- 1:44Speaker 1: So Kyle was gone last week and you know there's
- 1:46Speaker 1: a text message here Kyle. Let me read this text
- 1:48Speaker 1: mess We missed us some Kyle didn't we I know?
- 1:50Speaker 1: It says it says here, hold on, hold on, darn it,
- 1:54Speaker 1: Wait a minute, this is really important. Boom ah. Is
- 1:59Speaker 1: it weird to say I'm on the same flight with
- 2:02Speaker 1: Kyle but I don't actually say hi because that feels evasive.
- 2:06Speaker 2: Anyway, Hi Kyle, Hi. They should have said hi?
- 2:10Speaker 4: Right, Yeah, I know, I know, I know.
- 2:13Speaker 2: So how was your vague? It was a family reunion
- 2:16Speaker 2: right now?
- 2:16Speaker 5: Yeah, we had a family reunion up in northern Colorado
- 2:19Speaker 5: and it had been planned for about two years and
- 2:22Speaker 5: so there was a lot of hype in the family
- 2:25Speaker 5: leading up to this, because my aunt put a lot
- 2:27Speaker 5: of work, actually, all my aunts and my mom there's
- 2:30Speaker 5: they're four sisters, and they put a ton of work
- 2:33Speaker 5: into planning this thing. And I have to admit, like,
- 2:36Speaker 5: going into it, I was kind of rolling my eyes
- 2:38Speaker 5: a little bit looking at the itinerary.
- 2:40Speaker 4: Because my one aunt had planned like circle.
- 2:43Speaker 5: Nights what else, to get very deep, and I was like, oh,
- 2:48Speaker 5: it's gonna.
- 2:48Speaker 4: Be like I don't know.
- 2:50Speaker 5: I was just expecting something like dreadful, right, like, well, okay,
- 2:53Speaker 5: we're gonna say her in chat for the whole time,
- 2:55Speaker 5: and like.
- 2:56Speaker 4: It was so much fun.
- 2:58Speaker 5: Like the first night was like so like a welcome
- 3:00Speaker 5: Knie for everyone to sort of just get together. And
- 3:02Speaker 5: she had one of those big parachutes like you had
- 3:04Speaker 5: in grade school, right, and all the kids like they
- 3:07Speaker 5: were like punting these little globes up in the air
- 3:10Speaker 5: and they were having the greatest time. And it was
- 3:12Speaker 5: fun just to see everyone, all my cousins and my
- 3:14Speaker 5: mom's sisters. And then the next night was our like
- 3:18Speaker 5: family history night, and I'm not like a history person,
- 3:21Speaker 5: so I was kind of like and then we wait,
- 3:23Speaker 5: and it was amazing my aunt had put together literally
- 3:27Speaker 5: all these photos of our ancestors and like these World
- 3:31Speaker 5: War veterans and far backs, really cool stuff like the
- 3:35Speaker 5: eighteen hundreds. Yeah, and she traced me back, like you know,
- 3:38Speaker 5: our roots, like the six different countries we have that
- 3:42Speaker 5: have contributed to all of our genetics and stuff like that,
- 3:45Speaker 5: and that was really cool. And what I found really
- 3:47Speaker 5: touching was they actually had an old letter that my
- 3:49Speaker 5: grandpa had written his mom when he was on a
- 3:52Speaker 5: naval ship because he served in the Navy. And it
- 3:55Speaker 5: was so cool because it was literally written in nineteen
- 3:57Speaker 5: forty four and he's like, hey, Mom, today was pretty swell.
- 4:03Speaker 4: It's just like reading his writing.
- 4:04Speaker 5: He's like, ps, could you please send me the sports
- 4:07Speaker 5: clippings I had in the paper? And I was like,
- 4:09Speaker 5: this is just the coolest thing ever to see this
- 4:12Speaker 5: physical history of our family. And then so the next
- 4:16Speaker 5: night we did have circle talk, and our whole family
- 4:19Speaker 5: literally sat in a circle and we just shared stories
- 4:22Speaker 5: of our grandparents who have now passed away and this.
- 4:26Speaker 4: Year they both would.
- 4:27Speaker 5: Have turned one hundred years old, and so everyone was
- 4:29Speaker 5: just sharing stories and it was really cool to hear
- 4:30Speaker 5: everyone's different perspective of each one of their personalities and
- 4:33Speaker 5: how they sort of shaped.
- 4:35Speaker 4: Us as people and as a family.
- 4:37Speaker 5: And we did some really cool excursions too, Like we
- 4:39Speaker 5: went horseback riding and whitewater rafting, and we did these
- 4:42Speaker 5: really cool ropes courses and like we tubed down this
- 4:47Speaker 5: giant hill and played mini golf and it was just
- 4:49Speaker 5: like really pure family fun.
- 4:50Speaker 2: Where was it, Like what city?
- 4:51Speaker 5: It's in Granby, Colorado. It's a really small mountain town,
- 4:55Speaker 5: but it's a YMCA.
- 4:56Speaker 2: Yeah. Oh, so you go there. You go to mc
- 4:59Speaker 2: and they set up all the rafting and all that.
- 5:00Speaker 5: Well, you you kind of have to organize your outside excursions.
- 5:03Speaker 5: But there's so much to do on the property, like
- 5:05Speaker 5: the horseback ridings on the property, the two beings on
- 5:07Speaker 5: the property, the ropes courses are on the property. There's
- 5:09Speaker 5: like a reservoir where you can go.
- 5:11Speaker 4: Uh canoeing.
- 5:12Speaker 2: If are you the other people there?
- 5:14Speaker 1: No?
- 5:14Speaker 5: No, it's a really big, big property. So there were
- 5:16Speaker 5: a lot of different families.
- 5:17Speaker 1: So it reminds me of like a young life.
- 5:22Speaker 4: No, it was like summer camp with our family. This
- 5:24Speaker 4: is really cool.
- 5:25Speaker 2: That's exciting. What about did you get a good TV time?
- 5:27Speaker 2: Did you get to watch TV.
- 5:28Speaker 4: I didn't watch any TV while we were there. It
- 5:30Speaker 4: was really go go, go, go, go, go, go, go go.
- 5:32Speaker 5: And then you texted me that I had to watch
- 5:34Speaker 5: Maternal Instinct. Downloaded that for the airplane and that was
- 5:39Speaker 5: just a really messed up documentary about this lady and
- 5:42Speaker 5: it was a big, huge news story.
- 5:43Speaker 4: I remember she literally murdered her friend and stole her
- 5:46Speaker 4: baby out of her belly, and that was wild.
- 5:49Speaker 5: And then I did start watching the new season of
- 5:51Speaker 5: America's Sweethearts the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders.
- 5:54Speaker 2: Oh, I start watching that.
- 5:55Speaker 4: Which so far, it's so good. It definitely lives up
- 5:57Speaker 4: to the other seasons.
- 5:57Speaker 5: And now when I think about schools, this season is
- 6:00Speaker 5: the first season that they're doing auditions since the show
- 6:03Speaker 5: came out, and everyone knows the show came out, So
- 6:05Speaker 5: they're having all these people and they're like questioning their
- 6:08Speaker 5: motives whether they're here here, you're here for the cowboys?
- 6:11Speaker 5: Are you here for the exposure?
- 6:12Speaker 2: What about uh? I will find you.
- 6:14Speaker 5: I'm on episode I finished that. I could not stop
- 6:17Speaker 5: watching them. But I think it's I think it's number
- 6:19Speaker 5: one on Netflix right now.
- 6:21Speaker 4: That's so good.
- 6:21Speaker 5: It's a Harlan corbyt I love that guy.
- 6:25Speaker 2: Everything he does is so good.
- 6:26Speaker 5: So that show it's so gripping because the show opens
- 6:30Speaker 5: up and it's like this guy who's in prison for
- 6:32Speaker 5: murdering his son, and then you find out he didn't
- 6:35Speaker 5: murder his son and his sons still alive, and that
- 6:38Speaker 5: he escaped from prison and he's trying to find who
- 6:40Speaker 5: actually has his son.
- 6:42Speaker 1: From beginning till I'm on episode three, and from beginning
- 6:44Speaker 1: to so far episode three, it's one hundred miles an hour.
- 6:46Speaker 4: Yeah, it's so good.
- 6:47Speaker 2: Yeah, it's what's so far? To me?
- 6:49Speaker 1: It looks it seems like a modern day version of
- 6:51Speaker 1: the Fugitive. He escapes to prision and he's trying to
- 6:54Speaker 1: solve his own crime. Yeah, and proved that he's innocent,
- 6:57Speaker 1: which is exactly what the Fugitive was. Yeah, right, right, right,
- 6:59Speaker 1: which still holds up moving
