Transcript
- 0:04Speaker 1: And we have mentioned a couple times we believe in
- 0:08Speaker 1: the Glenten House there might be the very early signs
- 0:11Speaker 1: of a little bit of motion for Baby G to
- 0:13Speaker 1: be entering the world pretty soon, Harry. You know, maybe
- 0:16Speaker 1: a day or two, could be three days, You never know,
- 0:18Speaker 1: but I do believe there are some signs of.
- 0:20Speaker 2: Somemotion and this is very exciting. And I know that
- 0:24Speaker 2: you already have a name picked out for baby G. However,
- 0:29Speaker 2: when it comes to a middle name, I would like
- 0:32Speaker 2: to make my case for why you should give baby
- 0:36Speaker 2: G the middle name ang Okay, I've got three reasons
- 0:42Speaker 2: for you. First, the meaning of Angie. It means God's
- 0:46Speaker 2: messenger aka an angel, and Baby g wo is going
- 0:51Speaker 2: to be the little angel in your lives for the
- 0:54Speaker 2: rest of time, so it's fitting.
- 0:56Speaker 3: Okay, Okay.
- 0:57Speaker 2: Now number two, I know but sometimes I be annoying
- 1:02Speaker 2: and I can be a bit of a brat. But
- 1:06Speaker 2: that's perfect because when Baby G is acting like a brat,
- 1:11Speaker 2: which won't be often surely, in classic parent fashion, you
- 1:16Speaker 2: can say, baby g Angie, glitten, go to your room.
- 1:22Speaker 2: You know what I mean, and it fits because you
- 1:24Speaker 2: know I be a brat sometimes, so you can use Angie.
- 1:28Speaker 2: And then the third and final reason you should give
- 1:32Speaker 2: baby g Angie as her middle name is because, pretty please, I'm.
- 1:38Speaker 4: Gonna be such a good aunt. I'm gonna be so
- 1:42Speaker 4: good she's gonna love me.
- 1:43Speaker 2: I will babysay, i will do all the things, and
- 1:46Speaker 2: pretty pretty please with a Toyota Tacoma on top.
- 1:50Speaker 3: All right, Well, here's what I'll say.
- 1:52Speaker 1: When my mother was going through my brother, my and
- 1:54Speaker 1: my younger sister's names, she I think landed on all
- 1:58Speaker 1: of them by practicing honestly yelling at us true stories.
- 2:03Speaker 1: She would go in like this hallway and yell out
- 2:07Speaker 1: names that would kind of roll and I don't know,
- 2:12Speaker 1: fall off the tongue really easily, for when we were
- 2:15Speaker 1: in trouble. You might think I'm kidding, but that is
- 2:17Speaker 1: how she landed on Gabriel Joseph.
- 2:20Speaker 4: Gabriel Joseph.
- 2:22Speaker 5: Glit it get in.
- 2:23Speaker 1: Here right now. So when I was in trouble, she
- 2:25Speaker 1: would let it rip. So I'll give you this. I
- 2:28Speaker 1: will go home. I will ask Corey if we can
- 2:31Speaker 1: practice yelling baby G's name, which is kind of funny.
- 2:35Speaker 1: I have let it slip a couple times here on
- 2:37Speaker 1: Big treeo point seven. But I'm trying not to. We're
- 2:39Speaker 1: kind of playing that a little close to the vest.
- 2:41Speaker 1: But I will go home and practice yelling baby G
- 2:44Speaker 1: a G glittin and see how it goes. Now, if
- 2:48Speaker 1: I can't do that, I can do this for you.
- 2:50Speaker 1: What what if her middle name starts with a G?
- 2:54Speaker 4: Why would I want that?
- 3:00Speaker 5: Riding life's little victories victory every morning we practice gratitude
- 3:04Speaker 5: on Big ninety eight points seven. If I could, I
- 3:07Speaker 5: would keep this feeling in a basket job busted out
- 3:10Speaker 5: when it was someone's acting hard. I just really needed
- 3:13Speaker 5: to win, you know, sure your little victories with us
- 3:15Speaker 5: at seven oh one two one eight seven.
- 3:19Speaker 1: All right, Angie, do you have a little victory for
- 3:22Speaker 1: us today?
- 3:22Speaker 2: My kids had been asking for a few days, and
- 3:25Speaker 2: so I finally made them a mushroom burgers last night
- 3:30Speaker 2: and they loved it.
- 3:31Speaker 3: Really, what's a mushroom burger?
- 3:33Speaker 4: Like a burger that has mushrooms on it?
- 3:35Speaker 3: Oh?
- 3:35Speaker 2: That's it, Okay, mushrooms, grilled onions, garlic, and then you
- 3:40Speaker 2: know burger.
- 3:41Speaker 3: I'll tell you what.
- 3:42Speaker 1: That sounds delicious minus the mushroom part for me.
- 3:47Speaker 3: Oh you don't like mush I do not. I have
- 3:49Speaker 3: tried so hard to enjoy it. I just can't.
- 3:52Speaker 1: But it's cool that your kids do like mushrooms. Didn't
- 3:54Speaker 1: they getmushrooms on a pizza at Unhinged Sports Bar.
- 3:57Speaker 3: The other Yes, I remember that. Yeah, good for that.
- 4:01Speaker 4: And then maybe one day they'll be obsessed with shrooms.
- 4:03Speaker 3: I don't know, I get the reference.
- 4:07Speaker 1: My little victory is my mother in law or Wanona's grandma,
- 4:12Speaker 1: is at the house, and it's just wonderful for her
- 4:16Speaker 1: to be there.
- 4:17Speaker 3: You know, I don't want to speak a little.
- 4:20Speaker 1: Too soon, but I do believe potentially some things are
- 4:23Speaker 1: in motion for baby g to arrive. I think, you know,
- 4:26Speaker 1: within a day or two ish or so. And it's
- 4:30Speaker 1: just really nice to have Corey's mom there. And our dog,
- 4:33Speaker 1: Wanona sleeps in our bed every single night. I know
- 4:36Speaker 1: how some people don't love that. A lot of dog
- 4:38Speaker 1: people do love that. And she takes up most of
- 4:41Speaker 1: the room and it was very strange. I woke up
- 4:43Speaker 1: this morning when my alarm went off. Of course, I
- 4:45Speaker 1: went in to brush my teeth, and then I was
- 4:48Speaker 1: gonna say goodbye to Corey, and I was kind of
- 4:50Speaker 1: looking around, and it's like, why is there so much
- 4:52Speaker 1: room in this bed. Well, our dog, the little trader
- 4:56Speaker 1: that she is, jumped out of our bed at some
- 4:59Speaker 1: point in the morning. She was with us for most
- 5:01Speaker 1: of the night and went and laid with Grandma.
- 5:04Speaker 2: Okay, well, let Wenona have that, because pretty soon Grandma's
- 5:07Speaker 2: gonna have a human grandchild and.
- 5:11Speaker 1: Getting kicked to the correctly they want to do that, No,
- 5:14Speaker 1: I know, yeah, but it was just it was really
- 5:17Speaker 1: nice to have her arrived, and it was kind of
- 5:19Speaker 1: funny just not having Monona right next to me. When
- 5:21Speaker 1: I woke up this morning, we just had Dracula there
- 5:27Speaker 1: that song.
- 5:28Speaker 3: Now we're not that good. We just kind of got lucky.
- 5:30Speaker 1: Because Angie wants to talk about Halloween.
- 5:35Speaker 4: Yes I do. I'm really excited. It's time.
- 5:40Speaker 3: You have got to be kidding me.
- 5:42Speaker 2: I have not Fourth of July is done, So what
- 5:45Speaker 2: is the next big fun holiday?
- 5:48Speaker 4: Halloween?
- 5:49Speaker 2: And that takes a lot of preparation to make it
- 5:52Speaker 2: like a spectacular holiday. It's not a one off where,
- 5:57Speaker 2: like you know, you wake up on Saint Patrick's you
- 6:00Speaker 2: start drinking and it's Saint Patrick's Day, Like Halloween is
- 6:02Speaker 2: a whole vibe, and I feel like the planning has
- 6:06Speaker 2: to start now, decorating the house on the outside and
- 6:10Speaker 2: the inside, planning your costume, getting in the mood by
- 6:15Speaker 2: watching all of the different horror movies, and that takes time.
- 6:19Speaker 4: So you got to start right after for July.
- 6:23Speaker 1: Looking at me like that, Halloween is like four months
- 6:25Speaker 1: away now it isn't.
- 6:27Speaker 3: Yeah, we basically have all of July left.
- 6:29Speaker 1: It's only the seventh So July, August, September, October.
- 6:33Speaker 2: No, it's like three months because we're gonna blink in
- 6:36Speaker 2: July is gonna be done?
- 6:37Speaker 3: What about Labor Day that's in September.
- 6:40Speaker 4: That's a one off, that's like a one little whatever.
- 6:43Speaker 2: Halloween is a whole season and we gotta get into it.
- 6:47Speaker 3: Oh, I'm that's where.
- 6:50Speaker 1: Yes, I did know Halloween was a two week, three
- 6:53Speaker 1: week long thing.
- 6:54Speaker 2: Okay, rest of all, it's at the very least the
- 6:58Speaker 2: entire month of October.
- 7:00Speaker 3: It's the entire month, yes, and then.
- 7:02Speaker 4: We got a prep for it.
- 7:03Speaker 2: You're being so annoying, Gabe. I don't understand why you're
- 7:07Speaker 2: not into this. I'm already looking into what I need
- 7:11Speaker 2: to well. Also, really good costumes take preparation, and for me,
- 7:16Speaker 2: since I'm such a Halloween. Well, I was gonna say
- 7:20Speaker 2: a bad word since I love Halloween so hard. I
- 7:24Speaker 2: dress up every single day of the work week leading
- 7:28Speaker 2: up to Halloween.
- 7:29Speaker 4: And this year I looked it up a couple days ago.
- 7:33Speaker 2: I think Halloween ends on a Saturday, lands on a Saturday,
- 7:37Speaker 2: so I need to plan at minimum six costumes Monday
- 7:43Speaker 2: through Friday and then the Saturday. And then also we
- 7:46Speaker 2: tend to do Crawloween, so that's a seventh costume, and
- 7:51Speaker 2: so I have to start planning.
- 7:52Speaker 3: Now, what do you do if Halloween's on like a Tuesday.
- 7:56Speaker 2: Then, oh, you know what, I'll cross that bridge. I
- 7:59Speaker 2: guess when I into it, I start on the Monday.
- 8:02Speaker 4: No, because I don't.
- 8:04Speaker 2: I also don't believe in doing Halloween after the thirty first,
- 8:09Speaker 2: because once November first hits that I'm in Christmas season.
- 8:12Speaker 2: Here's my question, Oh my, what is worse thinking about
- 8:16Speaker 2: Halloween right now?
- 8:17Speaker 3: Or that one?
- 8:18Speaker 2: No, or a person who's like it's Christmas in July.
- 8:24Speaker 4: And doing Christmas in July.
- 8:26Speaker 3: That is a good question. Seven oh one two eight
- 8:29Speaker 3: zero one nine eight seven.
- 8:31Speaker 1: Is Angie insane for already prepping and thinking about Halloween.
- 8:37Speaker 3: We haven't even got to August. We haven't got to.
- 8:40Speaker 1: Football season, Labor Day, school hasn't started. There's a kajillion
- 8:45Speaker 1: things to be excited about before Halloween.
- 8:47Speaker 4: I hear you and disagree.
- 8:50Speaker 1: Seven oh one two eight zero one nine eight seven.
- 8:53Speaker 1: When are you beginning your Halloween what prep? I guess
- 8:58Speaker 1: I will let you know right now if I see
- 9:00Speaker 1: a store with Halloween stuff in it, unless it's a
- 9:03Speaker 1: designated Halloween store, like that's just what they do all
- 9:06Speaker 1: year round. If I see a store with Halloween stuff
- 9:08Speaker 1: in it before, I would I almost want to say September,
- 9:12Speaker 1: but that's probably not realistic. Before August, I swear to
- 9:16Speaker 1: goodness to you, I will not shop there until Halloween arrives. Well,
- 9:26Speaker 1: Taylor just tossed a bouquet actually that was caught by
- 9:29Speaker 1: a Kansas City Chief football player's sister's cool.
- 9:33Speaker 3: At her wedding.
- 9:34Speaker 1: And we're celebrating Taylor in Travis's marriage and mister and
- 9:39Speaker 1: missus Swift, and we're going to celebrate today, Angie by
- 9:43Speaker 1: playing a little game.
- 9:44Speaker 3: It's called Taylor or not Taylor. That is the question.
- 9:47Speaker 3: Oh what?
- 9:48Speaker 4: Okay?
- 9:49Speaker 1: I have got a list of very real Taylor Swift
- 9:51Speaker 1: lyrics for you. Okay, and a list of very real
- 9:55Speaker 1: Gabe Glitton lyrics that were made up, and I would
- 9:59Speaker 1: like you to tell me which ones are real Taylor
- 10:02Speaker 1: saw lyrics or me.
- 10:05Speaker 2: Okay, So I imagine you're going like deep cuts, You're not
- 10:08Speaker 2: just no, I'm not gonnay shake it off?
- 10:11Speaker 3: Yeah, or we are never ever ever getting back together? Okay, okay, okay,
- 10:14Speaker 3: all right? How about this?
- 10:16Speaker 1: You said forever then you left your hoodie and my
- 10:19Speaker 1: trust issues in my car?
- 10:21Speaker 3: Is that a real Taylor lyric?
- 10:25Speaker 4: Yes, a real Yes, that's a real Taylor lyric.
- 10:29Speaker 1: To Taylor or not to Taylor? That is the question.
- 10:31Speaker 1: That is not Taylor. I really channeled my inner Taylor's
- 10:35Speaker 1: spirit there.
- 10:36Speaker 4: It's because doesn't she talk about it?
- 10:38Speaker 6: Oh?
- 10:38Speaker 2: That was a scarf. Scarf that was like it was
- 10:43Speaker 2: Jake Jillen Halls.
- 10:45Speaker 3: Really all right?
- 10:46Speaker 1: Okay, what about this you call me up again just
- 10:50Speaker 1: to break me like a promise? Is that a Gabe
- 10:52Speaker 1: Glitten a tailor? That's a tailor That is Taylor? That
- 10:56Speaker 1: is from her song all too well? Yes, all right, Taylor,
- 11:00Speaker 1: not Taylor Angie. They say I did something bad, but
- 11:04Speaker 1: why does it feel so good? That's a Gabe that
- 11:09Speaker 1: is I'm glad you know what. I'm glad you think
- 11:11Speaker 1: I'm capable of that.
- 11:13Speaker 3: That is a tailor.
- 11:14Speaker 4: Oh, that's a tailor.
- 11:15Speaker 1: That is from Taylor. It's from the song I did
- 11:18Speaker 1: something bad.
- 11:19Speaker 4: Oh my, I just.
- 11:20Speaker 2: Thought it would be a deeper lyric than that, which
- 11:23Speaker 2: really just means that I don't think you're mad, and.
- 11:26Speaker 1: To your defense, you are not. You're like, you don't
- 11:29Speaker 1: hate Taylor Swift, but you're not like a big I'm not.
- 11:31Speaker 4: A diehard Swifty.
- 11:32Speaker 2: So if I'm not hearing the lyrics set to music,
- 11:35Speaker 2: I'm especially probably not gonna.
- 11:36Speaker 1: Know right, all right, all right, I have another one
- 11:38Speaker 1: for you, Angie. I'm a mess, but I'm the mess.
- 11:41Speaker 1: You wanted Taylor or not to Taylor? That is the question.
- 11:46Speaker 4: That's gotta be a gabe.
- 11:48Speaker 3: This is a tailor. Why this is a tailor? This
- 11:51Speaker 3: is why we can't have nice things? Is what that's from?
- 11:55Speaker 1: Bro?
- 11:56Speaker 3: Do you even know that song? No? Okay?
- 11:58Speaker 2: And also it just sounds like a lyric that you
- 12:01Speaker 2: would make up.
- 12:03Speaker 4: Anybody could file that lawsuit against.
- 12:06Speaker 1: What about I made a playlist for us and then
- 12:09Speaker 1: deleted your number like it was a song I skipped?
- 12:12Speaker 3: Is that a tailor or a Gabe.
- 12:14Speaker 4: I want to give you credit and say it's a Gabe.
- 12:16Speaker 1: That is a Gabe, that is the idea, That is
- 12:20Speaker 1: a game.
- 12:20Speaker 6: Okay.
- 12:21Speaker 2: I just wanted it to be you, but I fully
- 12:23Speaker 2: think that that would be a tailor.
- 12:26Speaker 1: Wow, say I channeled my inner tailor for this. All right,
- 12:30Speaker 1: what about this one? You might know this one, okay,
- 12:33Speaker 1: or you might be a big fan of me. We'll
- 12:35Speaker 1: find out here okay. And you've got a smile that
- 12:39Speaker 1: could light up this whole town.
- 12:42Speaker 4: Oh, that's a tailor.
- 12:43Speaker 1: And you've got a smile that could light up this
- 12:46Speaker 1: whole town.
- 12:47Speaker 3: What's that song?
- 12:47Speaker 4: I have no idea, I just know I've heard it.
- 12:50Speaker 1: You belong with me? Oh that is a tailor. I
- 12:54Speaker 1: kind of like that game. I'm gonna have to bring
- 12:55Speaker 1: this one back.
- 12:56Speaker 2: I love this game, but more and more it's making
- 12:58Speaker 2: me think, Gabe, can you write a song?
- 13:02Speaker 4: Ala Taylor?
- 13:03Speaker 1: You know I've written a couple songs in my days,
- 13:06Speaker 1: just me and my guitar. Man.
- 13:07Speaker 4: I'm sorry, they wait, what.
- 13:10Speaker 3: Of Gabe Glyndon Originals?
- 13:11Speaker 4: Yeah, okay, you have to share with the clients.
- 13:15Speaker 1: My inner tailor. Maybe have something for you. Tomorrow or
- 13:17Speaker 1: maybe when baby G is born. You know, we'll get something. Okay,
- 13:24Speaker 1: there's this discussion online. I thought it was kind of interesting,
- 13:27Speaker 1: and it breaks down what people say are the real
- 13:30Speaker 1: signs someone is just a genuinely good person, And most
- 13:35Speaker 1: of the things are not big, flashy grand gestures, but
- 13:39Speaker 1: things like including others in a group, returning the shopping cart,
- 13:44Speaker 1: treating everyone with respect no matter their job or job title,
- 13:49Speaker 1: owning up to mistakes. We're kind of the Big Five
- 13:51Speaker 1: at the start there.
- 13:53Speaker 2: Owning up to mistakes. That's a big one. Accountability.
- 13:56Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 13:57Speaker 1: Some of the other signs were actually listening when people talk,
- 14:01Speaker 1: defending others even when it's uncomfortable, and even small things
- 14:05Speaker 1: like picking up litter. And then this was my favorite one,
- 14:08Speaker 1: earning a cat's trust me.
- 14:11Speaker 4: Oh, that's actually mezing.
- 14:12Speaker 1: You're probably a pretty genuinely good person. The bottom line
- 14:16Speaker 1: is that character really shows up when nobody is watching.
- 14:20Speaker 2: That's what I always tell my kids. I always say,
- 14:22Speaker 2: characters who you.
- 14:23Speaker 4: Are when no one's looking.
- 14:25Speaker 3: That's right.
- 14:25Speaker 4: And so.
- 14:28Speaker 2: There are times where I am a little frustrated with
- 14:31Speaker 2: the kiddos because I'm like, you wouldn't be doing that
- 14:35Speaker 2: if I were around, It's like, the second I turn around,
- 14:38Speaker 2: you do the things that I hate, and.
- 14:39Speaker 4: It's like, that's not great character. And sometimes sometimes.
- 14:45Speaker 2: They're like oh man, and other times they're like you're
- 14:49Speaker 2: just mad, Like they don't think that that really counts.
- 14:53Speaker 3: For Aid and Liam catch this morning, I.
- 14:57Speaker 2: Think, for the record, I think both of my are
- 15:00Speaker 2: of great character. I'm just saying that when they do
- 15:04Speaker 2: stuff behind my back, I try to pull that card
- 15:06Speaker 2: out and be like, oh, so you're not you don't
- 15:08Speaker 2: got good character.
- 15:09Speaker 1: They're likely just messing with mom because it's funny that part.
- 15:14Speaker 4: Yeah, Sometimes it's better to be funny than.
- 15:16Speaker 3: A good person. That's right, Angie.
- 15:19Speaker 1: Once the last time someone did something you thought was
- 15:21Speaker 1: like just genuinely nice and maybe a little unexpected.
- 15:26Speaker 2: God, you know what, Mikey the love of my life.
- 15:31Speaker 2: I let me be real here. I am not legally
- 15:35Speaker 2: divorced yet. Right My ex and I've been split up
- 15:38Speaker 2: for three years.
- 15:39Speaker 4: He not trying to get back with me. He's not interested,
- 15:43Speaker 4: and nor am I.
- 15:44Speaker 2: But I just haven't done like the paperwork part't because
- 15:47Speaker 2: that sounds like a lot. And actually, on my birthday,
- 15:51Speaker 2: Mikey presented me with all of the paperwork completed, except
- 15:56Speaker 2: for it just needs my signatures. Yeah, like that's.
- 16:00Speaker 3: So he did all the hard still, he did all of.
- 16:02Speaker 4: The hard stuff.
- 16:03Speaker 2: He even put the little the little sticky notes to
- 16:06Speaker 2: show me where to sign.
- 16:07Speaker 5: Like.
- 16:07Speaker 2: He did it all because he knows I would not
- 16:10Speaker 2: feel like it, and so I'll have to do is
- 16:13Speaker 2: sign And that's exciting.
- 16:15Speaker 4: That was very kind. I didn't ask him to do it.
- 16:18Speaker 2: I was never like complaining about it or anything. He
- 16:22Speaker 2: just took it upon himself to do all of that
- 16:24Speaker 2: because he knew it was a burden that seemed too
- 16:27Speaker 2: stressful for me. So yeah, I'm with a good one.
- 16:30Speaker 2: He's a good one, that miikey.
- 16:31Speaker 1: That's right, very that is very very nice, taking that
- 16:34Speaker 1: just kind of off of I don't know, off your
- 16:36Speaker 1: plate off actual Yes, seven oh one two eight zero
- 16:40Speaker 1: one nine eight seven. What's the last thing or when's
- 16:43Speaker 1: the last time someone did something maybe a little bit
- 16:45Speaker 1: unexpectedly nice for you?
- 16:48Speaker 3: We do have Amber on the phone. Amber, what what's
- 16:51Speaker 3: your story?
- 16:52Speaker 6: I was having one of those awful days where just
- 16:55Speaker 6: everything was going wrong, and when I got to the
- 16:57Speaker 6: drive through, the cashier told me that the person one
- 17:00Speaker 6: of me had paid for my meal and it wasn't
- 17:02Speaker 6: about the money. It just completely changed my mood.
- 17:06Speaker 3: Yeah, that's really nice. I love that.
- 17:07Speaker 4: I don't love when it starts a chain, but I
- 17:09Speaker 4: like it with.
- 17:10Speaker 3: Five thousand people. Yeah, but I do like.
- 17:12Speaker 4: When someone does that in general. That's very kind.
- 17:15Speaker 1: Yeah, I think that's pretty cool. The last time someone
- 17:18Speaker 1: and I'm sure you know my wife does nice things
- 17:20Speaker 1: for me every single day. But I think the thing
- 17:24Speaker 1: that comes to mind is when I wasn't really expecting it.
- 17:28Speaker 1: But do you remember the Big Daddy of Big ninety
- 17:29Speaker 1: eight point seven, Yes, when he sent us just some
- 17:33Speaker 1: fatherhood advice and it wasn't like a ten fifteen second
- 17:38Speaker 1: kind of jokey dad thing.
- 17:40Speaker 3: Yeah, it was like a three minute.
- 17:42Speaker 1: Video that was really he really thought out and put
- 17:45Speaker 1: a lot of effort into which I thought was very
- 17:47Speaker 1: very sweet and very nice of him to take the
- 17:49Speaker 1: time to do it. You know, anybody can do a quick,
- 17:52Speaker 1: little ten to fifteen second like hey, change the diapers
- 17:55Speaker 1: and just make your wife happy.
- 17:56Speaker 3: Anybody can do that, you know. I think that I
- 17:58Speaker 3: thought it was pretty.
- 17:59Speaker 2: Nice because you are trying to dethrone him next year.
- 18:03Speaker 2: That's right for the Big Daddy of Big ninety eight
- 18:06Speaker 2: point seven during March Dad miss So for him to
- 18:08Speaker 2: say such thoughtful, nice things to you could never.
- 18:11Speaker 1: Be me.
- 18:14Speaker 3: In the world of rules.
- 18:15Speaker 5: In gray areas, one morning show dares to ask the
- 18:18Speaker 5: hard questions.
- 18:19Speaker 3: We both know you're guilty. He's guilty. Is it legal?
- 18:23Speaker 1: You're guilty of the worst crime of all?
- 18:26Speaker 5: On Big ninety eight point seven.
- 18:29Speaker 1: All right, it is summer, we are in full swing
- 18:32Speaker 1: of summer. You're on the lake, suns out, vibes are high,
- 18:35Speaker 1: and someone asks the dangerous question of who wants to
- 18:40Speaker 1: drive the boat. So here's today's Is it legal? Is
- 18:44Speaker 1: it legal to operate a boat after a few adult beverages?
- 18:47Speaker 1: I would like to hope that the vast majority of humans, Yeah,
- 18:53Speaker 1: not even vast I'd like to hope all, but I'm
- 18:56Speaker 1: gonna aim short here. A vast majority of humans know
- 19:00Speaker 1: that you cannot drive a boat while you are intoxicated
- 19:03Speaker 1: or have been drinking. The short answer is no, not
- 19:06Speaker 1: even a little bit. In North Dakota and Minnesota, being
- 19:10Speaker 1: under the influence with a boat is just like driving
- 19:13Speaker 1: a car under the influence, same laws, same penalties, same
- 19:19Speaker 1: You're gonna have a bad time vibes at the end
- 19:21Speaker 1: of it. Yeah, all right, Well we're talking fines, possible arrests,
- 19:25Speaker 1: and yes, you can absolutely lose your driver's license over
- 19:30Speaker 1: what started over what started with just a couple in
- 19:33Speaker 1: a pontoon.
- 19:34Speaker 4: Oh my gosh. That's okay.
- 19:36Speaker 2: That's good to know, because you don't have to have
- 19:38Speaker 2: a boating license to just like recreationally go out on
- 19:41Speaker 2: the water, right.
- 19:43Speaker 3: I don't I'm not sure. I've never been like a
- 19:45Speaker 3: boat guy.
- 19:46Speaker 1: I would assume once you're over eighteen, everything kind of changes,
- 19:49Speaker 1: but I don't know.
- 19:50Speaker 3: Maybe you have to take a class. Every state's kind
- 19:52Speaker 3: of different.
- 19:52Speaker 4: Yeah, well, well.
- 19:53Speaker 2: If you know this information, let us know seven oh
- 19:56Speaker 2: one to two, eight oh one to nine eighty seven.
- 19:57Speaker 4: But yeah, do not drink.
- 20:00Speaker 2: Can boat boozing boat if.
- 20:05Speaker 1: You are out on the water this weekend or at
- 20:08Speaker 1: any weekend. Remember, the captain of the boat should also
- 20:11Speaker 1: be the captain of not making terrible life choices.
- 20:15Speaker 4: And not have any captain morgan.
- 20:17Speaker 3: That's right.
- 20:19Speaker 1: And if something bad happens to you on a boat
- 20:21Speaker 1: while you're you know, boozing and boating, your friends will
- 20:24Speaker 1: never ever ever let you live that down. So obviously,
- 20:28Speaker 1: keep everyone safe, keep yourself safe, the people on the
- 20:30Speaker 1: boat safe, but also save yourself from the friendship embarrassment. Well,
- 20:41Speaker 1: it is very quite possible within a day or two,
- 20:44Speaker 1: baby G will arrive to the world.
- 20:47Speaker 4: It's so excited.
- 20:48Speaker 1: It seem maybe last night, there are a couple of
- 20:50Speaker 1: things kind of getting emotion. I know, I don't really
- 20:53Speaker 1: have to go into a ton of what that is.
- 20:54Speaker 1: If you're a lady who has had a kid, you
- 20:56Speaker 1: might know what I'm talking about. But I would guess
- 20:59Speaker 1: within maybe a day two, baby G probably arriving, and
- 21:03Speaker 1: if not, she needs a little more time to bake,
- 21:05Speaker 1: that's totally fine.
- 21:06Speaker 3: Mom and dad will just wait.
- 21:07Speaker 1: Yeah, but I realized something the other day when I
- 21:09Speaker 1: was at the grocery store, and you, I think I'm
- 21:11Speaker 1: getting old obviously or old fashioned here. And I don't
- 21:15Speaker 1: want to make anyone feel bad here this morning. Okay,
- 21:19Speaker 1: your clothes are your choice, you do what you want.
- 21:22Speaker 1: But does this seem that clothing for younger girls is
- 21:27Speaker 1: getting more revealing and revealing.
- 21:28Speaker 3: By the day.
- 21:29Speaker 1: Am I old and just crazy? I was grocery shopping
- 21:33Speaker 1: the other day and I'm not kidding you. There was
- 21:35Speaker 1: probably three to four younger ladies probably in their teens,
- 21:40Speaker 1: you know, and these ladies happen to have shorts on
- 21:44Speaker 1: with holes everywhere where. I felt like we were getting
- 21:48Speaker 1: a little cheeky for being fifteen sixteen at Walmart, you
- 21:51Speaker 1: know what I mean. Now, maybe they were in college.
- 21:53Speaker 1: And I just don't know the ages of young people
- 21:55Speaker 1: these days because I'm thirty five.
- 21:57Speaker 3: But I was a little bit concerned.
- 21:59Speaker 1: I was like, are you telling me as these clothes
- 22:02Speaker 1: appear to get more revealing and revealing as the years
- 22:05Speaker 1: go on. When I'm fifty and baby G is fifteen, Yeah,
- 22:10Speaker 1: we're going to be at the grocery store wearing floss.
- 22:15Speaker 3: Maybe I'm just getting old, I don't.
- 22:17Speaker 4: Know, you know what.
- 22:18Speaker 2: So I am definitely a proponent of, like, we're not
- 22:21Speaker 2: going to police what women wear. What girls wear summer
- 22:25Speaker 2: it's hot wear, shorts, wear the tank top where the
- 22:29Speaker 2: mid drift, like, I don't care, but if there's holes where,
- 22:33Speaker 2: like if we're seeing cheek, I don't want to see
- 22:35Speaker 2: cheek on a grown woman, So I don't want to
- 22:38Speaker 2: see cheek on it. I don't want to see cheek
- 22:41Speaker 2: on a child. So I just think in terms of
- 22:44Speaker 2: like what I think is appropriate just.
- 22:47Speaker 4: In general being out in the world as a.
- 22:49Speaker 2: Human the same way I'm not trying to see dudes
- 22:52Speaker 2: cheeks out, but.
- 22:53Speaker 1: In size you're all about that well obviously, because.
- 22:57Speaker 2: That's right, because that's not a crime right to have,
- 23:00Speaker 2: Like you can have your eyes out, that's right.
- 23:04Speaker 4: What is happening here?
- 23:06Speaker 2: But no, I do think that there has been it's
- 23:09Speaker 2: not necessarily more revealing. What I've noticed is that girls
- 23:14Speaker 2: these days don't have to go through the ugly, awkward
- 23:17Speaker 2: stage with crappy clothes. Because if I look back at
- 23:20Speaker 2: the pictures of myself in the nineties when I was young.
- 23:26Speaker 4: In the nineties, where I'm like an elementary.
- 23:28Speaker 2: School in middle school, and the outfits that I was
- 23:31Speaker 2: wearing and my classmates were wearing, versus what these middle
- 23:35Speaker 2: schools are wearing middle schoolers are wearing now, Like we
- 23:38Speaker 2: just had ugly things, Like whoever.
- 23:40Speaker 4: Was designing for us was like.
- 23:42Speaker 2: Well, they're kids, so surely they like to look like crap,
- 23:45Speaker 2: and that's like the outfits that we had.
- 23:48Speaker 4: I think they're just more fashionable.
- 23:50Speaker 3: Fashion is just a little bit more to the fore fashionable. Yeah,
- 23:53Speaker 3: they're more social media or something on that.
- 23:55Speaker 2: With social media, Yes, I think that that's what it is,
- 23:57Speaker 2: because let me tell you, I had an when I
- 24:00Speaker 2: was little that I loved just because I thought it
- 24:03Speaker 2: was cool that it matched. It was like a matching
- 24:06Speaker 2: scrunchy to match my like two piece set that had
- 24:09Speaker 2: some horrific print on it that was.
- 24:12Speaker 4: Like green and pink and gold, and it was not cute.
- 24:16Speaker 4: It was not cute. But back then it was like,
- 24:18Speaker 4: but it's a matching set with a matching scrunchy. That's
- 24:20Speaker 4: the best we can do for fashion guys.
- 24:22Speaker 1: Yeah, and I wonder too, you know, maybe as I
- 24:25Speaker 1: get prepared to enter this new phase of life, maybe
- 24:28Speaker 1: it's just something I noticed more. Maybe this has been
- 24:30Speaker 1: going on forever and I just never cared because I
- 24:32Speaker 1: never had to think about a fifteen year old daughter
- 24:35Speaker 1: in my life at any point. And now there's times
- 24:37Speaker 1: I'm walking around the store, I'm like, oh my God,
- 24:39Speaker 1: can my daughter please, for the love of God, just
- 24:42Speaker 1: loves sweatpants and hoodies.
- 24:43Speaker 4: I think you just know.
- 24:45Speaker 2: That there are enough gross men in the world and
- 24:48Speaker 2: you are not one, right, but there are enough gross
- 24:51Speaker 2: men in the world that you're concerned about what gross
- 24:55Speaker 2: men could be thinking or saying or doing.
- 24:58Speaker 4: If your daughter's just exaust the world.
- 25:01Speaker 3: So this is parenting. Yep.
- 25:03Speaker 1: You know you all lied to me and told me
- 25:05Speaker 1: this would be a great time, and now all I
- 25:07Speaker 1: do is walk around concerned all day.
- 25:16Speaker 2: I took myself to the Fargo Theater. Well, Mikey took
- 25:19Speaker 2: me to the Fargo Theater.
- 25:20Speaker 1: I know you didn't drive there because that thing is downtown,
- 25:24Speaker 1: and Angie does not drive downtown. Parks around downtown and
- 25:28Speaker 1: then walks to downtown.
- 25:30Speaker 2: Stop clocking me at eight forty one in the morning.
- 25:34Speaker 2: But we went to the Fargo Theater to watch Obsession.
- 25:36Speaker 2: My sister had seen it. I respect her movie recommendations,
- 25:41Speaker 2: and so I watched it. It's a bit of a
- 25:42Speaker 2: horror film if you haven't heard of it. Obsession was
- 25:47Speaker 2: such a mind trip that it has stuck with me
- 25:51Speaker 2: since July third. It is now what four days since then?
- 25:55Speaker 2: I cannot stop thinking about it, and no one here
- 25:58Speaker 2: at work has watched it that I've asked, and I'm stressed.
- 26:03Speaker 2: I'm like upset about it because I feel like I
- 26:06Speaker 2: know means me.
- 26:07Speaker 4: Yeh, I need you to watch it.
- 26:10Speaker 2: It's so good and I've gone down all these rabbit
- 26:13Speaker 2: holes of people dissecting the movie on social media, and
- 26:17Speaker 2: it's something that has really stuck with me, and so
- 26:22Speaker 2: it got me thinking, what is a movie that, after
- 26:25Speaker 2: the first time you watched it, it just stuck with you. You
- 26:28Speaker 2: couldn't get it out of your head and your soul
- 26:30Speaker 2: in your heart. Because for me right now, it's obsession.
- 26:34Speaker 2: I did post this on the Big ninety eight point
- 26:36Speaker 2: seven Facebook page. I feel like it tends.
- 26:38Speaker 4: To be horror films that do this.
- 26:41Speaker 2: Because Melissa said The Strangers. Have you seen The Strangers?
- 26:46Speaker 6: Ah?
- 26:46Speaker 3: Maybe which one's that one?
- 26:47Speaker 6: Do they get?
- 26:48Speaker 1: Like the Pillowcase Masks? Yes, I've watched that movie in
- 26:51Speaker 1: high school. It freaked me out for like a week.
- 26:53Speaker 4: Yes, it sticks with you, Gabe. What is a movie
- 26:57Speaker 4: like that that sticks with you?
- 26:58Speaker 2: I asked our one of our bosses, James, and he
- 27:02Speaker 2: said that the movie It or the I guess it
- 27:05Speaker 2: was a mini series back then, the Old School It
- 27:08Speaker 2: with the clown.
- 27:09Speaker 4: Jim Curry is the clown.
- 27:10Speaker 2: Yeah, that that stuck with him. So I feel like
- 27:12Speaker 2: it tends to be horror movies.
- 27:15Speaker 4: What about you?
- 27:16Speaker 1: I have like three that really jumped to mind right away. Okay,
- 27:21Speaker 1: the movie Blow starring Johnny Depp about George Jung, Yes,
- 27:25Speaker 1: who trafficked illegal drugs.
- 27:28Speaker 4: Yeah, and I why made that stick with you?
- 27:30Speaker 1: I think it was the because that movie came out
- 27:32Speaker 1: in two thousand and one, so I would have been eleven,
- 27:35Speaker 1: probably way too young to be watching that.
- 27:37Speaker 4: Movie, right, Yes, first of all, Yeah, but.
- 27:39Speaker 1: I remember it was the first time I feel like
- 27:42Speaker 1: I was kind of cheering for this guy who inherently
- 27:46Speaker 1: is not a great person.
- 27:47Speaker 3: You know, he's very he's very selfish.
- 27:49Speaker 1: He's doing something very illegal, something very dangerous and harmful
- 27:51Speaker 1: to other people, and you know, it was just all
- 27:54Speaker 1: about them.
- 27:54Speaker 3: Benjamin's and I.
- 27:55Speaker 4: Were rooting for him.
- 27:56Speaker 3: I was kind of rooting for him.
- 27:58Speaker 1: And when he got caught at the end, it went
- 27:59Speaker 1: to jail, which rightfully, so right, I remember feeling bad
- 28:03Speaker 1: for him. Oh, it was the first time I and
- 28:06Speaker 1: you were eleven.
- 28:08Speaker 2: That must have felt so like because I know, as
- 28:10Speaker 2: an adult now you can think like, well, there's good
- 28:12Speaker 2: and bad in everyone and well, but eleven you must
- 28:15Speaker 2: have thought, oh my gosh, am I.
- 28:16Speaker 3: Like, am I a horrible person?
- 28:18Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 28:18Speaker 1: I remember cheering for this bad guy. The second one
- 28:21Speaker 1: would be The Revenant with d DiCaprio. I remember, just man,
- 28:26Speaker 1: the will to live is incredible. The things got that. Now,
- 28:30Speaker 1: if there's the zombie apocalypse, Angie's out.
- 28:32Speaker 2: Yeah, I volunteers tribute. I'm not a survival a survivalist
- 28:35Speaker 2: at all. So you saw The Revenant and it stuck
- 28:38Speaker 2: with you because I had you thinking, what, like.
- 28:40Speaker 4: You could do that?
- 28:40Speaker 1: Well, yeah, I could outrun a grizzly bear. I'm falling
- 28:43Speaker 1: off a mountain, I'm sleeping in a horse, you know,
- 28:45Speaker 1: the whole nine yards. So it was just kind of
- 28:48Speaker 1: interesting that this, you know, somewhat true or based on
- 28:50Speaker 1: true events, story of what this guy did to get
- 28:54Speaker 1: back home or whatever, kind of incredible. And then the
- 28:56Speaker 1: last one will be the sand Lot.
- 28:59Speaker 4: One of us that's wildly different than your last two shows.
- 29:02Speaker 3: That's right, That's how I knew. I like Ladies.
- 29:04Speaker 1: Wendy Peppercorn my first ever crush that has stuck with
- 29:08Speaker 1: me for Why didn't I see that? I don't know
- 29:10Speaker 1: when I was six, So what's the mat there? Twenty
- 29:12Speaker 1: nine years? Wow, I've had that crush on Wendy Peppercorn
- 29:16Speaker 1: seven oh one, two eight zero, very three very different answers.
- 29:20Speaker 2: No, what though this makes sense know who your wife is,
- 29:23Speaker 2: because I feel like Corey has very Wendy peppercorn vibe
- 29:26Speaker 2: kinda yeah.
- 29:27Speaker 1: Seven oh one, two, eight zero one, nine eighty seven.
- 29:30Speaker 1: Is there a movie that, for whatever reason, is just
- 29:32Speaker 1: stuck with you for a long time? As Angie's new
- 29:35Speaker 1: obsession is.
- 29:36Speaker 5: Obsession starting off the day with something good. This is
- 29:46Speaker 5: Gabe's good news on Big ninety eight point seven.
- 29:50Speaker 1: It turns out if you build it, people really will come.
- 29:53Speaker 1: That's not just a saying from that baseball movie.
- 29:57Speaker 3: Thank you.
- 29:58Speaker 1: I don't know why I wanted to say Hornfield of
- 30:00Speaker 1: Dreams that I knew that was wrong having been lived
- 30:03Speaker 1: in Iowa.
- 30:05Speaker 4: We digressay.
- 30:07Speaker 1: The brand new Morehead Public Library is already seeing a
- 30:11Speaker 1: big jump in both library card sign ups and book
- 30:14Speaker 1: checkouts since moving into its new home at the Loop.
- 30:17Speaker 1: Library leaders say more people are discovering everything the new
- 30:22Speaker 1: space has to offer, from books and suddy areas to
- 30:25Speaker 1: places where families can gather, kids can play, and neighbors
- 30:28Speaker 1: can connect.
- 30:29Speaker 3: It's a great.
- 30:29Speaker 1: Reminder that the world full of with the world full
- 30:33Speaker 1: of screens, excuse me, people still create a crave community
- 30:36Speaker 1: and creativity and apparently, a really good book and it's
- 30:40Speaker 1: not just the Fargo Public or excuse me, the more
- 30:43Speaker 1: Head Library, but the Fargo Public Library has the Reading
- 30:46Speaker 1: Challenge going on this summer.
- 30:47Speaker 3: So it's really cool.
- 30:48Speaker 1: The libraries right here in our community still finding ways
- 30:51Speaker 1: to kind of get the screens kick to the side
- 30:54Speaker 1: a tiny bit and you know, get the creativity flowing,
- 30:56Speaker 1: the imagination going in books being opened.
- 30:59Speaker 4: You know, one love a library. That's my dream date.
- 31:02Speaker 2: And then also the Theodore Roosevelt Presidential Library.
- 31:06Speaker 4: Libraries are having a moment right now.
- 31:08Speaker 1: Libraries are like the Somber of Big ninety eight point seven.
- 31:11Speaker 3: Somber is kind of having a moment too.
- 31:14Speaker 1: Your Gabe's good News of the day always ends with
- 31:16Speaker 1: my favorite quote, and that's broken crayons still color, and
- 31:19Speaker 1: the world is full of nice people.
- 31:21Speaker 3: If you can't find one, you gotta be one.
