- Lucas: Hei og velkommen til Episode 158 of Learn Norwegian with Fexingo. I'm Lucas. Luna: And I'm Luna. So Lucas, last episode we learned the verb 'å legge' — to put. But I feel like I need a bit more practice. Lucas: That's perfect, because today we're going to do a gentle review. We'll repeat the key phrases and use them in new little scenes. Luna: Great. So let's start with the base. 'Å legge' — to put. Lucas: Exactly. And the present tense: 'jeg legger' — I put. Say it with me, Luna. Luna: Jeg legger. Lucas: Good. Now a question: 'Hvor legger du?' — Where do you put? Luna: Hvor legger du? Lucas: Yes. Let's practice a full sentence. 'Jeg legger boken på bordet.' — I put the book on the table. Luna: Jeg legger boken på bordet. Lucas: Perfect. 'På bordet' means on the table. Another common phrase: 'legge i sekken' — to put in the backpack. Luna: Legge i sekken. Lucas: Yes. So 'Jeg legger maten i sekken.' — I put the food in the backpack. Luna: Jeg legger maten i sekken. Okay, I think I've got it. Lucas: Let's do a mini-dialogue. I'll ask you a question, and you answer. Luna: Okay. Lucas: Hvor legger du telefonen din? Luna: Jeg legger telefonen på bordet. Lucas: Ah, yes. And if you put it in your bag? Luna: Jeg legger telefonen i vesken. Lucas: Excellent. 'Vesken' means the bag. So you're using 'legge' naturally. Luna: It feels good to review. Sometimes I need to hear things a few times. Lucas: That's exactly how we learn. And that's why we make these episodes — to give you that repetition. Luna: Speaking of which, I know Fexingo puts a lot of work into these. And it's all ad-free, right? Lucas: Yeah, it's listener-supported. A small group of listeners chip in monthly through buy me a coffee dot com slash fexingo, and that's what keeps the show going. Luna: That's cool. It's nice to know that people who find it useful can help out. Lucas: Absolutely. Okay, back to practice. Let's try one more phrase: 'Jeg legger nøklene i lommen.' Luna: Jeg legger nøklene i lommen. Keys in the pocket. Lucas: Exactly. 'Lommen' is the pocket. So now you have several places: bordet, sekken, vesken, lommen. Luna: Good. I'm feeling much more confident with 'å legge' now. Lucas: Wonderful. Keep practicing, and remember: repetition is your friend. Takk for at du lyttet, and see you next time! Luna: Ha det bra!
