38Speaker 14: good thing for us, but at the same time he's
- 33:41Speaker 14: had a couple periods of three days off, so we're
- 33:44Speaker 14: seeing him carry his velocity a little higher, but Again,
- 33:46Speaker 14: he works tremendously hard to be ready every day, and
- 33:49Speaker 14: he's been outstanding.
- 33:50Speaker 1: What do you like about squeeze punts? Is that just
- 33:55Speaker 1: one of the more appealing.
- 33:57Speaker 5: Things you can see when it works?
- 33:59Speaker 14: Yeah, I mean, obviously the safety squeeze is a great play.
- 34:02Speaker 14: It's hard to defend, and it's hard to hit the
- 34:05Speaker 14: ball forward in the big leagues right now. And so
- 34:07Speaker 14: you get an opportunity to get a one-run lead or
- 34:09Speaker 14: you get an opportunity to pat on, you want to
- 34:12Speaker 14: take it. When we have some very skilled punters and
- 34:14Speaker 14: when you have the right runner at third, It just
- 34:16Speaker 14: makes sense, and Rokey did a phenomenal job getting it down,
- 34:18Speaker 14: and Chase got a good jump.
- 34:19Speaker 5: Jose looked like.
- 34:20Speaker 1: He just wanted to will himself for a run in
- 34:22Speaker 1: that situation.
- 34:23Speaker 5: How cool is it to see somebody produce that run?
- 34:25Speaker 14: You know, we're spoiled because we get to watch him
- 34:27Speaker 14: do that, but he legitimately said, I'm going to get
- 34:30Speaker 14: a run for us, and great swing by Chase to
- 34:32Speaker 14: drive him in, but for Jose, single, stolen base, stolen base,
- 34:36Speaker 14: all of a sudden we have a runner on third,
- 34:37Speaker 14: less than two outs, and he's done that a number
- 34:38Speaker 14: of times over the course of his career, but You
- 34:41Speaker 14: can just tell when he gets into, I'm going to
- 34:43Speaker 14: produce a run mode.
- 34:44Speaker 5: And you can't really stop him.
- 34:45Speaker 20: On the scorecard, most people are going to see a
- 34:47Speaker 20: couple of number twos written down for Patrick Bailey.
- 34:50Speaker 5: Can you explain to people how hard it's been on
- 34:53Speaker 5: a day game to catch those two balls he had
- 34:55Speaker 5: to catch?
- 34:55Speaker 14: It's a really hard play. I'm a little biased, obviously,
- 34:57Speaker 14: but there's a lot of spin. You don't see the
- 34:59Speaker 14: ball off the bat, so you have to pick it up.
- 35:01Speaker 14: You've got sun, you've got glare, you've got equipment, you've
- 35:03Speaker 14: got people in your way, and those are spinning a
- 35:06Speaker 14: lot when they're coming back down, so Great job.
- 35:10Speaker 5: You know, a lot of guys make it look easy.
- 35:11Speaker 5: It is not. And Patty made two really good plays there.
- 35:14Speaker 7: What's your view of Angel's catch to end the game?
- 35:17Speaker 14: I didn't see the ball off the bat because we
- 35:19Speaker 14: lost it in the rail or the dugout. But then
- 35:20Speaker 14: you see Angel running in and I saw him, you know,
- 35:23Speaker 14: get the.
- 35:23Speaker 5: Glove underneath it.
- 35:24Speaker 14: Unbelievable play to end a game that we desperately needed
- 35:27Speaker 14: a win today.
- 35:28Speaker 5: And good to get the first one.
- 35:32Speaker 6: With the win, the Guardians snap a five-game losing skid.
- 35:35Speaker 6: They are now 55-53 on the season, and as they
- 35:38Speaker 6: head into play tonight, they'll be a game and a
- 35:40Speaker 6: half back of the front-running White Sox in the American
- 35:43Speaker 6: League's Central Division. The Reds remain at the bottom of
- 35:46Speaker 6: the NL Central at 49-56. The back end of this
- 35:51Speaker 6: day-night doubleheader, first pitch time 7-10. We'll have it for
- 35:55Speaker 6: you starting with the warm-up show at 6-35.
- 35:57Speaker 7: Until then..
- 36:00Speaker 6: For Dave Abbott, our on-site engineer here at Great American Ballpark,
- 36:04Speaker 6: and Brian Motze back home in downtown Cleveland, and, of course,
- 36:07Speaker 6: Tom Hamilton, this is Jim Rosenhouse reminding you the final
- 36:11Speaker 6: score today, the Cleveland Guardians 6, the Cincinnati Reds 5.
- 36:16Speaker 6: Have a great afternoon, everyone.
- 36:19Speaker 7: This is the Sean Hannity Show.
- 36:22Speaker 18: If you want to stop Putin and you want to
- 36:24Speaker 18: stop the territorial ambitions of Vladimir Putin right now, the
- 36:29Speaker 18: best thing you can do is supply the Ukrainians with
- 36:33Speaker 18: the weaponry that they're asking for, begging for, pleading for. Joe,
- 36:39Speaker 18: next time Poland wants to give them MiGs, shut up
- 36:42Speaker 18: and get out of the way and let Poland give
- 36:45Speaker 18: them the MiGs.
- 36:46Speaker 5: Hannity weeknights at 7 p.m.
- 36:50Speaker 7: When I smoke weed, I get lost in the music.
- 36:53Speaker 7: I like to isolate each instrument.
- 36:56Speaker 5: The rhythmic bass, the harmonies on the piano, the sticky melody.
- 37:05Speaker 1: Careful, babe.
- 37:06Speaker 18: There's someone crossing the street.
- 37:08Speaker 5: Sorry, I didn't see him there. If you feel different,
- 37:11Speaker 5: you drive different. Don't drive high.
- 37:14Speaker 17: It's dangerous and illegal everywhere.
- 37:16Speaker 5: A message from NHTSA and the Ad Council.
- 37:19Speaker 7: Hi, this is
