I did essentially nothing but leveling, which I like playing

I actually was thinking it was very interesting this time how

quickly a thing that became. It was a luxury that allowed me

to relax and not stress became kind of an obligation this time

because I missed like a day and 1/2 of early access and I was so

stressed. I was like, all of my friends

are gonna be so far ahead of me. I'm already such a slow player.

I'm such a slow gear. I'm gonna be so far behind.

I need to like get on this and be pushing and pushing and

pushing because if not, I'm not gonna be ready for raid night

because and everyone's already gonna be, you know, doing their

mythic plus. And every time I see one of my

friends do like a heroic or something, I'm like, oh God, I

knew it. I knew I've been so far ahead of

me. So I'm trying to kind of let

that go. And in fact, I did lie a little

bit at the beginning of this episode.

I did take last night off because I realized that I was

already feeling a little bit of that like stress.

And I was like, if I burn myself out on the first day of the

expansion release, we're going to have a bad time.

So I had a nice little night. I snuggled with my dog.

I read a book, I relaxed. And then I came back in and I

ate dinner in front of the game today because I really want to

finish voice fire, But I'm having a lot of fun.

I, I am, I, I, I think having that extra time to play does

mean that I, this stress would have been so much more acute if

this was, you know, I'd missed a day and it was a week and a half

before the first rate unlocks. So I do really appreciate having

that extra time to play through and and feel a little bit more

wiggle room. That is, that's noteworthy how

quickly the the unusual benefit of early access has become sort

of normalized and almost expected.

Yeah, and I worry a lot about folks because it is really

expensive to get early access. And I, I hope that that anxiety

is me being insane and stupid and not a trickle down thing

that the people who don't have early access feel like they're

starting out behind. And like, to be clear, I, I

don't think anyone who's like, I don't think that if you didn't

have early access, you'd be grinding right now because it's

not going to be super far behind.

And I would certainly never expect that of like my team or

my friends or anything like that.

And so I, I hope truly and genuinely that this is me being

crazy and not that the game has kind of set this new expectation

I hard stuck to it. I don't do demon hours.

I don't push all night long. I get up at 6630 when shadow

wakes me up. I play till 9:30 or 10 a couple

of nights because I was still quite a bit under the weather

from North Ren Live a couple of nights.

I went to bed early. I went to bed at like 9:00 and

just shut her down. But I with the War Within, I did

zone by zone, completing every quest in each zone as I went.

But I I tackled it with a different plan this time and I

just did. I mainlined the campaign and so

my first trip through was just campaign quests and I actually

feel like it made the campaign feel like a tighter, better

story than the War Within's main campaign was.

All of this with the exception of Herndar.

I have it has as like as of three hours ago or so it this my

opinion changed. But up until that point, I hated

the Herndar zone with a fiery burning passion.

And it's nothing to do with the Heroneer, it's nothing to do

with the questing. It's nothing to do with the zone

itself. It's because they forced me to

use dynamic flight in a zone that is just roots.

So every time I took off, I flew into something.

The stories are heart warming. Some of them are hilarious, but

that was like really angry at that zone for a long time, but

one within it allows me to slow down, take my time.

I got 3 characters level to 90. I got Loremaster done.

I just relaxed and was chill for four days, I guess five days

because I mean, I just finished levelling that third character

But yeah, I, I really enjoyed it.

I thought it was a great launch. No, no disconnecting issues, no

zoning issues for me. I know some of the higher pop

realms had some issues at launch where they couldn't get in right

away for about 1520 minutes. But I'm my main is in a very low

pop realm. So it takes an act of God for us

not to be able to get on and play well.

I went through on like I've now levelled up my second character,

but that one I did in a the most inefficient way possible, like 9

I, I think that I have really come to love war mode again.

And I'm glad like we talked about the MMO of the game and

And I love that the world comes alive like that cannot be done

levelling in war mode and they weren't even like in the world

stuff. And somebody saw them who was

the opposite faction and killed them.

OK, fair play. I mean, they're in warm mode.

They get it. That's, you know, par for the

So they they come back to their body, they resurrect, the person

is still there. They kill them again, so they go

back to their body, they come back, they're like, OK, now it's

getting a little bit much and they kill them again.

So that this person was camping was farming them and camping

them. So my friend reports them for

for griefing or whatever. And then they're 'cause my

friend hangs out in Discord while they play.

Somebody from the Guild who's not like in the Guild but is

like a friend of the Guild or adjacent, pops into Discord and

starts laughing and says, hey, is this your character?

And my friend said, yeah, that's my character.

And they said, oh, I've been killing you.

And my friend was like, you have ruined my morning.

And they laughed harder. So anyway that that has been

rectified. That situation has been, you

know, that is not acceptable. The camping is wrong.

But when somebody tells you that you've done something that has

upset them, the response isn't to laugh at them.

The response is to apologize and be a decent human being.

That I believe that person has been removed from our circles,

but don't that's the lesson here is like in this case, they

happen to know who why they didn't know that they knew who

they were the camping. That's just something apparently

they do for fun. If you're somebody like I get

warm mode, you want to kill somebody because you see the

camping and framing somebody, you're an asshole.

have I think is with PV peers, like PvP mains in general, I

just feel like a lot of them really just want to be bullies.

They don't enjoy fair fights. They're not interested in

fighting somebody of the same item level or the same skill.

They only want to pick on people who aren't as good as them.

And that's why they get so upset when things like the training

grounds come out and suddenly all of the people who aren't as

good at PvP aren't in the battlegrounds to get farmed by

these guys and instead they're fighting bots.

Anyway, that's my rant. I'm so glad that you don't

Well, I think that there are reasons to engage and it is PvP,

waiting. And that is, that is horrible.

But I have also heard like that it's broken out into like big,

Because like I, I grew up on a PvP server.

I can actually say grew up now because World of Warcraft is so

old and I could say it was part of my formative year.

So like I, I like war mode and PvP servers have been just

something that I have done for so long and I have loved when

conflicts have sparked. And so like everybody calls in

their Guild and then it's a big flashpoint and suddenly we've

got like the big fight. Like you would have it Brill and

and and Torin Mill were like all or crossroads or any of those

those sort of places. And some of that has actually

happened already. And I I think that's wonderful.

That's why they have the drops to like get people to come

together for that sort of stuff and have some flash PvP.

I sometimes don't kill anybody and find the victory and getting

the six tanks that's like this maybe doesn't feel great, but

all of the other like we are in a renaissance era of tanks right

exceptionally good. Depending on your group comp, I

and they all feel really well. They're all going to clear the

But I'm really excited for it. And we have a listener who is

that I was able to speak to the class that they're playing from

a position of experience as opposed to just from reading.

on that went around, I was shocked to find that rogue was

it was Paladin. And then Rogue was #2 and I

haven't played my rogue since Wrath of the Lich King, and

really not since Burning Crusade and very, and Burner Crusade was

like a hard swap to prop out. So it was only played very

little in Burner Crusade. So I, I obviously put way too

much hours on vanilla on my rogue, but it kind of made me

want to get a little stabby. So maybe we'll maybe we'll

dabble with some rogue. OK, I feel like that is a lot to

are they all? Are they going to have them all

raid ready? No, no, no, no.

So for the raid, it'll be my prop warrior, prop paladin and

death knight. The death knight is just in case

that there's anything that like require grips.

The role I fill on our team is I'm the the third slash

emergency tank. So if one of our tanks misses a

raid knight or if we need like if you need a custom, not neat,

but if a, if a specific tank class makes your life easier

that one of our two main tanks is in playing, then I will fill

that role. And then I 21st man.

Aside from that, So last year, because of you know, what

happened, I ended up tanking 5 of 8 Prague bosses, including

the last three. So yeah, it just was just the

way that it went. But yeah, so my, my death knight

will be ready to go. My warrior will be ready to go.

And my paladin is the one that I'm tanking in the one day a

week killed on on the weekends on an 8.

Now I say that, but I mean, really, if I'm doing mythic plus

on them, the rest of them will be close to go like they would

all be able to rate heroic. But just whether or not I put

them in mythic because the, the goal will be when I hit what I

typically do is any tank that I'm not maning will get, you

know, one or the other one or two boxes in the vault a week on

the myth track and just sort of passively keeping them close.

Well, the rest of the, the characters are they, they start,

they'll start off probably just going hero track stuff, delve
