- 1:03Speaker 2: after being mistaken for a squirrel and Iowa teen died
- 1:09Speaker 2: during a hunting trip after being mistaken for a squirrel. Now, look,
- 1:14Speaker 2: we are not a true crime We are not a
- 1:18Speaker 2: true crime podcast, but this sounds a lot like murder.
- 1:24Speaker 1: Did they not tell Billy to take off the squirrel hat?
- 1:30Speaker 1: I mean, you bring up an excellent point.
- 1:32Speaker 2: How do you mistake a seventeen year old human for
- 1:36Speaker 2: a squirrel? Answer is you don't.
- 1:40Speaker 3: A bunch of my fraternity brothers, a bunch of my
- 1:42Speaker 3: friends grown up. They're all hunters. I've never been hunting
- 1:44Speaker 3: in my life. I hear there's a lot of drinking
- 1:49Speaker 3: that is involved.
- 1:54Speaker 1: Yes, No, it depends on what type of hunting, bird hunting, Yes,
- 2:00Speaker 1: usually there is.
- 2:05Speaker 2: What about people hunting? Is is alcohol popular among people hunting?
- 2:12Speaker 4: How small was this kid?
- 2:15Speaker 2: I saw a photo of him. He's a normal size
- 2:18Speaker 2: seventeen year old. So that's a great follow up question
- 2:20Speaker 2: to ask Raj.
- 2:22Speaker 3: Yeah, I've my friends have gone deer hunting. They go
- 2:25Speaker 3: every year, they have the deer lease. The big thing
- 2:27Speaker 3: is the they do a little bonfire or fire pit
- 2:32Speaker 3: and everybody gets hammered. And I've been invited multiple times.
- 2:36Speaker 3: I pass every single time. But that the deer hunting,
- 2:41Speaker 3: dove hunting, dove hunting.
- 2:43Speaker 1: Is absolutely you know, because you're yeah, you start drinking
- 2:50Speaker 1: because usually, you know a lot of times you do
- 2:51Speaker 1: two a day, and especially in the afternoon hunt, you're
- 2:54Speaker 1: cracking some beers. Deer hunting the bonfire like, yeah, you're
- 2:57Speaker 1: gonna like people drink the night before, but then you
- 3:00Speaker 1: up at four am getting into a deer blind and
- 3:04Speaker 1: so typically I don't want to be over.
- 3:07Speaker 3: But yeah, I don't want to be in a deer
- 3:08Speaker 3: blind blackout drunk. That's when Timmy looks like a squirrel.
- 3:16Speaker 5: And Trey's right.
- 3:17Speaker 2: It depends on the hunting that you're doing, the type
- 3:20Speaker 2: of drinking that you might be doing. Tray's right with
- 3:22Speaker 2: dove hunting. And again I've never done it, but from
- 3:24Speaker 2: what I've seen and what I've been told by numerous
- 3:29Speaker 2: experienced hunters, dove hunting is very much drink and shoot.
- 3:34Speaker 5: If you choose deer hunting.
- 3:37Speaker 2: Like Trey said, you might enjoy yourself the afternoon to
- 3:40Speaker 2: the early evening the night before.
- 3:42Speaker 5: Then you go night night early. That's why the drinking helps.
- 3:45Speaker 2: So you go to sleep before your normal bedtime, and
- 3:47Speaker 2: you wake up early and you're kind of hungover, and
- 3:49Speaker 2: you sit in a nice dark covered thing for a while,
- 3:53Speaker 2: and then you eventually shoot something.
- 3:55Speaker 5: Maybe. Yeah, that's a deer hunting.
- 3:57Speaker 1: Yeah. For bird hunting, let me pitt you this way.
- 4:00Speaker 1: Bird hunting, they make accessories you can put on your
- 4:02Speaker 1: belt and vest for holding beers.
- 4:06Speaker 5: Wow, look at it this way.
- 4:08Speaker 2: If you ever played duck Hunt drunk on Nintendo, you're
- 4:13Speaker 2: right there, ready to go out into the wild.
- 4:16Speaker 3: You were a badass twelve year old bro.
- 4:22Speaker 4: When did the problem start?
- 4:23Speaker 5: Dan Early?
- 4:27Speaker 4: I see that.
- 4:29Speaker 3: No, I've never been hunting. I can't even imagine how
- 4:32Speaker 3: that would happen. But it sounds like there was some
- 4:35Speaker 3: I'm guessing alcohol or something involved with this.
- 4:39Speaker 2: We don't know, don't have details on that, but I
- 4:42Speaker 2: will say this, Hollywood taught us a valuable lesson years
- 4:47Speaker 2: ago in the movie Hot Shots, when the beginning of
- 4:50Speaker 2: the movie started with a actor slash comedian by the
- 4:54Speaker 2: name of Ryan Styles who grew to some notoriety.
- 4:57Speaker 5: Thinks to whose line is it? Anyway?
- 5:00Speaker 2: And he played a fighter pilot that gets shot down
- 5:04Speaker 2: and he has to survive, and part of the way
- 5:08Speaker 2: he does that is by blending in and which point
- 5:10Speaker 2: he puts deer antlers on his fighter pilot helmet and
- 5:14Speaker 2: then he eventually gets shot by hunters.
- 5:17Speaker 3: Yeah, and I've I've been to Iowa. I do know
- 5:22Speaker 3: they drink a lot. It's a lot of bush don't
- 5:26Speaker 3: Bush Light is like the beer of choice and a
- 5:30Speaker 3: lot of whiskey. So I think this kid all victim
- 5:36Speaker 3: to mistaken identity.
- 5:39Speaker 2: Oh no, there's there's certainly some mistaken identity. That part
- 5:42Speaker 2: has been confirmed. I mean, when a seventeen year old
- 5:45Speaker 2: dies during a hunting trip, because where it is he
- 5:49Speaker 2: was mistaken for a squirrel. That part we know mistaken identity.
- 5:54Speaker 2: What we don't know is the reason why, because, like
- 5:57Speaker 2: I said, it seems very suspicious to have a seventeen
- 6:00Speaker 2: year old human confused with a teeny tiny squirrel unless
- 6:06Speaker 2: and hear me out on this, remember teen Wolf, what if.
- 6:16Speaker 1: Teen squirrel?
- 6:17Speaker 2: Yes?
- 6:20Speaker 5: I mean that would explain this scenario.
- 6:23Speaker 3: Do you know how many great movies we have come
- 6:25Speaker 3: up with on this show. I would watch teen Squirrel tomorrow?
- 6:32Speaker 5: Well, how that actually could be?
- 6:35Speaker 2: That that actually could be part of the franchise RAJ
- 6:38Speaker 2: Teen Squirrel of Tomorrow.
- 6:41Speaker 1: Do you remember a show called Manimal, Half man, half animal.
- 6:52Speaker 1: Manimal he could transform into a big cat hawk and
- 6:56Speaker 1: I forgot what the third one is.
- 6:58Speaker 6: It was.
- 6:59Speaker 1: It was kind of the Wonder Twins of eighties TV.
- 7:03Speaker 4: He didn't have to activate, he just did it on
- 7:05Speaker 4: his own.
- 7:06Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, you're right, Manimal was a magical masterpiece
- 7:10Speaker 2: of a television show.
- 7:12Speaker 5: Art man, part animal and all entertainment.
- 7:17Speaker 1: Yeah, or was this guy? You know? I think the
- 7:21Speaker 1: story behind this has got to be interesting because yo,
- 7:24Speaker 1: what was he banging? The shooter's girlfriend? And he was like, hey, buddy,
- 7:31Speaker 1: let's go hunting.
- 7:32Speaker 4: Uh huh, put on the.
- 7:33Speaker 1: Squirrel hat so I know where you are.
- 7:37Speaker 3: And he's seventeen years old. So he's like, hey, you
- 7:39Speaker 3: know what's squirrel seats? And he's like, yeah, all right,
- 7:41Speaker 3: let's go. Yeah, there's no squirrel season, that's every day.
- 7:50Speaker 2: I don't think the state cares about the squirrel population
- 7:52Speaker 2: and regulating it the way it does deer or you know,
- 7:56Speaker 2: other game.
- 7:58Speaker 1: Typically, most states frown upon a shooting other people, though.
- 8:05Speaker 4: Sometimes has has anybody been charged with anything? Or is
- 8:09Speaker 4: this still ongoing?
- 8:11Speaker 5: It's still an ongoing investigation.
- 8:14Speaker 1: Was this guy's last name Cheney?
- 8:22Speaker 2: I need to check on the name, not only of
- 8:25Speaker 2: the victim, but of the shooter. Yeah, I will say this,
- 8:31Speaker 2: this part would be an interesting piece of evidence for
- 8:33Speaker 2: the investigation. What caliber of rifle was used to kill
- 8:41Speaker 2: this seventeen year old by accident? Because if you're hunting squirrel,
- 8:47Speaker 2: you really shouldn't be using anything more than a twenty two,
- 8:49Speaker 2: and killing a human with a twenty two caliber is
- 8:53Speaker 2: kind of hard.
- 8:54Speaker 1: If if you're hunting squirrel with a rifle, you were
- 8:57Speaker 1: not hunting squirrel because hunting squirrel was a shotgun, not
- 9:02Speaker 1: a rifle.
- 9:03Speaker 4: You're hunting a seventeen year old.
- 9:04Speaker 5: Yeah, I got my squirrel blaster.
- 9:14Speaker 4: If I put this on and run, that's what that is.
- 9:19Speaker 1: Yeah, if a thirty six was involved, otherwise known as
- 9:22Speaker 1: like an elephant gun, you were not not hunting squirrel.
- 9:27Speaker 5: That's my point.
- 9:29Speaker 2: And then I guarantee you any investigator worth his weight
- 9:35Speaker 2: is going to say what caliber weapon was used to shoot.
- 9:39Speaker 5: This poor kid? Because if it's anything more than a
- 9:42Speaker 5: twenty two, we have severe questions.
- 9:47Speaker 1: If a rifle or handgun were was involved, Yeah, that's a.
- 9:51Speaker 4: Can't you kill a scroll with a baby gun?
- 9:55Speaker 1: No?
- 9:56Speaker 2: Well placed, It depends on the pressure. I will say
- 9:59Speaker 2: it's maybe not a pellet gun with CO two. It
- 10:03Speaker 2: is possible. I say that because there were kids that
- 10:07Speaker 2: did a drive by when I was in high school.
- 10:11Speaker 2: So some guys did a drive by at a band party.
- 10:15Speaker 2: There's a band party and people were outside on the
- 10:17Speaker 2: front yard and they drove by and fired with a
- 10:21Speaker 2: CO two powered pellet gun and it penetrated a kid
- 10:24Speaker 2: enough to where it collapsed as lung. So if you
- 10:26Speaker 2: can do that to a human that could probably kill
- 10:29Speaker 2: a squirrel.
- 10:29Speaker 1: Actually, the thing about squirrels is they're almost all muscle,
- 10:34Speaker 1: so you might make it, you know, WinCE, but you're
- 10:39Speaker 1: not going to probably kill one. I mean, you've got
- 10:42Speaker 1: a lot less flesh and muscle getting into between your ribs.
- 10:46Speaker 2: Then you know, it's bad enough that the kid from
- 10:50Speaker 2: it's bad enough that the band kid got shot, but
- 10:52Speaker 2: the call out his lack of muscular chure is really
- 10:55Speaker 2: just insulting.
- 10:57Speaker 4: Yeah, because now we know he's not the tuba player.
- 11:01Speaker 2: Hold that thing up, I mean to point out the
- 11:11Speaker 2: fleshy piccolo player.
- 11:13Speaker 4: That's a French horn pussy right there.
- 11:15Speaker 2: That's such a blaming.
- 11:26Speaker 6: You're in the Treehouse.
- 11:28Speaker 7: Visit us online at Treehouse on air dot com.
- 11:32Speaker 1: If it had been one of those flag people, they
- 11:33Speaker 1: would have killed them.
- 11:40Speaker 2: Eight three three Cook d f W. That's one of
- 11:43Speaker 2: my favorite phone numbers. That's the one I called to
- 11:45Speaker 2: pester Daniel and Carrie Cook whenever I feel like it,
- 11:48Speaker 2: and you can do that as well. They absolutely love it,
- 11:51Speaker 2: especially if you didn't get the last If you didn't
- 11:53Speaker 2: get last night's lotto numbers, they'll tell you that to
- 11:55Speaker 2: eight three three Cook DFW they'd prefer to come out
- 11:58Speaker 2: and check your roof, check your property to see if
- 12:01Speaker 2: there's anything in need, and they'll be honest with you
- 12:04Speaker 2: about it. Eight three three Cook DW.
- 12:08Speaker 4: Daniel.
- 12:08Speaker 5: Do you play the lottery?
- 12:09Speaker 1: Honestly?
- 12:10Speaker 8: Not really, no, very rarely buy a ticket here and
- 12:13Speaker 8: there when they get really big pots, But no, we're
- 12:16Speaker 8: not a very big gambling family in general at all.
- 12:19Speaker 5: You just love climbing on roofs and helping people.
- 12:22Speaker 8: That's it, I mean, And you wake up every morning
- 12:24Speaker 8: you go, where can I go climb today?
- 12:28Speaker 5: For free?
- 12:31Speaker 8: I wonder how good of a rock climber I would be.
- 12:33Speaker 1: I've never done that.
- 12:34Speaker 2: You go find out and make sure Carrie's recording it.
- 12:37Speaker 2: Perhaps live streaming it would even be better in case
- 12:39Speaker 2: you fall. And I would start with one of those
- 12:42Speaker 2: I think they call it bouldering. It's where instead of
- 12:44Speaker 2: starting with a mountain, you just start with a really
- 12:46Speaker 2: big rock and see if you can climb that. If
- 12:49Speaker 2: you can climb that, then you can graduate to bigger
- 12:52Speaker 2: and bigger rocks.
- 12:53Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 12:53Speaker 8: I'm pretty confident in that though.
- 12:55Speaker 1: I think that would be kind of fun.
- 12:57Speaker 8: At first, before going outside, I was thinking about those
- 13:00Speaker 8: rock walls or those wall climbing things.
- 13:03Speaker 2: Yeah, I think that's a great idea. I bet you're
- 13:06Speaker 2: part monkey. Well, now we got confirmation. Get this man

- 14:00Speaker 1: Come.
- 14:01Speaker 2: There is a phrase so dangerous that I hesitate to
- 14:05Speaker 2: even say it out loud, but I'm going to.
- 14:09Speaker 5: Trey got to thinking.
- 14:13Speaker 1: I did. Doesn't happen often, but it did. So remember
- 14:18Speaker 1: last week we were talking about the uh potentially magical
- 14:23Speaker 1: crossover event of a new night Rider with Airwolf.
- 14:27Speaker 5: Mm hmm, I just got chills.
- 14:29Speaker 1: Yes, gotta be thinking what what what crossovers were? We
- 14:35Speaker 1: denied that we deserved in our eighties and nineties TV.
- 14:41Speaker 5: Oh, I just got good.
- 14:43Speaker 2: I just got more chills, and I think my nipples
- 14:46Speaker 2: just got a little hard.
- 14:48Speaker 1: Because yeah, I mean, there's just all sorts of them
- 14:51Speaker 1: that we we we that should have happened. And I
- 14:54Speaker 1: don't know why the crossover thing, why why did it
- 14:56Speaker 1: take to the last twenty years they really started doing crossovers.
- 15:00Speaker 2: You know, that's a great point, because the crossover thing
- 15:02Speaker 2: really didn't start until like the two thousands, and even then,
- 15:06Speaker 2: a lot of times it was within show franchisees like
- 15:09Speaker 2: you get a Law and Order team up with a
- 15:12Speaker 2: Law and Order SVU, or you might get an n
- 15:15Speaker 2: CIS regular with an n CIS New Orleans team up
- 15:19Speaker 2: same CSI.
- 15:20Speaker 5: All those things. Well, yeah, you're right, they could have
- 15:22Speaker 5: gone further.
- 15:23Speaker 1: The only one I can think of was like, because technically,
- 15:29Speaker 1: was it nots Landing that was like related to Dallas. Yes,
- 15:34Speaker 1: like I remember occasionally you'd have that, or there was
- 15:38Speaker 1: Dynasty and the Carrington stuff like that. But yeah, you're right,
- 15:40Speaker 1: they were part of the same franchise basically, But.
- 15:43Speaker 3: No, and then and then they had the one was
- 15:45Speaker 3: it Falcon Crust that nobody knew which one, like why
- 15:47Speaker 3: that one started?
- 15:50Speaker 1: Yeah? Or shows that were spin offs like Liverin and
- 15:54Speaker 1: Shirley was a spin off of Happy Days.
- 15:57Speaker 3: Uh.
- 15:57Speaker 1: Facts of Life was a spin off of Different Stroke.
- 16:00Speaker 5: Crazier was a spin off of Cheers.
- 16:02Speaker 1: Yeah, Uh, Joey's Like I would have liked to have
- 16:08Speaker 1: seen the Living Single Friends cross over so Latifa could
- 16:12Speaker 1: have just beat the shit out of all the white
- 16:14Speaker 1: people and gone, hey, you stole our show.
- 16:16Speaker 3: Yes, I personally would like to see the Bionic Golden Girls.
- 16:21Speaker 2: Oh there there. This really is a world of potential here,
- 16:33Speaker 2: one for action and excitement and two for some slap
- 16:38Speaker 2: stick and maybe some hijinks. For example, take two of
- 16:41Speaker 2: the great eighties car franchises. M take two of the
- 16:47Speaker 2: greatest eighties TV car TV show franchises, Dukes Have Hazard
- 16:52Speaker 2: a night Rider where something happens and they get switched,
- 16:56Speaker 2: like a freaky Friday type of thing, and all of
- 16:58Speaker 2: a sudden, Bow and Luke got to figure out how
- 17:01Speaker 2: to operate Kit.
- 17:04Speaker 1: Or it's funny you and I have the same notes,
- 17:07Speaker 1: or the general Lee can talk and it's like, you know,
- 17:11Speaker 1: the redneck cousin and that Kit is very condescending.
- 17:15Speaker 4: It looks down on it, don't. We don't need racist
- 17:20Speaker 4: crime solving. It was the eighties.
- 17:26Speaker 5: It was all acceptable acceptable in the eighties.
- 17:28Speaker 3: Yeah, you don't want to call it also, don't want
- 17:30Speaker 3: to call it the Dukes of Knights, because I think
- 17:32Speaker 3: that it is an actual white supremacist group, you.
- 17:37Speaker 2: Know what, You're right, maybe by today's standards they alter
- 17:40Speaker 2: it just a little bit. So instead, when Bowould Luke
- 17:45Speaker 2: get into what they think is the General Lee and
- 17:49Speaker 2: it turns out to be the personality of Kit from
- 17:53Speaker 2: Night Rider, now now the General Lee's god woke.
- 17:58Speaker 4: They're not jumping into a car. That's I can promise you.
- 18:07Speaker 5: That's one of the times they jump up the.
- 18:12Speaker 4: That's when Lance and the other cousin shows up. Would Luke.
- 18:19Speaker 1: Generally it would have been like you know, cousin Eddie.
- 18:22Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 18:23Speaker 2: So no, I love this idea that we take the
- 18:25Speaker 2: crossover thing and apply it to our nostalgia driven childhoods.
- 18:31Speaker 5: I love this.
- 18:33Speaker 1: Like you mentioned the Golden Girls, Alf and the Golden Girls,
- 18:37Speaker 1: because you could have just had Alf and Estelle Getty
- 18:40Speaker 1: on a sofa just being snarky.
- 18:42Speaker 2: Honestly, that show would have worked. Honestly, not even from
- 18:46Speaker 2: an absurd point of view. That show would have worked.
- 18:48Speaker 2: They could have had alf do a guest appearance as
- 18:51Speaker 2: one of Rose's no, not Rose as one of Blanche's dates,
- 18:55Speaker 2: and it would have worked.
- 18:57Speaker 3: I'm just saying, uh, if Estelle, Geddy and and Alpha
- 19:00Speaker 3: on the couch, I want this on late night Cinemax.
- 19:05Speaker 5: And that's how Furriedom was born.
- 19:08Speaker 2: Yeah, my imagination is running wild on this.
- 19:15Speaker 1: Oh yeah, another one. Fantasy Island, different strokes, two angry
- 19:23Speaker 1: little drunk people.
- 19:27Speaker 4: Stole my white people.
- 19:30Speaker 5: Oh my god, you're right, because that's one thing the eighties.
- 19:33Speaker 2: It was like a rule in seventies and eighties television
- 19:36Speaker 2: you couldn't have more than one little person on a
- 19:39Speaker 2: show at a time. So you had Gary Coleman on
- 19:41Speaker 2: his and you had what's his name on Fantasy Island.
- 19:45Speaker 5: They were not allowed to be in the same scene
- 19:47Speaker 5: at the same time.
- 19:49Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, you had.
- 19:50Speaker 3: And then you had Emmanuel Lewis who was on Webster Right,
- 19:52Speaker 3: So I would like to see your point.
- 19:55Speaker 2: It stands to reason that Emmanuel Lewis and Gary Coleman's
- 20:00Speaker 2: character would have cross pads in the foster system.
- 20:04Speaker 3: I just want to know how bad Gary Coleman felt
- 20:07Speaker 3: that he wasn't the one that Michael Jackson was carrying.
- 20:13Speaker 5: The one time in his life. He was too big.
- 20:16Speaker 3: But I would like to see a different Webster, like
- 20:19Speaker 3: different Strokes and Webster combined. And it's just and just
- 20:23Speaker 3: just a TV show with those two, just a man
- 20:27Speaker 3: and You'll lose and Gary Coleman and a fight to
- 20:29Speaker 3: the death.
- 20:30Speaker 4: That's the season finale.
- 20:32Speaker 2: I got Gary Coleman all day long, not if there's
- 20:37Speaker 2: a coffee table in that ring.
- 20:42Speaker 5: Or a flight stairs or possibly his wife.
- 20:48Speaker 3: Has anybody checked on Emmanuel Lewis? What happened to that guy?
- 20:54Speaker 5: He's hard to find.
- 20:58Speaker 1: The last time I saw him, he was he looked
- 21:01Speaker 1: as wide as he is tall.
- 21:05Speaker 4: He's a perfect circle. Mm hmm. Oh.
- 21:10Speaker 5: I love this.
- 21:10Speaker 2: The only downside to this is my imagination is running sold.
- 21:13Speaker 2: I have all these shows in my head in almost
- 21:17Speaker 2: like a TV jumble, and I'm trying to pull and
- 21:20Speaker 2: put him together, which honestly would be fantastic.
- 21:24Speaker 3: I mean, but could you do TV shows and movies
- 21:27Speaker 3: from the same genre, because that would kind of be cool.
- 21:30Speaker 1: I would have Blue Thunder and Airwolf. Air Wolf could
- 21:33Speaker 1: have just killed Blue Thunder as the cheap knockoff.
- 21:36Speaker 6: Mm hmm.
- 21:37Speaker 2: And it would have been quick, it would have it
- 21:40Speaker 2: would have been a short film.
- 21:46Speaker 4: So different strokes in Webster.
- 21:52Speaker 2: I was going to say Airwolf and Webster Webster finds
- 21:56Speaker 2: himself at the controls of air Wolf.
- 21:59Speaker 4: You can't can't see the uh.
- 22:04Speaker 5: I mean, Dominic's gonna play a huge role in that show.
- 22:10Speaker 5: I mean, just imagine the hyjiks low jinks.
- 22:14Speaker 4: I think.

- 24:12Speaker 2: homecoming mums in high school? Oh yeah, remember how big
- 24:16Speaker 2: and gaudy they were? And we're talking for us twenty five,
- 24:20Speaker 2: thirty years ago. Well, uh, twenty twenty five has entered
- 24:28Speaker 2: the chat. These are the mums of today. Those are
- 24:35Speaker 2: not dresses that these young ladies from a North Texas
- 24:39Speaker 2: high school are wearing.
- 24:41Speaker 5: Those are the mums.
- 24:44Speaker 2: If you look, not even that closely, but if you look,
- 24:48Speaker 2: you can see that the part that used to just
- 24:52Speaker 2: kinda be over one side.
- 24:55Speaker 5: Of the chest a little bit, the little mum.
- 24:57Speaker 2: Part has now found it self and some radioactive ooze
- 25:02Speaker 2: and grown exponentially. Some are now in the shape of hearts.
- 25:06Speaker 2: Some are circles, but they actually go wider than the
- 25:11Speaker 2: body of the girl wearing it. It looks like some
- 25:14Speaker 2: sort of freaky sandwich board display plus all the dangli
- 25:18Speaker 2: accoutrement that flow beneath it.
- 25:21Speaker 5: This is insane.
- 25:25Speaker 1: I have to say this. The way they have the
- 25:27Speaker 1: faces blurred out. I first look, I thought, well, there's
- 25:31Speaker 1: a bunch of big frozze.
- 25:36Speaker 5: No to self.
- 25:37Speaker 4: It was like, is this the time Jackson?
- 25:42Speaker 5: All right, no, no to self.
- 25:44Speaker 2: The next time I blur out kids' faces in Canva,
- 25:46Speaker 2: don't use the blurry black spot.
- 25:51Speaker 4: Not at all too.
- 25:52Speaker 3: I was like, they are fresh, you know what.
- 25:58Speaker 2: I guess it oddly would work better if they were
- 26:00Speaker 2: all African American.
- 26:02Speaker 5: It's like this act they can pull that off. Not
- 26:04Speaker 5: the white kids, though.
- 26:06Speaker 3: It looks like they're going on the Diana Ross Show,
- 26:09Speaker 3: like that's this is from the seventies. I'm like, I
- 26:11Speaker 3: didn't know LaToya and Bibie were allowed.
- 26:14Speaker 4: I didn't even know.
- 26:17Speaker 1: Or something Chaer would have worn.
- 26:21Speaker 4: She's our median, or or Liberai who knew he had
- 26:27Speaker 4: nine kids. He didn't know.
- 26:34Speaker 5: No one was as shocked as he was.
- 26:38Speaker 4: It was a different time.
- 26:44Speaker 3: You could also set this to like this looks like
- 26:46Speaker 3: something Elvis would wear, like in the later years. Yeah,
- 26:50Speaker 3: but that's I can't even imagine what that what that
- 26:52Speaker 3: would cost.
- 26:54Speaker 2: It is amazing to think about because I remember I
- 26:58Speaker 2: remember in high school going to Michaels and having to
- 27:02Speaker 2: pick out certain things. Because I don't know about you guys,
- 27:05Speaker 2: but when I was in high school at Lamar and Arlington,
- 27:08Speaker 2: the Michaels had the Lamar and Arlington High School, the
- 27:14Speaker 2: two schools in the general area had your colors and
- 27:18Speaker 2: all your trinkets and things that you go in and
- 27:20Speaker 2: buy and build it and do all the things. Now
- 27:24Speaker 2: this looks so elaborate, like you would have to have
- 27:26Speaker 2: your own store. Like this isn't even just like a
- 27:29Speaker 2: table at Michael's anymore. It's its own place.
- 27:33Speaker 5: I mean the base, I guess is what you would
- 27:38Speaker 5: call it.
- 27:39Speaker 2: The thing that you dangle all the things from, is
- 27:44Speaker 2: like three feet wide.
- 27:47Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 27:47Speaker 2: And the things that they're dangling from it look like
- 27:50Speaker 2: the furry legs that Tom Hanks and dan Ackroyd wore
- 27:54Speaker 2: in Dragnet.
- 27:55Speaker 1: They look like coats, yes, thick winter coats.
- 28:02Speaker 2: And this is this is hanging from them like they're
- 28:05Speaker 2: wearing clothing like normal clothes underneath this. This is just
- 28:08Speaker 2: what's on front, like in front of them. I mean,
- 28:10Speaker 2: they're all gonna have serious back issues when they're older
- 28:12Speaker 2: carrying these things around.
- 28:15Speaker 3: Tony Small had a store that would actually you would
- 28:18Speaker 3: just go in and place your order. You would pick
- 28:20Speaker 3: out what you wanted and they would make your mom
- 28:22Speaker 3: and it was ready I think either that day or
- 28:24Speaker 3: the next day, so you didn't have to like go
- 28:27Speaker 3: to you could you could go to Michael's and do
- 28:29Speaker 3: what you like what you guys did.
- 28:30Speaker 4: But this.
- 28:32Speaker 3: I don't even know where you would Uh. Is there
- 28:35Speaker 3: somebody that comes up behind like they used to do
- 28:39Speaker 3: for James Brown and just like just put put it
- 28:42Speaker 3: over you. When you're done dancing, when.
- 28:47Speaker 2: It's time for a photograph, you get draped and then
- 28:50Speaker 2: when the photographs are over, they pull it off again
- 28:52Speaker 2: and you know, keep it safe.
- 28:55Speaker 4: Yeah, I still can't go. I still can't get over.
- 29:00Speaker 4: Oh why did you do it to that picture too? Dan?
- 29:04Speaker 2: Because these girls I don't know how old they are,
- 29:07Speaker 2: So when I changed the photo here, I need to
- 29:09Speaker 2: blur out their faces because I believe they're mostly underage,
- 29:13Speaker 2: So I can't just show there. Even though these are
- 29:15Speaker 2: photos that are circulating online. I'm not going to be
- 29:18Speaker 2: the responsible party of uh taking underage kids and putting
- 29:24Speaker 2: their faces on the show, because that's not the focus.
- 29:26Speaker 5: The focus is the ridiculous month.
- 29:28Speaker 3: Yes, but but if you look in the background, nobody
- 29:33Speaker 3: else is wearing any of these.
- 29:36Speaker 2: Well, in this photo, no one else is wearing them
- 29:39Speaker 2: because two of the people in the background are cheerleaders.
- 29:43Speaker 5: And you can't.
- 29:45Speaker 2: You cannot intentionally tumble with these with this type of
- 29:48Speaker 2: mum strapped to your chest.
- 29:50Speaker 3: Oh you'll tumble, for sure, It's just he'll be part
- 29:53Speaker 3: of the routine.
- 29:54Speaker 5: Yeah, that's why I said, Yeah, you cannot intentionally.
- 29:56Speaker 3: Yeah, wow, that is Uh, that's gotta be three four
- 30:02Speaker 3: hundred bucks pop easy.
- 30:06Speaker 2: I mean, I mean, look, things have progressed in the
- 30:10Speaker 2: years in the decade since we've been in high school.
- 30:14Speaker 2: I this looks like a parody. This is so ridiculous.
- 30:19Speaker 2: It looks like a spoo or something that would have
- 30:22Speaker 2: happened on Saturday Night Live.
- 30:25Speaker 4: Yeah, I can't imagine.
- 30:27Speaker 1: Like, yeah, it looks like what was the top secret?
- 30:34Speaker 5: Yeah with Val Kilmer.
- 30:35Speaker 1: Yeah, the giant like post of the magnifying glass away
- 30:38Speaker 1: and his eyes a real big Yeah.
- 30:48Speaker 4: I don't even know.
- 30:51Speaker 3: Did they Okay, do you ask the girl like, because
- 30:54Speaker 3: I just made the standard mom, you know, whatever went
- 30:58Speaker 3: on it? You know, football and what little trinkets and
- 31:01Speaker 3: footballs that went on it, and like we have those
- 31:05Speaker 3: theater masks as we're in theater. Do they ask these
- 31:08Speaker 3: girls like how, like what do you want on it?
- 31:11Speaker 3: And that's what they decided on.
- 31:13Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 31:13Speaker 4: These guys just do it.
- 31:15Speaker 2: I think when you have a mom this large, what
- 31:19Speaker 2: you do is you just have your mom to make
- 31:21Speaker 2: one and then you find the girl that you like
- 31:25Speaker 2: and you just throw it on her and then she's
- 31:28Speaker 2: basically yours because there's no way she could take that
- 31:30Speaker 2: off herself.
- 31:31Speaker 4: M Okay, sounds like an anchor.
- 31:36Speaker 2: Yeah, you will come to homecoming dance with me because
- 31:41Speaker 2: you have no other choice.
- 31:46Speaker 3: These are girls just getting wheeled in uh huh.
- 31:49Speaker 5: Like you don't see it, but the girls on the
- 31:52Speaker 5: bottom row, they're not kneeling. They're in wheelchairs.
- 31:58Speaker 4: Make a wish, mums.
- 32:00Speaker 2: And the girls in the back that appear to be
- 32:02Speaker 2: standing are actually propped up like mannequins.
- 32:08Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 32:08Speaker 3: I saw one in high school that actually was so
- 32:11Speaker 3: big it came with like an easel, and that girl
- 32:16Speaker 3: had to take it from class to class.
- 32:19Speaker 1: Oh my god.
- 32:20Speaker 3: Everybody else's had the one that you know, would just
- 32:22Speaker 3: pin on your clothes. Yeah, and this poor girl and
- 32:26Speaker 3: everybody made fun of her. So I guess she was
- 32:29Speaker 3: ahead of her time.
- 32:30Speaker 5: She was, she was a trailblazer.
- 32:32Speaker 2: If she was in school now, she'd probably be homecoming queen.
- 32:38Speaker 2: But it's a difficult thing because once people raise that bar,
- 32:43Speaker 2: then it's difficult for everybody else. Because I remember in
- 32:47Speaker 2: high school the homecoming days. Go to the store, see
- 32:50Speaker 2: the moms. See how elaborate some were. Now granted, none
- 32:52Speaker 2: of them were like this were They're three feet across
- 32:54Speaker 2: and you know, anchoring, you know, teenage girls to the
- 32:58Speaker 2: gym floor. But you could tell the difference there were
- 33:01Speaker 2: the smaller ones, the medium, the large, extra large, but
- 33:06Speaker 2: they were.
- 33:06Speaker 5: All pretty much within the same range.
- 33:09Speaker 2: Now for a poor kid like me, became a real
- 33:13Speaker 2: delicate balance to try to hit because it's like, Okay,
- 33:16Speaker 2: I like you, and I'm glad you're my homecoming date,
- 33:20Speaker 2: but I'm not loaded. My dad's not an anesthesiologist, so
- 33:25Speaker 2: I need to find a way to get you the
- 33:27Speaker 2: cheapest mom I can but still have some impact.
- 33:30Speaker 3: They just threw glitter on a uh carnation.
- 33:34Speaker 4: It was like, that's yours.
- 33:35Speaker 3: That's it, not even a rose, just one small carnation.
- 33:41Speaker 5: And one trinket sticking out of it that said school.
- 33:47Speaker 4: And your jersey number. Cause you got to make it
- 33:52Speaker 4: about you for a little.
- 33:53Speaker 2: Bit, you know, well, I mean that's how I mean,
- 33:55Speaker 2: that's Isn't that the whole reason for the thing. It's
- 33:57Speaker 2: like you're you're claiming this person is yours, this is
- 34:03Speaker 2: my day, my number one.
- 34:06Speaker 3: Yeah, in India, when we claim something is ours, you
- 34:11Speaker 3: wouldn't have married to that person. So that's not uh,
- 34:15Speaker 3: that's not homecoming, that's home wrecking.
- 34:18Speaker 4: That could be.
- 34:21Speaker 1: Dan where your trinkets just really big helmets and pencils.
- 34:27Speaker 4: Just said Danny.
- 34:31Speaker 5: First of all, Yes. Second of all, it said Danny's.
- 34:42Speaker 4: He was on a budget, so it said Denny's.
- 34:47Speaker 5: That's how I asked her out. I said, you are
- 34:49Speaker 5: my grand Slam Homecoming.
