- 0:00Good morning. Welcome to today's pre-market podcast. So what's on my radar? It was a good trading session yesterday. We had the bounce in the offshore index up by 2.1%. So we're back above the 230k levels. That's a good thing to see. I think we're either going to stay where we are or inch up for that in today's trading session. But for the specific stocks on my radar, May and Baker.
- 0:29as well as CAP. They were some of the stocks that declined yesterday. Now, CAP is particularly on my radar because it's trading close to what's my entry point. CAP is trading at about 12 times our forward earnings. My target entry price is around 11 times earnings. So if I can have another maybe 5%, 6% decline in CAP or even a 10% or 15% decline in CAP, then I'm good to go.
- 0:58For more context, you can cross over to the video side of things. The video should be up at 6 a.m. Nigerian time. The Fugas Banks, collectively and individually, Zenit Bank is on my radar as well. Zenit has always been on my radar for the last couple of weeks because it's one of the big five banks by size in the country and it's trading below book value. In fact, with the market recovery we had yesterday, I was expecting Zenit to close in the green.
- 1:26But instead, it fell slightly. So, certainly trading at 105, trading at about 0.83 times book value, I think that's a good place to start to accumulate that stock. Weimar is on my radar, but for this time, it's a whole situation because it's trading close to the 30 Naira mark. I've always felt that 25 Naira is a good entry point for Weimar, 22, 25, if we can catch it at 22. So, Weimar almost 30 Naira.
- 1:56How are we going to see it break out above that? Let's see what today's trading session would tell us. On the trade side of things, CAP dipped as well yesterday. An interesting thing is that at its current price, CAP is trading at default earnings that's cheaper than Vega Prince. And really, the competition in that space, you have four players, but the competition, in my view, is between CAP and Vega because of their size. I mean, when you look at...
- 2:25revenues and all those things. I'm looking at profit after tax. Estimated profit after tax for CAP probably will come in at 6.3 billion, bigger at 1.8 billion. So even CAP could add up all the profits for the other firms and they wouldn't equate to CAP. So CAP is a huge player. I would argue that by size, due to its size, CAP should trade at a higher multiple. But bigger though.
- 2:52i've been slightly more expensive by folding is has a higher and his kicker beggar five years kicker is 50.4 percent cap at 31.3 so those are the stocks on my reader um the market yesterday he had broad recovery across all players let's see how it ships out today i'm switching over to the pigeon english side of things my people are nadir well i said
