- 0:33Hoyle is back with us to continue our conversation about,
- 0:38we're going to explore further, what do you do when
- 0:43things are going, when the going gets tough? Julie, welcome back.
- 0:49We're going to continue. We're just going to jump right
- 0:51back in.
- 0:52Speaker 2: Thank you, Diane. I can't wait. Let's go.
- 0:56Speaker 1: You know, we've been talking about circumstances changing. But, you know,
- 1:00one of the circumstances, you know, I do a lot
- 1:02of healing with people who have physical challenges. And one
- 1:06of the circumstances that can change is you suddenly don't
- 1:08feel well. Or like, where did that come from? And
- 1:11why is that happening? And, you know, usually it's been
- 1:15happening for a while.
- 1:18Speaker 2: Yes.
- 1:19Speaker 1: And you don't really want to pay attention to it.
- 1:22And then your body just... you know, keeps kind of
- 1:26upping the level of the message. Yes.
- 1:33Speaker 2: Turning the heat up or whatever you want to put it.
- 1:37Speaker 1: Yes. So, um, yeah.
- 1:41Speaker 2: The thing is for a long time, and I know
- 1:43you certainly do, even if I get the slightest headache
- 1:47or backache or whatever it is, I go straight to
- 1:49the condition and say, what are you here to show me? Yes.
- 1:54And I look at it as an invitation to receive
- 1:58a message from the body to pay attention to something
- 2:02that maybe I haven't been noticing or I haven't wanted
- 2:05to resolve or look at. And that's always a good
- 2:10starting point. Obviously, if you need to go to see
- 2:12a doctor or whatever, that's all fine too. But I
- 2:16think if you look at the condition energetically from the
- 2:19very beginning, it seems to soften it or speed up
- 2:24the recovery process somehow, you know, and it has an effect. Yes.
- 2:31Speaker 1: Yes. And sometimes you don't even find the right doctor until,
- 2:35or the right medicine. I've seen that both in myself
- 2:39and other people until you do that inner work and
- 2:43follow the inner guidance. It's kind of crazy sometimes the
- 2:46way that works. Yeah. I just want to say, you know,
- 2:50chronic illness, lots of things are a long arc. Yes.
- 2:56And for very complicated reasons. Sometimes... You know, we've been
- 3:04carrying an energy for maybe many incarnations and it's our
- 3:08soul has just decided it's time for you to heal this.
- 3:18And then they read you the riot act.
- 3:20Speaker 2: Yes. Yeah.
- 3:21Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 3:22Speaker 2: Or carrying the weight of unresolved trauma.
- 3:25Speaker 1: Yes.
- 3:26Speaker 2: Or unspoken frustrations from within the family dynamic.
- 3:30Speaker 1: Yes. Now, that is such a big topic because I
- 3:34personally think almost all of us are carrying some of
- 3:38unresolved trauma. I don't know what you think. Do you?
- 3:41Speaker 2: Yes, yes, I do.
- 3:42Speaker 1: I do.
- 3:43Speaker 2: I do.
- 3:44Speaker 1: I was kind of surprised to find that I had some,
- 3:47you know what I mean? I don't mean to sound whatever,
- 3:48but it kind of, I originally, I didn't, you know, associate,
- 3:53you know, my migraines or this with unresolved trauma. It took, right,
- 3:58giving myself some space and getting into a really like
- 4:04deep understanding. You know, it's not something that happens overnight.
- 4:08Speaker 2: No, no. It's a process.
- 4:12Speaker 1: Yes, yes. I think I want to emphasize that it
- 4:16is a process because I think people get so discouraged
- 4:20and think, well, I'm not having any luck. I'm not
- 4:24having any impact. And it's not that you're not having impact.
- 4:28It's that there might be so many different components to
- 4:32whatever you're going through, and it will take time.
- 4:35Speaker 2: Yes. Yes. I mean, look, I can speak to that
- 4:37directly because I started, I was thrown off a horse
- 4:40when I was maybe 14 or 15 and, um, landed
- 4:46on my back. And from that point on started to
- 4:49have problems, you know, backwards phasm. And then things really
- 4:54kicked off in my mid thirties. And I was on,
- 4:56you know, two bulging discs and so on and so forth.
- 5:00I was on bedrest for seven weeks. Um, But that
- 5:04time when I was in my 30s and I had
- 5:06this experience, I started to look at it from the
- 5:09energetic perspective and I was gifted with all kinds of insights.
- 5:14And that had a tremendous effect and that really helped
- 5:16the healing process. And having said that, even though there
- 5:21was a recognition with respect to what this was here,
- 5:24this back condition was here to show me, over the
- 5:28years since, I've still had I've had moments where I've
- 5:34had pain and it usually kicks off where there's been
- 5:39a lot of stress I've been dealing with or I've
- 5:41been having to work really long hours or, you know, whatever.
- 5:45So it's my body's way of saying, hey, don't forget.
- 5:48Pay attention.
- 5:51Speaker 1: Yes, I think most of us have like a spot. Yes.
- 5:57And whenever things get a little tougher, that spot, even
- 6:02if you worked on it a lot, you know, what
- 6:07I'd like to say is there's a difference between I
- 6:09can like heal almost anyone's migraine headache, you know, long
- 6:13distance in person, except my own. But it's also different
- 6:19than healing the underlying cause of a migraine headache. And
- 6:26that is a much deeper, more involved process that can
- 6:31take a long time.
- 6:33Speaker 2: Yes, for sure. Yes, for sure.
- 6:38Speaker 1: So I hope that gives people perspective because, you know,
- 6:42a lot of people are dealing with some kind of
- 6:44chronic challenge. whether it's a physical challenge or like losing
- 6:50job after job, that's a chronic, I consider that a
- 6:52chronic challenge of a different sort or not being able
- 6:54to make money or whatever. But, you know, so you'll
- 7:01have these episodic moments. And, you know, in my case,
- 7:06you know, when I first started exploring healing, I didn't
- 7:10even realize I had a chronic problem. I just thought, okay,
- 7:14I get a headache every so often. So, you know,
- 7:20and now I think I'm at the point where I
- 7:23don't really even, I'm just unraveling that final energy pattern,
- 7:28which is amazing.
- 7:31Speaker 2: Yes.
- 7:31Speaker 1: So, but it takes a long time to unravel to
- 7:35that level where you're not even dealing with the, you know, symptoms,
- 7:39so to speak, and you're just clearing that energy completely. Yeah.
- 7:44So I just want to say, I think life is
- 7:47a miracle and just everything is so filled with grace.
- 7:53We just, you know, and I just want to impart
- 7:57that to everybody. Like even if you're suffering from something
- 8:01or going through a hard time, it's a form of grace.
- 8:05Speaker 2: Yes.
- 8:06Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 8:06Speaker 2: And it does help to have a touchstone. you know,
- 8:11either through your path, your faith, your tradition, a prayer,
- 8:16a mantra, a practice, yoga practice, whatever it is, you know.
- 8:22Speaker 1: I don't think I could go forward in life without that.
- 8:25Speaker 2: No, no, it does make a huge difference because, again,
- 8:29it helps us get centered and then connect with what
- 8:33is real. And from there, we're able to draw strength
- 8:37and courage and guidance. and be able to take the
- 8:40next step. Yeah.
- 8:42Speaker 1: Thank you for saying that. So, you know, we didn't talk,
- 8:58there's a whole other dimension to this topic. Should we
- 9:01dive into that for a minute?
- 9:03Speaker 2: Yes.
- 9:04Speaker 1: Because I, you know, I've been asked about this, and
- 9:09I think it's on everybody's mind now. And that is,
- 9:12you know, the world is going through a lot right now.
- 9:15And you pick up the paper, and there's so much suffering.
- 9:18And it can be so heartbreaking, even if you're not
- 9:22personally involved with it. You know, when there's suffering from anyone,
- 9:26it does affect all of us, whether we realize it
- 9:28or not. Just energetically, you know, that field is affected.
- 9:36and um and it's so heartbreaking and also the feeling
- 9:40that maybe you can't do something like every time i
- 9:42read about somebody in iran who's being sentenced to death
- 9:46or is facing hanging i mean you just want to
- 9:50weep and so there's a lot of that going.
- 9:55Speaker 2: On yes for sure yeah one thing I was reflecting
- 10:01on the other day is you know we tend to
- 10:03think and have conversations about what's happening in the world
- 10:08and make statements like it's never been this bad world
- 10:11is crazy and it's getting crazier and all of those
- 10:14things that I think, you know, part of the kind
- 10:23of the illusion around that is that, of course, decades ago,
- 10:27200 years ago or however long ago, there wasn't social media.
- 10:31There wasn't the ability to connect with people across.
- 10:34Speaker 1: There wasn't even TV.
- 10:35Speaker 2: There wasn't TV. So everybody knew about the struggles within
- 10:39their own small community and, of course, in their own lives.
- 10:42They didn't know the kind of the broader aspects of
- 10:45what that suffering looked like. Now it's in everybody's backyard.
- 10:50It's in faces. So all of that said, I'm not
- 10:54saying this to minimize suffering.
- 10:57Speaker 1: No, I agree with you. Not only that, when you
- 11:00think about, you know, there's no period of time where
- 11:03people weren't terrible to each other.
- 11:05Speaker 2: Exactly.
- 11:06Speaker 1: I think we have to be very careful about what we.
- 11:08Speaker 2: Imbibe You know, it's like if you were going to,
- 11:18I don't know, let's say a fast food restaurant every
- 11:22day and you're eating breakfast, lunch and dinner there, you
- 11:25wouldn't stay very healthy for very long. And the same
- 11:28is true to opening up to, you know, everything that
- 11:31you see online, especially the negative news because negativity sells.
- 11:38So we have to be mindful about what we're taking
- 11:41in and also balance that with our own inner practices
- 11:46our own kind of you know contemplations or whatever we
- 11:50do to again get centered and grounded and from that
- 11:54place we can help we can help shift a mood
- 11:59or an environment a room you know, you can help
- 12:02lift the energy in the room where there's, you know.
- 12:05Speaker 1: Or even just pray for other people or a country or,
- 12:08you know.
- 12:09Speaker 2: Yes.
- 12:09Speaker 1: But when you sink down to the despair, then it's
- 12:12hard to be a force for uplifting other people. Absolutely. Yes. So, yeah,
- 12:19somebody asked me this question recently and I was like, well,
- 12:22I just don't think there's any period of time, you know,
- 12:24I mean, is this worse than World War II or
- 12:27World War I? I mean, that was horrific or the
- 12:30War of the Roses or the, you know, you could
- 12:33just go back and the Roman times, I mean, you know,
- 12:37or what's happening in, you know, the Sudan or what
- 12:40happened in Rwanda. I mean, it's just, you know, the
- 12:44thing that I take from this is that you want
- 12:48to do your practices, you want to stay in as
- 12:51uplifted a state as possible, and you want to be
- 12:55kind and compassionate to others. It doesn't mean not having boundaries,
- 12:59but the thing you can always do. And you can
- 13:02do it thinking, I just want to bring more kindness
- 13:06into the world. I want to, you know, I remember
- 13:09once I was online. This is like a long time ago.
- 13:12It's like a little story, okay? But I've never forgotten it.
- 13:16A little experience, but it was big, very big. So
- 13:20I was online in a store in Manhattan. Maybe it
- 13:24was a deli or something. I think it was a deli.
- 13:27And the guy behind the counter was a little overwhelmed.
- 13:30There was a lot of demand and this and that
- 13:32and customers who were agitated. Maybe there was a long line.
- 13:37And when he was taking the order of the person
- 13:40right in front of me, I realized some of the,
- 13:45you know, things on the counter were disarrayed, like maybe
- 13:48the cards and the toothpicks or something. And I just
- 13:52straightened everything up while I was waiting. Seems like a
- 13:56really small thing.
- 13:57Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 13:59Speaker 1: And it is a small thing, but I did it
- 14:01with an intention. And he was so grateful because he
- 14:04could feel the intention, which was to bring order, comfort, support.
- 14:12So it doesn't always take a lot to make a
- 14:15difference in another person's life. Right, right.
- 14:20Speaker 2: And the thing that I always try to do, and again,
- 14:22this is a really, really simple example, but whenever I
- 14:25go to the food store, I talk to the checkout staff. Yes.
- 14:30You know, largely women. I'll say, hi, how's it going?
- 14:33How's your day been? What time did you start? When
- 14:35do you finish? Yes, I do that too. No, I
- 14:40can't wait.
- 14:40Speaker 1: To get home. I say, are you at the beginning
- 14:43of your shift or the end?
- 14:44Speaker 2: Yes. Just to make, just to help them feel acknowledged
- 14:49and to say that I really value, you know, them
- 14:53working there and helping me, you know. And, you know,
- 14:56the security guard on the way out, thank you so much.
- 14:58You know, I'll make a joke. In the Bahamas, they
- 15:02sign your checkout slip to make sure that.
- 15:05Speaker 1: You pay for everything. Oh, yes, they haven't stolen anything.
- 15:09They do that at Costco, too. Yeah, yeah.
- 15:11Speaker 2: So, you know, I'll make a joke. I'll say, I'm
- 15:13keeping your signature because when you get famous, I'll be
- 15:15able to sell it. You know, I'll make a joke
- 15:17about something, you know, and we just have a laugh
- 15:19and then I go about my day. But these very,
- 15:23very simple things can really brighten someone's day. And it
- 15:27doesn't cost anything. It doesn't take anything. Yeah, it makes
- 15:32me feel good. I have a laugh with them and then,
- 15:36you know, on I go.
- 15:38Speaker 1: So, and it can seem like this is totally disconnected
- 15:41from all the disorder and violence in the world, you know.
- 15:45Speaker 2: Right.
- 15:45Speaker 1: Political violence, whatever you want to call it. But It
- 15:49is an antidote.
- 15:52Speaker 2: Yes.
- 15:53Speaker 1: And so we want to do the antidote. Big and small. Prayer,
- 16:00acts of kindness. You can always make a difference.
- 16:04Speaker 2: Yes, absolutely.
- 16:06Speaker 1: And you do have to shield yourself from just getting
- 16:10swept up in it. I swear, I was reading all
- 16:13about Jeffrey Epstein and his victims. Very tragic. I mean, horrifying.
- 16:19But I just, there came a point where I just,
- 16:21I had learned enough and it was traumatizing myself. And
- 16:26I had to stop, you know, dwelling on the worst
- 16:31negative parts of it. It's not that I don't believe
- 16:35in justice in that case or anything, but actually withdrawing
- 16:40from the dark part of it actually can help support
- 16:45the light.
- 16:45Speaker 2: Yes, yes. And, you know, I think that's really key.
- 16:48The key is to obviously be informed, but then know
- 16:53when to kind of safeguard yourself.
- 16:56Speaker 1: And transmute. Transmute your own darker or, you know, despairing
- 17:03energies into light.
- 17:05Speaker 2: Yes. Yes. From that perspective, then you're able to be
- 17:09a light in the world. You're able to help other people.
- 17:12Speaker 1: Yes. Which is what, you know, setting your intention. It's
- 17:17a simple thing and it goes a long way. So,
- 17:20you know, what is your intention? You know, do you
- 17:23want to be uplifting other people? Yes.
- 17:28Speaker 2: Yes.
- 17:28Speaker 1: So, yeah, be a saint. Right? Why not?
- 17:36Speaker 2: Yeah, why not? I mean, instead of thinking that's only available.
- 17:40Speaker 1: To other people.
- 17:41Speaker 2: To saints.
- 17:42Speaker 1: To saints.
- 17:45Speaker 2: Well, I always remember there was a quote, and I forget,
- 17:48I think, who was it now? I forget which saint
- 17:52that said it, or a night being that said it,
- 17:56but he said, there's no saint without a past and
- 18:01no sinner without a future.
- 18:03Speaker 1: Oh, isn't that beautiful?
- 18:05Speaker 2: It's so beautiful.
- 18:06Speaker 1: Oh, my God. I love that so much. Because, you know,
- 18:09I mean, that says something else, too, which is people
- 18:11get into a thing and they're like, I can't make
- 18:13things better. You know, like either they are carrying so
- 18:18much guilt or shame or so destroyed by something that happened.
- 18:24But you can always bring it to the light and
- 18:28ask for healing. Maybe you can't do it all yourself.
- 18:32I actually think it's impossible to do it all yourself.
- 18:34It's really helpful to do it with other people and
- 18:37the saints and the archangels and things like that. Yes.
- 18:43Speaker 2: I remember now, it was Heideken Baba. That was the name.
- 18:48There's no saint without a past and no sinner without
- 18:51a future. And I just said, wow. It's such a
- 18:55simple message, but it's profound.
- 18:58Speaker 1: Yes, and we can all decide that we want to
- 18:59be on the path to sainthood, right?
- 19:01Speaker 2: Yes, yes.
- 19:03Speaker 1: I mean, why not? What other path would you want
- 19:06to be on?
- 19:06Speaker 2: Yes.
- 19:10Speaker 1: Okay. Well, it's always amazing to talk to you, Julie.
- 19:14And I hope everyone comes away from this feeling uplifted
- 19:18or guided. And we will be returning soon. And I
- 19:24hope you'll be back soon, too. It's great to have you.
- 19:28Speaker 2: Thank you, Diane. This has been an absolute joy as always.
- 19:32Thank you so much.
- 19:33Speaker 1: God bless. And we'll be back next week with Energy Medicine.
